What if you asked two different people the same set of questions?
Even if the questions are the same, our experiences can lead us to drastically different answers.
I'm Minnie Driver, and I set out to explore this idea in my podcast,
and now, Minnie Questions is returning for another season.
We've asked an entirely new set of guests our seven questions, including Jane Lynch, Delaney Rowe, and Cord Jefferson.

Seven questions, limitless answers.
First date follow-up.
Any first date that involves spandex,
chafing, and mild bruising
is a success in my book.
Am I right?
Sure.
Yeah.
Am I right?
This is how I picture Christine's first date going.
Wow. This is really great, isn't it?
All this wind and stuff in our hair. And look at us getting some exercise while we're on a date,
getting sweaty, but not doing bad stuff. Doing good stuff for our hearts and our health.
We're helping the environment too by decreasing our carbon footprint. By the way, what's the size of your carbon footprint?
I'm just joking.
It's a fun day.
Aren't we the best people ever because we're using our legs instead of gasoline?
Oh, my God.
In other words, Christine's on the phone today for a first day follow-up, and her date probably
involved all of that because they went on a bike ride together.
Doesn't that sound fun?
That's bike ride music, by the way.
That is exactly the music that plays in your head whenever you're riding a bike.
Yeah, I like it. And it's about all you can do right now.
Shit. Oh, biking. Ow.
Yeah, ow. My butt.
Yeah, it hurts. Christine, what's up? How are you?
Hi, I'm good. How are you?
Good. Are you a little less chafed than when you went on your date today?
Just a little.
Right.
But I've been biking since, so, you know.
You said that you went biking with this dude.
We'll find out about that in a second.
But how did you meet him, first of all?
Okay, I work as a barista in a coffee shop.
Okay.
He's been coming in for a while, like for a couple of months.
And we've been kind of flirting back and forth, you know,
giving him a free coffee here and there.
And, you know, we got to talking.
Okay, so you hit on one of your customers, basically.
No.
Or was he hitting on you?
Who was hitting on who?
Well, it was kind of mutual, you know?
We were just kind of flirting with each other.
All right.
Probably quite frowned upon, isn't it, in the industry?
Well, he's not working there,
so our employees are, you know, forbidden, but not customers.
Okay, yeah, I didn't know if you'd get kicked out of the barista's union for flirting with a customer.
When is it one of those, like, Q stories where you're like, what name should I put on your cup?
And he's like, your phone number.
Wow, and is that the first time you've ever done that with a customer coming in before?
Yeah, actually it is.
It's the first time I've ever done with a customer, but he's just so friendly and cute.
Just, you know.
Okay.
So how did your date go?
Well, I thought it went good.
I mean, we went bike riding and, you know, we didn't, we're not one of those people that, you know, hog up the lanes and follow traffic and everything.
But we had a really good time.
We sat and we talked about, you know, just getting to know each other, movies, podcasts, et cetera, et cetera.
Did you guys bond about cycling before you decided to go out on a bicycle date?
Well, we didn't really bond about it.
We talked about it, but we didn't, you know.
Yeah.
Because you work at the coffee place,
and he's coming in there probably on Saturdays
when he's about to go on a bike ride
or coming back from a bike ride,
and he's in his spandex, and you're just like, ooh.
Yeah, and he's hot.
Yeah, look at that booty.
Yeah, I was just going to say,
did you check his booty out?
Yeah, look at that booty.
So how did it end?
Oh, no, his rear end is really good.
No, I said, how did it end?
Oh, how did the date end?
There wasn't any kissing or anything.
We just kind of like said, I had a really great time and I got to get back to work because my shift was starting.
So I'll see you, you know, at the shop.
Okay.
All right.
Wow.
And that was it?
No call back?
Nothing after that?
No, I texted him once
and I said maybe we should get together.
But he never, he just ghosted me.
He never called back or anything.
Has he come into the coffee shop?
No.
Haven't seen him since then either.
That's not a good sign.
Yeah, so definitely something is up.
And you can't think of any reason why he's not calling you back at all?
No, not really.
I mean, there was no, you know, vibe or anything.
I thought we got a long break.
Okay, well, play a song, come back, and then call him and see if we can find out why he's not hitting you up.
And your first date follow-up right after this.
It's the Jubal Show on Hits 106.1.
First date follow-up.
I think I figured it out. What? I think I know why Christine, who's on the phone for a First date follow-up. I think I figured it out.
What?
I think I know why Christine, who's on the phone for a first date follow-up right now,
isn't getting a call back.
Why?
Because she met this dude, right?
Jonah is his name.
Uh-huh.
At a coffee shop.
She's a barista.
He was a customer.
They struck up a conversation and ended up going out cycling.
Classic love story.
Christina, were you rude to him about cycling?
Are you one of those cyclists?
Like, you know, was he not fast enough?
An evil cyclist. Yeah.
Was that it, Christina? Oh, no.
He was great. Okay, well, I just picture
maybe that's what you did. You know, you're yelling at him
or you're yelling at the other traffic like,
this is my road, too!
Oh, no. Oh, my God, no.
Okay, and you didn't beast on him cycling?
Like, leave him in the dust and you didn't beast on him cycling, like leave him in the dust,
and you didn't know where you were for a while?
No, we just kept right up together.
Okay.
Do you ride a regular bicycle, or do you ride a unicycle while you juggle?
I don't know why.
I just, you sound like a happy person, so I pictured you on a unicycle juggling,
but I guess not.
Okay.
I probably could if I knew how, but I don't.
All right.
Just to remind everybody though,
they did meet because she works as a barista at the coffee shop and he's a
regular customer.
They went cycling.
She said they had a great time at the end of the date.
No hug,
no kiss,
nothing like that.
