Mention It All - RHOSLC’s Apology Roulette, RHUGT Heads To NYC, & Grading Next Gen’s First Reunion
Episode Date: September 25, 2026It’s been a whirlwind week in the world of reality TV, but Dylan is back to break it all down. He starts with some quick takes on the recent episodes of RHOC, where Vicki’s situation seems darker ...than we realized. Meanwhile on RHUGT, she’s whooping it up, and Luann is on everyone’s last nerve. Plus, the RHOM cast makes another compelling case for being taken off pause. Then, Dylan discusses the cast announcement for next season of The Traitors, and digs into some initial opinions on the current Traitors: New Blood season. Then, he dives deep on RHOSLC, including our abrupt introduction to new friend Quai, and Whitney and Heather’s cornucopia of questionable apologies. Later, it’s time to talk about the Next Gen NYC reunion, and how real world drama might impact the show’s next season. Hey everyone, welcome back to the Mentioner All podcast and another Friday episode. It is already the last week of September, which feels so crazy. We are really, we're barreling into fall. It's like 58 degrees in New York City. I'm personally loving it. I know some people are not not ready for the crisp weather yet, but I am going to say thank you. I'm going to enjoy it. And we have a lot to get into this Friday. Last week, you know, we did our normal episodes, but we had to record a little bit early.
because I was out and about doing something last week, which you guys will see soon.
So we didn't get to talk about certain things last week.
And I feel like this week my cup runneth over with things that we need to discuss.
Namely, we have Ultimate Girls Trip to talk about.
We have Salt Lake City.
Of course, we're now two weeks into the season.
And things are a little bit less depressing this week.
You know, it's an interesting start to the season.
We're going to talk about Roney.
I think we're in a pretty good place there. Knock on wood. It's feeling like we might have some good momentum.
The next gen reunion has now come and gone, so we're going to talk about that. Oh, my God, Traders New Blood, four episodes already.
There's lots going on in the TV landscape. Maybe O.C. Okay, O.C. Let's do it now. We'll get it done.
I've caught up, well, technically, I haven't watched this week's. God. It's so,
The schedule is just oppressive at this point.
I've watched, you know, the last couple weeks of OC, but I haven't talked about it in a few weeks on here.
And I, it's so strange because is this season good?
No.
We've established that.
We had our great friend Michelle Collins on the podcast earlier this week.
If you haven't listened or watched that, go check it out.
Always fun shooting the shit, catching up with Michelle.
OC this season is, it doesn't have the juice.
We've established that.
But watching those two episodes where half of the group was at Vicki's second or third home,
depending on how you calculate it in La Quinta,
and she was calling Jen the low-hanging fruit in the group,
and then yelling at them for being disrespectful to her in her home.
And, you know, over and over again talking about how dare they disrespect her
when she bought stuff to make pizzas and spend.
$400 to heat the pool for their ungrateful, lousy asses.
And then Jen and Emily deciding to Uber home from La Quinta to Orange County, however far that is.
It sounded like it was like a two-hour drive at 11 p.m.
Crazy Town.
Just, it was a little chilling to watch.
And Mike, Michael, do we call him Mike or Michael?
I can't get a read on it.
He's like lurking in the house.
and we're getting like, you know, shaky cam footage inside the bedroom while Vicki's like, you know, talking to Mike while the girls have been disrespectful.
And then she tells everybody to get out.
But then she says that she meant the crew and she's mad that Jen and Emily are leaving and she's just been heating the oven for the pizzas.
And I feel like I am on scary island.
It is cuckoo bananas in that house.
And again, this season is not like.
good, but watching those scenes, I was like, this is, it was kind of engaging. I'm, I'm curious to
see what happens next in a sort of like paranormal activity, like what's going to, you know, creep out
from behind the door if you, if you stay on that spot too long with the camera. It's just weird,
weird, weird vibes. And then Vicky and Tamara did have that, uh, that sort of sit down. And it was,
I mean, it was a little bit illuminating about kind of where Vicky is at in her life
and talking about how she feels like if she and Don had never left Chicago, they would have
stayed married and that her priorities were in the wrong place when she moved to California.
It's so hard because, like, I don't want to be dismissive of her feelings and, you know,
regrets or whatever about the life that she has lived.
Like, obviously, that's her experience and I don't, I can't take that away from her.
But I'm also like, people get divorced in Chicago, too.
Like, I know somebody who's getting divorced in Chicago right now.
Girl, it happens.
I think it's a little bit of, I think it's a little bit of like wishful thinking, you know,
woulda, coulda, shoulda, to be like if we had never moved to Orange County,
my partner that I got divorced from like 15 years ago would have just like we never would
have had a fight.
Like, that's not how life works.
Like, you know, it's a choose-your-own-adventure sliding doors kind of thing to a point, but it's like, baby, people get divorced everywhere.
It's, who cares?
Just, you know, live your life.
Vicky just feels like she's stuck in so much, I don't know, just like a mud about all the stuff that's happened to her.
And I just wish she could, like, be a little lighter.
And honestly, on girls' trip, we're starting to get there.
She is, she's drinking tequila.
she's having a good time and suddenly she is no longer the the number the least valuable player in the group she's
having fun and luan has become a fucking nightmare louis luan is just so luan you know she is really one of a
kind and i mean that in the best and worst way it is wild how consistent she is honestly the amount of
times that she will just randomly be like standing in the room, she's in the hotel room,
she's in the car, she's at the party, she goes, gems, jet silhouettes, a mirror on the wall.
Who's the fairest in the land? I guess it's not his call. Like, she at the drop of a hat in any
situation, will just kind of like tickle herself with a random lyric. And it just is, it's so funny.
It's like, do you, I imagine, like, do you think, like, Celine Dion just kind of, like, walks around the house and she'll just be like, when I was young.
I should be like, all by myself.
Like, are, like, singers just like, like, is Adele just kind of being like, oh, easy on me, baby?
Like, is that?
Louis, it's just so high on her own supply.
Man, there is one shot when they're at the lingerie party in Miami.
And Luanne is in her fedora, of course.
And she's kind of like mugging for the camera.
Like, ooh, ooh, ooh, doing just like pulling a face.
And you can see Adriana in the corner of the frame fully just being like,
like, what's, what is this?
And when Adriana is looking at you like you're doing the most, you're doing the most.
Because Adriana is getting carried in in her showgirl costume,
singing a, you know, acoustic cover of Faya that nobody asked for.
It is just, man, I am having so much fun watching Ultimate Girls Trip.
That is one, I will say, over the years, I have gotten in a groove with a lot of my
Bravo shows where I know what I have to keep up with.
It's part of my job to keep up with it.
And a lot of the time, I'm watching stuff like during work.
I have it on my monitor at the office.
