Starting point is 00:00:09 Welcome to the Eric Mataxis show. Please keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times. This is your final warning. Now here's your host, Mr. Thrill Ride himself. Eric Mataxis. Hey there, folks. Welcome to the Eric Mataxis show. Have I got something for you?
Starting point is 00:00:24 Don't you get happy when you can do something that you have no doubt is a good thing? Like there's just no, there's just no qualification. It's just a straight up good thing helping people. I've got my friend Franklin Graham on. He's going to talk about something he's been doing for a long time. It's called Operation Christmas Child. We participated last year. We talked about it on the air.
Starting point is 00:00:52 My friend Franklin, tell us about this extraordinary thing. I cannot believe the scope of what you guys do every year. Well, thank you. Eric is good to be with you. This is a program to reach children around the world and let them know that God loves them and cares for them. started this about 27 years ago, close to 200 million boxes that we had been able to send to children over about 130 different countries. And what we do, Eric, as a person takes a simple shoe box and packs it, we ask people to pray for the child that's going to get their box,
Starting point is 00:01:28 because I don't know who's going to get it. God does. But if we pray, I believe God will use this box in a very special way in that child's life. We know God hears a prayer of one righteous person. Could you imagine 11 million people praying for children? You know God's going to hear those prayers and answer those prayers. And so we pray that these gifts
Starting point is 00:01:52 will be used in a very special way to tell others about God's Son, Jesus Christ. And at Operation Christmas Child, we have families pack the boxes. They can bring them, mail up to Samaritan's purse. We have over 4,000 drop-off points in this country. They can go
Starting point is 00:02:07 to our website, Samaritan's First. $4,000. I'd like you to run voter and run the voting in the next election because this sounds like you guys have it going on. Okay, so practically speaking, I know there are a lot of people listening who say I would love to do that. It's very manageable. This is not some big crazy thing. So explain this to somebody who's, yeah, who's never heard of this before. What can they do? Should they go to a website first to kind of to get the information?
Starting point is 00:02:38 Sure. Absolutely. Go to our website and here's another thing here. If a person is because of the pandemic, they're afraid to go to a store, they can pack a box online. Last year we did about, I think it was around 25,000 shoeboxes this year. It's over, I'm looking at it right now. It's over 160,000 shoe boxes that are packed online so far this year. And so I understand the pandemic, people are afraid. But I think when there's a pandemic, we don't back up.
Starting point is 00:03:15 We just march forward and do more. We're going to need more boxes this year than ever. But our website has what you ought to put in a shoebox, not to put in a shoebox, and the closest drop-off place where you can take a shoebox if you want to mail it to us. Or if you're ready to take it out of the house. Before we forget, what is the website? It's samaritasperse.org. and then just click on.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Okay, so straight to Samaritan's purse. Okay, Samaritan'sprose.org. So that's the, just wanted to be sure there wasn't a different one. Samaritansperse.org. So folks, if they remember nothing else, they can go to Samaritans purse. Dot org. But you've been doing this for so long. And when I think, when you're talking about millions, I mean, tell us how many people you've reached over the last few years
Starting point is 00:04:02 and how many people you think you're going to reach this year. This is with the good news of Jesus. These are people all over the world, children. How many people are we talking about? Well, it's been over the 27 years, about 178 million. We'll do around 11 million this year. But we have a program after this is all set and done for the children that accept Christ as their savior. We have a 12-week discipleship program called the Greatest Journey.
Starting point is 00:04:30 We already have had over 25 million children that have taken this. in past years. And so it's an incredible program to disciple children and to get them into God's Word and we give every one of these children a Bible. They get a certificate that they've graduated from the greatest journey.
Starting point is 00:04:51 And for many of these children, this is the first time they've ever graduated from anything. But it's a wonderful opportunity to teach children about God's Word, His Son, Jesus Christ, because I want these children who have accepted Christ that we've taken through the greatest
Starting point is 00:05:07 journey, I want them to be able to share Christ with their friends, a multiplication. And so if we've got over 25 million that have done it, we hope that those 25 million will reach out to their friends and neighbors, and it could be 100 million children who could get saved as a result of
Starting point is 00:05:22 just this simple, simply packing a box and praying. And that's the key, Eric. It's just the prayers. Is this something God has done? Not something Franklin Graham has done. It's just God has done it. So we give him the praise and glory. Well, a beautiful idea, first of all. You've been doing this for so long, but some people will be new to this.
