Starting point is 00:00:05 Hello everybody and welcome the episode 68 of the NXT Clubcast, the official podcast of the NZXD community. This podcast is recorded live every Thursday at 10 a 10 a M Pacific Standard Time of the official NXC Discord server. And it's available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud. So don't forget, everybody, I'm not a businessman. I'm a businessman. My name is Dennis. And with me, returning is Ivan. Hi, Ivan.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Hi, Ivan. Hi, only one and a half hours late today. Yeah, that's it, you know, ain't no big thing. Yeah, we're late because we had a meeting. You know, after important events like sales and launches, we always have like a meeting and talk about it. If you're in a company and you guys don't do that, you're either the most efficient and everything goes perfect
Starting point is 00:00:53 or everything's going wrong. I have a request. What's the request, Ivan? So since I haven't been on the podcast in a couple of weeks. We started this one late. Uh-huh. And I actually got zero sleep last night. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:01:11 When I mean zero-sleep, I mean I did not sleep at all. Like zero-zero. Yeah, I couldn't sleep last night. Right. Can we just like answer questions? Yeah. That's totally fine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:24 If we want to do that, that's totally, totally cool. I was going to ask you a question. Um, so my question. Should we start to go away first or now? Now let's do it like near the end of the middle I want to I want to You know Reward people who like stick around
Starting point is 00:01:41 Everyone's saying I'm kind of quiet in the chat You are? You are? You're like it is You were louder when we started And now you're not as loud How's that? I didn't change anything
Starting point is 00:01:53 I didn't either But it feels like every time you start Let me get out of the Any better Disconnect from the podcast channel Who that helps Yeah, so far, no regrets. Not really.
Starting point is 00:02:05 Everyone's saying that it sounds not different. It should sound different. I literally just bumped it up. So maybe your ears are broken. Is it everyone or just one person? I'm going to quiet a couple people talking about that. Like a couple people saying, I mean, he should be balanced to me at the very least. Everyone's saying, someone saying you're sounding fine.
Starting point is 00:02:26 It's fine for me, but compared to you, he's a bit quiet. I mean, I'm just a loud personality, dude. Here, we'll fix that. Bam. Now it's going to ruin the recording. Nothing we can't fix in a post. Nothing we can't fix. Nothing has changed since I've been gone, still as chaotic as always.
Starting point is 00:02:45 That's the best way to do it. So currently I'm actually sitting in the closed patio of my house, which is not like an airtight area. So all this smoke from the fires is probably getting inside and probably filtering on my lungs right now. So I'm sacrificing for the podcast. I hope you guys are okay with that. Shout out in the, I don't know, F in the chat or something.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Okay, Ivan, my question to you is, I've been hearing some talk about you fighting a gopher. Can you explain what this situation is? Because like you've been gone a lot in the past week or two, and it's due to this gopher. And I feel like the people want to know what's up. So I live at the very bottom of a canyon. For those familiar with the Southern California area, it's Turnbull Canyon.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I literally live right at the bottom of it. And this, like, I never knew this before I lived here, but apparently there's a bunch of gophers in canyons. So I've been dealing with gophers since I've lived here. I've lived here for like, I guess almost six years now. And basically, I guess it's like kind of seasonal. Like they pop up every so often. And they've been relatively quiet for the last couple of months.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Up until about a couple weeks ago, the gas company came and checked the meter as they do on occasion. And I live in a really old house. My house was built in 1955. So my gas meter is actually underground. It's not like a- What? Yeah, it's not like on the wall It's not connected to the house
Starting point is 00:04:35 It's literally underground On the other side of my yard And I have a really big yard It's a tiny house but a big yard So the gas The gas guy He goes to check the gas And he takes off the lid
Starting point is 00:04:51 And it's just like covered in dirt So he comes Tells me he's like, hey man He's like some gophers here Like literally like This droid the the meter here. I'm going to have to dig and I'm going to have to like replace this valve because they chewed through it or something. I'm like, all right, man, do whatever you got to do.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Like, I didn't really question him, right? I was just, I was in the middle of working that day. So anyways, he replaces his valve. He's digging up all day, whatever. I think nothing of it. And then the next day, I'm sitting here working on my desk. And I have a little window next to my desk, and the gas pipe that goes into the house from the gas meter is directly under that window. So all day long, I'm smelling gas, and I didn't think anything of it until at the end of the day when I actually realized, have I been huffing gas all day? Like, what the heck? Like, I come I didn't like get out there early. Yeah, like I didn't think anything.
