How we doing, everyone? Welcome back to Subpar with Colt Nost and Drew Stoltz. And the Solheim Cup is in the book, Sleeze. Team Europe, once again, takes down Team USA. We're having a tough go of it in these team events lately. Walker Cup, Ryder Cup, now Solheim Cup. Hopefully not the President's Cup. They got all through.

It was a good time for the President's Cup right now. Hopefully. If we lose that one, too, we got to do some inward looking at that point. But yeah, I got Center Stage. It's really like, you know, that in the Irish Open. the only thing going on. Tough time for anything, by the way. Even, like, the U.S. Open tennis, which I was into.

By the way, I do, like, the Alcarat shot, like, all these matches leading up. I'd lock in a good bit during, like, major championship. But you throw it on the opening weekend of the NFL, competing with that. It's hard. Like, it's tough to get eyeballs on it. But which might have been a good thing if you're an American. But, yeah, we go down again. We had that sick comeback, you know, the night before.

Jennifer Cup show. Shout out to her, by the way, a little 120 feet of puts on the last two. to get the high point, tie it up, and then dirt nap the final day. Yeah, it's just kind of rinse, repeat for these team events right now against Europe. They got us. Yeah, and then obviously one of the stories was Angela Stanford bringing a couple cases of beer on the bus, which reportedly was for the caddies now as what they're saying. But bringing some beers on the bus on Saturday after Cup Cho's incredible finish there

to make it 8-8 going into the finals. And then obviously the United States loses. And that led to Europe to go ahead and say they drink on. Saturdays, we drink on Sundays. And we drink on Monday through Fridays also. We do a little drinking. But yeah, I thought it was for the caddies. I didn't think it was that big of a thing.

I don't think they were celebrating, like, being, you know, let's pop some bottles here because we're tied. It's like going into the fourth quarter of a football game. But gave them a little bit of fuel, not that they needed it. But, yeah, we got some work to do on this thing. I don't know if we need a task force or what's going on. But like I said, good time for a President's Cup because we need, we could use a team dub right about now.

Sure. Yeah, and also congratulations, as you mentioned, Shane Lowry, went in the Irish Open by 11, just boat racing a really good field. They included Patrick Reed, Joaquin Neiman, Rory McElroy, among others. But he's now won the Irish Open as an amateur and a professional. That's pretty sick. He's got an unreal track record playing at home, picked up a major championship over there. He goes, dude, winning by 11.

Like, this wasn't some slapstick field. Like, there was good players over there. Rory, maybe he's not in the best form. But like we talk about all the time, by the way, that's a big difference. It's like, Rory won't even get brought up. how he played. Does Scotty have any of those like throwaways? We're just like, oh, dude, don't put any stock into that. Panic when he finishes 12th. Yeah, he finishes 11th and they're like, all right, it's over.

But, dude, that was a joke. Watching just, I only caught mostly highlights of that, like, his putting. It was just, I mean, you got to putt. You got to do everything, really, to win by 11. But, um, Joaquin Neiman, I think, locked up his DP World Tour card for next year. Should get him all the stars. And then Patrick Reed just continuing, I mean, he's, he's tourbound. And what, he's going to play BMD. this coming week, and then he'll be able to get, you can get sponsors invites in the fall, right? Yeah, so August 25th was the last day.

Was the, the suspension. He won the year's suspension. So he's good to go now, but obviously with the BMW over in Wentworth, that's their flagship event on the DP World Tour. He's number one on that points list. I'm going to play that, obviously, and then I expect to see him play a few times

on the PJ tour this fall. As much as he gets dragged, and a lot of it's very well deserved, like he's been quiet in terms of controversy for a while. Went to live last. when he left live, he didn't make a big fuss about it, just went straight to the DEPI World Tour, took his medicine, took his suspension,

went over there, started playing great golf right away, cruise through, continuing to play well. It'll be nice to have him back on the PGA chores. As weird as that is to say, like, I mean, like, what you said, when all those guys left, like, we kind of lost a lot of the characters. We lost some villains, for sure, but like just the people that make you feel something.

