And I'm Lisa Di Giulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Listen on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, this is Kylie Breakman. Angel Geratana. Jeremy Colhain. Patrick McDonald. And we're the hosts of the Artists on Artists on Artists Podcast. The Improvised Character Comedy Podcasts where each week a new panel of artists discuss their craft.
Starting point is 00:01:15 Join us for a panel of Eurovision participants. And we do a little Halloween sometimes. Does the Pope dress up? He winks on Halloween. He gets right up next to the microphone. I hear you can almost hear the eyelashes hit each other. You never seen Italy. quiet as Wanda Pope gets up to wink on Halloween.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Listen to Artists on Artists on Artists every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You sign a lot of these guys for October. While people were soured on Teoscar Hernandez, I buy into that dude in October because he's still standing there, by the way, watching that Homer. What up everybody and welcome to the first post-season post-game of Dodgers territory, Clint Paseas, Alana Rizzo, we are here taking you through. Game one. Cheers to the everybody. Cheers to you, Clint. Postseason is here. It is arrived and the Dodgers take game one, five to three over the Atlanta Braves.
Starting point is 00:02:24 We're going to talk all things to Oscar, all things Kyle Tucker, all things Max Muncie, all things, Terrick Scooble. But first, let's start with the end and go backwards. Let's start with that ninth inning. Tanner Scott, thank goodness Clint. Tanner had a cushion, but that's not. what you want to see. Yeah. Listen, I guess get it out of the way now. Let Tanner Scott get the bad ending out of the way now. It serves up a two-run homer to Ozzy Albies.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I wasn't expecting a lot out of Ozzy in this series. Last night we did a sort of final pre-series show on my All-Dodgers channel. And my buddy Kevin says, well, he's somebody I'm watching the series. Ozzie Albies is like, really? In this day and age, he showed you. He still got something to the tank. I don't know, like, do you worry about Tanner Scott already, like, already immediately after this? Like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I'm on the fence if I'm worried. Like, we entered this postseason feeling fantastic about the starting rotation, and we do with Derek Scoobles game one start. But now, you know, the guy who Dave wants to turn to most often in the ninth didn't have a good, you know, but I guess 2026 postseason debut. Well, yeah, I mean, no, I'm not worried. I'm not worried because I do think when you have a five to one lead you don't necessarily have to nibble as much I do think that this is a guy
Starting point is 00:03:49 that knows what he's doing thank goodness we had the cushion I don't think that Dave would hesitate going to him again I was a little too close for comfort but I think it's too soon now if he has a couple of other outings like that whether it's in the ninth inning or leading up to the ninth inning
Starting point is 00:04:03 then a little bit more concerned if he's allowing a lot of traffic on the bases but for this one, or not even traffic on the bases, Ozzy Albies didn't even really have to touch him. But, you know, I think I'm not concerned yet. Not in the first game. Yeah. Again, I get it out of the way now.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Evan Phillips comes in behind him with two outs, walks the lead off batter. He faces, of course, to bring up Austin Riley, who has himself some big postseason moments. That made me nervous. Yeah, yeah. Thankfully, thankfully everything works out. your Dodgers win game one.
Starting point is 00:04:38 We are happy about that. We are thrilled about that. You know what I was thrilled with? I don't know. Do you want to talk more pitching? Do we want to stay in the pitching lane and talk about Terrick Scoobal? Or we want to talk about Dinger's. Talk about Terrick.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Let's go from the closer to the starter. Terrick Scoobel was awesome to see him in his Dodgers postseason debut. Enteres the start on Saturday, a 204 ERA, 6 career postseason starts. So he knows how to pitch in the postseason. Clint, when it matters the most, he had struck out 56, walked just six batters of the 148 batters he faced coming into this game. I think a couple of things. The heat might have gotten to him there at the latter portion of his outing, and not only
Starting point is 00:05:24 the heat, but the fact that he had some really quick innings, he's kind of just sitting in the dugout, waiting for the Dodgers offense to do its thing. So I think he did great, though. Obviously, gives up one home run, so one earned run in six innings of work. I love the fact that now it looks brilliant, right? That Terrick Scoobel started game one. Blake Snell's going in game two. And then Yoshinobu Yamamoto will go in game three.