When I'm working from home, it's like, okay, let me, you know,
know, catch up and take notes and I, you know, can be eating lunch or whatever. But like I, you know,
it's, it's work. I, you know, I think it was like, you know, Monday night or something this week and I
hadn't watched girls trip yet. And I was like, you know what I want to do right now? I want to watch
my Miami girls. I want to see this gangster lunch. I want to put this on right now. And of course,
you know, I'm still watching it with the mindset of like, yeah, I'm going to talk about this,
you know, on the podcast or, you know, what's the.
the what's going on. But it's just so much fun. It's just a, it's a good vibe. And I kind of feel
the same way about New York so far this season. I'm just really enjoying it in a way that I was not
sure I would. But specifically at that lingerie party in Miami, there is truly so much going on
with the Real Housewives of Miami cast right now or when they were filming this and seemingly since
then, it just every time I learn one more new thing about what's going on in this group of women,
it becomes more and more frustrating that they're not filming another season.
Like, at this party, we barely get glimpses of some of these women.
It's not like we're spending a full hour with the Miami cast, but we find out that Lisa and Jody have
broken up.
And, you know, Larsa's telling her, I told you so, I knew you could do better, like, blah,
blah, blah, blah, blah. Larsa and Lisa still have drama over, you know, they, they kind of made up at
the reunion. But then, uh, Larsa's like, oh, you're not texting me. Like, blah, blah, blah, blah,
like they're, you know, they're kind of still at each other's throats a little bit.
Alexia and Todd are back together and somehow Mary Saul is okay with it. And, and Alexia's like,
well, Todd's always been my guy. And it's like, baby, not at the last reunion that you filmed
when you were zero, no contact. There is so much going on in this group. But it's like, I just,
want to watch it.
Show me to me, please.
Send it to me, Rachel.
Like, film the show.
I don't know why it's so hard.
But it's obviously it makes sense that most of the Miami ladies are there.
But it's so funny to see like who is kind of getting additional random invites to these parties.
Because we have, we have Peggy Tanos who was on one season of OC, like 15.
years ago, Jacqueline Lareda and Melissa Gorga are at the lingerie part. It just is like,
sure, come on down to Miami, I guess. It's so funny in like 2026 to watch Jacqueline
Loretta and Melissa Gorga, like, decide whether or not they're going to fight with each other.
And they're like, fine, I'll guess we'll hug. It's like, yeah, like, we can't pretend to still
be doing this, you know, after all these years. But overall, just a really fun vibe.
then they go to New York
and we have two events in New York
we end at the Halloween party
which is kind of a to be continued situation
but before that we have the gangster lunch
and they go back to the
Italian restaurant in the Bronx where Derinda said clip
and now they have that table
literally like enshrined behind a velvet rope
with this like AI ass
cardboard cutout photo of Derinda
it is so funny looking at the screen
shot of that thing.
And they make it seem like that's just like
at the restaurant all the time. I don't know.
If anybody has gone to, I think it's
Zero Otanova in the Bronx
and it's there, let me know.
Like now I kind of feel like I should go.
Like maybe that's like,
maybe I'll go there for like Thanksgiving or something.
But it is so funny
because it looks like Durinda
except like
smooth and like
soft.
And that look of like
you told AI to be like, make a photo of Durinda Medley looking like a woman saying clip.
And it was like, yeah, here you go.
And you're like, that's not, I don't, is that?
Okay, sure.
This looks like Derinda, if she was a cartoon character and also 20 years younger.
But I love that she's getting her, you know, historical due.
The Gangster Lunch is interesting.
Again, I would love to know how they're deciding exactly who gets invited to win.
events because you have Carol Radswell is there. Derinda obviously is there. Derinda meets Luann at the
hotel where her boyfriend is like in bed only wearing underwear. I'm like what's what's going on?
I didn't know you could get like a conjugal visit on Ultimate Girls trip. That feels like there should be
a you know like separation of church and state like you know when you are like rushing a sorority
and it's like no no bars, no boys, no booze during rush. I feel like you. Like you're
you shouldn't be able to have your boyfriend over to the hotel for Ultimate Girls trip.
But what do I know?
But yeah, there's not a lot of like extra people at the gangster lunch.
And so it's interesting to see Carol in that environment because, of course, this was before
they had started filming for the season of New York.
So this was, you know, after BravoCon really her first like entrance back into the world of
housewives. And she writes this, you know, it's like an excerpt from her substack that she reads
all that. I'm like, okay, always be promoting. Got it. And you know, the women are emotional. It's nice.
Andy actually read that same excerpt at the premiere party for Ultimate Girls Trip. So I was like,
wait, I feel like I've heard this before. Oh, yeah, yeah, I literally did. But it's nice. And then it
opens up to this really, like, kind of crazy moment of Teresa and Kyle both being super vulnerable
about kind of their feelings about having so much of their life and their family's lives
portrayed on these shows. And, you know, Teresa talking about how, like, there's been,
there's been some happy moments, but kind of mostly not.
And that, you know, thing, like all the stuff that she went through with her family.
And, you know, obviously she like literally went to prison on this show.
And she lost both of her parents and all the, you know, strife that she went through with her brother and, and the family stuff.
And like, that is a whole, you know, thing to unpack.
And she's getting really emotional.
And then Kyle talking about how Portia, her youngest daughter, literally told her, I don't remember life before all of this.
And that she's, you know, she remembers as a little kid wearing, being miced up at her birthday parties and, you know, having these like family conversations with the cameras in the room.
And I like that they have kind of allowed these conversations to happen on this platform.
because obviously like Bravo doesn't want to make a show about how being on Bravo like ruins your
life or whatever. That's clearly not the goal here. We're like celebrating 20 years of housewives.
But I do think it's cool that they're allowing them to have these like sort of honest,
nuanced reflections on like, yeah, I've been doing this for a really long time and it hasn't
only been positive. Like, of course I'm grateful for the opportunity and thank you, Andy. And, you know,
the NBCU and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
But like, it's, there's a lot of,
there's a lot of shit that comes with all of this.
And I think that that is something that especially on this like 20th anniversary
thing, it's nice to have that kind of 360 look at like,
what does it mean to put your life out there for such a long time?
And so it's nice.
I just, I thought that was like a great, you know, added dimension to all the,
you know, fun and drama and whatever.
that we're having on this trip.
And then we end with this Halloween party
where Portia is like super late
because she's at the hotel
and everybody's like, you know,
is Giselle going to be mad at Porsche
for being late after she freaked out on Lisa?
First of all, okay, I agree.
Portia should not be as late as it seems like she is.
Ditto, you know, Jessel being two hours late
to the Seder.
Though Jessel said that,
what did she say?
I think I saw on threads she like posted
about this. She said, I was two hours late to pass over dinner, although it wasn't two hours,
I was grabbing something from the top shelf of my closet and fell off the ladder. I was so drugged
up on painkillers and could barely walk. Whatever. Sure. But I do, I would say just like in,
I guess, like, pre-defense of Giselle, because I don't know exactly how she'll handle this,
I do think being late to the airport transportation that everybody is relying on to not miss the flight to the next destination that the show is filming at is a little bit of a different thing than being late to a party where everybody else is able to leave and be at the party on time and you're going to just like arrive yourself solo late.