People hate Patrick Reed, love Patrick Green, whatever it is. Like, we lost those guys, and they'll be back. But he's been tip of the cap to him. He's been quiet on the controversy front for a long time. Yeah, it's been great. I'm excited to see Patrick Reed get back. But you mentioned the Irish Open one to slap dick field.

Let me tell you about a slap dick field when I just played it. Look at a little event called the Heist. The shit we play in. Yes, this is what we're talking about. I'll tell you about some slapies. Yeah. So I play this awesome. The Heist.

What a great name. Such a great name. Rock Creek Cattle Company up in Montana. Group of guys, a bunch of Texans, Texarkana guys, Louisiana guys have been putting this golf event together. They've done it several times. I guess they took a couple years off, but they put it back together, took it up to Rock Creek Cattle Company in Montana, which is just absolutely gorgeous, phenomenal place. 44 dudes had matches every day. The first two days, you played team of four, just one best ball, and you played a Nassau

against every single team. So you had 11 bets going on. Team of four only one best ball, huh? Yeah, but no strokes. So you don't need depth, you just need a dog. No strokes. They try to make it handicap-wise, even. as it possibly can, but you have a NASCAR with every single team. So there's a lot of action going on. And then the last day, they set up, if you got a hate match or anything, you want to get out there. You can call out someone, do a little Calcutta.

Like that. Had a mentalist at the party. Yeah. The night before? Oh, my God. Yeah. I know that's your thing. We need to get one on the show.

This guy, his name was Gerard from New York City. He was sick. Did some weird shit? What is he did? Give me the best trick he did. Well, the fact that he wrote a letter. to our host, Carrie, a week before, FedExed it to him and said, do not open it until I get there.

So it arrived. He brings it with him to the event. Was it like written in ink? Oh, yeah, like something? It was written. And he basically, Carrie opens up this letter and reads it to the crowd. And it basically describes the room perfectly that we're in, described certain events that had happened throughout the week,

said exactly what the person that was going to be reading the letter was wearing. And, I mean, Carrie, Carrie standing right next to me. He goes, I changed at the last second before I came over here. Like, what the hell happened? It was wild. I mean, he had cigarettes floating. He had wedding rings disappearing.

One, that was really funny. He just randomly selected. You can make wedding rings disappear? Yeah, that's pretty sick. How does he do it? Gerard. No, I'm playing. Love you, Marissa.

But what? He just singled out one guy. And he's like, think of your deepest, darkest secret. And the guy's like, Oh, God. I don't know. I'm, I give too much time and money to charity. He's like, I'm not going to say it out loud.

I'm not going to say it. But just think about it. And he goes, just give me like a clue word we could use for this. And the guy just said, golf. And he's like, all right, come here. He walks over. He writes something on a piece of paper. And he goes, that it.

And the guy's like, holy shit. Yeah, that's that. I don't know what the secret was. But it was obviously right. And those guys, they do some weird shit, man. It's, it's impressive. But it was so much fun up there. Shout out to the Patterson's and everyone at Rock Creek.

place, the staff, everyone was phenomenal. You got to come up there next time. It was fun. I know. Sad to miss this one. I mentioned the last day. You got this, basically, if you don't want to call anybody out, you got any rivals with anybody. And then people just, they bet on you the night before.

And so they get it all even. And there's a lot of action out there on it. And the last match was myself and Ricky Barnes against our man, Patrick Stolpey. Sunshine. And Greg Flan. Shout out Sunshine. Yeah, Sean Sunshine's the man. He's a hell of a player, too, by the way.

Greg Flanning a new member at Wishbrock, who's also a hell of a player. But we were the four best, so they put us against each other, had the most amount of money, bet on our match, and they teed us off an hour behind the last group, thinking like everyone would finish, come out, we had a drink cart, and everybody would watch. And the problem is we play a lot faster than all these other slap dicks, as you said earlier. We caught them on the 8th T, but we still had everyone out there at the last. It was a hard. Yeah.