Starting point is 00:05:47 So Terik Scouble, this is why you got him, right? This is why you signed him and got him at the trade deadline. This is why every team that was in contention should have gone after him. And the Dodgers did it. And this is a massive arm that they needed. And he proved them right. Yeah, I think the heat got to him eventually. but, you know, lead off single by Drake Baldwin, and after that, retires the next 15 braves in order that he faces.
Starting point is 00:06:16 And then, yeah, into that sixth inning, you know, I think he was his gas. What's funny, it's, you know, it's the bad luck. It's the hubris, I guess you could say, to a degree, because I was about to type to, you know, a text thread. I'm a part of, like, complete game shutout because he was into the six. He was at only, like, 67 pitches at that time. And then sure enough, Sean Murphy goes yard. But thankfully, limits the damage to just that. And yeah, six-fold, the two hits, one earn, two walks, both in that inning,
Starting point is 00:06:47 seven punchies, 94 pitches, all things considered with the heat. His first real honest-to-God game one start with the major league team, with all due respect to the Detroit Tigers. That's not very nice. You know what? That's why you trade for him. That's why you trade for him. Absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:07:03 And I do feel that this was an absolute must-win game. obviously not because it is the NLDS, not because postseason is so much more difficult to get wins, but because the Atlanta Braves were starting a bullpen game. If you have Eric Scobble on the hill and you have a bullpen game, you better freaking win. I don't care who the Dodgers would have started in game one. When your opponent is throwing a bullpen game and you know that they are tired, you know that their relieving core is not where they want them to be. They're scrambling and kind of limping into the postseason.
Starting point is 00:07:36 you must get this game when you have that ace. We get another ace tomorrow and then another ace game three. This is a must win for that reason alone. Yeah, that would be, I don't know if that's the end-all, be-all for the Dodgers, of course, because it still would be the Braves would still need to win two more games. But yeah, if you end up losing a bullpen game, that is just such a momentum shift. That is a fantastic point there. So don't give them that chance.
Starting point is 00:08:06 now we're still not certain that they're going to have Chris Sale available in game two. You know, so far Walt Weiss unwilling to, are unwilling or unknowing on whether or not sales is going to be available. As we talked about yesterday, Chris Sale is older now. Like to have him go out there and pull a Max Scherzer like he did with the Dodgers in 2021, Scher had a tough time coming back and being available for the team. He did. But Scherzer en route to that point.
Starting point is 00:08:36 was not having the type of season that Chris Sale has put together this year or last year. Well, he was really good after they traded for. I think Chris Sale has pitched better this year than he did even earlier on in his career. So I don't, yes, he's older, but so are we. I just don't put it past him to have a really good outing, but I'd love it for not to even be an issue. Or, furthermore, force the issue, force him to pitch. You know what I mean? I want to look at some more Terek Scouble, by the way, the numbers here.
Starting point is 00:09:04 just throw that up on the screen while we're also talking about Chris Sale showing off the new graphics. Shout out our buddy Derek Lewandowski, who hosts Pinstripe Territory, our Yankees counterpart here on the Fowle Network. Hell of a game, hell of a season. But yeah, Chris Sale, he's fantastic. We know this much. And if he gets the ball for game three, I mean, that's still good. Hopefully he gets the ball for game three. And the Braves are down to nothing in the series because I'd feel a lot better about that one.
Starting point is 00:09:34 talk more about all of that coming up. What do you got? The music you love. I heart radio. Your favorite radio stations. Everywhere you go. The podcasts, everyone's talking about. All in one place.

Starting point is 00:10:06 Free IR Radio app today. Lisa, we should tell them about our new show. Oh my God, Lexi. We have a new podcast. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi Youanu. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa DiGulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references,
Starting point is 00:10:27 occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. I'm not going to get anywhere fighting. That is wild. I learned that about you today. Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business. And I've always got something to say. If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world. We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser.
