Starting point is 00:00:13 Wow. Welcome everybody. Fantasy football today. Fantasy relevant stuff going to be discussed, but we are going to have some fun. Dave, Jamie Heath. Good morning, everybody. Hello, Dave. I just want to know if you're wearing the matching tuxedo pants with the tuxedo jacket, shirt, and tie.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Do you have a cumberbund on? I don't. I didn't wear the vest. I have the bow tie. I was a little late because my wife got home, like, just in time to help me finish tying the bowie. tie. But yeah, I'm very uncomfortable. I also don't have cufflinks, so the shirt
Starting point is 00:00:57 is a mess underneath this jacket. But I just know what the bottoms are. Stand up. I just have sweatpants on. No, no, I got to see it. Stand up. That's okay. Jamie's asking to see your pants.
Starting point is 00:01:07 That's okay. But this is my wedding tucks, which I still sort of fit in. So, there we go. I can remember that. Tucks, right? Yeah. I heard all about it. Anyway, we're doing some games today.
Starting point is 00:01:20 That's when you were next to Nando walking down the aisle, right? That's exactly right. Fantasy Football at CBSI.com is our email address. Fantasy football at CBSI.com. That's the letter I. I should have asked you this before we started, but does anybody have any fantasy? You know what?
Starting point is 00:01:34 How about this? We've done some mock drafts. Just off the top of your head, give me a player that you find yourself drafting a lot. I'm only asking you this. I'm going to give you time to think. Because we don't have a ton of fantasy analysis on today's show. So let's just give a little bit of that.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Who's ready to tell me who they've been drafted? drafting a lot in our drafts. Dave, go ahead. Jack Prescott. Okay, why? Love the value, love the opportunity cost of getting him with a mid-round pick, maybe even like a little bit later, because you know in our drafts, quarterbacks always go later on, but I love the receiving core. I still think Dallas is going to have to throw a lot. We know that, what is it, three of his last five years, he's been averaging around 24 fantasy points per game and six point. He just, he feels like an easy bargain that,
Starting point is 00:02:20 you can lock up in 1QB leagues. Who's next? Sam LaPorte. Okay. Why, Heath? Partially, he's been awesome since he came into the NFL. I think he is a top six tight-in, and he's the guy that always goes after the top six tight-ins.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I find him in round seven. I find him in round eight, while players that have fewer projected points for me get drafted in round four and five. Okay, Jamie. you've had plenty of time to think. I mean, since you went above and beyond, I'm going to hopefully try and do the same. So I'll give you three.
Starting point is 00:02:57 One is Christian Watson. Two is Marvin Harrison, Jr., and three is a charger. So I find myself taking a charger in every draft because I'm just excited about Mike McDaniel being there. And I think that the value on a lot of their players is typically very good. So I take a charger in almost every draft. Christian Watson, I expect to have a big season if he stays healthy, just because of the thinned out receiving core and what we saw from him last year.
Starting point is 00:03:22 So they may have their actual number one wide receiver. And Marvin Harrison Jr. just always falls to a spot where it feels like it's the right time to take him. Usually it's in that round six, seven range. No joke there. But I think just in the case of Harrison, we saw a very, very small sample size of him with Jacoby Brissette, and I think it would have been a great finish for him
Starting point is 00:03:43 had he stayed healthy with Brissette. So hopefully Brissette is there and the starting quarterback for the majority of the season. and we get to see a little bit of what Michael Wilson did from Marvin Harrison, Gene. And I glad you brought that up is I think 6-7 is pretty much done, right? Only the old heads are referring to it now. Like when my wife is a preschool teacher and when she starts coming home and doing the whole 6-7 bit, that's when you know it's Jump the Shark.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Yeah. If anybody says it, it's almost ironic at this point. Heath FFT Dynasty, give me a promo. Yeah, we had to. a one-man mailbag yesterday, and people sent in some fantastic questions about the rookies, also about the veterans, and about winning some Dynasty Championships this year. Go check out the One-Man Mailbag from Tuesday. We, and I bet you, I bet you, some of the questions Heathread Tuesday are going to be read on today's show as well, because we share it inbox. So we'll see.
Starting point is 00:04:41 But anyway, well, you know, I mean, there's no way that you could have known that I would be answering the dynasty questions that were in your inbox when I talked. told you on Monday that we were doing a one-man mail bank. I do think it's okay to answer to answer them on multiple shows. Right. I think it's fine. I think get some other opinions on there. This is a free man-man.
Starting point is 00:04:57 You share an inbox. Invitations can go back and forth. What does that mean? Like for my wedding? Yep. Okay. So today we have, I have four game shows planned. Two of them are old ones.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Two of them are new. That is big. New games for me to screw up. Who has more? or game shows, Adam or the game show network. Or CBS. I forgot to do who has more. But let's do some news and notes real quick.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Stefan Diggs still unsigned. He was found not guilty of assaulting his private chef. The NFL and the NFL referee. Yeah, well, it's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's going to get signed now. Yeah, I think it'll hopefully speed up the process. But he still could be disciplined by the NFL, but he was found not guilty.
