01:56Hello, friends. And welcome to another very special episode of the Bobby Bones show.Morning studio.Morning.Let's go around the room and check in with everybody. He saw Russell Dickerson out in public, which is pretty neat. But when he sees celebs in the wild, he shouldn't scream at them.He should try to be more discreet.
02:23That's Eddie, everybody.Let's go.I'm so glad you said that because I'm proud of myself.I saw another celebrity in the wild, and I didn't say a thing.I didn't even acknowledge him.Well, that's not nice. What do you mean? What do you mean?
02:35Well, I saw them walk.I was at a restaurant. They walk in.They sit down. They have dinner.I even walk past their table at one point, but I'm like, you know what?I'm going to let them have their dinner.Did you know them?
02:44Oh, yeah.Did they see you and go, Eddie?No.No.But they know who you are?Absolutely.100%.It's a country singer?
02:51Yep.Guy girl.Guy.They'd been in the studio the last year?Oh, yeah.Dan.Nope.Brett Eldridge.
02:59Brett Eldridge.Oh.Wait, you didn't say a singer. No, no.You know what?He was at the restaurant and having dinner with someone.I said, you know what?Let him have his time.
03:08And what was crazy?is watching people stare at himand point at him. That's so weird. What do you mean? Because if I were rankingbest friends, like, you're my best friend.Yeah.Brett's like second or third.
03:23Yeah, and he's a good friend of mine. Like, he's nice.Like, we talk all the time. That's just weird because if he saw youand he was like, Eddie didn't even say anything to me.I don't think he saw me, though. He was in a deep conversation with someone.I think that's okay if it's a...So you see Russell Dickerson, who you never talk to him.
03:38That's weird.Russell! And you see Brett, who you talk to, and I'm not going to.But you guys, you know why I hang out with every week?Right, right. At some point. And you didn't say anything to him.I just wanted him to have his time.
03:50That is weird.And I didn't want to blow his cover.What if some people didn't know his cover?You don't blow a cover.I go, hey, what's up, Brett Eldridge?You just go.Hey, you have no room to talk.Oh, that's true.
04:01You have no room to talk to celebrities. What are you talking about?Hold on.He talks to get his camera.Like I see Jay going at the store and I start talking to him.Hold on.Here we go.You're going to see if you saw me.
04:09Yeah.He's going to be embarrassed.I'm talking with Eddie now.We were on the show talking about something. He was at a restaurant and he saw you at a restaurant. He said he walked by your table and he wouldn't talk to you because he didn't want to bother you.Did you happen to see Eddie at a restaurant being weird?Like not, like avoiding you.
04:24He was like, I don't want to bother him.And I was like, it's one of my best friends. And then just, okay, let me know. All right.Yeah, let me know.Let me know, Brett. So weird.I think you want us to celebrate you, but that's even weirder.
04:36I was proud of myself.I resisted.Okay.Next up, he still doesn't have a retirement plan or a 401K.He's really just hoping to hit the lottery one day. Here's lunchbox. So we were at a birthday party this past weekend, like a kid's birthday party, and they had extra pizzas.
04:52Like they ordered too many pizzas, guess enough people didn't show up or they didn't eat enough. And so as we're leaving, there was like five pizzas sitting there. And I was like, well, take one to go.Grab me a pizza and left. And my wife acted like this was the most inappropriate thingI'd ever done in my life.Do you say something to them though?
05:09Hey, can I take a pizza?No, no, no.They were just like, oh, have a good day.You know what I mean?I just grab a pizza.Hmm.I think her uncomfortableness comes from.You didn't address it.
05:20You just grabbed a piece.Because they probably would have said take oneunless they had a plan to take that pizzaand like save it for them or don't.I mean, how is a family going to eat five or six extra pizzas? That's up to them to figure out because they paid for it.But yeah, we're sitting there watching football and she just starts talking to me about it.So here, here's her reasoning.
05:37You just can't take something to go.You have to ask, and then it's even weird to put someone in a weird spot.So just eat while you're there, and then that's it.They invite us over for food and cupcakes and party. You're saying you're not allowed to take the food home? That's what I'm saying, yeah.Oh, boy, I feel like I'm doing them a favor by taking the pizza.Well, mainly I say, please take the pizza, but they didn't say that, so you can't just take pizza.
06:04Please vote.Guys, tell me I'm right, and tell me my wife's crazy. There's no voting.No.You can,you could have probably taken it.Hey,do you guys mind if we take a pizza?
06:12They'll probably say yes,but just to grab it is weird.I mean, they give to go back, like they give a little party favor,so why would be...A pizza? No, that's choice.
06:19Yes, it has like a twisty strawand a re-pop.He wants voting.A vote.You got to ask.Yeah.Wife.Team wife.
06:25Team wife.Team wife, you got to ask. That's fun. There's your vote.Yeah.She's taking improv classesto help her get out of her shell
06:32and she may soon get another acting role. You can never tell. Here's Amy.So I was at the grocery store with my son,and we walked past the family restroom area.I was like, you know what?I'm probably, and you just use the bathroom real quick. So Stevenson standing there watching the car while I go over,
06:49and I open the door, and I see a man in there, and I slam the door, and I walk out.You walked in on a dude, a random dude. And so it was a family restroom. He didn't lock the door.So there was no stall. There was just a sink, toilet.Oh, no.
07:01And then this is a grocery store. It's really not that big.Oh.I'd have left. I'd have left my kid. I just went home.Suddenly.Hey, kid, find your own way home.I don't want to see that person again ever.Suddenly, I was like, okay, I'm good.
07:12I'll just wait until I get home. And we're over in the produce section, and I see him.And I'm like, oh, kids, let's go.We're going over here. And then over by dairy, I see him again. And I just bolt. And I thought. What if they started dating after that?
07:24What if that was happening?I mean, that may have been a sign.I mean, you look for signs. No, no.Why are you avoiding him?Yeah, you weren't a bad.Oh, no, I would have avoided him.It just was awkward.
07:33I don't know.Something about it, which is very, very, very awkward. It's terrible. And I didn't want any part of it.It's seeing someone at their most vulnerable.Right.And I just didn't, I don't want him to feel weird. So I just kept every time I'd run into him in the groceries or I disappear.
07:46You got to lock that door. And I've been, I've done both.I've walked in and I've also been the one walked in on.When you're sitting on the toilet, someone walks in and you're looking up your eyes and you're like,oh my God.That is terrible. That's terrible. That's terrible.
08:00Thank you, Amy.That's very vulnerable of you to share that. All right. What else, Ray?Give it to me.From Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he wishes the show could be later in the day, and his next contract, it just may.Bobby Bones.Thank you.
08:11Well, probably if they just signed a new contract. It's going to be a bit.And it ain't.So, here's the thing.I'm someone who, hopefully, you know, encourages you to, if there's something you really wanted to do, sacrifice and go get it, regardless of what age you are.You know, a great example would be Amy going to improv classes.I brought that up.I think Amy being 40 and doing improv at the first time.
08:33That's super cool.Even if she never does anything with it, right?Like always trying new things. So even me doing stand-up comedy, I didn't grow up as a comedian.I never did the clubs.I just was like, ah, screw it.Let's just see it.And I, at 33, 34, just started doing stand-up.
08:49So, that being said, I have this list here. This is when they started, okay?Henry Ford, 40.Started making cars at 40?Yeah, I think he had lots of failures before that.Christian Dior, designer.41.Sam Walt.
09:03with Walmart, 44.Wow, that's my age.The guy who started GoDaddy, 47.Okay.Wow.The Bernie Marcus, who started Home Depot, 49.That's amazing.Wow.
09:16Harlan Sanders, Kentucky Fried Chicken, 62.Colonel?Didn't even get going until he was, didn't start until he was 62.So the picture of him being old was like probably when the company started. That's probably the day he started.Take a picture on me. I'm starting the company. That's funny. The guy who started E-Trade, which is Bill Porter,
09:3363. So you're not behind. You're just one decision away from getting started.Yeah, so you guys give me a hard time. And Eddie, a hard time. What we're waiting is for the right age. That's right. That's right. The right idea.Oh, I got the idea.My chickens, guys.On that list, you're going to read that in 10 years.
09:53They took this completely wrong. They took this as an always time to wait and be lazy.No.It's not like if you have things that you're, okay. But at 63, I ain't doing that because I ain't trying to grind. He's going to be retired.Yeah, what money? The chicken. The chicken money.
10:07How's he going to retire?Yeah, that's his problem.Okay, there you have it.Who's going to have more?Me from nothing or him, the chicken, me.He ain't going to sell chickens for the next 20 years, guys.If he sells one chicken, it's more than zero.Okay, thank you.
10:19Let's get the show going here.Bobby Bone's show.Wednesday show starts now.Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's mailbag.Yeah.Hello, Bobby.
10:33husband recently confiscated our daughter's phone and caught naughty picks between her and her boyfriend.Oh.While we really liked the kid, we are boggled on how to handle the situation since they're only 15.I myself had a boyfriend all throughout high school.I vividly remember some of our things, which I do believe are quite normal. However, my husband never had a girlfriend and grew up more conservatively and is ready to takeeverything away from our daughter, including the boyfriend. How should we handle this?
11:00We don't want her to go behind our backs.and we also have the need to control the situation.Your parenting advice is welcomed.Sincerely, Mommy Fearest.Amy, you go.Gosh, I have not experienced this,so don't know that I would have the best advice here, but I would not react to this.
11:21We need to respond to it.So the reaction would be taking everything awayand taking the boyfriend away.If you can take time to really talk to people, maybe that have been through this,or if you have a counselor of some sorts that knows like the teenage brain evenand just knowing that, yeah, some of this stuff is normal. But sitting them down, here's what I think I would do maybe after talking to people.
11:43Having us sit down and talking to our kids about the importance of phones and picturesand how that stuff can end up out there and just being more, I don't know.I just don't want to be naive to certain things that are happening. But at the same time, you need to be responsible about certain things. And they're 15 years old.Yeah, and this is one of those thingsso you're not going to do it exactlyregardless of what you do.
