A Lot In Your Cauldron: From Ghosts to Ghosting
00:07Hello guys, it's spooky Tuesday.Welcome back to a lot on your plate podcast.Or we're going to call it today a lot in your cauldron podcast. So we've got a little smoky cauldron going on there with everybody's secrets. And confessions are all inside there.Which we're going to talk about. No, I need to just tell you something quickly, which is just reminded me right. So me and Richard keep tickling gentle all the time going,
00:37but now he keeps going up to kids goingbut he can't make the noisebecause he's got a little husky voiceand he gets goingand all these kids are looking at him likeget away from mewe're in David Lloyd and he kept doing itand these kids are running away from him like
00:53leave that freakinganywaywhat's on today's episode Zoeso on today's episode Zoeso on today's itwe're going to have a wee catch upbecause we'd quite a eventfulexciting weekend past
01:07God again, we're paying for itAnd we're then going to do some ghost storiesFrom your lovely listenersAnd ghosted storiesGhost stories and ghosted storiesAnd then we're finishing off with a juicy dilemmaAnd what's that about? It's in the cauldron you find out later
01:24And over on Patreon todayWe're going to speak a bit about some SlebgossMolly May, TommySome stuff going on there at the momentWe're also going to speak abouta new pregnancy announcement that we've seen. And we also have a dilemmafrom one of our lovely listeners that I've said
01:42for it to specifically be over there. And the subject is,should I tell my colleague's fiance,he has cheated on her?Even more spooky.Anyway, happy Halloween fuckers.Hope you have a gorgeous week this week.Happy Halloween. Tell us all what you're dressing up as.
01:58Speaking of Halloween,I watched Casper.I thought you're going to say,I watched the Victoria Secrets show. And I was going to say, I agree, honey.Like, it's terrifying because we don't look nothing like.it. No, I do want to speak about that by the way.But first up, I watch
02:11Casper the Friend of Ghost. Have you seen that as an adult? No, I've seen it obviously, but not as an adult.I hadn't either, and I watched that other night. Not bad.Lovely film.Six out of ten. But it did the job for an easy watch.Yeah. He's a cute wee ghost. He is, isn't he? Do you know what I mean?Very much so.
02:27Bless him. But yeah, let's talk about the Victoria's Secretshow. I mean, flawed.I am quite frankly obsessed with kind of.Jane at this stage. We said that, didn't we?Was it early this season?A while back.Cute little billionaire.
02:44I love that from her though, like walking out and everyone's like, who is it?Who is it?And she turns around and it's like, you know what?Fairfucks. So can I just get this straight?Every year is there a secret angel that walks the walk?I think so.I think so.
02:56I love that from her.I actually think people don't underestimate her power and influenceand how incredible she has done in a family of entrepreneurs. And people...Agree.Yes, they get a lot of...slack and I'm not like their number one fanI actually have never really been
03:10but I do think they seem like reallyfunny and in a weird wayrelatable in the sense ofI think their sense of humour is quite relatableyeah and I think as we said beforeKylie just posts like dumps in that nowfunny so it's a bit more like insightI also saw she does YouTube and it's like
03:27like I was like get ready with me and it was like 10minutes long and I thoughtyou'll probably make one million pounds from that videoyeah and her body is sootylike, I know.Yes, she's had surgery. So, what? Let me look. It's still gorgeous.
03:43Loads people have surgery and...It's not as gorgeous as that.Gorgeous. All the guarantees were gorgeous. They were. I really enjoyed watching all the social stuff on it this year, to be fair.Yeah, I enjoyed it as well.Victoria Secrets were quite friendly in all the comments.I'm not someone that's...Like, it's not my Super Bowl.
03:58I'm not someone that will sit there and say...I don't think anything's really our Super Bowl, though.Nah, like, we're just not...We're not as passionate as that about...anything.Those sort of things.Yeah.But I'm not someone that will think,
04:10like I didn't realize it was onuntil I saw on socials to be honest. And I'm not someone that shops there.I'm not someone that watches itand actually wishes, like all jokes aside.I don't actually look at it and think,oh, I'm depressed, I wish,
04:22I need to go to the gym right now.Like I actually don't look at it like that.I just look at them and admire them.I'm like, you look fantastic. For me, it's so not me that there's no point to even wishing. So far from what I could ever achieve.Yeah, exactly. So I just enjoy it.
04:36I mean, for a start, they're all probably 10 times my height,so what's the point in even thinking about that? What I really love as well,it's like some of the OGs and they're all, some of them are like in their 40s.Most of them are moms and they all look fantastic.Someone was like six weeks postpartum as well, I'm sure. And I just think to yourself,
04:52you know what? You're never too old or too young to chase your dreams.Never.They look fantastic.Never.It actually reminds me their,my two little young besties said to me at the weekend. They were like,
05:05what I know what we're talking about?about maybe I think you might have said everyone fancies me and then I says you always say thatzoroans she went yeah you said yeah you fancy me I was like okay so and then the girls turn aroundand we're like Jess like it people must think you're a lesbian I'm like really and they're likeyou can't go out an episode without speaking about a woman I remember this conversation was it when we wereyeah yeah we were walking to cosmopol and obviously they were saying it in Jess and I was like reallygirl I was like do you think that I says obviously I don't care I love that for meI was like, but I want to make it clear, like, I just genuinely love women.
05:41Yeah, I love everything about women.Yeah.I can just appreciate, yeah, I actually don't think I could swing that way, though.Like, I do love my man too much in that sense.Like, I don't know how it is.Like, I just...You love the deck.I was going to say that when I thought that was a little bit inappropriate
05:58because that's also not true.No, I know.It's like, I know I know.Do you know what I mean?What do you actually love?just manliness, perhaps.Not sure.Masculinity.
06:11Yeah, but I also like femininity as well in a man.I know, no.Like they're soft aside. You know what I mean by that?I'm absolutely with you on this whole conversation. So I found it quite funny when they said itbecause obviously they're like my two gay friendsand they're like, yeah, Jess, you always,
06:24I know they're listening now and they'll be pissed themselvesbecause I'm outing you both. But like if anyone does think that, I love that for me.Like continue the rumor.Yeah.But it's not true.Richard, I love you.But yeah.
06:36It's obviously a good day at home.Yeah, from last week. That was on Patreon. He's made up for it now, we're okay.Just.Just, yeah, comes in waves. No, that's funny.Do you know what else I started watching, by the way?
06:49None of the things that we've been discussing that I still need to watch. They've still not been watched. One Tree Hill.Have you ever watched that?Throwback now.I've never watched that either. And it's good, by the way.I think it is, actually.
07:03Do you know what it's a good one for?Like, there's enough going on to keep you interested.but also good for when you're, like, working at home.Like, background stuff.Like, coming up to Christmas, you'd maybe sit and wrap.Like, see shit like that can be, like, kind of background, but it's not boring.Yeah.Loving it.
07:19I feel like One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, Friends, like, all these sort of wholesome reality kind of...Well, One Tree Hill, is that the reality or no?Was that the drama?None of them that you've just listed in reality.Yeah.They're all fake reality.Yeah.Yeah. Yeah.
