Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, we're rolling. It's machine. It is John Dagle from Establish the Run, the season long bro, the waiver wire bro. He has been helping you all season. Thank you for checking us out if you are for the first time or if this is your fifth episode that you're tuning in for. Either way, welcome. Thank you. Don't listen to Jake about anything about fantasy football or gambling in general.
Starting point is 00:00:24 I'm just going to go and throw that out there. Just don't listen to him across the board and you'll probably be better. off. I say that now I'm also going to say go watch his stand-up this Friday at Petacolus over here in Dallas. He's coming over this way, so I told him I'd go. I'm going to promote it for him because he's too bashful and not that kind of guy, but at Petacolus this Friday night, they're doing a stand-up series, and Jake is a part of it. I think he's got like eight or so minutes. So if we packed the house with Jake supporters, I think that'd be fantastic. But enough of those guys. Thank Dan and Jake for having us on their channel.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Thank John Daigle for being here from Establish the Run. Man, I was listening to Evan and Levitan not five minutes ago on the team by team. How are you? How are things? Do you feel like you got a handle on this thing? Doing well. I'll get tagged in for the rest of Season 150 show on the Establish the Run free podcast feed tomorrow. Until then, we're five weeks in.
Starting point is 00:01:25 I'm still asking a lot of questions, but in my NABest, routine do I figure do I think I have a lot more figured out this time absolutely the issue though for this dumb little game we play in fantasy football is that we're already at the Isaiah bond Brandon Cook's portions of the year and they're and they matter given how many buys and port and players are on by this week so we'll talk through all that throughout the show yeah I mean there really is a staying plugged in man manager of the year like tax that goes into this. If you just like keep grinding through these weeks when people are,
Starting point is 00:02:08 you know, short a couple by week players. I mean, this week, it's some heavy hitters. It's Bengals, lions, dolphins, Vikings. Dolphins you don't necessarily care about. But I mean, I got a lot of Chase Brown. I got a lot of Jamar Chase. I got a lot of the lions where I could get them. I got decent amount of Vikings backfield and Justin Jefferson where I could get it.
Starting point is 00:02:30 So when that collides with some significant injuries, it can cause some problems for you. So you can manage your way out of some losses or at least give yourself a chance. So appreciate you. Last week was relevant for where we're at for fantasy football right now because remember, we opened the week thinking Dante Myers and Mike Jaseki were going to be two of the most important starts. By Saturday, we realized you can't even start either of them. And that's just where we're at. Same thing goes for pivoting from like Keaton Mitchell on my benches
Starting point is 00:03:03 or my teams where I needed running backs to Marshawn Lloyd all of a sudden because we lost Chris Brooks. And so this backfill becomes two-headed, which is much more easier to configure than just three-headed guys on a team that can't run the ball. That's kind of what's going to happen for Woody Marks. We're going to be watching Jamie and Pierce closely this week. So we're just at the time of the year where we're going to talk about it
Starting point is 00:03:25 to get you ahead of what could happen to help you when your lineup. but ultimately Saturday, Sunday morning, you're going to double check again. Yeah, it's all funny tweet that was like, shout out to all the hungover dudes that left Gisicki in their lineup and still got a touchdown out of them. Yeah. Didn't work out for Myers that way, but yeah, so yeah, Seiki. Yeah, yeah. I'm going to bring up, we got a comment, so I'm going to bring it out.
Starting point is 00:03:49 First time I'm going to try this. David Montgomery has been trashed. You're right, Jerry. You're right. You're right. You're right, Jerry. You're damn right, brother. but there's still time.
Starting point is 00:04:01 We'll talk about this a lot with Chase Brown because everyone's hitting the freakout point of Chase Brown's season. And I'm going to remind you that last year he did the same exact shit. And there's still time whether or not you believe it or not or whether or not your teams are 0 and 4 or 1 in 3 or you might be heading into a bad week at 0 and 4 with a bunch of buys and a bunch of injuries. The story of this fantasy season, I don't even think, has begun to be told necessarily because Chase Brown did it the final 10 weeks last year
Starting point is 00:04:33 and then we started taking Chase round into first round this year. Like that's an automatic thing. So there's so much time left, man. I know O and 4 sucks right now. You kind of want to scratch at least one or two out in that first month or one and four, I guess it would be after we're five weeks in. But man, there's so much time left. There's so much time for Dave Montgomery to have a good two months
Starting point is 00:04:55 and everyone forget about that. Not that I think he's going to, but anyway, teams coming off the by, and that's always an interesting conversation for me of like, if these offenses weren't working or if a situation needs to be adjusted, that's usually when teams do it. That's usually when rookies get ramped up a little bit more coming out of the buy. These two teams don't have a lot of impactful rookies,
Starting point is 00:05:17 but I wanted to ask your opinion if you had a read on anything that might shift for the chiefs coming off of their buy and the Panthers coming off of thereby. I think the most obvious one is maybe Kenneth Walker usage, but I want to hear what you say. Not really, honestly. There are not many too many rookies that we think you could get involved. You don't want to take touches away. My personal view of it, curious to hear your thoughts from Kenneth Walker, who's truly making an impact and making Patrick Mahomes his life easier. The big picture takeaway is that both of these teams needed to buy, Jalen Coker, Xavier Liget, both banged, up for the Panthers heading into the buy.
Starting point is 00:05:58 So we'll see if Coker comes back healthy. If he is, remember, he was a top 36 receiver. So much so he was the overall wide receiver one, I believe, in week one. And then, of course, the Chiefs hit at the perfect time after Rishie Rice, injured his hamstring in the first quarter the last time we saw them, Tyquon Thornton's ankle pointed the other direction. And so we're going to find out if Rishie Rice is out, Tyree Kills' court case seems to be going the other way and that it does not look like they'll sign him
Starting point is 00:06:25 anymore. So Jalen Royals, I do a couple industry leagues waivers because they like to get them done by Tuesday afternoon so they can point out like who the quote unquote experts picked up. I did get Jaylon Royals in a couple of leagues for like a couple bucks, if only because he could be starting right across from Xavier Worthy this upcoming week. So I think that's the most important takeaway for me here is that they just needed this buy to get healthier. Yeah, I think the chiefs definitely did. It'll be interesting to see now that you've removed Taekwon Thornton, if Rishi Rice, number one, he needs time. He's coming off an injury that he'd spent most of the rehab in jail. So I would assume there's very few situations where I'm like, oh, that injury is going to get better over the year.
Starting point is 00:07:15 But Rishie Rice getting worked in more, I assume that was going to be a thing that was going to take a little bit of time. We've got a couple pops and then you forget and you kind of get off that train and you're like, oh, he's ready. good. But obviously you heard himself in their last game. You get a nice two-week break there to get healthy and they need him in the passing game. There's really, I mean, were these been, were these available in a handful of leagues? I would absolutely check and see if Xavier Worthy's available in your league. Just one of those dudes that people gets frustrated with, that people get frustrated with and could be out there. But I think, I think looking across the AFC West and what the chiefs are going to be dealing with, I think they're going to at some point
Starting point is 00:07:59 this season start thinking about, maybe we don't need to give Kenneth Walker 25 touches a game. And I don't know if that's right now. Like that's probably not week six, you know. But I think at some point, they would like to have Emmett Johnson handle enough carries to where they can say, hey, I know Kenneth Walker's gotten hurt every single year he's played in a significant way. maybe if I could take two or three touches off his plate and also strengthen our depth with giving Emmett Johnson some more touches. That would make a lot of sense to me, and any reads a smart coach.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Not that either going to come out this week and it's going to be like split backfield or something like that. But it's the thing you start considering in the by week. You start looking at your usage, your reps for guys and going, oh, shit. Like we've really, really used this guy too much. And then Panthers, man, if they could have skipped their buy with the way they're playing offensive, I think they might have taken that option even with the Jalen Coker injury because they were humming, dude. Tett had one of the most remarkable games that I've seen in a while. So he was cooking.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Coker being healthy is obviously a big thing for them, but I don't know if Coker's ever going to be consistently healthy. I think he's kind of destined for a banged up guy role. But no, I mean, they don't have a choice really. They're going to use Chuba. they don't have another past catch maybe they went into the biweek and kind of assess their team and we're like we need to start calling on tight ends that can catch the football because I think that would help because Darren Waller's fine but like there's a lot of space in there. Whenever you see something from a guy like Waller who you know is super limited and you're like
Starting point is 00:09:41 what I've actually put a good player in that role. That's what I'm always thinking. And so I assume they took a pretty hard look at what was working. for them and what wasn't and their defense has been bad so maybe they they get a little bit a little bit more stingy on defense and we've talked about already how bryce young has played one of the easier schedules in the entire league so i think this week will be a a good litmus test for jaylen coke or bryce young see how they fare against the eagles yeah um okay let's get to uh waiver wire and injury matrix stuff if you want to jump into so i don't this is one of the
Starting point is 00:10:15 one of the early weeks where i'm like i save a little money this week and so this one out, just to be honest. I know there are leagues where you don't have the option, and I'm in enough leagues where I don't have the option, just not pay attention to the waiver wire. But talk me into somebody besides, or you can just talk me into Jeremy Bernard and Brenton Strange, but if there's someone else that really piques your interest,
Starting point is 00:10:38 that you want to plant your flag on, the floor is yours for waiver wire. Given injuries and biweeks, I think it's important at least everyone go and check their waiver wire for, One at the quarterback position, Jaden Daniels, since it's possible, he was dropped for injury. And one of the last couple of games, but we saw him return for over 100 yards rushing, what is likely to be a shootout on Monday night against the 49ers.
Starting point is 00:11:08 And for as much noise as everyone wants to make about Josh Allen, Jaden Daniels outscored him. Drake Mays also quietly been now the QB1 overall and back-to-back. weeks outscoring Josh Allen in both weeks. So just double-check your waiver wire for those two individuals, since everyone could have been fed up with Drake May as well. They should be started every single week. We already talked about Jalen Coker. No one's seen him play football in two weeks.
