01:38Download it.Well, hello there, everybody.Welcome to a brand new edition of On to the next one.We are back with the matchmaking crowns following UFC Edmonton.Another trip back to the Great White North. And it won't be a long stretch of time before the UFC return.to the Great White North. They are kicking off the numbered event
02:17slash pay-per-view season in 27with UFC 336 in Toronto. How about that?So Canada becoming a hotspot once again for the UFCand this was a very fight-nighty event.Records were tied for most finishes on a cardin the modern era, 12 out of 13 fights were finished. But two fights of note,
02:42the main and the co-main event.big wins for Mike Milott and Jasmine Jazz DeVizia. So while it didn't start off great for Canada,it ended with a bang for team Canada. But I am Mike Hack and joining me, as always, following a UFC event. And it's nice to be reunited with him if we're being honest. The co-host, the co-matchmaker, the Prince of Positivity,
03:02and my bestest friend, the one and only,Alexander Kaylee, AK, how are we doing, how we feeling? Is Canadian MMA back? Are we back in better than ever here?It was never gone, my best friend. It was never gone.Something cannot be back if it was never gone. You know, sometimes it's a little sleepy.
03:19Sometimes it's a little creeping along in the shadows. It's not always shining in the brightest light. And we kind of saw both sides of it on Saturday.I mean, it was looking grim there for a while. It was looking grim.Anyone wants to see like how we were addressing it live.Just go check out the feed.Check out the feeding frenzy.
03:36You can see Mike just poke at the bear saying, oh, it could be 012.Could be 012 tonight, multiple times, multiple times.like oh that's not looking good so far it was it was so bad mike that uh mackenzie stiller who is onlyjust who was an american fighter was replacing a canadian fighter and still lost like that's howjinx being like vaguely associated with canada was uh on those prelims uc evidentin prelimsthen tanner bozer the the the cagey veteran uh god bless him gets that win over janees andkind of sets the ball right and then we get four out of six canadians winning on the main cardas you mentioned two in the biggest fights of the night so that was cool yeah really really a mixed bag
04:16but uh overall like you want to go on a high note right you go on a high note so you get them a lot winyou got the jessman jostovish's win you get the uc t ronno announcement as you mentioned mike ucci will be there of course i'll be there it's a hop's giving a jump away for me to go downtownand watch the ufc and you know who else i hope is there mike i hope we get either strickland imovof two or Strickland Shemaya of two because no matter who it is, you'll definitely be getting Strickland versus A.K. Lee, too. All right? I am telling you. Listen, oh no. I got to finish the story, Mike, because I feel like I, I mean, depending who you ask on the internet, they think apparently my career ended. But wow, they'll be amazed to see me two years later. I'm still alive and kicking, guys. And frankly, I thought I won the first matchup with Strickland 5045. But I guess I got to go finish job because I'm going to knock this guy out. But yeah, I don't, I don't think we'rethe Strickland title fight inToronto? No, we'll see, we'll seehe's got to resolve this
05:12drama with Dana and the UFC.Dana at the Post-Frike Press conference on Saturday. As I just said, he's not awareof any meetings happening anytime soon. I believe Stricklandsaid he wants to talk with officials. It could behe's meeting with other people in the UFC thatthat's not Dana, very possible. But I don't know if that's getting resolved anytime soon.
05:27But yeah, UFC 336. There's some possibilities. We can get some really great fights on there. We'll get somegreat Canadianrepresentation, maybe even Mr. Mikelot. Maybe. Perhaps he probably should fight on that card. Yeah. Perhaps maybe the title in his divisionwill be on the line on that card. Perhaps maybe. Maybe he'll be in that title fight. I know, butI mean, look, if something had to somewhere could happen, he could get elevated, you know,he could he could get elevated. So, but we'll see what happens. We'll, we'll, we'll react to
06:01Toronto announcements, the T dot, so to speak, as, uh, as these things come filing in. Butwe are officially on UFC 33 fight week, AK.I could not be more excited.Like, this is what I'm talking about.333, and we're going to run down this lineup at the end so you can understand where we're coming from. For all the people that are like, oh, you just hate on every card. You have nothing nice to say about any of them.First of all, you don't listen to anything we talk about.
06:25And second of all, is it such a bad thing as a fan to want something even remotely resembling this lineup that I'm going to read off to you at the end of the show?So don't go anywhere.Don't go anywhere because I'm going to read you off this lineup. And literally the first fight of the card is a fight of the year contender possibly. That's how good 33 is.That's weird to me is just to sort of bring it back to Edmonton and sort of what you're saying, comparing it to like 33 and some of comparing 33 to some of these other cards we've got recently that we've been critical of.Like I don't understand.
06:57Are people who to say like every UFC card that has a lot of finishes is good, whatever, whatever, are they not critical of anything?Like, do they watch...Like, did they just go to a movie and they're like, oh, well, I mean, it was, you know, the acting was terrible. It looked like crap, but there was a lot of explosions in it.So it was good.I'm not going to criticize it.
07:16And it's like, is that, it's weird. Is that a weird way?And again, you can go down, you can say compared to like a good action movie. That's fine. But you can still be critical.Like, it's not a bad thing to create. If anything, I feel like the most passionate fans are the most critical, but maybe I'm wrong.Maybe we've got to stick up my butt, Mike.
07:30It's not even critical. It's just the truth of the matter. We know, like, and it's not just, hey, we're old heads. We, you know, walked up hill both ways to school with no shoes on.Like, we're not those people. What we're telling you is we have insight to this.So when we say like, hey, this is a fun watch tonight, but by tomorrow, no one's going to care.Like, we literally can see it with our own eyeballs that everyone is officially moved on.
07:55And this is just one of those, most of these events are like that. It's short term gain.Yeah.But the long term effects.of this are gone. Like, we're not looking at, like, 331, that to me outside of the White Housewas the best card of the year. We were talking about that for weeks. So much good stuff happenedand maybe bad stuff depending on who you talk to. But like the Gable stuff was long lasting.Armand's knockout was long lasting. Josh Van, Pantosia 2 might be the fight of the year. Like so
08:25much happened on that card that we're still talking about. 332 is just a bunch of finishes, bunch of squash matches, a main event that was like actually competitive, but everyone hated itbecause it wasn't a knockout in five seconds. So like, is it okay? Is it okay to like have a mixof all that? Like I understand the need for a squash match. I like having squash matches on thecard, especially apex cards, but they can't be all squash matches and they all can't beinconsequential. Like just look at the prelims. Just look at what we watched. Yeah, there were finishes, but like are those do you look at any of those fighters and you're like you know what they'regoing to fight for a belt someday no you're looking at them be like hmm they might be around two fights
09:08later like that's come on kately sir minar got a freaking finish on this card yeah you got a finish on thiscard yes and like like that kind of ties to what i want to say we're like as enjoyable as emmintonmight have been depending on you know whatever your expectations are like there was at least i will say i thinkfive times last night, Mike, where you and I and Jen, you know, whoever was watching,we were like, so this person who lost should not be fighting in the O.C.I think we said this at least like five times. And or not be fighting, should not have been fighting this opponent on this night.Like you bring up McKenzie Stiller, for example.
09:44She's obviously not a UFC flyweight. She's clearly a straw weight. She looked half of Caitlin Serminara's size. She took this flight on short notice.Like I think McKenzie Steller could be a fine fighter, but that was as mismatchy as you can get.Like I know we haven't seen Caitlin Serminauer for a while, but she is a lot.but she is a perennial top of 15 fightersshe fought for UFC title once and again she looked
10:00to have like 20 pounds andI don't know four or five inches of heightI'm at McKenzie Stiller and thensorry to call some of these people out you know we respecteveryone who steps in the cage of course but likeLouis Lus Jardin was not hiswas not his best night did notlook right there Julian LeBlanc had
10:17zero chance of winning that fight I meanand it looked like it I mean it looked like heI think he did the Leon Chabazziahad no strikes thrown like I don't even knowJavad Majub, I mean, after that first round, we were all just like...That fight was actually electric. It was, but after the first round, we were like, he has no chance of winning. We just knew it was over.