Obviously, it's not great etiquette to be late to someone's party, but it's different than
potentially causing like 100 people to miss a flight that it's very important that they don't miss.
But again, Portia, you know, get it together.
I want to touch on the Traders cast announcement because that came out like a week ago,
and we didn't get to talk about it.
And I just want to quickly get into who is going to be on Traders this season.
So we have Traders New Blood that just premiered last week, which I'm going to talk about a little bit.
I won't really get into spoilers too much because I feel like people are catching up on their own time.
But then next year, like normal, we're going to have Traders Normal coming back on Peacock.
And our housewives for this season are Cynthia Bailey, Giselle Bryant, and Bronwyn-Newport.
that is a very fun combination.
I am very curious to see the terrible outfits that Giselle will be wearing
and the amazing outfits that Bronwyn will be wearing.
And I'm sure Cynthia will look lovely too.
But you know Bronwyn is really going to be going like over the top,
like couture, just pulling things that you have never imagined before.
And I'm sure Giselle in a similar but different way will be wearing.
things that you have never imagined before.
I said every plaid accessory known to man will be in her suitcase and she will be putting
them all on at the same time.
I'm a little nervous for Giselle because I feel like the energy that she brings to housewives
where she sometimes is like, Lisa, we're going to talk about why you were late.
Heather, I heard that you were being messy over here.
So let's talk about you being a mess.
I feel like she is going to bring that same energy to a roundtable.
And I'm not sure that it will be received.
Well, I'm not sure how well it's received on Housewives either.
But on Housewives, it's not a competition show format where people can vote you out at the end of the episode.
and I do worry that Giselle, if she is a faithful, or if she's a traitor, to be honest,
could, like, just come on a little strong in her, you know, producer-ish ways and turn other people off.
I don't know. I would love to see her have a good run.
Also, from the provostphere, we have Amira from Next Gen NYC and Craig Conover, because why not?
Amira, I think, is great casting for traders.
She, like Bronwyn, I'm sure it will be turning out the looks.
She will be, you know, the princess of the castle.
She will look amazing.
And I think she could be really good at traders because I think she's like, she's super
well-spoken.
She's very, you know, like charming and great at, I think, making people like her.
And I think she's also like smart and probably a good liar.
Not like, I think she's a liar.
but like I think she could like pull it off.
And I also think that it is really exciting that she is being cast on this show
because coming from Next Gen NYC, a show that's only been on for two seasons,
and knowing that she is not one of the housewives children,
so it's not like Brooks Marks getting cast on NextGen or on Traders,
to me this really signals that Next Gen NYC is like moving up the ranks of the Bravo.
kind of pecking order, and that, you know, they just finished their second season. They gave them a full
studio reunion, two parts. They're, you know, allegedly, reportedly having an LA spinoff that's
coming, you know, at some point. This show, I think, is, like, really being seen as having a lot of
potential by, like, the network and whoever else makes these decisions. And I think Amira being, like,
tapped to go on traders is a another indicator of that in a way that I think is really
warranted and exciting.
Craig, I don't know.
I don't know what energy Craig is going to bring to traders.
I'm a little bit like, do we need this?
Was there just like an extra spot?
Did somebody else drop out?
Like Craig in 2026, I just like don't think of him as being like that exciting in a way.
But I guess they always, they do have sort of like a straight man, quote.
quota on traders.
Like it's like there's always somebody from The Bachelor.
This season they have Joey Grazadegh going on there.
There's always some straight guy from Big Brother that I don't, that's kind of none of my
business.
So I guess, you know, Craig is going on there.
We've had like Tom Sandoval in the past.
We've had Pilot P.
You know, I don't know.
I'm very curious.
I had this thought.
Like people who haven't watched Southern Charm or Summerhouse, are they going to watch
traders and be like, who's this hot guy from Southern Charm?
Like, are people who don't know enough going to think that he's like a hunky guy?
Or are they going to be like, who's this like sweaty, raspy voiced man who seems like
he can't be trusted?
I don't know.
No shade.
I mean, like, who among us hasn't been like sweaty or, you know, raspy at some point?
Or can't be trusted?
I don't know. You can't trust me.
I'm excited, though.
Kristen Chenoweth is going to be on this season.
Crazy.
Bianca Del Rio, drag race, icon.
Love her.
She's going to read somebody for filth at the roundtable.
I hope she's a traitor.
Please.
Michelle Fitzgerald from Survivor.
Also, Quintavius, Q, from Survivor.
Taylor Hale, Big Brother winner.
People love her.
I'm not a Big Brother person.
But people are, like, obsessed with her.
It's a fun cast.
It's a little bit of an eclectic group.
like it always is. One thing, I do feel like they are maybe inching toward what the UK has been
able to do with, they just started doing celebrators last year and the second season is coming back.
And they have some like fucking legit like celebrities on there. Less of the like reality.
They have some reality TV. Um, like I think maybe like Maya Jama is going to be on the new season.
But they also have, um, they also have like, uh, house of the last, uh, last, uh, last,
of us. They have like real actors and stuff.
Celia Emery was on the last season.
They have just, Myhala from Industry is going to be on there.
Bella Ramsey, yes, love them.
It is, it's a little bit more of like an esteemed assortment of people.
A lot of like comedians.
Just like kind of giving some really interesting like cultural commentator figures.
Casey Wilson is going to be on.
U.S. Traders this season from like bitch sesh and a comedian, she's on S&L and happy endings.
I just, I mean, Traders is great. They always do a great job with the casting. So I can't wait
to see that season. And honestly, New Blood, I am, I am really getting into it. So now they did
two episodes last week and then they did two more episodes this week. And I'm a little, I'm not
sure if that's the, are they doing two episodes every week? Because then why not just make it like
one long episode? I don't know. But so. But so.
far it's been two and two. So I've seen all four episodes. I'm not going to spoil the results at the end of
episode four. People can catch up whatever they want. But the interesting thing, and I kind of talked
about this prior to the premiere of the season, is that it is really such a different experience
watching this show when it's 23 or whatever people that you don't know anything about. Because I've got to be
honest. I've watched four episodes of this. I'm enjoying it. I think it's, I think it's a solid
group. I remember two people's names. There's a gay cowboy named Ben and there's a traitor
lady named Tamika. Beyond that, do not ask me. I don't know. I don't know a person. Oh,
that Southern lady who was loud and wrong at the first roundtable, I think her name is Christy,
but like with just an E on the end. It is, and of course, there's, and of course, there's a lot. And of course,
other, you know, UK has done, you know, civilians. That was how they started doing traders. So it's
not like this is the first time they've done it, but it's, it's such a different experience. And it feels
like people are really trying to suss out like more of who you are as a person versus like who,
what your kind of persona is. Because on traders with celebrities, it's so much about who's a housewife,
Who's a gamer?
