Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an IHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Didn't catch the latest Roland Martin unfiltered podcast? Here's what you missed. People wake up and go, oh, damn, wait a hold up. They change all of that. Yes. It's real.
Starting point is 00:00:14 This is a wholesale attack. It is targeting black people in every federal agency. It's raw. White folks have never allowed that reckoning to last more than a decade. Catch Roland Martin's daily commentary on the Black Information Network. And download Roland Martin unfiltered on a lot. the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Welcome back to our yearly... I think about to say a year and wrap-up. No, no, no, no. This is our yearly quota to prove to the podcast world that we support the West Coast. We have this gentleman on once a year. Every three months. Just to prove to y'all that we fuck with the West Coast.
Starting point is 00:01:28 I'm the talking West Coast. Every three months, you got to have reason. Just pull up. Listen, man. Anytime someone on Twitter says I'm like, look, we fucking. I'm not promoting. He's just in town fucking around.
Starting point is 00:01:42 We just told him, listen, man, we got to meet our yearly quota. Should I just put something out? Like, we have to prove to the people. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Happy birthday. Thank you, man. Clap it up for another year.
Starting point is 00:01:54 Another year, man. Know where we from, Rees. It ain't really. Yeah, you know, nakes don't really make it. Yeah, we don't really, you know what I'm saying? Happy birthday to me too. I didn't even have plans to be here right now. So anything after this is icing on.
Starting point is 00:02:05 the cake. Yo, you, I don't know if you're joking and I'm fucking joking. He was definitely joking. No, but the reason why I say that is because when people ask me that like, yo, did you, I'm like, bro, I couldn't see this far.
Starting point is 00:02:19 No. Like, I did not think 25 years down the line. I moved out of South Central and grew up in Carson, and I was good after that. Once I moved out of South Central, it was like the age got to like, I hope that double, that double your top. 75.
Starting point is 00:02:33 What you got out of Compton? Once I moved on 57th, 55th and Fing, I was like, oh, yeah, we can get there. Yeah, we can get there. We can get there for sure, for show. Let me guess every teacher told you you wasn't going to be shit, huh? You know, you get what I'm saying? They told me I wasn't going to be shit, but, you know, look at me now. Has a teacher ever told you that?
Starting point is 00:02:50 I actually did that one teacher tell me that. But I deserved it, though. I deserved it. I was, me and my brother was, like, switching classes and fucking around and shit like that. I, like, fake the seizure. If I had an identical to, I would have. I did. I did.
Starting point is 00:03:00 I did. I fake to seizure in class. Yeah, so I was like, I deserve. I'm on the teacher side. Yeah, I deserve that one. Like, fake one right now. How you fake one right now? I'm not about to do it right now.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Like, how you fake shoes is crazy. I like fell out on the floor and started shaking and shit. And then he put a mezzoes in his mouth and drank some Coca-Cola and it started foaming everywhere. And then they like ran out to go get the security and then I just left class. But was there like a, you just didn't feel like learning that day or? I was just, I was done with my shit. And like, I don't know if you had this out there. But we used to have double periods where like one day you do one, three and five.
Starting point is 00:03:31 And that's what you do two. So like your class is like double. long. So I was done with all my shit and I wanted to leave. And so I did it. And then when he ran out to get the security, I just left. How did you land on seizure? I guess that's what I'm getting it. Honestly, it was my homeboy's idea. And I don't know why I didn't think it was a bad
Starting point is 00:03:44 idea. Like when he said it, I reacted like that's it. That's the way that's the way to get out of here. My last question is, how long did you think about how you were going to act when you had the seizure? Or was it impulse? It was like, I'm on the ground. It was like impulsed. Like he said it and then like 30 seconds later I was
Starting point is 00:04:03 the ground like shaking. Maybe that's why I shouldn't be a teacher because I wouldn't look at that kid and say you ain't going to be shit. I'm like, ah, you got potential. Yeah, we need to put him in theater. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? You got to lean him towards there. Lead them towards like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:17 You should fast be. I'd overthink that and like be scared that the teacher would stab me someone else's EpiPen and then I'm trying to actually save you. If I had an identical twin, I would probably switch classes. We switched classes a lot and we didn't stop doing. until I failed a test for all. But we switch classes. Oh yeah, that's when it's like,
Starting point is 00:04:36 yo, come on, come on. Yeah. No, my, man. I want to be me. No, my. Yeah, I could have went to class and got that great. But to be fair, though,
Starting point is 00:04:43 like, we didn't know was attested. So I was, like, completely caught off guard. Did you ever do something like, one day, one of y'all completely didn't go to school
Starting point is 00:04:50 and then show up as in that year? Yeah, we did that too. Like, so, like, my brother went, like, one time to go, like, fuck with this girl and I could afford to miss the classes, but he could. I thought that was great to go somewhere else.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Yeah. No, no, no, no. You said, my brother went to go fuck with this girl. I was like, I don't think we should say that on camera. No. Qualifies his rape. Yeah. I don't think we should say that.
Starting point is 00:05:10 He went to go fuck with a girl, but like when you play sports, you got to, like, game day, you got to go to a certain amount of your classes. But he was going to fuck with a girl. So I hit his classes that day. Okay. So that he could play in the game. Okay. Gotcha. Yeah, so I hit his classes.
Starting point is 00:05:23 I know. But I think that's what he's cool. Yeah. Like, I'm supposed, well, he got a game. Yeah. I got a twin sister. It wouldn't work for us. If you put a wig on.
Starting point is 00:05:31 We don't look at right. Yes, y'all do, bro. The marriage is just be saying shit. They do. Y'all do look like, especially when y'all were younger. They don't look. Obviously, that was a joke, but y'all do look a lot alike. I would hope so.
Starting point is 00:05:43 We're twins. I would hope we look alike. But me putting on a wig and they're like, Yamala, what up? That's not going to happen. Like, not even the looks. Jamala. Jamala. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Yeah. I actually didn't know that until the last time I was out here in New York. when you told me to trade a twin. I didn't know that. I try to keep that. We're outnumbered, Marisol. You're outnumbered, Maris. You're niggas is a twin.
Starting point is 00:06:01 You niggas is gay. I saw that post the other day. It was like, it was like, if you were an adult and got a twin, like, why is it a nigga, like, why is it looking like you? Yes, like. That's funny as fuck. It's hilarious. Like, I can't help it.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Like, the nigga is alive. My sister is fine. Like, brother's sister twin is fine as an adult, but two, like, another man looking exactly like, the nigga is alive. Like, what I'm a dude? Alive doing well. Doing well. Like, you know, he's successful.
Starting point is 00:06:29 You get what I'm saying? Like, what I'm gonna do? To him, you gay. That's funny. That shit is hilarious. He almost ruined our friendship. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I saw him out at the bar. I was like, reason just ignore me in New York. Like, this is crazy. Oh, that's how you, like met his brother? Yeah. He knew I had a twin, but he ran him. And it was funny because I was supposed to be coming out to New York like three days after that.
Starting point is 00:06:48 So he just figured like, oh, he got in early. You get him saying? And my brother just like was not, not fucking what I was not. Because like. Oh, you know. Your brother don't know Rory at all? He does, but he don't know him well enough to where if he's drunk at a bar, like they never met.
Starting point is 00:07:01 And where he's drunk at a bar and then he just walked by a random white person. He don't. Any white person in Manhattan. Yeah. And it was like a dirty dive bar like some event or whatever. Yeah, like I don't even know how they ran into each other. Yeah, that was weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:14 But I mean, Rory hit me. He was like, are you in New York? He was like, and no, I don't think all black people look alike. And I'm like, but then Rosie had also hit me. So that's when I put it together. I'm like, oh, my brother's out there. they must be with him, you know what I'm saying? Like, so yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Okay. Has that ever happened where someone thought it was you? That's how I know you couldn't gang back in L.A. It's happened. It's happened our whole life. I've been on stage and like there's been fans that have been like pressing my brother for a picture, which makes no sense. You guys do.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Which makes no sense. I'm on stage. No, but like you're like, fuck how much we look. I'm on stage. Like, yeah. Like it's not like I'm about to come out on stage. I'm on stage. Yeah, but I mean, it's only for the photo.
Starting point is 00:07:54 If I could post the phone. photo, no one's the wise. No, they're like telling him like he's lying. I get what I'm saying? You started this with the prestige. That's like. It's crazy. You never thought about doing a video with your brother? Like, I have actually. I wanted to, I wanted to do a video and I wanted to do
Starting point is 00:08:08 my last PR run. I was out here when I did the breakfast club. I wanted him to start the interview, but he didn't get in town until like 6 p.m. And we had to meet them. Oh, you wanted to like, I wanted to go in there first and do like the first 10 minutes of the interview and then coming there afterwards. And like I had actually set it up
Starting point is 00:08:24 but like the, whoever the event, like the interviews, the other person is and everything. But his flight got delayed, and he didn't get into like six. Oh, that was pretty cool. Yeah, I wanted him to come in
Starting point is 00:08:33 and do like the first 10 minutes. And I mean, he has an interesting story as is too. So like once y'all both sat down. Because he's with the Ravens. Exactly. He's with the Ravens, exactly. And he was with USC.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Yeah, he was with USC, Oregon. He coached Oregon, SC, Arizona State. And then they throw him under the bus and got him fired for some coaching shit and whatnot. This is when Hermet was there. There's a lot of shit that he can, he either,
Starting point is 00:08:54 can or can. Judging by the things you guys in high school, maybe it was his fault? Well, this wasn't, this actually wasn't his fault. So he'll probably pull up here at some point. You get what I'm saying? And y'all can like double the quota,
Starting point is 00:09:05 then you don't got to do it every three months. Like whenever you can't be here, exactly. You haven't come here. Yeah, send them to. Or you never got called cheating and told somebody, and so Shorty was your twin? Not cheating because like, if you with me,
Starting point is 00:09:16 you should know the difference. But I have, like, been out somewhere and it's been like a girl I was talking to and I, like, pull it to like, I'm out of town. I don't know what you're talking about. No, you got to do that. You can get that off.
Starting point is 00:09:27 You can get that off. That's, oh, hell. Yeah, that ain't, that ain't me. Yeah, that's, my brother like a motherfucker. You're bugging. I was in the bed. Yeah, like, I'm out of town. Hey, me.
Starting point is 00:09:37 I don't even know what you're talking about. Mm-hmm. Does his wife ever get, like, weirded out that there's two of him? No, but like, like, if we say something, like, if we're both in the house and we say, and I say something that he normally says, sometimes she'll hear me saying and she'll, ugh. Like, that's like, like, it's, like, like, Like, I have to shake off the weird shit more. Like, a quick second.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Like, had to get that shit out. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because she's like, what the fuck? Like, you know what the fuck? Like, that shit is weird. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:10:10 Or, like, she'll see me from the back of the head and be like, babe. And then I'll turn around. She'll be, oh, that's fucking nasty. That's fucking nasty. You think you'll have twins? I hope so. I hope so. But my brother also had an abortion,
Starting point is 00:10:25 where the girl had an abortion when he was like 14. Oh, Jesus Christ. You tell him that me a bitch. That's okay. You don't care, man. I know what he care about. Yeah. Was it a double homicide or?
Starting point is 00:10:35 It was, that's what I'm saying. It was twin. It was twin. I stole that from, I stole that from Jocelyn's Cabernet. Just relax. Just calm your head.
Starting point is 00:10:44 It was twins, though. It was so I kind of feel like he got that one out, like the twins that was supposed to come. I don't know if that's how it works. I don't know either, but I just have to take a shot in the dark and say, Maybe. It's funny because all of my homeboys, like, two of my best friends growing up, they both have twins now.
Starting point is 00:10:59 That's crazy. Are they twins? No. So they just randomly had twins. Okay, got you. See, in my family, like, so my dad has twin brothers. And then I think it skipped a generation before that with my grandpa on them, but like my greats, there was twins there. So it runs in the family. It does run in the family.
Starting point is 00:11:17 So when the abortion thing happened, I'm like, maybe that was really, that was really it. That was the lineage. That was probably, yeah, so it was probably like quiet until. Or that was skipped for you. Exactly. So then when he has kids. Or it could be like Final Destination. Like when you cheat death, it's going to hit somebody.
Starting point is 00:11:34 That's correct. No, that's what? That's, maw. No, I'm saying. Like, I didn't have the twins. So it's like, yo, you got, you got to have them. Yeah. Like, when I have kids, I get there.
Starting point is 00:11:45 You don't have them. Yeah. Because your brother. I would take this. I would prefer twin boys, but I'd be just happy with healthy twins. Regardless. You know, you know, you know what's going to have. happen now that you said that.
Starting point is 00:11:53 I know, I know, I know. Life is over. But it's also cool. Girls are also cool now because you can actually make money in college. Like with sports. I didn't know if I was going to look at it that way. But okay. I understand what you say.
Starting point is 00:12:05 That's like a big thing for me. Like a big thing for me is like, I want my kids to play sports. And like now the NIA is like cracker. And now they're like making stupid bread. So it's like it's not just a waste of money like he used to be. Right. Like training your kid like as a daughter in basketball. It was a seal.
Starting point is 00:12:20 It was like you just throwing money out the window. You were just ruining their. childhood for nothing for what a hundred thousand dollars a year yeah in a side job right but they could actually make like really really good money now yeah no that's true so it's not that i didn't think about it like that but okay yeah so we should only have boys all right cool yes i only be boy dads i mean why is hyper ovulation on the screen ryan you just be looking up anything well can we can we look up uh how much amar would make in college volleyball that's it's a joke but like they like juju at c oh yeah She made more to every male basketball player at SE.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Yeah, I believe that for sure. Like, Juju really bred it out. Amar's 3 ain't as taller than every four-year-old around her. I don't know. Yeah, yeah. Trying to tell you, man. 15% of women's volleyball counts for roughly 15% of all NIL deals secured by female collegiate athletes ranking behind women's basketball and gymnasium.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Get her in tennis, bro. Tennis. You got to move to Florida for that. The NIO ain't busting yet in tennis. So then she got to go. Because they don't, college tennis, they do juniors and go straight to the league. That's what I'm saying. And they got to go pro.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Yeah, you got to pick a sport where like even if she don't reach her selling, she still makes some bread. So basketball, basically. Basketball or volleyball. They make good money in volleyball. Yeah, they make good money in volleyball. Look at y'all trying to think about pimping. Or surprisingly, for sure. You have to pimp your kids out.
