01:30 This was all part of the Dodgers big plan to make sure that there is no more salary cap talk. The Dodgers, the big bad Dodgers aren't in the world series. What up everybody and welcome to a live brand new episode of Dodgers territory on this post-game edition on October 15th, Alana Rizzo, Clint Piscius with you guys. Not a lot to talk about. First and foremost, congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers. not in a million years would have thought that the Brewers would have swept the Dodgers in the NLCS to get to their first World Series appearance since 1982. But give credit where credit is due. They were unbelievably good. They were good in every facet of the game.
02:30 And they made the Dodgers look silly. Pathetic offense throughout the entire series. Pitching, I think, was decent throughout. Although a wild ERA. that you can talk about momentarily. Congratulations to the Brewers. They're going to the World Series. It's going to be some, it's going to, wow, what a World Series. The Brewers and the Rays are the Brewers and the Guardians. Nobody would have sunk it.
02:55 Listen. I don't know what to say other than Dodgers stunk. They just stunk. I'll have a little fun here first saying this was all part of the Dodgers big plan to make sure that there is no more. salary cap talk. The Dodger, the big bad Dodgers aren't in the World Series. It is three of the
03:17 lower, mid-tier to lower-tier payrolls that are heading to the World Series. But yeah, first off the top, definitely. Congratulations. Milwaukee Brewers outplayed the Dodgers every single way. They out-managed the Dodgers, even when they, you know, there was like one kind of a flop, I guess, like one
03:40 chink in the armor and that was Adnerrieree yesterday and he was pulled very quickly by Pat Murphy. But yeah, big, big factor is you had, you had momentum for a second. Shohei Otani back in the lead off spot. Hits a dinger. Hit three run homer. It meant something. Points on the board, Riz did not score again. Yeah, I really felt like the Dodgers were going to win this game today. Like when I saw them warming up and I saw them coming out and all of the things, I was like, yeah, today's the day, right? Like I didn't know what, I mean, I was hopeful. Like I was always, I said yesterday, I will always support this team until they are mathematically out of it. Well, they're mathematically out of it.
04:22 They got swept. I mean, I never in a million years would have thought this. They were just completely outplayed. So when show hey, it's three run home run and it's four to one or four to nothing or whatever it was, four to one, I think. It's like, okay. I felt pretty good. about our chances. And they just keep battling back.
04:41 They keep punching back. I mean, David Hamilton, who when he was with the Boston Red Sox, was absolute garbage. Two for four today, a home run, two RBI, is a stolen base. That was his third of the postseason. Garrett Mitchell, one for four, a home run, which was his second of the postseason. He had the RBI.
04:59 Jake Bowers, if he's not the MVP, I don't know who is. My word. He has been ridiculous. And this was a guy that two years ago was going to quit baseball. His wife ends up getting pregnant. He's like, well, I guess I have to keep doing this because I need health insurance. And he has been the absolute NLCS MVP. I mean, he's just been ridiculous.
05:18 Like two unbelievably incredible at bats, like running up the pitch count, all of the things. Wow, that's just that this was, I'm shell shocked. I really am. Again, thank you to the Dodgers for an unbelievable year. Another year of incredible baseball all the way through. The dynasty is over. but the Dodgers deserve a lot of credit for even giving us an opportunity for a three-peat, you know? So I appreciate that.
05:46 But congratulations to the Brewers. They sweep the two-time defending World Series champions, another amazing comeback. They advanced to the World Series for the first time in 44 years. Yeah, that makes me uncomfortable, by the way, when they're saying 82 and it's 44 years ago. Yeah. Yeah. My sister was born in 82, and she's full. 44. So it's easy for me to do the math. It's insane. Yeah.
06:14 Yeah. No, just a tough game, tough series. Dodgers did not play their best. I don't think the Brewers even played their best. But again, they just had. But the thing is, Clint, they didn't need to. The Brewers could have shit the bed today. And they're like, well, that's fine. We still have three other chances to win a game. To a degree, you could almost say they did. I mean, the four runs there in the what was it, the third inning, you know, Dustin May gets got, and you assume at that point, you know, they are probably content with letting him eat this game, letting him pitch six innings, gentlemen sweep, Dodgers win this game, but they, the Brewers attack was relentless.
