A little later on the Monday episode, but hey, that's what we do here.
We get it on the air when it's time to get on the air.
That's what we're doing.
What's going to happen today?
Well, we're going to talk about the fact that Ben Affleck wants to play Hulk Hogan.
When the hell did that come about?
What happened?
What happened to Chris Hemsworth?
And then we're going to discuss speaking of wrestling, SummerSlam,
and I remember we can play the clip where I said certain things were going to happen.
And Rokka said, that was crazy.
No, that's not going to happen.
I'm going to wait to WrestleMania.
He was wrong.
And I was right once again.
So that's what happens on this show.
Last of us had a little bit of a teaser, kind of, not really.
So we'll discuss that.
Martin Scores says he says he's not doing the big grand scale things anymore.
He's done with it.
He's not doing that.
He doesn't want to do it anymore.
So he said, no, no, no.
I want to go back to smaller things, which is fine.
And Deadpool and Wolverine kicking Ace in the box office.
So that and more.
on today's show. So I already see a lot of people have already put their super chats in there.
Amazing. Loving it. We're going to talk about all that. So it is myself and John Roker on the show here today.
So let's get added, everybody. It's the big thing. You ready? Yeah, me too. Here we go.
And scene. Oh, that's not it. Oh, that's sad. Oh, there we go.
What's up, everybody? Welcome back. It is the big thing.
With myself, John Roker.
What's up, John?
What's up, buddy?
More lies you tell in this intro.
I watched the footage today.
I said that Gunther was going to win the title.
You said, no, he's not.
I said it was too soon.
I didn't say no, he's not.
You said, no, he won't.
You're crazy.
It's too soon.
That's what you said.
You don't like to admit when you're wrong, huh?
Well, in your mind, you manipulate the footage.
I've seen the AI and all the stuff, but it frustrates me.
Sure. I wish I wouldn't be sitting here on a Monday with you if I could manipulate AI.
That's true. It's a fair point.
Well, that's, yeah, that's, it was a good, it was a good weekend, though, for wrestling overall.
Did you like this? Did you like the SummerSlam?
Yeah, I loved it, man. I did a watch along that's up on my channel, like four hours of that stuff and really enjoyed it.
Roman Rain's coming back. What a phenomenal surprise that was.
I know a lot of people predicted it, but I still felt it was still a little too soon, but he
came back in the right way and
it just blew the doors off everything.
I don't think you saw the numbers, but the
response was off the charts, came back
with a new shirt, the new shirt's almost sold out already.
Of course. There were a lot of good matches.
The first two matches were a little, but then it really
picked up steam and it was fantastic.
You don't like Ray Ripley. You don't like, but you don't like Live.
No, I don't like. I'm not a live. Live is a mid
card wrestler. She's, she's
most of the dudes, because she's hot,
most of the guys are like, she's a great wrestler.
She's a decent wrestler. She's not a great
wrestler. Compare that to the Naya Jackson
Bailey match. That was a much better
match overall from both
of those ladies. And you could argue, Naya
was kind of in the same position a few
years ago, but she's grown. Live
has hit her ceiling. You're not going to get much more out of
live, man. I mean, that the angle they're
going with with Dom is interesting. That's great. That's great.
It's a lot of fun. So that and the punk
stuff played pretty well. You can just tell
it he's, good on punk.
You know, he knows, he knows
what he's doing now. I love that man, so
much. You didn't, right?
Huh? You didn't. Did you always?
Oh, I always loved.
Oh, you did?
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, I thought he had a good run or what he did.
Yeah, the stuff with Gunther worked very well.
Yeah.
The, I'm trying to think what else that really the big, the bigger event.
Oh, the Logan Paul match, even though, you know, he's bummed about that.
I knew he would, I knew that what's his face would win, but I was kind of hoping that Logan Paul would win.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was not a rally night to win the belt.
Yeah, I know, I know.
I know. I'm just, I'm just, as you're not a live guy, I'm just not a big guy.
I don't know you hate 40-year-olds.
I don't know what they do.
Yeah, no.
But he's fine.
He's entertaining, but I don't, I don't get the hype.
But anyway, so overall, I was watching, I watched, I was bummed, man, because my little
one was the one I told you was the one who's into wrestling now.
She's like, oh, dad, I can't wait to watch wrestling within a match.
And she watched a Rio Ripley match.
She goes, I want to watch Camp Kikiwaka, whatever that else.
I'm like, really?
She's like, yeah, I don't want to watch it.
I didn't get a chance to watch you.
I've been watching that umbrella academy, though, man.
Oh yeah, you're catching up, huh?
And it's all caught up.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, I did the interview with David Kestaneda today.
It'll air next week because I got, I got Murray from the Impractical Jokers on tomorrow's episode.
Very.
Do you watch that show?
No, it's not my jam, man.
I'm surprised.
Have you tried to watch a couple of clips?
Because it's not, I don't like prank shows.
It's not a prank show, though.
Yeah, I know.
They've been on for many years.
They've had big Comic-Con.
set-ups, but it's just not my jam. It's not my kind of humor for whatever reason.
I see, but I don't, but that's, I don't agree with that because I know your sense of humor.
What do you mean you? I don't know your sense of humor. Because I know your sense of humor.
And like the New York humor, I would say like there's certain bits you might not have
seen the right bit, but I'm telling you, there's things that you and I have laughed at together
that's very similar with these guys. And what, what, what he, there's just one bit they do in
this season where they make, they make Murray, they Murray loses the punishment. So they make him go to
White Castle, but they put the horn, they control the horn.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh. So he pulls up behind these people and he's like, and he's just sitting there and he got him in
this car and he's in this kind of midlife crisis outfit. And, and they start jamming on the horn.
And he's like, this one guy, they make him start saying this stuff. He's like, control your woman.
He's just like, oh, my God, this guy's going to kill me. And he's like, control your man. It's like,
oh, my God. It was, I was losing my mind. I thought that was, that was,
really funny. So that that's coming out.
It's on Tuesday.
I have, I got some pretty good, I got, oh, I got, I always
forget his last name. Nestor from
Shogun. Oh, Nestor Carbonell.
Nice.
Mr. Carbonell is coming on.
Yeah. So we got some, we had a really good thing.
We launched that Clips Channel. I was telling you, like last,
last week, I was telling you we needed to get to 500, right?
I was wrong. We needed to get to a thousand, but we hit
1,200 or a 1200.
on that show. That Robert Eiler
thing took off, man. We did some...
Of course, Robert Eiler, man. Oh, but we had him
talking, it's so funny, man.
Like, Roxy's credit, she was telling me,
she goes, you gotta do,
you gotta make sure you keep doing the clips. I was like, my clips
never work for me. Every time I tried
to clip, they never worked for me. And
I did, because I was bummed, I did the Robert Eiler interview
and it did like 12,000 views. I was like, okay,
that's not bad. I had one clip
with him talking about Tony Serico, it's on almost
200,000 views. People
want to watch, people talk about
things they love. It's clips and they want to watch the clipouts of it too. And I put,
I put clips from this show on there too. So I didn't know it. I have a, I have a Clips
channel. So there you go. All right. So let's let's talk about this main story because I don't know
where this story came. I have no idea where this story came from it. But it's been, it's been
absolutely everywhere. Yeah. That is the fact that Ben Affleck apparently is,
look, I end to play Hulk Hogan. I've got an update on this stuff. So it's set it up really well.
I've got an update on it. All right, all right. I want to hear the other.
perfect. So Ben Affleck may play Hulk Hogan, question mark. A new report indicates that Ben Appel is
eyeing the role of wrestler Hulk Hogan for the new film, Killing Gawker, according to PW Insider.
The outlet indicates that the film is currently being set up at Affleck and Matt Damon's
artist equity production company, and it is targeting a January filming start. Should it go forward,
Affleck and Damon would not only produce, but co-star with Affleck as Hogan and Damon as billionaire
investor, Peter Thiel. The screenplay penned by the big short scribe Charles Randolph has been around
for a while and is based on Ryan Holliday's 2018 book conspiracy, Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker,
and the anatomy of intrigue. The book dealt with the lawsuit that W.W.W.E. Hall of Famer
Hogan filed against the now defunct celebrity gossip website Gawker. Thale, a former CEO of PayPal,
funded Hogan's lawsuit in secret. Hogan ended up winning a judgment for 115 million in damages,
and Gawker was shuttered. The book was previously operational.
back at the time of release, but that has presumably lapsed.
A Hulk Hogan biopic has been long talked about at Netflix with Chris Hemsworth
starring and Todd Phillips directing. One of the big reasons Hemsworth got so big for
Thor at Love and Thunder was his preparation for the role. However, Hogan revealed last
year the film is no longer moving forward at the streamer.
All right. So John, a lot to take in here, man.
There's a lot to take in here. So why start with it? What's the update?
So this just dropped a few minutes ago.
From my co-host on the Hot Mike and our friend, Jeff Snyder,
Gus Van Sant is set to reunite with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon,
his goodwill hunting coach or actors there to direct this film,
Killing Gawker, where Hogan, where Affleck will play Hogan,
and Damon is going to play Peter Thiel, as you said.
So this to me now is a go with Charles Randolph writing the script.
This is a go.
This is happening.
Much more than the Chris Hemsworth, Hulk Hogan,
biopic. This is actually
different. I think this is more
like the big short. I think this is more like
exploring what happened here in a
commentary about gossip sites
in the 90s and celebrity. So I don't
think it's going to be a biopic where we see
Hulk Hogan rise to the top. This is very much
going to be the court case and we're going to see
both sides of it. So I don't know if
Ben Affleck's going to do one promo in this thing.
It's going to be much more him as
Terry Belaya than Hold on. 100%.
And I'll tell you, so here's
here's all the stuff that I think
lands right about this movie.
The story, right?
Yes.
The idea of what you just said.
The director, the reteaming of Affleck and Damon as in general, this seems like something
that they would do in the air type of story, but making it and look into what they can do
to show.
And you know Ben Affleck's history with with paparazzi social media, that type of stuff.
And it's disdain for it.
So you understand why all that would make.
the writing the writers all of this seems to make sense except for one thing go ahead aflick as hogan
like wait i'm not telling you he can't get big i'm not telling you he's going to be an obstacle
for him to put on the mustache and everything else and not look like he's going to a
Halloween party. I don't know. And I also, and that guy that played Flair in, that move was
a freaking Iron Claw, Iron Claw. Yeah. That movie, minus him, phenomenal. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But that guy came off trying to be an actor doing an impression of a wrestler. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's the problem. And, and as you said, it's probably not him trying to do the, oh, yeah, brother, it's probably
him doing more of the Terry Belaya stuff.
But it's the only thing I just,
he would never pop up on a list of the people that you're going to say,
who's going to play Terry Belay.
Ben Affleck's name would never be in there.
That's fair.
That's fair.
But I have a lot of faith in him.
He's played Daredevil.
He's played Batman.
He's played Superman in a way when he played George Reeves in that Hollywood land film.
And now he's tackling another American icon in Hulk Hogan.
But it's Terry Belaya.
So it's going to be a different thing.
And so he'll bring his own.
spin and vibe and energy to it.
And look, I just watched an hour of the town again yesterday,
just randomly in the middle of the day.
And I was like, this guy is such a good actor.
I hope there's more for him to sink his teeth into.
Let's see what he can do with this.
I have faith that he can bring it to play Terry Belaya.
And so I'm excited to see what he can do with it.
I hope that somebody said goodwill hulking,
which I thought was hilarious.
And other people think it might be a train wreck.
I can see that.
certainly you can have you just depends and look and like a good buddy ed at ed haskell's like
hogan is 260 ben's what maybe 200 uh-uh ben aff is a big dude ben afflick at his at his heaviest was
like 240 or something yeah and don't forget this was slimmed down hoag this is 90s hogan yeah but aflick's
like all i've stood next to yeah it's a tall dude and he's not big for batman he got massive
for batman putting on the weight to play hogan that that's not my issue right right right can you look at
can you look at him and say that I believe that that's Terry Belay.
I believe that that's Hogan and not Affleck trying to play Hogan.
I wonder why he made this choice as opposed to saying,
let's find a big dude that can play him and I'll direct this thing again.
And Damon will do the same thing we did for air.
That worked.
Yeah, he played Phil Knight in that movie.
And I don't know if many people would have thought of him for Phil Knight.
