The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star: Jessi Ngatikaura
00well what is this welcome to the lady gang that's amazing say that again the lady gangthings are about to change around here each week we catch up with hollywood's hottest girl possekelty knight becca tobin and jack vanikhello hello hello welcome to the lady gang i am becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty nightyes hello the level of dumpster fire that my life is right now is trulymore than you because you're busy so busy and i hate people i'm like i'm so busy no you are busylike what is going on i literally don't have time to urinate like it is bananas i was so excited mysweet joe my stage manager at e she collects old magazines and she brought a 1974 17 magazine in
01to show me because we'd been talking about it on set and i felt so bad i keltied her like she cameinto my dressing room and i have like i'm writing emails i'm telling derek to do this i'm gettingmiked up someone else is asking me about a schedule for monday i'm on the phone with my dad and likeshe's like here's the magazine i was like joe i like i can't look through a magazine right nowbut did you was it to hold on to during the day to like look through or she was like trying toshow it to me and i was just like joe i was like i love you i was like can i keep this for a fewdays i really want to look at it but i'm like super overwhelmed right now and she was like okayso at least i used my words well were you rude or were i don't know if i was rude but i was like
39shorter than i would normally be because 75 people the amount of people that are touching me at alltimes right now is too many people and i've had to have so many fittings i can't believe i'm sayingthis but like if i have to try on another dress i am going to i am i cannot try on another dressbecause i am i can't do it but i did it i was trying on dresses i tried on a bunch of dressesand i got a dress for the people's choice country awards and it's great and i found one that i likebut like oh my god another dress champagne problems baby sorry i know yeah how are you guysunrelatable. Sorry. I know. Well, I have to put on another gown and sit in glam for another hour.I'm going to just die. Everything is relative. And I will say I, that is the one thing I don't
31miss about being on TV is the amount of people who touch you in a day. That is a really likea real thing. It's a sensory thing. It's a personal space thing. If you're not a touchyphysical person anyway, it's tough. Yes. And it's like, I do believe that when you're the lead hostof something, like it's my responsibility, mine and Justin's to set the tone of the entire show. And you know, when you're like, we're the hosts, we're the leaders. And so we, I don't want to bea grumpy, terrible person. That's like, I get my makeup done in my room by myself. Like I want tobe a team player. I want to say hello to the crew when I arrive every single day. I want to knowabout their children and their lives. And like, I want to be involved, but like at sometimes that
21is very exhausting, especially when we're so busy right now. So anyway, I'm sorry. Let's do the show.I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I just needed to vent for like two seconds. Is that your bad week? Also, how many hours are you there? So it depends, right? Like I'm not there for that many hours.Your average day. My average day is I go in at like 1.30 and I'm done by like 6.30.Yeah. I think you can do it for four hours. No, a hundred percent. I think the issue is thatI have started working, like scheduling everything because I have so much to do at 8 a.m.So from 8 a.m. right until I leave at 1.30, it's like zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom, like meeting, call call call whatever and then I go and then I'm like overrun with stuff and then I get home at
15seven and like I got sorry this is my bad week we're not even doing it and I get home last nightand I was like my dad's here helping me who's lovely so happy to have you daddy um Chris justgot home from a two-week trip so I haven't seen him but like I got home at seven o'clock and thetwo men are just Chris is laying on the couch in the kitchen on his phone dad's watching thenews and I was like oh I guess I'm gonna cook dinner the girl who just I'm in full glam so I'mlike cooking so then it's like 8 30 so it's a 12 and a half hour like straight through day beforeI even like I guess that's what motherhood is too but like man oh man you couldn't Chris youcouldn't have looked and been like popped a factor meal it's all we do is a factor meal in the
58and then at the end there's sit why did that sometimes they're sitting around and I'm likeoh, I guess I'll rinse the plates and put them in the dishwasher and warm up the apple pienight, night, apple pie. I mean, sorry. And then you really have apple pie or is that the othernight? Because I'm such a thoughtful wife. Chris was coming back from this two week trip and Iapple pies his favorite. So I put the apple pie in the oven so that the house would smell likewarm apple pie when he got home from his two day travel from the middle East. And he could have aslice before he went to bed. Cause I'm a nice person. He didn't even have a slice. I warmedit up again the next day. He ate some yesterday. That's fine. So did I. It was delicious. And then
38you made it from scratch. No, hell no. It was a Sarah Lee. Oh, okay. Whatever it is. Like I justwarmed, I cooked it for 60 minutes in the oven. Anyway, I just, I am crispy burnt. That's all.How are you guys? Do you want to do now? Well, I mean, that was her bad week. So it's time forgood week yes it is bad week oh no you want to tell us your good week yes what is itmy my good week is that at the emmys last week um you know i don't really get gits about anycelebrities like i was like oh there's brie larson there's jen franston like see you saw you againcool. But I met the entire cast of the last season of drag race. And you know what I did? They lock you in a little area when the show's about to start. And I jumped over the rope and
33I ran so fast to plasma. You've never seen a girl run so fast. And I was like, you mean the worldto me. Hello, Nymphia Wynn. Hello, Morphine. Like I literally knew every one of their names. Andthen I took a picture with all of them and I'm going to frame it and put it next to my weddingphoto. It was the most magical day. And now I'm friends with plasma. They, um, uh, sent me a DMvideo last night, just being like, come to New York. I want to hang with you. So basically allmy drag dreams are coming true. Who's next? I'm so sick of my own voice. It's been six minutes ofme. I'm sick of it. Congratulations. Um, onto the show, our show, our New York city show.Yes. Wait, I need three New York city drag Queens to do drag of us. That'd be so fun.
