Will the US and Ukraine Break Up? | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
00:09Good morning. It's Thursday, October 15, 2026. This is the program with Ted Rall and Jamarlem Thomas.Good morning, Jamarle. Nice to see you. We have a lot this morning. We'll tell you what we have in the hopper. Then we can start getting to it and we'll do some housekeeping.Zelensky and Trump appear to be headed towards a possible breakup. We'll get into the details there. Also, there's controversy over Elon Musk and his Starlink Starshield service, as it pertains to Ukraine.Republicans say that their best chance for winning the midterms is that all the polls are wrong.Got a laugh there.Okay, Harris County, that's in Texas, is looking at possibly charging an ice officer who deliberately ran over a victim.
01:07of that they were tracking, potentially constituting aggravated assault. The videos online if you want to go check it out.We can maybe show it here too.Iran has struck and sent two large ships down to the bottomof the Strait of Hormuz. That's one of the most violent actions that's happenedsince the in the strait since the war began. And Representative Ilhan Omar,
01:35the jihad against her from the Trump administration, continues with more than a dozen grand jury subpoenas filed against her and her relatives, and they've also seized her phone in conjunction with possible immigration fraud.Bear in mind, she's running for re-election in just three weeks is when she's going to beat the polls there. So basically what you're saying is that while I've been gone, I haven't missed anything.Well, that's always how it is.When I travel, I always think, like, I'm going to come home.
02:07and there's going to be all sorts of exciting things.I have such FOMO.And, you know, nothing really happens. You know, there's a few bills. Some people have reached out, but really nothing happens. There's never a reason not to travel.Okay, well, what happened with Omar?Because, like, I've been off the grinned.
02:24Nothing happened with her.Like, meaning she's, Donald Trump is just going after her.Nothing happened with her.Like, meaning she didn't do anything. But for my brother or what? That didn't happen. She did not marry her brother. That's been debunked.
02:41It's not true.Yeah.They were trying to say that there's some kind of immigration paperwork that took place with her dad.And it's like, how do you plan to finding that by raiding her house?Yeah.Like you could have sent her a letter.Hey, please come to the immigration office. This stuff is not necessary.
02:58I mean, they do know where to find her.Right in Washington. She's literally a city congresswoman.Right.She has an office and everything. They know exactly where to find her. It's interesting. So basically they're trying, what the claim seems to be is that her father lied about either his age, his wife's age, or Ilhan's age on the application forms when they arrived in the United States.
03:25And basically maybe there's some way based on that to deport Ilhan Omar, which is, you know, ridiculous. It also violates this rule that the Department of Justice usually enforces about not charging any kind of political candidate, you know, 60 days or less before an election. So, you know, it's obviously very political and disgusting, really.Yesterday, we were on there being kizzy, we were trying to come home from Glacier National Park.Of course, Trump is here in Calisville. And if he's here in Montana, trying to prop up Aaron Flynn, the Republicans know that, you know that.they are in deep do-do if he has to be here of all places.Aaron Flynn is who? He, so Ryan Zinke's not running for re-election. So he's stepping
04:14down Congress or Senate or Congress? So he's our congressman and uh how manycongressmen does Montana have? Oh, we have two now because our population is,has broken a million. So we have two people and uh, so Aaron Flint is like thehand-picked successor for the douchebag and I see in that Paul just saw the douchebags out therebecause it's really disservice to them of Ryan Zinky and and the guy who gets him is a is a Democratname is forcath I'm actually going to I probably actually end up voting for him he's a he's afirefighter out here he's a smoke jumper and he just kind of caught fire pardon the pun and heIt looks like that he very well, he may very well win in a very deep red district because
05:05people here are just sick and tired of all the crap.Yep.And that's what I hope he does.I want to point out, I predicted this long before, like the media and everything got behindit, I kept saying, Republicans are going to lose. They're going to lose.By the way, Texas also, Telerica seems to be winning in Texas.I mean, he's a funny dude, right?
05:29I mean, it's for Texas.I mean, I'm at, you know, like I kind of understood, what was her name? The governor of Texas, that lady.Oh, my God.She was a woman governor, Texas. This is like, I'm getting old.Anne Richards, right? She was governor from 1991 to 1995.
05:52And she had, you know, she like rode a motorcycle to the state house. She was, you know, kind of like a badass, brassy, tech. And you're like, okay, well, if there's going to be a woman governor of Texas, and she actuallywasn't the first one, the first one was back in the 20s, Miriam Ferguson. But, you know, it's kind of like if they're going to have a Democrat, they're going to havesomeone, you know, she's going to be really Texas. This, you know, she, this, you know, Tala Rico is just, you know, he doesn't seem reallywhat I think of as a Texan.
06:24But what do I know? It's a big state.I know it's got diversity of all kinds. But still, it's kind of like he's kind of like a Mormon. He's like a pipsqueak, like all super like clean cut and not like particularly butch. And Trump's been kind of implying that he's gay, even though there's no evidence for that to support that.Well, he's been implying he's a vegan also.
06:46Right, right, which in Texas is worse than being gay.Like you can suck sausage, but you know, you better eat it too.You better be willing to eat it.Yeah.Yeah.I mean, he's been making it like he's less than a man or something like that, like, becauseTexas, right?Don't mess with the Texas.
07:02Stupid.But look at this guy who's emasculent, you know, that type of thing.I don't think it has anything to do about it being, well, for one, I don't think thathelps the candidate that Donald Trump is there stomping for him. There's that because it ties the two together.Right.Two, I don't think it, I don't think it's about Teller Rico.I think it's the fact that he's a Democrat and he's just not a Republican.
07:22It's about Paxton, right?Yeah.Paxton's a terrible candidate.I'm, I was really surprised at the Republic.nominated him.Well, he's a Trump guy, which is the problem for Paxton.Right. But it's also, Paxton's a terrible candidate. I mean, there's all sorts. He was really deeply damaged to begin with, right? I mean, infidelity, corruption. I mean,
07:43he's not awesome. Yeah. So he is, Donald Trump is doing him no favors by stumping for him.No. He's just not. And I watched a video of Trump recently. And he's like just enjoying the stumps.he's enjoying it and it's like dude you're killing your party yeah no it's it's amazing it'samazing to behold so probably that's where we should start right so um Politico has a piece umand axios also today saying that basically at this point republicans now admit privately that thehouse of representatives is lost um they're sort of making their peace with possibly losing the senateas well although that's gonna definitely be tight um it'll be tight andAnd basically they're saying that maybe the polls are wrong.
08:34Polls have certainly been wrong before. That can happen. But once you find yourself-In one direction.Like, you have to explain how like five different pollsfrom five different polling agencies end up like with the same numbers.Yeah.Well, you're kind of hoping.