Starting point is 00:05:42 They haven't heard of this. And this is an amazing idea. Go through just so folks understand. The kid receives now, when you're talking 11 million, how many countries are you talking about? About 130 countries that we go in each year. I can't, I can't believe it. 130 countries. Okay. So last year was about 11 million. Anybody can do this one shoebox or as many as you want. So what goes into the shoe box, roughly speaking? Well, just think of this
Starting point is 00:06:15 toys. You've got a stuffed like a little bear here. A soccer ball. You think that's a bear? You think that's a bear? Yeah, then you got the picture of the family that gave the box. We ask everybody put your picture in there. You don't
Starting point is 00:06:31 realize how important it is for a child to see the family that gave the box. And then we ask him, put a letter, put a note in there to the child and tell them a little bit about yourself and put your address because hopefully that child will be in a position to be able
Starting point is 00:06:47 to write you back, put school supplies. You know, we've got crayons in here. You've got pins and paper and a brush for the hair. All kinds of just great things. But more important and everybody gets to individualize it, right?
Starting point is 00:07:03 In other words, they can put things in there there's different options and stuff, and the website will straighten you out, Samaritanspurse.org, Samaritansperse.org. So kids are getting sports equipment, kids are getting all this kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Now, you said at the website, you say what not to put in there. I would think like food, for example. Yeah, food, a candy bar, an apple, an orange. It won't make it, okay? And plus it can attract rodents. Do not. do not put a candy bar and apple and orange in there.
Starting point is 00:07:40 But Franklin, I know that the point of this is to show the love of Jesus and to communicate the love of Jesus. It's very hard for us in America to imagine that there are places around the world where they never hear about Jesus. They never hear about the love of the Lord for them personally. So this is a huge opportunity. And you've been doing it for so long that the idea you're in 100. I cannot even imagine what an operation we're talking about. It must be very gratifying to you to know that God is using Samaritan's person this way. Well, it's not just Samaritan's purse, but it's all of us.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Everybody who packs a shoebox, everybody who prays, we all part of it, and the fact that God would use a simple gift like this to touch the world. And so we're just grateful to him and we give him the thanks and we give him the glory because we certainly couldn't do without him. And this is, well, that's right. And we know that this is starting right now. People can get busy on this, starting now, starting this week. And the kids that receive this stuff, I just think in 130 countries, we need to get out of ourselves.
Starting point is 00:08:57 I mean, all of us are kind of obsessed with the news and what's going on around us. When you can get out of yourself for a few minutes and think, about a kid on the other side of the world potentially, opening something that you have prayed over. This is, you know, it ends up, you always hear this cliche, right? But it ends up ministering to us. It's really healthy for us to connect with the Lord by doing something for him for somebody else. It's just, it's an opportunity, I think, for those of us who are mired in our own stuff. We're at a time. Franklin Graham, I just get happy. looking at you, God is doing some wonderful stuff through you and through everybody who participates in this.
Starting point is 00:09:41 I want to tell people again, go to samaritansperse.org. This is a huge opportunity for the church for such a time as this. Thank you, my brother. God bless you. God bless you. Thank you. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Hey there, folks. What a day. What a day. I mean, I spoke to Dick Morris. I hope. I hope you share that video with people because there was an action point there that I'm going to bug you on forever. So you better just get it done. We spoke to John Zmirak. We had Franklin Graham on and holy guacamole. Look, it's KT. McFarland.
Starting point is 00:10:39 KT. McFarland. Welcome to this program. It's great to be with you again, Eric. I really appreciate what you're doing and the voice that you're leading the nation with. So keep it up and I'm delighted to be part of it. Well, I'm delighted to hear that you think of what I'm doing in a positive way because, you know, not everyone does. One is losing friends over these elections, which is a really grievous thing. You, of course, most recently were the Deputy National Security Advisor under General Flynn. We know what happened there. We know that Sidney Powell, the hero, Sidney Powell, who is his attorney, has fought heroically magnificent. and is now on top of this whole dominion thing. Do you have any thoughts on that before we talk about all these other things?