So we still had everyone out there, the last couple of holes. All came down to 18. We were one up, one to play, par five, and Stolpey hit it to like 20 feet. Didn't even have to put it. My partner hit a poor second shot. I had a poor wedge and then missed the 25-footer to possibly win the match. And then theirs was good. It was over.

They had two puts from 20 feet to win the hole in tie. That's what Sunshine does. It was a good jick player for a long time. Also, great caddy was on our bag of four ball. Just one. The most positive, the most positive human being on the earth. He's exactly what you would want. The guy, we hit horrible shots.

Dude, it's fine. Be fine over there. With your short game, you'll be in the way. Yeah, you're right, Sunshine. You are right. He just won the Wyoming. Open. Yeah, he's good.

Yeah. It was beautiful golf slum. You got to come next year, but it is so much fun. I mean, it's just. You drive around on ATVs and stuff, right? Oh, yeah. And it's like, you're in the middle of nowhere. You shoot skeet and all that, right?

It's like an outdoors club, not like a country club. You're in the middle of nowhere. I mean, we played golf all day, gambling and cocktailing at night. I mean, obviously, football was. going on. It was a lot of fun. Hey, uh, Gerard, while I have your attention. Yeah. Do you like, I bet you give me some winners? Do you say Denver covers, uh, with the two and a half? Yeah, you got to get off the field this day and age. But tough start, whatever. Texas, Ohio State, that was sick. That was. That was. We had some good one, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan bounced back, and then this coming week. Probably the game, if you could watch one game, the entire college football season, I would probably argue.

LSU going back to Oxford. Ole Miss is all Lane Kiffin's presser today talking about. You see this? No pressure on us, dude. Players don't have any pressure. No one, like,

they can just get to go out and play. Everybody's going to hate me. It's all me. But like, look, we won seven games last year, meaning LSU. Like, we suck.

We're supposed to, he's like, look at Ole Miss, dude. They got two Heismund candidates, you know, returning. They got the best backfield in football.

They want 13 games. Like, everything's crazy. Basically, like, look at how good of a program I left you and look at this piece of shoot and I inherited when clearly everyone knows. Like,

you're just sat in the table. but it's going to be beautiful. I hope it's a, I want it to be close. But God, it's going to be, I mean, I don't know what kind of like security measures they're going to have during that because that, some hurt feelings down there in Oxford. It's going to be wild.

Bounty Club member guests, the following week. Come home for a couple of days. Leave to go to Scotland for the Bridges Cup. and come home from Scotland to Virginia, member of guests with my brother. Four straight weeks, dude, on tour right now. Your golf game's either going to be really good or really shitty, and I know how your liver's going to be.

It's going to be, we're going to need some recovery time when we get back there. You're going to be hurting. That's a session. I hadn't played six, I busted them off on Thursday. Played golf host of the Grand Canyon golf team on Saturday. That was fun. Just hitting, I mean, we talk about it all the time,

but, like, the distances are just sickening. I'll give you one, five. upper par five five 80 uh you know like when it's bouncy and stuff like i had three wood up there i can get ish you know home is around but there's no role right now ball hits plugs there's this uh kid on the team we hit like one two drivers the whole day three iron driving iron that's a three iron off the tea smash yeah hit it on like i was like dude if you're not hit it on par five like you got some serious driver stress but he hit it later on i was like why are you not pulling it out they also in their defense had never played there before and he was

leading the qualifier. So it's like just don't with one round left. Get it to the house. Just don't do anything stupid. It's three iron out there about 14 yards behind my driver, which was sad because I actually hit it three, it probably went 300 yards. I had like 275, 280 in. He pulls, he hits five wood to a back right pin to like 10 feet and rolls it in Briegel.

I smashed three wood up there like just a little bit. I hit pretty good. Just a little bit off of the green chipped it up there. I was like three iron five wood. Damn. On that hole. So that was fun. got my ass kicked, but yeah, dusting them off,

and now we really go. Yeah, Nashville. Can't wait. It's going to be a blast heading out to Bounty Club again. Remember guests. I got my man, Brennan Morrow, coming in town. You got Marsecoe. Jonathan Marsecoe, shout out.