Starting point is 00:10:54 We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Liar. Listen on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I don't really care. I'm Lacey Mosley, author, actor, stand-up comedian, creator, and host of Scam Goddess Podcast. The True Crime Comedy Podcasts, all about robbery, fraud, and those who practice it. Each week, I bring on incredible guests like Conan O'Brien, Iowa, Debrie, Lamorne Morris, and Nicole By. Ooh, I scammed them. What?
Starting point is 00:11:37 I could talk to you for an hour. You're a generational yapper like me. That's why I had to make yapping a job. And the scams run the gamut. I'm talking about scams from the 1800s all the way up to today. I also warn you and keep you safe against scammers. Call your grandparents. Tell your parents to stop clicking on links, please.
Starting point is 00:11:58 And now you can catch full episodes of my show on YouTube. If there's a scam, I'm here to protect you. And I'm also here to last. with you. So if you like fun, if you like comedy and you like learning and protecting yourself from criminals, start listening to Scam Goddess on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I do want to bring something up in the chat that is, I think, a very good point. V-Track 1963 says, I'm grateful Roberts didn't stick with Scott, although Phillips walking the first guy sucks also. Good point on both points. I think this is another explanation or
Starting point is 00:12:37 another example, rather, of Dave Roberts maturing as a manager and saying, look, Terrick Scoobel obviously doesn't have it right now. I'm going to go ahead and make the decision before it got to the point of no return where it could have ended up tight. Yes, you don't want Evan Phillips to walk the first guy. That's not helpful either. But the frame of mind to just be like, nope, you're out. We don't have time.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Like, I don't have time to see how this goes. We're in this to win every single game. So that was a good point, I think, that he made for sure. No, it's a really good point to bring up there. Yeah. And, you know, if we were smarter about being prepared for that ninth inning, because that ninth inning happened pretty quick, if we're being honest. And usually when we get to the ninth inning, that's the fun part where I get to pay attention
Starting point is 00:13:22 the least because I need to start getting things, you know, the ones and twos and bells and whistles ready here for the show. So you don't really see how quick an inning can speed up there. But, yeah, shout out to Dave, like managing immediately with that kind of urgency. see, you know, he was ready. I think Matt Olson was also Terrick Scoobble's last batter in that inning regardless in that sixth inning. Thankfully, he gets him on the pop-up, 100-mile-an-hour cheese, I think it was, to get
Starting point is 00:13:49 him out, or maybe that was in the first inning. But a similar situation there to end the sixth inning and that threat for the Braves. But, yeah, I mean, all in all, outside of that ninth inning, great game on the pitching front, birthday Brock. He gets a seventh inning. somebody who we can talk a little bit later more about the roster situation, but we weren't certain Brock Stewart was going to be on this postseason roster. He ends up making the roster, tosses a one, two, three inning with a punchy in there,
Starting point is 00:14:17 and Vesia, you know, a buddy texted me saying, it's great to have Vesia back because I also kind of forgot. They didn't have Alex Vescia in the World Series, and that was a huge, huge missing part. 100%. Yeah, they really needed him last year. Obviously, we know why, and he was exactly where he needed. needed to be, but it is great. And then you're thinking, too, you're like, okay, so Terrick Scubel's in their lefty. Vesia is also a lefty, so it's like, you know, the lesser of two evils in that
Starting point is 00:14:43 situation in terms of Scouble kind of fatiguing at that point, and Vessia coming into the game, hopefully with what would have been, you know, a clean inning, that's kind of what you want. But they, you know, Terrick Scobble did his job. The bullpen did its job for the most part. It was a little hairy there. I understand that completely. But bottom line is they win game one, and, you know, there's 10 more to go before they three Pete. Obviously, that is the goal this season. Do we want to talk dingers now? Let's talk some dingers.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Talks some diggers. How about the outfielders that have not necessarily come up clutch in the regular season? I have been preaching how great Kyle Tucker is all season long, Clint. I don't know. Exactly. I don't know. I mean, I've been harping on this. No, I'm kidding.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Kyle Tucker, again, massive moment. Welcome. Welcome. That'll cement yourself into the appreciation lobe of some fans. Yeah. Like you said, in our rundown, Kyle fucking Tucker. Been saying all year. It doesn't matter. You signed this dude for October. You signed a lot of these guys for October. We talked to Tyler Glass now two days ago. And pretty much, you know, I asked around the fact that you guys just really need to be ready for the month of October. pictures like him, like Blake Snell, so on and so forth. There's a reason while people were soured on Teoscar Hernandez, I buy into that dude in October because he's going to,
Starting point is 00:16:12 he's still standing there, by the way, watching that Homer. Thank God. Like, that was absolute cinema there. Get me Teo in the batters box with the runner on base. On a warmer day, a hot-ass day, really, in L.A.? You know that balls and fly, fucking halfway up. You want the Latin guys that love the heat in those scenarios. Yeah, the Hernandez brothers, man, when it comes to October, it's just a different,
Starting point is 00:16:39 it's just a different beast. So, Taya, that was awesome to get the Dodgers on the board with that two-run shot, obviously. And then, you know, Kyle Tucker, an unlikely hero, two for four tonight, the two RBIs, obviously. He scored the run. He had a stolen base, 12 for 12 on stolen bags in the regular season. He's one for one so far in this playoff push. And then Max Muncie, who was like, duh, you just expect Max Muncie to Homer, right? I mean, he's just that dude.