14okay i don't know that is but sure yeah i'm into it there's drag queens make everything betterlike oh my god it's just even if we bomb it'll be great we can have them to bring us back upi love it okay um okay so my my good week is i mean obviously everybody knows that i'm obsessedwith my 12-foot skeleton it's my pride and joy i can't wait to put it up uh they're usually soldout at Home Depot but I learned about something pretty amazing number one Marshall's is oursponsor for our tour and if you come to a show you might get a Marshall's gift certificate andif you want you can spend it on the eight foot talking skeleton at Marshall's wait what whereis this yes it's on the Marshall's website store oh wow at least now I don't know maybe it's sold
02out just like the Home Depot one but eight foot talking skeleton I'm googling it right now onmarshalls.com it's already like affordable not an ad but somebody sent it to me like you needthis and i was like is that from marshalls they have incredible halloween decorations i was inthe one in in store near us and i was like this is where it's at i found him eight foot outdooranimated glow in the dark talking skeleton add to cart add the cart i think it's only like 200bucks anyways so then you get yeah you get your gift card that's a stealing deal but they do havei got so many frog themed skeleton or not skeleton frog well i did get a frog skeleton but frogthemed um halloween decorations from marshall's like very legit and a lot of frogs more than i
55thought would be there i'm happy for you because it's correlated with witches yeahyeah but there's some but there's some like cute ones i don't know yeah um okay so my bad week isi think i have found the culprit for my mysterious rash on my body oh fun we uh took out our cabinetsand there's mold mold mold yeah we knew it we knew it we told you we actually told you it'salways mold. Well, you know, I'm getting really pissed because I have so much fungus infestationon my body, like my fungal acne situation. Now I got a fun fungus mold rash. Um, but I'm gladthat I, I mean, it has to be that it started when we moved in. It's literally my whole body isitchy. It's not like the dermatologist that told me that it was a mosquito bite. I'm like, how do
42you have a mosquito bite all over your body? But now at least I think I have an answer and I cango back to this idiot dermatologist and tell them, I think it's mold. And how do I fix it? I don'tknow how to fix it. Well, I think you just get the mold out of your house and then it shouldgo away. Like it might actually start to go away when you're at your parents now that they'redemoing your house. Well, even when I went on vacation, it was bad though. So it's like somehowsitting in my body. You need to do like a charcoal pills or something. I'm going to, you know,I'm going to ask Christina Perry because she's a big mold queen. She had mold in her house andshe'll know, she'll know what to do. Great. Yeah. Please. If anybody has any recommendations,
20this is adult life. I make the apple pie. You've got mold. I mean, we're just like, welcome to the lady game. What an, what an exciting show this is. Hollywood's hottest girl, Parsi.I mean, I have had friends, like, I thought that mold was just like the like buzzword of the liketime, you know, like I have friends whose kids have had like mystery illnesses and they've goneto like renovate a bathroom and the kid's bathroom underneath the bathtub is all black mold.and they're like, oh yeah, we scrubbed the mold out and my kid was fine. So that's great. Yeah.I think we'll be fine. Yeah. You'll be fine. You'll be totally fine. Um, okay. So my bad weekis that I love caffeine, right? Like I'm, but I'm a, I am a latte girl or a coffee in the morning
10with like a little creamer or whatever. I started drinking this thing called jet fuel. It's a,It's like a smoothie shop down the street and they have something called jet fuel and it's likethey're cold brew. And I add a little like almond milk and monk fruit, whatever. And I started tonotice that it gave me like, it gave me a lot of energy and I really liked it. Right. I was like, this is, this is second best to a Celsius. So I started to drink that. And then I had another onea few days later. And then I had another one this morning and I am insufferable on caffeine of thatcaliber because I was also on it on something similar during our Stassi interview. And Iremember finishing the Stassi interview thinking, Becca, like, first of all, you're the most annoying
06person that has ever lived you're extra annoying today and I don't know why and I couldn't youknow when like you can't even stop the words from coming out of your mouth but you know you're likeI'm on everyone's nerves right now but I can't stop talking it was me at the beginning of thisepisode no not really really I know that feeling no like we're supposed to talk on it so but butbut it's like an extra edge, you know? So today I had it. And then I realized, you know, by right now it's like two o'clock already in, in Austin. And I spent the fourfirst four hours of my morning being the most annoying person you've ever met in your life. And I, I just, I'm, I don't know what to do because I really like the feeling,
52but maybe I just have to work on my self-control on it, but it feels like I'm on like Adderall.Yeah. Okay. Really? I'm really, I'm into this Becca because, um, well, first of all, we didget a lot of comments about the saucy interview being like, it was so nice to hear Becca talkingso much. So I actually think that it's like Kelty shut the up. Like Becca, bring your, use your voice, you know? But I feel the same way about Celsius because I'm drinking Celsius and it,I know it's giving me anxiety. Like I drink the Celsius and then I'm like so much to do so muchto do. I will do it all. I can control this. I'm okay. And then like, but like, I know it's theCelsius, but I like, I, but I know it's the Celsius giving me this like particular kind of caffeine
38anxiety, but I can't stop. Like, I'm literally like, why would I want to feel calm? And like,I have my life together when I could feel absolutely out of control and super like I'mgoing to explode. I know. I actually went to another place where they were selling like onmy way home today the kin you know the kin like adaptogenin whatever and it said calm and i waslike gross no i mean i i love those drinks like they have one that's like joy and i love it buti was like calm never you're like i am looking for a line right now i am hyped up you guys i dranki i'm not kidding you and i'm gonna get railed for this i drank five celsius's the day of theEmmy awards. I started at 9am. It was a 16 hour day. And I was drinking my last one backstage
28while I was doing interviews at the Emmys at seven 30. And I was so desperate for the highthat I was drinking that like berry purple one. That's disgusting. And I was like, it's fine.Five. And then I came home. I came home from the Emmys, wash my face. And I went right to sleep.Like I had no problem. And then everyone was, everyone's like, do you have like ADHD orsomething because if it doesn't like caffeine doesn't affect your sleep it means there'ssomething wrong with you and I was like well obviously something's wrong with me but anywayI'm just letting you know five I can't even finish one without feeling like my heart isgonna explode like I can take a half and I'm like well I'm shitting my pants now and like I'm