Starting point is 00:05:45 The NFL and the referees are getting closer to an agreement. so right now it looks like we won't have replacement refs. The Packer signed to Rod Taylor as their backup quarterback, but also they expect Tucker, Kraft, and Michael Parsons back early in the season. So that'd be great for Kraft and Parsons, Parsons, towards ACL later in the year than Kraft. Kraft was week 9, I believe, week 10, somewhere around there. So hold up a second.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Does that mean that they might not participate in training camp? And their return could be like week two or three. maybe they don't start on the pup list, but are we not getting, it kind of makes me a little nervous. Who cares about Parsons unless you're in an IDP league? And even then, I guess it matters. But with craft, I don't want to take him too soon when I have to worry about him needing like a four-week ramp up time just to get into football shape. And it might take him even longer with him coming back from the ACL injury. that makes me want to take Laporta, for example, ahead of Kraft 10 times out of 10 on draft day.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Yeah, I'd be taking Laporte ahead of craft already, but I think in the case of like Kraft and Kittl, for example, because there's sort of different reports that came out on him as well, like if you have IR spots and you could stash those two, and even aside from that, if you have interest in some of these number two tight ends that maybe have some upsides, let's say it's a Kenyan Sadiq, for example. I don't know if he's the ideal person you want to draft to start your season. But if you're looking at, let's say, what you did at him in the last draft we did, where you took Kittle and Travis Kelsey. So a little maybe uncertain about Kelsey.
Starting point is 00:07:23 I'm not saying you, but the market because he's tight end 12, I believe, in fantasy pros, 80P. You know, if you look at that type of plan, you know, you can easily execute it. If you can stash those guys on IR and then hope that by the end of the season, they're playing like the cable playing. Okay. And let's see, Matt Ryan, who's now the president of football operations for the Falcons, he doesn't know if Michael Pennix Jr. will be ready for the start of training camp. I don't think this is news. We kind of knew that. But worth repeating. The Seahawks signed Edge Dante Fowler Jr. do a one-year deal, and the Giants after trading Dexter Lawrence continue to sign veteran defensive tackles.
Starting point is 00:07:59 They signed former Lions defensive tackle DJ Reeder to a two-year deal. Now, if you want to participate in a mock draft and help us out, build up our eight. ADP on CBSports.com. Dave is doing a really cool thing. Our only fans mock drafts. This is only for fans. No, we're not in them. Dave, tell us about how to get in these drafts.
Starting point is 00:08:21 You have to go old school. You got to email me. D. Richard at CBS.com. And you will be put on a list. And when you're up on the list, I will email you back and let you know when the next mock draft is that you can participate in. Our first one is this week. week. Our second and third ones will be next week. So I need some warm bodies and people who want to draft and start figuring out their best draft plans for fantasy this year.
Starting point is 00:08:48 D. Richard at CBS.com, drop me a line. And with that said, let's get it started. Is this a roadjack, by the way? It sounds just like that, doesn't it? Yeah. It's a game show, Jack. Now it's completely different. Now it's not.
Starting point is 00:09:11 First game show is an oldie but goodie. Name that player. Oh. All right? I'll give you guys some hints and you go ahead and name that player. I got three of them. Do we have to say our name to guess? No.
Starting point is 00:09:25 So we just say that you yell the player's name out? Yeah. Now, do you want to play where you only get one guess? If you get it wrong, you're out? I don't know. The game show host should. It seems like the host would know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:35 All right. Well, you know, listen, I screwed up all the time, so I figured I'd get collaborative. I think you do it where we each get one guess. And if we don't guess it, then we get to guess again. Everybody gets at least one guess before you can guess twice. I like that. Okay, I love that. You're good at this.
Starting point is 00:09:47 You should be the host. All right, here we go. Name that. Get your tuxedo out if you want to be the host. Name that player. I lead all wide receivers or tight ends in yak per catch over the last three seasons. Heath. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Who is Tucker Kraft. Wow. Yeah, it's Tucker Kraft. Wow. Wow. 9.1 yards aftercatch per reception. Also, in eight games in 2025, I led my team in receiving yards and touchdowns despite having only two end zone targets, and I was a third round pick in 20203.
Starting point is 00:10:28 So there you go. It is Tucker Kraft. Well done. Also, the last clue, Heath, do you think you would have gotten this? many people prefer me to my arch rival, arch rival Tucker Velvita. Yeah, I think I think I would have gotten out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Wait, wait, do you think that the guy who got it right before you finished your first clue would have got it right on your last book? See, Heath is more likely to get a yak clue than a Tucker Velvita clue, I think. But yeah. He is the all-time name that player champion. He's pretty damn good at all the game shows.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Anyway, Heath, anything you want to say about Tucker Crap? The competition was Pete Priscoe, but he is the all-time winner. My favorite was when I would get messages from Dave during or after the show that he was like playing along. Yeah, I would have beat your ass. I would have got that one, just like he did right there. No, I think we just talked about Tucker Craft. If he's healthy, then he is in the competition. to be one of the top six tight ends, but it's, it's difficult competition. There's a lot of guys
Starting point is 00:11:40 who could be in that group. A good, if he's healthy, a good pick in round six, round seven. If he's not, then he's probably following in round eight or round nine. So since we're, since we're talking trash about each other, so Adam, as a former host of name that player, when I would do the name that player, the guys for name that player, I would not choose guys that we already talked about for news and notes and not have redundancy in the conversation. So I did, I did all the game show stuff last night
Starting point is 00:12:08 and I did the news and notes this morning. So I did not know that Tucker Kraft was going to be. You just leave it out in the news and notes and you just talk about it when we bring it up. I could have. You got to stop talking, Jamie. Otherwise, you're going to end up being the game show host moving forward.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Well, one thing I want to point out about Tucker Kraft is that he doesn't get produced in a conventional way. I mean, he is the best yak guy. He's a low ADOT guy, but he's unbelievable with his yak. And he had four touchdowns or, yeah, four touchdowns of 15 or more yards last year, which is really high. Trey McBride had five and Kraft only played nine games.
