Don't make that face. It's an awful face. I hate, I actually, what are you doing? I don't like that this is your vibe for Woody and for Matthew. This feels. I don't have a choice. I know, but.

At least you could have at least like set it up somewhere with a little bit of a better. Like not in a bed. Upstairs, everyone's working and there's nowhere to do it. Well, I'm super excited because I love both of these guys very much. And I've known both of them forever. We've known Woody since I was a baby. Yep. And I know Matthew Moore.

Woody has been a minute. And McConaughey, obviously, I don't think I need to explain how I know. No McCona. I think everyone knows. I think everyone knows. I think everyone knows. But he's the best and I'm really excited to actually get them together. It's kind of, it's so cute.

I know. And they have this show, their show brothers and it'll be fun to talk. Which is cool because it's sort of based on their stories. Yeah, right? Every show is like, everything's like, what is it? Something about a rumor based on what could have been a rumor or something? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I think Lee, my friend Lee Eisenberg is one of the creators on it.

And it sounds like it's going to be really, really fun. We have to interview them at a press junket, which, by the way, is weird for me because I'm usually on the other side. I'm like, I'm like, what's happening? It's like, okay, all right. I know how this goes. You know, they're sitting there all day. They're exhausted. Right.

And of course they love you, but they're probably still like, oh, God. I'm not like, Kane Ollie. Like, why? Why are we doing? Well, you know what? They have no choice. They don't. We got them.

We got them. And they're stuck. And they're stuck and well lit. And we're going to make it fun and enjoyable. I can't. Oh, let's do it. The best. There's Oliver.

In the basement of a house, I'm filming. And they were able to carve out an hour. And so this is it. I'm sitting up against the bed. The sheets are turquoise. Yeah. He's got these weird, like, blue. I got like a sign angle.

And I was like, this is awful. Like, I can't, I don't know what's happening. I told her to get a guest toast. She said, no. No. No. I get it. I need all the brothers.

All the rows. No, I know. Hey, guys. How's the junk it? So fun. You know there's nothing more fun than a junket. More than half of these things have been virtual so far. So you're talking to 20 people out there and you don't see them.

And Woody's doing great. Like he said, he loves these things. I never, this is my happy place. This is, I can tell. When did I see you last? I can't remember when, but we had a good time. I saw you the Chateau. Oh, that's right.

Yes. Yes. That was great. And then with Laura, your wife, and we had a cocktail. And it was great. It was so fun. Hey, Woody, you know, the last time I saw you was Wildcats. Yeah.

I remember both of you running around. You were a little, you know, four or five-year miscreants running around and having the best time and hanging out with the other kids in the neighborhood where we were shooting. Yeah, in Chicago. Yeah. And how old were you and you to Wildcats, Woody? Oh, so that must have been,

I must have been about 31 or something. So 34 years ago? Because you're 65. That's right. Thank you. Isn't he a good-looking 65? He kind of. He is.

He kind of stopped. at like 40. And then it just sort of, it's just been like an even 40 for. You're very kind and I'm so desperate. I'm just going to believe it. Yeah, we were little and we were in all in Chicago and that was a really fun set. It was one of the most memorable ones for me as a little girl because I was, I think, six. Yeah. And we, there's a really cute picture of you and me and I got to find it, but I think I'm on your shoulders. Oh, really? Yeah, I got to find it somewhere. Ah, great. And I have the same one of Matthew and I many years later. Were you on my shoulders? You're on his shoulders. Probably. I probably

have one somewhere. Maybe I was on your shoulders. That too. That too. All right, guys. How's your mom doing? She's great. She's great. She's in New York. She's not far from where Ali is right now. And she's doing good. Give me my love. How's Karen doing? Oh, Kurt is, Kurt. He's great. He's just doing his thing. He's in Colorado. He wants to spend more and more time on the ranch.

He's just like every time he gets, you know, a moment, he's just on the ranch. Yeah, our brother Boston got a yurt. So he's just all up in the yurt. I mean, he's all about decorating a yurt. That's his main focus right now. Yeah. Perfect. Yeah, he's been complaining about how much it was.

to change the roof, to finally waterproof the roof. And other than that, he's doing great. The roofs are already waterproof on those yards. No. No, this is on the house. No, on the house. You had to redo the roof. And it's been all we've heard about.

