Mention It All - Leah Remini Comes To Bravo, Vicki’s Debbie Downer Double, & RHOA’s Best Season In Years?

Episode Date: August 28, 2026

Back on the mic for another Friday episode full of Bravo news, Dylan starts the episode with the bombshell that Leah Remini is joining RHOBH for season 16. With past reality TV experience and a major ...public persona, what will she bring to the group? Then, he unpacks a pair of upcoming premieres: Jeff Lewis’ return to Bravo with Still Flipping Out, and the fifth season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. MomTok is still hanging on by a thread, and we’re unfortunately back on the Taylor/Dakota rollercoaster. From there, Dylan dives into RHUGT’s episode at Kyle’s white party, where Vicki continues to be a drag, Luann and Erika squash their beef, and Gizelle and Porsha get to work on figuring out the RHOSLC drama. Later, Dylan wraps up his recap of the RHOA reunion, with some questions for next season, and discusses the Next Gen NYC ski trip. Starting point is 00:00:02 Hey everyone, welcome back to the Mentioned It All podcast and another Friday episode where we have a bunch of different stuff going on. It has been, it's been a fun week. It's a rainy Thursday today as I'm sitting down to record this. So, you know, it feels like I wish I had like a hot tea right now. Like that's what the, I feel like Wendy Williams. I've been getting a lot of Wendy Williams videos on TikTok, which is pretty much all the time for me. But like when she would sit down for hot topics and she would have that mom, and she's the purple, it's like the purple armchair that's like fake, like, crocodile print.
Starting point is 00:00:40 And she's like dipping the, she has like the tea bag that she's like teabagging. And sometimes she would like unwrap a little lozenge and like drop it in the teacup. That was iconic. Future Friday episodes. Maybe that's what I'll be doing with my beverage. For now I just have water. But no, we have a lot to get into today. Earlier this week, we had the lovely Emily Simpson on the three.
Starting point is 00:01:04 show. We have a lot of mixed feelings about OC season 20 right now, but I have been enjoying talking to some of the ladies. And I think even if you're not, let's say, totally captivated by what's happening Thursday nights on Bravo right now, it still is like nice to hear them talk about their journeys and things like that. So I really enjoyed my conversation with Emily, and I hope you did as well. You can go watch or listen to that wherever you get mentioned at all. but I'm going to skip talking about OC today because it's like it is like twice in one week right now. Like we already have to watch Vicky twice a week. Like I don't need to talk about Vicky twice a week if you catch my drift.
Starting point is 00:01:45 But we will talk about Ultimate Girls Trip because this week's episode I thought was really fun and really interesting. But next week on the podcast we have my good friend Gibson Johns. He has the Gabbing with Gibb podcast. He is back on the show to talk about kind of everything that's going on in the Housewives. world right now. We talked about girls trip. We talked about OC Atlanta. What's going on with some of our other
Starting point is 00:02:10 favorite shows, including Beverly Hills. And that is why I want to preface because we recorded this yesterday on Wednesday and then literally like within three hours of when we were in the studio together. We got the news that not only is Tracy Tudor joining
Starting point is 00:02:26 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 16, but we are getting an even bum shellier casting because Leah Remedy is going to be holding a diamond when Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns for season 16. And this was out of nowhere. Just dropped in from the heavens from whatever the Scientology version of the heavens is, the Zeno planet, I don't know. Leah Remney is joining the fold. She is going toe to toe or maybe getting along with the Beverly Hills ladies.
Starting point is 00:03:10 And I was pretty gagged by this announcement. And so just to caveat, when the episode with Gibson comes out next week, we talk about Beverly Hills, we talk about Tracy Tudor. We don't talk about Leah Remini because we are not psychic, apparently. But still a great conversation. I'm excited for you all to hear that one, but Leah Rebony. Now, this was reported by Variety, Kate Arthur, who is great and she does great work at Variety, and clearly Bravo, you know, likes working with her and, you know, going through her for some of these big exclusives.
Starting point is 00:03:48 She was the first to report, and then it was, you know, confirmed on the, you know, Bravo social channels that Leah Remedy will be joining. the show. And she also, variety, you know, has the full rundown of who is going to be on season 16 of Beverly Hills. Now, there aren't really any surprises here. You know, we know Tracy and now Leah are joining. We have Erica, Derreet, Sutton, Bose, Rachel, and Kyle all coming back as housewives. And then Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly will be returning as friends. So it's a big cast. once again, eight housewives, two friends. We're really stuffing these casts to the gills these days. There was a pretty long period of time when the only season that had ever had eight full-time housewives was one of the seasons of, I think it was the season of Roney that Bethany came back and Dorinda was there and Carol and Kristen Takeman.
Starting point is 00:04:51 That had been for several years the only time where eight full-time housewives were on a cast. And we are, we're getting to a point where that is sort of a norm. You know, I'm pretty sure Atlanta this season had eight housewives. I think on Potomac last season there were eight housewives. Beverly Hills, we're going to have eight housewives again. It is, I don't know that it is really a big deal. that the castes have sort of started getting
Starting point is 00:05:25 a little bit larger, but it does make it kind of wild to go back and watch some of the older seasons of New Jersey, New York, Atlanta. These bitches were making 24 episodes a year
Starting point is 00:05:41 with five people. These women were fighting like cats in an alley with almost enough people that you could play, you know, a game of Uno with. And they were, you know, churning out storyline. It is, it's a little, it's one of those things where you don't think about it that much as, you know, when you've been watching for, you know, a consecutive amount of years, you don't think about it that much.