Starting point is 00:06:02 I thought it was kind of like coming from like a gust of wind or something. Because another thing when you live at the bottom of a canyon is that it's always windy. Like it's just there's always a breeze going on. So I was thinking it, you know, it's probably like from up the street or something. But anyway, I go outside and yeah, I just smelled a bunch of gas. So I called my landlord. She comes over and she's confirmed that she smelled it. she calls the gas company again and they come they come over and the first thing the gas guy
Starting point is 00:06:35 gets says says to us is well I hope you guys have insurance because these gophers literally destroyed your entire infrastructure here and we're going to have to dig up the yard and I hope you know a good plumber because it's going to be a lot of work and yeah so basically long story short because I know it's dragging on now oh jeez like I was without without hot water or gas for like five days. So we were going to my parents' house, my sister-in-law's house to take showers while they were repairing these pipes.
Starting point is 00:07:11 And it's just annoying, man. Like they had to punch a bunch of holes in the yard of the stick to like let the gas escape from the ground. And they dug up huge part of my yard, which sucks. because I'm a proud. I'm proud of my yard. I water it all the time. I like keeping it green.
Starting point is 00:07:34 You know that grass is a huge voice to water, right? Well, I mean, it doesn't rain in Southern California. I got to use water on something. But yeah, as the plumbers were digging up the pipes, they were telling me that these gophers get popping out, like trying to, like, attack them. stuff. I've never heard of attacking gophers, but I know we used to have a couple here.
Starting point is 00:08:01 And I think what my dad did to get rid of him is like he, I don't know if it's like a bomb or something, but it's like this tube that you stick inside the gopher hole and you leave it there for a bit. And it does something. And then all of a sudden that he's like these don't pop up anymore. So I don't know where they're not. I'm not sure if they got like Ben is. Oh, is that what is? This is a smoke bomb? Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Yeah. Yeah. There's also my neighbor across the street. what he does is he buys this really stinky plant that apparently repels gophers
Starting point is 00:08:32 he's telling me about it yeah I think it smells like like garlic and I guess gopher don't like to smell of garlic for some reason is it because they're vampires
Starting point is 00:08:43 is that what it is all right let's see what other questions we have here why has B not been on the podcast so B was supposed to be in the podcast like around her birthday time. But then she got really sick, I think, or something.
Starting point is 00:09:00 I think she had like one of her organs like fall out or something. I don't know. And that kind of derailed everything. And then COVID was like a thing, right? So getting the time off is like really difficult for customer service because you have COVID going on. Right. Everyone's angry. And then like sales are ramping up again.
Starting point is 00:09:16 So everyone's angry again because, you know, the, their computer didn't like magically appear at a thin air when they ordered it. You know, stuff like that. But we're working on getting her in ASAP, as well as some other people from the customer service team because there's a whole cast of characters from CS. Let's see. I feel like we have more characters working at NZXT now. Like every day there's any characters. Yeah. There's like any person coming in, they're like, okay.
Starting point is 00:09:47 So for example, for those who don't know, we recently brought on Xbox Pope, right? who's, I guess, is a guy who's, like, a designer. He does, like, cool designs for, like, for, like, for, like, the consoles, I guess, right? Like, almost like Raps or something. And this dude's literally, like, his name on Slack is literally Pope. It's like Xbox Pope. It's not, like, his real name. It's actually Pope.
Starting point is 00:10:13 So, like, whenever you see him type, it's like, Pope says this. Pope says that. It's pretty great. It's funny because when he first joined, I messaged him. I was like, hey, man, is it cool if we chat? I want to introduce myself and just, you know, but you know a little bit about me and get to know you better. He's like, sure, thing, call me up.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And then I called him. And he was really awesome dude. It's cool, yeah. I sent him some stuff in the mail, and he messaged me on Slack. He goes, bless you. So I was like, I got blessed by the poke. You know, he's a really funny, indeed. Like, for example, we had our town hall just recently.
Starting point is 00:10:53 And Johnny was showing off this, like, picture that he drew, I guess, like, how he envisions the company. And it was a, and it was a hydra, right? But it's, like, the most, like, goofy looking, like, like a kindergarten type drawing you've ever seen in your life. And then everyone's like, yo, throw it on the case, throw in a case. The next day, Pope is in Slack with a good design with some hydras on it. It's a dude's definitely, like, really, really funny. He's really cool. It's going to be great to have them on.