Starting point is 00:12:42 So I just want, he doesn't get them any targets, right? He wasn't even on pace for 100 targets, as I recall. He's George Kittle. Yeah, but he's coming off a torn ACL, right? So that's what I'm saying is. He's George Kittle. Yeah, yeah, right. I think the case of what the Packers are looking at is there's a little bit of an unknown, right?
Starting point is 00:12:59 because they've gotten rid of some guys. And, you know, hopefully Kraft is healthy. And we see a little bit of a different passing game. Well, it looks like we're getting more fantasy analysis than I bargain for. Excellent. All right, we have two more name that players. We're going to do them after this commercial break. So everybody put on your fancy clothes and join us after this for more game shows on fantasy football today.
Starting point is 00:13:20 We'll be right back. This is fantastic. Craft yak and cheese. That's great. Yeah. Fantastic team name. In the chat. Good job.
Starting point is 00:13:30 All right. Next up, I haven't missed a game in five seasons. I've had less than a thousand receiving yards in three of my last four seasons. My target per out run rate has decreased in four straight seasons
Starting point is 00:13:47 and was only 15.3% in 2025. Other people with my first name include Tanner, Reader, and LaMayhew. who is DJ Moore Who said it first? Me. I said my name. I answered it in the form of a question.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Dave said who is. I said DJ Moore. Jamie said Jamie said Jamie. Only Heath got it right. Heath wins again. Jamie, you don't have to say your name. Oh, we don't.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Okay. I said who is DJ Moore? Yeah, but I knew the player. Heath definitely said the answer first. It's funny. He also said he's on the wrong game show. I'll give this. one up to, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:32 There's only, it's, you look at DJ Moore's stats. It's just, it's a lot of negatives, you know, he's 29. Like I said, three of his last four years, he hasn't even reached 1,000 yards. The other year, of course, was a 1,300 yard season. Target per hour rate keeps decreasing. So, Dave, why should I have confidence in who is DJ Moore? Because you look at the other receivers that will be made available to you when you get to that group of, like wide receiver 20 through 40 because they're all kind of the same.
Starting point is 00:15:07 And at least in DJ Moore's case, and this is a change for me from where I was after the bills acquired him, at least you can see a pathway to him seeing seven plus targets per game. I love the fact that Joe Brady has already worked with him before and that he totally trust him. I love the fact that Josh Allen needs a number one wide receiver. I also have to admit that Buffalo did nothing else other than draft Skyler Bell to improve their receiving core this offseason. And I don't know if that defense is going to be dominant moving forward either in Buffalo, which might mean more throwing, more high scoring games and DJ Moore just might be in the right place at the right time to earn a lot of targets. I'm not saying he's going to be more efficient with them.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I'm just saying he's going to have more opportunities. and that makes me more interested in DJ What's his last name? Okay, let's go to our last one. Heath has already locked up, name that player. Good job. I was going to triple the points, but I thought that'd be mean here. So let's go to our last one. I have the most passing yards and touchdowns in the NFL over the last four seasons.
Starting point is 00:16:14 And over that span, I am ninth in fantasy points per game. Matthew Stafford. You're out. I have scored more than 30. fantasy points in five of my last six fantasy playoff games. Jared golf. Oh my goodness. We could have triple the points.
Starting point is 00:16:31 It wouldn't even matter. Heath is on fire. I've been top 10 per game, two straight seasons, but only Heath has me ranked in the top 15. And I have my third new offensive coordinator in the last three seasons. Jamie, real quick, why don't you have Jared Gough in your top 15? He's been top 10, two straight seasons. It's a great year for quarterbacks.
Starting point is 00:16:49 I think golf is one of the best fallback options or guys. maybe you want to pair with someone who you have maybe some uncertainty with or one of the running quarterbacks that are coming off injuries, Jane Daniels, for example, or Jackson Dart, who missed some time last year. Look, golf, you know what you're getting. You know, we kind of had the same conversation. You alluded to this, that he's maybe the new Matthew Stafford, just a guy that's going to give you quality production as a passer,
Starting point is 00:17:16 no production as a rusher. And if you just like that type of profile, obviously it's much different than six points for passing touchdowns as opposed to four. Jared Goff is just safe. And so, you know, again, if you want to avoid the, hey, maybe Trevor Lawrence does this again, or hey, maybe Caleb Williams can, you know, ascend to new heights, or hey, this, or, you know, whatever the case may be, Jared Goff is the perfect quarterback for you. Okay, next game.
