Just bring some all-black dudes, like we all wearing all black, so we sneaking out the cabin at night. You don't be seen in the light though. Running across to the girls' cabin. Listen, brother.

Here's what's cracking in the arena today. The Thunder advanced to the finals for the first time since 2012. What message did OKC send to all the people who said they had a 0% chance of winning
Starting point is 00:03:06 the chip? We will discuss. The Wolves were eliminated in the Western Conference Final for the second straight season. Would Ant-Man and his squad need to take the next step? In the Eastern Conference Final, shift back to the Garden with Indiana holding a 3-1 lead over New York. Will it be Pacers and 5, or can the Knicks keep their season alive? But before we get into all that, as always, the show is brought to you by Underdog. Go ahead download the app, use promo code Gil, get up to a thousand
Starting point is 00:03:29 dollars in bonus cash plus a special pick-up. It is the Eastern Conference Finals, game five tonight. So you know Gil has some picks up in his partner pack on the Underdog app. Let us take a look if we can please. OGN and OB hired 2.5 blocks of steals. Deuce McBride lowered 2.5 first quarter points. Uh oh, okay, you threw some WNBA in there, good, I see you, we knew you was a fan. Yeah, I just swung a little bit. Deuce Becker's hired 19.5 points in rebounds.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Also got Angel Reese, fastest player in WNBA history to 500 points, 500 rebounds. Hired 11.5 rebounds in their game. Yeah. I like it, okay. I wanted another one that's been trending, but it ain't. Oh, that one.
Starting point is 00:04:08 That was smart. Thunder Dog was smart. Thunder Dog was smart. Hey, that's funny. Yeah, yeah. No, no, no, not gonna lie. It is hilarious. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:19 And it is probably a lot of promotion that they're getting, even though it's kind of like a negative But it is promotion that is part of all of that's going on Sometimes you got to be laughed at for people to actually watch. Would you care to share it with the audience? Yeah No, I guess but What no, I'll back their placing bets and I guess but
Starting point is 00:04:52 They're placing bets and hire Laura on Angel Reese missing her first attempt I Think it's like six. I don't know how many games straight it is, but It's fucked up but it's funny because Yeah It's fucked up. But it's funny because Yeah, her layup package is crazy. People sitting on the end of the couch They're like, wait a minute, here it goes, here it goes! Yeah! So was it the one other day, was it a shot of tip? That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:16 One day to us, cause she's like, hold on. That's crazy bro. How's everybody else? That's a good bet. It's funny, but it's like damn, that's the show. Higher or lower? We do higher or lower. I'm going people are betting and then people are taking the higher or lower and the fantasy side. Higher or lower?
Starting point is 00:05:33 It's funny. I mean, if I'm her, I'm hot, then there's motherfuckers out there. Why me? Watch, the next time she plays, you're going to make sure she makes it. There's been six games though. I'm going to stop. Watch the next time she plays you gonna make sure she Would be the NBA guy that you would you would take that same lower on It would have been Rudy, but he definitely I know but he gets kind of like Definitely taking that bit. Yeah, oh yeah Rudy one for yesterday. I know that's why I said it.
Starting point is 00:06:05 He gets a dunk, so it kind of like, sacre bleu. What about now? Who's out of Indiana and New York? Timiss? Yeah. First shot tonight? Diabolical? Cat.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Mitchell Robinson. Or British. No. Oh, and speaking of nicks, fuck Josh Hart too, or British. Oh, and speaking of Knicks, fuck Josh Hart too, by the way. Damn. Yeah. Let it be known. I feel you on that one, I feel it. That one's good.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Oh, hold on. He won her the other day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So my picks the other day, right? Oh, yes. Yes. Yeah, you get a little- He's 24 and a half. You get a legit one. Points, rebounds and assists. With 24. I've seen that. Motherfucker needed one point one rebound or one assist for the rest of this
Starting point is 00:06:57 motherfucker fouls out. That's what we need to hit. Jaylen Brunson also betrayed me, can you imagine? Can you imagine if you seen Josh Howard after that? Like just right after that game and he didn't get Ken number. I was like, this is my mom. I was like, you were constantly out, like for real. Like, come on man. We was all rooting for you, Josh. It's like you fell away though, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:07:19 One of anything. It's like, is that Hattie be sitting there like this? Like one of anything. Yeah. Like it ain't like, it was like way off. Yeah, yeah. Where I could be like, all right, I get it. With time left.
Starting point is 00:07:28 With time left. I'm gonna go get this. And he didn't start, but I'm doing great. Like, he ain't like. Just imagine seeing him right now. Hattie had it at halftime. Yes, yes. You just say it, you're like, what's up, man?
Starting point is 00:07:40 And people was questioning Hattie, you was like, I'm like, nah, he gon' be at that. Get it done. You're like, I got like, you know, he gonna get it done. I got four, five minutes left and you filing out. Are you doing this shit on purpose? Yes, man. You knew where you were. So, Gil, we asked the chat if they were riding or fading

Starting point is 00:10:38 Sound out the big words. Yeah, it was just we all wrote. Sound them out. We know you can't. You can't read. Not today. No, I'm just saying. No, not today. Not today. As if y'all want to, you know, just. It was just we all wrote but down the mountain. We know you can't That's the main part is just happy birthday all extra should don't even worry about that Ronnie and Cedric also
Starting point is 00:11:05 All right, well, let's keep this they. We have a lot of basketball to get into Thunder entered game five one win away from the NBA finals The wolves blew the Thunder out in game three to secure their only win of the series Lost game four by just two points as they were unable to complete a late comeback in game four Ant-Man took 13 shots for the second time in the series. Would he look to be more aggressive? And for the Thunder how how would SJ follow up a career high 40 point game back at the crib? So after dominating games one and two at home, OKC was in the driver's seat entering this game
Starting point is 00:11:33 and the MVP kept them rolling. Let's take a look at the highlights if we can please, palo. The Wolves scored the first bucket of this game, a three from Julius Randall. That was the only time they would hold the lead for the entire game. OKC defense was suffocated from the very start, holding the Wolves to three for 20 shooting in the first quarter, a diabolically nasty 15%.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Offensively, the Thunder got off to a hot start with SJ leading the way as usual. He had 12 points in the first quarter on five for seven shooting. He assisted or scored on 24 of the 26 points they scored in the period. Thunder led 26 to 9 at the end of the first quarter. The nine points was the lowest for the Wolves in any quarter in their franchise history. Second quarter was more of the same with OKC extending the lead to 33 points at halftime. That's the largest halftime lead in Thunder playoff history. Wolves actually did out score the Thunder in the third quarter but were only able to cut the lead to 26 after that frame was over.
Starting point is 00:12:26 About halfway into the fourth quarter, the OKC starters were subbed out, received a standing ovation from the crowd. But let's look at some more of this action. Look at this team. Do you know that there's people in the world that gave them a 0% chance? That is wild. A 0% chance of winning a chance that they were too young. Did not have faith. And this man right here, Jalen Williams, all NBA, all defense, all star, SGA doing his thing, rocking his signature converse. Can I have this dance?
Starting point is 00:13:02 Meanwhile, just got worse. That's the MVP. Zero percent chance of winning the chip heading into this postseason. But like I said, about halfway in the fourth quarter, OKC starters subbed out but not before Ted Holmgren did that. The Wolves are eliminated one round short of the NBA Finals for the second straight season in the Thunder Advance to their first final since 2012 when the KD Russ Harden led squad faced off with the Heedles. Here's a look at what the stat sheet looked like for the Wolves. Ant-Man about to be more aggressive than he was.
Starting point is 00:13:43 He scored 19 points on seven for 18 shooting. OKC defenses there's a lot of credit for giving him trouble in the series. Holding Ant Man under 20 points in three of the five games. Julius Randall had 24 points on eight of 14 shooting. He was four for six from three. A game was mostly out of hand and the Thunder defense was focused on Ant.
Starting point is 00:14:00 And after combining 66 points in a huge game for Jaden McDaniel, Dante DiVincenzo, Nikhil Alexander-Walker, 11 combined points in a huge game for Jayden McDaniel, Dante DiVincenzo, Nikhil Alexander-Walker, 11 combined points in this one including zero from Shea's cousin Nikhil Alexander-Walker. Rudy Gobert had two points and five rebounds and Nasri had 11 points. Thunder Trio, SGA, Jaylen Williams and Chet Holmery combined for 95 points. The most by Thunder Trio in playoff game since moving to OKC in 2008-2009. playoff game since moving to OKC in 2008-2009. With 34 points in game five and averages of 31.4 points, eight assists and five rebounds
Starting point is 00:14:29 and one point eight steals per game in the series, Shay Gilders Alexander was named the Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP. After the game he made it clear that the Thunder don't plan on stopping now. Obviously, happy for the moment but like this isn't our goal. This isn't the end of the road. This isn't, there was no like special conversation. It was just, just keep getting better. One more series to try to go in.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Keep getting better. One more series to try to go in. What is the name of the trophy? The Magic Johnson. Western Conference Finals MVP. Named after Irvin Magic Johnson, the man who brought a movie theater to the hood in Los Angeles with unlimited strawberry soda refills. Starbuck. Unlimited. He had the Starbucks. He had the TGI.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Limited strawberry soda. In the Lidera Center. Turned up. When was it named up? When was it named up? I think a couple years ago. Michael Jordan in the East, right? Yeah. Okay, E. Lee game.
Starting point is 00:15:32 Larry Bird and Magic. Urban Magic Johnson. Choose your words wisely. I'm going to choose it exactly how I've... So when I said they've been ruining people's history because of the same three people, the same three people. Who are those three, Gil?
Starting point is 00:15:55 Just as a reminder. Magic, no one's gonna be the best point guard ever. It's hard. No one's gonna be the best shooting guard or player ever because of Jordan. And no one's going to get three MVPs in a row because of Bird. So all since then, everybody's been taken out so they wouldn't do this.
Starting point is 00:16:16 And this is what they do is they try to submit them more in history by naming trophies after them that wasn't created when they were playing. So this started in 2022, if you haven't heard, the Michael Magic and Bird trophy though. It wasn't created when they were playing for them to even be a part of. But can't they change it every year,
Starting point is 00:16:35 or is it always going to be Magic Johnson? No, it's going to be whatever they put in there. Yeah, this is going to be so the legacy stays on. You know, Kobe got the All-star trophy in the future. Motherfucker played in the playoff. He worked hard and he played it, took it serious. Every year, that makes sense. So good, would you prefer if these trophies
Starting point is 00:16:53 did not honor the legends of the game? I mean, Magic got five. Keep their spirit alive. Your contributions to the National Basketball Association. I don't know, I don't know. You got to name the most improved and sixth man suit. The Lou Will? Yeah. That makes sense, right? Lou Will or or Jamal Crawford or Mono Janos. That makes sense. I mean this doesn't Eastern Conference finals in V. It wasn't in., they went a lot. They went a lot.
Starting point is 00:17:27 But why is it a thing though? Who cares? I know. It's man today. Don't mean shit bill. Don't mean shit. Yeah, the bill. Yeah, what is that?
Starting point is 00:17:38 Nobody was ever complaining about the bill Russell were they won. What is that? The finals MVP. He has 11 make sense. The finals MVP? Yeah, MVP. He has 11, makes sense. The finals MVP award, I get that. It's the finals. So what's wrong with Magic Nostragin
Starting point is 00:17:51 in the Western Conference? He went. Magic went five times. Yeah. I mean more than that. He went five Western Conference finals, that's the new thing. I don't know, he went more than that.
Starting point is 00:18:02 I believe he went seven, just keep five and two from number six. Finals, Western Conference Finals MVP. So why isn't it named the Tim Duncan? Oh, Nine for Magic, right. Nine Final Conference MVPs. Isn't that a new award? That's a new award, right?
Starting point is 00:18:19 That's like 2021, 2020. I like it. Yeah, 2022. I'm gonna say I ain't got no problem with it. I ain't got no problem with it. I like it. Yeah, 2022. I got no problem. I got a problem. I like it So why not the Tim Duncan? Cuz he didn't have then do a big man award. I guess what's the big man? They got to do it. He got five motherfuckers. He was the best player every year
Starting point is 00:18:37 They won a championship, but he didn't pack the game like magic So I didn't pack what game? The game like Magic. So they didn't. Pack what game? They got five championships. They didn't pack the game like Magic. What, the Spurs game? They didn't pack the game like Magic. Off the floor or okay, cool. And on. Boy, boy got five championships.
Starting point is 00:18:56 What are y'all not listening to? No, no, that's fine. No, that's fine. Five of them are. He's not Magic. Game market. I said off the floor, yeah. I got you, yes.
Starting point is 00:19:04 I gave y'all that. Magic got five. Magic played on the court. Yeah. Game market. Yeah. I said off the floor, yeah, I got you, yes. I gave you all that. Magic happened. Yeah, when Magic played on the court, yeah. Yeah. It was show time. It was, yeah, all that. I did. Who cares who Western and Eastern Conference Finals, who cares?
Starting point is 00:19:16 Is that not an accomplishment though, you think, ain't it? No, it's not. To be the Conference Champion. Now it is. Now I'm saying it's why the same. But what I'm saying is, my thing was always this. Accomplishment though you know What I'm saying is my thing was always this when I'm looking at the game and I'm looking at accolades I'm looking at your your your legacy. I'm we're watching in real time Right, we watched it in the 90s, but we didn't understand what was going on in the 90s why Michael Jordan don't have Seven or eight straight MVP's
Starting point is 00:19:52 Right and they took two from him so he wouldn't get three in a row, right? We didn't see it then then you know when when Kobe's come along when You know LeBron, you got Curry, you got Giannis when he was supposed to win three, then you got Jokic when he was supposed to win three two times in a row. And then I'm like, well, whose legacy are they saving?
Starting point is 00:20:16 Then you start doing the research and you're like, it's the same three people. When LeBron came into the league, he was the next Magic Johnson with Jordan-like ability. Jordan athleticism, that was the tag. He is Magic 2.0. So he was in the Magic, the small four that started off as a shooting guard their first year,
Starting point is 00:20:39 then became like the point four. That was his lane. So he was supposed to be either below Magic or in front of Magic. When he started showing abilities that was beyond Magic Johnson, they moved his ass to Jordan because he's going to fall to Jordan. So Magic gets to stay up top, Jordan gets to stay up top. I'm pretty sure LeBron's going to get one. He'll probably get the rookie of the year trophy. LeBron's rookie of the year trophy.
Starting point is 00:21:01 No. Shouldn't be his. It should. No way. It shouldn't be his Shit Conference the LaMela yeah, that's mellow Melo Anthony's trophy he got at home. I just believe mellow Ricky the air truck give us with it He got more points what's hanging finals in finals? Oh, he'll be the finals MVP goes person who's went there the most then.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Since he got all the points, he can get scoring titles. I mean just think about it, whoever went to the championship the most, that would kind of be theirs. Whoever won the championship the most, that's gotta be theirs. So you got Bill Russell, trophy should be the Larry O'Brien. Okay, then whoever's been to the finals. So that's Bill Russell. That's magic. That's probably LeBron Being a wanted then Jerry with Jerry West win multiple times. Yeah, that's I'm saying so that that trophy should be named after somebody who's been there the most Robert Oh, yeah
Starting point is 00:22:02 ain't that uh Jerry West They changed the championship trophy from Larry O'Brien to David Stern It is? No, should they? I'm asking you No I like that Listen, listen, I'm not gonna lie I'm not mad at that With the three people who just got these trophies
Starting point is 00:22:20 That only makes sense Yeah, I'm not mad at that one It only makes sense. Larry, you got his creation. That just got submitted. You might as well make that the David Stern trophy. I dig it. Why is it a problem that it's Magic and Bird?
Starting point is 00:22:35 They did a lot for the game, though. No, but the problem is they're doing a lot for the game today, too. They still are. Yes, but it's not in a good way. How? Because you can't win your third MVP because it takes away from Bird. No, then don't, Joker got three.
Starting point is 00:22:55 No, not in a row, no. But that, nobody cares, as long as you got three it's still the same. I don't care. It don't matter if you got it or not. It's your birthday so I will be with that. Three in a row is what everyone's keep getting screwed over. It's a real thing. Well let's shift it back to the current Western Conference Finals MVP, Shakey Alexander. I know it was different back in the day.
