Starting point is 00:00:00 Chris Go, that song from Downstate gets me pumped up every time. Welcome back, my friends, to another one here on Insight. I'm CVV, Chris Van Fleet. Happy Friday. Happy Halloween as well.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Thank you for being a real one and for hanging out with me on an AskCV episode. And thank you for making Insight the number one wrestling podcast on the planet. Hit a twist of fate on that follow button wherever you're listening right now because I don't want you to miss a single episode.
Starting point is 00:00:53 And let me tell you, I got a phone call earlier this week about the biggest interview of the year. And I'm not trying to exaggerate when I say that. I don't want to give away too much because we haven't recorded it yet. And who knows, schedules may change, plans may change. But if everything does go to plan, you will be hearing that interview in the next. Well, you'll definitely be hearing it before the end of the year. You'll be hearing it, I'd say between now and December 13th. It's big.
Starting point is 00:01:26 So big. We are also less than a month away from Insight Live in San Diego. The show is almost sold out. So if you were thinking of going to kick off Survivor Series weekend, it's Friday, November 28th, get those tickets now at CVVTix.com. We'll be announcing the guest in the next probably week or so. Then we've got Insight Live in Las Vegas, the Thursday of WrestleMania week. Those tickets are also on sale and grab the CVV-V-V-IP tickets, which include an exclusive
Starting point is 00:01:57 special Ask CVV before the show and a meet and greet after the show, CVV-Tix.com. Welcome, my friend, to AskCV-CV number 107-foot-tall edition. And you can't teach that. Also, welcome to Ask CVV number 1-0 Best of Seven series edition. And I've got a deep cut for you. Welcome to Ask CVV number 107 year itch. Oh, that is such a deep cut. Billy Kidman's finisher.
Starting point is 00:02:41 It's what he called his shooting star press. and also because I had so many people messaging me about this one. Not really sure if it works, but you can be the judge. Welcome to Ask CVV number one. Oh, Dan the Beast Severn edition. It kind of works. Seven, seven. But Dan the Beast Seven is a freaking legend and someone I haven't had on the show yet.
Starting point is 00:03:08 But if you have an idea for next week for AskCTV number one, Let me know. Send me an email. CVV at Chris Vanfleet.com. Send it in on social media. Use in that hashtag, Ask CVV, or leave a comment on Spotify
Starting point is 00:03:25 with your question or your reference to not a lot of, what could it be with an eight? What wrestling reference is an eight? You guys will let me know. You'll figure it out.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Also, if you're listening on Spotify, just leave the word, Woo! and I'd love to see how many O's you can put on that. The official Rick Flair Wu, I don't know if you know this or not, has five O's. He's trademarked five O's. So W. Oh, oh, oh, oh, is the official spelling.
Starting point is 00:03:57 But just put woo with as many O's as you would like on there. Someone also pointed out that Ask CVV sounds like a rock radio station. And I kind of agree with you. Ask CVV 10, 10, 14 of the morning. chilly 57 degrees outside. New music from jelly roll out of the way and your chance went tickets to see him in concert coming up at 11.
Starting point is 00:04:22 There were radio voices every time Maven is on the show. Oh, one of my favorite things. Maven just, he goes for it every time. And I worked in radio for many years. Thankfully, I never spoken that voice when I was on the radio. 10.14 in the morning.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Let's kick off. Ask CVV. 107 here with this one from Harley D. Hansen 2002 on Instagram who says, hey, CVV, what are your Saturday night main event predictions? I will be at the show. I'm super excited and this card looks pretty stacked. I wish I was going to be at the show. You're right. This card does look stacked. The Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah. Let's talk about the match that everybody has been talking about for the last week here. CM Punk versus. is Jay Uso for the vacant world heavyweight championship.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I was pretty convinced that all of this was just a way for CM Punk to win that championship back and to get a real run rather than his five-minute run that he got at SummerSlam before the ruse of the century, Seth Rollins cashed in. And I know it's like recency bias maybe playing into this, but the ruse of the century throwing the crutches off to the side, that is, that's like one, too, with the heist of the century in terms of cash-ins. Like, I love the Dolph Ziegler one so much, but heist of the century, ruse of the century, like, they're both so good. Like, I think on any given day, you could answer one or the other, and you wouldn't be wrong. But I just thought
Starting point is 00:06:01 this whole thing was just a vehicle to get CM Punk that championship back. And he certainly deserves it. But after Monday, after, after Raw and the segment that we saw between Jay Uso and CM Punk kind of had me thinking, you know what, both of these guys, both Jay Uso and CM Punk both deserve another title run. Like I don't feel like for CM Punk's for obvious reasons didn't get to like go all the way. You didn't get to see what he was fully capable of doing, you know, for obvious reasons. It was five minutes long.
Starting point is 00:06:35 But I feel like there wasn't a ton to the Jay Uso one. either. And I feel like Jay Uso needs a real World Heavyweight Championship run as well. And I think that there was a strong case made on Raw as to like, wait a second, I was pretty convinced that this whole thing was just for CM Punk to win, but now I'm like, huh, could Jay Uso win? And if Jay Uso wins, do we see a new version of him? I know that Yeet is so over. I know his entrance is so over that he does it more than once now and plays the song more than once. He runs it back. How funny was that on Monday when CM Punk asked to run his song back too?
Starting point is 00:07:17 And the crowd's singing along to that. You could tell him how funny CM Punk thought that was. But what if, what if there's a chance here that Jay Uso walks out of Saturday Night's main event in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the World Heavyweight Champion? And I feel like there's, like this is a possibility. And I didn't think that before Monday. And I think that whenever Jay Uso's career does come to an end, it's not going to end with him just being a one-time champion. I think that Jay Uso does have another run in there at some point in time. I don't know if it's this weekend.
Starting point is 00:07:53 And if you were to ask me right now what my prediction is, I still think that CM Punk is going to win. My gut still says that. And I think that there's a lot more stories to be told after that. I think it's CM Punk Braun Breaker from there. that makes a lot of sense to me, but also CM Punk LA Knight. Like, I don't want to get into this too much, but I just don't understand how LA Night
Starting point is 00:08:16 isn't part of this title match on Saturday night. Like it just doesn't, it doesn't make any sense to me. He's been so close, so many times, even if he's not going to win tomorrow, put him in there so that we think he has a chance. And I just don't know how he's not part of that. I, I, I, that one just makes me really scratch my head. But I'm going to go with CM Punk on this one.
Starting point is 00:08:39 And that I think opens up quite a few interesting feuds for Survivor series, which is right around the corner. It opens up some interesting options as we get into Royal Rumble and then the road to WrestleMania. So I'm going to go with CM Punk on this one. And I do think, I know there's been a lot of chatter online and a lot of rumors online. What if Seth Rawlins comes out and puts himself in the match? I truly think that Seth Rollins is injured.
Starting point is 00:09:06 I'd love to be wrong. I'd love to be worked so badly and that Seth Rollins adheres to K-Fabe so much that I'm wrong about this, but I actually do think that Seth Rollins is injured, and I don't think that this one is a work at all. I don't see why the vision would have been broken up so early when they were really just starting to find their footing and figure things out.