Starting point is 00:17:39 It's a new one, folks. A new game. Very easy game here. It's called, this is what it's called. In our 2025 fantasy football today draft, blank picked blank instead of blank. Was it A blank, B blank, or C blank? Okay, so that's kind of how it goes here.
Starting point is 00:18:08 So for this one, Heath is not allowed to answer. So first one. What draft? Okay, the game is called in our 2025 Fantasy Football Today draft, blank pick blank instead of blank. Was it A blank, B blank or C blank? So, in our 2025 fantasy football today draft, Heath picked blank instead of Jamir Gibbs. So can there be multiple answers or only one?
Starting point is 00:18:33 No, this is who Heath drafted. Only one. I'm giving you three choices. You have to tell me who Heath took instead of Jamir Gibbs. Was it A, Justin Jefferson. B, Jamar Chase, or C.D. Lamb. So all three were on the board? They were all around there.
Starting point is 00:18:52 This is who he took in a draft last year. Yeah, who did he take instead of Jemir Gibbs? And Jamie and Dave, whoever answers first. I'll say that he took lamb, Jammar Tate. Dave is correct. He took C.D. Lamb over Justin Jefferson. All right. No, he took, well, he also took over Gibbs.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Oh, yeah, I know, over Jimmy Gibbs. Took over Jimer Gibbs. Thank you. Okay, next up, in our 2025 Fantasy Football Today draft, Adam picked blank instead of Bucky Irving. And you all three can answer. Did I take Chase Brown? Oh, this is you bragging.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Devon A-chan or Pooka-Kua? Who did I take over Bucking? You took Chase Brown. Dave says Chase Brown. You took Devon A-chan. Dave, Jim, Jim. I'm going to go with Dave. I'm going to say Chase Brown.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Jamie is correct. I took Devon A-chan. What a great draft pick, Adam. All right, one for Dave, one for Jamie. I guess you all can guess. Hang on, hold on. You're going to do the same thing this year? because we're all starting to get cold feet on A-chan.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Over Bucky Irving? Hell, yeah. Okay, okay. I'm just trying to make a fantasy conversation. He's so good. He's just so good. He is. When you were thinking of this wonderful game,
Starting point is 00:20:07 how much NyQuil had you taken at this point? Next up, in our 2025 fantasy football today draft, Jamie, or no, Thomas, and all three of you can answer, Thomas picked blank instead of Josh Allen. Joe Burrow. A, Lamar Jackson, B, Brock Bowers, C, Joe Burrow. Jamie thinks it's Burrow. I'll say Bowers.
Starting point is 00:20:29 I'm going to go with Bowers. It was Joe Burrow. Yeah, he went on and on the Bengals. He had Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow. Now I remember. Who told him to do that? That was ridiculous. All right.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Next up, Dave and Heath, you can answer this one. In our 2025 Fantasy Football Today draft, Jamie picked blank instead of Zay Flowers. Which chief did he pick A, Pacheco, B, Mahomes, or C, Rishie Rice? I'll go with rice. I'll say Pacheco. It was Pacheco, and it was done completely out of spite because I was on deck. Isn't that right, Jamie?
Starting point is 00:21:05 Did you learn a lesson? You took him just to piss me off. I did, but it was worth it just for the reaction at the time. It was great. It was a great moment. All right, last one. Jamie and Dave, or Jamie and Heath can answer this one. in our 2025 fantasy football today draft,
Starting point is 00:21:20 Dave picked blank instead of Keenan Allen. Was it A, Kiyadh, Colman, B, Rashid, or C, Luther Burden? Heath, you said Coleman? I did. I'm going to say Rashid Jehijit, because I think I had Coleman in that league. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there were a couple of drafts where you took Coleman. Yep, Jamie with the spite pick on Colman.
Starting point is 00:21:40 It was Rashid Shaheed. Good job. I think, did Jamie win that round? I'm giving it to Jamie. Well done, Jamie. It wasn't me. That was our second game. What did you guys think?
Starting point is 00:21:51 I got three of those. Yeah. What did you guys think of that game? Was it fun? It was the worst game you've ever come up with. You had me pining for who has more. What do you spend more time on? Thinking of that game or what's aware today?
Starting point is 00:22:05 I didn't think about putting this tuxedo on until 9.58 a.m. Oh, that's why we were late. Yeah. Adam thought that game was blank, but he thought that game. was blank. All right, here's a new game. Let me tell you how this game came about. I was thinking, how many of the NFL teams
Starting point is 00:22:25 could I go through and name who led them in receiving last year? And then I was like, what if I wanted to stump someone? What would be the hardest one say, hey, tell me who led this team in receiving? I thought about it. And I said, let's make a game show out of it. So this game is, who led his team in receiving in 2025? What was the time when we thought that, or maybe it was Dan, that we thought that Adam couldn't name all the head coaches in the league.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Oh, that was a year ago. He could definitely name every head coach, I'd be shocked if he couldn't name one. Well, it depends. Are we doing it live on the air and he has a clock? Because I think the answer's probably no. Yeah, I actually really stumbled. Last month, I was talking football with somebody. I couldn't remember Jesse Minter.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I was like, who do the Ravens? I cannot remember. So I would draw a blank on someone. All right, here we go. Who led his team in receiving? And we're going to go Dave Jamie Heath for the first one. And we're just going to change the order. But Dave Jamie Heath, who led his team in receiving the New York Jets?
