Starting point is 00:00:37 Yeah, that's it right there. Hello, everyone. How's it going? What's up? We're chilling? We're having a good time there? Oh, my God. The podcast channel is like blowing up right now on the server.
Starting point is 00:00:56 It is going literally bananas. I didn't even know how to like to explain how many people are here. I mean, I could count them all, right? But that would just be a waste of time. Why would I ever do that? Hello, welcome to episode 74 of the NZC Clubcast, the official podcast of the NZXT community. This podcast is recorded live every Thursday at 10 a 10-N-Pacific Center time of the official N-ZC Discord server. It is available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Don't remember, don't forget everybody. Remember, the gamers are stronger together. So shine on, you crazy diamond. My name is Dennis, and with me is just me. Or just you guys, I guess, technically. Not really. There's just me here. just me. I haven't taken a break. He has to work on some, oh my God. It's working on some stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:46 He's busy today. So we're just hanging out with you guys and answering some questions. I'm going to skipping a lot of questions, though, because a lot of y'all ask the same things week and week out. I'm tired of it. That's it. I'm done. No more. I don't want any more. But yeah, let's do this thing. Let me make sure all my audio stuff is correctly set because I think I broke something. I had to close some stuff out because I think I I literally just ruined everything here. It happens, you know. Still,
Starting point is 00:02:15 I'm still learning the smack, to be honest. I'm still, I'm still learning how to use a Mac OS. It's a trip. It's, honestly, it's probably really good. Not probably,
Starting point is 00:02:26 I'm one saying probably. It is very good for multitasking. I actually like the multitasking set up of, of Mac OS. It's great. Works very, very well. And it's like,
Starting point is 00:02:39 you know, it's, it's like, they decided, you know how people have 20 monitors? What if we just made one monitor? It has made the operating system really easy to swap between different programs. I'm like, hey, that's actually kind of smart because, you know, sometimes I have like a lot of things open. I don't know where they go.
Starting point is 00:02:56 They like confuse me. I start getting upset. I get angry. I close everything down and then I reopen it back up again, but in a more like organized way, which happens to me all the time of Windows. So just having the ability to like swipe between like screens or something or like swipe, quote unquote apps. It's actually very handy, very nice.
Starting point is 00:03:15 MacOS isn't that bad. I found the software. First, it'd be different than one is OS, but I get used to it over time. Yeah, the only weird thing that I don't like about MacOS is installing programs. It's like, oh, drag this little thing to this little icon. Like, why do you go to drag it?
Starting point is 00:03:26 I already installed the program. I downloaded the installer. I clicked on the installer so I can run it on. It's like, you know, duh. But other than that, though, it's like, you know, it's whatever. I like a MacOS. I just hate that Apple dropped in VDIA. you know, market dictates that they're going to do their own thing, you know, if they can consolidate
Starting point is 00:03:44 and how do I say this, configure their devices in a vertical structure, I think that's the correct way to say that. I'm not a marketing person. So if I'm from our product person, if I'm wrong on this, let me know. But, you know, they're just trying to do everything themselves, which I think makes a lot of sense, you know, to me, it makes a lot of sense. So yeah, it is currently Thursday, the 28th of January on the eve of craziness it is on the internet. The internet has been insane. Social media has been so, so crazy lately. Just, I mean, just even on the NXT front, you know, we've seen there's a lot of
Starting point is 00:04:30 things you can engage with in social media. A lot of things you can't engage with, right? Just like, for example, the server, right? The server in particular, we don't talk about politics. We don't talk about religion. We don't talk about a lot of things, right? And we don't do the same thing on our social media accounts, right? We'll talk about very important social things that we feel like define us,
Starting point is 00:04:50 define the company, things we believe in. But in terms of like, you know, throwing our back behind certain peoples in that way. We just don't do it, right? Something like what's happening right now regarding the, like, GameStunks and Dogecoin and AMC and all that stuff, you know, we're along for the meme. You know, we're along for the ride to joke with it and have fun with it and engage with it. It's stuff that we have no problem doing, right? If you're taking financial advice from a computer company who sells RGB coolers,
Starting point is 00:05:22 you might have something, you know, you might have something wrong with you. So, yeah, let's see here. So questions. You'll be asking a bunch of questions and we got answers for you. First one, on the last podcast, we talked about how you used Steam Controller. Do you, have you tried the gyro aiming for it? Heard people get better accuracy and speed with gyro. So, um, gyro is something that I feel like is, uh, it works if you're sitting straight up.
Starting point is 00:05:53 If you're, if you're, if you're laying down on the couch like a, like a lump like I do sometimes or like on the bed, uh, like I do. Um, sometimes jarro is funky because you're like in a weird, odd position and then you got to move your arm or something. and it's something that you had to like be very mindful. It's like it's like training your brain, right? It's like training your muscle for a different action. You know, because sometimes I'll just move my, you know, hand around with the game pad and I'll have no problem with it. But then once you throw in the gyro, all of a sudden I'm like looking up at the sky or something.
Starting point is 00:06:28 But it's great though. I use the gyro. So I use the gyro for Metaguer Solid 5, Phantom Pain. I think that's the thing that's that's it I think that's five right something like that um and I work great for that um I'm using it for Resident Evil it's really good for that um I'm not using it for yakuza because there's no aiming in yakuza is just you know it's just stuff on the pad um it's not a shooter right but I would say for for third person shooters having jarrah aiming is great it's it's amazing um for first person shooters and I still prefer keyboard and mouse it's
Starting point is 00:07:04 nothing that it's ever going to determine me from that using using gyro aiming uh for fortnight on the nintendo switch is actually kind of kind of like low key super super like smart it works incredibly well it's actually really cool um i like it a lot it's it's really fun let's see here i got sent them up i got sent some some some up for you guys so as everyone knows this is a live show i will be taking occasional breaks to rechat to uh do a couple things one of the things we're going to do is do our first uh steam card giveaway on the podcast channel winners will be uh announced in what two minutes for the first one so you don't get get yourself them them uh free steamy gift cards steam stimmies as we call them um yeah uh but to answer your question
Starting point is 00:08:02 the jar aiming is lit uh who do you think will win king kong or godzilla okay I have thoughts about this. I have real thoughts about this, right? King Kong is just a giant monkey, okay? Godzilla, current Godzilla is a radioactive, plasma breathing, like, monstrosity of a monster, right? They had to give King Kong a weapon. You see the trailers? They had to give King Kong like an axe or something so you can reliably fight Godzilla.