06:57 They did not give up, just chipping away, chipping away, eventually taking that lead. It was impressive. And, you know, the people here certainly are going to be upset when I say, you know, the brewers are a good team. It's a team worth watching. I would highly recommend that you root for the brewers in the World Series. I hope they win the whole thing. At this point, like, I hope they win the entire thing.
07:24 Yeah. Yeah. Some thoughts in the chat here, Mr. Anderson saying a dynasty is about consecutive World Series wins. We're still in the midst of a dynasty. Yeah, I mean, this still, you know, it would be massive to be the team, the first team in, you know, 30 some odd years, whatever it is, approaching 30 years to rattle off back to back to back world series wins, but it's still a team that has won
07:49 three World Series rings in six years. They're still equipped to come back and win next year with a lot of the same core. The assumption is that pretty quickly the offseason will kick off after the World Series because there's going to be about a month where some of these players can maximize their return. And then there's going to, for certain, during the CBA, whatever comes out of it, there's going to be changes in how much these players can earn. So Terek Scouble will be looking for that 400-milly very quickly, and whether he's back with the Dodgers, whether he didn't like this, and he didn't like the ending, whatever
08:29 it is. We got all of that. We got a whole off-season now. We got a bonus week of off-season content to eventually talk about. but yeah, you know, this club is not done. This was just a bad one, and the Brewers had an answer for literally everything the Dodgers were throwing at them. Anytime there was a good vibe, even there in the eighth inning, I mean, the one-out double from Kyle Tucker. I don't know if I would say jokingly, but I was like, I can't believe, you know, they have a guy at second.
09:04 And you're just like, there's no way that he's going to end up scoring. Or maybe it wasn't that. I think it was a lead off double. And then he gets the third and they couldn't do anything. It wasn't that. It was, or the triple, whatever it was. I was like, there's no way they're going to put another run on the board. It's very obvious.
09:19 They're not putting any more runs on the board in this game. So you kind of mentally check out for some of the names and some of the instances. But they had plenty of opportunities. Again, Brewers just had an answer. over and over and ah shit it's davy says pathetic but display was not their best effort far from it i mean i i don't i don't think it's effort it was it was not their best execution i never doubt the effort of these guys i really don't i just just the execution wasn't there the offense was so anemic and just gone um yeah it was just it was it was it was it was a pathetic execution
09:56 gabriel ccccccccccc uh... super chat 20 bucks we appreciate that so much um Dodgers deserved to get swept. Offense was truly pathetic. He's not wrong. Pissed away every scoring opportunity. Hats off to the Brewers until next season. If there will be one to take care, everybody, go, Dodgers. I mean, yeah, I mean, like, I think he really encapsulated everything we're feeling right now, right?
10:18 Like, it's like, I appreciate the Dodgers the season that they gave us. I'm respectful of the Brewers and what they did. I'm happy for my peeps over with the Brewers. Sophia Minert, obviously, he's a good friend of mine. She's a sideline reporter for them. and there's a lot of people over there that I appreciate. But I did not, in a million years, I never thought, I never, ever thought the Brewers would sweep the Dodgers.
10:41 I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies. Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind, and now got my own show. So if you're tired of lazy takes, if you want honest conversations, join us each week. Film Never Lies available on all TSN platforms in the IHeartRadio app. Lisa, we should tell them about our new show.
11:00 Oh my God, Lexi. We have a new podcast. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi Yuwanu. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa Di Giulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. I'm not going to get anywhere fighting. That is wild. I learned that about you today. Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business. And I've always always got something to say.
11:33 If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world. We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser. We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight.
11:52 Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Liar. Listen on the IHeart Radio app.