Starting point is 00:23:17 Western Conference Finals representative, Oklahoma City Thunder. I know but they're ruining your career. They're ruining your accolades because of it. What does impress you the most about SGA during this season and the Thunder's extended playoff run? Like I mentioned there were some people out there said the Thunder had a 0% chance So y'all should have brought him on here I think that was I think that was cemetery Larry or it was a money Mike and Charles not not a coin I mean money making money making Mitch Sonny Sonny money making Sonny Sonny Sonny money-making Sonny Sonny Sonny Sonny that was him That was not money-making, huh?
Starting point is 00:23:46 Sonny wasn't getting money on the show. Nah, Sonny wasn't making money on the show. I can smell a nigga with money. That's Sonny, you can sell him up. Oh, that's Sonny. Yeah, I think it was Rishad. You're currently getting packed up. We said that too.
Starting point is 00:24:01 By Al Gore's internet right now. No, I thought it wasn't Rashad who said that. Well, unless y'all got a clip. I don't know. I think you said that. Nah, you said David Williams too. As you know, you vetoed all clips. I remember saying something like that.
Starting point is 00:24:15 That's what I remember. I remember saying something like that. But I'm pretty sure. So since you didn't bring him on the couch to defend himself, yeah, I'm just just gonna put it on him It's documented on gills arena We chose not to run the clip out of respect for you with a direct deposit It's my birthday run that shit right there, please like it is your birthday
Starting point is 00:24:42 Time to being right. Oh Yeah, how low thank you for that legally safe One second and that's crazy cuz I mean Unless why would someone say that Joe? Sorry? Okay. I don't know. I just Host and lead the youth to championships Just just cuz it was Larry and he's not here to defend himself I'm pretty sure when he made a statement like that He was thinking selfishly about the team that he liked so So, you know, because of the Knicks, right? Because he thinks the Knicks is gonna win,
Starting point is 00:25:08 obviously they have a 0% chance because the Knicks is gonna win. And me, if I would've said some stupid shit like that, me myself, me, if I would've said that dumbass shit, it would've been because I, you know, we had Luke and LeBron and I'm- The third place Los Angeles Lakers was doing the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:25:24 I was 100% thinking that they was gonna win it so if they're gonna win it then there was fucking no way they had a chance but I wouldn't say nothing stupid like that. A rational idea. So I have a question. Why do you keep doing this to that as part of the seat right there though? Because that's the only open spot. Oh, I thought it was because the person that sat there, whoo! My, that's, it was just natural reaction. The motherfucker that sat there, said that shit.
Starting point is 00:25:50 The motherfucker that sat there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I was thinking. But. The ghost. I don't know, he was kind of like, your kind of color, a little light skin, a little heavier though.
Starting point is 00:26:00 Ah, yeah. Your skin. Ah, a little further over to the left a little bit more, but like where that tray is. Like if you move that tray, I'm going to slide that tray a little bit forward. Slide to your right. Slide to my right? Yeah, no, slide your body to the right.
Starting point is 00:26:16 Oh, and one half this time? Yeah, just one half this time. Reverse, reverse. They don't feel comfortable? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, They don't feel comfortable? No, no, no. They're a little bit uncomfortable, yeah. It had your clothes in it, girl. Damn.
Starting point is 00:26:28 You know what, man? I was COVID drunk. Oh, my God. I had COVID brain. I had a little COVID brain. Oh, my God. I was COVID brain, you know what I mean? COVID drunk.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Sometimes, sometimes. Just blame it on us. Blame everything. COVID brain chat. COVID brain chat. We'll give you the aftermath of COVID brain, you know what I mean? COVID brain. Sometimes, sometimes. COVID brain. Just blame it on us.
Starting point is 00:26:46 Blame it on the fuckers. COVID brain chat. Well, given the aftermath of that, you did decide to jump on the Oklahoma City Thunder Band wagon to atone for your sins. So what's impressed you the most about SGA during the season and the Thunder's extended playoff run? First final since the Euroleague 2012.
Starting point is 00:27:03 MVP. They say he the best player in the NBA, right? Urban Magic Johnson, Western Conference Finals MVP. He was about to say he the best player in the NBA. Urban Magic Johnson. Western Conference Finals MVP. He's the best, right? Pristine Braves. I think for me, for me everything that, you know, he didn't get MVP last year, came back with a chip on his shoulder.
Starting point is 00:27:15 He's built a culture over there. You know, they keep a lot of things in house. And, you know, they don't get too high, too low. They stay right in the middle. And like I said before man they've been keeping it consistent the whole whole playoffs like they never got rattled when things went tough they got together they you know just like he said you know they have more work to do so you could just you know you could just see what his mission is you know even when his dad came you know his love for the their love for the
Starting point is 00:27:43 game so I just like you know just as whole as coach this year, just putting the team on his back, creating the culture and being the leader. Can you give us some press here about SGA and the Thunder Squad? Well, they've just been determined to not repeat what happened last year to them. You can tell in their play,
Starting point is 00:28:02 they've been coming out with that determination, man. That we know we are one of the best teams in NBA and we are here to prove it. And if we bring our A game each and every night, which we're not going to always do, but if we aim towards that, we've got a great shot at winning 16 games. So that's what I've seen from them and from him, from Shea. Shea's just determined, man. They are playing determined basketball. And you can just look at it and have fun while they're doing it. So it ain't just that they out there hooping about. It's about business, but they having fun while they're doing it. So it ain't just that they out there hooping about. It's about business but they having fun at while they're doing
Starting point is 00:28:48 it. So yeah, a group of young guys man and so I was sent something that they like the youngest team like nobody that's been in the league like so many years like they could make it to the finals like since our nets team so yeah it's dope I'm saying it's dope for them to be so young and so in tune with one another it's good stuff so SGA game 131 points game two playoff career high then of 38 points have 14 in their only losses of the series of game three follow that up with a playoff career high 40 piece and they're winning game four, 34, seven and eight. Just to go, so they say they went to dinner or something if I'm not mistaken. They just went to dinner, after they got their doors blown, just go to dinner,
Starting point is 00:29:36 they had a fucking meeting. Mm-hm. That's the difference, we got out, we just went to dinner as a unit, bring some red wine or something, and we don't need to have a meeting about what we need to do. Let's just build on what we've been doing. But yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Watching him last year, like, you know, Phoenix Suns, right? Watch him this year, start off Phoenix Suns again. We knew that Shea was him, right? And he controlled majority of everything that went on. Unless you're just really diving and you're really watching them daily, the rookie mistakes, they don't make a lot of them because it's like the rookies they have and the vets that they have is like a perfect
Starting point is 00:30:28 blend. Like if they have a very young team but the guys they're playing, they're not really young. Right? You know, you got Chet, you got Jaylin Williams, right? SGA is 26. Is SGA only 26? Mm-hmm. You have...
Starting point is 00:30:46 Caruso. Caruso. That looks like it. But you have Hartenstein, and you have... As far as... Dort. Dort, right? So it's like the perfect blend instead of having just a whole amateur team.
Starting point is 00:31:02 So it's like the perfect blend, and the young guys that I didn't really was comfortable with was Jalen, like is he a real second option? Remember Chet wasn't playing and you know it's hurt played and then started off a little rocky this year. It's like but they don't do the same mistakes two games in a row. You know they learn faster than you know even though we always say this era is a little dumb right because They get to play and do some dumb shit. They don't do a lot of it
Starting point is 00:31:36 Right. So the mistakes they made the Denver game that Denver series and they found Gave them that they don't do that right? They did that shit. they haven't done it anywhere near doing that shit again. So to your point, absolutely. And for me, I feel like it's a talent to make everybody feel comfortable on a team as a coach. Like everybody feel like they're not looking over their shoulders when they shoot, like they're comfortable to shoot that shot.
Starting point is 00:32:06 And I think that's a sign to the team to make, to Shay too, like as a leader, God's not like worried about missing out that much. And I feel like Caruso was a great pickup this summer. Former NBA champion. Some people don't like to hear it, but that championship experience helped too. Totally different team from last year. Harkinstein was the best pickup that they could have gotten.
Starting point is 00:32:35 No, no, no. Caruso. I think they both are equally what they... I'm just saying just having another big... I thought you ain't got to play five, right? He is good at that position. He is typically what you're looking for in a foreman these days, that shoot it, dribble it, athletic enough to block shots.
Starting point is 00:32:56 And so that's what you're looking for. And yeah, they put that roster together and that team together in a way that yeah man it's it's doing your homework it's watching guys not just over a summer but watching guys consistently on what they built on the Joe kid the Wiggins kid like those the door like all of those guys I'm saying other Jalen Williams kid the kid it's just you you you've you've watched these kids when they're in college, whatever college they are, small school, big school, you did your homework.
Starting point is 00:33:31 And your scouts and staff have brought this homework back to San Presta and they've run with it. They've had the capital with draft picks to do it with. So it's front office mixed with picking the right coach for this young group of guys. Everybody buying into the same message. And when that ball is moving freely, man, and to your point, Nick, that ball moving freely,
Starting point is 00:33:58 and we know where it's going in the fourth quarter, it's a great way to play, man. I don't know who started. And they got a lot of leverage. They got picks. Remember, you're like three threes to come back and demonstrate. They can keep building.
Starting point is 00:34:12 I want to know who started the idea of we're going to do the on-court interview together. I want to know who started that. Because that right there starts the friendship. Because even though they not trying to talk to y'all, I want y'all in this shot. Probably Shay. Probably Shay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Or somebody suggested it to him or it could be his. He built it. He looked up to like just from here on, I mean, I'm gonna be, but him and his wife, him and his old lady got a good relationship and he respects her opinion. He said she's brutally honest with him. So probably conversation you probably had with him, somebody close to him had with him and brought it to his attention
Starting point is 00:34:49 or he came up with it himself either way. Go, but like it's just a dope idea, man. Okay, team now has a grand total of 80 wins, regular season and playoff combined. So only the 2015-16 Warriors, 95-96 Bulls and 96-97 Bulls had at least 80 wins entering the NBA Finals in NBA history. Both those Bulls teams obviously won the Chip Warriors, had a 3-1 lead, did not win the Chip. Historic teams, but those
Starting point is 00:35:14 teams also went to multiple finals, won multiple titles. So after the game, SGA was asked about the potential of the big three of him, J-Dub, and Chet, and here's what he said. We still have so much more room to grow which is the scary part like I'm 26 which seems old compared to the other two. But yeah they're 23 and 24 they're haven't even hit close to their prime yet like both of them are just out there playing off a feel and their talent. Like I'm excited for the future Play your own dough. We don't want to jump too far here, but reaching the finals as team experience That's crazy. Look like he's talking about they have he hasn't hit his pride
Starting point is 00:36:00 28 you started 26 Him he'd been like you gotta think how long they've been they've been in it Yeah, this is a for a lot of us. We started to like that prime you think that we coming in later Yeah, this is seven. Yeah, like this is he's in it 26 to right cuz he'll start now to 33 30 but the way we can this league trend though, that could be even longer than that. That's what I'm saying. Back then, your prime was what, the 26 or 32, cause you was out of the league at 36.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Right? 38, they still high level, so it's like. He's extended. And his game is not like, hard. His game ain't like, he's on pace. It ain't jumpy, it ain't like. Yeah, it ain't that shit. I feel like he's a sponge.
Starting point is 00:36:50 He just won MVP, yeah, he's in his prime. Shane's a sponge, I feel like. Derr Rose wasn't in his prime when he won. No, no, no. No, he was young. This kid is in his, he's in his prime. He's figured this league out. Three straight seasons, averaging 30. He's figured this league out. He's the league in scoring this year obviously and Ruth to getting his MVP. Good luck
Starting point is 00:37:06 stopping him because he don't. I think who he had, like teach him. Chris Paul, Lou, Kawhi. Yeah he got, what's so funny, he got the Lou. He got the Lou Will. What's so funny is he got a little bit of Lou and Chris Paul style. Getting in there, still keeping his drill like that's that's that's the clever part of them being six six six seven Being in the lane dribbling like in your six to compact Somebody that's got long arms long limbs and being the lane still
Starting point is 00:37:41 Dribbling is like that's that's good still dribbling. It's like, damn, that's... That's skill to get fouled. Usually he don't build the ball and try to score. Then he get that bump on you, too. Yeah, Tyrese. That's the skill to get fouled, too. My bad.
Starting point is 00:37:51 No, no, no, no. He did some shit yesterday, to your point, like, his craftiness. If he would have went up with his right, he knew he would have got blocked. Mm-hmm. He drove, it was a right-hand layup. If he would have went like this, it would have got blocked.
Starting point is 00:38:03 He just so fucking crafty, he just motherfuckin' just right, the dude was right, he knew he was finna get ready to jump. He shot that motherfucker with his left hand. I was like, this motherfucker's so good. Just little things like that. Just his awareness on where defenders are and human tendency.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Like, that clip on Nas Reeve when I said, can I have this dance? It just, it's so textbook and it's just, okay I want you to go this way, boom, okay I'm gonna stop you, go this way, boom, because you gotta try to cut me back off now I'm gonna pull you back. It's like damn, it's so calculated but it's tough. If you touch him in the type of way he gonna foul, that's what he gonna do. Oh he gonna bump you.
Starting point is 00:38:42 Yeah. He gonna get that shoulder in your chest man. He gonna bump you and then when, he gonna bump you. Yeah. He gonna get that shoulder in your chest, man. He gonna bump you, and then when your ass kinda bump back, oh yeah. As soon as you recover, he gonna up, and he gonna hands up shit, like it's hands up between the legs, like who does that? Hands up between the legs, back, that shit,
Starting point is 00:38:58 that's tough, dog. Clever. He don't be trying to cover shit. He can dunk, he can jump. Put that motherfucking foot right in. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He different. When you look at this- Getting small spaces because he thin.
Starting point is 00:39:10 But, good, we've talked about this before, just in terms of having to pay all these guys down the road, but they've got a lot of solid contracts, a lot of team options at their disposal. Talk about hard to sign Lou Dort, Isaiah Joe, other players, 20 draft picks over the next five drafts. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:39:25 First final since 2012. Do we feel like we're seeing OKC, and we don't want to jump ahead and win the chip yet, but beginning to formulate something that could be done. Amen. Once Boston went down, and whoever won the West between them and Denver was the champs. If everyone stays healthy. The champions of the national basketball circle. Yes, once Boston went down,
Starting point is 00:39:51 once the defending champs went down, right? There's still two teams playing. Whoever won in the West after that was the most dominant team. I feel like that championship was Denver game. Yeah, it was the Denver game, like whoever's gonna win that. was Denver game. Yeah, it was the Denver game,
Starting point is 00:40:03 like whoever's gonna win that. They have to be careful because right now, we're gonna say dynasty, right? The closest dynasty is now them, right? Because of age, contracts, and drafts, right? It's like having cash backed by gold. They have it.
Starting point is 00:40:41 So now it's trying to figure out who the three. You lose one, it can hurt, right? So if these three are yours, you better talk to them today. Cause that free agent market, you got one who just unlocked 300 if he waits to next year. He can sign this year for two something. Or take the five. Or go to next year and he's in threes.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Closer to four, five, or three. That kind of hurts these two because so all three of them is free this summer. They can all re-up this summer. Right? So you got to try to figure out if one of them can some Brunson, give me a little Brunson discount and see if you can convince these three to for the legacy. Do some of that back shit. They will. Right, let me defer, let me defer a hundred million for the next 30 years. Some shit like that that makes everybody feel comfortable.
Starting point is 00:41:33 And if, but if you can, this is gonna be the team to beat in the next. Yep. That shit. They definitely got a chance to have a night. And the beauty, yeah, and the beauty about it is nowadays, the guys that they would be losing, just say they winning, right?
Starting point is 00:41:51 Mm-hmm. Guys are going to move on because, Contrary. The teams want them because they winning, right? Yep, mm-hmm. The way the college landscape is now, you can go in a draft and get an older guy that's ready to play right now.
Starting point is 00:42:06 So it ain't like you're going to draft an 18 year old kid, 19 year old kid that ain't like a freshman. Now that you, I don't know if he's going to be able to play right now. You're going to draft a 25 year old motherfucker right now. He ready to play. How old is Wiggins? A lot of them kids, they draft, they, trust me, they older than half your roster right now. They plug and play guys in college right now. So the beauty of it is they got 20 draft picks. At least 20 that is a club protector pick. 20 draft picks. Over the next five years.
Starting point is 00:42:38 So they not going to miss a beat in mind no matter if they lose guys. Because you win it this year, they go out and do what they're supposed guys. Cause you win it this year, they go out and do what they're supposed to. They win it this year, you come back the favorites next year because you, and then you start this plug and play system that. How fast it could go. Two first round picks each of the next three drafts.