Starting point is 00:06:14 But then when you go back and watch the early seasons, it's like, oh, these, these women were working. you didn't have a whole season where somebody kind of didn't have much going on, but they could sort of, you know, chip in at the, you know, group scenes and maybe have like one or two, you know, events and whatever. It was, no, everybody was, you know, fighting tooth and nail every single day. I mean, there was one of the Jersey reunions where only four of them showed up. And it was epic. Like, oh my God. it's like the um it's like when the the thing where the frog is in the pot of water and as they bring it to a boil like you don't realize that the water is getting hotter until it's like too late it's like oh i didn't realize how much the temperature had changed of how we're making these shows but when you look back it's like this is different but anyway back to what's going on with beverly hills in this big old cast we are going to have a big old question mark because lear remini is somebody who is
Starting point is 00:07:17 quite famous. She is, I mean, very recognizable, both from her work as an actress. She was on King of Queens for seven seasons or something. Like, that was a major sitcom hit of the 2000s. She's been in, you know, numerous other shows, both as guest roles, as, you know, voice acting, other, you know, other like full main cast roles on network TV shows. I mean, never forget when they, a few years ago, they, Kevin James had another sitcom called Kevin Can Wait. And the first season, it was like him.
Starting point is 00:08:00 And the woman who played his wife was just like some other random actress. And they were like, this isn't quite working. So it was this big news that it was like, wow, they're bringing in Leah Remini to be the main, the female lead for the second season. and they killed off his wife and made Leah Remini like his partner at work. And it was just like, eh, it's about them now.
Starting point is 00:08:22 And he's like grieving. He's a widow, a widower. That only lasted one season, but just like, oh my God, Kevin can wait. But Leah Remedy since then, I mean, in the last 10 years has really become even more of a public figure because of her work since leaving the Church of Scientology in like the mid-20. pens. Now, she left the church and then she had for two seasons on TLC a reality show that was like just about her. It was, it was called like Leah Remini, something, something. So that was like a show about her and her family. She was married at the time and her kids and, you know, going just through life stuff. And that was interesting. I've heard it's a pretty interesting reality show. I have not
Starting point is 00:09:09 watched it, but I bet that some clips and stuff will start circulating now that she's joining housewives. But then after that, she really like remade her name by doing these, you know, really intense docu-series about leaving Scientology and about, you know, things that she's exposed about the Church of Scientology and other people that have left the church. And really that has been sort of the like mission of her, you know, public persona over the last several years. And so now she comes to Housewives. And she's been on the talk and, you know, she was like a guest judge on, so you think you can dance last year. She has been on like a million TV shows in like every category. She's a game show host. She's a talk show host.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Like, you name it. She's done it. But Housewives is a different animal. It's a different setting. It's a different ask. And I always think it's interesting when somebody who has such a prominent public persona, chooses to enter the, you know, thunderdome that is Real Housewives. I mean, we just have seen it in the last few months with Kay Michelle joining Real Housewives of Atlanta,
Starting point is 00:10:23 that she is somebody who, I mean, she's done women's ensemble reality TV set in Atlanta before. And still, Housewives is a whole different thing for her to sort of figure out how she fits into. She's, you know, we've seen people like Denise Richards, Lisa Rina, Garza. Like, it's a, it's a common thing that we have seen over the years, but everybody handles it a little bit differently. And for some people, it works out really well. For some people, you know, you're Eileen Davidson and after two seasons, you're like, enough of this. Take me back to the soap operas where I have to learn 50 pages of dialogue a day, but nobody is trying to expose my personal life. So, Leah Remedy is a really intriguing casting.
Starting point is 00:11:07 She also, she was married for over 20 years and then just got divorced. a couple of years ago. So she adds to the recent trend of real house songs at Beverly Hills pretty much being a cast full of divorced or, you know, in Kyle's case, separated ladies. Because, you know, we have Kyle, Sutton, Derreet, Rachel, Erica, Tracy Tudor has been divorced for several years. And now Leah Remini, like there's a lot of single middle-aged ladies on this cast. and it'll be interesting to see where she kind of fits herself into the puzzle,
Starting point is 00:11:47 because I could see her having friction with, you know, various different people on the cast, but I could also see her taking a route that's more like, yeah, I'm Leah Remedy. You know me, you love me. I'm going to be here, you know, having a good time and having a laugh, and isn't it fun that we get to go to these parties and get all dressed up? And I'm Leah Remini. And that might be fun to see for like half a season, but ultimately that's not really the assignment per se. So I'm excited to see her.
Starting point is 00:12:22 You never know what's going to happen when somebody like this joins housewives. And the other tidbit, though, from the variety reporting by Kate Arthur was that she's saying that Amanda Francis was not asked back to the show. Now, if you rewind the tape a few weeks ago when we discussed Amanda Francis's departure announcement, she really laid it on thick in a way that really suggested that this was her choice. You know, she literally ended that post by saying, like, I win. And so the idea that that was the way she chose to frame her departure when in reality, it sounds like her contract was likely not all. offered, renewed.
Starting point is 00:13:09 It's just funny. I mean, everybody kind of does it, and sometimes people get away with it. Sometimes people don't. But Amanda, I wish her the best. You know, she is going to be so rich and so boss, powerful, amazing. I am really excited for Beverly Hills this season, though, because a big chunk of the cast was just in Ghana for Bose's wedding last weekend. and I, oh God, I am just so curious how that went.
Starting point is 00:13:42 We were seeing, like, photos and some videos and stuff of them, like, at the, at the wedding and they're wearing, you know, like traditional clothing and stuff. And, you know, it was fun to see, but I'm just like, oh, that is going to be a, Kathy Hilton in Ghana, you never know. You never know what's going to happen. Let's talk about a couple new shows or shows that are coming back or people that are coming back in September because we've gotten a couple announcements that I think are relevant this week. The first is that Jeff Lewis, his show that has been, you know, announced, rumored, teased again. It is finally coming.
Starting point is 00:14:23 They finished it. It's done. Jeff Lewis still flipping out coming to Bravo, September 28th. The trailer for this is kind of whatever. I mean, full disclosure, I am not a Jeff Lewis person. I'm not a chump. I'm not a listener. I wasn't a watcher of flipping out the original. So I just don't, this isn't something that feels really up my alley personally, but I'm aware that people love Jeff Lewis. I'm aware that there is a big contingent that is excited for him to be back. It seems like this show is going to be lighter on the. the house flipping aspects of it, and more on the radio show, you know, cadre of people that he has built around him that work for him, but also are maybe the only people in his life. I don't, I mean, the Jeff Lewis posse is not my area of expertise.
