Hey morning wire listeners. This is Daily Wire reporter Lyndon Blake. We have breaking news in the Nancy Guthrie case. So we're bringing you the latest episode of Finding Nancy Guthrie, a Daily Wire true crime investigation. Building up over a grueling 10 days, there have been a series of rapid fire breaks in this case, starting with authorities detaining a person for questioning in connection to the disappearance of 84-year-old grandmother Nancy Guthrie and Rio Rico, Arizona. TMZ is reporting activity inside the Bitcoin wallet listed in Nancy Guthrie's ransom note. So about 12 minutes ago, we saw activity in that account. Activity like what? That's what I can't talk about. There are reasons I can't. And a terrifying video of an armed intruder covered in a ski mask has been released by the FBI for Nancy's front door camera. As authorities track suspects,

Is this amateur hour, a professional criminal, or someone close to the family? I think that the evidence points to familiarity. The track record of kidnapping cases, I think, is over 90% people who are familiar with the family, a family friend, a family member. What does Savannah Guthrie think of this new video? Is there a chance her mother is still alive? And today, a pizza delivery driver just walked up to Nancy's front door to drop off a pizza without deputies even noticing. What is going on with this crime scene?

I'm Lyndon Blake and this is Finding Nancy Guthrie, a daily wire true crime investigation. We're in the late hours of Tuesday, February 10th, day 10 in the search for Nancy Guthrie. And this evening, we have had so many updates in this case. It all started with that big break, that footage from the doorbell camera on Nancy's front porch of that, masked armed suspect that came out earlier Tuesday. But since then, guys, there's been a person detained for questioning in relation to the Nancy Guthrie case. This is huge. We have reports

from Fox that this person has already been taken back to Pima County, which tells me this is more than just a, hey, let's talk to you real quick. They want to get this person back in Pema County, which leads me to believe there is more there to the story. We know since this person was detained, it happened in Rio Rico. This is a town south of Tucson, about 12 miles from the Mexico border. This happened during a traffic stop. But since all of this, we've learned a location in Rio Rico is now being searched from a court-ordered search warrant in relation to the Nancy Guthrie case. Another huge development. Things are happening as the night continues to roll on, and this all again happened after that big break, that person. We've said it and we'll continue to

say it. When you have footage that clear, and we're going to get into that footage in a little bit, and we're going to dissect it frame by frame, but that is clear footage. And someone's going to recognize that person in the footage, and it seems like the authorities were given so many tips to follow up on after that footage went public that FBI director Cash Patel put out. Also, there were SWAT team vehicles that rapidly picked up, left the sheriff's department, and since that person was detained, we know that a lot of those SWAT vehicles have been brought back to the station. So it seems like the mission was clear. They were heading down south of Tucson to Rio Rico to find someone and detain someone for questioning.

Now, I want to be clear, this is not a suspect. There is no charges in this case. This is someone that has been detained being described as a subject for questioning in relation to the Nancy Guthrie case. But again, a huge development in addition to the Bitcoin activity. We have learned that TMZ and KGUN, two of the three outlets that were seen, that first ransom note have reported activity inside that Bitcoin wallet who had that Bitcoin address listed in the ransom note. KGUN said the amount was less than $300, but they can

visibly see activity in that wallet. This is huge. We know the ransom was $6 million in Bitcoin. The final deadline was Monday at 5. We don't know if this was a test amount. We don't know if this amount was sent yesterday. And it takes a little bit to show up in the Bitcoin wallet, but a huge development on that part of the investigation. And of course, we have got to get to this terrifying video coming from Nancy Guthrie's front doorbell camera. We have a treasure chest of information after FBI director Cash Patel released photos and multiple videos of an armed person tampering with the doorbell camera on Nancy's front door. This is terrifying.

The guy, ski mask, he had a backpack that was packed. I mean, you think about a backpack just absolutely packed to the rim with stuff, gloves on, and comes up to the door. And he spends a lot of time messing with the kids. camera. In the images, there are things that immediately stuck out to me. And it's terrifying, but you can look directly into this person's eyes. And I'm going to say person, but we can all assume it's a man. And the FBI has said to a local station that was inquiring about this, that it was a man. So there hasn't been officially in a statement like, this is a man. But just so you guys know,

the FBI referred to this person as a him. So I'm going to assume. we're talking about a man here. But you're looking at this man's eyes. He's looking directly in the camera. And you can see a lot about his eye shape, his eyebrows, clear as day on this doorbell camera. And then you see in another picture, a mustache. You see some facial hair there that, you know,

not completely a full picture because obviously there's a ski mask, but it's there and you can see it. But what is so telling to me is the video that was released, and I mean clear video, 27 seconds of it, where you see this man walking around Nancy Guthrie's front porch area. In these photos, what sticks out to me, a very visible, reflective backpack. And then you can see holding in one of these photos in the person's left hand, he has his hand. on a gun there in the holster FBI experts saying it's a semi-automatic there just directly in front on his front side there in his left hand. And from this photo, you can assume that he may be right-handed