He's making his third appearance at the President's Cup. Here's Christiane Bazaed. All right. Joining us today, we have PJ Tour member and three-time winner on the European Tour, currently getting set to make his third appearance for the international team at the upcoming President's Cup. His name gets butchered by golf fans every single week. But his boys call him

S-Bez, Christiane Bazaid-No, joins us. How'd I do on that, C-Bez? Pretty good. It's the best of it in America, I think. I'll take that. I've heard it 17 different ways. I'll be honest. Whenever I'm on the broadcast and it goes to my hole and it's you, I get so freaking

nervous to say your name every single time. Like, dear God, just don't butcher this thing. Yeah, I guess butcher it every week, so it's fine. That's awesome. Yeah. Congratulations on making another President's Cup team. What was it like when Captain Ogilvy gave you the call? Were you expecting it?

I mean, I don't want to say yes, but I mean, I had a strange year on the golf course. Like, I was driving it pretty bad this year. So, but all my other stats on my game, that's been the best it's been since I've been since I've been on the PJ Tour in 21. so I kind of hope for a pick because I know my game is not far off except I wasn't driving it well the whole year but I've been working really hard in the last five weeks and changed quite a bit of things about swing

to get my driver back to where it was and where it's supposed to be so yeah when I got that call I was really relief, but yeah, I really hoped that was going to get that call. Yeah, and it makes sense, like, kind of when you look, I mean, you got four rookies on the team. You have experience. You want that. You also are one of the only guys, you and Siwu, I believe, are the only guys that have winning records in the President's Cup in your previous two.

Like, what's been, you've played really good golf in the matches that you've gotten in in those two Presidents' Cups. Like, what's been the seekers? There's something about, like, team golf or, you? you know, the President's Cup in general that gets you going? Because you've been, like, one of the bright, shining stars of the international side. Yeah, I mean, in my previous two, I don't really get as much game time as I hoped for. But, yeah, I mean, I won both my single matches.

I won, won forces a match. I lost a football match in Canada. So, I mean, yeah, just team. Team golf in all is something different for us. You know, we don't get to play it a lot. And every two years when we get to play in the business cup for the international team under the shield now since 2019, we've been playing under the shield.

Yeah, it means a lot, and it means a lot to just step up your game for everyone in your team because you know how badly everyone's in that international team wants to win that cup. So yeah, it's been special. Yeah, and y'all've been close, the last few. And I will say this, I went to the one at Quill Hollow, when Trevor Emelman was the captain. And I'll say this, I went to the after party.

I was actually in y'all's room having a good time with y'all. Y'all damn sure enjoy it. I would say a lot more than the Americans do. Yeah, I mean, we hear that every year. I mean, we obviously know on paper, we're not a favor. but we put up a fight the whole week and in the last in the last two Prisons Cup that I've been a part of it's been a lot closer than what the score says especially in Canada we lost a lot of our games on 17 or 18 or we'll tee off on

18 and we'll be all-square and we lose the 18th old to lose the match you know so a lot a lot of our games went down to the stretch in Canada and yeah I mean it could have gone both ways fast, especially in Canada. In Charlotte, it was a little bit more over one-way traffic, but in Canada we put up a great fighter that Friday doing, wiping their five-nob in the four rooms, the first time I've ever been done. And then, yeah, like I said, it's been a lot closer, and hopefully we can go one better this Yeah, absolutely.

I remember in Canada, a bunch of those came down to like 17, 18. I was like a puck goes either way. This thing could look totally different. But you mentioned how bad you guys want to win one for the shield. It has been one-sided, but closer than it may have appeared on paper. Like, does it take any pressure off of you guys, though? Do you feel like more of a sense of freedom to go out there and play, knowing that, like, realistically, outside of your team room,

like most people expect the U.S. to win this? Yeah, I'll say so. I think definitely most of the pressure has got to be on the US team. They've

strong steam on paper. They've only lost the cup once in I don't know how many years even, but so you have to look at their team the whole world expect them to win.