Starting point is 00:15:25 But it is interesting. We see in the preview, they flash to a bunch of different people like on his radio. show because he has a lot of like guest co-hosts and things. And so it's like, oh, it's Mercedes Javid. Oh, it's, uh, you know, whoever other person. But then they show Crystal. And then Crystal is also featured a little more in the trailer. Like it seems like she has some kind of, you know, drama with somebody else. Like she's, she's like on the show a little bit more than just like a quick flash of like, hey, it's Crystal. And this is so interesting because, you know, just last week we were talking about, Ultimate Girl's Trip and how Crystal, you know, got the seemingly one golden ticket to tag along to Sutton's
Starting point is 00:16:08 Leather Pants Party. Crystal is again on this week's episode of Girls Trip at Kyle's White Party. She's not, she doesn't have a ton to do, but it's just, it's, it's interesting. It's, it's, um, it's feeling very con minkoff in here. And suddenly, you know, obviously we just got this whole big cast announcement for Beverly Hills this season and she's not a part of it. And so I do. And so I do. don't think that there is a big, you know, bombshell coming of her, like, snatching back a diamond or anything. But I do just feel like it could, it could make sense to sort of pass her some invites to some early filming events and see if anything comes of it. Because I do, I feel like she's in a very different place than the last time we saw her just in terms of, like, her whole vibe.
Starting point is 00:16:51 The other show that's coming, yeah, still flipping out. I don't know. We'll see. Maybe, maybe I'll check it out but also like do you guys really do you guys really want that like do you need me to watch that every week just saying um the other the other show coming back that is giving me a headache just to think about is secret lives of Mormon wives they will be back for season five on September 10th just um basically exactly two years after their first season premiered and we are already on season five. Nobody works harder than mom talk and also nobody like burns through
Starting point is 00:17:28 relationships like mom talk because of course in the season we are going to see a lot of the fallout conversation behind the scenes, TBD, of Taylor's season of the Bachelorette not airing. If you recall, the last season of Mormon wives that we
Starting point is 00:17:48 watched was all about Taylor getting ready to go be the Bachelorette, sending her off to the airport the day, the morning after she had woken up in bed with Dakota, like totally hungover, still, you know, with his DNA all over her. And that obviously didn't end up going well. But, you know, they're back at it in this trailer for season five because we see Taylor on FaceTime with Dakota. And she's like, why'd you get my initials tattooed on your lip? It's giving obsessed.
Starting point is 00:18:19 And he's like, I am obsessed with you. And like, first of all, I feel like Vicky, the gag reflex is active. But then we see he has the inner lip tattoo of Taylor's initials. I haven't thought about inner lip tattoos in 12 years, 13, 11, give or take, a decade plus. That was such a moment because I. don't know if this was real or just like maybe a conspiracy theory that had taken hold on Tumblr or somewhere, but people are like, oh, it's temporary. If you get the tattoo on the inside of your lip, it fades away in like six months.
Starting point is 00:19:05 So if you have like a, you know, a mom who is a total bitch and would freak out if you got a tattoo, you could tattoo like, you know, fuck or like, you know, you. you know, nasty with a dollar sign for the S. You could tattoo that on the inside of your lip. So in like a, in like a photo or on, you know, you know, what was that? Photo booth, you know, you're taking pictures. You're on like FaceTime. Did it was FaceTime?
Starting point is 00:19:40 You could have this like really sick tattoo on the inside of your lip and nobody could see it unless you showed them. And also it would just go away. Now, I have heard anecdotal evidence that the tattoos for some people did not just go away, certainly not in six months and maybe not ever. I don't know. I'm not like a tattooologist. But the idea of Dakota in the year 2026 going and getting Taylor's initials tattooed on the inside of his lip is so on brand.
Starting point is 00:20:17 in a way that I want to be like, there's a part of me that is like, oh, yes, messiness, it's back. This is, I can't wait to see the next twist and turn of this like saga. But then you remember that there are like domestic violence videos of a, you know, kitchen stool being thrown in the vicinity of a child. And it's like, oh, yeah, I actually, I don't know that I want to see. the next twist and turn of this saga because the next twist and turn of this saga, it might be funny for a second and then all of a sudden somebody's getting arrested again. And so, ah, it just is like, wow, five seasons in and we are not able to move past this
Starting point is 00:21:04 merry-go-round that we have been on since day one with Taylor and Dakota. There is other stuff. Oh, my God, in the trailer, Jesse, sweet Jesse. Jesse calls Taylor and Dakota the Romeo and Juliet of the TikTok age. William Shakespeare, wherever the fuck he's buried, is doing laps right now, rolling, spinning, just whirling around in the grave. Taylor and Dakota, the Romeo and Juliet of the TikTok age. Now, a couple ways to think about that. You could say Romeo and Juliet, epic romance.
Starting point is 00:21:49 It's a love story for the ages. I don't love that comparison of Taylor and Dakota because they are horrible to each other and for each other. But also, need I remind, Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. They die at the end. Taylor and Dakota, I mean, that I could know. It feels more, they feel more aligned with the tragic element than the romance element, but also at the same time, I don't want to wish, you know, for a Romeo and Juliet scenario for anybody. What are we doing?
Starting point is 00:22:29 I don't know. Is that the only, is that the only, like, classic story she knows? I don't know. Jesse, maybe pick another play. Read another book. That really threw me. But Whitney is still on this season. She announced that she's leaving the show,
Starting point is 00:22:47 but that was like, you know, mid-filming for season five. So she's still going to be there. She and Jen Affleck are still fighting, tale as old as time. And then at the end of the trailer, there's a lot of like quick cuts. You can't really tell who's arguing with whom. But Jesse says to the camera,
Starting point is 00:23:05 it feels like there are no friendships left in mom talk. And I think that's just kind of the, it's like she said the quiet part out loud a little bit, where it is just a little bit like, I have really enjoyed this show over the course of the four seasons so far. But as we talked about a lot with seasons three and four, especially, this is basically fully a show about being on a show. and the business elements of it are so front and center in a way that we almost never see or talk about or really acknowledge on Bravo shows. And so there is this vibe to me that it's like we are running this thing ragged until we can't anymore. and like if you're saying out loud it's like there are no friendships in the group then like why are we here what's what is what is there in the group business arrangements it's not that's
Starting point is 00:24:12 interesting um so i do think this season will be an interesting an interesting sort of like testing ground of like how how far can we push this how much is there left in the tank once the Bachelorette stuff is sort of in the rear view, is there anything else I really need to know about from these people? Or is it just kind of like rinse and repeat the same stuff we've been seeing for the last four seasons? And we will see. We shall find out, you know, Miranda's doing her country music career now. So that's super exciting.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Can't wait to hear more. Let's talk about Girls' Tram. This is episode three. we are still in Beverly Hills and it is the day is here. It is Kyle's White Party. And she thought she would never do another one because the last one she did, it used to be for, you know, Maricio's birthday and one of the kids, I guess, has a similar birthday. But the last one she did was at SoFi Stadium.