10:35He has no chance of winning.Chad and Hellinger lost, and he hasn't fought in the UFC in two years, so a guy who hasn't fought in four years. So, again, I don't mean to mock the people who lost.I don't mean to mock the fighters, but just the optics of it, yeah, some of these fighters did not look, some of these fighters looked very far from UFC level on Saturday. And could they improve?Should they allow them get another chance?Sure.I'm not saying to release all these people who lost,
10:58but like, yeah, this is,this is kind of what you're saying.Like there was some,it wasn't just highlights. You have to look at the other end of the highlights, and those were real low lights when it comes to like the talent levelthat's coming to the UFC like these days, you know?Yeah.
11:12Like I always gauge it on like, are we going to talk about this at the end of the year? And that's like, very few cards are going to be able to live up to that. And then it's like, are we going to talk about this next week? And then it's like, are we going to talk about this Monday? And now we even have to be like,
11:28are we even going to talk about this?Like when on to the next one,we stop the record button, are we ever going to talk about this again? And that is like, that's the gauge of like the quality of the card. And again,it's not,
11:39it's just the truth of the matter. That's all. It's just what it is.And it's not even,it's not even negative. It's like you have to fill 43 events.Like you're contractually obligated to do it.Like they can't all be 333s.
11:50I totally understand that. But like,we look at contender series and we look at 46 fighters gettingsigned off that. And we're looking at theFried Boshrats of the world who are no longeron the roster, but yet has never lost. And yet, just because hedidn't have any finishes, and his
12:05fights weren't like terribly boring. Some of them were very fun.His last fight was quite fun, but it's like,eh, if he had one finish, one finish, he'd probably still beon the, it's probably still be on their roster.Even though he's like one of the more highlevel fighters they had. But
12:21that's, the game has changed. It's okay. Just accept it.We've accepted it.You guys can accept it too.The game has changed. It's more sports entertainment than sport. And that's okay. We're still going to be here covering it.
12:34Where's everybody else on these cards? What are they doing? Are they doing preview and post shows for these freaking cards? No.We're here.So cut the shit. And like we say a lot of positive stuff too.It just seems to get lost.
12:45I've seen like the YouTube comments. They're like, man,I can't have nothing but spend like 45 minutes.Crap me in this car.Like, no,we complimented this.We said, as you often said about a lot of these cards,
12:54it could be fun.You have said about many of these cards. When fight night rolls around, it will be fun, but inconsequential.Mike, one more thing before we move to the picks.UFC 333.I don't know why you keep hyping this up, Mike, because I see a lot of fights, frankly, that could go to, like, a competitive decision.
13:09And apparently, that's not good, as I'm being out there.I don't see a lot of, like, squash matches here, Mike, and I don't see a lot of people just getting murked in 90 seconds. And apparently, that's all that people want to see.Apparently, that is the definition of a good fight card.So this card is going to suck ass based on what I'm hearing.Look, I mean, just go listening.and Daniel Cormier, 332 is one of the greatest cards of all time.
13:29The greatest cards of all time.Yes, your boy, uh, Yakiyaf is a minus 500 favorite. There you go.I'm saying there'll be some finishes, but listen, we just broke, we just broke therecord at USC Eminton, Mike, so I don't see how U.S.tied it.Tied.Excuse me.
13:44How dare you.I have all that.Smerch, Serbia.Fake news.Fake news. But listen, I don't see how UFC 33 can match either of those cards because I bet like, I think likesix of these matches are going to go to a decision. And that sounds horrible.
13:55I know just a terrible time sounds horrible but let's get into look again a lot of good let's getinto yes yes i'm sorry we're done we're done guys we're done whining all right we're done whiningno i mean this only got fired up because there's one dude that i talked to on instagram that's allhe does he's like pokes the bear he trolls uh because he thought no one would watch the ronda rouseygina carano card on netflix um and he's he and i was just like not dude everyone's gonna watch itYou crazy? It's going to be the most watch of MMA event of all time. And didn't believe me.
14:27And out it was, I'm like, I want my apology. He still doesn't do it.So every couple months he comes in and tries to poke the bearbecause he's the most wrong person I've ever seen on the internet. And I respect the gimmick. So good on him.And now it's off to the positive. It's super positive stuff, from positive to more positive.
14:43Mike Ballot, not only did he beat walking Buckley, he flatlined him. This was, so I made a great point on the post-fight show. This is very reminiscent, not as bad, but very.very reminiscent of Marl Moreyce knockout of Al Jermaine Sterling, whereas like a kick was thrown, but it ended up being a knee and Buckley was out, out.Unbelievable stuff.
15:03I was super impressed with what I saw from Mike, especially that knockout, because Joaquin is very tough to finish. He's super durable, and he's never been, like, iced out like that. And five wins in a row for Canada's own, proper Mike Mulade, AK,
15:17what are we doing now? This was,uh,he's,he's in an interesting, spot, is he not? First of all, a round applause to Mike, of course, performance, and also just thematchmakers, who I think have done an awesome job of building an older contender. Because, you know, when when Malat first joined the UFC, he was, I guess, in his early 30 to that point, maybe 30, 30, 31,
15:40and didn't have a ton of experience, obviously a talented guy. Again, maybe a bit of a late start.Walterweight is not quite, I would say Walterweight is not quite as bad as like, you know, lightweight and under when it comes to being over 30. But it's still a division that I feel like, require some degree of like athleticism and speed and so on and so forth um so you know mike still hasthat i think he's still in his prime but uh you had to match make him carefully you had to matchmake him carefully even even his one loss the oc like the neil magni fight that made a lot of sensethat was in toronto that was the opponent oh he beats neal magni does in front of the home crowddoes a lot for his reputation boom we can move him up instead he lost and they did a great job
16:15of recalibating from there trevin giles charles ralz ratkey like i don't know if it's him and hismanagement also who have weighed in on this but the whole team whatever it is everyone involved inbuilding up like amazing job this is what this is how you build a guy up you give him an aging guy andgilbert burns you give you give him a guys in a bit of a slump like walking buckley and guys who aremore famous and higher rank than him now where do we go from here a lot of good options andwhen we get to the list of picks man they're all over the place a lot of things makes sense as we saidtoronto's coming up if he's able to fight in january you want to give him a big match up one that mightmake him one away from a teleshot.
16:51I still think he's two away.So I really messed up with that in mind.I didn't try and throw like, oh, if he beats this guy, he's got to give him atell shot.Nah.I like, this was suggested by a lot of people.I think I saw him with Keiza suggested as well.I think JDM.
17:04I think JDM in Toronto is a good matchup.Again, if he wins, even like a big knockout, I still think there's people ahead ofhim in line. But we'll see.We had to see what they're doing with Carlos Bruchas and Michael Morales.Emma Chado Gary is still in play somewhat. So, you know, those fights will bear out over the next four, five, six months. Some of these guys are going to sit out.
17:20And we'll see.So there's an outside shot that that's like a contender opportunity for him a lot.But I still think even if you won, we're still aiming for one more fight after. But just a matchup that makes a lot of sense, really for both guys.Yeah, I think that's the way to go.I mean, it's a good matchup.I would probably pick Mike to win that matchup. But JDM is a former champion.
