Starting point is 00:02:01 What's up, everybody? Welcome to Tuesday's show. Morning, studio. Morning. All right, let's go around the room and check in with everybody. Up first, he has dyslexia, which is why he reads things out of order. but that didn't stop him from winning, employee of the quarter.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Yay! Guys, I think I know why I'm losing my hair. I mean, maybe, possibly. Genetics? No, I just heard of this. Have you guys heard of COVID hair? COVID hair loss? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:02:25 You've heard of this? I don't think it's you, though. Yeah, you were bald before COVID, man. Well, even your, but your dad is bald. Correct. And that old adage of it comes from your mom is not accurate anymore. That's old school thinking. But my mom's dad was bald.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Right, but it's usually a combination of genetics, like everything. else. I don't think it's COVID hair, buddy. Do you think you'd have a full head of hair if it wasn't for COVID? My friend told me that he found out that he was losing his hair after he got COVID. But you were already, I don't know, three quarters of the way in? Yeah, I know, but it couldn't have helped. Like, it got worse. You know what? I'll happily give that to you.
Starting point is 00:02:57 That's crazy that COVID makes you lose your hair now. Well, for some people, here's the thing about COVID. It was what was called a novel virus, meaning there wasn't enough research on it to know exactly what it was doing and how it was affecting people. I know people who had it four or five times couldn't be healthier, didn't affect them at all. I know people that got it once, still destroying their life because of long COVID and diseases that it kind of awakened in the body, like woke up viruses that were lying dormant. Still novelish, but I do not think, Eddie, all respect to you that it made you any more bald than you already were. Well, I got COVID back when I went to Florida, remember?
Starting point is 00:03:36 But that was like just a few years ago. Yeah, yeah. You weren't, he didn't have a lush head. That was probably at the start of me losing my hair. No, I don't think it was to start, buddy. Moving on, he finally earned the dream come true opportunity to drive a Lambo. And now he says he's too busy and can't even go. It's lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:03:55 I told you guys, my New Year's resolutions is to say something. Be more vocal. Give my opinion more. And I had a bad experience at the grocery store. I went and it said closed at 10. I got there. Why do you always go to places that closed five minutes early? I feel like you're looking.
Starting point is 00:04:10 for them. No, I got done with my soccer game. My tradition is I score a goal. I get chocolate milk on the way home. About that. 950 rolled up. I felt that I get chocolate chip cookies after a comedy show. So I'm not letting him. This is only after he scores, though. Who cares? Right. It's not after a win. It's like the score. So I rolled up. Doors lock.
Starting point is 00:04:28 950. And the dude's letting people out. Won't let me in. It says we're closed. So I called the manager. Okay, here you. You have audio at this. Yeah, I called the manager. Okay. Thank you for calling. This is a, okay.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I help you. Oh, yeah, man, I'm just wondering. Are you guys trying to go out of business? I'm sorry. Well, yeah, I mean, I came there the other night. You know, I was after my soccer game, and it says you guys close at 10 o'clock, and I walked up to the doors at 9.50, and the doors were already locked. So I'm just wondering, do you not want in business?
Starting point is 00:04:59 Are you trying to go out of business? Sir, I'm incredibly sorry for the misunderstanding. You're right. We do close at 10 o'clock, and I'm not sure why the doors were locked. Yeah, because I have a tradition. that if I score in my soccer game, I reward myself with a chocolate milk. And I scored my soccer game, my co-ed rec soccer game, went to the store, got there in plenty of time, and I went up, and the guy had locked the doors.
Starting point is 00:05:23 He was letting people out, close the doors and lock it. And I said, hey, man, I just, you go, sorry, man, no can do. But I thought you closed at 10. Did you buy any chance with your name? No, I, no, I don't know their name. I mean, my understanding is that if you close at 10, you close at 10. You don't close at 950. I should still be able to go in and get my name.
Starting point is 00:05:41 my groceries. I mean, what if I needed milk? I'm not sure why that happened. Yeah, what if my baby was going to die in it? Because it didn't have a banana. And that was the last thing I needed was a banana. And, you know, you close. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Wow. You get to my baby's dying. You don't have a baby. Two, you gave him the chocolate milk destroy. I don't know, six times. And three, someone's being, somebody can get fired for this. Somebody's going to get in trouble. But he didn't have their name, thank goodness.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Trust me, they'll be able to track it. Yeah, whoever was there at 950. He didn't say the exact day. He just said the other day, the other night. But he's going to go check. SPN and see lunchboxes scoring goal. Okay, cool. And know what day that was.
Starting point is 00:06:16 But I mean... What did you accomplish, do you think, by calling this? Hopefully the employee is reprimanded and has to stay there until 10 o'clock. What the employee did say there until 10 it feels like? And I'm not saying they did right. But what if there's not enough employees to keep it open safely? Well, then schedule them. Then change your hours.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Why were people in there at 950? What is it? Was it a chain? Yeah, big grocery store. Can't change the hours of that. Chain rules. If there aren't enough employees to manage everything and make sure people aren't stealing,
Starting point is 00:06:50 then it's probably, I don't know. I just think that call is probably, it's hilarious. Don't get me wrong. But hopefully nobody got in trouble for that. Why? The guy is, I mean, they're obviously there, so why would you not just leave it open for an extra 10 minutes?
Starting point is 00:07:03 What if his baby was dying and he had to close? Oh, he needed a banana. Then he would just left. Yeah, okay. All right, well, I'm glad you're holding up to your resolution. Speaking up? Speaking up more. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I didn't get my chocolate milk, though. I know, and you deserve that. I did. You scored a goal. I didn't score just one. Oh, we're going to get two chocolate milks? No, I just give one either way, but I scored four. Four goals.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Did they have a goalie? You could have OD on chocolate milk. I'm glad you didn't get in. That was legit. All right. She received birthday flowers from Trucker Joe. She says she appreciates the gesture, but if it's a date, no. Amy.
Starting point is 00:07:38 So my daughter got some glass in her foot. was taking a shower and this glass bottle fell off her ledge and she couldn't really see it. She had soap and her eyes and then she ended up stepping on it and she got it in multiple places in her foot and I'm thinking, okay, we're just going to have to go to emergency care. Like I want to make. What was it that bad? Yeah. One of them, the cut looked a little bit deep and there was a glass still stuck in it.
Starting point is 00:07:59 And I thought, I just read an article the other day about how more and more doctors are using AI to help them. And I know that doctors are incredibly smart and they're using their school, but they're also just using AI. to a company as a tool, right? So I thought, well, as a parent, I'm just going to use AI as a tool real quick just to save us a trip just in case. So when you say AI was like an app on your phone? Well, I just, yeah, no, I just put on my computer
Starting point is 00:08:22 pulled up like chat GPT or whatever. And I typed in how to remove glass from foot safely. So, yeah, I went step my step and did everything it said. And I was like, wow, this worked. Because I would have never known to go get a needle. Like I got tweezers. A needle. A needle.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Oh, like a needle for like sewing or something. thing. Yeah, a sewing needle. And so I sterilized them in some rubbing alcohol because that's what it told me to do. I was like, cool, cool. I cleaned her foot and some warm water and soap. Amputate. And my hands. No, but then you take the needle and where the glass was stuck in the skin, you sort of like use the needle to poke open the skin to create an opening so the glass will come out. I highly recommend people seek medical care if they need to. However, that without, I mean, I'm sure Google could have told me that too, but AI just put it step by step by step. exactly what I needed to do and I followed it step by step and it worked.
Starting point is 00:09:14 I used chat GBT to get water out of my ear because I had water in my ears. I can tell you why in just a second, but it had been both ears and I always heard just took your nose and I was blowing hard and I felt like it's going to pop my ear so I stopped. And it said take your hand and make like a like a put on your ear like a cup and move it up and down a little bit and let it get suction on it and then do it three times pop pop pop because it doesn't hurt your ear. And I'm not kidding. It goes, it goes in the water. It came. What? Is it good? Wow. It does say you can do the nose thing first, but don't do it so hard. Second was the cup. Did it tell you to move your head sideways hard? It gave me other ones too.
Starting point is 00:09:52 It was like listening to some hard rock and just hit me. All right, next up, right go. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He was the first on the show to use AI because he's a one step ahead kind of guy. Bobby bumps. Thank you very much. So I hate to come in. It is my birthday, so I'm a birthday. Happy birthday, dude. a little bit. I did save a life. What? Your life card? Exactly how I saved a life. I talked about water.
Starting point is 00:10:13 I was swimming. I got in the pool at my house, and I have a little minor leg injury, so I'm trying not to work out on my legs, so I'll swim some laps. And Stanley can't go near the pool. He's a bulldog. He'll die. Eller's never jumped in the pool before, even though I figured she can swim, we're not sure. But I'm swimming back and forth, and then she's running on the outside chasing me both ways.
Starting point is 00:10:32 I look up and she's in the water. So she doesn't, I wrap up, grab her, take her off the side save her life Thank you But was she gonna be okay? No no No because I let her go for a second And she was freaking the crap out
Starting point is 00:10:44 Because she'd never been to water like that before Freaking out like doggy paddling? No like Ah Like backstroke La So I have a save now Okay you gotta save
Starting point is 00:10:53 Wow Congratulations And then I thought Do I want to like take this moment Because she just either jumped in her fell in Do I want to take the moment to teach her how to swim Then she may be in the pool all the time And drown
Starting point is 00:11:03 Or do I want to be like Just get out and now you're traumatized you may never get back in. So I just chose to put her out. Yeah. But I did a wrap her up and take her. She was so scared. She was like clawing on my chest,
Starting point is 00:11:11 but I still saved a life, even though it was hurting. Dang, dude. You're a hero. At it. Wow. Wow. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Thank you very much. All right, let's go. Thank you guys. I did save a life. My wife saw it happen too. I bet she's proud of you. Yeah. She was so turned on.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Are you sure? No, she wasn't in all, actually. She was like, I can't live she jumped in like that. Let's open up the mailbag. You send in email and we read it all the air. It's something. Oh, Bobby Bones. I started dating this woman a couple months ago.
Starting point is 00:11:42 She's amazing, beautiful, kind, smart, successful. We hit it off right away. She checks all the boxes and then some. I can see myself spending my life with her. But I know better to get my hopes up too soon in a relationship. The problem is she's already mapping out our future together. Telling her to slow down on the wedding plans is probably not going to be very good for a current relationship. She's getting too serious.
Starting point is 00:12:04 That's her only flaw. Should I just roll with it and let the cards fall? or risk it and risk upsetting her. Signed too serious too soon. Question more, question more, question more. This is what I'd say, buddy. If you found you a good one, want a real good one,
Starting point is 00:12:19 and her only flaw is planning more time together, like the future, let her plan. If she's not forcing the issue of like, we need to get married in two months, or if she's just, let her plan, because what's going to happen is you're going to be an idiot and you're going to be, I don't know, and she's going to be like, what do you mean?