12:04It's such a sensitive thing.Everybody acts different than their age,but so don't put the pressure on you to reactor respond in a right waybecause there is not a universal right here. That's why I was hoping, like maybe if you know someoneor know someone that knows someone
12:17that's been through it, like hey.Well, also been through it.Like the kids haven't been through. They're just doing what kids do.Right.So this is what I would say.Number one, they want to act like adults. You're going to treat them like adults.
12:29In that, look you idiotsI get you want to do thatbut once these pictures are out therethey could send them to anybody 500 of their friendsand 500 of your friends are going to have itdon't do the you shouldn't do thatbecause it's bad you don't treat adults
12:43like that they're acting like adults so let's treatthem an explanation let's treat them like adultsyou're going to send them pictures of your buttas soon as you guys break upif you ever do break up which you probably will eventuallyhe's going to send all those pictures to his buddydon't do that he's got yousame thing so you have that conversation
12:59Number two, I'll grab them by the head of the hair and go, hair of the head and go,you know you have pictures of somebody underage on your phone, even though you're underage too?Damn, that's scary. That'll scare them.Yeah.So let's treat them like adults. But no need to break them up.They're not doing anything purposefully bad.
13:17They just need to be educated on the decisions that they're making. So it's a couple conversations, but it's not talking to young kids. It's talking to 15-year-olds that feel like they're 25.So you almost have to fate like you're talking to them, like they're 25, even though you're really not.Eddie? You know, my, that's a lot going on here, but my kids respond a lot to movies. So, like, I think it'd be cool.Like, all right, we're going to watch 13 reasons why it's a TV show about that kind of stuff.
13:47You know, pictures being spread around high school, then being bullied. It doesn't end well.Like, that kind of stuff.Watch Juno.Juneau, she's 14 or 15.She gets pregnant. And they get a whole movie date.I mean, dude, I'm telling you, this is the way my eyes.
13:59communicate with my kids like here'sboys in the hood like you don't really want to live in the hoodthis is it that kind of stuffin this situation find good movies that willreally get to him and say hey this can't happenif you keep this up if I was a 15 year old andsomebody did this to me I'd be like okay dadokay yeah really the movies
14:15I mean you reward them with movie time and popcornand those are all good movies manyou'll never forget those moviesmaybe we can get some theater ones nextokay I think consequencescan also take place but you just need tobe sometimes asparents, we have to be strategic knowing that, yeah, we don't want our kids to not feel seen
14:35or, and feel safe with us and then like just bolt and go the opposite direction and completely startgoing totally behind our backs. Like, I want my kids to feel safe to come to me with things. And they will, mostly. Ish. Yeah. Yeah. So you're just not going to do it right, mom, because there is no right. But yeah, talk to your husband. Your husband, you got to calm down.Yeah, calm down. Yeah, he wants to go beat the 15-year-old up right now. I get that, but you got to calmthem down. That's our advice. Thank youfor the email. All right, close it up.We've got your email with Bobby's Mailpack.
15:11Joining us in studio, our executive producer,Scoobo Steve. It's time forScooba SteveSuggests. So everybodysay hello to Fryer Tuck. Hey,Friar Tuck. He doeslook at this thing. Come on, guys.So here's the deal. Scoobo Steve changes
15:27his head all the way bald. Andhe said he does it because he grows thathalf ring around his head.So I don't know how the back got started, but everybody's been trying to get Eddie to shave his head forever. That's ridiculous.Scoob said he'll grow his out to the end of the year if Eddie shaves his head bald. That's what I don't understand, though.I'm just sitting here, man.
15:43Just living my life. You're not, though. You're just as part of all this. But why do you bring me into this?Because we all bring everybody into everything. It's hilarious. And it backfired on him, so now he has to grow the ring. And he has to go to IHartRadio Music Festival, which you're leaving today.
15:56Leaving today.I'm going to be around all these execs, important people, artists, people I've looked up to, and they're going to see me.yeah you can say I can wear a hat but I'm running all over the place I'm sweating I can't wear a hat most of the timeSo what are you asking? You should wear a hatOh yeah hold on no no don't do thatOh thanks wowWhat are you asking about I mean I mean I this is my sweatband but that'd be niceYeah my this is my final plea to the jury which is Mike D Morgan and Ray and someone came to me yesterday and said it's time to shave the head because it is distracting
16:25My final plea can I please shave my head? Have I reached the point where Eddie can now shave his head to? NoEddie, you're not part of the jury, neither am I.But the deal was after Christmas.Or until the jury decides it's distracting. It's distracting.Even my kids don't look at me the same anymore. That's at home.So you're saying it's so distracting even professionally this weekend.
16:45Yes, it will affect me.People will think, like Amy said the other day, I looked tired or unkept because of the way.And that's okay.I understand.Maybe he just was, yeah, didn't have time to care for himself.Yeah.If you always had that look, then I wouldn't think anything of it.It's just that you're normally very clean-shaven.
17:01Yes, Ricky.this is what I say to you. What?Make him shave his face to get to shave his head.Oh, please. And how long does he have to keep that?Oh, man, Jerry. His sco's got a big old beard.
17:13He's always had.We never known him without it.My kids have never even seen him without the beer. They've never seen me with a clean face. They're really going to be scared. So I would just say, Jerry, if I were just giving, just sitting up here in front of you, because what a great jury.
17:24Thank you for this service you're doing. So you're just a witness.I'm just someone that's saying a couple things to the juryas someone who has some input.Cool, thanks a lot, dude. And I think you could think about letting him shave his head if he shaved his whole, like he has to shave everything from his neck up all the way down with a razor or nothing at all.Just my opinion, you guys can also say nothing.
17:45So it's up to you guys.Or I can just shave my head because that was what we're going to talk about in the first place.Yeah, go ahead.Let's go to the foreman.Morgan, you're foreman of the journey?Well, Skuba.Yes.I mean, are you willing to give up the beard?
17:57That was never on the table. That's like a new.wrinkle in time here. Then they're going to say no.What if they're okaywith just me shaving the head? Are you okay with him just shaving the head, jury?Straight up.
18:07Well, can I consult my fellow jury?Mike D, how are you feeling? What do you think?I don't think it looks that bad.Okay.I haven't even noticed that it looks distracting at all.So I think it's fine.Keep rocking it.
18:18Don't shave it.Okay, Ray?Yeah, for the power of the bit, honestly, just needs to go a little bit longer.Oh, my God.Well, then I guess the vote is you're not allowed to show.I represent this show when I'm at this festival, by the way,Yeah, we think it's hilarious.
18:31Would you shave your face, though, to shave the head?I've considered it, yes, because I'm kind of over the beard myself.I don't even know that the jury would want that.Jerry, would that be a trade you'd will on it?We could consider it.That would be amazing. So shave the beard and the head.Yeah.
18:45So the terms would have to be this.Okay.You get to shave the head.Okay.All three juries have to, this has to be unanimous.Okay.You shave the head and the beard, but it also removes Eddie from the bed.Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
18:58I'm not letting him off easy.He gets flat off a lot around here. You do it?I don't know.Let this one go.Yeah, you do.I'm willing to hold on stronger just so you can shave your head.Okay, so he's going to stay where he has, Fryer Tuck, with his ring around his head.
19:11He's going to keep going.I'm already music festival. You're going to look good.Got that circle. It's pretty how male pattern baldness is.Isn't that weird? It's just like. It's terrible.
19:18And I have like one random hair that's grown over here in the right side of my head.Just that one growing still?Definitely. What about that one?Yeah.Like a, like what kind of hat do athletes work out in or tennis?tennis players wear. Get one of those because they sweat. And it's just...
19:34Are you going to wear a hat? I can'twalk around like this guys. I think you should. You look fine. You look great, actually. I'm one livingthis. You don't have to homeover or anything. It's like, sometimes you got like a Zid on your nose oryou're like, it feels huge. And we don't really notice until... It's notthat big of a deal. Okay, thank you so much.
19:50Amy's face says otherwise. I know.I mean, over under five peoplethat are like, scuba, why do you have that ringaround your head? Under. Way under. They won't even notice. Okay. They don't even notice.Okay.They don't even notice.IHRady Music Festival Friday night, Saturday night.
20:04Yes, it is, yeah.So people can listen. They can listen on IRA radio stations or you can watch on Hulu. What?Yeah, baby, we're on Hulu this year.10 Eastern, 9 Central, 7 Pacific.Dude, that's legit. How did I not know this?
20:18I watched a bunch of other festivals on Hulu. That's amazing that we're part of that list. Why do they keep me out of the loop?Well, it's a big secret until right now.Boom.It's not a secret. It's on all the.Amy.
20:28Bobby Newt's just playing into it.Amy, I'm just like, I'm just, actually I'm not.So, tomorrow night and Friday night and Saturday night. And we'll be there, be a part of it.Yes, we will.On Hulu, you just go and find I Heart Radio Music Festival?Right there on Hulu, yeah. That's pretty cool.
20:46Hey, it beats the days when we were on the Periscope.Oh, yeah.Ah, those days. You know what I mean?Back in the Way Day.Friar Tuck, thank you for your, keep your head growing. You was Friar Tuck.Thank you.
20:58Amy.For Robin Hood.Robin Hood, and he had the big ring. That's what he had, the big head, the ring. And a big beard. The hair. No?
21:05I can picture it now,but I thought you were talkingabout some sports comedy.Just look at me.No, no.Yeah, I can follow.From Robin Hood?Yeah.
21:13Funny, huh?Yeah, he just needs some bangs.Yeah.Yeah, just bangs with that.Grow them out.All right, Scoba, Steve.Thank you very much.Oh, yeah.
21:20It's time for the good news. With Amy.Tell me something good. All right, so picture it.Licking Heights South Elementary.Courtney Weller is teaching a math lesson and all of a sudden one of her students comes up to her. He's like, I'm choking. He has a marker cap, like a lid stuck.
21:40Oh, is he like chewing on it?In his throat. He couldn't even speak to tell her what was wrong. She just could tell, okay, like he's choking on something. So she started tapping on his back trying to dislodge it.And then she busted out the Heimlich maneuver and the marker lid popped out.And this is just a reminder, as Ms. Weller would like for everyone to,learn these techniques.