Starting point is 00:11:20 I really hope we can like a beast out some like really cool designs for that stuff maybe get some somewhere custom like you know like in 60 cases and things like that I actually don't know what the plan is all I knows that he does art
Starting point is 00:11:33 and he's like around now I'm assuming they're like getting him up to speed and whatnot will Pope because well Pope Gunna posting custom cases on Twitter I don't know actually I'm assuming if it's something like official that we're working on
Starting point is 00:11:49 that we're going to release and sell, probably not until like it's officially, you know, like announced in like a marketing capacity. That's a good question. Probably, yeah, probably talked to him about that. Probably going to be doing something. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:02 I mean, you know. Or else would he be working. Yeah, exactly. He does what he does, right? We can only assume that he's going to be doing things related to, like his name or something, right? Like, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Okay. So next question from the community is, It's going to help planning on a Christmas party. Christmas event for the company or for the community. Oh, for the community. Christmas is a member for the community. Yeah, I mean, if you want, talk to, talk to B. She's like kind of like our boss now.
Starting point is 00:12:35 She has all the good ideas. So just give her your idea and she'll figure it out for you if it's something that we can do. Let's see. Next is what to study in school and call. college to work at NZT and similar companies. Ivan, you got this one? Well, it depends what you want to do. I have no idea what you like or where you want to work in. But if you want to work in marketing, then I would recommend a marketing degree. If you want to work in engineering, I recommend an engineering degree and so on and so forth. Me personally, I majored in communications.
Starting point is 00:13:16 And as you can tell, he's a great communicator. Yes. Wise be better at her job. I'm not sure what that means. Everyone's getting better and better every single day. How hard is it to get a job at NXT? I think that also depends on the type of job you're going for, right? If you're going for like, you know, like a builder, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:41 he's going to know how to build a computer, right? I mean, it's not hard if you can, solve a problem for NZT or any company. Getting a job at any company, in my opinion, is easy if you can solve a problem for them. But if you're just expecting a company to hire you because you have a degree or because you have experience somewhere else, it's probably not likely in my opinion, or at least in my experience, you know, you always have to solve a problem. Otherwise, why hire you?
Starting point is 00:14:15 True. Dennis solved a problem for me. That's why I hire now. Do I? Have I? You solved one problem and create it like a thousand more, but yes. That's how it works. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Next one is why is the question is mostly about being sort of Ivan when Ivan's a guest? Well, technically Ivan's a permanent resident of the podcast, but he hasn't been available because he's been a very busy. I wouldn't say busy B, but that doesn't make any sense because B is B, a very busy man. So we're just chilling right now. My last name is B.
Starting point is 00:14:52 That's true. So is mine, actually. My last name also starts with the B. Let's see here. Why isn't there an N60G fuel yet? It'll be too powerful. It'll be too good. Because real gamers don't need
Starting point is 00:15:12 like some sugar water. Play video games. I mean, it's, it's, it's, it's been proven that it's basically just like have it to pre-workout, you know? So it's just like a bunch of caffeine and some other stuff in it and they like keep you awake. Just drink coffee, you know, or water. Water's pretty good for you. I would say water is the most gamer drink out there. That's a tweet, by the way.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Did you hydrate today? Did you hydrate today, gamer? What's your guys's favorite Dreamworks film? DreamWorks. I have no idea. Let me see what films DreamWork has made. I would say two of them. The first one would be, well, okay.
Starting point is 00:15:57 So actually there's three. Three favorite ones and they're like on an equal level because they're different to me. First one is Ants, the Ants movie with what's his freaking name? Is it the Woody? Woody, whatever his name is? I think it's him. I think it's a guy. or someone who sounds like Woody, whatever the dude's name is.
Starting point is 00:16:17 I don't know the name of the actor. He's like this old famous guy who makes a lot of like artsy films. I don't know what I'm talking about. Second one is Kung Fu Panda because that movie's just awesome. I love Jack Black. And the third one is How to Train a Dragon. Because that was a really good movie. It was like for me almost like a turning point in like DreamWorks
Starting point is 00:16:34 because DreamWorks has put out a bunch of weird stuff. Like there's like things I would never watch. Yeah. So like for example, Madagascar, I'd never watch it. I just, it literally looks like a movie for babies, right? I just Google DreamWorks movies and I have never seen a DreamWorks movie my life, not even Shrek. Wait, you've never seen Shrek before?
Starting point is 00:16:58 No. He's like one of the most famous like meme movies out there. It's even a meme. He's just like a good movie. Like Shrek came out when I was in college. And fun fact, the guy that wrote Shrek actually went to my, my college. But like for me, yeah, Shrek came out. I was like, you know, I was 21 years old.
Starting point is 00:17:16 I'm not going to watch a cartoon movie. Yeah, I have never seen any of these movies. I am watching a lot of Disney movies now, though, because my daughter, she likes Cinderella. I've watched Cinderella like 50 times in the last too much probably. What do kids do that? Just like listen to the same, like watch the same movie or whatever, like a million times over and over and over. Like, why is that a thing? I think because they're just so fascinated with it, you know, like my daughter had never seen a princess or, you know, seen a talking mouse or...