Starting point is 00:09:28 I think that Seth Rollins is out of the picture for at least a little while. I don't know how long. And I think that that's actually pretty cool, too, that if we are to believe that Seth Rollins is actually injured, and I do think that, I like that it's not like, all right, he's out with this specific injury and it's getting this specific surgery and he's going to be out eight to 12 weeks and then you start to do the math from there. I like that it's just like, it's all vague. I really like that it's just, I don't know, is he out for two months? Is he out for six months? Is he out for how? We don't know. So, But I would think, I would think that Seth Rollins is in the picture here for
Starting point is 00:10:07 WrestleMania. And the match that feels like it's been teased for such a long time is Roman Raines versus Seth Rollins. I think that's the match we get at WrestleMania 42. But I mean, it's October 31st as for recording this right now. Who knows what the card looks like for WrestleMania. But I'm going with CM Punk on that one. Then we've got Cody Rhodes defending the.
Starting point is 00:10:32 undisputed WWE championship against Drew McIntyre once again. The odds on my bookie have Cody Rhodes is the favorite here and of course
Starting point is 00:10:40 when you sign up at my bookie, use my code. CVV you'll get a lovely 50% welcome bonus on your first deposit not just for WWB but for
Starting point is 00:10:49 the World Series or college football whatever you want. NFL, it's all on. UFC, it's all on there. I'm going to go, I'm going to agree with this. I think that Cody Rhodes
Starting point is 00:11:00 remains the champion I would love to see the WWE championship change hands at something other than a major PLE. It'd be so cool for this to change hands on Saturday night's main event. And man, you want to talk about someone who's deserving of another championship run? That man is Drew McIntyre for sure. I just don't think it happens yet. And I just love how Drew McIntyre is pouring everything into his character work, whether it's him getting a title shot or it's him and just in some sort of other match, whether it's the stuff
Starting point is 00:11:37 we see on TV or the tweets that he's sending out, which are sometimes so brutal, I love that he pours everything into it. And this version that we have of Drew McIntyre right now is easily the best version of Drew McIntyre that we've ever seen. He's due for another championship run. I'd love to see it happen. I just don't think it happens here yet. So I'm going with Cody Rhodes. on that one. But man, I'd love to be wrong. I would, I would love to be wrong. Jade Cargo versus Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship. I love this new version of Jade Cargo. I love the heel turn here. And I think that WWE will want to run with this as well. I'm going to go with Jade on this. She is the favorite on my bookie. And I'm interested to see what Jade can do with this. Like,
Starting point is 00:12:31 having that attitude change for her. I love it. I think it suits her like really, really well. And then the match that I'm most excited about. The triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship. Dirty Dominic Mysterio putting that title on the line against Pentah and Rusev. And of course, triple threat rules apply here. So the champion does not need to be pinned in order to lose the championship.
Starting point is 00:12:56 And that's interesting, right? Because when you think about how Dirty Dom won this at Russell, He didn't pin the champion to win it. Braun Breaker went into that match as the IAC champion, and Dominic Mysterio pinned Finn Baller to win the title. And I feel like that type of thing could definitely happen here, and that could come right back around to bite Dominic Mysterio. I think it's Penta's time.
Starting point is 00:13:24 I think that Penta has been on fire quite literally, because what a incredible entrance he has. He's been on fire since his WWE debut. And I think that this entire year he's had, because it's been almost a full calendar year. He debuted in January. We're going to see him. It'll be a full year.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And as of this January, it will be 12 months of him in WWE. I think he ends his first year in WWE, holding that Intercontinental Championship. And then I would, like he's on raw, almost every single week. I would love to see him do something kind of like the Johnson Open Challenge or maybe,
Starting point is 00:14:02 you don't have to call the Open Challenge, but maybe it's Pentah just out there every week, defending the Intercontinental Championship, giving us these banger, incredible matches. I'd love to see it. I'm going Pence on this one. And I think it's just because Dominic Mysterio is destined for more. He's destined for bigger things. And we'll get to that in a few questions here. But I think that 2026, as we look ahead, especially.
Starting point is 00:14:27 with all the people, John Sina included, AJ Stiles included, who are going to be hanging him up real soon. I think that 2026 is going to start to be the year of who's next, what's next, and starting to build for the future. Dominic Mysterio and Brombreaker are certainly at the top of that list when we look at the men's division. So those are my picks there for Saturday night's main event. It would be very interesting here. I think that there's, I think that there's more to do. do with Jay Uso. And there's been a lot that it's been made about the dislikes on the WWU YouTube channel, like the dislikes of Jay Uso winning the Battle Royal to get this World Heavyweight
Starting point is 00:15:09 Championship shot, like way more dislikes than there are likes. And I get it. WWE fans are saying, we don't want this. Well, if they don't want that, what if Jay Uso does something with this, turns it on its head. And he could almost do like a, could almost do like what John Cena tried to do with the heel turn now. It's like, oh yeah, you, you don't like me. Like you're upset that I became the champion and you're upset that I became the champion again, if that's what happens here at Saturday Night's main event. He could turn that into, I think, a pretty brilliant heel run. But then you lose the
Starting point is 00:15:42 entrance. He could, like, tease people that he's going to do the eat and that he doesn't do the heat. Could kind of be like a Daniel Bryan like, yes, no thing, right? The crowd's saying yes, he's saying no. I just think that there's something there. I'd love to see that play out, but I'm still going to go with CM Punk. An email from Sam Tompkins who says, yo, yo, yo, CVV.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Firstly, yes, you did pronounce Gloucestershire, right? And it's so good hearing a North American saying it correctly. Secondly, we all saw you in RVV. At least I hope it was RVV and we haven't got another cold play situation on our hands. We saw you and RVV at Raw this Monday. and I was wondering is being there in person at a Seamus match as brutal as it looks and sounds on TV because J.D. got lit up in that fight and was covered in welts and bruises. All the best to you and your family from Sam, a real, real one, also from Gloucestershire. I'm glad to know that I said Gloucestershire, right? And yes, you'll be happy to know I was with RVV. Yes, that was, of course, my beautiful, incredible, amazing wife, Rachel Van Fleet that was with me on Raw.
Starting point is 00:17:00 And thank you, everyone who tagged me in those photos when you spotted me on your screen on Monday night. Raw was in Anaheim. It was so cool being there. Amazing chat and wrestling with you guys around the arena and being there for that show. What a main event. And to answer your question, yes. A Seamus match is definitely more brutal in person. than it is on TV.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Like, he goes for it. Like, hearing the, just the slaps, like, hearing the way that he, he does not pull back. And when you hear it in person, you're like, oh, yeah. Those are, those are some pretty stiff shots for sure. But I think that's what J.D. like, loves. Go back and listen to the interview with J.D. McDonough from earlier this year. He talks about how he just loves making other people look good. Like he loves being the person in the ring who's elevating whoever he's working with.