07:40But all like the old school reality shows which are like...Mm.The hills? The hills. That's what I'm thinking of.The hills, the hills. That's like one of the OG, isn't it?Yeah.
07:53Jersey Shore.Tawi, Fairfucks.They were like, what?20 years ago?Mm-hmm.Made in Chelsea's Wales.Oh my God.That would have been almost 20 years ago.
08:03No, Terry's on.It's like 30-odd season.I had to do two a yearIt's probably about a yearI was definitely 18, 19when I first started watching season onebecause I remember I was with my exand I was like, very weird
08:16But it's wholesome vibes isn't it?YeahIt took me a while to finish Gilmore GirlsAnd I was getting a bit likeFor me I like to tick things offSo I was getting ready for likeCan I just fucking say I've finished this nowBut I can't without physically finishing it
08:29But that's a good one to watch this time youBecause it's autumn vibes alwaysIt is I was going to sayI started mobland. Is it good?I'm already on season two, Zoe.I really need to get involved in this.Brilliant.
08:44When I finish season one though, actually I'd say the last episode I was like, okay, I get it.This is great.Sorry, when I finished, yeah, series one, yeah. But the difference with the gentleman and going straight from the gentleman is the gentleman is still gangster, but every single episode, there's like a new baddie and it's quite comical.it's quite far-fetched as wellwhich I liked thatelement to it I thought it was quite fun
09:09set in obviously different locationsright-a-rida-r-a-rabut with Mobblandit's a little bit moreI would say real in a senselike it's based around London gangsone nutter familylike everyone in that family is
09:22crazy crazy crazythe acting is brilliantbut I cannot explain to youhow much I loveHelen MirrenrightShe is an iconI do need to watch this
09:37and peersI always get his surname wrongBosnanBroznanNoBroznanYeahAnyway those two are like
09:48Mob husband and wife rightOkayIrishStrange Irish action going onaccent going on from peersBut anywayThey are so hilariously funnyI cannot explain how
09:58Do you know she's 81Zoe81 years oldAnd that? She is 81 years old.Well yeah, that was only filmed two years ago.So the season two now is, she is said, well, it probably, what, I filmed a year ago, let's say.
10:12What the fuck? How amazing is that? She's so good, she's so funny in it.I actually crack up so much. No, I do.She's not a very likable character, mind you, but...That's on purpose. If you haven't watched it, guys, you have to watch it.
10:25It's brilliant.Tom Hardy's also excellent. He's the main guy in it, obviously, but he's very likable in it.Yeah, okay. And he's not really likeI thought Mobblam was all about himbeing like a big rough nut like nasty guyand yes he is that
10:39but he isn't the main top top guy at allhe's actually their securityRightSo that's kind of what it's aboutA very loyal security guardSo farSo yeah I love it so muchWe went to the Ivy
10:55slash Ivy's opening last weekUnbelievableIt was so goodWe gasped walking in thereYou vlogged a bit of it, didn't you, for last week?It was in a bit of my vlog and Patreon. But what a venue that is?I tell you now, right, we turned up
11:10and we were a little bit ob and a naring about going,to be honest, just like we are with everything. And it was no shade on the ivy we actually wanted to go,but we know we're just like CPAbecause we're going out all weekend. And I was like, no, really, let's go.I was like, let's get the train. It was such a good shout from us.
11:24Thank God we did.Because I was like, I'm ready for a drink.I need to celebrate my birthday.Let's go out for a drink.Yeah.As soon as we step foot, past those little bank pipesinto the venue
11:35that old bankI looked at youand I wentI'm out tonightNo I know it really took a turnDidn't realise it was a free baruntil half tenThere was over easily
11:48Easily over a thousand people in thereMust have been it was packedSuch a good crowd though as wellDidn't really know many peopleBut in the same senseShe kind of knew everybodySo it was likeYou knew the people that
12:00You knewBut then there was500 other people that were likesort of older crowdI think a lot of them were Ivy's loyal customerswhich I love that from them for invitingloyal customersand business owners and
12:13business owners in Vascothat's excellent what a great shoutand the show peoplegreat shout for thatit was so good though because when you walk inyou walk into like the classic Ivyand then through to the leftis Ivy Asia so that was like separate DJ
12:27separate bar different foodit was two different vibes going onDJ was on like a big massive high thing on some decksand the tunes were pumping. It was like a Gaelic house music band.It was.It was really good.It was fun.
12:42Really fun.But yeah, it was just a really nice crowd.I really enjoyed it.So many people that we saw.I was like, oh my God, like it's so nice to see you sort of thing. And yeah, it was really, really fun.And we didn't roll in until what?Gone 2 in the morning?
12:55Yep.It was a tough day the next day.It was a tough day.so tough that we went out againand you didn't come home until probably last nightjust getting actuallylooking fantastic lookno I'm only joking
13:15we then went out the next dayto Sugo for your birthdayI had to go around Clyde Valley Farm Parkby the way my ad for the day with my friend ElsaI'm afraid to say I don't know how you done itI don'tbut by the way that's great and I've been there beforegreat one for the family is that
13:32that's quite goodwhat did I doI don't think I had to do anythingI don't think you could lift your head off the pillowlove I think you weren't walked cookieI took cookie I was trying to like touch grassand that and then yeah we went toSugo on Friday night
13:47which was so goodI hadn't been in so long and it reallyreminded me how much I love ityou have to get the current special on the menuit's number two and it was like the cogettelike cheesy cogettesome sort of, I don't even know what it wasbut it was excellent, excellent.
14:04I just had that, what, like the Arirayatta, which is also very good. With all the cheese on it, but it was so good.We had olives, bread, the panzanella salad which is justso good. See, when I think about it though,by the time you were sitting there eating that, I wasn'thung over at all anymore.
14:20No, you were, you wereready to go out. You were in a great mood.I, however, was flagging bythe second.Yeah, I don't, I think I just was likeFuck, let's go.Because then we went to Mallow, which I'd never been to.You'd been.
14:35I'd been before, yeah. What did you think?Loved it in there. So nice, isn't it?I think it's definitely one of those places.Like, we needed more uplift and, like, to keep us going kind of vibes.Oh, so you probably would have stayed there for quite a while?Oh, we would have stayed, yeah.
14:48Because the cocktail menu's great.Drinks are good. It's kind of, like, nice, dark vibes.Yeah.Music was good as well.Music was brilliant.Good music. And then we went to radio.
14:59Excellent.We went there two nights on the Trot by the way.Oh yeah, but were there a night before as well.In the red room, which was like boiler room, house music, unts, two step in,eat your heart out, loved every second of it.No, we didn't love it.But we actually went up to radio initially to, which our friend Shiv, when we said that we're going to go radio, she was like, by the way, that's the best pizza I've ever had.