Starting point is 00:17:54 Talking mouse. You knew what a castle was or anything. She saw Cinderella, so she's, like, super fascinated with it. And I tried to show in her other movies. Like, I tried to show in her Snow White, and it was really... She's not done for it. I don't think I'm ever going to show it to her again. She liked it, but it was just really weird.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Like there's one part in the movie where the, the, what's it, the queen, the evil queen. She tells us, I go, go kill Snow White, which is dad, and put her part in a box and return it to me. Like, I'm like, wow, I had no idea this was a Disney movie. Yeah, they've always been like that. Yeah. It wasn't pretty, pretty crazy. I mean, I'm trying to think when the movies are like pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty nuts, but I mean like...
Starting point is 00:18:43 And then Snow White actually dies because she gets poison and then the dwarfs put her in this glass coffin that they're like worshiping her and it's kind of weird. But she comes back though, right? So it's like, so it's like, not that bad. But it's just, I don't know, it's too much for a two-year-old. You think so? I don't think so. Probably. I think it's pretty, pretty like normal.
Starting point is 00:19:02 It's pretty part for the course for a kid. I don't know, like, I'm definitely no expert on like kids' movies, so I couldn't really tell you. I can't believe you're nervous in Shrek, dude. That's so weird. I mean, I think you would have to at it at some point. I know there's like a like a dumb like Discord file that has like the whole movie and like an MP4 or whatever. But I've never had like any interest to watch Shrek or any of these other Dreamworks movies.
Starting point is 00:19:33 That's still pretty crazy to me. I'll say I'll say Shrek is funny. I'm like tapping the mic like a dummy. Shrek to me is funny because it has. a lot of like really a lot of really good in jokes for adults right it's like when you're watching it you don't realize like some of these jokes are pretty
Starting point is 00:19:51 I don't say they're like mature jokes but the jokes that you might not get if you're a kid and don't have like the context of like pop culture and I think that's why Shrek is pretty it's pretty popular for that reason but yeah I would recommend it I would I would recommend
Starting point is 00:20:07 the second one the first one's okay the second one is like the best one I think I'm sure people will debate me on not though, which which movie is the breast, the breast, the best Shrek. Best Shrek. Let's see here. Next question from the community team is, let's see. What's it like working at NXT?
Starting point is 00:20:29 Do you get any perks? Do we get any perks? Yeah, we get a paycheck. What else? Then you can use said money to purchase things like rent and, And food. Pretty cool. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Go on. Go on. I mean, I don't know. It's a cool place. I miss being at the office for sure. It's definitely less perks at home. That's for sure. I mean, even today, like, I woke up and NCGST sent me DoorDash for no reason.
Starting point is 00:21:03 That was pretty cool. Oh, yeah. I got my car, too, for DoorDash. I mean, it's a fun place to work. if you're at the office or even there's people working at the office now you know building computers or whatnot there's there's a soda machine there's unlimited snacks uh always buying food um we get a lot of goodies goodies like um like they recently sent me a Pokemon charger for some reason with the other things too uh yeah it's it's fun i like it's it's
Starting point is 00:21:41 Yeah, pretty much. I mean, it's a cool place to work. If you ask questions during a town hall, you'll immediately get an email like the same night asking you if you're okay. That was going to fun. Obviously, in joke for just me and Ivan, because I'm not definitely going to talk about it here. But I have to mention it for those in the company who might be listening
Starting point is 00:22:04 and going to get a little kick out of it. Why haven't Sky Zero wants to know, why haven't we gotten KBBQ again, but minus you and only me B? I don't know, as B. That's definitely, it's definitely a B thing. Go for it.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Next one. What's story behind the Cracken name for the Coolers? Ivan, why are Crackens called Crackens? Because the Cracken is a mythical sea creature with like these giant tentacle arms and the Crackin is made out of water
Starting point is 00:22:41 and it has these tentacle arms. It's basically it. It's not that complicated. I don't think. Maybe it is. Okay, let's see here. Next one is... How often should we upgrade to our desktop?
Starting point is 00:23:04 What do you think, Evan? I have literally not upgraded my computer since I started working at NZXT. I've had the same the same NZ60 computer. You may have to soon. I don't know, man. It might be a thing.