08:53You're kind of hope, I mean, once you find yourself hoping for an act of God,you know it's it's like uh you know like you know maybe my mom won't notice the d on my purportcard and she'll be squinting and it'll look like a bee um you know maybe the principalwill forget to call my mom and tell her about the incident at school you know anything couldhappen before he can move the piece the checkmate me like if the guy diesit moves before me then i win the gameIt's like, oh, if you have to do that, something is wrong.I mean, they understand that this is like a live by the Trump,
09:37die by the Trump.Because as I pointed out today, right?Like, Trump is out there giving some speeches.Like, this is just, you know, a regular day where he's doing this,he's hamming it up, the crowd is screaming at him and adoration, and he loves it.That's the fact that this is not like a normal campaign where your crowd size is indicative of how you're going to perform. This is a small amount of people who still are on the Trump train with the majority of the people are just not.And so it's like you got in office based on the strength of Donald Trump.
10:08And Donald Trump was even able to use the fact of the matter that he had that many people that were backing him to go after served Republicans. What's his name?Massey being a good example.Or for that matter, Madreux Taylor Green, getting out of politics altogether. That was because of the power of Trump. What about now?what about now right like they're going to effectively die at the hand um that got them in officein the first place yeah yeah they are uh good because that's been more than a cult of personality
10:39i mean if you if you're going to run on something specifically increasing wages decreasing the costof living or at least at least bringing the two into parity and then you go start wars foron behalf of a foreign nation and then economically your people paythe price for it.I mean, eventually,Americans might not really understandwhat happens across the street, much lessacross the world, but they do understand
11:04whenever things impact them economically. And instinctively, people know what's wrong. And so that's what'sthat's the issue here isyou said you're going to put America first. You said that we were going to be winning so muchand we're going to be crying to stop.People are crying, but it's not because of all the winning.
11:20It's because you're a buffoon. And by the way, that argument isdead on because Donald Trump when he was giving his thumb speech he was like we beat around to deaththeir you know their inflation their economy is failing um their military is busted and blah blah blahokay boy their ships sinking to the bottom of of the straight of promos one was a tanker shipthe other one was a cargo ship where you can see all this stuff just like literally fall into thebottom so they actually sunk two ships then while i was gone yeah they did but they've beenfiring at ships all they're firing at them yeah i know they're shooting at them
11:51well here's the thing trump seems to go with the argument thatthat, hey, I understand you're in pain, but they're in more pain. And again, these rugged individualist Americansthat don't really give a shit about what's happening abroad,it's not gonna care about that.He seems to go with this argumentor have this belief that if I can inflict pain
12:09on somebody else, then the pain that you're experiencingis less than the pain that we're afflicting on them,as if the American public cares. They don't accept your premise for the war.And so because they don't accept your premise of the war,it doesn't matter the pain you're inflicting on somebody else.We are in pain. Our diesel is through the roof. Our inflation is going through the roof. That's what we care about. His argument doesn't work.No. I mean, the thing is, it's, there's nothing new in this respect, right? I mean, like, we might be living in a different world from AI and a million other things. But, you know, it's a fundamental truth about American politics is economic matters always dictate the outcome. It's always the number one thing on people's minds, unless things happen to be going relatively.
12:55relatively well. And that's not the case now. It's not usually the case, actually. The Americaneconomy is not really that great for most Americans most of the time. And this is a particularlybad time. And so, you know, if you're looking for a job or you're hoping for a raise or,you know, God help you. And, you know, even if you already have a job, God help you in yourability to afford to, you know, to buy groceries and gas and all and so on. So, you know, everything's going up. I don't know. I mean, it's crazy. And let's see. We have some comments.Okay. PLB Walker says the more people say Democrats are going to win, the more individual Democrats will think they won't have to show up to vote. And also, remember, the polling companies are paid by political parties. Some of them are.
13:47It's always nice when they return results that support the current trench of political operatives running their respective parties.Yeah, but they also have internal polling, right?Which is like basically what they really rely upon. There's the public polling. And nowadays, there's a bunch of bullshit polls that you can't really pay attention to.Like if you've never heard of it, the odds are there's a reason that you should just ignore it.But that is, I mean, look, Republicans are going to lose the house. No question about it.
14:17I just don't know if it's going to be historic, like 1982 or 1974 or just substantial. But it's not going to be less than substantial, that's for sure.I would make a prediction. It would be historic.I think so, too. It's just so, he's, like, I'm never seen, like, polling that had, like, 80% of the American public against the president on the economy.Like, or he's 80 points underwater, meaning, first.from when he got in office and this kind of, you know, this belief that he was much betterthan the Democratic Party, in which case he had like a 30 point lead, you don't come out of hers,
14:57to now it's like an 80 point difference. And the polling people were like, we've never seenanything like it. And can you really blame them? When you look at the price of gas and diesel, when is the last time? I've never seen gas at 432. I've never seen it. And yet here in Virginiain Richmond, who doesn't necessarily have all that more expensive gas, we have a lot more expensive gas, we have ait was like 432. It even hit like 450. You could say the Putin price hike for Joe Biden, this is obviously worse, which means that everybody pays it. Everybody, it hits every last person. And because it hits every last person. Even if you bike every day, it hits you because you'rebuying stuff that's transported by fuel, right? Exactly. And so it's like, is it shocking to see polling
15:40that says the public is pissed off at Trump because of it? No, it's not shocking. It makes all the sense ofworld. I'm more confused by the 20%. I'm agreed with that. I'm also confused by the fact that Trumpdoesn't even attempt to talk this down a little bit. I mean, he doesn't even, you know, when you tellpeople, hey, the economy is great, I heard him say that yesterday at a rally. The economy is doinggreat. Okay, that's televised. People hear that. If I were the Democrats, I would just be playingTrump saying that over and over and attack odds. You know, don't, when it's bad enough to be,you know, to be feeling the pain. It's worse when the president of the United States is,you know, denying that your pain even exists. I mean, Americans are rugged individualists.
16:30It's right. We, we tend to personalize, internalize our, you know, we lose our job. We just roll upour sleeves and try to find another one. We don't kind of look to the government to go outin protest and say you should be providing us with more jobs.We just try to take care of it ourselves. But it does go a bridge too far for Americans. When Biden did the same thing, like, oh, you guys, you know, you don't see the numbers thatwe see.You guys don't really know what you're talking about.
16:56We're looking at different metrics.Like, no, don't tell me when I, you know, my credit card isn't screaming in pain, you know, when it is.And like, yeah, it's, I mean, that's the part that's crazy to me is that he can't evensay, you know, like, guys, I get it. It's a little rough, but it's worth it and it's only temporary. And I promise you it's going to get better. And I'm working on it. I'm working on it night and day.He doesn't say that because he doesn't have, not only does he not have empathy.I mean, he just doesn't. It's not in his, it's not in, there's no empathy in his, in his personality.
17:32But on top of that, he doesn't even know how to act and pretend as though he had empathy.I mean, I don't think Bill Clinton cared about us either, but he knew how to pretend that he felt our pain.He could reject it. Yeah. No, I accept that. Yeah, agree. He's obviously unempathetic. The only modification I would make to that is he does, you're right, he doesn't have this with this, so it doesn't come across well. But he does make this argument of like, well, the war would be over with after the election.Yeah, the problem is he's been telling us that, you know, he's been saying that since the beginning of the war.He said that it was won after the first weekend, right?I mean, there's a classic editorial cartoon from the Vietnam War by Mike Peters,
18:17where it's Richard Nixon. He kept saying about the Vietnam War, the end is right around the corner. And so it's a visual pun, right? And you see him just going around the corner and around the corner and around the corner, and he's right back where he started.Right? It's like, the end is right around the corner. And that's, you know, I mean, we've heard that too many times.