Starting point is 00:17:56 And I think that with someone like Seamus, they both got that European background. I think it's just like, oh, let's go out there and like give the people what they paid their money to see. So yeah, that's every Seamus match for sure. But when you're there in person, especially when you're sitting on the floor and we were fortunate enough to get tickets on the floor. Shout out to seek geek for that. but when you're that close, it's like, oh, my goodness. Wow. And I think that was RVV's first full wrestling show in two years, two and a half years.
Starting point is 00:18:38 And I say full wrestling show because I don't know if I've, I don't know if you remember this story or not. But when Raw was in Anaheim, a year and a half ago, we tried to take my daughter. daughter Logan. Well, we did take my daughter Logan. Okay, she was nine months old at the time. We took my daughter Logan. We get there. We get to our seats. And the first match is Cody Rhodes, lots of fireworks versus Drew McIntyre, one large firework. And that didn't go well for a nine-year-old, who was refusing to wear the ear protection. We tried to put it on. She kept ripping it off. Try to put it back on. She ripped it off again. So it didn't go so well. We lasted at
Starting point is 00:19:21 show for about 90 seconds. And like Logan was crying from the loud noises and we were like, this is really not smart. And she cried for a long time. And Rachel's like, did we just like really mess up by bringing our baby to Monday Night Raw? And I'm like, I don't know. I feel awful. So happy to report. There are no problems here. We learned our lesson that we should wait some time until the ear protection can stay on, and then we'll try bringing Logan or Cooper to a wrestling show at some point in the probably distant future. So, yeah, this was Rachel's first show, first full show in, I think since having the babies.
Starting point is 00:20:14 She had a blast, though. She had an absolute blast. It was so much fun. And it's always so cool. watching wrestling through the eyes of someone who doesn't watch all the time. Like Rachel's familiar with the main character. She's familiar with like some of the bigger storylines, but she doesn't know the intricacies of all of this.
Starting point is 00:20:36 And it was really cool seeing things through her point of view. Like Rusev walked right in front of us during his match. And she goes, oh my God, that guy's massive. I'm like, I know. He's huge. And also funny, we ran into C.J. Perry later that night. And Rachel told CJ this story, Lana, for those of you who don't know who C.J. Perry is, that's a real name. And we were like, oh, yeah, my wife said that Rousseff's massive. She's like, oh, yeah, and he's even smaller than he used to be. And she's like, what? He used to be bigger than that. That's crazy. So it was really cool being able to like watch wrestling through those kind of new eyes and experience it through that. This episode is brought to you by Hymns.

Nothing better than a homegrown Java Joe and hankering down to a little inside Ask CVV goodness. Keep doing what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Game recognized game. My question is this. In all of the promos for WWE Unreal, Paul Vec spoke in creative about what's the story of 2025. I'd like to go reflect on that statement a little bit and ask what the past 12 months have brought to the table and what the story presented both to WWE as a company and business as a whole. Is it the emergence of next generation main eventors like Braun, Bronson, Dom, Gunther, etc? Is it the gradual recession of the Roman Raines character, John Cena's retirement tour? What do you surmise as the story for 2026 building as we are a 15-month lead time towards the most expensive WrestleMania of, of all time in 2027.
Starting point is 00:25:20 An excellent question. And that's true. That was a big part of unreal. So I think that the story of 2025, for sure, is John Cena's farewell tour. He was featured on 10 out of 11 PLE posters. He was on two out of five Saturday night's main event posters. This whole year started really last July, July 2024, when John Sina announced his retirement in Toronto at Money in the Bank.
Starting point is 00:25:48 And then he said it's going to be January to December and laid the whole thing out. So I really think the story for 2025 and most of the marketing, most of the promotion around this year has been centered around John Cena's appearances and John Cena's matches. Think about it. Raw on Netflix. What was one of the main selling points of that? Obviously outside of the main event, which was Seth Rollins and CM Punk. The main selling point was John Cena is.
Starting point is 00:26:15 kicking off the retirement tour on Netflix at the premiere. And then we go ahead to the Royal Rumble. It's John Sina's last Royal Rumble. Can he pull this thing off that goes from there to Elimination Chamber? And John Sina basically saying, I'm not going to have to earn my spot at Elimination Chamber. I'm just, I'm inserting myself. I'm John Sina. The career that I've had, we're kind of starting to see maybe some foreshadowing of what
Starting point is 00:26:43 was to come, but we, I don't know, didn't really. expected at that time. And then, of course, what happened later on that night, the John Sina he'll turn, and then we're off to the races. I think everything about this year, and then into John Sina's final WrestleMania, never seen 17, all of that. And now we're at this point where it's like, who's John Sina going to wrestle next? And then we're going to get to the point in December. And we've been talking about it all year, but who's John Sina going to wrestle last? The storyline, for sure, this year has been John Sina and this farewell. tour. And it feels like this isn't something we're going to see again. Like a 12-month 36 date thing
Starting point is 00:27:23 where it's like we're counting down until it's finally over. I don't think we're going to see that happen again. Hasn't happen before. It's happening now. I just don't know if they would ever do this again. I think if you look at last year, 2024, the story there was definitely centered around Cody finishing the story. The entire. buildup to WrestleMania 40 was, is he going to finish the story? Is Cody Rhodes going to finally do with Dusty Rhodes? Never did. Is it going to win the WWE championship? And then it went from, is he going to finish the story to he did finish the story? Now, where does it go from here? And the story in 2024 focused so much around Cody Rhodes. As we look ahead to 2026, in my opinion,
Starting point is 00:28:11 the story is what's next. We've got John Cena, retirement. We've got John Cena, retirement. at the end of this year. We've got AJ Stiles, who says he's retiring in 2026. We know that Roman Raines is working, like you mentioned, Liam, on a reduced schedule now. We know that Randy Orton doesn't have that many more years left. I think it's about who's going to be the next phase, who's going to be the next wave of superstars who are going to take that torch and run with it. And I think that next year, 2026 is when we're going to start to see some younger talent, win the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship for the first time. I think that we're going to see Braun Breaker and or Dominic Mysterio.
Starting point is 00:28:54 One or the other, possibly both, being world champions next year. I could definitely see Bronbreaker being the world champion before next year is done. I think that he has all of the skills to do it. He ticks every box. But I think that that's what it is. I think it's about setting up for the future next year. year. Maybe you agree, maybe you disagree with that, but that's just the way that I see it right now. That seems to be how things are setting up, at least in my opinion.