Starting point is 00:13:42 What is the point of having kids? I don't have a job yet. Yeah. Like, she gets out at 2.30. You have the whole day. Like, go do something. Sorry for you. So much time.
Starting point is 00:13:51 What are you doing? Why are you on start her a YouTube channel? I'm not going to lie. I'm doing all that shit with my kids. My kids are going to be the most cornyest burnt out niggas. They're doing everything. We're going to figure it out. What's the TikTok dance today?
Starting point is 00:14:08 Get the dancing. So y'all going to be the picture. So what's different between those parents and the pageant parents? I'm someone that has never even posted their child. No, I'm not saying you. I'm just saying like, but what's the difference between what y'all is saying? and then back in the 90s when it was like pageantry. That's a really great point.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Everything now is acceptable pageant parents. Whereas those people were like John Bonae Ramsey. Like that's the only outcome that's going to happen. Because there's a lot of sexualization that comes with pageantry. You have little girls. It's weird to me. It's always been weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:38 And I hate to damper the mood though, but I'm sure there's a lot of pedophiles watching your children dance. For sure. Oh, yeah, for sure. But there's people who play into that. There's people, and also not to damper the mood, but there's people who have caught backlash because they'll, like make their children eat in ways that a pedophile would be...
Starting point is 00:14:54 Yeah, it's weird shit. I actually watch a documentary on that which is crazy. So it may look innocent to somebody who's not a pedophile, but like, why are you putting like things that are in the shape of penises near your child's mouth? Like, why is your kid sucking on a cucumber? It's back to volleyball. Yeah. Yeah, it's people who do weird and shit.
Starting point is 00:15:13 But yeah, my kid doing everything. I'm going to be Joe Rees sitting there with the belt. Get in line. Wrap the wraps, nigga. Listen, man, Joe Jackson got it right. That's what I'm saying. Y'all give a lot of... What is the difference between Joe Jackson and LeVar Ball?
Starting point is 00:15:27 I don't know. But I'm saying, like, they both aggressive parents, a little bit of salt in their kids successful. This has always been my thing with the Joe Jackson type parent. Clearly it worked for him. But that's a 0.001% where there's thousands of parents like that and their kid doesn't amount to shit and now just has trauma for the rest of their...
Starting point is 00:15:49 That was before TikTok. Not every kid is Syrinel Williams. There's one Michael Jackson. It's oversaturated, though. That's another thing. It changes it, but it's oversaturated. Because now there's nothing special because there's so many. That's true.
Starting point is 00:16:03 But my kid going to have bars. Like, he's going to be like tripled. I heard that. He's going to be like triple syllable shit like at the age. You wouldn't want your son to rap? I wouldn't like necessarily want him to rap, but like we're going to get this bread. You think like the average election? 11 year old is going to really be into entangers at that time?
Starting point is 00:16:23 No, but the internet is going to be like, whoa. It's kind of crazy. He's kind of nice. He got a nice. He's kind of nice. I'm going to raise him in New York, put him in some Tims in a hoodie. Yeah, man, I just hope baby grunk, like, I hope he makes it. Because if not, he's going to have a lot of problems to unpack if he just, if he goes D3,
Starting point is 00:16:43 like, was it all worth it? He's doing good. No, he's doing nice. But there was a while, there was a while for like years. Yeah. That it was looking like... It looked kind of crazy. And he's not that good.
Starting point is 00:16:53 He's been bawling lately. Yeah. But that usually has to do with like gross spurts. I was just about to say that sometimes you got to like kids be hella uncoordinated because they're just too big. Yeah. You get what I'm saying? Then when they grow into their size, pause if necessary, then they be straight after that. You don't need to pause with children.
Starting point is 00:17:08 I know. But, yeah. Like the pause made it weird. It didn't make it weird. I'm sorry. I apologize. Should we get into this, uh, this strike project again? Have you given it more time?
Starting point is 00:17:21 I have. But like I said, when I came in, I liked the project. I was a little underwhelmed because I think I just expected more. But that's me putting my expectations on somebody. So I'll take that. But it wasn't like when I, the album first came out, I saw a few people on the timeline killing it. They didn't like it. Really?
Starting point is 00:17:38 Yeah. And I was like. I actually haven't seen anything bad about it. But I don't, I don't really get into that. Like I can see people. I've seen people say they hate something and I hear it and I'm just like, all right. Yeah. Like I get why people have their own taste, their own.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Everybody's different. But I listen to it. I like the project. I'm not mad at it. I think some of the hooks were a little lazy, though. The music is good. Production is incredible. The music is good.
Starting point is 00:18:03 I just think some of the hooks were a little lazy. And I expected him to rap better on certain songs. Okay. But I think, again, I'll repeat myself. I think Chike is a star. Yeah. I think that he's really dope. I like his.
Starting point is 00:18:18 energy. And, you know, I just think that we're watching him in real time, blossom, make mistakes, not hit the mark necessarily. But that's fine. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's, that happens. That's something that is, you know, very few artists are going to get it right most of the time.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's artists that are established that will come out and not get the right. Still miss, right? You know what I'm saying? And I'm not saying. With a few albums. Right.
Starting point is 00:18:43 And I'm not saying this is a miss for Chike. I'm not, I don't want to say that. This is not a miss for me. I think that this album is a bit. I feel like. Good foundation. I think that this album is going to be something that people go back to two, three years from now, be like, you actually was right.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Yeah. Yeah. I've been a trike fan, like, on record and off record for years. And so the growth in, like, his artistry and whatnot to me on this project was, like, super, super crazy because Trike has always been, like, the L.A. Outside Ratchet rapper with a lot of the homies that he does music with and stuff like that. So like shout out Rucci and Azi Sway and all these other dudes. Like that was kind of like his box.
Starting point is 00:19:22 So him getting like the dot cosine and then stepping up his artistry because he, you know, probably felt like he had to. But for him to do that and hit the mark when he's always lived in this world to me is like really, really fire. And I can see how serious he's taking it. Like with conversations me and him have had and even just all the content stuff he's put out, I can see how serious he's taking the music. So it shows me that he's like. like grown in that way. So I fuck with it. I fuck with it. And I mean, we did talk about the album,
Starting point is 00:19:52 but because you are the NRM senior West Coast correspondent, I felt like we needed to talk about it again and get more and get more time to listen to it. Demaris, did you get a chance? I know you've been busy. I heard some of it. But I am also very much aware that I'm, it is not as West Coast as, for example, a GNX is, but it is still West Coast. And I have to. Why do y'all see that? I think this album is very West Coast. It is. No, it is West Coast, but it's not. It's not GNX, though. That's a degree how minimal, and I mean that not in a bad way, how minimal GNX is to the West Coast sound. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:22 That's like the bare bones West Coast sound. What's crazy is I was talking to Rory before I got here. And that was my only knock on the album. I wanted it to be more West Coast. I was like, yo, you know, a knock that guy's favorite on there, I wanted like five of those. You know what I do another knock that I have? And again, that's just me listening to it. It sounds more heavily Bay influenced than L.A. influenced, the music.
Starting point is 00:20:45 But to me, which glasses, head, every Coast Guard out there, don't kill me. I felt like the new age L.A. sound is heavily influenced by the Bay. Yeah, I was about to say, I feel like... GNX to me is very Bay. Yeah, I'm about saying. GNX to me sounded closer to a Bay Area sound that it did. Like that bounce. The bounce to it.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Yeah. And honestly, like, to me, it's like, I don't know. Like, I've never separated. I know some people do separate it, but to me, like, L.A. in the Bay is, like, we're one. We're, like, we're, like, we're, like, it's never been no, in my world, it's never been no division. You get what I'm saying? So when people say, like, oh, a Bay Area artist might be influenced by L.A. sound or vice versa, I just kind of look at it, like, niggas is just all on the same coast, making the same.
Starting point is 00:21:36 You get them saying? Like, that's how I viewed it. And it wasn't until more recently with all the politics with the beef and all that, that it kind of started being more separate. We had, and I really, really don't want to make this a Drake Kendrick thing whatsoever, but we did have a very good conversation off mic after the Shike album came out. And we talked about just the music on air, but off air, we talked about some bullshit, which maybe would be better for podcasting if we switched that. For sure, exactly.
Starting point is 00:21:59 But that's just not our show. Yeah, yeah. We did have the conversation of, do we think if Drake reached out to Shipe, would he do a record with Drake? I don't think he would. I don't think he would. I don't think he would. I think that I think
Starting point is 00:22:14 Chike is very loyal to what he feels like gave him a shot because Chike has been around for a long time and Dot really gave him a shot. You get him saying
Starting point is 00:22:24 I think Chike is very loyal to what gave him a shot. I'm not sitting here and saying that it would be the easiest decision or what, I don't know, but I do think that I don't think
Starting point is 00:22:33 that there's a word that Chike would say yes to that. Outside of the optics, I would also look at it like you're doing this, you're trying to use me as a pawn in something. Exactly. This isn't some good-hearted, I fuck with you type of thing. And to be honest what you like, and I'm usually on the side of like stay out of the beef and shit.
Starting point is 00:22:52 If Chike did do that, I would think Chike was corny. I would, I would think that that's corny. And I would only think it's corny not because no West Coast niggas should work with Drake, but because Dot really did change his life completely. Okay. You get what I'm saying? And you think that's the difference between the Pelo situation. I think that's the difference.
Starting point is 00:23:08 It's like if there was a world where like Pilo where Dot has like changed Pilo's life in some type of way, then I do think that when niggas hit you for the Dropbox link, you at least ask some questions. You get them saying? Like I got some producer homies that once the beef started happening, you know, they, you know, on Drake's side of things and whatnot. And when certainty e niggas hit them for beats, they was kind of like, what's it for? Like you got to start asking a little bit more questions because now it's kind of, but that's because Drake has changed their life. like, Kendrick and Pilo have never done anything.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, Pilo, I'm talking about we, Pilo and I, they both West Coast niggas, but like, it's never been anything whatsoever. So it's like, if somebody's like, yo, if I'm Pilo and they hit my manager, they're like, yo, Drake working on Iceman. Yeah. Like, he won a Bay record. Send some Bay beats. I don't know that this nigga's in there recording, you know what I mean, too hard for the radio.
Starting point is 00:24:01 I'm just sitting in the pack. And then I'm crossing my fingers when the, when, when the album drops are hoping that I get one to land. You get them saying, that's it. And I even saw them doing a breakdown how they made the beat because it was like four of them. It started out with just loops. And then they started adding, like, there was no intention of like. It's different if like the beat got to like hit them up sample and all like.
Starting point is 00:24:22 You get what I'm saying? Niggas just got a baby, bro. And they just sent it to Drake. And Drake ain't sending a, bro. I got homies that's very close to Drake that don't know if they get in the placement to the album. dropping. These is niggas that's like actually in the studio with Drake. Yeah. And they don't know if they got the placement until the album actually drops. So why how to fuck would Pelo know that? I mean, I guess, all right, I don't agree with glasses,
Starting point is 00:24:46 but to your point with Shike and that entire thing, maybe Glasses is viewing it the same way in that regard where I was like, oh, if Drake reached out, Shik, it would be some pawn shit. Now, I don't think Drake has wrapped over base shit before he's wrapped over Mac Dre Sable. The motto is one of his biggest records ever. Two short shitties redone. Like we've seen, but, and I think this is smart of Drake, if you're going to say you think the bag going to let you disrespect Pock in a dis, all right, I'm going to be petty and go make a big.
Starting point is 00:25:15 And that's what I'm saying. Glass, like you're being used as a pawn by Drake. Yeah. But I don't, but people just say no. Bro, it's a chess move. Dot and Drake been playing chess since the last 12 years they've been playing chess, bro. So it's a chess move that Drake did. Kudos Drake.
Starting point is 00:25:29 I'm just speaking on like attacking Pilo and it's like glasses. You know how this industry shit. You know that that's not what that is. I just think all of that shit is stupid. I do. I do too. Okay, so if that's the case, am I now, am I now mad at whoever studio they recorded us in? Like, yo, we're not fucking with that studio no more.
Starting point is 00:25:47 I agree. That shit is dumb. You put yourself in a whole different. I agree. What are we talking about here? That's why I only think it's not stupid when it comes to shit like niggas directly having real relationships with people. So like if that wanted to come sit on the couch, you look crazy.
Starting point is 00:26:02 I don't give a fuck how you slice it If that, yes If that wants to come to- On Rory and Marr- I didn't think that I wouldn't let Kendrick come up in? I'm saying that you look crazy if you don't conduct that interview in a certain way.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Oh no, for sure. Yeah, so that's all I'm saying. But I'm going to be mall in the any of it. 1,000% And I'm going to let Kendrick know that was corny. Exactly. So that's all I'm saying is that
Starting point is 00:26:20 when you have a personal relationship with somebody, I do feel like, like for trike, talking about the trike example. It does, it comes off corny. Like, this nigga recited show verse at the Super Bowl. Like, he gave you a look and gave you a chance when he didn't have to,
Starting point is 00:26:34 I completely would never expect Chike to say yes to that. What I think that as a human behind closed doors, are you like, fuck? You get what I'm saying, yes? Like, you know what I'm saying? But it's like, you know, you got to stand on the side of the defense when it's a personal relationship
Starting point is 00:26:50 that you personally benefited from. And I think that's the biggest difference between the Chike shit and the Pelo shit. It's not comparable to me. But a lot of the times, because we was talking about this earlier, we make this mistake of, you know, feeling like relationships are something more than what they really are.