Starting point is 00:42:57 See how fast it could go. Boston won and they out. But that, but. Nah, that's okay, but. But. Now, but listen listen you could do like the Warriors They lost and then they came back with nobody but They don't even have they don't need they don't need to do anything I mean only thing that messes them up
Starting point is 00:43:14 There's these contracts right here because two of them are still on rookie deals Give rid of Harrison, but like students. Okay. Yes, two of them are still on rookie deals. So Jalen we've and like students, like yes, two of them are still on rookie deals. So Jalen Williams not eligible for a five year, $300 million deal, 296 million. That's what I'm saying. The only thing that breaks them up is contracts. That's the only thing that breaks them up is contracts. So if they figure that part out, that's the most important part, figuring the contract part out. And then from there, any of those picks with anybody who can possibly be a one,
Starting point is 00:43:49 two, or three pick in the next two, three years. Who can get like any of those first round protected? Can they fuck around, win a championship, and get a number one pick somehow from somebody? They have pick swapping stuff still on the table, so. Yeah. So there's possibilities that they can win. Package these picks together. No, what I'm saying is there's possibilities
Starting point is 00:44:11 that they can win a championship like Laker and then get the number one pick. Yep. Ah. Yeah, like I got the number one pick. Hey, listen, y'all save y'all energy. Or. Because luck is on y'all side right now.
Starting point is 00:44:22 You know what I mean? Or you win that motherfucker to your point that guy who started you started with motherfucking the word is he on the market yeah that old slim refusers guy he's the most plug-and-play motherfucker you could possibly go and get so most of those picks are top four. You're tired right now? This shit will more. Top four. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:44:47 So we're top four, some are top five. You get Kevin Durant and you win three straight. They can keep getting a lot of lottery picks though. They can keep getting a lot of lottery picks. Hey Sam Preston, go bring back Kevin Durant. What does Jalen Williams gonna wanna take a pick? No facts. You could plug in somebody.
Starting point is 00:45:01 Or a check. You don't need to pay him. You could plug in somebody. We're gonna talk about it. No, what I'm saying, that's the only thing that changes. I can play, like I said, with Katie right there. Right? If they're not willing to take a...
Starting point is 00:45:11 They said Harrison Bourns. Nah. Yeah. Katie. That's what I'm saying. And check. So great position. I mean, listen, at the end there is a great position
Starting point is 00:45:22 that they're in. And we were wrong. We were definitely wrong. Them boys balled out. Balled out. Well, shout out to this location. So while the team accepted the Western Conference trophy on the court, they had fun with head coach Mark Dagnall showcasing the personality of this team.
Starting point is 00:45:44 These guys are uncommon. They know, they do everything right. They're professional, they're high character. They're idiots. They're competitive, and most of of all they're team first. They embody everything it means to be a team. So during the season we heard people like Draymond Green criticize the squad, say they were too buddy-buddy, he wasn't really a fan of all the post-game interviews and camaraderie. But do you think the criticism of OKC's college-like togetherness were premature?
Starting point is 00:46:24 Yeah, of course. criticism of OKC's college-like togetherness were premature? Yeah, of course. I mean, because there's only been a few ways we were taught on how you're supposed to win the championship, right? It's supposed to be a certain way, iron fist rule. And they've shown that you can have fun y'all can like each other y'all can be silly and whoop ass when you lose smile it off and come back and whoop ass so yes it was because of 40 years it was like you think besides showtime
Starting point is 00:47:02 but we wasn't really you know know, because I'm pretty sure Showtime was a fun environment. A lot of fun. OK, so you know what I mean? Stories have been told. Too much fun. A little too much fun. Some people, but there's Cookie.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Yeah, yeah, a lot of, you know. So, so, shit. Fuck, go ahead. A lot of nervous people, so. Wow. So. Fuck. Go ahead. A lot of nervous people. Early 90s. So, you know, so, you know, just, you know, going off of just history itself, you know, how they were moving. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Too young. Didn't look serious enough. Too buddy-buddy. And that's not how you win because it was never done before. Just like, you know, when Steph was coming on, how he played the game, how he shot the ball from half court in their style, nah, that's not winning basketball.
Starting point is 00:47:52 It's not winning basketball until you win. Yeah, and I'm pretty sure after this championship, you're gonna start seeing a lot of motherfucker skipping along down the yellow brick road type of teams because they shown that hey, coach A, we don't need to be like y'all, right? We don't need to be angry and sitting here, sitting here. We lost and we, mm, mm.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Yeah. Yeah. My turn on motherfucking music all day. We ain't gotta do that. We can really let this shit go and get ready for the next game mentality. So we talked about the playoff inexperience of this team and how that might be detrimental
Starting point is 00:48:26 heading into this postseason, but they go seven with Denver, win that series, get 42 piece by the Wolves in game three. Like you said, laugh it off. Jalen Williams saying, shit, I lost the game by 60 before, so this ain't, you know, it could always be worse. But follow that up.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Big win in game four in Minnesota. Hold on to get that one. And then obviously, this one I want to say was their third or fourth 30 point win this postseason, which is a record. So they're putting... I think everybody knew the Wolves was going to get their ass whooped this last. I think we said that.
Starting point is 00:48:57 Yeah, I know I did. I quit watching. Going on the road, you're down 3-1. Yeah, that sounds like, you know what? It's easier to just lose this game. I can be on vacation by Saturday. If I lose tonight, I do my exit meeting today. I'm on vacation Saturday.
Starting point is 00:49:23 All right, hey, let's go out there and play hard, everybody. Yeah, let's go and play hard. Everybody. Be on that. So good. You talked about this. You talked about this. This week. Hey coach, right? Damn it.
Starting point is 00:49:39 I went under. Yeah, you talked about this the week. She jumped in the black. She's being down three one with the mentalities like in that locker room a couple players still emotionally invested. A few have their minds and can't cool it already. A few of those players who are kind of swing stays don't know which way to go. You go down 26-9 into the first quarter score nine points total in that quarter. When it was 11, when it was 7-3, 11-3 game over.
Starting point is 00:50:04 Yeah, when that shit was 3-0 and then they didn't score again for me, I'm like, yeah, it is. But at 3-0, you're like, no. No. Oh, right. Like, that's what I'm saying. It's, now- We up three.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Now, for teams that have came back 3-1, right, you have to give real credit to those teams that they was engaged mentally enough Right to actually Win game five just would just win game five that that is the that is the real one winning game Five is the real one and I want to know now out of the 13 teams that won. Where was game five? Because it's easier to win it at home because it's your home. I wanna know how many was. I can think of one. It was on the road for game five, but that's no.
Starting point is 00:50:53 They were on the road. They were on the road, but that one was, you can see that one. That wasn't as big of a deal as everyone thinks it is. Because back then Draymond Green was a minus 11 to it, minus nine to the team because he led in every category but scoring so um with with Curry out of lineup there was only minus three to the books with Draymond Green out of lineup there was a minus nine to the books
Starting point is 00:51:18 so with him being suspended they had damn near no chance of winning game five. Now Draymond comes back. I believe it's been a game six. Game five. Game five. Oh, shit. So him coming back game, so him missing that, they had no chance. Him coming back game six,
Starting point is 00:51:34 it was a minus five and a half because he couldn't play his game, right? Because if he did something stupid again, he would have missed the final game. So he was half a Draymond green. So it was kind of like minus four and a half. So you got kicked out game four and they still lost He got the take I think you played all game for oh So you get a date you just get they reviewed the film. Okay, and then game seven
Starting point is 00:51:59 He's back to being who he is. So it's an even thing. But again One team is on an actual high, so you know. But that's not, it is, but you know, because I was- Nah, you still gotta win. I was in them streets then, so I- You still gotta win game six and game seven. So, your mom was on both of those.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Huh? You was in both of those. Who? Game six and game seven. Yeah, he was half in game six, because if he did something stupid, he would have been out for game seven if there was a game seven. Sounds like a personal problem. Listen, I want somebody to research it.
Starting point is 00:52:35 I put half a million dollars, it's public. And I said, no, it if anybody, if anybody moving forward, takes Golden State that has anything minus three, four, five, you losing your money. And I said, if the championship falls on game on a Sunday, whoever the minus is, is the loser. I wrote that as soon as Draymond got suspended. Well, the Cavs were the winners.
Starting point is 00:53:09 But anyway, back to this Thunder Squad. He was half there in the final game. Game 6, half. You fuck up, get it, take the imagine it. You do one of them little elbows and shit, they review it, you know you out for Game 7. So you think he's worth it. So I was like, you have, you have.
Starting point is 00:53:23 So his whole body, he just worth it. I might fuck up an elbow with somebody. I have. I can't control my stuff. He ain't never played like that. I can't control my stuff. He ain't never played like half drapes. I can't control my stuff.
Starting point is 00:53:34 He ain't never been no half drapes. I don't know about you. This game, this game. Hey, listen. If y'all never seen somebody play half, then you didn't watch last night's game. That's how it looks when you half dead, god damn it. Half the motherfuckers, half their brain was still in with love. You're not playing half, then you're up.
Starting point is 00:53:55 You're not playing half in no game. You're not playing half in the finals. Shit, you seen what it look like out there? Back to the Thunder, their team camaraderie and just the future of this franchise Do you think other guys around the league are looking at this team? If you got the previous say okay see not the most desirable destination to play and I think we can all agree on that But other guys are looking at this team again You talked about some of those guys having to take pay cuts amongst their big three
Starting point is 00:54:19 But other older stars looking at the squad saying damn I would take a pay cut to be a part of that environment and then he starts looking at the squad saying, damn, I would take a pay cut to be a part of that environment. Yeah, nah, I'm going to Oklahoma City, I don't know. That's why they gotta do it through the draft. You know, it's just, you ain't ready for that. That don't mean you new, though. Smart man, Gil. That don't mean they play half,
Starting point is 00:54:39 it's just you had a hunch, motherfucker. All right, but when you see a team like this winning environment, guys look like they truly enjoy playing with each other. You put a certain kind of guy, though, to that, right? So you see it from afar. They are young, man. So they built something together. And bring somebody that's established already into that as a freegin tough yeah I think but to do it through the draft where you got to come in and buy in I think is the smart move easier
Starting point is 00:55:12 easier let's go get a guy like Kevin Durant yeah yeah cuz I mean I mean and also whoever coming in they got on my birthday. I'm not You know, they they you know shit should they go as he go So I just feel like with that culture that they're building to like you just said man I'll just probably get somebody out the draft But it's not like a KD or somebody you could just you know saying just put you know Put in position to be successful then what about somebody like Russ Russ Player Option, Future Uncertain. Who? Russ, but just, nah. Personal.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Very low. His personality though, it's... That's gonna be a bigger, that's gonna be a big piece. I think that's, KD more fitting for that, but it's... Cause KD just wanna hoop. Yeah, it's just about hooping, right?
Starting point is 00:56:01 So, not to say it's not that for Russ, but it's just, the attention, for both of them is extreme but it's just the negativity that people tend to throw at Russ. Will start to creep his ugly head in, I think, to whatever degree. I think you're gonna win. Would you go get Katie and Steven Adams? No, man.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Bring them both back? No, you got hearts. Let them die. Can't get on the other side. Let them die. Just old bat, just old. If I win, hell no. No, he don't.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Because you wasn't fucking with me when I was broke. Now I'm up. No. Don't come over here. Stay on that side. Stay on that side. So OKC had the best defense in the NBA in both the regular season and playoffs
Starting point is 00:56:51 Gave Ant-Man fits during the series and after the game and man said they were like 15 puppets on a string defensively So is it time to start comparing? Okay, see to the great defenses of the past They have don't know yet From what you say when it all it all. They well coached. They play together. They fly around. What are they ranking defenses here? Top defensive team in the league and the top defensive team this postseason. They going but they're doing but let's let them do more with it. They are trending up.
Starting point is 00:57:20 They are on one string like he said man a public and they They have excellent on the ball defenders and they have shot block size on the back end. So Where's Indiana in the defense for because they play some crazy teams, too You said they they play some crazy teams in the end They're gonna give a lot of points because they play fast. They think about OKC being number one in defenses. They young.
Starting point is 00:57:49 They're going to keep getting better. Injured, injured, and then healthy. Oh man. No. No, no. They still had Yannick the motherfucker out there. Pace was 13th during the regular season, defensive rating. And OKC young.
Starting point is 00:58:02 So they going to keep getting better on that deepness and So okay by in man once Get better. Yeah Brandon, but they already bought in right to this is how we gonna win Right. We got we good offensively, but you can tell how they playing with Caruso, Dorit, Williams, all them like hell of an on-ball guys so they are gonna Just continue to continuously impose their will. Okay, right? I was like, cause they figured it out. But once you figure it out Defensively on guys or how guys don't like to be guarded
Starting point is 00:58:41 You gonna do that night in night out now and them And them dudes gonna continue, so now they gonna be, I was at Crusoe, they're playing enough games this year to be first team or second team, our defense. But he is that, Dort is that, Williams just made it. So they, you're in, you're out. Because once you make it. Yeah, but you know, like the league, they change, teams change, teams get better, you know
Starting point is 00:59:05 And then sometimes you know you they win the championship, you know, they talk about the championship Yeah, yeah, I ain't going to hang over and stuff like that. So but there's no voters fatigue with all defensive teams Okay, right normally it's voters fatigue with MVP's another first out and there's no voters fatigue with defense Oh, yes, you've all defense teams. Okay, because if you look at the history is this There's voters fatigue with MVPs and other firsts out there. There's no voters fatigue with defensive players. All defense teams. Because if you look at the history, each year, it might fluctuate first team, say they might add one guy here to take,
Starting point is 00:59:34 but it's the same guys. Because once you make it, and it's emphasis that you are a defender. How you feel about Yanis not making it? It's crazy. You know the funny part about the defensive side is they're lazy on that one yeah that's why like Mike got like nine yeah cuz it's like they're not they don't you know I mean is like who's their last year because they don't watch enough games to know who's each in this out there. They don't so you only watching these guys when they come to your market
Starting point is 01:00:11 In your market on television you go to certain games man They don't watch enough to know who actually is doing it see but I don't like that because they watch enough to know what you're doing opposite no Because there's a stack but you look at it No, yeah, because there's I wanted they can't create a stat for like deep... They try, but it's still to the eye test too as well. Right? You can have a certain rating when you're on the floor defensive. Your defensive rating can be this per possession, but until you watching it, you don't know that Luke Dort is picking
Starting point is 01:00:40 motherfuckers. It's more of a goddamn half-court. So why wouldn't they hire people who were defensive experts? Oh, I agree. Like yourself, like a at-bev, or like guys who play defense. Oh, I agree. Why don't they have, you know what I'm saying? Because you guys would be able to watch it and critique it better. I agree.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Definitely. But because we look at it through a certain, how y'all look at it as a score, same shit. I look at it through a different lens defensive y'all look at it as a score? Same shit, I look at it through a different lens defensively than a lot of people. Right, what makes a good difference, what makes, he blew up this play because he didn't let, like Gill always said, he didn't let the ball go here,
Starting point is 01:01:16 or I called out this play and let everybody alert that this is about to happen, or I told him not to do, there's no stat for that shit. There's no, but them dudes are excellent on the ball, man. And they make it tough defensively. And once you built on that and you got to this point of it, that desire to shut guys down grows. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Because I forgot why Giannis didn't make first all. I feel like they're having fun. They're looking at- I'm just like- Unless- He just said he's been on there all this time. You know what's so funny is like, a football team, right?
Starting point is 01:01:55 He made second team though, right? I don't know. Yonis made second team already, you think? He did not. That's crazy. It's crazy. Feel like a football. You can tell from a football scheme scheme for bigs on the second team
Starting point is 01:02:06 If someone misses an assignment, right? if some if someone missed the block or someone missed the check down even if this score touchdown and it was They scored on you but they can look at that and say it wasn't your fault Someone else didn't do it and you had to go they can't do that in basketball Yeah, cuz one we don't have a standard playbook for you to know our defensive scheme you know you for for you to know who's playing well defensively you got to talk to your coach right because I can look like a great defender right because nobody's going by me but I'm horrible at when my big step up I don't snap back to get his man
Starting point is 01:02:46 so his man is scoring got 20 on him and I'm like damn King can't play no defense but that was my assignment because his assignment is to stop my guy my assignment is to snap back so not to pick on Chuck right you know everybody know I love AI like AI good passing lane this that and the third you put him in the action and listen, certain times the motherfucker, hey, he over in that corner, his man is gone. He's standing there, motherfucker, over that little,
Starting point is 01:03:13 his man in the left. Ball watcher. Ball watcher, sit like that because he's trying to get the steal, right? So now you put everybody else in on it, like he's all defensive team, steals leader, this, that, and the third. And people see that shit and be like Chuck a great defender
Starting point is 01:03:28 You played a pass away. Yeah, long-ass arms you going him up. Are you gonna get the hand like he good at those things? Yes, but It's just when you will break it down. Huh? Who was first team this year? Don't ask that swaggy What's the first team this year? Oh, glad you asked that, Swaggy. Hold on one second. Have it right here. George, Daniel. Dyson. Yeah, that's how I know.