22:02This is one that you definitely need to takeand do and take seriously. It could be matter of life and death, soyeah, definitelytake that CPR training.Don't do it, Eddie. Well, I was readyto do the Heimlich. I was ready to do the Heimlich.Eddie saved Mike D's life. When?
22:18Well, last week. But Eddie also made himchoke. Well, not on purpose.Eddie ordered like nine meals. I bought everybody'slunch. We were driving up toWestern Kentucky.Yeah. University, the football program. So I just like,Everybody, I'll order your lunch.I'll pay for it on the drive up there.
22:32It's like an hour and a half drive. So Eddie orders like four meals.Very lunchbox-esque.And so Mike's laughing hard because I'm like, okay, who's is this? And I'm, the fourth meal.I'm like, that's mine too. He's in the back seat and he's got all these meals. And so Mike's laughing as he's eating and starts choking.
22:52And then Eddie saves his life.I look over, Amy, and he's got tears in his eyes. His eyes are really wide.Story gets a little more dramatic every time, no, to be honest. And he's mouthing, help me.Help me.Did you mail that, Mike?I didn't think so.
23:03And I said, are you okay? And then he nodded, no, I'm not okay.So then I went into action.Maybe the universal sign of choking.Yeah.Did he ask you if you were okay?Like, what's, okay? What is Eddie going into action?
23:13Oh, I started pounding his bat.I was ready to do high, I'm like, but we didn't get to that point. My slaps got the object out. Also, his lunch is five times more than everybody else's is.So stupid. And I don't like how he took a shot at me in that story.Eddie?Lunchbox-box-esque?
23:27Yeah, he said, lunchbox is like, why are you taking a shot?Because when you go?somewhere and somebody pays for it.You're like four entrees.I may have learned it from you.But that's the company.Eddie did it with a human. That's true.
23:36Andy took $80 from you. That's right.Did ever get that back?Yeah, yeah, yeah.I think so.Hey, next time you're choking, though, I got you.Let me check that Ben Mo and see if Eddie ever get my head.Yeah, yeah, check it.

26:29And for more, follow Timbo Slica Life 12and TikTok podcast network on TikTok.Morgan, who works on our show as head of our digital, she hasn't had smell in...Three years. From COVID.It is not back. And so she had set an appointment, or at least talked about setting an appointment with that woman who was going to rub her face because apparently the woman thinks that she could rub the right nerves to get her smell back after three years. So where are you on this?
26:54So I called her and I asked if she wanted to come up here and she's like, I don't think you're going to want to do that. It's actually a full body massage she had to do.So I had to like go and actually get a full body massage.Yeah, I went. And it was crazy.I mean, she worked on me for like an hour and a half.It was basically what, it wasn't a normal massage. It was a lymphatic and a, I'm going to pronounce this wrong,
27:15fascia.Fasha.Like fascia.Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that was the type of work she was doing on me.And she did, she ended up using like a cup on my face. She did the fascia on my face.So a fascia, when I've had it done for injuries, it's like a, I don't know if you're
27:28the same, but it's like a steel thing and they like scrape it on you.Yeah.Was that what yours was at all?Extra pressure put on you essentially.Yeah.Fash is under, like it's under your skin.Yeah, it's all over your body.Yeah.
27:38So she was basically releasing everything outside of my body. And so she worked on me for like an hour and a half and I was like, there's no way this is going to work. So, but she's walking on parts of your body that aren't your face.Yes, she did everything. It's going to help your nerves to get your smell back.Yep.Everything connects.
27:52She's like the lymphatic system connects everywhere. And she explained it so much more beautifully than I did.But like it all connects and it'll all help to hopefully get whatever is blocking your senses from coming. Is it like a hippie?like type place.I mean, she's a massage therapist.Okay.So not really.
28:09But not like crystals.No.It's her place. It was her house. It's somewhat normal.I know.Okay.It's just more involved than a lot of people maybe would go for a massage.
28:20Are you naked?Yeah.Oh yeah.So it's like a real massage.Full massage. It's just she's doing different techniques and utilizing sesame oil, which apparently penetrates your skin a lot better to help with the lymphatics.Okay.
28:31So I got all this done and I left.I was like, okay, I'm not really feeling anything yet.And then I went to mow.I got a whiff of grass. And I smelled it.Oh, you went to mow a yard.Yeah, like my yard.I thought she was like, welcome to mows.
28:42Yeah, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, well, no crap.Yeah, and I got like a whiff of grass.I was like, oh, what was that? And then yesterday we were sitting in the glass room and lunchbox was eating a banana. And I turned around.I was like, oh, my God, I smelled a banana. And I looked there and I said, well, no crap. And then she goes, I haven't been out of smell for it.
29:02And I was like, oh, sorry. That's crazy. So it's not back entirely. But it has helped a little bit?Yeah, it's definitely like cleared.I definitely feel more like before it was totally numb in there and now I actually feel stuffin my nose happening.Do you go back?
29:16Yeah, I think I'm going to go back again and see if it continues to help it or maybeit at least loosened me up to be able to do like some people mention acupunctureon your face.So maybe it got me to a step that I can now get work done and actually help my nose. That's crazy if it works after three years. How much did it cost? It's $150 bucks.I'm going to pay, I told you I pay for that one, so I'm going to pay for that one.
29:36But any other your smell, you get back, it's on you.Okay, I can do this. You're responsible. That's crazy. That's really cool. And if it does work, I think that's great because there are people who struggle with this still.Yes.Wow.
29:47We ask her if she can fix my BH?Yeah, she might be able to.Like, she can fix everything. She fixed a toe injury that I had that all of a sudden it's no longer hurting.Oh, so.She's psychic? No.She's just like really good at figuring out the energy in your body.
30:01She's like there's different pressure points.Hold on.I struggle with that. There's different pressure points in your body that get affected that you don't realize are being affected by an injury you have.Yeah.Bobby,energies everywhere.I know,
30:13but I struggle when it's like, your monoponadus energy is too raising high from your cerebrum. And I think if you do this and they touch my earlobe like, you're fixed.Yeah.What?Now that Morgan said it's a lymphatic massage,I've had one of those done before.
30:27And the person I went to doesn't do men.She won't do it.So I don't know.I don't, did this woman? She does it on kids. She has a lot of athletes that come to her.Somebody who really helps with a lot of chronic pain that people have and she's able torelieve that chronic pain.
30:43She also helps a lot of cancer patients and stuff because it helps get, like eliminate a lot.The fascia helps get all of those toxins out of your body. You haven't smelled in three years. You can now smell a little bit.Lunchbox, stick your butt in the air.All right, Morgan, get close. There it is.Now swift.
30:58All right, keep us updated.I will.Let us know when you go back.That's crazy.It's very promising.You want to cringe?Come on.So let's do this.
31:07First, this is people on the news reacting to new drinking and driving laws when it's like you can't drink and drive anymore. Here you go.To restrict drinking and driving here is viewed by some as downright undemocratic. It's kind of getting common. It's when a fella can't put in the hard day's work, put in 11, 12 hours a day, and then getting your truck and the lease around one or two beers. They're making it laws where you can't drink when you want to.You have to wear a seatbelt when you're driving.Pretty soon we're going to be communist country.
31:36Pretty soon. What?Oh, wow, wow, wow, communist. That's crazy. It's crazy.I feel like my dad would have been the third one there. It's crazy to hear.So this is, similarly, you look back and you're like, dang, I can't believe that.
31:51So 1993, Burger King was like the first restaurant to introduce that we'll take a credit card. And so the news went out and they were talking to people. So here you go.Here's a clip from a report Jamie Costello News Channel 2 in 1993.I think it's pretty bad if you have to use a credit card when you go to a fast food restaurant for something as little as $3.10.Burger King bosses say workers won't have to figure out how much change the customer gets back.I just hope it doesn't slow things down at the cash and carry that people are going to be having to call New York and get the confirmation or, you know, whatever it is because when I want a whopper, I want it now. This is another way to spend money.
32:28I'm sure it'll work for people on vacation when they don't have to do something, but I can't imagine it working on a day-to-day basis here.So far, the smallest credit has been for $2.50, the largest, just over 10.Jamie Costello News Channel 2.Hey, little do they know, no drinking and driving, we're all buying Whoppers to cards, you know what? That is hilarious. And it's pretty fast, too, to use credit cards.I don't want it to slow it down because they're going to call New York.Like, what in the world?
32:52And I want my Wopper now. Now, dang it.What do we learn from this? That change is okay.Yes, we evolve and it's a cycle and everybody complains about everything.I mean, when seatbelts, aside from drinking and dry when seatbelts came into play and it was law, people do a fit. When we could just go down, helmets on motorcycles, you could keep going.Yeah.
33:15People do a fit.But now you look back and you're like, yo.It was okay.We needed to do that.Yeah, we needed to do that.Thank you guys. These are your number one songs and all the musics, the number one alternative songs.the number one alternative song
33:28is from Little ImageOut of my mindNever heard thatMe eitherPretty coolNumber one pop songTaylor SwiftCruel Summer
33:42Number one country songis Thomas Red AngelsThe number two songthoughOh no noGo fight bahBailey Zimmerman religiouslyThat is a jam sandwich
34:07That is a jam sandwichI do like my ownbackground vocalYou know, I do it my own way sometimes. That's how I'm moved I am.Here we go.It's a good song. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
34:33Do you have any unopened or brand new VHS tapes from the 80s?I don't have any.I'd just thrown them away if I'd had them. But same with everything that I wish I would have kept.Like an old iPhone.I didn't get the first one though. But all that stuff is like so Nintendo.Yeah.
34:50So valuable. What do we need to get now and keep it in its box?Great question.Because.Oh, like something.New now?Yeah.Okay.
34:57Don't open it.Macro bar.You have that right now?Mm-hmm.Next to you.Don't open it, but it's pretty healthy. You'll probably eat it.Oh, because VHS tape collections, they can be worth a fortune.