Starting point is 00:27:10 I agree. And I think even on the Chike album, he's like, just because you're cool, that's not your man or something like that. However, he flipped that, right? So while you're right, Kendrick, you know, gave Chich one of his biggest looks of his life his career, right? What I'm saying is, in that same breath now, how do we get the Chike album?
Starting point is 00:27:36 It's believed that there was a Kendrick verse on this album. Album drops. There's no Kendrick verse. So is this a world where it's like, yeah, that's your man, but is it really a man? That he just was at a moment that he felt like he could use some of your energy, the aesthetic of having, you know, up and coming cats from the city behind. him next to him. Like, was it just for that moment?
Starting point is 00:28:03 Was that your, did he give you that look for that moment? And then moving forward, it's like, all right. It's, it's... Go out here, sink or swim. Yeah, it's tough for me because I feel like Dodd has always ran his own race. So it's like, I don't personally understand it. But it does look away.
Starting point is 00:28:18 I could see somebody feeling like it looks away. Like, me being non-biby... Like, the thing with the internet that I always see when it comes to this beef shit is like, I think anybody all the way on one side is Dick riding and anybody all the way on the other side is Dick Rider. So I say that to say, Anybody that says it doesn't look a little weird is dick riding.
Starting point is 00:28:34 And anybody that says it looks just completely out the way. It just like dot is foul as fuck yada yada yada is dick riding. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Like dot runs his own race. I definitely expected a dot version. And that's what I'm saying. So anybody that's like, I'm kind of on that side though. Well, that he don't have to do nothing?
Starting point is 00:28:53 No. No, he doesn't. I'm in the middle. I'm in the middle of. But it was there though. Yeah, I'm in the middle of. See, that's the difference. I would have left him on this.
Starting point is 00:29:00 I want to make that very clear. That's why this conversation is different. We're only speaking like this because from what we know and understand, it was there. The verse was there. And, Mall, this only comes from my taste when I say, no disrespects like lefty gunplay or any of those guys. I fuck with them, but I'm not rushing to hear Kendrick on those. Chike is the one. Picaboo was one of my favorite joints on there.
Starting point is 00:29:21 I want to hear these two together. That's what I was in. Yeah, to me, I'm in the middle. I feel like dot don't got to do nothing. For sure. He's already given. He's already given Shike the biggest look that he, you know, the second biggest look he could possibly give him
Starting point is 00:29:34 because the biggest look he probably could have gave him is the verse in the video for this album. I think that probably would have done even more for him than, you get what I'm saying? Like so, the second biggest look. But I'm in the middle where it's like, dot don't have to do nothing that he don't want to do. But I'm also not going to sit here and for the sake of like the internet
Starting point is 00:29:53 not say I didn't expect a dot verse. I think it's verses on the album. Yeah. Yeah, I do too. I do too. We talked about that. We talked about that. I think it's that.
Starting point is 00:30:04 If you listen to negative, which is an incredible record, when we came on here, that was one of the ones I love the most. Yeah. That second verse sounds like Craig is just rapping a Kendrick verse. Yeah, it sounds like at least the cadence in the pocket is there. The hook sounds like a cat, like just try to hear Kendrick's voice on that. Is Kendrick credit as a write on that record? But there's been plenty of times where not just Kendrick,
Starting point is 00:30:26 There's been plenty of people that Drake, too, that's written for people and he's not in the credits. Very true. True. That happens often. Very true. As much as we always say check the credits, the credits don't always tell the full story either. Yeah. But I think, I mean.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Because to me, that's the verse. But then again. This might be, yeah, I'll say, this might be my music industry knowledge being too high, but it's like, that's a song that's produced by Soundwave. Yep. And it has kind of like a dot flow on it. And there was already rumors on the internet that he was on negative. I could definitely see that being the case that that was the Dot person. But like I said, Dot runs his own race.
Starting point is 00:31:01 So it's like he's always done shit that like nobody really understands why he does it. And that's why I'm on the side of like I stopped trying to figure out why he does anything that he does. You know what I'm saying? Because he kind of just runs his own race. But I will say as a Chike fan, if Dot's on this record, I think is gold. So that's my thing. And this is all hypothetical. I think that's a goal record.
Starting point is 00:31:21 I think it's that good. I think it's that good of a song that if Dot is on there and they do a video, I think it's a goal record. And that's not to say, Dot had to do that. You get what I'm saying? This is me literally speaking about it. And there's a world where, you know, again, I don't know Kendrick personally.
Starting point is 00:31:35 A drop of remakes or something like that. That could happen. Maybe that. Or, you know, Kendrick is like, I want this dude to have his moment. Well, that's what I said when it came out. I want to step out of his way. I don't want him to have a big record
Starting point is 00:31:47 just because I'm on it. I get that part of it. I will say this. And actually, I'm glad you brought that up. I would say this. When I was signed a TD, they used to talk about that a lot. So it's a chance that Dot could also talk about.
Starting point is 00:31:57 They used to talk about, like, your rollout being all about somebody else sometimes and how that can not be like the best look. There was even a rumor where like Drake and baby Keem had a song together. And they end up like scratching it or something like that because they didn't want Keem's whole shit to be about Drake. So there's a world where that could also be the case too where Dodd is like, yo, the internet keeps talking about me when it comes to your rollout. They keep talking about me.
Starting point is 00:32:25 They keep talking about me. They keep to, like, have your moment. You already got the two Tyler joints. You know what I mean? It's going to go strong. There's a world where that's the case, too. That was my theory when we first came on the pod to talk about.
Starting point is 00:32:36 I was like, well, maybe Kendrick wanted to get out the way because he already knows the mess that's going to be. T. T.rell already said this shit. I guess it's getting weird now. But for me, if I'm an artist, I'm like, let's go with a.
Starting point is 00:32:45 I'm talking about you. If I'm chike. I need the, I need the record. This all these nigs on my album. Let's go with our, our, our, our theory. this is true and this is unfair to Kendrick because we don't know if this is true. But that sounds like a Kendrick verse on the second verse.
Starting point is 00:33:01 I think negative if Kendrick is on there, he's not dissing anyone. It's not going to become a beef thing. Yeah, I think it's just a record. I think that takes negative is gold. You have Kendrick primary artist on that. That record is out of here. I think that should is gone. As compared to now, it's a B-side.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Like, yeah. That's just a cool record in the album show. I think that's gone. I bet. Negative is so far. That's my favorite record on the project. negative. And I'm like, if that did happen, like, I think that shit is gold or platinum. Like, without a doubt, gold or platinum changes the trajectory of everything. So that's,
Starting point is 00:33:35 that's my take on it. If that was a Kendrick verse and then he just redid it when Kendra was like, take me off, I would have been like, well, can Keem wrap it? I would have somebody, I'm not even joking. Like, if you put Keem on negative, that's out of here too. He'll smoke that. Keem would have smoked. Keem would a smoke negative. And that would make sense. I ain't going to say Chike is mad, but when Kendrick took that verse off, he definitely went home and got on his Cuba good and then boys and the other shit. And start punching the air. I'm like, what? Sick of these shit.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Sick of these motherfuck. He got, you got to be mad because you know, like, to what y'all are saying. He heard that record and whatever Kendrick did on that record, if that is the record, right? Yeah, all of this is like us. If that is the record. If it's the record. No, but. He heard that and was like, Chikes, Chike started making plans.
Starting point is 00:34:23 that nigga had He started looking at properties That nigga started looking out in Orange County You got like a third You got like a third Yeah And you start being like Oh I'm about to get like that six
Starting point is 00:34:35 Like this 20K like it's coming you start I got a six leg parlay All I need is AD for 12 rebounds He got nine at the half And then spraying his ankle in the third I'm sick I'm fighting everybody Yeah
Starting point is 00:34:49 Nick we're making plans You're about to go to Kabul next week we're making crazy plans. And he sprained his ankle. Sprained his ankle in the third quarter, you bitch ass. Sprained ankle, you can't go get three rebounds on a sprain? Nah, bro. I'm just saying, Chike was making plans with that.
Starting point is 00:35:09 I know he was. I mean, and we joke him, but go listen to negative with Kendrick in your brain. That record is out of here. Yeah, that shit is hard, bro. And it's like, like, yeah, it's like, but I do want to be clear because the internet go hard on me. I am not saying dot had to do that. I keep one of the when I keep saying that.
Starting point is 00:35:26 It's not going to click that part. It's not going to matter. It's not going to matter. This part will never see the last. No, no, no, no. Anything nice or positively saying never seen the love. But yes, that record is, I'm more speaking about it
Starting point is 00:35:37 from a fan of like the record. Like that record is, it's certain records were like certain people take the shit out of here. Like we was talking about the Ferrell joint before this. And I was like, if that's on this one, I don't think it, like, it does well because it's dot, but I don't think it carries the same way.
Starting point is 00:35:52 But negative is gone, bro. I genuinely feel like if that dot is gone. I like the lamb truck keys. I like that record. That's just fire. I don't love the hook like that, but the energy. When you said the lazy hook thing, I knew what record you were talking about.
Starting point is 00:36:06 That's the only, that's the only record I remember. But I love their song. He should have like stacked it a little bit and stuff like that. Yeah. The other Tyler record. I like sticky yiki, yiki. I hate that. That the world is ours.
Starting point is 00:36:19 Good record. It is hate the. The hook. The hook feels very lazy. I got to go back and listen to it. It's the same repetitive. The world is our sticky yiki, yiki, yiki. It's like, come on, don't say that seven times. Like, we nobody wants to repeat that.
Starting point is 00:36:31 You came in a year today saying sticky. That's why you were saying it. Because I'm listening to it. Now it works. But it's not because I like it. I'm laughing at it. But that's how I felt about laughing taffy and look what that became. That's a fact. Yeah, but this song is really good.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Yeah, that's the world is our song. That records is a good record. You don't really have no, like, hat's off to track, bro. Like, I think it's like one song on here I don't like. My only knock on the project is that I just wanted more ghetto shit. That was literally my only knock. But we understand that he was trying to draw on his reach.
Starting point is 00:36:58 But I understand that. He didn't want to make it to L.A. Yeah, because then you box yourself in. Into just L.A. Niggas don't be fucking with us. Because they would have, I mean, they would have killed it. If he did G&X part two, everyone would kill them. And I don't care.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Maybe it's because y'all aren't from the West. You can do a West Coast album without it being G&X. No, I know that. You get what I'm like, without it even remotely sounding like that. Like God's favorite to me don't sound nothing like anything that's on GenX. I like God's figure.
Starting point is 00:37:23 God's favorite. God's favorite is fire. I think I like God's favorite. It stands out so much because the whole album doesn't sound like that. I wanted that. Like I wanted like five of them.
Starting point is 00:37:33 I wanted like five of them. I wanted Rucci on this motherfucker. I wanted A.Z. Swayo here. I want it like I just wanted the ghetto shit. Like to me I'd be like when you get to the apex of where you at
Starting point is 00:37:43 and not saying the Chikis because Chikin can definitely go higher and it's like we said we did the star. When you get to where the apex where you at, I just be wanting niggas to like, take a part of the like the ghetto shit with them. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:37:57 I've only seen that, and this is me outside looking in someone not from the West Coast. The only time I've seen that work for real outside of L.A. is my crazy life. True. That album's ghetto as fuck, but it's universal to everybody. Very true. Maul, you see DeMaris over there just overpaying for wireless? She does that from time to time.

Starting point is 00:40:24 Yo, what's that song Chike did with Hit Boy? Packed up. I like that record. That record's fire. Packed up as fire. See, when I heard that, so I think that's what it is too. When I heard that record.
Starting point is 00:40:39 That's such your expectations. I kind of was like, you know what I mean? Like I was like. You don't like the look like my mama record with Tyler? I love that record. That record is hard. Look like my mom.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Which one's, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I talked about it. I like that record. I like that record. I like that record. I think they was both, they was both rapping on that. record. They for sure was.
Starting point is 00:40:59 They both got some balls off where I was like, Tyler was slide. Was Tyler the one that says, stop staying free to homie if you know he did it? And he was the one saying, I'm about to get that tag. Stop saying, free. I'm not to get that. They did it. I was going to set the, uh, everybody that's, uh,
Starting point is 00:41:12 something named your man too. Tyler said that too. Tyler was talking. That's what I'm saying. That record. I like that record. When Tyler unlocked after you did the Hey Now remix, even though it's not the official remix. Yeah, yeah. Like I kind of wish.
Starting point is 00:41:24 It's the official remix at this point. I kind of wish he was on the original like, that would have been crazy. But once Tyler unlock that flow, he hasn't left that flow and I'm fine with it. Tyler gets his best shit off in that pocket. Tyler, that nigga, man. I think that's what it was.
Starting point is 00:41:36 I think I heard that Chike hit boy. Who else was on that record? It's just something of hit boy. It's just hit me. I think when I heard that, I think my expectations for what I was going to hear on this album kind of went to a different level. And then I heard that.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Like I said, the album I don't think it's a bad project at all. I think it's really good music on here. No, that bar go back up. I'm just a snob when it comes to music and rap. So I'm going to nitpick at certain shit that's probably another thing. And also like Chike isn't your like rappers, rappers. So like it's certain shit that like Chike's just never going to like get off. And I understand.
Starting point is 00:42:09 That's what I'm saying. My expectations for him. I get what you saying. Maybe I set the bar too high for what I expect. Yeah, because to me with him and I don't think he's a bad rapper by any means, I just don't look at him for how like reason. Tyler was talking. I look at him like for delivery.
Starting point is 00:42:24 No. Well, he said, I only rap. I left my guard there. I try to say I only rap. my cars now. I'm the only one that left the block and turn the car around. That's the whole bar ever.