Starting point is 00:25:25 And Erica Jane performed. And I love that we're saying like, like, SoFi Stadium is objectively like a crazy place to have your party. They were like on the 50 yard line of the field. That was a crazy event. But it's funny for her to be like, Erica Jane performed as if she got like Dolly Parton resurrected to perform. By the way, very sad this week. It's like Erica Jane doing three songs for your white party. It's like, yeah, like you did have the Erica Jane connection actually.
Starting point is 00:26:00 It's not like you got. you know, the Michael Jackson hologram to do a set. Like, yeah, you know where to find Erica Jane. She's available. All you have to do is pay the right fee. Or maybe Bravo just says, Erica, get on up there. But no, she's throwing the White Party. And, you know, she, she, she, Kevin Lee has planned the event.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Now, this is interesting because back in the day, Kevin Lee was always LVPs events guy on Beverly Hills. and Kyle had her party planner Glenn for years and I just want to know where's Glenn? What's going on with Glenn? Is Glenn, I hope Glenn is well. I don't know. I don't know. It's interesting. I would love to know Lisa Vanderpump's thoughts on this white party. But this is more of what I was hoping for from this season of Girls trip where it really is, a cavalcade of Beverly Hills Housewives past and even some Salt Lake City Housewives. So we get just a lot of appearances. We get Erica, Sutton, Teddy Mellencamp, Eileen, Camille Grammer, Adrian Maloof, Crystal, Denise Richards. Her facelift has settled and she looks just gorgeous, beautiful, effervescent, amazing. Faye Resnick is there. We do hear from Kyle that Doreet declined the invite.
Starting point is 00:27:37 And she's like, I appreciated Kyle being like, yeah, Doreet should be here. This is a celebration. Like, it's not like my event for my close friends. It's like this is like a victory lap. And so it sucks that Doreet's not there. And then there are some other Beverly Hills people that I'm just like, could we not? was there a there's no LVP
Starting point is 00:28:03 that's not surprising I mean it is what it is there's no Lisa Rina that would have been fun Kim Richards isn't there I don't know you know it seems best for Kim to be away from all of this
Starting point is 00:28:18 at this point in her life there's been some like headlines and stuff about Kim recently that are just a little bit bleak that I don't even really want to get into but um Taylor Armstrong Was she busy? I mean, she's been
Starting point is 00:28:32 on an Ultimate Girl's trip. She was on OC Housewives two years ago. Somebody still has her phone number. Where is Taylor Armstrong? Missing an OG is just like unfortunate. But, you know, there are some others. No Brandy Glanville.
Starting point is 00:28:50 No Yolanda. We could have, you know, Garcel, that makes sense. But it would have been fun, you know, with this ultimate girl's trip, I'm just like the more the merrier. And it's fun to see how everybody's doing. You know, Camille gives the whole ting, ting, ting speech, which it's like, okay, girl, whatever.
Starting point is 00:29:11 But Meredith, Whitney, and Bronwyn are there from Salt Lake. So it's fun, it's fun to get to see them. And that's where we get into some trouble, you could say, because Portia and Giselle, the the housewives, masters, mistresses that they are. They are, they're interested to get to the bottom of what's going on with the Salt Lake City cast. And I'll just say, aren't we all, I think we'd all like to know. And I am so excited for that show to come back.
Starting point is 00:29:44 I can't wait to watch that first episode. But Portia and Chazelle are like, let me suss out the drama. Let me see what's going on here. Let me get to work. So, Giselle's talking to Whitney and Bronwyn while Lisa is like on the total other side of the party. And she's like, so I've noticed that with you Salt Lake girls, it's a little bit, not really together. Not really, whatever. And Whitney and Brun are like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Well, with Lisa, you got to keep your guard up. You got to be real careful. And it's like, okay, first of all, I don't think Lisa Barlow is going to like do something to Giselle. I don't think Lisa Barlow. Lisa Barlow in a year is barely going to remember Giselle's name. She's not really worried about it. It seems like Lisa is almost using the girls' trip as an outlet to get to have fun, that she feels like she doesn't get to have with her own cast.
Starting point is 00:30:43 But Giselle and Portia kind of have like a debrief at the end of the night after talking separately to the Salt Lake ladies. And she's like, oh, well, Lys, Porsche's like, Lisa told me that the girls in Salt Lake were saying that she cheated on her husband and had sex with someone for some tickets? And what's going on in Salt Lake? How can't just, just buy the tickets? I just love, the thing about sucking dick for jazz tickets was like four years ago. That was when Jen Shaw was still on the show. They were talking about sucking dick for jazz tickets when they, when we were on the like,
Starting point is 00:31:25 oh let's go on this little girl's trip to make Jen forget about her hearing that's coming up. I didn't realize that we were still going to be discussing those matters. But I just loved the way that they're like cackling about what the fuck are they talking about in Salt Lake about having sex for tickets. Girl, get on ticket master and put in your credit card. And then Giselle, so Heather Gay is I guess going to be at the Atlanta stop of girls' trip. And Jezele's like, when we get to Atlanta, I'm going to ask my girl, Heather Gay, what's going on? And Portia's like, yeah, because Heather, if anything, she's honest. She's an honest person.
