Welcome to The Snack, a lighter serving of Girls Got to Eat.
This is a dear media production.
Enjoy.
Hi, little snack angels.
We're back.
In the same shirt.
Back in the studio in the same shirt.
I just, I know that it's like, does it annoy you?
I feel like it makes us really like sympathetic.
I'm like always proud when you walk into my house.
You're wearing the same shirt as my.
Yeah.
I'm like, we just have the same thought this morning.
Couples dress alike.
After all this time, it makes sense.
Rain is in her pajama jeans.
I don't know if you guys remember.
Do you remember the infomercial way back?
It was literally they were pajama jeans.
No.
Oh, this whole time I've been saying
pajama jeans?
You haven't even known the reference?
No.
But they are pajama jeans.
Yeah.
But they're nice.
They're Ragabone.
Yeah.
Ragabone-stepped up their pajama gene game.
Well, so these pants went viral last year.
They went crazy.
I couldn't get your hands on.
Yeah.
And I was at the nails fall on the other day at Pinkies where you got your, well,
you get your pedicures there.
You don't get your manicures there.
My traffic cone toes.
Yes.
And the girl rolled up her pants.
And the inside, I was like, are those sweatpantsy?
And she was like, girl, you got to get them?
Were they sweatpants jeans?
Can you look a pajama jeans, Tessa?
Am I just making this up?
Or were they sweat?
These are sweatpants jeans, but your sweatpants jeans.
Like the pockets are spray pants.
Sarah Blakely could never.
The pockets, not the spray paint.
I went to like put my cell phone in the back pocket and I was like, oh no, I've made a mistake.
There is a full brand pajama jeans that has like the elastic waist band at the top.
They're very maternity friendly.
All right.
Well, anyways.
I'm wearing my pajama jeans.
I'm obsessed them.
And also, if you work at Rag and Bone, just like reach out to me and please give me free stuff
because your T-shirts are $175 and I can't afford them.
Well, and these teas are Nikki Bicky.
And I just know this brand from South Moon Under, which is my favorite store and where I still
love to shop IRL.
I don't even go on the website because I always want to be in store, in Rojobith.
It's such an experience.
I love it.
Three times when I was there, three times in a week.
And every time I got to get one of these tank tops.
Yeah.
And now like I'm turning everybody onto them.
You bought them.
Louisa bought them what I'm living in them.
Louisa was like, are your boobs going to fit into that?
And I was like, my boobs will fit into this.
They're magic.
They're like sisterhood of the traveling tank top.
They're amazing.
So you guys check it out.
All right.
And speaking of brands, let's take home of our partners.
Get $50 off your first purchase of $100 or more at article.com slash GGE.

com slash GGE.
Okay.
So we are going to open with a music report.
That's your favorite thing.
And your favorite person.
Beyonce.
Beyonce.
So country music awards, which will be airing in November, has announced.
I would just like to say that I have been a fan of country music since way before it was cool.
Also, when people say that.
Since way before it was, since what, the beginning of America?
Yeah.
Since way before it was cool.
Country music's having a moment now.
Okay.
I see what you're saying.
Like Western wear.
Yeah, but you weren't out.
I wasn't closeted.
You weren't proud.
I was, you were absolutely closeted.
I was not out and proud.
You know what I think is so funny is when people are like, I liked it before it was cool.
I was like, yeah, it wasn't cool.
Yeah, you like something's not cool.
Congratulations, you like something.
You're so edgy.
Yeah, I think it's such a funny thing to say.
Anyways, country music awards have announced their nominees and Beyonce's whole Cowboy Carter album totally snubbed.
Totally subbed.
No mentions of female artist of the year, song of the year.
nothing whatsoever, which is very strange because Texas Holden was one of the year's biggest country hits,
topping the Billboard Hot Country Song chart for 10 consecutive weeks between February and April this year,
making it the second longest running number one hit of 2024 on the charts just behind Shibuzi's A Bar Song, Tipsy.
And neither Texas Holden nor Cowboy Carter received nominations at any of the song or album categories this year for any CMA Awards ceremony nominations.
Also, Beyonce became the first black woman in history to have a number one country song with Texas Holden and number one country album with Cowboy Carter earlier this year. I think that's important to note. I don't think you should just give Beyonce awards because she's Beyonce. A lot of people are saying Beyonce herself said that it wasn't a country album. It was a Beyonce album. That album was a genre of its own. I don't really know if I think Cowboy Carter should have been nominated. I would have loved it. But I'm not as mad about that as Texas Holden not being nominated. It's a literal crime. That's a
crazy. That's so crazy. I mean, she broke into this genre. She broke all this records. She put Shibuzi on.
I love Shibuzi. But who knew Shibuzi before Beyonce? And then he's nominated. Like, that's the same shit to me. A bar song and Texas Hold'em.
Like, why one without the other? Like, it feels like a snub. I am certainly treading lightly where when it comes to the race thing. I mean, I don't know, like, as a whole, how the black community feels. If this was race related or black woman related, I don't think they love.
a black woman dominating the charts, the world of country music. I just feel like this was so
important to have this accomplishment and to like not receive any nominations does feel like making
a statement. It feels like making a statement that just because your Beyonce doesn't mean we're going
to nominate you. Like maybe it's not against women or minorities. I don't know. Maybe it is.
But it sort of feels like you don't get to just do this and be nominated for this too. However,
I thought it was a great album and an incredible song and there's five other songs nominated for Song of the Year.
I mean, she broke all these records.
I mean, it's in,
irrefutable that this was a moment.
That's the thing I'm the most angry about.
Yeah.
And I never cared about the CMAs
and I'm not about to start.
No.
And good luck to Morgan Wallen.
Who will sweep the CMAs.
Listen, I'm a big Morgan Wallen fan.
As a person.
As a music artist,
I have separated the music from the musician.
But does Beyonce care?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Awards are bullshit.
I mean, think of all the artists who are the top artists in the world who have been snubbed and not nominated.
You know, like, we don't get awards.
We're the best in the biz.
Last time I was just laying about scrolling our reels and I was just like, God, we are so funny.
Yeah, like, these people deciding this, I don't know that I want their approval.
If I'm Beyonce, I don't know if it's you and me.
I don't care about the approval of these dusty people making these decisions.
I mean, so many of it, who knows what goes on behind the scenes.
And I've always felt like that, especially with the Oscars, the Emmys, all of it.
So I want to also make that statement that like who fucking cares, but I do feel like it was a snub.
And that song, Texas Holden and a bar song are two of the best songs that have ever been made literally ever.
And they just transcended this genre.
And I don't know.
And so it's just a bummer on all fronts.