Starting point is 00:12:35 You don't feel like I'm out of here. don't mess it up let her plan that doesn't mean it has to happen but also if everything that you're saying she's beautiful kind smart all the boxes she checks do you know how hard it is to find that
Starting point is 00:12:49 so I would recommend you just chill till the next episode oh thank you because you got a good one it's hard to find a good one let her plan you're lucky she's planning you're lucky she's having thoughts of the future
Starting point is 00:13:04 with you and everybody works differently. Oh, me, I can imagine. Like, you find the perfect one and all of a sudden because she's planning out, she has a wedding,
Starting point is 00:13:16 a Pinterest board, you run away. Yeah. Let's just hope she doesn't find that he sent this email. I know, don't be a loser. Delete all this.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Yeah, just go back. Amy, any thought? I just feel, this is the kind of crap that I would have done. Yeah, I mean, I think just pay attention to your feelings.
Starting point is 00:13:33 I think it's okay to go with the flow, but you just need to be aware because you don't want to, like, go with the flow so much, to where then you're like, oh shoot, yeah, I really don't want this. Don't let her paint you in a corner of things you have to do,
Starting point is 00:13:43 but if she's planning the future, like vaguely, like, okay, let her plan. That's awesome. You're not, you're not a prize. Be honest. I'm talking to myself now. Just getting into a weird place. All right, thank you. Close the mailbag.
Starting point is 00:13:56 We got your email. I'm the closed Bobby's mail bag. You ever walked out of a movie in a theater after you paid money for it? I was reading this poll. About 50% of people have done it. I've done it once. It was for the Incredible Hulk before it got all marvely and got pretty good. Like I think Eric Bannon was the Incredible Hulk.
Starting point is 00:14:20 It was terrible. And so I was like, I'm done. I think maybe I walked out a weekend at Bernice 2, but I was way younger then. I don't remember clearly so I can't commit to that. Ever walked out of a movie in a theater, Amy? Yes. I can't remember what it was, but you liked it. Oh, it was the movie about District.
Starting point is 00:14:37 District 9. 69 or something. I don't think that's what it's called. What? What was it, guys? Because I walked out and you're like, oh, I love that movie. I loved it. What was it called, Mike?
Starting point is 00:14:49 District 9. It was like a kind of forward, sciencey robot type movie. You love that stuff. I did love that. We're watching a show. We're on the final episode called Three Body Problem on Netflix. Anybody watched any of it? No.
Starting point is 00:15:03 If one episode left. It was like their biggest show. It just came out. But it's futurey kind of. It's set today, but there's also. and it almost lost me and then it got really good again but for me to walk away from something like that
Starting point is 00:15:18 it's got to be really tough but I almost walked out of the house I'm so back I'm back now I'm back now Lunchbox ever walked out of a theater? No I almost walked out of multiplicity but I was with chicks so they wanted to stay I never saw it
Starting point is 00:15:32 It was terrible anybody seen it No that's old huh Yeah it was old but I mean it was that or kingpin And we were supposed to go see kingpin That's funny And my boys bailed because the chicks picked multiplicity. And they're like... They must have like chicks, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:15:45 It's like, guys. It's you with all the chicks. Eddie? Yeah, I can't get myself to do that. Like, I'm too cheap. Yeah, you paid the money. And I can't do it. Like, what was the...
Starting point is 00:15:53 I was at Thor, I think, and they started the whole movie over after half of it was going already. Oh, that would be miserable. And so a lot of people walked out and I'm like, I can't, I can't walk out. It'd be a waste of money. They can't fast forward. No. I don't know. But I would have thought, this is how I would have thought in my head.
Starting point is 00:16:07 I've already paid for it regardless. so I don't want to pay for it and be miserable. So then I'm not getting my money back. Yeah. A third of the way through. So I've already paid for it. Bad investment of my money and time. So I'm going to pay for it and then force myself to sit through it longer.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Yeah. I do that with food too. Like, oh, this food's not very good, but I pay for it. I got to eat it. Keep eating it. Yep. 30 minutes, if I can't see a movie getting any better, it's not worth my time to stay there. I'm out.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Especially with movies getting longer, too. The movie's getting longer. It's terrible. In the last year, what'd you walk out of? Amsterdam, it was like a murder mystery with a bunch of actors like Christian Bale. So boring. One of the worst movies I've ever seen in theaters, I'm like, I'm out. Okay, what else?
Starting point is 00:16:57 I walked out of a movie called Babylon. It was about like Hollywood in the 1920s, but like the first scene is an elephant pooping on a bunch of people. And then they go to this party, just a bunch of naked dudes taking out. I'm out of this. Lunch would recommend that. Yeah, let's watch. Go check that out. And then?
Starting point is 00:17:11 There's a movie called Straes. It was like a movie where there's like real-life dogs, but it's like Will Ferrell and Jimmy Fox voicing them, but they're just like cursing the whole time. Do you ever listen to these interviews with major stars, Mike, and they admit they know they're doing a really bad movie in the middle of it? Yeah, sometimes they're like, yeah, it's a paycheck. It's becoming more frequent now that we'll talk about like,
Starting point is 00:17:31 yeah, I took that just to make money off of it. Like, can you imagine, like you dedicate, and then you're in the middle of a movie you thought was going to be great, and you're like, man, this sucks. and then you just got to keep doing the better or do promo for a movie that's terrible like Dakota Johnson for Madam Webb it just came out she's like I had no idea if the movie
Starting point is 00:17:47 was good or not I was in part of a blue screen the entire time it felt so weird and then she drugged the movie after it did terribly so she did the movie it didn't do well and then she made fun of the movie yeah it's Sidney Sweeney too she was in that movie she's like yeah not doing a superhero movie ever again Was that Marvel? It was the Sony side of Marvel so there's a good there's a good DC Marvel
Starting point is 00:18:08 That's all like the Avengers stuff And then there's the Sony side You're telling me there's a side of Marvel That's even bad? Yeah All the ones that just can't get the box office Like Morbius They're a different side of marble
Starting point is 00:18:18 I've never heard of Morval What about the Hispanic dude Who was like the Blue Beetle? Yeah He's like the Hispanic superhero How'd that dude? Who was that? I didn't do so well
Starting point is 00:18:27 At the time the strike was going on So they didn't promote it a whole lot It was still a good movie But DC yeah Kind of does the historically bad movies What's good so far this year Any good movies? So far
Starting point is 00:18:37 I mean you just watched the new Godzilla I think you would like that one just because it's big, dumb, fun action. So far, there hasn't been a great movie. Is it a slow time, like January to April? Yeah, everything's ramping up right now as we get to summer blockbuster stuff. I'm waiting on the new Deadpool movie. Oh, that'd be fun because Wolverine's in it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:53 All right. Check out movie mics, movie podcast. And if the movie sucks, just leave. You've already spent the money. Why spend the money and then also feel terrible? It's tough, man. We already paid for that. No, I know.
Starting point is 00:19:03 You get your money back. Can you get your money back? If the movie's bag, can you leave and get me money back? If the movie's bad, can you leave and get a refund? I think in the first 30 minutes, they'll give you a refund, depending on the theater. So set your timer for 29 minutes, you run out. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Tell me something good. So a woman came into the bank, and luckily the bank teller she got that day was Marlena. And Marlena's dad had been scammed before, so she was, you know, empathetic towards people that might be, you know, getting scammed. She was like, well, wait a second. Come back to my office. Let's talk. Why do you want this money out? woman's like, oh, well, my boyfriend, here's a picture of him.
Starting point is 00:19:41 He's overseas. I've never met him. Oh, no. And so she's like, okay, she did a quick Google reverse image situation, found out that is definitely not this woman's boyfriend. And so she took the woman, like she went with her, escorted her to the police station so they could file a police report and do the whole thing. I don't know for the woman, though, because good, she saved her.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Big, but if you're the woman, you're like, this is my boyfriend. She's like, no, you're being scammed. You're just embarrassed. It's not good. And you're thankful, but that sucks. Yeah, so it's just important to pay attention. Marlena likes that this story is out there so that others will be aware of any red flags. It may be helped more vulnerable people that might not realize they're being taken advantage of.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Do we think Morgan's guys are real? Yeah. Okay, there you go. Yeah, man. You do too, right? Yeah, I know, but I never thought about that. What if... Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Well, I've met him five to me. Yeah, she's hung out with him. Yeah, he's real. I know. has you. He's always gone. No, no, I'm still Team Morgan. Okay, that's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:20:44 That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'll say it. Yep, that's me. Clipper Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,

We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of The Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
Starting point is 00:22:22 I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe.
Starting point is 00:22:40 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Ego Wode. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:23:18 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, The cat just hang in there.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. So I'll play you a character, cartoon, or animated, whatever movie might call it. You just tell me who the celebrity is playing the character. For example, this is Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story. Starting point is 00:26:24 Lunchbox? Will Ferrell. Amy? Ray Romano. Eddie? Seth Rogan? Oh. Play it one more time, Ray.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Ah! You got the cat box! Oh, my. It's Seth Rogen. That's just going to laugh. Good job, good job, good job. Man. I was thinking, we're going streaking.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Next up. Snowball in the Secret Life of Pets. Who are we? We are the four. Flushed pets. Thrown away by our owners. And now we're out for revenge. It's like a club, but was biting and scratching.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Yeah, you got the stint of domestication all over you. You chose your side. And now you're going to burn. I'm in for the way. I'm in. Oh, if everybody's in, good. Amy. Kevin Hart.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Lunchbox? Kevin Hart. Eddie? Kevin Hart. Correct. Good job. Right now, the score is Eddie for Amy 3, Lunchbox 2. Dominating.
Starting point is 00:27:19 This is Gru and Minions. Now I realize that you guys You probably heard about this other villain Who stole the pyramids Apparently it's a big deal People are calling it the crime of the century And stuff like that But am I upset
Starting point is 00:27:35 No, I am not A little, but We have had a pretty good year ourselves Does Lunchbox have kids? I don't understand Yeah Yeah, but watch these movies? We have not You understand my kids are five
Starting point is 00:27:52 So these are a little older In minions I love this movie And I don't know what that is Eddie writes it down before you even play the voice He just knows who played the actor You tell me Gru, I know who it is He shouldn't be penalized for no one
Starting point is 00:28:05 No I know I'm just saying like I have no idea Okay Do we get it again? I'll give you a little bit more Now I realize that you guys You probably heard About this other villain Who stole the pyramids
Starting point is 00:28:16 Apparently it's a big deal People are calling it the crime of the Senate All right there you go Lunchbox? Will Farrell. Amy? Steve Carrell. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:28:28 Steve Carrell. Correct. Two left. By the way, I will give you a chance to go in blind in the last one, lunchbox? Thank you. To win. Thank you. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Thank you. Here we go. And number six. Go ahead. Wait, wait. I'm the war racks. Guardian of the forest. I speak for the trees.
Starting point is 00:28:47 So you're telling me, you just didn't see me magically appear out of that stump. With all the lightning and thunder and stuff. You didn't see any of that? That's the Lorax and the Lorax. I'll play one more time. Wait, wait, I'm the Lorax. Guardian of the forest. I speak for the trees.
Starting point is 00:29:03 So you're telling me, you just didn't see me magically appear out of that stump. With all the lightning and thunder and stuff. You didn't see any of that? I'm in. Oh, I'm in for the wind. What? No, Amy. Wow.