17:41So that adds a little cachet to this. But either way, Mike has to fight like a really good dude or someone who has accomplished a lot.or one of one a belt or you know he'll be a sizable dog against on that toronto card he needsto fight in january he has to be on that card jdm would be perfect yeah i like that one now we goto jaz and jazz de vizzias who has a much better case for a title shot right now because onemulata is just in a super weird spot because the division is so log jammed up the topbut jasmine jes and jesdivis as a massive underdog just kind of beat the hell out of aran blanchethat fight was not close.
18:20That flight was not competitive at all until Jasmine just kind of let it be competitive in the third round, decided not to tackle her, which just had no respect for Aaron Blanchfield whatsoever.Which is like,I'll stay in front of you,you can punch me a thousand times. You're not going to do anything to me.And she goes out and gets the win.
18:3629, 28's across the board. Not one 10,8 on either of the first two rounds, which I don't understand. But yet we have to compare what Aaron Blanchfield did in round three to whatJasmine, Jassey's did in the first two rounds. It's crazy to me.but either way.
18:50Jasmine wants a rematch. She wants Natty Ice.Natty Ice beat the soul out of Jasmine Jazz DeVizious in her UFC debut.I don't think she's going to get it, though, okay? She could get it.I don't think she's going to get it.There is no rush to get Natty Ice back in there. If there's any chance, Valencia Shepchenko is going to fight at 125 pounds,
19:10Natty Ice ain't fighting anybody until that day comes. She could say she wants to be as active as she wants. It's not her decision. So also in January, we're going to have Jazz and Jazz DeViz's fight Alexa Grasso. And that fight bangs.Yep.Yep.We're not even friends forevering these first two.
19:25I think they seem pretty obvious. Also, I think you did as well.I don't remember when Grasso won her last fight.I'm pretty sure we both said she would get the winner of this UFC Edmonton fight.Maybe, maybe not.I thought you said that as well.Yeah.It just, we're just like, yeah, let's wait to see if Edmonton plays out.
19:39Whoever wins that fight is not going to be the number one contender, automatically, even if Blanchfield had won.I mean, she would have been closer than Jess.Jasmine Chastavisius probablyjust based on herthe rest of her resumebut doesn't matterJasmine won very convincinglyand she gets Grasso so tough matchup
19:57but this is where Jasmine wants to be manshe wants the big names like she wants the champ herselfshe got up she know she won a Mano Firodidn't go her way but she got that fightnow we give her a former championsoobviouslyJed was had a lot to say about
20:13Aaron Blanchfield oh my goodness I did notwatch the post-fight show specifically for that reason. If you guys want to get Jed fired up,just asking about Aaron Blanchfield.A fighter that we were all high on once upon time,to some degree still are.Like, it's hard because this is,this was a really, like, just awful performance.
20:30You know, this was not getting caught. This was not like, just,it wasn't even like, oh, she had an off nightbecause we've seen aspects of this,of this persona from Aaron in the past. We've seen it kind of sometimes be a slow starter. We've seen her sometimes lack that like, it's such a cliche, but lack that killer instincts, right?I was saying in our Slack, like, we make, it's a very broad distinction, but we often talk about the difference between who's a martial artist and who's like a fighter, like who's in there to hurt someone, who's in there to, you know, really, really just like, and like compete just for the joy of it, for the love of it.
21:05And I don't know if Aaron Blanchfield has that. There have been fights even when she's won where you feel like, oh, like could she have put her opponent away?Like, could she have kicked it up a notch and finished the fight?Such a skilled fighter, such a talented fighter.Only 27, like, I'm not, I'm just not willing to throw it out yet.Who knows three years from now what could change for her?But right now, it's very hard to view her as, like, a title challenger and, like,a legitimate threat to, like, anyone in the top three.
21:32It's very unfortunate because I'm still a fan, but that was bad. That was really bad performance. She is never fighting for a UFC title. It's over.the dream was done.I won't say it. I won't say it.Oh, my.27.
21:46I'm saying it.I don't care.I don't care.We've already,we've already done this song and dance.We've done it already.If Jasmine lost two,she'd be out of it.
21:55Like this, this was, this was that kind of fight.Aaron is just like, the problem with Aaron is,she is a good fighter, but like, she's just not very interesting to listen to.
22:07And I even said on morning combat on Friday.I was like,if you could put Jasmine's personality,in Aaron Blanchold's fighting style, like she would have already fought for the belt, maybe twice already. But she already has like such a long way to go.And then this performance, like,
22:20I'm telling like honestly. And I mean this with every fiber in my being.I think her team should call the UFC on Monday and be like,I want out of my contract.I want to go to PFL.Get me out here. She's just not long for this UFC world, man.Not because she's not talented.
22:38She's just not going to win a belt there. It's,She's not even going to fight for the belt there. It's, it's done. It's unfortunate.Go to PFL and she's immediately thrust into really interesting storylines. She could fight Liz Karmouche immediately. She could go fight Dakota Ditch of her second fight.
22:55Like, she can accomplish way more right now over there than she can't hear. And it's just the nature of the business. It's the sports entertainment side of things that Jasmine kind of has and she kind of doesn't.So again, this is not.we're not comparing Aaron Blanchfield to what we saw on the prelims of this card. We're not.She is super talented, but she is not anybody the UFC is going to rush into any sort of big opportunity again.
23:23So yeah, go go to Key MMA.Go do some fun stuff.Go win a belt.Like you can win a belt somewhere. It's just not going to be here because they're not going to give you that chance. So it's a bummer.Jed was like, yeah, I've sold all my stock.I'm off the island altogether.
23:39Stayed on McKenzie Dirt Island. But no, we're, we're fully off the Blanchefield train. So, but yeah, not a, not a great showing.Great win for Jasmine.Great win for Jasmine. Yeah, we should focus on that, yeah.100%.Great one for Christian Perez as well.Damn.
23:54I thought, I was like, dude, Kyle Nelson is a live dog.He might go out there and just shock some people. And then nope, he did drop him early.Kyle got the big knocked out early. He did.He did.He did.He did.
24:03He's going to do it.kind of is like legitimately.Like, I tell you, but at one moment justified my, I feel like our upset, like possible certainly i think uh yeah and then christian dude that knockout was nastyKyle Nelson was wrestling the referee for longer than he was fighting christian Perez like that was anasty knockout it was bananas I this is a dart throw for me but I think I'll land on a goodone should we do one should we do a one two three here because I got a good feeling let let'slook okay let's tease it out a little bit did you go did you try to find someone with like similar like
24:39less than five UFC fights? No, I didn't. Oh. I went someonewith a bunch of more. Okay. Okay, okay. We're notgoing to land on the same one. I'm trying to stick withsomeone who has experienced, but not a lotof UFC experience and hasbeen like competitive in their two UFC fightsso far. And it's coming off a win.
24:55I also want to kind of keepbuilding Christian prize. I think there'ssomething there. I know it took hima couple of contender series tries to get in there. He lost to Manuel Soza.So I don't, I can'trank him higher than that. So I can't give himsomeone I don't want to give him someone higher than Manuel Soza right now.
25:11So I'm going back a little bit.Mike,how do you feel about a little uh,landscapes and junior?Sure.I don't mind that.A little lands got a little belts for here.Yeah,
25:20I like that. What do you got?Jai Herbert would have been a good pick.I don't mind that.Uh,I actually went with Nazrat Haq Phras here.Whoa.Nice.
25:27Wow.I mean,a step back.Like, pretty similar.I would think right now to where Kyle is.It's not like a,a huge leap forward.
25:36I know, but 16 UFC fights versus one.Yeah.but Nazarra knows how to get,Nazarra knows how to get got, man. It's been rough. It's been rough. The last couple of fights.