Starting point is 00:32:08 So she'll tell us what's really up. I have no personal beef with Heather Gay. I kind of don't understand why some people dislike her so much. But it is just funny for Giselle and Portia, who have been on a girl's trip. to Thailand with Heather, but other than that, like, I don't know how much they really know her. They're like, you know, you know, George Washington style cannot tell a lie. Heather Gaye. Sure. Was it Abraham Lincoln with the cherry tree? I don't know. Which president chopped down the cherry tree and then said, I cannot tell a lie. Was that Lincoln? Was it Washington?
Starting point is 00:32:50 George Washington. Thank you. Heather, can't. cannot tell a lie, according to Portia. So we will see what comes of that in Atlanta. But it was just, it was fun to see everybody just milling around in Kyle's backyard. Erica and Luan had a whole beef that they needed to squash because I guess Erica talked shit about Luan at BravoCon. And then Erica, of course, is going to be rude. Rude to Luan. And Kyle is kind of absent-minded about it.
Starting point is 00:33:20 And she brings Luan over to say hi. and it's just like, hi, hi, okay, okay, I'm just going to tiptoe away, but they ultimately talk, and Erica's like, you know, when I said that about you, I was going through the stuff with Tom, and nobody knew, so I was whatever, and Eric was like, oh, I didn't, I didn't know, oh, okay, oh, who care? I mean, at the end of the day, it's like, it's like kind of fun to see them both being like a little bitchy, but Luann's performance so she ziplines into
Starting point is 00:34:00 Kyle's backyard on she's wearing like a white costume with angel wings and she is performing chic celiby a little off the beat she's struggling a little bit
Starting point is 00:34:16 to find the the tempo it's like gems jets silhouette so mirror on the wall. Who's the fairest of the land? I guess it's not his call. Sheik, it's la vie. It's bon. It's bon. And it's like, at some point, you should catch up with the track. Like, okay, you just got off the zip line. The guys in the bush costumes have to unhook you. Maybe you're grabbing the microphone. Maybe you start a little bit late, but it's like, Luann has been doing this for long enough. she has squeezed, you know, $75 for a cabaret ticket out of enough middle-aged women across America. You got to find the beat.
Starting point is 00:35:04 You got to get on the tempo. Like, we... Gems, jets, silhouettes, oh, mirror on the wall. Like, let's set the standard in terms of the performance quality. Now, was it a fun moment? Of course. Did I, was it, was it funny? Yes. The, the bushes were a nice touch. And I liked that some people picked up on that. And it also gave us a great moment in terms of the edit. And they have been doing a really good job with this Ultimate Girls Trip season of giving us some fun throwback moments. And they, they use this as an opportunity to show a, of housewives throughout history trying to sing. And I say trying because they're not showing us Candice. They're not showing us, you know, even Drusadora or, you know, obviously not K-Michel.
Starting point is 00:36:09 They're showing us Danielle Stobb playing her, you know, sapphic duet on Watch What Happens live with that lady that she was having a fling with. They're showing us, um, Portia trying to sing. They're showing us Kim Zelsiak. They're showing us Ashley Darby. Coffee and love is best one hot. This is just, it's gold. I mean, this is, this is the kind of thing that makes housewives so great because it's not just the fighting. It's not just the divorces. It's also that upwards of a dozen of these women have tried to have a music career and the musical talent has not matched. It's just so, it's a fun moment. I'm glad they did it.
Starting point is 00:36:55 And also, Luann's other big contribution to the episode is that she has a much needed talk with Vicky. Because, you know, Vicky's upset about, Vicki's upset about Luan saying that Slade called Vicki Pig when in fact it was Miss Piggy. And Vicky's like, that's piggy, not porky pig, not different pig, different pig. And Luan is like, oh, oh, I screwed up my pigs. I called her the wrong fictional pig. What do you want for me?
Starting point is 00:37:32 Even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes. It's such a great moment because Luann plays it off perfectly because it is absolutely ridiculous that Vicky is like a day or two later still like, you said Perky Pig. It was not Perky Piggy. It's like, well, you didn't like Miss Piggy either. So maybe we just are on the same page here. But Vicky's saying to Luann, because Luann says, you know, it feels like you aren't really that present with the group. You know, you're working all the time.
Starting point is 00:38:09 You're irritable. It just, it kind of feels like Vicky doesn't want to be here. And Vicky's like, well, I have a lot on my plate. And you all don't know what I'm dealing with. And it's like, everybody here is dealing with something. Everybody is, you know, everybody's navigating their own shit. And it's just like, what is Vicky going through? Because we're watching on season 20 of O.C.
Starting point is 00:38:36 And aside from her, you know, brief kerfuffle with the Mexican immigration system, it kind of seems like Vicki doesn't have that much going on in her life. She's very devoted to her work, as we know. She tells Luann that she was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and Luan, again, delivering straight fire. It's just like, of what? Financial services. The Hall of Fame of Financial Services.
Starting point is 00:39:06 But other than that, it's like what you are in a, you proclaim to be in a happy relationship, with this guy that you're not married to, so like, whatever, that seems, seems fine. You're working a lot. Other than that, like, what are you going through? You're being paid to participate in two different reality shows that we're watching every week right now about your life, and I'm not seeing much. Other than you being frustrated, irritable, a Debbie Downer, to use a controversial phrase, they get back to the hotel after Kyle's White Party at the end of the episode. And Luanne and Vicky have, you know, talked this out.
Starting point is 00:39:46 And Luann's like, oh, do you want to come to my room and have a drink? Like, you know, just like keep the positive vibe going. And Vicki's like, no, everybody should go to bed. It's one thing if you don't want to go have the nightcap, but why are you telling other people not to? Like, yeah, go to bed. They'll have more fun with you, not there. By the way, who else is in the Financial Services Hall of Fame? Is it like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:40:13 I bet they had like a giant plaque for Bernie Madoff and then they had to like take it down. I bet they, I bet Jen Shaw was like on a short list one year and then the feds came in and they were like, never mind, we're rescinding the nomination. The Financial Services Hall of Fame. It's like J.P. Morgan, you know, some other rich guy. and Vicki Gondelson. I wonder if that's one of those things where you kind of like pay for it and then they just like send you a certificate. Like that's how the Hollywood Walk of Fame works. Because people all the time are like, oh, this person is so iconic.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Why don't they have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? That's so rude. And it's like, no, babe. The way that you get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is that you cut a check to I think it's like the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce or something for like $50,000. So you'll notice, usually the people that are getting inducted have like some big movie coming out or some project that they're working on. It's like, oh, Disney is going to pay for Miley Cyrus to get her star on the Walk of Fame for this Hannah Montana 20th anniversary thing because it's good PR. It's PR. I would guess that the Financial Services Hall of Fame is something akin to that.