18:39He believes a word that he has to say because he said the same thing over and over with no grounds to.I mean, it's like it's like the Ukraine thing that he was going to end on day one, right?I can end it in 24 hours. Here we are, right? We're going to be talking about that.Yeah.It's not ending anytime soon.Trump has no exit.
18:58And Reuters is reporting that Donald Trump is talking about war plans, this idea of attacks on Iran and what they could hit the energy grids and those type of things. And, you know, this was reported before, too.right, where the Trump administration was thinking about attacking, but he kept backing away from the attacks. There is no military solution, which is the issue.Well, I mean, there's a military solution. It just favors Iran.I mean, it's like they have a military solution. They've already achieved their military solution. To be honest, it doesn't really favor Iran because Iran never wanted a war, right?Like, they don't want their infrastructure blown up. They know what their ore refining.
19:38They just want to be able to sell their oil refining them. They just want to be able to sell theiroil and do their business like any other country. That's all they want. And so it's like, does it favor Iran? It doesn't favor them, but it destroys the world. It really is the world's economy, meaning Trump could do that, but that's not really a militarysolution. That is you hitting targets and then you're going to have to deal with the fact thatIran is going to respond and their response is going to be commiserate with your attack, which can be withering to all of us. So I don't know, I agree with you. He doesn't haveempathy. He doesn't even have to know how to pretend. If I was a Democrat, especially in Montana, I'd be running in that clip over and over again about Donald Trump talking about Argentine farmers. So what we got about Argentine beef, fuck American farmers. I would be showing ads about fertilized on 70, 80%. I would be showing all this. Because all of it is true. They are. There are a bunch of grassroots groups. And what I mean by grassroots, I mean, you know, organizations not being funded by some pack out of D.C. Yeah.
20:39And I mean, when we were coming home, so basically if you're coming home from Glacier Park, you go down what's called Highway 2.And it's a long ill.I live like 35 miles away from the park. And there's lots of ranches on either side. You go through Columbia Falls.Columbia Falls is a little town. Its major economy used to be an aluminum plant.
20:58The plant's gone.It was outsourced to China. So the town is decimated. And there are people on either side, because if you're going to Trump's reality, you've got to go on this road. There's only, there's only two major highways.where I am.Andthe holding up signs
21:14showingwith sayingTrump cares moreabout Argentinaand it does about you.Really?Yeah.These are just normal people.
21:24These are just normal folks. How they're just wearing flannelsjust stand out there in 30 degree temperature. It's just people are pissed. And the fact that the RNC has got to deployboth of our senators,Tim Shehee and,and Steve Daines and the president to come campaign for Aaron Flint, who is a complete buffoon
21:46in deep red Montana. So is he going to lose?Who's going to win here?Do you think?I'm hoping.I have no idea. And I really don't know of voting for the firefighters and make any difference.I know that polling in Montana is thin on the ground.
22:02I looked into that. There's not a lot of reliable polling. It must be very hard to poll. It's very hard to poll there.it's so sparsely populated. Also, people here don't understand why Trump's picking a fight with Canada.Because that's right. The Canadians coming down is a big part of the economy here. They're coming down here to shop because it's cheaper to shop here in the U.S. and isn't in Canada.
22:25No one on the border understands why we picked a fight with Canada.I mean, no American can possibly explain, no defender of Donald Trump can possibly explain to me.Donald Trump cannot explain to me why he picked a fight with Canada.I mean, the man is insane.I mean, I don't think there's any other way.By the way, I was thinking that he needs a, you know,in the same way that the Republicans are kind of hoping that like the dog will eat their homework or something on the polling, what they need is for the Strait of Hormuz to detach itself and float away from Iran and go thousands of miles away.
23:04Then the U.S. has a chance to win this war.But until the street, as long as the street of Hormuz is pretty much where it is now or within a few hundred miles, they're fucked.Yeah. Yeah. Agreed. You know, little continental drift. You know, they need that to rock.A lot of continental drift. A lot of continental drugs. I mean, we should not be going thousands of miles to pick flights. This is necessary. I think Trump is necessary.Like Carl, I think it's my president.I think he's great.
23:41I mean, I said this in 2017.I was like, American foreign policy is rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, right?I mean, and so is Donald Trump. And I thought he was seriously, it was great to have truth in advertising after eight years of the very civilized, calm, smooth, preposorial Barack Obama, who put up such a beautiful face.on such an ugly system. It's like now we have a nasty president to, you know, just to prop up the nasty empire and its nasty deeds.
24:15I'm with you.You and I both don't like bullshit. It's like the veneer is gone.Yeah, it's very honest. And by the way, for the Democrats, who think that this mega phenomenon is new too, like, no, no, no.That strain in politics has always been with us,and it always will be, you know, like the,
24:35the John Birch Society, you know, the Tea Party, you name it, whatever. It's just cynical. But I mean, and let's be honest, though, those things were harnessed, not used in earnest.Like, Donald Trump didn't maga, let's say in its rawest form, this idea of America First. It's not what he did. This wasn't America First. This was something else.Like, American First Foreign Policy would just look differently.
25:05And weirdly enough, would be supported by many Democrats.Even though they would necessarily support a Republican doing it, it would be supported byDemocrats.Like, meaning if you say, look, we're pulling out of the war in Ukraine because, you know,we should be in this fight. This was Joe Biden's war.And he did this on day one.He would have gotten credit from that, even from many of people on the left, who
25:26was against the war, right? If Donald Trump said, look, we're not fighting Israel's wars, just not having a warin and of itself focusing on the American economy those things depending upon how we went about it becauseDonald Trump is incompetent so there's that those things would have been valued as an actualAmerica first that's not what sure what Trump did no it's just not what he did he did the oppositeof those things so you know it's like you may harness the tea party you may harness maga you mayharness these things but it's not like they're used in earnest once the president it's an officebut you can correct me on this you know this better than I do
26:03Yeah, no. I don't have anything to say that. You're right. It's it's totally. Yeah, totally.By the way, they do say things to Democrats, like Occupy Wall Street being harnessed by Obama.Well, Obama starts using the 1% in his speeches, despite the fact he's being paid by Citigroup.Like, they harness the stuff. They don't. Yeah, they do.In earnest. No, I mean, yeah. I mean, I will say this again. I've said it before. I'm sure I'll say it again. And it's like we think we're raised as kids to believe that basically you have a political systemwhere we elect politicians who then try to determine a way to identify the top problems of the country,
26:51you know, present and future, and try to come up with solutions to them and then debate themand that there's different ways to skin a cat and that they debate that in Congress.and then ultimately what comes out of this system is something that is an attempt to solve our problems. That's just not true. That's just not the system. And I think if the American people realize that they're being played over and over and over by that it's a grift, that neither party gives a shit about them. It's a money-making operation. You know, I don't even think it's fair to say that it's corrupt because corruption implies that it's not, that it's kind of like if it wasn't being right yeah sorry that this out the boundary
27:41corruption implies that something is out of bounds when this is not exactly that the machine isn'tworking the way it's supposed to right it's like no no no this machine is working exactly the wayit's supposed to let me let me tell you this this is wild because the last the whole reasonI'm even here is so last night we went to church this Wednesday night I'm one of thoseBible thumpers, as you all know. And Kizzy, she had to serve in the kids class. So I saw her back.Well, one of our, one of the people who go to our church was wearing it was wearing a t-shirt.And this is wild. I go to a small independent fundamentalist, Zionist church. That's what we got here. And this guy was wearing a shirt that says,
28:24Satan is a liar. Or no, it says the devil is a liar. That's what I said. And someone looked at him and said, oh, are you going to go see Trump after church?I mean, think about what I just said.Well, maybe the devil is a liar, but maybe the liar isn't always the devil, right?Yeah, that's funny.Well, I just, I mean, the fact of that comment would even be made shows just how deep this, this anger has gotten. It's crazy. When Kamala Harris was running, and I remember I was at the pharmacist.