Starting point is 00:08:37 that makes no sense. Now, here's the thing, though, right? I believe King Kong is like an American or like a Western creation, whereas King Kong is a Eastern creation, right? It's from Japan. So this is no longer a battle of Monkey versus Lizard Boy, right? This is now a battle of East versus West, right? You know, the Western world versus glorious Nippon, right?
Starting point is 00:09:02 In that instance, I don't know who's going to win. I don't know who's going to win because I, I think that, you know, if they, if they want to go the, you know, USA, A-OK, we're the best, then the monkey's going to win, right? But if we go purely based on the abilities that are available, Godzilla should have this in the bag, easy. Godzilla is literally like king of the monsters, right? Is it, right?
Starting point is 00:09:28 No, is it? Or is that, or is that King Kong? Is that the wrong one? Am I doing it wrong? Whatever. We're going to Google this right now. King of the monsters. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Godzilla's King of the Monsters. You saw how literally in the last Godzilla movie, every single monster bowed down to Godzilla, right? Bowed down to Godzilla. They were like, this is the queen. Godzilla is here. We're going to chill. Big Mothman, giant hydra thingy gets absolutely wrecked by Godzilla. So I'm saying, Godzilla's going to win.
Starting point is 00:10:04 And if you think any different, then you're wrong. All right. Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee, who you can't compare the two, man. You can't compare the two. You can't compare the two. Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan have such different, like, methods of what they do that I don't believe you could ever really equate the two. I would say my personal favorite is Jackie Chan, right?
Starting point is 00:10:29 Because not only is he, like, super, like, innovative with, like, his stunts and his moves, but, you know, it seems like a really cool dude. Bruce Lee was just like just fighting technical ability. But Jackie Chan brings that flare to it. He brings that spice to it. He makes it pretty when he's fighting, right? Not even the same. Congratulations, Jake, for winning our first steam gift card.
Starting point is 00:10:58 So that's my, that's my, that's my, that's my vote on that one. 2080TI or 3070 I would say probably 3070 When my cat ever stopped begging for wet food Yes if you stopped feeding it Will you sell me a GPU No favorite anime Okay
Starting point is 00:11:16 I gotta do I gotta pull one of these I gotta pull one of these If you can guess If you can guess where this is from Then you You don't want anything but you get a pat in the back It might blow up your ears for a second
Starting point is 00:11:32 Actually, let me turn this down so it doesn't explode everyone's ears. This is going to be really, really bad. Okay. If you can guess where this is from, then I don't know. My favorite enemy. There we go. Who's getting it first? Who's getting it first?
Starting point is 00:11:52 There we go. Scrub on that FL seal. Good job. Let's do it. Yeah. Ah. Mm. That is my favorite anime.
Starting point is 00:12:04 And the reason why it's to be. because FLCL fully coolly came at such a pivotal moment in my, in my development as an adolescent that it just like defines a lot of, a lot of like, you know, who I, who I wanted to be or who it was in the time. So for me, they'll always be my number one. Like most, just the, the show that showed me the anime could be different, that it could be more than just goofiness or they could take really interesting, like, themes and, package it in a way that that might not make sense to you in the moment, but like as you kind of grow up,
Starting point is 00:12:40 you kind of start to really understand. I know I'm kind of like waxing like a way too poetic about anime, but there are some shows that just they kind of transcend the medium. They, they transcend the, the like package that it's in and kind of do something more with it, right? Also, Samir Chambu's like lit. So, bright blue exorcists, never seen it. Never seen it, my friend.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Okay, let's go here. When are they going to be NZ? Okay, no. Sorry. If you want to know about products, listen to the last 63 podcasts. What's your most advanced build that you've made? I mean, the one I have right now, right? I-9700K, no, yeah, 270 super, so on and so forth.
Starting point is 00:13:27 How much did you make on GameStop? Right now, I'm currently down a little bit, but I'm okay with that. It's all monopoly money to me. Speaking of GameStop, what is your thought on Robben, net alone used to buy stocking, GameSalk, and AMC? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:41 I'm not a financial analyst. I can't tell you. How tall is Den? I'm 5A on a good day. Mercedes-Benz BMW or Porsche. Honda, my man. Honda. Every day.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Why would I go for one of these expensive brands when I could ride a nice, reliable, you know, black-tinted, anime decked out, Honda. Can you drive a manual shifting
Starting point is 00:14:05 car no but i can write a manual shifting motorcycle uh foam or spring mattress foam for sure poppies or kfc i can't really compare them dude like poppice is on a different tier than kfc uh i like pop pies to me i like poppies is it's cheap it's cheap and it's there for you it'll never let you down kFC feel it feels like it's almost like a little bushy you know i feel like kvc tries too hard to kind of you know to kind of like you know beyond the same wave here I'm not down. Is it scared to talk to this many people? No,
Starting point is 00:14:41 because part of my history, part of my past is being, is working in, working as a production assistant in e-sports. And I used to do tournament signups, tournament, like running for the FGC, for funding games.
