Hey, what's happening?
Welcome to Wednesday show.
Morning studio.
Morning.
Hey, just a little tip.
911, not a joke.
Probably shouldn't call it unless it's a real emergency.
And you don't like the president.
Okay, we get it.
That's probably not the place to call 911 and let them know
because they'll get you put in jail.
Pinellas County man who called 911
to say that President Joe Biden needed to be placed in jail
was arrested himself and put him jail himself.
Oh, my goodness.
Jacob, Philebeck 29,
was arrested for calling 911 dispatchers
to say that El Chott needed to be freed from prison.
and President Biden needed to be placed in prison.
Oh my gosh.
By the way, L. Chops like a murder.
Yeah, no, no, no.
El Chapo?
Yeah.
Do you think that's what it is?
El Chop?
I assume that's what we're calling him for short.
So then he called again because they said, hey, this is an emergency line.
Don't call, click.
Then he called again said the same thing, so then they arrested him.
You just can't misuse 911.
Right.
That's the general story there.
I thought when you first started this story, I thought you were to say lunchbox called 911 again.
Oh, he does all the time, but he calls it for real reasons.
Real reasons.
I mean, domestic disturbances, fires, car wrecks.
Neighbors having graduation parties.
Yeah, exactly.
They boked to COVID.
During COVID.
That still is the most caring thing anyone on the show has ever done.
Ever.
No.
All right, we're glad you were here.
You know, we have a new segment that it's tough for me to decide on these
because I know they're just not going to be that entertaining.
But we have something now to set it up.
Go ahead, Ray.
The Bobby Bone Show talks about something boring.
So boring.
All right, Amy, go ahead with your egg thing you want to talk about.
Well, I was buying eggs, and I noticed something on a carton that I haven't ever noticed before,
and it was outdoor access.
Like, the chickens that laid these eggs have outdoor access.
And I thought, well, I've heard of cage-free, and what does outdoor access mean?
And so I spent time researching, and it means that they have access to an outdoor area.
All right.
That's just, no.
It's so boring.
We shut it down.
Thank you.
It defines it.
these chickens they get eight hours outside.
That's the minimum.
So like they can't be defined as outdoor access
unless they've roamed for eight hours.
And some chickens they get to row.
No, that's the rule.
We do it, but you have to shut it down
when the buzzer shut you off.
Everybody went back to sleep.
I know this is stuff nobody cares about,
but it's just next time you go to the store, you'll know.
But you told it. We got it all.
Okay, what is outdoor access?
They have eight hours to go out to you.
Now you know, because I completed it.
You cut me off.
I don't think I've ever seen that on a cart and
Yeah, look for it now.
Okay.
The Bobby Bone Show talks about something boring.
So boring.
Thank you, Amy.
Let's get started with the show here.
See, it's hard to find those.
But the rule is, it would never make the air unless we play that ahead of it.
But you have to stop talking when it buzzes.
Myself included.
Okay.
Myself included.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
All right, it's time to open up the mailbag.
You send an email and we read it all the air.
It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag.
Hello, Bobby Bones.
I've been seeing this girl for about three months.
And honestly, she's great.
She's funny.
She's witty.
She's always up for a good time.
That being said, recently we spent the night together for the first time.
And around 4 o'clock in the morning, I woke up to her peeing the bed.
What?
I woke her up and she was super apologetic about it, but she didn't seem to embarrass.
She admitted that she struggled with a bed wedding into her mid-teens,
and now she does it occasionally when she drinks.
Why are you shaking your head already?
No, it's over.
That's a deal breaker. See you later.
Like, I mean, you might be a great woman.
You may be, it's over.
Like, the minute I find out you're peeing the, okay, and I can't help it,
I'm not attracted to you anymore.
Can't help it.
Let me finish it. Let me finish it.
Oh, my gosh.
Back to the email.
I understand that some people just can't hold their liquor as well as others,
and I also understand that people have certain issues they can't control.
I certainly don't want to embarrass her.
Shame her, but it seems to me if she knows,
that she does this when she gets drunk,
maybe she should stop getting drunk.
There you go.
Like I said, she's super fun and this doesn't seem to bother her.
Am I wrong for letting it bother me?
I don't want to call it off over something so trivial,
but it just feels like a lack of good judgment on her part.
Also, she didn't say anything beforehand.
