Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, everybody. Welcome to Vince on a Friday. It is great to have you with us today. Remember accountability culture? You know that thing? It came for James Comey. It came for Letitia James. And boy, it came today for the walrus, John Bolton. I've got the details all ahead on this edition of Vince. Our buddy Steve Helton stops by. He brings his British accent and a bunch of good analysis. And so much more to take us into the weekend. I'm glad you're here, the best audience anywhere. Hello. Good to have you here with us today. Hey, you ever feel like you're being observed. on the internet that you're being watched right now. And I don't just mean for those of you on Rumble who are watching me right now, I'm not just staring at you. I mean, are organizations out of your site watching your internet activity? You know, internet service providers can see every single website you visit. And in the United States, they're even allowed to sell your browsing history. But until the laws can be changed around your privacy, you need to protect yourself.
Starting point is 00:00:55 And the way I do it is with ExpressVPN. It's an easy to use app. It encrypts and reroutes all of my internet traffic through secure servers. And because I use ExpressVPN, my internet provider, well, can't see my browsing history. And ExpressVPN also hides my IP address so those greedy data brokers can't use it to build a profile of me to sell to marketers. It's pretty great. You can protect yourself. Now, I wouldn't call myself the biggest tech expert, but I find that ExpressVPN is incredibly easy to use.
Starting point is 00:01:26 All you have to do, all I do is tap one button and I get. connected. They've got apps for every single device, and not to mention, it's the number one rated VPN by CNET, The Verge, and tons of other tech reviewers. So if you want to start taking your online privacy seriously, don't wait, stop letting these companies sell you off for parts. No, use my special link to get four extra months of ExpressVPN for free at ExpressVPN.com slash Vince. That's ExpressVPN.com slash Vince. Oh, Mr. Bolton. Oh, Mr. Bolton. What's going on with you? We've got an update today. John Bolton has surrendered to authorities. Here he is this morning. Cut 18, John Bolton turning himself in today in Maryland. Already advisor, John Bolton, arriving at a United States district court in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Starting point is 00:02:25 He is expected to surrender after being indicted on 18 counts over the alleged mishandling of classified documents. Bolton faces eight counts of transmission of national defense information and 10 counts of retention of national defense information. The documents contained intel on future attacks, foreign missile launches, and human intel sources. for an attack's missile launches and human intel sources 18 different counts holy crap what wasn't this guy stealing and giving away that's insane uh this is amazing to me and already ladies and gentlemen already from the moment this was announced and we sort of knew it was going to be announced i think we even talked about it at least on the podcast perhaps definitely on the radio show yesterday that it looked like a john bolton indictment was coming well it's here and um i read through this
Starting point is 00:03:16 indictment? And I go, they got, they've got them. They've got them. I don't even know, I don't even know how he can wiggle out of this thing. The mustache is captured here. Now, John Bolton, for his part, he released his statement yesterday right after the indictment dropped. And he said that the real villain in this story is not the guy who broke the law, stole classified information, used it to write a book, handed it off to family members, you know, and imperiled the nation's secrets. It's not that guy. No, it's, it's Donald Trump. who is equal to Joseph Stalin for daring to hold John Bolton accountable. Listen, cut one here, John Bolton's crazy statement.
Starting point is 00:03:56 He says, I have become the latest target in weaponizing the Justice Department to charge those he deems to be as enemies with charges that were declined before or distort the facts. My book was reviewed and approved by the appropriate experience career clearance officials. When my email was hacked in 2021, the FBI was made fully. aware. John Bolton continues, in four years of the prior administration after these reviews, no charges were ever filed. Then came Trump too, he says, who embodies what Joseph Stalin's head of police, head of secret police once said, you show me the man and I'll show you the crime. John Bolton's statement ends. These charges are not just about his focus on me or my diaries,
Starting point is 00:04:40 but his intensive effort to intimidate his opponents to ensure that he alone determines what is said about his conduct. Descent and disagreement are foundational to America's constitutional system and vitally important to our freedom. I look forward to the fight to defend my lawful conduct and to expose his Trump's abuse of power. I love, don't you love how these guys, they steal classified information, they take privileged conversations with the president of the United States. They write down memos of their conversations. And then they call them their personal memos. Oh, it's my diary. There's a bunch of, you know, tween girls keeping their diaries, lying on their beds, kicking their feet up, writing about
Starting point is 00:05:20 Donald Trump and then, you know, writing his last name after theirs. Come on, will you spare? It's your diary. James Comey did the same thing. He would keep personal notes on private confidential conversations with the commander-in-chief. And then he's like, yeah, it's my personal diary, it's my personal memos. And then he leaks them to his buddy, who then sends them to the New York Times in order to secure a special counsel against the president of the United States. You think you can just do that those are government records you're doing you're you're doing that with yeah they're they're they really like to make up these stories they they revert to like some sort of middle school explanation for what the hell they were up to but here's the problem for all these guys there is
Starting point is 00:05:59 black letter law about the way you're supposed to handle these documents and john bolton seems pretty clearly to be in violation of it if you check out this indictment i like doing the reading i like i was like let me let me see this indictment let me take a look at this they've got this guy dead the rights. Here we go. Ready? Ladies and gentlemen, for those of you on the rumble.com slash advanced video feed, check this out. The item eight, from on or about April 9th of 2018 through August 22nd of 2025, that was when they raided his house in August 22nd.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Bolton abused his position as national security advisor by sharing more than a thousand pages, a thousand pages of information about his day-to-day activities as the national. national security advisor, including information related to the national defense, which was classified, top secret SCI level with two unauthorized individuals. They call them individuals one and two. These individuals, according to the indictment, they're related to him. These are his relatives that he's sending these things to. These people do not have security clearances. He cannot be sending them to him, to them. He's taking them out of classified environments, bringing them into unclassified environments, sending it over things like AOL and encrypted messaging apps and