35:10Like, back to the future from 1989, brand new, is going to get you almost $15,000.Unopened, unsealed. If you kept it, you're doing pretty good. The Gounies? The iPhone would be awesome. The iPhone won, yeah.Yeah, Go ahead. The Guneis is 120.
35:26$5,000.It's crazy that somebody will pay that.Things are only worth where people will pay, but if people will pay it, it's worth it.But that's just wild that you can find one person that finds that collectible, that valuable, that it's $125,000.Do you have any other ones up there?Yeah. What about E.T?This is the 20th anniversary limited edition that came out in 2002 for $40,000.
35:49Dances with Wolves.I'm just naming movies.I don't see that one.Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure of the original.Nightmare on Elm Street. From 85, brand new is $37,000.That's wild. All right, what else?
36:01A third of Americans cannot name all three branches of U.S. government.Okay, don't yell them out.Who do we think would have the hardest time at naming all three?I think lunchbox can name all three.Morgan will have the hardest time.Oh, yeah, Morgan's good.I wasn't quite ready to open that out.Wow, okay.
36:16Okay, Morgan, can you name?Morgan, you got this.Wait, yeah, what is it?Okay. The three branches of U.S. government.Oh, yeah.Judicial.Okay.
36:30Legislative.Okay.I'm going to tell you right now, those two are right.Oh, okay, okay, okay. That's good because I don't think I have the last one.You do.So think about judicial as what?I don't know.
36:43I'm going to be honest.I don't know what any of them mean. That's okay. But judicial, what do you think judicial means, though, generally speaking?Well, I think of like a judge.Boom, got it.Judges, Supreme Court. So that covers Supreme Court.
36:53Legislative branch. What do you think that would cover?Like people who make laws?Boom.Congress.You know.Senate.Boom.
37:00Now what's left out there? There's two of the checks and balances type system. What's the one thing there's left out?Okay. So we've got judge and we've got the lawmakers.Like the, I mean, even the lower would be like the governors and mayors.Okay.You're almost, you're on the right track-ish, but don't go lower.
37:16Go higher.Same thing.Oh, like the presidential.Boom.What branch is that?Oh.We don't know.Presidential.
37:30Who are the tops of like our company? That's too general. If you run a company, you're in, you're like a CEO, you're a boss, you're a, which is in.Chief.We even have like a short word for him. That's, that's confusing. You just made it all hard.Really?
37:49There's too many words floating.I feel like it's presidential, but I know that's not right.It is presidential.It's executive.Executive branch.You almost got there.All right.Is that it, Amy?
37:57Yeah, it was just like a fun thing. What was the stat again? The poll, a third of Americans cannot name all three branches of U.S. government.Okay.I feel like that's a little high.Yeah, but we're one, two, three, four, five in the room, and only one couldn't name it.Well, we didn't test Eddie.Yeah, I probably would have gotten it wrong.
38:14I think Eddie, yeah.Oh, really?Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.Jelly Roll recently was doing a live at CMA, and it was a Q&A session. They asked them, hey, what songs are you listening to these?stays on repeat and here's what he's got.I've been just bangingthe new Tyler Chilner's
38:32song. It's crazy. LaineyWilson's watermelon moonshine right nowI have listened toso many times I'm embarrassed to admit it.You know the song that I listen to all the timeis, because I don't want tofalse I say, because I don't want to be your face. This religiously song,
38:54I mean,Give it a Grammy.Don't know what category.Just give it a Grammy. It's like cool song. The Grammy for this song would have been a hit in the 90s, the 2000s, and now.And it would have been a hit in different genres in all the different decades. That's a 90s alternative song, an emo 90s alternative song in the 90s.
39:19And it's a country song today.It's a singer-songwriter song on the 2000s on the coffee house.Oh, copy house.Yeah, you know what I mean?That's the jam.I'm Amy. That's my pile.That was Amy's pile of stories.It's time for the good news.
39:33With lunchbox.Tell me something good. There's this 50-year-old chick in Baltimore got a new license plate for a car a couple years ago, and she hated the numbers. They were 9-1-1-0-4.So she hit them up and said, hey, can I get a new license plate? And they're like, no, no, ma'am, that's the one you're going to keep. She's like, fine, I'll keep it.Then she started seeing those numbers everywhere at work on TV.
39:57911, yeah, that's the whole thing.on a con car.She said, man, these numbers must be very importantbecause they're my license plate tag.I'm seeing them everywhere. So they introduced a new lottery game called Pick 5.She goes, I have to play those numbers.Played them, $150,000.
40:14Wow.I think it will be cool, though, even without the lottery,I have that as my number because I can remember it.I never remember my license plate.Ever.I take a picture of it and put on a phone and then,oh, crap, what is it?But if we're 911 104, I remember that right now.
40:26Even walking to the parking meter, I forget it.Yes, yes. Then I'm like, son of a gun, I got to go back and look again.Do you have your driver's license number, memorize? No chance.No.I used to have mine when I had a Texas one.I have two of my credit cards in Marizzo and the CVA.
40:39Wow.That's good. That's impressive. What is that?I've just had to type them in other places. So what is it?Five, too.Good story.
40:49Yeah, she said she started crying. Her husband are so thankful.Well, don't be resentful. He's mad now.Yes, good enough. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.Freddie Mercury was the lead singer of
41:02Queen.Queen.Did you know that?Yeah. They auctioned off 1,400 items and made $50 million.Wow.All Freddie Mercury related.Among the hottest items up for bid were his Tiffany, the brand Tiffany, mustache comb that went for $189,000.
41:24They thought it would go for $700.That's crazy. It went for $189,000.The 13-pageBohemian RhapsodyHandwritten LyricsWith the working titleMongolian Rhapsody
41:38Which was the originalOh$1.7 millionThat's crazyWowI didn't realize this dudeWas that popularBrady Mercury?
41:48Yeah QueenPretty legendaryAs far asI would say AmericanbandsBut they're not AmericanButOf all the bands
41:55That we have in AmericaThey're still topsAnd an amazing singer, one of the best.Yeah, like all of our best bandspretty much are all not American.Like, think about it.Beatles, not American, not American.Queen, Led Zeppelin.
42:06Not American, not American.Like, as far as like rock bands,food fighters, American.American.Cold play.Not American.Guns and roses.American.
42:16Eh, lame.It was just before me.It was just, that 80s sound is not for me.You don't like that metal sound? It's not the metal I don't likebecause ACDC could be considered metal,American also. They're not American? No, but I love ACDC. Yeah, this is the 80s rock, just the glam rock stuff. This is not my jam at all. What about Kiss? Are they American? They are? Yes. Those are the hair bands.
42:39The makeup would be before that, though. And Kiss really is known more for their theatrics and makeup and stage. No, no, they are, but they're not, people don't listen to Kiss and go, like, greatest musicians, like wonderful lyrics. They have a few songs.Oh. But Kiss known more for their theatrics. What about insane clown?Posse. I-CP, American, yeah, for sure.Interesting.They are for sure. So, we could have bought this.Yeah, we had the money for that.We had the money for that one. I can't believe
43:10those lyrics were for $1.7 million. That is crazy. A lot of the proceeds, by the way,go to charities. That's awesome.Of all that money. $50.4 million just thing, raised. All right, that's from People magazine.Let's go over to Amy. Get into Morning Corny. The Morning Corny.

55:06Listen to the Sports Slice Podcast on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get yourpodcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slica Life 12 and TikTok podcast network on TikTok.On the phone, it's Crystal in Ohio.Crystal, good morning.Thank you for calling the show.Morning studio.Morning.
55:23So, yeah, I do talents for a living, and I just think that that's a great investmentfor you guys. What, you do it for a living?Yes.So, okay, so lunchbox came to the studio and said, we wanted to.do this thing where we want to go buy these palletsand we don't know what's in it. They're all hidden. It's mystery. It's all returns
55:38apparently from Amazon. Yeah. I thinkwhat I read is Amazon returns and they just shrinkwrap it on a pallet and you grab a pallet.Do you have everybody's money? No, still don't have Amy or Scuba.Oh, I didn't send yesterday? We can't get it until you guys have the, come on, guys.Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. How are you blaming me? No, she goes, I thought he was.
55:58I'm just kidding. Yeah. Okay. And so how much does the pallet cost?It was $525 is what I found.Hey, Crystal, if we're buying a palette for $525, what do you feel like, like how quality a palette is that?I'm super picky about where I get my pallets from and who I buy from.I've been burned on plenty of them.I try to buy ones that are more shelf pulls versus returns.
56:22Like, I prefer target pallets over Amazon because Amazon is normally a lot of returns and garbage. But I've also found some cool stuff on there.like one of my pallets they opened from Amazon had a JBL speaker on it.It's for $400.Well, I kept that one.And then resold it?No, I kept that one.You kept it.
56:41You kept that one.I kept that gig for myself.Yeah, I got it.What does a palette usually cost you just generally when you buy a palette? One palette, how much it cost?I would say my palettes are in the $500 range.Okay, so it's about where we are.So you're telling me Amazon's are good.
56:55How do I get a target palette then? You have to.Well, I know you can buy them.online. I don't buy online. I have like local, I guess, vendors, if that's what you want to callthem, who they have contracts with companies. So I buy my pallet, kind of like from a middleman,I guess.Man, I've been so excited about this palette business. And you make enough to, this is what you dofor a living. You make enough profit off your pallets that you can just support yourself.
57:22Yep. I'm a single mom. We live very comfortably. And I've been doing this. I've been doing thisabout four years now. And how do you sell? Do you get on Facebook Marketplace? Or how do youyou make your money back?I run a Facebook group. So, like, I post myself.People pick up from my house.I set out their orders in the morning, people that are coming.
57:40Everybody pays, well, I should say, about 90% of people pay online, some people do cash. But I don't even see, like, half these people, they just come and pick up their ordersthroughout the day.Wow.
57:48Thank you for that insight. We really appreciate that.I'm very excited now.Me too.Can I wait to be rich?Yeah, I got a message on Instagram, and this lady said her best friend is a nurse, and on her days off,
57:57she does pallets,and she makes about $1,000,profit per pallet.Per pallet.That's pretty good.Per palate.That's pretty good.Oh my God.