If she knew this was a problem,
I think I should have gotten a heads up.
Should I ignore it or say something?
Signed, can't go with the flow.
Okay, okay, buddy.
Since you've already raised your hand,
lunchbox and speaking out, I'll let you go first.
Yeah, this guy, there's nothing trivial about it.
Like, I mean, try walking up to her while she's cooking dinner
and just pee on her leg. See how she likes it.
But that's not...
No, no, just say, I can't help it.
You know what I mean? When I see food, I have to pee.
But you can.
I'm sorry, but this is not trivial.
There is nothing wrong with saying goodbye
because she pees on you at night.
I guess the question is, how much do you like her?
Not enough.
We're not talking about you.
How many mattresses you get to buy?
I mean, she has to have like a kid mattress pad.
Like, that's so good.
Gross. Out. I would say
this obviously bothers you email her.
Mr. Kent can't go to flow. It bothers you.
It's how much does it bother you? And I think it's
getting a heads up next time. I don't know that I would
let this one time run the whole thing. I think if she just does it all
willy-nilly and she's not really taking care of herself
and she's just peeing every day all night, that's a problem.
I think though if she, oh, sorry this happened. This does happen.
and you'd be like, oh, cool, just let me know next time.
We'll make sure to...
Wear my swimsuit.
Something.
I mean, I don't think it's worth breaking it off if you do really like her.
If you're looking for a reason, sure, you have one now.
If you're looking for a reason.
But I don't think someone's medical condition is reason enough to break up with them,
although it is kind of gross.
Would you stay with them?
Yeah.
You would?
If it's once and it was like, oh, man, I messed up.
By the way, for now on, this is what happens to me if I do blank.
I could live with that and I would help
monitor that.
But it would be tough.
Tonight we're going to drink, all right?
I'll be sleeping in the guest room.
All right, wrap yourself in a tarp.
All right, let's do some shots.
If you're looking for my answer,
go with the flow,
but go with the flow conditionally
that she can't do that anymore
and you have to help her.
Check in before you go to sleep.
Okay?
That's what I say.
No reason to dump her for this.
Thank you for the email. That's tough, though.
Oh, man.
It's tough to get it out of a bed, though, too.
Yeah.
Just, my dog would sleep with me in the bed.
He'd actually pee sometimes.
It would take forever to get that stuff out of the bed.
I'd do all kinds of different ways.
There's definitely a solution, though.
There are adult diapers.
If you're going to drink.
Oh, can you imagine you put on her?
Hey, man.
They're like, depend, like, pull-ups.
Yeah, do what you got to do, right?
Which is grosser.
Her wearing adult diapers to bed every night that she drinks or her peeing once out of every 10 episodes.
I think dealing with a wet bed is worse than wearing a bag.
Okay.
Stay with her.
Don't let this ruin it unless you're looking for a reason out already.
All right, that's the mailbag.
Thank you.
Close it up.
We've got your email and we've read it on the air.
Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag.
Yeah.
Let's go over and talk to Shaney in Oklahoma City who's on the phone right now.
Hey, good morning.
Good morning.
What's happening?
You know, I was, I've been listening to you guys.
the last couple of days talk about you getting your doctorate.
And I keep giggling at lunchbox because he is so frustrated with you getting that degree.
But this is also the man that the most work he puts into making it to be a millionaire is buying lottery tickets.
So, I mean, one day he may be a millionaire.
But then he's just going to be surrounded by a bunch of people that are going to look at him and go, well, what did he do for that money?
Well, it's also, is he ever going to win the lottery?
Yeah, at least I did something to get the, to win the lottery.
I had to put in hours of effort and go to the gas station and spend my own money.
Bobby was just given something.
But in hours and hours of effort working and contributing that they said here is this honorary degree.
Actually, way more than you putting in money into the lottery.
I mean, I worked.
And you did nothing with the lottery.
It's just you spending money.
So the lottery should give me an honorary doctorate.
That would be nice.
I love it.
That would be great.
I encourage that.
Ask them.
Yes.
I don't think they can give doctors or an honorary winning check.
I mean, how money would that be?
Honorary millionaire.
You're an honorary millionaire.
That would be awesome, and I'd sign up for that.
Okay, we're going to play a game.
Would you like to play, Shaney?
Absolutely, I'm done.