Starting point is 00:14:59 And I would literally talk to 100 plus people every single, every single like Wednesday, night getting people signed up for tournaments, you know, calling top players, right? Oh, you know, this is, you know, this is Daigo, one of the greatest fighting game players of all time right now. I walk up and like, oh, hey, Diego, you have a match in only five minutes and he just nod at me. And he go, okay, cool. I'm like, great. And that's it. I don't really get start struck. So, you know, if I don't
Starting point is 00:15:23 feel that way around like, like, you know, around big, big people, quote unquote, right, like famous, famous people, famous gamers, then I don't really have a problem talking to a bunch of people here on the podcast. It's pretty easy for me. I used to stream, you know, I've done a little bit of commentary or shout casting, whatever they call it now, back in the day. I actually did a, I cast at a tournament for PubG, which was interesting because PubG is a very hard game to commentate, especially near the beginning because nothing happens. And then in the middle, because nothing happens. And then it's not until the very end, like, you know, things start going down. They actually kind of start getting hyped up.
Starting point is 00:15:59 So, you know, you're going to have to, like, mess around with that. There's, like, clips of me you can probably find. There's like clips of me talking, like, over fighting game tournaments. to run the street fighter five uh reddit online local tournament for the west coast every monday i believe and i would um i would talk for like hours and if you guys hear this train in the background i'm so sorry uh you know uh but uh we you know i i would literally talk on end for like three hours every every monday night to uh you know an audience of anywhere from 10 to 100 plus people depending on the week, you know. So it's not that hard for me. It's pretty easy to talk to a bunch of people.
Starting point is 00:16:40 What do we got next? What screwdriver kit would you recommend? I fix it kits pretty good. But for like real jobs, like that needs like actual torque and stuff, get like your screwdriver set. Just go to like, you know, go to your local hardware store. Do you have any non-PC hobbies, eG guitar drums? That's actually a real good question. So non-PC, non-computing hobbies, I don't have a whole lot. Um, to be honest, because I just, you know, my whole life has, like, revolved around tech since I was like a kid, right? Which is why I'm here today. That's why I hear me now talking to you guys on this podcast. But if there's anything I do like doing outside of that, you know, I don't know if it's called a hobby, but I love to try out in a restaurant.
Starting point is 00:17:20 I love to eat, you know, like new, different foods from different places. And I play a little bit of guitar, a very baby amount of piano. Like, I can hit a couple keys here and there and maybe like a couple of quarters. and that's it um the problem with me is that uh i i'm pretty sure and then maybe it's a ttmi for people i'm pretty sure i have like a very like high functioning case of ad because what i'll do is i'll get really into something for like a month right and then after that month i'm doing something else right i'm i'm in a new hobby i'm in a new thing so uh you know so maybe anime i guess i guess enemy can consider a hobby i'm getting back into it again which is nice you know
Starting point is 00:18:00 they're going to be be about it thoughts on fuse the new apse the new apes X legend. I don't know. He looks interesting. I don't know if I like his ultimate from what I from what I see. You know, his like very limited salvo. And it seems interesting. Let me see here. How are we feeling on this Thursday? Good. Honestly, still a little tired from this this week. It's been nuts. What approximate percentage to people spell your name with two ends? 99% probably. What's your opinion on the new mobile GPC? do I don't know anything about mobile GPUs I'm playing the computer favorite genre of anime I like a mall as long as the story is good favorite programming language uh HTML
Starting point is 00:18:44 favorite Honda model civic you know it actually no no that's a lie that's a lie I I um I have a civic but I've always wanted a CRX like those old hatchback ones right love I've always wanted one of those. I've always wanted one of those. I want to trick it out and just make it look super cute. How is life outside of NZXT? Good. It's great. First vacation destination once it's safe to travel. I want to go to Japan. Pretty much. I want to go to Japan. That's where I'm going. So I'm going to ask Marvel or DC. The films, Marvel. Video games and animated series is and everything else pretty much DC. But not the CW shows.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I don't know why people like the CW shows. I don't know why they like, you know, The Flash, Green Arrow. I think they're not good. I do not like them. I think it's like I'm watching like a teen soap drama and one dude happens to have some like powers or something, you know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:58 I don't know why people, what people get out of it. It's like, oh, you know, the flash can run, you know, a million miles a minute and create war poles and visit the dinosaurs. But hold up his girlfriend is crying. So he has to like, you know, console her because, you know, some, you know, because Becky at the store was mean to her that day. Or, you know, his friend got into trouble with like the local group of hoodlums and he has to, like, bail him out. But he can't, you know, he can't let her know he has superpowers though. It's always, it's, I feel like it's, it's always that, you know. I think it was trying to watch a green arrow.
Starting point is 00:20:32 And like, yeah, this dude who's like, you know, who's like, it's super arrow green dude or whatever the heck. You know, his power is I don't even know anymore. And like his sister is like this failing debutante who's, you know, getting in with the bad crowd and like going clubbing. And I'm like, why do I care about this? I'm not watching, you know, I'm not watching the O.C. And I'm watching Dawson's Creek trying to watch a superhero show.
Starting point is 00:20:53 And he got this girl crying like in the club. Like, I don't get it. It's a, it's so weird. I can run into this stuff like all day. It's literally not my favorite thing. Do you prefer high quality flak music files or just Spotify or any music related app? So I think it's going to goes down to like personal preference and like effort put in. I think that flack is cool, but unless you have the hardware to support it, right, it's kind of no point.
Starting point is 00:21:27 You know, like if I'm listening on my AirPods, I don't think flak's going to make a difference on my AirPods. You know, if even like I'm using the currently right now a pair of a Sydenheiser HD 558s. These are old. I'm pretty sure I don't get much of a difference on flack on that. It's just the the file size, the way you have to transfer these files and move them around doesn't seem feasible to me. So because of that, I can never really get into high quality audio files. You know, at the end of the day, it's still digital, right?