Starting point is 00:23:20 The only thing that can't, it plays any game that I want. The only thing it can't do is it can't run Zoom backgrounds. Which is, you put a big requirement to work here, I would say. I'll post a screenshot of my specs. Yeah. It's my,
Starting point is 00:23:37 yeah, I guess it depends what games you play, right? Yeah. No, for sure. Trying to find that there's a lot of a lot of Not resource intensive games. I guess you can say Maybe you play a red dead right and I'm sure red dead's pretty Yeah I mean it runs red dead fine I have no problems playing it
Starting point is 00:24:01 What are your frames on red dead 60 I think 60? I was like five frames per second I mean I don't know I mean you know you have a really It gets 60 frames on Red Dead. Obviously, I'm not playing everything at Mac settings or anything like that. Right. But I'm not one of those people that needs to have like a thousand frames and all that. I really, as long as it's playable for me, I'm cool. For sure.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Let's see here. Okay, next question. I also game on Wi-Fi. That's the worst thing ever, dude. I think I upgrade like, I probably upgrade like, like once every five to six years or so. And I, I buy like strong enough hardware,
Starting point is 00:24:48 uh, that it can carry me for a good while. So that's, that's kind of how I do it. Um, I definitely, I definitely don't like, upgrade every single,
Starting point is 00:24:56 you know, you know, like every, every, like new card that comes out, every like chip that comes out. Like, I don't do that because it's kind of dumb.
Starting point is 00:25:05 To be honest, like, speaking to Red Dead. I almost bought Red Dead again last night for my stadium. Why? Because I gave my Chromecast to my in-laws, and so I busted out the Stadia so I can have my Chromecast back. And I literally have only used Stadia once, and I was like, I don't like it. But I connected it again last night, and I was like, maybe I should play a game on here.
Starting point is 00:25:32 And I was this close to buying Red Dead, but I realized I already own this game on PC. I'm not going to spend another $60 on this thing. Yeah, I don't see the point of buying it over and over. again. I have, I do that for, for Switch games. I says, this sounds so weird to me that you would do that. I have a lot of, a lot of, a lot of games I have on PC. I don't even touch and I play them frequently on my switch.
Starting point is 00:25:59 The only, uh, the only games I would maybe buy like more than once, it would be if there's like a cross-saving feature, right? Or I can like save over and over again or, you know, if I can take my save from like my PC to my console, so and so forth. I recently just set up my Steam link again and literally played it for like five minutes and then I like, okay, cool, this is terrible. I'm never playing Destiny on a controller again.
Starting point is 00:26:24 I'm going to go back to my computer. That's literally what I did. It's not a fun experience. Because director just asked right now, what are your thoughts on Google Stadia? I think it's dumb. My experience would get like, honestly, I've only played one game on it.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Actually, two games. I played Destiny, which I don't like because I just don't like that game. And farming simulator, it runs perfectly fine and it looks perfectly fine. On my TV, I have no complaints about it. But the only thing that I guess I would complain about is there's not that many games on it. so that's probably my only complaint but it works it works good for me
Starting point is 00:27:11 I don't know I mean like the thing so the reason why I have a problem with Stadia in general is because you're not buying the game right you also don't own the hardware
Starting point is 00:27:25 but I'm assuming you're paying about the same price for everything right like 50 bucks for a game or something you're talking to one of the few people in the world who does not want to own a bunch of junk I mean I would consider hardware junk
Starting point is 00:27:38 like on my like multiple times on my switch bitch of my PC out of convenience. Not because I, you know, when I own it, it's just like, if I want to play a video game in bed, instead of sitting down on my PC, like, okay, I'll buy it again. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Yeah. And there's only, the only thing that I really want to own, like media-wise, for me personally, or is my music. I look, as you know, I like collecting records. Like, I don't subscribe to a streaming service or anything like that. Even with movies, like I would rather just, like I bought Cinderella for like $20 on Amazon Prime. Because I rather do that than spend $6 every
Starting point is 00:28:24 month for the rest of my life on Disney Plus or whatever just so I can watch the same movie over and over again. I don't know. I'm just weird like that. It's about the convenience of it, so you don't have to like pull that disc out all the time, you know? And for me, I feel like saving on the space is worth a six bucks a month, especially for getting like new shows every now and then right yeah it says to me though um okay a few more questions here because uh we're we're making this a short one spend a long week even after the holidays honestly like i feel like the break wasn't the much of a break because i was still working now throughout the holidays yeah especially if you're doing social during this the whole time um
Starting point is 00:29:01 let's see other questions here festibonk wants to know why do you raid my rest space when we were vibing. So over the holiday weekend, I got bored and I picked up a, I coordinated to get a rest server for the community. If people wanted to join, it's completely open. It's called spare it, um, uh, spare scrub or scrub spare or I forget what the name was called. Rusty spare. Something like that. I don't know. Anyway, so rusty spare. Thank you. So we were, someone did someone thought they were under your impression. there would be no shenanigans on a Rust server. I don't know who decided that was a thing.
Starting point is 00:29:45 I don't know where they got this idea. All I know is that if you're playing a rest, shenanigans are going to go down. If I see you walking around, it's on site. I'm taking your stuff. I'm going to pick you up, and then you can be on your merry way walking around naked. That's how Rust works.
