Starting point is 00:00:00 I think there's a reason why Offset is going on this marketing tour via Kaisenet, via Colorado appearance, and a lot of other interviews. Shout out to Bobby Althoff. Hopefully I'm still saying her name right or wrong. I don't know. Anyways, Offset has been on a very interesting marketing tactic, which is just show up and showcase your personality. And why is that a weird or off-putting, no pun intended. Marketing strategy is because most musicians like to play off the mysterious factor to get you to invest in their music more.
Starting point is 00:00:42 If you only hear about an artist through the music, you're more inclined to listen to the music more, right? Offset has been more than accessible. I think there's a reason for that as top 50 billboards is hard for, offset and Cardi to stay on currently. With that being said, I want to transition into Cardi B and making the stallion for one second, more of a side tangent than a transition.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Bongo's is currently holding on for their life on the Billboard Top 50. Why am I saying that is because literally WAP was one of the longest debut singles by a female rapper, right? and that was between Cardi B and Megan the Stallion. Now, that's been surpassed by Nikki Minaj's Super Freaky Girl, which is by far her most successful track of her career, as far as not all time, of course, but as far as, as fast as it,
Starting point is 00:01:51 as fast as it got to number one, and as long as it stayed charting, it's her most successful track. Obviously, she probably has more downloads and listens from older tracks. Basically, what I'm getting to this, what I'm getting at is Cardi put out a sequel inherently to Watt and with Bongo's is basically not performing like she thought it would, which is no discredit to Cardi B or Megan. I'm just pointing out numbers. So with that being said, Travis Scott coming out with a feature for offset said, my grace,
Starting point is 00:02:31 do y'all notice a pattern here first we have cardi b having conier west and little dirk on a single then carty b has megan the stallion which should have been a surefire not like home run because wop is literally one of the biggest rap singles of all time when it comes to women you have wap you have best friend i believe yes the the track with doja cat and sweetie that's how i We're going to get to my take with Doja Cat, right? And her album sells and me just being terribly wrong. But as far as singles, Doja Cat still outperforming everybody. Like to take Sweetie and make a 30-week charting track with her,
Starting point is 00:03:16 I mean, it's probably even more about now. But that's some talent in itself. That's like when LeBron took the second year Cleveland team to the finals. Like, that was just some next-level carrier, right? That besides the point. You had Tomorrow 2 with Glowrilla that Cardi B inherently helped out when she hopped on. But I'm saying all this to say this. Cardi and Offset by themselves would not have an impactful track to the likes of a WOP,
Starting point is 00:03:48 to the likes of a Tomorrow 2. And Offset, one of his biggest singles, which is Rick Flair drip by himself, is not as successful as some people might think. right bad and bougie is by far migo's most successful track and that is with uzi vert now i'm not trying to say migos can't get a hit without being attached with somebody else but that kind of actually i am migos is literally collaborating with somebody else every single track i mean you have offset quavo takeoff i mean of course currently you know rest and piece of takeoff Cuevo is not really seeing eye to eye with offset
Starting point is 00:04:31 and guess who they have their biggest singles with each other and guess what they don't have bigger singles with without each other like even when Cuevo and Takeoff was doing their thing. I was still with each other when they made Hotel Lobby. Basically what I'm getting out is these Migos solo projects were not sell well and will not perform well if not attached to a bigger name that's had longevity
Starting point is 00:04:54 and a discography of selling records by themselves right so offset having take off off of offset having Travis Scott on this album which you can see right here on the analytic dreams video podcast Spotify version for the video you see them in a club I don't know what type of club this is but basically they're promoting the track of course you see Cardi B there she there she is right there you see uh is that metro it's the opposite I don't know if this metro offset. And then you see Travis Scott, right? I believe that's offset.
Starting point is 00:05:31 I'm tripping. And then Cardi B again. Basically, you get it. It's a reason why they're teaming up with these higher charting artists. And it's to put out an impactful track. Which is nothing wrong with it. Everybody tries to score when they shoot their shot. So let's see what happens with this particular single.
Starting point is 00:05:55 But at the end of the day, I just had to give my sentiment. off about that because them collaborating with some of the biggest names in music history instead of putting out a hit by themselves, I think just needs to be acknowledged so we know the tears as far as Nikki, a Drake, Doja Cat, Travis Scott, like the tears of artists and musicians who sell well by themselves, I think needs to be highlighted because stuff like this happens all the time and it's it's not a bad thing but definitely needs to be pointed out because I know a bunch of people who will come out of the woodworks to say oh this artist is way better than that artist or this artist is definitely 10 times a better than this artist and they
Starting point is 00:06:39 can't even chart in the top 50 for multiple weeks by themselves or even get into the top 50 by themselves so with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media's what do you think about my coverage of offset and Travis got said my grace obviously um not the most positive coverage of it but at the end of the day i like offset's music i can't wait till this track comes out and i like mego's music we just have to point out how some artists struggle to make solo impactful music and you know nothing wrong with that so click my link to in my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about Travis sky and offset putting out set my grades this Friday and will you be giving it a listen