Starting point is 00:22:00 So, you know, and a lot of people say that, you know, vinyl is like the best way to do it. You know, I don't know about that. You know, I'm not an expert on that stuff. Let's do this. Okay. Time for giveaway three and four. Let's do this. Not three and four, two and three.
Starting point is 00:22:22 I can't spell today. I can't spell. I can't speak. I can't do anything today. There we go. Good luck, guys. Have at it. Have fun with it.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Who ping me? Okay. next is how to do you upgrade your PC and that's a good question and I think maybe we can go to a conversation of how often should you upgrade your PC right I would say find whatever your standard is for resolution and frame rate and quality of game and go towards that and that should dictate how often you should personally upgrade I run on a 1080p monitor at 144 4 Hertz and as long as I get above like 120 frames I'm pretty happy because I like that smooth experience right at the same time though right a lot of these games are not that nice right and they don't
Starting point is 00:23:13 they're not very well optimized and they'll experience dropping hitches and stuff all the time so it's one of the things where you kind of you should be able to run some of these games as well but the optimization or just the way these games are designed might not be that great um but yeah I would say for me, my sweet spot is 1080p, 144 hertz, all the settings cranked up. I want to be able to hit consistent 144 hertz with no drops. And I don't have that yet. I have a 9700K, right?
Starting point is 00:23:39 And I have a 2070 super. I should be able to run the majority of games at 144 frames max settings without any drops. But that is not, that is not feasible for like AAA games. For whatever reason, even like, you know, even like double A games or like, you know, or anything like that.
Starting point is 00:23:57 anything short of an indie game, you're not getting that performance for the most part, unless you're spending a ridiculous amount. And I think Death Region chat had it right. You should probably build your computer to last at least five years. That's what you should be looking at. Because if you're upgrading every other year or so,
Starting point is 00:24:13 you're throwing money in a hole and it's not going to all, right? Like if you're buying a computer, building a computer, right? If you're building a computer with low end parts now, so you can upgrade within, you know, within a year, you might as well just save that money and just buy their better parts when you can, right? Because price changes and fluctuation is going to happen, especially right now with what's happening with hardware, where, you know, the MSRP is going up because, you know, it's hard to get resources. It's hard to create these things.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Shipping is an issue, right? You know, the pandemic is still running rampant through, you know, the United States. You know, parts are still constrained, right? I think Nvidia even said they're looking at possibly like Q2 2021 where things are still going to be constrained, right? Like you're still going to have trouble getting these video cards. So I mean, you know, it's, it's, you might as well just wait until you have all the funds available and then do it. Once your opinion on blacksmithing, I think it's dope if you can do it.
Starting point is 00:25:14 What do you want to do in Japan? Honestly, I always want to eat. I want to eat in Japan. Food there is incredibly cheap. They're from, from what I've been looking at research-wise, because Japan's economy is like very stagnant, hasn't moved up or down. So everything is just like incredibly cheap food-wise
Starting point is 00:25:30 and stuff like that. So, you know, the getting there's the most expensive part, to be honest, from what I've been reading. Japan is cheap if you do it right, my man. If Japan isn't cheap, you're not doing it right. I know way too many people who've gone to Japan and have given me a pro tips and tricks
Starting point is 00:25:47 on how to hang out there. And it's definitely cheaper than, you know, than if you're like out here in the U.S. if you're visiting like orange counter or something. What's the best kind of taco? There is no best kind of taco, but my favorite taco is El Pastor. I love Alpastor. Just give me that marinated pork any day.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Any day. Have you built your own custom keyboard? If not, what type of switches would you prefer to build with? So I do have a custom keyboard. I have a, well, as custom is as I'm comfortable with, I have a GMMK full keyboard because I still use the 10 key. And I have, I started with kale box. whites but they're very very loud very loud right so so i recently swapped them to kale uh kale box burnt oranges um and they're very nice they feel good they sound very clean um you know it's it's it's
Starting point is 00:26:43 very uh it's very uh very nice with uh putting key caps on top so it's super cool um to me that's about as like custom as I want to get, you know? Anything more like buying everything and soldering? I don't want to mess with. What do you think about overclocking a starter plus PC? Go for it, dude. Can you do that? Can you overclock that that computer?
Starting point is 00:27:09 Let's look it up. I don't even know if the chip allows for it. NZXT starter. Let's see here. What do we got? Do you get all these Google Drive messages? Give me a second. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Okay, I know why. Poppy's working. He's pinging me. Okay, let's see here. The starter PC plus once it loads is currently rocking a I5-9400F. I don't believe you can overclock the Fs. I might be wrong on that. Am I wrong on that?
Starting point is 00:27:40 I forget. You can't. Yeah, you can't, right? It's a Ks are unlocked. What's on you is like under-rooted or something like that for mobile. I know this because I used to work selling. computers and stuff. Yeah. Okay, no, wait, wait, Fs don't have. Okay, yeah, you're right, right. The F's, the F stands that it stands for. The F suffix or whatever you call it means that it doesn't
Starting point is 00:28:06 have an integrated graphics card, which if you're buying a computer, why would you need an integrated graphics? But I will say it's nice to troubleshoot with, right? If you have integrated graphics, it's easy to troubleshoot with. Makes it a little bit easier. But yeah, no, you can't overclock that one. So if you're buying that for the purpose of overclocking, you're going to be sorely disappointed but to be honest though
Starting point is 00:28:26 I mean the 9400 F is a good chip like it's not bad unless you like really wouldn't like push that sucker and like break it right thank you for
Starting point is 00:28:37 pinning the giveaway by the way scrub thinking of her for helping on scrub what do we also got here some more tech talk guys Star Wars or Star Trek
Starting point is 00:28:45 they're both very good and you can equate the two Star Wars is for children right Star Trek is like where they take really deep concepts and put him in the context of like space. Oh,
Starting point is 00:28:56 Wifi sauce put up an update. Oh boy. Please don't post that here. To be honest. Let's respect the, let's respect the homie bitwit in this time of, time of, you know,
Starting point is 00:29:09 what are you want to call it? Sad times for that. Favorite dog breed. Okay. So favorite dog breed. I have a couple. I really want to pug because I think they're adorable. And they snort, right?