based on the way the guns facing in the holster. The handle of the guns pointed towards his right-hand, meaning when he pulls it out with his right hand, it's right there at the handle, but just to give you a picture. But so we know he's armed, has a gun there on his waist, no telling what's in the backpack, but a very reflective, distinctive backpack, which comes up even more so in the video. And the video is incredible to me. When we first got the tip on Tuesday that this video is going to be released or footage, rather, it just says from surveillance. And in my head, I'm thinking it could be anything. It could be from a gas station, red light camera, you name it. But this is from the video, from the doorbell that was...

disconnected at 147 on Nancy Guthrie's front door. So in the video, you see him take his right hand and almost tap on the camera. And then he's trying to cover it up. He's finangling with it a little bit. And then he turns around where you get a clear look at his backpack. And he walks. You can get a clear look at his gate. And then he goes over.

off the front step there and picks up grass from a bush. And in another video that Cash would help it out, he takes this grass, the person at the front door, and he's trying to cover up the camera with it. And that was really confusing to a lot of people. Like, okay, well, the guy had been thinking, well, I can't do what I need to do with this camera without my face glaring into it, as we saw in the photos.

So now he went back out and got some grass and trying to camouflage the lens of the camera while he tries to disconnect it. But cannot stress enough, he walks through the archway on this front porch where you can take stills of this, and obviously this is what investigators are doing and trying to figure out how tall this person is. but when these photos and videos came out, Casper Tal was like, look at them, study them, study the backpack, try to figure out who this person is,

look at the way they walk, look at the shoes. And of course, now these images have come public. That's exactly what people are doing. People are saying, oh, his foot looks to be this size. Oh, those pants look like 5-11 cargo pants, which 5-11 is a store, and there's a lot of stores there in Arizona. Just going through the wheelhouse of who this is,

could be and huge break in the investigation because I was talking to experts about this and they all agree. But once you get something to look at, even if it's a masked photo, someone at home is going to know who this is. They've had an inkling over the last 10 days. Hmm, it wouldn't shock me if so-and-so was involved. Just that gut, icky feeling. But, it's a little bit. But Now you have these images and videos where someone's like, oh my goodness, I've seen that reflective backpack before. Or that looks like so-and-so call the tip line. That is what this is going to do. Cash Retail said that they worked with private companies to get this footage.

Because again, remember, this was the camera where originally Pima County Sheriff Chris Nano said that there was no subscription. And they didn't give up hope. And we said that. You know, he said, right now we don't have images. but were not ruling that out. They had to go through private companies. They had to work with Nest and Google and all these companies to go back on this server

and get these images. A huge break in the case cannot state it enough how important this is to figuring out who did this. Now, I do want to point out, this is from all the images and videos are from the same camera. We know there was a camera taken off the roof on Friday the FBI agents have.

So expect more images to come out. I think that, you know, right now is this one person in this image and these videos. And this could be a one person operation, a one person situation that abducted Nancy Guthrie from her home in the middle of the night. But I'm interested to see if on other camera angles we get another look if there was anyone outside waiting for this person, if there was any coordination, and hopefully that will come out soon. Another good thing about getting video images, this is where you start to put the puzzle together. I talked to a former FBI special agent, Michael Easter, and he said this is when the trail starts where you can backtrack the information, and he says, this case may prove to not be so complicated

now that we're working with an image of a suspect. I mean, I've seen other cases where people just sort of get a feeling that person moves or kind of had a similar jacket or a pair of shoes to somebody they knew. So, yeah, are there going to be leads that come in from individuals? Absolutely. I think you're going to start seeing those types of things. But is it going to be an immediate recognition of somebody? I don't know. I think time will tell.

But I definitely would think there's hope for taking this unidentified. subject and turning them into an identified subject. So NBC did report that the Guthrie family doesn't recognize a person in this video. Savannah almost instantly shared the FBI footage on her Instagram. And the message to me was telling she still stood by her claim that she believes her mom's alive and she believes her mom is out there. And now that we have this footage, these images, this video, now the investigators can start putting together the trail. They have the reflective backpack, shoes, who walks like this?

They have this person on video and now they can start looking days prior, a week prior, at other places around town for someone that matches this description and you start building out the path leading up to the moment that this person's on Nancy Guthrie's front porch. It is so helpful when you have who you're looking for and you can start building out the story, and in the case doesn't seem so complicated. When you know who you're looking for, you can get to an answer very quickly. I want to remind you guys, the beginning of this investigation, the biggest thing was Nancy Guthrie needs her medicine. She needs her medicine to survive. She can't go 24 hours without her medicine. I talked to former Arizona sheriff in Pineau County, Mark Lamb.