Okay, what we're going to do is, if Amy wins this game for you, you want a $50
Sonic Gift card.
Now, Shane, you can play too, but it's a listening game, and I'm not sure how good your phone connection is.
So Amy's going to play.
You guys can talk about it.
Now, we've been playing some of these ASMR videos.
They get millions of views on YouTube.
And so it's where someone goes,
okay, now I'm going to comb my hair.
And they comb their hair real close to a microphone
and you hear that sound.
And apparently people like it.
Weird, but okay.
I've got three clips of these ASMR people eating something.
Amy, you have to guess what they're eating.
Okay.
Cool.
Okay, this first one is from ASMR fan.
The video has 2.8 million views.
Let's see if you can guess what they're eating.
I feel like it's cereal,
Because it does, I mean, it could be a chip.
Could be chips.
But I feel like chips have a different type of crunch, and that's more like...
Would you like to hear it again?
But maybe I'm getting too specific, yes.
Here it is one more time.
How people listen to this stuff for like their enjoyment?
I don't know.
I feel like it, if it's cereal, it's dry cereal, and then I feel like that's too specific.
So, it's probably chips.
Is chips your answer?
Yes.
Amy says chips.
The answer is...
Chips.
Nice.
All right, number two, can you guess what they're eating?
That, I think that's an apple.
You want to hear it again?
Sure, why not?
Yeah.
What a bite.
Apple.
An apple is, correct.
Again.
And then here we go, one final one.
That is wet cereal.
That is a cereal.
You got all three, three for three.
And so, Shaney, you win a $50 gift card to Sonic.
Nice job.
Amy, good job, three for three.
Now, Amy, what am I eating?
Hair.
That's error. That's correct. Yeah, very good.
We found Amy's, like her secret power. She can hear anything being eaten and name it.
Nice job, Shaney. Congratulations. Thank you for listening and thanks for playing. We'll hang on the phone, okay?
Thank you.
It's time for the good news.
It's Bobby. Tell me something good.
This is one of those stories where a police officer's work is never done, even if they're off the clock.
There is a police officer in Georgia. The town's called Woodstock, and he saved a two-year-old.
boy. His name's Officer Dixon. He's
off of work. He's driving
home and he has the radio one.
Like, hey, if anybody's near, he'd give a destination,
he's like, well, I can go. I'm off the clock, but I'll go.
So he drives over to the scene,
and this woman said her son had started vomiting after they got home from daycare,
and he stopped breathing. Now, I don't know why he stopped breathing,
maybe throw up in his throat, but
he got there, and he immediately
began CPR on the two-year-old.
I don't want to say brought the kid back to life,
but the kid then showed
life again. And so, as
eyes opened and then gravity all hit where then things that stuff came out of him but if he hadn't
been driving near there and had his radio on even though he was off work and then got there so
quickly the kid probably wouldn't have lived so she says that this officer is her son's guardian angel
I think that's pretty cool it just says officer dixon I wish to know his first name so we'll just make
one up officer clint dixon let's just try let's try mark dixon mm-hmm barry uh could be barry
Dixon. Is it too much to say Dick Dixon? Oh, I love Dick Dixon. That'd be a good one.
Whoever you are, Officer Dixon, appreciate you being a police officer and risking your life
every day and also saving this kid. That's an awesome story. That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good. On the phone is Christy, who lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
Christy, good morning. Thank you for calling.
Good morning, studio. Good morning. Do you feel like you know the show pretty well, Christy?
I hope I do. Well, we're going to give you.
a chance to win here. We're going to play
Bobby Bone Show trivia. Now I'm going to give you
a couple options.
You can just get four
out of seven. If you choose that, you'll be
competing for a $50 Sonic gift card
and a Beanie Baby of
your choice. Yeah, back
behind me. Or
if you want to say I can get at least six,
a $100
Sonic gift card. I need him.
He's not hype me. Oh.
Wow. Two beanie babies of your choice.
Yes. But that means you'll always.
Miss one. That's right.
All right, Christy, what are you thinking here?
I don't know. You're making me so nervous.
You can go for four, go for four and get the 50-bought gift card and the one beanie baby.
You know, that's what.
Yeah, yeah. Play it's safe, you know. Life is made by playing it's safe, yeah.