Starting point is 00:29:17 All I have in my head right now is that guy from Princess Bride. Indubly Inconceivable Whatever it says, I don't know Inconceivable Yes, whatever it is, thank you I don't know Amy
Starting point is 00:29:30 Him I don't know Lunchbox That's Danny Devedo Correct Eddie? I have Danny Devedo Yeah good job
Starting point is 00:29:38 So this is number seven List of number seven It is and there'll be no changing it Lunchbox you're going to lose But you can go in blind But if you go in blind You can't obviously play the last one But I'm assuming you want to go on blind
Starting point is 00:29:49 Yeah I'm going blind Okay. And who do you have as your answer? I am going to write down. Why don't you not say it? Just write it down. Okay. But don't react either way to when you hear the clip, okay? Okay. You done? I think I'm in for the win.
Starting point is 00:30:07 No reaction, though. None. Good or bad. Okay. This is Rocket Raccoon and Guardians of the Galaxy. Don't call me a raccoon. You know why I did it, Star Munch? I did it because I wanted to. What are we even talking about this for?
Starting point is 00:30:22 We just had a little man save us by blowing up 50 ships. Man, that's tough. Rocket raccoon. We'll do it one more time. Guardians of the Galaxy. Don't call me a raccoon. You know why I did it, Star Munch? I did it because I wanted to.
Starting point is 00:30:37 What are we even talking about this for? We just had a little man save us by blowing up 50 ships. Let's go over to Amy. What do you have? I don't know. Chris Hensworth, but he's the other guy. No. Eddie? I mean, there's no way lunchbox got that blind, so I'm going Will Farrell. Okay. Well, if he got it blind, he wins the game.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Right. Lunchbox, Rocket, Raccoon, and Guardians of the Galaxy. You didn't know that's what it was, but what answer did you write down blind? I wrote down Will Ferrell. Is it? No, it's Bradley Cooper. It's Bradley Cooper and Eddie, you are a winner. Good job. There he is. Okay, do you want the other four quickly, Eddie? Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 00:31:23 This can be your celebration lap. My victory lap. and inside out. Here you go. All right, everyone. Fresh start. We are going to have a good date, which will turn into a good week,
Starting point is 00:31:31 which will turn into a good year, which turns into a good life. Tell you what, let's make a list of all the things Riley should be happy about. No clue. Amy Polar. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Anna and Frozen? Anna, Anna? Yeah, I just wasn't looking where I was going, but I'm great. Actually, this is awkward. Not you're awkward, but just because I'm awkward. You're gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Wait, what? Is that Kristen Bell? It is. Oh, man. Yeah. Dang. Pussing boots in Shrek 2. Fear me if you dare.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Now ye ogre, pray for mercy from. That's Antonio Banderas. Correct. That's Puss and Boots. I don't do that in a room. And I wasn't risking it. If I'm 50-50, I'm going puss. Just for the record.
Starting point is 00:32:18 It's a cat, though. Yeah, yeah. Doesn't matter. If I'm 50-50, I'm going pus. Got it. Mm-hmm. And finally, a Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm Groot.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Oh, gosh. I don't know who that is. I'm Groot. Yeah, I'm Groot. No clue, but that's all he says. Guess it out. Oh, that's, yeah, yeah. Chris Hemsworth.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Ben Diesel. You're still the winner. Nice job. Nice job. A nine-year-old boy crashed into a car on the highway. He was trying to drive himself to school in his mom's car. Oh, no. He didn't tell her.
Starting point is 00:32:55 Wow. Where was mom like making lunch? The CHP said an officer spotted a sedan stopped oddly in the middle of the intersection and told the driver to move. But then the driver took off. Then there was a short chase, very erratic, came to an end of a dirt parking lot. The boy got out and it was nine. Wow. That's from sackb.com.
Starting point is 00:33:14 That's crazy. Luckily nobody died, right? Let's eliminate all that from the story. But if you see like a night, let's say you're chasing somebody. It's a car chase. And you're like, oh, Brick, we got a, he's turned, just turned left on first avenue. And it all ends. And then a nine-year-old walks out with his hands up.
Starting point is 00:33:30 A little bit of he's got to chuckle. You're probably like, give a description of the person. I can't see who's driving. He has no armpit hair. I don't know. That is well. Was there anything you did as a kid that you probably did too early? I would drive.
Starting point is 00:33:43 I would drive Arkansas Keith's truck. And I was way young. I'd learn I'd drive a standard pretty young. But mostly because we were running dogs like hunting and he would go and try to cut the dogs off. And so I'd have to get in the truck and drive. But we were always in like the woods. So it was never an issue. Anybody ever drive early?
Starting point is 00:34:02 Or I used to go to the racetrack. It used to go in at Oakland. And so you could get in as a kid but you couldn't gamble. But then I could always pay somebody to go make a $2 bet for me. Yeah. So I would do that all the time. I was basically gambling and driving. I was a little rebel.
Starting point is 00:34:15 Yeah. Crazy life. I was a little rebel. I would, I mean, I would go to bars early. You know, because my dad would just take me to the bars. And then like we lived seven miles north of Mexico. so if you are old enough to reach the bar in Mexico you can hang out at the bar and drink.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Really? Yeah. No rules. That's pretty cool. I mean, I'm not proud of that, but yeah, it's kind of how I grew up. But that's, that was the culture. You can be proud of it? No, not really.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Hey, I was gambling and driving at a young age. You have anything lunchbox? I mean, I drove, but when I wasn't supposed to, I mean, I ran out of gas in my brother's car before I had my license because I went to go see a chick. It's always. Always. I always feel like a chick is just, for whatever reason,
Starting point is 00:34:51 he just inserts chick. No, on the way home, my brother, brother was on E, and I was like, if I get gas, he'll know that I took the car. Right. And so I was like, I just got to get home. And as I'm driving home, all of a sudden it starts going, shoo-shut, and chugging. And I'm like, oh, no. And I just floor it.
Starting point is 00:35:10 And I run three red lights trying to get to the gas station, get to that last red light to take a left right there on Breaker and Mopak. And it just dies. What did you do? I got out of the car, and I'm like, oh, my God, I'm freaking out. And this lady's like, oh, here, get in. I'll drive me to the gas station. Drove me to the gas station.
Starting point is 00:35:26 And I mean, she bought me a gas can. Because I was just going to get a 32 ounce cup. Just enough so I wouldn't notice. I got, we didn't got a cup. And she goes, no, no, I think you need a gas can. Because I was like, I'm underage. Like, I have no idea. Like, I think I can just put gas in a cup.
Starting point is 00:35:42 And she buys me to gas can, drives me back to the stoplight, put gas in it and get it home. I don't know how in that 10 minutes that we were at the gas station, no cop pulled up behind the car or nothing. How old were you? 14. Did the chick stuff work out okay? Yeah, that's good. Yeah, I still talked to her.
Starting point is 00:36:00 On Facebook during the show? No, no, no, she's not really on Facebook that much. She posts pictures and videos of her kids, but she's not really chatting. Got it. This one was rushed to the hospital after she was eating pork rinds and she ate a nail. What? Like a hammer and a nail? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Or a finger net. She felt something sharp hit her throat. And so she starts throwing up, took the emergency room. There was a nail that she had swallowed in the pork rinds and pierced her. her artery. And so they thought it was a bone at first because, you know, pork, pig, bone. It's pork skin. I hear you.
Starting point is 00:36:34 But it turns out it was a nail in the pork rinds. Do you think somebody put that in there as like a, all right. I mean, it could have been an accident. I don't know. I went to a restaurant and there was a screw in my fries. This was like, yeah, a long time ago. And I think they were just open, like they had opened that week. So maybe construction and screw fell?
Starting point is 00:36:54 I don't know. No idea, man. Would you rather have a screw in your fries as you find or a band-aid in your fries you find? A screw. A screw. True. 100%. I don't want a band-aid.
Starting point is 00:37:02 All right, that's New York Post. There's a voice smell we got last night. Morning studio. Hey, Bobby. This is Alexa, Kirsten, Mama, Devin, and Lori. We're driving from Newburgh, North Carolina, and we are five and a half hours into our 10-hour drive to Nashville for the million-dollar show. Carrie! We'll see you at the show.
Starting point is 00:37:24 They're driving 10 hours. Sounds like they're either drunk or driving in a bathroom with the echo. That's awesome. Let's see if we can get them on later. I'd like to talk to them to see how the drive's going. Here is Joe. We are dying to see the picture that Eddie sent Amy in his robe. If you guys could please post that, it would make me and my girlfriend very happy.
Starting point is 00:37:45 That's personal. It's not personal, but it's weird as crap. It's very weird. You sent her. Yeah, that was for Amy. But it wasn't. Amy, did you give it to them for them to post? Yeah, I gave it to Morgan.
Starting point is 00:37:54 But if it was just for, if it was very personal, that means it was personal. Yeah. You sent her a picture of the rope she got you, but you look weird in it. No, my son took that picture. How weird did I look? Okay. All right. We have it, Morgan?
Starting point is 00:38:07 Yeah, it's up on bobby bones.com. Eddie did approve of it to go online to. I was supposed to be just between me and Amy, but okay. If there's ever anything between you and Amy, you should let us know. Because that would be odd. Right. Right. Hit the one from Michelle.
Starting point is 00:38:19 I have a morning. Corny for Amy. Why don't elephants play on computers? Because they're afraid of the mouth. Have a good day. Boom. Got us.
Starting point is 00:38:32 That sounded like a landline phone. Yeah. It looks like an audience. Wow. That sound? That's like hearing a stegosaurus walk. It went cl clink. For all you kids out there,
Starting point is 00:38:44 that's what we heard every time we got on the phone. Y'all don't even know. Wow. History lesson. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Is a promotion at work really a promotion if it doesn't come with a raise? I would say yes because you then become more valuable. So when it's time to ask for a raise, they can make the decision of, well, do I want to lose them?
Starting point is 00:39:06 But do they have more value or not? So it's a weird thing, but yes. So I'd want more money. Yeah. But I would always say accept it, prove your worth, because now you get the chance to prove your worth even more and then go on and ask for that raise. It's called a dry promotion. That's a really good way to look at it because I saw this whole article in the Wall Street Journal about how companies across the U.S. are handing out these dry promotions. Which is an opportunity to show your worth.
Starting point is 00:39:34 That's what, I mean, really, man, that's the kind of promotion I would want because it's longer term. Meaning if I go, I mean, we'll give you five bucks an hour more straight up. And then all of a sudden, I don't feel like you're giving me five bucks an hour more effort and more. I'm like, you know what, that bad promotion, we need to move on from her. Whereas if it's, I'm going to give you a couple more duties and you can prove yourself and then come and ask me for that later. I don't know. It's weird because sometimes you just need money. But longer term, I believe it's more worthy to be given a chance to prove yourself.
Starting point is 00:40:10 I feel like because it's a growing thing. I know, but that's good advice for anybody that literally, you know, this year might receive some sort of a drive promotion and they can keep that in mind. of like, hey. A dumb name, drive promotion. It's like you're not drinking while you get promoted. Yeah. Judge Judy was talking about how she works out 10 hours a week. She's 81, and she does her workouts with her 90-year-old husband.
