Hello, you lovely lot. I just wanted to drop in to let you know I've come across something that feels very mad, sad and bad adjacent, ish. You'd be the judge of that. We spend a lot of time here talking about love, the beautiful bits, the brutal bits, and the bits that quietly undo you when no one's looking. And that's why this really caught my attention. Neelyweds with Molly and Tom is a podcast that follows two people in love as they move from a very public romance into something deeply personal.

planning a life together and yeah, a wedding. But this isn't just about dresses and table plans. And now we're getting married. We are officially the new nearlyweds. Move over Sophie and Jamie. Maybe just Jamie. This is super exciting, isn't it? First step. Episode one. We've got some big boots to fill.

I know, huge boots to fill. I'm actually a bit nervous. I hope you guys enjoy it. Nervous but excited. Yeah. But we're going on a journey. We're getting married. I'm getting married.

And yeah, there's just so much to talk about. Everything is laid out. Yeah, we're not going to hold anything back. Everything's just going to be put out on the table. Yeah. From arguments, which we've not actually had that many as of yet. Disagreements. We've had a few of them.

Yeah, we have. Budgets. Yeah. Location. Oh, my God. Everything. It's all going to be put out there. So yeah, should we tell them how we met, how it all began, how you fell madly in love with me? Sound, go on then.

You tell them. So to anyone who doesn't know, me and Moll, we met on Love Island All Stars. We both went on separate serieses. Series. What? Series. Separate series. Separate series.

Yeah. Didn't work out. We went back on All Stars. And here we are now. I know. And it was quite tragic. The first part of my All-Stars journey until you walked in.

Of course. You were in right at the start. Was it night one? Night one I went in. Bit of a crazy entrance. And then I was in there for, I think it was around 10 days before you showed up. And I was actually ready to leave.

I was like, yeah, I was going to go. Yeah, I was going to pat my bags and go. Yeah. I didn't realize how close you actually were to go in. But I think you were, from what he's told me, you were talking about me. He was calling. Go on, tell him.

I was gunning the right words. I mean, I'm like coming. I don't know. What was you texting? The producer. So there's a producer called Coco, lovely woman, but I was in holding. I think I was in holding for like 17 days.

It's a long time. I know. I was loving it. I was on the beach. I was chilling in South Africa. And like you'd get an update every other day. And I'd be ringing or tell you my chaper on, oh, ring her like, when am I going in?

Because I was always going for you. And so when we're on the phone I'd be like, how's my girlfriend? Obviously, we didn't know each of her then. I'd be like, how's my girlfriend? It's starkish that, isn't it? Yeah, a bit weird actually. It's like that you Netflix program.

Hello you. Yeah, that was you. I should have done that one about it. So would you? Hello, you. But yeah, basically when you're a bombshell or when you're going in, you have to give your top three

of who you like. And you was always number one, but you didn't never believe me. No, I didn't. I made him prove it. So basically, long social. After when we came out, I got my chaperone to send me screenshots. And that kind of clarified it.

I saw crazy right now. She was like, no, you didn't. Prove it. No, you didn't. You never liked me. No, I didn't. But you were saying I was top of the list like all the time. So I was like, well, prove it then.

You were. And then what happened when I first walked in, sorry. Completely. Completely blanked me. I don't know why. It said hello to every other person in there, guys and girls. Give all the girls a hug and completely blanked me. I don't know why.

Honestly, I think I must have been a little bit nervous. us maybe. But then at the fire pit, obviously because of that situation, I was thinking, oh, he's not interested then, like, this is just another person that's come in that is not interested. I'm just sat at the end of the fire pit. And I kind of like checked out. No, no, no, I did because I thought, well, it's got history with other people in here. I'm just like, you didn't even say hello to me. So. Yeah, I don't know why I did that. I started just like looking around and you were talking away to everyone and I was just like, looking around and thinking, oh. Your face wasn't like that.

I'll be real your face. I'll tell them what actually happened. That's the truth. Went to the fight of pit with the girls, chatting to everyone. You're right on the end. I'm thinking, why is she on the end?

Like, sit next to me. Everyone's engaging with me. Say, I'm sat there. You're like this. I'm thinking, oh my God, this girl doesn't fancy me. I've told all the producers.

I fancy him. And then... What's the point? Giving my energy to someone who can't even say hello to me. Of course, now I understand. And I wasn't intentionally doing it. I was kind of just a bit like, well...

But you just checked out of the hole. I was, yeah. I was ready to go home. And then you picked me for the date, the main course. I don't know why I can't cook, so I thought I'd give you food. You can cook. You are quite a good cook. I'll give you that.

I don't know what I'm at. Salmon and ravioli. Ravioli. That famous Italian dish. Ravioli. And then I don't know what else I made you. But... And that was it?