29:00quote-unquote, as they call them in D.C.I was at the pharmacist, and one of the people that was in a pharmacist bought up the race. They were like just talking offhand in a woman, African-American woman. She was like, I don't think I can vote for hers. She's supporting a genocide.I can't support somebody who's supporting a genocide. And I was like, oh, she's screwed. If you can't get the black community in D.C.
29:21And you got people who are ambivalent about voting for you that are African-Americans,this is the bread and butter of the Democratic Party. And this random person is having a random conversation.parents with central casting.Yeah.You know, I'm saying like there are things that are indicative of,kind of like Hillary Clinton.I remember when I was working in the software shop.
29:44And it was noted that somebody was dispatched from the Clinton campaign to go to Wisconsinon the day of the election.I was like, she's fucked. If you're not going to win Wisconsin and you had that concern about Wisconsin or the day of the election,A, you're going to lose it.And she did.In fact, she lost all of those.Upper states.
30:01You remember my Wisconsin story, though, right?I was friends with a person who was pretty high-ranked in the Clinton campaign. And so he said that she had a remarkable phenomenon, which was that they had tracking pollsin the counties before and after she appeared. She was the only candidate that he was aware of or that any other campaign experts wereaware of in modern history, who when she appeared somewhere in public, her tracking.polls in that area would drop.Wow.
30:33Like everyone else is just grateful, like, you know, I'm sure in Calispell, Trump's trackingpolls did not drop.I don't know if they went up, but they don't, you know, normally people are justhappy that, you know, a presidential candidate or the president got on a plane and came totheir town and talked to them. They appreciate that. But in Hillary's case, to know, no, no, know her is to hate, hate her.And that's how it was, right?
31:02I mean, she was, you know, it's kind of like when it comes to Hillary, less is more. That's why it's not like, you know, the official story is, oh, they were incompetent. They forgot to send her to Wisconsin because nobody paid attention. No, that's not what happened at all. They were totally competent. They knew exactly that Wisconsin was in play. They didn't, that's why they didn't send her. They were scared to send her because they thought it would fuck up Wisconsin even more,
31:29which, you know, in a way, is they'd rather be perceived as incompetent than for their candidate to be perceived as toxic, which she was.Yeah, which she was. Yep. Yep.I mean, I don't think Kamala was toxic. I think she was just a derp. You know, she was worth us.I was only using it to give across how, like, small events can foretell larger disaster. And the fact that the guy was making that comment at Church with Robbie, I think, be special.indicates disaster.Oh, yeah, no.
32:03When you've lost, when Republican Party has to fight for Montana, forget it.Yeah, something's wrong.Game over, man!Like Bill Paxton and aliens. All right. So, Iran, obviously, totally in control
32:19of the Strait of Hormuz.Energy analysts are now sayingthey're really expecting another big spike in oil pricesthat, like, now basically, all of the tricks that Trump, the Trump administration and the oil companies have been using to keep prices down, releasing reserves and all that, that they're out of, they're out of cards now. There's no more jokers to pull out of the deck. And we're going to start to see, you know, real serious, like right now, national average is like close to $5 a gallon. You know, the sky's the limit now. I mean, they're going to have to start thinking about four-digit gas pumps.Good. It's necessary.Look, it's not...It'll get our attention.
33:07Maybe we won't do this shit anymore.I doubt it.Like, there should be consequences for bad behavior in this case.Like, the idea that we can go to other countries and kill people, it's just outrageous. But Donald Trump's going to walk away with billions of dollars.Yeah, and that we don't care about it is amazing. And now you have to...And there's no protests.
33:26And there's no left.I mean, I have this conversation all the time where people are like,oh, like, we do protest, we go out to, I went to a no-kings rally.I swear to God, people actually say that to me on my Facebook page.I'm like, okay, that's not what I mean.I mean, like, what the students are doing in France. In Europe. That's protesting.
33:47That's actual.Belgium, France, etc.Belgium.That's protests.Like, yeah.It didn't be the protests were taking place in Belgium. It was like they were just like tearing shit down. It's every day.
33:58Things are on fire.Yeah, like schools are closed.Businesses are closed. There's solidarity, not just among the aggrieved parties, but other groups that seem like they're unrelated, like the police union. You know, there's solidarity. That's a protest movement.
34:16Are they still going on to their jobs?Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.It will happen, by the way, when the oil price.Because what's going to happen is, and people may not realize this, when the oil price goes up to a certain amount, companies start to dissolve.because they can't necessarily afford to operate. Same thing in Germany, right? Well, all of the companies, the AFD leader in Germany was given the speech effectively saying merits is at 10%
34:36companies are going belly up and are leaving the country. And she's right. And I'm saying, and the reason is because of the price point for energy in Europe fundamentally and radically changedthe moment that Nord Stream blew up and the war started and they started cutting off energyin their usage. In which case, okay, well, this. And by the way, that has a direct resultbetween with what's going on in france and belgium and so on right yes because it's like theythey had to impose austerity because their economy is in trouble and they can't they can't maintaintheir schools are the protests in france still going on this i've been off of the offoffline every single day it's almost a month now yeah they've been going on for a while
35:14have they spread to other european countries seven days a week 24 seven so who else who elseprotested now france belgium spain uh there was somewhere else i was spanishI'm pissed off because that landlord killed that little old lady by being a greedy bastard. And they're right to be pissed off.100%.But that's Ted's point about solidarity.Like, we look at ourselves as rugged individualists, which inhibits any notion of solidarity. And I would argue that part and parcel to the reason why there aren't protests like that in the States, because anything happens to us, we look at it as individual as opposed to, like, many, we would have saw that woman get evicted and it's like, oh, that sucks for her.
35:51And we would have went on and, you know.I mean, look, there's no question.there's an strong individualistic component in the human personality. But there's also a communitarian impulse. And in this country, you see it expressed, for example, by the people who say,oh, I would want socialized medicine, or I would consider voting for the DSA.Even though that stuff is like soft and squishy and it's not communist the way I would like, you can see the impulse.