Starting point is 00:17:06 He's just that guy. So listen, if they have to win it via the long ball the entire time, as long as you play good defense, you know, and you throw and catch the ball well, I'll take it. Yeah, Mont's postseason Homer number 17 to extend his Dodgers franchise lead. Again, everything before the ninth inning was just a very fun baseball game. The kind of game, the kind of game, the kind of game, type of game you want to see as a Dodger fan. And like you said, it can't be not overstated enough, if that's how you would say this, that you need to win a game where the Braves are throwing a bullpen game, especially if it's game one.
Starting point is 00:17:46 And it's in your ballpark, and they did just that. Teo got him going. Yeah, you love it. You know, I am, I'm slightly mad at Mookie. I had some money on him to hit a homer, but he let me down. unfortunately but yeah let's get into some of the chats by the way people hanging out with us and um don davis is hitting us hold on me uh let me fix the way this looks here on my screen before i share it to everybody else uh using using some different looks but don davis two dollars
Starting point is 00:18:17 saying alana it's going to be great it's going to be great it was great it was great it was a great game today. You're right, Don, appreciate you very much. I'm assuming, yeah, all right. So appreciate that. Don, a couple other super chats in here. I think I saw one. We got the Enigma in here as well, 499 saying I feel like a proud Papa with my boy Tucker coming through. And y'all chill on Scott. He's been great all year and we won. Postseason is binary. Yeah, that's one of those sounds like. That's why I'm not concerned because he has had a strong. Now, I would have been more concerned had he had the year he had last year. And he's in that, in that situation.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Like you don't worry immediately. You flag it. You certainly flag it as like, okay, there's concern. For sure. Something to keep your eye on. Gabriel, because not 7840, Superchat, $5. We appreciate you very much, Gabriel. And that's all she wrote Game Over.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Dodgers win, baby. One down, 10 to go. That's right. Go, Dodgers. Appreciate you guys participating here on Dodgers territory. Supports the show very much. Thank you. Appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:19:17 This is good. Latino slant. Just great name. Let's tuck and go. Ola, Clint and Alana, one down, tend to go. What's up, buddy? Thanks for the support. We appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Can we please talk about Pahas and challenges? Listen, listen. I think what made it worse was, like, how egregious that ball four that was called a strike three to Mookie was in the first inning. And Mookie, finding it within himself to not challenge because it's the first inning and he's the first batter of the game. Yeah. It's like, you can understand, even as obvious as it was. It's like, listen, I'm going to take the veteran move, the veteran play here, and not potentially blow a challenge. I mean, you've got so much more time in the game at that point to win the game and figure it out.
Starting point is 00:20:03 And first inning, first batter of the game, that is not the time. That's a pro move by Mokey, Marcus Lynn. But Andy, I love you, man. You're a big part of what's been happening with the success of this club. Take challenges away. Take them away. Like, you are not allowed to challenge. I think in the bottom of the eighth, too, like there was a pitch.
