Somewhere in the Skies - Not Alone: 10 Strange Alien Encounters
Episode Date: September 14, 2026What happens when a UFO sighting becomes something much closer? From police officers witnessing a landed UFO and humanoid occupants in 1950s France to travelers followed by a craft in Australia, tower...ing entities in Spain, strange visitors at a woman’s front door in Brazil, and mysterious beings emerging from landed craft in the Philippines, these cases push the boundaries of the unexplained. We also explore a figure materializing inside a Florida bedroom, humanoids observed through a UFO over Norway, a pale “Grey” emerging from the woods in Illinois, and humanlike silhouettes aboard a bizarre craft over Germany. Across these accounts are recurring details: UFO landings, alien beings, missing time, paralysis, strange lights, electromagnetic disturbances, and physical traces. We look beyond the lights in the sky and ask what happens when the unknown comes face-to-face with us. Somewhere in the skies is excited to be working
with Ubigity University
to bring you Transformation 2026,
the fourth mind,
which is a live four-week webinar series
hosted by legendary communion author
Whitley Streber.
Beginning September 17th,
Whitley will lead four live 90-minute sessions exploring the visitors,
non-human intelligence, human consciousness,
and what contact could mean for our future.
This course goes far beyond traditional UFO disclosure,
examining the biology and technology of the visitors,
abduction experiences, secrecy and ontological shock,
sigh abilities, hidden human human history,
history and the possibility that we've lost a deeper connection to consciousness.
Whitley will also explore his concept of the fourth mind, a time-spanning form of consciousness
that could offer an entirely new way of understanding contact.
The series includes four live Zoom webinars, recordings of every session, and optional
live integration sessions for deeper discussion and reflection.
If you followed Whitley's work or you're ready to explore the deeper mysteries of contact and consciousness,

For generations, people have looked to the skies and reported things they couldn't explain.
But in some of the strangest accounts, the mystery didn't just remain overhead.
Witnesses described figures emerging from landed craft, watching silently from illuminated windows,
appearing along deserted roads, and standing impossibly close to their homes.
Their descriptions span the bizarre and the eerily familiar.
Yet certain details seem to surface again and again,
separated by decades, cultures, and thousands of miles.
Tonight, we're going to revisit ten extraordinary encounters from around the world.
Some fleeting and some solitary.
Others supported by multiple witnesses.
Physical traces, electromagnetic disturbances, and effects that lingered long,
after the figures disappeared.
Whether these stories represent visitors from somewhere else,
something far stranger, or just mystery still yet to be understood.
One question remains,
What happens when the unexplained steps out of the skies
and stands directly in front of you?
I'm Ryan Sprague, and these are 10 of the strangest alien encounters
you've ever heard.
While our government's official position is not to speculate on this subject, we can choose to let our minds explore other possibilities.
To use our imaginations, for if we consider the astroscientists agree on one point that the possibility of life elsewhere is not only quite probable, some feel that is there without a doubt.
Let us suppose them that these objects are real space vehicles, extraterrestrial origin, and not an illusion of the mind.
I'm Ryan Spratt, and you are now somewhere in the skies.
In January of 1956, two French police officers were pushing their bikes up a hill near a small village in France.
When they heard what sounded like a heavy vehicle approaching from behind, believing it to be a truck, the officers leaned their bikes against the wall of a nearby barn and waited, intending to record its passage in their logbooks.
But the sound continued to grow.
until it became far too loud to be any ordinary vehicle.
But even more unsettling, it no longer seemed to be coming from the road.
It was coming from the skies.
Only 10 or 20 feet above the ground, approximately 150 feet from the officers,
a dark, circular craft appeared.
The officers estimated it to be roughly 30 feet across,
with reddish flames shooting from openings or nozzles along its underside.
As it passed, a powerful blast of hot air struck the officers, nearly pinning them against the barn.
One of the officers instinctively reached for his revolver, only to discover that he couldn't move.
His partner experienced the same strange paralysis.