Starting point is 00:42:33 And it's true. And it's true. And that's a way deeper bar. Bro, like, it's like, if you know the history of, he really spun the block and when it picked all his niggas up. Like, he has modern Moutang. Bro. That nigga Tyler was talking.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Our future is modern Moutang. He was talking. No, I was, that's one of the records when I heard it. I was kind of surprised that the rapping that they was doing. I was like, okay. They went in here and really was trying to say some shit on this record. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:58 Shout out to Chike. Fire. Shout to Chike, man. Listen, man, I don't care what his, what numbers did first week. I don't really care about that. But that shit in 2026.
Starting point is 00:43:06 It was. Yeah, but no, but again. 9K is good. For anybody that's not chike though. Like, it was a lot of expectations. For anybody that is,
Starting point is 00:43:16 Dochi did what, 12, 13? 13. 13? That was bad for Dochi. Why? No, it's their first. Your first week numbers
Starting point is 00:43:23 only go by having a big single. That's, unless you're an established. Yeah, But there was so many eyes and ears on Dochi. But she also didn't have a big, but they both didn't have a huge big, you know, first week numbers are predicated off for two things. If you're an established artist that you're just going to drop, like if Drake drop out of nowhere,
Starting point is 00:43:42 he's going to do a certain amount, period. But if he drops with a rollout with a big single, he's going to do 600, 700. If Chike is a newer artist that doesn't have like an out of here single yet, and then he's dropping a full body of work, he's still a. new artists, 9K is good, especially in today. The streaming numbers are down. Everybody's numbers are down more than they've ever been. Like, 9K is a very, very good start.
Starting point is 00:44:07 Now, what I will say is that you got to have a good post rollout. And to me, you judge. Yeah, because I saw that tweet. That was by the post rollout. Yeah. I saw that tweet. You judged by the post rollout. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I'm being dead ass, I wasn't even like, I wasn't cave. No, I'm not saying you was cable, but I just wanted to laugh with you in that moment. Like, I was going to call you like, you, bro, what we're doing on X right? I'm being dead ass. What we're doing? You got to have a good post. If we look up in three months, Chike is at 100K sales. Is that a fail?
Starting point is 00:44:34 No. So that's how I look at. Let's use Dolchy as an example. Her moments came after the project. And she ended up going gold. She might be platinum now. So it's like it's post rollout. It's like you're an established artist.
Starting point is 00:44:46 It's a lot of eyes on you. You drop a great body of work. And then you work the great body of work. And if you work the great body of work with dope videos, like right now, if I'm chisle, I'm prepping for the tour. I'm making sure my. tour is phenomenal. That way people get content of that. I'm making sure that all of my videos coming off post is phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:45:02 If I could catch a remix with a nigga, I'm going to catch a remix. I'm going to do all of those things. And then I'm going to look up in three or four months. And I'm going to see where we're at there. Now, if you look up in three or four months and he at 21, now we can have the conversation about Warner dropping the ball. Because I still don't think that's on trike. I would say it's on Warner. But I don't think I'm being like, I'm not even, this ain't a Cape thing.
Starting point is 00:45:23 I'm not, I don't think 9K is bad at all. And Keem did great numbers, but what I thought solidified Keem even more was how they focused on putting out moments on socials of his tour. Yeah. That's what I said. You got to get your tour. To me, that was amazing what Keem did. And he did great numbers. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:40 But when he was showing everyone who bought hard tickets and they obviously, as they should put money into showing those moments. And then the people that don't go to the show, it's going to make them go back and listen to it. Or want to go. To go. Exactly. Or want to go to the show. The people that did go, they're going to, you know what I'm saying, saying, like, go back and listen to it.
Starting point is 00:45:57 I definitely feel like a lot of this music that's on this project, once he gets visuals for it, is going to make a difference. Yeah, I think that's going to make a difference, and I think if Chike elevates his tour, the way that he's elevated his music, because I've been to a Chike show. No offense, Tchike, I love you.
Starting point is 00:46:14 You know, just be rapping over your vocals and shit like that. You got to elevate that. You get this. Like, no, I'm never, I'm never, Chike's my nigga. Reasons says fuck the way of course. Yeah, yeah. Reezyz. I'm saying that to say. I'm saying that to say If he elevates his show,
Starting point is 00:46:28 which I think he will, because he already elevated the music. So if he elevates the show the way I think he will, don't come out there with a bunch of niggas on stage, don't come out there rapping over your own vocals,
Starting point is 00:46:36 elevate your showmanship. And the shows, in the content behind the shows are fire, I think it's going to continue to elevate. He's going to be in LA. Tyler going to step on stage. For sure. That's going to be a moment.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Tyler going to go crazy. I definitely, to what you're saying, I definitely feel like visuals for Lambtruck. For sure. For one of the joint of Tyler. I feel like. joint with Jamison. I feel like those three. I feel like if he do the joint with Tyler, the mama, what's the one? Which one's
Starting point is 00:46:59 that? Well, he already did a visual for that. But what's the other one? The world is ours? Yeah, yeah. If he do a visual for that, to me, Lambtruck. I don't think Tyler's getting him two visuals. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. He gave him two verses. But he might. He might he gave him two songs. But if he do negative, Lambtruck. Like, he did Lambtruck keys with Farrell in the video, crazy. Crazy. Which I'm sure they shot
Starting point is 00:47:18 content and stuff like that. If he do negative, if he does the joint with Jamison. If he do the Lambtruck keys with Farrell. You get them to say, all of these are moments. In the Louis store. You feel me? Like, it's like, that's how you do the post rollout is you just keep creating. You keep creating moments.
Starting point is 00:47:32 And I don't like the sales just keep going to let him drop the ball. Bro, they're not. They didn't already spent so much money, bro. They're going to do whatever they got to do. And so I just think it's all about post rollout. I think nine is pause. I'm about to say nine is perfect. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Yeah, that would have been. No, we would have clip that. Yeah. But I think 9K first week is perfect from where Chike is at. I just think it's all post rollout. And I think that. that, you know, Warner and Tim and all them got to just get to work on post-rollout. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Well, I did say, you know, we go back to a few days ago when we first spoke about that. I did say I think Chike is a star, and I believe that. For sure. For sure. I believe Chike is a star. I believe that this is the beginning of his ascension, you know, away from the GNX moment. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:13 I feel like this is the beginning of his ascension there. We sat and talked with him, BET weekend. Was that two years ago? I loved his energy. Yeah. I thought that, you know, he's a good nigga, bro. He just, like I said, I have nothing negative. Like, I'm rooting for Chite.
Starting point is 00:48:29 I really want to see him. Whatever he wants to do and plans to do, I hope that he, you know, hits the mark on all of that. And again, my pushback on the album was really solely based in just my expectations. No, I get that. I get that. I put a lot on it because I do think he's a star. And I think that his, you know, his career that he's about to have is going to be incredible.
Starting point is 00:48:47 And pause, I know for us on the couch, this doesn't matter much. But to your point of a start, I saw a lot of women saying, finally a new rapper that looks attractive and not some fat fucking dope it. Like all the new rappers is just fat can't even pick their neck up. That shoot, that's you, I saw all the girls saying like, yo, finally a new rapper is attractive.
Starting point is 00:49:06 I literally was just telling them like, bring back sexy rappers. I'm so tired of these niggas with these big ass lean stomachs, ugly as fuck. These big fake ass teeth, hair knotted up. It's like this grungy, nasty looking. Bring back the LLs. I will fuck.
Starting point is 00:49:23 fuck chike like bring back to the niggas that make you want to listen to somebody music no i think it's a point i saw the women on the timeline saying how attractive he was i was like that's missing in hip-hop right now too there's not really the sex symbol rapper anymore let us fair that that shit is gone we want to see that shit we want i listen to i'll be in there fucking cripp-walk and listening to that shit the rest of them niggas no we don't just be crip walking for no reason man getting hypey whatever the fuck you niggins be doing i don't care what that I would watch you do it. I ain't a lot that nigga Chike's sick for having a David
Starting point is 00:49:56 Ruffin glasses though. The temptation day. They work for him. No, no, no. But that's what I'm saying. Like that look, like bringing that back. That shit is crazy.
Starting point is 00:50:03 Yeah, you don't know. He had him all that thing when he was. Yeah. Yeah. Shout out Chisle, man. Yeah. I'm happy for the homie. I'm moving.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Yeah. I like him, man. And I'm probably say I was the first TD to work with Chike. It just didn't come out. Clip it. Just didn't come out. Yeah, but that's why, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:19 Yeah, it just didn't come out. Chike, no. I was the first T-D nigga to work with Chike. So let's be messy. What artists out of loyalty that you would love to get a feature from, but you can't out of loyalty? Out of loyalty?
Starting point is 00:50:30 I don't got no loyalty no more. Noges. I'm not, I'm not going to be. I'm like, shit, who? Like, Drake's in the hook. It's on the album. Fucking right.
Starting point is 00:50:44 It's on the album. Damn right. Why wouldn't it be? Yeah. But all right. let's say let's say let's do all hypothetical there
Starting point is 00:50:53 just for de Maris's question if you stayed on TDE obviously Kendrick Leaves does PG-Lang beef happens is top saying no to you having a Drake hook? Yeah yeah that's out okay that's out
Starting point is 00:51:04 yeah he said no to less for less that's out that shit is crazy that shit's gone because like if Drake's in the if Drake's in the remix right now for Lamb Truck Keys yeah that's not
Starting point is 00:51:18 Chike's supposed to be like, nah. Yeah. Y'all niggas crazy than the motherfucker. Nah, bro. That's corny, bro. That's corny, bro. That's corny. Y'all got Chike twisted.
Starting point is 00:51:27 Nah. Call Chike. But to me. Let me ask, man. Let me ask Chike. I feel like me and Chike, I feel like me and Chike on a line or something. I'm just saying it's like, yo, Chike, you ain't taking that version. I'm admitting that there's a human aspect to where Chike is probably like, fuck.
Starting point is 00:51:40 Like, you know, 100%. But that's, but that's cool. You can't, bro. Sometimes, sometimes you got to be cool you. It's niggas that call me dislo- after the podcast shit, which now I have every right to be, to do whatever I want.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Niggas will still call me disloyal. And I don't even got a verse. No matter. Wow, they were disloyal on other podcasts. You know what I'm saying? This is why you make it, this is why you making my point. So, no, I'm saying no.
Starting point is 00:52:04 No matter what you say. No matter how you carry yourself. That's cool. Somebody somewhere is going to say, I agree with that. I agree with that. I agree with this loyal. No matter what.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Reason is. Yeah. So why not let it happen when I got. Because you can't, you can't do that. I'm out here selling out every show. You know that you know it's a pawn thing. I bought my mom's a house in Orange County. Like I'm doing all this shit. I'm going to be coming anyway.
Starting point is 00:52:27 I'm going to tell you why. Because you look like the bitch that was fucking with the rich nigga and then left the rich nigga and then his op, buy her Chanel bags and all that. And so she started fucking him. It's like you just upon the, the nigga don't give a fuck. Like everybody knows you just. He usually hurt you.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Yeah, everybody knows you just getting fucked. You're just bending over and getting fucked. That's all you doing for the moment. Yeah, but in this life, I was told you either useful or useless. But to me, I don't even think. And I'd rather be useful with all these niggas hating in front of 7-E. And I'm out here on Drake anyway. For lunch.
Starting point is 00:53:04 He's still on TDE and Drake gives him a hook. Kendrick can easily say, you still going to my youngest to get the sauce. Like, that's 48 laws. I feel like Drake would look crazier doing that. I don't think so. I think that the reason why I say I don't think so is because it could easily be flipped as, like let's say Drake gave Chike a hook or a verse and that song is out of here. Let's say it's double platinum.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Now you give Drake the one up to be like, I had to do what you couldn't. Exactly. For your man. Exactly. You want me to get what I'm saying? And that's also, that's also something that was in the beef that was you don't go back to your hood playing on money trees. It's been, it's been said.
Starting point is 00:53:39 That was what Drake was alluding to that. That seed is. I put a whole bunch of things out of you don't. So that would be feeding into that area. I'm about the. in everything y'all saying, let's say for whatever reason, two years from now, we, Chike and Kendrick don't have no relationship.
Starting point is 00:53:54 They don't speak, nothing. Chike is to never do a song with Drake and the rest of the way. No, I do think that there's a, I think that there is like a time span thing. Like, let's say in, I don't think it's two years. I say, let's say it's in like four years and they don't have a relationship at all. I think if Drake's in the verse or send the hook,
Starting point is 00:54:11 you do it at that point. But I think in the, like this is. Me, that makes no sense. Nah, it does, bro. this is rolling right. Like, dot has been, dot has been substantially prevalent in people figuring out about you. He's been substantially prevalent in you getting the biggest look of your life.
Starting point is 00:54:28 No, for sure. He wrapped your verse. He wrapped your verse on the Super Bowl. He didn't wrap nobody else's verse. He wrapped your verse on the Super Bowl. He's taking pictures what you're doing your rollout. He's giving your rollout all of this life. And then you're going to roll off of that and get a, that's nasty.
Starting point is 00:54:44 that's nasty I'm getting like weird chills saying it out laugh that's nasty bro now let me ask you this did the whole start and I hate to keep talking about this
Starting point is 00:54:56 dumb ass Drake Kendrick shit but that whole shit started with a record that was on Future's album right yes Kendrick verse yeah yeah Future in Molly Santana are the only features
Starting point is 00:55:08 I think 21 too on Iceman I think Drake crazy for that I think Drake was crazy for having Future on that album. Why? Because it was weird. I think less about like that, more about that Metro Boomin future album that had so many disson. Future.
Starting point is 00:55:28 Let this nigger record a verse going directly at you. Reason. Let's be very clear. I agree with you. Yeah, that's nasty. I couldn't change my energy on nothing of this shit. I couldn't believe Drake gave him. That was crazy.