I think he did a nice job as Phil Knight.
Well, wait a minute, though.
Playing Phil Knight.
of someone like, you know,
I have to Google search
if you look like. I mean, come on.
Hulk Hogan is Hulk Hogan. Even if you're not a wrestling fan,
you know what Hulk Hogan looks like. Right, right.
Yeah, but I think it's a challenge for him.
And I think this is like a late attempt
for them to get the band back together to maybe
get onto the radar for Oscars.
I think you have to start looking at this. This is a film now.
When you get Van Sint, you get Randolph,
you get Affleck and Damon,
and their artist equity involved,
I think this is a play like Air,
where they're trying to maybe make a move here
with a small independent film about a big topic
and an icon like Michael Jordan,
Air and Hogan and this,
that will get the public's attention,
some of the mainstream public's attention,
and perhaps lead them to some nominations
in the Oscars down the road.
So the fact that this is all coming together this quickly
makes me feel like this is totally going to happen.
I feel like it is too.
I agree with you.
I don't think this is something,
that's like, ah, it's just kind of a rumor in the way, or not a rumor, but like they're talking
about it the way about the Hemsworth side of it, right? Because I don't think that you've got a
better chance of the Ryan Johnson Star Wars trilogy happening before you have the Hemsworth
Hogan movie, because that movie, it's just, it just ain't going to happen. I mean,
Hemsworth, when he was on Josh Harwich's a show, I think like a year ago, and Josh asked him
about it. And he's, and the way that he answered it, it's like you forgot about it. Yeah, yeah.
he would have been great
he would have been great in the
watching him running around the ring like old school
and the way that they were going to
yeah that that would have been great
but um I just don't know if that's going to happen
I'm not I think after the recent pictures of him
where the guy who's got neo-Nazi tattoos
like this it's just Hogan keeps stepping in shit
every time and eventually that's going to push it
so far away that no one wants to see it so
yeah and I I not a good look
as far as taking that picture but let me let me
ask you a question with that with that particular
picture. Is it possible
that the guy had and Hogan was so clueless
he didn't even check the guy's arm for the tattoos?
I think anything is possible for sure.
And you're talking Florida
and Hogan's out there.
Let me check your tattoos before I say.
Yeah, exactly. Who's Hogan out working for him that's going to
check the tattoo? Probably nobody.
Probably the bad boys or whatever their names
were the nasty boys. The nasty boys right.
The nasty boys are probably
just a good to be out. He didn't know.
Yeah, and you don't have these on.
You probably can't tell us.
Who knows?
But either way, any one of these documentaries that are made, man,
like they were going to do a Vince one.
They were going to do Vince one.
Yeah, but they were going to, but like, you can't be.
The people involved can't be anywhere near.
Oh, 100%.
Vince was supposed to be involved in the one.
And that definitely can't be a case now.
Ogan was supposed to be involved in this.
They can't be anywhere near it in the same way that like, look,
I liked the Bohemian Rhapsody, but it would have been a very different movie.
if the state didn't have a have a say in it.
Yeah, that's what's frustrating?
Because what's the one that's coming up that,
oh, the Madonna bio.
Yeah, she's directing it or something.
I should not direct or executive.
It's not going to be the truth at all, at all.
I mean, there's certain things, you're like, yeah,
you're like, if I'm directing, I'm directing my movie.
And I'm like, oh, you don't, hey, we want to put the Galaxy's Edge stuff in there.
Fuck that.
Put that in there.
But it, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but,
But people want to see why you fucking lost your mind.
No, I'll put it in.
I would argue with you that you do put it in because look at how you've recovered
and how incredible you're saying.
Put it in there, but put all the blame on everybody else.
I'll direct it.
And we'll make it a full comedy and we'll say that that's, of course.
You know what I mean?
Another one, your AI things where you're reading.
100%.
You don't direct your own shit.
You may, because if you did, you do your own stuff.
Of course.
Of course.
Yeah.
But all those wrestling docs, man, every single one of them.
Yeah, every single one of them.
That being said, if you guys aren't watching the A&E Biography Legends this season,
they've been exceptional, like exceptional.
And speaking of biographies and docs,
if you're not watching those in your big pro wrestling fan, you're missing out.
I'm catching up on a couple now.
They're so good.
So they just had the Becky Lynch one.
So I highly, highly recommend those.
But yes, in terms of biopic films, it's a tough thing to do, Christian,
because, I mean, the pro wrestling movies don't really make a lot of money.
So it's tough to do with Iron Claw.
That should have been nominated for Best Picture.
Should have been nominated for Best Actor for Zach Ephron.
But nothing happened for it, you know.
So hope they know.
It's so job political it is, though, too.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, there was no one was pushing for him.
No one was pushing for him.
Like, it was, it was a criminal how no one was pushing for him.
And it was, that's his best performance he's ever done.
100%.
Easily.
Easily.
So I don't know.
between that and there's well
I think that I'm excited to see what they do
with the Affleck thing and it's also
he's probably
I don't I don't know I don't know how it's gonna
how it's gonna play I really who plays Bubba the Love Spudge
because remember it was his wife yeah he was having sex with
they're gonna show that scene
of course they're gonna show that in course
I'm gonna do it in black and white
look at the camera of course they're gonna show that scene
maybe that's much maybe that's why you want to
do because he's not going to because i think right now he's having problems with your girl oh with uh
i love jalo yeah yeah yeah what he used this like jela more than anyone else i know well because she
has made it's look on one side i respect the fact that she's made such a career made so much money
with little to middling talent uh compared to other people wow yeah in my opinion
You look, J-Lo's had maybe three or four good movies where she's actually acted passably well and or good.
Hustlers, Selena, out of sight.
And maybe I'll give you a Maiden Manhattan or another one that you want to throw in there.
But the rest of the stuff has been comical.
Like watching her act has been bad.
And so, and singing-wise, clearly she got exposed on TikTok for how terrible she is.
Singing-wise.
And then dancing-wise, her choreography is kind of boring.
Paul Abdul blows her out of the water.
So for me, for whatever reason, and I think Brad Gilmore is a good example of this,
because Brad Gilmore had the hots for her.
That's what has sold her for all these years.
I just don't think she's that great of a talent.
There are much better Latina actresses that are working today
that deserve much more credit than J-Lo gets.
But she's smart.
She knows the social media.
She's worked it out.
She's made her money.
But, of course, recently everything has come crashing down finally.
So then you say you liked her in hustle, though, right?
Yeah, hustlers.
Yes, she was damn good in hustlers.
Yeah.
Those are four.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know a harsher critic to jail than you.
It's true.
That's true.
Very Kurt Anglish.
You should go on TikTok.
You'll find much larger critics.
I'm sure.
Well, I don't do that.
I try to get my sanity by not going there.
Every time I can guarantee it, I know for a fact,
where you, Kalinowski, whoever, I know that I, that within,
within, you can't go without two hours, if that, without posting something.
Posting something.
Well, it's the longest you've gone without sending a tweet.
Well, I've gone, not promoting stuff.
I've gone days without sending a tweet.
I've gone days.
But like recently, there's so much happening that I just feel like to toss out my two
cents on stuff, you know.
But yeah.
But I stand behind it too.
Oh, yeah, sure.
I don't think, I don't think anything you're saying you don't believe.
I don't, you know.
Yeah.
And I don't like, I've only deleted what, two or three tweets in my, like big tweets in my entire life.
And then, but I've, but I've never liked, I've never like stopped comments on a tweet.
Like, I don't recall that I've ever done that because I think that's kind of running away from the drama or controversy.
Because if you tweet something controversial, you've got to stand behind it, you know?
Yeah, so much.
Post and run, my friend.
Post and I know.
You're the best at it.
All right.
So let's scoot over, man, because we got more stuff that.
that is in the news cycle at the moment.
Okay.
And one of those things, as we get past Affleck,
let's talk about One Piece.
I know you haven't watched this series yet.
Please, take it away.
You really got to get into the series before it comes back.
And it's not going to come back for a little bit,
but they are editing episodes.
The first season of Netflix's live action One Piece
shot from January, August 22,
with this season airing exactly a year after it wrapped in August, 23.
The second season is currently in production,
and it wraps in December.
So the hope is that unhampered by pandemic or strike issues, it will be out a little sooner than December 20205.
Speaking with Temple of Geek during San Diego Comic-Con, 2024, the show's editor Eric Littman, offer good news on that front as he says he's editing on the new season.
It's already begun, and they're moving fast and smoothly thus far.
I'm constantly cutting footage.
I'm cutting scenes while they're shooting stuff.
We're always talking about what's being shot.
Fortunately, with One Piece and also Agents of Shield, everything always work.
Everything was great.
footage, especially with One Piece, just next level. So far, casting for the new season has
been confirmed that we're seeing the Lojhtown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, and the Little
Garden arcs with Drum Island and potentially some of Arabasta also expected. Now, I will say this,
even though I have watched Season 1 of One Piece, I didn't understand a damn thing that was
just said that I just said. I didn't understand a word you see. Nope. While there's new additions this year,
like David Dalsmalsh, which is amazing, as Mr. Three, Daniel Lasker as Mr. Nine, Clybe Russell,
as Crocus, Kalam Kerr as Smoker, and Brendan Murray as Broji.
Several key roles remain to be announced, including Crocodile Dr. Korea, and potential
regulars for Nicco Robin, Portagos D. Ace, and the voice of Tony Tony Chopper.
Yeah, this is a, I'm excited for this, John.
I'll tell you because I tell my story about this particular show.
I've told you, I've told you beforehand, where I saw a trailer for it and I said, I don't
know this is going to be for me. I think my, my oldest will like this. She likes anime and everything
too. I don't understand. And I said, I'll do one watch along. If I like it, then I'll keep doing
it, but I don't know. And I loved it. It was one of my most favorite things that I've ever reacted
to. Wow. It's just, it's just a fun time. And I really, and I'll tell you, and I, and I think that's
why there is merit to this where there, there are, whether it's Marvel, Star Wars, DC, whoever
it is like, oh, our fan base isn't that bad. Our fan base isn't that.
bad. We're very, you know, that's just a bad rap that we get from a few select people that we have a bad rap.
Those fan bases are shit.
Like when it comes to like the majority loud people who are in the Lord of the Rings stuff,
they make people feel terrible.
If you like it, dislike it.
And one one piece has a very large audience.
I have never felt more welcomed watching something.
And being, yeah.
Like if I was like, and I thought and I'm so used to like the Game of Thrones or you don't know books,
you stupid asshole you know i was like i was just to all of that i was going to be getting i was so used to it i'm
like here we go i don't know it so what am what am i doing wrong in my life that i don't know who the
guy with the freaking hat is who's that never got it never got it once it was the exact opposite like
so glad you're watching this and part of it i've never been a part i felt like i was actually
part of something with the fan base of one piece is my favorite fan base i've ever
dealt with in this space ever. Oh, nice. So are you,
are you going to watch it? I will at some point finally come around on probably
before season two, you know, like you've done with show gun. You know, I'm going to take my time
and then eventually get to it. Yeah, I mean, you'll have, I mean, look, if you're going to watch
it back to back, then you probably have a, you have time because as is 2025,
in the same way that umbrella academy is coming up, um, the new season in like a couple of days.
And I'll now, I'm pretty caught. I did it. There's only six episodes. I didn't know that. I found
out from from from from David when I was in here it's only six episodes I was like oh poop I was just
watched I just watched 30 of them and it's what a fun show that was I know I like it I thought
third season was a little rough but the first two seasons were fantastic and Kate walsh was so great
as a villain she was first two episodes two seasons yeah the second season with them playing around
in the 60s with yeah all that I like the swings that they took in the third I will tell you that
I think because I do and not even my favorites right now.
My two favorites are five and the little kid and and David.
Those are my those are my two favorites.
I don't I'm not not loving Luther.
He got a little goofy towards.
Yeah.
I think him in his.
Oh God, I got to look up the names because I forget the.
Angela is the character.
She was in she know I like her.
because I didn't like her in B-keeper.
And she was kind of following that.
But she was, I like her in this.
I like her a lot. And I think
Elliot Page is doing a really good job.
Yeah, Ellie Page is doing a really good.
Victor.
But I think that,
what's the,
I'm trying to think who.
Claus is my champ.
Rob, right?
Claus is my number.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Clouse is up.
I forget about class.