03shaking wait speaking of shitting your pants um this is my good week it's not for me because Idon't, I'm not a like poo struggle girly, but because we talk about it so much, it's me. It'syou. But I just feel like all of my girlfriends, a lot of them have poo issues. It's a very likefemale struggle, right? Where they have trouble pooing. And you know, I'm in this network ofamazing women in Austin and everyone shares information. Everybody, it's like so nice. Ifyou have, if you need a certain doctor, there's someone who's got it. If you need like a solutionto whatever a plumber well this well I guess this is kind of like a plumber too but the other day Iwas at my friend Radhika's house and we play um pickleball and the girls were talking about their
54poo issues and I was like I can't really I mean I poo every morning and I'm sorry that's like myflex you know and Radhika took out this bag of plums they're fermented plums and they're calledthe company is called share s-h-a-r-e and she gets these plums and she takes them at nightand it cleans out her pipes like nothing has ever cleaned her pipes before and every girlwho tried it at pickleball reported back that they are like changed women this is not an adi don't even know where this place is or where they come from it could be black market shit idon't know but they were like this is the only thing i've ever tried that has ever worked youneed to take it at night because apparently you will shit your pants if you're anywhere out in
46public yeah and don't and they said not to buy it on amazon you want to go direct to the sitebut that was my this is my psa for all the ladies out there it's a pooper psa it's a pooper psa andit's called share uh swiss.us is the site they get it from okay jack add to cart jack mini trialpack i'm getting it now yeah um it it's a fermented plum it's like a japanese plum uhyeah so you guys i just i report back i want the lady gang to really be boots on the ground forthis um all right well we're really excited about coming up our next guest coming up sodies and hairextensions now back to the lady gang our guest today has shot to fame on the hit hulu show thesecret lives of mormon wives she's giving us the drama not only on our screens but bringing the
40drama to the hairs darling as the owner of jay-z style salon and jay-z academy she's known for herbig hair looks and the mormon wives utah hair look featuring loads of extensions and multi-dimensionalcolor she's an icon already please welcome to the lady gang the very controversial and very verypretty jesse not a cara naughty cara you got it almost yeah i got an infamous kelty intro i feelso special i know wait so jesse you have listened to the lady gang before right i've listened toyou guys for like five years this is so flattering so good i know we're so good she's just like i'mjust coloring hair, listening to the podcast, doing your life. So I want to start with this.Did you all agree to have the same look or is this just the thing?
35So it's kind of a Utah thing. We're known for like the certain curl and the way we look, but I do all the girls' hair. So I guess it's my fault that I just made us look like carbon copies.well I always to this day I'm like I I still don't know how to do the Mormon curl is it called theMormon curl their Mormon wave we'll call it like the Utah curl oh yes yeah and it's hard it is andit's so funny because just that's how we do it here and it's such like a thing to everyone elseand to me I'm like wait that's just how you do hair what is the secret though it's it's all abouthow you move the iron. So if like, this was my hair and this was an iron, you kind of like wrapit. And then at the very end, you kind of like tug it. So it's a little straight at the end
21and everyone's fun of it, but it gives it that like relaxed beach wave.So it's a Utah thing, I guess. And I guess a Mormon thing more specifically.Well, Kelsey, we really have no room to talk about all of them having the same hair becausefor 10 years, we've all had the same hair. So we get it. It's like when you're with girls andyou're seeing their hair looking pretty, why wouldn't you copy it? Especially if there'ssomebody to do it. Yeah. Yeah. And it's been great for my business because I sell curlingirons and our sales have been through the roof. So I'm like, amazing. Oh my, we need some.Well, it's interesting because one of the girls in our lady in community wrote,
59I need to know about the hair. I need extension counts. It looks heavy or they're very blessed.like this is not one pack of hair what like I know you and you also have the brand you sellthe hair right yeah it's my own extension line so okay so what do we get when in a pack is ita double pack what's happening first of all the vanity questions forget the scandal I want to knowabout the hair yeah it's a controversy right no it's actually crazy you guys like look at my hairlike I have so much hair and I don't know if you can even like see it but it's just all fake likeit's not even mine. And that's how most of us are. It's just like, why are hairs so big? It'sfull of secrets, you know? I know. I miss extension days. None of you have extensions?
44Not now. I mean, I used to, I used to live in my extensions, but I like, I couldn't take care ofthem. It was just dreads everywhere. So I was like, eh, we'll just have the bad hair. It's fine. They are a lot of maintenance and that's the downside. But I guess when you want to becamera ready, like when we're filming the show, it's like the bigger, the better. I will saylike when we're not filming a lot of the girls take them out and take a break yeah it hurts yourhead yes um okay so how has how's life how's everything been I mean this is shot from a canonfame I mean overnight your vagina is on Daily Mail okay so like how are you handling thatum I always you know what you'll understand this because I'm a Kelty like I'm very type
31a I'm go, go, go. So my life has always been like, what's next? I can't sit still. So for me,it's just like, okay, add it to the plate. And it's been fun, but it is very strange becauseyou film a show and you do it. No one knows. Then your life goes back to normal for six months. Then all of a sudden the show comes out, we're doing interviews and red carpets and podcasts, and everyone's seen my vagina. And it's very strange that overnight people know who we are.it's wild. Well, I feel like you have somewhat of the least controversy. Well, it's like skeletons,I guess I would say from your past. Cause there's a lot of things with a lot of the girlsthat people are like digging up or even like drama with between everybody. Like
14you seem to be the most solid, I would say. Oh, well, thank you. Everyone calls me the mom ofthe group, maybe because I'm the oldest, but I feel like I'm kind of there as like the voiceof reasons sometimes. And I like to have fun. I'm like the alcoholic on the show, but overall,I feel like I'm like more settled, you know? So I'm just there for a good time. Like I'll get inthe drama with them, but it's not about me, which is great. And I think that's the best place to beon reality TV. Oh my God. Yes. That's the best place to be. And as an alcoholic, how much, what are we saying? How much are you drinking? Cause I feel like that's, I don't know what Iwould be? No, literally I probably drink once or twice a month, but in Mormon land, that's