Who is known for, you know, this person one survivor.
They're probably really good at lying or they're good at the social game.
On Traders New Blood, it's really about like, oh, this person, you know, this person seems the way they were speaking to me felt really trustworthy.
Or, oh, this person said something that caught me off guard and this person, the way they're fighting for shields and the challenge, it's very, it feels a little bit more like everything is like a scrambling.
ramble. And I think that's exciting. I definitely think it's a little more of a slow burn in terms of
getting to know the personalities and really having fun with the sort of the people themselves. Because
on, you know, when you have housewives and stuff, it's like, oh, you know, Cynthia Bailey could
say something hilarious and iconic in the first five minutes. And because it's Cynthia Bailey,
I'm like, love that crazy girl. She is just so funny. And with this, I'm kind of like,
okay, we'll see.
I don't know if these people are going to be stars.
I don't know if they're going to have a ton of people.
People are complaining that they're like influencers or whatever.
I'm like, I don't know any of these people.
I'm sorry.
In 2026, I feel like I've said 2026 12 times so far on this episode.
In this day and age, being like a lawyer who happens to have 50,000 followers and do a podcast or something, I'm like, that person is not famous.
That person is not.
They're still a, that is a civilian.
A civilian with a following, perhaps.
I mean, I have like 20-something thousand followers on Instagram.
Trust me.
I can go to the airport.
I can go to the grocery store.
I'm a civilian.
Like, it's, I just think people get, like, in their head about it a little too much.
But I'm enjoying it.
I'm having fun.
I am curious to see, like, how this season starts to progress.
Because so far we have had, like, some really bold people making, you know,
statements at the roundtable and really like kind of heated arguments. And I'm curious to see if that
kind of like energy stays as the group starts to diminish a little bit more. Or, you know, if it,
if it starts to get a little bit more like, oh, we're going to make like subtle moves behind
people's backs versus like, you are a traitor and I am not a liar. And it's like,
Christy, um, wrong. But I'm really enjoying it. I'm having fun. Also, I feel like there's just so much
good energy around these competition shows right now because, you know, everybody's watching Traders
New Blood. I feel like everybody's talking about dancing with the stars. The Voice also premiered
this week. And, you know, we've been doing, uh, Betches has been doing some like fun content
with The Voice this season. And so I feel like I, all of a sudden, I'm like, wait, I, I'm like very
intrigued by this because, so the coaches this season are, it's Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah,
iconic. Adam Levine, who I feel like is like OG the voice. Like he was moves like Jagger
2010 or whatever that was. And then this country guy, Riley Green, who I gotta be honest, I'm not
very familiar with, but I've been seeing these like videos and stuff with him. And I'm like,
okay, first of all hot. Second of all, like very successful. And suddenly I'm like, I guess,
I think we're watching the voice. I don't know. There's a lot going on. There's a lot to keep up with.
But the voice is on Monday nights. And then I think
It's going to be on Peacock later in the season.
Exciting stuff happening all around.
Let's talk about Salt Lake City, though.
Because, you know, last week we covered the premiere.
Of course, the big, you know, kind of theme of the premiere was navigating the stuff that Mary is going through with Robert Jr.
Mary is not in this second episode.
They, you know, Lisa Barlow has this ski day that Mary's invited to and she does.
decides not to join the group. And that's, I mean, the whole thing that everybody has been saying
since this was happening in real time is like, she's taking her time, we're giving her space.
She's, you know, welcome to join us for as much or as little of this as she chooses, as she feels
up to. And, you know, that's, I think, how it's going to be for the next, I don't know,
how long, maybe the whole season, maybe the next few weeks. So I think it's kind of like,
I don't want to say it's nice that we can put that aside for this week's episode, but it does feel like the premiere just had to be really about that.
And this week, we start covering some new ground.
And I think that that's important.
I think the balance is key.
And right off the bat, I was kind of caught off guard.
We meet a new lady.
We meet somebody we've never seen before.
why. And I
guess, I mean, we've
had new people on Salt Lake before,
but it's been a few years.
We had, you know,
Bronwyn and Brittany
a few seasons ago. Of course,
once upon a time,
Angie Kay was but a friend of that we
didn't really care about.
Over the years, you know, there have been people that have come
and gone, Monica, remember her. She was on
weakest link this week.
What a time.
But no,
the episode starts with Lisa Barlow going to visit Ashley Quai.
I guess we're calling her Quai.
Quy's new house that she's building that's like on the top of a mountain and she owns the whole
everything the light touches is hers.
And I was just kind of like, who is this?
Because so Quai is a friend of, I guess.
So she was like announced with the cast, but she's not really like, she's not a housewife.
like she's not a housewife.
But, um, suddenly we're meeting someone new.
And it is just kind of like, you know, there are sometimes where like, if you're going
to a party or something or like a dinner and it's like, oh, like there are certain nights where
it's really fun to meet someone new and to be like, you know, making new friends or, you know,
learning about somebody's corner of the universe or whatever.
And there are certain nights where it's like, if we're having like, if we're having like,
girls night and just like chilling like I don't want to meet a new person can you not invite your
friend to dinner like can we just like can it just be like the four of us and I kind of feel that way
about why so far and it's nothing against her um she is she goes way back with Lisa and Meredith
she was on Lisa's glam team I'm like I'm like how big is Lisa's glam team again I mean I've talked about
the glam before it's nothing
to write about. It's a lot of bronzer. It's a black eye. Whatever. Um, so Quai is now married to this guy
who spends 80% of his time in Florida. She has no idea what he does for a living, which, um, I guess
that's a theme on Bravo this year. I don't know. And she is obsessed with his nipples. What are we doing?
I don't know. Like, I just met this lady. And she's on FaceTime being like,
Honey, show me your nipples.
I'm like,
Ew!
I mean, everybody has them,
but like the nipples.
She's like, he comes home from Florida,
and I haven't seen him in a week,
and I'm just like, give me the nipples.
And I'm like, I'm so uncomfortable.
I don't know.
I don't know, but Lisa is really,
she's given kind of like sincere from Love Island in this scene
because she's like, yeah,
if Salt Lake City is like Game of Thrones,
then you know which houses are good.
And there's the house of Barlow
and the house of Kauai
and nobody wants to be with the house of Whitney.
And she says that
she loves everything about Kauai
except that she's friends with Whitney.
And she says that her forgiving Whitney
is like a giant mountain to climb.
It's almost like a Miley Cyrus song.
Like, ain't no mountain high enough.
There's a few.
I'm like, what is going on?
We have just, we have just, like, gone through, like, a fun house mirror of metaphors in the last two minutes with Lisa Barlow describing quai and how much she doesn't want to forgive Whitney.
But speaking of Whitney, she and Justin are in a strange place at the beginning of this season.