Starting point is 00:11:28 Because I have to say that when someone like Sidney Powell says clearly and authoritatively what she says and what she has said repeatedly, mostly on Lou Dobbs, and then on Mark Levin and Maria Bartamororo, I mean, my goodness, it sure sounds like we're on to something. bigger than any of us had dreamt. Do you have any thoughts on that situation? Yeah, I think a couple of things. Number one, I don't have any special insights. So my opinion of whether he won or lost, that's a guess. And I think it's a guess on the part of anybody if you don't have the facts. I do think that there's a lot of anecdotal evidence and a lot of anomalies that would indicate that in fact there was election corruption. But the problem is proving it. And I don't
Starting point is 00:12:15 know if Sidney Powell and the others can gather the evidence in enough time to convince. convince a judge to take legal action. But I think that put that aside for a second. And think about sort of at a 30,000 foot view of all of this, where are we as a nation? You know, probably the thing that upsets everybody the most, Republican Democrat, hate Trump, love Trump, is that we're so divided as a nation. And the Constitution provides for this sort of thing. It goes into great detail on what steps need to be taken through the courts, through forensic evidence, et cetera. Let the process play out. Why? It's not even to who won and who lost. It's the fact that half of the country thinks they've been robbed. And that's if Biden is declared president.
Starting point is 00:13:02 And the other half of the country will think they've been robbed if Trump is declared president. So where are we? I think if you have to have these legal processes play out, so at least people feel, if Biden has one, at least the Trump supporters can feel, okay, we've had our day in court, now we go back and regroup and we figure out what to do next. Because if you look at American history, the problem we have had in the last couple of elections is that, you know, in the good old days, for 200 years, we had an election, one side lost, they went home and licked their wounds, figured out what to do next, found a new leader, maybe new policies, and the other guy took office.
Starting point is 00:13:38 What do we have now? we have a constant, constant, constant fight. I think I remember in the 2000 election when we had that unprecedented delay of being very worried and saying this is very bad for the country because I know that we have to have confidence in our institutions. If we the people are actually the government,
Starting point is 00:14:02 then we the people have to believe that things work the way they're supposed to. We can trust our institutions. There are no shenanigans. Or at least when we see shenanigans, Manigans, we deal with them. I remember even after Watergate, people saying, well, it proves the system works, you know, that we got to the bottom of it or something. We have to have that kind of confidence. And clearly, we've been moving in the opposite direction. My guest earlier today, Dick Morris said that he's been speaking with the president
Starting point is 00:14:30 literally every day and that the president is asking all Americans to write to the top GOP legislators in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, and Georgia, because they constitutionally have the right, and you probably know this, I didn't really until Dick laid it out, but whether to certify or not, and if every American were to write to them, and he provides the information, I provided it, and I will continue to provide it in social media of what their emails are, the phone numbers, and so and so forth, that if every American would do that, just forcing them to do the right thing by the Constitution, at the very least, we would then have an accurate count. And then whoever won, we could all say, well, at least we know we went to this last step. But a lot of people, KT, and this is
Starting point is 00:15:23 why I'm so suspicious, a lot of people on the other side, the Biden team, most absurdly, are waving away anyone who seems to say, can we hang on a minute and do this right? And they're saying, no, no, no, it's already been decided. We spent $300 with the graphic designer to design a phony office of the president-elect background just to prove to all the people who don't know that there isn't such a thing as a president-elect until he's actually declared that officially. We're just going to gaslight the American public because we don't want to have there be any question because we think it seems to me that they will lose if there's any actual pausing and counting.
Starting point is 00:16:01 In other words, they don't seem to be doing the right thing by the American people and being bipartisan. They use terms like let's all unify and stuff. And yet they don't seem to do the most basic things to guarantee that we could all unify. Yeah, it's just empty words. I mean, Eric, you know, all right. So let's say Biden does, you know, he does become president. And they do rush through this. He's setting himself up for a massive failure because half the country will look at him and say he's illegitimate. And we know we've got crises ahead in the next couple of years. Half the country will think he's taking us in the wrong direction and he doesn't deserve to be there. So I think he's just just setting himself up for a massive failure.