58:04Profit.So that means she's making,if it's a $500 pallet,she's just $1,500 worth.Yeah.If it's profit.Wow, yeah.Anybody reach out to you about this?
58:13Yeah, one of my friends texted meand said that they did this in South Carolinaand that you have to go for the more expensive pallets. Is this one of the more expensive ones?I mean, I didn't realize there was levels.I just saw the $525 pallets for, sale Amazon returns and I was like, wow, didn't realize there was different vendors and localpeople and middlemen. I am now just ready to get busy. And it says here, she said lucrative if you
58:41resell item by item and definitely go with the higher priced pallets. All as I know is this Wednesday,we don't have our palette yet. When are we getting this? Well, Amy didn't pay. Steve didn't pay.I assume Scoot was going to stop by the, uh, good. I'm the one that has to go pick up the palette,so I'll be paying for when I get there. But also, we're kind of like going over.something here that the most important part, when we getthe pallet, who's in charge of selling this to get our money?Well, we'll have to look at it and see it. No, it's notlunchbox. Exactly. It's not lunchbox and
59:07whomever it has to be paid to do it too. That's quite a promise. No, hold on. Who brought this business? You suck it getting stuff done. You didn't bring the business. No, I didn't bring the business. No, you didn't bring it. You said, what if we do this? I just paid you.I pitched it. I don't know to me. I don't want the money.I paid him. Okay.Yeah. Okay, so first of all, let's get it.
59:25Yeah. And then let's see. But when can we get it?we'll get itI don't like thatI told him I'm ready to goI'm taking my truckyou just let me know whenand let's go and it'sCan you guys go today?
59:35I'll sell itI sell stuff on Facebook marketplacetoday doesn't workNo today it doesn't work manWell scuba's gotta leaveand go to I already music festivalAnd then we do two the next dayThat's what I'm saying
59:43TomorrowSo it's next weekSo next weekOh my godThis is what he does thoughHe stalls it outHe has all our moneyAnd he stalls it out
59:49Oh noIt's not a stall tankDon't even think about gamblingWith our moneyThis is not a stall tacticThat's like he wants the moneyHe's no he's nothat we're not going to be here.
59:59Oh my gosh. Can we get it Monday of next week? We'll look at it.Depends how the weekend.I don't know what you're going to.I want money back then. No, hold on.I will.
01:00:08I want money back and I'll organize it.Oh, wow. We'll go get our own pallet.I like that.Hold on.My payment just went through to them.Request it back.If you read the vine print, no refunds.
01:00:17I need a date when you can get the palae by.I understand.I have to call the pallet.Maybe they're not open on Mondays.I don't know how they work.Let's say they're open every day.I need a date.you can get the pallet bar. We need a middleman.
01:00:27I need, no, no.Lunchbox is the middleman. When can we get the pallet? If they're open on Monday, I think we can get it Monday.Okay.If and think.A lot of things.Okay.
01:00:36Find out.Yeah, I just don't know about Scuba's gas tank on Monday.Like, is it going to be full?Shut up, dude. What are you got, I'm not the problem here.I told you I can go whenever. You just let me know.Do you need gas money?
01:00:47No, I don't need gas money.I just need him to organize this and let's go.You don't, don't ask him.I've done business with them.Ballot point. And we made so...How much money we made? No, do it for entertainment.
01:00:57It's like gambling.Do it for entertainment purposes only. All right. You guys don't understand. We're going to break upand do our own side business now.I would get it.I'd rather.
01:01:04I would sue.You can't.You don't own the business.100% if you stole my idea? It's not your idea. You don't have the palace. You don't own the palace. We can go get it ourselves.
01:01:12That's like copyright infringement. No, it's not.Okay, we're going to play this.Thank you very much, Crystal. We are motivated and we're going to go get a palletand we'll let you guys know.hopefully early next week we'll have the palette in studio.Crystal, thank you.
01:01:23Yeah, have good luck, guys. All right, bye, bye, bye. What I want to do is I want to get it.Nobody look in it, and then we open it live on the air. That's what I'm talking about.I mean, you're going to be able to see it.It's just, it's like saran, right? But you can't see what's in the middle of it, though.
01:01:36You can't see the Cadbury egg until you open to extract that chocolate, you know what I didn't even think about that.Let's go.All right. So we're going to do this. We'll play this song.Next week, Monday, Tuesday, we'll have the palette, right?Yeah.
01:01:45Yeah, May Wednesday. If, if.If we don't have it in studio or in our garage by Wednesday,I will form a new pallet company and I'll go get it.Deal? No, no deal. No, you're out then.Okay, you know what time it is.
01:02:04It's time for the news.Bobby's big.Stories.Pain medicine, not great for your mental health.Awesome.But being in pain, not great for your mental health. So what do I do?So, this
01:02:18AcetaminopinAcetamin?Yeah, thank you.Wow, that's good, Amy.I had a friend yesterday who was like,I never learned about dinosaurs. And he said, so I didn't know how to say themand he was reading to his kid about him.
01:02:30And he was like, triceratops? And I'm like, you know what? That's tough to say if you didn't hear triceratopsas a kid growing up.And remember, if somebody mispronounces something, try not to make fun of them.It means they haven't heard it.They've only probably read it.
01:02:44but he's, then all day along, we call him triceratops.Trisertips.But yeah, that's that, uh, acetaphid, how do you say it?A C, well now it's all jumbled in.Acetaminopin.Also known as Tylenol kills positive emotions of study finds. What? While Tylenol kills pain, it also stops you from seeing at times the positive side of things.
01:03:06It also may leave you feeling depressed if you've been taking it throughout the day.Iburopin has a tendency to hinder your brain's immediate ability to think positive. This is from psychological science.I have to take ibuprofen at night for my BH.It's hard to heal because you have to use it all the time. It's terrible. It's in terrible shape. And so I take ibuprofen like the big pink so I can sleep through the night because, you know, it goes to wherever the blood's like, boom, boom, rushing where the injury is.
01:03:33Maybe that's why when I go to sleep, I don't have positive sleep emotions.Oh, you're sad?I'm sad.I've said.I'm sad.Yeah, but that's what that is, though.Oh, okay.Because Tylenol is different.
01:03:44Yeah, but it says ibuprofen has a tendency to hit her your brain's immediate ability to think positively.Gotcha.Well, now I can't take any of them. What are we supposed to do?That's crazy.I thought you were talking about the hardcore ones, like the codeine, codone. Those make you exceptionally happy. That's what I thought.
01:04:01An anonymous bride. So this is the whole thing where the cake, you smash the cake in the face after you get married, you cut it and you, okay, have a bite.Smash.So she claims she left her own wedding after her husband smashes the cake in her face when she said, don't do it.And she tells the story about it.She goes,I don't want it to be done.
01:04:20I asked for it not to be done.I had a cut on my forehead because it was shoved it.So it's a whole situation. How hard of you shoved that.Exactly.And also, take the bridegroom out of the cakebefore he's shoving her face.
01:04:30That's what it sounds like, too.It sounds like that cutter. So, okay. How do we feel about the smash thing?I feel like it needs to be discussedand everybody needs to agree to it.We didn't do it.But it wasn't because she was like,
01:04:44don't do it. I was like, I don't want, I don't want to be gross. It was me. I was like, I'm wearing atuxedo. No, a suit, kind of a hybrid. And I don't want to have to like get cleaned up.So don't smash. I was that person. Don't smash the cake in my face. And I think it's okayif you have that conversation. Because you have makeup. Yeah, no. I mean, I just think, unless it's something you're really looking forward to and you've always been to weddings, you're like, can't wait to have cake snashed in my face and it's part of your wedding vibe.Okay. If not, don't do it. Yes.It seems like it would be annoying.
01:05:16You have to clean your face, clean your dress. You never know what's going to happen. You could get hurt.Lunchbox, you seem like a cake smasher. You smashed the cake.My wife didn't want it smashed, but I smashed.I'm not scared.Smash at the wedding, smash.
01:05:27Yeah, that's right.Yeah.Smash at the wedding, smash after. What I'm saying is if you can't have fun and personality in your wedding, then it's going to be a boring, long, awful marriage.Oh, well, let me tell you.You can have fun without smashing cake.Amy did you guys smash?
01:05:44The cake?Let's see, no.Exactly.I don't think so.Oh, you're saying that's like it.We didn't, we didn't either. But I think if I would have, she'd have smashed it extra hard and then probably kicked me when I'm down because she's better athlete. She'd just really proven a point.
01:05:59Throwing the whole cake on.Yeah, my wife was like, oh.She did have done a wrestling chair, boom, into my back with the cake. But yeah, yeah, yeah.So there you go.Talk about it first is what we say.Maybe she just really don't want to be with him and this is her way out.Yeah, possibly.
01:06:11A woman gave birth at a 50 cent show in Washington. That's cool. That's awesome.Page six, here's a woman recently gave birth to a daughter at the rapper's show.At the RVN Style Resort's Amphitheater in Washington State, sources say arena medics attended to a woman in the crowd who appeared to be in distress, only to discover she was in labor and too far to move.Come on.It's amazing. You got a name her 50, right?
01:06:34Yes.Curtis?It's a boy, Curtis. That's his name, maybe?Or at least middle name like Curtis.I like that name too.So a staff member said everybody get around. They did a human curtain.
01:06:44so they could stand around her so no one could see. It's what they used to do in football when they were injuries until they got the tent. They could build on the sideline. So it was a baby girl on site.Curtis is a cool girl name.Hmm?I like it for, I like, middle name.I've not heard of that.
01:07:01That's why I like it.But I guess it doesn't matter.Did 50 Cent keep performing or does he pause?No idea.Don't know.It doesn't say anything about it.If it was a big show, I bet he didn't even know.That's true.
01:07:12I was going to see if he did play by play.Or, unless he's not.he thought it was, he didn't stop because maybe it's his.Oh.Oh.Maybe it's, you know. It's possible.I don't know.