Starting point is 00:55:40 But you know what? Obviously they have a relationship. obviously they spoke 1,000% Obviously things was patched up Patched away And they was like Fuck it man
Starting point is 00:55:49 Let's get back to Yeah What we was doing But that's one thing that Drake is good at though Like Drake is good at like Understanding that like Like being a bigger man in the situation And having a conversations
Starting point is 00:55:59 And then returning back You know what I'm saying from me He did it with Meek I think honestly I think it's He's a good guy by nature No he is He did it with Meek Because it was a landslide
Starting point is 00:56:09 No for sure But even still though Drake has patched things up he really fuck with me. Yeah. I'm not saying he doesn't, but I'm saying if it's a landslide the other way, Drake is not immediately having meat come on stage with him.
Starting point is 00:56:20 I agree. But all I'm saying is that I can see a world where Drake patches things up with a lot of people because that's just kind of like, you can tell he's a good nigga by nature. Like, yeah, like, yeah, like, Dodd is a maniac. He kind of like a, you know what I mean? Like kind of like not all the way there,
Starting point is 00:56:33 kind of asshole. Like not saying like in real life, but like he kind of offers rocker a little bit. That is where they're different in personality, which I also think is why the battle with the, way they to win. But I'm still going to keep the same energy that I keep with everything. Certain shit just look nasty. But I do. I can tell. You could tell when the whole shit was happening that the future shit really hurt Drake. And that all the other shit was like, okay, you niggas is crazy.
Starting point is 00:56:56 I'll go out all you niggas. But like future was the one that it was like. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So it's like, it looked nasty to me for him to be right on Iceman. Like I think if he was on whatever the next album is, I don't think it would have looked as crazy. But for him to roll right off of that and go straight to Iceman and Future has the single, man, I would have stuck that thing on the C side. He would have been on Habei. The fuck is it. Well, I don't even think.
Starting point is 00:57:21 If he's going to be on something, he would have been on Habebe. I don't think the run to Atlanta shit was single, but I hear you. That's the biggest record on the project. Janice is by far. Well, now, but I'm saying, when it first happened, that was just because everyone was trying to hear a future. Yeah, so I'm saying, that's the one that broke the number one. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:57:36 So, the one that broke the number one record, the Michael Jackson's, I think, I just think there's more forgiveness with the like that. because we didn't know where that was going to go or what that was, like, who even knows how much future was hurt. Future might have heard that shit when we all heard it. Like, we don't know that entire thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:53 No, Future didn't. It's not like he went full, like Rick Ross and, like, started fucking doing corny videos. And like, at that point, there's no forgiveness. I'm not like, nah, I think, I, that one I don't, I think that, I don't know. Drake got, like I said, it's one of the things where I'm like,
Starting point is 00:58:11 he a bigger man. me. Well, y'all are probably going to get killed for that conversation. So welcome to our life reason. But we're currently being killed anyway for our R. Kelly take. Did y'all see that? I have not looked at. I have not looked for our R. Kelly thing. We get it. They're being killed because we feel like usher is the king of R&B. Yes. They are saying they're killing us. And did Chris, did post something yesterday? But I don't think we're going to get into that. Yeah, I don't know if that was I don't think that was because of us. I'm not saying he posts something saying he's the king, right? He's tired of being humble.
Starting point is 00:58:42 We'll get to it. Okay, we'll get into that. We'll get into that. Okay, so the R. Kelly thing. Now, walking we through this baby, what are the people? Everybody is saying that we're out of our mind. So all of the points that we made, right, about Usher being, all of the reasons we provided for Usher being the king. They're saying that R. Kelly has the better discography.
Starting point is 00:59:01 He has more classic, more hits. Like, they're saying, like, in a versus battle, Usher couldn't be R. Kelly. They're saying that Usher cannot sing better than R. Kelly. and they're saying that the performance part doesn't matter when you're talking about the king of R&B. That is what we're being killed. The performance part doesn't matter. They're saying it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:59:20 What Michael Jackson be the king of pop if he wasn't the performer that he was? Exactly. Pop is not standing up for them, but I can understand the point of. No, no, I'm asking a question based on the word king. But pop is different in R&B. It's a different genre. But I'm saying, would Michael Jackson be considered the king of popular music if he wasn't the performer that he was.
Starting point is 00:59:41 No. Okay. But if you're bringing up dance, dance doesn't matter. I'm not like, fuck dancing. Yes, it does. Performing. I'm not saying dancing, performing. And you mean that by vocals as well, right?
Starting point is 00:59:53 The entire package, production, the entire thing. I agree. It's a performance. This is the music business, right? It's entertainment. Entertain. R. Kelly is an amazing writer. He's an incredible singer.
Starting point is 01:00:06 There's an incredible discography. penned some of the greatest R&B records of our lifetimes. We get all that. No, no, about a pen. He was the first hove. He can't read her right. He can't. He hummed.
Starting point is 01:00:20 He hummed. He said this. I didn't say. I'm not saying something he didn't say. He can't read her right. He hung. Some of the greatest. He hung some of the greatest melodies.
Starting point is 01:00:29 Some of the greatest melodies. All of that. Without a doubt. Without a doubt. Oh, who? But to me, and to only me, I'm not speaking for no audio else. all of that is null and void when you are who he is. I hear you.
Starting point is 01:00:43 I don't give a fuck about nothing else. I don't care about you believing you can fly when you're a pedophile. Okay, but to be fair to them, in our conversation, we said pedophilia aside. If even if he's a friend. There is no pedophilia aside. No, but what I'm saying is we said, we didn't put pedophilia to the side.
Starting point is 01:01:00 We said if you take it out. If you take the pedophilia away, this is still a conversation. If we're having a conversation, pedophilia to the side, which sounds crazy. But if we're having that conversation, I still don't think it's crazy to say that. I don't either. Usher has the greatest R&B album of all time. Confessions is the greatest R&B album of all time.
Starting point is 01:01:16 Again, I don't know if it's... Go ahead. No, I'm saying like he has two albums that are better than any R. Kelly album. This could be the year that you and I are both in 1990. I think 87-1 in Confessions is better than any R. Kelly album, period. Yeah, the whole, because the whole album, because R. Kelly has records.
Starting point is 01:01:34 Don't get me wrong. Like, if we're talking about a verses, I still think in a versus, both of them niggins is in for a long night. You got to have like a 30 song verses because 20 they're just going to be throwing haymakers back and forth. But so if you talk about just records,
Starting point is 01:01:47 that's a different conversation. But if you talk about like a complete body of work, Kale's just be fucking his whole album. That's what he do. And I don't want to bring that up with- He just fuck the whole album. I really, I don't want to bring that up with niggins because niggas is like, Kel's got the best of sky.
Starting point is 01:02:02 I'm just like, everybody's saying that you motherfuckers are horny. You know what I'm saying? He does. There's no. I know my, my pops is one of the horniest niggas on the planet. And that nigga loves R. Kelly. That's just a crazy thing to throw in a conversation. My dad is one of the homiest niggas in the world.
Starting point is 01:02:16 My pop loves R. Kelly to death. And he just played a little, uh, uh, I, I shit. He played all that shit. Oh, that's on it. Yeah. He raised two twins that fake seizure so they can go fuck girls. Yes, he's probably that's not a cop. That's not a cop.
Starting point is 01:02:28 It didn't work. The horny man. It's the horny man. But my point is like, that's, my pops only like R. Kelly because he, would just get pussy to R. Kelly. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, but Usher had complete bodies of work.
Starting point is 01:02:41 He got the guys not out record. He got the shit that the- guy's night out. Dead ass. It's kind of gay, but I hear you. I know what he's saying. When you lose your best, you lose your best. After the night, don't leave your girl around me.
Starting point is 01:02:51 You're like, yo, I'm stepping out with the roller zone. And I'm a seven o'clock on the dock. On the dot. And we do the little shit. Guys, you know what I'm saying? The guys night out is crazy as fuck. That's a, that's a pocket that nobody even really touch like that. You get a saying? You don't got a call. She didn't go through my phone. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:09 You don't got a call. I'm outside with the bitches. I love ignition, but guys not out, we're not throwing ignition on in the whip. You feel me? Like, it's like, it's, when we talk about a whole discography, so when I'm talking about like the king of a, of a top, like your whole body of work, got to, if we only fuck into your songs, that's it. Like, I feel like the range isn't there. Now, if we talk about voice, I do think Kail's voice is a little strong in it. Usher's. be honest. Go listen again.
Starting point is 01:03:37 I probably do got to listen again, but maybe an unpopular opinion. I'm with Demaris. I don't think they're that far off at all. No, I don't think they're that far off. But if I had to choose who I think could sing a little bit better, I would choose Kells.
Starting point is 01:03:51 I don't think that they're that far off whatsoever. And then, like you said, I disagree. I do think performance has to come into a part only because, only because performance has always been a part of R&B, not even just pop. So, like, you can't really name
Starting point is 01:04:02 really, really big R&B stars that didn't perform outside of Kills. Yeah. It ain't really like, Beyonce always been a performer. Like, Mariah Carey will probably be the one. Yeah, so Mariah Carey would be one for sure. But there's not like a ton of like...
Starting point is 01:04:17 Mariah Carey, what? She would be like one of the super, super big R&B stars that didn't perform. Like, it's not a lot of huge, even if we go back to like the temptations and shit. Niggas are sliding around in five identical suits. Like, it's always been a part of R&B to... No, but that was the shit.
Starting point is 01:04:32 No, I'm saying it's fire. I watched the temptation. I had the temptation. of you. One mic. You get a six niggas. One, you feel you. One, like a slide out. One nigga slide. It's your verse, nigga. You know what you got to be. You got to do. All I need is one, Mike.
Starting point is 01:04:53 That's saying. Six of us. We only need one. We ain't. That's my point is like, performing has always been a part of R&B. So I don't think. What is it not? That's what's crazy to me. So that's what I'm saying. To even say, we can't add the performances. It's like, yeah, it's crazy to me. And my jukelle sounds great live. But there's a factor that he does not have that Usher has and still sounds as good as the record when he's singing. Why the niggas dancing all the way down the fucking ballpark and still sounds on roller skates. On roller skates.
Starting point is 01:05:20 And still it's hitting every single note. Usher can do every R. Kelly song. Arkelly cannot do climax. He can't. I agree with that too. He can't. He could do it. It would sound terrible.
Starting point is 01:05:30 You see what I'm saying? Like he has a, he has his voice is very one dimensional. He's not a, he's a, he's a critical. Christina Aguilera where it's like you you're not gonna you don't have range Arkelly does not have a heavy range he specializes in what he does but he does not have a range Usher has one hell of a range
Starting point is 01:05:45 man I just scroll up these are bots Chocolate factory 89 He's the one commenter Fuck him I'm don't go back down Chocolate factory 89 These are like R Kelly bots from prison Yep
Starting point is 01:05:57 Yo and the niggas I was arguing with this nigga What time was it? It had to be six o'clock in the morning Niggins that every song R. Kelly ever made is a hit every song is. I said it's mad judge.
Starting point is 01:06:10 It's crazy. It's mad dudes. That's how I know people are not music fans. You're going to hear a bunch of misses. Yeah, what was eight hours from now? Yeah, it was 6 a.m. That's the first thing I wrote. I didn't even brush my teeth.
Starting point is 01:06:20 I was arguing. I mean, I get it. And I mean, you know, if people are debating it, then, you know, it did. Yeah, I just don't ever care to talk about R. Kelly. I'm with you. Like, I'm on the side of. I don't give a fuck how great of a songwriter you are,
Starting point is 01:06:33 how great of a vocalist you are. when you're a pedophile that she trumps everything you've ever done. You're a piece of shit and they should have killed that motherfucker. That's how I feel. Agreed. We should be told about somebody that's dead.
Starting point is 01:06:48 Manolo, shoot that piece of shit. That's what should have happened. That's what should have happened. Take that nigga out in the back, put two in his head, get him out of it. You believe you can fly? Show me, nigga. Jump.
Starting point is 01:07:02 That's what I'm like. Let me give you wings, nigg. Ryan on the list. What's next? We got to move on. I don't care about the niggas talent when they're pedophile. I don't know what you did.
Starting point is 01:07:14 So if niggas is arguing, cool, that's great. It's mad niggas that's nice. That ain't pedophiles. We can argue about them. We can argue about them niggas. Chris Brown, what Chris said? I'm not your friend. I'm not your buddy.
Starting point is 01:07:26 I don't like majority of you. I don't want your approval. I don't want your fake love. I hate the music industry. I don't want to participate in the circus. If it doesn't benefit my children, I don't need it. it you will no longer be able to be around me fuck being humble, fuck your agenda,
Starting point is 01:07:41 fuck your narrative, fuck how you feel, I don't like none of you celebrities. Oh, somebody ain't turned out. What is this? What does this have to do with the conversation? That was his first verse. Fuck your- I am the best hands down.
Starting point is 01:07:52 I'm the king. I'm on that type of time and not a single artist on this planet can fuck on me on my worst day. They know it. I'm tired of being nice. Fuck your opinion. I'll be the villain.
Starting point is 01:08:02 Now, I hope I hope this is not directed to anybody from Usher, Usher's camp. That's what I thought it was about. I was like, because I mean, they on tour together. But how could it? I'm just saying that. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:08:15 How could it? It came out right after they named Usher the King of R&B. Guys, I'll tell you, I went to the tour. Just because of video surfaced now with Usher putting the crap. That's part of the show. Got it. I went to the shit two months ago and he did the same thing. Okay, got it.
Starting point is 01:08:30 No, but I'm just saying, I'm just saying, this feels like something because, again, you have two artists of this magnitude on a stadium tour. Sometimes things happen. Sometimes things, you know, it's a lot of ego. It's a lot of energy. It's a lot of people on both sides because these are two major artists. I'm just saying a lot of this and the timing of this while him being on tour with an artist, the likes of Usher, with an artist that likes of Usher.
Starting point is 01:08:58 I'm just saying some of this feels like, oh, I hope none of this. Let me say this. I hope none of this is directed, none of this energy is directed towards Usher or anybody from Usher's I can't see it because one again that happened in the show plenty of times. No, I'm not saying based on that. I don't think, I don't think that that clip went viral and everyone started acting different because I was backstage for this. I watched both of their camps together before the show all get in a circle.