Starting point is 00:29:26 Splat him on Spotify. What a, what a username. Splat him. Do you think Kurt Engel will have an appearance in John Cena's last match? I think 100% Kurt Angle will be there. I think that there'll be a lot of legends. I think it'll be a who's who in the building that night. I think that Kurt Engle will be sitting ringside for sure. I don't think that Kurt Engel's part of the match itself. I would love to have seen a full circle moment of Kurt Engel and John Sina being the first match that John Sina ever had on the WWE main roster. It would be amazing if we could pay that off with Kurt Engel being John Sina's final opponent as well. Kurt Angle has said many times, times, and I will reiterate it here that he can't wrestle anymore. We would love to see it.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Kurt Engel is easily one of the greatest of all time, but he said his body just won't let him wrestle anymore. So I feel like we've talked about it enough that Kurt Engel can't be in the match. He can't be the opponent. But this question seems to come up like almost every day, certainly every week. So I feel like it's important to just reiterate. This is not happening. Kurt Engel's not working us here. He can't actually participate in the match. That's not to say that he couldn't have some role in the match, but I just don't see that happening. I think that there will be a wonderful tribute to John Sina's incredible 23-year WWE career. Kurt Engle will certainly be part of that, but I don't think Kurt Engel is part of the match at all. He'll be sitting there, smiling, clapping, cheering his
Starting point is 00:31:04 old rival and friend on, but I think that's it. an email from Gus Lynch that says, Hey, Chris, new listener to the podcast, but fast fan of your show. Well, thank you so much, Gus. My question for you this week is, what do you make of the teaser trailers of shoes that all culminated slash seemingly related
Starting point is 00:31:25 to the poker chip 2026 teaser that we saw on Raw? I assumed that whatever it was had to do with war games in San Diego, but do you really think this is connected to a WrestleMania so far away? I would love to hear your thoughts. and conspiracies as to what the plan is. Nothing but love Gus from Louisville.
Starting point is 00:31:44 P.S., would you rather have to fight one horse-sized duck or 10 duck-sized horses? Well, we'll get to that in a minute. There was so much speculation about these quick teaser shots of the shoes. And everybody online was trying to figure out who wears those kind of shoes and whose shoes are those? Oh, my goodness, those are clearly Brock Leszger's cowboy boots. What does this all mean?
Starting point is 00:32:12 And there was a lot of speculation as to like, is this like the new repackaging of the vision? Now that Seth Rollins is gone and injured, is this what the vision's going to be like? Because those look like Paul Heyman's shoes. Those look like they could be maybe Bronn Breaker's shoes. That's definitely Brock Lezzer's cowboy boots. Brock Lezzer has this huge history with Paul Heyman.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Well, we got the payoff, right? We got the payoff that this was just an ad for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. That's it. And we saw who the shoes belonged to as they all walked up to that poker table. So Tuesday on the Pat McAfee show, we got the big reveal. And we had Cody Rhodes, Roman Raines, Brock Lesnar, C.M. Punk, Triple H, and Paul Heyman all sit down at this high stakes poker table to set up WrestleMania at Las Vegas once again with the tagline
Starting point is 00:33:12 WrestleMania Vegas, it's anyone's game. The thing that I love and the reason that we're chatting about it now on Ask CVV is I just love how imaginative we can all be. We saw like one second shots of black shoes and our imaginations just started going crazy. And that's the thing I love about pro wrestling. Sure, the payoff was just a WrestleMania poster, a WrestleMania teaser.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Tickets are on sale now. That's what this ended up being. But I love that, like, it was so quick. It was just a shot of shoes. And people were like, well, is this a new faction? Is it this? is it that? And I just think that that's one of the greatest things about wrestling. Is you can see one second like this and go, well, what is this? What's this going to be?
Starting point is 00:34:12 And the other, like, I guess the downside to that is then people start creating these stories in their head. And they start setting up these expectations in their head. Oh, wow. Well, it's going to be this that leads to a title shot and this faction and these people together. And oh, my goodness, You imagine if this means a title shot for a Bronbreaker or Bronson Reed? And then if it doesn't end up being that, now you're upset. And that's the funniest thing about it as well. So I think it's amazing that our imaginations are allowed to run wild. And there's a lot of places in life where we're not given that opportunity for our
Starting point is 00:34:51 imaginations to run wild. Here, our imaginations run wild. now people set up these expectations in their head. And then when the reality of the situation does not meet the expectations that you have, you end up being disappointed, which I always think is just such a funny thing. But that's what this was. All of that chat, all that speculation is WrestleMania 42 tickets are, I guess, still on sale because they won't on sale a month ago.
Starting point is 00:35:20 So I guess still on sale. I will see you there. I'll be there for WrestleMania 42. back in Las Vegas. And of course, I mentioned at the start of the show, but I have a live show that Thursday night, and I would love to see you there. Now, to the would you rather question,
Starting point is 00:35:38 would you rather have to fight one horse-sized duck or 10 duck-sized horses? Ducks are kind of mean. Like, you ever got around a mama duck who's sitting on eggs or who has little ducklings? They're mean. like they're hissing at you, they're mean, like they're snapping at you. And that's just when they're small.
Starting point is 00:36:03 So I think you put that up to like a horse-sized duck. That sounds scary to me. The amount of pressure that those jaws would be able to slap down on any one of your limbs, just break it clean off. Ten duck-sized horses, on the other hand. I don't know, they'd be super cute, be running around, these tiny little tiny little ponies just running around. I mean, I think the most dangerous thing about a horse is they're going to either buck you off
Starting point is 00:36:33 if you're on, like, riding them, or they're going to kick you. And I feel like a little duck-sized horse kicking you. I don't know. Doesn't seem to, it kind of feels like it might be cute, like a little flick. Like a little just flicking you there. And like if we're, if I'm fighting them, right, in this situation you've created here, am I fighting for my life? Like, I've got to get out of this alive, right?
Starting point is 00:37:00 So it feels like it'd be a lot easier to kick these duck-sized horses than it would be to try to fight off this massive duck. I mean, and here's the other thing. That massive horse-sized duck is flying too. He's able to dive-bomb you and attack you from the air. Definitely going with the 10 duck-sized duck-sized duck. horses here, Gus. And I always appreciate a ridiculous, would you rather question. Mark Romano on Spotify
Starting point is 00:37:35 says, Game 6 of the World Series is on Friday night. Yes, tonight, which is also Halloween, which is a little different for me every year, as that that is the day my mom's birthday's on. Well, happy birthday to your mom, Mark. My question is, did the Jays win it all on Friday, or did the Dodgers force a game seven on Saturday. Happy Halloween. Go Jays go. And much love from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. I was at Game 5 at Dodger Stadium. And again, I won't talk a ton about baseball if you're not a baseball fan or you're not a Blue Jays fan. But the Blue Jays made history by hitting back to back home runs to kick off the game. Three pitches, two home runs. First pitch of the game, home run. Two pitches later, Vladdy goes deep on other home run. It sucked all of the energy out of Dodger Stadium.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Like it was, it's usually a fairly, like, rocking crowd in there. And I feel like the Blue Jays just kept chipping away. Needless to say, Blue Jays won. I had a wonderful night with the lovely, incredible, beautiful Rachel Van Vleet. It was also really cool seeing fellow wrestling fans at Dodger Stadium and being able to. able to say what's up and chat a little wrestling with you. That was so cool. Are you, are you, Chris? Oh my gosh. So good to meet you. That was so cool. Like, what are you doing here at the World Series? Cheering for the Blue Jays, of course. I think that, so the Blue Jets haven't won the World Series in 32 years since 1993. They won back to back, 92, 93. If they win, it's going to be massive already. There's so many Blue Jays fans in Toronto. But if they win on Halloween, I could just like picture all
Starting point is 00:39:23 people downtown who are dressed in whatever costumes they have and then celebrating the Blue Jays on top of that, I think it's, yeah, I think it's going to be crazy. So yeah, I'm going with the Blue Jays winning at all tonight. And it just brings out the 10-year-old boy in me. I was 10 years old the last time the Blue Jays won the World Series. Nistalgia is a hell of a drug. I say it every week. It is so true. And I have had so many hits of nostalgia when it comes to the Blue Jays and the World Series and thinking back to where I was and what I was doing when I was 10 years old and just in love with baseball at that point in time.