Starting point is 00:40:32 And she says that she has a responsibility to keep the vessel in shape and looking good. They tell me they do it like four times a week. I'm be so disappointed. Like, do it. You know, we find time to do it. No, like do it. And I'm like, dang, I'm like half their age. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:47 I'm talking about talking about that. Jeez. All right. So she says if your mind is in shape and your body is not, the weaker one will eventually affect the other. So she tries to keep both of them. Both of them. I'm looking at pictures of both of them. Good for them. Like, they're old, old.
Starting point is 00:41:02 And they're just rocking. They're on a C-Doo here. So they got to be in good shape. If you're smiling on a C-Doo, you know. Is she still on TV? Yeah, it's a different kind of show she has now. I'm not sure what network it is, but yes. And she's, like, one of the highest paid.
Starting point is 00:41:14 She was forever. I think she's on like a weird network now. But she is on TV. Speaking of TV shows, I know lunchboxes always wanted to be on the prices, right? And I saw this whole thing about how a former producer there was saying that they keep a pair of sweatpants, like a blow dryer and like a curtain thing
Starting point is 00:41:34 that you can go change behind in case a contestant peas their pants. They must have had enough instances of that happening. Wow. Or they had to invest in that. Yeah, I just thought that was random and funny. And then, well, obviously, Bobby, it's your birthday today. So, uh, have birthday to me. Have birthday to you.
Starting point is 00:41:51 But you're not the only person in country music turning 44 years old. Well, let's just make it not about me then. Wow. Well, it is. Happy birthday to you, but also Kit Moore, who's 44. Did I do anything else who's, when Amy's birthday was on? No. I'd be like, let's listen to other people whose birthday it is.
Starting point is 00:42:04 No, I focused the spotlight on Amy. Oh, I thought this is fun to see who else has your birthday. No, I'd actually hate it. Okay, Chris Jansen. He's 38. Chris too. Billy Dean? We have, I did not know Billy Dean.
Starting point is 00:42:14 That's crazy. Because I have a Billy Dean car here that he gave me. But Chris and I always exchange happy birthdays. It's a race to say we can say it first. Really? Yeah. Happy birthday. I should do it right now.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Kip and I don't, though. But Billy Dean, I did not know. Do we have Billy Dean's cell phone number? Yeah, I have his number, yeah. Yeah, hand it to me. That'd be funny. Hold on. I'll text and be like, happy birthday.
Starting point is 00:42:35 And if he doesn't say it back the next day tomorrow, I'll be like, hey, man, yesterday was my birthday, too. Trying to see if you'd say it back. What about Emilu Harris? That's cool. Do you know her? I don't. Not the text, I do not. Anybody else?
Starting point is 00:42:50 So, happy birthday to all of you. Thank you very much. All right. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Stay at home, it's not been good. Sadie Cliff is a 10-year-old in Sacktown. That's also known as Sacramento, California. Yeah, we knew that. I got that. Some people don't know what's Sacktown. I didn't. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Sacktown. You would have. I mean, I would have, but thank you for clarifying. Now we spent 20 seconds talking about it. Anyway, she's a big Taylor Swift fan, and she's wearing her Taylor Swift shirt at school, and it's just after the Super Bowl. And there's another kid that's a huge 49ers fan in her class, got mad at the Taylor Swift shirt, and bop slapped her. I started bullying her for the shirt.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Yeah, bullying her because she's wearing Taylor Swift. So she goes home, complains to her mom. And mom's like, I'm going to get you in jihitsu, so you can learn how to defend yourself. And now she has started the bully proof. program and a jujitsu instructor you got it
Starting point is 00:43:50 okay a jihitsu instructor has been working with her and is sponsoring it at the school and teaching people self-defense that's cool who that's all in sacked sacktacket nice job good that's something happened to her that was unfortunate that now they've turned into a positive for many
Starting point is 00:44:07 people which is great that is what it's all about that was tell me something good a win is a win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career

Starting point is 00:45:14 on TikTok. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that, trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man.
Starting point is 00:45:42 A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by it. a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Ago Wode. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and The Big Money Play. network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo. Woo. Woo.
Starting point is 00:46:29 My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with him one day. And I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
Starting point is 00:46:52 And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.
Starting point is 00:47:17 Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. I saw where NCIS Sydney has been renewed for a second season. Yes. That's Lunchbox's favorite show. Although you haven't seen every episode yet. Or did you watch the finale? No, I watched it all. The finale was it to be continued?
Starting point is 00:47:36 We heard the second part? Yeah, we heard the second part, man. I don't even know because the show sounded terrible. It was so bad. He had to watch every episode, and you thought there was no way this would be renewed. Yeah, I thought it was over. I thought it was dead in the water. Like, they were going to put that out to pasture and be like, we made a big mistake.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Must be getting good ratings on linear television. Yeah, and then someone sent me, Lincoln, it's like this art and this news video like, oh, NCIS Sydney renewed for a second season. NCIS Sydney has been renewed for a second season. CBS has ordered a second season of the popular spin-offs, the first international edition of the NCIS franchise. It's performed, well, stateside, drawing an average of 6.5 million viewers per week over seven days, and that's not including streaming. Six million, that's a lot.
Starting point is 00:48:21 People love that show. So any chance you're just out of touch? No. There's no chance. Is that bad? It is that bad. People hate it. Well, not...
Starting point is 00:48:30 6.45 million people watch it thinking, okay, this is a train wreck. It's going to end. It's going to end. They're all hate watching it. Yeah, they hate watching it. And it just keeps you... Oh, my gosh. It is so bad.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Well, we'll spend the wheel and see if you have to watch another season. Yes. All right, let's go over to Amy and do the morning corny. The morning corny. What do you call a cow with three legs? What do you call it? Cow with three legs. Lean beef.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Lean. Because it lean. That was the morning corny. You've heard the no leg ones, right? Yeah. How with no legs? Ground beef. I like that one.
Starting point is 00:49:08 What's another one? What do you mean? You said you heard the ones. None of the one, the one. Oh. Ground beef. Okay. What do you call a guy swimming with no arms and legs?
Starting point is 00:49:17 Bob. Oh, because he's bobbing. What do you call a woman on a beach with no arms and no legs? Sandy. What do you call a guy with no arms and legs in front of the door? Matt. What do you call a guy with no arms and no legs in front of the wall? What?
Starting point is 00:49:30 Art. What do you call a woman with one leg? What? Eileen. Eileen. You say one leg longer than the other. Oh, good. That's better.
Starting point is 00:49:41 I lean. We should probably stop there, huh? Yeah, we're walking that fine line of, I don't even know how we get canceled, but we're walking that fine line. We'll do this. It's called Bobby Bone Show TMI. So it's too much information, possibly. And Amy, we're going to let you go first. What can you give us that's TMI?
Starting point is 00:50:00 Well, I started my testosterone cream. Wait, what? Why do you need more testosterone? Because I have low tea. Why do you need tea? Well, so, well, everybody has tea and eats tea. There's the whole, you rely on your hormones to do certain things. And for women, there's, you know, you can have high, low, just right.
Starting point is 00:50:21 Well, I have below low. So mine was really low. So she, you need higher testosterone? I need some. I mean. I need some. I mean, I guess I need it higher.
Starting point is 00:50:34 But it's because I'm below low. So she's like, let's just at least bump you up to like low to normal. And I now put behind my knee, I rub the cream in there. And so, and that's so I guess it has less chance of touching anybody else because that would be bad. You can't touch other words. Like she's like, yeah, you don't want to get it on your kids or if you have a... All of a sudden, her son's ripped. Right.
Starting point is 00:51:00 So it's supposed to help me with brain fog. We'll see. And then I don't know, maybe it could cause a deeper voice in hair growth. But it says two clicks. And I am like so, I like, I'm like, what if I wanted some? What if I was like, hey, let me get some of that? You want a hit on my cream? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:17 How much? Would one hit a cream do, do a deal or do you have to do it for a while? I don't know exactly when it's. It's going to. Ask your doctor. Say hypothetically. Hypothetically, let's just say. Eddie, TMI. Yeah, mine's pretty gross. Well, don't get if it's, it can't be too.
Starting point is 00:51:30 I know, but it's got to be a fine line. It's crazy because, like, I don't know if it's my pillow, my bed, my bedroom or what, but every morning when I wake up, I probably blow, I don't know. I would say like a handful of snot out of my chest and my nose. Well, it's all coming out of your nose, right? But it's like allergies probably. Oh, probably. My kids even say...
Starting point is 00:51:51 Like dander or something maybe? Who knows? But my kids say they can hear me from their bedroom. Go, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck. Yuck, yuck, yuck. All right, enough? Lunchbox. I got TMI.
Starting point is 00:52:02 I told you guys how I'd like to eat my toenails and fingernails. This is turned into just a gross out segment. No. No. That one thing I do do is when my wife trims her toenails, I'll grab one. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's gross. Why would you do that? We're moving on.
Starting point is 00:52:21 That way she's a part of me. No. That's hilarious. There's other ways. That answer's hilarious. It's all disgusting, but that answer is hilarious. Mine doesn't really have to do so much with my body. But whenever we've, the last week or so, I've had to like find this cleaning solution to clean the wall because Stanley or a bulldog would go outside and go to the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Then he likes to sit by the wall. And he leaves like streaks. Uh-uh. What? Like underwear streaks but on the wall? Yeah. We were like, what's happening on the wall? Stanley.
Starting point is 00:52:51 He doesn't know he's a dog. He doesn't know the difference. Yeah. Oh, my. Yeah. Yuck, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Morgan. So my cat likes to sit on my lap when I go to the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:53:05 I can't stop her. Shut it down. I can't stop her. We're going home. We're going home. We're going home. We're going to. It's the only time she wants to bond.
Starting point is 00:53:18 That's wild. That's wild. That's wild. Morgan, I don't know. Morgan is like, why am I single? I don't know. Oh, my God. Okay, nobody knows that and so now.
Starting point is 00:53:25 That's the winner. That's great. I mean, lunchbox is, it is. I don't know why. I don't even want to go to you. There's no way you can even like, that's like going on after Elvis. Let's try him. Okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Yeah, mine's tame compared to y'all. Y'all are crazy. My cat's allowed in the bathroom, but not on my lap when I'm using the restaurant. But you don't sit down, though. Correct. Yeah, so it's no big deal. It's not even gross. But I use women's deodorant.
Starting point is 00:53:51 So my wife, I was at a deodorant one time and tried her unscented. It was a dry idea. And it rolled on. It was awesome. And it didn't have a scent or anything. So it didn't smell dude or chick. And I found that it is actually better than guys' deodorant. Yeah, I wear that as a normal deodorant.
Starting point is 00:54:05 My wife's, your wife's deodorant. It's the greatest. Now I get my own. That's hers, though. Oh. Yeah. So that's fine. Strange.
Starting point is 00:54:12 Okay. Is your unsinted or scented? It's just the one she uses. Hers? Yeah. Her deodorants is better than mine. Let's reflect The Morgan ones
Starting point is 00:54:23 I can appreciate the vulnerability Listen I want her to bond with me And that's the only time she wants to sit with me So I don't really know what else is it too What if you just go do it while you're not using the bathroom I've tried Okay well then it's not really you she wanted to bond with Oh what if she's drawn to the scent of urine
Starting point is 00:54:38 Amy Amy Amy Okay well I don't know that we're going to do this a bit anymore TMI but we got it hey that's too much information guys It's a voicemail from Leah in Pennsylvania right here I wanted to say happy birthday to Bobby. Today, my son turned three and three years ago.