It's just different.
Like when you listen to a genre, it can feel like it runs together a lot.
That's always the feedback about country music is that like it's all the same thing, which I obviously don't think.
And you can say the same thing about anything.
But I don't think it's fair to say it all sounds the same,
but she truly created something that sounded so one of the kind and different.
And to not acknowledge it,
it feels like a statement.
Yes, exactly.
Okay.
Okay.
So just one quick thing.
We talk about J-Lo every week.
J-Lo, Ben Afflegg, the divorce.
It's daily news about it.
But just one thing is this photo of her and Matt Damon.
Holding hands.
And of course, that's Ben Affleck's best friend.
I mean, this would be you and Sparkleys, holding hands.
Not if y'all broke up.
Exactly.
The way I thought about being photographed, holding hands with him, if you broke up.
So I just, this meme, and we'll put it up, and it says, nobody wants to hear it, but the actual funniest outcome is if these two have been having an affair.
Could you, I would die.
I would lose my mind.
I don't even know.
I'm like shaking, thinking about it as a possibility.
Would you die?
I would die.
I can't even.
I mean, that would be bad for everybody.
You know, that's bad.
But it would be some tea.
He has been married for a long time and has.
I think three children with her and adopted her fourth child.
Like, he's a huge family.
That would be horrible for her.
That would be devastating and so sleazy.
But it's just like, why?
Okay, fine.
You guys were friends.
You've been friends for a long time.
But like if you and Sparkalize got divorced,
I can't imagine a scenario in which I don't know if I can't touch him.
Yeah.
I don't even want to touch him now.
I know.
It would be so weird if he touched me.
Keep your distance.
I mean, honestly, at your wedding, if I held hands with him, that'd be crazy.
I mean, this picture is, it looks like they're going through something.
which I guess they are.
But like, even Matt is he okay?
Why is he touching her?
Does he check on Matt?
Well, I mean, is his wife like, I guess it's J-Lo, just do whatever you want.
Touch her however you want.
That's crazy to me.
Anyway, that was just a quick thing.
And then we just want to talk about Kendrick.
You do.
He's going to be the Super Bowl halftime act.
As a Drake fan, it hurts.
Okay.
We're a Drake family.
So you and Sparkleyes, it's like your thing.
You guys talk about the Drake and Kendrick Beef a lot.
And while we were, your engagement weekend, you guys were explaining it to me.
Like, I feel like you guys really bond over this.
Like in our group chat, the three of us, like, he will say stuff about it.
And I never know what he's talking about.
And I have to, like, Google it.
Because, like, he's so in the know.
And, like, you are too.
I don't really know about it.
Yeah.
So, and we can back up.
So Drake is a rapper.
I'm getting.
He's from Canada.
My fiancé is the biggest fan.
I'm working on a highlight reel, if you will, of him talking to DJs at events trying to request Drake.
He did his friend's wedding.
He did it on this boat party we're at this weekend.
He's just the biggest fan.
He knows everything about him.
And I've always been a big fan.
I love Drake.
I think he is so cool.
I love his music.
I love his catalog.
I think he's like hot and funny.
And I just, I love Drake.
I liked Kendrick before.
I think Kendrick is a great rapper.
Don't get a twisted.
I've seen both of them live.
You came to Kendrick.
Yeah, I can.
Drake is 10 times better performer, 100 times better performer.
No contest.
Drake's the performer of the two.
Kendrick is a great rapper.
I'll give him that.
He's one of the greats.
But the whole beef that they had earlier this year, it just gave me the ick on Kendrick.
And then I just started to hate his voice.
His voice started to irk me.
And his song, not like us, is a Drake disc track.
And it is the hugest song he's ever done.
I mean, this is the song they're playing at the DNC.
and I think Drake's disc track Family Matters was better.
I think it's an iconic song.
It's like three songs in one.
We don't need to get into the weeds on this.
But Drake did the beef.
I think he won personally.
Maybe I'm biased.
But Kendrick came out of it with the biggest song ever.
And so, I mean, I think it's catchy.
But it's a Drake disc track.
So like, no, I don't like it.
And it's obviously going to be played at the Super Bowl.
I think.
I mean, maybe they'll edit it a little bit.
But I don't know if you knew this,
that Jay-Z pretty much is in charge of the halftime show
for the Super Bowl.
Every year or just this year?
He's involved.
It's like the Rock Nation.
It's this whole thing.
So he kind of, I don't know that he decides it single-handedly, but he plays a large part.
Drake and Jay-Z have had a long, complicated history.
They've been off and on.
It's not wanting to get in all this.
So people are saying that.
Jay-Z might have had something to do with that.
And also they're saying Jay-Z snub low-Wain, because Lowell-Wain's from New Orleans,
but just because you're from the city doesn't necessarily mean, you know what I mean.
Like Kendrick's from California.
He didn't play when it was in L.A.
It doesn't have to be that.
So there is that.
Nikki Minaj has gotten involved, and I have a couple things to ask you. So, and I, I love rap and hip hop being
the halftime show. I love it. Because I love that some of these people don't even like this type of music.
And I love to see it. I mean, I went to the Super Bowl when it was Rihanna. I feel like I was the most hype
person in my whole section. We loved Usher last year. I love to see it. Beyonce, I mean,
we'll go down in history. Bruno Mars, like the whole thing. So that's, I love that genre music for
the Super Bowl, obviously. But I was watching this video that KFC posted. And his take was kind of like, Kendrick is not a big
enough household name to do this.
And he said something I don't really think is accurate.
He was like, 90% of people in the country can't name one Kendrick Lamar song.
And I was like, I don't know.
People in the comments were kind of dragging him and saying, dude, that's not true.
He is so huge.
I was curious what you thought.
And I was curious if you could name a Kendrick song outside of Not Like Us.
So I'm just, first of all, you're into music the way I'm into reality television.
Yeah.
Like I could go on a tirade about the Valley and Vanderpump.
and I will just sit there and smile and listen to me,
but you're not as in the culture as I am.
And you're very much more in this culture.
But you and I went to Kendrick Lamar,
and I couldn't sing along with most of the songs.
To me, he's not a big enough household name,
but like who cares what I think, I guess?
Like his single, Not Like Us was one of the most popular songs
this summer.
It debuted number one of the Billboard Top 100.
It became the fastest rap song to reach 700 million streams on Spotify.
Like it's not, he's not unknown, but like I think for the general public and the people that go to the Super Bowl, he's not, every person you just listed off is the biggest household name, people that my parents could name. I think that he's not in that category. Like Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, he's not of that level. And I think that I was like, oh, that's an interesting choice. Like three years ago when they had 50 cent and they had tons of people that were collaborated.