Starting point is 00:11:33 He was injured. He went on by. Could have been dropped. Double-checked there. Jordan Tyson expected to be activated or have his 21-day practice window since that's the protocol, 21-day practice window. And then you usually don't see a player for a couple weeks. Jordan Tyson were expecting around week nine
Starting point is 00:11:51 whenever the Saints come back from Paris and they can ramp them up more. His red flag coming out of college was that he was injury prone. He then got injured in the preseason and we haven't seen him play since. But in season-long football, we swing for the fences and more importantly, I always zoom out
Starting point is 00:12:09 on waiver wire weeks like this week where the top pickup is someone I'm excited about. We'll get to him in a moment in Jeremy Bernard. But if you have a free IR slot, you can go straight to Jordan Tyson if you don't need Jimmy Bernard to start immediately. And I always look at all of my rosters that way
Starting point is 00:12:25 because that will then vary my decision based on who I picked up based on my needs right now. So look for Jordan Tyson. Same thing goes for Woody Marks. There isn't a single good running back available this week. Woody Marks is actually surprisingly, I don't know why,
Starting point is 00:12:43 rostered in a majority of both ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper Leagues. So he's not even written about in the column I do and establish the run. Had he been available, though, he probably would have been the number one pickup and a split decision based on your needs at running back and wide receiver with Jeremy Bernard. Woody Mark's not expecting him to do anything this week. We talk about the Jaguars Front 7 constantly and that the most running back yards they've allowed to anyone going back to last year was 74.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Jonathan Taylor, you just can't run on them. But we already saw last year. Woody Marks down the stretch after the team's by, handled over 16 touches per game as a touch-based RB2. That's what you're going to get without Dave Montgomery now week to week with a groin injury. So check on him. And then, as I mentioned already, Marshawn Lloyd, who I did not drop because I'm that desperate in a lot of leagues so much so I pivoted to him
Starting point is 00:13:39 and started him last week. And now what we've seen is him not only be the goal lineback over Caleb Johnson, to hand a majority of the team's touches last week without Chris Brooks, but also the week prior where Chris Brooks got injured, Marshaun Lloyd did have a 16 and a half percent target shares of receiving back as well. It's the Cowboys defense up next to despite Bucky Irving handling a season low and backfield touches. Bucky Irving had a career high in rushing yards because that's how bad the Cowboys are.
Starting point is 00:14:07 So expecting both Marshawn Lloyd and Caleb Johnson to get there. Yeah, I think I just went through before here and was kind of, checking on my leagues and there was at least somebody that I didn't expect and I think every league but one my deepest super flex tight-in premium league like everybody's just gone there's too many bench spots but I think in every league I was like scrolling and you can go to the trends page you can go to the available page sort by ownership however you do it but just make sure and do that all of your leagues because you might check around and like oh Dallas Goddarts out there yeah that That's a good ad.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Xavier Worthy was another one you mentioned that. Worthy's, I checked in a friend's 12-team league, and Xavier Worley was shockingly right there. It's like, okay, he didn't need to be dropped. But for biweeks and injuries, these things happen. Yeah, and along the lines of Jordan Tyson, Charbonnet's window is open. And I think they have to get him on an active roster in the next week or two.
Starting point is 00:15:08 And Seahawks are kind of hurting for someone to touch the football that won't fumble it three times a game. If you watch that game with George Halani, and Emmanuel Wilson's been fine, but obviously Charbonnet has a track record there. So there's somebody in all of your leagues. If you're looking for a quick fix, like Jeremy Bernard is super interesting to me. Just prospect profile kind of read like a dude that would be a better pro. Can kind of do it all.
Starting point is 00:15:38 I don't know if he's going to be a super high target earner, but everything that everyone was saying about like stribling, I was like, no, that's actually Jeremy Bernard. What are we talking about? It just felt like we were applying like all the wrong stuff, wishcasting, straddling into a thing where I was like, actually, Jeremy Bernard's good. I know he's not on a good offense and no one's going to get super fired up about it, but we're at that point already heading into week six
Starting point is 00:16:02 where Jeremy Bernard is going to be a thing because Michael Pittman, surprise, injured for an extended period of time. And Aaron Roger, I guess the shocking part of all this is that Aaron Rogers looks okay. and they have a viable offense. So hype me up on some Jeremy Bernard. So to your point, Jeremy Bernard transferred to Alabama for his last two years in college, earned a 21 and a half percent target share in the SEC, proving he can earn targets against NFL caliber players.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Last week, Michael Pittman missed his second game of the year, put on Ender Reserve. Roman Wilson got injured with a finger, messed up his fingers in the first quarter. And now he's also going to be out for multiple weeks. Jeremy Bernard then stepped in and spiked the 30% target share, which is the highest for any player for the Steelers this year. Michael Pittman has missed two games this season. Bernard's been targeted on 26% of his routes in those games.
Starting point is 00:16:57 D.K. Metcalfe, for reference, targeting on only 17% of his routes. So, Jeremy Bernard's range of outcomes, as he's already proven, is being the best wide receiver for the Steelers. That's why you're picking him up and starting him this week. Again, when it comes down to him or Woody Marks, whenever they're out there, you just ask yourself which one you need a running back or wide receiver more. But it seems like Jerry Bernard has real staying power, which is why I do believe he's worth $17 to $19 in your typical $100 fab home leap. I believe we'll get it done.
Starting point is 00:17:30 And then after him, because there's only really two or three relevant pickups this week, universally. After him, another guy to check your waiver wire for, because he's available in the majority of leagues is Jonah Coleman, Broncos running back, who everyone who's listening to this show the first month is already familiar with because he blew our fab on him because he was the only healthy Broncos running back, only to be the only injured Broncos running back 48 hours later. But Sean Payton, as we expected, we talked about this a little bit last week,
Starting point is 00:18:02 took overplay calling duties from Davis Webb. The biggest changes, because the offense still sucks because Bo Dix is your quarterback. But the biggest changes were R.J. Harvey led every player at his position. Christian McCaffrey, Jemir Gibbs, Bejohn Robinson included, and Target Share with Davis Webb for the first month, 21.2%. And Sean Payton's first game calling plays, R.J. Harvey, meaningless 4.5% target share. Just not used at all as J.K. Dobbins handled a season high 80% share of backfield touches and also scored a season high 15.5 expected points that week as well in front of his first touchdown. of the season. Having said that, we also know if you give J.K. Dobbins, 80% of the backfield touches, if that's your plan, you have a two-week lifespan. That's it. So Jonah Coleman being
Starting point is 00:18:49 eligible to return in week seven, a player who they already were turning to in his first game in week two scored the game-winning touchdown against the Jaguars. And that one, he finished fourth among all running backs and his rate of 10-yard carries as an explosive player. The range of outcomes now for Jonah Coleman is not only just being available when, not if Jacob Dobman's injured, but also if they're not going to use R.J. Harvey in the passing game, Coleman can return and get three points that way. So I still love double checking Jonah Coleman and being ahead of him. And then the only other one I would say like I'm fighting for this week is in deeper leagues. So in leagues like you and I are in, 14 team leagues that
Starting point is 00:19:32 people listen to this show. I want to be ahead of Dylan Sam. as well. So there's, there's a lot of moving pieces here for the Browns in that Quinn Sean Juckins was in a walking boot after the game against the Jets on Sunday. Also that Rahim Sanders suffered a hip injury, their backup running back in that game and got moved to Ender Reserve. And Dylan Sampson has been sitting on injured reserve this entire time.
Starting point is 00:20:00 I honestly wasn't sure when he was going to return. Then, like, out of nowhere, they mentioned actually, like we're going to start getting him involved and potentially activate them off in reserve this upcoming week. So in the short term, you know, all these guys, Samson, Sanders, Junkins may not play, which leaves Jalil M'Gloughlin in the Will Shippley role from last week and that he's their only viable running back. So if he's, all that's left when the dust is cleared, you could start Jol Ligloffin for being the only available running back for Cleveland. But long term, we've seen already that Quintan Juckins is struggling immensely.
Starting point is 00:20:37 So much so, you know, as we talked about in the preseason, we mentioned this on one of our first shows, most worried about him, Cam Scataboo, Alec Pierce, and who was the other player? Oh, Chris Godwin, because of the injuries, the serious injuries they were turning from. And for Scataboo and Judkins, it was the fibula fractures. But now we're seeing like these.
Starting point is 00:21:02 fibula fractures for Quintch on Junkins, for example, there have been, let's see here, I'm quickly looking it up right now, there have been 72 running backs with 10 carries in the league this year, and Juckins currently ranks 53rd in success rate among all of them. His longest run of the season is 14 yards. So this is not a situation like Will Shipley, Damien Pierce, Jaliel McLaughin, where they are starting only because everyone else is injured. Dylan Samson can come back and just be better than Quintan Juckins moving forward. So I think those are my three most important pickups for this week. Yeah, and old habits kind of die hard last week in all my home leagues.
Starting point is 00:21:48 I think it was like a big time arm wrestling battle over the Eagles running backs. And I noticed you didn't mention Damien Pierce. and for good reason, obviously. But as of today, I don't think they've added anybody to their active roster or signed anybody or signed Z. And they're not going to. Maybe Jayden Balloo gets the call. They probably go with fullback Carson Steele behind Damien Pierce.
Starting point is 00:22:15 But we also know, like Will Shipley's runout was multiple games. We know Damien Pierce is maximum one game and we never see them again, right? There's a difference in that outlook, getting a starter for multiple games, as opposed to Damian Shipley, Damien Pierce, who I don't even think is going to start this week, the Eagles sound slightly confident that both Saquan Barkley and Devontah Smith are returning this week. So I am not as high in fighting for Damien Pierce as highly as other individuals. Yeah, that was, he's just gotten a lot of airtime. The same way Shipley did last week, and I was like, that's the wrong read.
Starting point is 00:22:55 But then you kind of got saved by a Shipley touchdown, and he got you, you know, like eight points. overall or something like that. But, you know, it's one of those teams. I mean, Eagles have kind of become, there's like an Eagles tax. Like there is usually like a Cowboys tax whenever you're playing in leagues that are in Texas where those guys are just like, people are so in on their news. They know they're like too deep because they've been such a good team. And it's, they almost got to win last week too.