Starting point is 00:40:04 So it was amazing that I was at a game. Just unbelievable that I was able to go to the World Series and share that incredible night with my wife. If you're a Dodgers fan, I'm sorry. Blue Jays have really been beating up on you lately. Gino Falasco emailed this one and said, Hey, Chris, real, real one here from Youngstown, Ohio. My question for you, CVV, is where do you rank Roman's run
Starting point is 00:40:36 from 2020 to 2024 amongst the best storylines in WWE history? Me personally, it's at the top. I was uninterested when COVID hit, but once Roman appeared on the screen with Paul Heyman, I was sucked back in. interested to hear your thoughts, appreciate you getting me through the night shifts
Starting point is 00:40:54 from your fellow Ohioan OHIO. Gino. I think that it's certainly the biggest storyline of the last like 10 years or so. Biggest storyline ever, Gino. I mean, I just,
Starting point is 00:41:11 respectfully, no way. I think the biggest storyline of all time in WWE has got to be Austin McMahon and everything that came out of that and Austin ended up turning heel. Like there was so much going on with Stone Cold and Mr. McMahon, especially at that the peak of the attitude era, the peak of the Monday Night Wars. I think the NWO forming and everything up until they added like, you know, 416 members.
Starting point is 00:41:40 The NWO was huge and the biggest faction ever in wrestling history and the storyline that went around that very, very big. And I think if you want to go back even earlier in the 90s, the mega power is forming and then the mega power is exploding was just like blew our little minds when that happened. Crazy. But I think Roman turning heel and the bloodline story that ended up coming from that, it's the best storyline of the last like hen-ish years for sure. And it was a real turning point in the COVID era of WWE, which all wrestling was. was a little rough in 2020. Like all of the wrestling companies,
Starting point is 00:42:24 WW, AEWTNA, figuring out how to do a show with no audience when the audience is like such a huge, crucial part of the show. It's rough. Like watching March, April, May, June of 2020,
Starting point is 00:42:40 it's tough. It's really, like it's difficult to watch. I think that the Roman storyline, especially during the Thunderdome era, like, yeah. That was a big one. And that then leading to the bloodline. And just when you thought the bloodline was over and how much further could this go? Whoa, check this out. We've got another six months
Starting point is 00:43:02 we can add on to this. And just when that started to feel like it was maybe getting a little stale, Sammy Zane is the honorary ouse? Where's it going to go from here? Oh, my gosh. Is he going to be the one to end Roman Rain's incredible run? Then we've got to be the one. Then we've got to go. all that. Then we got Cody. And Cody ends up being the one to end the 1,316 day run of Romerans. There was so much going on there. So biggest storyline of this decade, I think for sure. But the biggest storyline of all time? No. I don't know. Maybe you weren't watching wrestling in 97, 98, 99. But Austin McMahon was big. Big, the biggest.

Starting point is 00:46:25 107 year itch, Billy Kidman's finisher, yes! I love that we're on the same page here. I wanted to ask if you have insight to the use of Brock Lesnar. I mean, he came back for the match with Sina, but do you think there are any creative plans for him moving forward?
Starting point is 00:46:40 Or was this just something for Sina's retirement tour? I would love to see Lesnar back in the hunt for the WWA championship and take someone back to Sue. Plexity and reign supreme. Brock Lezzer is definitely back in the picture. You wouldn't be part of the WrestleMania promotion if he wasn't back in the picture here.
Starting point is 00:47:01 How much sooner is he back in the picture? Like, when do we see another match from him? When do we see another appearance from him? Obviously, we don't have any answers there. But I think that Brock Lezor has a match at WrestleMania for sure. Maybe he has one other match leading up to then. like Brock Lezzer's kind of always been on that part-time schedule for the last, I don't know, like better part of the decade, I think.
Starting point is 00:47:26 So I think that if he's on that schedule where we see him wrestle like as a, I think a special attraction, three times a year, four times a year. I think that it remains a special thing when we see him in there. And it's like, oh, if Brock isn't a match, it's not something that Brock does that often. It means something. And I also think that that. like Brock's schedule lends itself to why he's had this longevity. Like Brock Lesnar's been able to wrestle over 20 years.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Of course, there was the break to do UFC and it was away from WWE for many of those years. But I think that his longevity is because he's just worked smart about it. He hasn't been the guy who's out there working 200 matches a year. Like I'm looking at it right now, six matches in 2023. Eight matches in 2020. Wow, one of them was a house show. Isn't that crazy?
Starting point is 00:48:26 That's probably Brock Lezler's first house show. And who knows how long. One match in 2021, three matches in 2020. So like working that kind of schedule, I think, has really allowed Brock Lezler to remain that special attraction and also allow him to just go out there and still wrestle it almost 50 years old. So yes, I think he's part of it. I think this works up to a big match at WrestleMania.
Starting point is 00:48:52 I know it's super early, but Brock Lesnar versus Braun Breaker feels like it makes a ton of sense. And there was chat years ago about Brock Leser versus Goonther that never ended up happening. Maybe that's something they revisit again. But yeah, I think Brock Lesnar is part of storylines for sure moving forward. Whether he's in the championship picture again, I don't know. And I know that like when you think about Brock and you think about championships,
Starting point is 00:49:22 the only one he's ever won is a world title, a WWE championship. Like he hasn't had any mid-card titles, no tag titles. So is he back in the title picture with Cody? I don't think so. I feel like that story's already been told. Is he back in there for a World Heavyweight Championship? Yeah. Maybe. There's a lot of of interesting matchups that could happen for him. Email from Mo Tyrob, who says, Kiaora, that's our way of saying hello here in New Zealand. Chris, real, real one here.
Starting point is 00:50:00 Checking in from Hamilton, New Zealand. Since the next episode is Ask CVV number 107. I thought it'd be fun to call it the 100 Best of Seven series. Shout out to Seamus and Cesaro in 2016. I love it. Who's on your Mount Rushmore of wrestlers who inspire you, you beyond the ring. Not just because of championships or promos, but through their mindset, their personal story, or impact outside of wrestling. Mine would be Bray Wyatt, Sammy Zane,
Starting point is 00:50:26 John Sina, and Becky Lynch, each one showing a mix of creativity, perseverance, empathy, and purpose. Also, my wife and I are expecting our first baby boy in December. And hearing you talk about your fatherhood on the show genuinely makes me look forward to that next chapter even more. That's the best, Mo. I really appreciate you. and how you balance passion and family. It's inspiring in its own right. Thanks for everything you do, man. Every Ask CVV feels like a chat between friends
Starting point is 00:50:54 who just love this crazy business. Cheers, Mo. Well, congratulations, Mo. That little baby boy in December is going to change your life in all of the best ways. And I am the best thing I've ever done. My greatest accomplishment is becoming a father to Logan and Cooper. It's just the best.