If everybody, like, that, it feels like Kendrick Lamar would be a part of that line up.
And maybe there are going to be more people, but I don't really know who he would roll with.
I don't know.
He just, he gives me the ick.
You guys, this is just personal preference.
If you love Kendrick and hate Drake, that's your prerogative.
I don't care.
It's the music.
It's like the most subjective thing in the world who you like and who you don't like.
But I also put one more question for you and then we'll move on from this.
I find it like, you can look at it two different ways.
Like, yes, he, his Drake diss is the most.
popular,
important song of his career,
but also the most popular
important song of his career
is about someone else.
Like,
I kind of love that for Drake.
I kind of love that Drake is like,
yeah,
my disc tracks against you were amazing,
but it's not the most important thing
I've ever done.
Family Matters,
yeah, it's amazing.
It's so iconic,
it's a banger.
But it's not my most popular song.
No, it's hilarious.
It's hilarious.
It's like, I don't care what you think about me.
I don't think of you at all.
Like, Drake's like,
I'm done with this.
I'm chilling.
I'm fine.
I have 19 albums.
I just.
I'm good.
Drake's like, you have to talk about me every time you step on stage.
Yes.
You have to sing about me at the Super Bowl.
You anchored your career on me.
Yeah.
If somebody is so wrapped up in hating me, I'm like, go off.
I know.
I'm so amused that you are so bothered by me.
That's amazing.
Like, I wonder if Kendrick is like, fuck.
I'm going to keep talking about Drake.
700 million streams.
Okay.
So I think that transitions us into Taylor and Travis season, also.
known as NFL season. Listen, I
as a Taylor Swift fan
who hates how she dresses but loves her music,
I really was wondering like how
I was going to feel this season because now that I
went to the show Wimbly and I saw Taylor
and Treves on stage together and I was just like
boots on the ground there. I am
like an even bigger fan than I already was.
I'm trying to go in Miami. Like I'm not
a hater. I love her and I was honestly excited
for football season because I was excited
for like all the coverage of her. But I feel
like I'm already sick of it and it's been four
days and I'm dying. And here's why one of the reasons why I think that like they're doing this.
So basically you saw her Thursday night, they kick off NFL season, Kansas City Chiefs game.
They win. And she has this like super sexy jean outfit with like bread thigh highs, which seems like a real departure from how she dresses.
But then they kick off this like whirlwind weekend where they're photographed in in Brooklyn at Lucali,
which is one of the most famous Italian pizza places in all of the country, not just New York.
They go to this wedding.
They're very publicly photographed getting out of the cars.
And they go to the U.S. Open with Patrick Mahomes.
Brittany Mahomes.
They're very publicly photographed.
All of this on the heels of this contract coming out that they are breaking up in September.
Yes.
So in case you guys didn't see this, which it really was out there.
It was huge news.
It was allegedly a contract from a PR company.
His PR company leaked saying this is a PR relationship and they were going to break up this month.
Okay.
Continue.
As for the validity of that, anybody could type that up.
You and I could type that and print it tomorrow.
Tesla could put it on the internet.
Anybody with a printer and a Canva account could have made that.
And so who's to say?
What that was true?
I don't even know why I got so much traction.
But it almost feels like this is their response to that.
Like they're so hyper photographed.
And it's been a lot.
It's been a lot.
And I will say like they are arguably the most famous couple in the world.
She's the most famous person in the world.
But I'm still like, do they actually need to be photographed this much?
There's plenty of couples like J-Lo and Bex.
prior to divorce, Beyonce and Jay-Z, that you never see together.
There's tons of A-list famous couples you almost never see together.
Like, they were photographed so much.
Like, they picked Lucali.
Like, I said this is the most famous pizza place in the country.
Like, they didn't need to go there.
Yeah, someone said their social battery needs to be studied.
Like, they are out.
Out.
They are out, out.
It's beginning of the football season.
He's like, we're going out.
She's Taylor Swift.
She's like, oh, we're going out.
She did four shows in a row.
in London, which the shows are five hours long, and then they went out to Chiltern Firehouse
right after the fourth show. That is so crazy. I couldn't believe it. Good for her. I was so tired
after attending that show. I was saying, how did she go out? Everyone is hanging on by a thread.
She's like, I'm going out, bitches. I just, the U.S. open coverage, I cannot. Why was he a yodeler?
Why did travel, why was he dressed like a German yodeler? I mean, they act so cringe and I don't
care, and they embrace it, and they know it. Taylor Swift will be, one thing. One thing,
about her, she's feeling the music at all times.
They're playing music during a commercial
break at a sporting event.
She's playing air guitar.
She's full karaoke in her boyfriend's mouth.
She is always, since day
one, she'll be front row, every award show,
just getting it. No rhythm.
Her white girl moves. She's a
musical artist, so maybe she
really does feel the music like that, or maybe
she's putting on a little bit of a show
for the haters. She really
does sometimes, like, I'm watching it, and I'm
like Chrissy Tegan face about it.
But I'm like, they're embracing it.
And they don't give a fuck.
And you have to respect it.
But it's the way she acts, she feels that beat.
I mean, she doesn't have the beat, but she's always feeling it.
She's pretty open about it.
She's like, I know I've already read that.
I mean, it is wild.
I was just like, it feels like football season started.
It was like, here it comes.
It's the onslaught is here.
And then the U.S. open coverage, I was dead.
And I wanted to see what you thought about this.
It was a friend of ours.
He posted on close friends and he doesn't want this to be outed because of what he said.
But he said, I'd get canceled if I said this publicly, but come on.
If this wasn't Taylor and Travis, we would all think they were the most insufferable
couple we've ever seen.
Look at this outfit.
And he's talking about the yodeler.
Okay, I just have to say, every outfit this week has been crazier than the next,
and I never saw any of them coming.
Like, she dresses, like, coastal grandma half of the time.
And then just busts out this, like, gene, the gene outfit with the shorty shorts
and the thigh high red boots, denim corset,
coochie cutters and thigh-high boots.
And then two days later, it was like a floral.
A picnic tablecloth.
A red checkered picnic tablecloth.
I don't know what she wore to that wedding.
I got that dress, a similar dress,
on commence for $19.
I don't understand like what.
There's no rhyme or reason.
There's not a stylist to be found.
She doesn't know.
Go off, Taylor.
And he's had nine different haircuts in the last four days as well.
He had no facial hair and then he had a mustache.
And everybody always talks about.
like his changes and his looks.
And I'm like, I can't keep up because sometimes he's just like state trooper.
And then then he goes back and then he's giving a little more porn star.