Starting point is 01:03:47 Kevin Mobley, Dyson, Daniel, Lou Dort, Draymond Green, and Men Thompson. And second team? Second team, Tumani Kamara, Rudy Gobert, Jared Jackson Jr., Jalen Williams, and Ibiza Zubats. He's a good defender, but he shouldn't be on over Yanis. I know disrespect to Zubats, but if you're telling me Yanis or Zubas.
Starting point is 01:04:05 I'm going with Yanis. Or the kid from Portland, right? That's the kid from Portland. Kamari, yeah. Yeah, Kamari, yeah. He shouldn't be on there. They won fucking 13 games. What defense y'all playing? He was locking up. Oh, no, he was, listen. He was locking up. Oh, he was. He had a problem on the ball. Have y'all watched it?
Starting point is 01:04:20 Yeah. Have y'all watched that kid play? Oh, he's got that problem on the ball. No, no, no, no. Oh, Johnson put it, like, no. No, I ain't watched it. Oh, Chonks put it, Chonks like sick him. I was like. He, yeah. He wanted him over like, hey, whoever bringing the ball up on him,
Starting point is 01:04:30 you getting off of it. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Come get this. Come get this. He had a backcourt by a free throw line. Oh, yeah. And you want him off of you as soon as possible.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Oh, yeah, I hate that. I hate that. You giving the ball up? He wanted him raw live, you dude. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, raw live. Yeah. Let's get this.
Starting point is 01:04:44 Please get him off of me now. I ain't really. The legend. Oh, yeah, yeah. Not on Royal Ivy. The legend. Please get him off of me now. The legend. So Gil, we're going to talk Wolves in a second. All go through the net, you turn around, that motherfucker. Yep. Like, goddamn, dude. We're going to talk Wolves in just a second,
Starting point is 01:04:56 but Gil, you asked a question earlier. How many teams that came back from 3-1, one game five on the road? Three of the 13 teams that came back from 3-1, deficit, one game five on the road. The Six the 13 teams that came back from three one deficits a one game five on the road. The Sixers in 1968, the Rockets in 95 and the Cavs in 2016. Bubble games obviously don't count
Starting point is 01:05:13 because there was no home court. Yeah, okay, so that makes sense. Because the Clippers thing was that, right? What about the Rockets versus Clippers? That's bubble. No. There was two of them on bubble, right? Yeah. So Rockets versus Clippers? That's bubble. No. It was 2015. So Rockets were in the bubble. There were two games in the bubble.
Starting point is 01:05:32 No, no, no, no. Those aren't included. There was down 3-1. Two of the 3-1 comebacks weren't there. Those were nuggets. If it's at home, it's kind of easier to win at home. 2015 was Rockets, Clippers, and 2005 was in Houston. Oh, okay.

Yet to reach the NBA Finals in franchise history despite being very close the past two years. Anthony Edwards spoke on wanting to get back to this place for teammate Mike Conley after the game. Yeah, yeah I'm gonna work my butt off this summer. Nobody's gonna work harder than me this summer. I tell you that much. So yeah I try to make I'll try to make it happen again for Mike. We'll try to make it happen
Starting point is 01:07:15 again for Mike. Ant just completed his fifth season in NBA currently 23 years old. In that time he's a three-time All-Star, two-time All-MBA selection, won a gold medal in the 2024 Olympics, and has been to consecutive Western Conference Finals. What are you expecting from Ant-Man going forward? Same thing that he's been doing. I like that. Building, moving forward. He's 23.
Starting point is 01:07:40 He's done showing that he does work his ass off in the summer and gets better. So he will be in the lab working on his flaws and he's going to come back better than he was this year, not making the same mistakes he did this year, next year. So that's all you can really ask for him to do just be a better version of yourself so His pie has nothing to do with the skill of basketball, huh his problem is nothing with the skill set of basketball He work all the shit he won't work on this summer you got change his approach
Starting point is 01:08:22 He can work all the shit he want to work on this summer. You gotta change his approach. So that's internal. You can get in the lab all you want. No, that's lab. Work hard all you want. That's lab work. No, that ain't. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 01:08:33 How? Seeing yourself do it over and over and over again. Doing what? Doing what? Everything. That's internal. It's a mindset. But your mind comes from when you're doing it. You can continue to put all the work in and you won't. That gives you. It's a mindset. But your mind comes from when you're doing it.
Starting point is 01:08:46 You can continue to put all the work in and you won't. That gives you confidence. No, no, no. You can come to that. The shit is just, it's continuously. So I'm gonna go further than that. The shit earlier in the season with Shay, that shit, it's...
Starting point is 01:09:02 No. We sit here and say, no. We said, I didn't say no. That has nothing to do with basketball. You gonna feel like you, like, at another level, how you feel after working hard. You gonna feel like fuck everybody. The Timberwolves are the fucking Cleveland Browns are the goddamn National Basketball Association.
Starting point is 01:09:22 Turmoil. For who you bring in, what it is, it's gonna always be something. It's just laws, bro. It's just laws. No, I'm just, no, it's just you can't like, okay, we want to do it for Mike. Great. But like, I'm good. I'm not bothered. Like, does it hurt? No, it don't hurt.
Starting point is 01:09:35 Like, no, that's the wrong, like, no. It is. No, bro. It's that's the way the young kids are. I get it. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but no, that's the wrong like no, it is no, bro. It's that's the way the young kids are I get it but when you reach this pinnacle and it's about winning and losing and you said no, no, I just I
Starting point is 01:09:57 want to do it for Mike. I mean I think I like Mike Mike Connick great teammate cool. I mean he pissed off. I said it's pissed off. I hear you can't see it because nigga right there what? Mike right here. So I'm trying to do it for Mike. Cool. That's good. Like cool. I'm Whatever it is if you did if he there or not, right? I'm not asking to go in that motherfucking flip over tables and throw the mic, fuck you, we ain't. Like, no, not that, but it's, it's a consistent theme within, right? Like, there's no guarantee you're gonna ever get back
Starting point is 01:10:37 to the Western Conference finals, dawg. Like, go ask Kevin Garnett how hard that shit was when he was in Minnesota. The furthest he made it as to where you are right now, once. Eight playoffs in KG's career with the 14 seasons with the Wolf. To this point, you are once. And guess what? The rest of that Western Conference that you do play in, young man, is getting tougher. It ain't gonna stay the same. But he gonna do his part.
Starting point is 01:11:06 Yeah, he gonna be. He's gonna be the roster. Yes, I hear you, yes. I'm with you, yes, Gil. Absolutely, you can get in the lab all the fuck you want, dog. Kenya, just for context. You got in the lab all you wanted to, right? You still were a fucking child in the locker room.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Yeah, but I was a grown man on the court. But it didn't change your mentality. But it didn't affect me on the court. But you did everything that you want. The point is, it was still a thing. Right? Which part of it? You, the person.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Not on the court. It's two different people. The person, though, is what I'm saying. But what I'm saying is, it's two different people. Who you are off the court. But his mentality on the floor, bad analogy his entire his mentality on the floor and the way he think in way Relay how he plays it Well play house but but but that isn't that youth still
Starting point is 01:11:57 There's no guarantee you don't get back to this point. So let's take it a little more Well, I think before he does all that, he got to get and go to your point about the mental part, not really the game, but off the court. And I'm speaking from experience from having, you know, the outside, you know, outside. I think a lot of the outside noise got to him too, a lot, you know, baby mama and all that stuff. And I'm just speaking from experience. So, you know, I think a lot of that was a lot of the issues too. But to go to your point too, it does definitely needs to approach it. But also it starts from how you, you know, I think a lot of that was was a lot of the issues too But but to go to your point to does definitely needs to approach it But also it starts from how you you know from home
Starting point is 01:12:32 That's the biggest thing though, it's a 23 year old right trying to figure out what he is right now it's more of Superman style. Yeah, right. Like I know just saying more right now. He's in Superman mode, right? Like I know what you're saying. More, right now he's in Superman mode, right? Where he don't believe he can get hurt. He knows he can go out there and get drunk and party and do that and still perform. He's not where, He's not where Shay is. He's not where LeBron is.
Starting point is 01:12:59 He's not where Curry and Tatum and Brown and where their discipline mentally and toward their game be at 23 years old you speaking of at his age right now 23 24 yes if we don't know if she was disciplined at 23 right three years ago he was at 30 in NBA at 23 yes he's just now 26 seasons I can do something math like a monster. But he can be 27 right now, so he can be 20 or 25. Yeah, he can be 27 soon.
Starting point is 01:13:28 But it's still the same thing. He's in his fifth year. But it ain't like he's in. Yeah, man. He just finished his fifth year. But nobody did carry their team. You can say, all that shit off the court, he carried his team to the Western Conference
Starting point is 01:13:41 class at 23. But there's no guarantee you're going to get back. He said, I'm going to get back. There's no guarantees, young man. No, but you know, that's just. But there's no guarantee you're gonna get back. He said, I'm gonna get back, there's no guarantees. No, but you know that's just, that's just talk. That's just talk. You know when I signed a contract, I'm here to win a championship. Shut the fuck up.
Starting point is 01:13:56 But we don't see you in the same class. For context, the reporter asked a question that was skewed towards Mike Conley and him being late in his career. That's why I kinda answered it the way he did. It was Mark Spears that asked the question. Yeah. Did you cook out hard after they cut you from the Olympic scene? Sure.
Starting point is 01:14:12 What you do? Mark J. Spears. I'm talking about him. When he had 81 that summer. But I'm saying it was just geared towards Conley and him being later in stages of his career. But you know it's just when. I get the feeling.
Starting point is 01:14:24 But mental comes with it. When you other guys at that me when I get but mental comes with you other guy other guys at that age that's been around for that amount of time that we think is supposed to be that they're supposed to you just want to do like don't tell me something different. Don't mature and come and go through stuff. Don't mature from losing. Yeah. Like we want to do it for Mike, but listen, I. What was he supposed to say?
Starting point is 01:14:51 I don't think Mike would have been brought up if Mike wasn't there. No, it's. He said, I'm about to work off. Mike, this is, we don't know how much longer Mike gonna be around. Good, I'm not saying that part of it. Good, the words that I say.
Starting point is 01:15:04 Great, cool, you feel that way about your teammate. I'm with him, right? Absolutely, he's been around, you don't know how much longer he's gonna play. I'm all with that message for us, right? I'm with that shit, absolutely. Hey, man, listen, well, I'm with it. Mike is our guy, he's our leader,
Starting point is 01:15:22 he's been around the longest. The turmoil he went through in Memphis, never getting over the top. Just made the All-Star ticket, they put in all of that shit, great, cool. But for me to be the guy that I am for the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise and who, they what they expect of me, right? I don't know what he said in the locker room. I do. I don't know what his message was to his teammate. If he said anything. But the way sports media is us nowadays and being able to critique his words and his play and put it, what we just saw, the last two games, the game minus the blowout game,
Starting point is 01:16:07 what we saw and what your words are after you lose is like this kid don't get it. Yeah, it says it, right? It says it, this is a kid, it's you. So when, but not make an excuse that you're a kid, but your basketball experience says that, no, says that you're not a kid. No, your basketball experience shows you are a kid.
Starting point is 01:16:33 You're, you're, you're. Because, yes. Let me show you why. We're watching a Brunson, right? We're watching a Shea. We've seen what the elite do. One thing he did that the elite don't do is listen to the media.
Starting point is 01:16:53 Right? You're in this game. You're saying you're one of the best. We've seen what Shea did. Right? There was no way Shea was going to take seven 13 shots ever. Okay. Now when his team knows and when they know they need him where he is the best.
Starting point is 01:17:14 You follow my lead. I'm not following the media's lead to do all this. You were supposed to come out and take 25, 27 shots. That's the only way you was gonna win. So the immaturity is thinking that I can do it your way, play the right way, and that's bullshit. The right way is you being dominant, right? The immaturity is, I'ma prove that I can do it this way.
Starting point is 01:17:43 No, that's where immaturity, when you fall for that game, is I'ma prove that I can do it this way. No. That's where immaturity, when you fall for that game, where if you take 15 shots and pass the ball to everyone else, we have a chance to win. Know the fuck you don't. Yeah. Know the fuck you don't. But who's telling them that, though?
Starting point is 01:18:01 We ain't said that shit on here. There ain't nobody there. But there's other mouths out there. There's other mouths out there. But if we all know when it's, when throughout history, even if people want to say what they want to throw James Harden to that conversation,
Starting point is 01:18:16 when it's on the line, he don't show up. Whatever, whatever, we know James when James, James can who? We know that, but we are, Well, James can hoop, we know that, but we are... You guys, the guys, are held to a different standard, right? He fits that, that standard that we expect, how it, us as players gonna judge you on it, right? Cause we've been there, we've been the guy
Starting point is 01:18:41 who's next to, whatever it is, we were dependent to help, try to help us win. However it went, we went down that motherfucker's swing. Swing him. Right? And I don't know if he's gonna have that look in the mirror moment. I don't know because how he played
Starting point is 01:19:04 and then the words that come out your mouth after this point I'm going to get in the lab, cool. Nobody's going to work harder than me. Everybody else that lost fucking said that exact thing. But that's what I'm saying. Those words are just to me is lip service. It's what I'm supposed to fucking say in this moment. No, it's on fucking me. I didn't get it done for my guys and Mike.
Starting point is 01:19:38 I got to do, I didn't approach this shit the way. This is what we, the guys that we, this is what they gonna go in there and say they gonna take on this whether they feel that way or fucking not they gonna put the onus on them that reading into like just phrases because we don't know the whole clip we don't but I'm just watching his play but I didn't see any do that too though. I watched the press conference. So not just the word, so it's the way you played on top of the words, right? Like fucking Sunday.
Starting point is 01:20:15 Making this motherfucker, we like, okay, game one, we like, this is now game five. And then you come to press conference after this. Cherry motherfuckers. Yeah. Like, I'm here for this. I don't know, it's hard to do. That's hard, cause I.
Starting point is 01:20:30 It's hard, but we've been. But just like anything, you'd be surprised what turns a motherfucker into a man. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I hope it's this. Because I can tell you, the moment that happened with me was USA basketball, and what's so funny is people think I got cut. I didn't get cut. The idea of that I was possibly one of the
Starting point is 01:20:53 people that was gonna get cut is what fucking set me off. Right? The fact that I'm there's only three of us that are two time all NBA players here. I'm one of them. And I'm saying, I'm taking the back seat. I'll be, I'll be the clap boy. I've been fucking y'all up in practice. I am him in practice. On that second squad. I'm giving these niggas a run for their money. But I understand this is a team thing, right? I'm just going to do my part. If you need me, whatever role when, if you,
Starting point is 01:21:24 if you go back and look, when D Wade got hurt, and it was like, Gil, come in, I came in and hit a shot, got an offensive rebound, picked up Barbosa, stole a ball, and we ended up winning that game, just in the two minutes that was up, I'm doing my part. So when I'm like, oh man, I don't wanna, you know, I got a little groin injury,
Starting point is 01:21:41 I don't wanna hold up a spot, you know, I know, you know, motherfuckers are in here trying to make a team, you know what I got a little groin injury. I don't want to hold up a spot. You know, I know, you know, you know, motherfuckers are trying to make teams, right? It is like, yeah, you know, if you need to go back, it's cool with us, because, you know, you was one of the bubble players. One of the what? Bubble. Yeah, I'm out of here.