Klaus is pretty great.
Yeah, five,
five,
and Klaus and Diego,
probably my three favorites.
Because Klaus,
Klaus,
won me over because at first I thought it was going to be the kind of here we go
I've seen this character a million times over and then
klaus klaus won me over within three episodes the lady outlaw is a big fan of pogo the monkey
of the monkey bogo loves the monkey yeah chimpanzee come on
chimpanzee yeah I don't want them to kill me no no you can't cancel for that um

which I don't know if you saw, Christian, but we
dropped that review today.

sorry hit the wrong button at the end there check out
John's show please he's got a lot of great stuff going on to great shows um you know there
what was I was going to say I was bringing up the other reason why I didn't see Game of Thrones
by the house of the dragon I haven't seen the finale he used to be like where you where's your
immediate reaction I was watching 30 episodes of the umbrella academy so as I didn't have a
like that my choice last night was either watch finale or finish up what I was doing and I's like
I have to I really wanted to talk to this dude so I was like and I don't like going in the
interviews going well I'll talk I mean I told them straight up
up when I was interviewing. I said, if I didn't
like the show, if I wasn't digging the show
itself, then I would have watched a few episodes
known a little bit about your character and just kind of
had a thing and said like, okay,
tell me about this, this, because I'm not going to put myself through
30 episodes in a matter of a week and a half if I don't
like it. But I wanted to find out
where the story went. So I was like,
so I was excited to check that out.
But there's other news that while
we were, while you were talking,
we have something about
John Wick again. This is John
Wick's always in the news somewhere or another
in the movie news story, movie news stories.
And this one, John Wick gets a sequel series, sequel series, the High Table.
The John Wick franchise is coming to TV once again.
And this time, everyone is involved.
What is that?
Lionsgate Television is developing John Wick under the High Table,
which is a new TV series set after the events of the four films in the series,
Wick has left the world of the High Table in a tenuous position.
I'm confused now.
result, a collection of new characters will look to make names for themselves while some franchise
stalwart remain committed to the old world order. The series will combine new and old and thrust
the WIC universe into a new age. The previous attempt at WIC on TV was the Continental, which was a
prequel TV series. None of the talents from the film series were involved, and it was seen as a flop.
Lionsgate isn't making that mistake again. Both Canna Reeves and Chad Selesky are among the executive
producers, while Robert Levine is attached as writer and showrunner.
In addition, Steleski, who has creative oversight of the franchise is also set to direct
the pilot.
Basil Iwanuck and Erica Lee will also executive produce.
The project is currently being shopped around to potential buyers.
I mean, that won't be very long to buy if you have those names involved, but like, all right,
so I'm confused.
So it takes place afterwards.
Yeah.
So again, spoilers for John Wick, three.
four if you haven't seen it.
So for anybody who hasn't
seen John Wick four, bail
out, because I'm going to spoil it for you.
So I'm giving you the opportunity to jump.
Okay, have you jumped? Have you not jumped?
Okay, well, you've been warned.
He's dead.
How's he coming back?
Like, I don't know.
I know, but it's like, you're coming back for TV.
At war.
And the other side of it is, what are they going to do?
They're basically going to say, well, no,
he's producing it.
He'll do some flashback scenes.
And here's the new assassin that we're going to get behind now.
Right.
This is the new assassin.
But that's always richly because you got to like look,
like Jeremy Renner's great,
but people didn't care about him as born in the born movies.
They want a Jason Bourne.
Right.
So it's,
I don't know.
And the other thing is if you watch,
I recently did like a whole rewatch of John Wick.
And I,
and I enjoy,
I enjoy all four of the movies.
But into their own admission,
they get more video gamey as they go on, right?
The first one when you watch it, it's like an old school action movie where you, like, John Wick can get hurt.
You could throw John Wick off of the Empire State Building and he's going to survive.
Yeah.
The fourth one.
So, I mean, maybe that's my answer, my own question is how did he survive because it's John Wynn.
But I don't know.
I think that what, how do they do this and does Canter Reeves, is Canter Reeves going to be in a John Wick TV show?
Yeah, it's a good question.
I think maybe if he's the executive producer, then there's a possibility of him coming back.
And I think what you said earlier is the way to do it is flashbacks
because you would have to put these characters in a flashback with John Wick
so they know John Wick or maybe get the blessing from John Wick
in some retcon kind of way so that we kind of follow them in this series.
But they already did the Continental.
And yes, it's a prequel, but it wasn't that interesting of a show.
And so I just think it doesn't work without Keanu.
I don't think this.
And from what I understand from a couple of my sources,
Ballerina is not getting a positive reaction.
from the end of the armas one.
That's why they keep pushing it
because it's not getting a positive reaction
from the people there at the studio who've seen it.
That's from what I hear.
Well, check out this right here.
M.K. Sommberg says, currently Reeves is attached
as an executive producer with no acting component.
He said to be very hands-on.
Well, so that, I mean, that, thank you for that,
MK.
But I think that what it means, though,
is you've got to then build,
you got to, you can be an executive producer
and he should be.
Yeah.
You've got to find the right person
that people are going to want to support
and finally, oh, yeah, John Wick was cool,
but this guy or this girl, man,
holy crap, they're freaking pretty cool too.
That's going to be a tough mountain to climb.
Yeah, that's the thing.
That's the thing that I think we have to be aware of
because he's so tied to this.
He was the reason people give it a chance.
You've got to find someone on this kind of level
in a TV version that is going to get people
to want to reinvest in the future.
Because I imagine they want this to launch into features.
films because they want to make the most amount of money and that'll be in feature films.
But who has got the personality of Keanu that could really slide in here into this particular
franchise and take it over. I mean, you're essentially asking to do a diehard spin off with
somebody else. You know what I'm saying? And that's, it's just not easy to do when one person is so
attached Indiana Jones, what have you with Harrison Ford. When part of home person is so attached
to a franchise is very, very difficult to spin it off into something else. Yeah, it's true. And you'll,
you know, Lionsgate is knocking on Canteries direct to a fifth one.
That's the other reason why I don't think that they would want him in a TV series because all four of those movies have made gangbusters.
So you don't stop making movies in a franchise until they start doing bad.
Yeah.
And then you're like, well, maybe we'll turn into a TV show now.
But it's, I mean, look, Harry Potter is an example of where all those movies made a lot of money.
Yeah.
And they're like, well, we want to redo the whole thing.
Yeah, we've already read, we've already made the movies.
I don't want to remake the movies.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but wait a minute.
Let's do a series.
And if we do the series, then we can explore parts of the book.
Look at Percy Jackson.
Percy Jackson has explored details of the books that we can't do
because you've got to cut it down.
So that makes sense to me.
Like, I never understood what people are like,
why would you remake Harry Potter?
Because they've never made the books like that before.
Never seen the books that way before.
Like I remember reading those books and being in the theater going,
I like this movie, and I understand why they cut all this stuff,
but I'm really missing that.
I really enjoyed reading that.
You can do that with six to eight episodes in a HBO Mac series, you know?
Yeah, no, 100% agree with you.
Yeah, I'm down with that possibility for sure.
All right, we'll move on to another story here because we've got some more,
and then we're going to take some of your questions.
Okay.
Let's see, John.
We go.
We did John Wick.
All right, let's talk about, let's talk about Scraise.
You read this story?
Yeah, yeah.
So Martin Scorsesey, who he,
did some big-scale films recently. Well, apparently he's done with them.
He says, well, it's not what he says. What we say. Netflix is the Irishman, Apple Studios
Killers of the Flower Moon. Martin Scorsese says he just did two big-scale dramas involving a lot of
extras and various scenes. Well, don't expect to see much more of that, says the filmmaker,
who participated in a Q&A at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, New York,
last night. Scorsese was on hand for a screening of his Powell and Pressburger Doc made in England
and mentioned he's working on a limited series that he wants to fully direct from start to finish,
not just the pilot like he did for Boardwalk Empire and vinyl. Then came the kicker. He apparently
revealed that he doesn't really want to do another big movie with a lot of extras ever again.
Late last year, it was indicated Scorsese was seriously considering co-directing a film adaptation
of David Grant's nonfiction book, The Wager,
which follows the 1741 mutiny
after the shipwreck of the HMS Wager.
That would qualify as a big movie
and a difficult one with a watershed.
He also reportedly added his adaptation
of Marilyn Robinson's novel Home.
It's most likely going to be his next film
after he wraps his currently casting Jesus Christ movie.
John, you hear these comments
by Martin Scraese.
What say you?
guess we're not doing Sinatra i guess we're not doing decaprio is sinatra that that's what occurs to me
right off the bat so maybe that's not happening but look this is an older director obviously and
killers of the flower moon i think he took it on the chin for that one a didn't make that much money and
i get it apple didn't make it to make big money in the box office i should would have liked it if it did
and then it really got shut out of all the awards and there was criticism with some of the some of the
some of the some of the um some of the stuff decaprio did and some of the stuff scorsese did in in
that film. And so, you know,
Lily Gladstone came out of it looking good, but really pretty much
not anybody else came out of that looking good. So
there's a question there. Then the Irishman,
which a lot of us who don't have,
never mind, who don't have short attention spans, enjoy.
It didn't do that well financially, but it did get
some nice nominations. And maybe he's just tired.
Because, I mean, like, you're in the late 70s being on a set.
And I'm sure he's frustrated. Look, the business has changed.
Yeah.
The way people watch me.
movies have changed, the audience has changed,
the people who go to see movies and theaters,
what they're looking for has changed.
And I'm sure for a king of cinema,
that is incredibly,
incredibly frustrating.
Yeah.
I'm sure it is.
I mean, look at the,
the bigwigs of the Coppola's and it's like they,
it's a different time.
And they want to tell these stories.
And that's not what,
and then you get the executive was probably 30,
40 years younger going,
hey, listen.
Why don't you put it on streaming?
And they're like, if you, put this in streaming.
And it's not the wrong play by the executive to say, let's do some of this sometimes because you're going to spend that kind of money.
So that's the other thing is, and look, the other flip side of this is he says he doesn't want to do certain things with the big extras.
That's not to say you can't say, hey, who's my first AD, have them direct the big scene.
That's fair.
I mean, look at what Peter Jackson needs to do with Andy Circus.
You know?
Yeah. But I also think.
it's really healthy when directors who make big
films want to strip it down
and go back. I agree.
Like what Scorsese made his bones with that kind of stuff.
You know, Raging Bull wasn't
a massive budget. Mean Streets wasn't a
massive budget. His other film,
Boxcar, Berder, these other films that he started off with,
he can direct small
films. And so it's very possible
to go back to something small and bring
out and fall back in love with filmmaking
and then work his way back maybe to
doing a bigger film down the road. So
I kind of love this idea. I love what my
Kobe does it, not that I'm comparing to Scorsese, but like, there are certain directors that love to
do big, big productions. If they can scale it down and do it small, I'm always a fan of that,
because then you should really see the talent come through as a director in a smaller scale as well,
you know? Yeah, it's true. I want to, I want to see what, I mean, if you've got to that place
where you're him, and he's like, yeah, I want them to give me all the money to make everything I want
to make. And if he is, and what does it make money? Who cares? I'm going to spend all the money I want
do to make all them to make exactly what I want to make and then it's like you don't need to you
don't need to anymore maybe he realizes I doesn't need to because you mentioned the the sonatra
movie you could still do you could you could still do a raging bull now listen when it comes to what
he's been doing lately and for you to say to you to go well yeah it's probably going to be big
big scale movie because look at all the stuff he's done but then going back to the words that
you just said if he made it like raging bull you know he could do it and you
You have practical effects instead of deaging Decapey.
You'd have to very much grab Sinatra at the age that DeCaprio looks like to make it work.
But even if you're going to deage him, even going to deage him, that's money.
He's not talking about budget.
He's talking about grand scale stuff.
He's still going to use budget.
Because if you're going to, because if you're just doing locations and certainly,
you don't do big performances, I mean, you're going to have to do, I mean, I guess you could essentially do,
you don't have to do extras per se, but if you do like what.
But what they do for the fights, what Rocky did for the fights,
you, you, instead of doing, bringing in all the extras during a fight,
you just take a, you pay the UFC or whoever it was to say, hey, we're going to
come, we're going to film a couple of fights.
You do that for a concert.
You say, hey, but the problem is you got to have everybody in the, in that wardrobe.