55alcoholic. Like I'm the only one on the show that actively drinks. So I think I was just kind of putin that category because of that. Oh my God. That's so funny. Rebel. God, what would I be?I want, I'm a big, we're, and Becca's a big housewife fan. So, and we're, we've had manyof the housewives. And so the fact that we have this show from Utah and we also have housewivesis like it's a girl cultural moment are you guys friends with each other like are they coming toyou from hair and then going to heather to get lips or like how much crossover is there betweenbecause to me this is like the marvel universe of my life where it's like wolverine and deadpoolyou know what i mean well and with demi's husband was married to a housewife or uh right yeah angie
39Harrington from Salt Lake. I saw this as a headline and I also gasped Kelty.Yeah. Now me, I haven't watched the show. I only saw him as Angie's husband onHousewives of Salt Lake City. Would you say his showing is better or worse on your show?So he's never been on Housewives. Demi's husband. Oh. So he was, okay. So Demi's husband on ourshow. They've been married for five years, but he was married to Angie and they have two kidstogether from way before. So her husband on Housewives is her new husband. Oh, different.Okay. But he was married for a long time. He seems pretty solid. He is. Yeah. They were marriedmaybe eight years or so, and they have two kids together and Brett's the best. He's such a good
28guy, but it is, we call it small Lake city because everyone knows everyone. So there's always sometype of crossover I've done a bunch of the housewives hair I'm friends with Whitney um Ialways tell this story um when Jen before Jen Shaw went to prison she was in my break room eatingpizza and I was looking at my security cameras and I just saw her and so I like ran over I waslike what is she doing here but she was just getting her hair done and was hanging out andit was so like weird but she was really nice so we definitely met you know each other throughnetworking in the beauty industry and I've done a few of their hair but I don't know how they feelabout us now. I'm like, are we competitors now? Or can we still be friends? I think I'm kind of
09into that now. Were you ever approached to be a housewife? Yeah, actually about three years agowhen they were casting, I don't know if it was after Jen went to prison, but they were castingagain. And I got asked to interview and I had like submitted an application that they asked me to do.And then I never heard back. And so I was like, Oh, and then a year later, I found an email thathad gone to my junk folder that they did ask me to come in and i never saw it but you know itworked out because this show is probably a better fit for me so that was universal that was likesomeone was protecting you yeah that is wild i could have been like the next monica garcia whoknows wait can i ask you about the casting process for this show because obviously well
59number one in the beginning and kind of how they portrayed the whole show it was very heavy on themormon swinging right but the couples that were actually part of the swinging other than tayloraren't on the show so it's a bunch of you that weren't actually a part of it but the show'strying to push it and make it seem people guess that maybe you were like when you were castingfor the show how was that process and how did they kind of explain what the show was gonna be to youso that's the interesting thing is I got casted after Taylor got arrested I don't know if youguys know much about that storyline yeah so they had filmed the first episode they were going topick up and film the rest she got arrested so it all went on pause and they weren't sure if she was
42actually going to be a part of it anymore so they were like oh we got to bring new people in so Iwas a part of the friend group and so they just naturally brought in girls I think they interviewedlike a hundred girls though of like influencers in utah because it's a huge community hereso girls on the show just recommended people to be interviewed so macy recommended meand i interviewed and got it and they actually casted two other girls leila and jen so all ofus got casted and at this point taylor wasn't on the show so when we got brought on we didn't eventhink the swinging scandal was going to be a part of it it was just kind of pitched as like a showabout Utah moms who create content and have businesses. And it was just, you know, we'll
24see what happens. But then maybe a couple months before filming Taylor ended up being able to bea part of it. So then it was like, okay, we're going to include her story, how it affected allof you because we were friends. And then it just progressed from there. Can I ask a question assomeone who doesn't watch, what did Taylor get arrested for? Oh gosh. Okay. So she got arrestedfor domestic violence. Her and her boyfriend were fighting. She was super drunk and she threw achair at him, but her child was in the room. And so it was like domestic violence in presence ofa minor. It was awful. And I feel really bad because she, you know, she obviously had thelowest moment of her life. It's now on television. We did a big premiere for the first episode and
04it was all of our friends and family in this big movie theater watching that first episode. Theyplayed the body cam footage and she's just crying. And as her friend, it is, and she knows she madea mistake but it was it was meant to be because she's learned so much from it i mean jack you sawthe show you can see a difference in taylor from episode one to the rest of the season right i she'slike one of my favorite people i've ever seen on reality tv because she's so so self-aware andshe's always trying to better herself like and really just throwing everything out there solike authentic authentically we hate that word but like she truly is just herself like 100percent super messy but like really puts it all out there and like I think that that's why she's
48gotten such a great response I'm sure she probably watched was filming being like I'm gonna be thevillain like because all my shit's out there but I think that everybody has really resonated withher because she's so likable because she's so just herself it's such a lesson on self-awarenessbecause I think if she had come in and be like yeah I was a swinger yeah I got arrested likewho cares people would have hated her kind of like how she was in the first episode but that arrestreally turned her life around she had to hit rock bottom and now she's in a way better place way morelevel-headed and she owns her shit and that's what I love about Taylor she's honest and sheowns up to what she's done and she's just a work in progress and admits that so she's like the