15:24And she eats in some really good places, right? And I said, you know what, that's so funny you say that because I've heard that before.Yeah, I have heard that's good. And she said they ordered a piece, basically radio is one of those places whereit's like an Irish kind of bar at the top. You've got the usual guy in a guitar. You've got, but food coming out, pizzas,
15:44like hot honey pizzas, kids can go in the day. They're on the bottom floor, which we've said before on this pod, there's like an R&B room, like Shandipal was playing,it's sick Rihanna, which wasn't that busy
15:56on the Friday night we went out for my birthday, but on a Saturday,it's pumping.Yeah.And then there's the red room. You have to go throughlike an Al Pacino sort of doorwith like a speakeasy
16:05which not a lot of people know aboutso I'm sorry for sharing this on the podbut that is a bit likeboiler room where it's like house music.Yeah.And that is amazing in there. That was so funny. If you like that sort of music
16:17because it can be quite heavy.Yeah, no but I don'tbut once you're like a few drinks downyou're just like woo.The buzz keeps you going.Do you know how busy was iton Friday night in that room?Sardines.
16:27It went from nothingtwo sardines in seconds. But yeah, I really enjoyed it in there. It was really good.Staffan ice as well. Then we walked to Cosmopol, which I'll never be in and I won't be back.Where it smelled like somebody
16:42had had ten Vindalus and shat the pants.Do you remember that?It was the worst smell I've ever smelledmy whole entire existence of being alive. It was stinking. And at this point I was flagging and I said, girls, I can't stay.It was so sticky in that as well.
16:54And everyone on the karaoke was so bad.And also we were like ninth on the listI'm like, come on.Like, I like karaoke, but only if I get to sing quite sharply.Like, I need to get up there, or else you're all annoying me.I need to know, like, can somebody tell us that works in Cosmopol? What the hell is going on with your sewage pipes?Because that was, we're not exaggerating.
17:14It actually smelt of horrendous shit.I'm actually surprised we stayed at all, by the way.I'm surprised we didn't just go, whoop straight back out.I did.I think I had to have enough drinks to be like, well, let's just get a drink.Fine.But it was, fuck.It was thinking.
17:30And then where did you go after?Maxie's Bar.Walk to Maxie's Bar.Was upstairs for a bit and they went down at a LeCita.Club.What's that like there? What's that like?I would say it's quite edgy like compared to most places in town.
17:43It's a bit more West End vibe, I think. Is it?A bit more like slightly hipster in there.Bit like local Chinaski's sort of vibe. That sort of vibe, 100%.Yeah.But Saturday was near.early the end of my life, I think.
17:59Yeah, and I sex ex-you and I was like, Zoe,I feel rough and I, even though I got home at one,and barely drank on Friday night,I said, so I can't even imagine how you feel. That, I'm telling you right now, mark my words.Party girl's over? She's over. What, we're just about to enter the era?
18:14She's backing a box, needs to stop.Nah.The problem is, why if I,I've opened a party girl, which is fine,I'm okay with that. She's allowed out.But why does she not know when to go back? Why does she not have a home time?Just living babes.
18:31No, because you know what?It knocks you off all week.Yeah.And I didn't notice that.I thought, considering I didn't drink all that muchcompared to what I have done in the past,I hit a ripe old age of 36,and I thought, I was still not okay Sunday.
18:47And I had a relatively,it doesn't, I suppose it doesn't helpwhen you have to get up at 6' year with a child, right? There's that factor. They won't help. There's no days off for me, but I have, unless I, there's no babysitter, but I had to get up.So there's no choice in the matter. So that probably didn't help.
19:04I know. That definitely doesn't.But then there's another thing about lying in all day that also doesn't help, I think. There's definitely a fine line. You're sleep deprived and probably oversleeping.Yeah.Or like over lounging about, whereas if you need to go up and get freshy it, it actually does help. And you know another thing I really clocked like,
19:25we don't drink enough water the next day.Like, I struggle to even put food past my lips on a hangover. So when I'm drinking water, it's like...No.We were in radio at the top bit still, and I think we ordered some more drinks,a glass of water came. And I thought, I was like,
19:44why you're drinking water, making comment as unusual. And Jess was like, well, you relax. What did you say?It was fucking hilarious. It really ticked me.No, but I think people thought I was going to say, this is the first bit of water that I've had all daybut I said this is probably the first bit of water
20:00that I've had all yearit was just so funny because it's so trueand I could only even have two goals of it as welland I was like seemy body just doesn't allow me to drink higelno on Saturday I have three electrolytesdid you? No I do drink a lot of waterespecially when we're hung over like I find it hard
20:21but I'm like I need to get this gonelike I need to feel betterI think I said to youat the moment I'm in a stageof where I'm drinking a bit too much coffeeI need to knock that on the headYeahAnd she says taking a sip of a tea
20:33Dehydrate you as wellMy thing isThat weekend there was supposed to be a weekendFor me to like get on top of my lifeYeahAnd we've both got quite a lot going on at the momentYou've got a lot of work stuff as wellLike it's Christmas markets
20:47Like that wayDo you do need to use your eveningsAnd weekends a bitTo like get on top of workYeahLife adminAnd I really needed that weekend to be that, and then it wasn't.So Sunday, hellish.
21:03Because every day we'd text each other like, right, do you want to come over to mine tonight?Tonight, tonight. And it was like, we can't physically do it.Not because we were too dying, but it was other arrangements.Like, it's just not possible.I know. We've just actually met before the pod here. We've started to get stuff sorted for the Christmas market.
21:21So we're getting excited for that.I hope you guys have your tickets. The tickets came out on Friday.Yes. So if it's not sold outthe link will be in our biohopefully it is.Hopefully.We hope it is for you. I hope it's not.
21:34We've not got our tickets yet.But it's Wednesday the 25thand Thursday the 26th of November at Badd. And similar set up to beforeexcept we're going to have loads of food vendors this yearso it's going to feel more like your typicalChristmas market.Yeah, we've basically had...
21:52It's cozy vibes, hot chocolate, potentially some hot sweet treats.Yes. We had a little bit of a reiki of like previous years and that's kind of what we've done. We always try and improve it, make it better, make it more accessible. And we definitely feel like food is something that we all love when we go to Christmas markets, wherever they are in the world. And we want to make more sweet things really. And we're going to try and get some more food vendors outside. We're also going to team up with some local businesses around like the Barras area to open up for you guys on the Wednesday and Thursday as well. So you can all explore around the air.area. We've got new small businesses come in and some of your firm favorites coming back. We've got two additional rooms in there as well where we're going to open them up and you cando a bit more interactive stalls as well. Think like charm making, welded bracelets. You couldhave your base drawn. You can make your own journals. There's so many cool businesses comingthis year and we just can't wait to have you again. Hopefully have some new entertainment as well.
22:52We'll be there as well. As always. Cash for kids are fantastic charity. So pleaseremember to bring any new and unused Christmas gifts. However big or small, we went last yearand went to B&M and just spent like, I don't know, I think it was like a hundred quid on.Loads of great little gifts for kids. Anything like books, toys, colouring in. Toileteries.Literally anything. Up to the age of 18. Yeah. We'll put a guide up anyway like we had before justof wee ages and things that they need more of. Yeah. So I think there's like certain groups of peoplethat they lack. Well one year we went and packed and wrapped some presents, didn't we?they were actually distributing them to everybody.