Starting point is 00:29:59 If that's not the experience you're looking for, then I don't know, go play a single player game or something. I think it's dumb because I thought we were viving. To me, that's vibing. To me, to me, to me, always, always being in a constant state of panic that someone might just roll up on you, to me, that's like half the fun of the game. But I'm also kind of a masochist. I play Destiny a lot.
Starting point is 00:30:22 So, you know, it's kind of how it works, right? It kind of goes hand in hand. I feel like Destiny is like slow motion for some reason. Destiny is a very, so it's funny. I played, I played Ghost Runner. I played all through Ghost Runner a few weeks ago and that game is super fast
Starting point is 00:30:39 right, you're like a ninja you're running on walls and stuff like that then I immediately went to go play Apex and I felt like I was like walking through mud like when you play a game that actually has a really good fluid movement and it's funny because Apex is like one of the faster
Starting point is 00:30:51 BRs right? You can like slide around and like do all these cool things and that felt super slow to me and then you go to Destiny which is like you literally you know like full on moonboats every single place you go it's yeah it's definitely
Starting point is 00:31:04 get a it's definitely a slower pace game. There's like certain moments where you have some speed, but it's definitely I like about it. It was like jumping around. It just feels like you're floating. It's like, it's just super slow for me. Yeah, it's like a,
Starting point is 00:31:18 it's like a evolution of, what do you call it, of a Halo. Halo is already like a super slow game. Like that's why I couldn't play Halo. Especially coming from someone who played CSGO on like a PC. People going nuts over a Halo on console. I'm like, dude, like, do you not know like the games that have like,
Starting point is 00:31:34 existed on, you know, a PC for like pretty much decades. Like, you're getting excited over Halo, do? Like, you're playing an enrol tournament? Like, the heck? You know, quake? Showing my age now. Here's a good question. Why is the NXT, H510, not like the 710, and the 210?
Starting point is 00:31:57 I'll give you a good answer. It's because they're different cases. That's why they're not like each other. The H510 is our... cheapest most budget-friendly case, so it's not going to have as much options as the more expensive better cases. I always think it's funny when people say, you guys should put, you know, three fans on top of the H510 and three fans in the front. I'm like, well, you're just literally describing an H710 right there. Yeah. And the H-200 is more expensive than the H-500, because once again, it's a better case.
Starting point is 00:32:35 It has better materials and more features than the H510. Better routing as well, yeah. And the H210 is like, you know, it's like a compact mini, nice looking case with good K management, right? Why are mini ITX motherboards more expensive than ATX motherboards? They're smaller. Shouldn't it be cost less? Exactly. Smaller doesn't always mean cheaper.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Exactly. It's smaller, so why is... Small case small. Big case big. Smaller also doesn't always mean worse. Big case costs more. Our most expensive cases are smallest. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:15 That's true it is. But the best case we got is the H710. And by best, I'm saying like most features. You can most hardware in that. And get the best airflow and all that stuff too. Let's see, Spare Scrub wants to know. What's the name behind? What's the story behind the name, Ashoki?
Starting point is 00:33:41 That is actually too long in a story for the amount of time I have left in this podcast, no cap. I'm just going through Simmons' questions season here that stands out. Have I watched House of Cards? Not since the allegations, unfortunately. I like that show, but I couldn't, you know, I couldn't in good conscience watch it anymore. And, you know, to be honest, like Kevin Spacey kind of made that show. I mean, everyone on the show is fantastic, right? but his performance is really good
Starting point is 00:34:06 and not knowing that he was gone and that he's like kind of a creep I'm like, eh, I can't really watch this anymore. I don't really draw too many lines when it comes to like the artist and their art, right? But in some instances, it's like, this guy plays a really creepy dude very well. Maybe this is why he plays a very creepy dude very well
Starting point is 00:34:22 because this is actually just him every day. It's too much of that, of that connection. It was weird. Here's one. You ever seen it? It's actually, I mean, it's good. It's good. It's still.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I'll say Spotify. It's still on Netflix. It's really good. Money wants to know. Do you have your Spotify wrapped? I don't think I've got a question. I got a question for you. Actually, wait, did he have to have Spotify wrapped?
Starting point is 00:34:49 Yeah. Do you Spotify? Very rarely, but I did post my Spotify wrapped in the Discord server. Your other day, let me's say I can find it. it was all like Spanish rock bands So like a three and And whatnot
Starting point is 00:35:12 I listen I only listen to it when I'm driving Never like Like the computer or anything It's good driving music I'm always listening to Spotify Pretty much Yeah we see
Starting point is 00:35:23 Pretty much all the time I don't really get away from From listening to music Try to keep it I post my top songs right now Top 05 0.5% listeners of Little Easyvert, youinks.