29perfect anti-hero I think so then can we talk about Whitney oh yeah bring it up a lady gangfacebook group a girl said did the girls learn that whitney was really calculating or cruel ordid they always know that she came off so bad on the show so basically if you're not if you haven'twatched yet there's kind of like two head bitches in charge and you have to be like team whitney orteam taylor essentially yeah yeah okay whitney has a very short cunty bob and she's the only personthat i've seen so far on the show in utah that is not doing jay-z styles hair and she did for asecond she got red you did her hair red right I did her hair for almost two years and I was theone who took her red and took her blonde and long hair and then it was like right before filming she
15cut it off without telling me like went to somewhere else and I was like oh I think shewas going for the homestead look you know she's going ballerina farms I can't trust her I can'ttrust her with that bob I don't trust her she's not like us I've known from episode one that thisis not i don't i haven't even finished the series but like i know whitney is she's bad she's badnews yeah i can tell becca let me well okay gets it i need to watch it but no but this is actuallyour girls haven't watched it let me let me let me talk so that i could be the voice of the girlswho have yet to watch i will be watching this is there's like not a world that i'm not watchingthis it's like everything of all of my favorite things but i am i'm doing a service for the
02podcast so you're welcome thank you okay becca what i was gonna say okay you might know whitneywell you're not super on tiktok but there was a video a couple years ago of a girl that was inthe NICU because her son or daughter i don't know her baby had rsv and was very sick and um she wasdoing a dance in the hospital room uh like a tiktok dance while telling the world like she'slike dancing next to him she's like he's on oxygen and people are like this is so it was the mostinsane video I've ever seen in my life so that's like why like that is who she is I'm stunned it'swell as a mother yeah you'll see this on the show she announced her pregnancy to her family byputting her pee stick that she peed on in a cake and cutting it for them and being like surprise
57and they're like you peed on this your urine is in this cake that is who Whitney is well and thenshe did ketamine which again kind of weird Mormon but whatever she did ketamine and then as she waslike coming out of like her new realizations after doing ketamine she was admitted to Macy I thinkshe did it with or who did she do ketamine with she was like I I you know my big realization isi did post that video for followers and clout like that's what her realizations are coming offof ketamine like her inner demons came out and she's like i did want to be famous yeah i thinkthat's get don't get me wrong but i'm pretty sure that's what everyone is doing on tiktoklike that is if that's not the like goal on tiktok why are you posting on tiktok
47it wasn't groundbreaking information no no but like for her to like admit that on the show shesaid i regret doing that video because of the outcome and the outcome was her getting a lotof hate and being judged so i'm like oh that's why you regret it not because you realized it wasvery splitting yeah you're sick child yeah yeah uh can we talk about the soda okay so i grew up in ain a pretty big Mormon town in, in Northern Canada. And I, you know, it was like a no caffeine,no thing. The rules are very confusing, but then I see all of you guys with, I mean, talk dirty to me, the 32 ouncers, like amazing, but you guys are carrying them everywhere. Andthen you do the dirty soda. I need a full, like what is on the menu for sodas and you're allowed
37to drink it yeah it's this is why I'm an ex-mormon because there are so many rules to me that don'tmake sense so I'm kind of that voice on the show that's like hey I lived this religion for 25 yearsbut it doesn't make sense to me as I'm an adult now but yeah like you can't have coffee you can'thave tea no hot drinks no alcohol no drugs but then we do ketamine for therapy and we drink sodathat has way more caffeine people are downing red bulls and energy drinks like their water hereand that's okay. So yeah, I don't understand the double standard, but we call the soda shops, the Mormon bar. So there's like a 32 ounce soda with coconut cream and vanilla and peach andraspberry puree. And it's like a dessert and it's so normal here. There's a soda shop on every
23corner. And I don't know if it's a Mormon thing or a Utah thing, but it's like crack here. It'scrazy. Why not hot drinks? I don't know. It's, it's in the word of wisdom. The word of wisdomlike what Mormons obey and follow. And I think it's just because like coffee and tea are typically hot. What I've heard is that back in the day when the word of wisdom was written, hot drinks usually had hallucinogens in them.So people would drink them to like get high and do things. So it just hasn't been updated since then, honestly.
54So it kind of needs to come around to these times because it doesn't add up.But people have found a way around it, you know?the word the whole wisdom it sounds like when you do like a crazy fad diet and you're likethey're like don't you dare touch olive oil but you can take shots of bacon grease yeah and it'slike that's like what it feels like they're like just eat cheese and steak no vegetables don't youdare touch a strawberry don't you dirty slut don't you touch a strawberry oh it's so true and theword of wisdom also says eat meat sparingly and no mormon does that either so it's very weirdwell it's it's there's a lot of um loopholing i feel like happening with also well it's funny
41because i can't remember who said it but they're like there's nothing in the book of wisdom aboutplastic surgery so like you got what i love about you guys is you're very open with the work thatyou've had done i love that you're like the filler the botox whatever um but it's like but yeah wecan do it because it didn't say anything in the book of wisdom it's like well that was also whatwritten in the 1800s so like i love this and then the whole the laughing gas of it all like and didyou just try that can we talk about this yeah so on the show we've had a revelation that we havebeen doing botox wrong now uh when they go to get their botox they get which doesn't hurt by the waybotox feels like nothing they get the laughing gas which is the best 30 minutes of my life when i go
24get a laser and they give that to me I'm on cloud nine having a fun old time but you guys do it forBotox yeah I didn't know till I watched the show that they did that but it was funny because theyplayed it so smart they played my flask scene where I bring a flask and all the girls are likeappalled and like Joseph Smith said that alcohol is not okay and then they immediately go and gethigh to get Botox and I'm like what so I went and did it the other day and it was actually incredibleCause I got filler dissolved and that hurts. So I was like, I'm going to get the laughing gas.Well, the laughing gas literally shoots you into a different dimension.
00Like if we're talking about how up something makes you like a glass of wine versus laughinggas, I'm like, I don't even know where I am when I'm on laughing gas.Yeah.I want to talk about your vagina.Um, I also have a spectacular meat curtain.Um, and, uh, I've never known or had a friend that's ever had this surgery. So you had a labiaplasty, which I thought was just something they offered, but no oneactually got, where did they cut it?