So if they don't win it's going to be a shock. So we literally must just go out. and do our best. We've got 12 great players in our team. Our camaraderie and our team is the base has been in my two previous cups that have been a part of. We are more prepared than ever.

So, yeah, it's literally just go out there now and do it. Yeah, it's going to be awesome. Can't wait for it to start up next week. But for you, Chris John, I mean, you've played all around the world. you've won many times as a professional. For you, when you're teeing it up for the international squad, on the first tee, are those nerves any different than, say, like, at a major championship?

Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's a lot different. Just playing for 12 other guys or 11 other guys, playing for the shield, playing for the captain, the vice captains, just for me, just adds a little bit more pressure because you're going to get out there and do you. your best and go out there and put a point on the board and when you're matches and play well and stuff so all that just just adds a little little bit of that pressure um where i feel like

the major like a major is some pressure but it's all in the self like if you go out there and don't play well it's it's all in yourself you just go to rank you go to the next week and you sort it out and you go move on. But in the President's Cup, you really want to have a game that week and you really want to put some points on the board for the team. Yep, team golf, different beats for sure. And I was going back and looking, nobody that you've paired with in previous President's Cup are on the team this year.

So my question was going to be, A, how do you guys pick who you pair with on the international side? Like, does Ogilvy just tell you and he's got stats guys? And he's like, hey, Christian, this is who you pair? with you're going out or do you have some say in that and also is there anyone on the team this year that you feel like you would play well with or that you're lobbying to play with yeah the captains and vice captains have have gone through it with with our stats team and they've come up with a lot of combinations that can work in in in both formats you know um bedable and four subs you know and

this, I mean, my game, I've got a pretty, pretty steady game. I'm not the longest of the T, but I'm normally pretty straight. I'm a great pattern. George is pretty good, so I feel like my game can work with most of the guys in the team. Yeah, but it's not up to me. I mean, I'd love to play with whoever that put me. I mean, there's people more qualified than me

doing that mass and working it out who's going to be best for me in my game. So, yeah, I just trust the stats guy and the captains to get that right, and I'll just go out and do my best. Well, Christian, I think the rest of the world is starting to realize like what a personality, Siwu Kim is. I know y'all have known it for a while, being in the team room with him,

but can you just maybe share a favorite Siwu story from over the years at the President's Cup? He's a beaut, man. Everyone in the team loves Siwu. We call him Wu in the team. He's a great guy. He's funny. I once, he told us a story when he won the players

championship on the Sunday on the back nine it took two Advil P.m. and a Red Bull. Yeah. On the speedball. On the back line of the place championship being a little tight for the lead, you know. Yeah, I mean, we have to always make sure we have Red Bull in our team cabin, in the bus at the hotel. I mean y'all have a hell of a time yeah it's just that's crazy what's it like with I mean Adam Scott's been about what is this is it was 13 previously or this is it 12 or 13 of these things yeah what's it like being in a team room with him I mean he's been a part of it for so long still looking for that first win is there like a big part of like you know as much as you want to win it for yourselves and your captain and stuff like that. I was like, dude, it would be sweet to get Adam across the finish line in one of these things. Yeah, of course. I mean, Adam has been more involved in this, in this team with this

business cup that has ever been involved. We were Madonna last week and he actually flew back from Switzerland for a couple of days just to practice with a team and he flew back that Saturday morning, you know, so just to see that. that level of commitment from a guy that's played in 12, 12 with these is amazing. Yeah, I mean, it just says a lot about these commitment and how much he wants to win this car. So, yeah. I mean, that's impressive right there. I mean, granted, he does have his own plane.

But that makes it a little easier. Yeah. But just to jump over from Switzerland for a couple of days. I wasn't on the house. That is, wow. What can you tell us about this golf course? because your captain, Jeff Ogilvy, and his design company went in and redid Medina, and I heard it is spectacular.

Yeah, I mean, obviously never played the previous one with all the trees, but they removed a lot of the trees. What I've heard from, I spoke to Adam about it, and he's obviously played a bunch of times in the past, and he said they removed a lot of the trees that, that was close to the fairways. So it's a lot wider of the T now. And they've also also rerout the last six holes in the golf course, I believe.