Starting point is 01:09:28 They do their prayer together. Usher and Chris. like it's it's not just the chris side and the usher side they all come together before the show like which they've been doing for months i don't think a twitter video is now all of a sudden gonna spark everyone acting different behind the scenes saying like chris you not like that i hope not because i got tickets coming it's such a good show i don't want niggis to be beating and honestly if i'm chris i'd feel this way either way yeah i mean i didn't find nothing wrong with him saying that at all and mind you i as far as discography goes
Starting point is 01:10:00 I'm landing on Usher side. But watching that show and watching, I went to the Breezy Bowl and I went to the Usher and Chris Brown. I don't know if Chris Brown is a human being. Yeah, no, he's not. I don't, like, I would feel that way too. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:12 He rocks for three hours. I don't know how your cardio does that, how you sound that good, how you could dance for three hours straight, do backflips, run around the whole arena every single night and still sound as good as you do and run through 40 fucking hits. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:25 I feel that way too if I was Chris Brown. I agree. You can't fuck with me. I've always said this. like, I feel like when it comes to Chris Brown, you can maybe argue discography, because I don't know if Chris has, like, as strong of a discography as, like, certain artists you can argue with it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:40 But it ain't a performer on this planet that can fuck with him. You can't. You can't. It ain't a performer on the planet. But, but again, because people would, like, say, what you say, the king of army just because he could dance. Some people are like what? Chris is the king of pop because he can dance.
Starting point is 01:10:58 like that's a part of it. Yeah. Entertainment. Nobody can entertain and perform like Chris Brown. That's a fact. None of y'all. Now, Usher does a great job at doing what he does. Yeah, Usher's still really a phenomenal performance.
Starting point is 01:11:12 Let's not forget his Las Vegas residency, the things he did. And he 40 something right now. Performing the whole set on roller skates, him in his background. Like, he just did shit that we was like, nah, he's smoking this shit. Yeah, yeah. But, all right, I'll put it this way. When it comes to R&B, Adel is not any, less of a legend in R&B
Starting point is 01:11:30 because she doesn't do that. But if Adele started doing Tiana Taylor moves, that's a stat. Yeah, like that's, yeah, like that's a stat. That's an A&1. That's a bitch. Del is a legend. She can sit on piano, sit here, do whatever
Starting point is 01:11:44 because her voice carries. She's amazing. She doesn't need to do that. I'm not saying that's a requirement. She don't need to do that. But if she started dating like, we're not doing that. We ain't going to act like that.
Starting point is 01:11:53 That don't matter. Let me tell you something. She don't need to do that. But if she woke up with the ability to dance like Beyonce. That's a fact. She would be on the phone with her lawyer. Her manager
Starting point is 01:12:04 and everybody else in the camp and saying, we're about to turn this shit up. A whole other level. All the way up. All the way up. Are you kidding me? It's not a defining factor.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Yeah, it's a staff. It's not a defining factor. These people are art, they're legends and their own rights. They're all talented. But if y'all think that some of these legends ain't sitting back in like, damn, I wish I could dance like this nigga on everything.
Starting point is 01:12:28 and everything. Two people that's not human to me, Chris Brown and Beyonce. Not fucking human. I wish I could perform like this. I wish I could. We hit all the time. You go out, you like,
Starting point is 01:12:38 I love the clip of when Jay was on the, what's the shit, the shop? Oh yeah. And he was saying how he would have to go on after DMX.
Starting point is 01:12:51 That's a perfect example. He's backstage watching DMX. Two nigs that don't dance. They just rap. he backs it he said you DMX then took these people from crying to sweating
Starting point is 01:13:05 shirts off and then ends it with a prayer and he got to go on after that and then it's like okay your turn what nigger what I can't make these niggas cry
Starting point is 01:13:18 I damn sure didn't plan on praying but show didn't plan I'm not taking my shirt off like all the shit Jay is never do it. He's like, I got to go on after DMX. So, yes, it's a thing. And that's
Starting point is 01:13:33 why to me this Usher Chris Brown tour is special because both of these guys have some of the same abilities. They both can dance. They both can sing. They both can entertain. They're both attractive to women.
Starting point is 01:13:49 They're both, you know what I'm saying? So it's like it's like this thing. It's like, yeah, I'm 47. Chris is 30-something. so it's kind of like yeah I've been there done that young you know what I'm saying oh let me show you the old the old man still got it because that's what it really is the usher just showing y'all in there I'm still in shape literally what it is
Starting point is 01:14:07 I still could take my shirt off I still look good I still got a full head of hair sounded incredible too yeah I still got all my teeth you feel what I'm saying and usher's like yeah nah you you're nice nigga but you can't do it like this though that's what this is so now if this doesn't happen though
Starting point is 01:14:25 if Usher can't dance. Yeah. Like this tour don't even make sense. This don't happen unless they both have similar abilities. Similar superpowers. But this is kind of like a, this was the guy before me. Now it's my Chris is now. And it's homage both ways.
Starting point is 01:14:43 Yeah. Yeah. But Usher ain't, we ain't going to, he ain't ready to retire no time soon. For sure. You get what I'm saying? Like he still, the Vegas residency he did a few years ago. I don't know. A bunch of niggas flew out to go see that.
Starting point is 01:14:54 And it was like, yo, bro, that shit is incredible. It's incredible. I went, I don't even like going to R&B shows. Same. I saw Usher at Barclays. I'm just saying, niggas taking their shirt. I'm just not, you know, I'm putting cologne on to go see a nigga's shirt off.
Starting point is 01:15:06 It's just a little weird to me. I don't overthink it that way, but yeah, bud. I do. You just take a date. Like a regular person. No, for sure. But do you really want to, though? Because they're in there.
Starting point is 01:15:15 So I was like, do you really want to? But either way. Yes. I went to go see it because I'm just like, let me just go see if Usher is still, bro, you can't tell that that man is 47, bro. Yeah, yeah. Like, he ain't moving like a 47-year-old niggas. Like, he still, he don't look like he can't get his spin-off.
Starting point is 01:15:32 He don't look like he can't get the step out the shoes that he did on the joint. He still got all of them. I saw the tour show and I saw him at Dreamville Fest. And both times it was like, it's unbelievable. There is no, you don't see no fall off. He doesn't look like Aaron Rogers last week. No, you don't see no tapering off. You don't look like AI on the Grizzlies.
Starting point is 01:15:50 It doesn't look like none of that. It don't look like none of that. It don't look like none of that. He looked like he's still on top of his game. One thing I could promise both of you gentlemen, R. Kelly could never perform. Like you did one of these two niggas right here. He could never.
Starting point is 01:16:05 Now, he could put some records on and sing, and it's going to be like, I'm talking about the entertainment level. I agree. Did you get your shots? Yeah, and even shit like that, like niggas is talking about longevity, Arkelly, longevity.
Starting point is 01:16:17 Arkelly didn't stop like. Oh, you can sing that because that's your name. You ever got that off to it shit? No, I have not got that up to. Who wants to come back to America with Rob? No. With Rob. I don't want to be nowhere associated.
Starting point is 01:16:30 Did you get your shot? I'm a motherfucker. Do you have your passport? I'm a junior. My pops be getting that off. Did you get your shot? My pops is, that's a whole different conversation. But he's getting that up.
Starting point is 01:16:43 We do. We're robbed to America. Why? Can you find that? No, no, no. No, don't know. You're tripping. Don't play that.
Starting point is 01:16:49 He's a pedophile, bro. We're not pulling none of that up. Fuck him. I hope they kill that. Okay, I'm with you. Fuck that now. That was on live, like, that was on cable TV. I was insane.
Starting point is 01:17:00 I'll possibly sing that shit for show. Yeah, but I hope this Chris Brown shit is not anything to do with usher, man, because I was at the best of both worlds tour. Again, I want to keep talking about this piece of shit. That shit went left really fast, only because of ego. You got Jay, you got R. Kelly. Yeah. Or Kelly didn't like the fact that Jay was getting a bigger applause when Jay went out to do his set.
Starting point is 01:17:30 He didn't like that. So that turns into somebody pointed a gun at nobody got a gun to Madison Square Garden. No, in the front row, they had it. I can promise you no nigger has ever gotten a gun to Madison Square Garden. Maybe an artist, but not nobody that was in the crowd. Hell no. They had it right there. That's what he said.
Starting point is 01:17:48 He had sunglasses. That was all based on ego. Ego. R. Kelly felt like he was the guy. I'm R. Kelly. They all here to see. No, they not. No, they not.
Starting point is 01:18:00 Especially in Madison Square Garden. No, they, when the first show was in Chicago, even in Chicago, Cal's got his, you know, because he was happy to see. But when that, at that time, Jay-Z? Yeah, yeah. Get the fuck out of him. It's different.
Starting point is 01:18:13 I mean, I watched it. The only problem R. Kelly has is that he has too big of a heart. That's what he told Gail. He said, that's his, like, There's anything he regrets. He regrets that he only had a big heart. That's what he said to Gail's place. Why are we, why taxpaying dollars going to feeding that mother?
Starting point is 01:18:30 Gail said, you do you think you anything wrong? I think the only thing I did wrong is that I think I have too big of a heart. His, his brother said, which is even crazier, there's some men that are attracted to older women. He just attracted to younger women. Yeah. Which is the crazy. Yeah. If there was any of you talking about it, it was his own brother.
Starting point is 01:18:52 What the fuck? He just happened to be attracted to Yucre. What the fuck are you talking about? Like, what the fuck? His own blood, brother. I beat the shit out of pee. Oh, shit. Please.

Starting point is 01:21:59 Or wherever you get your podcasts. Do we want to get into this outcast versus Overcast? You want to get into this. You've been talking about this. I don't know what this is. I mean, not that it's that big of a deal. But Outcast is suing rapper and producer Overcast over his stage name. Now, I'll give you the details because everyone's going back and forth.
Starting point is 01:22:25 And I've tried to figure out exactly what's true and what's not true. So a while ago, Overcast was sent, not a lawsuit, but a, hey, maybe you need to change your name. Because Outcast doesn't even really own, not the rights to their name, but the trademark is owned by a third party company, which especially if you signed in the 90s. So the third party company sent it. Third party, which is High Schoolers LLC, is a trademark company. And when you sell your life rights to everybody without knowing it when you're 19 years old, you have no idea who even owns a trade. trademarked outcast at this point. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:00 So they had reached out to Overcast a long time ago about switching it. And I don't know if there was a real understanding that it was going to happen, but there was a date that it needed to change. And there was a verbal agreement. And it didn't change. They didn't change. So now they sent a lawsuit, but Rolling Stone posted it as Outcast sues overcast over the trademark name. Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:22 And we're not even sure that Andre or Big Boy has any idea that this is happening. Because they technically don't even really own the trademark. I'm sure there's a clause where they can say yes or no of how their likeness is used. But I don't think they have a yes or no on the admin side of who's suing and who's not suing. Yeah, I'm about saying, if Andre 3,000 and Big Boys suing overcast over that, the big is corny. But I doubt that that's what I'm saying. Now that you're telling me that that makes a lot. Yeah, but overcastle also is very simple.
Starting point is 01:23:53 Just change the spelling. Nah, he shouldn't change shit. For what? But what would you change? For this? To avoid this. And fuck them white people that are trying to sue him. No offense, Roy.
Starting point is 01:24:03 But yeah, like, fuck them. What they're going to do? I would have sued him. Sue him. You were sued? No, I'm talking. But they're saying that he's admitting because of his interview was thrown that it is. He didn't admit it.
Starting point is 01:24:15 He said in the interview, the worst thing I get is like the nigger think he outcast. And it's like, no, bro, I wasn't even thinking about outcast. Basically, I wouldn't even think about them when I named myself overcast. So. Yeah, but you could name yourself overcast. It's just the spelling of it. I think it's just that it's so close to Outcast, like Outcast, Overcast. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:24:34 I should Rizzo sued Siza? She's admitted that she got Siza from Rizzo. Yeah, like I just think that like... But it makes sense, though, now that it's like you're seeing that it's like a third-party company. Like, this is an artist-to-artist thing because I think artists to artists, that just looked crazy to me. Like, especially when you're not even doing it no more. Like, Outcast ain't even a thing no more. Like, last time Andre was outside, he was playing the flute.
Starting point is 01:24:57 So that's not a thing. So it's like if it was artist to artists but we're active, you get them saying, like I'm actively still building my shit or, you know, doing shit. I get what you saying. Yeah, that's different. I do think that is, there's a difference. But if I'm overcast, I'm not changing shit. I mean, shout out to Overcast, he's fired. I think if you just add the E in there. Incredible producers. But I think, but I just think if you just add the E in there to over, I think it just changes everything. I don't think it's the fact that the K is, is the K capitalized? I was just about to say, that's what I'm, it's still O and the K.
Starting point is 01:25:26 Yeah. That's what I said. If you just add the E right there between the VNR, changes everything. Okay, but what, all right, I hear you all. In the legal terms, I get that because the legal eagles are only looking at what is on paper. But let's speak, I guess, from a cultural standpoint. Is anyone really confusing that? Did you, did you guys think Outcast produced two records on Iceman?
Starting point is 01:25:49 Because I didn't. He spoke to it. He spoke to it. He said he was like, yo, niggas be seen. He think he outcast. But who? a faceless person on Twitter? These are his words.
Starting point is 01:26:00 Some ask. His own word. I don't know. He said that's the worst thing he'd get. It's like, yo, the nigger think he outcast. It's like, no, I wasn't even thinking about outcast. I think that he's telling the truth there that he wasn't. Which as an artist I could say.