Starting point is 00:07:20 just willy-nilly taking classified information and sending it in to his family members who are not allowed to see it according to the law. Now, for those of you in the chat, for those of you in the chat who have been either members of the military or members of the government who know anything about security clearances, who've ever had one perhaps, tell me already, based on what I'm describing. Is anything about this allowed? You know, well, he was the national security advisor. Maybe he's got special privileges. He's allowed to just willy-nilly share with family members the nation's most important secrets. Is that allowed to happen? Chat, is that something we can do? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that's not allowed. No, that's not allowed. I've got people in
Starting point is 00:08:04 the chat saying, yeah, I had a top secret security clearance once. That's definitely not allowed. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, is the answer. Flood the chat, please. Flood the chat, please flood the chat with the nose this is not allowed not from you john bolton not from anybody in fact the one guy who's got the uh the classification and declassification authority here is the president of the united states he gets to make calls like this uh and i'll get to what bolton has said about president trump in the past and classified information that's coming up but bolton he just keeps taking this stuff and they say that he had diary like entries that he was sending along to his family members individuals one and two. And Bolton wrote each of these by transcribing handwritten notes from
Starting point is 00:08:47 his day's activities into word processing documents. And then he'd just send them along. And he would email things in his AOL account, his Google account, including information that was classified up to the top secret SCI level. At no point did John Bolton have any authorization to store any of this or to transmit any of this need net and these individuals had no authorization to know any of this and yet he kept doing it he just he just decided i want to and therefore he did he wasn't authorized to store it the way that he was storing it um he didn't tell anybody in the government that he was sending classified information in this way uh and they've got even the details about how frequently this occurred. If you go down in this document here, what you discover is that
Starting point is 00:09:39 he sent so much information, it's absurd. Now, they have communications between him and his family members, individuals one and two. And in the communications, they even acknowledged that he began sending some of this over encrypted apps where there's little conversations about you're not allowed to talk about this. And more to come, cloak and dagger, they say. And he's sending information that's top secret, SCI level, secret, no foreign consumption, meaning no foreigners are allowed to look at this. Stuff is coming, he says. And in these documents, let's see, I'm going to pull down to some of the specific items they claim that he sent, because this is the good stuff. Here, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling. Here we go. Date of transmission,
Starting point is 00:10:32 September 2018, he sends a document that, quote, reveals intelligence about a future attack by an adversarial group in another country. It was considered top secret. Document B reveals liaison partners sharing sensitive information with the U.S. intel community. Secret. Document three reveals intelligence that a foreign adversary was planning a missile launch in the future, a covert action in a foreign country that is related to sensitive intergovernmental actions. Top secret. Another document revealed Intel
Starting point is 00:11:05 about an adversary's knowledge of planned U.S. actions and intelligence about an adversary's plans for attack conducted against U.S. forces in another country. Top secret. They had a document that revealed intel on an adversary's leaders, top secret, another one revealing intel concerning a foreign country's interactions with an adversary. top secret, a document about covert action planned by the U.S. government and intelligence
Starting point is 00:11:34 confirming a foreign adversary was responsible for an attack, top secret. The list just keeps going on. So this is, and that's just the first eight counts. And then he's got another nine through 18. He's got even more counts, more documents, more classified, more top secret stuff that he was not supposed to send. So again, for those of you in the business at any point in your career of handling classified information or at least being working with people whose responsibility was to do that you know what we're dealing with here these are serious felonies that john bolton stands accused of and um let's let's uh i want to go down the list of of some of the revelations how things uh spilled out yesterday so we get the news that that bolton is being indicted
Starting point is 00:12:19 for all of this here's president trump reacting to the news yesterday a reporter was the first one to tell him, and he goes, you're telling me for the first time. Take a look. I was just indicted by Grand Doreen, Maryland. Do you have a reaction to that? I didn't know that. You tell me for the first time, but I think he's, you know, a bad person. I think he's a bad guy. Yeah, he's a bad guy. It's too bad. He's a bad person. He's a bad guy. You're telling me for the first time. Too bad. That's the way it works. That's it. You break the law. The law comes for you. That's a back. America is doing it the right way again.
Starting point is 00:12:58 It's not, Bolton says it's Stalin-esque. President Trump doesn't have a body count in the tens of millions. President Trump is not sending law enforcement after political enemies inventing crime. Show me the man, I'll show you the crime. That's what Bolton quoted. Nope, that's not the way it works here.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Commit the crime, do the time. That's the way it works. And John Bolton is finding that out the hard way. What did he think he was gonna do? Did he really think that he could just get away with that? And, you know, you'll hear chatter about this. Oh, the Justice Department looked at this. They didn't bring charges.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Yeah, that was the Biden Justice Department. The Biden Justice Department who brought charges against people like Peter Navarro and against people like Steve Bannon and constantly against President Trump and Mark Halk and people singing church hymns outside of abortion mills, going after Catholics for the Latin Mass, going after Doug Mackey for a meme that he made back in 2016, a pretty funny one, about Hillary Clinton. They went after him for a meme. And then they get this pile of evidence and they don't go after John Bolton.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Chat, why do you think that is? Why do you think the Biden administration didn't prosecute John Bolton when they had a treasure trove of criminal evidence against him? Why is that? Oh, because he attacked Trump. Because he was on their team. He was useful as a weapon against Trump. So no prosecutions for him. Not while Joe Biden's in office.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Donald Trump's in office, and finally, justice is on its way again. That's the way it's happening right now. Now, Bolton himself, think about this. In case you're wondering, why wasn't he indicted under Biden? Look no further than the way he treated Trump on the air and everywhere else. Here's Bolton whining, while Biden was in office, whining that Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, was mishandling classified information. Cut three. Watch Bolton back in the day.