Starting point is 00:29:20 I want a hard breathy boy, number one. but the breed I would always, like I would dream of having would be a blue pipple. Pipples are freaking adorable. They're super sweet dogs. The only reason why people are afraid of them is not because they bite. It's because those dogs are pure muscle. So when they do bite, right, they're like, you know, they're like tearing it up, you know.
Starting point is 00:29:45 If like a Pomeranian bites you, it's not really going to do anything, right? because, you know, it's a tiny dog with, like, you know, no power, but like, the literal, like, the amount of pounds per square inch that a pit bull can inflict on a human being is very, very intense. So that's why people are scared of them because if they do ever happen to bite, do happen to ever get aggressive, you're not going to have a good time. Yeah. It's like, you know, it's like if a sparrow bit you versus like a hawk, right? Same kind of thing.
Starting point is 00:30:14 But pipples are very sweet dogs. You can train them very, very well. So, you know, it's, you know, as people always say, right, it's the, it's the, it's the owner, not the dog, right? The owner dictates how the dog's going to act. Favorite game right now. Okay, so check this out. Favorite game right now is playing with the homies, playing some, pay some Apex Legends, right? I'm back in the Apex again.
Starting point is 00:30:36 You know, eight boys go ham. Apex is super fun. But I just started playing this game yesterday. And I mean, I forgot what it's called. So check this out. It's called a. Eternal Okay, it's called
Starting point is 00:30:50 Eternal Return Black Survival And what this game is, it is a Battle Royale Moba Wifu game Literally all the things I've ever wanted And the way it works Right is you pick your character
Starting point is 00:31:07 Right, you pick your build You load into a map with like 18 other people And you and you And you literally scavenge around to pick up items to build your your chosen build right so think of you know how like league of legends right you you have a build that you want to follow so you get like x amount of power or damage or whatever right um the only way to get that strong in the course of a match is to scavenge around and to grab items to craft basically in the middle of a fight essentially it's really cool
Starting point is 00:31:41 it's actually really fun um i don't i don't if it's like a great game but I'm enjoying it because it's something a little different right and it's you know it's a it's almost a relaxing game um so that's about ginschen impact so dude I fell off on ginschen so hard honestly I feel there's nothing to do in that game people say there is but it's like small tiny boring quests um I feel like they give you such terrible characters to start with that it's almost not fun um and the gotcha elements aren't that bad except for the weapon gotcha elements there's just two gotcha there's there's gotcha for your gear and then there's gotcha for you know which is the rngy loopbox stuff for your characters which i'm not a fun i'm not a fan of it's not fun to get much higher yeah
Starting point is 00:32:24 exactly and the progression is really slow for some of the cool stuff you want to do in there um you know like there's that there's that there's that one dungeon you can like work through in like in like um and like uh what you call it's a there's a dungeon that you can like progress through if you have a stronger character where what i hear is where like the big grind comes from. Congrats to David and marketing team for the Seam Gift card. Oh, that's an armine right there. Big ups to them.
Starting point is 00:32:50 GGs. But yeah, Genshin is cool. You know, like, I like it. I just, I don't know. I feel like I don't like being forced into a particular playstyle because of the elements that the characters have, right? And that's why I kind of fell off on it because I don't have characters that, like, I really like too much in that game.
Starting point is 00:33:10 And there's obvious, like, better characters than others. All right. If you could create a sequel to any game and it would for sure be good, what would it be? Oh, man. A sequel to any game. I would love a sequel to... Man, this is rough. Y'all making this hard on me.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Half-life two. Alex doesn't count for me. Alex does not count for me. How many pets? do you have in do you want to have in the future? I want to have at least one to two dogs. I would like to have maybe a cat as long as it's a chill cat. I don't want like a jerk cat.
Starting point is 00:33:58 A lot of cats are jerks. And what else I think? Is that it? Oh, I will love a tagu. Does I know what a tagu is? I don't think it was heard of a tagu. Tagu's are giant monitor lizards and they're basically like scaly dogs. and you can they get huge right and you can you can call their name and though in the listen
Starting point is 00:34:24 they're very very smart animals a tagu would be sick but they shed and stuff yeah it's a lizard dog on april fose can the twitter be changed to txzn maybe uh what should do with my extra case give it to a friend or build a computer and sell it like an ebay or something um do you feel like your creativity is stifled by your distance away from the bldd team and their odd habits yes percent being at home makes it very very hard for me to create content the same way i used to in the office right one of my favorite things to do was uh just to get up for my desk right in the office walk over to the build warehouse and just find shenanigans like the the the the amount of shenanigans in the build warehouse is is is never ending right for for good reasons right for good reasons uh you know
Starting point is 00:35:11 people have fun and they work hard and i don't think they're allowed to goof off here and there um and just you know, because we are a tech company, we do make hardware products. It's hard to make content when I don't have those products there. Like when we got the H1, I'm like, yo, you know, I put a call out to my homies and build. Like, if anybody gets a build for an H1, let me know immediately. It's like, I will record this for Instagram Life, right? And I would just sit there and just, you know, hold my phone up and, and just, you know, just watch them build. I can't do that right now. I might have to start asking for marketing samples so I can like start taking dumb goofy videos of it or something.