Starting point is 00:16:43 The other reason for it is if you look not just at who did or didn't win for the presidency, look at all of the races around the country at the state houses and the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, who won? Trumpism won. Trump's policies won overwhelmingly. My daughter ran for the Florida State House of Representatives. First-time candidate in a Democrat district, and she won overwhelmingly because she ran on those policies. And that's what's happened all across the country. The other thing is that if you look at where the Republican Trump's party is going, it's more Hispanics, it's more blacks, it's more
Starting point is 00:17:21 women, it's more veterans. That's the party of the future. So if Joe Biden thinks he's going to, I guess, I don't know, big foot his way into the White House, okay, you might get there, but I've been in a number of administrations. I've been in the Oval Law. with four different presidents. And if you don't have the ability to rally the country around you, that office is worth nothing. In fact, it's worth less than nothing because it takes the country in a very dark place. And I think that's what Biden's setting up. Words to the contrary, but that's where he's going. Right. Well, that's, I mean, you're saying what I have been feeling. And I think, but what's funny is that, you know, if you're the sort of person that, what do they call it? You know,
Starting point is 00:18:04 There are people that try to, they're trained to spot con men, confidence men. They say, well, that's a tell. If he does that, I don't know. I would be suspicious. When I saw Kamala Harris and the vice president celebrating, I thought to myself, that is really kind of sick. Like, that's not appropriate. Why are they doing that?
Starting point is 00:18:28 The reason I find it sick is that they're doubling down in such a way that if this thing does go the other way, which I think by God's grace, it will, the country will be far more divided and far more chaotic than it would be if Biden soberly with some statesman-like thinking did the right thing and said, we're committed to a fair election. By not doing this and by prematurely declaring himself president-elect, and by posting this phony signage and talking about his transition team and celebrating with Kamala, it really struck me as a way of knowing what's really going on. If you knew nothing else, he'd say that's not somebody who's confident that he won. That's not what he would do. He set the country out for four years of massive division. Either he wins and
Starting point is 00:19:27 half the country thinks that he got there by cheating, or he doesn't win, and half the country thinks that Trump got there by cheating. And why is because Biden's unceremonious haste to declare himself president. You know, we have a process. The process will be over in two or three weeks at the most, and let the process play out. Do you not care about the American people enough to give them two weeks? I don't know. The whole thing just sits very ill with me. And I think if he is the president, that he will be accepting a poison chalice that he's poisoned himself. Wow. That's a dramatic image, but it's a good image.
Starting point is 00:20:06 Americans don't typically talk about chalises. Thank you for bringing us into a more patrician realm. That's very interesting, KT. And I guess I can see it myself intuitively that if you long to be president for five decades and then you finally get it somehow. It's almost like you can see the play or you can see the tragedy. You finally are the movie.
Starting point is 00:20:30 You get what you want, and it turns to dust in your hands because you wanted it so badly that you forgot the whole idea of what it meant and what America is. We'll be right back, folks. I'm talking to KT. McFarland, her book is Revolution,

I'm willing to lay my heart, you know, on the line. Here's the issue. Mike Lindell with My Pillow.
Starting point is 00:22:04 You may notice that I have a bobblehead of him near me. He's here to remind all of us that when you go to MyPillow.com, you get whopping discounts if you use the code Eric. Okay. Now, there are a lot of people who haven't done that, and we have your names here. And Chris Heim's Ann Albin pointed out to me that there's like three pages of you whose first name is Eric. You, you're so, I mean, that's humiliating for me that even though your name is Eric,
Starting point is 00:22:37 you're still not willing to use the code Eric. I mean, if you don't want to use it because it's my name, use it because it's your name. But the point is that I see who you are, and I just feel humiliated by this. Please go to go to mypillar.com. It's okay, Mike. It's going to be okay. Go to mypillar.com. Use the code Eric.