Starting point is 00:14:54 The president had a habit of asking to retain sensitive documents. And from time to time, he did that. And we didn't know what happened to them. And it was always a concern that because he didn't really fully understand the risks to sources and methods and other dangers of revealing classified information that it might get out to the wrong people. Yeah. Oh, he's always mishandled classified. information and he's the president of the united states it is entirely at his discretion how
Starting point is 00:15:28 he handles classified information the information is classified by his judgment that's how it works and uh and that's not the way it works for you bolton bolton who is memorializing classified information on yellow legal pads and then and then going home writing it into a digital format sending it off to family members over things like google and aOL and encrypted messaging systems that's that was you who did that that was you talk about information security handling classified information that guy was doing that during the entire sequence of events and by the way by the time that interview you just heard occurred john bolton was no longer in the white house it was so in other words all of the crimes he now stands accused of he had already committed he knew that he was
Starting point is 00:16:13 mishandling classified information and he went on television and he lied about trump anyway came down against President Trump from Jack Smith, the Mar-a-Lago garbage, John Bolton was all over it. He said, this is devastating. This will be the end of Donald Trump. Watch this. If he has anything like what the complaint, what the indictment alleges, and of course, the government will have to prove it, then he has committed very serious crimes. This is a devastating indictment. I speak here as an alumnus of the Justice Department myself, because not only is it powerful, it's very, very. narrowly tailored. They didn't throw everything up against the wall to see what would stick. This really is a rifle shot. And I think it's, it should be the end of Donald Trump's political career. It's a rifle shot. Bam! Bam! We got them. We got them. This indictment, it's not,
Starting point is 00:17:08 they're not messing around. They're not throwing stuff against the wall. They got them dead the rights. I mean, you read that indictment and boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, they got that mustache dude cold. Oh, I'm sorry, he was talking about Trump. But yeah, the mustache dude, we got him cold. in this indictment and it wasn't just trump that john bolton reserved this kind of analysis for he also did it to the now secretary of war pete heggseth you remember earlier this year when the media was going apoplectic over the fact that pete higseth was speaking to other trump administration officials over an encrypted app called signal now never mind that the biden administration had told members of the executive branch that that was a perfectly good way to communicate with
Starting point is 00:17:48 with one another using encrypted app like Signal. And Signal came on government phones as a means to have these kinds of communications. Never mind any of that context. The media turned this into a full blown scandal. And John Bolton dutifully criticized Pete Heggseth for using an encrypted app to talk about sensitive information. Here he is doing that very thing.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Well, I think the second example of a Signal chat group and I have no doubt that there are more out there be found really shows a terrible lack of judgment. Communicating with the people in this group in particular who have absolutely no need to know about any upcoming U.S. military operation leads me to wonder what he's doing on the job on a minute-to-minute hour-by-hour basis, that he's got time to knock out signal messages to friends and family, which is what this group is. I mean, I think Hegseth has sadly proved himself to be a lightweight.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Are you listening to this? Are you listening to what I'm playing for you? As I'm taking you on this wonderful flashback, he says, oh, he's sharing stuff with people who had no right to know any of this. He's sharing this with friends and family. And it just leads me to wonder, like, what is he doing? Is he doing his job at all? If he has time all day to be sending classified information to people who shouldn't be getting
Starting point is 00:19:13 it, friends and family, never mind the fact. he was lying about Pete Higginsett. But that description is exactly what John Bolton did. Bolton was wasting the day away, writing down classified information, according to this indictment, turning around and sending it off the family members. So once again, it's the same with all these people.
Starting point is 00:19:33 What they accuse you of is precisely what they're doing. That's the case for John Bolton, yet again. Now, there's no love lost, of course, between President Trump and John Bolton, the two men, hate each other uh the president through the years has talked about why he had john bolton a part of his administration to begin with at all uh and in fact he i remember having a conversation with the president about this and it just so happens our good friend dan bongino also had a conversation with the president about this take it away dan and president trump take a lesson like bolton was a
Starting point is 00:20:09 stiff he was a dumb guy very stupid guy but actually he came in handy because he was a maniac you know he always wanted to go to war with me. Yeah, he wants to bomb everyone. He wants to bomb. So I just he wouldn't talk because he was stupid. But what happened in, I'd bring him into a room with Putin and Putin would say, oh shit, Trump wants to go to war. Because Bolton was with Bush and they, you know, think of it. They went into the Middle East. They bombed the hell out of the place and they left. You know, it's like they bombed. This guy would, he would go, he wanted to bomb anything. He's a nut job. But but he was good for negotiating purposes.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I love that in that clip at one point, Dan just says, the mustache. That's really funny. Anyway, that was a great interview and wonderful stuff. And yeah, no, that's funny. And, you know, there was some virtue to that. The president, he, I remember thinking that I was like, why did you hire Bolton?
Starting point is 00:21:06 Bolton doesn't share your worldview at all. Like, Bolton, that guy definitely is not interested in getting us out of stupid wars. He loves stupid wars. his whole thing. And President Trump, he kept offering that explanation, especially after Bolton left. He's like, it's the best because every world leader I dragged the mustache into the room with, with me. They always think, that guy's going to go crazy. That guy's going to bomb our country. And so really interesting, interesting strategy from the president of the United States. But here we are. Here we are. So I want to just let me reiterate something as we
Starting point is 00:21:39 stare at the scoreboard. James call me, Letitia James, and now John Bolton, have been served up indictments. Yesterday, I was playing clips for you of Cash Patel, the FBI director, saying, hey, there's a lot more coming imminently. And by the end of this year, I think you're going to be very impressed by the points they're putting up on the scoreboard. That's what Cash Patel was explaining, and that's what I'm believing as I hear it out of the FBI director today. I'm going to take it. I'm going to take this as the victory that it is. I like seeing these guys put into the hopper. Yep. Now you got to pay for your legal defense. Now you got to go through the fight. Now you got to be subjected to the system that you imposed on people unjustly and then rooted on as it
Starting point is 00:22:21 was happening to people unjustly as John Bolton did. Now you got to live with this. And it's not for any unjust reason. This is not some sort of unjust vengeance where something's being invented. did no. These guys all stand credibly accused of committing the crimes that exist inside of their indictments. And so now they got to fight it out in the court process. Good luck. But meanwhile, the rest of us keep wanting this accountability, glad to see some more of it coming through. And these guys are not small fish. These are, this is not tiny no names. This is not Kevin Klein Smith who manipulated a document to go after Carter Page. That guy deserved, by the way, a stiffer penalty than he ended up with. He got to slap on the wrist. These are some of the big cahunas.