25:44Yeah.So I think, I wouldn't mind that off.Perez is, I'm impressed with him. He's really good.He immediately top 40.I'm in the top 40 of the lightweight division.Oh, yeah. He's, he's right in that neck of the woods.
25:56So, Mark Andre Perryo.Damn.Yeah, he was in trouble and then he was no longer in trouble. And I think Dana White helped this man to no end because he realized he dodged a bullet at UFC27 or after you FC 297, Dana was all pissed off.And I think to this day, he confused Mozar of Lovloyf with Mark Andre Barrio.Because he said, oh, that's the most boring fight you've ever seen. And Mark on Jabario, Chris Curtis was a pretty boring fight.
26:23And Arnold Allen, Mobsar of Lov, was not a boring fight. That fight was the best fight on the card.So I think I may be realized, ooh, got to get off the skyline here. And since he's winning bonuses, he's become super fun, a bunch of fight of the nights.like he is not even in contention for the middleweighty middleweight belt right now. That's how far he's come. And he goes out there and finishes Kyle Dachas, who I think he's probably not long for this game either anymore,
26:48at least in the UFC.How about MAB versus Trayshon Gore, AK?That's where I'm going.Could be another fight of the night.Could be another fight of the night.I forgot. So he got performance bonus Saturday as well.So three straight fights with bonuses, two fight of the nights.
27:04And two in 2026.So two, two, two, one hundred grand bonuses, which by the way is like almost 300,000 Canadian. So Mark Andrebeiro is like living it up.He is more actually. He has four bonuses in his last four fights.Yes.No, I meant but two, two of the $100,000 variety.Oh, correct, correct, correct.
27:22But yes, but four straight. But so in total, so $300,000 in total from his last four fights, which again almost like 450,000 Canadian.Oh, probably more than that. So, yeah, he's living up, man. He's having a lot of putteen. He's a lot of putteen, drinking a lot of fine wine. And like you said, I would not have predicted this like four fights ago.Because, yeah, he probably was close to just being like, oh, yeah, I just got this guy.
27:45Like, he's probably making a decent amount of money, like just show money. You know, we got a lot of contender series guys coming in.But being Canadian and putting on exciting fights, that's the key.So, yeah, I went Cody Brundage.Cody Brundage, just keep it middleweighty, Mike.I just keep, let's keep it real middleweighty.Okay.Timmy Kawamba, A.K.
28:08goes out and gets the win over Mr. Jordane. That fight was not close, man.Timmy.What are we doing?Timi Piotr-Yan Kwamba?Yes.He looked incredible. He did.
28:19He sure did.Yeah.I mean, this was not a surprising result based on, like, if you actually watch these two guys fight,Timmy's been in there.I think there's a sixth UFC fight. It's about some pretty good dudes along the way.Jordane literally had nothing for him.So give me, call it lazy call what you will.
28:38Timi Kwanba versus Sue Young-U.Let's have a party.Oh, yeah, yeah, of course. That's fun. That's fun.Sue Young-U opened the night with the win over, Cody Chavanchek, who I still think could be a player in the UFC.But that was, again, not a great performance.
28:50Unfortunately, his first, excuse me, his first UFC fight.I'm going with a guy who won last week, who impressed against Malcolm Walmaker.Let's go with Tanzalovie or Tari Tanzalovie. How about that? How about that?Let's see if Timi Kwamba.Oh, I like that.
29:05Let's see if these two guys can keep it going. They're both in a situation where I feel like they got wins, and it was against opponents who probably are not being viewed as high quality right now.Wellmaker, of course, in quite a bit of a slump. And that was a very winnable fight for him, I thought. And Jordan making his USA debut and, you know, looking a little sub-UFC level. But, you know, credit to Kuwamba, credit to Tanzobovi. They did what they had to do.
29:31They got the wins.Let's match them up.Mandel Nalo, who I really like,he's just going to be super fun in this division. It is the best division in the sport.I don't care what Mike Malad and Paul Felder say.You guys are both insane, saying Walter Wade is the deepest in best division in the sport.
29:47You guys are both crazy. It is lightweight. It has been lightweight for a decade. It will always be lightweight. And Mandel Nalo, as fun as he is,is like the 50th best guy in the division. That just tells you how good this is.And every fight moving forward for him
30:02is just going to be a banger. It's just going to be super fun.Where do we go here, AK?Nalo versus 1-1-2-3 this one?I went.I don't think so because I went with someone who's booked.I don't know if you did.I don't believe he's booked.
30:19Okay.Okay, so there's no way.You can go.No, you go first then. You go first.I'm going Mason Jones.Yeah, I love that.I saw some people say that.
30:27Love it.Mason Jones. That fight's awesome.I had to go with.with Terrence McKinney who's fighting Jim Miller of course.Oh, nice.I just want the, you know, two guys literally have never gone to a decision. The under of that will be minus 350,000.
30:45Like they were not even, it might not even be on the board.Vegas may take the under off the board because what is like, what is the point?Like, yeah, yes, both guys never gone to the score cards. It's totally crazy. And again, I don't care of Terence McKinney beats Jim Miller.I don't get to lose to him.I this is for science.I want to see what happens.
31:05I mean, if it went to a decision,it would be like the funniest thing ever, but there's just the way these two guys fight, the way they throw, man, their aggression, that's the last, that fight's going to last.If that fight goes over 90 seconds,
31:16I would be shocked.I'd be absolutely shocked. So I need to see it.Maybe not next, but I'm manifesting this now.Anytime Mendel Nala winsand we're aught knowing for him,I'm just going to say Terrence McKinney,
31:26no matter what the situation is.And say it with Terrence McKinney.Whatever happens Terrence McKinney,I'm going to say he should need to fight Mendel Nala.Who did you wildcard out of this card?Because boy, going through and trying to figure it out, I had a hard time, and then I landed on something. So what did you go with here?I just did what I always do in moments like this, Mike.
31:43I went to what would make the ultimate fighter fans happy? And of course, that means finding a fight for young McKenzie Stiller, who again was not, is clearly not a flyweight. She took this fight on short notice. She looked tiny.I don't think she's a big straw weight, to be honest with you.So she looked mega tiny against Cermanar.and she will fight someone who also was a straw weightand took a short notice fight of flyweight
32:04that was from the ultimate fight 34 castof course everyone at home say it with mewe're talking about Anna MelisanoAnna Melisano who also lost in her debutbut she's not a 125er so let's get these ladies backin their weight classboth them were eliminated in the first roundat the ultimate fighter
32:20let's see the matchup this is Ultimate Fighter 34dream matchup McKenzie Stiller versus Anna MalesaboyI don't know if she'sgoing to do well at Sterling either.I mean, maybe she's got a personality. I don't know. She does. She does.
32:36Yeah, she, boy, she telegraph literallyeverything she throws. It's pretty crazy.I went with themom, Caitlin Serminara.Oh. I'm going the opposite end of thespectrum here. She goes out and gets a win.Gets her first finish
32:51ever in the UFC. Firstfinish in a decade since youfought for CFFC.Pretty crazy. But she goesout there and does the thing. And then, you know, I'm listening to her talk to Paul Felder. And I'm like, oh, no.Oh, no.
33:06She started talking.I was like, and I owe note immediately. She was like, Blonde fighter 2.0.I'm like, oh, no.Just stick the landing, please. You're flipping too much. And then she's like, yeah, this is a good warm-up fight.I'm like, boom, nailed it.