Starting point is 00:22:56 You're going to get whopping savings and really high quality. products. Did I mention that? Thank you. Hey there, folks. Welcome back. I'm talking to KT. McFarland, who is someplace in the Hamptons in what looks like in orangery. Is that what that is, KT? Well, yes. I mean, it's my conservatory. I'm a wild gardener. I bring lots of plants in for the winter, and I spend my day here surrounded my beautiful plants and have the privilege of talking to someone like you who's half a world away. I just love the idea that you have set up, these beautiful. I mean, again, if people listening on the radio, they don't know what we're talking about, but you've got these gorgeous. It looks like lemon trees. They are, yeah. Behind you. And has Trini Lopez ever visited you there in Hamptons? Thank you. No, but wouldn't he love my lemon? No one got that joke, Trini Lopez. Okay, look, we've got to get more serious. You were talking just a moment ago about how you think Biden has set us up for grotesque division in the country. country that if he wins, which I don't think he will, but he has set us up for division.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Here's what I would say, what I hope will happen. And many, many thousands and millions are praying for this nation at this time, which I think will be the deciding factor, honestly. But it strikes me that what will happen because of this bizarre period in which we're living right now because neither one on election night. It seems to me that this is going to give us the ability to see some things, some corruption, some malfeasance that we wouldn't have seen before and that it will be a service to those on the fence, that if Trump does get in, in fact, as a result of this, that there are going to be people who will be exposed as having conspired to do some of
Starting point is 00:25:08 these things that we're suspecting. Who were those people? What kind of people would do this kind of a thing in an election like this? So that's my hope is that that would bring some of the country together. I guess, I just want to ask you, you don't know much about the Dominion situation, but you do know Sidney Powell. You probably know Lynn Wood. These are not people to be taken lightly. The reason that I take what Sydney Powell has said so seriously is because of who Sidney Powell is. She doesn't seem the kind of person to just blow smoke on TV. No, she's not frivolous. She's a very serious lawyer, and she's taken real David and Goliath cases in the past, and she's always prevailed. But again, let this play out. You know, let's everybody take
Starting point is 00:26:03 a big, deep breath for two weeks. Enjoy your families, or however many of them, you're allowed to talk to and be with over the holidays. And then let the country and let the experts sort it out. Not a bunch of politicians, not a bunch of TV commentators. Just let the country do its job. Let the judges, let the lawyers, let the forensics experts, let the cyber experts. The ball is in their court and we will see what they come up with. Because here's the thing, no matter what happens with this election, we know two things going forward, that there is the opportunity and potential for cyber interference, one way or another, voting machine calculations getting changed, election tallies getting hacked into. We also know that voting
Starting point is 00:26:46 by mail is fraught with some problems, especially in states which have never done it before, never done it in this kind of velocity. You know, I've talked to plenty of people. I'm sure we all have. Plenty of people in New Jersey. I talked to one guy who said, oh, I got four out ballots that came to my house. It was almost like I said, dear John Smith. or a current resident. And I've talked to people in New York who've had multiple ballots. I've also talked to people in other states
Starting point is 00:27:11 whose dad-grannie got a ballot. So, you know, we are entering into a period where it's not going to be like the good old days where everybody went on election day and pulled a lever. So we ought to be prepared for what happens next. And maybe this, the good news, the silver lining of this crisis,
Starting point is 00:27:26 as that every state in the country will do what states like Florida have done and make real secure mechanisms for how we vote. and to track how people vote and to match signatures and to demand that people show some kind of identification when they go into the voting booths. So we'll see. I think that that could be the only silver lining I see coming out of this, though. Well, I, you know, again, I think that if you suspect fraud, you're obliged to do everything you can to uncover it. And I have seen enough
Starting point is 00:28:03 whether it's anecdotal evidence or other kinds of evidence to make me sure that there have been people trying to cheat. I mean, if you have people keeping GOP, I'm trying to think of the term, you know, inspectors, people who are supposed to be overseeing the vote to make sure that's fair. If you're keeping them not just at arm's length. Election supervisors are, yeah, people who are going in. Each party, by the way, in every state, in every jurisdiction in the country, each party is allowed an election observer to show up not only during the elections,
Starting point is 00:28:40 but during the counting of the balance. Well, that's kind of what I'm saying. So when you see that not happening, what other conclusion would any person draw that somebody's trying to hide something? I mean, if you think you won, you would have no problem with somebody watching you count the votes. But we saw this in several,
Starting point is 00:29:03 places. Many people saw it happen in Michigan. I spoke on the phone. I spoke on this program with somebody who was very close to John James, who was running for Senate, who went there to volunteer himself. And when he asked a question about something he saw that looked odd to him, he was called, he was asked, are you a racist? Now, this is the man who is extremely close to the black a senatorial candidate. Now, I think to myself, if that's what's going on in this one case that I know about, I've heard of many others, it doesn't look good for the Democrats. I have to say the onus to me is on them and they don't seem to be cooperating. We'll be right back, folks. I'm talking to KT. McFarlane. Those are two initials. KT. McFarlane. We'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Hey there, folks. How many years have I been telling you about relief factor? What, like four? The truth is, I know there are millions of people. In fact, some say over a hundred, million people struggling with some kind of pain, maybe from exercise, just getting older, that could do it, getting older, which is why I am so impressed with Pete and Seth Talbot. They are on a mission. You rarely see this kind of focus and commitment. Seriously, they recently shared with me that they are doubling down and want to literally double their total number of happy customers in the next year, and I believe they'll do it.