12:01 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I don't really care. Hey, it's J.O. from Laugh with Me, the podcast. So why would you choose Laugh with Me? Well, great question. Maybe you like comedy. Maybe you like sports. Maybe you like movies, ridiculous stories, terrible opinions,
12:19 questionable rankings, and a grown man somehow turning everyday life into a personal emergency. Or maybe you just want to hear from a podcast host who has survived bad bosses, angry customers, questionable career decisions and a pepper spray attack? Yeah, that's right. Other podcasts have hosts
12:35 with broadcasting degrees. Laugh with me has a survivor. I'm Jeremy Odom and every week I'm joined by comedians, friends, athletes, weirdos, experts, and occasionally, people who probably should have stopped answering my text. Authentic, raw, and just like you.
12:53 Just jokes, stories, arguments, sports, pop culture, and whatever happened to me this week. Listen to laugh with me. a podcast with Jeremy Odom on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What, two for 22 with runners in scoring position in this series. Just so many left on base. Yeah, I don't know what happened.
13:22 Like we were watching this game and you didn't see them, you didn't see them, there was no cohesiveness. There was no keep the line moving to this lineup this postseason. It was very weird. And, you know, Joe Davis brings up, you know, the fifth inning today, the way it bit the Yankees in the ass in 2024. I don't necessarily see the correlation there. Yeah, he's a storyteller. He can make that up all he wants.
13:48 But, you know, the Dodgers were just the outmatched team. And in that postseason, I think the Yankees were very much outmatched. I don't know. Maybe either he has something there. but yeah go spare 43 96 super chat 10 bucks from him thank you so much it hurts because i love the daughters as we all do i mean we do it will be okay eventually thank you lena clint thank you guys thanks for being here um yeah it was just insane like this was just a really garbage series like they just didn't look inspired the entire time um they just didn't have it and every time you think
14:21 all right you go up 4-1 or 4-0 whatever the hell it was 4-1 um you're thinking okay got a shot and i really did think that I really, really thought the Dodgers would win today. And the Brewers just kept fighting back. After our post game last night, the spirits are down. You're feeling crappy. And then I did a show on my All Dodger channel earlier today
14:45 because as I laid my head to bed last night and I woke up today, I felt good. I felt positive. I think I heard a lot of the things you would want to hear out of the clubhouse. And I think they did enough to win this game. in all of the ways that don't matter, you know, they had a big moment having Shohei, like Dave pulled the right lever at the start there in deciding to say, you know, fuck it, I'm putting Shohei back at the top of the lineup and kind of going back to the bread and butter that made it work over the last couple of years. Show Hey had been taking better swings, you know, particularly yesterday, putting in the work and all of that. You know, he was kind of pressed about it, didn't really have a very good answer as to why he's, he's like, oh, I just like the focus.
15:30 That's a, that's a, you know, just a throwaway line for Dave when he's talking about, I like the focus in a batter or whatever. But the reality, the compete. That's even more of a throwaway. That's a vintage Daveism right there. But yeah, no, they did the things they needed to do to win, and then the game continued on past the fourth or fifth inning, you know. I'm like I feel a little bit shell-shocked honestly I'm just like yeah is this serious like it's weird to have this like weird exit right it wasn't even it wasn't even competitive no like this series the NLCS wasn't even remotely competitive same as it was
16:11 last year you know the the Brewers uh they were we swept the Brewers last year and they're like they're shell-shocked like well turn around is for a play apparently yeah uh percatorious, if I'm getting that correct with a $20 super chat. We appreciate you. Says Brewers fan here. You guys should be proud back-to-back victories in the World Series. 24 years old. I've been waiting and praying for this since my childhood.
16:35 I'm crying and so happy. Good game all around. Love, LA. We appreciate that. We appreciate. We're only 24, though. You haven't been there in 44 years. Congratulations, honestly.
16:45 And I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Brewers organization. I love the fans there. I live there for three years. We were talking about that a few nights ago. Yeah. Yeah. Fantastic people. Like good fan base, like classy people.
16:59 Congratulations. Like I truly hope you win the entire thing. And, and, you know, again, with the brewers, too. It's like, it's not an organization that you hate at all. Like, you can't hate them. You know, Matt Arnold has put together a fantastic top to bottom of like the the organization, Mark Antenacio,
17:24 fantastic owner, very clearly wants to win, still has some budgetary restrictions. According to Bob Nightingale, Antonasio is the next commissioner in two years. I just read that yesterday. I was like, excuse me?