Starting point is 00:51:14 and seeing them grow and learn every single day. It's amazing. The people who inspire me, my Mount Rushmore. Oh, got to love a good Mount Rushmore question. Is this the only one of the? I feel like there's got to be at least one more that we get to. When I think about someone who inspires me, DDP is the first name that immediately comes to mind.
Starting point is 00:51:39 Like, the world is such a better place because DDP is in it. And think of all the rest of the rest. who were helped because of DDP. He's the best and he is everything that you want him to be. I feel like he's an angel on earth and he's not only an incredible wrestler, a Hall of Famer doing amazing work with DDP yoga, but he's just a good friend too. Like the amount of times he's just reached out to be like, bro, I'm thinking about you. It's like, hey, what's up, dude?
Starting point is 00:52:15 And then you chat for like 30, 40 minutes and just like catch up. He's the best. I love DDP. Amazing. Every list like this should have DDP on it. John Sina is also incredibly inspiring to me. The way that he lives his life. And like, they say you shouldn't meet your heroes.
Starting point is 00:52:35 But if your hero is John Sina, you should do whatever you can to try to meet him. He's just so present in every moment. moment and you can see just the way that he like he has this like desire to give back and obviously you're well aware that he is the Guinness World Record holder for the most make a wish is ever done and I think that that's just like that just speaks to who he is and he's just like someone who is like constantly wants to give back John Sina for sure how can you not be inspired by Edge's story edge is someone who dedicated his entire life to pro wrestling and then is told he can't do it anymore and defies all of the odds comes back with one of the, if not the greatest returns
Starting point is 00:53:29 in all of wrestling history. That beautiful moment at the Royal Rumble in 2020, the look on his face says it all. And I just feel like in that moment, we were all edge. We were all looking at that going, he was told that he couldn't do it. He's doing it. Defying the odds. And I just feel like there's something that's super inspiring about that. Same thing with Saraya, aka Paige, told she can't wrestle again. She's doing it. Same with Brian Danielson, aka Daniel Bryan. Same thing. Told he can't do it. Forced to retire. Man, years later goes out and puts on some of the best matches of his career. Like, how can you not be inspired? by that stuff.
Starting point is 00:54:15 And man, as it is always the case with every Mount Rushmore, it leaves us down to just one choice left. And it doesn't mean that I don't want other people to be on this list. It doesn't mean that I don't think that they're inspiring as well. But I'm super inspired by The Rock and the career he's built both in wrestling and elsewhere. And again, they say you shouldn't meet your heroes. But if your hero is Dwayne Johnson, do whatever you can to try to meet him. Like it's more than just like, hello, like shaking your hand and like on to the next one.
Starting point is 00:54:55 Like the time he takes with people, it's, and it's like personable. And I saw this. I've seen this so many times, but I saw it most recently at the world premiere or the Los Angeles premiere for the smashing machine. He was just, he was being swarmed by everybody who just, wanted it just a second of his time. And he was given everyone like two, three, four, five minutes, like looking them in the eye, shaking their hand, giving them a hug, having a conversation with them, like looked right at me when he saw it was me. Chris, how's your kid? What? Like, because the last time
Starting point is 00:55:32 I saw him was when I interviewed him for Black Adam and I said, I just found out I'm about to be a father. I was wondering if you had any advice. And that's when he gave me amazing advice that he gave me, which I'll never forget. And it's online if you want to go check it out. But like for him to three years later, remember that? Like crazy. Yeah, wild. So The Rock, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:55:58 And I know that it's like in style right now to hate on the Rock. And like, I get that the storyline with the John Cena heel turn at Elimination Chamber didn't have the payoff that we were expecting with Travis Scott and the Rock. And that then led to that pretty not great, pretty awful main event between Cody Rhodes and John Cena at WrestleMania 41 because there was no payoff. Why wasn't The Rock there? But Travis Scott and Feene, Feene, Fee, I get that.
Starting point is 00:56:27 I get that has become cool to hate on the rock as a whole because of that. But the rock that I have met, the rock that I've been interviewing now for, man, I'm grateful to say it's been 13 years since the last, since the first interview I did with him. He's always been nothing but kind and warm and welcoming and present and really inspiring. So there's my four. Our lists are very different. We only had one person in common.
Starting point is 00:57:01 John Cena, your list is also great. But this is the cool thing about Mount Rushmore lists is they're my decisions and your decisions. Oh, and I just looked ahead at this next question. We've got ourselves another Mount Rushmore question here. Love it. Quana C.S. on Spotify says, Ask CVV 107. I love your podcast.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Recently started and I have been binging your shows. Well, thank you. Amazing. Always such a delight to hear your interviews and insights on things. Here is a question for you. Amount Rushmore question. Top four best submissions in wrestling. Lastly, have you ever interviewed Mick Foley?
Starting point is 00:57:44 I think that would be quite the episode. Well, my friend, I have interviewed Mick Foley before, but it's been a long time. In fact, I think the last time I interviewed Mick Foley was right around the first time I interviewed The Rock, something like 13 years ago. Wow. They interviewed, yeah, so Mick Foley and Jeremy Borash came to my TV station in Cleveland, Ohio, W.OIO, 19 action news at the time. It's now Cleveland's 19. And I interviewed them, like I was interviewing Mick and then Jeremy Borash came in. That's actually on my main channel. If you go way back, way, way, way, way, way back, you'll find that interview.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Or just go to my videos and then search like oldest to newest. And leave a comment on there. And let me know that you're watching this video in 2025 because you heard about it on AskCTV. number 107. That'll blow my mind. But it's interesting that you ask, have I interviewed McFoley because I'm going to be interviewing McFoley on Sunday. It's an interview you'll see in, I guess, the next probably two-ish weeks, and I'm pumped. Like, there is so much to talk to McFully about, but he's in town. He's at the Irvine Improv. He has an amazing, hilarious one-man show, so he's at the Irvine Improv on Sunday. I'm sure you can grab tickets at Improv.com.