36:20People, Americans recognize that they're losing out, that something's missing.that they need something better and different, that they need to come together and push back againstthis hegemonic system that is crushing them.Well, I agree with you, but I think it goes both ways.I think both impulses can be stimulated. You can have the impulse of people saying, hey, let's work together, which case, if you were raisedthat way, that would be the way that your community kind of operates or looked at themselves, kind of like friends, right?
36:51Right.But they're willing to protest. They're willing to go after stuff if it's in the interest.of the collective. You can be taught that way and you can be raised that way or you could be raisedin an individual individualistic way that you are your own person, you are a rugged individualist, you do so and so. Both things can be stimulated from the standpoint of the human beings.I always say human beings are water and the glass. You could be either of those things. It's just that the one and the impulse is stimulated in this country, it's not the community.
37:19And so, you know, you get a situation where fuel prices go through the roof and the American publiccan't come together and say, this is outrageous, this is unacceptable. If it was France, well, obviously, the students are burning this shit down. They do.It's the same thing.I guess what I'm saying. It's just we deal with it in a different way.It doesn't hit us in a way.
37:39When we go and burn the White House down, even when that should be taking place.Look, we will get to a point where businesses are not able to pay the price upon a fuel.Well, let's say you can say, oh, your cookies at 40.That's already starting to happen.Yeah.Yeah, but you can't sell it at five. With diesel. When it hits five.
37:54those companies go belly up. And yeah, it's already happening with diesel. And there's trucks that are, there's trucks that are just stopped on the side of Interstate 70 in Ohio right now, not going anywhereas a result of, you know, their companies have been, and you know, they pay late fees for notdelivering their goods on time. And even accounting for that, you know, the cold-blooded Excelspreadsheet has told them like, we're probably better off just being, taking, absorbing, eating the latefees because the diesel's too expensive. It's not coming down.No. So I don't know what they're going to do with the trucks, but it's not coming down any time. No, for sure.
38:30And if Trump resumes strikes and Iran destroys capacity, like, meaning not just we can't get it through straight, that it just doesn't exist. And same thing with that answer to Iran.Well, the Hootis are destroying capacity, right? I mean, holy shit, I'm sorry Allah. They're like kicking ass and taking names. They set the Aramco office building on fire. You know, I mean, we, you know, yes.Yesterday we had Lake Maloof on, and we talked a little bit about it.But I kind of think we do need an economic expert on the oil politics to come on and talk about.I mean, honestly, Saudi Arabia, they don't have a way to get, I mean, if they need to basically nuke the hooties, which they can't do.
39:17Otherwise, I mean, they need to, and they probably need to nuke Iran, too, which again, they can't do.I mean, I don't see what options they have.I mean, as I see it, you know, this is checkmate, right?Like you're going to lose. You have no place to go.You can't use the Strait of Hormuz. You can't use the Gulf of Aden. You can't use your pipeline.
39:40I mean, if you look at a map, they've got no other options.I mean, I guess they could make nice with the Russians and try to export north. They're not going to do that.So like there's there's just no they don't have they've painted themselves into a corner and you know Saudi Arabia is is you know the number two or three largest oil exporting nation in the world. I mean.Is there anything out of Israel now with the elections going on there? Is there any kind of economic pain that they're feeling? Are they being hurt the way we are here in the US or Europe? If so, are there protests going on there? Like what's what have you all seen coming out of that hellhole?I haven't seen much of anything coming out of Israel.I mean, most of the news has been Saudi Arabia's, Ted said, getting the shit kicked out of him.I mean, Saudi Arabia's the last house, right?
40:27The election's in 12 days.With the oil, with the elections in 12 days for Israel?Yeah.Yeah.He's up for re-election.Netanyahu's losing.He's currently, but here's the thing.It's a parliamentary system.
40:41So Nanjahu could technically, his party could lose, Likud, but he could still win if he can form a government.Right? Because he has to form a coalition with all the right-wing religious parties. And that's usually what he does. If they were to withhold their support, then he would be fucked. You know, if his opponent were to form a coalition with the Arab party, something that up until now, no Jewish party is ever willing to do. Then, though, that would be a game changer. So it depends on how badly he wants to win, right? But he's ahead.Wait a minute. Didn't one of the government's former coalition with the Arab Party a few years ago? I could be wrong about it.No, I think you're right, briefly. And it was like one Arab Party. But basically it's not something they like to do.No, they typically don't do. They typically freeze out the Arab parties. If Nanyahu loses, there may be a cage with his name on it.Because the only thing that's keeping him out of jail right now is the fact that there's really that he's in government.True.He and Trump have that in common.
41:44Yes, they do.And Nanyahu's run into a headwindwith this notion of people pointing out,it seems that you allowed October 7th to happen.Almost certainly.Look, at the bare minimum, they were dumped.Okay, so if we are to believeBibi Netanyahu and his defenders,
42:03it's still a terrible look, right? So to hear them, it's like, well, we basically just forgot to send peopleto the kibbutzum for, over eight and a half hours. And also, we never saw it coming, despite the fact that we have the Mossad and, you know, this vaunted intelligence agency. But nevertheless, they didn't know what the fuck they were doing.
42:25And they never, even though the practice sessions for Hamas were posted on the internet. And, but they didn't read the internet. That's literally like, you know, so literally it's like, I'm not corrupt.I didn't let it happen.I just never saw it coming because I'm a dingus.that's your campaign. And I'm the one that's keeping you safe.Right.
42:47In a country where the voters, that's the only thing they care about is being kept safe, right?Yeah. And that was the one thing that he failed on.It's kind of like the U.S.The one thing Americans care about his economy, that's the one thing you failed on.Like, I don't know how he gets elected with that.
43:02Although you can always spin it, you know, I mean, like you can be like,he's kind of following the George W. Bush model.George, I always thought Democrats would say,George W.Bush was supposed to keep you safe and he didn't on 9-11. He fucked up. But they didn't play thatcard. And Bush basically was like, you know, I'm going to use this as my Reichstag fire moment tostart some wars against countries that had nothing to do with 9-11. I mean, it's even more potentfor Netanyahu because it's like, you know, they want greater Israel, right? Literally, the Times of
43:31Israel is now publishing articles where they're not joking, where they're calling forLabensrown, which was the Nazi German...word for living space. They wanted, you know, like we, Germany's all penned in, little tinyGermany, never mind, that's the biggest country in Europe, but, you know, tiny little Germany, and it needs to, it needs some breathing room out east mostly, but not just. And it's like, they, and Israel is like literally like, we need Labensrero. Yeah. It's like, but that's what they'vebeen trying to do the entire way through, like meaning whether they say it or not, thendestroying Gaza, like flattening Gaza, them flattening these areas of Lebanon. Okay, why are they
44:13doing that? Like, why are they going after construction equipment? Why are they going after constructioncompanies? Why are they doing that? We don't want you to rebuild because we want that territory.Like, meaning regardless of whether they say it, it is literally what they've been doingfrom day one. Yeah. Yeah. We got some comments and just a reminder, everyone, donations are kind of down, and if you can see your way clear, and you like the show, you know, don't have to put a ring on it, but definitely think about sending some money our way so we can keep doing this.Okay, so this is from Duskburn.Ted means man the barricades, and I'm here for it, but it won't happen until they openly declare our votes invalid,
44:56and people start freezing and going hungry.January is going to be wild.Yeah, agree. And Mavarik says, we'll be buying Iranian oil from Russia, LOL.With luck.Montana Native. That's what people have been saying, that the diesel deal, that Donald Trump struck, is Russia taking Iranian oil and selling it to the Americans.Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
45:21I don't think it's much oil, but, okay. No, it's not that much.Montana Native, I've heard a few people say that the House of Saud is collapsing,Viva la Anselaara. And Justice says, assassination of journalistJamal Khashoggi by Saudi agents.Following the assassination of Koshoggi,
45:43Epstein exchanged messages with associatesclosely tracking the international fallout, remarking that, well, the murder, dot, dot, dot.And thank you, Ray, for the $10 for the beer fund, gentlemen.Much appreciated. So, yeah, thanks for coming through for us that way.Okay, we have more to talk about 14 minutes left in the show.So what do we want to talk about, Ilhan Omar?