Starting point is 00:23:03 that are going down now. And as far as we can tell, it's only just the beginning or ahead. I love that. Before we move on in the program, though, I got to thank the great sponsors who make it happen. You know, every so often something happens that does remind us of just how fragile our freedoms are, you know, like when the government attacks people just because they have different politics. You can't afford to take your rights for granted. You got to draw a line in the sand. And our friends of Patreon Mobile know this.
Starting point is 00:23:30 and they've been doing this for more than 12 years. The truth is really there's one provider that's boldly standing in the gap for Americans who do believe that freedom is worth fighting for. That's Patriot Mobile. And not only are they leading the way in the patriotic economy and supporting shows like ours,
Starting point is 00:23:47 they're also outpacing the competition and technology. Patriot Mobile is one of the only carriers offering premium access to all three major U.S. networks, giving you nationwide coverage and service that you can count on. They also offer unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, internet backup, and so much more. Switching, well, it's easier than ever. That's patreonmobile.com slash Vince or call 972 Patriot and make that switch. today. Patreon Mobile is awesome. Thank you to Patreon Mobile. I use Patreon Mobile. It's great for me. And we are, we're so grateful for your support of this program. It helps keep us going. All right. So that's the John Bolton update. I love that. There's some criminal accountability coming his way. He's got to deal with that wonderful, wonderful stuff. Another big thing that occurred last night that you should know about is there was a massive debate in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This one.
Starting point is 00:25:00 one revolved around the attorney general's race there. Remember, that's where Jay Jones is, the Democrat nominee, who said that his political opponents deserve bullets to the head, two bullets to the head, according to Jay Jones for the former House Speaker Todd Gilbert. He wanted to see Todd Gilbert's children hurt or killed as a way to get Todd Gilbert to change his political views. It's all just noxious and disgusting. That guy should be in a straight jacket, not in a race to become the next attorney general
Starting point is 00:25:29 Virginia but they had a debate last night and it's between the incumbent republican uh jason miarez and the challenger here the violent jones and we've got some clips from this last night that i want to share with you uh i'll start with jason miarez because he sets the stage here he roundhouse kicks jones in the head for the metaphorically not not actually jones is the violent guy Jason Mierrez, in cut nine here, really gives Jay Jones the business for what he did in that text message exchange. Watch. And I find it a little bit stunning that today you say one of the pillars of your public safety platform is protecting children. Were you protecting Jennifer's children when you said you wanted to see them die in their mother's arms? How can anybody who's ever worked in any of the crimes against children, all of the areas of federal and state local law department, how can they ever take you seriously?
Starting point is 00:26:24 be the top prosecutor, knowing that you view that children should die to advance a political agenda. It's unconscionable, and if you were truly sorry, you would not be running for this office because he disqualified yourself. So Jason Mierrez put up a great performance last night. He was kind of handed all the right things to say on a silver platter. I mean, when your opponent calls for violence like that, you have no choice but to dwell on that and say, tell the voters, remind the voters of what's going on. meanwhile jade jones he had a crappy debate performance last night he he like um like letitia james he announced that he's running because he wants to prosecute trump he said last night so another reason to keep this guy away from office uh and then he tried to act all contrite he tried to say oh i'm so sorry for this tech scandal that was so naughty of me i shouldn't have done that here's cut a jade jones
Starting point is 00:27:17 uh trying to pretend like he regrets this and you're also going to hear from my opponent about text messages that I sent that I deeply, deeply regret. Let me be very clear. I am ashamed. I am embarrassed, and I'm sorry. Then I got caught. I'm sorry to Speaker Gilbert. I'm sorry to his family.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I'm sorry to my family. And I'm sorry to every single Virginia. I cannot take back what I said. But you have my word that I will always be a careful. from my mistakes. And you also have my word that I will spend every waking moment fighting for you. I am desperate for power. And I will say literally anything I need to say at this moment to survive this race. Please put me into office so that I can prosecute Donald Trump. Jay Jones. That's the message he's running on. And remember, he had all the opportunity in the world to say,
Starting point is 00:28:18 You know what? That was stupid. Didn't mean it. It was ridiculous. I should have never said anything like that. In fact, the person he was texting with, the delegate coiner, the Republican woman, said, Jay, stop. Don't do this. What's wrong with you? Are you serious right now? How could you wish death on somebody's children? And he kept doubling down. He kept saying over and over and over in that text message exchange, this is what that Republican deserves. It is the only way he will change. his politics. Violence is the only answer. That's what Jay Jones said over and over and over again. So no, do you believe for a moment that he's full of regret? The only regret he has is that you noticed this, that you now know about it. That's the regret he has. He has no regret for his behavior. In fact, when called out on it, he doubled down constantly. And that should tell you all you need to know about this guy. You should be nowhere near power. And God willing, he is defeated. of you in Virginia. It's early voting right now. Get out and vote. Fill those ballots out, lock those votes in, lock up your name in the voting process, and take it off the table,
Starting point is 00:29:31 make it so that nobody else can take your ballot. Now's your chance and then get every single person you know out to vote. Let them know what the stakes are. Like, even if you have sort of like, you know, like just reflexive Democrat voters out there, and they do, especially in northern Virginia, you. But if they're not thinking about this too much, put this in front of them. You're like, hey, you know this. Democrat said that Republicans need to be shot in the head with two bullets, right? Is that true? Yeah. And then show them the text message and say, look, you don't, you don't have to vote for the Republican, although you should, but don't vote for that guy. Jay Jones, don't vote for them. At least get them to say, I'm going to tap out of this race. I can't support that guy. That guy's too much. Something has to be done here. And by the way, the polling does suggest that Jason Miaris has an authentic shot.