Starting point is 01:22:05 Left, I don't know how long that flight was for, like 20 minutes. Cause all I'm thinking is all these niggas, I'm putting my workout together. I ain't sleep when I landed. First couple weeks I was in the gym, went to meditation, and it was demon time. Oh, I dig it. I mean, so we don't know what is gonna to turn, but we know when we see it. Yeah, we know. When we come out the beginning of the season,
Starting point is 01:22:28 that mother got 38, 40, 40. We're going to be like, all right. Because we've seen it with Shea. Shea loses last year. This is this year. Jokic got his ass whupped by Dwight Howard in the bubble. MVP, MVP, lost it. MVP, MVP, lost it.
Starting point is 01:22:42 I guarantee you, next year he going to be on some dumb shit. I dig it. I guarantee you next year. He gonna be on some some dumb shit. I dig it. No Yes, I'm Yeah, hopefully this is it but it's just we are We are no, yeah to a different standard young man He didn't I mean he didn't have like, okay he don't At 23 he's he's more like a me at a 23 versus a don't, at 23 he's more like me
Starting point is 01:23:07 at a 23 versus a Shea at 23. We can tell a Shea, a Cole, right, even a Tatum, like you know who's mature and who's immature, right? He's on that side, he's on my side versus on a... I dig it. So Shea had a chance to get to learn from Ant-Man. It's the team coming in. Who did Ant-Man come into Ligurta?
Starting point is 01:23:31 Nobody? No, no, it didn't. Like his real, like I can see, his only real vet has been Mike. Yeah, that's how I see it. But Mike don't have the talent that can get him to settle down. When you're talking about Shay, he's coming in with... He got Lou Chris Paul, he got Staddy Mike, then he goes with...
Starting point is 01:23:57 So he's learning how to be a pro, you know, understanding mannerism. His mannerism is just like Lou's, chill, chill back, chill, right? So that kind of fit with him. So it's easier for him to just be straight across the board. He don't go high, he don't go low, knows what to say. As I said, like if you keep your eyes closed, you really think that it's, he is the face of the league, right? He ain't going to say nothing real dramatic. if he does say something. Everybody's gonna be like, yeah, okay, yeah. You know, his cadence is cold, but it's not done yet.
Starting point is 01:24:32 We're still building. We're gonna be real scary in the next few. He has the cadence of that. So one thing we know, Anna Dunwell's marketing. His personality in commercials is always on point. Yesterday after the game, SGA's team at Converse dropped this. Said, not hard to believe. SGA's headed to the finals.
Starting point is 01:24:56 That is an ant. Nothing left to say. Unbelievable. Oh, he's a smart ant. And of course, with the believe that. Wow. Okay. Wow.
Starting point is 01:25:04 Fuck, they just said. I like it. Yeah, they get some Converse, get some smoke from you. Always and of course with the believe that Converse ain't getting no smoke. That's Nike. All right, it is still Adidas, but I Like that that that that's up my alley. Fuck the other one. I would have had a motherfucking shoe stomp. That's the one thing I felt like it was missing. Stomp the shoe with your mind on it. That's Animal Crew. Cool. That's the same Animal Crew that we get in that motherfucking real life.
Starting point is 01:25:41 Crew. That asshole. But you can tell that shit like, like this shit a little bit. But you gotta remember, I think on both sides anyway. So just like with the Knicks and stuff, I'm like, oh, I'm going to the Kendrick concert, so I'm not gonna be able to watch the game. So I pre-did a video for Pacers.
Starting point is 01:26:00 Oh, and speaking of. Switched it for Knicks, so whoever won, I'm posting it in time. Like, yeah Hey, and I facetimed your punk ass at the concert and you didn't answer the phone. You did not answer Was Kendrick going? Not yet. He hadn't got on yet. Do you get incoming facetimes? Yeah, but not incoming from the concert. The concert didn't start yet?
Starting point is 01:26:19 No, you can't get out of this. I was probably talking to the white man. No, no, no. So you You can't get out of this one. I was probably talking to the white man. No, no, no, no. I was probably talking to the white man. So you're ignoring me for the white man. No, no, because I got to say this. I got to say this. Sellout Brothers on a name, Jerry Springer Show. No, no.
Starting point is 01:26:30 No, if it's in my pocket, I don't have the username. I got to be honest that I just need it. You got the money. So the only time I was on the phone is when Scissor was going. No, no, this is when Scissor was going. I just pick Scissor like that. No, that was the only time I was on my phone. It was the only one Kendrick.
Starting point is 01:26:42 There's two black people right there. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Is there an Ant-Man versus SGA rivalry brewing in the West? No, he respect Ant-Man. Once he disrespects Shay, that's when he... He respect him too much.
Starting point is 01:26:55 No, no, they play two different positions. It's not a rivalry. It's not that rivalry. Because there's nothing that happened in that game for them. If they face each other next year and the same thing happened Then as a player you start taking this shit personal. Okay, this is what we all want play well one didn't yeah That's he gave him too much accurate assessment of this. Huh? He gave him too much respect No, no, no, no, I don't think he respected him enough. Yeah
Starting point is 01:27:23 Hey, we know what he looked like when see when he respects somebody and that's the different that when he respects somebody He's gonna say something like I want to see Kyrie. I want to see KD Lebron James No, but it's still cuz I respect him. So I'm coming with it. Shea. He's like, I'm trying to gain their respect Yeah, yeah, I'm a game. We understand we're on the same level. We both ain't done shit Here I'm looking at him as it's appeared so like we're on the same level like we're on the same level I'm not If you get it done, I'm definitely a man that's little bro, but that's what I'm saying
Starting point is 01:28:03 That's the little bro. Think's what I'm saying. That's a little bro Think about it. He wins it all and everything Now, but I'm saying now moving forward when she wins it not if when she wins this championship Now now he's now he's on my radar. So go away from 0% to 100% I was complimented. Yeah, you know compliment Yeah, we need to change it. We need they was killing us You know, I'm confident. You know, he's a flop. Yeah, yeah, we need to change it. They was killing us off the 0%.
Starting point is 01:28:26 OK, you know what? Listen, let me put my disclaimer on it. I am a Laker fan. That's my team. So my team always has a 100% chance of winning a championship, as long as they're in it. As the fans. As long as they're in the championship, they have 100%.
Starting point is 01:28:44 Right? Team Shea, the player. OKC, don't give two shits about, okay? Boston, take them. Don't give a fuck about the rest of them. Why? Right? Cavs, fuck them. Donovan Mitchell, what's happening?
Starting point is 01:29:00 Indiana, Holly, don't give a fuck about the Pacers. Okay, so if I say they have a zero percent chance, that's because my team is in it. Soon as my team is out, now I gotta reassess and reevaluate the situation. There was some reassessing. I had to reassess, what? You said they had a zero?
Starting point is 01:29:17 Bitch, the Lakers are still playing, it's the Lakers. It don't matter, it don't matter. Zero though, this is crazy. That is wild, I'm not gonna say zero. Yeah. Zero. Yeah, that is why I say zero. Yeah zero Yeah, we did say zero We did say zero Yeah, we was we was okay. We said we had no chance because Killing me about let me ask the real thing. Yeah, we was wrong. Hey, what is your chances?
Starting point is 01:29:42 The Knicks winning tonight's game. They're absolutely gonna win no question. Okay, you see see this is a real Play them it's a get to the next series. Well statistically is 4% Nick fan 100% 100% They don't three one We started 100% believe in that 4% New York believe every New York Cleveland did you not listen to damn shook the whole time in the Cleveland series they down one He's still coming back. They have all they play they feel they but that you're got Everybody that's a real a real fan. Don't you gotta kill him? I still feel like so the fact that you didn't have a hundred percent. No, no, no, no when the win playoff first started
Starting point is 01:30:38 Oh, that's crazy. I think that's impressive flip That's impressive flip. That's what I'm saying. Oh, you know, you got the Real fan is not realistic. You think cowboy fans are realistic? Do you think a cowboy fan is realistic? No, no, you think clipper Darryl in the lake. The clipper crew is realistic. You think the Lakers? Oh, he knows down three. Oh my god Huh, you seen this down three one. You told me how to stand. Yes. I You think the Lakers are down You seen this down three one you told me out of chance, yes, I could tell you that zero brain Yes
Starting point is 01:31:26 You think your son make it to the NBA see what I mean? huh? are you gonna be dope or dope? no, not today I just wanna hear your answer it's swaggy birthday with you are you gonna be delusional or are you gonna be realistic? okay? it's swaggy birthday with you you got a chance motherfuckers tomorrow you got a chance tomorrow motherfuckers it's gonna be what I said
Starting point is 01:31:42 yes, you got a chance you on the dope too you talking about Oh You want to dope to The percentage of our kids making it to the NBA is very little and the fact that you're still only 10 but 16 He's not not he's not again. Not again. So the fact that he's not going on NBA Exactly So speaking of reassessing re-evaluating Julius Randall has 31 million dollar player option He will likely decline to become an unrestricted free agent.uating Julius Randall has 31 million dollar player option he will
Starting point is 01:32:25 likely decline to become an unrestricted free agent. Who? Julius Randall. So for the playoffs Randall averaged 22.6 rebounds five assists on 50-39-88 shooting splits but he also posted the two lowest scoring games of his playoff career in the Western Conference finals six in game two and five in game four should the Wolves run it back with Julius Randall? Well, you're asking the wrong question. Rephrase that. Blow it out.
Starting point is 01:32:49 You said he is the oppin' out, right? Yeah, yeah. So it's him that's out. So should he run it back with them? Yeah. Julius running back with the Wolves. He's free, god damn it. This ain't no team option.
Starting point is 01:33:02 They got no choice. He's hitting that free market. So Yes, I'm not sorry. I mean depends on what they can At this point, what can they get? I mean, I'm trying to get rid of some of them. Nah, they got a root Did the wolves offer him a contract? That's only one problem What can you get for that all the pins and I don't swag you birthday weekend What do you have last night 24 well, yeah, that's a great. That's a that's a that's a perfect opt-out
Starting point is 01:33:36 Yeah, maybe the name of the playoff player 22 for the playoff. Yep, 24. Okay, so 20 You opting out So 24, five rebounds. You got a dribble dunk for his dream, man. You opting out? 30 million dollars. 30 million dollars, you had a good playoff series. Yeah, with him, yeah. And there's no big free agents really?
Starting point is 01:33:50 Yeah, I'm opting out. Yeah, if I'm him, yeah. If I play like shit, no. Yeah. Especially with these good contracts. These contracts. CBA bread going up. He's good, he's a good player.
Starting point is 01:34:01 Middle level is what? I said the middle level. Middle level is a hundred. Shit. Nah, he in a good place. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's's a good place. Middle level is what? I said the middle level. Middle level is 100. No, he in a good place. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's in a good place. He gave Jalen Daniels what? 130 or something?
Starting point is 01:34:11 Yeah, he got Timberwolves by the balls. Yeah. Because if he opts out and you don't sign him back, you... Y'all in the worst. You have officially lost the trade. Yeah. You might have to put in the hot seat. Officially lost the trade and your growth is... Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:31 That'll hurt. What can they get though? There's no free, is there any for, there's no... I don't know, but you got Ant over there, so somebody will wanna come play with Ant. For sure. Wanna come free agent, that's free agent, still Minnesota.
Starting point is 01:34:43 That has to be a sign of trade. They're gonna have to convince him for a sign and trade Phoenix a potential destination. It can be that has to be a sign and trade because he can walk So if he did say you now fuck that man, I'm I'm just gonna go to the Lakers, right? Three I take I take five million dollars and go there. Yeah, there's nothing the wolves can do on that. Oh, yeah I mean? I think Bradley at the three. They can accept all the connected, that's how you trade.
Starting point is 01:35:09 So we have to chat to Randall play his last game in Minnesota. 56% of the chant thinks that Julius Randall played his last game. Hell no, no, I don't think so. He going back to Minnesota. Can he go back to New York, right, if he wanted to? Could he what? Is there a time limit on it? Huh? He can't go to Brooklyn, New York.
Starting point is 01:35:32 Oh, with Julien. Know what I'm saying? I feel like he's the fall guy. Is there any rules against that? Oh, there's no rules against him. He can go right back. He would be free. He's the, I feel like Julien has always made the fall guy,
Starting point is 01:35:43 like he get blamed all the time. I'm surprised I haven't seen no collusion on something like that yet. Well, there is time, Ken. There is time. Well, let's shift over to the Eastern Conference. But you see what I'm saying, like, real, real collusion. He's not going to New York. Who?
Starting point is 01:36:00 Julius Randolph? You going back? No, no, what I'm saying is, think about what I'm saying. He got traded for a piece, right? So that piece is there. And he's the free agent. Let's say they didn't have a fallout. This was just, you know, trade money-wise.
Starting point is 01:36:11 He goes there. And he says, I'm going to go back for, you know, league minimum because a team minimum because I got some shit in the back end. That's how come? Did you go back to LA? People don't think like you, Gil. That's... How come... Did you go back to LA? People don't think like you, Gil. Did you go back to LA?
Starting point is 01:36:32 Lakers. Did that fit? The reason I started thinking about that is when you said, because shit, when Luca up, he can go back to Dallas. I've never said that. You remember when he was a free agent and somebody... Yeah! You was like, oh shit, he ended up going back to Dallas.
Starting point is 01:36:46 I think I said it. And I'm sitting here like. Thank you, thank you, Kaden. Nah, nah. I think I said that. And I was like, wait, hold the fuck on. I think I said it. You got Andy Davis, that, that,
Starting point is 01:36:57 and he still couldn't help it. Oh no, I said, Andy Davis will go back. Oh, one of them. I said, Anthony Davis will go back to the Lakers. And I was like, the ideal of that is like, damn that's scary because there's no rule that stops that from happening. Well you just got to take a pay cut to execute a Brown. Yeah, he did get some land.
Starting point is 01:37:13 The Brown did it, right? The Browns never taken a pay cut. Forty and a mule. Oh, so much to cut you, man. No, he didn't know. They had to sign a trade. Like if he would have just left and then went there, they would have had
Starting point is 01:37:27 Wiggins still But now he wanted to trade because he wanted came alive. Let's shift over Easter conference finals Game five tonight in the garden the Indiana Pacers holding a 3-1 lead in the series Next year at home for this one, but dropped games one and two at home in this series Knicks have been giving some more bench players some burn after Tibbs stuck to a tight rotation throughout most of the regular season and playoffs at this point. Carl Anthony Towns also questionable
Starting point is 01:37:51 with the left knee contusion. We broke down the film, Gil, you said. After all that. After all that. See, so this is different, like, you know, like, if it was going to Indiana, yeah, it's a wrap, but he's going back home, so he gonna try. Because he's at the crib already.
Starting point is 01:38:09 But like how game five's supposed to look, how it happened last night? They out there. Wouldn't be surprising, motherfucker, I'm walking out the tunnel like fucking Willis Reed. Got a whole cast on. How much pressure is on Tibbs to win game five? Mr. B, you said that Tibbs could be on his way out the door.
Starting point is 01:38:27 The Knicks couldn't get it done. We had Mero, our esteemed Knicks fan, here earlier this week. He said that the team improved upon where they were last season, but their roster also improved. So how much pressure on Tibbs to win game five? I mean, not just Tibbs, the Knicks. It's the team. I mean, you don't want to the Knicks, just the team. I mean, you don't want to lose at home for a game for Holly.
Starting point is 01:38:47 Yeah, you got to get a win. You got to get a win. You know what I'm saying? I think just for the city of New York. But this is a big game for Holly, man. I feel like he can really put a stamp, you know, of being one of the best, I mean, the best pure point guard, best point guard in the playoffs. I know you got SGA over there, but just the way they've been running their team and the way he's been answering the call,
Starting point is 01:39:10 the playoffs, man, if he can get it done tonight in New York, yeah, it's up. Is Tibbs coaching for his job tonight? I think the better way to play it. Yes, yes, hey, and if a nigga coaching for his job, I can tell you this. Are we gonna get fired? Yeah, it's over. If he thinks his job is on the line
Starting point is 01:39:28 It is don't ever Think you about to hear Ain't no fucking sub We play all five, four, all 48. Listen, this my job is on the line. And you really think I'm gonna go to the nigga that's named Shemitz, got them Smits. That's him. So how many people you playing?
Starting point is 01:39:57 Brunson, Brunson, you two. Listen, look with me. Listen, listen, I need you motherfuckers to be on y'all team today I'm going 48 48 and listen we win this game bonuses for you two motherfuckers They ain't in his control I'm not It is in my control listen I'm right
Starting point is 01:40:21 I'm right you motherfuckers They ain't gonna give me no water Campbell How many people you playing? Six people today? They in trouble It is in my control. Listen, I'm riding you. But you better drink your water, Campbell. Yo, how many people you playing? Six? You playing six people today? They in trouble. That's his problem. Nick's in trouble.