33:22She got it.She understood what this was.It was a warm-up fight. It was a tune-up fight. And, yeah, she, she, she,did what she needed to do.If she went out there and fought McKenzie Stiller to a decision,I was just like she'll never,
33:34there's no fighter in the world she can finish right now.It was just one of those you saw pretty immediately that still are in no shot.I'm a little bummed we're not going to get, although I love the matchup that we got.Don't get me wrong.I wanted Macy Barber versus this fighter. That did not happen.Macy Barber,
33:53not fighting Carly, Judy.So Casey O'Neill nods and needs something to do.And now she can fight Caitlin Serminara. And I think that'd be quite fun.Maybe on the Australia card in February, perhaps. That'd be great. You almost thought I heard a hint of an Australian accent there, Mike.It almost came out of you, I think, as you were saying that.
34:09But yeah, no, it makes sense.Perfect sense.Casey O'Neill needs a name opponent.Seminar is a name, especially now that she's back in the wind column.Yes.All right.Let's go to the peeps.Yeah.
34:19That's what you typically do here. We'll be live next week, by the way.So just keep that in mind. You'll be able to submit your picks via the SB Nation app.and on the YouTube channelor kick or wherever the hell we're doing these shows. So I don't know if I'm actually going to be here next weeknow that I think about it.
34:34So we'll have to figure that out.Perhaps Jed will be on producing duty. But yeah, let's kick things off with Micah.I didn't get a ton.Usually get the lion's share of things.I've got a handful.Yeah, still not a ton for this card.
34:46Micah, amazing card. Here, my out no picks for this week.Malap versus JDM in Toronto as the featured boutor as a featured fight.I like it.Buckley versus Jacoby Smith.Dana won't be doing him any favors after this fight week.yeah they could do that i would might one mind the holland rematch uh i do like jacoboby smith
35:03jacoboby smith last time he called he wants holland right that's the he wants holland right that's the veteranhe called it i don't know i'll say a lot people recommending buckley i guess that's is this where buckley isnow mike he is just i mean yep we can we can acknowledge he's probably not fighting for the topthere was like a spark of it as he went that was on that wind streak and was getting better on the mikebut you know once he lost the kamarrow fight and then definitely when he definitely tomorrow fightdidn't end it completely. The Sean Brady lost was like, oh, that's it.Oh, yeah, he's really.
35:28So I guess he's a gatekeeper, right?He's officially a gatekeeper.Yeah, pretty much.He's, he's, he's, he's fun fight territory probably.That's all right.No shame in it.No shame in it.A lot of money you made.
35:39Yes.Let's continue on with this picture.Jazz Davises versus Grasso, assuming civil fights of Chanko. We got a little bit of doo-do here.Perez versus Chonko, who is booked.Yep.against Manuel Soza, November 21st, UFC Qatar. And by the way, what a freaking lineup that is.
36:00That is one of the best fight night card you'll ever see on papers.Spectacular stuff.Mabee versus Ataba Goti.Thoughts on that, AK.I will say, my immediate thought before I had decided just keep things like middleweightyveterinary was to throw him in there with one of those middleweight prospects, like Atiba, Mansour, Damien Pina.and like Ryan Gondra, whatever, I might be forgetting someone.
36:25I just don't, I feel like Bakio has earned, like, not having to be in that spot yet.Like that may be how they eventually fight out his contract whenever that day comes.I think he could just like, like you said, let's keep putting him in fun fights, not necessarily in fights that are meant to like showcase his opponent, you know?Yeah.I wouldn't do that fight either because I would not pick Gotea to win that fight. And that's the other thing, yes, of the group I mentioned that Goet is the most likely to sort of be like exposed, quote unquote exposed, you know.Yeah.
36:53He's gonna, like, he's gonna be something. We just, you have to, like, be, you have to be super.Let's dial it back.Let's dial it back like with the competition level.Certainly.Cuamba versus Betaya Suarez, one of the best prospects from contender series.Nalo versus Chandler and Toronto.Battle of the exciting older former Bellator fighters.
37:12Oh, oh, that's, I did not even. That is, that's crazy.Who's this, Micah?Micah, he said, Micah.Micah, well done.Micah, I had not even thought of that.Wow.I know why that did not cross.
37:23I think I keep forgetting Michael.You know what?You know what?Do do off the board.Oh, yeah.No do,no do to.Erased.
37:31Erased.Yeah, it's like two personal foul penalties in the NFL.Offsetting.Nothing happened. It's like it never existed. And Tanner Bozer versus Anthony wins, which by the way, can I just say, call out of the night, in my opinion. This was a plus night for Tanner Bozer.
37:50He is the envy.Like, Malac, it's the big.big win and Jasmine has the big high stakes win.To me, the MVP ofUFC Edmonton by a pretty widemargin is Tanner Bozer. The performance, the crowd was on fire. He savedthe event for Canada in a lot of people's eyes.
38:05And then an A plusplus call out of Anthony went. I love it.Yeah, I like it. That's the way to go, man.Because I don't think Wint is going to get theSharath fight. Like, I think the timing just doesn't work out.I know that's what Wins want, but even Wint has said like,oh, I'll understand if it's not shoroff. Shrap does want to fight.Yeah. Tanner Bozer,
38:22out of nowhere very that would be a really tough fight for anthony went though oh yeah i would reallyat this stage i'd probably bet bozler to win i think he would be favorite i think even given thehype around win i think like bozer maybe not two to one but i think he'd be a comfortable likeminus 175 by the time fight night rolled around like there's a huge experience gap i oh yeah butbut i think wind would open is like a pretty big favorite and then i think people would understandlike ooh this might be a little too much too soon so uh he would also like to claim it out no pointfor Nolan Moycano. Is that, do we give an auto point for that fight,
38:54even though it wasn't the original booking? What was the original Ortega? We kind of supposed to fight Ortega.I think you still can.Okay, fair enough.Because we say like, hey, if you can somehow manifest this, whether it was intentionally like, you know, you're reading the tea leaves far into the future,
39:07then that counts, I think.Yeah.You know what, reach out to me, Micah.Do you want the Otno point and the doo-do?Or do you want no-ot-no point and no-do?I mean, these are the decisions you have to make.sinister what a sinister proposal about that is Halloween after all john ray sue young youversus timmy kawamba there you go there you go uh Chelsea Chandler versus carolosa I can't
39:30believe that fight was a that was a wild fight women's bad of weight it's cheese louisebut yeah no tell see yeah okay coslow versus well maker because that's what we keep him aroundfor oh how do you line that right now MikeWow.I'd probably favor Wellmaker like minus 140.Okay.Okay.But dude, I don't know if I pick Wellmaker in the fight.
40:00Maybe I would.I don't know.Where has Coslow been?Do we know?Is it just?Honestly, I have no clue.Life.Life?
40:09I don't even remember them talking about it on the broadcast.I would love to talk to him.I think we have to just see.Boy, he tried to, he got real religious on his post-fight interview.and Paul thought it was like cut him off.He was like, all right, we're done here.If we have to, we don't have enough time. It's like crazy.
40:25He basically like shit on Edmonton. It was like, there's too many demons out here.Whoa.Well, we gotta go.Thanks, everybody. He's like, thanks.Hey, we're up against the time slot here.Yeah, yeah, yeah.
40:36Jesus, just we know what you try to do.Good job, Paul.Good job, good job, so well because of Cermanar versus Barrosa?Uh, he locked. Is the contender series person?Uh,I'm sorry.I am not.
40:54That can't be.Barbosa maybe.Dejone Barbosa.Okay.That's what I'm going to assume this is.Yes.Is she a flyweight?I just want to make sure she's she's she beat last time, which everyone remembers, of course.
41:08Okay.Now, okay.Okay.Okay.Understood.Bagleyer versus RJ Harris, Galante versus Jordan Santos, Bozer versus Peterson, Nalo versusMalarkey, MAB versus Tullio, Perez versus Kaui Fernandez, Jada versus Grasso, UFC,Tidaliminator, both have lost in Adi Ice, no reason she should get cut to in front of Grasso.