23:29And there was definitely buckets that were a lot more sparse than others.Yeah.I think it might be almost like newborn and then like 17 to 18.The older kids, yeah.Because other toys can kind of like spread across different ages.Do you know what I mean?Yeah, true. But we'll put as much information out as we can
23:44and keep an eye on socials for all of our vendor announcements as well. And we will also have a raffle as well this year as we always dofor some exciting prizes that you can win.And when you come to the venue on the big screen, the back we'll have a rotating thing of all the stores deals what you can expect we'll havea map when you come in as well but you could also use our carousels that we share on oursocials as a guide before you shop so you can make sure you can like write and making a B linefor X, Y, Z.
24:11Get what you want.Yes.If you're a gift.Yes.So exciting.Love it.It's such a fun few days.Everyone loves it.
24:20It's like the start of the festivities. It's all cozy and warm, hot chocolates.Music.Mint pies.music.Vibes?I just think absolute vibes.Yeah.
24:30Wrap up cosy becausethis outdoor seating's open. There'll be music outside. You can go and take your foodand go and eat out thereand have a little mooch.Begag it and better is what I'm going to see.Fingers crossed.
24:41Let's do it.Pump it.Pump it.Before we move on to our dilemmas, last week we were talking about mybirthday presies. And I was correct. My cards.
24:58and presents all arrived two days later. So there must have been...There was a delay.Must have. But interestingly,I said about that Puffet coat.Yeah.And I've had a couple of messages today
25:10because the pods come out todaywhere I said,it hadn't arrived and I'd heardit was rubbish quality.Guys, that's incorrect information. It's actually amazing.I love that coat so much. That's funny,
25:23isn't it?And you wouldn't have bought that as well? No, I wouldn't.Now, I do think that maybethere's different styles.and the person that messaged memaybe got like a different thinner materialbecause she was like it was quite thin
25:33but let me explain it to you rightit's basically I got the brown short pufferI think the zip in the material was excellent qualityit was fleece linedit had adjustable straps on the sleeveand the hood I showed youit was so big that it actually covered like my eyesmy damson and maddened one
25:50that is the one thing that annoys me about itI got it mostly for the hoodand obviously to look chic as fuckand it just comes up to hereyeah it doesn't go right over your hairSo it's so good for that. And it actually looks good. It's fully waterproof as well.
26:03So I would say if you were thinking of you've been targeted at the Puffet jacket,me personally, I think it's well worth the money. And my mum messaged me like, because she's coming up to Glasgow this week,I've bought a new coat for the trip, and then she sent me a picture and it was the black version. She didn't know I had it.That's so weird.I've never seen this come up.
26:20Really?Maybe I've just not engaged.P-U-F-F-I-T, all one word.Puffet.Yeah.So fingers crossed.Perfect.Louder!
26:32Too many times you could do it except. So, yeah, I would recommend that. And I got, from my dad, some Majury gold earrings.Just super simple, hoagy hoops. These are expensive, by the way.I reckon these were about over 100 quid.Majury, it was quite expensive, isn't it?But worth it.
26:52Yeah, the packaging was nice.So I got some of those.Anyway.Love it.But Zoe spoke about her.watching her vlog this morning when I was getting ready to come hereand Zoe did the vlog last week on side dishabout all your gifts from your 30th birthday
27:04and I think that's actually such a good vlog to watchbecause she speaks about like all the stuff that you gotbecause you got so many gifts because you had a partyand all the little things that people thought ofI think it's so good.Loads are like wee trinkets butfelt really personal to me I loved itmaybe you could list them for the newsletter
27:21yeah definitelyso I do think that's helpful because what I said in the vlog as wellwas a lot of the time you're in mybe going to a party of someone that you maybe wouldn't buy for.So a lot of friends don't do presents.No.But then do you want to go to a party empty-handed?Probably not.
27:37And maybe a big birthday.Yeah.Like birthday drinks for like a fucking 30 second at Mallow,you're not going to take a gift.No.But a 30th or 40th, whatever.So it's quite good for stuff like that.Someone...
27:50By the way, mentioning Mallow.I've got money back. She have also messages in the chat as well saying that she got money back. Her and Haley.Because they'd connected it.And by the way, this is...This is not like sponsored it in any way.Like we have what partnered with shuffle in previous episodes,
28:02but we keep talking about it because we just love it just as much as you guys, by the way.No, I know.We genuinely fucking love it.And the next morning, Shib or Haley messages me like,it pays to be a pod pig, they said. And then they sent me a screenshot of the refund of like 17 quid for Mallow.I was like, oh, that's sick.I went into the app and I checked and it was the same for us as well.
28:22Well, I paid for both our drinks on our show me on my baguette a wee bit more than that.Yeah.We actually are going to partner.with shuffle again for our Christmas markets, which is really exciting. They said that thefeedback has been insane when people have used our code. They said it's actually incredible. So thankyou guys for always believing and supporting us. We genuinely do only work with people and brandsthat we truly believe. Yeah. And that is one that I just knew would be so sick. So thank you somuch for you zo for reaching out to them and creating a great partnership for a start. And yeah, so
28:51because of that, they've said we'd like to work with you again. And they said, for your Christmasmarkets, one of their venues is bad.So regardless if we partner with them for the event or not, whoever has the shuffle app and comes to our Christmas markets and buys a drink at the baror food, you will get cash back. That's a guarantee. You're getting that. But we're also going to try and partner with them on the night to give something a little
29:14bit extra for any shuffle members. So make sure you have the app downloaded before you come. And there may be a few freebies for you on the night. And user code a lot on your plate.A-L-O-Y-P-26 for six months free.you've not already signed up.Some extra sponsorship for you there, Shuffle. We're good to you.
29:30We are.Anyway, let's go into some ghost stories, shall we?Let's do it.Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo.Woo-woo-woo-woo.So scary.Spooky story. My partner myself and other family members run at Airbnb.
29:48My partner was sleeping at the top of the houseand woke up one night stating he saw a young boyabout 12 or 13 in his room walking about dressing black. He said he got up and put the light onand as he did the boy disappearedbearing in mind my partner is the biggestnon-believer and all of that stuffI contacted the owner and this was his reply
30:07there's an old storylocals used to tell about the sunset houselong before it was ever renovateda boy lived there who used to sleep in the top roomone night he woke up thinkingsomeone was calling his name from the landingbut when he opened the door there was no one thereafter that he kept saying someone was
30:23visiting him at night all was the same timeall was calling from the landingOh, Zoe, that's giving me the shivers.I don't like ghosts.Do you?Do you know what makes me think about it?You know, when you watch scary movies, right? This is why I don't like horror films.
30:42Because I feel like you are inviting in the bad omen into your mind. And it's almost like you're inviting them into your homewhen you start thinking about it.Yeah.So I always feel like when you go to bed that night, you always seem to run up the stairs. It's been a long time since I've watched one. It's kind of like a mind game thing.