Starting point is 00:59:13 If it's not sold out, I don't want to be stepping on any toes here, but yes, I have the opportunity to interview him, and I can't wait. And I hope that you're as excited as I am about this. My Mount Rushmore of submissions. Okay, the sharpshooter. I think that when I think about submissions,
Starting point is 00:59:34 I immediately think about Brett Hart. I immediately think about the sharpshooter. And I know lots of other people have done the sharpshooter, but I immediately think of Brett Hart. So, sharpshooter. The good old ankle lock. Brought into WWE by Ken Shamrock, of course, used by Kurt Angle,
Starting point is 00:59:51 also used most recently by Chad Gable. I just love how it's so simple. And you can get into it from so many different moves. It's an incredible reversal because all you're doing is just grabbing the leg. They're grabbing the foot, really. I've always had such a thing in like, the guy giving it's standing,
Starting point is 01:00:10 mostly standing, although Ken Shamrock would do the kneeling ankle lock. And then Angle did his version of it, the angle lock. Remember when it was called the angle lock? He would stand with it. And I just feel like it's a great opportunity
Starting point is 01:00:23 for that person who's taking the move to be really selling. And then the person who's standing up to like standing up and like their full body is selling it. Love it. I'm going to give you a little curb ball here. The Texas.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Cloverleaf. When I saw Dean Malenko do that in WCW, I was doing my, my backyard wrestling stuff as Chris Sharp and was like kind of just toying with the idea of my, the 16 year old version of me is toying, toying with the idea of like, maybe Chris Sharp needs a submission hold. And I remember seeing the Texas Cloverlyleaf and being like, oh, I like that. That's the one. And I remember so dumb. I was recording episodes of Ron Nitro for various different things. things to see various different moves. But when Dean Malenka would slap on the Texas cloverleaf, I would go frame by frame by frame, like hitting the pause button, pause, pause, pause, pause, so that I could see exactly. Okay, so he's bending that leg over. He's reaching that arm under,
Starting point is 01:01:25 grasping it with the other arm, and then he's turning him around. Okay. All right, I got this now. I know it was created by Dory Funk Jr., but really popularized by Dean Malenko. I always thought it was so cool when Nick Aldous was using it, especially in the NWA. But the Texas cloverleaf just has such a big place in my heart. And then of course, we're down to just one more spot here. Mount Rushmore style you can only add four. I thought the way that Chris Benoit did the Crippler Cross face was just so brutal looking. And like, of course, the figure four is a massive move. And that's one that like, you can't think about submissions without thinking about Rick Flair and the figure four. But like when Chris Benoit slapped on the Crippler Cross face, you felt it.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Like you felt the anguish in his opponent. You felt like, oh, yeah, like he's really got that in. So there's my list. And I, yeah, of course, the figure four is part of that. There's so many other submission moves that could also be on this list. but those are mine. Gay Tano Bruno emailed this one and said, Hey, Stevie, big fan of the show.
Starting point is 01:02:46 In the spirit of Halloween, who was or is the scariest WW wrestling persona or character of all time? Maybe one that genuinely scared you or still scares you. Keep up the great work. All your listeners love you. Sincerely, Guy Bruno. It's got to be Papa Shango. When he cursed the ultimate warrior,
Starting point is 01:03:07 Every kid believed it. Like people were legitimately scared of Papa Shango and his curses. There's been lots of spooky characters over the years. But I just think that Papa Shango felt so real. And in that time and the types of gimmicky characters that we had, something just felt so authentic about what he did. Also, in the spirit of Halloween, our entire family is dressing up as dinosaurs tonight.
Starting point is 01:03:40 My daughter, Logan, two and a half, obsessed with dynos, can name every dino. You show her a picture of a triceratops. She'll know it's a triceratops. You show her a picture of a stegosaurus. She knows the stegosaurus. T-rex, Montosaurus, she knows.
Starting point is 01:03:57 She knows. And her little brother, who's 10 months old, obviously not speaking yet, he loves dynos. We have dinosaurs, pictures hanging in his room. He points at them every morning.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Oh, oh. Oh, oh. So Logan's a purple dinosaur. Cooper is a green dinosaur. RVV is, I think she's a green dinosaur, dark green dinosaur. Gammy, Rachel's mom, is a pink dinosaur. And I'm one of those inflatable ones. I'm one of the inflatable ones where like my body is like poking out of the top.
Starting point is 01:04:36 So it looks like I'm riding the dinosaur. Like I'm like I've got like a safari hat on and I'm riding the dinosaur. Like, whoa, easy there, boy. Ridiculous. Email from Louise Lopez who says, Hey, CVV, greetings from Sydney, Australia. A real, real one, hoping to be a real, real, real, real one real soon. It's been my podcast highlight of the year.
Starting point is 01:05:04 And I always try to guess how you're going to start every show after the ring announcer. intro. Is it going to be all right, happy Friday or whatever it might be? I never get it right. You know what? I never know what I'm going to do either. I just hit record and see what comes up. A lot of here we go, a lot of all right. Of course, it's always welcome back. But sometimes, you know, I don't know. How are you, my friend? Whatever. My question for you, keeping with our theme of Mount Rushmore's, oh man, three Mount Rushmore questions this week. keep them coming. I love it. We talked about the Mount Rushmore for referees, ring announcers and many other things,
Starting point is 01:05:43 but I would love to hear who is in your Mount Rushmore for the voices of WWE, the commentators. I feel like they don't get enough credit as they should. Michael Cole is definitely in there for me. Jerry the King Lawler and J.R. What do you think? All the love, bro, Louise Lopez. So Jim Ross, for sure. How many iconic calls does he have?
Starting point is 01:06:08 My God, tougher than a $2 steak. Beating him like a government mule. Stone cold. Stone cold. There's so many. JR was the voice of the attitude era, the voice of our childhood for so many of us. So Jim Ross, absolutely. Michael Cole.
Starting point is 01:06:30 He is called every major WWE moment for the last 25 years and his work that he's done with Pat McAfee over the last few years, it's just brought out the best of him. And like seeing Michael Cole this loose and having this much fun, I love the, the Cole cam that I like to call it, the little camera they have in the announced table, and you can see just the passion he has, standing on his feet, like yelling these calls. I love it. If you don't respect the work that Michael Cole is doing right now, we're not friends. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:07:07 But you're honestly, you're just crazy. Like Michael Cole is so, so good. And you're not going to appreciate Michael Cole until he's gone. And then you're going to go, man,
Starting point is 01:07:17 he was so good. And I hope that that's no time soon. I hope Michael Cole is around for a long time to come. I've always loved Michael Cool's like authentic style. Like he calls it like it's a real sport. And I've always just really appreciated that.
Starting point is 01:07:33 and Michael Cole is very deservedly getting his flowers over the last few years. Bobby the Brain Heenan, the greatest color commentator in wrestling history. Yeah, I said it. He could make you laugh. He could make you hate him. And he had the ability to make every baby face look stronger just because of the way that he was talking. He was like, he was a heel, but his, He was always so logical with the way that he talked,
Starting point is 01:08:07 which just made it so much more entertaining. So Bobby the Brain Heenan and make, my goodness, we only got one spot left. Gonna add more heads to the Mount Rushmore's. So you're talking just WWE, just WWE? Just WWE? I'm gonna go Jerry the King Lawler. And then so much of, so much of Mount Rushmore's,
Starting point is 01:08:30 like it's personal preference. It's also about like, how old are you? What was the area you were watching? like what were the matches moments that meant a lot to you and he was he was the soundtrack of the attitude era jr and king together were just like an unbelievable incredible incredible duo and like so many of so many of king's inappropriate jokes and general enthusiasm about puppies and other things hilarious like absolutely hilarious and like so fitting for that time and that product.
Starting point is 01:09:07 Like, you couldn't find a better duo than Jerry the King Waller and Jim Ross at that point in time. And I know you asked about WWE specifically, but I think I need to point out just how good the duo of Mike TNAe and Don West were in TNA. Like, they did a lot of the heavy lifting, especially in the early days of TNA when people weren't really sure what this was and how this kind of fit into the wrestling world, they did such a good job of navigating you through. And like Mike Teney, it's just an absolute encyclopedia when it comes to pro wrestling.