Starting point is 00:23:22 With that, with the shit offense they're rolling out there. But, okay, let's see if there's anybody else in your waiver wireless that interests me. Wix, I had to start Wix and a pinch situation last week, so I was happy you got a couple points. Chris Bell makes an appearance again. Keenan Allen, I know that's gross, but hey guys, we're at that point. If you can get nine targets a week, guaranteed. He's played two games without Alec Pierce, and he's out-targeted Josh Downs. Yeah, that breaks my heart, man. That's a hard one to realize and to, to hear whatever I heard it the other day I was like ah yeah downs come on man um okay uh let's see
Starting point is 00:24:09 if I can decipher on the injury matrix which stuff is new well a lot of it's new actually there's a lot of it new yeah a lot of it new someone dies every single week yeah it didn't feel as bad this weekend this weekend didn't feel as bad it didn't feel as bad it didn't feel like we had to sacrifice it was bad but it was bad um so uh what's happening as you're about to go through what's happening now is there's cluster injuries. The Niners are literally missing five wide receivers, which is why Brandon Cooks is legitimately startable in like deeper 12-team leagues
Starting point is 00:24:39 because they only have Mike Evans and Jacob Cowling, and we know they're not going to start Jacob Cowing. Yeah. Okay, so the aforementioned Dave Montgomery is going to miss. He's week to week, I think, is the listing on him. His soft tissue or something. I can't remember it was a hamstring or whatever growing. Woody Marks.
Starting point is 00:24:59 as Daigle mentioned, could be your target there. And that's what we've needed. Again, they're a back that's been hit behind the line of scrimmage on 54% of their carries. They can't run the ball at all. So just like the Packers running backs, the only way we get one there, regardless of how bad both Woody Marks and Dave Montgomery have been, if Woody Marks were the one that was injured, Dave Montgomery would also be a top 24 bat now because he gets everything.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Woody Marks now instead gets everything. Thus, he's naturally a volume-based play. Yeah, and I think that obviously the preseason play there was we assumed Dave Montgomery's shade of owning the backfield would look significantly different than Woody Marks's shade of owning the backfield. And now that we're five weeks in, I'm like, I don't know if it's going to look any fucking different. Like, I think it's just going to be the same mess of a run game. And maybe Woody Marks catches more passes. And that gives you an edge in fantasy. But, yeah, Montgomery, if you're, I mean, it's almost like,
Starting point is 00:25:59 it's almost like mercy at some point where you're like, I don't want to start this guy. I have to start this guy. Oh, now he's hurt. Now I can rest now, brother. Like it's one of those. And there are some leagues where you can and a 10 team league, you're probably dropping Dave Montgomery for Woody Marks in a 12 and 14 team league.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I'm trying to hold on to him still because the same thing could happen that in handling all these touches, Woody Marks gets injured. Montgomery comes back suddenly we have a starting running back. So again, I navigate. all of these based on my own size and waiver wires of rosters, but I'm not actively trying to drop David Montgomery in this landscape of running backs. Yeah, and that's a great point, I think, is to know what kind of league you're in, know the depth of the league you're in. If you drop somebody, do you have zero chance of ever seeing them again? Is it a sharp league where they're just going to jump in
Starting point is 00:26:52 there and that guy's gone? Or, you know, is it like a fun league? And it's a little bit of money, but people aren't going to be freaking out on the waiver wire all the time. And can you get, how deep are the benches? All right, let's see. Michael Pittman Jr., Steelers, Roethers, Michael Pittman, Jr. and Roman Wilson, we talked about Jeremy Bernard. The entire Eagles backfield is out leading Damien Pierce. Quinn John Judkins, Rahim Sanders.
Starting point is 00:27:21 We talked about that. Wenzhouen McLaughlin. Chris Brooks has opened the door for Marshawn Lloyd and Caleb Johnson. to solely, or not solely, but the two Ultimo Ambris in the Packers' backfield, last guy standing. Alec Pierce, Keenan Allen, as we just talked about, DeVante Smith, if he misses time, Donatavian Wix, and Darius Cooper, who catched out for me a little bit last week. I was like, F it, we'll troll this again. Darius Cooper delivered for me, which was pretty awesome.
Starting point is 00:27:55 But it looks like DeVante Smith might play. Cooper has been good enough to where they might mix him in with Dantavian Wicks and Mackay Lemon in the interim, because he has been arguably like their best wide receiver these last two weeks. But he is the one, especially with Dallas Goddard back. He is the one that goes back on the back burner here. Yeah. We did get a question about Jeremy Bernard, so I wanted to pull it up from Stephen. Would you rather roster Kendra Miller, not Kendra Miller.
Starting point is 00:28:26 I don't know who that lady is, but Kendra. Dray Miller or Jeremy Bernard. I get what you're saying, Stephen. And the answer for me is quite clearly Jeremy Bernard. Kendry Miller this past week, Alvin Kamara on the injury report all week long with the back injury, limited this past game. But I think it was quite telling how they view their backfill.
Starting point is 00:28:46 One is one that just can't run the ball well. And they're using like the Chargers three running back, which as we've talked about, for the Packers for everyone is a massive disaster. You really can't squeeze the juice out of those types of committees. But even with Camara limited, Kearnsry Miller handled a season high, 50% share of the team's touches,
Starting point is 00:29:05 but he ran just one route to C.J. Donaldson's 14. Thus, if Alvin Camara were ever out in just in general, then based on the small sample projection, C.J. Donaldson becomes Alvin Camara. Kendri Miller only handles early down and has to score a touchdown to really provide that value, whereas Jeremy Borda, as he showed us last week, and get there. regardless of who's available. So I think it's Jeremy Bernard.
Starting point is 00:29:32 And Etienne will be back at some point or A chain, Ateam will be back at some point. He hasn't earned Achan yet. It's ETN. So it's different. It's completely different scenarios to me. And you might need a running back for this week. You might be in a real shitty spot. Or you might have the roster flex where you can play an upside guy like Jeremy Bernard and your roster. So you're going to have to read that. But on, you know, on the level. Drew and Bernard's more exciting could build out a role that stays rest of season, realistically.
Starting point is 00:30:04 It's just a completely different scenario than a whatever fourth year running back in Kendrae Miller, who's often injured and is getting split three different ways. But thank you for the question, Steve. Back to the injury matrix. Mack Collins, I don't know how Drake May did it, but DeMario Douglas and Efton Chisholm, the third, we're really cooking in that game. Yeah, and now we have six quarters, basically,
Starting point is 00:30:35 without Mack Hollins, and Efton Chisholm leads the Patriots with a 22.5% target share. DeMario Douglas is behind him with 20%. And Douglas also, those six quarters, has three in zone targets to Romeo Dubs' four. So they're all relevant because Drake May is back to being Drake May and the near MVP that he was last year.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Yeah, it makes me really excited about my AJ Brown shares that are waiting there. Let's see. Moving on down the list. If DJ Moore misses another week in Jan Coleman, who had a better game than the box score told you last week. I think he had two or three passes that were called back by penalty. C.D. Lamb has a thigh issue, and that's why he was being a turd on Thursday night. So Ryan Flernoe, who really tears it up. He and Jake Ferguson tear it up whenever CD Lamb missed his time.
Starting point is 00:31:28 So interested to see how that rolls out. I don't have a read on that one as of yet. Marvin Harrison Jr. is gone. So Kendrick Boar steps into some of his role. We talked about Rashire Ice and Tequan Thornton, meaning Jalen Royals and maybe Terry Kill. Jalen Coker, Liggett, some person by the name of Bryson-Tremaine. would be the benefit. There's a wide receiver two that they use before the buy.
Starting point is 00:31:58 Yeah. Love it. Love it. That's why Ted McMillan got 22 targets or whatever that game was. He played the lines as well, but those two reasons, yes, because he played with something called Bryce and Tremaine. A person, allegedly, a Bryce and Tremaine. Casey Concepcion got the piss knocked out of him on a crossing route. Minka Fitzpatrick lit him up. So Isaiah Bond and Jerry Judy would be the answers there.
Starting point is 00:32:23 I say Vaughn, by the way, had two big drops in that game. He did. And so he turned his seven targets into 74 yards. Jerry Judy turned his seven targets into 19 yards because he's Jerry Judy. Yeah, Isaiah Bond, man. Same stuff that'll make you laugh will make you cry. Like, it's just brutal to watch him. Let's see, all the 49ers are out except for, I guess, Mike Evans and Brandon Cooks.
Starting point is 00:32:47 So Brandon Cooks would be the benefactor of Debo Stribling, to Mark Robinson and Catero Hodge missing. time. Man, Chargers, my God. Trey Harris gets hurt and his chance to shine. And we're talking about a guy named Theo Weiss, who is a former dolphin. Yeah, the Chargers are on by in week 7-2. So right now I would imagine, even though they have to win unless they truly
Starting point is 00:33:13 punted the season, given that they don't have a win. I would imagine Ladd-McConkie Quentin Johnson and Trey Harris are all out. So that leaves their two starting wide receivers. as special teamer Darius Davis or Marcus Valdus Scantling and Theo Ewees who played with Mike Me Daniels in Miami. Not to mention they have three, not two. They're starting three, third, not second stringers. Third stringers are on their offensive line.
Starting point is 00:33:39 It is, I've never seen a team fall from Grace so quickly in five games. Bro, it is insane. They dropped to Linder-D-Rift-I. They dropped to Dead Last and EPA per play in EPA per drop-back. They're worse than the Titans and the Dolphin. That's how bad their offense is. That's nuts. That's absolutely nuts for a team that has a guy that caught a MVP vote last year.
Starting point is 00:34:03 And it was dating Madison beer. Yeah, you can't be doing all that. Let's see. Pat Bryant, missing time with equal Troy Franklin, if you want any piece of the Bronco's offense. Stefan Diggs, Antonio Williams. That was the surprising thing to me about the commander's offense is what they're missing. Terry was limited. Stefan Diggs missed the game,
Starting point is 00:34:27 and Jaden Daniels still had a really, really solid game. Obviously, it was on the ground, but I just didn't, I don't know. I thought it was going to be a really boring and sad game for the commanders, and it was anything but that. Yeah, Jaden Daniels only had 25 past attempts, but now the last two weeks, one of Terry McLaurin or Stefan Diggs has missed time. And in both of those games, Antonio Williams led the commanders in Rout's run.
Starting point is 00:34:51 It feels like it is going to happen, maybe not in the next month. It really feels like the commanders are open to letting it happen for Antonio Williams eventually this season. Yeah, and I mean, there's another dude in that roster, which I know fantasy old heads will perk up and either smile or get really mad about. But, dude, every time they give Traylon Berks the ball, I'm like, that boy nice. He's still pretty nice. One catch for game, but it's always a nice game. Yeah, it is, dude. It either gets like a bomb or breaks, like a turns a little stupid play in like a 25-yarder.
Starting point is 00:35:27 I'm like, hey, what if we give Traylon Berg's seven, eight targets a game? See what happens. Might have a good time. Jaylon McMillan heard again. Ted Hurst would be to your answer there. Two Jets. Amar Cooper and Arian Smith, 80 Mitchell. That's nothing new.