30:58Yeah. And the moment it's almost like you then sort of hyper aware of energy around you.Noisies, bangs, like scrapes.Yeah. So at the moment, me and Richard having Jensen's in a bit of a phase where he keeps waking up shouting. And it's always around 1 a.m. and he does not want to be in that room anymore at all.And we keep saying it must be nightmares. Maybe he's at this age now, he's having nightmares. He whimpers a little bit in his sleep. But he doesn't want to be in the room. And the room that he's in is a little bit creepy, don't you think?
31:32Yeah, but you bet, yeah. It's kind of a small, tiny bedroom. It's got his own little mini loft in it, which I've never been up there, by the way. What the fuck is up there?Yeah, fuck that. And I just know, when he's a little bit older and he starts looking up at the ceiling,he's going to be like, there's monsters in that loft. And I'm going to have to constantly go in and be like,
31:53What about C.Has camera, does it record?Zoe, stop that.Yes, it does.Stop that.Fuck off.Go story incoming.My mum's house was beyond haunted.
32:07Like everyone who came to the house said it had this weird haunted energy vibe.Yeah.My mum used to say she'd wake up seeing people at the end of the bed,but I didn't believe it until I had two scary experiences myself.First one.I was sat sitting on the couch watching TV while my mum was in the shower.Oh, fuck it out.And the doors were really rubbish.
32:26Like if you walk past them, they would open,or if the front door opened, et cetera. So were the doors. While I was sitting there,my mom, in quotes, walked past, and I,oh, this makes me feel funny.Walk past and I saw what I thought was her walk past
32:41because the door opened while she was walking, and I saw a person. Then I heard the shower on,so I went to go check why she had left the shower on.She was still in the shower. Then I moved out for a few yearsAnd when I moved back inI moved back into what was her room
32:57One night I was tossing and turning so muchTrying to get to sleepOh fuck offNoI turned around to the windowAnd I saw this Victorian-style womanIn a long whiteWhy are they always in white gowns
33:10Because it's go ghostWhy are they always in long dressesI saw these Victorian-style womanIn a long white night dressAnd fully shat myselfI couldn't breatheIt was so scaryand it disappeared immediately because I audibly gasped.
33:23Ooh!I think they thought I was my mum.She said she speaks to them nicely and asks what they want.Oh.Also, for my mum's 50th,I had to put up ceiling balloons in my own house for a surpriseand hung polaroids on them. Why does this make me feel funny?
33:40I feel like I'm invited in the...There's bad vibes in this studio.Definitely. I feel funny.Oh, come on. Relax.I do.This is why I hate horror films, Zoe.It makes me feel a...I'm gonna be fucked tonight.
33:52And she's got a big massive spider hanging up behind her as well.I'm just double fucked.Double fuck. Also, honestly, Jensen's going to be screaming tonight. For my mom's 50th, I put up ceiling balloons in my own house for a surprise. And I hung polar voids on them of all picks of herslash when she was young slash family and me and her.We were sitting on my sofa chatting and she started getting upset about her brother,
34:17my uncle, that had passed away.a few years ago and I shit you not,a balloon starts falling from the ceilingand gliding over to us.We were creeped out and then we were both like, what the fuck is the polaroid on that balloon?Sure enough, it was a picture of my mum with my uncle.I'm sorry, I'm just thinking,
34:35I think my mum's spooky's fuck and she's the problem, not the hoose. No, I think so as well.I actually do think it's maybe more people.Yeah.That's a bit like tarot card readers and stuff.Yeah, like they can feel the energy.from people.
34:52Ooh.I've actually been saying to the girls in group chat, right,I've been having the weirdest thing and it's not spooky. But I keep dreaming people are pregnant and they are.Or like a few weeks later they announce it.And it's really real. It's happened now probably about three or four times. And every time it's been right.
35:14However.Please tell me if that's me because I've had a couple of people recently that I've thought of,which I told you about.Yeah.and they're yet to announce.So, yeah, I think they're pregnant.No, that's strange, isn't it?You've got a sixth sense.
35:30I know.Right, here we go.We were staying at the Mar-hall Hotel once through the weekand had just a couple drinks in a meal.Isn't that meant to be haunted, by the way?I think I read that one. Here you go.To get to a room, there was a small hallway
35:45that had an automatic light when you entered the hallway. It was the only room,of the hall by the way.Woke up to our door handle turningin what sounded like someone scratching at our door.Couldn't see the light that came onautomatically coming through under the door either.I shouted, are you okay?
36:02And there was no reply. And the noiseimmediately stopped. We were so spookedwith this point to my husband called reception.I kind of have the ick about this now, lull. The reception staff sounded sketchyon the phone and said we will check it out.Never heard anyone come to check anything, nor did Ihear anyone leaving. When I went back
36:18to work, I told this story and one of thehealth care assistants said, were you in room four?I can't remember the exact room number, but I do think it was room four. And she said that room was haunted as I used to work there. And unbeknown to us, the hotel used to be a hospital for amputees. We'll never step foot in there again.I was terrified. My husband who never believed in ghost does now.
36:41Don't you think this reminds you a little bit of...I do think anything that was a hospital before, though.Or school, why are they always weird like that? But that kind of makes sense to me.die in a hospital so like maybe their spirit doesn't leave there.Do you know it's weird it's a little bit like that um I know this is completelydifferent in the sense of like genre of movie but you know interstellar yeah andeveryone's living in like a parallel universe.
37:09Don't you sometimes think like when you die you maybe go maybe not as yourself Idon't know but you go to a different universe where you couldpotentially see or reach back to a different place.Yeah.There must be something. There has to be.Even when people go to these like future tellers and stuff and they speak tothe dead and they come back to you because you're putting that energy out there.
37:39It's almost like if you have to believe in it so much, you're giving that energy off toallow it to come in.But like when people have to put fucking sage in that in the house because they've invitedin bad ju-ju.Yeah.and they have to kind of like get it away.I think if you believe in something so much,it almost attracts it to you.
37:58No, I think if you believe in something so much, you start going about it, start crazy. You believe that that shit's real.I think there's definitely something, though.I just think once you read, you read. No, Zoe, I don't, I couldn't think any different to you in that sense. No shock there.I'll put it as pod.
38:20No, I do definitely think signs come in terms of, like, like, you know, like, they be sort of like feathers or ladybugs and like things like that.Like you, yeah.Yeah.I don't think the person's, I don't think. No, I don't think it's physically possible for a person to be like here. But I do think it's all about energy. We've said it before.
38:39I don't think energy could be destroyed. It has to be transferred.Yeah.I do.No, I guess I don't completely.I don't believe in maybe like readings and stuff that much.Because I think, yeah.I've just, I've never done it.
38:53I don't want to do it, but also...There's also a lot of people that are to push as well.Like, you can say that to anyoneand it would light a bulb in your head and you'd be like,oh my God, yeah. But like a star sign.Yeah.Like it is kind of a lot of push in a way.
39:06But I do also think that weird shit happens sometimes.Yeah.Like you maybe are talking about something and then you see it and you're like,I've not seen you in 20 years and I was talking about you yesterday.Just be like mind games almost. But when you dream about people and you're not thought about it and you see them. You're like, oh, see them on face.I mean like, what the hell?