Yeah.
Back in the day.
I don't know.
Yes, that's true.
Maybe you're right.
I don't know.
Anyway, what do you guys think, man?
We got a lot here with Corsese with,
oh, the last of us, I guess,
is the last thing we should talk about.
I mean, I don't know.
I'm not going to even show an image for it.
It's just they showed like an HBO Max thing,
I guess, where there was a bunch of different things
that they showed inside of it.
There was like a couple images or something, John, for, for, for, yeah.
Yeah, it was.
I guess a little bit of, they showed a little bit of dairy,
which is the It thing. They showed Game of Thrones spin off House to Dragon aired its season finale tonight on yesterday on HBO.
And it came with nearly two-minute trailer teasing the upcoming program slate for the Premier Cable and cable network in 2024 and 2025.
The first 50 seconds comes from the rest of the year short clips, Penguin, Dune Prophecy, Creature Commandos, Industry, the franchise and Harley Quinn.
The last 50 seconds, however, is where the excitement is with the first footage from multiple series, including new series of the White Lotus,
the Gilded Age and new dramas like the Pit and Duster.
But there's also three big reveals in the clip
with footage from three massive genre shows,
including the first look at the It prequel series,
Welcome to Derry,
and the first footage from the next Game of Thrones spin-off
at Night of the Seven Kingdoms.
Ah, I didn't see that.
Yeah, it's coming up to 5.5, yeah.
Is that? Okay.
And when is that, do you know when that takes place?
I think it's in between the time we're looking at right now.
So I think it's between this and the Dineris time
that we got in Game of Thrones.
I think, if not,
It's a massive prequel like a thousand years before.
That's what they originally were going to do.
Yeah, yeah.
But now after all the history with House of the Dragon, I want to see like it,
and maybe people are going to be done with the Targaryans, but I want to see the Aegon
the Conqueror series.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I guess people have done with it.
I understand that.
It ends with the biggest reveal of all, which is 20 seconds of the first footage from
the second season of The Last of Us, which first goes of Catherine O'Hara, Isabella
Merced, Caitlin Denver, and Jeffrey Wright. There's also some key moments from the second game,
including Abby's escape from the hoard in the snow, a group of seraphites in the pursuit of someone,
and what looks like a glimpse of the intense red light subway sequence with the clickers.
So what did you think of this thing that they should?
Look great. Look fantastic. Love that, again, just like the sequel to the game did,
love that it's expanding the universe. And we're seeing more of these things and bringing them into real-life action.
So I'm really excited about it.
Love that we get a nice shot of Isabella Morset, who was clearly becoming someone.
And clearly after the Alien Romulus film comes out in a few more days,
I think people are going to be talking about Isabella Morset more often for stuff.
So nice to see you're getting a one-two punch in this way for a career.
But then the Catherine Hara thing is going to be really interesting to see how her role plays itself out.
And you bring in someone like Caitlin Dever, who is a fantastic young actress.
It's going to add even more weight to this.
story. I'm just very excited and it looks again like it's recapturing that vibe of the first season.
So good, good 20 to 30 seconds, but you know, you're only going to take so much out of it.
It just gets you, that's a nice taste to get you excited.
I think I'm going to do the same thing I did for the first season where I played the game.
Yeah, in between each week.
So I would, I would catch up to where I was.
I only went, I only went past and got a spoiler for myself.
He only did that once because I was so into the game.
I'm like, I don't care.
I wanted to see where it was going.
So I'll probably do that for season two.
I just wonder if they're going to do everything in the second game.
Because there's so much that I want to talk about that I don't want to spoil for people,
if they don't know it.
Do you know the big things that happen in the game?
I know a couple of them, yes, but not anything that I want to spoil here for sure.
No, no, no, no, nothing that we want to spoil.
But it's where I want to see if they're going to actually do it, do this stuff.
And then there's going to be way more to talk about once the show.
comes to but 2025 is going to be an insane amount of stuff to cover do like I'm yeah
there's some movies and tv it's out of control so anyway um all right guys what do you think
about all of this stuff because the the game of thrones thing apparently from what someone wrote in the
chat it's a hundred years after house of the dragon a hundred years before game of thrones so it is
in between yeah it's in between yeah so that is that's interesting and um the other stuff the dary stuff the
Max has a lot of stuff. So I'm curious what you guys think about. I put your comments in there.
Tell me exactly what you're thinking. Now, I'll tell you what you should be thinking about.
You should be thinking about magic spoon. Oh, man, you're John. I told you how much I love magic spoons.
I love magic spoon. It's one of the things I attribute for allowing me to lose the weight that I did and to eat healthy.
Because it's like, it's, have you, have you, yeah, you said you did see it.
Yeah, I thought we had the Costco, yeah.
Yeah, you've been checking it out.
And I think that people, if you haven't already been checking out, Magic Spoon, you really should because they're, the different flavors that they have, the protein that they have this stuff.
It's just delicious, as they say, in certain parts of the town, John, delicious.
Do you try the chocolate?
You tried the peanut butter?
Yeah, yeah, the, no, the berry one.
The pink one there on the bottom right.
That's the one on the top.
Well, it's really good because a lot of times you do this like, you know, people have, it's sugar.
And a lot of series is sugar and you don't want sugar.
This is.
And a lot of the biggest problem for a lot of people, what they do for for snacks, is they snack on stuff that.
So carbs and all this thing, you don't want to do that.
And especially when I used to do the big bowls of cereal for a snack.
I'll be fine.
This is a great way to just have some protein, be full, eat some, eat some good stuff before you go.
to sleep and I love it. So I have the code in there. It's magic's magic spoon.com slash big thing.
And you go into the description, go and check it out. You won't regret it. Magic spoon.
It is the best. I love them so very much. And then also the other ones that we, now this is
something else. You talk about magic spoon, seeing them in the in the store, right? Yeah, yeah.
I was going. I was getting, what was not the hell is that a freaking thing?
at Cornhole. I was getting cornhole at the, yeah, I was getting it at, um, where was I?

Like, just click on that Liquid Ivy link.
That helps. Go on over there.
Links in the description.
All right. John, we got some questions.
That's some questions for you.
So here's, we're going to go all the way up top.
I'm trying to think about had any,
I always tell you about the good treats.
They were really, I mean, I have to,
I got to stay away as much as I was talking about.
Like, I love Magic's Swoon so much.
I got to stay away from the pizza.
The pizza is just so addicting here.
Really good stuff.
Okay.
Hank Pim, a new United States champion.
LA night. Yeah. Yeah. It's just, you know what it is about him? I think he's just, I understand why people get him. I understand. I understand. It just seems calculated. You know what I mean? It's like, it's like, this one, two, three does that thing. It's like it doesn't, it's like when I, when we were growing, like, it doesn't seem organic. I think that's the thing with him. You love him, right? You think J-Lo is organic. So I don't know if that's a word I would use. But I mean, it's the thing with him. You love him, right? You think J-Lo is organic? I don't know if that's a word I would use. But I mean, it's
as far as her as far as his character goes um he's an amalgamation i know but you know nobody had a problem
well no one remembered that uh hulk hogan stole billy's superstar but he still but he made it his own
he felt he felt like but i felt like during that time when hogan was in the superhero era
of wrestle i felt like holl hogan was holk hogan and different he was like he was a different like
i felt like he was really i don't know i just i don't i don't i just don't buy like yeah when they're on podcast
and they break cave all the time now,
which I think is worth the business tremendously, by the way.
I really think he does.
Dude, I'm so glad you brought this up.
Gunther winning the belt as a heel
and then walking over and kissing his wife
and hugging his best friend on the show
and then standing up on the desk
and putting his crotch in Cole's face.
Which is it?
To me, this is so frustrating.
Stay the heel the whole time.
Kiss your wife in the back.
Logan's all slapping hands as he's coming out.
But that's during the show.
It's up.
I'm talking about even when when they're on,
And I know they promoted now like a TV show.
I know that they do.
And there's no way to change now.
It's like you can't change it now.
But like when, you know, someone's on, even when the undertaker's on and they talk,
the undertaker who was like the biggest protector of the business and wouldn't do interviews until after he was retired.
Right.
But like even he's out there talking about certain things he did.
And they talk about if Goldberg was on Chris Van Bleach show talking about and like all the secrets are out there now.
I think that when when KFAA was protected, there was just something different about it.
I agree. Yeah, but I think that one of the things, though, is that when you, I don't know,
there's just something about LA night that just doesn't, it just doesn't pop the same way.
Simon Sachs, I would rather see Ben Affleck direct a Hulk Hogan movie, physically preparing for the role might make him fall off the wagon.
If not, I certainly would. I mean, I understand that. I mean, but remember, we don't know how he's, now,
John, I think John said it, right.
This is the Terry Belaya.
He's still got to be a big dude.
He's still got to be a big, huge guy.
But he's not in 1985 Hulk Hogan shape.
Right.
He's in, you know, Hogan thinned out tremendously by that time.
Still big dude, but thinned out.
So, yeah, he's still going to have to work out.
But I don't think to the amount of like what Chris Hemsworth was doing for like, you know,
Prime Hogan.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's no 24-inch pythons, I don't think.
No, which, yeah, that, that's, and I think that's what everyone fairly is going to think right away when they say,
Hogan, Ben Affleck playing Hulk Hogan.
Ben Affleck's also 50 years old.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's just like, Ben Affleck's not, is not a spring chicken playing a, a 35-year-old wrestler.
He's playing a, he's playing a retired wrestler.
Yeah, and ironically, around this time is the same age as Affleck.
Hogan is around the same age.
Yeah.
with this profile they're going to do as Affleck is now.
Yeah, it's for me, it's not, it's, again,
it's not a matter of him like not being into physically look like Hogan.
It's more so of the,
can I really look at him and think it's Hogan and not Ben Affleck?
Going to the Santa Monica parade with the, you know,
that Halloween parade that they do.
It shows up with Hogan.
Ewa.
Hey, Christian and John.
What are your things?
thoughts on Josh O'Connor landing the lead role alongside Emily Blunt and Spielberg's UFO movie.
Great. I just, I just am very, I think that it's a very important time for what Spielberg's
actually going to make because I can tell you from the two of us. We're following stories and someone
who's casually just interested in it. John probably thinks, okay, it's going to be a Spielberg UFO
movie like Close Encounters or maybe War of the Worlds and that's probably what you're expecting
to see from him, correct? Yeah, yeah, pretty much. I'm hoping not to see that. I'm hoping not to see that.
I'm hoping to see more so of what they're talking about with disclosure and the things that are having.
I want to see him do like the post, like the story about when he did with the post.
What and how?
Yeah.
And like the stuff of what can he do with all the stuff that's happening in Congress and all the things that are happening there.
That's a story I like to see him tell, but he's probably going to do more so what you're expecting it to do.
Yeah, probably.
But I mean, maybe he did War of World War of Worlds, right?
And that was much more of a vicious alien movie.
so will he explore that point of view?
Like, that's the thing.
What do you have to say about aliens
that you haven't said in your previous numerous movies?
By the way, AI qualifies to a degree.
What are you going to say that you haven't said before?
And he believes in all the stuff that's happening.
He knows he keeps up on the news.
So I think that's why it's for someone who,
if it's someone who's just doing,
like if you were going to direct,
if John Rugg is going to direct an alien movie,
okay, then fine.
John Rugg is direct an alien movie.
It could be about whatever the hell he wants to be.
But if somebody's following the topic,
And as someone is powerful, Spielberg, he can let people know, because imagine in the way they're like,
oh, I didn't, like, based on a true story.
And it's like, oh, the story of the guy who was actually working inside of this program that did this,
this, and this.
Then you're like, oh, well, I don't know what the hell to believe.
You know, I'm going to look at what's true and what's false.
Like, you know what I think of them convince people there's whatever.
That's not the goal.
It's to tell the story of what's actually happening.
And again, as I always mentioned, the fact that the Senate majority leader is out in December using terminology
in front of Congress, like NHI, which is non-human intelligence,
and the mainstream media is not talking about that,
whether you believe it in or not.
It's the fact that what are we doing?
We have the Senate Majority Leader talking about this stuff,
and no one's talking about it.
So like, the Spielberg covered that kind of stuff,
I'd be fascinating.
All right, next one.
This is EWalk.
I also enjoyed the week's episode of the Man Cap Adventures of Island Island.