17:37 So we'll see about that. But apparently, I mean, I mean, I mean, take it for what it's worth with Nightingale and I love him, but sometimes he's like way off. Yeah.
17:47 But apparently Mark Antonacios, is in the running. He did the running for the next commissioner job. All right. Let's get into a couple more of the chats here. Michael with $1.99 at the start of the show early in the show. So it's fucking embarrassing. And I'll borrow a line from my buddy, Jeff Snyder, who says it's hard to be embarrassed
18:07 for other men playing baseball. But it was a pathetic effort. It was not a good effort at all by this club. I'm not embarrassed. I agree more with you. It is a shell shock. It is, what am I looking for? It hurts.
18:26 It definitely hurts, but you also know, like, they have won, and they're going to continue winning. They got beat by a better team. It's not like they lost to the Padres. It's not like they lost to a Giants team as well. You didn't lose to another, you know, rival or enemy in the league. They got beat by the best team in baseball. They won 103 games. They are a very good baseball.
18:48 ball team. We're not going to spend the entire time glazing the brewers. I understand people will get upset at you if you go guys be mad or whatever. I don't know. I'm going to throw shit. I'm not going to throw anything in here. But I will pop Nancy's $20 super chat on the screen. So thank you, Alana Clint and Katie, for a great year. No other team compares on to 2027. We appreciate Nancy for all of the support that she has given us. It's been a great year. Nancy, thank you. Yeah, let's see. We got Jay Riff with the $10 super chat. Absolutely brutal.
19:23 Thanks for doing a show tonight. Got entirely outplayed by Milwaukee All-Series. What differences do you guys see in the roster heading into 2027? I mean, that's a whole other conversation. We're going to have a lot of off-season talk about that. Clinton and I and Katie will be doing shows two, three times a week. We have plenty of time to discuss the differences, but I will tell you, I think there's going to be a lot of wholesale changes with this team next year.
19:46 I think this team looks very. very, very different next year than it does this year. So J. Rift 93, appreciate the support, certainly. We'll get into that. We've got a lot of time because we're not going anywhere. We're not going anywhere. We're going to be doing shows all off season long. To tease, you and I, when we're watching that final out,
20:04 I was like, here we are probably witnessing Kike Hernandez's final at bat in a Dodger uniform. Poor Miguel Rojas in what was likely his final major league game. Didn't even get in at bat. Didn't even get in. Didn't even get in. Oh, he was in. He made a play. And then he was pinch hit for, which brings me to the things I can complain about a little bit, which I will. But first, everybody sit tight.
20:31 I do have some more things to say. It's not all on Dave, even slightly. But I got some more things to say about Dave. But first, we got to hear a word from our friends over at Fowell Territory. 22:12 I want to ask you a little bit You know I have a really hard time criticizing the players and criticizing Dave because I know what they do is so incredibly difficult because I know I could never do what they do. But there has been a lot of conversation in not only game three, but also in this game today, Clint, about some curious moves. And you were very respectful but critical of what Dave did in game three. And I want your opinion on any moves in game four that you also questioned. Yeah, I mean, I'll start at the top. You know, we saw a very different looking
22:48 lineup. I liked it, if I'm being honest. I like Shohay back at the top of the lineup. I like going show, Mookie, Freddie, Will Smith. And you know what? Those guys proved to be kind of some difference makers at the top of the lineup. And then Tucker in there, you know, pretty much went with what you would expect to be your A lineup for the first, what do we got there, six hitters. But then we get to the Miggie Row and Kike Hernandez part. You know, we talked about it. We obviously
23:16 had a lot of, we have a lot of love for Kikei Hernandez. We believe in Kikei Hernandez and we had had a lot of positive, fantastic things to say about him in that game three of the NLDS. But it became pretty quickly here in this series that the swing was not good. And Dave kept going to him. And I understand Dave believing in his guy. You've got some equity right now in your, on your hand with the three rings where you could be like, all right, you know what, I can, I can afford to let this guy figure it out. But Max Muncie was great. Max also kind of looked overmatching the series.