We know, we've heard, you know, in the blogs, the streets are talking that they're separated.
Obviously, at the reunion last season, she was very upset by the news about Bronwyn and Todd and seemed to be triggered and reminded of her personal situation.
But she's, I don't know, I can't really figure out, like, exactly Whitney's deal right now because she's, like, upset about the TikTok from the drag brunch.
I just love like when we when we invent new sentences.
Like she's like,
the TikTok that went viral from my drag brunch
just like slapped me in the face.
Sentences that have never been said before.
She's still, she says it's been really hard.
They're still talking about the loss of the business
and, you know,
how she had wanted to like be in Sephora and Alta,
which like good luck.
And he wanted to go back to the MLM stuff.
she's been using alcohol to cope
instead of dealing with her emotions.
And now she's moving her stuff to the guest bedroom.
And they're still trying to figure out what to tell the kids.
And Justin's like, well, yeah,
they think the only time mommy and daddy have ever fought
is when they gave you a del taco coupon
and we didn't use it.
Respectful.
Okay, as a child of divorce.
parents who's my parents got divorced when I was in college um we knew respectfully
we knew there were fights bigger than the del taco coupon and you know I was it was a loving
home whatever but it's like Bobby and whatever the other one's name is I don't think they
think that the biggest fight mommy and daddy I've ever had is over a del taco coupon I'm just
going to put it out there and also it's like how big is mommy is
moving all her stuff to the guest bedroom.
They're going to know. They're going to notice something.
It's like, wow, when mommy woke up this morning, she was in a different room.
I'm not saying that Justin and Whitney are going about this in the wrong way.
I just am saying, like, the kids aren't two years old and they're not stupid.
You know who might be stupid is Bronwyn's guy Brandon?
They're not together anymore.
So this whole thing kind of feels like neither here nor there a little bit.
But he thinks Tanya Harding murdered somebody.
he thinks Tanya Harding killed a woman.
I just think I don't know.
No, but the other women have a lot of questions for Bronwyn
about this dating situation because they, you know,
it seemed like she wanted to keep it secret.
And, you know, she's saying that she, you know,
Whitney met Brandon at Sundance and Bronwyn like didn't want her to talk about it or whatever.
and then there was a press release a week later,
and Bronwyn is saying that they had gotten,
you know, they were seen by the paparazzi
or something was about to come out,
so they wanted to sort of preempt that.
We also find out that Bronwyn brought Brandon to,
Bronwyn brought Brandon,
tongue twister.
She brought the new guy to Robert Jr.'s funeral,
which I do feel a little weird about.
Like, you don't, I mean,
I could see, like, if you're emotional about something,
it's nice to have somebody there to sort of like lean on. But like the new guy, the like hot model
that you're just starting dating. And like you don't need to bring like a plus one to a funeral.
Like go see him after. Go, I don't know. I shouldn't judge people's decisions. I know that
everybody goes through things differently. And that is something that I shouldn't have that strong
opinion about. And I guess I don't. Um, no. But look, let's just say,
Everybody's skeptical that the paparazzi have been like out hunting down Bronwyn to see who she's, you know, spending time with post Todd.
I don't really, I don't feel strong.
I mean, I don't know.
I doubt there's that big of a paparazzi industry in Salt Lake City.
But if they were in New York, I don't think it's crazy to think that somebody would have spotted them.
I mean, Bronwyn was probably wearing like a, you know, leopard print puffer coat with a matching ball gown.
like she tends to be visible, let's just say.
Like she makes a, she's striking a lot of the time when you see her in public.
But the big, you know, oh, Britney is like not sure how she should try to move on with Meredith and Lisa.
And I'm like, maybe the answer is you don't.
Because if Meredith doesn't want to move on with Whitney or with Heather, let me tell you, she has not thought about Brittany in the
months. It's not on her to-do list. It's not on her agenda anywhere.
And, you know, of course, Heather is also in a bad place now with Lisa after what she said at the
reunion and then at Girls' trip at the party in Atlanta when she was talking about her
facelift. There's a lot to, there's a lot to apologize for between Whitney, Brittany and
Heather. And it's going to be a long road this season because next we, the bulk of the
episode takes place at Apreski. Apreski with Lisa B.
Um, Lisa like fully falls off the ski lift, which is just, uh, why do these women insist on skiing?
I know you live in Utah, but like, you don't have to ski. You could even put on the outfit.
You could wear the designer snowsuit and never go up the mountain. And I wouldn't judge you at all because, I mean, I might not wear the designer snow stoop, but I'm not going up the mountain.
When Meredith is like, doctor's orders can't ski how to facelift, I'm like, more power to you.
And I love that she is
I love that she's being honest about the facelift.
We know who her doctor is.
We're getting, I got a press release about it this week.
And it's so funny, though, in the confessional, when Whitney just goes,
I love that she's telling us that she had a facelift and is wearing a wig.
And the producer just goes, she never said she's wearing a wig.
Got it.
Got it.
No, that's the hair that's growing out of her head.
Those are the down to the root.
follicles are there, I believe it.
Not a wig, not a wig, not a wig.
Could never be a wig.
But we get a few different like apology situations happening over the course of the ski day.
First is, you know, after the ski mountain before they go to like the opera part, Whitney tries to apologize to Lisa.
And to her credit, she takes her aside and, you know, she says that she was wrong.
and that she didn't mean when she said at the drag brunch.
And Lisa is like not excited to accept the apology,
but like also is not a 100% no.
But she says she like doesn't want to do this again with her basically
and that she feels like Whitney holds herself to a different standard
than she does to any of the other women that like Whitney's allowed to mess up a million times
and nobody else is.
And I think she has a point.
But also it's like it's it's the big.
beginning of the season, Whitney kind of has to do the apology tour. Like, it wouldn't work for her to
just not address it. But they kind of end things where Whitney's like, Lisa, I love you. And Lisa's like,
okay, I hear you. Thank you. Okay. Well, we'll see. We'll put a pin in that one. But then they're
on this sprinter van, as they always are, to the lunch. And Heather decides that that's her
opportunity to apologize to Lisa.
And this drives me nuts because Heather is sitting in the back row of the Sprintervan
and Lisa is sitting like right behind the driver's seat.
So there are fully like two rows of seats in between them.
And Lisa has to like turn her head around like 180 and Heather has to like project her voice.
And they're on like mountain roads.
It's probably bumpy.
And Heather's like, Lisa, I just want to say, you know, I feel really bad about what I said at the
whatever.
And I just want to say I'm sorry.
and Lisa's like, okay.
Like, what is Heather doing?
Heather, you have been, this is not your first rodeo.
This is not your first apology tour.
You have been down this road before.
Why do you think that this is the good foot to start out on when you're in a moving vehicle
with eight other people and you're not even sitting face to face?
Like, what I mean?
It's not, you're not setting yourself up for success.
And I would love to see how they're, you know, really set.