Starting point is 00:35:49 But then the question is like, okay, do you want them to send me every single case in the world? Heck no, because I don't want to be holding a case, you know, in my house. I ain't got no room here, you know? Is it a problem if my stock resin cooler starts smoking like a chimney? Probably. Contact resin. Which part of Japan are you most likely one to go?
Starting point is 00:36:09 I would like to see Tokyo, but wouldn't want to stay there very long because I've heard. It's not entirely amazing. Honestly, I would kind of like. to go all over japan um there's so many places in that country right so many diverse types of like environments uh like i want to check out the hot springs right i uh i i had to find one that's like you know tattoo friendly um i love to go to like you know the akehabita district just to check it out i know i know it's like a tourist trap now but i still want to check it out right want to go to the pokewarm store you know like all you know all those really big dumb touristy things i want to go
Starting point is 00:36:44 to the studio gibbley music park when they open that thing up is going to be sick. I want to see the giant Gundam, right? Like, I wanted to, I want to do all the weeby anime stuff they ever wanted to do. But I also still, but I also want to like walk around and like meet cool people and like maybe like, you know, find a friend there and, you know, we go grab food and drinks and we just hang out for a night and just chat it up and just be people, you know? Um, that's, that's, that to me is really like, I think the, the coolest part of like going to different, uh, countries is meeting people. Um, and that's why when I can resume traveling, I want to set, set it up in a way where I can get like a guide who can just take me around and like an
Starting point is 00:37:20 just introduce me to people and show me all the cool stuff like if someone were to visit California right now and they're like oh I want to go to the Gatty Museum I want to go to the Griffith Observatory I'm like yeah it's cool but like yo having checked out you know Dante's tacos down the street is dope dude so they know they don't have to learn Japanese I still want to speak a little bit of Japanese you know I still want to I still want to have a little bit of a little bit of knowledge of the language so I can communicate get on my own. I just think it's only right. It's only fair. I and I think you get it more genuine interactions that way. Um, so, okay, have you watched Avatar the last AirBetter and who is your
Starting point is 00:37:55 character and why is it Iro? Uh, yes and yes, I pretty much. Uh, what do you think of Deca Gear VR headset? Never heard of it yet. I haven't seen it. Favorite PC cleaning slash refining software, i.e. i.o bit C cleaner. C cleaner, dude. Does you see cleaner? Uh, don't really need much else if you're downloading shitty stuff. Favorite Netflix show. Honestly, Queen's Gambit was lit. If you haven't watched Queen's Gambit,
Starting point is 00:38:20 you need to check it out. It's so good. Do you think the PS5 is better than a gaming PC? No. Tends down, no. I don't believe that consoles will ever be better than PCs.
Starting point is 00:38:35 For sheer, just pricing them games, pricing them online access, you know, what you can do with the hardware software. I can use my PC. easy for both work and for play. I can stream off of it. I can do a lot of things with my PC
Starting point is 00:38:47 that I cannot do with the console and I don't think I'll ever be able to do with the console once they turn them into computers, right? Um, but you know, I mean, the only reason I would really buy a PS5 would be for exclusives, right? And like at this point, I don't think I would buy they would have to have a really, a much larger catalog, you know, um, um, for me to even like, consider it. Uh, what times are you in it and why choose this time to host a podcast? Because I'm California, PST time, and this is the morning for me. So I'd rather do a podcast in the morning to do a podcast at night.
Starting point is 00:39:20 What do you think of the Disney Plus Marvel TV shows? I haven't checked them out, dude. I only really have Marvel. I only have a Disney Plus for the Star Wars content. You know, I haven't, I've had my fill of Marvel. I just want more movies. What hobby would I like to start? Ooh, we.
Starting point is 00:39:38 That is interesting question. What hobby would I? like to start oh man uh you know i'm gonna like use like a cop-out answer and say going back to playing guitar i really want to actually learn how to play guitar every time i go back to play i like learn a little bit more here and there right i always like get a little bit better and remember a couple of things here and there and some of the some of the stuff i did in the past you know um kind of comes back up but i like to actually learn how to play like a really good song it's like i'll learn to play metal metal is lit uh if you're not a fan of metal i i don't want to know you
Starting point is 00:40:13 to be honest. That's a big fat lie. It's, you know, it's a, it's, uh, there are so many good songs out there that could use guitar, right? I'll do, love to do that. It's like jam out and it's like, you know, hey, I'm, I'm going to play guitar today and just like, you know, add the guitar to this Ariana Grande song or something. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:40:36 So that would be kind of cool. Okay. Next, next giveaway is going. Let's do it. Let's do it, guys. Get those gift cards. Number four. Number four is going out.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Number four is going out. Sign out. Okay. What else you got here? Oh, dang, quick pans on the scrub arena here. All right. Let's keep going. What do you think about drones?
Starting point is 00:40:56 Hobby, FPV, grade, too professional, photography, videography. I mean, I think they're cool. I don't know. Do you love us? Love is a strong word. I tolerate you guys. If you could take one thing from Casey Nicestats in NYC studio, what would it be? I don't know what it has in the studio.
Starting point is 00:41:12 So what do you think of Subnotica? Subnotica is cool, but it's also spooky. And it's a good time waster. I like it. I like it. If you have one wish, what would it be? My one wish right now would be for there to be equity among all peoples, right? For everyone to be equal.
Starting point is 00:41:36 And I believe once we achieve that, you know, the society will be much better off. once everyone has a fair opportunity and has a fair chance of achieving the things that they want to achieve. I think that's, you know, the only real thing. Have we played Raft? Raft is boring, dude.
Starting point is 00:41:54 Oh, man. So I play a lot of like survival-y crafty games and I tried, but there's just so much just like, so much sitting around waiting for stuff to like come up and like hook with the hook that you get in the game, I just cannot do it.
