He went 3 in 3, a 500 game for him. Will he see in dangerous territory right now? He's got to show up in these last couple of weeks if he wants to shout out the title. If he wants to shout out the belt, as old Bill Compton would say, he's got to step it up a little bit. And then Moneyline Matthews

You threw a nice text out there saying this was the biggest lead the Packers have had since in the playoffs since 2010. Which I was a part of. So that got me fired up. I'll remind you. Would you know that. I plead with that. Because one of us, one of us showed up in the playoffs and another team this year.

They ain't really show up. So first off, don't let my one in five record distract you from a wonderful wild card weekend. I mean, it was like the initial four, four games, it's a four score, it's four point game. There's like 12 lead change. It's just unbelievable. What about the one in five? Didn't you go one to five last week? Yeah, like I said, don't get, you know, don't worry about that.

And let's just let's just, let's just address the elephant. Let's just talk about my package here, okay. in all seriousness, I was extremely disappointed in the Packers. I mean, the first half, I was telling you will before the show, LaFleur was in his bag. I mean, his play calling in the first half was unbelievable. You know, whoever's running the bus and accounts talking about, oh, buddy shouldn't have picked the ball. I go, no, watch Caleb on the sideline, takes his helmet off, he's screaming, you know, because they can't get on the same page.

So it was all downhill for the Bears, but they come out, just come. complacent, like some fat cats. And specifically watching the defense, they look tired. Would it never happen under Clayman. No, it would not have happened. I mean, and I see guys making business decisions. You guys know what I'm talking about. I don't like when former players come on and, you know, bash the team,

but making business decisions. Guys getting tired chasing after Caleb. All the momentum swung in the bear's favor. And I was really disappointed because, you know, I had my money on the Packers and they let me down. We can't use injuries as an excuse. Right, can't do it. Can't do it.

There's two things you brought up in your nice little monologue there. One, I think it's very big of you to not bring up that Will Compton after you went one in five the last two weeks. Will Compton's only one game in front of you in the standings. That's big of you and that shows a lot of leadership. I appreciate that. The second thing that I wasn't a huge fan of was on that fork down, you're saying they shouldn't have picked the ball. Absolutely not.

They should have picked the ball. They should not have picked the ball. That was a bad. That's what analysts say. That's what people who studied the game. People who studied the game. Dude, he cost them 30 yorkers. And guess what they did.

Cost them 30 yards. They went down and drove 80 yards and scored. But you got to look at the psychological effect on Caleb. He's pissed. He won the game. Hey, he's too young to understand, okay? He's too young to understand that that was a bad moment for him. Yeah.

I said the only way they were going to get it done was if Josh Allen put on his capon. What did he do? He put it on and won the game himself. You look at the teams who won this weekend. Matthew Stafford, Josh Allen, Brock Purdy and Caleb Williams

all quarterbacks Let's forget the last two games Okay, or the last game But those four back those quarterbacks Went out and won the game I see that happening this week I like the bills here I don't feel confident enough to bet one way or the other

Because I'm two and ten in the last couple weeks But what I really like getting into the The schematics of the team What I really like about the bills is They had the number one rush attack Going against the number one defense and the Jaguars Wasn't working for them So they go ahead

and who's my guy that they were, they were dinking and Dunkin's here. Shakir Kalir. What, 12 receptions, over 100, 82 yards. It was just an extension of the run game. They just find a way. And I know we talk about in a year

without Mahomes, without Burrow, without Lamar Jackson, it might just be the year. And I just, I don't want to steal what we talked about before the show, but this being Bo Nix's first game, I just think,

you know, there's going to be a rude awakening for him. I know that defense is incredible. You know, they'll obviously help them out. But I like the bills here. What's the line on? One and a half. I'm sorry. You know, I should ask.

It's kind of scattered everywhere too. Yeah, it's really a pickle. I like, so what I did, I tease the total score to 54.5, which is minus 3.30. And I'm going to take the under on that. I'm going to, hear me up. I like that. I'm going to parlay my four. Yeah, I'm at this age.

And I'm going to tell you what those odds are at the end. I already put my money where my mouth is. I sent it in the group chat. But give me the under at 54 and a half. I'm going to keep it 100. You can't lose with that because I was taking under with the 46 and a half. So moving that line to 54 and a half. Bro, it's only minus 3.30?

I think I like that. I like the under. I like the president likes us and you like that. Yeah. And this is it's Beau's second. They went. Oh, they would, but they got blown out against the bills. Against the bill.