Starting point is 00:35:39 These are my top five songs. Natchapap. La Union. Los Prisoneros. Kaifanes. Marka MP. My. El Owero.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Yeah, that's a good song. Oh, man. Yeah, no, I'm pretty much always listening to Spotify. It's really funny. Spotify also, also, like, gave you. it also gives you stats on podcasts and I don't use Spotify for podcasts I don't like the interface
Starting point is 00:36:09 it's not separated enough from the rest of the libraries on there like for the music stuff so it was like you listen to like 151 minutes of like one podcast I'm like well yeah because podcasts are about that time you look Dennis you were my top artist Kukle looks like you
Starting point is 00:36:27 not really I say Kukko's way more handsome he has a different face too. You guys have the same facial hair. A little wispy mustache there. Definitely. I'm in time with that. I have a glorious
Starting point is 00:36:43 mustache. I don't even start with me. I have a question for you, though. Okay. Can I go eat lunch now? Yeah. If you want to go ahead and bounce, you can. I can wrap it up. Yeah. And do your thing. I'm really tired, man. I really did not sleep at all last night. No, like that's literally
Starting point is 00:37:00 why like I told. you the day, like I just need to sleep in. I told Ivan the day, I'm like, hey, Ivan, I'm going to be in like an hour late. I'm going to sleep in for a little bit. And I literally did. It didn't help, though. Like, I still feel, I was about to say something else.
Starting point is 00:37:13 I still feel like butt. I still feel like crap right now. Well, hopefully next week's podcast is better. Yeah, no, we're going to have some interesting guests next week. So listen to that. All right, Ivan. I'll see you next time. I got to finish this up.
Starting point is 00:37:28 But take care, man. Thanks for hopping on. All right. Thank you, Papito. All right. All right, chat slash this is on the stream. Chat, what's up? Live podcast.
Starting point is 00:37:41 So a couple of things here that I want to talk about before we end the podcast. Number one is Poochie's Pick. Poochie's pick. Congratulations to Merv. Merv got Poochie's pick. She's always been like a really great presence, super sweet person. Former moderator, right? But we love her just the same.
Starting point is 00:38:01 and it goes to show that no matter what, you know, there's always room for you in the community in some capacity. Also, you know, if you want to sign up for mods, sign up for mods. We also announced things to B actually. So B's heading this one. So please tag B and tell her thank you very much B because she's been like really like just kicking butt. What's Pucci's pick?
Starting point is 00:38:21 So Pucci's pick is, we actually made an announcement about it a couple days ago. I just will go ahead and read the announcement so you guys understand fully what it is. The announcement is Okay, so that's not it. That's not it either. That's not it either.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Here we go. Okay, so every month, the moderation team highlights one community member who follows our community guidelines and embodies our core values. This community member has the honor of receiving the title of Pucci's pick along with extra special rewards. It's our way of showing appreciation for those who go above and beyond for our community. This time, we ask the community to help us find this month's Pucci pick. So this is something that be a,
Starting point is 00:38:58 asked about and be kind of pushed for is getting more community involvement in in in the poochies pick stuff so again thinker also for poochies pick so thinker once for poochies pick thinker again for for the trainee stuff and i'll talk about that in a minute um yeah but this month it's it's it's it's murv and the prizes for poochies pick are as follows you get a special role so you get hoisted above the server so everyone sees exactly who you are you get the ability to mess with the dj bot which is you know something people bug about all the time you get the ability to change your nickname whenever you want and you know please you know be smart with it everybody who is a poochies pick you also get a steam gift card so it'll give you some some free free money for some video
Starting point is 00:39:36 games limited edition stickers that we just send out to you um and a poochie's pick t-shirt and the art is by nibbler and the poochies pick t-shirt is really just like the art that we have there um so i'll i'll show this off here uh in a second do do do do there we go so that's so that's like the design that goes in the shirt And the other announcement is that we announced literally just like yesterday. And yesterday being November, no, December 2nd. I still think it's November. Can you believe it's 2021 already?
Starting point is 00:40:13 We have brought a new role called trainees. So here is the thing, right? And I'm just going to be very honest with you guys and be very, very forward. I do believe in some level of transparency. Not everything because y'all, y'all ask for too much. So finding moderators is not easy. And the reason why is because we need to find people who are, one, leaders and two can handle themselves in situations.