Starting point is 00:42:12 It got too boring too quickly. There's too much downtime. Yeah, the nets are fine, but then you get a position, it's just too much for me. And the shark's annoying. I don't like the shark. He bothers me.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Favorite food spaghetti. Do you think pre-bilts are worth upgrading? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you know, yes. Any computer is worth upgrading. You can deactivate the shark. So yes, I know you can deactivate the shark, but the shark is part of the drama of the game.
Starting point is 00:42:44 It's inherent that you have the shark in there so that you kind of have a sense of urgency about things, you know? If your colleagues slash partner turned into zombies, would you kill them? And if so, what weapon would you use? I would kill them if there were zombies because you can't turn them back unless there is a serum to do so. And the weapon I would use would be a sharpened guitar. Think about that for a second. Super Bowl predictions. Raiders all the way, baby, Raiders all the way.
Starting point is 00:43:13 Let's go. How can you kill the undead? You hit him in the head. That's good how it works. What's your favorite project that you worked on at NZXT? Oh, I guess I would say the podcast. The podcast has been like my only real big project. Since I work social media, we don't really have any new projects.
Starting point is 00:43:36 We have like campaigns and stuff that we do, right? But I mean, honestly, social media currently is just really about maintaining their relationship, maintaining our posting cadence, maintaining, you know, what we already have in place. I have some new things I want to work on, but, you know, that comes with time and that comes with, you know, extra support and resources, and that's what we're currently working on right now. Lewis or Vettel, I don't know who those are. So yes. My favorite part of Minecraft, the beginning part.
Starting point is 00:44:07 once it gets to a certain to certain points I kind of get bored on Minecraft and then like when you play with people they kind of like just race past ahead of you
Starting point is 00:44:18 and then you don't know what's going on anymore that's the worst part about playing any kind of game like that with multiple people it's just you know people getting ahead and you're just kind of
Starting point is 00:44:26 you know you leave for a day and then they're like hey by the way I beat everything okay cool or like they literally mind everything in the world you like dig down a little bit
Starting point is 00:44:36 and you see those like traces of humans being there. Can you speed run Minecraft? No, I cannot. I've never had the chance to do that. Never, ever, ever. Let's see here. What we got here? Where are we at with this, with this baby?
Starting point is 00:44:54 Okay. What are the questions we got? What else we got here, guys? What time is it? It's 1148. We still got some time. Submarine monkey or pirate ship monkey in balloons tower.
Starting point is 00:45:06 defense i've never played it is it okay so is balloon star defense good like real talk is it actually a good good tower defense game i've been looking for a good tower defense game something to like chill with and like watch i have not uh had a chance yes yes yes yes should i play is well everyone's saying is yes jeez should i play it how much is it what it should go to legend and apex okay okay you have 25 hours it's amazing dan this guy's 100 okay you know what i will play i will literally play after the podcast uh during during during lunch break um what is my go to legend and apex so My favorite used to be Mirage, but it's kind of crappy in a fight, to be honest, I don't think he's that good. So I've been playing a lot of lifeline because her utility is just way too good.
Starting point is 00:45:47 But I really, I really want to get good at Rampart. I really want to get good at Rampart. Even though I don't like her. She annoys me as a character. Her voice lines bug me. I think she's cringy. But, you know, I think, I think she has a lot of value. And she'll get better.
Starting point is 00:46:07 I think they're going to definitely we work her a little bit and make her a little bit stronger. And I'm all here for. And also you with the new, um, is, okay, so she's going to buff. I knew it, right? So I knew it. I knew it. Um, hello, I'm optimized with the new map. Uh, I guess.
Starting point is 00:46:22 I don't know. Speaking of apex, I don't want to play. Let's do it. Okay. Um, let's see here. What do we got? What time is it right now? Uh, five guys are smash burgers.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Five guys. Do you smash burgers is not good. Oh boy, you guys hear that? Anybody else hear that? That little bloop bloop. Okay. Yeah? Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:45 I had to fix that. It's my notification system here. Witcher, Whicher has better stories, hands down. Cyberpunk is just not not hitting it for me. I think it'll definitely get better over time, though, for sure. Ever watch Top Gear? Yeah, it's a hilarious show.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Do Top Gear's incredible show. if you could have any weapon from any game what would it be that's a good one um the laptop gun from perfect dark look it up all right uh okay so while i'm getting some additional questions here then i'm going to answer let's do some uh community roundup what do we have going on this week actually we don't have anything going on this week i don't think so i was going to say general call out um Poogee professors, sign up if you want to help the community. Scrup can link that. Moderators, we're still in heavy need of moderators on the EU side.
Starting point is 00:47:48 So if you are a EU person and have experience moderating and are a leader, a self-starter, if you're a pro, a G, a boss, please apply. Obviously, if you're super new, give us some time to get to know you, you know. but definitely apply if you have experience, you know. The application is very important. Please don't sleep on it. Like, the only advice I can give you is take it seriously. It's not a meme, right?
Starting point is 00:48:18 We actually do curating, you know, take care of the community and you need to be about that life. Any esports you watch in general opinion on e-sports. I have a hard time watching e-sports because it's, depending on the game, there's so many different places where people play, right? Um, and it's hard to be a fan of a team when they change rosters so often, right? Um, and I don't find myself attached to any of the people in e-sports.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Um, I don't, uh, I don't, uh, like, I don't care about any of the players, right? And I feel like a lot of following e-sports, um, has to do with, you know, or just, just any sport, How to do with, like, how you feel personally, right? Like, I have a attachment to the Anaheim Angels because I live in Anaheim, right? Or the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim because I live in Anaheim, right? So to me, it's like, this is my team, right? I can, I can have like a hold on that. I don't, a relationship to that.