Long story short, we ended up... winning Love Island All-Stars. Crazy. And now we're here, first episode of our new podcast. Big thanks to Jamie and Sophie, by the way, because we actually love watching your podcast. But yeah, and now we're engaged and we're about to get married. Get married.

Should we talk a little bit about our engagement and how it all went down? Where do we start? Well, with you. When did you know that you were going to propose? I think not necessarily with proposed, but I think I know. knew I was going to marry you a long time before that. I'll be honest. Yeah, I think it's weird because with being in Love Island,

you're kind of with each other 24-7. So you get that taster of being like... Living with it. Yeah. So I think I kind of knew fairly. When? Early on. When?

Well, I can't give you a date and a time. But I kind of knew that I was going to be with you forever. Yeah. But then it's down to you, isn't it? I initially wanted to do it in South Africa, Cape Town, where we met, where we had our first date on the show. But logistics-wise, I just didn't think it was going to work. Yeah.

But that's why I was wanting to do it initially. And then we was going away on holiday. We went to Maldives and Dubai. No, we were going to go to Maldives and Dubai. That's another story. And I was booking it for your birthday. Yeah. So I was getting it all up, booking it all.

And Tom was adamant that you wanted you to go to Maldives, weren't you? You were like, no, no, I really want to go to the Maldives as well. So I was like, right, well, we were going. with my best friend and her husband. So I was like, the weather is shocking in the Maldives at the minute. And I was showing you the weather app. Even my friend was as well. And you were like, no, no, no, I want to go.

When I get to my head, I like, no one can tell me otherwise. No. So we booked it. Yeah. We sat, me and you, and I had that conversation with you over and over again. But we sat there, we booked the Maldives. Mm-hmm. And literally, I'm talking 30 seconds after it was confirmed, you stood up,

started pacing around the living room going, oh my God, what have we done? The weather, look at the weather, Molly. Look at the weather. And I was like, I did tell you this. And you were like, I don't remember you telling me this. I thought, I can't. I can't with you right now. So I'm looking thinking, why are you getting so stressed about this?

Cancelled. Canceled it all. Completely cancelled it all. I wasn't thinking straight. But then, fast forward. We love Dubai. We've been a few times. It's kind of a bit like a home from home for us.

And I felt like, I know quite a few people there. I feel like I could make it an amazing set-up. I feel confident that I can do it there, but I have no ring. So I had to get a ring, so I was searching. Obviously, I was speaking to Sophie, your best friend, a lot for advice. And you sent me a few TikToks of like engagement and stuff. Every guy out there who's probably not engaged yet, I'm sure your miss is currently sending you. This subtle hint, it's like when your phone's lying around and I'm going ring, ring, ring, engagement ring.

So that when you let's pick it up, your TikTok's, But the time where I actually got it, you was unwell. Yeah. So you told me this after. You was on smoke by the. I was severely poorly. Like I'm talking bedbound sweats. Couldn't even get out of bed.

You had a cold. Take that back. Oh, sorry. Couldn't even get out of bed. That is so rude. I'm glad I give you so much crap now. Couldn't even get out bed. Couldn't go downstairs to get a glass of water.

I was literally like really, really. severely poorly. And Tom decides to turn around to me and go, I'm off to play paddle all day. So I thought, all right, that's fine. I mean, if it was Rolls Reverse, you wouldn't let me leave the house. My mouth was different, but... Wow. So I was like, okay, you'll go and play paddle for a little bit, and then he'll come back and it'll be fine.

No. He left at probably about half eight in the morning and he didn't come home until 7 o'clock at night. No way. 100%. I'm going to check the ring camera. Okay. So anyway, I think it got to about 2 o'clock. I must have started sending text messages.

And these weren't the nice text messages that you received. I thought you're having a good day, babe. Nope. No, I weren't. I was hoping that you were losing that paddle and that you injured yourself. But I was like, I hope you're joking. You better be on your way home. I've not even been able to get out of bed for a glass of water.

Like I've literally just been like dying in bed and I've had not even a text off you to check in on me. I see if I'm okay. I've done that to be fair. So I'm there sending him all these texts like, you bear be on your way home, how long does paddle take, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And little did I know.

Me and Mag, your best friend's husband, help me out a lot, to be fair. Help me out a hell of a lot. We went to the jewelers, sat down. I didn't know there were so much like different grades you can get for a ring and like... Yeah, there's loads of different stuff, isn't there? But I had an image in my head how I wanted it

and what I know you would like, but I did a few little bits to myself. So there we are. We got the ring, all sorted, all boxed off. Open your phone, abusive text messages. Oh, my God. Do you know what else? I opened my phone, I think he'd sent me something like, Where are you?

And I felt like, I said to Mark, I was like, if only she knew, I just felt like saying, I felt like, turn around, send your voice. I'm like, shut up, I'm getting you a ring.