01:07:20So in the most shocking turn of events this year, the divorce war between Kevin Costner and his now ex-wife.Yeah.Is now history. They've settled. After all of that, they finally settled. How much?Well, so his obligation should be $63,000 a month. That's what he wanted.
01:07:38She wanted $248,000 a month. So they were going back and forth. And so they ended up siding with Kevin.Costner at more of that $63,000 a month range. The judge made it pretty clear the pre-nup would be enforced, and if she challenged it,she would have to repay more than the $1 million in attorney fees because she justrunning up a bill, even though they already have a pre-up, but she's still challenging it,causing him to have to pay for more lawyers.
01:08:02So the two were married for 18 years.Gosh.It's terrible.I'm surprised it's so just angry after 18 years.Because 18 years seems like a long time, even if you don't want to be together anymore,You're kind of like, I'm just tired of crap. And when I'll be together, let's make this easy. Both of them, because we don't really know the root of it.
01:08:2018 years.And so she's not going to get a $850,000 fee for even like a settlement fee.He's going to pay us $63,000 a month and that's it.DMZ has that story.63, that's $630,000.About $800,000 a year.That's pretty nice.Yeah, but I guess if you're going from a lifestyle of somebody that makes $40 million a year.
01:08:43Yeah.Way downgrade.That's a downgrade? Oh, man.Yeah.Way downgrade, man.No more pridey.How of life where they're living over there.I know.
01:08:52It's crazy.Chris Rock always says, if you could see how rich people live, you'd hate him. That's so funny. It's true.A man in Australia is suing the hospital. His wife had her C-section surgery and claiming, I felt this, that him having to see her have this surgery, caused him to have a psychotic illness.Oh, it's messed up, dude.
01:09:12Yeah.It's a crazy surgery. So, filed the lawsuit saying that it also led to a breakdown of his marriage. It was never the same sense.Really?Yeah.He alleges he was encouraged or permitted to observe the delivery that in the course of doing so,he saw his wife's internal organs and blood.
01:09:28Because of this, he claims that the hospital breached a duty of care it owed himand is liable to pay him damages. The proud dad is seeking quite the substantial amount here. The proud dad. He's seeking $642 million in damages.New York Post.See, that's when they just make themselves seem ridiculous.I mean, ask for something reasonable.
01:09:49But it's a privilege that you get to be in there. You didn't even divorce Kevin Costner, bro.Good point.Yeah.That's tough. But see, what I'm saying is like...He shouldn't get the money.First of all, let me say, I don't agree with him on that part.
01:10:01I don't have children yet.My wife is not pregnant.I'm not saying yet because she's right. She's not pregnant. But we do plan to have kids.I don't want to see any of it.And that's your choice. No, it's not.
01:10:10She's going to make me.Okay.And I'm going to sue her.Okay.That's what I was going to say. You're going to see her. She's told you, like, I'm going to make you.Well, she wants me to be in the room.Well, yeah, but that's what you need to see.
01:10:19And I'm like, let's put curtains around everything about your face.Like, I want your face, the only thing, she's like, stop being a baby.Like, just, you'll love it.Hey, natural birth, I don't know if I can see that.Oh.I've been there, man.I don't want to see any natural birth.I don't want to see any guts.
01:10:33I don't want to see, not even a baby.I don't even want to see guts. You don't want to see the baby? No, no, no.I don't want to see any, yeah, give me a year. But like, I don't like the surgeries.I don't like when football players get hurt.I don't like anything.
01:10:43Yeah, but this is bringing life, like, that you help create into the world. It's not a football injury. And then, you know what?I will take care of that life once it's in the world.I just don't want to see.I eat a lot of hot dogs, probably 20 a year.Don't have any interest to see in how that things made.Okay.
01:10:57Good point. No, you don't want to see how hot dogs are made.I don't think so either.I wonder what it is, what makes a difference in men,of those that are very fascinating and they want to see it.And then those...Perves.No.
01:11:08They're the ones that want to see it.And those that don't...Wait, you're going to be a perv.We had for years, but not just because of this. But hey, I didn't want to see it, but man, I watched it.It was pretty crazy. Was it?It was pretty awesome.
01:11:19I just don't know if I look. When that head pops out, it's like, oh!But then how can you be romantic with that part when your baby just live right? It takes a couple months, man.Yeah.For you?For you, for you to get over it?Yeah.
01:11:28It's like, mm.I'm very happy. And I'm jealous even that my wife can have a baby.Because I think she's going to be a baby.ahead of me in the bonding category. She got his nine-month advantage.I got to make that time up, but I just don't want to watch anybody's body inside of theirbody do anything.
01:11:43Okay.Some women use a mirror so they can watch themselves.Yeah, my wife did that.Purve.They're perving on themselves? It's fine.Oof.Okay.
01:11:54What do you want to?I'm sure it's fine.Birthing videos?I just want to not talk about it.I don't like it.I don't like it.I look down and not looked at you.I'm not even scared of blood.
01:12:03I just don't like guts.I don't like the body.I don't like knees going backward or blood.I don't mind horror movies.And I can be fine if somebody's bleeding.I can fix them.I'm a doctor.But other than that,
01:12:14I don't.And that C-section, man, they take the whole uterus out.The natural just comes out.Yeah.A woman names her newborn son, methamphetamine rules. No, she didn't.That's not real.Prompting a government response.
01:12:28Yeah.Yeah.This journalist, Kristen Drysdale, is currently, they say, in a newborn bliss bubble, having recently welcomed her third child with her husband,There's just one problem. Her son's legal name is methamphetamine rules. That's a problem. They let the name slip through the cracks during the submission process.
01:12:43I'm talking about the registry of births, deaths, and marriages. Now, why would she name the baby that, you ask? Why?So she was working as a TV host. She was working on a story for ABC's WT FAQ program, which aims to investigate the answers to viewers burning questions. What can I legally name my baby?So it was kind of an experiment.
01:13:02Oh.Okay.That's cool. She wasn't getting a clear answer from the government's media team. She's like, what can we name our baby? And so then she's like, all right, well, look, it's a boy. It's a little methamphetamine rules.Okay, so she's changing it.
01:13:15Yeah, for sure.I would think so.Okay.Or a little meth-y.That's funny. In the New York Post, yeah. You know, this woman that gets kicked off the plane, and she declares she's Instagram famous.
01:13:26She's hot.I think it's all set up.I think this was totally set up.By?By her, by them.So I'm going to give you the story.A woman has gone viral. Her name is Morgan Osmond getting kicked off a plane.
01:13:39She's cursing at passengers. She noticed one of them's recording on her phone. She goes, film me.I'm Instagram famous. So, again, she's in like a skin tight suit. She's like some kind of Instagram model. She's pretty. And I saw it, and I was like, boy, this just seems a little too perfect.
01:13:55And then I was watching one of the guys from Barstool on TikTok last night, and he was like, there's no way this is real. And I kind of agreed with them that it was just a way for her to get Instagram followers. But I'll play you this. And we could be wrong. But here you go.Here is the clips. It's heavily beeped, by the way.
01:14:23The acting's pretty good, though, I will say. That's really good. It's real.Hey, Mikey, what do you think about this?Do you think it's real or set up?I think it's real. You do?I can be convinced because the acting is really good.
01:14:33I think she does it knowing that this is going to go viral.Like, she went on the plane with a plan to, hey, I'm going to get kicked off.Exactly.Skin tight.Like, it looks like Kim Kay.You're trying to be noticed. For her viral moment. She doesn't look good.
01:14:44She was dressed up, makeup done, hair perfect, everything. She knew she was getting it.She booked that plane ticket.knowing she was going to get kicked off.Gosh, that's quite the risk to, like, ground yourself, basically. She might not be able to fly again, all for a video. And then finally, Elon Musk wants to charge all users a monthly feeto use Twitter slash X.
01:15:02I'm out.The reason is, even if it's like a nickel a month,is because if you charge even a nickel, you're not going to have people having all these bots and fake accounts. And that's really what's plaguing Twitter. That's from CNBC.That's the news.Stories.
01:15:22A win is a win.A win is a win.I don't care what you're saying.Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.You might have seen the skits, the reactions,my journey from basketball to college football,or my career in sports media.Well, somewhere along the way,

And some of thesegments, if they're just straight intros, Amy and I will read and we'll do it, what is today,Wednesday. So it'll air all over the country. And it's a package show. So it's all recorded, but we have guests. We do the countdown. The top 30 sucks. Come up to have the country.
01:18:22It's out of 30. But when I do a spotlight artist of the week, which I get to pick,And so it's a national show, and I picked Spotlight Artist, and it's somebody usually that's new or somebody that's back.Something that's new that's not getting played on the radio.Someone that's good.Someone you want to highlight.I agree.I'm setting it all up here because it's probably not this weekend's, but next weekend. Our Spotlight Artist is one of my favorite new artist, Abby Lee Anderson.
01:18:45Oh, yeah. And hey, their hometown. And while we were recording a couple of those segments during that last commercial break, Lunchbox was walking out.And I was like, our Spotlight Artist is Abby Lee Anderson. And he stopped and wanted to yell in the middle of the kind of the kind of the camera.countdown? I almost did.Because he was so triggered?I heard it and I was like, that can't be, but I walked away.
01:19:02I just said, you know what? I'm not going to interrupt the countdown because I'm not part of the countdown and I don't want to.But, geez, you guys have stooped on an all new low.So our three segment one.Hey, thanks for being here this weekend. As we count down the biggest songs in country music, we're about to get into the top 15.But before we do, we have a very special spotlight artist. Her name is Abby Lee Anderson. She wrote her first original song about her hometown in Wichita.
01:19:26on her journey from leaving there to move to Nashville to chase her music dreams. When she released it, it debuted in the top 60 on the iTunes chart. And here she is.The first time on the countdown, Abby Lee Anderson, our spotlight artist of the week with Hey There,Hometown. So that's the segment.I just did that live, but you're going to hear that on the countdown.Abby, let's go.
01:19:45That was really cool. How do you feel?Amazing.Like what? That's going to be awesome.I know.Thank you for doing that. It's a good song.