41:33Buckley-Donchenko, Malat versus Leon Edwards, but realistically, the four former championsare interchangeable at this point.Donchenko.I mean, it actually does make sense.Wow.Like,I need to stop thinking of Buckley as,all this guy's in the top 20.
41:48He shouldn't have to fight anyone outside the top 20.It's like, no, at this three straight losses, they could literally match him up with anyone they want.Out of the title picture altogether now.So it's like, yeah.Yeah, tough out still.Yeah.And Dunchenko's won like four straight or something, right?
42:02Four straight, five straight. So you kind of have to give him a step up at some point, I guess.Wow.Yeah, that's actually pretty sharp.Left lane. Not no time after another and he put it in capital letters.High quality UFC event that was absolutely the peak of what Evan May asked to offer.Absolutely.
42:19Oh my gosh.Absolutely.A lot JDS.UFC 336 feature fight.Longer term crystal ball, Buckley versus Michael, Michelle Olvera.Pukedy will win another fight in the meantime and this fight will happen international fight week next year.Whoa.Okay.
42:36Really calling the shot there.Jasmine versus Grasso in TorontoVal moves upThey'll just give her the title shot in the co-main thoughJedd's new Daniel Zell-Huberversus Jedd's favorite flyweight Carly JudiceAfter she beats BarberJets new Jetsl-Dill-Huber
42:50I mean fairFairOh manI mean she wasn't as likehurtful to the climb as Daniel Zell-Huber wasDaniel Zell-Huber killedWhat is to date still the longest climbEver I believe it was yeah it was a yes
43:06It was the Danesel Huber.Yeah, Liz Carmuch deserves more flack for the climb dying.I mean, he was at 20 when Liz Carmuch lost to Jenna Bishop on Friday. No, no, no, no, no, he had died.20.No, it died again recently. It had died like last year.It was 20.
43:23No, it was at 20.And then he doubled up and Carmouche would have been 21.No, you mean on last to Barlow? This Friday?Friday, yeah.I don't think so.It had died recently.I think he was.
43:35No, no, no, no, Mike.I am the client.consultant. I assure you it. Yes, I assure you it it had died. It had died actually. Really? Yes. He is not he is not on 20 weeks. Okay. Yeah. That's what he comments on. I think it was the first comment on the feeding frenzy was that it died at 20. So he's playing with house money or something. Or he's starting over with, uh, whatever he had yesterday or last night. I have to see this. I, I didn't know. No, no. This is the 20th version. Oh, the 20th version. That was that was just starting. And now it is that.So technically it died on Friday. So I think Blanchefield, I think Nalo was the 21st version of the climb. And then it died.So now we're going to be two fights later.
44:17So by next week, it will be climbed 22 already.Oh, then never mind.Forget everything.Oh, gosh. But yeah, it was rough. Both flyweight. He had put in the climb and those.Tough scenes.
44:29Not good, man.Perez versus the Gordon Costa loser.Mab versus Gotea.A lot of excitement for MbV.Goate.But I get it.I understand what they're saying. They think he should be next up for one of these middleweight, like, prospect guys.
44:43I get it.Yeah.Quamba versus Kastaneda, Nala versus McKinney after the Miller fight,Bozer versus Wins, Galante versus Brundage,Fagler versus Tui Vasa, if he's going to stay on the roster on the Sydney fight night.I do not let him try his chances.I think Fagler killed.I really like Fagler now.
45:00I know it was like a weird late-noticed thing, and Majube looked terrible after five minutes, but I don't know, man.Listen, Vigler's 25 years old. He's a blue chip heavyweight.I like to dispose fights, but that fight was just electric.I'm like, dude, he could do something so funny right now.The big hulking heavyweight against typical UFC heavyweight and typical heavyweight wins.
45:23I knew when he didn't get the bunch of when he didn't get the finish in those first two and a half minutes, I was like, oh, he's done.Yeah, I knew as soon as the round ended and like, uh, Fegler walks back to the corner, like, hurt, but fine.and then other dude just like keels over.Oh, he grabbed the knees, Mike.He bent over.He grabbed the knees. And I'm like, oh, everyone who like Bet Majube or Hab Majub was part of a parlay, just like threw up right there.
45:45Just vomited. It's over.Oh.You versus Gafferoff, Kozlo versus Wellmaker again. And how about this, AK?Thoughts on this piece of business.Kael and Serminara versus Wong Tong.I like it.
46:00Yeah, I got some of that, too.You like it.Okay.I think one, I think my pick up.for Wang was lower or well no I guess that would be the range now I think I just you knownot calculated someone like seminar of course coming back and getting a win and all that umI think for one I think I went outside the rank oh no no no Wang I gave a big a big fightthat's right that's right my mistake I remember I gave Wang a big fight um but yeah she should be fighting
46:21ranked opposition I will have Caitlin seminar ranked I think when we do our next iterationit'll be somewhere in the 13 to 15 range frankly I have her ranked ahead of Wang Tong I people mightnot agree with that, but I do.Wow.I do.Despite Wang, like, actually, like, doing an okay performance in that championshipfight.I just think she's, the quality of competition is not like where it needs to be.
46:44And I still look at seminars past work, even though it's like four or five years ago now.Anyway, but yeah, sorry, I'm rambling.I think that's a fine matchup.I think we definitely could see that next.Okay.You're up, my best friend.Okay, yeah.I only got a few this time.
46:58We'll go to the email.I'm just going to try to avoid repeats here. But the two we saw them.I saw the most Jasmine and Grouseau for sure and Blancheville,Blancheville-C-U-N-Nal, a very popular one as well.Oh, also Malat and Delamadaling, of course. So a lot of those, too. Some people wanted Malat and Michael Morales in Toronto.
47:18I would like to-I mean, that'd be sick.I would like to see it.And that would be a, if Mike Malott be,whoever wins. But if Mike Malott beats Michael Marales, yes,you could justify giving him a title. If he upset Michael Morales and didn't get a title fight,
47:32I'd be pretty cheased.I agree cheese, not going to lie about it.And the middleweight prospect matchof I like that, a few people suggested, was himand Abdul Malik. People were likeMAB versus MAM. And Isaid, it's catchy. Andmaybe for Abdul Malik the right test
47:48for him, so I don't mind that. All right, via email, Matthew Stormant, saysMike Malott versus Ian MachadoGary. Any chance, Mike, any chanceof that happening?Um,Probably not, but I wouldn't hate if they did it.That's kind of, like, I think we're matchmaking based on like what we think the UFC will do just based on what they've done in the past.
48:17They want them a lot to, they want to give them a lot of fight that is perceived as like a big test. But not one that they're like, yeah, he's probably going to lose this one.I think they would at least be somewhat comfortable thinking he beat Jadem.I don't think they're going to have a lot of comfort that he beats Ian Machete of Gary. The Morales one, if we're going to go that big,I think you have to go Morales. And it's just like, let's see, man.Like if he beats Morales, he gets a title shot.
48:48I don't know. It's tough.I feel like they have other plans. But again, these cards get thrown together. You need big fights for numbered events. It could just be what ends up happening.it. Christian Perezversus Francisco Prado, Mark Andrei
49:00Barrio versus Dante Johnson,Cesar Almeida, winner.Mandelanollo, Alexander Hernandez.Oh.Yeah, okay.Galante versus PetroskyBokoyev winner and Fagler versus.Oh, Fagler versus
49:16Gable Steven.Did he just win the Gable Stevensweepstakes? Oh, wow.Becauseas bad as Stevenson looked in that last fight, actually think, based on what we saw in this fight, I actually think that is a fight that GableStevenson could win. And again, like I said, I like Bigler, but he was in trouble early againstMajub. Let's be real. He did get her early. He was. And I think one, Stevenson either finishes him
49:41like Majub couldn't or two, I don't think he gasses out as badly as Majub did. Like I think-Or did Bajoub win the Gable sweet stakes.Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no.Why did you?Why did you put that out there in the universe, Mike?Oh, no.You're into this.I'm not into it at all.