We're also going to play it in a different routing. Riding, we're going to start on a number five is going to be our first hole for the week. but they've re-routed like the from 12 to 18 is apparently completely different but the Colvin's in great shape

we were there last week for a couple of days spending time on the team and playing it twice they've had a lot of rain over the summer so I played relatively soft so hopefully they can get it to firm up over the next week and yeah but it's going to be a

spectacular week. Any idea how long they're going to play? I mean, that thing can play really long. Like when Justin Thomas won, there wasn't like 70, 800 yards. It was like, how long are they going to set it up at? Do you know? I don't think for match play, they're going to set it up for that long. There's obviously going to be a piece of holes where it's going to be long.

But I also think for match fit needs to be fun. You also want to see birdies and eagles and stuff being made, you know. So there's a lot of tee boxes on every hole. There's probably six or seven teapoxes on every hole, so they can really, really move the two boxes quite a bit. But, yeah, we're not sure how long they're going to play it and where they're going to put the T's and stuff like that. But, yeah, if you play it all the way over the back,

it's quite a long golf course. Yeah, absolutely. It's going to be a hell of a week. up there outside of Chicago, that place will be rocking. But Christian, I mean, look, I've walked with you several times since doing TV. You're obviously a hell of a player, but I feel like a lot of people don't know a whole lot about you. What is something like you like to do outside of golf? I know you're obviously a husband, a father, but what are some things other than golf that you like to do?

I like to hunt. I go back once a year to start after a sugar hunt for a couple of weeks. that's probably one of my favorite hobbies to do. Over the last couple of years, I haven't been actually, because we've got to keep down another one on the way, so it's getting harder to travel back home. It's a long flight back home now with the family and stuff, so I haven't done it in a couple years.

but yeah, I just, I mean, I'm a very late back guy. Like to spend time with my friends, just sitting around the campfire, telling stories, spending time with my wife, my son. But, yeah, I mean, I'm not a very outgoing person, I'd say. I mean, I like to keep my circle small and just do the stuff I like. what's the best stuff to hunt in South Africa your favorite I should say

mostly deer I mean we we yeah I mean we do Red Buck is part of the antelope family I only hunt things that I can eat

so I'll never shoot like an elephant or a giraffe or a lion and things like that I won't shoot because you can't need it.

But, but anything I should or make some meat, meat of it and cook the meat and, yeah, I need the meat. So what do you have? Is it called a brie in South Africa? Is that what you're like a barbecue? All right, give me Christian's perfect

brie. Oh. What do we have? Lamb chops. We make something South Africa, it's called the bribe. like Broiki. So it's a sandwich that you make on an open fire and you put a little bit of mayonnaise in it, some onion, some cheese, tomato. And you put butter outside and you roast it like on the open fire until the cheese melts and stuff. And then you serve it like that. Really, really good. And then it's just a potato salad, a green salad,

maybe a piece of rabbi steak. Yeah. You got me at the lamb chops. That could be the, uh, the champions dinner. You went out of gusto. 100%. You know what I mean? Give the boys a treat.

You got, I was looking at your, your son is getting into golf too, right? Is that correct? Yeah. Yeah, he's got a nice little follow through. I saw him on Instagram and his action looks nice. Yeah. Yeah. he likes to pose the polo through.

That's his favorite part of the swing is the polo through. He knows where the cameras are. Yeah, exactly. I love that. Well, before we let you go, we're going to get into the E9. We're going to ask you just a few fun ones here. And one that I learned, I had no idea that you're big into karaoke, apparently. Oh, yeah.

Give me the go-to karaoke song. Only after a couple of drinks. Yes. Well, one of my favorite party songs is Don't Stop Believing. Okay, yeah. If that comes on, that's all, I'll be in front of the line. I like that. Don't stop believing it.

Yeah. You get good crowd participation in that one too. They'll help you with that one. Which is the last time you did karaoke? Probably the previous, previous Christmas cut. On the bus ride back to the hotel, I was the lead singer in the bus. Oh, yeah.