Starting point is 00:20:24 He wanted to challenge. I'm pretty sure he got the heavy red light from the dugout after that was the second inning. But yeah, not also for Andy, just another one of those things you're not worried about, but you flag it for now. Oh, I'm worried. Not a great first game offensively, more so. Like, hopefully you don't let that mentally snowball on you, you know, dropping an O for there for Pahez. You know, played a really nice center field, a tough sunfield. It's not as much of a sunfield as right field is, but there was a play where he's kind of like, you know, using the glove, shielding the sun, all that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:21:00 So I appreciate that much. I also appreciate Shohei Otani's versus at bat. Oh, not homers. It's a hard single. End up getting stranded. It's all I got to do. Hit the ball hard. Good things are eventually going to happen.
Starting point is 00:21:15 I mean, he was crushing dingers on the field earlier today, right? It wasn't necessarily BP, but it was the other day when he was doing sim games or whatever. Yeah, I think they said he hit 11 homers yesterday in live BP. 11 homers in 23 at bats or something like that, 23 pitches more so. So you like that. We like 499 in the super chats from Raul Navarre. So school was raking Tanner Scott is who he thought he was. Teo and Tucker looked good.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Gonna be great. It's going to be great. Yeah, how have we not made that a shirt, by the way? I know. What's going on with that, Sarah? By the way, if you guys do want some sweet, sweet DT swag, or I guess it's less so DT swag, this is stuff you could find over on the Fowel Territory Shop. You can check out the shirts they got there. Scan that QR code. It also goes to helping us, helping support the network, and you got Scoob in there.
Starting point is 00:22:13 You got Yamamoto, your game three starter. I have the Yamamoto shirt. It's sick. I love it. It was funny. I don't know if you guys. I'm sure you did if you were watching the game. If you saw Terrick Scoobel's interview with our own Ken Rosenthal, check out Fair Territory with Ken Rosenthal. He also appears often on foul territory. But, you know, Ken was just asking about the – because I believe that Tanner Scott has – all of his postseason victories have come on the road. So he's not used to hearing home fans cheer in terms of the postseason because he's never been at Camerica, right?
Starting point is 00:22:42 So here, obviously, home fans are cheering for him. And he's like, it's very similar. Scoob is very similar to boo. I thought that was a very funny comment from him, but it's nice that he was able to get the home fans behind him and also get some run support because that's not something that Tanner Scott has had in his previous post-season appearances with the Tigray's.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Yeah, yeah, 100%. And playing at home, being the first guy on the mound because you are the home team. It's a different kind of, you know, a different kind of feel. And of course, right away, I'm joking around in my Discord chat telling people It's like, oh, he gives up the lead off Homer to Terrick Scoob. I mean, to Drake Baldwin, why is it not Yamamoto getting game one? You know, you always got to question the team and the decisions and all that kind of stuff,
Starting point is 00:23:29 but we don't question a 1-0 series advantage. And just before the end of the game there, I was looking over with the trading kind of lines, odds, with our friends at Kalshi, the Dodgers to win the series now, trading at 85%. I would say find another trade because 25 bucks wins you only 2942. You're not going to
Starting point is 00:23:56 win a whole lot saying your Dodgers are going to win here. But that trade does pay out if you are right. And of course you guys know, Cal she's with us through this postseason run. Hopefully beyond that, it is a peer-to-peer trading app. It is not a sports book. You're directly trading with
Starting point is 00:24:11 other users. And here's a promo code for you. Scan that. You get $55 added to your account. When you scan that and you place a $25 total, or total $25 in trade, you could also use the promo code baseball. But again, scan that QR code or go ahead and just hit the link in the description below. And that'll go a long way in helping us out there as well. So thanks for that. Yeah, we appreciate that. Also, guys, don't forget, before we look ahead, the game. which we're going to do that here momentarily on Dodgers territory, the special posting edition. A reminder to smash that subscribe button on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Please rate and review the podcast, Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your pods. You know the Joe. We ask you this every single time, but it is important. We appreciate it. Starting point is 00:26:39 Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Liar. Listen on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I don't really care. We've got a game to look at. We got a game two to look at, Alana. And you guys know this whole series is going to be on Fox.