Starting point is 01:26:13 But the fact that he's saying the worst thing he gets is people thinking that. It was probably three fake pages that said that shit. And just as an artist, we'd be sensitive about our shit. So it probably wasn't even that many people that confused. Yeah. Now, if he was. Three comments is mad comments, though. No, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:26:27 C, T. Com is like, this shit is trash. Like, oh, no, that's like, what? Like, and again, 4,000 people say it's fire, but it's like, three comments, shit trash. And I think that's his, I think that that's his own, like, insecurity because he know when he spelt his name out like that, using that K instead of a C, you knew that Outkast used that.
Starting point is 01:26:45 You thought about it. You can't say you didn't think about it. You thought about it. I can't. I can't. Nobody else spells out. Nobody else spells cast with a K. It's always spelled with a C. Only Outcast has done that. Maybe Bloods, I don't know. They for sure do that. That niggas of blood.
Starting point is 01:26:59 If we want anything from this situation, is that overcast? But I can see like, and again, I think trademark companies, whether Outcast had hired them or they actually own the trademark, is there to protect you and they're just doing their job. But if he was making merch that had the Outcast logo, but with shit, now I could see that. But if you're just doing shit, just producing for people?
Starting point is 01:27:24 If Overcast was a group and it was two people. Not even that. I'm just saying if you started using our logos and spelling it different, like, the way PG and I did every trademark infringement you could possibly think of in Palooza, that if we got a lawsuit in Paloosa, I could totally fucking see. Like, it makes, that was kind of the point of everything was to do trademark infringement. But he's not, from my understanding, I could be wrong. Does he have, like, merch and shit that's under?
Starting point is 01:27:51 Because at that point, I don't think so. I don't think so. I think that this is just white people trying to get. they money. That's what I personally think. Or trying to, you know, in some type of way, figure out a way to keep the thing relevant, but I don't see it that way. Part of me feels like... Relative. Andre and Big Boy, not about this when the rest of us did. I can't see either of them, like, going out their way to try to sue this gentleman. I just don't see it.
Starting point is 01:28:20 Yeah, I don't think that is... Yeah, it sounds like it's the company. Yeah, it sounds like it's the company. I don't think it's Big Boy and Andre. They probably found out about this when we did. Okay, but even with that, it is not what I think, despite my skin. I mean, that's the trademark rules. Well, that's fair. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:43 Like, at the end of the day, the rules are the rules and people go, you know what I mean? Here's my thing. I think sampling is the most important thing in hip-hop, and I also do love when producers can chop something up so much that you can't even recognize there's a sample there. For sure. I myself have had samples replayed so we don't have to do that.
Starting point is 01:29:00 But at the end of the day, if you catch somebody with a sample, that person's owed. Yeah, for sure. Even though I hate that, I think you should be able to sample anybody music without even asking. Nah, fuck no.
Starting point is 01:29:08 I think you should. Without asking. What? No, no. I think that there should be a tact on percentage. Well, that's, I mean,
Starting point is 01:29:15 that I'm just saying, I think that you shouldn't have to ask. I think that there should be a tacton percentage that if you sample somebody's shit, it's just like an across-the-board thing that person is automatically given once you sample this shit. You say that to R. Kelly, you say that to R. Kelly try to sample you.
Starting point is 01:29:31 And now you got a pedophile on your record. I think I would be, I wouldn't, I wouldn't, that don't got nothing to do with me. Like, it wouldn't bother me. I'm being serious. I wouldn't bother me if a pedophile sampled one of your songs. Can we just take the pedophile? Why, wait, so you really think people should be able to just take a Marvin Gay song and Marvin Gay not be, his estate, not be compensated for it?
Starting point is 01:29:53 I think they should be compensated whatever that. You shouldn't have a percentage. It has like a fixed thing. Like I don't think I should have to go hit up Marvin Gay's estate. I don't think you- Permission to sample Marvin Gaye. I think I should be able to sample that shit, put it out, and there should be a fixed percent that just goes to the estate
Starting point is 01:30:10 and there is no conversation about it. Complete it. And the fixed thing is fucked up in that regard. Because you've been in plenty of sessions where, all right, if this record is 80% drums and 10% baseline, I'm splitting it with the bass player? The whole record is me And he added in
Starting point is 01:30:27 And now all of a sudden We get the same split But I know That's different though Because we're making that record Like If it's 90% sample You deserve
Starting point is 01:30:36 The person that you're sampling deserves that money But no record is 90% sample Shee Not 90 What I'm gonna say no There's a few There's a few
Starting point is 01:30:45 But what I'm saying is that like That's not Someone I consider a friend's whole That's not That's why I say I agree There's a few But that's not the normal The normal cases
Starting point is 01:30:53 That niggas are taking the entire thing and sampling it like that. And I don't know what the percentage is. That's for the other people to figure out if they did this. But I just think it's corny that like niggas will make like I'm always on the side of the art. So it's like if niggas make a fire record and then that record get held up because there's an older artist that is trying to like unrealistically taxing they're going to be able
Starting point is 01:31:16 to use this and they just make it so difficult that they got to scrap. I'm always on the side of like I want the music. I see your perspective there. There should be some type of like. sample union where a family can just buy into a union and they can cut similar to a trademark thing where a third party company is controlling all that that's what I'm saying and you just getting checks that third party should have rights to figure out what they're owed in that sample like I think robin thick T.I. Farrell I think they got fucked over by Marvin Gay's one thousand percent. I think that was
Starting point is 01:31:46 such a minuscule thing that they didn't deserve that much. And that's what I'm talking about. Hart part five. Yep. Yep. I mean, that's, that's the entire thing is Marvin Gay. 1,000%. So I think they deserve more there as opposed to a T.I. Maybe there's a union. I just don't think that niggas should be able to say no. And to be honest, what you, if you did it that way,
Starting point is 01:32:06 I actually think people would make more money because if you knew about the amount of times people wanted to sample something and they literally just didn't do it because they don't want to deal with the headache of doing it, it would be free reign. And niggas will sample all the time. People would just wake up and get checks every month. But I only use Marvin Gay's... But the music was there because...
Starting point is 01:32:26 The music was... The quality of a lot of music was... Everyone shouldn't be able to sample thriller. Everyone shouldn't be able to sample Marvin Gay without a clearance. And they shouldn't be able to. Zatoba should be able to chop up there and put some trap drums on that bitch.
Starting point is 01:32:38 But that's Zayth... But that's Zaytholden. A lot of these niggas are not Zaytobin. Zay should. There's... I think it was Smokey Robinson that spoke about this. And he was saying he loves when artists sample him.
Starting point is 01:32:51 Yeah. Because it's like it keeps my music... That's how I feel. Like, when we was having, like, I don't want to be on record saying I would love a better. Because, no, of course I wouldn't. But anybody that sampled, anybody that sampled my music, I would be, like, I would never say no to, like, you get what I'm saying? Unless it's like a nigga, I literally have a issue with. But even then, I don't think I should be allowed to, like, it keeps the music alive.
Starting point is 01:33:14 I think if I do some shit that's dope. To a nigga, you don't like sample your song dissing you. Then I just got this fixed, you got this fixed percentage coming in. And you just like, fuck it, I got to eat that. Nah, shit. Hell no. Fuck that. Pull up and see any person.
Starting point is 01:33:28 And nigga's like, oh, this shit way better than reason shit. You're mad as fuck. Yeah, nigga on that shit, reason. Committed treason. And you're like, yo, fuck it. I'm getting this. Why? I always go to treason when it comes to reason, bro.
Starting point is 01:33:40 I'm not a rabble. A lot of reasons. But yeah, that's the side I'm on. I think that everybody should be able to just sample shit. And it should just, and maybe, like you said, maybe it's not a fixed percent. Maybe it's a committee that they decide how much you get based on you get them saying like what what part of the sample is used or how much of the
Starting point is 01:33:56 sample is used and honestly niggas make more money so they'll just be getting checks every month i talked to uh yani about this and this is copywritten so anyone that tries to steal this idea uh you can't take it from me i talked to yani about when we saw everyone selling their catalogs um if there was a retainer rate where you can take my catalog to sample and you could pay $1,500 a month and you could take my entire catalog and chop it up any way you want that's fire that was yeah but that's already in the works of being copyrighted. So you guys can't steal it. Sorry. But yeah, similar to what you're saying to avoid that,
Starting point is 01:34:28 of people could just buy into a place where anyone can chop up their shit and not have to worry about a clearance. Exactly. You page your 1500. Yeah, and the committee figures out how much the song you get and they just sit. And then every month you just get the check. Yeah. You just get the check.
Starting point is 01:34:41 And it come to your door and, you know what I'm saying? You ain't got to pay lawyers to go hunt shit down and do all that. Because it's like, it just get corny at a certain point when it's like, it's always this old artist that's like not even. relevant no more and they just throw in a fit because somebody then caught a record with their joint when it's like you can embrace them you could get your bread and embrace them and make a moment you get what I'm saying like and become part of that moment but now you just look like the bitter old nigga that's like hating because a young nigga that sampled your shit and threw
Starting point is 01:35:10 trap drums on it and made it hit record like which is so easy to do too it's all right shit shit shit like what is this K1 shit baby D uh okay okay not the K one I like K1 I like K1 is currently being she's catching a lot of backlash because she had an interview and she went on there and talked about a previous interview she had did where they asked her
Starting point is 01:35:34 who her celebrity crush was and she said Kiki Palmer. On this most recent interview, she said that that was a joke. She was like, yeah, no, that's not like, it was like a joke. My team told me to say that like my real celebrity crush is Alexa Demi.
Starting point is 01:35:47 So she's currently catching a lot of backlash because it's like, oh, you're pandering to your light skin, your crush's light skin, your ex-girlfriend's light skin, but you're pandering to darker-skinned black women. You know that darker-skinned American black women
Starting point is 01:36:03 push the culture. You need their support if you're going to be successful, so you pander to them. And she's catching a lot of backlash for that. And I wanted to know you guys's thoughts. Anytime I see the words, dark-skinned black women, all together, I get scared. and I don't want to.
Starting point is 01:36:21 Well, let me start by saying I think Kiki Palmer is beautiful. Extremely. Here we go. Huge. But I do think it's progress that's progress that somebody from the LGBTQ community can also get canceled too. We're making progress. Let's cancel the guys as well. I didn't know where you was going with that one.
Starting point is 01:36:46 But you sure brought that one home, Larry. I didn't know where you were going. I didn't expect that curveball. Which, yes, you brought that one home. This is progress. Seeing a lesbian be careful. Yes, finally a lesbian can get canceled too. The world is healing.
Starting point is 01:37:00 The world is healing. We're finding an equal play. That was, this is what I've been looking for. That was Dave Chappelle. You got your own flag. You have your own letters. Now you get canceled with anybody else. You have to walk on eggshells as well.
Starting point is 01:37:12 You have to watch what you're saying. Even when you're gay. You have to. You have to. to watch what you say even with your gay. Welcome. Welcome home. Now you know how it feels
Starting point is 01:37:27 to be an equal in the world. We all live under the same rules, the same government. The same bag shells. We will all have our great feet held to the gay fire. K1,
Starting point is 01:37:42 your ass is out of it. I love you. We love you. We love you. Great album. Your asses out of it. K-1. Come and sit down next to us. We've all been canceled.
Starting point is 01:37:54 You want to dress like a man. God damn it. You'll be persecuted and prosecuted as a man. Come sit right here, K1. God damn it. Some next to some baggy pants. Yeah. You want to win.
Starting point is 01:38:07 I got hats too, K1. Come sit right here. Yeah, we got a fitted hat for you. A fitted hat versus me and K1. Yeah, nah, but I mean, we'll put your logo upside down. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got tears about it. But K-Wole, listen, man.
Starting point is 01:38:22 I love K-Wood. What the best projects I've heard of it? The album is incredible. But, you know, listen, man, now they feel like you, you know, you light-skinned, you know, Lyskin Brigade, you don't really do the dark butts. There you go.
Starting point is 01:38:35 She's got to stop. What? She did come out and apologize. She said, yo, I feel like I need to come out here and address the situation. I bet you do, K-Wil. This is called the podium. Did she wear?
Starting point is 01:38:45 What she wore? I got to know what she was wearing. She had to know what she was wearing. Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton. Oh, did she. Did she have the cardiac clear? They put on the suits with the, with the cardiades.
Starting point is 01:38:55 Yeah. You know, they put on the mock and the turtleneck. It was no fit to that podium. It was like a black china suing. That's the suit. And look, they always put on. She had on a regular outfit. She just came and made a regular, like, IG story type video.
Starting point is 01:39:08 Like, yo, I need to address this right now. What was she wearing? Pull up the video, Ryan. Did she have a gown on? Here come to rebrand. A gown is crazy. She had a gown on. A gown is crazy.
Starting point is 01:39:18 If she got canceled and went straight, that would be crazy. Yeah. No, she kept the G. She kept the G. Oh, she went to the corner like she on a... No, but it's a turtleneck, though. You do know it's the turtleneck. Okay, but she's in the corner like she on episode of colors.
Starting point is 01:39:30 Like, she's shooting the colors of. Yo, please. YouTube, okay. I don't, so my thing... Why are you that close to the corner? My thing with K-1 is she hired her for a team. It's a bunch of light-skinned women in the room. It's scary.
Starting point is 01:39:42 I still love you. Scary. Let me handle this real quick. I'm going back to my life skin. I think that I think that I don't think that she needs to be canceled. I don't even think she was aware when she was talking because she said it so blah blah, blah. I don't even think she was aware of what she was saying.
Starting point is 01:39:59 That's what cancel happened. Yeah. You don't know what you just said is about to get you canceled. I think her team hurt like her team is the people who are the people who deserve the backlash. Like she literally said my team fed me that answer. Your team knows what they're doing. They know who they're marketing towards. So that's why they gave you that answer.
Starting point is 01:40:15 And it's and it's messed up because I was talking about it. First off, I think this whole thing is ridiculous. It's stupid as fuck. It's stupid as hell. But I saw people in the comments saying stuff like, you had all these dark-skinned women in your videos. Yo, you show up to video sets, and it just be women there. Right.