Starting point is 00:30:29 So here's the deal. If you're struggling with back, neck, shoulder, hip, or knee pain, even general muscle, aches and pains, then I'm suggesting you order their three-week quick start. discounted to only $19.95, about a dollar a day to see if we can get you out of pain too. And then after that, less than the cost of a cup of coffee, a day to stay at a pain. Go to relieffactor.com, relief factor.com or call 800, 500, 8384. Relieffactor.com, 800, 500, 8384. I use it. It works. Check it out.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Make like a Mr. Milk toast, you'll get shot out. Hey, folks, it's here for the Texas show. Good news. I've got some good news for you. First of all, first piece of good news, my guest right now is KT. McFarland. KT. Welcome. And thank you so much for your time. It's always a pleasure. Thank you. I know you'd really much rather be doing needlework or something in that orangery. You don't want to be on the, you know, having to dress up with pearls and stuff. Although something tells me you're always dressed up that way. But let me just say the other good news, and you were just sharing with me, that you were just watching your daughter. Fiona McFarland be sworn in in Florida as a member of Congress?
Starting point is 00:31:53 Is this, I mean, this is amazing. She's actually for the Florida House of Representatives. This is my daughter who is 30, just turned 35 yesterday. And she was sworn in today. She ran for the first time, ran for the Florida State House of Representatives from Sarasota. She's a Naval Academy graduate surface warfare officer. a naval lieutenant commander of the Navy reserves and a brand new mom. And what I, I must say,
Starting point is 00:32:21 as much as I look around the country today and say, oh, you know, what a mess we're all. And in particularly the baby boomers, my generation, I look and think, whoa, what a mess they've made of it, whether it's Schumer or Pelosi or Trump or Joe Biden. I mean, you know, really, this is an old generation. And yet I look at the next generation, particularly of conservatives. And it's a totally different thing. They're not necessarily ideological. They have strong faith. They have strong values, strong conservative principles in the sense of small government. But if you look at the Republican Party today at the state level, it's got a lot of new faces. And they're black, they're Hispanic, they're women, they're veterans, and they're all really impressive. And so as much as I kind of wonder
Starting point is 00:33:09 about the country today, I look to the future and say, this is the next generation, this is the leadership generation. And they're all smack-dab fabulous, whether they're Republicans or Democrats. I mean, my daughters are Republican and won in a Democrat district. And she won because the country, in fact, is not nuts. The country doesn't want to defund the police. It doesn't want to have socialism. The country doesn't want to do a lot of the things that the more, the quote, progressive, really communist swing of the Democrat Party wants to do. The country, in fact, likes the conservative Trump policies. And so I'm quite encouraged, not only of the real sweep, the red wave that happened
Starting point is 00:33:52 in state houses all across the country, but the fact that if you look at the Republican leadership and the next generation, they're awesome. If you look at the Democrat leadership, who do you have? The squad, AOC? I don't think that they're really where the country is. That's, I think, you know, yet another reason I think Trump actually won. And in fact, I'm sure he won, but the question is whether he will be able to be. To prove it. You have to prove it. To prove it, right. But I guess the madness of the Democrats lurching to the left in this way, I think that they are destroying their party. In other words, if you don't have any actual moderates, I mean, people would have assumed Biden would have been one. But it's obvious. obvious that he's either nothing or he is simply weak in going along with whoever pushes the hardest. But I think that they're destroying themselves because, as you said, if you're not nuts,
Starting point is 00:34:49 you can't vote for that. I mean, the idea of open borders, the idea of so many of their ideas are patently ridiculous. And I think, you know, if you have a job, if you have a kid like your daughter now does, you just don't go for that stuff. And it seems to me that most Americans, if they're given a choice between anything and then socialist madness, they're going to go for the anything. Yeah, Americans really aren't nuts. And America is, as my old boss Ronald Reagan said, America is a center-right country.