I don't know the reference because I haven't seen the show.
show yet. So, it's opening 10 minutes of the show. Is it? Is it any good? Yeah, it's funny. It's very funny.
Do you like the episode? I did like the episode. Yeah. I mean, I get, but I was also disappointed
because we didn't get certain things that I, that they were building towards. So that
that frustrated me. But overall, I thought it was a really well acted, directed, and written
episode of television. I think people are just overall disappointed that we didn't get certain
things that people were waiting for all seasons. That's all I'll say.
All right. Pete Parker, 2288. I'm enjoying Batman.
paper. Yeah. But it's definitely on the slower
side. Is this an animated show? Yeah,
it's on Prime. It just dropped on
Friday, 10 episodes. All of them are up there
to watch from Bruce Tim, who came
back, of course, from doing the animated series
back in the 90s. It's great stuff. I see
where they're going for, though, more of a noir detective
show. Have you watched it so far?
Yeah, I'm seven episodes in.
Are you loving it. Okay.
But I'm a 1940s fan. You know, I like the norm.
Yeah. But it's pretty good.
Yeah. Okay.
Pete Parker, 2288. I want to make a bet the Joker
two doesn't pass 750 mil once people realize it's a musical it's going to kill repeat viewings how do you think it
does um i don't know i i i don't know if i'd make that bet double or nothing oh yeah that that one i don't know
if i'd make that bet because because i do i do think that that is potential yeah um for disaster if the
music doesn't work um i just think the trailers will look so damn good and it's coming up a very
successful first movie. I do think it's got a shot to fire past that for sure. But we should say
this, John officially owes me a steak dinner, by the way. And you didn't think I was going to bring
that up. No, I was waiting for you to bring it up. I was probably going to bring it right off the bat.
No, as I was, I was waiting. But we, it, I have, I have blown past my, I said 750, it made 824 million
thus far. Yeah, it's not even a week. It's not even a week.
It doesn't have been a week yet.
Where are all these people who said cinema is dead and no one's going to theaters and no one wants to see movies?
People who got money to spend when they want to spend it.
Well, it's true.
Certain movies.
It depends.
It's as we were mentioning before.
It's a very different time of how people see movies now.
People used to see because it's just so, my brother said it best, there's just so much stuff that you can watch on TV and movie and, you know,
TikTok and all these other things that you can watch video games.
we're growing up man it's like we're going to do this weekend let's go the movies
you'll go to the movies this weekend you don't you're watching stuff on there's like eight
channels yes it's mind blowing yeah yeah yeah it's like it's trying to get all the shit that's out
there now it's like there's too much so yeah i'm not sure but you know what i did find out which is
which was awesome is that david castanetta is a is a big movie guy a big movie fan like he's like
goes and watches movies like every week to go and catch up on stuff and like and but knows his
stuff and like was talking about
Deadpool and and stuff
and he he yeah I don't want to ruin the
whole interview but he talked about Deadpool and Wolverine
for a little bit too it was like
yeah I was very impressed with his knowledge on movies
he's um I like that too
I like that tough um okay
next one Connor Dorian
did you guys see in the coming to Maxa
shows TV shows coming to streaming service Max and Cable
oh never for this year next year yes yes so we
I guess he put that in it before he covered it but um
yeah we we definitely wrote
they they they they hm max is still the king they really are they're still
the first quality stuff because apple's getting close apples getting close oh yeah yeah
mad sinister mccall per beth snider blade four irs vampires also blumhouses off the hinges
a door that turns evil after being slammed too hard by an arguing couple that makes sense
that blumhouse would make that yes mad sinister coming in with his slimmer every episode
with joel edgerton yes sir stephan's burnt asshole oh this is a new one
I wonder if it's the same IP as Darth Vader's burnt asshole or just or someone who was inspired by.
What are the odds that soul is an ancestor of Finn?
May, Ray, Ray, May, Ray.
I did feel, I did get those screaming.
Did you see the, there was the, what was it, the, the, um, the pit, those pitch meetings, you know, the ones the screen ran to?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, every once in a while.
He did one for acolyte.
It's hilarious.
It's really, it's so accurate.
It's so accurate.
The guy's face like, well, why are we going to do that?
No, because.
Okay.
So accurate.
That one was really good.
Be careful.
You're going to get unfollowed by somebody if you do that.
If you say they make it,
an accolite.
Uh-oh.
Kenneth Colton,
House of the Dragon finale felt like a 70-minute trailer for season three.
Now I have to wait two years until 2026.
It should have given us a taste of the war.
I guess I know what didn't happen.
Side note.
Alien Romulus in 10 days.
Yeah, are you going to see, do you go into the screening that one?
Yeah, screening is, I think mine's next week.
Yeah, you probably didn't.
Oh, the same time?
Yeah, same.
The only thing I'm seeing this week is the Christopher Reeve documentary.
Hmm.
I want to see that on 30.
I'm not even showing that here.
I'm going to see that on Thursday.
Damn.
Okay.
So, let's see.
Next one is, we did that one.
Well, thank you, by the way, Kenneth.
But I, I, well, saying what he's saying as far as I want to address his house to the dragon.
Yeah, I mean, I can't speak on it, but I guess I'm assuming that's what John
was referencing.
Yes.
But I think that it is a bummer that we do have to wait another two years before the new
seasons.
I'm only doing four seasons now, not five is what.
Yeah, four they announced today.
Only four.
They're cutting it off at four.
They're going to start production in 2020, early in 2025.
So I say that's good, though, that they're only doing four because don't, don't,
don't push it.
Do four.
Tell the story that you want to tell you.
Tell them great stories.
And then,
and then you move on over.
I really do hope that they keep the, the Game of Thrones theme song for every
series that they do.
Every series that they do and maybe maybe one day someone will call Lucasfilm and say,
don't forget your music.
Carlton Rudder, London calling.
What's up, Carlton?
What are your predictions for Alien Romulus?
Opening weekend and overall gross.
I will say 75 opening weekend.
No way.
Global weekend.
Global weekend, 75.
Global week.
That's more.
I can have 4165 million gross.
I don't know if it's going to make that much overall.
I think opening weekend here
it's probably I think 75 is a fair
is a fair number I think it'll be around 35
here yeah yeah maybe 35 here and then it'll probably do
depending on which markets it's opening to so
yeah I don't know 75 might be tough but I mean maybe 60
maybe 60 opening global opening weekend with a
I don't think I think 350 maybe for
for worldwide for growth
If it breaks 250, I'd be surprised.
For the old gross?
There's no stars in it.
There's no stars in it.
They're up-and-comers, but there are no stars.
Yeah, but James Cameron is not involved in any way, shape,
or form in this one.
It's really out, Perez.
Yeah.
It's Kaylee Spaney and it's Isabella Merced.
And so I think if they break two to 250, that's a success, honestly.
Well, so here's why this movie will be a success,
because it only costs $40 million to me.
Yeah, see?
There you go.
Smart.
And you're building off an IP that is and 40 million without marketing obviously, but still.
Yeah.
So Chris Greiner, Hotel Ner.
What a hotel,
anyone else realized that Deadpool and Wolverine makes Blade the first canonical MCU film?
It's true.
Yes.
Yeah, it's true.
Absolutely.
Yes.
And he follows it up.
Ryan Reynolds is pushing for Channing Tatum-led Gambit film now that he posted a big post on it on X.
this will go right into
this will go right into my
what I was just saying about
alien fine
do it but do it for 70 million dollars
do you remember how much a gamut movie was going to be
yeah
150 or 200 200
I remember Schnep losing his
fucking mind about that you got
200 million dollars
for that movie and that's why it never happened
it was too much money for what they were trying to do
and that was at the time when people were overspending on everything
you can't overspend on that
that movie, even though what they can't do is, well, this is related to Deadpool and
Worry. This is, this is one of the biggest movies of all time. Everyone, that whole audience is
going to, don't assume that that audience is going to go anywhere except to Deadpool 4. Yeah. That's it. So
do you, do you think that that'll, do you think it should happen and do you think it will happen?
I appreciate Ryan pushing for this. And if you're pushing so hard for it, Ryan put your own money into it,
produce it, make it happen. But like, you turn him into a bit of a clown in the movie. So,
To me, I don't know if I'd want, I mean, the, the, the, the, the, you compare what Channing Tatum did.
By the way, Deadpool making fun of him through the whole movie until the fight, uh, to what you saw
in X-Men 97.
That's Gambit.
That's Gambit.
And what you got with Channing Tatum was a characterization made for jokes in a funny movie.
So you say to me, I want to see Channing Tatum do this.
Well, is what he did in the movie, what you're going to get?
Because if it is, I don't want to see a two-hour movie of that.
I'd rather see a.
to our movie of the of the gambit we got an x-men 97 that is much more comics accurate than what you saw
with channing tatem's version of gambit in deadpool and wolvering that's my own personal point i'm i'm
i'm with you um it's like i thought it was hilarious yeah it was super funny i thought it's one of the
best parts of the whole movie um let's let's let's get somebody else let's let's get let's turn the
let's start casting the new x-men now let's start casting the new x-men start casting new let's
Remember, no one knew who Hugh Jackman was before Wolverine.
Yeah, true.
And that was even before Wolverine, like, Wolverine was a known character in comic books and people
kind of knew it.
But he wasn't like the kind of big cinematic icon that he is now because of all the movies
and stuff.
And that was also obviously because of the great job that Hugh Jackman did.
But so many of these characters, the actors, they're building their names on these characters.
And the X-Men have such a big powerful name now with IP.
You don't need.
and save yourself money.
You don't need big actors in these roles.
Give new actors.
And this is one of the reasons why I'm kind of,
I was more on the fence of like,
I wish they didn't go that way with the downy side of it,
because you could have given somebody an opportunity there that could have,
and not even necessarily an unknown,
but somebody who just needed that bigger movie to do it.
And like,
I don't want,
Chan Cana doesn't need a gambit movie.
I mean,
you can make money on it,
sure,
and they do it fine,
but you got to focus on the X one right now.
And Blade is was the only one that wasn't played for jokes.
Yeah.
So let that,
let that sink it.
Yeah,
it's true.
All right,
Simon section.
Guys,
I haven't seen your review of trap by the look of
YouTube's thumbnails.
It doesn't look good.
I hope the twist isn't similar to identity.
They didn't screen this movie.
No,
they didn't screen it.
They didn't screen it.
It was because of the twist.
Maybe,
but apparently not.
I tried to get into screening,
but they said,
we're not screening this movie for critics right now.
And,
and so people,
And this will go back to those people who thought I wasn't.
What was that the Jim Caviesel movie that made all the money?
Which one?
The recent one that everyone was given people.
Oh, Sound of Freedom.
Right.
So I never got a screening for that one.
So I didn't go.
And so we go, you don't want to see it?
It was like, no, if I don't get a screening for the movies, I can't go.
It is hard for me to do anything on the weekends.
I can't do anything on the weekends because I'm with my family.
I do nothing.
I have like my work week.
When I go to a screening, I'm able to do it.
right so i didn't get a screening for trapped i hope that i'll be able to see it but i probably won't
probably won't see it now so unless you know unless i do want to start doing more movie reactions
and so when it comes out on probably within a month i'll probably be out on on streaming
maybe i'll do a reaction to it there but but yeah i just i didn't get a chance to do a screening
screener of it unfortunately that's how my my schedule works these days artem shakurama
on house of the dragon decided to go full disney plus star wars with the episode eight ending i don't know
enough about it here's what i'll tell you that's not going to spoil the show yeah it was
w b's decision to cut it to eight the writers came out and said i think sarah has came out and said
it was not our decision so the people involved with house of the dragon wanted a 10 episode series
it was warner brothers who told them they could only do an eight episode why i guess the cut and
cost. Zazlov wants to cut costs all over the
place. By the way, that show?
Yeah, even for that show. I was
at Comic Con, right? I had a lot
of conversations with industry people about
Zazov who have had personal interactions
with that guy. And I'm
telling you, no matter what
PR spin they put out about this dude,
this dude does not know, does
not care about creatives or care
about the movies. Like some of the stuff I heard
from people who've interacted with this guy is
just like depressing. Utterly fucking
depressing. So I'm not
surprised that he cut this thing down to eight instead of ten stupid yeah uh mike joy season two
house of the dragon was pretty slow the next two seasons feel rushed or they skip some cool stuff
that happens how would you feel this is going to be more of a john story john answer because i just
haven't seen the last episode so i can't speak on whether or not i thought it was fine but it worked
out good it's a good lead up to three or four he said no you know i'm gonna be honest i was a little
bummed but i don't know john how do you feel you i love i thought it was a great season and i had
I enjoy the conversations.