Okay. Is it going to be things that you talked about in the last three days because I'm a podcast listener and I have not heard anything since last Tuesday?
No, it's stuff you can know.
You should know if you listen to the show regularly, but no, nothing super timely.
Go big.
All right.
I'll go big.
That's right.
But you can only miss one, and I can't give you a prize if you lose.
I'm going to let you take it back if you want to.
No, I'll go big.
All right, let's go.
She needs to get six.
She can only miss one.
Seven questions.
Who is the youngest member on the show?
Oh, that would be Morgan number two.
That is correct.
Nice job.
Morgan number two are youngest.
I know you don't like the number two part.
That's the gate.
That's it.
All right, next up.
She is a big fan.
She said she didn't like Morgan number two.
She's like Morgan.
Good.
Okay, who has the most kids on the show and how many?
The most kids would have to be Eddie with four.
That's correct.
Wow.
That's good job, good job.
All right, all right.
Technically right.
Graduation or only clap at the completion.
Okay.
Yeah, it just gets kind of corny.
Yeah, yeah.
All right, there's two.
Amy's son is currently involved in what Japanese martial art?
Taekondel?
I don't know. I know that he just had his first competition that you went to and he got second place, but it was only two kids.
We don't mention that one more. Can I clarify?
I don't think so. No. No, no. There's no help. No help. Is it Jiu Jitsu?
I just need to answer? So you said a couple things.
I don't know the difference, to be honest. That's not my fort.
Amy's son is. I'll say Jiu Jitsu. Yeah. Are you sure?
No.
Is that your answer?
That's work.
Jiu Jitsu.
Jujitsu is correct.
Wow.
Sorry, I know.
I'm not supposed to clap.
Congratulations rules.
Sorry.
Sorry.
Jiu Jitsu is correct.
You're three for three.
Amy's son go six days a week now to Jiu Jitsu.
Can I get bonuses or knowing like extra information?
No.
Have I ever brought up on the air that at school two days out of the week?
He does Taekwondo?
You never have no.
Okay.
I just don't know if you heard that somewhere else.
No.
No.
No, I just don't know the difference than them.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
Next up.
What member of the show has voted Prom King in high school?
Oh dear, lunch.
Yeah, you're right.
Lunchbox?
That's correct, yes, lunchbox is correct.
Four for four.
Why, oh, dear, like she's so annoyed.
Oh, no, I love you lunch, actually.
Actually.
Then she had to say, actually.
Everything is...
All right, next up.
Breaking Bobby Bones can be streamed on what service?
Oh, Paramount Plus.
Incorrect.
Oh.
Incorrect.
Oh, it's Disney.
It's Disney.
Okay, you've got a little bit.
Wow, she jumped.
She jumped quick.
Start her pistol.
Wait for that starter pistol.
Just pause.
Think it through.
Talk it out.
There are only two questions left, and they're both pretty hard.
And if she misses either one of these, she gets no prize.
Amy's sister has a show on HGTV.
It's Amy's sister and her husband.
What is the name of that HGTV show?
Raising Roots.
Let me think about it.
It's something with.
roots, I feel like growing roots, raising roots, building roots, I'm not going to get this
right because it's something you talked about recently.
We've talked about it over the past month or so.
What do you think it's called?
I'll tell you what, roots is it, but what's the first word?
I don't know.
Raising roots?
No, why would you be raising them?
I don't know.
Planting roots, growing roots.
I'm going to go with raising roots.
I'm sure it's wrong.
Dang, it's HGTV.
Yeah, building rooms.
That would make sense.
She even said that!
Oh!
That's right, obviously she's not watching. I don't blame her.
Wait, what?
I said, obviously she's not watching it, I don't blame her.
Why do you have to say, I don't blame her?
Well, I'm just saying.
Okay. And finally...
Give it my review.
Well, you've already missed, but I tell you what, you'll get a consolation prize
if you nail this one, and it is probably the hardest one, okay?
Okay.
What is the name of my rap alter ego who won third best rapper in Central Texas
in the Music Awards of 2008?
You must have just talked about this recently because somebody on the B-Team page found it on YouTube and shared it to the page.
And I literally just looked at it.
I mean, I've talked about it for years and years and years, but it hadn't been talked about in a while.
But my rap alter ego, I used to perform as this person.
Do you know his name?
I don't.