Starting point is 00:41:25 But I have not done that research. But it just is like, Vicky is really flopping so. hard on both of the shows she's on right now, but especially this one, where it should just be this celebratory vibe and it feels like she cannot get out of her own way. And it's, it's like, it's too bad, but also as somebody who has not really been a big Vicky fan, I'm kind of like, yeah, this is, this is exactly what I thought was going to happen. Maybe it's, maybe this is, maybe this is like on the, the worst end of the scale of what I thought would happen. Like, I think there's a version of this where Vicky was just like a little annoying.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Like, the clipboards with the insurance stuff. Like, that was funny. It was like a little dumb, but like funny. But when she's just like shooting down opportunities to participate and get to know people and have a good time, it's like you're the one causing an issue here. Everybody else on this cast. I mean, really, everybody else on this cast is understanding the assignment.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Even, you know, Kyle's had a down day with her anniversary, which, by the way, oh my God, when we get the like flash to when Maricio was arriving at the white party in a beige, light brown blazer, by the way, man, you are going to your estranged sort of wife's house for her big event that she's been doing for 20 years that originated as your birthday party, suit the fuck up. I know Maricio has a white blazer somewhere. You wore them for 20 years. Why are you wearing brown?
Starting point is 00:43:19 You're the only one. It's so, it's so, it's classic, classic men. Just wear a fucking white blazer. But anyway, he's showing up to the party.
Starting point is 00:43:34 And Lisa says, happy anniversary to Maricio. Lisa's like, oh yeah, happy anniversary. And he's like, oh, yeah, yeah. Like, he didn't remember. He's not thinking about that. I'll tell you what, he's not crying about it in the morning and having to be comforted by somebody. And then Vicki goes, oh, yeah, we cried together about it. Oh, if I was Kyle watching this episode, I would lose my mind.
Starting point is 00:44:04 watching that because it's like, no, like, be like, be cool, a little bit. Oh my God. They're making Kyle look like a loser. And she can do that all by herself. I'm really excited to see what happens when we get to Atlanta because I just don't know what to expect. We're going to see Nini. We're going to see Lisa Wu. We're going to see Heather Gay, Truth Teller. I'm having a lot of fun, though, with girls trip. And I do hope that they, Nikki can kind of pull her head out of her ass and like have fun a little bit. Her old thing, she was the whoop it up girl. Where, where did that go?
Starting point is 00:44:45 The only time she wants to whoop it up is when it's like mandatory fun that she has decided everybody's going to have, which is not fun. It's alarming. The Real House Days of Atlanta reunion wrapped up this week. They had, I think, a really great season. I've enjoyed watching it. I've enjoyed talking about it. I got into it with Gibson on next week's episode a little bit, too.
Starting point is 00:45:16 Just like a really good three-part reunion. I thought they had a lot to get to. We have, you know, sort of the big things that we know we're going to have to deal with, the Portia and Shamiya, you know, the Kelly being, you know, backed into a corner and yelling at everyone. but also like some fun some fun little things cropping up and and just like good dynamics overall like in this third part i we got a whole uh you know what's going on between shamia and cynthia which i didn't even really know was something we needed to talk about we get updates on uh you know
Starting point is 00:45:59 kelly and fadra where andy's like uh kelly if you said that frick and frack are whack Why did you use Fadra's legal services? And Fadra's like, well, well. And Kelly's like, well, you know, Fadra offered, and I did pay her. And I paid her team $10,000 actually for those legal services. And Fadr's like, well, I mean, we did like $60,000 worth of billable hours for you. So you got a nice discount. And Andy's like, okay, so Kelly, you got a discount.
Starting point is 00:46:37 And Kelly's like, I didn't say I got a discount. And it's like, yeah, like, Fadra said you got a discount. The one who did the work for you. And I love. Fadre really, I think, had a great reunion. And I hope that it's a sign of things to come for her next season of being a little bit more in the mix with the drama. Because when Kelly's like, well, I had my own attorneys also, so there wasn't that much work to be done. and Fadr just goes, there was plenty work to be done.
Starting point is 00:47:07 And I believe Fadra. Believe Fadra. Truth tell her Fadra. She cannot tell a lie. Kay Michelle and Portia mostly make up at the reunion. And this is nice to see because it's not that they didn't go back and forth at all. It's not that they have no kind of friction with each other whatsoever. But it does feel like there is a sense of, okay, we figured out.
Starting point is 00:47:33 the big stuff. We forgot about a lot of the little stuff. And at the end of the day, it's kind of that like game recognized game sort of thing where I feel like going into next season, assuming that they'll both be back. I love Fadra, or Portia in a interview at the girls' trip premiere. They were asking her about the casting. She was like, I don't know about all of them, but I'll be back. And it's like, damn right. But I feel like they're poised to go into next season as a great kind of like power frenemy duo at the top of the show. I think that could be a lot of fun. Oh, the biggest surprise of the reunion,
Starting point is 00:48:12 Ah, Shamiya's partnership with Rambam didn't work out. Aw, I thought it was going to go so good. It seems so legit. She had the women sit for their ass molds for the party for it. I thought it was a done deal, despite that there were no contracts and the owner of the company didn't want to work with her. I thought it was going to work out. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Rum bum's not happening anymore. Kelly's, you know, Waffle Hut closed, the third location. I do just, I mean, Drew will never let you catch her slipping because Andy's like, yes, so tell me about, tell me about the video that you made where you showed up to her closed rest of her. and posted a video with the lockbox on the door. And Drew's like, well, you know, I just wanted to go support. And, you know, I showed up. And I was really surprised.