Starting point is 01:40:31 He ain't got no switch-ups. Tis another switch-up. I know. And ain't time to do it now. It ain't time to go to the good motherfuckers. Oh, you want to see them play? Oh, I throw ball. It ain't time to go nine and ten deep now.
Starting point is 01:40:42 Yeah. I've been going seven the whole playoff. These niggas ain't played since the last game of the season. And you're going to go, nine, 10 deep now. I've been going seven the whole playoff. These niggas ain't played since the last game of the season. You gonna go back to it? I ain't played them since the last game. They deconditioned at this point. Now you gotta play, what's his name off the bench? They deconditioned.
Starting point is 01:40:57 Freshwood, he gonna play here. One of them might be fuckin' around and pull a hamstring. I put him out there right now, no thank you. Marshall, hey man. I got, listen, I got a guarantee six and I got a half of half of one So six and a half players. I got six and a half. I got a side guy. I got you know what I got Spade here. You trying to play Towns. I got a six and a half. You trying to play Towns all the minutes. Right. His knee is already
Starting point is 01:41:24 His knee is already there Tim! There's one thing I'm not going to do. Tiff's. I'm gonna look at New York. Y'all see what I'm dealing with? Regan and Roberson. The more I watch the Pacers play. Let Roberson play for me. They remind me of my Nets team, dawg. Yeah. Like, the more I watch them play. No, they does. They remind me of my Nets teams, man. The only thing they don't have, see, they stopped at the three-point line, y'all stopped at the basket.
Starting point is 01:41:54 Yeah, well, it's just like, like, Carey was trailing. Yeah, I mean, RJ taking it. Like, we going for Carey, Lucia stopping at the three, Carey stopping at the three, Van Horn was stopping at the three. Rodney Rodgers, when he was with us, RJ taking it, we going Bakery, Lucia stopping at the three, Karris stopping at the three, Van Horn was stopping at the three.
Starting point is 01:42:09 Rodney Rogers when he was with us, he was stopping at the three. So it's- They don't have rim, they didn't have rim runners. Like I mean- Topping, they got topping, so that's what, no, he listen. It's the topping whooping. And yeah, no, they remind, they defending, they play fast, they fearless.
Starting point is 01:42:24 Any given night, somebody gonna give give you anybody can give you 30 So yeah, they remind me of my nets teams man. They made it to the finals. So You're in a good spot man the Knicks in trouble 15 game either way a 15 game either way. It's gonna be a 15 point game either way. There's gonna be one of them close. There's gonna be 15 either way. Because the game ended yesterday, I don't see this one ending 3-1-2. I think this is gonna be a Saturday, Indiana, y'all can win home, have your three games at home.
Starting point is 01:43:03 Nick's got three for they fans, you get three. I can't see them losing by 15 points, bro. Knicks not 15 points better. They not 15 points better, because they stupid. They do some shit. It's the pace, man. It's the pace. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:43:16 We've seen the pace. The first round of the finals is Sunday. We've seen the pace with this season. Come back. When is the first round? They already got it on the fifth. The finals scheduled for Thursday. Oh, Thursday it on the fifth. The finals are Thursday. Oh, Thursday.
Starting point is 01:43:27 A week from today. Oh, you get a week break? A week off. Final year. You're going to have a whole bunch of Pacers doing this. They're going to be doing this the whole motherfucking game. Final year. For looking.
Starting point is 01:43:38 My fucking production. Final start of the week from today. Because the easiest way to do it is what? A week off. Because at the end of the day from today. Because the easiest way to do it is what? That's what we call it. Because at the end of the day, how Brunson plays, you can call every foul if you want to. They're not in the habit.
Starting point is 01:43:52 They're not in the habit. Man, listen, Brunson's going to be tired. He's going to get in foul trouble. He'll be having four or five ways. Let's try this. Let's think about it on the business side. Let's talk about it on the business side. I've been thinking about it on the business side.
Starting point is 01:44:03 What the fuck happens to ESPN In all big media in a seven day in a seven day span. Well, guess what? James hey, what was abroad doing? What does anybody see LeBron? What's brought it doing? They're gonna talk about LeBron James they're gonna talk about anything that has nothing to do with the game itself because... Nah, nah, they figured out. Well, guess what? They're gonna think it's bait. Well, guess what?
Starting point is 01:44:33 Did nobody relay that message to the Indiana Pacers? Right. But they don't give a damn. That shit. You gotta talk about them. But who do they talk about during that time? The Super Bowl teams. No, they don't
Starting point is 01:44:45 When a Super Bowl is women super before the Super Bowl them football analysts is talking basketball like they've been basketball players for the years Very good take But I think it'd be good to get both They never gave a these a fan of football players, how'd they? Fair chance. There's always one team playing a little bit longer. Well, guess what? They gonna get that motherfucker this Saturday by any means.
Starting point is 01:45:10 Hey, bro, like what I said, somebody need to tell Indiana that. What? They may try that, but we've seen the Pacers. Who repping tonight, Scott Foster? Fuck you, of course. The fuck we talked about. Huh?
Starting point is 01:45:23 Can you bring that white man out here? Please get somebody to bring that white man out here. Please bring the white man. Show me who, who, who reference like. Look at the look on his face. The only win Nick's got, who was called the reference? Scott Foster ready to extend his hand. Huh, that white man right there, huh?
Starting point is 01:45:37 Hey, hey Scott. He got the whistle in his mouth. Can y'all pan up? Turn him to the side. Turn him to the side. to the side little bit low he got a whistle in his mouth good job Carol Indiana to babe I think it's over tonight too but same way with Cleveland Hallenberg about to go in there and he got a big money
Starting point is 01:46:12 Man New York is the biggest draw right now boy, they gonna get they gonna try to wait to more games So I got some bad news for you. Hmm. God foster will not be officiating the game tonight. Hold on. Hold on Then it's a hold on. Hold on. Yes Huh, no, is it just no the judge no, it is not it is Zack's Arbor's that that's proud right no Josh no the No brothers no, but Gucci man James Williams will also be on the side Good crew for tonight. Yeah, that's okay. Good. That's a fair crew Gucci is a fish. Yes. I like this crew He'd leave and good really yes, that is a lead in right they have been given instructions They're marching orders if you will have his own burn New York
Starting point is 01:46:58 Exactly fair whistle. So is that good? Yeah, Zach is a fair whistle. Goochie's Gucci. He gonna be here It's gonna be here. Gucci is gonna be Gucci. It's gonna be surviving Foster, watch. He gonna have his own surviving Foster coming soon. Like you keep talking about. All it takes is a spark. There's a fair version. So who needs-
Starting point is 01:47:20 Hey listen man, I told y'all that I don't trust them. They been down at least double digits and shit. 85% of the game they didn't play in this postseason. I don't trust them. I think they might win tonight. They might win tonight. I don't trust them, bro. They might win tonight.
Starting point is 01:47:37 Yeah, they going back home. It might be like how they did. It might be like how they did to Boston. You just said the Eway Cats, man. Boston came back and won, then New York went at home They might look at the same thing happen. Which one bet is that home crowd is the home? Yeah, like going like this was an Indiana then it's like same thing. It's a table went down
Starting point is 01:47:56 Boston one the city's riding on this one. So they gotta go hard to go home Brunson Brunson might have 40 Brunson might have 40. Brunson gonna have 40. Who else on this Knicks squad needs to step up in this game? Brunson gonna have 40. Okay but I'm sure they won't just score 40 points in the game. No he's not scoring 40. No he's not. No he's not. No he's not. No he's not. No mustache, no mustache. No mustache, no mustache. They gonna be in foul trouble. Alright. Brother they gonna be in foul trouble brother. Have you seen it? If he got 40 that means them niggas is in foul trouble right? No most of them. Then he got Brunson running on the other end. Nemhart. You know how fast they play.
Starting point is 01:48:31 EriJ McConnell. The chinbeard. They all taking turns. Wherever he's on them they picking his ass up making him somebody else bring his ball up the floor. 94. Because he it's old school style. I'm gonna go off swinging. If I'm swinging, I'm taking 27, 28 shots. He's taking 27, 28 shots brother. Every pick and roll. I dig it.
Starting point is 01:48:56 Get it out of his head. I know they don't take. No, he gonna take at least 25 shots. Absolutely. He gonna shoot him out of it. Shoot him in it or listen, he gonna shoot him in it or shoot him out of it? One of the two. I'm gonna be dead for the next one, yeah. A lot of one on one then. Absolutely. He gonna shoot him out. Shoot him in or listen, he gonna shoot him in or shoot him out of it? One or two.
Starting point is 01:49:06 I'm gonna be dead for the next year. That's a lot of one on one then. So let's talk about the other side. If I don't, I'm dead tonight. Mr. B, let's talk about your favorite player currently still in the playoffs, Tyrese Halliburton. Averting 24 points, 11 assists, 7 rebounds in the series. Coming off a 32, 15, 12 triple double with no turnovers and 4 steals. Only player in playoff history with that's that line
Starting point is 01:49:25 What are your expectations for how Lee tonight in the garden? You know to do what how he does Lead the team, you know if they need him to take over down the stretch. That's what he'll do You know, he's becoming well. He is the best pure point guard to me in the NBA But man just you know, it's gonna be the the arena is man, just, you know, it's going to be the the arena is going to be crazy. You know, the atmosphere energy is going to be crazy. But if they could just, you know, just just play their pace and do what they do, they'll be fine. Man, for me, I'm worried about his his daddy coming in New York trying to do that.
Starting point is 01:50:00 Tell you if they win, he might not make it out. Game time decision. Yeah. I can't go. he can't go to the game on the road? I'm a grown man. That's crazy. I'm a grown man. No role game. Yeah, that's not a real. Game four was in. After you had that big game with you. He was at home. It'd be smart for him not to have his pops in that environment. Yeah, yeah, I don't think he should have his dad. We'll keep it to whole game. It'd be smart for him to try and not. He doesn't wait till the champion. He'll go on and okay. Joe Jackson would never. Joe Jackson right in the game. New York Blues, his daddy in the crowd.
Starting point is 01:50:38 Oh yeah. He's seeing his whole ass get bumped out. He can come back to every game. Hell yeah. They just lay him down with the towel. Let's get him a sweet. They had body. They did.
Starting point is 01:50:50 At home he got to be in the sweet. Put him back on the court. I need ten toes on the wood. Put him in the sweet man. Put him in the sweet. Let him wave his towel man. The Howley towel. He learned his lesson.
Starting point is 01:50:59 Do you think he watches that Howley towel or he just? No but I'm excited for Howley man. He has a chance right now to put the way. Yeah, I think and for sure No, he can it's a lot right where he could talk his shit and for sure for sure. He's nuts. This is a big game for him Hey, so aside from Halle seems like a different player steps up It's the game five shoulder to score. Okay, fine. This is game five. They lost the game fire yet Well, you said what is this a what no sir. So we say Yeah, who they have not?
Starting point is 01:51:31 They have lost the game fire yet Pacers in five all throughout this posting So we've seen Aaron East from this step up. I'll sky see y'all can Ben Mather and I'll have big performances off the series Who are you anticipating having a big game for the Pacers in game five? performances off the series, who are you anticipating having a big game for the Pacers in game five? For the Pacers? Siakam back in Madison Square Garden. Siakam. Can beat Cleveland.
Starting point is 01:51:49 Siakam heard what Gil said. Ever since he heard that, he been hooping. Yeah, he should. Can't beat, can't beat King A. You can't have Steven A. Smith out there talking about you in the number two option. Liss. Nah, they gonna step up.
Starting point is 01:52:02 But him, yeah, I think I think he You know what I just want to do that I wish it I think all everybody gonna play well Well, everybody gonna play well We got a special guest making her first appearance in Gills Arena. Two time Olympic gold medalist, first boxer male or female ever to win gold in back to back Olympic games. She's also the first boxer to hold three undisputed titles
Starting point is 01:52:34 at three different weight classes. 16 and 0 with three knockouts, the number one pound for pound women's boxer in the world. The undisputed women's heavyweight champion known as The Gwoap, the greatest woman of all time, Clarissa Shield. Welcome to Gill's Arena presented by Underdog. Gwoat Gwoat got the belt.
Starting point is 01:52:51 Gwoat. I feel like my heels are making real calls. Welcome, welcome, welcome. How are you? Hi. How you doing? I'm good. Step everybody up, high five, whatever.
Starting point is 01:53:01 How you doing? Big, big thing. Hey, see you. Got the Gwoat in the building with the belt. I'm sitting here? Oh, right over there. Right over there. Oh, OK.
Starting point is 01:53:10 Yeah, I'm about to say this is a little. Don't let Swaggy hold your butt. You might not see it again. No, I'm going to say it right there. OK, keep it right there. Keep it right there. How you doing, Cloris? We appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:53:18 Go ahead. This is the champion side of the couch. OK. Look. This motherfucker heavy. I know. I got 17 of these. I only brought count. Okay. This motherfucker heavy. I know. I got 17 of these.
Starting point is 01:53:27 I only brought two. Talk it. You left another 15. Okay. You got 15 more. You got 17. Yeah. We appreciate you pulling up.
Starting point is 01:53:35 How you doing today? I'm good. How y'all doing? We all right. Good. Good. We all right. We all right.
Starting point is 01:53:43 So on Saturday, July 26th. We all, hold on. We all, you know what I mean? on Saturday, July 26th. Wait, hold on. We all, you know what I mean? He going to defend himself. The rest of us. I got on hands so y'all might be good. Yeah, you know. You can whip pretty much everybody's ass on the counter.
Starting point is 01:53:51 We good. We good. We know what hands look like around here. I'm going to tuck mine in real quick. Tuck mine in. So on Saturday, July 26th, you defending your title against Lonnie B. Brown. You know what I mean? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:53:59 You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean? I'm gonna tuck mine in real quick. Tuck mine in. So on Saturday, July 26th, you defending your title against Lonnie Daniels at the Little Caesar Arena in Detroit. How you been preparing for this upcoming fight? Um, one I've just been like changing my diet up so I haven't been able to eat my fried food like I want to. going to gallon of water, running, hitting the pads,
Starting point is 01:54:26 jumping rope, like I know I'm really in shape when I can jump rope 30 minutes straight. So right now I'm like at 10. Wait, 30 minutes straight, no break? Just going, yeah. Yeah, that's the way I know I'm like, damn, you in tip top shape. But right now I'm running eight, 30 miles.
Starting point is 01:54:42 I'm trying to get it down to seven minutes before the fight. So I'm working, I'm working. Is it true you only spar against men? Yeah. Oh, okay. How many times you won? What do you mean won? Against men.
Starting point is 01:54:54 Man, I'm just playing. I'm just playing. I'm just playing. I don't wanna get in. I'm just playing. I'm glad that you brought up sparring, right? So sparring with the men is just like, I can't spar with the women.
Starting point is 01:55:03 I have to take it easy on them. But I'm getting ready for real combat and I'm trying to knock girls out all the girls that I fight against are very strong and big I mean the last guy fought against uh, Daniel Perkins. He probably built like you a little bit, you know and She wasn't nobody to be played with so when I spar against the men I can actually Throw my punches and see what I'm working with so when I go to the fight you know but it's just work it's just practice but I don't I don't say like I beat my sparring partners up but I definitely don't get my ass kicked. When did you start that like just just sparring with men? At the age of 11. Oh shit Yeah, it's 20 years 20 years it is so when I was 15 I started against my first grown man
Starting point is 01:55:50 He was 23. I was 15. I whipped his ass But she can punch through me There's some grown men in here to neither I think that's an event that that's been an advantage of yeah making it. So all the girls can spar against the men, but can they keep up is the question. You know, can they? One, I'm not going to go in there and go strength with anybody, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:56:13 That's not smart. I'm going to go in there and use my feints. I'm going to use my head movement. I'm going to use my body shots. When you fighting against somebody who's strong, you hit them to the body to weaken them. Then you get them. That's how I spar against all the men. all come in there real strong real fast real slick
Starting point is 01:56:28 And when I get the putting them to that body everybody slow down and when they slow down That's not pick it up on their ass Yeah, see it's a strategy. I have a similar strategy when I Say we use at the table you okay, but I had a certain strategy. Okay. I'm just kidding. Okay, fine. I was gonna say when you was at the table, you had a certain strategy. Okay, I thought we were sticking together today, but I see we have grown apart. We have grown apart on this side. I thought we were sticking together.