So, guys, we are, you know, we talk to people about, you know, how they grew up. and they're, you know, their siblings and everything. And I know quite a bit about both of you, actually. But I feel like this is the right time to talk about your guys' relationship. You're 30 years of friendship. There's a lot of talk about the fact that you could actually be brothers. We are. We are brothers.

He's... We are brothers. He doesn't want to face up to... Look, his mom... said to me, well, everybody was there. We were watching the women's U.S. soccer team, World Cup, which they won. And during it, I mentioned my father for some reason, and she goes, Mamak, his mom says, I knew your father.

I'm like, that ellipsies told me a lot. It was a very pregnant, a lip-se. Literally a pregnant, I mean, even our youngest son, I think, was six years old, he even got the NU-N down. I was like, who, he could tell, but yeah, he knew the whole. And then, you know, and he told me before that,

a long time ago that when Maumack told Jim, I'm going to the hospital to give birth, ultimately to him, you know, let's go. He says, oh, I ain't going. That ain't my son. That's because they... He did the math, and the math was not math. That's because they've been trying for five years

and nothing was sticking. Yeah, nothing was sticking. Interesting. I've heard some of these Mal-Mack stories, you know. They've got new meaning now with this. So Woody fully believes it. Well, anyway, they were divorced twice. They were married three times, his parents, to each other.

And during the second divorce was when she met Charles V. Harrelson, and they consummated and made Matthew McConnell. Wait, is it, okay, look, is it an actual fact that there was consummation? Do we know that? There's no actual fact. There's an elongated I knew, followed by an ellipsis. Then there is, oh, if you do the timeline, it would have been during mom and dad's second divorce, and there's this quote that Woody loves to repeat

that my dad said, Katie, I ain't coming to the hospital to see you get birth to that boy because he had, that ain't mine. So Woody is added in three as being like water is wet. I mean, it's a fact. No. Matthew, I'm kind of leaning team Woody on this one.

I mean, if I'm... In reality, his last name should be Harrelson, so he should be Matthew Harrelson. Mm-hmm. There is a way to find out, but I guess he just choose not. I want to do it, but he doesn't want to do it. There's no reason to do it. Look, I got it.

I got it ready to go here. What he brought the year analysis cups? I got these cups. It's ready to go. Wow. Wow, he's afraid. But I kind of feel like at this point it doesn't matter, right? It's like you are brothers.

You guys live like brothers. you play like brothers, you know each other like brothers at this point. If it's not, if it is true, then you're asking me to unpack 56 years of, even who my dad was. If it's not true, it's going to break his heart and then this whole fun thing's done. You know, I will say, though, but if it is true and you have to unpack things, it could make for a great book. Yes, oh great.

You know, you know. Well, it would make for something. There's why not I'd have one more. No, that's called yellow. That one's called yellow light. Definitely. Big pause. Driving in reverse to a yellow light.

This when you thought you were going one way, you showed up on the backside. Right. Woody, where did you grow up? And where did you grow up, Woody? I grew up in Texas. I was born in Midland. then grew up in Houston and now live in Austin.

Do you live in Ohio for a while? Oh, yeah, we lived in Ohio for a while. That was my junior high in high school. I was in Ohio. And how far away were you from where Matthew grew up? Midland is about six hours, about seven hours west, northwest. Yeah, it's big distances there between places. But how did you guys, how did you meet?

He remembers us meeting at a CAA party one afternoon at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and coming up and introduce himself saying, hey, you want to do a shout of tequila? And I said, no, I've got stuff to do this afternoon. He said, what's that got to do with doing one little shout of tequila? How's that going to slow down your afternoon? I don't remember meeting then. I remember meeting on Ed TV. We're in San Francisco.