Whether caused by fear or something emanating from the object, neither could say.
The craft itself descended into a nearby field.
As it landed, the reddish flames beneath it darkened, while a dome on top began glowing in ivory white.
Brilliant beams of green, yellow, and blue erupted from the dome, so intense that the officers compared it to welding arcs.
Then something even stranger happened.
A glowing white sphere, roughly the size of a basketball, appeared beside the craft and slowly traveled toward a nearby mouth.
It circled the mountain, disappeared behind it, and then emerged again.
At almost the same moment, the officers noticed four large, dark figures beside the landed object,
slowly walking around it as though conducting an inspection of some sort.
The glowing sphere eventually returned.
The figures disappeared.
And moments later, the craft rose vertically before accelerating away at tremendous.
away at tremendous speed. The encounter apparently left traces beyond the officer's memories.
One officer's wristwatch stopped working during the incident and reportedly could never be made
to work again properly. Their superior investigated the location and learned that other residents
had heard a tremendous roaring sound at night. Whatever happened on that hillside, two trained police
officers, walked away convinced that they had witnessed something truly extraordinary,
not simply just an unidentified object in the sky, but a landed machine, strange humanoid occupants,
and would appear to be a small probe deliberately surveying the surrounding terrain.
And while this close encounter was strange, things were about to get much stranger.
On the evening of December 9, 1962, 27,
17-year-old Antonio was walking along a tree-lined avenue beside San Michel Park near Bologna, Italy.
The night was cool and clear with little traffic and few pedestrians. Around 9.30 p.m., he heard an unusual
hissing sound coming from the direction of the park. Looking through the trees, he saw something
descending toward the ground. It was a large metallic object shaped as he described it, like a deep plate with a dome on
and rotating multicolored lights around its exterior.
Frightened, Antonio stepped behind a tree and watched.
The object settled on the other side of the fence, partially obscured by bushes.
He estimated it to be approximately 30 feet across, metallic and silver gold in appearance.
A doorway slowly opened beneath the dome, revealing a brightly illuminated interior,
Then two silhouettes appeared.
A small staircase extended toward the ground, and the figures descended together, moving side by side in an oddly synchronized manner.
These beings were approximately five feet tall and strikingly human in appearance.
Although Antonio remembered their skin as being a dark olive, their eyes unusually reflective, and their clothing as tight-fitting yellow.
jumpsuits with dark belts.
One of the figures looked directly toward Antonio and spoke several words in an unfamiliar language.
Now, Antonio knew some Italian, French, English, and Russian, but what he heard resembled none of them.
The figure then extended an arm and pointed toward him.
Antonio had the distinct impression that he was being asked a question, although he had no idea what was being said and he remained silent.
The figures exchanged a glance, turned together, climbed back inside, and closed the door.
The object rose into the air and accelerated away at a sharp angle, disappearing out of sight.
The entire encounter lasted only minutes.
Antonio was so shaken that he reportedly could not sleep the entire night.
Roughly a week and a half later, he returned to the site and noticed impressions in the ground.
where he believed the object had landed,
although they were never formally investigated.
For more than two decades,
Antonio largely kept the story to himself,
but the memory remained,
transforming what had begun as an ordinary nighttime walk
into an experience he would never completely leave behind.
One dark evening in January of 1973,
a group of witnesses were traveling along the south coast of New South Wales,
Australia, when passenger Elizabeth C noticed a bright light ahead.
At first it resembled the headlights of an approaching truck, but the light moved strangely,
drifting away from the roadway before suddenly reversing direction and approaching the car.
Within moments, the witnesses realized that whatever they were looking at was not another vehicle.
The object came remarkably close and began to pace their car. They disdeme.
described a large saucer-shaped craft with rounded edges, a dome on top, a smaller dome beneath,
and approximately 10 illuminated port holes around its perimeter.
Beneath them ran thin bands of red light, while a powerful searchlight-like beam rotated from the underside.
One passenger, an army officer, had an especially clear view.