I enjoy the tension and the drama and the back and forth and the changes,
character development, all of that.
So if you mean slow in terms of I didn't get pew,
pew, pew, pew, great.
But like to me, I loved the buildup of the characters.
Yes, was I disappointed that we didn't get more in the finale?
Sure.
But overall, people should not be bashed this season of TV.
It was excellently written.
Yeah.
All right.
Armato, same question.
Do you all think Trapp was a win for Shamla?
I think the film felt a bit rushed, in my opinion.
Well, we haven't seen it, but I will say, like, if you look at the box office,
trapped, it was not trapped, it's trap, right?
Trapped.
Trapped did, is it 20 million worldwide, right?
So what was the budget for that movie?
Let's see, trap budget.
It is 30 million.
So it'll make its money.
It'll make his money.
Yeah.
Is it a big?
Are not good.
Are they really what's what's it at right now on rotten tomatoes and with a 64% audience score.
So there's not that much difference between those two.
I almost I almost want to call Bibiani.
I swear.
I love him to death, but it's like it's like there is a contrarian image.
Is there not?
Oh, of course there is.
Him and Winnie, which by the way, they are as much as you may argue their contrarians.
They do a really good job of defending their point of view.
Oh, brilliant.
if you don't agree with anything they're saying he's a very he's a very brilliant critic yes
i always said that about pivion i agree with him zero like two percent of the time but but he like
as he was so scathing on deadpole wolverine i think his tweet was and don't quote me right but this is
like the best chamelon movie he's done in like years right and and and i might very well see this
movie and feel the same way but i just see everyone else posting the the opposite it's always
seems like there's always one voice
out there saying the other thing and it's usually
him. I don't
know. I'm not, but I will probably, I also
want to say it, it's not that when I
say it, it's not that I feel like he's
saying it because he doesn't believe it and it wants to be
because like, oh, yeah, no, no.
Who's that, who's that?
Armand, whatever his name is,
what's the, Armand White, is that, is that his name?
Who's that? It's like, there's like
a critic who just does it.
Like, if there's 100% on Rotten Tomato.
Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But he puts his negative
Yeah, he puts his negative review out there just to do it, right?
I don't think that's, I don't believe Bibiani does that at all.
He does that.
I think he's 100% believes what he's saying, but he just always is the opposite.
Yeah.
I don't know.
But I think it's surprising.
Look at long legs.
That has, that's an 80 million right now worldwide.
That's a horror movie made for like $10, 5 to $10 million.
Here comes Shambla, a much bigger name in horror with Josh Hartnick coming out of Oppenheimer.
Yes, he nepo babies his daughter into that movie.
but like you've got a situation here where it's it's one of the biggest names in horror and
and meshemla and he only makes this much and he might not even come close to what long legs
makes and that tells you something like that tells me something that the word about it is
probably not good yeah um okay well let's get to the next one here okay pierre what's up here
uh pierre jody do you think that marvel will take a page out of the star wars playbook and have
Robert Dany Jr.'s Doom be redeemed at the end of Secret Wars.
I mean, I hope not.
Maybe because it's downy, they might.
I hope not.
It does seem to be more of a Star Wars thing.
Marvel doesn't seem to do that that much.
And I think that it would be against what Doom is all about, right?
I mean, does he ever go good in the comics?
He does.
There is a run where he, and it's ironically with Iron Man,
where Iron Man goes into a coma and Dr. Doom takes over for him,
trying to do good.
And when Iron Man comes out of the coma,
he doesn't really believe him initially for a while until he eventually accepts what doom does,
but then Doom gets his face messed up all over again, so it changes him.
So there is there, I have been moments, but dude, if you introduce him and then redeem him,
you might as well have just made him Tony Stark.
Yeah, because I'm getting so tired of the redemption art.
Like every single, I mean, you can just predict it coming a mile away with every Star Wars thing
that they do.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
Chris Grinner, Christian, watch the storms tonight.
flow had a tornado already and we got some trying to spin in north central pier right now yeah the
rain's been a little heavy here right now but it's it's it's so funny because my poor dog
we got my dog in in california right he doesn't know he doesn't know he doesn't know storms so he's
when this heavy thunder and and lightning and stuff's coming out he's losing his mind he's barking
like a lunatic um what you're looking at somebody said that we announced the twist in here
there's a twist in every chamelan movie what the we announced a twist yeah someone said
There's the BAM 86.
He's like, why would you announce the twist?
There's a twist in every Shyamalan movie.
You don't even see the movie.
How do we announce the movie?
Yeah.
We just think he's.
He must be watching the wrong show.
Okay.
Evil John Madden.
When are you finally doing a show with Sarah?
When it finally happens,
got to have Roka with his views debating Sarah on the same show,
talking about entertainment.
All that two bits.
I would 100% do that.
I would 100% have the, because,
because Matt,
Matt's not a hateful person.
And you're not,
you're not a hateful person and like he'd be and he's not he's not one of these people that just
like says things to be to be you know to get clicks on a video he's like he's got his thoughts on
and he'll also pretty fearless and so are you so i would love to have that the answer to that
question is very soon matt was in the studio uh three days ago we were testing out shots and
and then we're going to do um his channel is we're going to start putting stuff on his channel
really soon so uh yeah i'd love that road well matt will probably be in the room
so we can have John kind of pumping from San Diego.
So you'd be up for that, right?
You tag teaming?
Well, we'll have conversations.
Yeah.
All right.
Oh, we did that one right here.
Okay.
So let's see.
Next one.
Because the funny thing, you didn't like the accolite.
Yeah, in the end, I did not enjoy the accolite, yes.
Yeah.
Even though it cost me a pretty prominent follower, I didn't.
You were not going to let that up.
Oh, no.
I'm not going to say it, but yeah,
it's hilarious.
All right, Hank Pimp, I was in person for SummerSlam.
It was an electric show worth every cent to be by the entrance way.
That's right.
Remember Hank told us he was going, so that's so cool.
Cleveland's still garbage, but SummerSlam was amazing.
But yeah, I'm glad you had a good time.
It looked like a really fun show.
What a fun show, though, that must have been to attend, I'm sure.
I'm sure, right?
Yeah.
Rowan and Unchained.
Hello, gents.
The Last of Us Two footage is amazing.
I'm pumped to see it, man.
Yeah, 2025 is just not going to stop putting out the hits there.
Keep the questions coming.
We were answering them.
Armada, did you all see the Rebel Moon's director Scott?
I heard it was even worse than the other ones.
Is that true?
John, do you see?
I haven't seen them, but they're getting, they got higher positive reviews,
but tomatoes, but positive, meaning they went from 14% to 40%.
So not, still not good, but better.
So, yeah, fine.
That's a big jump.
Yeah.
Pete Parker, who would you cast this bubble of love sponge?
Yeah.
Shane Gillis.
I'm going to play him, right?
Sure.
You don't think that would be good.
I kind of like that idea, Shane Gillis.
I think that would work, actually.
You could play him.
Yeah.
Let's see.
Screwface, John, what's up, Screwface?
The pick Hogan took with the dude with the tattoo is okay.
I'm more upset what Hogan said about black people on the phone to his
daughter and how he had been caught lying about his career not a fan of that man i'll love you all by the yeah i mean
that's that's a big one he on hundred percent in end wasn't it also in it's also in that tape that they're
going to be covering yeah it is right it's in the gawker stuff oh yeah absolutely that's an applegic is going to
say the end word on screen if they do it it's absolutely well they'll probably beep them they'll probably
beep them i don't i doubt it it it's an r rated movie you will absolutely no but i mean you can still do it where
you show if you're showing them watching it something like showing like the footage and watching it
back and they're beeping it through you can do it in a way that he doesn't actually have to say it because
you look at like you know with fast bender fast pender was in 12 years of slave and had and how
fortunately like just it just took him like he couldn't he felt like the most he had to go
through that and say all everything that he was saying and that and i was such a horrible
despicable person that he played and he just said he apparently he couldn't recover from it from
from having to say it. So if you don't, if you can, and you can beep him in 12 years of
slave. You could beep. If you could beep him, then you should beep him and not have him to say it.
Yeah. But, but yeah, but yeah, of course. I mean, I agree with, uh, with what screwface is saying.
Yeah. It's like, because here's the difference with as we, as we said, like when he's taking a
picture with the guy with the tattoo, I can bring up and say, well, it's possible. Yeah.
That you know the guy had a tattoo. There's nothing I can say about the other things.
You chose to say the word, man.
And because you didn't know that there were cameras on you.
And who knows how many times you said it, you know, in private.
So, oh, yeah.
You know, 100%.
All right, Bill Gaffney.
To me, one piece is a great live action adaptation.
I agree.
I love the anime and fans of it always and welcome newcomers without any judgment ever.
And I felt them.
I totally felt that.
Maybe I will walk into it.
Maybe.
I'm telling you.
I mean, yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, you should try to do reactions to him.
Travis Nickerson, I think that Glenn Powell would be a good choice for booster gold.
He has the charm to pull it off.
A lot of people say that.
A lot of people talk about him.
The question is he going to be overused at that point?
Well, you would think so, but it's not going to happen.
Jolo Madagena said it in an interview last week that Kumel and Johnny is playing booster gold.
Is that a definite?
They have an official announcement, but he said it.
So he's in it.
Here's why I don't like the cast.
He's why I don't like the casting.
It has nothing to do with race.
There's nothing to do with it.
Just like Glenn Powell, he's like, he's everywhere.
Yeah.
He's in every role.
It's like, who do we need?
Let's get, let's get him.
He's in every, he's in every movie.
He's in playing in any place.
I think he's funny, but he plays the same character in everything he's in.
I agree.
And I agree with you 100%.
Nothing to do with race.
It's about the talent.
It's about the style of acting.
The style of ice for gold is a completely different person.
I think it's a bad talent.
Commandman John.
Yeah.
And it has nothing to do.
Like,
it's,
if,
if it was,
if he was cast 10 years ago.
Yeah.
Great casting.
Because I know you could pull up.
It'd be the first time I'd see him and doing something like this.
Yeah.
I've seen him do this a hundred times.
Yeah.
Even in the Turtles,
it was the same thing.
He did it in the,
he did it in the,
he did it in the Turtles.
He does it.
And any,
any movie that he's in,
he does the same thing.
It's,
it's,
it's just,
there's not a lot of character.
Like,
he's always playing himself.
Really.
Yeah.
Artem Shackaraman. Deadpool and Wolverine revived Marvel a little. What can Star Wars do to have the same effect? Will Mando and Grogu be the Deadpool and Wolverine of Star Wars? I mean, Mandalorian season one and season two did that and then they decided they didn't want to carry that momentum. So it's like, you know, maybe. I feel like, I think, John, we spoke about this. I think that Mandalorian and Grogu will be the first movie that, that, you know, the first movie that, that, you know, and maybe. I feel like, I think John, we spoke about this. I think that, that Mandalorian and Grogo will be the first movie that, the first movie that,
feels like the original trilogy.
I think it'll be the first movie that's going to feel,
the feel and tone,
unless they go super volume with it,
which you might.
But I think that,
I think it's going to be the first movie
that feels like that tone and shot
like the original trilogy,
but I could be wrong.
Yeah.
No, listen,
you're asking for something that can't happen, right?
You're saying,
I want,
what can Star Wars do?
They already did it in Andor,
and they couldn't repeat it.
So when you're looking at the people
who are in charge of Star Wars,
wishing that they're going to be able to figure out
and put it all together to make a consistent run,
it's not going to happen.
Because they've shown you already over multiple shows
what their points of view are towards Star Wars.
So, you know, what you see is what you're going to get.
So there's nothing that's going to turn it around and redeem it.
Even if Andor season two isn't going to redeem Star Wars fully.
No, but it'll get people, hopefully get people talking.
And what I hope Android does,
because Andor came out at a time and no one was expecting it.
No one wanted it.
And it is arguably the best written thing since Empire Strikes Back, right?
Yeah, agreed.
It was Star Wars.