This is a rematch. Yeah. Okay, well, number one seed at home. Could be a tough out and is all I think. Give me the under. Under. Under 54 and what I say? 54 and a half.

Minus 3.30. He said minus 130. No, minus 3.30. Oh. Yeah. Yeah, I'm good. Only four legs this week. That's a hitter.

Yeah. Like a tail. You're falling behind. Well, he's telling that he's going to tail. That's what he had to say. Yeah. Okay, so that's what your pick is as well. So the total in this game is 54 and a half.

No, the total. Oh, for us. Yeah. For all of us. Oh, yeah. If you want to join. Yeah, for all of it. I'm going, listen, I love where you guys's heads are at.

I'm probably going to jump on that parlay. You sit in the group chat later in the week. I'm going to pick the game. Because it is a pick-um. I liked what you said about the Broncos and Josh Allen. I think Josh Allen, 36 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. It was very clear that the better roster was the Jacksonville Jaguars at home this past week. They ran the ball for 6.1 yards per carry.

They get away from the run a little bit. Trevor Lawrence didn't really seem himself from the accuracy standpoint. They got a little pass happy. Which is you want to put that pressure on Trevor Lawrence. However, you had the key of the game right there and it was on the goal. round with with your running backs now I look at the Broncos and that's a complete team right they're the number one number two run defense number seven past defense they are very good the biggest question mark that the Broncos have is the only question mark that the bills don't

have and that is what is the quarterback going to show up and do a lot of times when you have a younger quarterback a guy that hasn't been the league very long and they have the one seed they're graced with the one seat because their season went so well that break could be detrimental for you and your team because I have no doubt that Think so with Bo and Nixon that professionalism? I love the professionalism. I love Sean Payton. They have a history of starting, starting slow and picking it up at the end.

They remind me a lot, not in such a dramatic way, but kind of how we perceive the Kansas City Chiefs last year, where they have all these one-score win games, comes down to a couple gimmicky things that take place in order for them to win. The Broncos have a better roster. They probably have a better coaching staff. They definitely have better wide receivers. Definitely. But something about Josh Allen, this path that we talked about without Lamar Jackson, without Patrick Mahomes, no Joe Burrow. His path to the NFL has never been so clear. And when it comes down to the marrow of it, it becomes Josh Allen and him leading his team into the AFC championship.

I like Josh Allen. I like the Superman Keep he puts on. The question will remain until these playoffs are over until the bills lose. How long can he do this for? but the way he's operating right now, Dave Davis gets hurt, they don't flinch, clear Shakir,

you already burn up, 12 receptions for 82 yards. Like, they are really operating at a high level right now with not a lot of resources around them other than that quarterback and his ability to make something out of nothing. And for that reason,

I will be taking the Buffalo Bills. That only scares me because they're going against better DBs. Yes, a buddy had 12 catches against a Jacksonville riddle backfield. Now he's going against, what, Soutan, Patrick, Surtan, Riley, Morris.

Hey, let me, defense is for real. For real. You watch the game, like, the Jacksonville Jaguars, like, how they were in the run game. Yeah, there wasn't slops. They were not, like, we were winning the line of scrimmage. Every time a receiver caught the ball, there was zero room for yak. It was, like, tackled immediately. Anytime there was open space, the first guy took him down.

Like, there were so many things you watched that you're like, man, the bills have to earn every single yard in this game. And they end up just wearing them down at the end. And I think this rest, and I'm solely talking about the quarterback. And I would love for Bowdo Nix to prove me wrong. Future friend of the show is amazing professionalism. He's going to have a long career. But when you're this young, you get the buy. There's a lot more pressure that comes with that.

And sometimes even being at home, when you feel the pressure of that fan base and how great that fan base is, it can hurt you a little bit. And when you have Josh Allen on the other side, and I'm picking out who's going to out dual who. I'm going to lean on Josh Allen for those reasons. Exactly. I love what you said. I feel what you're saying, too. A bye week, I just, I don't, I don't like the buy week. I feel like you plan through the playoffs gives you a better momentum.

Depends on health, right? If your team is relatively healthy, that's awesome. That's awesome. Yeah. I feel like they haven't been able. They probably sat back and weren't able to get too comfortable based on their last final two performances in the season against the Chiefs and the Chargers because they didn't like look that great. They won the games, but they didn't look great toward when you're chilling on the buy week.

You got a little bit more urgency because you know you haven't put your best your best tape on film in a few weeks. I think it's going to come down to this pass rush, getting pressure on Josh Allen, and then also is Denver going to be able to run the football? Because if they can run the football, they can control the game a little bit more. Bo Nix won't be out there having to force anything.