She's dating a new guy.
She's empty nesting.
Like, put in a good effort at least.
But they got to the lunch.
Lisa's face is on the place cards and the table topers and everything.
It's a great photo of her, you know, love to see it.
And at the lunch, they basically immediately sit down.
And Whitney starts getting into a tearful apology to Meredith.
And she's like, yeah, you know, I just hate that I would.
So can we please move forward?
And Meredith just goes, yeah, it's not going to happen.
And she's not accepting fiction.
And she's not accepting storytelling.
And it's, you know, I expected this for Meredith.
And I think that Whitney is trying her best to be like a really good sport about this.
because she's like, I accept that you're, from your perspective, why you would think it's fiction or why you would think it's storytelling.
And Meredith is, again, just really in like shut down mode where she's like, well, that's not my perspective.
It's a fact.
Whitney.
Whitney's like, I'm just scared that I'm going to spend all season with Meredith, like, staring at me with the beady eyes again.
Which I love the like side by side of that because Meredith does be doing that.
and you know Heather
Heather
Heather and Meredith also have their stuff to
to get into because Heather says that Meredith called her a pill popper and a homophobe
and we get an audio clip from Meredith on two T's in a pod
where else
of Meredith saying that Heather was laughing
about Bronwyn being a lesbian for kissing a woman
and that she was like taking a sleeping pill
it's just like oh my God enough enough
we cannot be spending another
season arguing about something
somebody said on two T's in a pod.
I don't want to do it.
I don't want to do it. Don't do it.
Oh, enough.
Don't you wish you could just hit skip
on the worst parts of your life?
You know the same way you can skip an ad.
I get it.
I'm Siyaya and I live in Ice Cove.
I've made some questionable decisions
that didn't end up the way I planned.
And today I'm still figuring it out.
Somehow things usually get worse
before they get better.
Apparently, that's how I roll.
So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride.
Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC Gem.
Okay, let's talk about, let's talk about Roney a little bit.
Two episodes, three episodes into the season.
I think the consensus that I am seeing is that the new girls,
especially Daisy and Haley are really working for us thus far.
I agree.
It feels like both of them really have interesting, you know, unique vibes.
Haley is like, you know, cuckoo for Cocoa Puff's complimentary.
The scene where she's like FaceTiming with her mom.
And she's like, you know, my Vave M therapist?
She wanted me to join a queer bird watching group.
And I was like, how could birds be queer?
And then I was like, oh, wait, she met me.
Just, I mean, the things that are coming out of her mouth are,
TV gold and people are really responding to her thus far.
I like that when Aaron brought up her calling her boring,
she's standing ten toes down. She goes, yeah, I think you are. I think you are boring.
And, you know, Aaron gives her the gift of the, the bougie jam of the month club.
I think it's kind of fun. Somebody was like, that felt staged to me. And I'm like, well, yeah,
Aaron showed up to the Seder with a jam. Like, obviously she was planning to do that.
I just think sometimes can we just like have nice things and enjoy them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Anything that feels stunty is because somebody decided they were going to pull a stunt.
You know what is a little, what I can't really figure out,
whether it's coming more authentic or kind of, you know, rehearsed a little bit is
Jessel is coming in really hot this season on a couple of different fronts.
she first of all is like just I mean last week was really laying into Carol with the Kennedy stuff and Carol you know is upset about that and calls her rude and thoughtless and Daisy is upset about Jessel's comments about her like flirting with her son's tutor
but when Jessel goes over to Daisy's apartment she walks in she's appalled by the popcorn ceilings which I think I talked about last week she just cannot believe she's not seen it since the 80s
And then she also is like flabbergasted that Daisy and her husband, well, her husband in particular, has been in this apartment for like 21 years.
And Daisy's lived there, you know, the whole time they've been together.
And she's like, oh my God, you don't want to move this two-bedroom apartment.
You could find something so much better.
And immediately, Daisy tells us in the conventional that it is a rent-controlled apartment.
And if you are familiar with New York real estate, even if you are not, a rent control
apartment is literally like an heirloom that is passed down from generation to generation,
because that shit cannot be found.
And if you find one now, the price is not going to be whatever the price was in the 80s
that somebody started paying and passed down to their kids.
it is truly like a like unspoken rule that it's like if you have one of those apartments,
you like you don't let it go until like somebody dies.
And even then you might find somebody to pass it down to.
And so the second I heard her say that it was a rent control department,
I'm like, obviously she's not going to move.
Duh, you could, she could keep that apartment and rent a storage unit for all of her clothes.
and it would be way cheaper than any other solution.
Like, it just, it's one of those things where Jessel, and I enjoy Jessel a lot of the time
on the show.
So it's, this is not like, it's not about like her as a person, but it's like, she, I think,
thinks of herself as, like, the norm and, like, being the, everything she does is, like,
obviously that's what everybody should do.
And I'm like, the way that you talk about.
like people, places and things in New York.
I'm like, I don't think you know anything.
She thought Tribeca was like some dumpy neighborhood.
She thinks this apartment is like a piece of shit that she, why is it?
Why don't you want to move?
It's like, you just, you like clearly don't really get life here.
I don't know.
It's weird.
It feels like she, I don't know how long she's lived in New York, but it feels like
she hasn't really like tried to fit in at all, I guess.
And like, but like the rent control department, Carol doing the alternate side parking.
I'm like, those are like real New York bitches.
And like, Jessel just like isn't about that life and that's okay.
But you're on their turf.
They're they're the ones like that's, I want to fucking rent control two bedroom apartment
with popcorn ceilings.
Move me in tomorrow.
I'll never leave.
But that was weird.
And then they're talking about Aaron and with her house flooding and Jessel is suggesting
that it was like an insurance scam.
that's kind of nasty.
And then when Aaron and Jessel meet up and, you know,
Jessel's upset about this dermatologist thing that Aaron brought up.
And it basically, Jessel has invited Aaron to meet her.
And it immediately devolves into Jessel just kind of like be raiding Aaron.
And she calls her a one-man Ponzi scheme because there's some, you know, commission that she hasn't paid somebody or whatever.
She's going around in a smear campaign.
She's like, have you Googled yourself recently, babe?
You're a bootleg Houdini.
I did.
Jessel says you're a bootleg Houdini.
And Aaron goes, yeah, Houdini was an excellent magician.
And she's like, I said bootleg.
I don't know what anything.
You think you're Zendaya and you're fucking Blossom.
Which like, I mean, I guess that's a good read because, like, I would rather, I don't want to be, I would rather be Zendaya than Blossom.
Blossom is like awkward teenage years
Mayambiolic and Zendaya
But it's like where did that come from?
What are we doing?
She is so...
Jessel is like, I feel like she's really focused on like
Doreet voice like delivering the line
And it's like, I don't know if...
Delivering the line if the line doesn't mean anything
kind of falls a little flat.