And since then, they've just had thud after thud after thud of dutting thuds.
And the question is, will they, if they hit this time with Andor's season two,
they've got way more juice to, so somebody should say,
I know I've only been here two weeks
but what I've noticed is that
Andrew season one and the ender season two
critically seemed to get a lot of love
and the fan base
isn't like trying to tear each other apart
over it. Should we do more stuff like this?
But they won't.
But we'll see.
I don't know.
We put my cowboy hat on. No, I don't think this is the way to go.
And I love, I know, that's my favorite response
for people.
No, he likes it.
Mike Joyce saw footloose four the oh so footloose four I was like there's a fourth one
for the first time recently I loved it yeah it's great especially the never the never
warehouse dance yeah what's your favorite scene in a movie that's random unnecessary
I don't know if that scenes unnecessary that that no you need aren't seen yeah I don't think
that barn scene is unnecessary at all I think it's a perfect way to end the movie well no
the barn scene doesn't end it the barn is he he's taught
he's talking about the scene when Kevin Bacon does that that that single dance scene by himself.
Oh,
not the prom thing.
Oh, my bad,
my bad.
Because he's,
because he's,
because he's pent up.
Yeah.
And he's,
and he can't do it anywhere.
So he goes and he goes to that barn.
He shows it and it's like,
you know,
it's an 80s dance.
But yeah,
that particular,
I know it's not the question,
but that I don't think that's an unnecessary scene.
I don't either.
And Mike,
before there was social media that you could go crazy on all the time,
because I see you on there going crazy all the time,
people went to Barnes and unleashed.
That's what you did with all your frustration.
And so, yeah, that's what, it's not an unnecessary scene.
They went to Barnes?
They went to Barnes and danced.
That's how we did it back in the 80s, for God's sakes.
In the 80s, the 1880s, I guess.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know about an unnecessary scene.
It's always hard for me to come up with those on the spot.
The last seven minutes of Horizon, that's an unnecessary scene.
Yeah.
Okay, let's see.
Next one.
Matt Sinister McCollum.
Mama Maria is the goat, a female wrestling.
I mean, I don't know if she's the goat, but she's, I mean, she's too young of a career,
but she is definitely, she is definitely a mega star.
She's a megastar.
She, she oozes charisma.
She is, she understands how wrestling works.
She understands all that.
She's, she's a megastar.
So I can't, you can't call her that yet because she just says too young of a career.
I, I would say it's, it's Ria and Tony Storm right now, who are the one to, right now, it's
greatest female professional wrestlers right now when you look at matches and you look at promos
the other one uh tony storm over an a w she's incredible it's timeless you give an a w some props
well yeah i mean there's two or three really good people there and then the rest not so much what you
can remember the shame mac man stuff of a i think that's all just for him to renegotiate a
contract at w pw e okay um all right justin fountain i love deadpool wolverine but i still feel like
marvel's not out of the woods just yet no of course not they still have to show that marvel
can shake up the nonsense of phase,
in my opinion, like the show.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, they have to, well,
Captain America needs to hit.
If Captain America hits and Captain America hits well,
then they're going to be in good shape.
If they don't, they're starting from scratch again.
So, and I know that they've essentially shot two movies.
Captain America is going to be a loss,
but it's not a, they're not trying to get money here,
like to, you know, I mean, obviously they're trying to get money,
but the goal is not to make a huge profit on this because they can't.
I mean, the movie's going to overall cost like $400 million.
They're already going to make a lot of it back with Deadpool and Wolverine anyway.
They have to make a quality movie to say, oh, okay, we know what we're doing again.
Yeah, they reshot it like, what, four times?
Yeah, something like that.
So are you hearing anything new from the reissues?
I know that originally you guys heard that it was just a disaster.
Yeah.
Now, since it's a brand new movie, anything new on it?
Not really.
I mean, just the what you, the footage they showed at Comic-Gon, from what I understand,
that's the stuff that they reshot, which is a lot of the Red Hulk stuff.
Because remember, Red Hulk was going to be a bigger part of Thunderbolts.
And they moved him off of that to put him into this movie.
I think they felt that Captain America for without the Red Hulk being a big part was not working.
So they're like, well, we got to get butts in seats, Harrison Ford, bring him in, make him the Red Hulk.
Let's see more of the Red Hulk.
Let's see how we can weave that into the overall story.
And I think that's what they did here.
And so hopefully, you know, it's something that really works out and it's a good movie by the end.
But yeah, we will see.
I haven't heard much else besides that.
Yeah.
So, all right, well, that's, that is coming out in February.
So that is very, very crucial.
And then it will be Thunderbolts and then Fantastic Four.
Because if they can go, Deadpool Wolverine hit, Captain America hit, Thunderbolts hit, and then Fantastic Four, people are going to be singing the Marvel song again.
Because then that leads into a event.
is why they're smart not talking about blade right now and not until they get it right
retooling Deadpool or dead daredevil rather um so take your time take your time build back up
it looks like that's what they're trying to do yeah uh Gabe olivera uh Ephron was hospitalized
yesterday from pool situation oh Zach Efron was he what happened yeah so he was in Spain
tweeted about this and apparently he was found by two of the hotel workers after a
minor swimming accident and he was taken to the hospital and then released shortly after.
But if workers got to find you, I don't know if it's an accident.
I've been around Hollywood long enough to know what that means from publicists.
In my opinion, it was probably either drug induced or alcohol induced and then or a possible suicide attempt.
I don't know.
So to me also remember, remember that he, I mean, we got to be careful and we don't know.
That's my speculation.
No way am I saying this happened.
Yeah, yeah, it could have been something, you know,
where he got exhausted and fell asleep.
And it's also one of the things where, you know, his,
we talked about that movie, the, yeah, the shape that he was in.
Then he, and he had to come down,
because he did that movie afterwards with Nicole Kidman and Joey King,
the one for Netflix.
Oh, yeah.
He's so big.
It was funny because my wife was watching it and she's like,
oh, he's yoked in this.
I was like, he's a fraction of what he was.
that in that movie and your body your body is like you know it look at it having christian bail
when you're shrinking doing all that who knows what what what what kind of toll it takes in your body
from going that big that small that quick he's talked about it that it's really messed up his body
messed him up yeah yeah what he's had to prepare for this stuff you know who knows and he's because
he's not 20 years old anymore yeah that didn't want to achieve respectability
I think he just slimed down and do these like throwaway comedies and make his money for the
rest of his life. But Zach wants
more. And I respect it. It's just
clearly he should have been doing what he's doing
now 10 years ago. Yeah, agreed.
His agent, whoever was
at the time was kept putting him in
this shit. And he's a good
actor. He's really good.
Patinson did that. Yeah.
Twilight, I'm going right to do it.
Yeah, he had a great team. Rover and all these things.
He had because his team needed to
shake that image away.
And they did it.
You need to finish the boy's new season. I need to
start the boys new season.
Loudermilk, I recommend. What's that? Which one's
Lattermilk? I don't know. Lattermilk. I don't know. I'm not sure,
but, but, uh, boys, did you wind up liking the boys? Yeah, I like the season. It was a little
on the nose with some of the commentary, which I think was a problem. But by the end,
I'm, I'm looking forward to season five to finish it all.
Travis is back. I think they should do the origin of Lawrence Fishprin's character and his rise
to power and how we end up owing John Wick. Yeah, could be interesting, but I mean,
but they're not doing a prequel, though.
they're doing a it's doing it's a it's a post so wouldn't be able to do that but maybe chris grineer again so
apparently logan was to beat l a night but logan's tweets made w w put a title on night is that true
oh i wouldn't doubt it for a second wait what happened what happened you didn't see logan paul's tweets
no oh my god he went off on that olympic boxer very strong transphobic tweets deleted them and then
put up a stupid apology we was like oopsies guess i said the wrong thing and
misinformation. It's like he didn't even take responsibility for being an idiot.
And it brought up all his old stuff where he said racist stuff in the past,
done racist things.
Social media.
Yeah.
I think that everybody's like,
you know what social media.
It can just,
so he also,
he was supposed to win.
And well,
I'm not surprised.
I'm not surprised either because it was in his freaking hometown.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But everybody's like,
you got drop the bell kid.
You got to drop the bell.
Is it like a punishment?
Yep.
That was absolutely his punishment.
Those tweets.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, that makes...
It pans.
It makes sense.
It tracks.
It tracks.
Bill Gaffney.
Maybe Bill and Ted will time travel to take over the high table.
Maybe Bill and Ted.
You know about this Bill and Ted are going to be on Broadway,
doing waiting for Godot.
They're reuniting to do it.
Not doing a Bill and Ted.
No, no, no.
I mean, to play.
I would go, because I was literally going to go, Sarah,
we've got to end the streams, we're going to buy tickets.
That's hilarious.
I didn't like that. Did you like the last one?
The last Bill and Ted? No, I didn't. It's not that. I think people who liked it were leading on nostalgia.
Yeah, there were moments that I enjoyed, but it was, they couldn't capture what I.
Chris Koss, and I, even though I think Robert Denny Jr. will do greatest to him. I wish they picked another actor. Same. I think, Nikolai, Costa Waldo would have been a great choice for doom. He would have been interesting choice. You would have been interesting. Yeah, for sure. I think that, you know, the way Hollywood works, they were like, maybe it would be.
during the Game of Thrones
we would have cast them, but now I don't talk about them
anymore. That's how it works.
Unfortunately, I think it's stupid.
So a great thing that there's
there's a lot of talk about
I think it was Vince Vaughn
was on hot ones or whatever.
Oh, okay. And he's talking about how
it works in the studio now
when it comes to certain things.
It's just like how it's so true
where they ask, well, what's the IP?
And he said, well, John Hughes
didn't have an IP. He had a girl turned 16.
It's like or or a kid high school are taken off from from school.
It's like it doesn't work that way anymore.
You know, it just doesn't.
And it was there.
It was like that.
It was like that when I was there for Warner Brothers where the executives are scared to lose their jobs.
So they go with the easy route.
They don't want to take risks.
It's the one.
And ironically, it's the people who take risks that are the most successful.
Yeah, you got to take the right risks.
And that's what's always, that's what always separates the great ones from,
from the not great ones.
Yeah.
And I think Vince is a little bit like,
first of all,
that trailer for his new show looks terrible.
But Vince is a little bit like
looking at revisionist history
because it wasn't like John Hughes walked in.
I was like,
I want to do 16 candles.
All right,
here's all the money.
No,
he had to pick them too.
He had to convince them too
because they're like,
nobody wants to see come of age movies.
Those movies never made money in Hollywood.
Right, right.
But he was able to get him greenlit
because he was trying.
Yeah.
For sure.
But I also think that,
but there was,
something back in from the 80s 90s and even in 2000 where you could do movies with premises
more show than more so just the IP and like that's that's all they try to do now like he i think he brought
it like battleship you know they made battle it was a terrible terrible movie and ellis and i went to
premiere that stupid thing husker for life 109 house to the dragon finale was a little disappointing i was
expecting a big battle for his end it seems like that's what most people are saying and it seems like i
probably won't be as disappointed now
to when I go into watch her.
Probably not. Yeah. Okay.
BJ Coakinson, football season coming up.
What's your SB matchup? What's, what's SB?
Super Bowl. Oh, there you go. Perfect. So they'll show you how much I'm tuned in right now.
I would tell you that I am not, it's the same thing where I was just like yesterday.
I had to tune in and find out the Yankees. I knew the Yankees really a half game out.
Yeah. Because they won yesterday. So I had to find out like what's going on with them
Baltimore, but it's like catching up on stuff.
I don't know.
I always say, get the Giants to the Super Bowl.
So get them to the Super Bowl.
Did you watch?
Have you been watching the Hard Docs for the Giants?
It's been good?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, is it really good?
I got a, are you turning into a Giants fan now?
Oh, I hate the Giants.
But like, I love watching Hard Knox and seeing the machinations behind the scenes.
The Sequel and Barclay shit is working on.
It is something I was planning on checking out, but I don't have a Super Bowl prediction yet,
John, do you?
Yeah, I would say, I think.
49ers are going to come back again, getting the Super Bowl.
If the Packers don't stop him with Jordan Love, and I think they take on the Texans.
I think C.J. Stroud makes that leap, and they overcome the Chiefs.
All right.
Travis, again.
Hey, thank you, Travis.