He hasn't called her back though.
And he hasn't been back into the coffee shop.
So definitely he's avoiding you.
Something's off.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't want to make the same mistake again if I go out with somebody else.
And besides, I really like him, so I thought maybe, you know.
Yeah, you said before.
You said before his rear end looked great in those spandex shorts.
You know what's great as well about what you're doing?
A lot of people that call up for this don't really acknowledge that there's something that might be wrong with them.
That's true.
That's true, too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So good for you for taking, you know, responsibility.
A lot of times people are like, well, he's not calling me back. Clearly he's true. Yeah. So good for you for taking, you know, responsibility. A lot of times people are like, well, he's not
calling me back. Clearly he's gay.
Well, I'm going to dial his phone number right now and see
if we can figure it out for you, okay?
Okay, thanks. Alright, hang on.
Hello?
Hi, I was looking for Jonah.
This is he.
Hey, Jonah, how are you?
This is Jubal from The Jubal Show.
Jubal, Jubal, the Jubal guy?
Yes, Jubal, Jubal, the Jubal guy.
I didn't know you were still on the radio.
I thought you quit. No, no. That's a rumor.
Actually fired and now back on the radio over here on Hits 106.1. So you obviously haven't
heard the new radio show. I have not. No. Okay. Well, it consists of me. You already
know me. Jubal Jubal the Jubal guy. My hot ass wife, Alex Freyash. Good morning. Oh,
hey, from the podcast and stuff. Good morning. Good morning.
Yes. And English Evan. Hello.
Good morning, you guys.
So the name of the show is The Jubal Show
and we do a segment called The First Date Follow-Up.
That's where if you go out on a date with somebody and
end up not calling them back after, they can
email us to get you on the phone and find out
what happened. Okay.
Okay. And we got
an email about you from someone you went on a
little bicycle ride with you like cycling it sounds like you know I'm
talking about are you bicycling with every woman on the planet by the way, Jonah, how old are you? Oh, all right. I know. I know.
But I like older ladies.
Okay.
All right.
Okay.
Yes.
Okay.
I'm in my late 30s.
All right.
I've dated women, you know, up to their late 50s before.
Oh, so the age is like a positive thing.
It's not the age gap that bothered you.
It's something else.
Definitely not the age gap.
I've been referring to her as Creepy Christine
to all of my friends.
Creepy Christine?
Okay.
Oh, no.
Why?
Okay.
So here's the deal, right?
I've been going into her coffee shop for a while.
She's always in a great mood.
Okay.
And, you know, I like to cycle.
She told us about that.
She said that the date seemed great.
Yeah, she said there was nothing wrong.
That's actually a little frightening.
Yeah, why do you call her Creepy Christine?
So we get down to the water and we start talking, you know, And she just starts going off on this like true crime murder rant is the best way I can describe it.
Well, a lot of people are into this sort of like movies and documentaries and things like that.
So what do you mean by that?
No, for sure. For sure.
And, you know, I get the interest there.
But I mean, she listens to numerous podcasts.
She started to go into all of this stuff about the summer of Sam.
And then...
The son of Sam, you mean?
Son of Sam?
Son of Sam, the murderer?
Son of Sam.
Yeah.
Okay.
So you're not very schooled on your serial killers, are you?
Not only all of that. Okay. She went as far as to pull up photos from her phone of the Zodiac killer murders.
Oh, wow.
The actual murders.
The actual murder photos.
How did she get those?
I don't know where she found them.
Well, you said on her phone, like in her camera roll.
She didn't go to Google.
No, no, no, no, no.
This was on her phone. Saved.
The deep dark web.
Sounds like it. So she actually had these crime
scene photos just ready to go. That is kind of
creepy. Yeah. Ready to go.
And there seemed like a lot more
but she had to get to work
and I had to get
out of there.
That's a little creepy
on the first date.
However, I mean, serial killers and their minds and all that stuff is so
interesting. It is to a lot of people, but
on the first date is really, really weird.
Definitely is. Alright, so that's why you don't want to
see her again.
Yeah, I mean, would you guys want to?
I'd be
hesitant. Yeah, I think I would have questions.
Well, not to
creep you out anymore, Jonah,
but Christine is actually on the other line listening
and wants to talk to you.
Christine, are you there?
Yes, I'm here.
Hi, Jonah.
Hi.
Hi.
Seriously creeped you out?
The pictures kind of were a little creepy.
It's just that I really, you know, I like to try to figure out what people are thinking or what's making them do what they do.
Just surprised that my murder album scared you so much to me again.
Did you say murder album? What? Well, see, yeah, it's the fact that you call it a murder album that makes me not want to go out with you anymore.
Christine, you have a whole album on your phone that you call a murder album?
Well, yeah, you know, like I said, I enjoy studying these people.
And, you know, I'm trying to figure out what's in their
heads.
Can I ask how many pictures
are actually in this murder album?
Good question.
Not that many, but I have a lot.
I mean, it's intriguing to me, that's all.
Well, in that case,
Jonah, I want to ask,
would you like to go on a second date with Christine?
We will pay for it.
No, I certainly do not want to be alone with that woman.
All right, Christine.
Screw that.
I don't even want to see him.
I mean, what kind of, you know, he's so small-minded that he's, what is he like, cartoon?
Well, maybe it's just something that he doesn't want to talk to you about all the time, you know?
Well, we don't have to talk about it all the time.
He could just say, I don't want to talk about it.
Is Jonah still there?
Jonah, are you still there?
I'm still here.
I'm surprised you're still here.
So you're sure that you don't want to go out with Christine again?
I think I'm pretty sure, guys.
All right.
You're even willing to risk not getting free coffee from her anymore?
Yeah.
I've found a new coffee shop.