23:57 You saw him get real mad at himself. You know, he had a first pitch, you know, big swing on something. He takes a time out. He was upset at himself, locked in, end up shortening up, and getting a single over terrain at second base. But over the course of the season, Muncie was actually, I think he had reverse splits. He was very good against left-handed pitching over the course of the regular season.
24:23 And he was better in this series. Kike Hernandez was really bad against left-handed pitching, really bad against all pitching this year. Regular season, we throw out those numbers when it comes to Kike Hernandez, obviously. But he did not look like himself in this post season. Nobody did, for sure. And that's where it's really hard. It's not any one guy and none of it is on Dave. But if I'm going to nitpick, if I'm going to critique the Miguel Rojas, Kike Hernandez
24:54 situation, and Dave had said before the game, like the figure, he figures that Max Muncie's going to factor into the game pretty quickly up to the point where he is, you know, inserted in the game for Miguel Rojas before Miggy Rojas takes his first at bat. So the decision there was something, obviously, the biggest, decision was leaving Glasnow in too long. Glassnow was cruising. Absolutely. He was fantastic in this game until he was not, you know, got hit around a little bit there after facing the lineup one time through. They get two runs. Dodgers still have a four-two lead. Okay, you could work with that. He tells Ken Rosenthal, your colleague tells him, hey, I think he's probably going to
25:40 get one batter here in the fifth. Then he proceeds to leave him in. I understand the why he's still cruising, but as soon as you walk terrain, you got to be ready to pull, well, not terrain, Freelick. As soon as you walk Freelich, you got to be ready to go to Vesia, whatever it is, whoever is going to take down that inning, you got to be ready to go that route. And he did not. And then ultimately, the Brewers tie the game in that situation. David Hamilton is the guy who ties it there.
26:10 No, not David Hamilton. It was somebody else, but I forgot. No, Mitchell. Well, I was Mitchell. Mitchell. It's just, it's insane. It's like, this whole thing is just insane. I think I think we look spoiled because we're like, we're so like flabbergasted that this even happened. Meanwhile, the brewers are like, you guys aren't paying attention.
26:31 Well, I mean, it's hard to always recall all of those little things, you know. We get paid to do this. I don't get paid enough to remember every single thing without looking at it in that part of my notes. Also, my brain's not that good sometimes. It was the lead off, not the lead off walk. It was the, I just had it. Where did you go? You get the right-handed battery.
26:51 He gets that guy, the lead off the fifth, and he walk Freelick, Freelick with the stolen base. You get the Hamilton RBI single, and then he exits for Phillips from there. And then, you know, like, at that point, they already have all the momentum. Like, they're right there. It's a four-three ball game. So, again, I question what kind of changed, and I'm sure Dave's talking about it right now, what kind of changed his mind to leave Glasnow in.
27:15 I mean, he's probably going to say something similar to what he said last night about Blake Snell. And the final thing, and I'll be quick on this, why would you leave? You have everybody else kind of ready to go. Why do you need to get three innings out of Edwin Diaz? Out of Edwin Diaz. I mean, he hadn't pitched. He hadn't pitched in six months.
27:34 So maybe that's why. Maybe because he had a fresh arm. I don't know. He had a fresh arm. We had a fresh arm. We were wondering why we had it through. Right, but we were wondering why we hadn't seen him all on OCS. Well, there you go.
27:44 Yeah. Well, I mean, it was on the third inning, and it was the nine-hole batter. Like, he was fantastic, but you have Roki, you had Brock Stewart. You have insert other names here. You had some arms available. Edgaro Henriquez. Why decide to leave him out there to dry again? That was just kind of where I'm at.
28:06 Not all on Dave, because you could go back a year ago. and all of those decisions probably would have worked out. Like they did. It just wasn't their series. Yeah. And that's, they just, they were flat. It was just, it wasn't, it wasn't their time. Yeah.