Starting point is 00:30:17 as staying to the Attorney General in Virginia in light of all of this. His candidates, candidates is going very well, and it may have some upstream help for wins some Sears to get close to or perhaps even beat Abigail Spanberger. So we've got some real races going on, and the Republican Party as an establishment believes that, too, because they're not dumping money into the Commonwealth of Virginia that they weren't doing before.
Starting point is 00:30:42 So we'll see. We'll see, but it's going to take you Virginia voters to actually get out there and vote. It's going to make a big difference. All right, we got a lot of election stuff. I had Scott Pressler on yesterday on the program. For those of you who missed yesterday's podcast, we did a deep dive into electoral politics across the country and the way that you can help, no matter where you are in the country, check out the Scott Pressler interview yesterday.
Starting point is 00:31:06 More in a moment on electoral politics because I'll be joined by another major candidate, this time from the Golden State of California. We're going to talk about what's happening there. is a major, major fight on the ballot right now about whether or not the left can even further rig the elections in California. We'll discuss it next with Steve Hilton. Stand by for that. Before we get there, though, doctors call it weight cycling. Half of Americans do it. Thank you to Beam very much. All right, let's talk California politics now for a little bit with the great Steve. he'll who's stopping by is a candidate for governor in california steve great to see you as always sir fantastic to be with you vince how you doing i'm doing very well and you know i actually i
Starting point is 00:34:20 want to remind people of how california's primary system works because i don't think people realize this please what you are in right now is not a republican primary that there's no such thing in california you're in a jungle primary yes which is a crazy crazy system but of course cal California does everything crazy. And so what that means, as I understand it, is that the top two vote finishers in the primary election, regardless of party, become the primary, become the candidates for the general election. Is that right?
Starting point is 00:34:52 Exactly right. It's totally insane. It's another example, as you say, if the ridiculous way, most things work or don't work in California. And let's remind everyone, the idea of this when it was set up over a decade ago, was to try and have more moderate politicians and to have, because people would have to appeal to the middle ground, independent voter
Starting point is 00:35:15 and be a moderating influence. What's happened since then? The Democrats, with their one-party rule in California, have gone left, left, left. As I said at the launch of my campaign, the California Democrats have gone so far left, they're halfway to Hawaii. It is so ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:35:31 So it's had the opposite effect, but there we are. That is the system. Just as you were saying, You've got to vote early, whatever we think about early voting. But this is the system. We've got to win through this system. And right now, the polls are showing most of them that I am in the top two along with.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Katie Porter, if you can believe it. We'll see what happens after her meltdown interview last week. I want to get to, I'm calling that Psycho Gate. I'm going to get the Psycho Gate in a moment because I love that story. And I'm horrified for what it means for the future in California if she gets elected. But first, I want to concentrate on something going on. California's ballot right now. Huge. And that's everyone, we've been talking about this. It's called Prop 50. And as, again, as I understand it, this is about Democrats rigging the election system in
Starting point is 00:36:19 California even more. Yes. Which is why we've been telling people vote no on Prop 50. You've got to go and vote no on this thing. Talk about this, Steve Hilton. You're completely right. I love that you said further rig, because that's exactly what's going on. Let me just set this out. In 2008, and in 2010, California voters by ballot initiative decided that instead of the politicians drawing the maps in Sacramento, he would be put in the hands of an independent districting commission. The first ballot initiative was for the state legislature districts, second one for congressional districts. So 2010, that when it came in, the independent district in commission was set up called the Citizens Districting Commission. Here's what happened. And I've spoken to people
Starting point is 00:37:03 involved in the process. It was supposed to be just members of the public, independent, no politicians, or guess what? The Democrats totally hijacked that process. The lawyers for the commission, so-called independent commission, guess who they were. They were the DNC law firm, the Obama-Biden campaign at the time. They were the lawyers. The person who drew the maps was a Democrat data expert who's exactly the guy they've guy called Paul Mitchell, who's exactly the guy that Gavin Newsom turned to just now to rig the maps again. So the whole thing was hijacked by the Democrats. What was the outcome? Today in California, even before this further rigging that Prop 50 is all about, here are the numbers. Roughly 40% of California for the last 20 years has voted Republican, been a very steady number.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Today, we have 17% of the House seats. That's today. If this goes through, and they've drawn it specifically to steal another five House seats from Republicans, the numbers will be as follows. 40% vote, 6% of the House seats. Put it another way, it would take 193,000 votes to elect a Democrat to Congress, 1.52 million votes to elect a Republican. That's what's at stake here. And the only reason this is happening, the only reason is because Gavin Newsom wants to run for president, and he wants to be the guy that gave the Democrats and other five House seats so he can turn around say, see, I did this. Now we have the majority. We flip the House. We impeach Trump. And I'm your guy for the nomination. That's the only
Starting point is 00:38:40 reason this is happening. Yeah. And look, we've got, you know, we've got Republicans from California, you know, Kevin Kiley and Daryl Issa. I mean, these are, these are the seats they're going after. They hate that Republicans even have congressional seats in California right now. And they're trying to figure out every way they can to eliminate them. through this kind of trickery. And I just want to be very clear about what I've tried to do because this whole thing is totally unconstitutional and illegal. They've rammed it through.