50:08But it could be.I hate it.I hate what you just did.Damn.Olympic gold medal wrestler versus OlympicChudo.Oh.I hate this so much.
50:27Oh my gosh.I don't want to continue.Should I hit the music?You've ruined the listener picks.We'll edit that out.We're going to edit that out.No, we're not.We're not.
50:39It's one of the best moments of the history of the show right there.I hate that picks so much.Oh, my gosh. They better not do, Steve's versus Mujib.Imagine in Toronto, too.Oh, my gosh. They better not do that in Toronto.I swear, no.
50:55I'm going to be there.I have to see that.Okay.Oh, I hope they do it so badly. We're doing a straight reaction video.to that match rate if it happens.Shove it in the meta apex, okay, just not here, man.
51:06Okay.Lucas Cortez,Lucas Cortes,likes Nalovers,Betski,Landwer should retire,I agree.He says retire or,
51:15and with all respect, like,we're not going to do happy trails yetbecause it's not official, but like I love Nate Landwer,I like his personality.I love watching your flight, but man,
51:22I just,I think we've got to step away.If he doesn't retire,how do you about feel about him?And Calvin Cater.Oh, okay.I like that fight.Yeah.
51:31Because I would assume, based on what I know, and it's not 100%, but I think it's cater,Cater has one fight left on his deal.Right.I assume he's not going to fight again after that. So, yeah, I actually really like that one.Feels like it could be a good double retirement, right?Yeah, I like it.Double, yes, last UFC fight.
51:50And Lucas wants a not no point because he had told me a while ago when I was trying tomatch up Fried Bachelat with Mario Batista, he had said that he thought Farid Bachelat wasmuch closer to being releasedthan getting a top 10opponent. Sure enough.Free Bachelorette, no longer in the UFC.I mean, not release, but no longer in the UFC.So, Lucas, you're not getting an out in a point,
52:10but I will give you the shout-out.You kind of called it.They were not interested in themoving Freed Bachelot up the rankingsor anywhere in the UFC at all.Wow. Yeah. Nice call.Twitter, DGB, Nalo versus King Green,Bakrillo versus Goteer,
52:27Christian Perez, Chai Herbert, Yasadavich,just Casey O'Neill, sure.Jay Black.Wait a second.Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.Whoa, whoa, what did I do?Wait a second.What?
52:38Did that person who, I mean, I respect this, by the way, after going out there and just melting her in Blanchefield, calling for a title shot, possibly deserving it, your reward is Casey O'Neil? Is that really?Well, Casey deserves a big fight, too, no?they've given her big fights and she lost those big fights. Then she took a lot of time off.Yes.And now she's going to work her way back up.Jasmine has done the work.
53:09She fought the Menons of the world and got finished in the first round and came back. And was a big underdog. But we're going to send her.No, you're not going to fight for the belt. But I'll tell you what I can do.I can give you Casey O'Neill.Oh my gosh. That's brutal.
53:23You think it should be Blanchefield. You think it did you said. You can do Blanchefield Casey O'Neil.Totally fine because Blanchfield is not in the title.discussion anymore.Yeah.Okay.Where was I?
53:33I got tripped up by looking at, okay.Mike, Jay Black,Jay Black,Malott versus Leon Edwards,Christian Perez versus Darius Flowers,Bechillo,Rizaboyev,Quamba,
53:42Saeed Nermagametteov,Nalo versus Gagee,yeah, good stuff.Finn Hamilton,Coslow versus,oh, I'm going to mess this name up.Obviously not,not Sue Young,
53:51you.Oh my gosh. Why did I not just read out the whole name? The other, the other you.to sang you,Ju Sangu.Yes, yes, yes, yes, just, just, just.
54:03Serminare versus Tracy Cortez.Fagler versus Thomas Peterson, because I'm not entirely convinced Fagler, isn't Thomas Peterson with a mustache. It's true, there's only one way to know. There's only one way to find out.Sure Dog's got to look into this.Sure dog does a really good job of finding out of fighters
54:15just fighting under different aliases. We may have seen that on Saturday. Not sure.Galante versus Valentin, Valentine, Bozer versusBozer versus Derek Lewis.I don't think they'll do it.No, they won't do it.I don't do it.
54:27He also wants now.on McKinney, no matter what happens at 334, and Cuombo, Jean Matsumoto.Four corner sports, Buckley versus Balal Muhammad.I like it.I just weirdly just don't think they're going to do it.Yeah, probably not.Yasidavishis versus Zhang Wei Li.Hear me out.
54:47He says, Mike, hear me out.I saw your, you made a face.Okay.So this I'm a little more intrigued by it.Oh, okay, good, good.Okay.If Zhang doesn't want to go back down to115, I feel like this is stylistically a good
55:00matchup for her against Jasmine. Jasmine has an L toat least read, of all people. Oh, that's right. And Zhang has a style that she can takeand control Jasmine down on the mats.If Jasmine wins, she has a majorname on her resume and can get a title shot next.I don't mind these matchups. It's just I really hopeZhang just fights McKinsey.
55:18Like, I just think the 125if she wants to do thatat least one more, give us one more titlefight at 115. But I don't likehate the logic behind this.Okay.So in a, I actually don't mind this. The Elise Reed comp is a little weird because if you actually, like, if you actually go back
55:35and watch that, excuse me, go back and watch that fight, uh, Jazz had clearly won that fight.Like clearly won that fight.Like home cooking to the nines, uh, happened at that event without question.Like there's robbery review. It would be determined. It was a robbery.Okay.But, too.
55:54I don't.So if Zhang's staying at 125but Val is staying at 125,then I really like this idea.I think this is really good.And I think if you're Jasmine,this is like,okay,
56:08Grasso is a great one, former champion, but Zhang Wei Li is like on the Mount Rushmoreof like greatest female fighters of all time.So I think that raises the stakes a little bit.But if Val doesn't come back and Zhang says it's at 125,then even poor Jasmine's getting jumped over hereand Zhang's going to fight Natty Ice.
56:24for the belt.So I like this better than the Casey O'Neill one, I will say.Okay.But yeah, I don't think it's going to happen.Let me go to F fraud.Okay, we got some interesting ones here.Buckley v. Holland 2, which I love.Jasadavs versus Rosenov and Eunice, the Battle of Lithuania.
56:42I feel like the ship has not sailed, Mike, but it is definitely the ship is out on a trip right now.It may come back to the dock someday and we can revisit this.I don't think makes a ton of sense for Jasadovius toby Rose right now.No.I don't see it.I don't see it.
56:57So someday, there's heat there, but there's heat there that I feel like is alwaysgoing to be on a simmer and can be can happen in a later date.So I don't, I don't mind it being brought up, but it's not next.Blanchefield versus Judees if she beats Barber.I almost need this just to see Jed would be so happy if this matchup was made. But also, if Blanchfield would have somehow beat Judice, it would be like one of the 10 mostcrushing losses of Jed's life.Especially if he bet on it
57:28because if Judee'sfavored, which shedon't, I don't think she would be, but if she, by some chanceshe were, I guarantee you he wouldclimb that like a MFER.Sheesh.The one that intrigued from F ride, I didn'twant to read it right away.