Starting point is 00:54:56 I really wanted to have him on April 2nd, so you would share a birthday. He had other plans, so he turns three today, but happy birthday to you. Have a great day. It'd be tough being born on April Fool's. I just missed it. Anything on April Fool's. Like, for example, this show has, thanks to you guys, been growing like a weed forever. and we keep waiting for it to go the opposite way.
Starting point is 00:55:22 And so far, everything's going all right. Our podcast is doing millions and millions a month. They're putting us on in new cities, but they wouldn't announce the cities that we are going on yesterday because they thought everybody would think it was an April Fool's joke. Ah, good point. Oh. So, like, we're going on in Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:55:41 We're going on in Cleveland. We're going on in all these places, but they didn't want to come out and be like, here we go because of April Fool's. Yeah. That was kind of funny. It's a hard one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:52 My dad died on April Fools. Just kidding. Bring him in. Yeah. We did. Is that true? We've been doing this for a lot. We've held this joke out forever.
Starting point is 00:56:00 No, I swear. I swear. I think he's messing with you? We did. We were all like, we so like dad to just like wake up right now and be like, JK. That would have been a good one. Like he went out that way?
Starting point is 00:56:11 Yeah. But then we were like, well, we kind of did just unplug him. Oh, did you? April Falls. That's a tough one. Bad. It's, no,
Starting point is 00:56:21 it's been a few years. And also, you have to, there has to be levity, especially if you lost both of them. She's not really laughing.
Starting point is 00:56:30 No, she's not really laughing. She's laughing. I'm laughing. I swear. And I can't laugh along too. Yeah, Bobby knows.
Starting point is 00:56:36 Yeah, it's just like, if you don't laugh, you're going to cry, but sometimes Amy laughs too, I'll tell you cries. That's where I don't.
Starting point is 00:56:41 But not in the way of, like, tears come out because you're laughing so hard. It's like a big shift. I know. I'm fine. Here is Lorraine from Maine. I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday
Starting point is 00:56:51 I share a birthday with you I'll be partying Hope all as well Enjoy the day Thanks Lorraine from Maine I bet she parties She sounds like it Lorraine goes hard
Starting point is 00:57:01 So yeah Birthday What am I doing A couple things I'm being open to It's my birthday Usually I'm not I'm kind of closed off
Starting point is 00:57:09 I'm like yeah who cares Humbug But There's one thing that's really dumb That we're doing I don't know why we're doing it Working out Yeah
Starting point is 00:57:16 Why it's your birthday take the day off. Enjoy yourself. Oh, my day is packed for work. That's what I'm saying. What are you doing? It's a Tuesday, bro. So we have, I have this.
Starting point is 00:57:28 We have some 25 whistles interview. I have therapy at one. I have an allergy shot. I got some content shoot at 2.30. At 3 o'clock, we're going to work out. But tonight, I got this really crazy box of cards, like baseball cards that I ordered, and I haven't opened them.
Starting point is 00:57:43 They came, like, last week. And there's like an invitation to, like, a secret party in them. And then in it, we're looking for a specific autograph. So in this box, there's only like 100 cards in the box. And I kind of gotten into myrbillion cards in the past couple months. Oh, don't worry, I'll be out soon. It's coming. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:03 But there are 109 different people you can get as an autograph, not sports people. And so we could open it. And it could be like Rutherford B. Hay, a president, an old president. We don't care much about it. But we have that tier one of the. people that we want. So we're looking for a sign thing from either Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Satchel Paige, Merlin-Mirondra, Mark Twain, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Franks, and Octor, George Washington, John F. Kennedy. Because there's some of the people in the box.
Starting point is 00:58:32 How cool is that? This is real? Yeah, yeah, it's real. We're going to, I think they call it breaking the box. We're going to break the box at 6 o'clock p.m. on my Instagram. We're also shooting as part of a show that I'm doing. Yeah. About, remember really? Yeah, but some of the autographs are kind of lame, but everybody's dead in the autographs, right? Yes. It's all baseball cards and there's one special one. There was even Napoleon, but somebody already got that one. Yeah, and Napoleon's up for sale now for like 20 grand.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Wow. King George was one of them? King George, the third, who George Washington left. You know, that was like his enemy. Where do you get this? I'd buy it online, but it's part of a big package of cards. So anyway, that's what we're doing. People are coming over and we're opening at 6 p.m. on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Vox.
Starting point is 00:59:11 I haven't seen any of the cards. There's even an invite to a special party. We don't even know if it's a plus one. in a city where you go in there are baseball players? I don't know. I don't know. You have no idea. That sounds like Illuminati.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Maybe. But for card collectors. Right. Interesting. Illuminity. Oh, that's a good one. That's what that is. So, like, your birthday party is your...
Starting point is 00:59:31 It's not really a birthday party. Yeah, it is. We got pizza, right, and punch and cake and stuff? I don't think so. But you're videoing it. You're shooting a show. Right. That's my point.
Starting point is 00:59:38 Whatever you want to call it. Your birthday is shooting a show. That's what my wife said. She goes, he for his birthday. He's got to work. Crazy, man. Yes. And then, you know, I do these memorabilia breaks where I get on them, pay money and try to win stuff.
Starting point is 00:59:53 We're going to do some of those breaks, like for real with, on their account. But we're going to break. Yeah, dorm dudes, dorm dudes breaks on TikTok. Oh, they're letting you in? We're going to do them. We're not making any money. Tonight? Yeah, from my studio.
Starting point is 01:00:09 So is it your memorabilia? You're giving away or there? They're driving down. So there's. And so they're going to bring you shipping in. from the break thing, they're coming to your house for your birthday? Yeah. Oh my goodness.
Starting point is 01:00:20 It's a birthday party. Birthday party. Well, you just said it wasn't a party, but that's funny. We're going to do it on dorm dudes breaks on TikTok. It's around seven. We're not making any money. It's their money. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:34 But we want to break the stuff or if people are like, we got a church die. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm obsessed. It's the greatest. Cool. So we announced we go Atlanta and Cleveland, all good. That's amazing. It is my birthday.
Starting point is 01:00:46 That's cool. Luke Brian was here yesterday. He came up and we did this Atlanta announcement. I love Luke. I've known Luke forever as far as, like, being pretty closest friends. We worked together for four years on American Idol. Luke has a lot of energy all the time. And we were doing this thing, man, he is loud.
Starting point is 01:01:04 He, like, had his arm around me. He was standing behind me. And we were announcing I was going into Atlanta. He's a big Georgia guy. My ears are still a little ringy from, you'll hear the clip here. As you can hear, this is Luke. Brian. Look, it's Bobby Bones. And Bobby is coming
Starting point is 01:01:19 to Atlanta with the show. And you're yelling at my ear. You know what? I'm a little excited. He's also coming to Atlanta. This is part of our contract. You have to promote his show. Yeah, I'm coming to the truest part. And Bobby's... Say that's a little softer on the ear. Thank you. Bobby's coming to
Starting point is 01:01:35 Atlanta. That's true. Thank you. Here's your check, dude. Here. It's a little ring in my ear still. The video's up on my ice. Oh, yeah, he's the best. He's so tan. Yeah. And if anybody ever goes, Luke, Luke Bryan like spray tans or tanning beds, they're out of their mind. He might be darker than me. Seriously.
Starting point is 01:01:51 As a white guy. And you're not white. I'm not. Some people think you are. I'm Hispanic. So that's the birthday plan. But we got to kind of keep it calm because this could be a rager. But our big raging idiot shows tomorrow night.
Starting point is 01:02:04 So I can't do anything crazy because otherwise I'll probably go. Yeah, yeah. I go nuts. Hard. You know? IHard Awards were last night. The IHart Radio Music Awards. Pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:02:13 I mean, Jelly Roll was celebrated completely. Like best pop country artist. It was awesome. Yeah. Lany Wilson won country song of the year with Heart Like a Truck. I got a Heart like a Truck. And then Ludica's hosted it real cool. I was flipping back and forth between that and Arkansas softball game. Brother and-in-law was one of the coaches.
Starting point is 01:02:32 And they beat Georgia. Like Georgia was like ranked number six in the country. Okay. This is pretty good. I was pretty pumped about that. Hey, everything's shaping up for your boy here. Hey, it's a birthday. I love it.
Starting point is 01:02:41 Can't get enough birthday. And I saw this morning you're only as old. How old does you feel? Or dress. I'm 15. So, yeah. It won't be a whole birthday deal today. However,
Starting point is 01:02:53 just wanted to acknowledge it and let you know we're going to have a rager tonight in the Illuminerti. Eliminerty. Brinks. Illuminardy. Still, I've got to talk about that birthday gift. We ran out of time there,
Starting point is 01:03:06 so I'll tell you about that in a minute. And then also with the IHeart Radio Music Awards, you can watch it on Hulu. Also forgot to mention that. just so much the festivities are crazy in here all the streamers and no there's not no last time we did that we got in trouble well you didn't do that you never did that it was them um but let's not act like you're throwing a birthday party for anybody in this room oh you're right yeah yeah yeah last time we did that and we got in trouble so that was what i don't know that's a long time ago Eddie wasn't even part of the show no i was Morgan number one kind of put all that together oh was it marked that out i think was I here yeah yeah yeah I blocked it out too. Hey, we're all like,
Starting point is 01:03:44 that surprise. It was like, take it off. Take it off. I don't think I reacted by it, take it off. What? I don't remember. No, happy birthday. No, honey birthday.
Starting point is 01:03:53 I don't either. I could see if something was a big distraction while we're doing the show. I think that's what it was. I would be like, hey, let's show with this until the show's over. We had all Bobby glasses on. We will come back. Time to get to the new.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Bobby's big. Story. A Boeing 787, Dreamliner, operated by United Airlines. I was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Chicago because of a cracked windshield. You ever see the test they do where they take frozen turkeys and shoot them into the windows when they're like in the hangar? In engines too. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:30 That's because it's like the hardest version of a bird. Yeah. So they just shoot them into those things. And they don't break. But it's probably like an iPhone. Like a little pebble hits the window just right. But that's what happened. Not the pebble, but the glass cracked.
Starting point is 01:04:47 The flight was forced to land after touching down around 1130 p.m. Reporting a cracked windshield after leaving Denver. They did not identify what led to the cracked windshield. The FAA said it will be the agency in charge of the investigation. I mean, it's a bad time for Boeing. And I don't know much about it, except that guy who was going to be the whistleblower. Yeah. Turned up, dude.
Starting point is 01:05:09 And he was like, to his family, I'm good. I'm not going to commit suicide. That's what I read. Oh, wait. I don't know this story. When did this happen? You see it? We talked about on one of the many shows that we do.
Starting point is 01:05:22 I don't know. We do like 10 podcasts or shows. We talked about this guy who, maybe this show, but you've been off your med, so you may not know. That's okay. Just refresh my memory.