Starting point is 00:23:27 Receiving Yards? Yeah, receiving yards. Right. Okay, Dave Jamie Heath on this one. Who led the Jets in receiving? I'll say Mitchell. Mason Taylor. Mason Taylor.
Starting point is 00:23:41 You were all wrong. It was Garrett Wilson. Was it? This is fun. Yeah. Not by much. All right. Next is Jamie Heath, Dave.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Who led the Green Bay Packers in receiving? Romeo Dobs. Christian Watson. Heath, you're next. I'll go Romeo Dobs. Dave, you say Watson? Yeah. Jamie and Heath are correct.
Starting point is 00:24:07 It was Romeo Dobs with 720. I'm too busy looking up the Jets. I don't believe you that Garrett Wilson. Okay. Next up is Heath, Dave, Jamie. led the Los Angeles Chargers in receiving? Heath Dave. Quentin Johnston.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Quentin Johnston, Dave? I will say Quentin Johnston. Keenan Allen. It was Ladd McConkey. He had 12 more yards than Keenan Allen, 54 more yards than Quentin Johnston. So the problem with Mitchell is he also had yardage with the Colts
Starting point is 00:24:45 and I guess we're just not counting that. Yeah, of course. It's only with his team. Okay, fine. All right. Dave, Jamie. again. Who led the Jacksonville Jaguars in receiving? Dave, Jamie Heath. Parker, Washington. Parker Washington. Brian Thomas, Jr.
Starting point is 00:25:12 It is Parker, Washington, David and Jamie. So right now I've got two for Jamie, one for Dave, one for Heath. All right, is Jamie Heath Dave on this one? Who led... I feel like this is like, there's a little bit of pressure luck to this. I don't know press your luck. Oh, God. How do you play? How are you a game show host and you don't know pressure luck? Is that I mean... Not 50.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Before today, Dave, you'd never heard of who drafted who over who. Yeah, it's true. You also, you know, despite all of your winnings, couldn't get Flamingo. It's true. At least I got the winnings. You butchered the name of that game, by the way. You forgot the multiple choice part of it. All right, so it's Jamie Heath, Dave.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Who led the Las Vegas Raiders in receiving? Brock Bowers. Heath. I will also say Brock Bowers. I will too. You are all wrong. It was Trey Tucker, 16 more yards than Brock. I just added it, though, so you lose.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Heath Dave, Jamie. Who led the Chicago Bears in receiving? Good grief. This is terrible. DJ Moore. Dave. I'm next. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:30 I'll say a dunce. DJ more. It was Colson Loveland, 31 more than 31 more yards of DJ Moore, 52 more than O'Donzei, 61 more than Luther. That really goes to show how bad DJ Moore was, that he did not miss a game,
Starting point is 00:26:44 and Colston Lovelland missed about three. Yeah, I know. And we have last one, Dave, Jamie Heath. Right now, Jamie's in the lead, so Dave and Heath, you need to get this right. Who led the Indianapolis Colts in receiving?
Starting point is 00:26:59 Alec Pierce. Jamie. Oh, Michael Pittman. Alec Pierce. Oh, Jamie, you totally choked. It was Alec Pierce, and now we have a three-way tie. I got to do one more team here. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Do you have a tiebreaker question ready? Not really. Yeah. Bad game show hosts. So you did an even number of questions and didn't have a tie breaker. Got it. How about, is there another team that's close here? Who led the-
Starting point is 00:27:31 I know a team that would be perfect for this. Who? The Giants. That's so easy. okay fine well at least I brought a tiebreaker to the table instead of standing here with my blank in my hand
Starting point is 00:27:45 okay all dressed up and nothing to show for it no this isn't good either all right you know what I'll just give you guys a tie congratulations all right we've got one more we've got one more game right now
Starting point is 00:28:04 Keith has two wins if we give them the tie Jamie has two No, yeah, Jamie has two and Davis won. Our last game is Fantasy Jeopardy. Can't screw this up. Oh, I find new ways to do that.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Every time. We have three categories. Are we saying the answers? Are we saying our name? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You have to buzz in with your name. Okay. And then say, in the form of a question, so help me if you do not do it in the form of a question,
Starting point is 00:28:34 I'll kick you out of the show. Oh, that's great. We get to get kicked out? Yeah, we're all about to get kicked out in about 30 seconds. We have three categories for $200, $400, $600. They are quarterbacks, pass catchers, and I always do a pop culture one that Heath doesn't know. So I'm doing barbecue is the last category, barbecue.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Look at this graphic. Make an idiot out of me again. Dave, you're in last place, so you, sir, have the board. Quarterbacks, pass catchers, or barbecue? I'll have barbecue for lunch, please. 200, 400, 600, 6. Ooh, okay.