And he's kind of lost the swag look.
He's a German jodler.
Like he's in the Swiss Alps.
Like what is he doing?
They're chaotic.
It's fun to talk shit about everything.
But like they just are going to do them.
Whatever.
Let them live.
I'll watch it.
I just, it's my whole feed.
I'm like, I got to do this for all the football season.
I know.
I know.
I know.
it is true. I was honestly genuinely excited
to watch her at the Chiefs game because I just get excited
to see what she's going to wear. Like dorky-ass stuff she's going to do.
But I
every time they go out to dinner, I can't
be my whole feed. Please stop. I know. That is true.
But yeah, I'd like that they're giving us these outfits to
talk shit on. I mean, they're giving us content. You know,
it's not boring, that's for sure. I saw a meme
that said a cranberry vodka hates to see
her coming. She loves to
her. She's always a vodka crayon.
But this meme is so funny.
This was on Bustle. This is a tweet.
It said Travis Kelsey and Patrick Mahomes
look like extras and clueless that Cher would
dissuade Ty from hanging out with.
Like at the U.S.
What is his Gucci bucket hat?
He looks so ridiculous.
With the like suspender print.
And Patrick Mahal, like I mean,
is that not so accurate?
Like they look like the slackers and clueless.
They look ridiculous.
Like you know,
Cher would be like,
Ty, we don't hang out with them.
But like I feel like that would be like super,
my super famous personality was I would just dress crazy.
I got to keep it in the box a little bit because I'm not really that famous.
But if I was like Travis Kelsey famous, the stuff I'd be strutting around in would be insane.
Yeah, he's making some choices.
He's taking some risks.
So the rest of the U.S. Open, I have a question for you.
Because I've obviously been seeing tons of U.S. Open content and thinking about what I would wear to the U.S. Open.
Everybody looks so cute.
But most of the time when you zoom out, there's really nobody there.
I mean, this is all day long every day for, what, two weeks, three weeks?
I mean, this is a U.S. Open is a long event.
And most of them there's smaller matches going on.
There's nobody in the stadium.
I've been to the U.S. Open.
There's nobody there throughout the whole day.
You just see these, like, cute picks and outfits,
but it's not like a raging time the whole day every day.
Do you have some matches?
Some matches.
Some rangers than others?
Yeah, like the one that, like, Travis and Taylor went to was, like, a bigger match.
Do you have any interest in going to the U.S. Open?
Do you think you would have fun there?
I would go if I was sent in a car because I've gone before.
It's a hot mess to get there.
I've gone once.
I did see Serena when I went years ago.
Yeah, if I was sent VIP in the box, I did a cute outfit, I think it'd be fun.
We'd just be yapping in that box.
Just a day.
Just, okay, I could yap.
Yeah.
I can wear a cute outfit.
But here's the thing.
What about the people that are like in the vicinity of these huge stars?
Like you're, I mean, I think they're probably famous too.
They're in the box.
But all the people in the row before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey are in all of the
paparazzi photos.
Like, I don't want to be a part of that.
Catch me looking like, you know, talking shit.
food in my mouth, mouth open.
Or you just look miserable.
Lazy eye.
Half the time I'm not emoting anything.
Yeah.
Like it just hair out of place.
You know, like I don't want to be in all those photos.
I feel for those people.
I do.
Oh, okay.
I think that'd be hysterical.
Imagine there was like 300 photos to Taylor Swift.
I was in all of them.
Okay, well, speaking of photos, let's talk about Martha Rotsie.
Can you just, okay, you broke the news to me.
This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Okay.
Did she explain to it?
No.
So Martha Stewart went to the U.S.
Open.
she posted a carousel from her time at the U.S. Open.
And a lot of the photos are just her zooming in on other celebrities after the U.S.
Open.
Okay.
So, yeah, because the first one is her lead photo in her carousel is her and John Hamm.
And her caption is, just left the U.S.
Open where the tennis was really good.
But we were disappointed that our young American fritz lost to a superior and even
younger Italian player, sinner.
Lots of celebrities peppered the stands and boxes.
Take a look.
No punctuation on any of that.
And the next photo is,
she is up Taylor Swift's nostril.
She has zoomed in so tight.
Taylor Swift,
then she's got Travis Kelsey making like this face.
She has Patrick Mahomes,
the side of his face.
She is Anna Wintor blurry,
zoomed in at a 12x.
She has some of the tennis players.
I don't like know all these people.
She's got her in front of the gray goose wall.
Like,
it's so crazy.
Like she was tapping paparazzi picks.
This is,
Martha Stewart is arguably more famous
and has been famous longer
than every single person
she has taken a photo of.
And this is the epitome of act like you've been here before.
Like, what did she do?
What did Snoop say about this?
He's like, Martha.
Well, so I'll read you some of the comments.
And Heather McMahon, top comment.
Oh, actually, no, Hannah Burner might be the top comment, which made me laugh out loud.
Hannah, she wrote TMZ is shaking.
Heather Mamma...
They do look like blurry TMZ photos, like long-length photos.
TMZ hates to see Martha coming with her point and shoot.
Heather McMann wrote to her like, she knows that Martha, these can't.
And then, like, people said, petition to get Martha to all the celebrity's
these pictures 10 out of 10. Oh, I love this one. Nobody can snoop like Martha. The gossip girl reboot
America needs. Martha is gossip girl. This caption in these pictures are unhinged.
I'm obsessed. The close-up of Travis. Damn, Martha's really getting those angles, doing God's
work, Martha. Martha's the new doom. Raina, if you are Taylor Swift or whoever celebrity,
you see this photo you and you're like, who the fuck took that?
that oh Martha Stewart you can't say anything she's scary the most famous person she went to prison
best friends with snoop dog like you don't that's not the profile of somebody posting those
photos if i was Taylor swift I would write under this Martha period Martha please well she was cool
she would do that the fact that Taylor and Travis have not responded to that I hate it
why is Taylor Swift not these comments that would be so fucking funny or she just wrote like
L-O-L or like Martha OMG
I love it. I love Martha Stewart for this. It's so funny because, yes, to your point, you're so right. She's so famous. She's been so much more famous, so much longer than everybody. Can I tell you, my friend from college saw her. My friend's from Connecticut. I forget where she saw her. Some fancy place up there. And I don't know if my friend was in the car. This was like her friend. This is like an urban legend. But anyway, someone's, Martha was crossing the street. And someone. Martha was crossing the street. And someone.
stopped a little short on her,
stopped a little tight,
got the car too closed door,
and she just flicked them off.
Can you imagine it flicked off by Martha Stewart?
I would die.
I would open with that.
I would do a whole dating app profile.