Looking through the illuminated windows, he claimed he could see humanoid figures,
inside. For approximately 15 miles, the object followed them along the highway. Then, near the
turnoff, the object seemed to vanish. Looking upward, the witnesses suddenly spotted it at a much
higher altitude, although none of them had actually seen it make the ascent. It began tracing a broad
arc before heading toward the ocean and disappearing. Later that morning, another member of the group
was camping at Shoalhaven heads. When he and other campers reportedly watched helicopters
pursue a fiery object over the water, three witnesses eventually reported the encounter to military
authorities. According to their testimony, personnel at the naval base took the incident
very seriously, conducted extensive interviews, and allegedly told them that other witnesses
had reported the object and that something had been detected on one.
radar. Australian UFO researcher Bill Chalker later interviewed Elizabeth and the army officer,
and he would describe them as compelling witnesses, although the Navy reportedly denied knowledge of the
event when he sought official confirmation. Whatever followed that car through the Australian
night, the witnesses believed they had seen more than just lights, and at least one of them
was convinced there were occupants looking back. At approximately 5.30 in the morning on July 10th,
1976, electrician Miguel Ruiz Sanpiero, waited in his car for his co-worker, Margarita,
in Escalante, Spain. The two had carpooled to work together for years. Margarita approached
the vehicle and reached for the door. When something down the road caught her attention, walking
Awkwardly through the early morning darkness was an enormous humanoid figure.
Both Margarita and Miguel saw this. Using nearby buildings for scale, they estimated
that the figure stood more than nine feet tall. Its body was exceedingly thin with shiny
areas around the chest and legs, and it moved with slow, rigid steps. Its stride was enormous,
Yet its torso did not sway naturally from side to side.
Margarita compared its movements to an astronaut walking on the moon,
and even wondered whether the figure was somehow floating slightly above the road.
They never clearly saw its face.
Instead, they described a bright conical or basin-shaped helmet
with a strange three-pointed metallic structure
and something resembling a colored cloth hanging toward the shoulders.
The being appeared to wear loose, shiny, brown clothing ending around the knees.
At this point, they didn't dare approach it.
They remained almost completely still afraid that any sudden movement might attract its attention.
The figure, however, appeared completely indifferent to them and continued slowly down the road.
Then, just before reaching a bend, it vanished.
The witnesses were adamant that they had not simply watched it turn.
the corner. One moment it was there, the next, it was gone. Later on, their co-workers
reportedly noticed how shaken they were when they arrived at work, and Margarita was ridiculed
after telling others what she had witnessed. Investigators later learned that the town's mayor
had apparently seen the strange figure as well and reported flashes of light coming from its chest.
A few days earlier, another resident had observed an intense red light sitting,
in a nearby meadow, whether these events were connected is impossible to truly know.
But together, they transformed the image of the, quote, clumsy robot into one of the stranger
humanoid reports to emerge from 1970 Spain. Just before midnight on July 11, 1978, a 44-year-old
woman identified only as Amalia was watching television in her home in a densely populated area
of Sao, Brazil. Her three sons were asleep. Suddenly, several things happened almost simultaneously.
A loud thud sounded outside. Her small dog began racing frantically through the house,
barking toward the door. The television screen started flickering. Then came a strange,
mechanical, buzzing sound. Still holding the peel from an orange she'd been eating,
Amalia walked toward the front door and opened it. Standing on either side of the entrance were two
small humanoid figures. Behind them in the middle of her yard rested in oval-shaped craft
approximately nine feet wide and about six feet high, supported by four conical landing legs.
It was dull silver with a brighter band around its circumference, oval windows around its
upper section and a flashing yellowish light.
Through an open doorway, Amalia could see strange illuminated equipment inside.
The beings stood only around three to three and a half feet tall.
They wore gray full body suits, metallic helmets, belts carrying cylindrical instruments,
and would appear to be face coverings that left only the upper portion of their faces visible.