Starting point is 01:05:30 Well, the problem is I don't remember exactly. I don't want to get checked by NPR. But this guy who was a Boeing whistleblower, they found him dead in his truck. And Boeing, the doors came off. Remember all this? Yeah, we talked about this. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:05:43 And so the news story was, and I have it here now finally, from Newsweek, Boeing whistleblower warned family friend, it's not suicide before death, is what he said. John Barnett, the 62-year-old Boeing whistleblower discovered dead, had previously told a family member not to believe it when authorities save is found dead. It's not a good look. The look is not good, yeah. What? Police are investigating after he was found. This had to come out there. White piece of paper that closely resembled to know.
Starting point is 01:06:13 note, self-inflicted wound. He, after retired in 2019, he accused Boeing, his employee of 32 years. I guess I'd be employer of cutting corners and using substandard parts to build planes. He claimed to have reported this to management and been ignored. Then he ends up dead, and
Starting point is 01:06:29 he had said before then, if I end up dead, I'd name me. I think this was around that time I was sick. That's got to be here. We weren't. I know, I was. I was really worried, because this is kind of a really fascinating story. We talk about a lot of stuff though, Amy. I know, but this is...
Starting point is 01:06:45 I didn't even know what show we did it on. This is a big story. A FedEx truck driver makes a delivery in the living room, meaning he drove into the house. Oh, no. You get the pedals mixed up? No, worse. In Louisiana, a FedEx driver is accused of
Starting point is 01:07:01 driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol after allegedly driving his truck into the living room of a home while people were inside of it. Fortunately, no one was injured. But police do say he was found to have an open alcoholic beverage. and then some drug stuff in his possession. It's from AZFamily.com.
Starting point is 01:07:19 Caesar's Palace, and I had never heard this term before, a slot jockey. And obviously that means somebody to play slots all the time. Hits a jackpot three times in a row and won over $660,000. A Caesar's Palace slot jockey hit three times. Lucky Player won 125 at 927 p.m. And then one another 383,000 at 1058,000 at 1058, and then not two. hours later, I want a third of 159,000. That's from Fox 5 Vegas.
Starting point is 01:07:47 There's something up there. Like three. Yeah, because usually you get up and leave after one. Can you be a slot jockey on vacation? Or is slot jockey someone? Because I would feel like people that know how to gamble or whose career is gambling, they're not playing slots because it's
Starting point is 01:08:03 machine controlled. But Ray has that guy that you pay him and he tells you which slots are hot. We almost did that. I'm so glad we didn't. What did he say, Ray? Just like that. Whenever he hits it, yes, the people do their thumbs up and they go, it's just like that. Apparently, just do it. He picks him and then you win.
Starting point is 01:08:20 No, we search his reviews. And we saw a lot of people that didn't do it just like that. Hundreds of successful videos, though. You wanted us to pay money. A lot of money. He's very, very expensive. Yeah. But a slot jockey is kind of a funny term.
Starting point is 01:08:34 It almost feels dirty. Yeah. Slot jockey. Oh, yeah. It almost feels dirty. Oh, I didn't think about that. A carjacking victim is found. thanks to an air tag in a Bible.
Starting point is 01:08:45 In Memphis, one woman saying it, this is the story saying this, amen and hallelujah. Oh, come on. For an air tag, she'd stashed in a Bible. She was three months pregnant. She was carjacked at gunpoint after a crash. Reportedly, a car crashed into the side of her Hyundai,
Starting point is 01:08:59 and a man in a mask and had a gun told her to get out, which she did. Three firefighters were nearby who witnessed it all go down. Later, but if she got out of the car, how do they find it? She already was okay, right? They just found her car. Yeah, but the Bible was in the car with the air tag. Carjacking victim found, thanks to air tag and Bible.
Starting point is 01:09:21 But I feel like if she was hit and got out, they already knew where she was. Yeah. Maybe they forgot victim's car. Maybe the headline. The headline. KDBR with that story. No one has claimed the $1 million power ball ticket from last October. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:09:39 Is they running out of time? Yeah, they don't. This ticket's long gone. Yeah, they're never going to find it. If it were 40 million, 80 million, it could be somebody getting their ducks in row, but even that's long. For one million, this ticket's gone. Somebody threw it away. They're never going to see it.
Starting point is 01:09:53 Someone out there's a millionaire doesn't even know it. Last October, they have 10 days left before it's gone. WISTV.com with that story. A $1 million lottery winner thought it was a scam. A Michigan woman said she suspected she was being scammed. When she learned she had won a $1 million mega-million's prize from the Michigan lottery. She bought a ticket and she was like, well, I just saw it because it was so big. So I played the mega millions.
Starting point is 01:10:19 And a lot of the end of the day, I was shocked when I saw a big amount pending in my account. Honestly, I thought I was a scam at first. So she must play a lot and have an account. Lunchbox. I guess maybe in some places you can buy them online. I checked my email and saw one from the lottery with the information on claiming a prize. And it was a million dollars. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:10:40 I wouldn't believe it. I'd get the money and still not believe it. I'd spend the money and still not believe it. But if you bought it, you... No, but still I'd be like, I'm against games. It's no way it's possible. That's from UPI. Is baseball America's pastime anymore?
Starting point is 01:10:52 The question. The answer is no. I mean, you can claim it is, but football has dominated baseball. Baseball's getting a little better. They're speeding it up a little bit, which is great. I grew up way more of a baseball fan,
Starting point is 01:11:03 but football is better for television, but baseball is, in my opinion, no longer America's pastime. Can you name a single baseball player, Amy? Yeah. Current one? current? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:11:14 A single. Just give me one. Okay. Current. Current. That's my point, right? No one's really big enough. Mark Grace?
Starting point is 01:11:25 Nope. My favorite player is like 55 probably or 60 now, doing broadcasting for Arizona. Yeah, current. That's hard. Give me like a first name. No, no. My point was just that you're not able. I know, but I want to think of one now.
Starting point is 01:11:37 I need to help. Okay, Chris. Tomlin. There you go. Christian singer, Chris Tomlin. I'm sure he plays baseball sometimes. Chris, Kirk, Patrick. I just said Chris, because I'm sure they're 100.
Starting point is 01:11:46 You don't even know one. You don't know one. Name one. Showy Otani. Yeah. You know him, Amy? Who? Shohei Otani.
Starting point is 01:11:57 Yeah. Mike Trout. Mike, yeah. Okay. I'm not doing name to every player. Name a football player. Current. Oh.
Starting point is 01:12:05 Patrick Mahomes. Good. Name of a basketball player, current. LeBron James. Right. The point is, it hasn't pop through pop culture enough
Starting point is 01:12:16 to even the biggest player somebody who doesn't know Yeah Now she's just showing off How many Can Amy name 10 NBA players No No
Starting point is 01:12:26 No no She's already out Current She had two No Hold on don't name anymore Don't name anymore Do they have to be alive
Starting point is 01:12:33 No I'm saying current Yeah that's it Okay can you do 10 football players Don't say anything 10 current football players No No Okay, Amy and current.
Starting point is 01:12:43 If they're retired, you lose. Go. Travis Kelsey. One. Patrick Mahomes. Two. Um, uh, Ben Rothensberger. He's retired.
Starting point is 01:12:55 That's it. What? She got to two. What? We didn't. We didn't even fire. Well, I know, but I was just going in order that they pop. Aaron Rogers.
Starting point is 01:13:04 Yeah, guys, I'm not there yet. No, you are because you lost. You were going Tom Brady next, so don't. Yeah. Yeah. Cool. I wasn't going Tom Brady because I know that he's not playing. That's the news. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Those were Bobby's big. Stories. By the way, there's a new Bobby cast up with Grace Bowers. She is awesome on guitar. She's also only 17 years old. She is a beast. It's crazy how good she is. And she has like big hair.
Starting point is 01:13:33 And like all the great guitar players now, like it's such a treat for them to have her come play. So I had her on. I guess she's only 17. But she talked about the story. of, you know, kind of being a female guitar player and dudes being jerks. The stigma of being a girl playing guitar, it happened at Americana Fest down here. And I was, like, sending up my guitar. And the sound guy comes up to me and was like, hey, you know you have to plug your guitar into the amp to get sound out of it?
Starting point is 01:14:02 I'm like, yeah, I get a lot of comments like, you're only 17. So it's, it's, there are athletes that we talk to in the sports show. we'll travel around and they're 6'11 and they feel like they're giants. And then you spend a little time with them and you go, oh yeah, they may be really great at something, but they're still kids. With her, she's so good at guitar. You feel like when you meet her, she's going to be like a 55-year-old. She's a kid.
Starting point is 01:14:27 She's just really good at guitar. It's the newest episode of the Bobbycast. Search for that wherever you listen to your podcast or on IHartRadio. A win is a win. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 01:15:58 I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit hit. by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 01:16:35 I'm Ago Wadam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live and The Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but,
Starting point is 01:17:17 If you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 01:17:47 What's Polite, Prodig? a call for returning texts on your birthday, meaning I don't have a ton, ton, but I got like 27 or 28. And then, you know, they all come in the morning, and it's very nice to people. Do I need to send a personalized or can I just copy and paste? Thanks, man.
Starting point is 01:18:04 I just hope I don't do thanks. Why don't you just eliminate the man? So that way, it's just like, thank you. Hey, thanks. That's all. Or can I be like, thank you and I need to something personal about them back. No, you can just say thanks. I mean, you can even double chat. I don't even reply to everybody. What? My birthday makes me feel guilty that I don't know everybody else's birthday.
Starting point is 01:18:23 Because I get a lot. There's only like six people. I know their birthday. But Facebook really helps with that. Like if you get on Facebook, it tells something like... I change my birthday on Facebook to see who my real friends are. I remember that. So anybody that tells me happy birthday on that date, I know they're not a real friend.
Starting point is 01:18:38 That's messed up, dude. It is messed up. I have fully agreed with that. I mean, by now some people have just added it to their calendars because not many people are always checking Facebook. So I do, do I have to respond to everybody? I will. I'm going to. I say yes.
Starting point is 01:18:51 Yeah. Okay. I do want to put on Courtney in Louisiana. Courtney, what's up? Hey, Bobby Bones. Your morning studio. Morning. First off, happy birthday.
Starting point is 01:19:05 Thank you. Tell him, tell him. Happy birthday. Thank you, kid. That's McHale. That's my little girl. Oh, yeah, nice. We wanted to see this.
Starting point is 01:19:18 It's Tuesday and your birthday. Would you play the Tuesday song? Yeah, I mean, we don't really have a version of it that we play. I sing it or rap it or sing rapid. But we how we can do that. Yeah. Does I talk about my birthday? You say come out of my mom.
Starting point is 01:19:33 On a Tuesday. Dude, it's going to work today. Except for, didn't we, did we look up if you really came out of your mom on? You didn't come out on a Tuesday. Okay, I just wrote Ryan. But today, you did come out of your mom on a Tuesday? Courtney, any change? Did you like to hear me make during this live version?