He has a military rank.
Nice.
And a race.
General something?
General YD is not right.
No.
It is Captain Cockney.
occasion.
Oh.
She did good, though.
She didn't win.
But here's what I'm going to do as a consolation to the consolation prize is that we're
going to bring her back for another game soon.
Okay.
I just, our attorneys are all up my boot talks, and I can't give away prizes if they
don't win, okay?
So what we're going to do, because I do think you're a big listener, and I appreciate
that, Christy.
We're going to have you on in the next few days to play another game that you can
easily win, okay?
Okay.
Thank you.
My birthday was yesterday, and I gave my husband.
a bunch of crepola because I thought he was going to get me tickets to your show and he didn't.
Wait, do you want tickets to the show?
I can get you tickets to the show just for being a listener, not even a winner.
Can you come to town?
Oh, I would fly there in a heartbeat.
Okay, so would you like to come to the Friday show or the Saturday show?
Oh my gosh, for real?
It doesn't matter.
I will give you tickets to the Friday night show.
And so, okay, I'm going to put you on hold.
I will get you tickets to the show just for being a great listener, okay?
Oh my goodness. Thank you.
You're welcome. Stand by.
I'm doing two shows in Nashville on two nights, June 17th and 18th.
If you guys want to get tickets, it's a comedy show with a little bit of motivational speaking.
Just go over to CMATheater.com, or Bobbybones.com to get tickets.
And we'll give a pair to Christy, and that's what we will do.
All right, she didn't win, but now we don't have to bring her back because we just gave her tickets.
Everybody wins there.
All right.
We're going to do wow or who cares.
Okay.
Wow or who cares.
I will give you the fun fact.
Or the crazy fact about the celebrity, you tell me, wow?
Or, eh, who cares?
When Angelina Jolie was 22, she tried to hire a hitman to kill her,
but he convinced her to stay alive.
Wow.
Wow.
Three wows.
Yeah.
Good.
I like to hear it.
Matthew Broderick was convicted of careless driving in a car accident in which two people died.
Wow.
I'm sad, but wow.
I told you, you'll never see these celebrities the same way when I finish this.
Channing Tatum is.
actually a very young Channing Tatum is in the Ricky Martin.
She bangs, she bangs music video.
Who cares?
Who cares? All right?
Boo.
I hate you all.
Oh, I'm good.
Before going solo, Brittany Spears was in an all-female group called Innocence.
Okay.
Who cares?
You guys didn't know that.
No, I didn't.
Okay, now you're all of a sudden critics of crazy facts.
Okay.
Before shooting the Friends pilot episode, Jennifer Aniston turned down being a member of Saturday Night Live.
Wow.
Wow. That's crazy.
Oh, yeah, now you're back once I said you're all too good for this.
You're right.
Yeah.
That is wild, though.
Vince Vaughn's missing part of his thumb.
What?
Who cares?
Wow.
No, that's a wow.
Yeah, like what happens?
Who cares?
Why?
I have no idea.
I don't know.
I just have the fact.
Mark Wahlberg has a third nipple, and so does.
Zach Efron and Harry Stiles has two extra nipples.
Wow.
Oh, Harry Stiles, wow.
What are you talking about?
Who cares?
What do you mean four nipples?
You ever made about four nipples?
No, I sure haven't.
That's why it's wow.
Anybody here have an extra net pole?
Uh-uh.
It doesn't have to be a full...
They don't look like...
Yeah, what does it look like?
It can even look like just a little dingy.
Like a mole?
Yeah.
Oh, maybe.
Yes, that's a great representation of what it could look like.
Like a skin tag?
I don't have one.
Okay.
In 1978, Tim Allen was arrested for 1.4 pounds of cocaine
was sentenced from 3 to 7 years in jail.
He was let out on parole after 2 years and 4 months,
but he served over 2 years in prison.
Wow.
That's wow.
That's crazy.
but that's still wow.
Yes.
Kanye West used to work at the gap.
Wow.
Wow. I wonder if that's really got fashion inspo.
Jennifer Lawrence has an H-2O tattoo on her to remind herself to drink more water.
Wow.
Who cares?
That's crazy.
I think that's pretty crazy.
She tattooed herself with a note to drink more water.
But where?
On the back of her neck?
Did she see it?
I just said, I didn't say back of her neck.