It would just be that.
Not be an Instagram bio.
Yeah, that's all that.
Mars and Stewart flick me off.
That's crazy.
God, I would love to meet her.
And this kind of brings this into the next thing
I want to talk about,
which is Yapper Girlfriends.
So this started in TikTok
like earlier in the year,
but I think it's having a resurgence.
And a lot of it is with a couple
from Tell Me Lies,
which Raina can speak on
if she thinks that's a PR relationship or not, but Grace Van Patten and Jackson White, the
leads of that show. And there's just pictures of like her talking and him listening. And the
trend is kind of yapper girlfriends and boyfriends who are just happy to be there. And people
are even saying that about like Taylor and Travis. And I just think it's very funny. I like this word
yapper. I think it's funny. Like I'm a yapper girlfriend. I'm a yapper. I would never. Yes. I mean,
I don't even care. I just, the amount of conversations that I have, like one of my exes, I don't, we would talk for
like three hours a night. You would talk all the time. And then I would be like, for years this went on.
We had like long distance relationship that I don't think he said more than three sentences. I know.
Like sometimes we would like be together and I'd be like, I'm just going to be quiet and see if like we have
anything to talk about. And it never came up. He just never talked. I'm the peak of the yapper girl friends.
You're such a yapper. I don't need to date somebody that has anything to say. Okay. So yes. But I think these guys are
they're perfect for you. They're good listeners. They're genuinely interested. Like, they're not sitting
on the other end of the phone for three hours or on a weekend with you or whatever, date with you. And they're,
annoyed and like, will she ever shut up? They really like what you have to say. You just, you have to
have the yapper and the listener. Two things. I, yes, everybody that I'm talking to is hyper involved,
hanging on every word, you know? But, like, I give good yap. Yeah. You know, like, I bring it. Like,
what are you going to say that's better than what I'm going to say? Yeah. Like, I have great gossip. I get crazy hype about
stuff sometimes like when you and I meet somebody and they don't get to like attend the way I need
them to them like they can't be our friend yeah like I just I talk the hardest shit I'm so funny and I've
so much to say it and like everybody that I've like dated it's just happy to be a part of it the hand
every word like you and I have like definitely you see it on social media a lot like girls that act like
silly and crazy and their boyfriend just like won't lean into it and they seem annoyed with them all the time
and it's like I've never had that experience yes somebody just can't be bothered yes which is a different
thing we're talking about the boyfriends who are happy to be there and that is obviously
my fiance, I mean, we have amazing conversation and he makes me laugh, but he is the listener
and he loves to hear me up.
There was one morning last weekend in Dewey.
You and him were like sitting in a couch.
Me and Louisa were like, the four us were together.
Me, you, Louise and him.
And you and me and Louisa got going talking about this girl and her dating life.
And I think what we talked about her for 45 minutes about her whole background, everybody
she's dated, her breakups, what she's doing now.
He sat there just so pleasantly.
So happy to be there.
At some point, is he going to be like, girls, I can't do this anymore.
He's so happy to be there all the time.
I think two yappers obviously can be best friends, obviously.
Yappers find the yappers.
Friends, you got to have a bunch of yappers.
But let me ask you this.
Can two yappers be in a romantic couple?
Okay.
Because we know a couple that's veering on two yappers.
And I told you this before I even knew the language.
And I said, they both really like to yap.
But he dims her yapp.
I know.
And she was an yapper first.
And he came in, he's yapping over her.
He yaps over her.
I do feel when I'm with the two of them, he yaps, he just goes harder than she does.
But he has had a little more.
No, they both have interesting lives.
I would say his is just a little more interesting.
He works in an industry that his stories are stories I don't have.
You know, like he's got the stories and he's an amazing storyteller.
But she's so interesting and funny too.
And so I feel like they're like, yep, yep.
I don't know.
I'm trying to think like tradition.
Are those couples annoying?
They're not annoying, but are those couples annoying?
Yes.
No.
I don't know.
They're not.
It depends what the content of the apping is.
That's what it boils down for to me.
People that just drone on like my idiot ex-stepmother was just some, I have nothing
with bad things to say.
But she just never stopped talking.
And I was just like, everything coming out of your mouth is stupid.
I don't care about any of these stories.
I don't care about anything you're going to say.
It's not going to be smart or interesting.
or funny. Like, I'll listen to somebody talk all night if, like, what they have to say is super
interesting. And I recently went out with this guy who, you know, and he's like a yapper.
He really talks a lot. But I feel like really engaged in what he's saying. And I don't mind taking a
little bit of a backseat while he yabbing. I also want someone who is engaged in really listening and not
waiting for the next thing they're going to say. And I think about this with guys I've dated and I have an
X who was a comedian and really funny and really life of the party and everybody loved him.
And he was a yapper.
And so I feel like we were really fun together.
Maybe I think we kind of flowed back and forth with who with the spotlight, I guess,
but I don't think either of us were taking a backseat to the other one.
But I think, I mean, and from what other people have told me, when we weren't fighting,
we were fun to be around.
Because we're going back and forth and we're bantering and we have like a good rapport with
each other.
But yeah, I mean, but at the same time when I, you know, run the tape on the relationship,
I don't feel like he was always really listening to me.
He certainly wasn't listening to me the way my partner now does
and really like hearing me digesting, remembering the same way,
which is what you want.
I mean, what we both want.
So anyway, I mean, I do think it can work.
But yeah, you've got to have something to say.
People who just talk for the sake of talking who can't tell a story,
who drone on and on, who wants it.
I could do like 6535.
I'm still talking 30% more than you are.
Not the 6535.
Like, you know, there's different buckets to me.
There's, like, people that are equally matched.
Just yapping all the time.
50, 50, I couldn't do that.
That's just too much for you to be talking.
Like, I don't want you to be talking that much.
And then there's guys, like, Sparkle Eyes that are just better listeners, but he's super engaged,
which, like, that's great.
I'll take that.
It's the guys that, like, sometimes you got to dinner with, like, your friends and their partners,
and he's just staring off in a space.
He doesn't want to be there.
Again, the whole thing is the guys are happy to be there.
Yes.
Happy to be there.
Engaged.
Like, there's, like, there's.
something going on between behind their eyes. Yes, like those guys that don't want to be there.
And I've noticed when you have the Yap or girlfriends, which are girls who have big personalities
and they're confident and they're often successful. Like, it's a different vibe than men who
were maybe a lot more older than ones with the money, more powerful. And they have like a younger
female partner. And then they're dominating conversations at dinner. And their partners are
just kind of sitting there. And like, and obviously like the opposite of that. And I was
thinking that because I was out with our friends, Taylor and Blake. They are an engaged couple
and we love them.