Starting point is 00:35:45 I think everyone's pretty used to that one. New to the list, Kenyon Sadiq, who, I don't know what was going on there, dude. That was a weird ass football game, and then he got a concussion. And maybe he had a concussion earlier in the game, and it just became apparent later in the third quarter, but was running like 20 into 20 percent percentiles of routes, and Mason Taylor was getting everything.
Starting point is 00:36:13 And I don't know. That seems like just mismanagement 101 of your talent. And so I blame us. We were too excited about Kenyon Sadiq after his big game. We hyped him too much. We were too proud of our boy. And then, yeah, he just has a game in which his team has, what was it?
Starting point is 00:36:33 It was like 32 offensive plays. And then this one where he gets a, gets a ouchy on his head. And it was, it was a rain game for a low-scoring affair against the Brown. So there could have been something there. But it was definitely wacky usage, especially because we were hoping for more participation since Mason Taylor returned for the first time since week two. Let's see if there's anything else interesting on here. Yeah, T. Ferg's still out. Higby's been actually playing pretty well.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Matthew Hidner, the tight end two for the Ravens, is out. Mark Andrews, if he could ever hold on to a football, might have a good game. Charlie Kohler came back, and I'm just... He literally led the Chargers and received. yards. Charlie Colar. Yeah, yeah. He's the best receiver on the field for the Chargers. Like, you know, the leagues we play, tied in
Starting point is 00:37:27 premium, that matters. Like Charlie Collar is getting flex this week somewhere. Yeah, some sad team that's hanging on. And yeah, dude, that's every time, I think every Chargers touchdown that
Starting point is 00:37:43 I've seen this year, a passing touchdown at least, I've literally had to go, who the fuck is that guy? Because it's been whoever number 40 was, Louche. Hayden Rucci,
Starting point is 00:37:57 their second tied in. Yeah. Or I guess he's their fourth tied in since David and Joku's on Interser. Yeah. Yeah. And I feel like I know ball pretty well. And I've had to watch Alec Engeld tearing it up across the middle.
Starting point is 00:38:11 And then some dude named Lucci. And I was like, what the hell's happening, dude? This is some shit. It's bad. And by the way, with the Broncos play the Chargers, you just want to talk about the worst football game we've ever seen. Like, don't watch that game.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Good God. Okay. And the rest of these, I think they aren't necessarily new. Still dealing with a lot of quarterback situations. Yeah. With Jackson, Dhar, Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, who has a chance to play. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Caleb might come back this week. Michael Pinnix, if he can suck it up and play through a big hit on his ribs, he might be okay. I like the Tua note you put in here. Oh, yeah. To a place for the Falcons, you're 100% starting the Bears defense. Without a doubt.
Starting point is 00:38:57 They're going to be one of the best streamers. I will say Caleb did some millennial bullshit and like changed his Instagram image and bio to a superhero reference, I believe. So it sounds like Caleb will be back on Sunday against Atlanta. Hell yeah. Go off, queen. Go off.
Starting point is 00:39:16 my little our little emo quarterback boy I love it I love it the most dramatic that has ever existed but hey if any of these backup quarterbacks can play the Cowboys they can have a career day so hopefully they can
Starting point is 00:39:30 I don't know who do the Cowboys have this week Packers Sunday night Packers okay Tour than Love is going to beat the living shit out of them my God okay let's see the rest of these are old news I believe yep yep all right so we're going to play a fun little
Starting point is 00:39:46 game or actually let's answer one more questions since we're getting some decent questions today we're getting questions tonight we're getting questions but now suddenly i know people are catching on they're like oh if i want to throw questions that i got to watch this live um so this is uh this is he he did it in two parts but you know jerry's trying he says he's not injured what do you make of and then the next time he sent uh tony pollard question mark so this is this full sentence what do you make of tony pollard um i put the titans running backs on the send as little as possible like titan two or wide receiver like five for either of the titans because um and that's pollard and tachy spears because i think they're going to get split up like i can't i can't explain to you at this point in time why tony pollard isn't a packer or isn't a Texan or isn't a fill in the blank backfield that is just absolute trash at this moment, a team that is trying. So it makes too much sense, I think, for one of these dudes to
Starting point is 00:40:55 end up elsewhere. And then you just, you crank the opportunity up as they, I think they made Nicholas Singleton and active this week. So I'm not really worried about three coming on to a two, two headed split in a realistic way. So if one of those guys gets the back. field and Spears got nine targets or nine catches last week. So maybe they're preparing for a strictly Tadje Spears backfield. But I don't know. Tony Pollard doesn't have a ton of value, but it's like, man,
Starting point is 00:41:24 if you need, sometimes you just need nine points. And Tony Pollard can do that for you. He's the significantly worst version of Ollie Gordon, where he's the starting running back for one of the, one of if not the worst offense in the league. Cam Ward, I think it's worse every game, actually. as opposed to developing and getting better.
Starting point is 00:41:43 And you know what you're going to get with Tony Potter. You're going to get 14 carries every single week. He can fall forward for a touchdown or he can't and it's not worth it. But nothing changes. Tadj Spears has totaled four carries the last two games. He gets all of his touches and pass catching, as you said. This past week has nine targets. That was the highest target share for any Titans running back since 2023.
Starting point is 00:42:05 So it's probably not sustainable, but that's how they used them one game, which also was the first game the healthy, scratch Nicholas Singleton and favor for Khalil Molling. So maybe it sticks around. But I would say you know exactly what you're getting with Tony Pollard every single week you start them. Yeah, man. The Titans make me sad.
Starting point is 00:42:24 They really do, man. They just turned over their leadership, I think, again, or at least a significant amount of it, like five weeks into the year. They're built a new stadium. They did a rebrand of the Oilers stuff that I don't think anybody wanted, except for a couple people. And that might have gotten those people fired. And then I just want I just want carnal Tate to be happy and you can't even give
Starting point is 00:42:47 Carnal Tate the proper amount of like you know square feet and just give them a nice home and feed him on time and things like that. And yeah, I just want Cardinal Tate to be happy. The Titans can't get first downs and can't get them into the red zone. But look and rip, Jerry. Thanks for the question. Okay, here's the fun part. I was trying to figure out how to do this.
Starting point is 00:43:11 because I don't just want to run through and just be like, Daigle, tell me what to think about this. I want to challenge him with some things. And I'm going to give him a little true false. And then he's got to explain to me some of these scenarios and some of these situations across the league. Because there are, you know, we're far enough into a season where you can start making some assumptions
Starting point is 00:43:32 and then some guys that we already had priors on and start popping off last week. So these are the things that I found most interesting in terms of like rest of season meaningful reads. So, and we'll get to, I promise, Ted, we'll get to buy sales next. And we'll talk about Marv too before then. If anybody wants to hear about Marv. Because I'm interested in here what Daigle has to say about Marv.
Starting point is 00:43:55 But are true or false, Daigle? There's nothing to worry about with Chase Brown, man. He did this same shit last year. Everyone just calmed down. He did do this same shit last year, but also it, it then took Somagy P. Ryan getting injured for Chase Brown to not be doing the same shit. So what happened this past week was that through week four, for example, Chase Brown handled 82% of the team's backfield touches. This past game was literally 50-50. And it wasn't just
Starting point is 00:44:27 that it was a runaway against the dolphins because it actually wasn't a runaway against the dolphins, sadly. Even in the first quarter, Brown three touches, P. Ryan, three touches. Split down the middle the entire way. It could be, perhaps because of Chase Brown fumbling, it could be because Chase Brown has been one of the least explosive running backs. Not only since he entered the league, he's been horrible and just really depended on
Starting point is 00:44:50 a voluminous amount of touches. Perhaps the bingles just wanted to change their personnel and get some more juice out there since P. Ron has been more explosive. So I'm buying it. That doesn't mean sell Chase Brown. Like I'm going to hold on to Chase Brown because the range of outcomes includes
Starting point is 00:45:07 last week not mattering at all. but I think Chase Brown has been bad enough to where it does matter. Yeah, I just don't know if you're in a cell Chase Brown mode, I don't know what running back you're looking for that's going to offer higher late season upside. Like if you have Chase Brown and you're still competing and you're still plugged in and you're not like a one in four team or sinking rapidly, what are you hoping to get back? You know, like I don't, I don't quite understand people that are freaking.
Starting point is 00:45:43 There's nothing to be done. It's one of those moves where, like, you think you can impact the situation by making, like, a really slick move. And sometimes there's just nothing to be done. And I feel like it's that kind of situation. Okay. Coming off best game of the year, because he playing against Cowboys on Thursday night, Egmecca, Egbuka is back to being a high, the high upside wide receiver to
Starting point is 00:46:09 we've all been wishcasting him to be this whole time. I can't get there just based on what we know about the Cowboys allowing two opposing wide receivers. So I think it was legitimately just a Cowboys-based performance. And still, nothing's changed on my opinion from Macbuka to where if you're desperate, you can start him. Otherwise, you know to bench him because he's playing with an undrafted quarterback. who looked fine against the Cowboys, but again, it was the Cowboys. And I want to acquire Micah Bucca for the next half of the season with Baker-Mayfield returning
Starting point is 00:46:46 healthy. So I genuinely just don't think anything changed. Yeah. Yeah. When they did the end around to them, I was like, that is dirty business, boys. Like, you know, the Cowboys didn't prep that one. Like, they can't, they can't. It's like, it's taking candy from a baby.
Starting point is 00:47:06 I was like, how dare you. you. I had enough spots too where I was weighing like hammer some really bad plays. And luckily, I think I split the bill like 50-50 on him and like Keaton Mitchell because that's where that's how far Mukabook was falling to where like you couldn't even trust him. I haven't played him in two or three weeks. A team where I've got, well, my receivers are fine, but they're old. I'm like begging for for him to just just show me like you can be you can be here for a while. You can be a wide receiver too. And I'm just like, brother, I can't, I can't dare start you over Mike Evans or Devonthe Adams. Oh, no. He's not even in those conversations,
Starting point is 00:47:47 not even close. No, no. All right. Had a, uh, we mentioned the CD Lamb injury. Um, I've seen this movie before, uh, recently, uh, where CD Lamb gets hurt and then, uh, doesn't play very well or becomes a decoy or ends up missing a couple weeks. Been a factor there. besides Ryan Furnoy is George Pickens. So is George Pickens back to being a top 15 wide receiver? I would say no. But he was never a top 15 for me. And even now, he's not like, he's always going to be a fringe top 15.