Oh, you pointed at the back of your neck.
Yeah, because mine itched.
I scratched my neck in a segment.
You literally pointed out you were talking about that too and I was like, whatever you did, you let us to believe next.
I'll never scratch again.
Thank you.
It's actually on her hand.
Okay.
Well, that makes sense.
That's hilarious.
Growing up, Katie Perry's family was so religious.
They called devil's eggs, angeled eggs.
And she wasn't allowed to eat lucky charms because that cereal was linked to the devil.
Wow.
That's very wild.
That's crazy of a family?
That's wild.
Michael J. Fox's middle name does not start with J.
his middle name is actually Andrew.
Well, what happened?
Wow.
I don't have follow-ups on any of this.
I mean, you guys keep asking.
I just have facts from this BuzzFeed article.
Okay.
Nick Cage once did mushrooms with his cat.
Cool.
Sounds about right.
I mean.
Hard for the course.
Yeah, that's fine.
And Snoop Dog and Brandy are first cousins.
Wow.
Oh, wow.
Okay.
I think's pretty cool.
There you go.
Now, do you feel the same about all these celebrities?
No.
No.
That's right.
A little different.
Which one blew you away the most?
Matthew Broderick.
that's crazy
again this is from a BuzzFeed article
I in fact check anything myself I just read the article
but it says Matthew Broderick was convicted of careless driving
in a car accident which two people died
so that's a big one and the angel and
Joe Lee one where she hired
that's the one that's crazy he talked her out of it
I wonder if he still collected his payment though
good question
like what kind of hitman tells you you shouldn't do it
one that has a heart
but if you're a hitman
you just want the money yeah but you probably
He's probably never been approached to kill the person that was hiring him.
I'm not sure how that approach even happened.
If she approached or if she got a...
I don't know.
I don't know what's up.
But yes, maybe she just called him.
I was like, hey, I need you to...
I don't know off me.
I'm walking down the street.
I just don't want to know about it.
Take care of me.
That's sad.
That's a weird, yeah, that's a weird one there.
The Jennifer Lawrence one's pretty funny to me, too, that she tattooed in the
water.
If you had to tattoo a message to yourself on your hand.
Okay.
Water's a good one.
So that you always see it.
Breathe.
What will be the message?
Got it.
That you just wouldn't do unless you're like, oh, I got to keep reminding myself to do it.
Go.
Take a shower.
He draws a little showerhead with water.
Okay.
Amy?
I'll do 478.
I tattoo those numbers because that's a breathing exercise that I have to remind myself to do.
It can calm you if you do it five times in a row, in for four, hold for seven, out for eight.
Eddie?
Tell people you love them.
Tell your family you love them.
That's a good one.
A little reminder.
Yeah, that's a solid one.
Because I forget.
I think mine would be.
I would just put a little book on my thumb
Just because sometimes I'll be getting on Twitter
And I'll be like, oh, my half hour's already over.
I can't read today.
Because I do a pretty good job of it most days,
or I'm on PlayStation a little too long.
I'm like, I forgot to read.
I just prioritized and 2K just beat out the book.
So maybe that.
Here's a voicemail from John who lives in Wisconsin.
Hey, yo, Bobby.
I'm down here in Dubupe right now,
and I've had the Sonic.
So I'm like, you know what?
I got it stopped by a Sonic and get me a bobby water.
I tried it.
Best thing ever.
Thank you for showing me that.
It's freaking amazing.
I love it.
Have it goal, man.
Appreciate that.
What I have said before, I'm just the Steve Jobs of this.
I'm not the Wozniak.
My wife is the Wozniak.
She's the one who said, hey, we should take water and put it.
And I just said, that's a great idea.
I will not tell everyone about it.
So you call it the Bobby Water.
And I did.
Yes.
But it's also the Caitlin Water.
Yes.
By the way, that is a Route 44 water.
with nerds and real fruit strawberry.
Okay.
And it's pretty good and you can hydrate.
Everybody's a winner.
Here's Mariah from New Mexico.
I want to know with your honorary doctorate if it's something you can put on resumes.
Do you add that to your resume? How does that work?
Let me know.
I've done a lot of research on this and yes you can.
For sure, yeah.
You don't put it in your education, you put it in your accomplishments.
Oh.
That makes sense.