I'm in a wardrobe fitting on one of those second-story apartments with great wooden floors on one of those hills in San Francisco. Windows were open, and Woody's supposed to come to the wardrobe fitting after me. And I hear through the window, I hear this. I go to the window, I look out the window. That sound is coming from a man walking up the street in a full Tour de France bicycling uniform

with the clip-in shoes. And he's walking. No bikes in sight. There's no bike to do with this. So I go, oh, I like this guy. He walks in on those beautiful mahogany wooden floors just creases the hell out of them. And the wardrobe lady goes,

let's talk about your wardrobe. He says there's nothing to talk about. This is what I wear. And I said, I like this guy. Oh, my God. His version of that story is beautiful. I would never counter any of it. Of course not.

But what is the thread? You know what I mean? Like, when did you guys understand that, okay, there's love in the air? You know what I mean? Like, when you create a friendship that strong, there's something there. Well, what happened was we had this one night I'd come over to his house. He had a house up on Mahal and for a while. And we were playing ping pong and we were drinking Maker's Mark.

And right? And, you know, eventually the table was completely irrelevant. It was just about whoever, you can't let the ball stop moving. If the ball comes to the, if the ball ever stand still, you lose the point. That's a point. So no matter what, you don't let that ball stand still. So I'd whack the thing back to him, and eventually we're outside. It was out of the garage.

It was rolling down the driveway on the mall. Mohal and we're, and sweating and bleeding and drunk playing this form of ping pong. Yeah. That's when we kind of. That was it. That was the best. That was it. And that was a good example of where you and I kind of start and don't end is that both of us, I think, take a lot of pride and not being the first one to cry uncle.

On getting a situation that might be fun or even getting quite dangerous. Yeah. Where were you guys at in your career at that time? That was around EdTV, 99. Right. 99? Yeah. Yeah.

99. 98, 99. I think it came out maybe in 98. 98. Okay. So you guys were recognized, but you weren't the people you are today. Yeah. Were you?

I mean, no, Woody you've been around for, you know, for cheers and wildcats and all that. Woody, yes. Yeah, but was this... But Matthew, was this before... Where... So, Joe. He was a mega star at this point already. I was like, had he already graced the Vanity Fair cover?

Yeah, time to kill. Time to kill. That was it, right? Yeah. Yeah. So you guys were like, that's a great time to me. This record is on. Miley is having a moment.

After the... Yeah, Woody's just, yeah, he doesn't say no to any sort of dare or any kind of, you know. Well, you could drive there, but what if we hang glide there? Oh, yeah, you know. I will say this, you know, Matthew, now he plays tennis, you know, three, four hours a day, not to mention separately, he also does gym work, which is. That's no small deal either. That's an hour minimum.

And then so he's five hours a day just keeping this. You know, this body didn't fall out of the sky. Yeah. And, but I will say he used to run. And, you know, we used to have his airstream and my bus were parked next to each other. We were working on this movie Surfer Dude, which he produced, turned out real good. But anyway, we're running up this hill. He would run four miles up this hill and then four miles back down.

And I mean, I'm trying to keep up with them. It's impossible. You know, and I'm just barely surviving. And my feet, you can't even call it running. You could call it maybe a fast walk at this point. But I'm struggling to do that. And he's like, you know, he's come back down the mountain and he's like running backwards.

Come on, buddy. You know, like that kind of thing. Those are the kind of things that I would like to call Uncle on, you know. But now, he may go slower, but he will not stop. Yeah. Put one foot in front of the other. He has too much pride to do that. Also, from personal experience, this is also someone who could like do a handstand

to cross a banister. That guy. Oh, yeah, Woody. Do you know his story? them doing the handstand on the edge of the Grand Canyon? Oh, I don't want to hear. I don't even want to hear that. It, like, freaks me out.

It was actually in Utah. It was still a canyon. But it was a quarter of a mile drop. If you went over, it was non-negotiable, you die. Right. He's on the edge, 18 inches away. Boop! Handstand.

Oh, yeah. I don't even know where we were. I remember Woody at one point. I remember saying to my boyfriend at the time, I was like, I can't watch this. Like this is bad. Like you were climbing some house.

Climbing. Doing so good. I was like, I can't. I can't. This is like I'm having full anxiety. Well, he doesn't know how to go through a front door. No. Even in the totals.