Starting point is 00:48:32 I think on last week's show, I said he's always Cincinnati or he's always Dallas T. Higgins. and nothing has changed that for me whatsoever. 20% target share in the entire year, 21% target share last year, so very similar. But we know the ebbs and flows of C.D. Lam sometimes to not get the targets. They instead go to George Pickens. You can't project for that. So nothing changes week to week.
Starting point is 00:48:57 And last week when Lamb got injured, George Pickens, obviously 36% target share in that game. We've already seen this where only Jack Smith and Jigba had more receiving guards last year and three games that CDLAM missed. So, no, I think George Pickens is always top, you know, fringe top 15 wide receiver, and you understand you have the contingency value of CDLAM were injured. Yeah. Yeah, I really wasn't on Pickens and hardly, I mean, he fell,
Starting point is 00:49:28 and I think one of our FFC teams he fell to us, and I was like, F, okay, I have to, like a half round after ADP, but, But there's two reasons. I wasn't really big on Pickens is, yeah, because you can, everybody can just like stare and go, yeah, okay, CD Lamb was out. I'm not going to project injury or predict injury for CD Lamb for an extensive amount of time. And then I just didn't, I didn't assume the Cowboys were going to be playing in such insane back and forth defensive, not really on the field games.
Starting point is 00:50:01 I was wrong about that one. I thought the Cowboys even might just be slightly better and they might have normal games. but it's it's turning out that that doesn't live here anymore so maybe but yeah it's the same ride with T. Higgins where if he's on your team that you follow like you really like him because he steps up and makes plays but if you're looking from the outside you're like dude this is a roller coaster it's like seven points then it's like 28 it gets a little frustrating but uh Jets offense got back to running a normal amount of plays last week even though it was in the rain,
Starting point is 00:50:38 Garrett Wilson showed up. So is Garrett Wilson back to being a wide receiver one? Yeah, and it's consistent with last year, even though he got bad quarterback play from Justin Fields and Brady Cook last year. Last season, whenever he was healthy and he only played seven games, he was second in the entire league in Target Share,
Starting point is 00:50:59 when only three players who earned 30% of his team's targets. This year, he's only one of four players to see 29% of his team's targets. Garrett Wilson has always earned targets at an elite level because he's an elite player. He's just had the shittiest quarterback play possible. So now that we're getting league average to above league average from Gino Smith, the quality of targets are there.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Yeah, Chris Alave Northeast. Those dudes just earned targets, man. If you can have OK quarterback play, it's like, yeah, it's a cheat every time. It's like a healthy season out of Alave or Garrett Wilson with okay quarterback play is like it's going to deliver. The next one pains me to read, but I'm going to read it. Dallas Goddard is going to outscore Colston Loveland rest of season.
Starting point is 00:51:48 I don't think so, but I'm also still a guy who believes in Colston Loveland so much so I'm still trading for him low everywhere. So you can ask the next person. But at least in this past game, Goddard return was targeted on 25% of his routes. That, of course, was, without Devont de Smith, but we still saw in week one Goddard finished as the tie in 14, so a fringe tied in one as a player who they just don't have another option. They could ever play over him.
Starting point is 00:52:21 So I still think Dallas Goddard will be a guy you are comfortable starting every single week, regardless of the results, because he's always out there. And the Eagles actually have the easiest schedule of opposing past defenses over the next month coming up. Things open up quite a bit for them. It was good to get one right every once in a while. And that was what Jalen Warren's been doing since they started effing around with whatever that role was the first two weeks, where they were using him and Rico Dattle in what I would consider counterintuitive reversed roles. but Dylan Warren obviously exploded last week.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Was he the high scoring player? I can't remember he was the high scoring position player, but he probably was. I think Jalen Warren still, or Jemir Gibbs still out scored. Oh, Gibbs got him, yeah. I could be wrong. Yeah, I'll look it up, but I could be.
Starting point is 00:53:19 You're good. So Jalen Warren, and then there's some. Yeah, let's Jemir Gibbs, then Jalen Warren. Okay, some pretty fun comments coming out of Pittsburgh as well in terms of his usage. And I, this was already on my radio because I was cutting clips from Corain and Rebar. What do they even call that show? I edit the goddamn thing each week.
Starting point is 00:53:42 I can't remember what's cool. But and Corain was talking about like, this is the Jalen Warren experience, man. You can know you're right and you just never get to have the fun. It's always capped. and I could have a short from it. And I was like prepared for Jill and Warren to go out there and just get underutilized. And no, they gave them the full boat, man. So super excited.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Angles and upside. That's the name of the show. Watch that. Watch that show. Those guys are incredible. I, you know, they gave them the full boat without Rico Dowdowell, right? So that's overall, that's what we're all doing. What happens when Rico Dado comes back this week?
Starting point is 00:54:24 I would imagine Jalen Warren's been so good. They cannot bench them unless they are imbeciles. But that's what we're waiting for. This past three-game stretch, Jalen Warren is 490 yards, total yards, which is the most for any player, Jemir Gibbs and Bejohn-Robinson included, and any three-game stretch so far this year. He's truly been the best running back, better than Jemir Gibbs, these last three games.
Starting point is 00:54:50 He's always had the ability to do it all as well. He was packaged whenever we talked about it preseason our, show with Dave Montgomery, Bachel Tootin, and Jonathan Brooks, and taking those shots rather than drafting, um, Kairn Williams, which could backfired, still
Starting point is 00:55:08 up in the air. Kynne Roams was fine in the last three games, but Kairn Williams, Javonte Williams, Travis Eton, Breeshall, Jeremy Lonez. List goes on. DeAndre, yeah. Um, Jalen Woolmer's baked in the process of, I bet we can find these points, like four rounds later, rather than, than wasting a pick on these running
Starting point is 00:55:25 backs. And so far, I feel really good. Most of the best about Jalen Warren. I feel really good about Bachel Tutin. And then, you know, Montgomery and Brooks have been misses so far. But second half of the season to be determined. Yeah. So I think easy top 10 running back rest of season for Jalen Warren.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Malik Neighbors. Wow. That was a game. Malik Neighbors will be a top 10 wide receiver rest of season. I don't think so because it's not like it's getting harder for the Giants, but I don't think the Giants have the talent to be a winning team is the issue. Especially with James Winston still turning the ball over frequently. It is an easy matchup hosting the Saints who are banged up across their defense's upcoming game.
Starting point is 00:56:17 Then they have the Texas and Eagles. So I'm still somewhat counting down the weeks until the Giants are no longer a winning team. and then because they gave up that fifth rounder for JJ McCarthy, he takes Malik neighbors. But I will say I am much more optimistic than I was previously as long as James Winston is under center. Yeah, I wasn't sure that James lived here anymore. And I'll be damned.
Starting point is 00:56:44 He can still sling the shit out of it and throw it at one guy for 15 times. So thank you. Let's keep doing that. Jaden Daniels back on the scene, as we mentioned earlier, over 100 rushing yards, two touchdowns, passing wasn't super pretty, but it doesn't necessarily matter whenever you're doing that kind of stuff. Jaden Daniels top five quarterback rest of season.
Starting point is 00:57:10 I do believe so. That's what he was drafted and projected as anyhow. It just comes down to how hard is he going to fall on his left elbow every game moving forward. But as long as he's under center, he already showed us. he outscored Josh Allen by rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns, which he can always sporadically do. Not to mention what helps him for fantasy is that this Washington defense is absolutely abysmal with Dan Quinn. That's why James Winston, you know, lit them up this past game.
Starting point is 00:57:40 That's why so far four out of five quarterbacks they've faced, Daniel Jones being the outlier, have reached 24 and a half fantasy points against them. The commanders can't stop anyone through the air. benefits Jane Daniels for up-tempo game scripts. Yeah. Yeah, super encouraged from going from might miss four to six weeks to one week out, and then he's back running his ass off again. Quite the 180.
Starting point is 00:58:08 All right, this one's about a guy that's filled in, Braylon Allen. And if the Jets want to kind of change their path forward, is Braylon Allen going to be a pain in the ass for every. Brees Hall manager moving forward. I don't personally think so. Cleveland's defense is one. Although they are stout against the run, they have frequently leaked big time carries. And we saw that whenever Braylon Warren exploded for his long, I think it was 22-yard touchdown.
Starting point is 00:58:47 He also had five carries this past week of 10 or more yards. I don't attribute that to him. personally, but especially, you know, the way he performed against the Bears, but I do think it was a Cleveland's Brown defense-based thing. So we'll see what the team thinks he is moving forward. But I believe Breece Hall, as long as he's healthy, will be just fine because he's still a tier above and talent, Braylon Allen. I mentioned earlier, the Bears are probably getting Caleb back this week, hopefully.
Starting point is 00:59:17 But from what we've seen through five weeks, the Bears passing game, will be silent killers for your roster rest of season. That's the real question here is silent killers. So you're suggesting they don't reach their ceiling. I'm going to say no, just because we have yet to see them play a normal game. Cato Williams only out there for six quarters, the first quarter, they nearly scored 60 points, even though the right players, quote unquote, right players were not involved for us.
Starting point is 00:59:51 But that's just a one-game sample. Who cares? Week two they come out. It is a rainstorm outdoors against the Vikings and Brian Flores, who have always stumped the bears, so I don't think anything of it. And since then, we just haven't seen a normal game at all, including a third-string quarterback, soaking up only,
Starting point is 01:00:11 like basically every single minute against the Jets, and then last week, Tyson Bajit falling back down to Earth. So I still think they will be sealing players across the board. Again, we've only seen one game so far, And I'll take 59 points every single week and hope the right players get there. Moving on to the Broncos offense, who's already changed hands on who's calling the place. And we got a little taste to Sean Payton offense last week. Wasn't any better.
Starting point is 01:00:43 None of the Broncos offensive players will provide consistent starter value rest of season. Consistent, I agree with that. Jalen Waddle has the best chance. but will it be consistent? No, I don't think so either. Bo Nix's 6.5 yard depth of target is the fourth lowest in the league as he's not going downfield or throwing between the hash marks. He's really only throwing outside, which doesn't help anyone,
Starting point is 01:01:11 and it limits the windows he can fit into. So now, so far, nothing's been promising, literally nothing for the Broncos. Yeah, Sean's got to get the playbook that forces Bo Nix to throw deep across the middle, which I don't know if those plays exist. Good luck to everyone. All right. There was a fun, a fun, well, not a challenge trade, but a fun, hey, we need this thing. We're willing to overpay for it.
