Just in to Crime Alert, the federal jury find Sean Diddy Combs guilty on two counts, but
not guilty on three others, including racketeering.
Combs was found guilty of transporting former girlfriends Cassandra Ventura and the anonymous
woman identified as Jane across state lines to engage in prostitution, those violations
of the MAN Act.
He was acquitted of sex trafficking charges related to both women.
He was also found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy, which could have led to a life
sentence.
As the verdict was read, Combs nodded.
He said thank you to one of the jurors.
He made a prayer hands gesture, looking toward the jury.
Fifty-five-year-old Combs has been held without bail in Brooklyn since his arrest last September.
He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Over three days, the jury spent just over 13 hours weighing the evidence.
During trial, they heard from 34 witnesses.
Some were male escorts who said Combs paid them to take part in drug-fueled sex parties
he called freak-offs.
Other witnesses described threats and abuse at the hands of Combs.
Prosecutors claimed he ran a long-term criminal operation
and used his fame to lure, trap, and silence victims.
He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison
for the two-man act convictions.