Which is great when you're locked out. And the top of the tree and come cascading in and a, you know, in a parachute. If the front door is wide open, you can walk right through it. He won't walk through it. Yeah. He was free climbing. he was he's been free climbing his whole life yeah yeah so it's a lot of your a lot of his relations based on mischief as well it seems just getting into shit yeah a lot of mischief

yeah but no one's ever gotten caught has anyone gotten dinged by the police he got yeah yeah i've been dinged but he's been dinged famously like five six times yeah but you know mostly they were pretty nice yeah mostly i think it's i think it's like what i what's so fun is But, you know, you guys have this. And I think you, you know, a lot of people feel that about your relationship. It's playful and it's mischievous. But where do you balance each other as friends? So look, yeah, where I start, where he ends, where he starts where I end is a murky spot.

That's for sure. But we have heart to hearts all the time. Yeah. Trying to be better men, better dads, better husbands, better friends, better friends. better actors. We have those talks all the time. I'll tell you a beautiful moment that also happens to be funny and it was on true detective and and Woody shows up to work and I can tell he's got a dark cloud on his back and it's hard to tell if Woody's got a dark cloud on his back because he some of this

lot, most stuff that he goes through that's tough I find out later I was like man I couldn't even tell that happened to me I wouldn't have been able to show up to work and I couldn't even tell it was bothering you. So anyway this particular moment he's dark and I say man you want to come by for lunch he comes by the trailer we sit down and he tells me what's going on in his life and it was something that I was the kind of problem that can shake your floor and as a friend I was like oh shit dude wow and I'm really felt for him anyway after him telling me I got tears running down my face he's got tears running down his face and off so I'm like what he meant you just got to tell me bro when you're going through stuff

like this and so many other things and it just seems like it's water off a duck's back to you How do you get by all these things that they would paralyze me and most people? But you, you just kind of like a water off a duck's back. How do you get them out of your consciousness and go about your day? And he sits there and cries and sniffles and everything. Like, it stops and like me and legs at me goes, man, I just forget about it. And that's one of them geniuses. The dude just forgets about it.

That is funny. But he has a great, great confidant, you know, like, you know, you give him your, your Mishigash or whatever, and you get back real wisdom, you know, he's one of the wisest people I know. And he has just a way of looking at things that's, that he kind of helps you, you know, like just see it in the right light, you know? just keep going. Yeah, I mean, it's interesting. You know, like just masculinity, a friendship based on mischief and fun and booze and having a good time.

And that sort of the vulnerable aspect of a friendship really is when you become true, real friends. And sometimes as men, it's hard to go there, you know, and to be able to sort of open up your heart and open up who you are to that person. For me, it's easy. You know, I'm in touch, I have a lot of feelings. You know, was it at all difficult for you guys in any way?

Or was it just, boom, it's all right out there. Everything's on the sleeves. Look, I think it was easy for me, and I'm pretty sure I can't. Speaking for you, I think it was easy for you. We didn't, it wasn't like we were all just funny games, and then all of a sudden had something hard happen, and we're like, oh, now we've got to deal with this. We deal with those things just in the same stride.

I mean, that night after those tears, we partied and had a good time. You know, what was it like, that wasn't its own moment of overly serious stuff. But one thing we don't do, while we share opinions and have different philosophies on things, we really don't judge the other one. And we don't carry resentments.

No, if there's something. Do not carry a grudge. And by the way, we get pissed at each other plenty. Do you really? He wouldn't let you. Like one time I got pissed at him, it was actually when we were to do. doing that the penultimate scene and uh through to the final scene yeah the this yeah just before the

final scene we did a scene in the hospital and then uh you know i got pissed i forget what it was but he we come you know i i i come out of the doors of the hospital he's right behind me grabs me spins me around you know got my head in his hands are okay come on what is it dude just say it let's get this out, you know, he wouldn't allow, he'd have one of those times that I might have just let, you know, let it build and turn into some kind of resentment, but he wouldn't, he wouldn't allow that. But we never hold a grudge,

and we do plan to piss the other one off. Yeah, I was about to ask that, do you? I mean, do you do piss each other off? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Obviously. Yes.