Starting point is 01:56:50 Master Payles on this side. Master Payles on this side. I was looking at your steaks, why you ain't ever gonna lie. Hey, somebody just said, I'm nervous. I said, no, I'm nervous too. You just, you ain't hear that? That was quick.
Starting point is 01:57:02 We both went just like this. No, like get your pick. Get your dog, man. You know how to land them, but you start to punch. Before a living. I think that damn. We both moved like this. Just throw the motherfuckers before a living, bro.
Starting point is 01:57:17 So for fans who have not had the chance to watch you before, what can fans expect to see from Mc Clarence or Shields fight? You can expect a lot of excitement, a lot of punches, a lot of power shots. You can expect to hear whoop that trick throughout the round. Whenever I fight up in Detroit throughout the rounds, they're chanting whoop that trick and it's like a movie. It's crazy. I like the movie by the way too. The. It's crazy. I like the movie, by the way, too.
Starting point is 01:57:45 The Fireman side, yes. Shout out to Ryan Destiny. He played me to the team. Hey, girl, what's all that shit you be talking about Detroit? Hm? Huh? Huh? What's that, Detroit hater?
Starting point is 01:57:59 Who? Who? You be hating on Detroit? Detroit what? Detroit anything. The 313. I had never even, what? The 313? Oh, nah. I ain't shit out13. I had never even, what? The 313.
Starting point is 01:58:05 Oh, nah. I ain't shit out there. I watched the movie. Huh? Ain't shit. Everybody in the 313. It ain't shit in Detroit. You a god damn, I'm a saying ass.
Starting point is 01:58:12 What you mean? It ain't shit in Detroit. You crazy. He probably the only thing that came out of Detroit. Nah. I came out of Flint. I'm gonna go to Detroit. When I'm from Flint, y'all think I'm from Detroit,
Starting point is 01:58:21 but I'm from Flint. Oh, you're from Flint, okay. I thought you was your family. Detroit. Oh, yeah Flint. Oh, yeah, I'm from Flint. Y'all think I'm from Detroit, but I'm from Flint. Oh, you ain't from there? Okay, I thought you was from Detroit. Oh, yeah, Flint. Oh, yeah, I'm from the Flint. Hey, Flint stones. Now, hold on. Detroit and Flint are a little different, but Flint got some legends.
Starting point is 01:58:33 Yes. Literally legends. Like what? McTinkley. Oh, okay. McTinkley? Yeah, look at that. You don't even know. You said McTinkley?
Starting point is 01:58:39 Come on, man. From the faith of Flint. Come on now. McTinkley. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Right now we got Kyle Kuzma, we got Monta Morris in the NBA. We got the Gogue, Clarece and G. Come on now. Yeah, come on now Flint. You know who I'm gonna Flint?
Starting point is 01:58:54 It's from Flint, Michigan. Hey Clarece. Hey Clarece. Okay. Matina Cleaves in Michigan State in 2000. That one got a championship because of one thing and one thing only. And what was that one thing? So we're gonna put an asterisk by that got a championship because of one thing and one thing only. And what was that one thing?
Starting point is 01:59:06 So we're going to put an asterisk by that one. What was that one thing? Kenya Martin got hurt. They whipped y'all ass. They said they would have no problem. Oh, you're making excuses for losing? No, no excuses. No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:59:14 Well, Michigan State did win. You can ask them. Go ask them. Go ask them. Well, didn't they win more than one though? But that one, it was productive. But the other ones, they still won. That was good, that was good, but that one, it's like, ah.
Starting point is 01:59:22 Ah, no, see that's, that's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about. But that one, we dubbed them. But the other ones, they still won. That was good, but that one, it's like, ah. Ah, no, see that's. Yeah, go ask them, that's it. We dubbed them by 20, so we knew it all. Oh, that's it?
Starting point is 01:59:34 Yeah, we played this. They didn't want to play us in 2000. They came there, so we beat them by 20. Yeah, I got hurt in the conference tournament, so they benefited. Yeah. They won it all. A W is a W.
Starting point is 01:59:43 So we're similar. I was born in Saginaw, just so you know. Oh, you close we can so we can say I was born in Saginaw just so you close. Yeah. I was born in Saginaw. I was raised in Dallas but my mom everybody from Saginaw. So, okay. Somebody. So fights are gonna be turned up then I think it's safe to say. No, it is. It is and Lani is coming with her whole New Zealand crowd and everything. She come with her tribe. She gonna do like the. Oh, that whole. The whole ritual. that thing coming out um yeah she may have lost early in her
Starting point is 02:00:13 career you know but she's been rebuilding herself back up she got two world titles and she thinks she got enough in it to come to come and meet me so I look forward to it. So I have a question for you are you in I might butcher her first name, Alyssa Bumgarner, like are y'all in the same weight class or can y'all fight or y'all, is you are in a higher weight class than her? Clout.
Starting point is 02:00:35 Oh, okay, hey, I'm just asking. Clout. Okay, hey. She's a clout fighter. Oh, I'm just asking. You asked the girl for it. And you know what, and the thing is, Jake Paul.
Starting point is 02:00:44 I, That's Jake Paul. That's the girl from... And you know what, and the thing is, I... That's Jake Paul. Me and Alicia used to be cool, but now it's like, it's like a, I'll just be honest, I don't really fuck with her like that. Damn. You know, but just with that being said, a fighter who fights at 130 should never open their mouth
Starting point is 02:00:58 to call it a fighter who fought at 160. And the lowest I fought is 154. So now we're not talking about 30 pounds, but 24 pounds. Now I'm fighting against heavyweight women who are 175 and 175 plus. So could it be the Bud and Canelo kind of a thing? Bud come up. You have to ask your friend if she's going to come up and fight me. I just met the lady once. I just... I'm just saying.
Starting point is 02:01:21 I just because it was said that she was good about the people're gonna introduce me to her a pit bull like this is the difference Oh, I'm like a pretty pit bull. She like a she like a little tough poodle. Okay She's good She cool I'm just saying no action. She cool, I'm just saying. I don't want no action. Sometimes. Oh, I dig it. Trust me. You got the big dogs and you got the little dogs.
Starting point is 02:01:49 I'm with you. So, what I call them, so you got porch puppies, and you got dogs that actually... If you want to teach them... They like getting the feel, yeah. If you want to teach them a lesson, you can. I'm all for it. He okay. Because I'm all for it.
Starting point is 02:02:01 I'm all for it. He try to fight me. He try to fight the other day. If you want to, you can jump if you want. Just throwing it out there if you want. Hey, she leaving after this. Hey, you gonna be here by yourself. You gonna be here by yourself.
Starting point is 02:02:18 She leaving after this. So what's the advantages of, like who doesn it hurt if you try to move down or someone trying to move up? Which? I think losing that weight. Because it's always that someone's kind of like which one? I feel like losing a weight is pretty tough. So I started at 168 in my career, then I went down to 60, then I went down to 54, then I
Starting point is 02:02:42 went back to 60 and now I'm at 75. And I have to say, when I went to 54, strangely, okay, I'll make the story quick. Strangely, I was supposed to fight in Flint, but the fight got canceled because a man got knocked out. The girls' coach got knocked out for being disrespectful at the weigh-in, right? So my fight got canceled, but I made the weight at 154 pounds.
Starting point is 02:03:04 The next day, my whole body cramped up Now I was like even though I couldn't fight and I wanted to fight and my opponent was ready to fight But she wasn't gonna fight without her coach So we had to postpone the fight, but me I lost 35 pounds in like eight weeks And I made the weight and I felt okay But literally the next day I don't know if it I'm I can say stress added to it because I had got my fight canceled But the fact that I lost all that weight the next day
Starting point is 02:03:34 I literally felt my whole body just like cramp up and I never felt that before So me and that girl fought and we fought at 154 pounds, but it was two or three months later Which I was able to keep my weight down Um eat right and actually be able to be hydrated at that weight but when I first got down there it it felt terrible. Is it the sauna? You got a little muscle. They be sitting there with sweat bags. Do you lose power? Like do you lose power dropping down? I believe so because I haven't I haven't it felt felt this strong ever in my career until I fought at 175 like now you see The when I land on a girl you see like okay now she reacting now. I'm dropping them now
Starting point is 02:04:16 I'm knocking them out like that wasn't till 175 came. How was the UFC experience like? How was the UFC experience? Like the ultimate fight? How was that? Yeah, yeah. PFL was fun, you know. I proved a bunch of haters wrong. They all talking about some boxers can't do MMA and I'm gonna get armbarred and submit it and I went over there and I kicked those girls ass.
Starting point is 02:04:38 Ultimate street fighters. Smoke. Smoke. Love it, bro. So the training for that versus the training for boxing. Oh my God. Like what is... Come on now.
Starting point is 02:04:49 MMA I have to be honest, MMA is way harder. Maybe because I've done boxing my entire life, but MMA was different. You have to look out for so much more than just punches, right? I had to train six months for each fight. And I had to practice mostly on what do you do when you get taken down? How do you avoid takedowns? How do you get out of arm bars? How do you get out of chokes?
Starting point is 02:05:09 Nobody's gonna, no smart MMA fighter's gonna go on there and try to fight with you. Not at all. I got hands. Now. Yes. I got hands. They got feet, hands, elbow.
Starting point is 02:05:22 Hey, feet, hands, elbows. They can stomp on your toe, try to choke you out. Hey, it's... Good thing. I think the worst thing I ever did to anybody was knee him in the face in MMA. And I was like, that's kind of brutal. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:34 But it was like, we worked on it in the gym and coach said, we move our head over here, you knee her. And I said... And I did that in Saudi. And I was like, dang, I kneeed her in the face. That's crazy. And... You know what type of brain you got.
Starting point is 02:05:44 You got the way with it, right? You got the way's crazy. You know what type of brain you got? You got way with it, right? You got way with it. You know what type of mentality you got to have? Yeah, that's what you're thinking about. That's what they do. I know. No, that shit real, man. You got to be different, dog, to get in there.
Starting point is 02:05:55 You got to be crazy to let somebody try to tackle you and then you sprawl and then you jump back up and just start back punching. It's called sprawling bra. And that's what I'm great at. I was when them girls started to take me down. but oh here she come, oh get your legs back, get up, boom boom boom, you gotta fight. And I, listen I enjoyed those fights, but man it was just hard because they put their head and stuff all in your neck and in your face
Starting point is 02:06:17 they hold you against the cage, they kicking you. I mean I got kicked in the face a couple times. God damn. They kneeing you in your stomach, that's the difference between punching your couple times. God damn. In your stomach, you ready? That's a different punch than the stomach needed. The stomach has to be there. MMA is crazy. And I think you have to be crazy to do it.
Starting point is 02:06:32 So I applaud myself for doing it three times and hanging that shit on there. What's up? Thinking about seeing someone you need. So with so much success that you have, how is it dealing with family and friends? Good question. you know, that you have. How's it dealing with family and friends? Good question. So, I mean, on the way up, everybody is very supportive
Starting point is 02:06:50 and everybody wants you to make it, but it's like once you make it, they kinda, I don't know where all the jealousy and the entitlement comes from. We like family and stuff, you know. I try to, I try figuring it out, and it's nothing to figure out. It's like people growin', but they want you to basically,
Starting point is 02:07:08 whatever you get, they want. You know, and I just can't do that. So now in my life, I'm just more of a, you messed up one time with me, it's kinda over with. Yeah, I'm not. Too much entitlement. Yeah, I used to give people chances and try to fix it and try to figure out what's wrong,
Starting point is 02:07:25 why you upset at me, all this stuff. Now I'd be like, OK, great for you. And I just kind of move on because where I'm trying to go in my life and in my career, I just don't have time for somebody to keep, oh, you got a $100,000 chain on, but I live out here. It's like. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:42 Shit, learn to fight. Yeah, you do. Learn to fight. Get a job. Learn to fight. It's like Yeah. Shit, learn to fight. Yeah, you do. Learn to fight. Get a job. Learn to fight. Stop being dead weight. Learn to fight.
Starting point is 02:07:51 So this is what we talked about on the show before. It's unfortunate, but it's the thing. Like, it's like when you made it, it's we made it. And it's that, and then it's when you do say yes, it's, yeah, like it's applauded, but it's this short memory thing. It's in the microwave, right? As soon as you do it, they forget about it until the next time. And then that gets old.
Starting point is 02:08:15 Right. I'm saying you're growing as you're not changing as a person. You're growing as a person and other people, they can't deal with that group. You know what? What I what I think it is, when you come from a certain place with somebody, and y'all grew up together, and you continue to grow, and they kinda stay at a standstill, you get more successful, and you get more money,
Starting point is 02:08:34 you get better, or whatever, I think, it's not that they're mad that you made it, they're like, why, why was it just you? Like, what was so good about you to where I didn't grow, I stayed here, and you made it up here. So it's not a, it's more of them feeling bad for themselves but they take it out on you. Yes.
Starting point is 02:08:51 Okay, we talked about, Oh, we talked about that on playback. Remember we talking about being careful who you bring with you? Like, you know, trying to, just like, you know, just like anything, just like part of we have friends, we have friends we can't take in public.
Starting point is 02:09:03 Yes. Right. Yeah. You know what I mean? But that we can't take in public. Yes, right. Yeah, you know what I mean? But that- Can't take everybody anyway. You can't, but that's family. When you make it to a certain level, if you got six family, all six can't go. Because all six ain't mentally or ready
Starting point is 02:09:20 to go to that next level. And they don't know how to, when you get there, they still gotta train themselves to get there. And that's what they don't know how to, when you get there, they still got to train themselves to get there. And that's what they don't want to do. They want you to just bring them with them and. I think about Jay-Z when he was talking on the camera, everybody was in the back like, ah, it was going crazy. He just stand there like.
Starting point is 02:09:35 Yeah. You could just tell he kind of outgrew everybody. They were in the back just still being. Everybody can't get a family room pass. Yeah, right. Yeah. You bring your own certain. What? Through your partners, they can't get a family room pass. You bring your own certain, through your partners,
Starting point is 02:09:46 they can't get a family room pass. So it's this song out there, John Luke is called Bro-Sky. It's what we're talking about, right? It's that. So the song is, the dude is talking to his homeboy, but his homeboy is jealous that he made it, every time you did something I was there and I ain't saying nothing now like why you made it and I didn't basically so the song I'm like hey I'm joining Lucas that shit dope bro right it put everything as I got older then I heard that song it put my life in perspective right just certain shit you hear along the way it puts certain things in that category where they need to be. Do you still got the same trainer or?
Starting point is 02:10:29 No. Oh, OK. So me and Jason, we won our first world championship together. And we won the first Olympics together. And then we didn't work together no more. And then we came back together when I turned pro. We won our first world title together. Then after that, we started working together again.
Starting point is 02:10:46 And it's nothing against Jason. Is that different from having, like, are you like, like I would be superstitious. Oh, no. To have something, to leave somebody. I can have Pap in the corner. I'm going to win my fight. OK, OK.
Starting point is 02:10:59 It don't matter. No, it don't matter. I can have y'all in the corner. I'm going to win my fight. Sorry. It's all on me. I know what I'm doing And you know that's the thing about Knowledge, right when somebody teach you something is yours forever
Starting point is 02:11:12 And I was gladly I was taught how to box and I'm a great fighter on the inside So me being taught how to box head movement defense offense angles or stuff that I know I'm not gonna forget that just because I have a different trainer. What's your favorite punch? Like what's your, what's your, My? I'm finna get this, yeah, this is the one.
Starting point is 02:11:35 My right hand is real nasty. I got a real nasty right hand. And I got a secretive hook. And I'm a power jabber, so all that flicking everybody be doing, I'm quite sure y'all watch my fights. You'll never see that. Jab is like my right hand. So the jab is just in your face.
Starting point is 02:11:52 And it's like. Putting that stick on him constantly. All right, throw out the whole 10 rounds if we got to go that line. I dig it. So Boxer known to be very superstitious. Do you have any superstitions as you prepare for a fight? Just one.
Starting point is 02:12:04 Just one, and it's kind of I mean I want to hear your mouth No, I just I Stay away from sex about four to six weeks and now have every fight. Y'all have to well people say that we Say y'all should. That we shouldn't for Hold on I know champions who don't like Krofer tell you He do it a day of and Tyson Me, I'm like four to six weeks. I cannot do that I dig it. Yeah, so he ain't got no ass in the way
Starting point is 02:12:40 We still a month, we still two months out He can't show. Welcome to the arena, dog. Welcome to the arena, my nigga. I thought you went on talk to y'all, man. No, I think, no, hey, there's something to it. So it was like that in the league for some dudes, right? There was some dudes who went like night before, day of, and some of us, right before we go get on that bus, if she's still there, we go, hey, we go obliged, God damn it, go right out there and give you 25.