Starting point is 01:19:46 You're weird if today can be. It's my birthday On a Tuesday It's my birthday On a Tuesday Which part? Let's just see what happens All right
Starting point is 01:19:56 Hit it Oh boy Hey yeah Yeah yeah yeah It's my birthday On a Tuesday It's a Tuesday song Hey
Starting point is 01:20:01 Oh hey We wrote this song Because you know Lots of songs About Fridays And Saturdays And even Sundays And heck
Starting point is 01:20:07 There's songs About Monday too About Monday Not being that cool But we think Tuesday should be Recognized So this is
Starting point is 01:20:13 The Tuesday Song That's performed Live, live Live Live The best day of the week You all
Starting point is 01:20:18 know it's my time. So I made a song about Tuesday. So happens it rhymes. The lowest number of crimes. A super bingo at nine. Don't know how you do your Tuesday. This is how I do mine. The sun comes up. There's a smile on my mouth. Why? Because I love Tuesday is the first thing I shout. Free Zumba this morning. Every Tuesday at five, I got my spandex on. It's time to head to the Y. Tuesday. Hey, Joe, a Tuesday. Housewife's going booze. I'm just talking about Tuesday. Hey, it's Tuesday Is my recycling on the curb As I drive off, yep, my recycling's on the curb
Starting point is 01:20:52 I mean, Fridays are fine Because they're casual and all But I'm always more productive On my Tuesday conference call me after work plans I got my spray tan I'm drinking lemon water out of me some cayenne Pebbles and bam bam, I'm watching C-SPAN And then it's two for one at Sonic
Starting point is 01:21:06 With a conie in each hand I'm singing Tuesday H-O-A-Duesday Housewife's going boozee I'm just talking about Tuesday Tuesday. Brown cow goes moose day. Eat some cash Tuesday.
Starting point is 01:21:24 I'm just talking about Tuesday. I go to Marty Grau on a Tuesday. I go to Cromagaw on a Tuesday. I'm playing Pokemon. On a Tuesday. It's my birthday. On a Tuesday. Courtney, thank you.
Starting point is 01:21:43 Thank you. Thank you. Hope you have an awesome day. And what you say? Your kid's name was Miguel? Michaela. Michaela. McHale. McHale.
Starting point is 01:21:51 It's a mixture. It's a hybrid, I would say. Yes. Yeah, it is. It is. Is there any way that I can make a call out to my sister in Rale in North Carolina? Because her birthday is Thursday. I mean, you're on, so no time like the present.
Starting point is 01:22:04 Thursday. Happy birthday, Samantha. Little cat goes, perjurz. I'll wear some Thursday. I'm just talking about Thursday. All right. Yeah, happy birthday to her too. Courtney, thank you for calling.
Starting point is 01:22:19 Thank you. I have a wonderful one. All right, bye. never been a big birthday guy, probably just never really had big birthday celebrations as a kid growing up. But gifts are kind of my love language. I like to get people gifts. I like to get gifts. I like to get gifts. Again, I think my love language is because I didn't get a lot of that. So I feel like that's what's like with somebody, wow, someone thought to get me something. That's crazy. And I try to put a lot of time into getting gifts for other people. Same type of, I'm sure, trauma that has created
Starting point is 01:22:47 that being my love language. I get home yesterday. What was I doing? Maybe just, I was working. And so I got home around one yesterday. And my wife's like, hey, I'm going to go ahead and give you your gift because she knew today I was busy, not birthday wise, I'm just busy for most of the day until tonight. She goes, I'm going to go ahead and give you your gift. That way we can have a little bit of time to just talk about it, celebrate you without being rushed. Because people are also coming in town tonight because our big St. Judea Ryman show is tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:23:20 So I'm like, cool. it in and I open it up. It's in a big box. The box is, the box is like two feet tall, about a foot and a half wide. It looks like it could be a picture because it's thin, but the dimensions are that. And I'm like, well, that's interesting. So I open it up. And it's like seven pieces of cardboard really thin stacked on top of each other. And I've never seen a gift like this before. I don't know what it is. And so I'm like, well, this is packaged weird. It's April Fool's Day too, right? I'm like, It's a joke.
Starting point is 01:23:52 It's just like it's not. You'll understand what you open it and why it's stacked that way. So it was actually something very thin and all of the cardboard was just to keep it safe. And so I peel it up. And the irony is way before I got into sports memorabilia or buying things that people had signed, my wife went and found at this live auction from Planet of Hollywood a letter that Andy Kaufman wrote himself, fully handwritten, like a self-inspiration letter. Andy Kaufman, my dead hero, Dave Letterman, my live hero.
Starting point is 01:24:25 And so it's a full letter called Why Breakfast is Meaningless. It's a full page of his writing from the 70s. Oh, wow. Yeah, it's crazy. That's awesome. She won it at an auction for you? Yeah, because it had to be an in-person. So she had to get one of those things where you're on a phone with somebody telling them.
Starting point is 01:24:44 That's crazy. That's a real deal. Mm-hmm. So I got it. Almost cried. Yeah. Like you got a little misty. It's really thoughtful.
Starting point is 01:24:53 Well, no, I just, what's that feeling whenever you're like, it like feels good, but then you got a little water in your eyes. Like feeling something. It was that and I wasn't trying not to, but like, I was like, dang. But. That's so cool, man. Like love. Maybe that's what it is, the feeling of love. Yeah, it was amazing.
Starting point is 01:25:12 And so. Were you going to put that one in the bedroom? I'm going to sell on eBay. I'm just kidding. No, stop. I'm just kidding. He's laughing. He's loaded it up already.
Starting point is 01:25:19 No, no, no. I don't know. I got to frame it. But, you know, the paper, I have a picture of it. I'll post it up on my Instagram today. But it's pretty awesome, pretty thoughtful. You know, she's about like three months trying to get it. What are you going to get me?
Starting point is 01:25:32 Right. That's impossible, man. Right. Yeah. So that's what you got me. And tonight we're doing Illuminardi. Aluminati at the house.
Starting point is 01:25:55 I bought a big box of cards, like baseball cards, and we're going to open them on my stream, on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bowens at like six. And inside of the baseball cards I bought, there's an invitation to a party. You don't know if you get what tier you get.
Starting point is 01:26:09 And there's also like a famous dead person who signed something. We're really hoping for like Abe Lincoln. Don't be awesome. That'd be amazing, man. So like you get an invite to this party no matter what. You just don't know what level. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:22 Okay. Okay. That's what I was. It comes with the box. Okay. I thought that like you maybe get invited and then that maybe you don't. No, if you get the box, you can be down with the peasants. Which is still hard to get into the peasant.
Starting point is 01:26:33 And I'm happy to be the peasants. But I don't want to go by myself. So I don't know if it's plus one. Then got to give you a plus one. But when's the party? I don't know. We don't know anything to we open it. It's like the, what's that the ticket, the golden ticket.
Starting point is 01:26:44 Yeah, Willie Wonka's. Chocolate Factory. And where is the party? I don't know. I think it's in Baltimore. That part's kind of exciting. I think it's in Baltimore, but I don't know. I just reading rumors on the other. Got it.
Starting point is 01:26:53 But so, yeah, that's what we're, and then we're doing, we're going to do some breaks with dorm dudes, dudes. And so they're coming down. And so we're not making any money off of it. And it's not our stuff, but they're going to bring their stuff down. And you guys can, I just want to break some stuff. That's going to be so much fun. That's when you open it. That's when you open the box, Amy.
Starting point is 01:27:10 Look, look at this. I'm aware at this point. Is your wife going to be partaking in this stuff? Partaking. It's like we're doing drugs. No, she's not She'll be at the house And her parents are coming
Starting point is 01:27:19 Oh good, they can break too They're not, they will be up at the house too But they're coming because not so much My birthday Which I guess is the part of it But our show is tomorrow Now they're coming for your birthday And the show
Starting point is 01:27:29 But there's no Mostly for the show We only scheduled Illuminertie yesterday afternoon And they were already I mean Yeah, whatever So that's what's up
Starting point is 01:27:39 I text Billy Dean Happy birthday Did he read back? I don't think he knows It's my birthday too It was a test Boy, let me see Well, you didn't know it was his till I told you.
Starting point is 01:27:49 Huh? So. I know, but that's hilarious. Happy birthday. But I had to tell him who I was because we didn't have each other's cell phone number. What about Jansen? You text him yet? Mr. Jansen?
Starting point is 01:28:03 I change my cell. And I don't, I sad, no, but I will. I change. Not everybody has this number. But I'll text Chris Jansen. Happy birthday and just wait and see if he says it back. But also, if you see my Facebook, that birthday's wrong. I know. Don't tell her to you.
Starting point is 01:28:19 I don't even use Facebook. I get on there every once in a while, check my same. My sister's up to, but I have like four people I follow. But I do write on that B-Team page sometimes. I'll be like, hey, what up? They're like, that's not Bobby, four followers.
Starting point is 01:28:30 There's no chance. There's four friends. They can't be him. You guys can call us if you want. 877-77-Bobby. That's our number. 877-70-B-O-B-B-Y. We got more to talk about.
Starting point is 01:28:44 Give us a second. We'll be right back. This is not a commercial. Have you ever used task? grab it? No. Okay, so I'm using it for the first time. What is that?
Starting point is 01:28:56 Is it for your to-do list? You hire and like, we bought these things for our backyard and they're like three hours away and we had to get them today and we couldn't go get a day after work. I mean, we just couldn't go. So we got on task grab it
Starting point is 01:29:09 and it's like, we need somebody to pick these up for our backyard and it's a three-hour drive and who wants to do it? And then someone's like, I'll do it. And then you go, okay, well the guy It's supposed to pick It up now Drive it over
Starting point is 01:29:23 And the whole thing He's like Hey I need 600 bucks up front Because he had to get a truck So I just paid him blindly Hoping he really goes Oh boy You pay him through the
Starting point is 01:29:36 Okay He didn't have a truck already So I'm just It sounds legit No No No No
Starting point is 01:29:52 be all over this here. There's no other way I could get it here. There's not there. I blindly had to believe. But Amy, track record. You, you have a track record. Bobby doesn't have a track record. This guy has decent reviews. I've just never used task rabbit, but he's like, hey, I need to get the truck. Can you front me half of it? But I put my card in for the whole price. So hopefully he doesn't like hit me for the full price too on the card. I don't know. You ever used it? Yeah, I've used it a few times. But normally they like itemize at the end and then you just pay everything they had to pay for
Starting point is 01:30:22 at the very end. Yeah, I hear you. But he was like, I need to get a truck. Does it go through the app, like all the payments? I know, I cashed out. It does, but I don't. I didn't. I cashed up ahead.
Starting point is 01:30:33 He was like, here's my cash app. Oh, boy, oh, boy. But I've also never done anything that maybe on that level. Like, it's only cost me like $200. Well, this isn't much more than that. I mean, I paid for like a little over half of it. Did he want you to pay it on cash app versus in the, oh. Don't owe me.
Starting point is 01:30:50 I hope you don't get stamped on your birthday, dude. Right. I just never used it. Do you want to hear what his message was asking for them? Yes. Because it makes sense. Okay. He said, day up, can you pay half so I can get the truck and pay for fuel for the trip?
Starting point is 01:31:06 I said, yeah, no problem. And then I said, how do I do that? And he said, cash up. Okay. I don't know. Let me message him, because I don't even have a cell phone number. But let me message him and say, since I paid half. Up front on
Starting point is 01:31:24 Cash app I'm only going to be charged half here. Correct. Question mark. And a scared face. Now, don't show your weakness, man.