And I think that Jessel, it feels like...
like right now she is like overly focused on like giving a moment. And I wish that she would
almost strip that back a little bit and kind of line up more with the Daisy, Haley, honestly like
sigh, Carol vibe of like just kind of like inhabiting the moment a little bit more versus
like creating the moment. And, you know, Aaron and Jessler honestly like they feel.
feel a little bit like out of alignment with the rest of the cast where it does feel like they're
kind of like performing this like housewife thing in a way that the rest of the group and obviously
half of these women are brand new to being on TV. But it does just feel like there's a little bit
of like a different energy between the two of them and the rest of the cast. I mean, I did laugh when
Jessel leaves the restaurant, the Bluestone Lane that they meet at. And Aaron's like the only thing
I learned today is that Jessel likes to dress like she's going to a nightclub at 8.30 in the morning.
Like, that's funny.
But, you know, the Seder, we end on a, to be continued, so I guess we'll get into it more next week.
But, you know, Jessel had her, she fell from the closet.
Aaron tells Haley that she'd rather be boring than break up a marriage of a man who has eight children.
So I think we're going straight to hell with Aaron and Haley.
And I, for one, am excited.
I'll take one ticket to hell, please.
Okay, we're going to finish off just talking a little bit about the next gen reunion because I didn't get to talk about it last week.
And I thought overall, especially for a first time reunion crew, I thought everybody did a great job.
I enjoyed it.
I thought there was plenty to discuss.
I thought that two parts was the exact right amount.
Bravo, again, I feel like I say this.
a lot. Take note, not everybody needs three. Not everybody needs three. Honestly, maybe most don't
need three. But there was, there was a lot of talk in part two about the whole Ariana love
rectangle situation. Hudson got brought out, you know, we, we heard from Liam a lot. It seems
like maybe Ariana and Liam are now like kind of back together, which I wouldn't be mad about.
Honestly, I think if Ariana and Liam were together now, I would be more in support of it than last year while they were filming when the breakup with Hudson was more fresh and it felt like the whole Charlie thing was swirling around too.
And it just felt like she was kind of like unsettled from being single.
And I do feel like now with like a little bit more time, it feels like, okay, maybe like that's actually a better timeline to be.
like pursuing a relationship, then like, oh, I just moved out of this apartment and now I have to
figure everything else out. And now I'm spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with this new guy.
Like I think that Ariana like has a good head on her shoulders, but you can still sometimes get
like swept up in something. And now I think she fully doesn't want anything to do with Charlie,
which is important and good. And I hope she sticks with that. Yeah, I liked that she like called him out
on some stuff, like, um, when he was making comments behind her back about, like, grabbing her ass and
all that. And he's like, yeah, but like, you and I would like joke about that to each other. And she's like,
right, but it's different when you say it about me and I'm not there because then it's like objectifying.
And like she, she like spoke her piece in a way that I thought was important. Um, and wait,
they go backstage though. And I feel like I have to whisper because it makes me uncomfortable.
Um, Charlie is talking to Ava, which by the way, Charlie and Ava are like besties now.
I'm like, what?
I guess Ava just kind of needs an ally, which is, but it's like, really, that's the best we can do.
When Georgia and Charlie are going at it and Ava's like, well, all Georgia does is talk about Charlie, it's like, girl, sit down.
I was just starting to like her.
But they go backstage afterward.
Again, I have to whisper.
And Charlie says that Ariana said that he makes her pussy tingle.
Ew!
No!
Oh my God, I didn't want to think about that.
I didn't want to know that.
Now I have to know, we all have to know that.
And like, he manipulated her with Jesus and that's how he repays her.
I really hope that's done.
I really can't do another season of that.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
No, but we we hear a lot from Charlie and Georgia earlier in the episode.
You know, last week we were talking about, you know, all this stuff with Brooks and Shy and Charlie.
And it's, I feel like what I enjoyed about this reunion was like other than the Ariana stuff, I guess.
It's like there wasn't like one huge storyline or feud or whatever that needed to be addressed.
above all, it felt like there was just like a lot of good stuff to dig into from a season.
You know, we talked about Riley and Ariana and what's going on with them.
There was a whole section in part two where Andy's basically like grilling everyone about
who still gets money from their parents and whose business ventures are making income at this
point. And Brooks, do you make money from the clothing line?
And Shy, do you make money from the clothing line?
And Liam, would you ever be a full-time firefighter?
Because it seems like you have all these hobbies that don't really make money.
And also, Georgia, what's going on with the cleaning product?
And Charlie, are you trying to be an influencer?
And is that working out for you?
And, you know, is the crypto house affecting your ability to get brand deals?
And, you know, Ariana, like, do you support yourself?
And Riley, would your mom pay for law school?
Like, I actually kind of liked it.
I feel like that could be really boring.
But I do feel like with this cast, because they have so many different.
irons in the fire and everybody's kind of trying to like make it in a different way.
I actually think that that's the kind of info that is really interesting.
Like the fact that Brooks Marks is like admitting that his clothing line is not funding his
lifestyle.
I'm like, thank you.
I assumed.
But like it's nice to, it's nice to hear it straight from the Brooks's mouth.
No, I thought it was a good season.
Again, I wish they would have, I wish they would have filmed that Bahamas trip.
I thought that would have been really interesting.
A little bit of a missed opportunity, maybe.
But I feel like they are going to get right back into season three.
I don't know, though.
It's going to be really interesting.
If they start filming soon, there's been obviously a lot of stuff in the news with
Ariana's family, which is like so much darkness and just like gross stuff that I don't
want to get into.
And then now there's been a lot of chatter about Gia's sister Melania.
and that's all like, it just is, there's some stuff on sort of the fringes of these cast members,
lives and families and stuff that I would be curious in a season three if and how much and how
they address any of that, because I don't think it should be, I don't think it should be Ariana's,
you know, responsibility to speak on this like darkness that's happening elsewhere in her family.
at the same time, I'm sure that that is weighing on her. And I'm sure that in the last, you know,
couple of months that, you know, that's not something that you just like ignore altogether.
And, you know, we saw in this reunion on part one, I, a lot of people I saw kind of like responding
negatively to Gia and Brooks kind of having this idea that like parents should be off limits.
And I do, I kind of agree with the people disagree.
with that where it's like, I agree, like, I don't want this show to be about a storyline that
happened on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City or Real Housewives of New Jersey four years ago
that was about Teresa and Louis.
Like that I don't think should be on this show.
But the whole thing of like Ava saying that Teresa unfollowed her on Instagram, like,
that involves Ava.
All of the stuff with Seth Marks and, you know, Charlie and him, like, Seth film.
a lot for this show across both seasons. He's been like kind of a character on the show. That kind of
stuff is never going to be off limits. And so I think that it would honestly be better for the housewives
kids to just like accept that in a certain way that is always going to be part of their narrative.