33You know what?I don't actually know the full thing cause I was asleep for it.But I, what I heard was that, you know, how like your insides can hang out, especiallyafter you have a baby, but like you kind of just get pushed out, but they just kind ofsnip all that extra stuff so that it like stays inside your lips. So anything that's just extraneat is what I call it, which is probably not accurate, but it just gets tucked back in andit's gone. So they just cut it off and sew it up. Do you know how many of my girlfriends who've hadbabies are so insecure about the way their vaginas now look because of the stretching and the, you
09know, all of that. Um, and quite frankly, just the destruction that can happen down there. And I'm sure how it can feel too. Like uncomfortable. Yeah. Like you can't wear yogapants because it's tight and you see it all. So it's not even like, Oh, I hate how I look naked. It's like, no, I hate how I look in clothing too. It's hard. Yeah. It's yeah. I love thatyou've been open about it. Cause it's an option. Like how is it good to be open about somethingthat helps your confidence, especially after giving your body to kids, you, you deserve tofeel back to your old self so yeah I'm shameless I'm like everyone get one was it expensive it wasonly like six grand which wasn't too bad yeah in comparison to what everything else costs these
52days well that doesn't fix my problem because I have the puffy lips and that's what I was reallyI think they can do something for that too because there's like levels of itlike okay do you want like I'm gonna get graphic I don't know how this is allowed but likealso tuck in your clitoris. Like we can make that smaller. We can make the lips smaller. Sothere's levels depending on what you need. And I think the doctor does what you need, depending on like what you want. So, I mean, I would, I would do a consult somewhere. It's worthit. How long was the recovery? So if you watch the show, we went to Vegas and that was threedays later. So I was a kite our whole Vegas trip on Percocet. Yeah. So it was great, but I got a
35boob job at the same time. I got smaller implants. So I had this and down there recovering and I wason stage at Chippendales three days later. I was fine. That probably isn't recommended. My doctorsaw that and he was like, um, but I would say probably like three to four days of downtimeand then you're good. That's crazy. I will say the worst part is the recovery is like having a babywhere you have to take like a peri bottle and like spritz yourself rather than wipe for six weeks.so that's helpful can i ask you something what does your husband think about all the plasticsurgery um he's fine with it he's like whatever you want to do as long as you don't mess up yourface too much i've never gotten like plastic surgery on my face the most i've ever done is
18like lip filler and botox so he there was a time when i was like should i get a nose job and he waslike no you're not touching your face you're not going crazy but he understood like the mommymakeover because my body was different. Cause after breastfeeding, my boobs were just unevenand that's why I ended up getting smaller implants. But, um, yeah, he's been totallysupportive. I think as long as I don't pull a Heidi Montag, he's fine. Oh my God.You're listening to the lady gang. Um, can we go back to Chippendales for a second? And can I explain what happened before you asked the question? So, okay. So was it for somebody'sbirthday or was it just, what was the reason? And it was her first time in Vegas. She had just
02turned 21. Layla. Oh yeah. Yeah. Layla. So they have a really young, um, mom and who's never hadan orgasm. Oh my gosh. Girl gets two kids and never had an orgasm. Wild mass is masturbatinglike against, you can't do that. It's, it's definitely frowned upon. Um, and she does sayon the show that even when she tries masturbating, she can't get there. And I think it's cause shenever like learned how, and she feels shame around it. So that is a big thing. The Mormonculture is like, there's a lot of shame around sex. Yeah. You got to focus. That doesn't justhappen. You got to focus. And it is scary when she said, she said on the show, like I would getlike a, even when I was like masturbating, I would get close and then I would get freaked out at the
46feeling. There is like a little bit of that. Like you got to like, not to use the theme, but likeyou got to give it to God for a second and just like, let it go, you know? Um, and it is like aweird sensation, especially when you're like learning. So, you know, you do you girl. Okay.Anyway. Okay. So, um, well you, you can explain it. Why are you at Chippendales? And, um, obviouslyit's like, I want to know the gen of it all and what you think of Zach and what you think of thatwhole situation. So if you want to kind of explain it. So we went to Vegas and some context is thatI live in a different reality because I'm ex-Mormon, so I don't live by the same standardsa lot of the girls do.
25And even my family growing up Mormon, they were just so relaxed. So my mom and I have been to Chippendales together.Macy has been with her mom.For girls, it's more of like an entertainment, fun, it's a show. It's not like we're going to get to it on.Like women aren't really like that, right? So I thought it would be fun to like help the girls let loose. So I was like, this is going to be hilarious.
44I've done it with other girlfriends in the past.I did not think it was going to be a huge deal.so I surprised them and we go to Chippendales and we got the VIP package where we got to goin the back and like rub oil on them and like keep in mind half of them are gay and they werelike telling us that you know the other guy I was rubbing oil he's telling me about his fiancewho's in nursing school like it was very innocent so then we like get invited to you know like sitfront row and the girls in between that and the show were just like freaking out Jen is like Zach'sgonna kill me like he's he she kept saying like I will be a divorced woman if I stay for this show
22and I just didn't understand that and my husband's so chill that I was like oh what so then Jen wascalling Zach he was yelling at her Taylor and Dakota got in a fight so they ended up leavingus girls stayed and here's my thing if it had been like the husband Zach being like oh I justdon't want you to be there, please leave. And that was it fine. But he proceeded to then railinto her the whole night about, I don't love you anymore. I'm taking the kids. You should be abetter example for the church. And for me, while he's at the tables gambling till 2 AM losing allof her money, she gave him like $2,500 to gamble with that. She has like made through likeinfluencing and stuff. And he was out all night long gambling, losing her money while screaming
11at her also have you seen that people have um like stopped the show exactly where it like goes overthe text that he sent her so people are like reading the entire text that he sent that's likescathing and so i think was gonna get out there i think and so that just shows that that was aprivate message he never thought was going to be seen so that's how he talks to her and it wasn'tthe first so for me it's that she gave an addict a budget to gamble because he has lost a significantamount of money in the past for them so this was a problem like this wasn't just like oh we're inVegas like he has a gambling problem so that was hypocritical and then also when us girls lay intoJen a little bit and we're like this isn't normal he shouldn't be treating you this way that was not
53the first time that that's happened we have seen this behavior just not on camera so that's why wewere so heated and to this day I don't really know what's going on she likes to put on a face that'slike everything's fine we're better than ever but yeah I don't really believe it so if we getanother season we'll see how that progresses but I have no problem speaking my mind because he saidthings about all of our marriages too so he was what did he say about you you're like on my exhusband and I was like what so don't throw that out there and expect me to be nice to you you knowand then so did she actually move to New York and do you think that she's probably like doneCause he like, was like, let's get, he wanted to like remove her from the situation and
34like away from the show.Right.He wanted to isolate her from the show, her friends, her life.Um, anyone that was speaking a voice of reason around her, I think they ended up actuallymoving to Arizona because he got accepted there last minute. So they're in Arizona as of right now.And I have no idea what that means for the future of mom talk. Will we survive?