Starting point is 01:01:38 And y'all wouldn't buy the kid a jug machine is his rookie year. So y'all don't care about them that much. Marv got moved to the Texans for, I think, a second and a sixth. Surprise, I got that much. But does this, you know, I hate. saying like can he do anything but um because i think it's actually kind of like a savvy move besides the overpay um what do you what's what's your outlook for marv as a houston tex and um and then the side effects of it obviously for the cardinals similar to how we discussed at the top of the
Starting point is 01:02:15 show players that were probably dropped along the way i know marman harrison jr was probably dropped last few games as he should have been i'm going to take the same stance i did with tyrie kill last week when we talked about it and that I want to be underweight based on consensus. Usually what happens is that players are traded in season because they're bad players. Teams don't want these players anymore because they are not helpful at all. And I believe that's what's happening with Marvin Harrison Jr. And that he's, even in being traded, he's not the second best receiver on his own team. Jaylon O's averaging two yards per outrun this year,
Starting point is 01:02:49 which is an increase from his pretty good rookie performance last year. Marvin Harrison Jr. hasn't reached two yards for outrun in any season so far, and he's only decreased in every year. So no, I think Marvin Harrison Jr. is a bad player who does not help the Texans at all and think they overpaid. I think it's that simple. It actually does excite me a little bit for Jaden Higgins next year. Oh, yeah. Because if you can have a guy on the outside, it's just going to run around and run like the three routes that Marv can run.
Starting point is 01:03:18 And you don't feel obligated to target him ever. I'm like, all right, cool. Jayden Higgins can get some more balls. I think back to the last four times we saw this. So the last couple of years in that Amari Cooper trades the bills literally dropped a few weeks later by every savvy manager who watched what was going on and then retired the offseason. DeAndre Hopkins traded the Chiefs.
Starting point is 01:03:44 One big game in his debut faded because he was too old to play football, dropped after that unusable in fantasy. Jonathan Mingo traded for a third round pick in the Cowboys. couldn't even get on the field. He was a bad player. And then Jacoby Myers, actually the best hit among all those players, but only because he freed up Parker Washington
Starting point is 01:04:03 and be the best player, not actually helping in fantasy himself. So that's the way I view Marvin Harrison, Jr., where even for whatever reason, he's good as assuming the Texans pigeonhole him and force this trade to have results as their second receiver, he himself will do nothing but maybe make Nico Collins even better.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Yeah. Yeah, they just need. I mean, I think Tankdale's getting kind of close to returning to. So they just needed somebody on the other side. Like, I think it tells you how big a role Jaden Higgins was going to have this year, that they feel obligated to go out and get something. My best ball teams are very aware from Jayden Higgins is going to have a massive year. Don't worry.
Starting point is 01:04:49 Yeah, he was going to be good, dude. I really like that kid. Um, okay. C.J. Stroud is actually quietly, uh, having the best season since his rookie year, too. Yeah. He's been, he's been really good. He's been all right. The record, the record doesn't reflect it.
Starting point is 01:05:03 And I also, I think, I think about their defense. And, you know, they, they obviously dominated against Cam Ward and the Titans because that's what the Texans do. But then you look at all these stats, or at least for, I look at all these stats when doing like matchup notes and whatnot. And then you see like, oh, like these guys, this Texans defense that everyone's said they've fallen apart they can't play defense they played josh allen joe burrow and dat press got in three of their first four games so like all that showed us was that they had incredibly
Starting point is 01:05:31 tough matchups that were always going to be punch for punch and around them though demico rinds is doing a damn good job so yeah i think the texans are about to level out uh and become a team that competes with the jaguar is exciting because that's the london matchup this upcoming weekend too yeah yeah i mean i just knowing from the the the cowboys game that I watched that defense play. Man, it was a weird, it was a really weird defensive strategy that they rolled out there that got CD Lamb,
Starting point is 01:06:02 was 17 catches on 21 or 22 targets. It was, they were almost stubborn to reading the other team's tendencies and playing off of that. Like they thought, because the Cowboys had used Jake Ferguson in the Red Zone,
Starting point is 01:06:20 the previous two games in this situation, that they absolutely were going to do that. And I need to double Jake Ferguson in the red zone. All the while, C.D. Lamb is sitting over there on the right side of the formation with 16 catches already. Yeah. And then they were like basically bracketing and even bringing three people George Pickens way for a lot of the game on quick slants.
Starting point is 01:06:42 They're so worried about Pickens catching a slant and slicing through like he does. Compare that to like Kelvin Sheper's performance against the Cardinals this past week where they literally, the lines doubled Trey McBride and Michael Wilson every play. They're like, everyone else will beat us, but these two guys will not beat us. And that's why, you know, Kendrick Bourne, Teigen Quittoriano, who I haven't heard of since he played with the Texans. That's how these guys excelled instead of Wilson and McBride. Yeah. All right. It's the part of the show it's sponsored by Ted Emmerich, buys themselves. I try to keep it three, but sometimes I start digging and find some stuff that's interesting to me.
Starting point is 01:07:26 So my buys, again, Bachel Tutin, the numbers are awesome. The opportunity is there. He just hasn't really popped yet in like even a Kyle Munan guy kind of way. And so I think it's just a matter of time, matter of time and opportunity. for him to have a two-touchdown, 130-yard game, and then you won't be able to buy Baychell Tutin ever again because it'll be done. Moving down the list,
Starting point is 01:08:02 talking about those Cardinals. We just talked about it. I'm definitely bi-curious on Michael Wilson for the owner that was probably like, Marv's out of the way, here we go last week, and then they got borderline flat-lined by Michael Wilson. and are they like, okay, I was already duped. And he's already kind of a, I don't know,
Starting point is 01:08:24 I'll never have just 100% confidence on Michael. It'll take a long time. It'll take a long time and a lot of like good production for Michael Wilson for me to be like, yes, I believe in this. This is going to happen forever. So I might be one of those guys. I'm scouting myself here on my Michael Wilson chairs. And I would call myself and be like, hey, you want off that?
Starting point is 01:08:46 It's very similar to, I think, how I can, talked about Parker Washington, you agree with me last week. It's like, listen, nothing's changed. Like, all that happened was it was a one bad game. I just explained why Michael Wilson has already shown us. He's Jerry Rice, whenever Marvin Harrison Jr. is just away from the team. That way they can understand what they have in Michael Wilson. They already extended him to a big contract this offseason as well. They believe in Michael Wilson. So, no, if he's, if he's selling for any cheaper than dollar for dollar after last week's performance, that is the easiest buy you'll ever Yeah, and that's the way to think about this, I think, is some of these guys I'm saying buy at cost that they were drafted at, because I think they're about to be higher.
Starting point is 01:09:31 And so I'm like, if there's any discount. And I usually try to explain if there's any discount. But all the guys this week, I think they're pretty much all, hey, if you can buy at ADP cost, because I think they're about to be way better players than that. Mike Evans makes my list. I do this every year. Him and DeBonte Adams. So I will say as someone who drafted and starts and rosters Mike Evans everywhere, because he, you know, he fell in stock due to a preseason injury, but we also know at Mike Evans age, he sits out practice like Devonthe Adams on purpose. He cares about the games and the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:10:11 Who cares about practice? It doesn't matter for a legend like Mike Evans. It has been not frustrating, underwhelming the first month because he's been in and out of the lineup. Even this past week, he wore a flat jacket. But dude, when this guy finishes games, he plays a full game. He's still Mike Freakin Evans. He's finished three games with the 49ers now.
Starting point is 01:10:32 He's had 21%, 28% and 37% target shares. Not only that, but he'd leave the entire league with a first down on a first down every two routes. No, no, no. He gets a first down, 21% of his routes, right? That's how important he is. There's a lot of beat reporters out there.
Starting point is 01:10:53 The Cowboys have some of them. I don't need to name them here. There's a lot of beat reporters in general who are homers, right? They talk about their players as if they're the most important players. David Lombardi had this legendary tweet from the preseason talking about,
Starting point is 01:11:07 like, the Rams had one of the biggest acquisitions in NFL history and trading for Miles Garrett, the 49ers just topped that in acquiring Mike Evans, right? Like he just makes everything hyperbole. And now I'm like watching Mike Evans and this Kyle Shane ahead in offense, I'm like, you know, maybe the 49ers did have the best acquisition of the all season because this dude is, this dude is so important to elevating them into Super Bowl contenders.
Starting point is 01:11:36 He just gives them a level, whereas everyone behind him in the past, Brandon and I concluded, this is how we talked about to Zan Stripling, right? Is that Kyle Shannes elevates you. So as long as you're starting for Kyle Shanhan, shripling's going to break out and be a great pick. Mike Evans is like the first guy to arrive and be like, what if I elevate you instead? Because he's that fucking good.
Starting point is 01:11:57 So yeah, man, Mike Evans is just awesome to watch him play. He rules, man. He absolutely rules. This offense is very fun. You can keep taking sacrifice more wide receivers. I don't care. As long as Mike Evans is healthy. And George Cattle are healthy.
Starting point is 01:12:13 This has been one of the most fun chess matchups of the last couple of years is Calh-Shaneham versus Mike McDonald. Because even going back, I don't know if you remember from a few years ago, whenever Mike McDonald coached the Ravens defense, they went into that. I believe it was week 15 game, Monday night football, and Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson are tied for MVP. And Mike McDonald forced Brock Purdy into five interceptions and getting benched after three quarters. Mike McDonald has always had Brock Purdy's number. Look at every single matchup. This year, though, with Mike Evans, for the first time ever, McDonald didn't have an answer.
Starting point is 01:12:49 It just tips the scales that much more in favor of the 49ers to come out of the NFC. Yeah. Yeah. And, you know, they're obviously a very clever team, but sometimes they just go, hey, what if I just put the biggest, baddest MFer out there and see if you can do anything about it? Mike Evans definitely qualifies as that,
Starting point is 01:13:07 and George Kittle qualifies as that. that. I think stribling, stribbling might have qualified for that if he stayed healthy. Like, he's a pretty nasty yards after catch guy in a physical duty. They love Chris McCaffrey. He's got on the list of guys that they have in their roster that you're like, oh, I'm in a league full of extreme athletes. Like, these guys are like the 99th percentile. And I love, I just personally love Mike Evans. I met him at Aggie Pro Day year after Mansell. And I was working for the Cowboys. And he's just hanging out. and just like starts talking to us.