28:22 Yeah. I mean, I can truly appreciate the last two world series. Like, I mean, to get three in a row is pretty special. This is a special team. This is a special organization. We are wildly spoiled. We just got outplayed every single game. We got out played.
28:38 We got out hit. we got not as I wouldn't even say out pitched we got out hit we got out managed we got all of it to a degree got out pitch as you mentioned that note earlier uh dodger starters 18 innings pitch 13 runs allowed 16 hits eight walks six and a half a r and that was supposed to be the linchpin of this it didn't it didn't feel that way though it didn't feel like it was the dodgers starting staff or dodgers pitching in general it just felt like the the offense was so anemic you just couldn't get anything going. You couldn't piece anything together.
29:12 Yeah. And that's what it was. And that will be the story of this NLCS. The Better Team 1. That's just a plain fact. The better team won. We'll take a few more super chats and then then we'll sign off again.
29:27 Like Alana, like you mentioned, there's a lot more off-season talk, all of that kind of stuff. But it's just was not great. Was not a great particularly great showing here. I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies.
29:44 Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind, and now I've got my own show. So if you're tired or lazy takes, if you want honest conversations, join us each week. Film Never Lies available on all TSN platforms in the IHeart Radio app. Lisa? We should tell them about our new show. Oh my God, Lexi. We have a new podcast.
30:03 It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi You Want You. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa Di Giulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all.
30:18 I'm not going to get anywhere fighting. That is wild. I learned that about you today. Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business, and I've always got something to say. If men were just honest about this, There would be so much more peace in the world.
30:37 We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser. We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me.
30:57 Don't lie to me. Liar. Listen on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I don't really care. Hey, it's J.O. from Laugh with Me, the podcast. So why would you choose Laugh with me? Well, great question. Maybe you like comedy.
31:14 Maybe you like sports. Maybe you like movies, ridiculous stories, terrible opinions, questionable rankings, and a grown man somehow turning everyday life into a personal emergency. Or maybe you just want to hear from a podcast host who has survived bad bosses, angry customers, questionable career decisions, and a pepper spray attack? Yeah, that's right. Other podcasts have hosts with broadcasting degrees. Laugh with me has a survivor.
31:39 I'm Jeremy Odom, and every week I'm joined by comedians, friends, athletes, weirdos, experts, and occasionally people who probably should have stopped answering my text. Authentic, raw, and just like you. Just jokes, stories, arguments, sports, pop culture, and whatever happened to me this week. Listen to Laugh with me, a podcast with Jeremy Odom, on the I-Heart Radio app, full podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. We got 499 from Chava 59. Says, yes, the Brewers are a really good team.
32:12 But to not even win one game, it's embarrassing. Yeah, I would, I would expect this team to win one. A thousand percent. I thought it was going to be way more competitive. I thought the Dodgers would win. I thought the Dodgers would win in six. And I was like, well, it's not going to be six. Maybe it's in seven.
32:27 And to get swept, I never would have thought that in a millionaires. Do you, do you, how much do you put in the home? crowd. The attendance fewer than 50,000 at Dodger Stadium tonight. It was bad. I will always defend L.A. and I will always defend Dodger fans because I know how difficult it is to get
32:47 in that stadium and out of that stadium and the traffic and all the things. But to not even be able to sell out any NLCS game, even though it's during the week. I mean, it's not the ticket prices. You can't blame the ticket prices because they were very, very reasonable.
33:03 It costs more to park. I know. It was like 75 to park and 71 for a ticket. It was insane. And again, but the parking thing all goes to McCourt, right? So the parking is not the Dodgers. It's not all.
33:18 I know, but he's still getting a lot of that. The courts are. He gets a percentage. Yeah, it wasn't good. Like the attendance wasn't good. The vibe wasn't good. Maybe they were thinking like,
33:28 well, we're just going to spend our money, let's just spend it on the World Series. Well, you know what? We're not there. year. So, yeah, and there were signs, and we'll talk about this in a proper postmortem. There were signs, again, that this team had some holes.