Yeah, so I was on the mic. The bus was back with players and wives and caddies and captains and stuff. And, yeah, we got the beers out and got the music going and I was Leettinga. Who else on the team will. isn't scared of the microphone for karaoke. Like, In New Hughes, he was in team

previous time, he wasn't scared of it. I think in our team now, I can definitely get Nico Ittabria going. Oh, yeah. He's a fun guy. So, yeah, we'll see on Sunday. After tournament, I'm sure I'll be leading again, so I'll let you guys now.

Love that. That's the kind of stuff when you see right there. I know you're a big Chelsea FC fan, but I've been told like you'll stay up at weird hours of the night, like just to catch, even if there's a tournament the next day, like just to catch the game. What's the like latest you've stayed up to watch a Chelsea game? I mean, I haven't really followed much related, to be honest.

I think so busy with a kid. kept over the last couple of years. So I actually barrage my sleep now. I'm not going to step too late because he wakes up at 6.30, 7 o'clock in the morning and ready to go.

So if I get to bed too late, then it's not going to be fun to get woken up at 6 o'clock in the morning. So I haven't really watched a lot of the Chelsea games. I followed a lot of the World Cup

this year it was really cool went to a couple of games as well so yeah that's awesome that's awesome yeah those kids kind of run the show yeah they don't care about your fandom a whole lot I can tell you mine don't at least

all right next one so we obviously talking about your name and I'm sure the starters at golf tournaments panic when you get to the T what is the worst first T announcement you've ever had with your name oh it must have been in Japan

I've been playing the trend for since I was a junior so I must have been there like 15 times in my career and every time I get there I have to like spell it out for them like five times

before it's too often they like like repeat it it repeat it and as soon as it it's got to announce my name And it's just like, just complete the wrong. Just let me tee off. Yeah, exactly.

Yeah. It's a tough one. My hope, Christian, I was telling this cold earlier, is just for this, just for the sake of, like, having a broadcaster's nightmare, I want them to pair you and Rio Hissasune together at the president's. And just listen to him, just stumble over the entire day. Bring that up to Captain Jeff. He might want to do that. Yeah. Yeah.

I mean, even, even, even, even, even, even, like, I don't know if I said right, but like, yeah, I mean, he's, that's funny. That'd be a, that'd be a nightmare. Trust me. But you get the winners check there, you're runner up. What's the protocol on that? As a pro, you get the check. Do you get something for the amateur? as a thank you for all the money? I mean, I actually got a lot of hate on social media about it. I mean, it's not, it's not, really, it's my, that's hard to believe. It was my, my decision to, like, that's the rules.

And a lot of the people on social media, like, I did me for accepting. getting the winner's check or the winner's check. So, yeah, I mean, like I do, I would have loved to win the tournament as well, but, I mean, he's, he obviously got his card, he's got his two-e exemption, and he obviously got a lot of sponsorship deals out of that. So I'm sure he made a lot more than that's not what I got.

Yeah. I can't believe. That's how it works. But it's just so ridiculous that you'd get hate for that. It's like, I finish second. He's an amateur. When you enter as an amateur, you know you're not getting money. What are you going to do?

He's supposed to give him the check? Take about 600 grand back. This isn't right. Yeah, he'll be all right. But that's a good friend to have to. You give him a little tip of the cap when you see the kid. All right. Last one for me, Christian.

Okay. Here's my question. Who am I offending by changing my shoes in the parking lot? Like, I've never gotten a solid answer on this one. I need some help. Yeah, that's actually a very good question. I am not offended by it one bit at all. It's a big no-no, though.

A lot of places, it is a big no-no. That's what your locker room is there for. I don't have a problem with it, but if it's a club rule, just do it. Just follow the rules. Yeah, it's an easy thing to do. I have zero issue with it, too. And pretty much, whenever I'm a guest, especially somewhere nice, like if you're talking top 100, I do all the things that I don't do at my

shirts tucked in. I just, you know, hats off at all times, just all the stuff. I don't want any, like, reason for them to say, oh, you know, didn't like having that guy out there. Take extra good care of the valet if they allow it, the tipping, caddies, all that sort of stuff. But, yeah. Such a gentleman. And a lot of clubs, I'm just like, I'm kicking me these things off right here, too. I'm not going up to the locker.