Starting point is 00:29:14 An exposed bone on a rack of ribs or in non-barbecue terms, a black eye. Heath. Heath. What is a Shiner? Heath, 600. Nice.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Schaefer, by the way, amazing work on these graphics. This is phenomenal. All right, Heath, the board is yours. We can stay here. Barbecue for 400. A thick layer of fat covering the exterior of the meat. Are we losing points for guesses?
Starting point is 00:29:48 No. No. Heath. No. Yes? What is it? Thomas, you don't have the answer, do you? I'm going to give it to him.
Starting point is 00:30:03 It was a fat cap. I think, yeah, cap works. All right, Heath, the board is yours. barbecue for 200. Category Heath won't know that he's going to sleep. No, I thought he wouldn't know this one. I didn't want to give him like, you know, famous Star Wars characters or anything.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Oh, they said wouldn't know. No, no, yeah. According to burnpitbabreq.com, the most popular holidays for barbecuing are July 4th, Memorial Day, and this holiday. Jamie. Jamie. Labor Day. What is Labor Day?
Starting point is 00:30:34 Yay, good job. You did the question at two. All right, Jamie, 200. board is Jamie's. Let's go past catchers for $600. Oh, this one could have been the tiebreaker for last game. I led the Tennessee Titans in receiving. Jamie.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Jamie. Who is Shemarie Deacon? Incorrect. Dave. Dave. Who is Elyke Iow Manor? Ehrlich is incorrect. I had a 50-50 shot.
Starting point is 00:31:08 You got this one. This is easy. Oh, I don't know. I don't, I don't at all. Can we answer again or no? Heath. No, we can't. Heath.
Starting point is 00:31:18 He just makes the rule not. No. You don't get two guesses. Go ahead, Heath. Who is Van Jefferson? Oh, wow. Who is Chig O'Conquo? That's what I'm going to say.
Starting point is 00:31:29 I was down to Iowa Manor and O'Cowcowcow. Jamie, the board is still your 600, 560 yards of Chigalcua led the team. The board is yours, James. He's a sleeper tight end, by the way. Like when we were talking about tight ends to take late. and pair with Kraft. He's one of them because he might be replacing
Starting point is 00:31:46 Zach Ertz in that huggy bear role for Washington. Passcgers for 400, please. He finished as wide receiver 10 despite not scoring double-digit PPR fantasy points in a game until week 11.
Starting point is 00:32:06 He finished as wide receiver 10, but did not score double-digit PPR to week 11. Who is Michael Wilson? Hey, Dave. 400 for Dave. Michael Wilson, by the way, had more 100-yard games in 2025 than Marvin Harrison Jr. has had in two seasons.
Starting point is 00:32:24 Dave, the board is yours. We have past catchers for 200, and we have all the quarterback questions. Hoping the coaching staff notices. Pass catchers for 200, Alex. All right. Christian McCaffrey's 924 receiving yards were the most by a running back
Starting point is 00:32:38 since this guy had 1,05 receiving yards way back in 2019. Oh, 2019. Heath. Heath. Who is Christian McCaffrey? Correct. Very good.
Starting point is 00:32:53 That's great. Christian McCaffrey. The last time a running back had that many receiving yards, it was McCaffrey. And actually, one thing I noticed was we had two running backs
Starting point is 00:33:03 with more than 800 yards last year, Bijan and McCaffrey. And that is very, very unusual. There are some years, like 2024, I think A-chan led the position, and I don't think he even had 600. So I don't know. if we're going to get some regression from McCaffrey and Bejohn.
Starting point is 00:33:20 I mean, McCaffrey's been in that range three times in his career. But something to consider, they have tremendous pass-catching years. All right, Heath, you are in control here. What do you want? Quarterbacks for 400, please. He led all quarterbacks in pass attempts. Hint, he is an AFC quarterback who shares a last name with a basketball team. Dave.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Dave. Who is Bo Nets. Correct. and let's go, Nix. Dave, you are on the board here, or you can, in control. Go, New York, go, New York, go. Let's have some drama.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Quarterbacks for 200. He averaged 288 passing yards per game in his first three seasons, but only 233 yards per game in his last three seasons. Heath. Heath. Dave.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Who is Patrick Mahomes? I was going to give the hint, but you guys got a little hasty there. We don't do hints. Dave. It's Jeopardy. No, Mahomes was going to be my guess. I have a guess.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Okay, Jamie, I think I want to give you the hint. I'll wait a minute. I'm ineligible for the hint. Yeah, you said Dave before I gave the hint. You buzzed in. That doesn't mean that I. No. Look at whatever.
Starting point is 00:34:38 No, this is ridiculous. No, you know what? You don't make the rules. A terrorist game show host. That's what we've got. You didn't listen. Okay. A hint.
