Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi everyone, Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom. Today is Tuesday, September 27, 2022. It's about 1.40 or so in the afternoon here on the east coast of the United States. Those of you who know me know that my music tastes run to opera and to Beethoven and to Mozart and to Tchaikovsky. But this is a piece that I really can't ignore. It involves Pink Floyd. Actually, it involves Roger Waters, formerly the bassist of Pink Floyd, who now does solo concerts, and why several of his concerts in Poland were recently canceled by Live Nation, which sponsors him, under pressure from the Polish government. What could he possibly have done that would cause the Polish government to cancel his concerts in Poland? Well, he has
Starting point is 00:01:01 very strong opinions about the war in Ukraine, and many of these opinions are shared by many of you and certainly by our two military experts, Scott Ritter and Colonel Doug McGregor. But I'll read the full screen for you first. Here's Roger Waters. Here's what he did. He wrote a letter to President Zelensky's wife, Mrs. Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine. In that letter, he complained about the media not portraying a truthful, in his opinion, view of what's said, in part, the mainstream media in the West seems intent on encouraging public support for escalation of the proxy war between the USA and the Russian Federation that is raging in that way, and it doesn't portray it as the profound ways that really are indisputable. This is becoming a proxy war, but the mainstream media in the United States does not want to portray it that way. Instead, they want to cover what President Biden says about President Putin, also in the Roger Waters letter to the First Lady of Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:02:46 He writes, Unfathomably, the President of the United States of America speaks publicly in raucous and bellicose tones of removing his opposite number in Russia from power. What? Mr. President, the world is not a unipolar Marvel comic strip. What are you thinking? Now, honestly, I never paid much attention to Pink Floyd, but this fellow, Roger Waters, who's no longer with Pink Floyd, is a smart, well-read, articulate man. And I cheer what he says. I cheer his courage in sending that
Starting point is 00:03:28 to the first lady of Ukraine. And I blast the Polish government for not letting Polish rock fans hear the man they admire so much. Judge Napolitano, I'm going to go to Pink Floyd instead of Beethoven tonight. All right, I'll go to Pink Floyd instead of Beethoven tonight. All right, I'll go to Roger Waters instead of Beethoven tonight. Judge Napolitano for judging freedom.