57:45Malat versus Shavkat.Dang.I just don't know what they're going to do with Shavkat. They could match him up with anyone in the top 10.would not be surprised um so i i have an idea of what the ufc wants to do at chafcott i don't knowif it's if it's done yet um that'd be that'd be sick though if they did that uh it's not mikemilot obviously um but they have an idea of what they would like to do with mr rock monoff so staytuned so intriguing okay uh barry o'reilly last one from jordy here uh chelsea chanely versus norma dumont
58:27that's that would be hilarious i just do it uh koslo versus adriano luna martinetti uh sermonaraversus regina tereen wow do we take one of the youngest prospects in the ufc and put her uplike a very very very very very tough veteran very experienced fighter i don't know i don't knowabout that i mean if you're if you're going to do it to any if you're going to match her upwith anybody like that it's probably her i don't think tureen's ready for thatAnd Trina's looked great.Treenas looked really great.I just don't know if that's, she's ready for that.
59:01Fagler versus Terrence Chapman. This one will not go to the judges.Quamba versus Ricky Simone.Man, Quamba looked that good on Saturday?Like a top 20 guy.I mean, Ricky's kind of falling off of it, has he not?I guess.I guess.
59:15I guess I'm still viewing him as, I don't know.Wait, what happened with Montel Jackson?Didn't he win?No, he got obliterated.Oh, my God.I guess I think, I'll tell you something.I'm pretty sure I did not watch that card.Yeah, he got Montel bad.
59:30Oh, man, he hasn't won since last year, eh?Wow, I forgot. He's on a little bit of a winless streak.Damn.Yeah, you know what?Maybe it is Kwambor versus Ricky Simone.Okay.All right, let's wrap up with the trio here from Instagram.
59:41J.B.Yastavs versus Wong, sure.Christian Perez, Mahas Chate.Let's jump in there.Kwanba versus Mark Volog then.I actually like that a lot.Bakio versus Bruno Faheda.I actually like that a lot.
59:54Chelsea Chandler, Norokinol.Very solid picks, Jimmy.very solid. Harry Newhouse. What are we got here?Quamba, Rina Nakamura.Okay. Nalo, Mike Davis.Yeah, that's kind of the Mason Jones area. I like that.Galante versus Gilbert Rubina.
01:00:08Galante minus 900.Surminara versus Miranda Maverick. This is an interesting one because I think we just saw Miranda is competing atREF coming up, right? She is.And she's going to get beat real bad.But yeah, she is back. She's competing in RIA.
01:00:25Yeah.back in some form of competition. She had a child, obviously last year.So anytime a fighter has a child, I always wonder. You know, some are like, these fighters are incredible athletes. Some of them get, I remember I think Tisha Pennington, I swear it was like not long aftershe gave birth, I think within like six months she came back, which to me sounded insane. But again, I'm no.
01:00:43She, that's an, you know, top, top shelf athlete. And Miranda Maverick also I would consider a very athletic person. So maybe she's ready for a fight again.I know it's different, a wrestling match. But by the time, Caitliner is ready to fight again.I think that's okay, actually. That makes a lot of sense. And then let me wrap up with Thomas Collins here.
01:01:01Milotly on Edwards, UFC London, 27.So no home date for Mike Maloney's saying, but he would get a former UFC champion.Probably a more favorable matchup than like Michael Morales and JDM, maybe.Buckley versus Radkechie if he beats Wonderboy at USC 334.I don't think that's...Oh, I like that.Yeah, I don't think he's going to do that, though.
01:01:22Bozer versus Shara, Sir Minara, Jessica,I'm Josh toNate LandwerMike Perry BKFCOh damnI just don't know if I want to see NateNoMike would
01:01:36clobber himThat couldMight be quiteMike would be quite a bigger as wellYeah Mike's basically a middle weight nowYeahBut I like the idea ThomasLike I like the idea that you know
01:01:46Landward go to BKFC or LandwardYou knowWe find a way to get more fights for himBecause I do love I do love watching this guy fightBut if he never fights againafter Saturday, I would be okay with that as well.Yeah.I, yeah, don't do that.
01:02:00That's real bad. That's real bad.I'm curious to see where Mike comes back.I think Dave Feldman did some media and said,I think they might be done with the Mike Perry business. So we'll see. We'll see how that all plays out.But that is UFC Edmonton.
01:02:15That is wrapped impact.I don't think we'll be talking about that much more. But golly, let me tell you something about UFC 333.This just scratches me right where I it,okay. This is what we're looking for. This is just to ask for something close to this, apparently is a sin amongst MMA fans right now,or at least a small percentage of them.
01:02:39This main event, Alexander Volkovsky versus Moser of Lov.I have no idea what's going to happen.Tremendousous stuff.Piotr Yon versus Rob Dwellis, really three.I think I know what's going to happen, but I'm not as confident as I am with most of thefights. What a great fight.Peyrean versus Marabdoz, really, it's going to settle
01:02:56the rivalry. One guy is going tobe champion, maybe be the Bannamweightgoat, and the other dude is just out of it.Just gonzo. It's crazythe stakes in this fight.Lonnie Kavanaugh, Ramazan Tamaroff.Great fight. Alexander Volkov, feelinghosed by the UFC,
01:03:15feeling he should be fighting for the heavyweightchampionship of the world. Taking on Rizvon Kunev. The main card opener. Is Aaron Pico versus Locene Kaeda?Holy crapola, what a fight that is.Dominic Reyes versus Osmet Mersakana, high stakes fight.Nikita Kralov versus your boy, Abdul Yaqqiyayev.Great matchmaking right there.
01:03:40The future goat. The future goat. This fight is so good and no one's talking about it.A boost maga made up versus Cam Raustin.Cam Rauston might be like the most underrated guy on the roster. The dark horse. The dark horse of 185.Grant Dawson versus Nerulo Aliev, high stakes lightweight matchup.
01:03:57Colby thickness versus a soft chopper off.Oh my God.That fights an absolute heater. With every five heaters, you get a Jacob Malkoon fight. He takes on Abu Bakar Vajiaf. The man, Jacob Malcolm, he's middle lady.He sure is.He sure is.
01:04:14For life. You got to make sure we spread out the emotional highs and lows here.Daniel Santos versus Balajai Oki.Oh, that's good.Lee.Yasmin Lucindo versus Nicole Kaliari.I don't even remember that being on the car, but that's what's super fun. That was literally just announced, I think, like yesterday.
01:04:31And Noah Gugnionnion versus Cody Steele is on this card.Mike, what Cody Steele are we going to get?Are we going to get the Cody Steele who actually can grapple like we saw on his lastfight?Or we were going to get stand and bang, Cody.I don't care about my jiu-jitsu black belt.Let's swing up.Love him.
01:04:47We're getting that guy.I was just talking to Annick about the card last week. And that's a big drop in an MEP fight. But even Anik was like, dude,Cody Stale, Noah Gugnian is the main,is the card opener right now. That might be the fight of the night.Oh, yeah.
01:05:05I mean, this card is spectacular. It is tremendous. So we'll be all obviously covering that all week.We got R.F 14 this week.I'll be heading out to Vegas on Tuesday.Big live show on Wednesday in Las Vegas.Big stream. We'll be talking to everybody, Armin,
01:05:21Hamza, Dylan, Danis.Bel-A-Mere, Brendan Allen, probably the head honchos.Like, it's just going to be, I think, a five-hour show. And we're just going to go.And whoever wants to come talk, we're going to talk to them.So it's going to be a lot of fun.Stay tuned for times and when that's all going to go down.
01:05:38But, yeah, big week coming up.UFC 333, R.F14, and everything else going on in M8Fighting.com's great website.Make sure you download the app, the SB Nation app.We had a blast last night.Watching UFC Edmonton will do the same throughout the week as well. So, AK, good to see you, my best friend.and to all of you, live show next week,of on to the next one.
01:05:57Thank you for watching or listeningbecause you'll be watching next week.Bye, bye, bye, everybody.