Starting point is 01:09:49 And Don West didn't have a background in wrestling. He was like the guy you would see on like selling stuff on TV, but he brought this like incredible charisma and excitement. Like every Don West call that was, Are you freaking kidding me? Get all excited. I got goosebumps just saying that right now. They were the unsung heroes of the early days of TNA.
Starting point is 01:10:15 And I feel like I can never talk about commentary as a whole without giving Mike Tenei and Don West their flowers, both individually and together as a unit. Apina, 7.5 on Spotify says, hey, CVV. What's the biggest bass that you've ever caught? I love bass fishing and I love your question. So the biggest large mouth I've ever caught is nine pounds even. Lake Okeechobee. What a day that was. I caught a nine pounder and an eight pounder the same day,
Starting point is 01:10:54 which I think my biggest bass before moving to Florida, my biggest large mouth before moving in Florida was like just over five pounds. And like, yes, they grow them so much bigger in Florida. I don't want to get too nerdy on you, but there's an completely different strain of bass called the Florida Strain Large Mouth, which grows to be much larger
Starting point is 01:11:13 than the northern strain, large mouth. This has already gotten in the weeds, which is actually where I caught that nine pound large mouth. I caught them in the weeds. And my biggest smallmouth bass is a six pound, seven ounce small mouth I caught on Lake Erie during a bass master tournament. So like, it's one thing to catch a giant bass
Starting point is 01:11:33 when you're out just having fun fishing, but to catch this in a tournament, it's a whole other thing. And like, that's a big small mouth. Like the other small mouth I caught that day were like, still big, like four, four and a half pounds, but like this thing, six, seven,
Starting point is 01:11:50 so like almost six and a half pounds. Huge. So thank you for your question. I love bass fishing with every fiber of my being. I love bass fishing so much that I started a tungsten weight company with my best friend, Aaron Anders. We sell tungsten weights for bass fishing. It's called Woo!
Starting point is 01:12:12 Tungsten W-O-O-Xclamation mark. Tungsten, woo tungsten.com if you would like to buy some of the best tungsten weights on the planet. But thank you for the question. Thank you for allowing me to get nerdy about fishing. And just because I know you're going to ask, I caught the large mouth on a three-eighths ounce swim gym. and I caught the small mouth on a tube jig, just dragging a tube jig.
Starting point is 01:12:38 It was a quarter ounce tube jig? And barely felt the bite. I was just like, oh, there's some dead weight there. Oh, my goodness, that thing's huge. It's like the size of a carp. Emmanuel Dieton, would you rather take a super spear from Ron Breaker or go on a trip to Suplex City? Emmanuel Dieton on Facebook, that is.
Starting point is 01:13:03 I'd like to see CVV take it on WWETV. Well, Emmanuel, I don't think that's going to happen. Are you trying to get me killed here? A super spear from Braun Breaker or a trip to suplex city? How many suplex is a suplex city? Like, what's the, is it three? Does the trip to suplex city begin at three? Is it five?
Starting point is 01:13:22 Because like some trips to suplex cities seem like they're much shorter than others. Is this like just a, is this just a, quick little trip to the store or is it's like a road trip to suplex city because both of them are going to break me in half by God as God is my witness he is broken in half another legendary call from Jim Ross I just tied in two previous questions together the Mount Rushmore of commentators and Mick Foley coming on the show my goodness look at that I guess I'll go with the I guess I'll go to suplex city because like I don't know braum breakers. spears look deadly and I feel like they'd really wind you. At least with the, at least with a
Starting point is 01:14:05 suplex, German release suplex, I'm landing with a lot of my body on the mat, slapping the mac, attack the mat, right? Able to really like break the fall there and I don't know. I don't feel like you can really prepare for a spear. You're probably going to get winded either way, unless Bronbreaker breaks you in half. But yeah, come on. I mean, trying to get me killed here. an email from James Furness. Hey, CVV, I'd love to know what it would take for you to take that Gunther chop once a month while in the shower. Oh my gosh. This is the question from last week.
Starting point is 01:14:46 Ridiculous, would you rather that we had a lot of fun with? The would you rather of, let me pull it up here so that we have it exactly right here. make sure we get it word for word. Would you rather once a month when you get out of the shower, Gunther appears behind you and chops your ass, or every Friday evening, you have to cook a meal for Charlotte Flair, but she's never satisfied and brutally criticizes you for your cooking skills.
Starting point is 01:15:16 I think made the right choice here and pick the, I would cook for Charlotte knowing that I'm not a great chef. And like if she wants to criticize my cooking, that's fine. I get it. And I'm sure she's going to be mean about it, but it's better than getting chopped while naked once a month from Gunther. So what would it take for me to, I don't think, I don't think it would, I don't, James,
Starting point is 01:15:39 this is a, I don't know. So, and then James further says here, so would you rather take a chop from Gunther randomly once a month whilst in the shower, or take a Samoan spike from Solo Sacoa every time you consume 100 liters of water? This would happen while you're drinking the water. The moment you reach your 100th liter and then the counter resets to zero. Love from high Wycombe, England, James. Keep these ridiculous.
Starting point is 01:16:12 Would you rather questions coming, please? So am I going to get chopped randomly in the shower or take a Samoan spike from Solo Sacoa every time I consume 100 liters of water? Well, I think that I would like, I would start to figure out, I would track my water. I think it'd have to. So I'd be tracking my water. I'd be like measuring it out all the time.
Starting point is 01:16:36 So I think I'd be able to then prepare for the Samoan spike from Solo Sacoa. But 100 liters of water, 100 liters of water is about 26, just over 26 gallons. I'm probably drinking about a gallon-ish a day, sometimes more on a hot day or like big workout. So maybe this is happening every three weeks-ish. So the chop from Gunther's once a month, however, in the shower, naked, very weird, it's on my very meaty behind. Or am I getting a Samoan spike while in the middle of drinking water? So like the spike is coming. Water everywhere, like a spit take like a big triple h every time so like every three-ish weeks while in the middle of drinking water i think i'm gonna go with the simone spike and then afterwards like do i get to like
Starting point is 01:17:38 like hey what's up solo good to see you again hey sorry i had to make you come out here to new york for this simone spike but yeah i was just doing these interviews here so anyway seeing like three-ish weeks you make sure you're keeping track of that hundred liters of water oh man sorry uh was I needed to take a sip in the middle of the night. My throat was really sore. Sorry that you had to come all the way to my house and break in just to Simone spike me at 245 a.m. in my bathroom. But yeah, you just want to stick around for a little bit.
Starting point is 01:18:13 You want to just like sleep on the couch and we'll grab some breakfast in the morning. What kind of situation have I created here? Well, guess what? that is the final question on this. Ask CVV number 107-foot-tall edition, and you can't teach that. Also, Ask CVV number one, oh, best of seven series. Ask CVV number 107 year itch. And also, woo, as many O's as you want. Maybe you can just have two O's like Wu Tungsten. Or you could have five O's like Rick Flair. you can have 50