So, because you're awarding.
it based on other outside work that is not in academia.
It's like an award.
Yes.
So you put, yeah, absolutely, but you don't put it in education because you didn't go to
school to get a doctorate.
You were given an honorary one based on all the things that you did in a classification of
what they have at the school.
Okay, but is your name at the top of the page, Dr. Bobby Bone.
It could be, but it's frowned upon.
Right.
But mine will not be.
That makes me think of a question just for the show and those that have gotten
employee of the month here.
Like if they down the line are seeking new employment, can they put that under accomplishments?
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Employee of the month, Bobby Bone Show.
Three time.
These guys leaving or what?
Why are you asking?
You know, I'm just curious.
I know, I was asking.
Hey, she winked at me when she said that, so I don't know what that means about you guys.
I did not.
Terry from North Carolina left this one.
I have a morning corny for Amy.
What do you call a tasered inmate?
Shaka Khan.
Shocka Khan.
Oh, shock a con.
See, I went like a con.
Right.
Convict.
Shock a con.
That one's good.
And also, Shaka Khan is, Rufus is who sings, tell me something good.
And I think at the car wash, too, they sing that one too.
Okay, well, there you have it.
Shock a con.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So, Bobby, when you got your doctorate last weekend at the graduation ceremony, were balloons released at all?
I don't think so. We were in an arena.
Yeah, but you didn't see balloons going out because it's a common thing right now,
and there's being a warning put out to not release these particular type of balloons in the air
that are very popular at graduation parties.
And it's the silver balloons, like they're sort of metallic and they look really pretty.
But the silver coating conducts electricity.
So if the balloons make contact with power lines, they're shorting out transformers,
they're melting electric wires, and they're causing power out.
outages. So obviously, your little celebration might, you know, end up affecting thousands of
congratulations. Congratulations. You just graduated. The whole town will have no power, no heating,
but you know what? Go for it. Yeah. So just get normal balloons if you're going to release them.
I thought you were going to say no balloons because the animals could die. Well, that too. Yeah. Let's just
not release them. Ww-w-w-w. That's sad. All right, what else? Well, there's a safety hat going viral on
TikTok from a mom. Her handle is The Landry Family Family.
5-04. And she says that we need to be teaching our children to curse instead of scream if someone
tries to grab them. Because especially if this goes down at like say a playground.
Well, the kidnapper just laugh. He said the F-4 at six-year-old and then all the time somebody
beats them up. I don't know. That could happen. I kind of thought how could we apply this to adults?
And I think I would throw off an attacker if all of a sudden I just started like cussing a bunch
of words and sounding crazy. I don't know the words would do it. Every cuss word. She says, teach them every cuss word
and they just start rattling them off.
Because here's the deal.
If they get abducted from like a playground situation
where the abductor's trying to be around
where there's a lot of kids and people
and you may not notice,
well, if they scream, there's a lot of screams
happening at a playground.
So it doesn't get other people's attention.
But if you hear a kid rattling off a bunch of cuss words,
you turn and look and you're like, what's going on?
So about adults, I don't think that would work because we say it all the time.
Well, you walk out in the hall, lunchbox is dropping.
I'm like crazy.
Happens.
We have a no curse word rule in this.
studio, but as soon as he goes out, it's like he just, uh, vomits him out.
I get scared. I've been wanting to start practicing getting attacked in a way so that I can practice screaming.
No problem. We will now set up strategic attacks on Amy.
We'll see if she's ready for it. No, I'm serious because I feel, I fear that if I get attacked, I will not be able to scream.
Because, like, if I'm being tickled a lot, I can't scream in my throat.
This has turned into like a fantasy thing for her. She wants to be attacked. She wants to be tickled.
I don't know many of them.
That's what I'm saying.
That's not what I'm saying.
When I feel pressure, I don't want to be tickled.
And I want off.
It's almost like my voice goes mute in a way.
Like I can't get out sound.
And that, that scares me.
The only thing that you can do to check it off is to actually have it happen to you.
So what I'm doing is going to rent a white band.
Are we going to do like the movies?
We run up, pull it, throw her in it.
It's up to you to decide if it's real or not.
Or I just need to take some self-defense classes and learn how to take care of myself.
That's not near as fun for the radio show, though.
All right, what else?
Another reason to love Garth Brooks is because he has put his career on pause for the sake of others.