Starting point is 02:13:16 There's a teammate who, like at a certain time before the game, he had to go to the parking lot and get it. Cause he did it once accidentally then scored. But y'all ain't fighting though. Yeah, that's right. I know. Don't nobody want to be relaxing. You got a pit bull on your ass.
Starting point is 02:13:31 Yeah. Like, if a pit bull ran here right now, everybody going to get the fuck up and run fast. Like, y'all going to dip. You like dogs? But I'm not going to run from the dog. You ain't going to run from the dog. I am. You ain't going to run from the dog.
Starting point is 02:13:44 I'm going to push you. Man, you ain't lying. You ain't lying. You ain't lying. You ain't lying. from the dog certain things right you hit a dog right here he go motherfucking wrong. That's a different story. That's how it is for me inside the ring. People is crazy. No look when you're getting ready for a fight these girls don't have not even half or 10% of what I have. They haven't accomplished what I, if they beat me, it changed their whole life. You can watch them and be like, oh, does she fight like this and like that? She coming to the fight being 10 times better than that because she know if she drop me, if she hurt me,
Starting point is 02:14:40 if she beat me, it's gonna change her whole life. When you got somebody in there like that, girl like that who you know, these girls are like damn, they're coming to kill you. I'll be playing with these girls. This is what I, I reference this right with people. So, I try not to get there, but I tell people, I tell them, listen, your mad not gonna equal my mad.
Starting point is 02:14:59 There you go. It's just, that's, it's not. So, with certain situations, I just, you go go there we can go there, but it's not going I'm gonna take it all the way there which and that's the one you in that environment. I can understand I'm about punching the livelihood. It's you trying to hurt me Like oh so I can only imagine when you get there when you are to have that mentality like yeah daily and When somebody's actually trying to harm you I can only imagine like that only thing about being harmed these girls can't fuck No, but you try not to let them know
Starting point is 02:15:32 The defense is there cuz I want to show like I got skills but Listen, you got to do it Nick. I'd be so excited to fight. I'm a Gotta do it is I've lost twice before, absolutely. Right? It's still a discipline, and you've been fighting since 13. 11. 11. So where did that number come from? Is that a trainer?
Starting point is 02:15:52 Is that another professional that said this is a time frame? Did you read something? Because it's... No. I go for how my body feels, right? So one, I'm not like a lot of women. I didn't start doing that till I was 17, after I won the Olympics.
Starting point is 02:16:10 So I wasn't like young, just getting it in. 17, I'm like, okay, now I guess I have a boyfriend and I can do this stuff now. Then after that, as I can see in my boxing career, you hear these things, so of course you gotta test it out. So I had a little boyfriend I had, and we did it the week of and then I fought and I was like Oh my god is it was for me. It was terrible. It was terrible I said I ain't doing that shit no more
Starting point is 02:16:35 so then I went to a to a month and then I and then I'm like, okay, let's try going without it for a month And you know telling telling a young man that is, you know, definitely an issue. So of course you get cheated on, whatever. And whatever, but I fought better. I fought better, so I'm like, well, he can go on and do whatever the fuck he wanna do, long as I win. So now that we have four weeks now,
Starting point is 02:17:01 I just kinda kept that whole thing with me throughout my career. Like the Olympics, I my career like the Olympics I mean, but the Olympics though I probably went three months without because I didn't even have a boyfriend at the time and I was just strictly focused on just You trying to win a gold medal be the best in the world. It's it's it's tough You know, you really can't think about anything else but but winning so yeah I mean, but that's I think that's a decent time and
Starting point is 02:17:27 The men that I've been with, I let them know that before we even got in a relationship. And if they can't do it, I'd be like, okay, cool. I understand, but I'm not gonna let nobody come in between me and my career over something. That's what I said. If they care about you, they gonna understand that. If they wanna be with you, they gonna understand it. They gonna want this for you
Starting point is 02:17:42 and they not gonna make an issue. You know what I'm saying? they I just like to put you for discipline part because if that's a since you've you know been younger that That's crazy Who's somebody you want to come to your fights and see you? Well somebody that you were one to come. Yeah, see like a soul Lord have mercy. Um Everybody I want I want I want Beyonce to come to a fight Give her a nice sofa chair don't put in a regular Pull up goddamn it Beyonce to come
Starting point is 02:18:19 With somebody that came that you was like, oh shit Diddy I think little diddy oh honestly who came to my fight that I was just like I can't believe that they here had to be um you make me forget. There you go it was Terrence Crawford to be honest with you and then Shakur came to a fight um who else came Andre Ward came to a fight. I remember when all of them came as like a collective I think I was fighting for my third Undisputed title yeah and um Terrence was there Andre Ward was there Shakur was there and um I don't know it's like when you got people who you look up to at your fight, it just made me over perform.
Starting point is 02:19:09 And I just remember being like, I got to make history in front of them. And I'd be going to their fights, you know what I'm saying? But it's just different to, cuz I'm a woman, I guess, for them to actually come and be in the crowd and show that excitement and I support. So question for you, Terrence got a shot? I'm about to say that. I want to say who? You got a shot at Bud?
Starting point is 02:19:28 I mean, should Bud have a shot at Canelo? Absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely. Listen, that's Swain right there. OK. I dig it. The fact that, you know he's from Omaha, Nebraska.
Starting point is 02:19:40 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Same thing. No, it's not. Definitely not. Swain has a protection. Let's get back to the question. Same thing, same thing. No, it's not. Definitely not. That's why you have to protect yourself. Let's get back to the question. Let's not protect yourself. So, you heard him over there talking to me. Hold on.
Starting point is 02:19:49 So, before you heard him over there talking before, he has two imaginary friends, Cedric and Rodney. He was not speaking with you. So, don't let, he was talking to them when he distracted you and like he was talking to Cedric and Rodney. It had nothing to do with you. Okay, okay. So, back to the, like, back to what we were speaking about.
Starting point is 02:19:57 So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, back to what we were speaking about. So, to Cedric and Rodney. It had nothing to do with you
Starting point is 02:20:06 Okay, so back to the like no back to what we were speaking about Terrence definitely has a shot not only because well one let's talk about something the man undefeated It's a different mentality that undefeated fighters got can he hurt Canelo? Come on now. Absolutely It's uh, first of all hurting somebody is not about no weight class. I dig it. It's getting me the right spot, but... It's about how you punch. It is. Karen Strong as hell.
Starting point is 02:20:30 But Canelo been hit by Gennady Golovkin. That's what I don't think... And they fought at 54. That was with 68. They fought at 54. 68. Who? Gennady Golovkin and... You got to do your homework.
Starting point is 02:20:42 Gennady Golovkin and Canelo. Triple G and Canelo fought at 154. They did not fight at 68. 60 or 68. I think it was 54. 154. Triple G ain't never been at 54. Is you crazy?
Starting point is 02:20:56 Triple G ain't never been at 54. How come he never fought against Andre Ward? Triple G ain't never been at 54. You crazy? He ain't never fought at 54. He did. No. Do we gotta, somebody bring it up. Bring it up. They fought at 54. He did. He didn't want to fight for it. No. Do we got to somebody ring it up?
Starting point is 02:21:05 Bring it up. He didn't fight at 54. Bring it up. They fought at 60 and 68. Triple J ain't never fought no 68. He ain't fight at 158. Well, why he never fought against Ward? Andre Ward was 68, 75.
Starting point is 02:21:18 You right? It was 60, it wasn't 54. Canelo didn't fight at 54. Am I going to look it up? 22 and 168. Yeah, they didn't fight at 54. Am I gonna look at that? 22 and 168, Super Middleweight. Yeah, they didn't fight at 54. Who fights Super Middleweight?
Starting point is 02:21:28 Canelo? Yes, Canelo. Yeah, they didn't fight at, they didn't ever fight at 54. That's crazy. Trust me. Hey, I do, hey, you got me there. Wait, wait, wait, wait. One thing I do now.
Starting point is 02:21:38 One thing I do now. Is a different class? Yes. So 54, 60, 63 years? So they fought 60 or 68? That's the truth. They fought at 61st and then 68. They definitely fought at 68 in 2022.
Starting point is 02:21:48 Huh? Canelo and Golovkin fought at a catch weight of 155 in the first fight. For the second fight they both weighed in at 160 which is the middleweight limit. Yeah, the super middleweight I think. It wasn't number 54, they never was that... Well, 55 definitely happened. Well yeah, but I've never heard somebody switch and do that because I will fight against the same way because they made I don't know. I'm watching that. Let's go watching that. Look, please. I know, one thing I do, like, I'm a big, I've transitioned over to the men's side of UFC
Starting point is 02:22:32 and stuff like that, but I've been a big time boxing fan for a long time. Yeah, no, you definitely had me there. Like, through the triple, through Andre Ward and them, and they, Kalzack and them doing the round robbing thing where they all fought trying to see who was gonna go and all that Kessler and SuperSix, Kessler, Kazaki out. I'm like I'm Yeah, I'm okay. So so you you you in tuned. Yeah, I know I'm in tune with Worldstar. Yeah This fucking fool Don't pay them no mind.
Starting point is 02:23:06 So, Undisputed Champ, three different weight classes. What's it like for you having to deal with boxers ducking you though? People that talk a bunch but when it's time to get the deal done, they not ready. It's annoying. It's annoying. But it's also too like, you know what, I already know I can smoke everybody, so I don't really get mad when they turn it down. I've been doing that already. She will, that's crazy. Do you think you need somebody else like you in women's boxing?
Starting point is 02:23:32 What's her favorite boxer? Like a stealth? If you like that, you like that. You like LeBron, but don't you feel like you need one? Yeah, there you go, LeBron, Kobe, Muhammad Ali, the rest of the shields. OK. But do you need somebody else?
Starting point is 02:23:43 Do I need a dance partner? I like somebody that helps to help you bring the sport up. We only come to see you fight. To help them bring the sport up? They better train and get better. That's not my problem. It's not. Can't you look at everybody else? I can.
Starting point is 02:23:51 I will. Does them dodging you hurt your bag? Nah. It doesn't? Okay. Making a million and something next fight too. Oh, shit. Without them.
Starting point is 02:23:59 I'm not going to do that. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. But does them dodging you hurt your bag? Nah. It doesn't? Okay.
Starting point is 02:24:07 Making a million and something next fight too. Oh shit. Without them. Okay. See that's the thing. I don't need, you know. What you saying like if they do what the money go. Like you dodging.
Starting point is 02:24:17 No, no, like if we're going back and forth and we get the hype and the money is going up and then you dodge it. They're not going to fight her, bruh. Huh? They not going to fight her. I know I know but does that does that hurt? It's about matchmaking. No, I still make the money. For her it's about the fight. For other people it's about matchmaking, dog They're not gonna put these prize fight or they need that older remain. They're not gonna put them in there with her No, I know that I know the ass one part. I'm saying just for the hype You know how like sometimes two people That's what I'm saying
Starting point is 02:24:45 Bag goes up like yeah I mean so I made my first meal fighting against Savannah Marshall I don't know if y'all watched the fire inside but that's the girl that beat me in the amateurs right before the Olympics, right? So we fought I fought against her in the pros For the under 30 championship at 160. I went all the way to the UK to whip her ass. Okay. Yeah 20,000 fans There made my first million. Boom. I'm fighting against girls who not even known like her and don't got as much notoriety as her and guess what I'm still making a meal a million some change now. So what I've learned that
Starting point is 02:25:17 it's not really about my opponents. I have that Mike Tyson effect. When Mike Tyson was coming up you didn't care about who Mike Tyson was far You could probably name six seven people, but you showed up and got your ass in the seat because you knew 18 seconds this shit gonna be over he can get this over in 18 Seconds two three rounds you you didn't want to miss it and that's what I and that's what I have You know, you're gonna get an action-packed fight and somebody gonna get hurt. We're not somebody them what I have you know you want to get an action-packed fight and somebody gonna get hurt well not somebody them. So speaking of that we got a clip of how your last fight with Daniel Perkins ended back in February we want to see
Starting point is 02:25:52 for everybody. Here it comes, here it comes. Here it comes. Ha! Yo, yeah. That's that big dog right there. Yeah, that's Big Woke. Daniel, go like you, I told you that right? I know, I see it like that.
Starting point is 02:26:16 You gotta be standing. Yeah. Hey, she hit that fitting all lean. Crazy. Hey, she hit that fitting all lean dog. Hey, her girl hit the she didn't fall all the way That grill dofe lean Oh, that's that dope feeling that is a dope absolutely Daniel was tough as hell. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah Strongest girl in fought again one man. So like we talked about at the beginning of your segment, you're fighting July 26th,
Starting point is 02:26:46 Little Caesar in the Detroit against Lonnie Daniels. What's your prediction for the fight against Lonnie Daniels on July 26th? July 26th, first I predict that 19,000 going to be in the building, get your tickets on Ticketmaster. Okay. And then I predict that honestly I have watched Lonnie Daniels film And I've watched her interviews, and I've seen what she what she bring into the table and I've actually
Starting point is 02:27:11 Amplified her up some like you know what let me Imagine her times ten of this and what I've seen so far Lonnie gonna be going down before round six even times around six. Even times ten. Even times ten. He took the back ten. Higher. Lower. Lower. Lower. That was boring.
Starting point is 02:27:36 But, everything's like, and he just got a, well I'm so happy Ryan got that ass tapped. Oh my God. I was like, thank you. Jesus. Thank you. He deserved it. I'm so happy Ryan got that ass tapped. Oh my god. I was like, thank you. Jesus. Thank you. He deserved it I'm so sick of him. But no, let me get back on topic. Um, no you were saying about the yeah, you know It's science, but it's a hurt business and people got to remember that like do just ask yourself Do you want to hurt somebody and if you do you hurt them? I want to hurt these girls
Starting point is 02:28:01 Sorry, like I want to I want to hurt these girls. I'm sorry. I want to hurt them. Yo, y'all think I'm nuts. Yeah, I do not think that. I honestly do not think that. Listen, I play basketball the same way. I play basketball the same way.
Starting point is 02:28:19 You play basketball in a box? No, I play basketball that aggressive. That's the way I went out If I played basketball I'd be like the female Draymond Green Calculate is the shit that Draymond does. Oh, calculated, okay. He's calculated. Yeah, his was, you keep Deleash on because if Deleash is off you don't know what. Oh, he's crazy.
Starting point is 02:28:52 Okay. He's done this. Two crazy things that y'all let slide. He closed line of man for some shit he's seen as a child. So I grew up a Pistons fan, right? I'm a Detroit Pistons fan. I know. I love Ben Wallace. I'm a bad boy at Pistons. He's bad early. I'm an early 90s.
Starting point is 02:29:10 Karl Malone elbowed Isaiah Thomas and gave him like 40 stitches. How old was you when you started? I was in like high school maybe. I was in high school. Okay. So when I made it to the league, Karl Malelo was still playing. So you did it. Had a flashback. Yeah, I had a flashback. So I went upside this man's head. Got your dick, had you? He played basketball, he boxed to play basketball, and socked a dog. Brother, he hit a socked dog.
Starting point is 02:29:38 He clotheslined a man for another man. He's watching his favorite player get clotheslined, and in the middle of the game he's like I never heard of what you did I said that to you about life that's for Zeke the pit bull ran here out of a socket see this is the thing people ask so I was going to tell you this right so this is the statement right he came to his mind with a sock right here
Starting point is 02:30:04 no because you're gonna ask somebody if somebody dog walk here right So this is the statement, right? The thing came to his mind, I stopped right here. No, because you're going to ask somebody, if somebody dog walk here, right? Most people are going to ask if that dog bite, right? I don't care if your fucking dog bites. Because, listen, it doesn't matter. Because if he get after it, he going to have to, listen. He going to whoop the dog? No, bro, you going to be mad.
Starting point is 02:30:24 I tell people to get your dog because you're going to be mad at me. I said it when I got my gun on me Yeah, no, you're gonna be mad at me man. I got my gun on me. I'm not gonna be mad at me 220 pound dog at home I've had massive every dog I've had has been at least that big But listen if your dog got a collar on him, he in trouble. I'm gonna just tell you that shit right now. Brother, your dog was in the cage and I called you. Yeah, but that's my dog.