He has no context of time. Right, I was about to say, He has no context of consideration of consequences. Right. Now that's not entirely true. Pretty damn close. Well, I... Well, I mean, honestly, sorry, but it goes with this whole philosophy of,

I just forget about it. Like, it's... And keep an open mind, man. Forget philosophy. It's all predestined. Right, except. What'll happen? It'll happen anyway.

Well, actually, no. No, if we decide not to break into that house to pull that prank on that person, then we might not have gotten arrested in her end up now. Well, see, what you're saying all of this, but let's say that, you know, there was someone who was like pissing someone off who would be the first person to confront that person. Well, you see, Matthew is great at, you know, he won't let shit just be hovering. And I don't like to either, but I sometimes will not express myself when I should, but he never doesn't express himself.

If he's feeling something or he thinks I'm feeling something that needs to be addressed, I give him great credit. I mean, that's something he is fantastic at. great that way as a father, you know? He doesn't... You know, if anything's going on with the kids, it's like, we're talking about this right now. Yeah.

I think that came from mom. Mom, you couldn't know grudges in our house. Katie, you and I've talked about that. You could not... If you were going to have it out, and even if you had school the next morning at 7 a.m., you were going... If you couldn't get it out by 5 a.m.,

if you couldn't get it out by the time I was going to school, you weren't going to school. We're going to sit here until we all walk away from here crying, hugging each other and saying, I love you, and that's it. Don't bring it up again. And you can't go later on and go, well, remember that time. Uh-uh. Boy, you'll get in trouble for that. Bring it back up, because that was over.

Yeah. And did you implement that philosophy in your house, Matthew, you know, with your kids, with wife, with all of it? Try to. Yeah. Look, try to. Because sometimes it's hard with these fucking teenagers. Hell, yeah, it is. aren't going to say shit to you.

You know? I don't allow that with my teenagers or adults now that I have an adult child, which is so crazy. No, we have to talk about everything. And they're not leaving until we do. That's how I am. No, no, I know. But my thing is with Wilder, he's 19. Oh, by the way, you know, Levi was living at Chad's house.

What a fucking good kid. I'm not just saying that. Like, he's such an awesome kid. I spent half a day with them hanging out. He's just so cool. And Wilder, my son and Levi were texting, trying to golf together. It didn't quite work out. But same age, you know, Wilder, I know something's up, but he's 18, and he's just like, no, I'm good, I'm fine.

I'm like, dude, I know something's fucking wrong. But I can't keep pressing, pressing, pressing. I have to kind of give him his space as well. There's this balance. Yeah. Well, you know, the other thing that, you all know this with kiddos, how I grew up, It was, you sat down and it was looked in the eye, undivided attention, nothing else going on, what's going on?

Man, that doesn't work as well. Because you got to kind of go for a drive or get them doing something. They don't know. They're letting you know their shit, you know what I mean? So true. One's undivided attention doesn't seem to work as well. I also feel like I've been doing a lot of family meetings. And I feel like when you just take everybody and concentrate everybody in one room.

And I find that when you get everybody in the room, it's, you know, in this day and age, with everything and all the distractions and all the shit going on, they're just so happy to, everybody's just so happy to be in that room together with no distraction, you know? And I find that with my kids, at least.

I think they like it. My daughter can get stuff out of my sons that my wife and I have trouble getting out of them. So what, so rooster, Matthew, how many siblings do you have is just rooster? No, rooster. Pat. So Pat's, what, 64, Rouser 74?

My brothers were massively mischievous. A rooster, yeah. And Pat, too. And they call me, you know, they think mom and dad were a lot easier on me. They call me the Golden Boy, and I said,

no, I just learned from watching that you guys got busted and I pulled, I got away with stuff better. I saw how they failed and succeeded to get away with stuff. We had no, we had a lot of mischief. I think my parents kind of kind of... He kept his mischief on the down low, you know. You know, so Mom don't see it.

You? But I was not, I wasn't, I was actually a real mama's boy and, you know, always going to church. And it wasn't until later in life that I became more, I don't know, rebellious, anarchistic. Is that a word? Sure. Yeah. I like that word. I like that word.