Starting point is 00:39:11 They rammed it through their puppet legislature. Even when Gavin Euston first floated this, Democrats in California thought it was a joke. They didn't take it seriously. They said, how can we possibly do it? It's so shameless and brazen. What are you talking about? It's so rigged.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Even they knew how rigged it was. Here's what happened. They rammed it through the legislature to put this on the ballot. But Republicans in Sacramento filed two lawsuits in the California State Supreme Court to try and stop it. They were immediately tossed out by the California Supreme Court. Then I filed a lawsuit in federal court on the constitutionality of it because the whole thing violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution, which states that one person, one vote, means that every vote should have equal value, which means that every district should have roughly equal population. How can they possibly meet that test when millions of people have left California, driven out by the insane taxes and regulations and costs since the last census? And you've had whole neighborhoods burnt to the ground in Los Angeles.
Starting point is 00:40:05 They have no idea who lives where and where they can meet that constitutional test. So I filed a federal lawsuit to stop this thing from happening. Because by the way, this ridiculous election that nobody asked for is basically a corrupt contribution to Gavin Newsom's presidential campaign. It's costing California taxpayers $300 million. So I filed in September a federal lawsuit to block it. Newsom played for time. The federal judge, we then said, you've got to get on with this. We called for a preliminary injunction in the beginning of October.
Starting point is 00:40:36 They were still delaying and delaying. So we just filed to speed up the process. They gave us a court date, wait, for it of November the 6th, two days after the election. So then we appealed that and said, you've got to have an expedited hearing. We just heard yesterday that that was turned down. A Biden judge turned down an expedited hearing and didn't even engage on the legal argument that obviously you need to have this heard before the election
Starting point is 00:41:03 and said that it is our fault for taking too long in the first place when we were just following the law. This whole thing is outrageous. And we're not letting it drop, by the way. Whatever happens, we're going to get a hearing on November 6th. But here's the point that you made exactly right. You've got to go out and vote. We've got to get those.
Starting point is 00:41:20 votes in no 150. I was at UCLA last night in Los Angeles. I'm all over the state. We've got to vote no on 50 because it's not just about California. It's the whole country. This would give Democrats five seats and that is what they want to do. Use it to flip the house and impeach President Trump. It's so crazy. You know, I marvel at you and any Republican who runs in California because I always think like you are running uphill against the most corrupt system in the entire country. What you just described that like that gauntlet that you're trying to run through that's designed to just drop you into a pit of lava wherever you go. Somehow you're still staying at what like why? Why are you even doing this, Steve? So I love this state. Look, I've moved here with my wife
Starting point is 00:42:06 and my two sons, 2012 from England. Previously, you know, most of my career events, you know, people know me from the TV on Fox News and so on, but most of my career has been in business. I started my own businesses, worked all over the world, started restaurants, all of that stuff. So I've been a doer, right, not just a talker. Before moving here, just before that, I was in 10 Downing Street, senior advisor to the prime minister. And as the years have gone on, and I see California, which has given me such amazing opportunities. You know, I taught that Stanford started a business here, had this whole new career in the media. I love this country so much, became an American in 2021.
Starting point is 00:42:41 I love California. It's the best place in the world, as far as I'm concerned. These people are wrecking it, absolutely wrecking it. And I cannot stand to see that happen. My parents were Hungarian immigrants, right? I know what it's like to kind of be a working class immigrant and that dream of climbing the ladder of opportunities being destroyed in California.
Starting point is 00:42:58 And so we've got to fight back. And I'm telling you, people look at that and say, well, how can a Republican win? There's a majority for change in California. Over 65% said the state's going in the wrong direction. I mean, we can say, who on earth of the 35, you think it's going in the right direction. But still, the elections next year for governor,
Starting point is 00:43:16 and I'm very, very confident I can win because people are sick of this, especially working class people and small businesses. They're the ones being crushed by this Democrat elitism. Okay, so greasy Gavin Newsom is on the way out and crazy Katie Porter could be on the way in. So we've got a bunch of video. I've got endless video of this chick.
Starting point is 00:43:42 Katie Porter just did a local interview in Sacramento. And when she did the interview, she cuts it short with the interviewer because she was asked a question, which I can see why it's scandalous, which is, what are you going to do to appeal to Trump voters? It's just like, like, I'm pretty sure, you know, Steve, I know you haven't been a politician for that long, but this feels like politician 101. It's like, what are you going to do to appeal to voters? And she loses her mind. How day. I want people to see this. Here's a cut 13.
Starting point is 00:44:11 He's Katie Porter, cutting the interview short because of a normal. question. And we've also asked the other candidates, do you think you need any of those 40% of California voters to win? And you're saying, no, you don't. No, I'm saying I'm going to try to win every vote I can. And what I'm saying to you is that. Well, to those voters, okay, so you I don't want to keep doing this. I'm going to call it. Thank you. You're not going to do the interview with us. Nope, not like this. I'm not, not with seven follow-ups to every single question you ask. Every other candidate has answered our followers. I don't care. I don't care. I want to have pleasant positive conversation which you ask me about every issue on this list and if every
Starting point is 00:44:50 question you're going to make up a follow-up question then we're never going to get there and we're just going to circle around i am an investigative reporter i have never had to do this before ever you've never had to have a conversation with an interview okay but every other candidate has done this what part of i'm me i'm running for governor because i'm a leader so i am going to make so you're not going to answer questions from reporters okay Why don't we go through? I will continue to ask follow-up questions because that's my job as a journalist. But I will go through and ask these.
Starting point is 00:45:21 And if you don't want to answer, you don't want to answer. So nearly every legislative... I don't want to have an unhappy experience for these. Okay. All right. So Steve, when you saw that, when that came out, did you think to yourself, well, Christmas came early? It's amazing.