And I was on a double date with them.
And it was like, Taylor and I just like back and forth sharing stories.
And our fiancés are like engaged and listening and contributing.
But like, women are in charge here.
You know, women are dominating the conversation.
And I's just like, of course that's what I prefer you and I talk for living.
Well, the reverse is just kind of icky to me.
Like you often can't get in there with like a power imbalance of money or age.
And like I have a girlfriend who dated somebody who was significantly older than her.
And she was such a yapper girl.
But like when he was in the room, I never heard to speak.
Right.
And it's crazy when you're like, this person is clearly like not creating a space for you to talk.
And that's weird.
I don't like that.
Yeah, exactly.
Like you have to take a back seat.
Like the man's in charge.
Yeah.
We hate to see it.
Okay.
Let's take a quick break and yap about our partners.
I am so excited to tell you guys about quince.
I've seen so many more people get on the quince train.
Loving it.
I know.
I was listening.
You made me a lover girl.
I know.
I was listening to Kristen Cavaleri's episode.
episode with Mark Estes.
She was talking about Quinn.
I mean, they're a partner.
Speaking of lover girls.
Exactly.
He's like, people will be so shocked that you're a lover girl.
She's like, oh my God.
I actually listened to the whole thing.
We can talk about it.
I really didn't like it.
They got kind of drunk toward the end.
It was cute.
Oh, guys, we're talking about Quince.
Okay, so as we transition to fall,
let's talk about their cashmere.
So you can get cashmere sweaters from $50,
pants for every occasion,
washable silk tops, and so much more.
And we love that Quince's items are
price 50 to 80% less than similar brands, but so high quality. They partner directly with top
factories. They cut off the cost of the middleman, passed on to you. And they're super ethical,
safe, responsible manufacturing. So let's get into these new arrivals. Oh my gosh, they have this
double-faced marino wool scarf coat for 189. I'm obsessed with that. I've never even seen anything
like that. These skirts, I really have been in my skirt era this summer and I'm going to transition
that into fall. Great Blazers. I also love a blazer moment. I've talked about the silk dress.
washable silk. You guys throw it in the washer. I hang dry mine, but they have mini dresses,
long dresses, silk tops, all the things. And then the bags, I really love the bags, too. They have great
crossbodies. They have jewelry. I'm looking at this gold bangle. And again, you guys are getting the
prices for the quality that you're not going to find elsewhere. This puffer coat, this down
puffer long jacket I would absolutely buy if we were still living in New York. That's only 179.90.
I don't need to write off these prices for you guys. I'm just kind of telling you what you can
expect. Sweeters, I'm loving a crop sweater moment. They have some really,
really cute ones, blouses, great stuff for work if you're going into the office, great day-to-night
options and the pants too. But again, like get on those skirts. The silk mini skirt, I'm obsessed.
And it's like under 50 bucks. It's 49.90. So we just love it so, so much. And this is going to be
great for you guys to transition to fall. Again, if you're trying to really even like kind of
elevate your wardrobe, get into more of the quiet luxury, but also still stay fashionable and still
be a little sexy if you want. This is going to be your go-to. So make switching seasons a breeze with
Quince's high quality closet essentials.

Okay.
And you guys know I'm always excited to talk about an article because I'm obsessed with design,
interior design.
It's the number one thing you guys DM me about is can I know about where XYZ thing
in your house is from?
And I absolutely love what article does.
and right now article has expanded their best-selling living room collections with hundreds of new sofa beds, sectionals, modular sovas, lounge chairs, swivel chairs, ottomans, and more.
Plus they have announced nine new fabric options allowing you to pick the perfect sofa to create your dream living room space.
I've been complaining about the sofas in my living room for so long that I just, like, can't figure it out.
And I went straight to article.
I absolutely love all the design ideas.
So they have mid-century modern, coastal, industrial, Scandy, and Boho, Descadis.
designs. They have a great website. They show you how to style everything together. I think a lot of
people don't really know how to style like a rug with an ottoman with a couch or the lamp. And
it doesn't come naturally to most people. So they're really going to help you do that. They'll show you
photos of how their designers have done it and how other people on Instagram and so forth have done it.
And they offer fast affordable shipping across the U.S. and Canada. Plus they won't leave you
waiting around. So you'll pick a delivery time and they'll send you an update every step of the way.
I had a couch delivered. It was such a great experience. It's this Penny, P-I-N-N-I.
Sofa, Ivy Wool Bucle.
I love a Bucle.
But they have, like, a ton of stuff.
I'm really loving their leather couches right now.
And I feel the people are just, like, really, I feel like that all white aesthetic is like,
it's not on the way out, but like people are really leaning into colors more.
They've great greens and pinks.
And I'm just really like on.
Headboards.
I mean, just you can, like, really change your whole bedroom with, like, one headboard.
Check out stuff for the bedroom.
Absolutely the living room.
The collection is enormous.
And really just the.
prices are fantastic. They make it so, so simple.

Okay, Tess has some breaking news.
You just a little song.
It's like the breaking news.
Okay, okay.
Your tone d'affs, you don't know.
Dustin will put it in there, so you don't have to hear me saying.
So according to People magazine, it was reported that Dave Ruhl that admits that he's a new baby outside of his 23-year marriage welcomed.
That is crazy.
He announced today.
So, yeah, he is 55 years old.
And he says he plans to be a loving and supportive parent to his new baby.
He loves his wife and his current children and he's doing everything.
He can't regain their trust and earn their forgiveness during this time.
So this was an affair.
I mean, this is he had an affair.
That's the kind way of saying he had an affair.
But the baby was just welcomed.
He really PR'd that statement.
Yeah.
I mean, I've been out on him a little bit since all that Taylor Swift stuff.
And you know how I feel.
I'm not some like, defend Taylor at all cause.
No one can ever say anything bad about her.
But it was so weird.
We talked about it.
He was just at his concert trashing her for what reason.
We don't know.
But I have been a long time fan of the foo fighters.
But yikes.
It was misdirection because he's like, look over here.
Half the listeners are like, who is that, Dave what?
But no, anyway, he's the least singer of the foo fighters.
Interesting.
This is a developing story.
You guys are more into music than I am.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'm more into television.
So, Raina, what do you want to do here?
Big week of television.
Just the biggest.
I do just want to, reality TV has given us a few items this week.
I will just say Lala Kent had her baby or a second baby.
Sosa.
Yeah, Sosa.
Is that the name of baby's name?
How do I know that?
You don't know.
Sosa?
I don't look it up.
I can't lean into celebrities baby names.