Starting point is 00:49:16 And Kelly's like, bitch, you don't even live in the area. Bull shit. I mean, Drew is like the way that she can just kind of like lie through her teeth with a smile on her face. And I don't even care. Is she as honest as, say, Heather Gay. certainly not, but I really don't mind. But she does, she's like, Kelly and I have never had an issue. You're just, she's just like a chihuahua that barks at me. And she calls out Kelly for being performative.
Starting point is 00:49:43 And I do think that that's like a great word for Kelly's kind of whole deal, especially this season, knowing that there's all this, you know, financial housing, money, whatever issues going on in the background, is that it does feel like Kelly is just really. really invested in this performance of what she thinks people want to see, what she thinks in her head is like her, it's kind of a delusions of grandeur kind of thing. I mean, Andy asks about the plain white t-shirt that she wore in her confessional. And she's like, well, you know, Zendaya just wore the same t-shirt. And Angela just goes, well, which hers was steamed. It's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:34 I mean, Angela and Kelly really get into it at this reunion. Because Kelly calls Angela a golden retriever, you know, retrieving Porsche's bones and Drew and everything. And Angela just like class attack and she's like, well, you have new teeth and nowhere to sleep, broke bitch. And Kelly, we always have to go back to Angela's big feet. Of course, that's the number one dig, which I think to me, if that's, all you've got, that it kind of shows that you don't have much. But she, uh, she says that Angela's heels are two inches. And Angela says that Kelly's money is two inches. Um, and I love when Angela drops into, you better get on the winning team. She goes, she goes up to the cadence of where
Starting point is 00:51:22 Kelly kind of normally sits and she's like, oh, your money's two inches. Oh, that was a 2020 range rover, bitch. What are you talking about? And it is just, It was, it's like so, when you get into that, like, register where you're just kind of like, everything is like bouncing off of her like a, like a ping pong ball. Like it's like, oh yeah, come at me. Come at me. What are you? Pinky, you want some.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Kelly, you want some Shabia. What's going on? I'll just throw it right back. And Angela has been doing this all season. She's so good at it. I mean, Kelly, Kelly's saying that last season, Angela was driving a 2012 purple range rover. And Angela just saying, that was the 2020. money. Like, okay, I don't even own a car. I live in New York. I don't need one. But also, like,
Starting point is 00:52:08 who cares what year your purple range over is from? I just, I really enjoyed it. We get a lot of Shamiya versus Angela and Drew where, you know, going back to the, the allegations this season about Shemia having affairs, there's the, It's, it sounds like Shamiya sent Angela a cease and desist over the rumors about the, the Falcons and Hawks players thing, but there was also like a $100,000 penalty or something attached to the cease and desist, which I don't really, I'm not 100% clear on where the money part is, because usually a cease and desist is just like, stop talking about me. And so Shamiya at the reunion is like, tell me where.
Starting point is 00:53:01 you heard the rumor, tell me the full details. And Angela is like, I am trying to cease and desist the way that you asked. And Shemia's like, but the hundred, if you don't say, then the hundred, it's like, just drop it. If Angela doesn't want to keep talking about it, then just let it go. Because, I mean, trust and believe. If Angela had like solid details of this, I bet she would just say it. Angela's letting it go because it was kind of just. like some shit she was making up. And at the end of the day, it's like Shamiya should just kind of let that go. I do think it was an interesting moment that I could see repercussions of when Andy asks Shamiya,
Starting point is 00:53:49 where do you see yourself fitting into the group after this season? Because that just feels to me like the kind of question that you don't really want to be asked by Andy in the third part of a reunion of a season where you have found yourself on the outs with some of the most, you know, powerful people in the group. Because let's just say, Andy is not asking Portia where she sees herself fitting in with the group next season. He's not even asking that of Fadra. Fadra has not had the most storyline or personal drama going on this season. but Fadra just makes sense on this show. You could say that about Drew,
Starting point is 00:54:35 you could say that about Angela, you could say that about Kay Michelle. I am starting to feel that way more about Kelly and Pinky as this reunion goes on. Shamiya is the one where it's like, okay, so if you can't be in the same room with Portia, if you're just barely getting along with Cynthia Bailey, if you have issues with Angela and Drew,
Starting point is 00:54:57 and now Kay Michelle, because Kay Michelle's talking about Shemia's mom, what are we doing? Where are we going? What's the, what's the, what's the angle? And I don't know that Shemia is or isn't going to be back next season, but it just, it seems like it was notable to me that Andy phrased that question to Shemia that way, because it did kind of feel like, okay, what now? Do you have anything up your sleeve? What's the, what's the goal? Because Portia and Shemia aren't making up. They don't want to, Porsche's like, why do we even have to talk about this? And it's like, babe, we saw what happened in Scotland. You're not getting away, but just like not speaking about Shamiya on this reunion. But I loved this season of Atlanta. I think they have all the right pieces to just
Starting point is 00:55:43 basically get it back going again next season. And I hope that they do that. I hope the cameras are up quick. And I can't wait to see where these ladies take us next. Lastly, we have next gen NYC. They are off on their ski trip. The house only has five bedrooms. It's not great. This cast has like 12 people. Where are they all going to sleep?
Starting point is 00:56:12 There's bunk beds. There's, you know, people sharing beds. I mean, thank God Liam and Ariana are at a point in their situation ship where they're willing to share room. Otherwise, somebody would be sleeping, you know, on the patio. But anyway, the big like through line to talk about this episode, other than Georgia being in a grocery store and saying that she doesn't go grocery shopping much. But the thing no one talks about is how there's all this food there. And it's just crazy. There's so much for so many options.