He pumped the brakes on the date for Buffalo this weekend.
The tickets were supposed to go on sale Friday.
But he's like, with everything that's going on there,
I just want to respect the morning and the hurt and the confusion that's going on in the community.
So I'm pressing pause on my ticket sales.
It's not even like he's canceling the show.
Yeah, show's same time.
Show's same time, but he's not going to put his tickets on sale
this week. It just does not seem appropriate. And I just thought that's super thoughtful of Garth.
Because at the end of the day, it's ticket sales. It's not the actual show. But he just has so much respect for what they're going through.
You know, I'll say it now. And I know it's going to be controversial, but Garth Brooks is a good guy.
Good guy. Yeah, he's a good guy. All right.
I'm Amy. That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Stay home, it's not been good.
McFarland, Wisconsin. Oh, you probably remember him from the 2018 and 2021 Winter Olympics
as a member of the curling team. Do you remember him? No.
Oh, wow. Just saying it up, he was on the curling team going, ah, sweep, sweep, sweep, sweep,
sweep, sweep, sweep, sweep. Sweep, sweep. Well, he does. Oh, curling's the ice game where
they sweep the ice to the broom. Yes. And they throw those old diss. Well, this guy, he wants
to do something for kids. So every year, he doesn't get a haircut. He grows his hair out for 12 months.
And then he donates it. So the kids with cancer,
can get a wig, and guess what? He just did it again. That's pretty cool. What does he do again?
He grows his hair outside. He did, dun...
Did I say it like that?
You were in character, so it's tough. He donates his hair.
Yeah, so kids with cancer or have trauma that lose hair, they have a wig, and he does it every year, and it just raises awareness, and he just cut off 12 inches again. Boom, he's kind of like me.
Yeah, that's... He is. I was going to bring that up.
Oh, good. I want to make sure it was brought up. I saw this story, and I was like, I'm going to do this just so we can point out.
that I did this.
Lunchbox grew out his hair really long and then decided to donate it to the organization.
Locks for Love.
But what did they do with it?
Well, and then he donates it to them.
And I think you got a letter back or something going, we can't accept your hair.
Yeah, it didn't get accepted.
Why not?
Too dirty?
Were we joking that they did this or did they really use it for the oil spill?
No, no.
They said they would send me a letter when they used it.
Oh.
Like if they used it and it never did.
And then I was told that they donated it to the oil spill.
To the oil spill.
But that's needed.
He saved fish, I guess.
Yeah, but I mean...
They could have just said they used it for kids, you know?
Yeah.
Just lie a little bit.
I mean, the guy went through a year and growing his hair out.
I mean, my hair was long, dude.
I went to the haircut place.
And I was like, man, I'm gonna...
Some kids gonna be walking around with my mane on their head.
Were you growing it out for that?
No, I grew it out for a bet.
Me and two buddies.
That's right.
Because I was thinking, this sounds so selfless.
Let me re-end...
Okay, so your buddies bet you how much?
$1,250.
We'd had a few drinks, and that was the longest my hair had been because I hadn't had a haircut in a month.
They're like, oh, I bet you won't grow it out for a year.
And I was like, bet.
And they bet me.
One guy bet me $1,000.
Another one bet me $250.
And so I said, game on.
Guess how much that money I collected?
Zero.
$250.
The $1,000 better didn't give you the money?
No, he ended up going out one night, meeting a girl.
They did a little thing.
And then she had a bun in the oven.
and this was six months into the bet
and I went to him and I said, hey man,
we can call off the bet if you want.
And he's like, no, dude, no.
A kid ain't going to change that.
Well, kid changed that.
Never paid me.
Yeah.
But now he could like Venmo you $50 a month for the rest.
Absolutely.
I mean, he's got a good job now.
And still nothing.
Yeah, and he still owes me another.
Hey, and this guy is on the hood.
He owes me another thousand because he got married before I did.
That was another bet.
Yeah.
Who would hold out the longest?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
We're like, we're never getting married.
and he's like, I'll beg you get married before I do.
I was like, bet.
This guy just throwing money around him.
Interesting.
$1,000.
Okay, well, but hey, let's celebrate this guy.
What's his name again?
Matt Hamilton, come on, guys.
The curler.
You may remember him from his curling.
All right, that's a good story.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