Beneath them, Amalia described tightly drawn yellowish skin,
deep-set tilted eyes and flat, noted eyes, and flat, notes.
noses. Most bizarrely, she believed neither figure was actually touching the ground. They seemed
to hover several inches above it. One gestured reassuringly toward her, while the other
floated across the yard, looked up and down the street, and then returned. At this point,
Amalia discovered she could no longer move. She felt an intense coldness sweep across her body,
even as she began sweating. One of the beings reached forward.
and gently padded her on the head.
The other produced strange devices,
one casting an unusual green light across the ground,
and another device releasing a vapor around the figures.
Eventually, they motioned for Amalia to come toward the craft.
But unable to move, she remained where she was.
This is when the beings appeared to wave, goodbye,
and then they returned to the object and departed.
Through one of its windows, Amalia briefly glimpsed a third figure inside.
Once the craft ascended and eventually disappeared, her movement returned.
But she was pale, freezing cold, breathing rapidly, and initially unable to speak.
Her daughter reportedly believed that she was suffering a heart attack.
Eventually, her speech would come back, and everything seemed to be normal.
But for a woman who claimed she had never believed in UFO,
before this. Opening the front door that night had apparently changed everything and left her
with far more questions than she'd ever have answers. Hello, this is Ryan Sprague, the host of Summer

At approximately 4 in the morning on April 26, 1979,
47-year-old farmer Mamerto Dio awoke at his home in Talasei in the Philippines,
and noticed an intense light flooding the interior.
Outside, he saw a glowing,
saucer-shaped object hovering over his fields. Rather than retreating, Mamerto followed it,
convinced that it appeared to be searching for somewhere to land. Then he noticed two more objects.
All three were moving slowly over the farmland.
Mamerto hid in a ditch behind stalks of sugarcane and watched as the objects landed along a
nearby road. Suddenly, doors opened, and two figures emerged from each craft, six beings
altogether, descending small ladders and gathering together in a circle. Mimerto estimated that most
stood around six feet tall. They appeared human enough that his first thought was that they might be
Americans, but their movements were unusually slow and deliberate, as though simply walking
required considerable effort. They wore gray, rubber-like suits, brown belts, black gloves,
tall boots, helmets, and would appear to be thin white backpacks. For about 15 minutes,
Mamerto remained hidden and watched. The beings gestured toward one another and carried white
rectangular objects that he wondered might be weapons. He heard no voices and virtually no sound
from the craft. Eventually, the figures returned to the respective objects. One by one, the three machines
rose from the ground, quickly darted up into the sky and disappeared. Mamerta was so frightened that when he
finally tried to stand, his legs were shaking beneath him. At daylight, he returned to the location
and discovered depressions that he believed had been left by landing gear, along with what appeared
to be footprints. Police and military authorities later investigated the report.
And one military officer stated that while he could not confirm Memerto's extraordinary story,
he found no obvious reason to believe the farmer was lying. Even more intriguing,
the encounter occurred during a major wave of UFO reports across the Philippines.
Just one week earlier, hundreds of people had reportedly witnessed a huge object
over Talasei, releasing dozens of smaller, multi-colored disks.
Authorities acknowledged being concerned by the sheer volume of sightings.
Against that backdrop, Mamerto's lonely vigil in the sugar cane
becomes part of something much larger, a period when, according to the source account,
incredible objects seem to be appearing across the region with remarkable frequency.
In the fall of 1989, a woman living near Florida's Apalachicola National Forest had recently developed an interest in UFOs.
She checked several books out in her local library and began reading about the phenomenon.
Not long afterward, she awoke one night with the unmistakable feeling that something was wrong.
A red beam of light swept past her bedroom like a searchlight.
Looking outside, she became convinced that an unidentified,
identified object was hovering near her home.
It seemed that the thing she'd been interested in, UFOs,
could now be taking an interest in her.
Her first instinct was to run.
She retreated across the bedroom and crouched against the wall,
believing that whatever was outside would remain outside.
Then, a small, glowing sphere came directly through the window.