54Who knows?I think you'll survive without her.But I think this is what is so crazy about the show. And I think why it's taken off is it's obviously scandalous to like look inside these perfect lives, but every single person sort of has a story where like people listen to Lady Gang and they're like, I'm a Becca, I'm a Jack, I'm a Kelty. But it's like, you kind of look at this stuff and it's like, how many of your friends, I can think of while you're telling this story, I have a couple of friends that have husbands like this that are like, you know, like you, you can do this, you can't do this, you know? And, and they, and then I also had friends, not, you know, in marriages, but in relationshipstoo, where like, they, they almost like, um, dangle the relationship.Like, if you do this, I'm going to take like, how many times has that happened in real life? And so I think that's, even though you guys are this extreme version, I think it's veryrelatable.
46And I think one of the things that, um, is really interesting and something that Beccatalks a lot about on Lady Gang, especially since she had Ford is like, you, you all discuss howyou lose yourself in motherhood. And then you like, basically mom talk became mom talk becauseyou were like, all I'm doing is like taking care of these kids and I'm losing myself. So I want toget together and just have fun and feel sexy and like fun. So, you know, can you discuss like theloss of self in motherhood and why that's such a big theme in the show? Yeah, I think it'sespecially important that it's the context of Mormon women. We're raised to believe that ouronly purpose in life is to be a mother and to raise kids and the man is the provider. So I think
28a dynamic like Jen's, you actually see quite often in our church where the man holds thepriesthood in the church and they are the provider and they kind of are the spokesperson for thehousehold and you're just the provider or sorry, you're the mom, right? So it happens a lot in theMormon religion where you get so lost in that role. And I think Jen's a great example of shejoined our group. She started making money on TikTok. She started getting recognition online. She has these friends that are outspoken and we do fun things. And she realized I can have a voice.I can have an opinion. And she's finding that in real time on the show, which is crazy to watch, but it does happen. I mean, yeah, you're a mom, Becca, you know, that you lose yourself in
08motherhood because it's all encompassing. You don't come number one anymore. And so I thinkit's important for moms to either have a creative outlet, whether it's a friend group or a job orsomething you do for yourself. And that's kind of what mom talk was for us. We get together once aweek, we make silly videos. We didn't really expect it to blow up the way it did, but it did.And it brought in an income as well. So it was kind of best of both worlds. But for me,my favorite part is that we're getting together and we're just having fun. Like the sillinessis my favorite part of our group. And you don't see a lot of that on the show because it's drama,But we had so many fun times, like on and off camera that I think every mom needs a
47group like that to escape in.Well, it's so nice you guys have community like that.Like that's something, and I think a lot of people have watched the show being like, Iwish I had, I have like one friend or no friends at all around. All of my friends are like all across the country where I'm like, I wish I had somesort of, Becca has this, but like a community of moms or women that you can actually hangout with like almost every day.So that's something that I think is now of people being like, we're the mom talk of Arizona. We're the mom talk of Washington. And they're like building these communities. It's really cute.
17yeah that's so cute yeah i when i talk to my friends who are mothers in other cities likelike jack said i have a really great group of girlfriends here and we really do prioritizeour own fun but when i talk to other girls in other cities motherhood can be so isolatingand you make fun and girl time the bottom of the priority list and it's crazy even if yougive yourself like one trip a year or one like one fun thing every couple months as moms it reallydoes something to your soul like it seems silly nobody else could understand it but you're likeoh my god for three hours I sat at a table with a cocktail I didn't have to worry if my kid wasfalling in a pool like it's like crazy how our minds are so programmed to not just chill and
07be present and have fun and laugh and all that. So it's cool. You guys are showing that. I lovethat. Yeah. And it's funny as moms too, that we're so prone to guilt. Like in the beginning, when you do allow yourself to have that three hours away or a trip away, you're still thinkingabout your kid. You're still worried. You're still wondering and your brain never really shuts off,but it's important to remember that you're still a person. And I think a lot of moms go through amidlife crisis when their kids leave the house and then they're like, what do I live for? Soit's important to maintain that sense of self so that when your kids do grow up and they havelives outside of you, you didn't, you didn't lose yourself in that. And I think it makes you a better
44mom too. Oh yeah. A girlfriend of mine has kids that are moving into middle school and her therapistsaid to her, he was like, I want you to start finding your hobbies because it's, it's, you gotto find it now. You don't wait until they're out of the house when you're sad and depressed and youdon't know who you are. So he's like really encourages women to build their, start buildingtheir identities before their children are gone that's so good it's an interesting take on it andI totally agree yeah I'm doing that while my kids are four and one so I guess I'm ahead of the gameI know I'm like I'm playing pickleball and mahjong and my kids two and a half like I've gotlate 30s um I want to know about the fruity pebbles of it all going down on a lady is a
33fruity pebble. Can you explain this please? I know. So it's, it's hard because it was a storyDemi told us and she didn't want it out there. So I'm not allowed to say what it is, but there'sbeen a lot of speculation. Like a sex thing. And the fruity pebbles is like a taste thing. Maybesomeday she'll come out with it, but it was definitely like a story. And she told us thisstory last summer before we even started filming. And then Whitney kind of brought it up on camerasuch a bitch joke but we kind of think it was to make it public and so it felt like a digbut it's been funny to see all the fruity pebbles like jokes out there now it's it's so funnyit is the biggest mystery ever it's a mystery it's a mystery because yeah there was like a
17it was a sexual thing that she did with her husband but then Whitney the bitch she is likeyou said she like brought it to camera and gave her a box full of fruity pebbles and then kindof made her have to like acknowledge it but like nobody knows i'm like is it just she sat sat onhis face and he thought he she tasted like fruity pebbles or are we talking about likeusing them within the act like nobody knows like it's the biggest mystery like she put them up hervag and then he ate them out ew gross i said that on the podcast yeast infection because you knowit used to be that thing like if you eat pineapple you're like it'll taste better and stuff yeah usswingers love pineapple i know all about that upside down pineapples right so do you do you