Starting point is 01:31:41 No scared face. What if he replies back? Cash app, what are you talking about? Oh, no. Then you can hit it, Ray. If that's the case, hit the scale alert. He's going to say, who's this? If I could scan, if I went down
Starting point is 01:31:56 and sought out this scam. That may be worse than when Amy gets them sent to her. Like, I sought it out. Okay. So that's happening in my life right now. It is my birthday. Let me grab a couple calls. Somebody, what's this?
Starting point is 01:32:11 Do you know? Well, I, Johnny LaZania sent a note that staff arranged for, like, the OGB teamers. Oh, they sent up breakfast for us? Oh, that's all birthday. So that's what that is. Thank you, guys. I appreciate that. You guys have at it, yeah, your Mongols?
Starting point is 01:32:25 Are you sure it's just for, it's not just for you? There's a lot in here. Oh, good. I can't wait. Let's go. You guys can go at it. Thanks, guys. Let me get up a couple calls here. How about we go to Megan and Maryland? Megan, you're on the show. What's going on?
Starting point is 01:32:40 Good morning, Siri. Morning. Happy birthday, Bobby. Thank you very much. Today is also my son's ninth birthday. And I would say, like, major mom cool points if I can get this show to give my shout out, happy birthday. that he can listen to on the podcast when he gets home from school. Yeah, what's his name?
Starting point is 01:33:05 Noah. Noah's Nine. Everybody's saying Noah's not, but in a different melody for Noah. I'll go first. Noah is nine. Eddie? Noah is nine. Noah is nine.
Starting point is 01:33:22 He gave it a good run. Lunchbox. Noah is nine. How's that, Megan? That's awesome. You can't love it. All right, that'll be up on the podcast. Thank you so much. You're welcome.
Starting point is 01:33:37 Mine was more hip-hop. Yeah, we definitely fought that course. Right. Nothing's more hip-hop than you. Kobe Bryant's replica NBA championship ring sold for $927,000. But I wonder. Is that the one he does? It says replica.
Starting point is 01:33:50 Well, that's the thing. I need to read more about this because there's no chance that it could be a replica if they're paying a million dollars for it. But a lot of the stuff, stuff is defined weird, but yet it's a replica. But he's the one he gave to his dad. So he had one for himself and he gave one to, so that would be where the value is. He had it, gave it to his
Starting point is 01:34:06 dad as a gift. Not even the real one. A replica of Kobe Bryant's 2000 L.A. Lakers NBA championship ring, which he once gave to his father, so he did have possession of it. Has been sold at an auction for $927,200. It's the most ever paid
Starting point is 01:34:22 for an NBA championship ring. Eclipse in the previous record of Bill Russell's 1957 ring sold for $700,000. from People magazine. I do have the stuff on eBay that we're going up for all this memorabilia. But you know what I got yesterday? You ready? Brace yourselves because you are in the presence of greatness.
Starting point is 01:34:43 George Washington's the... That's it! That's it. Wow. Hold on me zoom in on that. George Washington hand wrote T.H.E. from a letter. And they clipped it off a letter and this is it. He hand wrote it.
Starting point is 01:34:56 I mean, I can't believe you guys don't think that's cool. And you know what? This to me was the coolest thing until my wife gave me a full Andy Kaufman written letter, like one of my heroes. That's, and Andy Kaufman's one. This is like very high two now. What's it say on the back? What's on the back? It says the authentic cut word and close to her was taken from an original handwritten document by George Washington. The word the written by George Washington. That's so cool, man. Honestly, it's way cooler in person. Amy, stop what?
Starting point is 01:35:23 You just said that wasn't cool and you're not laughed at him. You have been a hater for weeks. I'm going to continue to laugh at it. But I think now that I'm seeing it in person, I get it. He wrote that. Like you're right there. That's pretty cool. That's very cool.
Starting point is 01:35:39 He wrote right there under. He didn't write that. He wrote the. I got a message back from my guy on TaskRabbit. Okay. He said, can you retie it please? Don't understand. Well, that's just me.
Starting point is 01:35:52 What? He didn't understand your message. I feel like you were quite clear. Yeah. You know how I write. There's like four typeos. Okay. Can you rety it please? Half will only be charged. Yes. Half when job is complete. Okay. So I've paid half. So I'll only pay half more through app. Half more? Yeah, yeah. That's kind of weird. Why are you talking like that? Say I'll pay the rest. You're a smart guy, man. Why are you talking like that? I don't know, dude. I'm a little tired. I slept like four hours. I play half. You pay half. I can get my sleep last night. So I paid half, so I'll pay half more throughout. Oh my God, what's wrong with me? Okay.
Starting point is 01:36:35 Anything else? Half more. Oh, man. You're gonna laugh at that too? Am I clown? No. My nose is to go Hong Kong? No.
Starting point is 01:36:42 Okay. Thank you guys. Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. Story of the day. This story comes us from Oxford, Ohio. A dad was upset. His son was getting too much homework.
Starting point is 01:36:55 So he calls the school. Hey, I'd like to complain about the homework. Okay. you're noted, boom, next day. You're still sending homework. What's the problem? Sir, they get homework. Then he threatens to beat up the principal and says, if I come up there, you better have your big boy pants on.
Starting point is 01:37:10 Calls the next day, they're no longer taking his calls. So he starts calling the police department, and he called the police department 18 times to complain about it. He's not well. I mean, homework is difficult. That's too much, man. They sound too much home. It's annoying. I get the first 20 calls. And I okay, even get, put your big boy pants on.
Starting point is 01:37:28 I'll fight you. No, you shouldn't even do that. You shouldn't even do that. What does that mean get your big boy boy? Like, right to be an adult. Yeah, let's go. Yeah, let's go. I'll go and do what adults do.
Starting point is 01:37:35 That's who punch each other in the face like children. Oh, my. Yeah. So then the police came, cuffed him and stuffed them, took him to jail. Yeah, 19 times. That's a lot. Wonder if he had his big boy pants on. There are some schools that are anti-homework.
Starting point is 01:37:50 What? Oh, we need to go to those. Named those. Yeah. But they're very progressive schools. What do you mean? They've adopted, their theory is that in the allod. eight hours or whatever the kids are at school.
Starting point is 01:38:00 They should get everything done there so you can go home and be a kid. And play. Live your life. But you two are really because you were just lazy. That's not you, these two. Oh, I'm speaking as a parent. I'm speaking as a kid. I mean, I used to love to go play.
Starting point is 01:38:17 I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Hello. Go over to the phones. Alexa, Kristen, Devin, and Nikki. They're on the phone right now. They're driving from North Carolina to us. Hello, ladies.
Starting point is 01:38:29 Morning, studio. Morning. Hey, so who's the leader of the group that I'm going to talk to? This is Alexa. Okay, Alexa. So what are you guys doing right now? We are driving to Nashville. It's our first time.
Starting point is 01:38:40 What are you going to do here? We're going to the million-dollar show. Let's go. So once a year, Eddie and I, the raging idiots, we do this big show. A lot of friends coming by, and we play. We give all the money to St. Jude. And so we have a lot of artists that are playing with us. Who are you guys most excited about?
Starting point is 01:38:55 You got you guys for sure. Oh, boy. That's a good answer. It's a lie. but it's a good answer. No, it's the truth. Okay, well, that's very kind. But Sam Hunt will be there.
Starting point is 01:39:05 John Pardy will be there. Nate Smith. It's just, it's loaded. And so we're super excited for it. All the money goes to St. Jude. Somebody paid. We did one of those charity buzz things. I bought a couple things off that charity bus site.
Starting point is 01:39:19 This is for the VIP? Yeah. And I've never used stuff that I bought. I bought once a round of golf with a PGA player, a putting less. some of the PGA player in Florida. Never got down to use it. Why?
Starting point is 01:39:31 I forgot about it until right now. Uh-oh. Like literally right now in my head. Is it expired? No, it's expired. It did it like a year and a half ago. Oh, man. I'm such an idiot.
Starting point is 01:39:40 That was smart. I just want to go home now. So with Charity Buzz, it's a site, and you can bet on all kinds of stuff. And somebody for four front row seats, plus a meeting greet with Eddie and I, paid $6,000. Wow. That's too much. It's too much. We don't keep the money.
Starting point is 01:39:58 It goes right to St. Jude. That's awesome. Wow. It doesn't even come to us. Good point, Amy. It doesn't come through us. It goes right to St. G.
Starting point is 01:40:04 Do you know which seats they are so you can look at them? Be like, oh, that dude, okay. Well, he's going to meet him. That dude, what? Oh, yeah, that's right. We're going to meet them. And I'm going to try to get them something.
Starting point is 01:40:12 I don't know what that means. We'll get them about 1,500 each. Yeah. Cash. I don't, I don't know what that means. Like, maybe I get every artist to sign a poster for them. That would be cool. Oh, that'd be nice.
Starting point is 01:40:24 Oh, yeah. Are y'all making cute little poster things? I think. We're not. What are those? Baja Prins. I'm not hatching any prints. But they'll probably be something, yes.
Starting point is 01:40:34 Megan Maroni is going to be there. It's going to be an awesome show. I appreciate you guys coming to the show. And you got tickets already, right? Yes, we do. Do you know where they are? Do you have good seats? I don't think, I don't think, I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:40:48 They got back on. That's what I was going to say. Yeah, and the Ryman, there are no bad seats. As a matter of fact, whenever people put Like whenever I put my friends somewhere in the Ryman, like it's like, hey, we're doing a show. I always put them in the upper deck a bit, like in the middle because you can see the whole stage. So even like the seats that would be considered the worst in the Ryman, they're awesome. And that's where like artists put their people.
Starting point is 01:41:11 So super pumped to see you guys and can't wait for the show. Yeah, we can either. Thank you so much. All right. You guys be safe. Yeah, you do. All right, bye-bye. Yeah, that show is tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:41:22 and you know what? I don't know all the songs. Uh-oh. Do you? No. Okay. No. Like the words of the guitar part.
Starting point is 01:41:30 We had rehearsal yesterday. Music part. The thing is, I can also just turn my guitar off. Right. That's what I was going to say. And act like you're playing? Sometimes you just sort of. Sometimes.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Well, sometimes, if you ever see me like sit down, I ain't playing. That's the key. Sometimes I sit down and act like I'm just like taking a break, chill and playing. I ain't playing. If I ever go to the piano, I'm not playing it. Boom. But we have such a great band that they can cover us a lot of times. But we had rehearsal yesterday and I realized, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:41:54 I didn't know what's going on. All right, that's it. It's my birthday. I'm going to go have a good birthday today. Happy birthday, man. Thank you. Bye, have a good birthday. It's a very birthday.
Starting point is 01:42:02 I have therapy today. No, no, it's not a normal day. It's your birthday. It's your birthday, man. I have therapy today. I'm going to exercise, give a workout in today. What are you going to do with therapy? You're going to have, like, donuts and stuff?
Starting point is 01:42:12 Or like cupcakes? No. I'm going to probably have a cup of tears. Maybe you can process birthday trauma. A bowl of guilt. A bowl of guilt. Blood the candles on my guilt. Like gilk cake.
Starting point is 01:42:23 And that's it. So, Caitlin's parents are coming to town tonight because they're going to come to the show tomorrow. Cool. Yeah. Bye everybody. Bobby Bones. Yeah.