Starting point is 00:56:46 Like, what did you think was happening at the grocery store? What do people? Like, what do people talk about grocery stores? if it's not all the food that's there. Like people pick grocery stores based on all the food. I don't know what Planet George is on. It's fun to watch. But the whole situation with Ariana and Liam and Charlie,
Starting point is 00:57:11 I feel like as the weeks have gone on, I was pretty much on the like Liam and Ariana. This is so cute. Such the better alternative to anything going on. with Charlie and like Hudson's kind of a loser. I am really finding myself now kind of on Team Nobody in terms of the men. Ariana is stunning, funny, you know, has vivacious star quality. I don't want to see her sort of like picking out of a bunch of men that just like don't
Starting point is 00:57:53 deserve her attention. I'm like, you could either be single or if you really want a man, like, go find someone who deserves you. And I still think Liam is like a better person than Charlie because the way that Charlie is speaking about Ariana when they're like in the in the car up to the ski house and he's just like, yeah, you know, she like, she like texts me. She's kind of like booty call thing and you know, like whatever. I don't give a fuck about Liam. So like, yeah, you know, like it was very. And it's obvious that he is being like a little sarcastic. He's laying it on thick.
Starting point is 00:58:33 He's joking about certain things. Even if you can tell that, it's just like gross. You're talking about somebody who is a woman who is friends with everybody in this group who has already had so much of her personal life aired out in public. Like, why are you adding on to that in a way that's not even, like, accurate or, you know, it's just is, it's so, it's, it's, it's, it's, it'sicky. I don't like it. But also, I feel like the way that Liam is navigating the sort of, like, competition for Ariana is just, like, a little rubbing me the wrong way. Because even before they get to the ski house, when he, like, has been, you know, he's found out that Ariana went over with friends to Charlie's apartment to smoke at, like, 1 a.m. And he's like, yeah, I mean, like, if that's where you go to get your weed, like, I can get you weed. And I'm just like, why are we talking about getting weed?
Starting point is 00:59:37 Like, it's 2006. Like, you have to have, like, a guy that you text. Like, I can order online from my legal dispensary and they deliver it to my door. in like 15 minutes. You don't have to have a plug to get you weed. Ariana, buy your own weed. I think that could do a world of good for her if she just is her. Be your own plug.
Starting point is 01:00:09 Be the plug that you wish to see in the world. Don't rely on some skeezy band to be like, hey, I have weed. It's like, yeah, me too, brother. We all have weed. But anyway, then they get to the ski house. And, you know, Ariana finds out, you know, Gia has felt really uncomfortable about the way Charlie is talking about her in the car. And then at the first dinner, it becomes, you know, a topic of conversation. And Ariana and Liam are clearly not 100% on the same page about what is happening in the
Starting point is 01:00:47 their relationship because Charlie's like, well, I mean, what? You're not like exclusive or something. And it's like, oh, well, we're like dating and, and Ariana's like, date it. Like, I'm, I mean, I'm not like your girlfriend. And part of this is just like semantics of we all have different definitions of the same five dating terms at this point. The idea that dating means that someone is your girlfriend or boyfriend or exclusive relationship. It's like back in, back in the, I don't know, the olden days, it was like, you could be dating five people. Like, you're just, you're going on dates. You're seeing each other. Things just mean different things to different people. I mean, they've obviously had some conversations about how they want to portray their
Starting point is 01:01:36 relationship on the show within the group and maybe they're not 100% clear. on, you know, who's saying what at this point. But what really is alarming is that they go back to the house. And as I said, Liam and Ariana are sharing a room. And apparently they're up talking until like 6 a.m. And Liam is talking about how he was upset that Ariana didn't defend him like he wanted to at this dinner with the Charlie stuff. And then he says that he loves her at like 5.30 in the morning. And it just is, I'm getting the ick.
Starting point is 01:02:26 And I hate to say, I'm getting the ick from Liam. It feels like he is. I mean, I'm sure he was like drunk, tired, whatever. I don't know. But it's just like you have to, if this is a relationship that is, important to you, which Liam is saying the things to make us feel like it's a relationship that's important to him, you have to be able to like talk about this stuff and be, you know, have that good communication. And it just feels like he has something in his mind that he wants
Starting point is 01:03:04 it to be. And Ariana maybe has like a slightly different idea of what it is to her. And it just is like, this is so fresh. You guys have not. known each other for like two months. If it's, if you're already having this type of complication and, you know, Charlie aside, it just is like, okay, maybe this isn't, um, maybe this was like a, a fun season storyline, but I don't think this, don't go to Christmas, Ariana. Earlier in the episode, she's with, um, Briel and a couple of her other friends. There's this, um, there's this girl, um, what's her name? I wrote it down. There's this girl, Carson, who's at the dinner who's like, total like blonde bombshell like I looked up her Instagram and it's just the kind of person where like
Starting point is 01:03:49 every photo that she's ever posted is just like a photo shoot in like heels in a swimsuit or you know like a mini dress and it's like where do you live what do you what do you do for work like what's your what's your story and there's like no no details just just just just hot just look hot just like they're giving I think Ariana good advice where it's like this is not have fun you don't need to like you can do whatever you want. And that's the thing. Ariana can do whatever she wants. The other thing I just have to say,
Starting point is 01:04:19 this girl, Kendall, who's on the show this season, seems like a nice girl. She had one job. Because we flash back to Ava and Amira telling Kendall that she needs to warn Liam about the stuff that Charlie is saying, about the direction that this all is going. And she's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I will. and she didn't fucking do it.
Starting point is 01:04:44 Kendall, I know that you are a newcomer to this group. I know that you have a whole, I don't know, is she a friend of this season? It's a little hard to tell. You gotta give us something. This is episode 10. All you have to do is send a text to Liam. You're supposed to be Liam's friend.
Starting point is 01:05:02 You need to tell him that this is happening behind his back so we can move the story forward. I know these people aren't seasoned professionals when it comes to being on reality TV, but that's just, that's just, that's amateur hour. Rookie shit. Kendall, give us anything. We have a couple more episodes and then the reunion this season. So I am excited to see where this goes.
Starting point is 01:05:33 And it does seem like Ariana in real time is probably single, which, the way all this is going, I am good with that. This has been so fun. Thank you so much everyone for listening, watching. Don't forget to rate, review, subscribe. Next week, we have a great episode with Gibbs and Johns coming out, so make sure you tune into that.
Starting point is 01:05:52 Everybody, have a great weekend. And until next time, be cool. Don't be all like uncool. Betches.