Starting point is 00:35:20 And the media is not. And the Washington power brokers and the ruling elites, you know, they're the status quo. They want things exactly the way they've been with them in charge. And they're not center-right. They're really just all about themselves. and I guess to the extent that the media has any ideologies, it's far left. But the country, that's why it's so important for the leaders to be able to connect to the country directly.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Reagan was very good at it. Trump in his own way was quite good at it too. We're using Twitter to kind of go ahead, go over the heads of the media mob. But we'll have to see what happens in the next two weeks. Either, you know, whatever happens, Eric, it breaks my heart. But I think we are set up for four more years of screaming at each other. Washington. And all of the crises we're going to be facing. How do you rebuild an economy, which has been pretty devastated? How do you deal with the crisis of the vaccine and who gets it
Starting point is 00:36:15 and when do they get it and how do they get it? How do you deal with a rising China? I'm a foreign policy expert and I'm terrified at what China's got planned for the next couple of years. Well, I wouldn't be terrified if Trump were president. That's the, no, no, exactly. But they've got a plan and their plan is to replace the United States within five years. much harder to do it with Donald Trump, who's the only guy who's ever stood up to China. But if Joe Biden is president, I mean, you know, something that nobody noticed, but yesterday, the Chinese signed a multilateral trade agreement with 12 nations in Asia, the major trading nations.
Starting point is 00:36:50 And why did they do that? Because the Asian nations are looking to think, oh, if Joe Biden's going to be president, he doesn't have our back. We better make the deal we can with China right now while we can. because China is China represents a threat to all of them. And yet they can't, they can't stand up to China without American leadership. And nobody thinks Joe Biden's going to stand up to China. Oh, I mean, I think that I want somebody to redo Doobie Brothers China Grove with the lyrics, China Joe.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Whoa, whoa, China Joe. I think that he is, he is our worst nightmare. He is the genuine Manchurian candidate who is absolutely un-eastern. able to see evil. Anyone who has suffered under communism understands you're dealing with evil, inhuman evil that doesn't believe in the sanctity of the human being, the sanctity of the individual or anything. And we have, look, we've had it since, you know,
Starting point is 00:37:48 the beginning of the 20th century, people willing to play patty cake with Lenin and Stalin and so on and so forth, people that naive, that foolish. And then some other people who are simply that greedy, they don't care. They figure, well, if somebody's going to make money, it might as well be me. I just want to ask you, we've got 30 seconds left. How did you get to work for Reagan? I mean, what was your upbringing that you and your family seemed to be public servants? How did that happen for you?
Starting point is 00:38:17 I grew up in a working class family in the Midwest. I had to pay my way through college. I got a scholarship to George Washington University and a nighttime job as the night shift secretary for Henry Kissinger, who was national security advisor to President Nixon. So I go back to age 18 working in the White House. That's insane. I want to talk to you about this. I've met Kissinger a few times. I'm not impressed. No, just kidding. There's so much I want to talk to you about KT. We'll get you back. Just a joy to see your happy face in such a nice setting. We needed a little of that. God bless you to be continued. Thank you. When you see the Mugsy books and the Birthday ABC, you see what he's capable of. The Caveman books are kind of more of his abbreviated cartoon style. But we're going to have all those books up at my store.com very soon.
Starting point is 00:43:09 we want you to begin thinking about Christmas, remember? Yes, Christmas is going to happen this year. I declare it in the name of the Lord.