Starting point is 01:13:41 And he had just, he was right in the middle of a contract like deal. And he was like, man, I do not give a shit about this. But my agent, you know, he's like,
Starting point is 01:13:50 my agent just, he's like, I'm going to get as much money as I can. And he was like hung out with us. Um, at an Aggie Pro Day. But, um,
Starting point is 01:13:58 if Mike Evans is healthy, yes, he's, he's a star of fantasy. Yeah, I just, I love getting to this point in the season where you get, how,
Starting point is 01:14:06 you know, get close to the midway. point and for some reason people start double counting players age like these guys can fall off at any minute um mike evans and devante are like the two to me that are just like some reason i can i can get i can get them at cheaper than because their age has a three and a crooked number uh at the at the back of it um i think everyone's about as low on jeremiah love as you can be right now which means I want to buy. Not because I think he's going to do great things in the next two to four weeks,
Starting point is 01:14:42 but I think maybe second half of season, he'll get off his sads, his little mopiness, and realize you can't just like, you're not going to, you don't get to go home. For reference on his usage to, it was elite. Until the lines took a 31 to 7 third quarter lead, Jeremiah Love out touched Tyler Algear 10 to 1. They literally weren't using another running back until they said this game is very much over, get love off the field and rest him the rest. So I think it is a good time to buy Love Low as well.
Starting point is 01:15:15 Yeah, that's, I mean, I'm sitting in leagues where I have him, but I'm sitting him with the intent, not the intent of like shopping him. I'm sitting him with the intent of, hey, man, in a month, you might be my most important player. And I'm willing to have that long view. And the last one on my buy list is Devante Smith. I think we outlined the Eagles situation coming up pretty soon. But, I mean, he was good when he was playing. A little injury blip. I think the Eagles, I mean, they played better last week, number one.
Starting point is 01:15:53 And then the schedule starts softening up for them. And they just can't be as bad as they were. they definitely got a Cowboys game around the corner. I think they got a Panthers maybe around the corner as well, and they get some soft defenses. So Devante Smith, I'm sure you're pretty, everyone's, it's that compounding thing. It's like team effect of like having bad shit happening.
Starting point is 01:16:14 And then player either gets hurt or has like a dud week. And then you're double counting where this player, the negatives on this player, and Devante Smith might be a little bit cheap at this point in time. And Smith has only played one game, week one with Dallas Goddard. They both tied for the team high in target share. That's where the majority of targets funnel
Starting point is 01:16:35 when those two players are healthy. It's a two-man show between Dallas Gart and Devonta Smith. So yeah, someone I haven't lost any amount of confidence in. Jalen Hertz may have lost some of the lust we had for him, even though as we talked about, the schedule opens up moving forward. But for Goddard and Smith, they have standalone value regardless of Hertz's performance.
Starting point is 01:16:53 Yeah. you've got some buy lows on your list if you want to run through those yeah so we all saw dalton kade well maybe we didn't see because he didn't do anything on monday night he had one catch for seven yards but when the smoke cleared he still ran a route on a season high 76% of josh allen's dropbacks and that's important because the way i wrote this matchup up on establish the run because I write all the primetime matchups up for fantasy and prop bets. The Rams have actually been the best defense in the league against tight ends. They're allowing for fantasy six points per game.
Starting point is 01:17:32 No other defense is allowing fewer than 7.6. They're allowing 3.1 yards per target to tight ends. The Rams given their linebacker room just shut down opposing tight ends. And I thought, okay, well, Dalton Cade has a unique skill set. So maybe he can still have success here. And that's not the case at all. Instead, like they got their running backs involved a lot. Ray Davis had a 20-yard catch.
Starting point is 01:17:56 Ty Johnson led them in receiving yards, I believe, unless Khalil Shakira caught up with that last overtime catch. So either way, Dalton Kincaid, really happy to see him hit that season high route share, and I understand why he failed with a matchup. But all I need is the routes run. That's all I ever needed from Dalton Kincaid, and I know the success will come.
Starting point is 01:18:15 So love him this upcoming week. I believe it's the perfect time to buy low after that game on Monday night. Yeah, the people that had him didn't sell high after the first two weeks. They definitely want to now. Based on their comments on receiving on Twitter. Yeah, exactly. A lot of those old feelings popping back up for Dalton Kincaid. And then the other three guys, I'll just quickly touch on.
Starting point is 01:18:41 I've already touched on them throughout the show at the beginning for pickups, just because they could have been dropped. But given the landscape at the running back position, I do believe Jordan Mason, Jonah Coleman, and Dellen Sampson are all coming back and can win their roles outright and be RB2s down the stretch. Jordan Mason is by favor just because the Vikings, the rest of the way, have the league's easiest projected schedule of opposing rushing defenses. And with Kyler Murray back there, not scoring touchdowns, the Vikings do want to be a running team. I then allow Brian Flores to win games for them on defense. So I love, love Jordan Mason.
Starting point is 01:19:16 I'm trying to trade for him in every league. I'm trying to pick him up where he's available. He's one of my favorite running backs in the second half of the year. Yeah, I just added a share of Aaron Jones via trade because I want to also. You wait until after the four games in a row, he had 20 touches. Yeah, it is what it is. This is when I could get him. So I was like, all right, cool.
Starting point is 01:19:39 Like I needed some running back depths because I'm about to be taking some water with biweeks and stuff. And I was like, after this buy. week. Well, I, you know, hopefully no one from the league's watching this, but I'm going to add Aaron Jones because I'm also going to try and get Jordan Mason. So I'm trying to try and sew up that backfield because I think they're going to be awesome rest of the season. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:04 Jonah Coleman, yeah, we talked about that one earlier in Dylan Samson as well, so we can get to the cells. Had a hard time on these. There's some obvious ones. But I added Jalen Wattle to my list because I don't. I don't know what the fuck to do with Jalen Waddle, man. I don't want to start him. I keep having to start him.
Starting point is 01:20:25 If anybody's willing to give me anything, more realistically, I'm probably adding Waddle and somebody else to try and, you know, two for one trade and add somebody at a position that I actually need. But I don't know, man. I think I'm done. I went off this ride. I went off the Jalen Waddle ride right now because I keep getting my hopes up because they'll be a bad week, they'll be a good week, and then they'll be Sean Peyton's taking over plays,
Starting point is 01:20:52 and actually nothing changes. And Bo Nix is just not, yeah, I don't know, maybe they'll figure it out, like 10 weeks into the season, how to use Jalen Waddle, by that time, I won't have the confidence to start him. So it's really frustrating right now for Jalen Wattel. So just see if you can get anything.
Starting point is 01:21:09 That's what I'm doing. I'm kind of annoyed with the whole situation. Not annoyed with the Bucky Irving situation, but realistic enough to admit that he just had the best game he's probably ever going to have in his career and the buck's offense is pretty gross um so if i can cash out on that and you know bucky irving and some other small piece for jonathan taylor bucky irving some other small piece for any of those running backs in that range or or a wide receiver that's um popping off like I think that's probably a pretty, pretty sound transaction for you to make,
Starting point is 01:21:51 especially since, you know, the other backs didn't get super involved. And there are weeks where Sean Tucker's very involved. And Kennedy-Ga-Manuel is probably very involved. So I love Bucky Irving. He's one of my favorite running backs and players in the league. But you got to take, if you're not taking the cell window after a game like that, then you just don't. You don't play that way, which is fine.
Starting point is 01:22:17 But that's kind of how I play. It's always better, too, whenever these games happen in prime time when more people watch them. Absolutely. Because it just hyperboizes, like, the performance here. Exactly. Yeah, I mean, Bucky Irving, like I mentioned, his share of backfield touches, his workload has actually gone down in every game
Starting point is 01:22:36 since week two against Dallas. It was a season low, 66% share. He just happened to get two carries inside the five that resulted in touchdowns. He looked good. His long runs are great, but again, take the matchup for what it is against the Cowboys, the easiest matchup for opposing running backs, even though Kenneth Gainwell still seven touches, Sean Tucker, five touches. So, yeah, I think it's the easiest sell high window possible for Bucking Irving right now.
Starting point is 01:23:01 And then likewise, I was trying to come to terms of my feelings about Marshmore and Lloyd rest of the season. And I was like, is it easy buy, is he a sell? is he a guy that I'm actually going to be willing to start? And I just don't know if anything's really changed that much, even though he had two touchdowns. It wasn't like an inefficient game, and I don't think they're going to be a good blocking team all of a sudden. You just kind of luck boxed into two touchdowns from Marshawn Lloyd.
Starting point is 01:23:28 And everyone's like, it's alive. Like, look at it. I told you, I told you Marshaun Lloyd was going to be a thing. And so if people, if people, he was one of those, who were he talking about earlier? Oh, Woody Marks, or Woody Marks. where Woody Marks was like the big free agent had the year before and people got like usage like usable RV weeks out of it. So this year you can't never own Woody Marks because he's just owned.
Starting point is 01:23:54 I feel like there's like that kind of narrative with Marshaun Lloyd where he was such like a preseason darling and then oh the Josh Jacobs thing. And there's just like a lot of just waves of people wanting to be in on Marshawn Lloyd and then it falls flat. But I think there are Marshall Lloyd believers out there. that are like, all right, here we go. Here it comes. Here comes the Marshall on Lloyd explosion. And I don't own Marshall and Lloyd expecting that. I own Marshall on Lloyd right now expecting just give me a couple weeks, brother.
Starting point is 01:24:24 Give me some passable weeks. If anybody has any expectation above that, trade him. Similar to, Bucky Irving, I would wait until the Packers have success against the Cowboys on prime time Sunday night. And then Monday morning wake up and shot Marshawn Lloyd because you got two obvious starts out of him. You know, is, well, I actively shop him.
Starting point is 01:24:49 I guess it depends what I get back. Because, again, we removed Chris Brooks from this office entirely, so it's two-headed. But also, I will say, even though it was a blowout, Pierre Strong still got eight touches in that game against the Bears. So let's see if the Cowboys can keep it close because the Packers' defense is miserable also. And let's see this committee between Caleb Johnson and Marshaun Lloyd, if it's a competitive game because that's going to to move the needle for me on my outlook for Lloyd moving forward.
Starting point is 01:25:18 I agree. Yeah, after this week, I think you start, yeah, you open up shop for Marshaun Lloyd sales. And then the next guy, number one, I think everyone knows the timeline on Emmanuel Wilson's not super long. I think it's a little bit longer than people might think, just because, you, you, you, I don't know what Charbonnet's usage is going to be immediately when he comes back. And then, you know, Judarian Price, I don't know what the latest update is on him. But I think they found something they kind of like with Emmanuel Wilson.