Starting point is 01:40:32 Like, you don't always, I'm being serious. You don't. Now, now, I swear. Now, do you have the ability to choose? I'm about to say, now, you have the ability to choose. When she gets in trouble at is that they got a video. her going through a color palette. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:49 Palette? Oh my God. And she's like, yo, she's doing the brown bag challenge with them like, come stand next to this brown bag. And she's like, yo, get her out of here. Majority of the times that you have a big budget video, which I'm sure K1's videos are for sure. Majority of times if you have a big budget video, there is somebody that
Starting point is 01:41:04 picks the girls and you just show up unless you go that far because you do have the choice to be like Let me see who you cast. Yeah, let me see who you cast. But a lot of artists, you just show up and it just be women at the video and then you do the scenes or you might be like,
Starting point is 01:41:20 I don't want to do the main scene with her. You know what I mean? I'd rather do it with her. Like, so that does happen. But you're not as the artist sitting there scrolling through a, like, it's rush hour. You get what I'm saying, rush hour too where you got the women lined up
Starting point is 01:41:32 and then you pick and you don't do that. So it's like a lot of times like going back to what D said, like your team does have a lot to do with that. And you just kind of going along with it because you're getting through the interview or getting through the video and that shouldn't necessarily be the backlash. You know what stupid about all of this? Because I can attest to that though.
Starting point is 01:41:46 Let's just say, bro. Let's just say she just, she likes, light skin women. What is wrong with that? I was going to get into that too. Why you just can't have a preference?
Starting point is 01:41:54 I don't think so. But now I get what you're saying, saying a dark skin woman to seem like because you want to pander. Yes, that's where, because that's my issue with her and her team where her team fucked her up. Well, actually, she fucked herself up because you shouldn't repeat with your team.
Starting point is 01:42:07 You should have never said that. Like you didn't have to tell what your team is saying. You got to hold that down. Yeah, you got hold that down. But you could have just said, yeah, Celebrity Crush was Alexa Demi.
Starting point is 01:42:15 At the time, allegedly you were dating Kaylani. You know what I'm saying? So it's no secret that you like light skin. I was sure about saying. There's no secret that you like light skin women. I'm giving pushback there. I don't care if you prefer white women or darksy women.
Starting point is 01:42:29 You also like Kaylani. Right. That's not exactly true. That's not exactly true. Well, my whole thing, yes, I get what you're saying. But my whole thing is that at the end of the day, you clearly do like light skin women. So even if your crush actually was Kiki,
Starting point is 01:42:44 it ain't crazy to then for your crush to be Alexa Demi. Alexidemi. Like that's not... For people who don't know that's Maddie from Euphoria. Okay.
Starting point is 01:42:54 I actually didn't know who it was. Yes. Alexa Demi, please pull up a picture of Alexa Demi. That's my celebrity crush. That bitch bad. But you could have just said that. Is she black? No.
Starting point is 01:43:04 I only like black woman. If I'm... She looked close enough though. She can get a pass. Yeah. That's Madie. She's from Euphoria. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:10 Kay 1, we support you over here at New Rory and all. But listen, man. They holding you to the fire. Stop telling on your team. Stop telling on your team. Hold it down. Tell them,
Starting point is 01:43:20 niggas, man. The team, hold it down. That's the best escape. The best escape, even if her team didn't tell her to do that, say your team did it. Tell on your team, man. They don't got no face.
Starting point is 01:43:30 She didn't even even have to say it like, yo, at that year, when I answered that, that was my crush. She could have left it at that. She could have kept the, kept the, that's the team's job. Yeah, but there's no reason to come out of the team. Yeah, but there's no reason to come out.
Starting point is 01:43:40 Why was you saying that? At that time, yeah, I did, I did have a crush of Kiki, but now my crush is... That was why I was confused. And I'm like, you could have had a crush on Kiki. Why not? And you could still have a crush on. That's in that. But that's where the killing is going from because it's like, why...
Starting point is 01:43:53 She was like, yeah, that was a joke. You only said that. Why are you saying that a crush on Kiki is a joke? Right. You know how messed up my traumatized mind was behind that? The first thing I went to was like, Kallani caught her cheating with Kiki. Stop. What's wrong with you?
Starting point is 01:44:09 That was a joke. Hey. Hey, I ain't fuck with her. That was a joke. Yeah, like, hey, it might be some, he might be on to something. Hey, hey, is it a reach? He might be on to something. She got the cheating and fit it all.
Starting point is 01:44:21 Yeah, it's like, yo, listen, like, you know what? Like, I, nah, that wasn't. I was just, that was just totally shit. Because Kalani may have, may a car. I was just fucking opposed. I was going to get right back. Yeah. Okay, but that's how I should get in.
Starting point is 01:44:31 Wait, so here's, no, because here's how fuck because I can't talk. You know what if, what if K1? You're saying K1 only like, like, she probably got a super-fired African. Yeah. She was a date in the UK. She probably got the whole... She probably got a super fine, dark African girl. Man, I was going to say...
Starting point is 01:44:46 My theory was that Kalani caught some shit, but K-1 kind of got out of it. So then when they brought it up, she was like... Man, I was joking about that. I wasn't hitting that. My sick-ass brain was like, if they not on good terms, then it's...
Starting point is 01:45:02 Nah, I know you saw me DM in this one chick. Now, my crush ain't Kiki. My crush is Alexa Demi. Because you saw me DM in her. Now I'm pissing you off. But that is definitely not. what happened, but that's the way my... We don't know.
Starting point is 01:45:14 We don't know. It can be a lot of these things. We just don't want to reach it to the white boy. These are people's real lives, so I don't want to put that out there. We're just... Kewan could have been like, yeah, right. That's the homie. That's bro-nam. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:29 I was joking. And then now she got some backlash from the dark skin. She's like, oh, I didn't mean it like that. When really, she was just trying to get out of some shit with Kelani. Because they look like they'll fight. Yeah, for sure. Kailani and Kailani and Kew. Come on.
Starting point is 01:45:42 They thumping. K. Sure. They shit moving in that condo about to be fucked up. It's going to be shit everywhere. That's outselling any Logan Paul fight. Yeah, yeah, 100%. Jake Paul, anyone.
Starting point is 01:45:56 Kaylani is shaped like a motherfucker. Jake Paul will be an undercard to that fight. Right. For sure. Kaylani is a friend of the show. We don't want to go. We love Kalani. I love Kalani.
Starting point is 01:46:04 I love Kalani. I'm just saying if you and K1, you know, just want somebody to come and watch the game with, I'm free to come over and join the ladies. Just putting that out there. All right. This is a teachable moment for Ryan, though, because Ryan's now part of the team.
Starting point is 01:46:21 Like, you have to fall on the sword sometime. Yeah, man. We got to blame you for some shit. Throw Ryan under that bus, man. Yeah, I don't know why. That's the point of a team. I don't know why you type that shit on the screen. Ryan, he got time to recover.
Starting point is 01:46:35 Like, he recovered from that shit. Ryan can't hold water. We do, we commit a crime ahead. Robbie O' Vlad. Vlad. What? You might make Ryan sound of Indy-A-A-A-G. They just treat me like a dog. He going to give it all up. He going to be the first one at the fucking complex.
Starting point is 01:46:54 Nah. But to me, that is the point, though. You have to blame your team for shit. No, 100%. What are they there for? That's the whole point. And even then, though, you look crazy listening to your team in that regard. Yeah, there's certain things you can't say.
Starting point is 01:47:07 My team did that. Yeah, you can't say that. And who's a, all right. Step forward. Who on your team said it? Right. Let's see who still got a job. Come on.
Starting point is 01:47:17 Yeah. Who, who from Pepsi did the Kendall Jenner commercial? If the team is doing the shit, I want to see who said to do it. Because we all get canceled, but the team stays. They keep having jobs.
Starting point is 01:47:29 We can't cancel K1 though, man. No. We can scale a little bit, though. I don't think she deserves to be canceled. Let's scare. Let's just scale a little bit. Sometimes you need to be scared. And her music.
Starting point is 01:47:36 And K1, don't say that again. Don't do that again, K1. Yeah. And you got a date. You got a date. You got her with the. Yeah, you got to date now. You got to pop out with a fine brown dark.
Starting point is 01:47:45 Don't do that. Dark. Don't do that. You got to. Pop out. It's for formative. Don't do that. I mean,
Starting point is 01:47:50 that's a thing. Victoria Monet, that's a good balance. That's like when they say you don't date, that's like when they say you don't date black women and then you pop out with the black. Don't do that. Who's done that? We're laughing at the internet because.
Starting point is 01:48:01 I'm not even name. No, I'm really asking. I'm not naming. I'm only saying that because I'm laughing at people because we don't know every girl that K1 has ever dated. No. And I'm pretty. I know she did knock down a bunch of dark skin.
Starting point is 01:48:11 From the UK from over there? I don't know why y'all keep saying that. Like it's not well known. And this is not on K-1, we're moving off. Just people from the UK are very well known to be colorist. No, that's not. Oh, I see. Oh, I see.
Starting point is 01:48:21 Oh, I'll take this. Yes, they are. It's like my Hollywood is known. The UK is known to be very colorous. Very colorous. The men and the women. But it's also very known that is beautiful dark-skinned women in the UK. They are.
Starting point is 01:48:34 And those dark-skinned women in the UK complain about the people in the UK maybe in colors all the time. People, Dawson girls in LA complain. Dallas and girls in New York complain. LA and there's colors. They make the same. Girls be walking up in slides talking about they colors. No, bitch, you have on some crazy shit.
Starting point is 01:48:50 You're a bum. And you can't come into Poppy. Looking like you should be. I love what they do that. You know, they don't like Dawson girls and Poppy. You have party on Western. Or you got a party on Western fit on you have Poppy. Yeah, like you walked up with some Nike slides on and try to get in.
Starting point is 01:49:05 And they just wasn't with that. And we can't let you in. Because offsets in there. He's a hotline. He'd be understanding. He's fucking up the fucking talent. Oh, my gosh, man. All right.
Starting point is 01:49:18 When we done? That was it? Mm-hmm. Oh, they want us to sing happy birthday to you. I never says sing. I just, it says wish. I wish you a happy birthday. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:49:28 I wish you one. Happy, I like saying different, happy born day. Thank you, man. Ball's big on Happy Earth Day. Yes. Let's all say something nice about Mom. What do we, what do we all like about ball for his birthday? Roy, you go first.
Starting point is 01:49:41 So gay. I feel like I'm like a cover of a hole. Rory, say something nice about Maw. I like his cargoes and how it matches his hat. Thank you, Rory. Appreciate that. Reason. I like that mall is always the same person.
Starting point is 01:49:54 Thank you, Reason. Always the same person. Thank you. Consistency. Yeah. I've been this way forever. I was born by the pussy. I was going to die by the pussy.
Starting point is 01:50:06 I like, I like. What I like about Mall is that we both agree that double or nothing means double or nothing. Man, I love that about mom. That's stupid-ass time I'm saying. I never knew that that was the origin of how you could like trust somebody. It's like, wait, okay, so double or nothing. Simple to me. Ain't they killing you on the Internet for that reason?
Starting point is 01:50:30 No, they actually agree with me. Okay. Yeah, I'm on a good side of it. Because he's right. Yeah, I'm on a good side of it this time. Yeah, because I was right. Yeah, but I'm on a good side of that this time. All right, well, good talking to you, Bree.
Starting point is 01:50:41 Well, no, I want to know what Jamarison is. Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, come on. Put the little music behind it, Pia. I like the way you smell. You smell really, really good. More now. You always, you always smell good.
Starting point is 01:50:51 You never stink. Got that shit on. And that's, that's what I like. And I do like that you are very kind to women and respectful of women. Maybe not on this, in front of these mics, but behind closed doors. Okay. On these mics, I'm not respectful to women? No.
Starting point is 01:51:06 No, no. You're a raging misogynist in front of these mics. But in real life, what people do not know is you are not as silly and animated in real life. In real life, you are actually very calm, cool, and sweet and welcoming. So that is my favorite thing about it. Thank you, baby. I appreciate that. Like I told you, I was born by the pussy.
Starting point is 01:51:25 I'm going to die by the... There's nothing I love more than pussy. Oh, my Lord. So shout out to everybody out there. That was born. That was born. That was born. That was born.
Starting point is 01:51:36 One more thing. One more thing. I hate praising men. That's crazy. There are a lot of things. There are a lot of things. You are the same person. You are the same person when it comes to you stand in our business. There are a lot of things that me and P.ge try to cut out of this. So when people say that you're faking for the mics or that you're podcasting, no, you're very honest about your topics. And even when we try to change your mind or try to go a different way and try to produce you, you stand on your square. And I think that is admirable because a lot of people do shit just for content.
Starting point is 01:52:05 Oh, man. I think anybody that's been. following me for however many years I've been podcasting. They know that I'm not doing anything for clicks. But like, I'm glad you just said that because you're like, yo, we'd be cutting some shit out. This is who you are. This is who I am, man. Yeah, I'm the year of the horse. Hey, they said they had it out of you. But it's not the year of the horse. Yeah, but I tried
Starting point is 01:53:53 to make me sound like I was crazy. I knew there was something. That was an uncle ruckus level of racism. I was attached to that. I knew it was something attached to your birth year. So you were born in the year of the horse. That's what I'm trying to look. This is the year of fire horse. Oh, so is your fire year. Oh.
Starting point is 01:54:10 So this is okay. So this is the year that you are finally going to get burnt, Ryan. This is the year. You said you never got burned before. Starting point is 01:55:28 But I do want to see Lamar playing. Yeah. He'll really like, like, look out. He does so. Even like if y'all wanted to go to the practice, he'd take you down to the practice, like in the practice facility, he'd show you around.
Starting point is 01:55:38 They call it the castle. I just want to help Lamar get out of the pocket fast. Just help me, because I'm watching Lamar and he got a little hitching his last little, I could help him with that. So he'll, like, introduce us to, like, players and stuff. Like, all right?