I refuse to do it.
It's so much like Samosa.
Which I love is Samosa.
as I'm marrying an Indian man.
Sammy Sosa, I think that was a baseball player way back in that.
Sosa.
Is that she named after?
I don't hate it.
I don't know.
It's interesting.
It's SOSA.
Well, congrats to her.
Congrats to her in Los Smosa.
Kristen Doty got engaged.
Okay.
Both of them,
Kristen Doty got engaged,
Vanderpump Rules.
Both of them have been confirmed for the Valley next season.
So I love to see people just making life decisions based on when the season's going to kick off.
Yeah.
Filming.
We've also announced a new casting of Vanderpump Rules,
which will also just be.
people actually working at Sir.
Okay.
So that's in the works.
So lots of stuff.
Ashley and I want to serve for dinner.
Biggest wine pour in the city.
Peter delivered it.
Peter delivered it.
I mean, Max took the order.
Peter delivered it.
I really highly recommend it.
It was a box of wine.
That was crazy.
Basically.
So anyways, that's reality TV world.
And then there's been so much TV that you and I have been consuming.
That's Selling Sunset is out.
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Tell Me Lies and The Perfect Couple.
I've been so excited for all these things.
Yes.
So I have not watched embarrassingly enough, Tell Me Lies.
I've been busy.
You know, you guys, I was busy.
I'm just traveling and stuff,
and I prioritize the perfect couple,
and we'll talk about it.
But let's maybe do Selling Sunset next week,
if you guys still care.
I mean, there's tons of things that came out,
and I've seen some of this online,
but I still want to watch it.
I love Selling Sunset.
Probably more than rain at this point.
You kind of gave it up.
But we'll talk about Selling Sonset next week.
You can talk about Tell Me Lies.
I mean, I don't want any spoilers, but.
So the new season is fantastic.
By the time this comes out, the three episodes will have been aired.
It airs on Wednesdays.
I've watched the first two as of this recording.
Season one is one of my favorite shows.
It's fantastically done.
It's a great adaptation of the book.
Also, I read the book.
I thought it was a great book.
It's different than the show very much.
Only about 50% of the book takes place in college, whereas the whole show takes place in college.
And there's much less character development outside of the two main characters in the book.
They ping pong back and forth between Stephen and Lucy in the book.
But the show is fantastic.
I'm loving the second season.
The first season ends and you find out that Stephen has been engaged to Lucy's best friend in the world.
And it's this cliffhanger of how do they mean?
How did this happen?
How did they get together?
So the season picks up there.
Okay.
I cannot wait.
And it's fantastic.
I can't recommend it enough.
I love it as an adaptation of the book.
It's great.
And they're together in real life, allegedly.
You're not feeling the body language.
I've been sending you like some clips.
clips of the two of them of Jackson and Grace.
It's not giving,
it's not giving more a couple.
I will say not everybody is super comfortable,
letting their romantic life just fly on a red carpet and you're like,
all eyes are on us.
Everybody's talking about the fact that we are a couple in this show and,
you know, on screen and off screen.
Maybe people just aren't that comfortable, but you guys,
watch clips of them,
see for yourself. It does not seem like to people that are dating.
Well, we'll see. If,
if it's fake, good for them.
But like, I've been watching, I've been re-watching,
season one and the sex scenes are so hot and there's no way I could film that with somebody and not
fuck them in the trailer right after. I mean that's how I show about normal people like you know.
Could you know chemistry? She's butt naked in all these scenes and like so is he and like how are they
not fucking in the trailer right after like I would have to. So anyway, I got to practice. I love it.
It's a fantastic show and I really recommend the book too. Okay. And perfect couple. Wow.
So listen, I did start this.
I started watching it in Boston with Sparkle Eyes.
I wanted to save it and watch it as a show with him.
I was there this past weekend.
We got through most of it.
I don't know if I was too much in my, like,
love nest to realize it was bad or it just,
I know that it got bad.
I know that it started stronger and ended just in like,
I don't, I mean, I don't even know.
It's shit the bad for sure.
So some spoilers ahead.
Yeah, spoilers ahead.
This is a six-part series.
on Netflix based on the Ellen Hildebrandt book by the same name.
And it is about a Nantucket wedding where the maid of honor is murdered the night of a rehearsal dinner.
And you're trying to figure out who did it.
Yeah.
Book, perfect book.
One of my favorite books I've read this year.
All they had to do was take that book and adapt it to the screen.
And they, the book has so little to do with what you see on screen.
It's mind blowing.
They've added characters.
They've added all these storylines.
None of them need to be there.
Right.
It's so ridiculous.
this adaptation. And you know how I always know something's going to not be good? It's too hyped.
I've seen too much promo for this. I didn't even, I didn't necessarily feel like that. I mean,
I was so excited for this. Oh my God. And I really, what, there's six, six episodes like you said,
I mean, I would say I felt like the first four were strong. I was starting to be like,
this feels unrealistic. Wait, what, okay, she just cheated with him and everybody knows about it.
And it's like, fine. And she's at the party, you know, and again, spoilers ahead. But I was just like,
okay, I was starting to get there, I was starting to talk a little bit of shit, and then, like,
midway through the fifth episode with this book launch party, and it just went off the rails.
Like, and then the finale, I mean, you and I were talking about this, like, it went from, like,
a sexy drama to, like, a quirky who done it.
Like, it got, like, weird.
It was like they brought it a new director.
I don't know what happened.
I mean, maybe we could have looked this up if there was a different director.
I mean, there might have been a different director for every episode, who's to say.
but it was so bizarre.
The tone changed completely.
It went from a dark drama to the royal tenon bombs.
Yes, it was weird.
It was like, I didn't sign up for this.
I don't understand what happened.
I actually don't need all behavior on screen that I see to be really rooted in human behavior.
It's fine.
You like Emily and Paris.
And nobody would act like that.
Well, I hate watch it, but yes.
Everybody hate watches it.
Yeah.
But like this, I thought, like, you have Lee Schreiber who is Andrew Collins.
So hot.
Now I can't unsee it.
And Nicole Kidman, I mean, really.
famous people that, what, didn't give any feedback to what was happening here. The plot is so weird.
I mean, this girl's best friend dies and she seems marginally okay. Yeah. Her wedding is canceled.
Right. But then they have to hole up in the house. No one can leave. Her mom's dying. She's up there.
And then she says that she was an escort and her brother was her pimp. What? Like everything got so weird.
The acting went down the shitter. Like it was great. Even the cops got all weird.
You know, the FBI. I was just like, what happened here?
Everyone just threw in the towel.
The engaged couple, she's making out with his best friend.