01:19:51If it was a bad song, Abby, I wouldn't do it.I promise.We do it as a dumb bit, and it'd be like, that's fun.The song's good.I really like it, I will say.Aside from what it's about and you're writing it, it's just,it's catchy.It's like an earworm.
01:20:07It's in my head anytime I hear it for at least an hour.Woo, which time you'll always be home to me.Lunchbox, you have to admit the song is catchy.I've already said that those guys did a great job writing it.They did.Is there anything else you can say, though? You said that three times. You know, like Garth Brooks didn't write a lot of his songs.
01:20:26And they were all really good.Or if he did, he's a writer and he had an idea. And then that's the same deal. But I'm saying like you guys are putting all this love on Abby.If she was just a normal person, like if she was just someone that's not.But that's correct.Because also with Abby, without her, the song wouldn't exist. But also, we love Abby.
01:20:42And she's part of our group and you take care of your own.And then if they do a really good job, you double you take care of that.Yeah.But you're right.Which is why Lunchbox is going to love that. She's also being featured on Women of I Heart Country.Oh.I know one listens to that one.
01:20:55Okay.That was rude.R-U-D-E, rude.Yeah, thanks, rude.Oh, I'm just being real.You're just what?Being real.It's a national show as well.
01:21:04I'm pretty sure it's on more stations than the show you're on.Yeah, you're right.You're right, because there's not a guys of I heart country.There is.It's called country.Let's just play.The song's only like two.No, we're not playing it now.
01:21:18No, stop. Please stream it, download it, drive lunchbox crazy.Abby, it's also a good song.I promise.I'm not just doing this because, because if you were, recorded it, we'd have played it once and been done with it. I promise.Okay. Here is Abby LeeAnderson. Hey there, Home
01:21:31Down, Bobby Bone Show.Hey there, hometown. How you've been since I rolled out.I still remember it all fromthe playground to everyFriday night like touchdown.I always had a dream to see.Mom and dad said I can be anything.
01:21:58So I live for TennesseeBut you're still right here with meYou'll always this crazy townI was looking for someone and finally foundA good one back in my stomping roundsYou'll always be able toOn a you, you're tallYou'll always be home to me
01:23:47I miss youSo Bobby Boom Show OneThere she is, Avi Lee.Hang, that was cool.I just went to the hallway to listen. That's catchy as crap.Good job, Abby.Hey, by the way, we're going to Vegas this weekend for our Iheart Radio music festival,
01:24:22and it'll be on Hulu, which is really cool Friday and Saturday night. Is Abby playing? No.Big announcement.Hilarious.Oh, my gosh. But what's funny about Abby is Abby wanted to give everybody a heads up.In this studio, everybody that's going to Vegas, even like our peers that may be listening to our show that are going to Vegas.
01:24:39Or maybe if you just run into these guys there, the heads up is don't go to,go eat with lunchbox and Eddie? Yes. If you go eat with them, like be prepared because when I went andate with them last year in Vegas, we went to Javier's and it's a Mexican restaurant. It's reallyexpensive. And we only get so much per day, right? Like per diem to eat? Yes. I think it's 90.And that's when in Vegas, that's not a lot. And so I always kind of watch what I get. I was likechicken and chaladas and like one drink. Okay. These guys decide to go all out and get all the appetizers, like two drinks each. Eddie got like steak.something. And then guess what they do at the end? They're like, let's just split it evenly.
01:25:17And I was like, what? So then it made me go over my allotted, you know, amount for the day in one meal becausewe're being responsible. Yes. And making sure you had money for the whole day. But they ran yourwhole bill up. Yes. Abby, Abby, when was dinner? When? Yeah, the end of the day. We hadn't eaten.Exactly. We had just gotten there actually. But it was still over. But do you think? But do you thinkit's fair to split when you guys obviously when you're in a group you just split likeI mean that's not if one person only gets like a small salad if you want to be the etiquette loser andbe like oh guys actually I only got a water and you got a soda or you know what I mean like get out ofthat if it's a drastic difference we told her to get a margarita you two should have split
01:26:00yeah she didn't want it you should have just paid for also yeah you should have just paid for herI mean you both make more money than she does okay you make more than me Amy you don't always payfor me we don't always pay for Abby but once isn't thatLet's go.Yeah, they never. What are we talking about? Also. You also make a good living lunchbox.
01:26:19Well, she makes a good living too.She got two cars. She has no kids.Yeah.I got four kids.Hold on.You got two cars?Yeah.
01:26:26Exactly.There's about this.Hey, I kept my old. You're rich rich.I am not.She says she's just been smart with her money.Right.And I got no kids.
01:26:35Why do you have two cars?Thank you.Well, because I wouldn't get anything because I still had my 2006 Camry. And then I bought a newer car.And I was like,Like, why not have an extra if you need it?Like, that's how I grew up.So, but you had, it was all the way paid off and you didn't need to trade it in?
01:26:50Right.I wouldn't get anything for my Camry. So there was no trade in value, so you just kept it.Right.Yes.So it's like, what if my other car doesn't start? Then I can drive my, this car.I mean, I hear you.
01:27:00And if I have a visitor come in town, they can drive my car, you know. He's got two houses, too.Do you know that?Old two cars over there. And Eddie, why don't you pay for her?Okay, okay. No, it's nothing.I don't have kids.
01:27:11Exactly.That's why you can beg me.You are making my argument for me.Guys, thank you. This turn around and you go all around my side.Thank you.Backfired.No, the point.
01:27:22Yeah.It work? She brings up something that happened last year.Come on.Well, because we're going back to Vegas. She was like, she just told us.She goes, hey, heads up.Don't go eat with them.
01:27:30They'll run the bill up and make you pay for a third of it.And he makes it awkward with the waiters.Don't worry. He asked the waiter, dude.So what time you get off, man? What time you go to bed?Why do you ask?We ate at midnight.
01:27:38So I was like, man, what's your shift?I'm curious. That was weird. The guy felt like Eddie was hitting on him?No, for sure.100%.He said, actually I just got here.I'm working all night.
01:27:49That's crazy. You tap his foot.It was down below, yeah.He was like, hey, look down here, man.Oh, no.Okay, thank you.Abby, great job on the song, by the way.Thank you.
01:27:56Super proud of you.And which car are you going to take to the airport, man.Yeah, that's crazy.I don't know how to feel.Oh, two cars over there.Yeah.I don't.How's that weird?
01:28:04It's not weird.It's not weird.It's not weird.It's not weird.It's not weird.Okay.It's cool.It's cool.
01:28:08If you saved up and you didn't want to trade it in and it still works, good for you. That's responsible. It's just, I have, I don't know, you have two cars.I felt like you should be able to afford half years, you know. That's two automobiles.No.She's got two cars on your insurance. We'll come right back.
01:28:23From Newsweek, a baby born with 26 fingers and toes is being held as a Hindu goddess.I'm glad at least it's this way than the other way.Oh.Like, do I really think she's a Hindu goddess? No, can't prove she's not, but I don't think she is.And, but I'm glad it's that.rather than like what they probably would have done with her 50 years ago.Yeah.
01:28:40Put it on a side show.Yeah.They're like, check out the baby. So, like, if we got to pick, I like this.Maybe the kid will have a better life than being treated like a freak show. How many of each again? So a baby has been born with seven fingers on each hand, six toes on each foot.So all in all is 26 instead of 20.
01:28:59Whoa.I'm sure. You can surgically remove if they want it.Not if you're a Hindu goddess.Oh.You don't do that. What if that makes you really good at sports?True.
01:29:08Well, there are instances of a couple people with extra thumb, like thumb.Really? Also look at my thumb, ready?Boom, who can go extra back in case I ever need to?Oh, I can't do that.Thumb something? What does that make you?Well, in the Olympic thumbing event, I was always really good.
01:29:22Mine bends back as like a...You have a double joint at thumb or something?Yeah. But you know what?I'm glad they're looking at her in a positive way, not in a negative.Or making the family feel weird.Like, oh, you must have done something.bad to God and now God gives you a baby with
01:29:3726 total finger. Yeah. Yeah, couldyou imagine that here? If they went to school with thoseon their fingers, all those fingers, people would be making funthem hardcore.Well, maybe not the baby right then.Later in life. Yeah, later if they still hadit. Yeah, right then. Um, okay, something I wanted to talk about was the new iPhone for a second.
01:29:54Because the new iPhone, you could start ordering itmaybe Friday of last week. I did not, although I need to, my screen is cracked. And I purposelynot got a new phone because I wasn't going to get anothertwo generation back phone. But Morgan has all the updatesand some of the cool stuff that you can do.Morgan, walk me through some of these new iPhone updates
01:30:12that's the new iPhone or it's the new operating systemthey came out with.Yeah, so if you have an iPhone 10 or higher, you can have this, I believe. So if someone doesn't answer your FaceTime, you can record a video right thenand send it to them instead of like leaving a message. So the new iOS lets you send a video
01:30:29FaceTime message. That's cool.Which is pretty cool. You're going to love that.So the new phone's going to have.have it already built in and it's going to runthe new iOS a lot easier. If you have an old phoneit's going to be a little harder to run it, but yes,
01:30:40you can still download the update, okay?So you can name drop is what they're calling it.You just put your phone next to somebody else's phoneit'll share contact info. But you can't like still name drop.Like let's say Eddie had somebody's number I wanted.I can't just lay it, download itand sneak off. I don't believe so yet.
01:30:56The hackers might figure that one out there. You can make custom posters for yourcontacts. So if you want to choosedifferent fonts, different colors, you can makelook all pretty for a contact in your phone.Oh, MySpace, that happened.I got in trouble. It was just too much.
01:31:09Everybody was creating everything. All your front pages were different.Viruses everywhere. So what do you mean?Like, if I pull up Amy,because Amy's one of my main ones I have savedthat stay on the top,if I pull that up,
01:31:23her whole text screenthat we text back and forth is different?Or just my circle. It's just the circle. So it's like if she calls you,you can choose what the font is of her name, what color is.Got it, got it, got it.