Because if he gets in a spot to where he's going to have to force the issue, I can see that's where it's like Josh Allen, throwing the cape on and everything else. But for Buffalo to have to go out in the altitude in Denver, I just think defensively, the defense is for real with the Denver Broncos. it's going to be tough for Josh. When you look at previous games throughout the season, you look at how Josh was against the Houston Texans, how Josh was against the Falcons, when they were able to get after him and pressure him a little bit. The only if part of it is,

if that cape is on, Josh can get out of pressure and make place happen. I just think against this Denver secondary, it's going to be a hard thing to do. I'm taking the Broncos in this game. And to argue my point, we've seen the bills when Josh Allen is under pressure when he was against Houston, sacked seven times. And like pressured countless of times. Like when that stuff happens, you see the results of those games that happen. Still. Actually, what I'm going to do is I'm going to take the under 54.5. I'm going to take the under 54 and a half.

I like the Broncos in this game for everybody watching. Before my pick on the show, I'm going to go under 54.5. You got to parlay that with the other three. So, you know, one of them loses. It's all in four. You don't know how it works. So basically, I'll just write on all your bets. If you'd like.

Okay. I'll do that. Okay. I'm just going to, I mean, to me, that's a very good bet. But there's three. We're talking about just a one for one. I'm not going to fall back. You know what?

Under 62 and a half. I get one of these games and you guys lose one. And then I'm sitting at one and one and three and you guys are 0 and four. So I guess it's even out a little bit. I'm still going to take the bills. They don't do it like that, Clay. I'm just saying, hey, remember when I had mine,

they're like, if you lose one, you're out. No, they were joking. Listen, I wasn't going to do that. I wasn't even going to think to bring that up. But now that you brought it up, deal. No. I was thinking it was. It's just the pick for the game.

But I don't think that zone coverage, that weak soft coverage is going to beat the bears.

I think Ben Johnson is going to find a way to score points as he has all year. Defensively, I just think this is going to be a shootout here. But I like Stafford, despite his finger injury. The thing about the Bears that we've said all year is defense is okay, more of an opportunistic defense. Offense is okay, Caleb Williams makes him incredible throws. So what that tells me is momentum is a key factor in this team. That is the foundation of the Chicago Bears. Love momentum, love the idea of momentum.

Greg Olsen hates the idea of momentum. However, I think when you look at momentum from a foundational standpoint, that foundation cracks very easily. I think the Rams are a more complete team. They have the ability to run the ball out of 11 and 13 personnel really well while also disguising the past quite a bit in there with their play actions. And then you got those two receivers on the outside. I think the Rams are going to take this game.

We feel like there's going to be a little washing, maybe a little rust in the tires because he is so young. I think the same thing took place with the Chargers in Drake May. When you watch that game unfold in their two minute before the half, there's about 34 seconds left on the clock.

He's looking so far down the field with great protection. He has a checkdown right there with nobody around to where they have multiple timeouts. He can easily check that down, get the ball down to the four or five yard. line and possibly score a touchdown they end up taking three another instance Austin Hooper the backup tight end used to be a Tennessee Titan he hits the linebacker in man coverage on a post route guy is wide open Drake May who's been so great with the deep ball all year misses that throw in a way that it was it was completely uncatchable can't have the miss you get late you get later into that game hunter

Henry hits the same very similar post route around the same yard of the yard line and he nails him nails him right there that was more of his own coverage as opposed to the manned crime with Austin Hooper. However, he dots him right where he needs to go. They go up quite a bit. Clearly shaky with the ball security. The team itself was like they are in uncharted waters, even though the logo we've seen in the Super Bowl so many times,

this team as young as they are, where it was very difficult for him to keep going. Milton, Chasin, Chasing? Yeah, Caleb and Chasin. Both guys recorded two sacks in this game. They make their hay off of three-man pressures. You overload, one side. with three o three alignment, and then you get the defense end

and the other one, and then you run some sort of exotic game with that. They're getting a lot of pressure up the middle with those defensive ends wrapping back around because they do a great job at pick games, something that Mike Brable pretty quite a bit when he's with Tennessee Titans. When we get into this game,

I think the Texans defense is absolutely terrifying. And at any point, they could just stop the Patriots in their tracks and completely shut down to a point where Patriots might not cross a 50 for a full quarter. That's how good this defense is and how much they can swarm Drake May. What I love it is,

about Drake May's game is this. He knows, the snap of the ball, he knows exactly what the coverage is. He knows where his reeds are, and he's very quick to decide, is this the correct throw, or do I need to use my legs to get me out of it? With these two guys coming off the edge, there's going to be a lot of opportunity to find holes, A, B, C gap to get out and use his legs like he did. Because I know this is kind of a crazy stat because Tom Brady was there for 20 years, but in his first playoff game, he's the first Patriot to ever record over 250 yards passing. over 50 yards rushing. So as bad as he plays, statistically, he still had what is a record-setting day for the Patriots.