Starting point is 00:34:46 So first of all, he averaged 288 passing yards per game in his first three seasons, but only 233 in his last three seasons. Hint, he is an AFC quarterback, and his last name is the first name of our 31st president. Who is Justin Herbert. Correct. Jamie is a history buff. He knows all the presidents by number. Justin Herbert, yeah, last three years, 233 passing yards per game. all right so are we done man quarterbacks for 600 oh quarterbacks for 600 wait hold on can i
Starting point is 00:35:21 tally up the points here i have 1200 dave has 800 jami has 400 no really i've been keeping track you are a phenomenal game show host i have to hand it what you do is every time somebody gets one i just add that to their total on this piece of paper in front of me and i just just write it down all right so basically if do you own a tuxedo maybe you You should be the next game show host. So Dave can win if he gets this right, is what you're saying? I think he should do a one-man game show dynasty. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:35:55 And then I'll use the same games on the next FFT episode. All right. There is a hint on this one. Oh, wow. But maybe I'll only give it. You know what? I'm only going to give the hint if nobody gets it right the first time around. There's no daily double?
Starting point is 00:36:09 No, no daily double. For $600 in the game. If there were a daily double, then we would also. all have a chance to win. And no final jeopardy. He led all quarterbacks in yards per carry, 6.9 yards per carry with a minimum of 30 carries. Jamie. Dave.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Jamie. Who is Justin Fields? Dave. Who is Trevor Lawrence? Heath. Heath. Who is Jackson Dart? Okay, here's the hint.
Starting point is 00:36:42 He is an NFC quarterback, and his last name is the same as the first name. of former NFL player Stephen. Oh, no, wait. His first name. His first name is the same as the last name of former NFL player Stephen and former NBA player Vin. Heath. Heath. Who is Baker Mayfield.
Starting point is 00:37:08 There it is. Congratulations, Heath. Hold on. Wait, can you say something while I queue up some music? Yeah. Final tally. I had 1800. They've had 800. Jamie had 400.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Final tally, I had three wins. Jamie had two wins. Dave, congratulations. On winning this round of the Fantasy Football Today Game Show edition. When we come back, your emails in fantasy football at cbsi.com. We'll be right back. Heath, question for you. Would you have gotten the Shiner?
Starting point is 00:37:54 thing just from the exposed bone on a rack of ribs? I would not. Oh, really? You need the black eye hint. I needed the black eye, yeah. Okay, all right. Well, is this why we don't give hints? I would have made all the difference.
Starting point is 00:38:07 All right, now we're going to turn emails into a game show. Just with this simple way. I'm going to read an email. And then Jamie and Dave, I want you to guess if Heath read it on his show yesterday. Or at any point. This email is from Aaron. And where's Aaron from, Dave? Duluth, Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Okay, Aaron says, I love listening to your show walking my six-year-old lab and soon during summer fishing. And just a quick aside, if I had a dog, I'd go with a lap. They're very cute. All right, he's keeping Jaden Daniels and Jemir Gibbs and Colston Loveland
Starting point is 00:38:43 and Rishie Rice. He needs two more keepers. D.K. Metcalfe, David Montgomery, Rico Dowdell, Parker, Washington, Brian Thomas Jr., Joanne Jennings,
Starting point is 00:38:58 Zach Charbonnet, and Rashad White. D.K. Meccaf, David Montgomery, RICO, Dau, Parker, Washington, Brian Thomas, Jr., Joanne, Jennings, Zach Charbonnet, Rashad White. Pick two. No penalty? I don't think so. It's half-PPR, by the way.
Starting point is 00:39:14 I think Montgomery is the easy one. You know, how many did he keep ready? Give me the list. Jaden Daniels, Jemir Gibbs, Rish, Rice, Colson Loveland. So I think the the safe one is probably D.K. Metcalfe, but if you want to maybe
Starting point is 00:39:31 swing for the offenses, is Brian Thomas. Yeah. Especially if you can keep for subsequent seasons, right? Because what if he gets back to... Or traded. Yeah, what if he gets back to being good? So you go to Montgomery and Brian Thomas Jr.? I probably would just because he's got such a good base of
Starting point is 00:39:47 players. Like, that's a home run play. We also have Zach Sharbon on the list. Parker Washington, D.K. Metcalfe. Okay. This was definitely right on Heath's show. I don't think so. It's a keeper question, not Dynasty.
Starting point is 00:40:01 I'm going to say no. I did not read this question. All right. About that. This is from Maggie. After watching, let me introduce myself Tyron Montgomery on YouTube. I couldn't help but root for Montgomery to get drafted. He wasn't, but the Titans did pick him up as a UDFA, undrafted free agent.