46:11We want to talk about ICE.Is this a two-hour show today?It's Thursday?Today's a one-hour show.One-hour show.I'm so confused.Money-on-price.I don't know what day.
46:24I don't know what day.No TMI today. No TMI today.TMI resumes next Tuesday.Okay.Let's do Ilhan Omar.Okay.I find this to be outrageous only because
46:38if they can do this to her, they can do this pretty much anybody.I mean, she's a sitting Congresswomanwho they're using the FBI.By the way, this is very Nixonian.Like when Nixon was using the IRSto go after a political opponent, and they put a bar between the IRS and the White House.
46:56It feels, not just feels,He is using the FBI to go after a sitting person of Congress using effectively her race as a rationale to do so.How on earth could Ilhan Omar have anything to do with her father bringing her into the country decades before? And how are you raiding her house going to find information and evidence associated with something that happened decades before?I just find this to be outrageous. And then all of the talk about her marrying her brother and shit like that, you know, thisit puts you in mind of the Haitians are eating cats narrative.Totally.
47:34It's like this foreigner is doing something that's very foreign. And we and the federal government are just pursuing the law and checking into nonsense.I don't believe this at all.By the way, this is like it's law fair, just like the kind that Republicans complained about being done against Trump.Yes.It's exactly the same kind of shit. And look, you're totally right.Look, if Ilhan Omar, even if she had the same exact color of her skin and skin features and facial features that she had now, but let's just say she didn't have a headscarf.
48:04Let's just say she dressed like Hillary Clinton or Amy Klobuchar. They wouldn't go after. They wouldn't be going after her, right?I mean, it's the fact that they're able to otherize her because she looks a little different.and, you know, I mean, literally it's ridiculous. One piece of cloth in their upper ass. And, I mean, part of me think, I mean, I got to say, when I see Democrats go, you know, kind of like just accept this shit, it amazes me.Like Ted Cruz, you know, he's always on his Twitter feed, libeling and defaming Democrats, you know, and saying things that are just outrageously not true.
48:45Like he claimed today that Sayyid in Michigan has direct ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. In other words, implying him with a State Department designated terrorist organization.I don't personally consider the Muslim Brotherhood to be terrorists at all, just to be clear here. But from Ted Cruz's point of view, right, he's saying that.Saeed should sue for defamation.Yes.Similarly, you know, Omar.should absolutely, she should sue.
49:18She should be like, I'm not, I mean, Trump would sue, and he'd be right. You know, Democrats, like, I mean, I understand the stricent effect, better than most, but like, you know, you're giving, you're giving air to an accusation that most peoplemight never have seen in the first place, and you might make it worse rather than just ignoreit and hope it goes away. But, you know, I mean, Bill Clinton, James Carville in 1990,He came out with, you know, they had this whole war room approach to the campaign.Like, anytime something comes out, whether it's true or false, we come out strong against it and we,
49:55and we swat it like a, you know, like whack-a-mole.That's the right way. That's the right approach.Agreed.I don't think that would make it worse.I think a lawsuit is kind of making the point of saying this shit is false. And I'm willing to fight this in court in order to get across. It's false.
50:12I don't know how that works, though, with a political campaign. That might be a little bit difficult.off, but I agree with you. Trump would have sued. You're trying to associate me with a groupthat's designated as a terrorist group. You're trying to basically say, because I'm Muslim, I'm aterrorist. That's obviously fucking outrageous, which is what he's trying to do. That's theinsinuation they're trying to make. Well, A. Said is a terrorist. He's obviously a terrorist. He'sMuslim. Look at him. That's what he's trying to, you know, that's the whole point of thatassociation that he's effectively trying to make, which is so deeply racist. And maybe that's
50:43like Pete Hicks, I thought it would be perfectlyokay to shoot a man in a wheelchair.Like, yeah, Trump will be for it.He's a man's man. He'll be for this. This is, you know, great and aggressive.By the way, I've been thinking about that.We talked about it yesterday.
50:57We don't need to belabor it.But I mean, you know, my mind works in the, often things run in the background. And I still find it incredible that Trump did not knowhe was in a wheelchair.Like, I mean, like you, you, you,he was asked to sign offthis like literally like Mr. President hey so remember the Ford Hood shooter maybe maybe not but
51:20he's a guy he did this he killed these 13 soldiers hey so we're gonna we want to we want to execute himby firing squad you cool and they had him sign something that said like okay death warrantDecember 3rd so in that signing no one tells the president like oh like there's this detail and there'sthat detail like no I mean and I just I'mI mean, the reason I ask this is not because of the issue at hand, but like, it really calls into question the decision-making process in the Oval Office on everything.I mean, is he not getting briefed on, like, in detail, on everything he signs? He's not because the president doesn't read.Like, don't take my word for this, reporting.
52:07But couldn't there be someone, couldn't they get some hot, busty blonde to, like, read the bullet points to him?Well, the dumb press secretary, you've seen her.Oh, God.She's dumb as a box of rocks, but gorgeous. She's the worst.Yeah, but gorgeous, but dumb. And it's like, but.She makes all her predecessors look like geniuses.
52:29Yeah, which is a problem, right?Because you want somebody who's effective at communicating in that spot. It's not about her looks. It's about her ability to communicate. He seems to get on his back here.Right.Like a Kaja Kalaas.Kaja is even more effective in her communication than this woman is.
52:47Right.But no, the reporting is Donald Trump doesn't really read. They give Donald Trump pictures and images of stuff blowing up,and Donald Trump thinks that that's the world, which is why when Trump comes out and saying,I don't know why you fake media keeps saying I'm losing the war.Because in his mind, what he's been shown is,hey, stuff is blowing up, everything's going great.