And of course, you know, I think that's where it gets complicated of next season. Like, are we expecting
Gia to talk about what's going on with Melania because, I mean, I think people would be interested
to have that perspective on it. But also, it just is genuinely, like, has been in the news.
And I'm sure that other people in the cast have seen it. But at the same time, is that what we
want this show to be, like, about? I don't really think so. Honestly, I'd rather know what's
going to happen with Ava and Shy. Are they, is he going to finally, like, buck up and ask her on a date
and not be like weird and scared to talk to a girl.
What's going to happen with, you know, Georgia and Charlie next year?
Are they still going to keep fighting?
Like, there's a lot going on in this group,
but it is just like those questions of how much do you let the stuff around the show come into the show?
We're going to have to navigate that.
And I think, I hope they will.
And I, you know, season three, get the cameras now.
Since our episode is sponsored by Ford this week, we'll be going on.
on a trip down memory lane and revisiting one of my all-time favorite real housewives adventures.
It is Salt Lake City season.
The new season has just come back.
So today we are going to dig into one of my favorite Salt Lake City memories.
And I was trying to think about what I wanted to talk about.
And the Salt Lake City ladies have been on some adventures.
Let me tell you, even just the last few seasons, they have this habit of ending the season on a crazy adventure.
there's always some drama going on. There's always some laughs, some good times too. There was the
Bermuda season finale. There was the Mexico season finale. But I want to talk about last season's
trip to Greece. Their trip to Santorini, it was beautiful, it was dramatic, it was funny, it was
engaging, it was everything you want to end a season. And I don't think I've gotten over it. You know,
we're going to make more memories with ladies of Salt Lake City. But let's just focus on this trip to
for a minute. First of all, I had forgotten when I revisited this that this was a trip around,
they were there on Mother's Day. And what says Mother's Day trip like being an ocean away
from your children, surrounded by six or seven women that you might not be getting along with?
It just is such a funny vibe when they're waking up on Mother's Day. And they're like, wow,
No kids. And then before they even get there, they're on the flight to the trip. Lisa and Angie are
already getting into an argument over Angie's watch on the way to Greece. And Lisa Barlow, you know,
she lives a very different life than all of us. And that is for sure. But she really, she's getting
so worked up about the other women in the group copying her. Everybody wants to be her.
Angie has the same watches her. They both, she, she bought the Cartier watch after she had it. She bought the
The, you know, it's all about competing. And so Heather Gay sees this happening. And she's like,
you know what? I'm just going to mess with Lisa a little bit. And so in the airport, she buys the
same watch for both her and Whitney. She spends like $6,000 on these watches. And I feel like the best
group trips, you want to have those inside jokes. You want to have those bits that are going on where
it's making you laugh throughout the trip. I think Heather, um, she really, completely.
committed to the bit spending $6,000. That's a little over and above what I would usually do on a
trip, but it did make me laugh. You know what else made me laugh is the next morning. They're waking
up at the house, and Bronwyn, Godlover, has printed out this reverse sticker chart to put on the
wall of the house of the friendship commandments. And this is something that just prior to the trip,
the women have met and done this, you know, Boston Tea Party nonsense and agreed on what their new
friendship commandments are going to be. And Meredith, you know, wants them to stop the reactive abuse.
And so there is this like chore chart printed out on the wall and there are like red, red like hatchmarks
under everybody's different columns of which friendship commandments they have broken already on the trip.
And this is another thing I feel like anytime you're traveling with the group, there's always one
person who wants to be, you know, very type A. We're going to keep everything in line. We have to
stick to the itinerary. There's the schedule going on. And again, was this super well received?
Do these grown women want to have, you know, somebody keeping track of which commandments they're not
sticking to? No, but again, it really made me laugh. But just seeing them, you know, obviously
there's the drama. There's, you know, the dinners where they're getting kicked out of the
restaurant. There's, you know, they're in this very fancy spa and Britney is splashing water on
Angie's freshly blown out hair and why would you do that? But just seeing them in such a beautiful,
stunning location, you know, they're on the sea, there's the water, there's these towering
cliffs and vistas everywhere and these glamorous women are wearing their, you know, outfits and
crazy. It just is, there's nothing better. And I have not been to Greece and I would love to go to
Greece. Maybe next summer I'll live my Salt Lake City fantasy in Santa Ana Greece and I'll inhabit
the spirit of Angie Kay and really just feel Greek, but not having been there watching the show,
I'm like, I feel like I'm getting the true experience. Now, there is so much that happens on this
trip. Whitney practically falls off a cliff on the side of the road. You know, Meredith, Meredith,
Meredith is in hot water with the women because she, you know, takes a call from her son while they're in
the ban and it's the only chance she's going to get to talk to him because he's getting on a flight
and then the women are mad that she was on the phone and then it's a whole thing. Meredith,
Meredith isn't having a great time on this trip. Now, one of the funniest images that is like
burned in my brain from this trip is when the women have been guaranteed.
giving Meredith a tough time and she decides that she's done, she's disengaging, she wants to leave,
and whoever the camera person is, thank you, thank you, thank you, because these shots of
Meredith just wandering off alone down the, you know, cobblestone streets of Santa Rini, she's wearing
her like little stiletto kitten heels and the miniskirt, and she just looks so adrift.
She's like walking with no destination in sight.
You know, she doesn't have the Google map out.
She's not paying attention to where she's going.
Sometimes when you're on a trip, I love to just walk in like a vague direction.
I'm like, I think my hotel is kind of that way.
And I'm just going to sort of see what I find.
I'm going to let the universe guide me.
And Meredith is certainly doing just that.
But the season ends, the very last, you know, episode, the last thing we do is this performance,
this play that has been written about and for the Real Housewives.
And this Sisters of Salt performance, this Greek tragedy that has been written about
the storylines in the group, I got to say, every season, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake
city have found new and different ways to sort of top themselves with these season
finalies. Obviously, there was the reality von Tis dinner in Bermuda. There was the reading,
the mean texts, dinner in Mexico. And so when they're in Greece, obviously they've been
fighting the whole time. What can you do to make it even more heightened? Why not write a play?
And whoever this woman is that is near it, she's like, Behold, they sisters have sold.
They have a deep divide and then they come together.
One wants to do this.
The other wants to do that.
It's like just, is this like something you can actually do?
If like can you, is this like a hiring troop of performers and they'll read a bespoke play about you and your group of friends?
Because if so, I need to get like six people and myself to Santorini and pay them to do that.
But it's, it's just like it's something that I can't imagine any other shit.
show on television doing, yet it's so perfect for this group of women. Now, do they leave Greece
in a super cheerful place with everybody getting along? No, I can't say they do. And, you know,
that's why we have another season already back and we're going to see what happens with this group.
But man, if you need just like some good vibes in your life, if you need to just, you know,
take a break and smile for a couple hours.
go watch this trip because it is so much fun.
And whenever the Salt Lake Ladies are on a trip together,
it's always going to be something unique.