Starting point is 00:40:19 That made me wonder, are there any undrafted free agents who became integral parts of their NFL teams and or became fantasy relevant? He's one of them. A tight end that I really liked a lot is Michael Trigg, who got signed, not drafted by the Cowboys. And we know Jake Ferguson's a little older. So maybe there's a chance for Trigg to get some opportunities. There might be one other, I've got to go to my list of undrafted players. I do like that you're answering that,
Starting point is 00:40:49 but she was actually asking about the best UDFAs in NFL history. So that would be, I just went to NFL.com and looked at their list. Kurt Warner, Antonio Gates, Priest Holmes, Wolf, Warren Moon. Colston, yeah. But Trigg, I was very surprised that he didn't get drafted, actually. Me too. I wonder if it's attitude-related. But yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 00:41:14 There have been some terrific UDFAs. Thank you, Maggie. This is from Zach, and I do believe Heath read this one. Deep Superflex Tight End Premium IDP Dynasty League Did you read this one Heath? I don't think so Oh
Starting point is 00:41:29 My running backs are Breast Hall and Braylon Allen Travion Henderson and Malik Davis I have Joe Burrow Joe Flacco Trevor Lawrence Kyler Murray
Starting point is 00:41:38 and Jacoby Brissette It's a super flex I remember Should I trade Jacoby Brissette for Giovante Williams Yes Absolutely you ran through
Starting point is 00:41:51 It's Burrow Trevor Trevor and Kyler and Flacco. Yeah, you're good at quarterback, and Berset's clearly like a Band-Aid option at best. Yeah. I think that's an easy trade to make. I wonder, like, if you want to shop, Prisette,
Starting point is 00:42:09 maybe you can do a little better. Not that that's not bad, but quarterbacks and some super flex leagues are very much high in demand, so you never know. Okay, from Jake. Subject, Dynasty Startup 101. and this is Pick 101, not Rules 101. Did you read this one, Heath?
Starting point is 00:42:29 I don't think so. I think you're reading emails from the main FFT and email, and when I did my last mailbag, they were all from the FFT Dynasty at Paramount.com. Oh, great. Oh, okay. That's wonderful. Oh, so Adam sent your wedding invitation to the wrong address.
Starting point is 00:42:47 All right. It's a dynasty startup. It is superflex. Two running backs, two wide receivers, two flexes, 10 teams. Jake has the first pick. Should he take Josh Allen, Drake May, or Bijon Robinson? Or feel free to put your own answer. And basically, who's the first pick of a 10-team Super Flex League?
Starting point is 00:43:05 Josh Allen. Josh Allen. Agreed. Okay, from Michael. Subject, Rogue One. Thank you. It is the best Star Wars movie. Totally underrated.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Glad you guys are on board. That's the whole email. It's not to say that the other Star Wars movies just aren't is good. They're all very good, but Rogue One is the one that I like best. I saw our former colleague, Nick Costas, do a top five ranking of Star Wars movies on his I think it might have been Instagram account, but also Twitter. I think he had Empire Strikes Back as one. Did he have Rogue One as two? I think that was his third. I don't remember what was second. That's got to be a new hope. Oh, he might have done TV shows also. He did Andorch.
Starting point is 00:43:51 That's what he did. He did Star Wars movies. He went, Empire Strikes Back and or Rogue one. Really glad you put barbecue in the Jeopardy game. opposed to this. That was a good show, guys. Thank you very much. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Jamari Taylor and Levion Moss.
Starting point is 00:44:12 Taylor went to the Jaguars, Levion Moss to the Dolphins. That's like last round rookie only dynasty picks. UDFA. Also, Thomas wanted to make sure that, you know that you forgot Victor Cruz and Adam Thielen. Oh, yeah. Good, good UDFAs. I have,
Starting point is 00:44:31 I don't know if you saw this, Heath, you're on the chat, I think. I have six of the top 20 picks in our upcoming dynasty draft. Isn't that exciting? It's very,
Starting point is 00:44:40 I mean, this is the year that you want to stockpile rookie picks. This is going to turn your franchise. It's so sad. Like 360 degrees. Oh, man,
Starting point is 00:44:49 I have a trivia question. I looked this up this morning when I was doing some Mackay Lemon research because he's a bulletinikoff winner. The award has been in place since 1994. So keep that in mind. How many Hall of Famers have won the Blitnikoff Award? Two.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Technically, I think you're correct because the third one has not officially been inducted yet. Okay. Let's see. I'm going to go Calvin Johnson. Didn't Larry win it? Larry is what I was thinking. Larry's not officially inducted yet, right?
Starting point is 00:45:26 he's just been right so who's the other happening um i'm going to say uh andre johnson no yeah i didn't think he won it it was a it was a shot in the dark there who else hmm 1994 let's go to the 90s marvin harrison no no no he was he wasn't the best reggie way nope nope not wasn't randy moss was randy moss oh it was makes sense And probably at least one more on the way. Who? Jamar Chase. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:07 But others are still eligible. All right. Hey, thanks everybody. Do you happen to have a couple of names that won the Bolitnikoff Award and then sucked in the NFL? There's a lot. Yes, unfortunately, there's a lot. I don't have the list in front of me, but there were more failures than success stories. Really?
Starting point is 00:46:24 Yeah, I mean, like there's a lot of, like, very good players, like Brandon Cook's won. Michael Crabtree won. Jordan Addison one? Jordan Addison? Jordan Addison one. That's a good call. I think like the bad ones. There were some that were like, you know, overhyped.
Starting point is 00:46:42 Justin Blackman, for example. Corey Coleman. Yep. I love. Mike Haas from Oregon State. Charles Rogers. Josh Reed. Troy Walters.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Troy Edwards. Troy Edwards. Well. Marquise Lee. I think we've reached the end of the show. D.D. Westbrook. Actually, I'm going to play some music to... James Washington.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Jalen Hyatt. Oh, a cornerback won this award. Travis Hunter. Thank you, everybody, for watching and listening. We'll talk to you tomorrow with a live mock draft with industry guests. It's going to be a much better show than what you just watched and listened.