Starting point is 00:45:38 This is wonderful. Well, the only problem is they're going to dump her and have someone else. Look, the thing is that it's amazing. It's amazing. I've watched it so many times. I've done so many interviews on it, and it just never gets old. You just think, but the attitude that's revealed there, the contempt for any kind of accountability, the arrogance, the entitlement. That is the attitude of all of them, because you've had this 15 years of one party rule. That's how they think. She's a disaster. Look, the machine in California, the Democrat machine that runs things, which by the way, Nancy Pelosi still runs, right? She's the one that controls the California. Democratic machine. And when we talk about the machine, that's basically the party and the activists and the unions. They are the ones that run the show. They don't like Katie Portrait. She's Pelosi doesn't like it. So even before this car crash, they were looking for someone else. And we're hearing that they want to get Alex Padilla, who's the U.S. senator from California.
Starting point is 00:46:34 He's the one that gentleman made a fool of himself. Yeah, he tried to charge Christy Nome. Yeah, I know. Right. That's the guy they think is an improvement. I've got to tell you, there's another thing. I'm just watching this with you and just my jaw dropping at the Katie Porter thing. There was another one. Did you see it earlier this week? I was on with Pierce Morgan talking about Katie Porter and he had this other Democrat candidate uncle, Betty Yee, Betty Yee, who's lower in the polls than Katie Port. She's currently been elected to state wide office. She's the state controller. And Pierce was playing, he played a clip actually from Bill Maher, because he was on the Bill Maher with Katie Porter. So he played,
Starting point is 00:47:12 that clip and it happened to be about trans athletes and he said at the end of the clip just very gently to betty ye by the way where do you stand on that and she went for the classic woke nonce you know oh i think people should be fair you know equal participation and peers morgan just pounced and said right so are you telling me that you think biological men should be went on down that road she clearly never had to justify that position she's trotting out the the classic activist line. Then he said, you're going to be, you want to be governor of California during the Los Angeles Olympics. So what's your position? Do you think that biological venture compete against women? And she said, yes, maybe. He said, which sports, apart from maybe
Starting point is 00:47:58 archery? She said, you know, track and field. What? Track and field. And he said, what, well, with examples. And said, well, you know, maybe the shorter races. And I was watching it just like that with our jaws just dropped, what, like 100 meters? And she said, yes. And then he said, so you want a gender neutral Olympics? And she said, yes, I think that would be fair, gender neutral Olympics. What's, this state is just, I mean, it's so insane. But this shows you they haven't had a proper challenge. They haven't had real account. To be honest, they've never faced a candidate like me, who knows what they're talking about. I got business experience, government experience, media experience. I have absolutely.
Starting point is 00:48:40 no time or patience for any of this nonsense. You've got to tell the truth, call them out. They've got nothing to run on, nothing to stand on. They have the worst results of any state in the country. Newsom is the worst, most useless governor anywhere in the country. We have the highest poverty rate, the highest unemployment rate, the highest taxes, the highest housing costs, highest cost for gas, electricity, the worst business climate. I mean, everything, crime, homelessness, worst third grade reading. It's just a total disaster on every single level. That's why I'm confident in the end they're going to lose because when people say to me, how can a Republican win in California?
Starting point is 00:49:16 I always say with that record, how can a Democrat win? These people need to be kicked out. I just want you to describe these candidates, though, and this idea that men can compete in women's sports. In order to have that position, in order to have that position, you either need to be a moron, a coward, a bigot, or some combination of all three. Because it's an insane position to have. no thinking person has that and so there they are as the major democratic candidates representing it and saying yeah that's what i'm going with so let me let me try the katie porter question on you but
Starting point is 00:49:48 i'm going to invert it if i can the question that she was subjected to the one that she freaked out over and please don't storm off the interview i'm just i'm just asking i'm staying whatever whatever you say bince i'm which which is steve how are you going to work to appeal to people in california who voted for kamala harris there's two things number one The whole focus of my campaign is fighting for working people in California and small businesses. As I said, they're the ones being crushed by these policies. And so my campaign is based on very simple, positive, practical plans to help them, like rolling back the insane climate regulations that have given us the highest gas prices in the country
Starting point is 00:50:28 so we can have $3 gas. Everyone can get behind that. Working class people of every political background because they're the ones driving their cars and trucks hours every day because the high housing cost. to get to work. $3 gas, cut your electric bill, a home you can afford the California tree, not divisive, not ideological, just practical things by cutting the bloat in government and cutting taxes, we can deliver that.
Starting point is 00:50:53 The second point I always make to Democrats and independents is, look, you don't have to become a Republican, but we can all agree that 16 years, as it will be, if you vote, if the Democrats win next year, it will be 20 years of one party rule. not healthy. Everyone can agree about that. If I am the governor at the end of the election next year, the Democrats will still likely control the state legislature. They'll still control the big cities and the counties. It's just a bit of balance that we're looking for. And people can get behind that as well. So I think that they literally don't have an argument. They don't have any argument for another four years of total control of California. And that's why I genuinely
Starting point is 00:51:34 mean it. I know it looks difficult to people. I'm very confident I can win. Last one for you on appealing to Democrats. A bunch of rich Democrats just had their houses burned down at the beginning of the year in Los Angeles, in the Palisades. And what the latest headlines on this, and you're closer to this than I am, but the latest headlines on this is they've only approved like, what, two permits? Two in Malibu. Out of 600 burnt down, yes. 600 burned down two permits so far. That's Malibu.