39:25I think almost like does your body know what's coming so then it naturally, but maybe like in the opposite way.Do you know what I mean?I saw somebody where they explain what deja vu was and it was like, scientificallydeja vu, is it something like where there's a glitch in the speed of when you see something? And it makes you think, so you've already seen it but you've not recognised it yet.So then when you do see it, you feel you've done it before?Yeah.
39:52I mean, that would make sense.I think they should have quite a lot.Don't you? Sometimes it actually terrifies you.And what annoys me is I have that weird thingwhen I can't remember something.Yeah.Like I need everyone to stop until I remember that.Like see if you said to me
40:10when we went to that cafe that dayand we got those cakes, I'd be like when.Yeah, you're quite good at that. You didn't have to think about it.It's like you go back into the root of your brain. No, I do.With me, I'm like, get we?But like, I don't really remember a lot,
40:24but I need to find the root of the memory. And then you always find it.I'm always thinking why we were there and what we were doing and what we're with and what we're wearing.Yeah, you're good at that. But that's because it freaks me out if I don't.I'm like, oh my God, I'm forgetful.Like, I really need to get to it.But kiddie memories, they're long gone.
40:41I can't get them back.See, I'm opposite to you.I remember a lot of that.I don't.But there's one thing that really does get my brain really, really fucked. And I hope people can also think that they've ever.ever thought in this state. But it's when you sit there and you think deeply about like, like, what is this?
41:01No, we're not doing that today. And then you almost sort of like freeze because then you go so deep and deep and deep inyour head. And then it's like, what is the point of this?Like what literally is the point of this? We're literally going to die. What is the point? And then it almost kind of levels you out of it because it's like all these things
41:18that you may be worry about. It's like literally no point. We go, everyone you see right now, it's going to be dead in 100 years.I know, I know.So I don't give a fault what you think. But it's deeper than that, it's a bit like, what is the point?Where are we going? No, I know.
41:33I do a key with you on that.Yeah, but I don't like to go to that place. Then that makes me feel very strange. What makes me feel strange is like, that like I could never experience what it's like to be you, for example.Like you are just you and I'm just me and there's not another me.Like there's not another of anyone.Thank God.
41:54But do you know what I mean, though? It's like, and it's almost like, but imagine I was alive as her.Yeah.It's like that.So it's like when you walk by people and it's like, I'm watching you walk, but you're also doing the same thing. So I wonder what you look like when you see.Yeah.
42:08And also, what is the thing that you can't ever see?You can't ever see is at the back of your head?It is?No, you can see the ears in the mirror.Oh, right.Okay.I see what you mean.Right.
42:23It must be the back, you can't ever see the back of your eyes.head unless it's like in a reflection or in a picture or something like that and stuff likethat freaks me out like no matter how much I try it's impossible impossible that wouldn't botherme I think that your way is like lack of control mine is lack of control but then I doI don't think you could ever be putting a coffin hunt I think you'd need to be burnt yeah I evenyou would be claustrophobic down there no I even saw a video of someone doing the traitors experiencein London other day and I thought I won't be able to do thatOh my goodness me.
42:58So some therapy before then I fear.Because it looked quite dungeon-like.Yeah.Hard.Depends what mindset I'm in though. It comes and goes with me, definitely. And I can talk myself out of it.But sometimes I can.
43:13You can have that graveyard as well, Zoe.Like, you know when you see gravestones and that of people that were from like 1,500?It's like, why are you still got a gravestone? They must never go.Well, they don't.They're buried under there. No, no, but you go to a graveyard, right?and you've got all these greatsides.
43:28That's what I mean. That's what I mean. How's it enough space for you?Not of your family are still alive. But bone, but like people, bodies go in with other bodies in the same bit.So then they'll just, like, be a pile of bones together and a spirit together.I don't want to be laid back on top of no one. You'd get cremated, would you not?
43:51No, because, see, I've got this weird thing right. What if you were still alive? No.I feel.like, because I just do believe that energy is transferred, I believe what happens if the burningthing...Keld you off?Yeah.
44:07I'm fine with that.I know you would be.I don't want to be like watching down on like the world. I was once part of.No, I want to go somewhere else.Nah.Nah.I want to go and live another life?Nah, I'm fine not doing that.
44:19Actually, I'm happy to die.I'm happy to say, do you know what?My time has come.Goodbye, my fans, I'm all.Goodbye, my lover.I'll leave you all behind my fortunes. They want to come and dance far on the rainbows,me?
44:36I'm leaving my fortunes behind.Done my bit.Nah.See you later. She's off. Also, I do think probably when you get to the age of like 95,you're like, I'm so done.I feel like that in 30 years, right?
44:52I'm not doing this in our 65 years with me.I know, that's so long.65 years and that.Do you think it's weird, right? When you're going to be 70, you're going to be retired. We've got to do our whole life again. We won't be retired at 70.No, I know.
45:06But I mean...I mean, listen.I know we're only joking in saying, listen, Jess. It's an absolute privilege to age.Like, no doubt about it.Absolutely.Absolutely.Like, I'm only...
45:16I genuinely am only joking. But to think that you've got to...You almost think like, oh my God, like I'm nearly...Sometimes you do think, like, I'm nearly 40, nearly 50.It's like, actually...But then one should I need, you don't feel that way.But if you had to do a whole life again, I'm still only going to be 70.My whole entire life again.
45:3682 actually.No, no, no, no.What would I be?71.Yeah.So I think to myself, you know what?Fucking brule.76, I can't think.
45:50I cannot think. You'd be 71.Yeah, but it's like, that's absolutely real.through that hole again and I'm still not deed hopefullyI just be retired about to go and live a whole new lifemy darkest thought isnobody knows when they're going to dieanyway let's read another ghost story
46:06if somebody could tell you tomorrowthat they could tell you when and where it would be would you want to knowno which is quite shocking for mesame but I don't want to know thatanyway what a spooky terrifying conversationokay so this is something that genuinelyfreaked me out and I've never experienced anything like itsince I was asleep
46:24and the pitch black in the middle of the nightwhen I thought I heard my mum coming into my room.I could see her dressing gownbut I couldn't really see her face. She came over, sat down on the bed beside meand put her arms around me.At first I thought nothing of itbecause I generally thought it was my mum.
46:38But then all of a sudden she was practically on top of meand I felt like I was being suffocated.I remember thinking, wait a minute, that's not my mum.I started shouting I can't breathe, get off me and then nothing.I just remember conking out.I woke up the next.