Starting point is 00:28:12 We'll talk more about that. Coming up in a little bit, game two. Tomorrow 5 p.m. Pacific time on FS1. We know Blake Snow gets the ball. for the Dodgers for game two. They say, you know, it's an FS1. It is game two. He gets the ball for game two.
Starting point is 00:28:27 We don't know. You said it right. You said it right. I don't pay attention to myself. Who would do that? Nobody does. As much as this is, you know, a conversation, a pretty big conversation for fans right now. Like, why is Yamamoto not getting game two or even game one?
Starting point is 00:28:47 I do not hate. We've said this for a while. There's no right, right answer. There's no wrong answer. or when it comes to pitches in the series and what order the 1, 2, 3 pitches in the series? And Blake Snell gets the ball tomorrow. You like it, you hate it, how you feel about it?
Starting point is 00:29:01 I'm okay with it. I don't think that it matters if Chris Sail goes or not. If I'm the Braves, I save Chris Sail to game three. I don't run him out there tomorrow because tomorrow is not a must-win game. Obviously, game three would be a must-win game if the Dodgers win game too. But I love Blake Snell. He has a great postseason record.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Remember, I highly, I highly, highly believe the Dodgers won the 2020 World Series because Kevin Cash pulled Blake Snell. We couldn't do anything against him in 2020 when the team was in Texas in the bubble during COVID, all the things. But I love him in game two. He's a dog on the mound. He's healthy. He obviously missed a lot of time this year. But this is what this team is built for. The Los Angeles Dodgers are not built for the regular season. They always, you know, do well in the regular season. But it's the postseason in which this team was built for. And Blake Snell wasn't needed in the regular season. They won 100 games, you know. So this is good. I like him in game two.
Starting point is 00:29:59 I love Yama in game three. I mean, that would be on the road, right? Yeah. So Atlanta, which I don't necessarily love that, but whatever. I'm fine with, I'm fine with Snow. I'm fine with it. I love it. I don't see it as a disrespect to Yamamoto. I'm just kind of commenting on what EB, VH8, WG said, appreciate the comments, guys, love the discussion. Doyers, disrespected Yamamoto, bad, he's your ace and saved your ass in 2025.
Starting point is 00:30:26 And this is how you treat. I don't see it that way. I just see it as a match-up thing, obviously. I like back in the lefties up against one another. Terrick Scobo, Blake Snow, plus their boys now. I feel like if you didn't start Blake's now, he'd cry.
Starting point is 00:30:39 No, I'm kidding. So I don't mind it. I don't think Yama feels disrespected. I think Yama is a team player. He's one of, he's one of 20, He's the World Series MVP. And whenever you throw him out there, he's going to do the job. And what I love the most about him, and I'm not trying to jinx him, is the man posts every single time.
Starting point is 00:30:58 He's healthy and he shoves. And you don't have to worry about him missing time. So I like this and I like the fact that we don't know who's going tomorrow. That means that they're struggling. They're struggling with their rotation. They don't know who's going tomorrow. They don't. And we can look here on this particular asset.
Starting point is 00:31:16 I'm throwing up on the screen here. Yeah, it's a TBD. We're talking about a TBD in NLDS game two. That's what I'm talking about. That's so insane that you don't, you're so broken, I guess, for lack of a better phrase. Because Atlanta is a good team. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but you're so disjointed on how you got into the postseason that you're not even sure who the best option is when it's just game two of the NLDS
Starting point is 00:31:43 because you had to play in the wild card series. and, you know, you didn't address your rotation stuff, so you had to use sale, or excuse me, your bullpen stuff. So you had to use sale coming out of the bullpen, even though a lot of people said why. It wasn't necessarily a good idea. But listen, I love it. I love Snell against, I'll take Snell against all TBDs. He, well, definitely, he is also, it's worth reminding everybody a two-time Siong Award winner. And when he was on the mound outside of his first game back or his first start this year,
Starting point is 00:32:13 when he was on the mound for this team this year, he was fantastic. And he was somebody I was arguing could and should start game one. You know, Scoobel, I wouldn't say scuffled down the stretch. But he wasn't the Terrick Scoobel we were expecting down the stretch before he locked it in. And, of course, locked it in game one. There is no right answer. Again, there is no wrong answer. But you feel real good about where this team is.