Starting point is 00:49:25 I don't have a relationship with Dignitas and I have a relationship with, like, TSM or Cloud 9 or, you know, Gen 2 or so on and so forth, right? To me, I don't, you know, I don't really, and I'm not really like that, you know? And then, like, for example, for me, Overwatch Eastports is just like, you know, it's London Spitfire and blah, blah, blah, but they all play out of L.A. And all the players are from Korea,
Starting point is 00:49:46 which is totally fine right through the best players of the best, but like none of those people represent me or make me feel like I have a relationship with them in any way, you know. It was an interesting idea, but it's not something that, like, I personally have an attachment to, you know, so it's hard for me to watch eosports. But every now then,
Starting point is 00:50:06 I'll watch things like the TI, you know, I watch like CSCO, Katavice, you know, I'll watch all kinds of stuff, but I don't really like follow it, you know, if that makes any sense. Following Eastport is hard. It's almost like a full-time job. Fitting out where things are streamed, you know, where they're going, stuff like that. Okay, where are we at here? We're at the final five minutes of the show. Sonic or Mario? Sonic every time. Sonic was was the bad boy, dude. Sonic was the cool kit. He was the one you wanted to be like, you know, so it was, was it was a Sega does what Nintendo don't.
Starting point is 00:50:42 You don't remember that? No, no. That was a, that was like the, the slick marketing campaign. All right. We're going to do the last, uh, the last one right now, the last Steam gift card. I keep typing stream. I don't know why. Steam gift card number five.
Starting point is 00:51:00 All right. Let's not. Let's not do that. There we go. Okay. Go ahead and get at it, guys. Win it. Please wait for redemption instructions.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Do not DM me. I will DM you. I will personally reach out to get you guys the Vittles. The reactions are blurred. Dang, City 5. Woo, y'all going nuts. You guys just want a free stuff. It's how it is, huh?
Starting point is 00:51:28 You're not here for me. You're here for the free stuff. All right. And there's really pretty much it. Pooji Professor. Pucci's pick should be happening soon. So I believe you show the the vote, the little thing out for that,
Starting point is 00:51:44 the vote card or whatever, the form to vote for it. If you're a member of this community, please, please, please fill out that form. Fill it seriously, right? Serious candidates only, no meme candidates. You know,
Starting point is 00:51:59 we want to highlight the community. We want to give love to the community. You know, you also get team gift cards for being a for being a poochies pick you know but if it's obvious that it's like a joker or meme or something then you know obviously we're not gonna you know we're not gonna do that yeah yeah please don't post the form it's not that's not smart it's in that private channel for a while my dude uh oh my god uh y'all y'all y'all are a trip um okay uh see i'm trying to think of anything cool coming up anytime soon so podcast news podcast update uh we're gonna have a cool
Starting point is 00:52:41 guest coming up next week and then the weeks following that excuse me sorry about that um i'm i'm trying to i'm starting to hit that like point where i've been talking from an hour nonstop and like my brain's starting to shut down it's starting to get a little mushy right it's going to get a little slow um yeah we have a cool guest coming up next week uh to be announced uh hopefully we can get some some work around that And what else trying to think? We also are working on upgrading the podcast, you know, big news coming up for the community team as well.
Starting point is 00:53:18 So, you know, keep an eye out on that. And it's really, it's really pretty much it. I don't really know what else we got, what else we really got going on. You know, my bad. I'm going to, I'm going to not shut out the wallpapers and the set-ups people because I've only done the setups and I feel like it's not fair to the wallpaper people to never get a shout out so we're going to stop that for now until we forgot a better method maybe we'll change it out um also I will say um food for thought for the community here right regarding the the n60 club
Starting point is 00:53:54 discord server um if you have suggestions or thoughts for different contests like the wallpapers and setups let us know throw your suggestions into the mod mail or you know DM one of the admins and we'll we'll take a look at it right um who won it Troy congrats do you look at that well a little friend oh here winning some stuff good job guys giving them pins all right so I think I think we can end it here guys what do you what do you think are you cool at that do you have your blessing to continue on with the rest of the day maybe not for some reason my song isn't letting oh my lord dude there you go okay here we go thank you for joining us everyone and thank you to all who tuned in before or after the show

Starting point is 00:55:18 I can't spell the I'm dying right now. At n-Z-X-T.com to send an email and ask us a question if you are not a live listener. Don't forget to listen to previous episodes on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, Spotify, and SoundCloud. Get hooked up. share it with a friend, please. You want those numbers. Give them numbers.
Starting point is 00:55:39 If you get 10,000 monthly listeners, maybe we'll do some more cool stuff. Maybe we'll give away $100,000 from gift cards. Who knows? But you got to show me that you're willing to support the show, you know, that you're willing to, you know, go out there into the world and speak about this podcast.
Starting point is 00:55:57 And also, when are we going to do open line? We can do open line soon. Maybe we, you know, again, we get a lot of people listening. will, you know, it's, it gives us ideas to do more stuff with it, you know, this is a, this is a relationship, friends, this is, it also tip is not wrong, right? 90% of you, we cannot trust. But, right, help us, help you. Work with us, work with you, right? Your bad at relationships, well, you got to start trusting. You got to put some trust. You get
Starting point is 00:56:27 put some trust. That's the problem. Put some trust in. And also to the person in the pre-show who asked, you know, uh, you know, how do I talk to females? I forgot about this, right? Word of advice. Don't call them females, right? They're women. You know, treat them as like humans. What are they in females?
Starting point is 00:56:45 I think of like someone talking about like a, like a, like, I don't know, like a line at the zoo or something, you know, let's use her language wisely. It's treat people with respect and with love. Anyway, if you could as well, leave us a positive review for like what you hear. Believe it's a review, especially if you don't. Could we support the haters? And also, you know, suggestions and stuff. Other than that, guys, thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:57:18 Talk to you next time. Peace out.