That's a good question, though. Yeah. All right, next one. Hey, Colton, Drew, love the podcast. Just wanted to share a fun story with you. A bunch of us typically go down to Florida every year in October for a golf trip. It's usually 12 to 20 of us. After golf one day, we were getting amongst it at one of our favorite spots.

It was close to Halloween, so we were trying to figure out something fun to do for the next day, and one of us said we should dress up in costumes for the round of golf. Well, it happened to be a party city across the street, so we strolled over, looking through the costumes. For some reason, a few of us rented a Crown Victoria for our transportation that week, so we thought it would be kind of funny to dress up as cops. So three of us purchased a Lieutenant Dangle copy, If you've ever seen Reno 911, you know what I'm talking about. And one of us purchased a convict costume.

The next morning at golf, we had the convict run through the clubhouse, pro shop, and restaurant, while three of us in Lieutenant Dangle costumes chased him, pretended to arrest him and took him back to the Crown Vic. The odd thing is I don't even remember the reaction of the restaurant patrons of the pro shop because I was laughing so hard I was crying. Three of us proceeded to play the first hole in our Lieutenant Vangel costumes. The shorts were polyester and absolute nuthuggers. I was sweating my ass off.

The funniest part is that the starter actually thought we were cops, asking us where we were from and explaining that his son was also a police officer. After we finished the first hole, I took the costume off in the woods, put on rogue golf clothes, and finished the round of golf. It was so much fun. You guys are the best. I look forward to show every week.

I'm pretty sure if that golf course, you can change your shoes in the parking lot, it sounds like if they're allowing you to tee off in a cop uniform, you can change your shoes in the parking lot.

I like that they just went through with the gag. They could do the thing, run through the restaurant. And also, let's tee off with this on before we change. Let's not change out of it now, but go tee off. It feels like something that you would do, like, that's like a losing bed on a fantasy. you know, fantasy football.

Like, loser has to do this. So the funny thing is I was actually at a golf course when something like this happened for real. Okay, I was in Dallas. I'm not going to mention the name of the golf course, but I'm out there with Mr. Lee Trevino, spending the day. And we're on the putting green,

and all of a sudden this young kid is just sprinting. And then about five seconds later, here's two cops sprinting after him. And Lee, being the, you know, character that he is, puts his arms up against the, like, cart. and he's like, he's eventually just waiting on them. They're like, too much paperwork, Mr. Trevino, and they just kept chasing the kid.

Really? No clue what happened. No shit. Yeah. No clue. Dead serious. I'm not resisting. Yeah.

I'm not resisting. I mean, as they were running, just, that's too much paperwork, Mr. Trevino. Oh, that's good. That's good. That's good. All right. Last one. Hey, Colt.

Hey, Slee's long time listener here, big fan of the podcast. Quick story for you. I live out here in Scottsdale. Probably three or four months ago I was over at Sunridge Canyon up in Fountain Hills. I believe the 13th or 14th Hill, it's a little downhill par three has water on it. I believe just hit a pitching wedge of nine iron, chunked it straight in the water, went down to the drop zone, chunked one about five feet and was just pretty pissed off. I then proceeded to throw my 563 wedge pretty aggressively up the hill towards our golf carts.

about, you know, a half second later I look up, and there happened to be a marshal up next to our golf carts. And my 563 wedges headed directly towards this marshal, and it hit him pretty good in the arm. So I immediately ran up the hill. He is hurt pretty badly. He was extremely pissed off at me. Didn't have a whole lot to say. I apologized many, many times and was just extremely embanky. He then drove off super quickly, didn't say a word to me.

And I was, yeah, it was a horrible, horrible situation. But yeah, that is, that's my story. Really love the podcast. Appreciate it, boys. God. What an all-time Marshall just takes a 56 degree from 50 yards, breaks his arm, and just like, don't you, don't you do that again? I'm going to go monitor the pace of play now.