He has decades of experiences covering cases like this. And I asked him about the medication. because that's the one big question mark that we don't have. I guess I should say what a many big question marks that we don't know in this case. But has Nancy been taking her medicine? Listen to his insight. So they allude to the fact that it makes you feel like they did not take the medication. But nobody had a pill count of how many pills were in those bottles before. So it's possible they took some of them, a handful of those pills.

Maybe they didn't take the bottles, but maybe they took the pills with some of them. maybe that's what took so long in the house. I don't know, but we can't definitively say that she doesn't have her medications. We can potentially say that it doesn't look like she does, but we really don't know. We don't have a pill count before versus what it is at now if they did indeed leave them behind. So there you have it. There's no true clarity on the medication, but again, Savannah Guthrie says she believes her mom is still alive. And on the ground right now, you have Pima County Surgeon Rescue.

vehicles, you have FBI going door to door in the brush area all in Annie Guthrie's neighborhood, which is about 15 minutes away from Nancy Guthrie's house. And I brought in former FBI special agent Michael Easter to ask him, after these videos have been released in this footage of this person at Nancy's house, what they could be looking for in any Guthrie's neighborhood. My belief would be that given that they now have this recovered video, whether they just developed it or it was developed, you know, maybe days prior to us seeing it, there's always that point in the investigational process where we are going to go back and double check with residents about maybe an updated timeline or a better description of the type of individual we're looking for

and maybe reviewing potential for, even though they maybe didn't record their cameras, the similar process that was done here, which is we're going to engage the back-end system with some computer forensics to recover artifacts that may not even been preserved. So, yeah, I would be looking for that. And then ultimately, sadly,

I'd be considering that they're now looking for the possibility of identifying places where her remains could be. So to me, this person in this video footage, even though didn't seem too prepared to dismount a camera, there just seemed to be no sense of urgency. He's just kind of walking towards it, walking back, or turning around, let me go get this bush, seemed very comfortable in that moment, not really worried anyone would see him or he would get caught. So that brings back to who would feel comfortable doing this to 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie? Who would have the whereabouts on how to get the windy roads go up to her house? And something that I asked Sheriff Mark Lamb about was the timeline, because there's so many questions that what we know to be true is that timeline where that camera was dismounted,

147 a.m. and Nancy's pacemaker wasn't disconnected to 228. To me, that seems they weren't in a hurry inside the house either, no sense of urgency. And so I asked Sheriff Lamb his thoughts on that. I think that the evidence points to familiarity. The track record of kidnapping cases, I think, is over 90%. People who are familiar with the family, a family friend, a family member. I've been consistent on that. I think those are the strongest leads. Those are where you would look.

And it's probably likely based on statistics that that's going to be who is involved in this case. I know it hurts feelings. I know people don't like it. But that's not, our job is to find, you know, Nancy or to whatever crime we're trying to solve or to find evidence or to find the suspects or the criminals. That's what our job is. And unfortunately, it hurts feelings along the way. We're not in the business of good optics and a lot of what we do.

And so I've always said that I thought that the family is the most. And what leads me to believe that is familiarity in a very dark area of where the camera was. about, you know, where the house is located in and around those windy roads, how long they were in the house. There's a lot that goes into that. So meanwhile, back at Nancy Guthrie's house on Tuesday, February 10th, day 10 of the search, you have a pizza boy that went up to this door to deliver a pizza. It's still not secure. The crime scene is still not secure. And yes, it's still being called a crime scene by the Pima County Sheriff's Office.

Because the pizza thing was so absurd to reporters there on the scene to watch that Pima County had to address it. They said, we can't believe we have to say this, but media on scene. Police do not order food delivery to a crime scene address. This interferes with an active investigation. Please also respect private property laws. Thank you. If it's still a crime scene address, secure it. That's been people's biggest just thing.

With this whole thing, you take it down Monday, and Amazon driver's up there. There's blood on the front porch, no suspect or person of interest, and people are being able just to go up, come and go as they please. So Pizza Man gets to the front door. of Nancy Guthrie's home, but Jake Tapper gets kicked off for being too close to the property because he was standing on some grass. So it's just chaos. It really is chaos in Tucson. And you can laugh at some of the stuff, like how does a pizza person do this? But at the end of the day,

this is really serious. And the biggest break in the case did happen today with that footage and video, but there's so many questions that need to be answered, and I just think the whole scene around Nancy Guthrie's home needs to be tightened up. We're going to continue to follow any new developments on these images. I hope they lead to a definitive suspect. What I mean by that is a name, something of clear picture that we get. Maybe we get a clearer picture from other cameras that were taken from the home. And like Savannah said, someone knows who that person is.