53:05He doesn't know. He's dumb.He doesn't read.Right.Meaning the fact that he didn't know that the guy was a good.I mean, I guess, I get that he doesn't read.I mean, I get that he doesn't read.I remember my father telling me that Reagan had a new dictat back in the 80s that like no matter,he wouldn't read any memo longer than a page and no cheating with like, you know, like no margins or, you know, smaller, smaller type or, you know, like no cheating.
53:34You know, like, you know, increasing, fucking with the kerning and the letting, like, no, nothing like that. But, and so I get that he doesn't read, but still, isn't there someone who should just sit there?Like, I remember, like, I was basically my boss's number two at the bank. And I, you know, I would bring him something to sign. And I'd be like, all right, so this is who it's to.This is what it's for. This is when it's due. This is how much the interest rate is.
54:03You know, here's the risk factors. You know, here's what might go wrong. What will probably not go wrong. And then, you know, and it would only take like a minute or two.And he doesn't have someone like that say, by the way, the dude's in a wheelchair and it's going to be on TV.So, you know, people might raise questions.Really? That didn't come up.
54:24I just did that in 30 seconds. But Trump didn't hire people for their competence.Like, I mean, like he might start a nuclear war without being fully briefed. You know what I mean? It's like.Yeah.No, it's terrifying. He's incompetent.
54:38Or is he?Or is he fully briefed? Or is it an and or situation? Is he fully briefed? And he's too fucking stupid to remember or internalize the shit that he hears. There's some things where Trump comes out and he seems well prepared in order to deliver.Like when he came out, I said Zelensky's keep his own refineries. I told him to stop. He's blah, blah, blah.Yeah, we got to talk about that. That seemed well prepared. He knew exactly what he was going to say. And he said it. Now, whether or not there was something rolling in his head is saying it of understanding. Who knows? But he's just like, oh, my new press secretary has nice boobs.Right.
55:14Yeah.I think he understands that. But in regards to what's happening around the world, I don't think that he fully understands.Like even with the Russia stuff, where Trump is like, well, we made this deal or the very least reporting was that the deal that Trump made with Putin in some part was to try to get Russia closer to the U.S. in order to sit down and make a deal or try to come to a deal. The terms of the deal that they were putting in the Washington Post was the same nonsense that they were putting out before. It's dead on arrival. Now, does Trump understand why it's dead on arrival?I don't think he does.
55:50Yeah, well, I mean, so.I guess part of it is personnel, this policy. And if you hire a bunch of yes men as your personnel, then you're just, you are not in a position to be able to make good decisions. We've got to talk about the Ukraine situation.By the way, just a confirmation, Stephen Kinser, the author of Boiling Point,How America Brought War to Ukraine, is going to be here on D-Program, either November 4th or November 5th.We're going to get the details on that, but I've been talking to his publicist, and it's a good read.By the way, they should have sent you the PDF yesterday.
56:30I haven't seen the PDFs for that book.Let me check, though.I'll double.I'll follow up again if they didn't, let me know. And the book is named Bowling Point, right?Boiling Point, yeah.Stephen Kinzer, bestselling author.Okay, so basically, you know, the main topic today was whether Ukraine and the United States are finally breaking up.
56:52It's been kind of an awkward partnership at times.Trump announced this fake energy ceasefire.Basically, obviously it didn't happen. Both sides traded exchanges.nevertheless. And then Starlink Star Shield, which is Elon Musk's satellite system, part of which provides the internet to rural parts of Ukraine. On behalf of the United States government,we paid for it with our tax dollars. That system was throttled yesterday, where suddenlyobjects like drones that moved over 100 miles per hour, suddenly no longer receiving signals,
57:33Zelensky and his people were furious. They said that it left Ukraine more vulnerable to attack from the Russians. And in fact, the Russians have been drawing more blood than usual with their drone attacks. But also the Russians have unveiled new jet-propelled drones that are more effective.Nevertheless, so it's kind of a mix of those things. But anyway, Zelensky accused the White House and or Musk of trying to subtly threatenUkraine by basically throttlingthe Starlink system
58:08and you know like we'rewe're sort of turning you off a little bitto rate you know sort of pull it the choke collar on the dogI don't know I mean there may be something to thisbut it does seem like you know from that exchange in the WhiteHouse with J.D. Vance and Zelenskythis was never this was not a marriage that was meant to lastand I think we're beginning to see the strains to the point where this might be, I don't know,
58:38is this the beginning of the end or does this bullshit continue?I don't know.I mean, there are a few things about this that's weird.I mean, for one, Ukraine can't hit refineries without the United States assistance in hitting those refineries. It's not like they can do this on their own, right? And yet a refinery went up and smoked yesterday that Ukraine apparently hit.So does the president not have control over the CIA and the entities that is effectively assisting Ukraine and hitting refineries?Does he not have the power to tell them to stop?
59:11Does he not have the power to pull the CIA out?Does he not have a power to stop sharing intelligence that would allow them to hit refineries?Because again, they hit one yesterday despite Trump claiming, hey, I need you to stop doing that. Two, there are two interesting points of the Starlink thing.A, Eli Musk came out.and made a statement on this, apparently. And he says, StarShill Systems, right here.Star Shield Systems are owned and controlled by the government of the United States.
59:41Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the U.S. military and ultimately the president of the United States.Basically, look, we are. It's not me. It's not me.I've rented this out to the U.S. military. The U.S. military makes the determination about what happens in regards to limits on the system.I believe Musk 100%.Yeah, I believe them completely, right?I don't believe for a moment that Elon Musk is sitting around trying to figure out whether he wants to turn up or down the system for Starlink.
01:00:08The second thing is these systems were obviously being used as offensive military capacity.Because otherwise, why would Zelensky bring that up saying, hey, you shut us down, if indeed you weren't using it to attack?Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX usage of the defensive activities.and cannot be used for offensive military actionsas doing so will be inappropriate for a commercial company.Basically, look, we're a private entity. We're not involved in offensive operationsbecause if we were, the Russians may consider us a target
01:00:44and go after our system. So just wanna know we're a private entity,we're not doing that, but obviously they are.The Russians have found missilesthat had Starlink information built into the systems. The Russians know that Starlink is being usedas an offensive weapon.Oh, they know.
01:01:00They also read the New York Times. They read the New York Times. And Zelensky out here screaming, hey, wait a minute,we were trying offensive operations as we normally do.And they were inhibited because you turned downour capability of using our missile systems, whichmeans that this was something that they were doing beforeand that has now somehow been inhibited,
01:01:21in which case they'd not able to do.Eli, must come and say, hey, we're not in for offensive actions.is nonsense. Zelensky wouldn't be out here screaming about it if indeed that was true prior.True. Meaning, obviously, Starlink is being used for offensive operations. There's that. They obviously were turned down for some particular reason, which seems to be coming from the White House. There it's that. And then the catch becomes, okay, well, why is he turning this down? Is it in order to put pressure on Zelensky? The last part, I want to make the point of also.Sounds like it. The last part is, for all of this talk about Americans, like in the way,
01:01:57that the newspapers repeated like Donald Trump is sitting on the outside of the war and this Ukrainefighting the war. Well, Ukraine was screaming about the fact that they weren't getting intelfor the missiles that were landing in Kiev because they weren't apparently, Zelensky was sayingthere was no warning to the missile systems that were hitting Kiev. Russia's been hitting Kievevery day around the clock. The last attack that they hit was a power plant that took down,I think it's like 600,000 people without power. Like Kiev just went black when they hit it. AndSo his thing was, well, we didn't know that these attacks were coming because there was no intel being shared by our, quote, allies, meaning the U.S. then tell us.So what that means is, A, the U.S. is completely Ukraine, is complete reliant upon the United States telling it when missiles or drones are coming in.