Starting point is 00:32:37 And if you guys want to watch that game again, it's going to be on with our friends at Fox 1. MLV on Fox is streaming on Fox 1. me on FS1 tomorrow, the postseason here, and we have all your front row seats to the wireless walk-off, lights out pitching like we saw today, and clutch plays all playoffs long. Stream each NLDS
Starting point is 00:32:57 and NLCS game, and then your 2026 World Series, live on Fox 1 at home or on the go, live or on demand, never miss a moment. Stream now, start your Fox Fox 1, Fox 1 3-day, there's too many numbers altogether. Fox 1 3-day free child
Starting point is 00:33:12 at Fox1.com. couple more little odds and ends to button up. Just quickly talk about the roster situation. DePaula and Heson Kim, Hoseway DePaula, Heson Kim on Alex Kahl, Alex Freeland off. And in the bullpen, Edgar O'Henriquez returns. I already mentioned. Brock Stewart made it.
Starting point is 00:33:35 On his birthday. On his birthday, happy birthday beef. And then no Sheehan, no Robo, and no Jack Dreyer. Any feelings about that? And I'm not surprised because he, you know, we didn't need him in the starting rotation and he's not necessarily a guy that's going to be adept yet coming out of the bullpen. I don't think. I mean that's not, that's not his strength, right? So I'm not surprised there does not mean he won't be on in a seven game series.
Starting point is 00:33:58 I think you can definitely see more pitchers in a seven game series than obviously in a five game series. Jack Dreyer, same reason. Not necessarily surprised about that. Super stoked that Henriquez is back. He's my reliever of the year. I don't care. He's just been so tremendous. and very underrated.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Heson Kim makes sense, I guess. I don't know. I mean, I feel badly for Alex Cole because he was on the roster of the entire season. He knows. You know, yeah. And also Ed and Paula, we know because he's been giving us really good at bats, the energy, those types of things.
Starting point is 00:34:31 So, I mean, again, you're going to piss off somebody, but hopefully these guys understand that they are a part of the big picture overall. And there will be, you know, they're part of the quest to get to three, but you only can take 26 guys. And with the depth that the Dodgers have and the luxury that they have, I get it. There's nothing that was like, oh, my God. You know, like how outrageous.
Starting point is 00:34:55 We had a feeling of what the 26 guys would look like. But as this team maintains, even from day one at spring training, it's a lot more than 26 guys on the everyday roster. It's a lot more than the 40 men on the 40-man roster. A lot more than the 60-plus people they have in that room. when they enter spring training. And the Dodgers do a fantastic job of preaching that, as you very well know, having been a part of so many of those early camelback ranch meetings there.
Starting point is 00:35:25 So I don't think anybody's upset. I think Alex Call is happy to be there, happy to be a part of the team in some capacity, hanging out with the boys. He still gets to eat good. He still gets to drink good along the way. And he still gets a ring. And, you know, he understands his role. I mean, he's a role player.
Starting point is 00:35:42 He's not a superstar. He understands that. A friend of the show, he's been on the show. Great guy to talk to. Great guy to, you know, kind of pick his brain. Listen, like I said, I say listen way too much. There's 26 spots, and that is it. He understands that his role is not in the NLDS.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Does not mean the CS and World Series are not on the table. We just don't know. It depends on who we match up against and what the needs are, health, all the things. So a couple of other super, not super chats, but chats I wanted to get to here. We do have one, another one from Nancy Brown. Oh, Nancy Brown. Sorry, wrong one. There we go.
Starting point is 00:36:18 There's from Nancy Brown. Yes, they did. The boys came to play. Love the focus. Love the grit. One and one. Ten to go. Let's do this.
Starting point is 00:36:25 LFG. I love you. Oh, she got a softball in there too, Nancy Brown. All right. So a couple of things in here. So Cousinism. I don't know how to say that. I'm probably saying it wrong.