Starting point is 00:40:37 And two are also emotionally smart and also like technically smart, right? You got to be both. Because when you're dealing with people when you're moderating a community, it's a lot of things that that factor in, right? I can tell you with full honesty that from maybe like the first five to 10 messages from someone, I can kind of already tell how long. they're going to end up being in the server. No lie.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I can also notice when someone has a tendency to start kind of leaning a certain way or another in terms of their behavior, right? They start acting up, so on and so forth. It's almost like it is almost like a toddler, right? Like you can get to tell this kid's finit thorough tantrum in like 10 minutes, get ready, right? So because of that, we have a very high standard because we're also a very heavily moderated server in a sense that we actually follow our rules.
Starting point is 00:41:24 We actually moderate these rules, right? So we ask a lot from our moderators in terms of being able to really identify situations and handle the community in the best way they possibly can. So because of that, it's hard finding moderators in all time zones, not just, you know, US or EU or anything like that. You know, it's just hard to find moderators in general. So be decided, hey, why don't we just do a thing where we train people to be a moderator? we work with them more closely as opposed to hey here's a mod here's the tools go do it instead it's more like you know
Starting point is 00:42:00 hey we can see you having the potential of a mod but we don't really think you're there yet so we're going to put you in this trainee role where we're going to work closely with you how the mods will work closely with you and we can turn you into a good moderator and if you kind of pass you know not really a test but you know if we if we see that you reach this potential then we will go ahead and and you know graduate you to a full-fledged moderator So yeah, so So that's that's that's that's that's that is right That's that's what the trainees role is for That's what it's geared towards So if you think you might have the potential to be a good moderator You know apply you know a lot of things factor in You know like for example
Starting point is 00:42:43 If you bug me all the time in DMs I'm less likely to give you mod because you're bugging me right Unless this is like there's something really important right Like here's the thing people will bug me for no reason And I'm like go away But they'll show me something cool or say, hey, Dan, I know this thing that you know. I found this. You might be interested in my, hey, cool.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Thanks for actually offering something of value my DMs as opposed to asking me. I ran into question. People do that all the time. Like, for example, someone asked me, who should not be names? It's actually pretty funny. I actually laughed at this one. They literally DM me and like, hey, dude, I know you're not awake. But what if I ran your, you know, what if I made it ran an NZC TikTok for free?
Starting point is 00:43:23 and I'll take zero payment. All you got to do is give me a computer. I'm like, oh, man, what a deal. Not realizing that I literally run the social media in the company. And I'm not going to let you take my job for a computer, dude. Also, don't set yourself short. Like, do not work for free. Never work for free.
Starting point is 00:43:40 Working for free is a terrible idea. Don't do it. Never work for free. The gaming industry is unfortunately an industry that kind of, and I'm going to be honest, literally kind of like, praise the wrong word, but it prays on people's passions, right? In a sense that like, you know, oh, I really want to work in this industry. I love gaming so much.
Starting point is 00:44:03 I'll work for so cheap. Just let me get in, let me get it. And there are a lot of people who'll do that. And it actually devalues the value of other people who are working, who are making money doing this stuff. Right. So that's, you know, that's why I always say, don't work for free, right? Get something out of it if you can, you know, make some money. so that you're not broke because exposure and experience does not pay the bills, does not put food on the table, does not put clothes in your back, does not, you know, pay for the water, you know, to wash when you're stanking, you know, so that's a, that's a thing.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Any other announcements I have here, what else? Put you to pick trainees. Also, important NXT news, if you guys haven't already heard, there is a safety issue with the H1. and I think I have the link here So H1 is H1 safety Is that the link? I just forget Dang it
Starting point is 00:44:59 Do not know how to spell safety NZXT.coma H1 Dash safety? A, let's go Okay, so I'm going to just link it For those who may or may not know I know we got some questions about it here there Do I have videos of the fire? No and I wouldn't show it even if I did.
Starting point is 00:45:18 But TLDR, there's an issue with, where some of the screws, let's see here where it says here. Yeah, where the two screws that attach the PCIE riser on the H1 case may cause in electrical short. Currently, it hasn't happened in like a huge capacity. It's like actually a very, very limited case.
Starting point is 00:45:40 But we'd rather be super safe than super, super super super sorry in the future. So please, for the love of God, Do not, you know, if you have one, just be safe. Don't turn it on. You know, if you can avoid it. If you can't, just be very, very safe, right, obviously. And hit up our support team on the, what do you call it? On the thingy, what do you call it?
Starting point is 00:46:04 On the blog. And we'll send you out of repair kit to fix that. So pretty much that, you know, TLDR. Just, you know, be safe. You know, and we're working as quick as you can to get those to get those. repair kits out so yeah that's really pretty much it can't think of really any other
Starting point is 00:46:25 any other news community wise so sorry for lack and also on the wallpapers and the setups we've been really really busy here I'll just say they'll just return next week you haven't had a chance to do them so you know resubmit within the time frame and we'll get this to you all right folks