46:54morning, hours later, thinking, what the hell was that? Did that really happen or was I dreaming? But here's when it gets even weirder. That morning at breakfast, my mum casually tells me that shewoke up in the middle of the night and thought she saw a woman sitting in the chair beside herbed, just staring at her. She thought it might have been her grand who died over 30 years ago,and she said it absolutely freaked her out. So I'm thinking, let me get this straight.I've had an experience where something that looked like my mum was trying to suffocate me,and at the exact same time, my mum thinks she's seen a woman sitting beside her bed in the middlethe night. Now, could there be a perfectly logical explanation for both of these things? Absolutely. Could
47:30I have been dreaming, of course. But the fact that we both experienced something so strangeon the same night as what gets me. And you know what? I've never experienced anything like it againand I'm quite happy to keep it that way. Because if that was my great grand trying to pay as a littlevisit from beyond the grave, I did not need a family reunion. Like, she was stopping me from breathing.Jesus Christ, Christ, Granny.NoButDo you not think that that could have been
47:57Like a lucid dreamBut her momThat had to say a thingI know that part is really strangeBut there's many times where I seeI can physically see people in the roomAnd I know that I'm dreamingNo
48:10I'm awakeBut I'm likeI think you knowIt's when you're dreaming thoughIn fact saying thatIt's never really peopleIt's more thingsYeah
48:20And a lot of the timeFaces and dreams aren't really thereUnless it's like your palsYou're quite aware of thatBut like external peopleWhen you actually think about the next dayYou can't really rememberNo I think that's weird
48:35Because it also happened to the mumYeahIn the same nightMaybe they can only get to you via like dreamsYeah maybeYou readyWhen I was about 15I was up past midnight watching movies on the telly
48:53I could hear my parents chatting and walking around upstairs, probably getting ready for bed, until I heard of something crash.I went upstairs to see what happened.Maybe my mum or dad dropped something, but nobody was there.I was so confused.I went back downstairs,
49:07only for my parents to walk through the front doorafter a night out with friends. They weren't home the entire night. What exactly was upstairs that night? No.Then, when I was 12, and then I was home alone, all the lights and electricity in my house went out suddenly.it turns out at that exact moment my uncle had passed away.
49:28What the hell?I have a ghost story.I work in a dental practice and one day I was on reception desk.At the desk it was a conservatoryso you could see patients coming in and out.It was COVID time so we had to let patients in and out, etc.Anyway, I seen an old man patient come round with a hat onand a navy blue jacket.
49:47I got up to open the door, but when I got up, off my seat, no one was there.I opened the door and checked the gardenNo one was thereI even walked round the pathStill no one was thereI'm convinced it was a ghostAs there would have been no way
50:01This old man would have got away so quicklyThe dental practice is an old houseAnd the staff did say that ghosty thingsHappened there beforeWowHere's anotherI work in a care homeThree people who have stayed in the same room
50:14Have all mentioned seeing this little girlIn a red coat in their roomA staff member years ago said the sameBut no one thought it was truenone of the residents in that roomhave ever met each other as it was one after the otherand they all had very advanced dementiaso can't even say they maybe heard the story
50:29always gives me the creeps thinking about itthat is fucking weirdwhy is it certain people that are like trappedit's like their soul is trapped in this placeand they need to be let goand then that makes me feel kind of sadI know but why is that? And then like that's a shame for these wee people
50:49who can't escapeDo you know what I mean? There must be a reason. If it's all true, there must be a reasonwhy certain spooky soulsstay in one placeor can't, or choose to sort of hauntcertain people.
51:06I may have the best slash worstghosted story everthat I feel I have only just healed from, long. Two years ago, I matched with a guy on Tinderwho was in the Navy and back home for a while. He ended up getting deployedwhen we were chatting, but the chat kept going and I was so attracted to him.
51:24He was so into me, he kept telling me how obsessed he was with me.He ended up being back home not long after being deployed due to a family bereavement. He had literally booked as a table for dinner the first night he was home whilst waiting for his flight back homeas he desperately wanted to take me out.He was so sweet, handsome and the heat was real.We seen each other a few times in the first week and he ended up inviting me over to his parents to meet them.He also met my family in this time too.things were going great, but he was due to go back to where he was deployed.
51:55We decided to go out for a night away the night before his flight and I would drop him off at the airport. We had a great night, wink, wink. And then dropped him off the next morning for his flight. He was due back home again in four weeks' time and he was already talking about flying me out to go to the Christmas markets near where he was based.Anyway, didn't happen. As a day he landed, he ghosted me.Five days later, messaged me and said he was busy, catching up with his washings.
52:23But wasn't wanting topursue things anymore after a fewthings came up on our night awaythat he wasn't sure about. He failed tomention that when we were in the room, hewas one playing for Kinopoli andwatching flight radar in the hotel roomwhen he's got a gorge girl in it with him.
52:38Loll, obviously her. Yeah.So that was maybe a bit of red flag for her at the time.Still to this day, I'm raging I mademy him my famous macaroni cheesewhilst he made small talk with my mum.I've never heard anything since.was totally heartbroken actually. Two years later to the day it happened,
52:53and I love myself so much more to know I never deserved it.But also, still to this day, haven't ever made that macaroni cheese for dinner again.I'm also how many message I've sent to youhas been how shite my love life has been.Oh, sweetheart, your time will come. It's a shame when you hear the other end of it, isn't it?We do say you shouldn't go someone anyway,
53:15but it does come out of the blue for people, and you just think, and it can fuck you up for a long timeYeah, it's as a shitYou've had a quick message actuallyFrom somebody about last week's episodeAboutExperimenting in your sexuality
53:31Shall we sayLet's see thatHey girls, I'm just listening to your podAnd listening to the first I'll rememberAbout the girl who started to like a femaleFrom afarAnd is now just trying to decide what she isAnd scared about people's responses
53:41I was 42And I've been with menMy whole entire lifeI went to a partyAnd got talking to a girland was hooked. From then on, we have been together a yearand it was the best decision I made.
53:54I was never sure if I was into women, but she confirmed it, Loll.I was also scared about what people would say,but there was no big announcement. It was just telling my family and telling my friendsand then everyone just moved on with their day.Tell her not to be scaredbecause the world is a big place
54:10and you don't want to miss your chance of meeting your person. If she hasn't spoken to me that night,I would definitely still be single. There you go.There you go, sis.Now with that, wee boost some of you need.Woo-hoo-hoo.Love that.
54:24Right.Let's finish on a dilemma. So my best friend started seeing someoneand within a very short space of time they fell pregnant.Since she's had the baby, I just cannot stand him. It's a thing that is growing daily and I'm afraid it might impact her friendship. He's lazy, manipulative and gaslights her into thinking her emotions and their falloutsare due to the fact she's hormonal.
54:43Not the fact he's lazy and she's doing literally everything in the house herself. She came to me in tears as he doesn't get up to late morning, day. Always excuses from him and he's also a big drinker every evening. He only works part-time and thenthe next week he's supposedly amazing again. I have had conversations about this with her whenwe've had a drink together but I honestly think he is so far into her head now she can't see him thesame as all of our close friend group can. Do I just stay silent now and let her come to me when she'sfeeling down? I feel like such a shit friend as I honestly can't even look at him the same now. That's a hard one by the way. I think that's a really hard one but it's really good.