Starting point is 00:36:34 Wanted to know what wine I was drinking. It's garbage. It's like Kim Crawford, Savanion Blanc. It's nothing exciting. Also wanted to know who is in. the The Nobody asked
Starting point is 00:36:44 about my twisted tea? How about Twisted tea sponsor us for God's sake? Yeah. Like a boy
Starting point is 00:36:50 up. I also wanted to know who was in the picture with me. Come on, man. That's the
Starting point is 00:36:54 late great Vince Scully. My man. The best guy in the whole world. So that's who there. That's who's there.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Did you see? I think it was yesterday. 10 years ago. Yeah. He said goodbye. Said goodbye for the last time
Starting point is 00:37:09 on the broadcast. It's still like, yeah, got Dusty in the room again. 10 years. It's insane to think. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:16 After 67 years in the booth and spending, you know, obviously your relationship was a lot different there with Vin. But you grew up with him. I didn't have an opportunity. I didn't grow up in Southern California. Yeah, with us. Special relationship with him.
Starting point is 00:37:32 What made, what made Vin so great was that, you know, he was family. He was a friend. Like, you spent over the summer, you spent each night, hanging out with your friend Vin Scully, who's going on in a tell you about what's going on in the game and tell you stories about these people, these players.
Starting point is 00:37:49 You know, obviously this booth we have now is fantastic. I love Joe Davis. I love Stephen Nelson. But, you know, to hear one more Vin Scully game. Like even, you know, we talked recently about the old, you know, No Mar 4 Plus One game and all of that. Here and Vinnie call that. And even getting some of the Charlie Steiner calling there is still like, oh, I miss you, Vin. We all miss Vin.
Starting point is 00:38:10 And final things, final two things before we get out. And by the way, my buddies are over live on all Dodgers. I'm going to join there. We'll keep the conversation going and all of that kind of stuff. But you knew it was coming, Riz. People saying Dodger Stadium was so empty. It was fucking hot. And a lot of people were under the concourse.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Yeah, it was 100 degrees. I, you know, Dodger fans have always for years and years and years. have been said to not show up until late. They leave early, all the things. I was a little surprised at the empty seats. I get it. It is 100-something degrees. But I will say this, too.
Starting point is 00:38:52 It wasn't because ticket prices were high. If you looked on Seatgeek, the Dodgers, the NLDS, had some of the best pricing. And let me say this, too, about the Dodgers organization, because I know everybody wants to talk about how much tickets are, and this, that, and the other. And I get that. But the Dodgers, to their credit, did what they could,
Starting point is 00:39:09 is they couldn't, they couldn't control the weather. They didn't choose the 1 p.m. Pacific start time, okay? The week goes wet. So they handed out water to every single person that came into the game, free water. So good for them. You know, they didn't have to do that. I understand they should do that, but a lot of, a lot of teams do not. So it's hot.
Starting point is 00:39:30 I get it. But you know what? No excuses tomorrow, guys, okay? Got a 5 p.m. start, an 8 p.m. start on the East Coast. Let's get there. Let's fill the stadium. Let's show the boys that we appreciate them and take game two. And then it's just one more.
Starting point is 00:39:45 One more. The last thing I want to say quickly, this, I'm going to talk shit about the Dodgers about this. $65 to park. No, just no, okay? That's done. While gas is, you know, $6, $7 a gallon right now. I saw over $7 today for a gallon of gas. And it's starting, like, it's really bad here too, not California bad.
Starting point is 00:40:09 But in Massachusetts, it started like, we're up to like six bucks. Like for here, that's like, what? But anyway, yeah, that's insane pricing. So do it like in the old days when you went to the drive-thru and you put 79 people in your trunk and try to get in. That's the way that you can squeeze the money. They'll know. It might drive you across the scale to see who's in there. But guys, we appreciate you hanging out with us.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Subscribe again. If you haven't done it, hit the thumbs up. Share with friends, all that kind of stuff. We'll be back tomorrow. Postgame. Dodgers be up. Two nothing in the series. Bye, guys.
Starting point is 00:40:38 We'll see you then. Lisa, tell them about our new show. We have a new podcast. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi Youanu.