It flew toward the ceiling and seemed to transform
into a dome-shaped framework, approximately
five feet across. Beneath it, tiny sparkling lights began accumulating in the air. Within seconds,
those points of light began to take shape. Standing before her was an enormous humanoid figure,
at least eight to nine feet tall, completely covered in brownish tan material tied around the neck,
waist, wrists, and ankles. She could make out broad shoulders and a thick body, but no recognizable
facial features. Then a thought seemed to enter her mind. The being was going to reveal itself.
Immediately afterward, everything went black. It wasn't so much losing consciousness in the conventional
sense. Instead, the room, the figure, and the world around her simply seemed to disappear.
Her next memory was of getting up off the floor. Reality appeared to switch back on,
and with it came an inexplicable sense of calm.
She climbed into bed, telling herself she would ask the neighbors about the UFO the following morning,
but she never did.
Even stranger, she claimed that the memory of the entire event, it just disappeared,
until approximately two years later, when seeing a UFO program on television triggered the memory.
Despite the terror she initially experienced, she eventually came to regard the encounter as benevolent,
describing it as the most remarkable event of her life, and something she would never willingly erase.
At approximately 10 o'clock on the night of March 9, 2009, two witnesses were driving near Hamar, Norway,
when they began hearing a low-frequency humming sound.
A vibration followed, growing steadily stronger until they could physically feel it moving through their bodies.
Then, an extraordinarily bright white light appeared directly ahead of them.
As the glare diminished, they could make out a structured object hovering only a short distance above the roadway.
It appeared to have a roughly triangular or rounded base beneath a transparent dome.
Inside were two humanoid figures sitting beside one another.
Incredibly, rather than turning away, the witnesses drove closer, eventually approaching within only a couple of
This is when they could make out the figures.
They had extremely large, dark eyes and seemed to be moving or communicated in quick, choppy motions.
One appeared to have something resembling a steering wheel in front of it.
The witnesses remembered the occupants staring directly into their eyes.
A gaze they initially interpreted as cold, piercing, and possibly even malicious.
But, without warning, the object just disappeared.
When the witnesses finally arrived home, they discovered that it was approximately four in the morning, suggesting that several hours were unaccounted for.
Later, one of them heard the same powerful buzzing outside her bedroom and felt vibrations moving through an entire body.
In the days that followed, both reportedly suffered hearing problems, difficulty focusing their vision, nosebleeds, extreme exhaustion, and abrupt emotional changes.
For one of the witnesses, the experience eventually became the beginning of something much larger.
She later publicly discussed the encounter, claimed continued communication with entities through automatic writing,
and would write a book titled Do Ur-Jec, or You Are Me.
What she had initially interpreted as terrifying gradually became, in her mind,
something benevolent and spiritually transformative.
Whatever the underlying cause of the encounter, the most undeniable part of the story may be its aftermath.
A few hours on a dark Norwegian road became a dividing line in her life,
separating the person she had been from the person she believed she became afterward,
making this truly a case of a transformative experience.
One evening in March 1995, a 32-year-old husband and father,
named Raymond was driving his Honda Civic home from work along a rural road near Kerry, Illinois.
Forest bordered both sides of the roadway with a gravel pit beyond the trees.
As Raymond's headlights swept ahead, he noticed something emerging from the woods,
approximately 40 feet away. At first he thought it was a large dog, but then it stood upright.
His interpretation changed immediately. Perhaps he thought there had been an automobile
wheel accident. Maybe this was an injured person wandering out of the woods in need of help.
He slowed and even began rolling down his window, and the figure began to walk toward his car.
It was roughly as tall as the vehicle itself, with extremely thin arms and legs, pale white
skin, a disproportionately large head, enormous dark oval eyes, and only two small openings
where a nose should have been. At approximately five feet away, Raymond finally abeyronably a
in the idea that he was looking at an injured human being.
The hair on the back of his neck stood up.
He pulled forward and continued down the road,
still half expecting to find a crashed vehicle
or some mundane explanation around the next bend.
But that explanation never came,
and he drove directly home completely dumbfounded.