Starting point is 01:25:56 And this is a team that rosters and still gives the football to George Halani. So they're pretty effing stubborn whenever they find something that they think is what they like. So I think Emmanuel Wilson can have a role rest of season. but this is the time. Like, it's ripe. You got to get off Emmanuel Wilson if you're going to at this point. The Seahawks already said they're not going to activate Zach Charbonnet this week. So you have Thursday not against the Broncos that actually the one weakness the Broncos have,
Starting point is 01:26:29 they can't defend the run at all, not to mention that they are also missing at least this past week, both Pat Sartan and Riley Moss in their secondary, which is massive. you just wouldn't know it because a charger sucks so bad. So maybe there is going to be some success in and putting the game away icing the clock with Emmanuel Wilson. Who's 230 pounds? We mentioned this last week. So like him having these large touch shares when there's no one else available,
Starting point is 01:26:56 you know, 24 touches two weeks ago, 22 touches this past week. That makes sense because he's a big body guy who can handle it whenever he's asked to step up to the plate. Yeah, and it's not like you're selling Emmanuel Wilson with like an entire bag of hopium. next to them you go pull up the grid on sleeper hit the trade thing go look at the teams that have one or two wins and are really hurting a running back send offer that's all you got to do man because people would be willing to um willing to take his whatever points he can give you
Starting point is 01:27:31 each week pretty quickly um people are in that kind of situation so um i know you uh you had bucky on your on your list as well. I had yeah actually I tried to differ but for myself I had the same as you were jalen waddell and bucky irving bucky irving especially topped my list so I think more importantly this week for me is going to be about more about buying players low like uh as much as I hate it as as disgusting as it is I'm still checking in on Seyquon barklin ashton gentie for my own teams because I'm that desperate and I'm like well if I can get these guys for an up-and-coming receiver or something like that. Like I know someone just reached out because they got Ashton Dentie for like Denzel Boston, something like that. If that's the level we're talking about in 10 and 12
Starting point is 01:28:18 team leagues, like I'm going to start checking in on these players. So this week, it's more about acquiring Ladd-McConkie also. It's more about acquiring players who have let everyone down. And I understand them taking them on, Colston Loveland 2 can also let me down. But I also know what happens if the dominoes fall correctly yeah yeah fine you know the guys in the league that are just unanimous bad feelings guys right now like you just see the player's name you like ah like they're just pissing you off they're driving me nuts um those guys have elite upside and have been underperforming for whatever reason um if it's usage if it's injury if it's whatever like we're five weeks in hopefully you're going to be playing this thing for 17 weeks
Starting point is 01:29:04 into week 17 into week 16 like think long term think long term like lads a great buy whether you thinking you have to start the guy you just bought immediately is nuts too got to think of long-term investments whenever you're doing this stuff all right I wanted to end with a little game and I wanted to quiz dagle on five at each position in terms of total points thus far in the season. Cause some of these shocked me, it's not points per game. It is total points per position.
Starting point is 01:29:43 Which position do you wanna start with, Daigle? I saw you put this at the end of the run sheet, just a little quick game. No, I did not, no, I did not. But and also, I don't ever use total points. I look at everything in points per game because rates are more important. So I don't know total points,
Starting point is 01:30:01 which also, by the way, factors in by weeks. That's why we don't use total points because it's not rates. Okay, but quarterback, I know for a fact, Josh Allen and Brock Purdy. I know that. You got it. Only two important quarterbacks in the entire league, Josh Allen and Brockperty. Beyond that, is Tyler Shuck still up there? He's not. He went negative last week, so that is. Bryce Young still up there? He is not. Mistaking game. The buy week then affect them. Okay. So other three quarterbacks who have mattered for fantasy. James Winston didn't play six quarters.
Starting point is 01:30:38 He had the rain game as well. Who's been running the ball a lot? Jane Daniels missed time. Joe Burrow hasn't even, is it Joe Burrow? He hasn't even been good, though, I feel like. Joe Burrow is fourth. Okay, yeah. So basically the question is, have you played all the games and have you stayed healthy?
Starting point is 01:30:59 Yes. And been okay in every game. Jared golf? Jared golf is third. And then who else has been healthy and okay? The fifth one is going to drive home our point way too, way too hard on quarterbacks don't fucking matter. Who do I write about as a streamer every single week that no one picks up? They might have picked this guy up.
Starting point is 01:31:22 He was playing too well. Jordan Love? No. who? Kirk, Kirk Cousins. Oh, yeah, of course. That's on me.
Starting point is 01:31:32 I forgot about that. Kirk Cousins is fifth in total place of quarterback, dude. Yeah, we talked about that last week. He was tied with Brock Purdy and touchdowns. Yeah. Yeah, that makes sense. That's not. I feel disappointed in myself.
Starting point is 01:31:45 I should have got that one. Yeah. Running back. Running back might be a little easier. Maybe. It's obviously Jamir Gibbs, Bejohn Robinson. Christian McCaffrey hasn't even been good. Nope.
Starting point is 01:31:58 Jamergan's Beardarrobson. Has to be Jalen Warren now, right? Nope. Wow, he didn't get up there these last three years. Slow start, yeah. Oh, so that means it's powerhouses. Derek Henry hasn't been that good. This one is more about, Kenneth Walker, of course.
Starting point is 01:32:12 Yeah, this one's more about kind of like consistency, I think. Also, Kenneth Walker had a buy, and he's still top five. That's incredible. That's what that's when, that's what's nuts. Has it been Chuba Hubbard? No. You mentioned one of them, but you didn't. say it with confidence so I didn't count it as a guess was it Derek Henry
Starting point is 01:32:29 Derek Henry's third dude really how yeah I feel like we've been nothing but let down by just raw raw points dude he does have a couple receiving touchdowns so yeah Declan Doyle's also the man okay so I got four yeah I got four in the fifth place guy is it oh it's Kyron Williams it is Karen Williams yeah you got it uh wide receiver jacksmith and jigba the one King. Is it still Pooka Nakuwa or two games matter? He's not, no, he's not close yet. There have been bar receivers that have just been too good.
Starting point is 01:33:07 Christian Watson. Third, which I'm surprised Golden didn't make it up here. I'll give that one away. He didn't. C.D. Lamb? Cedley Lamb a second. Monroe St. Brown? He wasn't good for like two games, though. Oh, okay. He had fourth, dude. That's what that one, that one shook me.
Starting point is 01:33:23 He had a little route share for two weeks in a row. Yeah, that one shook me. I was like, everyone's bitching about St. Brown, but you can't give... Mm-hmm. It can't be... No, no, no, Justin Jefferson's on the butt. It can't be Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase, right? Jamar Chase lost a game.
Starting point is 01:33:39 Yeah, it's neither one of them. He also had a terrible week one, yeah. Is it Garrett Wilson? No, but close, kind of... Oh, Malik Neighbors? No. He had... I don't know.
Starting point is 01:33:57 The first two weeks, I think. Alave. Chris Olavay. Okay. I mean, yeah, Lave is like quiet and how dangerous he is. Yeah. It would have been Drake London if he had Michael Pinnock this whole time too.
Starting point is 01:34:11 Yeah, but this is like definitely an exercise and like, Alave is such a good player because his highs are like, oh shit. But then his bad games are never just like flatlining. You know what I mean? Totally. I mean, high floor,
Starting point is 01:34:24 extremely high ceiling. Titan's pretty funny. it's got to be it already has to be Brock Bowers he's only played three games but he's fifth he's not in they're so bad yeah uh brock bowers by the way he's the only tied in with three 20 point games he's played three games yeah it's got to be tray McBride yeah it's got to be Isaiah likely like the the actual good pick here since he was a since he went so late and he's just matching these guys point for point yeah okay after that boy because that That's how ugly this position is.
Starting point is 01:35:02 After that, who, Joanne Johnson? No. They're big names. They're pretty big names. They've just been quietly, like, okay. They can't be open or Tyler Warren, right? Tyler Warren. Really?
Starting point is 01:35:15 Tyler Warren, force. That's a PPR scam. That's so bad. He's literally just Khalil Shakir. Yeah. And then. Last week he was okay. I think he didn't even nine, nine catches or something like that.
Starting point is 01:35:28 Yeah. Yeah. He's just getting it near the line of scrimmage is the thing. And then Sam LaPorta. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:34 Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. Some of those, yeah, the Leporta being in there kind of shocked me. I was like third, third for Leporta. He's been, I mean, he's been really good. Yeah. He really has. And then likely, obviously, just the number accumulator that he can be in in games is kind of shocking.
Starting point is 01:35:51 But I don't know. That's fun. For the Capitol, you know, he's been the best pick of tied in so far. Mm-hmm. Yep. Yeah. I don't know. It's fun for me to look at that kind of stuff because I know points per game are super important, but I feel like I can do those off almost the top of my head. Whereas total points, a little bit more difficult. Mark this segment because it's been five weeks.
Starting point is 01:36:14 Let's try it again here in a month and see how it changes. Yeah. Yeah. But this is the, these are the high floor, high ceiling guys is what I consider all these dudes. and some of them, I mean, tight ends an outlier, obviously. Warren being top four. That's kind of gross, but that's the nature of the position. But yeah, I thought that was fun.
Starting point is 01:36:38 All right, that's all I have. We did it all. We did everything. Hopefully you got some great information out of it. If you need more stuff, go to establish the run.com, get you a subby. They'll help you win. Any kind of league that you're in, high stakes, low stakes, home leagues,
Starting point is 01:36:54 FFPC tournaments, weekly stuff. They're dipping into the NBA streets right now. So go check that out. Keep Daigle employed and having a good time. I'm retired. Had established the run. Deagle, I appreciate it, man. It's fantastic. I feel like we got to a ton of stuff and helped a bunch of people with what they got going on their leagues, man. Another good week. Had some questions come in. So maybe we're picking up steam in week five. Maybe we feel like I do where I have my ducks in a row finally. Took a month, but everything seems to be checking out so far. This weekend made sense for me for some reason.
Starting point is 01:37:29 I was sitting there Sunday evening like, ah, this makes sense. I was like, I get it. I get it now. And now I'm ready for it all to break in week six and make me become the Joker. But all right, man, I appreciate you. See you next week. Thanks for watching, guys.
Starting point is 01:37:45 And bye.