33:42 Offensively, they struggled. Runners from scoring position at times, they were terrible. They were just absolutely atrocious through July and August. I remember us talking about them. Not even scoring 100 runs in the month of August or barely scoring 100 runs in the month of August where, you know, like that's just not the Dodgers. Usually they're a buck 50, something like that. to be at like 103 was just wild.
34:07 They had their issues. And then you compound it with Mookie's swing or sorry, Shohay swing being bad and, you know, until it wasn't. And, you know, Freddie not, Mookie and Freddie, flashbacks of 23 there with those guys not hitting. Just throwing that out there. It was just, it was 300 JGW brought that up as well. Like, you know, this was a lot like the Arizona series a few years ago.
34:31 It was just. It wasn't pretty. They just, everybody, everybody was flat. Everybody was flat. They just seemed lost and not uninspired. I don't think it was a lack of effort. I don't think it was a lack of want. I think it was just a lack of execution.
34:44 And they just were absolutely outplayed. The brewers just had everything going. Yeah. We'll rattle off the final superchets we have here and then we will sign off. Not sure when we're going to do our next bit of content, but it will be soon. So guys, make sure you're subscribed to the channel and all that kind of stuff. so you can know what we're doing and how Katie Wu mixes in with us and all that kind of stuff. Smurphy, Francisco's saying, season on the line and he pinch hits.
35:11 Edmund for Muncie, that's beyond excusable. What's funny is I didn't mind that too much because of, what, it was still Ashby at that point. That lefty going against Muncie, months did not look particularly good in this game. Edmund did not look good in the series at all, in this postseason at all. Throw it on the pile. Yeah, I mean, there's so many, there's so many layers of what went wrong. It's not one person. It's, it was the collective.
35:39 It's like we always talk about how you're not, one person isn't bigger than the sum. This was the collective. This was the sum. Everybody stunk. They, they did. Frackman 55. There we go. 499 says our Dodgers beat ourselves without the Brewers doing anything.
35:54 Offense never woke up from game one. Can't count how many times been on base and pop-ups. And then also strikeouts are double plays. Double plays. It's the first inning in this game. The double plays killed us. And it wasn't just a lack of capitalizing with runners and scoring position in the postseason. The Dodgers did that all season long.
36:13 They led the league in not capitalizing with runners and scoring position in the regular season. So that, you know, kind of trickled over into the postseason. And then a couple that with hitting into double plays and couple that with the offense being completely anemic. Like that's just not going to, I can't. It's not going to get it done. No. Final super chat. I will pop up here.
36:37 There's one from a Sergio, but I think he's, I don't know if, you know, I'll pop up Sergio. We got $2 from Sergio on. I don't know if he's crying because he's crying or crying because the Dodgers lost. He's wearing a Dodger hat. So I think it's because the Dodgers lost. So I'm glad I popped up Sergio's cap there. But the final one, also from Frackman, 499, giving you some love in the chat.
36:56 Hurts to get swept at home. Longtime Dodger fan, Alana, you're still my favorite sportscaster and is actively hitting on here. No, I appreciate that. Thank you. I appreciate you guys. I love you guys. I love the Dodgers very much. And Clinton and I do, obviously, Katie is doing the work right now. But we're going to have great offseason content. As always, subscribe to the channel. We appreciate it very much. So you always know when we're coming on. Of course, Dodgers Territoryshop.com supports us as well. And we'll figure this out, right? Like, we're going to have a lot of post-mortem shows. And yeah, this sucks. This is not what we envisioned. But be thankful that we're
37:32 We have a team that we think can win the World Series every single year. So $2 from Hector Puente, 90, 77. Changes need to be made must get younger. It's going to, the complexion and the look of this team next year will be very, very different. So we'll talk all about that. Clint and I and Katie will be all over it. We appreciate you all season long, but we're not going anywhere. Have a good night, guys.
37:53 Take a deep breath. We appreciate you. We'll talk to you soon. Have a drink. Have a drink. Bye. about our new show. We have a new podcast. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi Youanu. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa DiGulio, the old one, which means we have
38:19 wildly different references, occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business.