The following day, Raymond returned and photographed the location.
Because he regularly traveled that same road,
He began carrying a camera with him in case the figure ever returned.
But it never did.
For nearly a decade, he spoke about the encounter only with his wife, children, and maybe a handful of friends.
Some of whom reportedly mocked him.
Yet, years later, two things remained perfectly vivid for Raymond, the being's face and the bizarre way that it walked.
Perhaps most telling, he never claimed to have immediately recognized an alien.
His mind moved through a progression of ordinary explanations, a dog, injured person, an accident victim,
until the thing standing in his headlights no longer seemed to fit any of these.
And I left Raymond truly wondering what he'd seen on the road that night in Illinois.
Shortly before one in the morning, on April 26, 2009,
a man named Frederick in Bot Noyanar, Germany, noticed a white,
point of light approaching from the south. As it drew closer, the light rapidly increased in size.
Then a square-shaped beam suddenly illuminated the darkness, revealing that what was approaching
did not resemble any conventional aircraft. The object was long, in rectangular, with stacked
structures rising from its upper surface. From the highest section came the strange square beam,
sweeping in different directions. Three smaller lights, green,
White and red were all visible, details that might ordinarily suggest an airplane,
but the lower portion of the craft was divided into distinct green, orange, and blue sections.
Most bizarre were nine enormous rectangular windows running along its side.
Behind those windows stood humanoid figures.
Frederick counted six of them visible from head to toe,
standing upright inside the object as it passed only around 100 feet away.
The scene reminded him of people standing on the upper deck of a modern ship.
He ran to another window in his home and watched the strange vehicle continue northward,
moving slowly and producing only a quiet jet-like sound before eventually just disappearing toward the horizon.
Only two hours later, the witness filed a report with UFO researchers, suggesting that the experience had made an immediate impression on him.
Unfortunately, Frederick later declined additional interviews, leaving an
investigators with a lot of unanswered questions about the object's exact dimensions and appearance.
Researchers considered whether he might simply have observed an aircraft, particularly because of the
red, green, and white lights, but they struggled to reconcile that possibility with its
apparent proximity, unusual shape, relative silence, enormous windows, and most importantly,
the six human-like silhouettes that Frederick insisted he had clearly seen standing inside.
And just like many of these cases, this extremely close encounter in Germany remains unexplained.
So we have 10 encounters, 10 very different stories spread across more than half a century and different continents.
Police officers on a hillside in France, a lone pedestrian in Italy, travelers pursued along an Australian highway,
a towering figure walking through a Spanish town, small beings standing at a woman's
front door in Brazil, six mysterious visitors gathering beside landed craft in the Philippines,
and a figure seemingly materializing inside a bedroom in Florida. And don't forget the humanoid
staring through a transparent dome in Norway, or a pale being stepping out from the woods in Illinois.
And last but certainly not least, six silhouettes standing behind the window of a strange object
drifting through the German night. There is no single piece of evidence here that can tell us a
exactly what these people encountered. Some cases contain multiple witnesses and reported physical
effects. Others survive almost entirely through witness testimony. Some of the cases were investigated
quickly, while others weren't reported until decades later, and the entities themselves
are anything but consistent. Tall, short, human, decidedly inhuman, physical and almost
ethereal, sometimes frightening and sometimes indifferent. Yet beneath the
those differences are recurring motifs. You got the strange lights, the humming sounds, paralysis,
altered perceptions, missing time, electromagnetic disturbances, unusual movements, and above all,
the profound effect these experience had on the people who reported them. Maybe these stories
describe visitors from somewhere beyond our world, but maybe they point to it something
even stranger than that. And that uncertainty is precisely what keeps us returning to these accounts.
Because behind every strange light or bizarre being is a human left trying to reconcile an
extraordinary moment with the ordinary world waiting for them afterward. And sometimes the greatest
mystery isn't simply what may be visiting us from somewhere in the skies. It's what happens to
us when, for one fleeting moment, we believe we have finally seen who or what is looking back.