55:19and it shows how much of a good friend you arebecause you're really concernedand considerate about her feelings, especially going into probably the biggest life-changing experienceever where you need a good support system. But I do think you're absolutely valid to not have to like him.I don't think you need to like him,but I think you definitely need to be careful
55:39how you like do the next steps.Navigate it, yeah.Yeah.And I think that is because the moment you startalways sort of bitching about him,to her constantly. She will then always probably defend himas she will because she'll feel the need to
55:56and it'll get to a point where she'll then stoptelling you anything about himand that will then become in between your friendshipyou'll then start resenting herand I probably reckonyou need to just be a bit more of a listening earwhich I think you probably are.And maybe word it differently
56:12so if she starts ranting to youdon't then be like oh my God that was so shitright, right? Maybe just turn around to me likebe like, and how did that make you feel when he did that to you?Yeah.Question it so she's opening up more where she feels like it's a safe space, but it's almost like she's having self-realisation of being like, eventually she's like, shit, she's almost saying it out loud of how he's making her feel.
56:36Yeah, like she might then start saying, I actually feel really unsupported or I feel quitelonely doing it, like being a parent or whatever.I would do all of that and then I think once she's kind of,of out of maybe like let's saythe sort of likenewborn hard stageyeah maybe like even likeas far as a year I would say like I wouldn't do anything before then
57:00if it's still the same and she tries to moan about him againI would just be saying like we're literally a year innothing's changed like you've experienced this for a yearlike do you really want toyeah but it's so difficultdo you want to really be encouraging likeI split up in that moment eitherno but then you probably probably
57:19all we do if it's really bad actually. And people can change and I do think that she will realize this.I'm speaking from experience in the sense of like resentment does kick in even if youdidn't have it in a relationship before when you have a baby because a lot of it doesfall quite heavy on to the mum.Yeah.In most cases. And I do think that she will then be like he is being lazy.
57:40He keeps drinking on weeknights. We can't afford to stay in bed until midday when we've got a baby waking us up atthe cracker dawn.Like she will feel this so heavily.and the last thing she'll wantis A, having her friends just sort of turn their back on her at that pointShe'll feel so shitBut also, I do think that'll give her the realisation of maybe what she needs
57:58And I know that's sad in the sense of likeYou don't want to have a broken homeBut unfortunately, she is having his babyThat's happening. That's facts now.And he also, give him the benefit of the doubt,He might be like, oh my God, I want to knock the drinking on the head.I want to support her.
58:15Well, it might just take a guy like six monthsto do the realisation versus instantlybecause they're not the one that's physically had the kid.Yeah. So it might be a case oflike, and also see once thethe kid starts, I know they shouldn't get the choice rightbut unfortunately that's the way it can besometimes once the kid starts
58:32maybe like having a bit more of personalityand being a bit more let's sayfun or enjoyable. The dad might kick in and just be betterin different ways. Yeah.Like it might turn it around. But I definitely, I agree with youI think if we're talking years down the line and she's still going on about it,
58:50you can say, look, a baby didn't even change it, X, Y, Z didn't even change it.Like, or if she's thinking, do I really want to grow my family? You could maybe use it an opportunity to be, like, do you really, though, like with someone who didn't even support you that much?Yeah. If there's an opportunity, take it.But I think up until then, you just need to be a listener.Yeah.And you can, like, agree and have your comments,
59:09but I don't think she's trying back her into a corner of feeling like she's got a choice to make.Because I think that sometimes your friends vent you rightand they'll say things about their partners. But at the moment you start then calling them back, you do have the duty of being a bit like,no, I know, maybe that's a bit unfair. It wasn't this. And you don't like hearing your friends call your partner's names.
59:31So I think if then you're,you will then back her into a corner.I think you need to allow her to have her rantand then ask her questions initially. And then if it gets to the point where she's having like a freaking mentee be,it's like, right.we need to have an intervention here. There's a baby involved now.
59:49Yeah, definitely.Like, it is quite serious.Yeah.But I do think there's just such, as a friend, you do have a duty of allowing the moansand being able to forget about it.Yeah, but a lot of friends can't now.I know.
01:00:02And that's a tough one.You call your partner like X, Y, Z,but they're not X, Y, Z all the time.Of course not.Or you would be worth them. Or most...Some are.Some are.A lot of them not.
01:00:12And a lot of friends are actually quite good at me.can you think maybe I've always been dramatic actuallyor like maybe I'm the problem which is me half the time I thinkI have to speak to you sometimes timevice versa I'm always right but I think when you get to know yourfriends partners as well and you've got quite a good relationshipit is quite a good thing because you can kind of say likeokay maybe that they're not the most X but they're also really good with Y
01:00:39yeah so like pick your battles sort of thing like they're not going to be perfectIt's going to be perfect all the time. And we're not either. But yeah, I think with this one,you just, maybe she needs to learn it the hard way a wee bit.Or else you're just, life's going to be hell. But first and foremost,
01:00:55I do think it's really good that you are.So, like, it just shows how much you're thinking about it.Absolutely.Yeah.But I would maybe have a conversation with your inner circle friendsand just be like, right, you do really need to be there for your friend in this time, right?First trimester is really fucking tough.
01:01:10Especially when, I don't know what trimester she's in, by the way,No, the baby's here.Oh.The baby's in existence.Oh, right.I thought she was pregnant. She just found out she was pregnant.Wait, let me say.
01:01:22Sorry, I didn't, I missed that bit totally.Well, okay.Fourth trimester is equally as hard as the first.So, yeah, the baby is existing.The baby is existing.Holy shit.So that's what she's saying.Like, they're drinking and everything's still happening.
01:01:39He's not supporting her. He's saying that their fallouts and things are,her hormones are all over the place.Right.This is what really irritates me about men, right. Both feelings can coexist at the same time.We can be hormonal, but we can be fucking pissed off as well.Yeah.
01:01:58Do you know what I mean by that?Like, yes, sometimes it heightens it.But you are allowed to be angry at the time of your periodabout something that does not relate to your period. But I think everything we've said still stands.Oh, 100%.Like you, she is going to realize it even more as she goes to the tougher times of motherhood. It's going to be a case of like, I'm realising even more that you're in your bed until 12 o'clock,
01:02:25that you're not supporting me because you need to support more than ever.So she's going to come in this realization on her own.And then it's up to her whether she's fine to settle with her or not and see if she is, you need to leave her to it.What is this, what is with these deadbeat dads?Honestly, like, don't force you to have a baby.also who can be ours drinking every nightseriously and why do you want toyou probably feel more fresh
01:02:51of getting up with that baby sober than you wouldbeing hung over every day I knowloser but yeah I think you just need to keep doingwhat you're doing and just be there for her when she needsbut not share your opinion too much on himpersonallyI think you can share it on the situations that she's sharing with youto your friend shout with us
01:03:09yeahbut yeahIt's a tough one because, like I've said, she's going to stop sharing it with youbecause that's baby daddy. And you know what?Sometimes you just need to acceptthat your friends are okay with things.
01:03:25Do you know what I mean? The strings I wouldn't accept in a relationshipthat someone else would, things that I would that someone else wouldn't.And that's okay.Because you just take what you're willing to takefrom different traits of people. So sometimes you just need to say,
01:03:40you know what, she's a happy thing.Yeah, that's very true.So there's your wise words for today.Over and out, bitches.Keep us informed on that one.Please.Nicky, it's updated. Please remember to send us your dilemma's fully anonymous