Starting point is 00:52:01 In Malibu. So I got to believe that some number of the people who live in that community are open to your. message they're like wait a second i want my life back and if i'm going to do that i've got to go with someone who's going to make that happen like are they are they donating to your campaign has anyone reached out to you yeah i am getting down your door right now there are a few in los angeles exactly right um who've been you know literally just the other week someone who hosted fundraisers for biden and before that for and and harris and this person said we can't we we can't go on like this and and you know the broader picture across the three malapu
Starting point is 00:52:39 Pacific Palisades, Altadena, it's like less than 10% of the burnt homes have been, you know, permits have been issued. And they just lie. Karen Bassett, oh, we're streamlining the process. No, you're not. I talk to people every day. They said, you go to the building department. It's the same old story. They say, come back. The next day, it's a different person. They say, oh, we can't give you the permit until you get insurance. The insurance company says, we can't give you insurance until you get a permit, round and round, insane bureaucracy. And actually, the story of those fires, both the lead up to it, which was caused. caused by their extreme environmental policies, which would mean they didn't manage the, you know,
Starting point is 00:53:13 the vegetation properly, so they burnt out of control, the, you know, total failure on the actual response, no water in the reservoirs, no fire in the hydrants, the fire department not pre-deployed, all of that incompetence and the incompetence afterwards. It's actually the story of California. It's this terrible combination of ideological extremism and governing incompetence. And that's given us these disastrous outcomes. We can't let it happen just for the whole country, for the sake of America, it's our biggest state, largest population, the biggest economy in the world.
Starting point is 00:53:45 We cannot just stand by and let California slip further into stagnation and decline. And so we've got to fight hard for this. But right now, exactly as you're saying, the battle is to stop Newsom stealing another five house seats to flip the house and impeach President Trump. So no on 50, anyone listening in California, vote no on 50. If you're not in California, we've got friends there, tell them, get your. voting early we need every vote steve hilton every time i talk to you i think you know what i don't want the san andrea's fault to go off and separate california from us what i'd like to keep it if
Starting point is 00:54:16 people like you are there thank you steve i appreciate your brother good to have you to thank you man see you soon there he is steve steve hilton i made a i made a san andrea's fault joke recently and somebody emailed me from california they're like vince you want me to die i was like no i don't want you to die i just it's just when i get frustrated with California. Sometimes I just want it to separate and then I want it to gently float away. You could just be an island somewhere. But, no, but Steve's trying to bring it back. So thank you. Thank you, Steve. And the most important thing, the governor's race is next year. Right now, vote no on Prop 50. Vote no on Prop 50. Please, please stop the election rigging.
Starting point is 00:54:52 No on 50. Man, that Katie Porter, she's a psycho. She's a psycho. Oh, yeah. Speaking of doing something gently, would you gently tap the like button on the Rumble feed for those of you watching Rubble.com slash fans, just gently tap in. And if you haven't subscribed yet, gently tap subscribe. You can gently tap subscribe on any podcast platform where you get us. I'd appreciate that. That helps the show out big time, big time. And then plus you get the show all the time. That would be wonderful. All right, let's end with another psychotic lib today. This one, this one, you may know him as Don LaMond. He just did a podcast of some kind. I don't know whose podcast this is, but it doesn't matter. Don is staring into a camera.
Starting point is 00:55:32 And Don's new big idea now that he's no longer working at CNN is that black people and brown people need to arm up to shoot ICE agents who knock on their doors. That's right. Here's Don Lamont. Cut six. Watch. Black people, brown people of all stripes, whether you're an Indian American or a Mexican American or whoever you are, go out in your plate where you live and get a gun legally. get a license to carry legally because when you have people knocking on your door and taking you away without due process as a citizen isn't that what the second amendment was written for i love there's there's so much about that clip that uh that uh i just am rolling with laughter in some cases over but i'm also nervous about i'm worried about so what don is saying is that hey, these ICE agents who are doing their jobs, you should shoot them is the message that Don is
Starting point is 00:56:38 sending there. And I'm judging Don on the way, the same way that he would conduct any analysis if he was talking about Donald Trump. But he's being pretty explicit there. He's being, he's not being subtle at all. He's being very explicit that, yeah, you should shoot these guys. That sounds like incitement. So I'd like the feds. Wouldn't that be great? Maybe we should make it, let's, okay, we're making an official VIN show referral to the feds right now. take a look at what Don Lemon is advocating for here. But then he ends with, aren't guns to stop a tyrannical government? Isn't that what the Second Amendment is for?
Starting point is 00:57:10 Well, the last part is true. Where were you all these years on CNN? I don't remember that assessment that guns are for preventing a government from growing completely out of control, that the populace should be armed as a ballwork against a tyrannical government. Yes, that is true. Where was that? Instead, Don was always talking about taking your guns away.
Starting point is 00:57:33 Don was always advocating for how do we disarm law-abiding citizens. That guy doesn't believe in anything. He doesn't believe in anything. In fact, if you'd like, I played a Dan Bongino clip earlier in the program. And if you want to do something fun, go back in time and watch the debate on CNN between Don LaMahn and Dan Bonjino, where Don had Dan on his program because he wanted to attack Donald. Donald Trump. Donald Trump had said that speaking of Hillary Clinton, he goes, you know, people who believe in the Second Amendment are going to work to stop Hillary Clinton, which is true and was true. People who love the Second Amendment, who value your Second Amendment rights. People worked really hard to make sure that Hillary Clinton never got to see the inside of the Oval Office as president of the United States. And God bless you for it. So Trump said that on the campaign trail. And Don Lamont and all of the lefties over on CNN were pretending that that President Trump, then candidate Trump was advocating for violence that, oh, he was calling for people to shoot Hillary. It was just nonsense.
Starting point is 00:58:35 So he brought, he brought Dan Bongino on. And Bonino wiped the floor with Don Lamont, just destroyed him. And it was like, really? You're going to go with that interpretation of events and not the most obvious one, which is that people want to protect their Second Amendment rights. So they're going to vote for President Trump, vote for Donald Trump in order to protect them. Don did not like that. Don did not like that at all.