I think they get a lot cleaner. They get a lot crisper. And I look at the Texans offense. And they're not showing me a whole lot that I can hang my hat and be like, they're going to be able to keep up. The Patriots can play their game. So I'll be taking the Patriots. I like the Patriots in this game.

This is the true classic game with the San Francisco 49ers brought Pertie versus Sam Darlene the Seattle. Seahawks is the third time this season that they have played against each other. Seahawks are favorite at minus. seven total in that game is 44 and a half. Swift the Band-Aid off. Clay.

This is, this is obvious, yeah? Under 58-5. It's obvious, C-A-Ox money line. I mean, you would think it's obvious, right? Minus 3.50. No, I'm sticking, I already put the money down. So I couldn't let you and set me when I come on the show. Clay, real quick, real quick, real quick.

Isn't that simple? Because they were losing a lot of guys in week one, they had a lot of injuries in training camp because the whole situation taking place. I can't believe you made it out of their life. But they lost in Seattle lost in Seattle week one against the 49ers and they were more hurt or as hurt as they are now.

Hey, there's one, here's why it's not so, way healthy. Here's why it's not so simple. Cut and dry as money line. You look at the 49ers. The other three teams in the NFC. Seattle, the Bears, and the Rams. What team has beaten those three teams this year? Seattle.

The 49ers. Hey, you're right. Seattle has beating themselves up once. The 49ers have. So I don't think it says cut and dry. We watched the last game in which they played week 17 for the number one seed. It was a close game if you looked at the final score. I think it was 13 to 3.

But when you broke it down, I mean, that Seattle defense absolutely handled. Pardy, McCaffrey, 173 total yards. Charbonnet and Walker had combined for over 230 yards of total offense. The only consistent thing, the only consistent for the 49ers has been Christian McCaffrey and now that Brock Purdy comes back, I think they have a chance. I wouldn't be surprised either way, especially when you have a divisional opponent. It's always closer than it is. You guys know each other so well.

Shanahan, McDonald, I don't care where they're playing. I know it's going to be a tough environment coming off a bye week, but I mean, let's just address the elephant in the room here. Sam Donald, you know what I mean? USC quarterback and Caleb Williams for that matter. But I just, I want to see him take the next step of, I believe in that week. So you're saying elephant in the room, it's Sam Donald that would lose this game for Seattle. I could see a universe where Brock Purdy wins the game for them, but there might be a few

Their offense is scoring the second most points per game and their defense is holding teams in the second least points per game right now. Complete team all around, extremely healthy. They have a great mix of four-man rushes,

but also bringing exotic games and twists and also blitzes to get to the quarterback on a consistent basis. And I look at the 49ers, man. And I'm absolutely gutted for our boy George Kittle. Like from a purity standpoint of loving football, there's not another individual I've ever met that the age he's at that still loves the game

the way a Pop Warner kid when he suits up every single day loves the game. And for that, it breaks my heart. I know Trent Williams is playing in that 70% range. The idea of Fred Warner, who has his opening to be able to come back into the playoffs, if it's the NFC championship of the Super Bowl after having the dislocated ankle early in the season. That is all an incredible storyline to me. A couple with Brock Purdy, there's he gets hurt. Mac Jones comes in the game.

He starts balling out. The question starts is when Brock Purdy is healthy. Do you keep Mac Jones in? And it's like, Brock Pretty comes back in. He's now like whipping out that five-game stretch of he's scoring the most points for game out of any other team in the NFL. I think it was like 35, like 32.5. But when it comes down to complete defense, running the football, able to get pressure,

But just overall, that team, how they put every piece together

offensively and defensively, he's just not in a spot to where he's got to force the issue. Just be what you've been all year. Because early in the year with Walker and Charbonnet, it's like they go east and west and they're like searching in the backfield for the hole. And they've like now are consistently running downhill and seeing a gap and hitting it and falling forward,

creating themselves in more manageable positions. And it just clearly opened up their offense in a way like, okay, we're multidimensional now the way we're able to run. JSN is just a monster. They're running out. Barn him the tight end. Who they brought in. I'm blanking on his name.