He walks in on them and all of a sudden the whole family knows what he just turned around and told his mommy.
He walked back in the house.
That was the part where I was like, they lost me with this.
And then she still goes and fucked him in the kitchen.
And she's fucking him in the kitchen at this party.
And I go, I was like, Raina, there are people in that kitchen.
Raina was like, it was an active catering kitchen.
There were just people in there.
And they're fucking.
I mean, these reviews are all over the place.
We're just ranting at this point.
But I don't know if you guys watch it and you felt this way.
Like, I think it started strong.
It started strong.
It was a little weird.
Like, I believe Shriver is talking to Megan Fahey and they're having an affair.
She's the one that gets murdered.
And you're supposed to figure out who killed her.
And obviously, she's having an affair with the father, which you don't really find out
until a little bit further into the book.
Oh, in the book.
But they're so flagrantly having this affair.
He's standing on his own lawn, holding hands with her, kissing her.
I'm like, can you make me, like, work for this a little bit mentally?
Yeah.
It was fun to try to figure out and piece together things.
the beginning, obviously, because I hadn't read the book. So I'm like, okay, well, I was even
predicting, like, well, she's going to be wearing the bracelet and all this is going to happen.
And it was fun to watch them, try to piece it together. But then it just, again, kind of falls
apart. And then the killer blew my mind. She didn't just murder somebody like that.
Like, again, spoilers, but it's this woman, it's the one brother's wife. She just woke up in the
middle of the night inside to kill somebody, hold her head down and drowned her. It's really violent.
It's really violent. She could have just given her an abortion pill. She could have crushed up some
misappropriable.
and just killed the baby.
She didn't have to hold her head down.
Like I was like, what happened here?
This is so unrealistic.
Again, I know it's just TV.
It's just like a fictional story.
But I was like, this would never happen.
Like I watched all this for this to be the outcome.
What?
I mean, the outcome made no sense.
And it's just, does that the book though?
No.
What?
You guys could read this book and you'd be like, none of this.
Who kills her in the book?
I don't.
There are huge spoilers here, you guys.
Yeah.
I think we said that.
Like, if you don't want to be...
It turns into it.
It's an accident.
What?
There's no murder.
Wait, so the book was just like a loose inspiration for the show.
Yes.
The book is fantastic.
It is...
The book is told from the perspective of like four different people across different time periods.
And you...
I mean, I'm such as...
I'm always like that douchebag.
It's like the book is better.
But the book is always better.
It's going to be better.
character development. You really get to see inside of all these characters. And like, they made some
choices in the show that they pulled from the book but didn't give any context. Like, the bride is in love
with the groom's best friend. And this sort of affair plays out throughout the whole book. Yeah.
Like, will they, won't they? And this is so painful. And they're wrestling with this the whole time.
And he is, the best friend is so similar to the bride. And they have this connection that she can't form
with her future husband and it's a beautiful story.
Yeah, I like that a lot more.
They didn't even give us any clues till midway through the series.
That came out of nowhere.
And I had no bearing on the story either.
Yes.
Yeah.
And then I was like, is the mom also fucking him?
Yeah, there's all these like red herrings that amount to nothing.
Yes.
They sort of tease all these things throughout the show that like, and I was just wondering
and I asked you this, like, if I'm Ellen Hildebrandt and I've like written this book,
which is really like a fantastic book, and I see what you've done to my book.
book. How much do you care? I mean, that's a tale is all this time. I don't know. Every author's
probably different. Yeah. There's got to be a spectrum of I don't care. I'm getting that check.
And people who know, know that the book is better. And maybe they like that. Maybe they like the
book is better. Who wouldn't? You know what I mean? And like, yeah, of course, I'm a better writer than all
these fucking TV people. Or maybe there's like, oh my God, I can't believe you destroyed my story. But
most people probably fall somewhere in the middle. Or I don't know. I don't know.
I mean, I don't know.
We'd have to talk to, like, different authors.
I've seen people say different things.
I mean, I read a piece with Robin Lee, who wrote Idea of You.
And it was kind of like, this isn't how I did it.
This wasn't necessarily the story that I wrote, but that's life.
I don't know.
I mean, I just think there's a huge spectrum of that in terms of the adaptations and how the authors feel about it.
Yeah.
If I'm an author, I would at least, I would like it to be juxtaposed to tell me lies.
It's interesting because tell me lies on screen was such a departure from the book,
but it was a fantastic piece of content.
It still was a phenomenal show with great actors,
and I love the storylines,
and I thought the stuff they chose to leave out
didn't materially impact the show in a way
that I didn't like it.
There was really good decisions made,
and they made a great show,
even though it's not the same as the book.
Ellen Hildebrand's book, they didn't do that.
Like she can't be like, well, at least they made a great show.
No, they did.
Also that.
Yes, you're exactly right.
It's like, oh, they changed it,
but it still turned out well.
totally yeah okay and one last thing is that the debate is tonight so we just needed to record this
and get out the door so we are not going to be able to talk about the debate between
Kamala Harris and Donald Trump but I don't know we have some predictions I guess she'll win
he'll be more incoherent than ever I mean I don't know I just he's getting worse for sure
I'm thinking about when he debated Biden and then the first one was so unbearable like he
was shouting and screaming over him and then they really calmed him down by the second one. And it
wasn't that bad. I remember very clearly being like, oh shit, he didn't do that bad of a job.
But I think he's declining. I think he doesn't know what he's saying. I think he is a complete
inability to really answer any questions directly. And I think that she, aside from all the other
terrible reasons why he shouldn't be president, like God forbid. But I think she knows her shit.
She's not going to take his shit. I can't wait for the one-liners. And I couldn't be
more excited to watch. I mean, I think she's going to mop the floor with him. I can't wait.
I'm excited to watch it. I was laughing thinking, like, what if you and I were on stage and Tesla just
muted my mic while you were talking? So I guess the story is that the mics are going to be
muted, but they didn't want them to be. Neither did. Well, so Kamala didn't want mics to be muted because
she knows she can handle herself and he can't. But his camp, Donald Trump's camp, wanted them muted because
they know that he'll just dig his grave.
Yeah. Not to his base, though. His base
will still think he did an amazing job no matter what.
But I think that's what I heard that like, she was like, no, let him, let him just go.
Let him go. Yeah, let him go.
Well, it's a big week of TV. By the time this airs, as we record this, the debate, it's
tonight. The VMAs are tomorrow night. Both will have aired by the time this comes out.
And then Sunday night is the Emmys, our friend Heather McMahon, always on the red carpet,
interviewing people when we love to see her do it.
So if anything crazy happens with any of these things, we will talk about it next week.