I think that's a bird. Where did that come from? Was that rebelling against sort of the strict, maybe more of a strict nature? Well, I think at some point I did, you know, I did a lot of, I studied a lot of theology. And at some point, I don't want to rub you the wrong way, but I just decided, okay, because of all the things that I discovered that were man-made having to do with the Bible. and before that, it was like this, every word is the word of God. And then once I started realizing the influence of the Nicene Council of the early church, I started saying, hold on.

So it's a little more man-made, man-put-together this thing that they're calling the word of God. And at some point, I just finally decided, okay, I'm not going to say that I believe in God, or I'm not, I'm just going to put this whole question on whole, put a little bookmark in this and revisit it later, which was perfect timing for the new religion in my life at that stage, which was hedonism. So you just forgot about it. You were like, I'm going to forget about God for a second. Just for a second.

So you just started to question it all? Yeah. I mean, I was pretty hyper religious, you know. And I guess, yeah, I just started looking at it differently, you know. All these things that I just thought, this is how it is. Once that started to, you know, it wasn't all black and white, it started to gray a bit. I don't know, it kind of introduced a new element in my life. Do you guys talk about theology and religion and stuff?

Yeah, yeah. We talk about everything. You do, because Matt, you're a Christian, I assume. I'm a unbelieve you. Yeah. And then Woody, you're not. Well, I'm actually, I'm poor religions now. I'm a Hindu-Butafarian.

That way I get more holiday time than most people. This sounds like a good religion. Woody, when did the arts become a big, like something that excited you, you know, performing and the idea of starting. or thinking that you'd want to become an actor? Well, it was, you know, when I was in high school, Elvis Presley died, and so I got this thing. I think it was called Elvis's Golden Oldies.

You know, you used to be able to send a nickel. It was in the TV guide. You'd send a nickel and you get five records, but you've got to buy them the rest of your life, maybe. But anyway, one of them was Elvis's Golden Oldies. singing along to these albums and then I'm I had when I'd go to the football games I'd be singing it and the guys on the bus liked it and so the couple of the football players we were all in the library and they're like hey Woody do your Elvis I'm like man

it's it was just before Christmas and there was packed and I says I can't it's too many people in here do it soft I say I can't I don't know how to do it soft and And so I started doing, they convinced me luckily, and I was like, well, bless my soul, was wrong with me. I made you like I'm on a fuzzy trip. My friend said, my, wild as a bug, a man who love.

I'm all shook up, mm-hmm, and I started singing. And then pretty soon, like the whole library, everybody starts gathering around and they're clapping long. It's surreal. I'd never performed in my life. And then I even jump up on the table and, you know, finish all this, you know, the song. And up comes Robin Rogers was her name. And she, she was the prettiest girl in the school, went out with the best athlete in the school. And she comes up and she says, I'm Robin Rogers. I go, I know who. Yeah. And she goes, she says, if I'm vice president.

of the drama club, if you would like, why don't you come down and try out for a play? And I'm like, okay, I will. That's literally why it happened, because those guys got me to sing. There's something quintessentially Woody right there. All right, first time I asked to perform, embarrassed, nervous, no, not here,

starts doing it, sees that people are digging it. And instead of just finishing and going, thank you, in the middle of seeing them digging it, he goes, well, I've got, getting on top of the table. Yeah. That's the genius of Woody right there. If something's going well on the floor,

he'll take it to the table. That's like, that's a good segue into the show, into this show, brothers. It's good on the floor and now you're taking it to another level with this show. Yeah. Are you guys, how did this idea come about? The idea came from the story you told

about Mom, Mac and Greece 10 years ago, And then about three years ago, he said, hey, what if we should, you know, we had talked about it's great, which we do with it, live it out, or just or makes a show. And he goes, what if we, what if we make a show about it? And that was a great idea. So we went away. We got a bunch of our stories together, a loose sort of outline, met with the showrunner. They liked it. Went to a few places.