01:02:43So their air defense is entirely tethered to the U.S.And B, the U.S. is entirely instrumental in missiles flying into Russia, hitting their targets, which is, again, evident by the fact that the U.S. turned down Starlink, which means.that Ukraine could launch their attacks. How on earth is America saying they're not party to this war?Like, your entire air defense system is dependent upon the U.S.and your capacity to strike is dependent upon the U.S.How does the U.S. argue that they are not fighting the Russians?Well, I mean, they can't.
01:03:16I mean, I don't think nobody believes it.I mean, including the president's supporters here at home.I mean, look, you don't see as many Ukrainian flags, flags, you know, all over the place, the way we did, you know, in liberal democratic enclaves. That seems to be part of it is just the fact that it was Biden's war and then it, and now it'sTrump's war and that sort of, you know, softens up the support. But also, I mean, it all ties into the narrative that we talked about earlier in the show. You know, the U.S. is squandering billions of dollars to, in part, to blow up other people overseas.
01:03:55and meanwhile Americans are in trouble here at home. And Ukraine is part of that. And also, even if you don'tbelieve any of that or you don't care about any of that, I mean, you've got to look at the calendar and say, okay, this war is now in its glorious fifth year and it's all been fought on Ukrainian soil. There's no, you know, sure, they lobbed some projectiles across the border. But the Ukrainians, there's no world in which the Ukrainians are going to recapture the Donbos and Crimea. They're not going to be whole again. They're not going back to their pre-2014 borders. They're not.
01:04:34And so they've lost. And I think Americans, it's like if their sports team is losing, they tend to not show up for the games anymore.I think it's just all about killing at this point.Seriously, I think this is all about how many people,Can we kill? And by we, I mean the West at the West at large.Because for us, it's like a little like it's its own reward.Yeah, for sure.Because I think there's also, honestly, the defense business is loving the opportunity to test out all sorts of new gadgets.
01:05:10You know, it's the first true drone war and anti-drone technology. This is about testing new weapons systems more than anything else. But tell me, think about this.i mean your student of history edward long shanks edward the second once famously said the onlywrong with scotland is that's full of scots well if ukraine if the only wrong with ukraineis as who is full of ukrainians what are you do with them yes to the meat rider if i mean you got thisyou got this huge piece of land the size of texas that's rich in resources and you can't get itbecause those pesky people are there well i don't think the people are there anymore yeah i don't
01:05:48buy that. I don't think that they want to just kill just for the sake of a killing.Oh, I do. I think they're drunk on blood. Listen, we're talking about, we're talking aboutexecuting a dude in a wheelchair. Laurel Lumer's like, we need to gag them so you can't saya la Akbar when they pull the sugar. I mean, no, seriously, our government, our government isdrunk on blood. That cow should shut the fuck up. Agreed.Um, look, I, deport, deport that effort. Yeah, deport that heifer. Deport that heifer. Um,Look, I don't think we care about killing. And I don't think the human life matters.
01:06:23But I don't think we just killed just for the sake of killing.Like, it costs money to kill.Right?Like, I hate to say that that's our hedge. But I don't think, look, I don't think they care if Ukrainians die.But I don't think they started a war for the point of Ukrainians dying. If anything, I think this has more to do with at this point, as Ted pointed out, weapons, meaning the amount of money that they can make on selling him.
01:06:45You have to Trump family members that are.all in making money on this. In fact, there was a C.B. Else report, CBS just reported on the amount ofmoney that Donald Trump was effectively making off this war using his family members as a way ofa gateway into it. So I think people are making a killing on the war. I think they're making a hugeamount of money off of. They are. I mean, I don't think that they would just kill just for thelike a killing. And if they wanted access to every war is fought for economic reasons.Yeah, there's usually reasons behind it. It's not just it calls the, it calls the dollar, it calls moneyto make bullets. It calls money.
01:07:19I get it. No, I get it. But again, if you're going to go,if you're going to export the land, well, then you've got to do something to the people there. You can do the Israeli model, but you can't do if you're a civilized European.Wait, well, you say that. Who do you, who do you think?I'm talking about the people who are running the EU and NATO.They want to have already overthrown the government of Ukraine. If they want toaccess to the territory, they had it.I agree. It's not like the Russians got involved immediately.
01:07:44Putin waited for like eight years, nearly a decade before getting involved. If they would exploit the land, they could have done so.Could they have?Because even the dogs got us pride. You got to do something with that dog.You think Zelensky and these guys, I don't think, you think the European leaders have pride.I think that they have greed.I think the last one who had pride was to gall.
01:08:10Yeah, I don't think they do.I think really what this is about, Ukraine was overwhelmingly a,a Christian Orthodox country, even after the imposed atheism from the Soviet Union. This is about filling body bags as quickly as they possibly can for profit. And once the lands are depopulated, you got to move other people in.Who are those other people going to be?The people who are able to do the machine?Yeah, who are they going to be?
01:08:38Yeah, who are they? Who are these other people?Oh, Germans, French, Italians.I mean, there's plenty of people from Western Europe who go in and export that territory. They think they're going to leapfrog over Eastern Europe and sort of do their own Labenshram version, settle the east? He's going to stop them.Sure's question.Because Ukraine is not going to be.Putin is too much of a pussy to do.
01:09:00I don't see under-employed Jen Ziers from southern France moving to Ukraine to, to, to plow the field. You tell the two million dead Ukrainians that Putin is a pussy. You tell them.Listen, I already have. And you know what?If Putin was serious about winning this war, this war had been over 30.years ago. He's too cautious. He's very cautious. He's too cautious. And the thing is, no, there would not betwo million dead Ukrainians right now. If Russia had, if the Russians fought this war, the way that
01:09:29needed to be fought, he could have saved a lot more lives than what he has because he's too cautious. But he also would have lost more lives. And he would have also lost any opportunity to, for, I don'tthink, for example, the Chinese would be in bed with him now if he had, if he had gone that route. At least not in the beginning. Now.there's leeway. Well, here's the thing. So China has two options. You can either work with the Russians or you can work with the Americans. Of the two of them, it's the United States that's trying to split Taiwan off of your country, make it to a permanent military base. And then it's already split off. And then you come out with Congress and president saying that China is not a rival, not a competitor, but an enemy. And then you have Russia up here saying, hey, you know, we we have been.mutual interests here. Maybe we can work together. You can do as you will with Korea, do as you will with Taiwan. It's kind of like to be left to Eastern Europe, Tibet.
01:10:27China is still trying to tell you. It's up after 10.5 a doctor's one.All right, let's call it a show. Thank you, everyone, for watching.Appreciate you.