01:31:34You can basically make it look really pretty. That's fine.If you'd like to.She's already so pretty, I can't do anymore. My phone will explode.Bobby's already comes pre.Like, you uploaded your own photo that everybody just gets.Yeah, it's like a press picture.
01:31:46Right.How about everybody shut up?Okay. Is that a bad thing?I'm not a nice, warm glasses.Shut up.You're in an award show or something?Hey, how about it?
01:31:54Well, my wife gives me a hard time because she's like, why is your Uber Eats a press photo?Yeah. And I was like, I don't know. They said, put a picture.I'm not going to put an ugly one up.So I'm going to put this one.Peloton picture when I ride. It's like me on a red carpet.
01:32:08Why? Why?Okay, what else? The widgets, like if you choose to have a widget on your home screen or anything, they'renot interactive. So you can like, if you put a calendar on there, you can now cross something off the calendar.Okay, my daughter put a bunch of widgets on my phone once and it slowed everything down.I like saying that word.Yeah, I don't like that word.
01:32:27Widget?Yeah, it almost sounds like midget.No.Yeah, but you shouldn't say that word.Don't say it.But that's why, maybe that's why.We don't use that word.Okay, I had not thought of that.
01:32:37But I guess widget just sounds like a word I wouldn't use.I don't think they have another name though.I don't either.I don't even know what is it?It's like an app. It's like an interactive piece.Like a widget is something that you can add onto your phone that just makes utilizing your phone easier.I have a like the widget, the Twitter widget on my laptop on the bottom of the screen.
01:32:58Like it like this is my home screen.Like I deleted the widget, but it was this calendar that popped up on the front.and I could just change things about itand it had crazy fonts and whatnot.Maybe that's why I don't sayI don't like widget because I like the M word.Yeah, of course. That we're not supposed to use anymore.
01:33:12I say we get rid of the W word too.No.I'm done.Same widget.I call it a wiggler.I can change it.It's too close. All right, what else?
01:33:20So if somebody calls youand they leave a voicemail,it will actually live voicemail it backso you can see what they're sayingas it's happening. It'll show up on your phone screen. So when I ignore Amy's callbecause she wants to talk for an hour, right?
01:33:31and I know I don't have time to talk,so I hit the no can answer block. And she starts to leave a voicemail. It'll like write it out as it's happening.Yep, you can see it literally as she's leaving the message.Wow.That's cool. That's fun.
01:33:44Mm-hmm.It's like the bubble. How much will it write?Okay, we don't need to ask that.Okay, Amy.We don't need to ask that. All right, what else? You can take a piece of a photo and turn it into a sticker.
01:33:54So like all you do is like hold down on the subject of a photo and choose the option. The subject, you mean like the person in it?Yeah.Like, say it's a picture.you and you hold down youand then you hit add sticker and then it'llselect you as a sticker so anytime you want to textpeople you can just send a little
01:34:09sticker of yourself to them. This is going to be usedfor bullying for sure. What?Like a dumb picture where I'm like, I lookdumb. Look at this and then you send it to other people.Oh, you're talking about us. Bullying you.I thought you made kids. Well, that too. It's like a bully is a strongword. But is a sticker? Is it a sticker though?
01:34:26Yeah, no. You pick on your friends.Strong words. Yes. It's not to people like you're so meanThey're so mean to Bobby, they're so mean to Amy.Guys, if we weren't super close, we couldn't do this. We'd never be able to work together. You guys bully me sometimes. You need to shut up.Now you're minimizing people that are really getting bullied.
01:34:41That's right. But is a sticker one of those things?Because there's like a thing where you make a cartoon in your head. No, those have a different name. Those are cool. Those are called Memojis.Yeah, so that's not a sticker? No, so like a sticker, like I did one of my dog and now I have like a sticker, legit of my dog.
01:34:57It's just a picture.It's a cut out picture, right?Yeah, essentially.It's like a little pop-up.up.You can do it of anything.Go ahead.Anything else?
01:35:04And then there's standby mode.So it turns your phone into an alarm clock.Basically, if you sit it on a stand next to your bed and you turn it to the side, big numbers will pop up and it'll function as an alarm clock.I love that. And it'll stay up instead of having to touch it to see what time it is.That's amazing.Which I do a lot.
01:35:19I'm like, oh, I'd have to wake up now.Touch it.1245.Okay, I got two hours left.Is that kind of thing? Now I can just open my eyes and go, oh, God, I got two hours left without touching it.So, okay, there you go.Thank you, Morgan.
01:35:30Appreciate that.Bobby Bones ShowBone HeadNorrie of the dayThis story comes to usfrom Phoenix, ArizonaThere was a pickup truckon the highway
01:35:40swerving back and forthWayne to laneAnd police are likeAll right let me pull that overWoo wooAnd they saidN uhStarted to gun it
01:35:48Leading him on a chaseWhen they finally got it to pull overIt was a 10 year old kidIn the driver seatWhoaDad in the passenger seatOh noYou can't make that switch though
01:35:56Like okay readyOne two 30 goYeah the car's still movingBut alsoYou're so swerving until the cops to you,but then you're able to, like, run a perfect chase.Yeah.Without swerving.
01:36:08Pressure's on.I guess some people have played better under the lights. You're not teaching your kid to drive at 10, right? No, I think it's...No, I'm assuming it's a desperate situation. Was he drunk?Did it say, like, I've had too much to drink? You drive.
01:36:20I've read those.Yeah, there was an open container of alcohol. But was it the 10-year-olds?Because you never know a story like this.Yeah, that's super dangerous. You think the dad's like,Oh, there are the cops.Go.
01:36:33Oh, yeah.For sure.Instead of pull over.You think the 10-year-old'sgoing to outrun cops?No.No, but if you've been drinking,you think there's a chance.
01:36:40I never been drinking, though,so that's why I don't think of the chance.Okay, is that it?I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day.McDonald's is being suedafter a woman in her 80sallegedly sustained severe burns
01:36:52from a scalding cup of coffee. This was a huge thing in the 80s, too, right?Like early 90s.And was refused to help by store employees.I need to hear more about thisbecause I feel like if you just spill coffee on you, that's you.Sometimes you do the you thing and you shouldn't be able to sue because it's you.But she had burn marks on her like legs.
01:37:09Right.It's like that the rest. But you do you want the coffee cold?Yeah, no.Oh my God.There should be a responsible temperature and also making sure the lid is secure. But you, okay.Hold on.
01:37:18Well, it's, but isn't it up to, isn't it up to, isn't it up to, no, you don't hold it upside down, Ed?You know how Derek Queen does it.You're never going to hold a coffee upside down.Isn't it kind of up to you to grab a coffee that's secure?Like, you check it before you put it up to your mouth?and you're like an employee who work in a McDonald's,you're not going to trust them with your life anywhere else. Why would you?
01:37:34Just check the lid.Let me read the story.I just saw the headline I wanted to grab it for the end of the show here.So according to court documents, the woman,Mabel Childress filed the lawsuit. The legal action claims that the employees of the San Francisco locationbreached their duty of care after failing to secure a coffee cup lidthat she purchased the drive-thru.
01:37:51How do we know that she didn't just squeeze the cup a little bit too and the lid go off?Great point.Like where is?And I know she's in her 80s.And that also was like, how do we, how does she even know? What? Some people are very clearheaded.Some.
01:38:04Very few.She says that she attempted to report the incident to three employees, including managers, that it caused her to suffer severe burns, scarring, and emotional distress. The lawsuit claims that all three ignored and refused to help her until she seek treatment for injuries. She is, oh, well, she's doing for $25,000 bucks.I just pay her.Yeah.McDonald's?
01:38:27Oh, McDonald's.Oh, McDonald's going to just draw this out.she'll expire. So she'll die for like, what, five more years? You would think to Sue McDonald's your legal fees would be more than that. She is listing as an unlimited civil case that could exceed $25,000.So I guess it could be more than that.Maybe it's a category of civil cases that are over $25,000.
01:38:47Quote, my restaurants have strict food, safety protocols in place, including training crew to ensure lids on hot beverages and they're secure. We take every customer complaint seriously. We're reviewing. Our skin might be fragile. But isn't it up to, unless the person actually, dumps it on you, isn't it up to you, if somebody working at a restaurant hands you something, isn't it up to you to check the lid?
01:39:05Yeah.I don't know.I'm kind of team her because as a former drive-thru worker at Dunkin' Donuts, one of the things we had to double-check those lids, man.Right, and great. But if you didn't, do you want to get sued?Or if you did double-check and they still squeeze the cup and spill coffee on themselves,do you deserve to get sued?It would take an exceptionally strong squeeze to pop that lid off from the cup?
01:39:27No, it does it.No.Yeah, those things clip on.You're out of your mind.Coffee lids clip on, like, really good. They're not like the little Coke lids. We're just not, we don't care about personal responsibility anymore. We always try to blame it on everybody else.
01:39:39But what if you, like, go to sip the coffee and the lid just opens. They still check it before you put it up to your mouth. That's tough, dude. No, it's not.I would be really mad at that. It's not hard to check a lid.I think that's suable. It's, you just want to sue.
01:39:51It's not hard to check a lid. It's not like if you're at a...Once it's in your possession, it's up to have possession of it.And you, you...If they dumped it on you or they spilled it, oh, spilled it.And it spilled on your legs. And that's on them. They did that hot.
01:40:04It burns you.But if they hand you the cup and you, once it's in your possession, the lid comes off or it spills on you or that's on you.We got to stop suing for crap unless it's their fault.I probably wouldn't sue because I just don't feel like I'm not a litigious person. But I don't think it's all on us.Like I think it starts at the.I don't.You don't.
01:40:28Nope.Once you get it, it's your responsibility to make sure that everything is okay. The lid's on.Once it's handed to you, it's your property. So if you buy a can of paint, you put it in the back of your car and you get home and there's paint all over the back of your car. That's on you?Yeah. It actually is.
01:40:43No, there's just to hammer that down.I didn't check the lid.I didn't check the lid.I don't know. This is the dumbest thing I ever heard.Wait, what if it's too full? You know, that's not your, like, that's their fault. But how you're going to prove it?