A few places wanted it. We decided to go with Apple, and here we are. Have you guys turned a lot of shit down that they want you to do together? Because it's probably hard not to work together all the time. It must be fun as hell. There's been a number of things like I'll send over to him or he'll send over to me. And yeah, we, you know, we both want to work together, but we don't want to do it in the wrong project.

This one certainly felt like the great project since we're playing ourselves and we're brothers and we are brothers. And how do you guys work together? you know, on set, do you, is it very collaborative between the two of you? Well, what if we did this? What if we said that? You know? Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's fun. It's just fun. Yeah. It really, you could, to call it work would be black, you know. It's really fun. Oh, that's the best. I'm so excited for you. I'm so excited for everybody to get a deeper, a deeper look into your so-called life together. Um, well, let's, we, we,

A little bit of a speed round, I thought, before we get going. She say speed round? Speed round. He loves speed. Speed round's making nervous. Go on a lightning round. He really fucks me up, yeah. Okay.

You're at a dinner, and someone at the next table starts a fight, who's getting involved first? If it's just general, I can have any skin in the game, I'm going to say Woody's probably the first to go in the fight. It's similar to, did you all see the Emmys the other night? I didn't watch. Yeah, I didn't watch. Okay, well, at the end of the show, we presented the best comedy series. You know this is the speed round. Which Widows Bay won.

Yeah. And if you look at the picture of the Widows Bay producers and actors, the main character, which I didn't know until now, was Woody Harrelson. He didn't get off to the side after we handed him the trophy. He's just right behind the producer's shoulder and Matthew Rice telling him, talking to Matthew Rise about Padell or something, and tell the producer what she ought to say. front and center. Were you even wondering why she didn't get out of the way to give you the mic?

I thought I had a few words to say. No, I honestly was, I just was like, you know, he handed the award to her and I shook her hand. The next thing, you know, I'm just standing there realizing, oh, I'm here with the rest of the people. Then I left over and I saw Matthew. He was in the mix, and then I looked again. I was off to the side of the market. And I looked the end and he was off to the side. He wasn't right in the mix.

And then I was like, well, now it's like be more embarrassing to walk out of this thing. Which my not show. You and your viewers. Such a quintessentially Woody moment. I love it so much. It does a genius thing. When it's, it's done. All right, everyone's clap.

Shows over. People are moving off the stage. The last person as a walker. off to turn directly to camera and give freaking blue steel fucking right down the pipe of the land. Right down the pipe. Blue fucking steel.

Oh, that's the best. Okay, who's most likely to say trust me? How does the speed round going to go in? It's going great. It's going great. Who's most likely to say trust me immediately before everything goes sideways?

Him. You know one of his favorite lines? to this to me when he's trying to convince me of something? He said this to me before he somehow's blocked it from his memory. But his best argument to me, when he's really trying to convince me something that he knows is true, he goes, I know it's true because I didn't even believe it at first.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. All right, I know the, I think I know. That's the fact. Guys, this might be a... That's a kind of fact is what that is. This might be a tough one. Who's most likely to disappear on vacation and come back with a true story nobody believes? That's what I was going to say.

That sounds like Matthew. He will go off. He will wander. And, you know, you never know. How many times your family's like, we haven't seen him six days? What? Oh, my God. You know.

We were shooting fools gold, and Matthew ended up in Papua New Guinea and came back with a war wound that went all the way down his back. And I was like, where were you? And he was like, I went to Papua New Guinea and I was surfing. I'm like, what? And I don't know what happened. But do you remember that? I do remember that.

That was insane. I do remember that. Yeah. I think he was like, you know, hanging with the indigenous tribes and was like right in there. It was a really crazy story. The last cannibals. Hey, who would be the first to consistently have strangers

that he had just met at the airport when he landed in so said foreign country? Who would be the first to have those strangers sitting at the coffee table in your room? when you were right. Oh my God. Hey, man. You met Steve and Lois, they're great, man.

They just, they're newlyweds, man. We met them at the airport. On the plane, you sit next to them. No, no, no, we were just walking out and getting our love because they're great, man. To tell us, you got to talk, and they're great. That's awesome. Oh, you guys, we love you.