01jesse know who the other swingers are everybody does right yeah they're definitely known on tiktokum my friend group is integrated with them so yes and honestly i wouldn't be surprised if wegot another season and they they made an appearance because i feel like it is such a known thing thatpeople want like a like a wrapped up bow of that story like you want a an example of like who itwas and what happened so I think it could be interesting if we get another season to likereveal that but I don't know if it would and when you say swinging just from my knowledge of likethe TikTok of it all the swinging that they're like participating in is not sex with anotherperson it's like everybody's in the same house and you can like make out with somebody
50they call it soft swinging and but basically you can do everything but so like you can stilloral you just can't fully penetrate and it's all in front of each other like you can't go out ofthe room and be alone you have to be in front of everyone else so kind of like a big orgy is how itook it it was wild and i think it was so crazy because mormons are so closed off and sexualsin is the worst thing you can do. So that's why it was so shocking. And they're sober doing this? No, no, no. They were definitely drinking. Could you imagine? That opened up. It was almost likewhen you're a Mormon, you get married young, you have kids young, you never experiment. So then in their late 20s, they start drinking for the first time and they start
35learning these things. And it was like they were teenagers, just like, let's do it allbecause they never had that. Well, I was listening to some clips of Taylor on Nickvials podcast and they're kind of choose like explaining it he's like so it was basically likeyou're put in the situation nobody has boundaries nobody's talked about it before so you're kind ofjust going willy-nilly you're all drunk and it's like nobody knows if they're crossing a line ornot so that's why i feel like it got so messy exactly they didn't have like set rules goinginto it and then once they got too deep they set rules and then it and then she ended up having anaffair with one of the men outside of the swinging and that's what blew everything up
13okay jack sorry one thing i want to tell you we have time and i need you to go down i need youto reddit jack reddit jack loves reddit what are like some of the biggest misconceptions or likeheadlines from reddit about this show or like you know just like what i'd like i want jack to beable to spill the tea here or ask about i don't know what the misconceptions are i'm not on theshow i feel like but she's on the reddit so ask the reddit on the reddit so like what does redditthink well no i mean reddit is i mean there's just i mean everything um i my question i guessis like because we haven't really talked about whitney that much um i mean we have a little bityou've called her a bitch a few times yeah she is a bitch she's she's like a narcissist she's a
57like a literal narcissist maybe psychopath like she really she scares me um and like after theshow she's kind of like been leaning into this like sort of the villain character right so myquestion for you about that is do you think that she was filming the show thinking she was goingto be the villain and what do you think about it after do you think she's coming back and howbecause you guys have had some public exchanges um that are pretty crazy so like what is yourwhole like thoughts about about that so my theory is that she went into the show thinking taylor wasgoing to be the villain because of taylor's past taylor would have been an easy villain to targetSo she thought Taylor's the villain. I'm going to be the new queen bee. So she came in really hot at Taylor attacking her thinking it was going to work. Didn't realize that us girls kind of flipped and we're like, no, we're on Taylor's side. You're the crazy one. And I think that made her spiral and she wasn't used to not being coddled and loved on. She's so used to people running to her rescue and getting that attention.
57so she spirals and digs herself a deeper hole loses her friend group isolates herself and nowthe show's coming out I think she truly before seeing the show thought she was going to bepainted as the victim like we're all the mean girls and she's the one being bullied and thenthe show comes out she's the villain she flips out because she didn't realize so now she has tolean into this character to kind of like get more attention that way she comes across as like thejoker did you see the one where she's like hanging out of the car I'm like what is happening likevery weird so I've made some comments because we don't really talk to her like I've seen her atsome events and stuff but it's very surface level but now she's making all those comments online
37doing these things so I have commented like I'm afraid of your mindset what is happeningand we've kind of gone back and forth but none of us have really talked to her since the showaired she won't respond to things I have no idea where her head's really at that's so crazy do youthink she'll come back for season two yes because I think she likes the attention good or bad ofcourse yeah even if it's bad I mean every show needs a villain and she's an easy one for me togo after so I kind of hope she does because I don't want to hate anyone else well people likelove to she's so easy to hate people just like love hating on her because she's it's like thethings that she does are insane and says like the showing up to the birthday but like there's just
18so many things that she does that it's just like oh my god so she could definitely lean into likeI got a bad edit but the Whitney you guys see on TV is the Whitney I experienced in real life likethat is truly who she is so I'm sorry to her but like maybe she'll learn from it and come backdifferent if we get another season we always say about reality TV like reality TV it you can't getof edits happen for sure but like it actually just expands who you actually really are wellyou said the things you said so yeah and did the things you did she said things she did things andthey i mean they did her dirty by like showing the toilet paper on her foot coming out so goodthat was my favorite scene me too i didn't know that happened in real life i was dying
06i'm like the producers obviously you can tell what they think about her by showing that theyshowed her like carrying out a birthday cake when she like was being so crazy and then as she's likecarrying it out they like shoot a shot and she has toilet paper on her shoe so it's just likeso embarrassing so embarrassing they just really took her down yeah they didn't need to show thatwell jesse your delight i've never seen anyone touch their hair more in my entire life than youlike and you know what you paid good money for it and it's fabulous so likeshe's like she's like selling the product selling the product selling the product selling theproduct. Um, you guys can follow along and all your products are available on at Jay-Z style salon,