Do you think we'll ever get another Blue Beetle movie left off on a little bit of a cliffhanger with the transmission of credits to enjoy the film?
I don't think we're going to get a Blue Beetle movie, but I think we'll get Sholo as Blue Beetle in the movie.
I agree.
Hank Pimp.
Do you think we get old bloodline?
Roman Uso's Sammy versus new bloodline for a Survivor Series in November.
Also would love to get Heel Orton back versus Cody.
What do you think about that one, John?
Yeah, absolutely.
I think Roman Uso's and Sammy makes all the sense in the world.
But Sammy lost the title to Broner breaker over the weekend.
Which should have happened.
Yeah.
And it makes sense for him to come back to be part of the bloodline thing.
Be on Roman side, be on Jay's side.
That'll be fun to see for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You give Sammy.
Sammy doesn't, that's someone who doesn't need a title right now.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He had his moment where he could have given him the actual title if you wanted to give him that rain.
He wasn't going to be the guy to beat Raines, but he could have done it at that time that, you know, there's waves.
And he's he's beloved. He's going to have some good moments with them. You put them all back together again, one last run, 100%.
And they're all going to be in on the joke, which I think is going to be great.
Yes, absolutely.
Artem, does Lucasum look at the boys, House of Dragon, Last of Us, and think we are on the same level?
I mean, that's a fantastic question.
It's a fantastic question.
It really is a good question.
Because it's almost like, you know,
you know that these questions are going to send me out.
That's why you're laughing over there.
But you look at that board meeting and they're like,
oh, okay, look, we're on par.
Our rating is the same thing.
And it's like, yeah, look at this.
Look at everything we're doing.
It's like, I do think that they think that their shows are better than they are.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
For sure.
I would agree with that.
I would agree.
Yeah, it's like, yeah, and it's the same question that goes with the, once the end or season two comes out.
The question is what they're going to say in the board meeting after like, oh, everybody loves, oh, they love all our shows.
It's like, no.
Armada, Christian, did you finish Shogun and Fall Out?
No, but I just finished a show.
I finished 30 episodes of a show that I had never even peeped at before, before I finished both of those shows.
This pool is finishing dark matter, but he's not finishing show.
Yeah, finished dark matter.
I finished 30 episodes of Umbrella Academy.
He's caught up on Bluey.
He's caught up on Bluey's adventure.
All caught up on Bluey and Nicky, Ricky, Sammy, and Don.
That one also, also for the umbrella academy.
And the Camp Kikiwaka, whatever that one is.
Peyton List is in that show also.
I have two TVs going on when my kids, so there's a TV that we have in like the, in the den that my little one's been, my oldest has been binging,
Cobra Guy.
Oh, yeah.
Right.
And so I have the TV that the little soprano takes over that she watches, she watches Camp Kikiwaka.
I walk in there, Peyton List is all over my damn house everywhere.
I wish you let me take your child.
I wish you let me take your child and turn her into a movie critic.
I would love to do like all-rated movies, all of them.
No, not Bibb is, you can't touch it.
The other one is already too old.
The other one is already old, beyond her years, the young one.
And I want her to start reviewing movies.
Yeah. Oh, the little one. Yeah. You'd wind up. You'd wind up that, that luscious Latino hair would be gone within three days.
Matt's sinister McCall. Have Regal unlimited and have watched 10 movies since 6.30. Only $20 a month. Besides Bloodsport, I need Van Dam movie suggestions. You have a few? Kickboxer. Hell yeah. Kickboxer, absolutely. Watch kickboxer.
Double impact. Double impact was the other one I was going to say, for sure. A hard target.
our target definitely just because of who's involved yeah those are the ones that come to mind sudden death and then um uh lionheart is
lion heart lion heart's a great suggestion lion heart love that movie uh husker for life trap doesn't have a mind blowing twist
yeah that's also what i but i i heard that too i think that's probably why yeah who knows who knows okay uh n lsfc 96 i thought that the house of the dragon
was great. It was classic Game of Thrones.
It looked like a Battle of the Bastards. It was built up from
seasons that was setting everything up.
Okay, well, that's, that's, see, so
John's on the same page. This guy's on the same page.
So, let's say, and he follows
it up by saying, also, season
one finale for House of the Dragon didn't end
in a huge battle. It's a great season of TV.
You and John seem to be on the same
page, and I wonder, I feel like I'm going to be
on the same page also, because I've been
enjoying what we've been getting so far.
Yeah. Okay, so Husker
for life, there wasn't a twist in the happening.
Oh, yeah, that's true.
There wasn't?
Okay.
No, there's nothing going on in that.
So what you're saying is one movie out of 40 didn't have a twist.
Therefore, you can't say all the movies don't have a twist.
Yeah, two of them.
Pete Parker, 2288.
Reynolds wants a Logan-style send-off for Blade.
I mean, he wants to do this whole, I mean, look, if it was Sony, if it was Sony, then I would say, you know, okay, fine.
Then do your Toby McGuire movie.
Do your Andrew Garfield movie.
You need it.
Marvel can't be making Wesley Snype and Channing Tatum movies right now.
Ryan needs to calm down.
Let's just put that on the, I'm going to say from my point of view, you want to put me on a solo.
Ryan needs to calm down, okay?
This is getting out of control.
I'm glad your movie made a lot of money.
I'm glad you brought in Hugh Jackman, which, by the way, is half the attraction and why
that movie made as much money as it's making.
Sean Levy did a great job directing you guys in a fun little film.
A lot of critics have legitimate criticism of why that.
has story issues.
But look, the fans are loving it.
They're enjoying it.
This does not mean you get to now fancast and fan-wish movies into the MCU because
you want to do them.
I mean, come on.
Let's be realistic here.
A lot of people don't want to accept this, but Ryan Reynolds' career before Deadpool happened,
my man was going straight into ensemble films and all this kind of stuff.
He was not doing great overall.
So look, Deadpool woke him up.
But show me all the big hits that Ryan Reynolds has had these great, incredible films since
Deadpool, not that.
many. So to me, I'm like, I'm happy
for him. Great. But he's going to start pushing
for this kind of stuff, man. Calm
down. Calm down. I get it. You're coming from a good place.
You want your buddies to work. I would love a Blade
movie one more with Wesley Snipes.
But like, you know,
I'm going to play the other side for
when you got, when you got the momentum,
you use it. He's
got the momentum. I guess. That's how you
go careening off a cliff.
He almost made a billion dollars from this movie
or a RA movie in a week.
In a week. You know,
you use your momentum.
And I'll tell you that if there's someone who knows how to use momentum,
whether it's on Mint Mobile or whether it's on owning a soccer team,
whether it's,
I'm going to trust his ideas.
If he's going to say,
listen,
you tweet it out there and you put it out there and you say,
hey,
why do we,
I just don't think Marvel should be doing it.
Yeah.
But I don't think that,
I think that, yeah,
if I'm here,
him, I'll be honest. I'm doing the same thing.
If I'm right. You know what you?
You used to cashé when you get it.
And he's doing it for the good of his friends, like Channing Tatum.
You know what I'm going to do?
People want to see Wesley Snipes.
He doesn't done any. People love what he's doing right now.
It's trending.
Hey, give Wesley Snipes a movie.
Good engagement.
Look, Wesley tweeted out that headline saying, we don't need Mahars Lali Blade.
We need a Wesley blade movie and then said, you guys are crazy.
essentially kind of co-signing that possibility.
So maybe it's a movement here.
That's what I mean. So I think that I understand.
I understand the strategy now.
All right. So let's see.
It's like a middle.
Pete Parker.
I love gamut since I was a kid and Tate him,
in my opinion, was laughable.
I couldn't take it seriously,
especially after X-Men 97.
Yeah, I mean,
that's, it was more so like a bit.
It was a bit.
And as I say,
I would much rather have a new gamut movie.
So yeah, I'm, I love, I loved the scene, loved it.
But that's just wasn't, I don't want to see it.
I don't want to see it.
I didn't want to see it beforehand.
I don't want to see it now, but I do, I like,
but let's say it's like, you make one for $40 million, but they'll never really do that.
Chang Tatum alone would cost like 20.
Yeah.
Mike Pelly theory, MCU's Tony was Victor all along, adopted by Howard and unaware of his true identity.
Could explain why an R.DJ variant is,
is actually doomed and could offer intriguing storytelling going forward.
I mean,
you could,
but I mean,
wasn't he adopted in the story?
They haven't thought he was adopted.
In the comics?
I don't know.
I don't know,
but it's not,
it's not a terrible way to do it.
Not a terrible way to do it.
It's just,
it's just messy.
Not your version,
Mike,
but the casting downing in general,
it could get messy.
Could get messy.
Yeah,
But I mean, but that's a creative way to do it.
I think to go off Mike's point, it should be creative.
You know, he should figure out a way to do it creatively and not to say, oh, yeah, he is now.
Bam 86, an actor playing the same character is not the problem.
Christopher Walken played the same character, almost his entire career, is about whether we like that character or not.
What does he be playing the same character?
An actor playing the same character for which, what's in that reference to?
Bam, I'm saying about Robert Danny Jr.
um bam i or a john wick playing the same character over again or whatever but look oh oh oh about um no
no no that's not not john wick who oh oh oh come oh yeah oh yeah fair point yeah he was saying it's not
christopher walk can play the same character almost the tiger rates about whether no it's not
whether you like him or not it's that's i disagree it's about because because i like him when he's in
the movies i just don't want to see the same schick and christopher walkin's not doing the same
He's he's got the same voice, but he's not doing the same schick every time.
Yeah, no, go watch Annie Hall, go watch Deer Hunter, go watch all these movies before the 2000s when he became that schick.
Right. He had three, three, four decades of movies where he was doing some great, great work.
Yeah, he's got a lot of different things. Like, he's not, it's like, now when you see him, I'm not going to disagree that when he, even when he shows up in Dune 2, which he was, it was a good performance.
You go, oh, it's for walking as the emperor. I mean, I'm not going to disagree with that, but like, but, but, but,
say his entire career was like that is not is not true and it's definitely it's nothing to do with
likeability because i think i think he's is is uh i think he's like he's likeable i just don't i just
just like i just like i just know right away when he shows up this is exactly exactly the character
we're going to get this time he was a little different in the eternals a little bit a little bit that
that was um Miguel Fernandez what's up star wars news now just saying hi what's up Miguel
I would love to talk to Miguel more about because I think I feel Miguel is I feel I haven't spoken to
Miguel about anything so I don't know but I feel like he's got to be getting frustrated with Star Wars
do I got to I got to feel it I'm so curious with the Star Wars news net guys too because
they're all you know there's it's it's hard it's hard when you're when you that's that's
your thing you know that's your thing and I'm just so curious where where where that whole
website is phenomenal and how they know the news that they aggregate and stuff that
do but I'm I wonder what their overall um feeling is right now about the they were kind enough
to open the door to a possibility of me writing freelance for them and about years ago and i was like
it didn't quite with the time of everything that was doing didn't quite have enough time to do it
but now with the star war stuff I feel like I'm more inspired to write about it so I might want to
open that door again if it's just back to Miguel and the guys were there Travis again thank you
Travis Kate Skywalker should be the next point set 200 years later with Darth Crate and
others Sith hunting him like old Star Wars legacy comics series.
Yeah, but I mean that that would go back to the idea like what they're so good with
Marvel did for so long was that they took elements of their stories,
their comics and they put them in there, right?
They don't do that with Star Wars.
There's so many, I mean, they sure they do.
They brought out the Saul Guerrera.
Do you know how that Saul Guerrera thing came about?
Do you remember John how that came about?
Which part of Saul Guerrero?
What do you mean?
He used that Sawgarera.
The fact that he was in the series.
He was in the Homeware series and then he showed up in Rogue One.
Everyone was like, oh, they're finally connecting it all.
Do you know how it happened?
How?
They were using some, they were writing the script or whatever it was.
And I can't, I don't know who was Tony Gilroy.
I can't remember who it was.
Whatever was writing it said, we need to put a rebel or something that's going to be,
There's someone who's going to bucks his system and does this and they're like, well, we have a guy in there like, this guy like that in Clone Wars, Saw Guerrera.
I'm fine, let's use him.
Yeah, it's the whole thing.
Let's use that guy.
All right, let's see.
Next one, that might be it.
Let's say, is that it?
It might be it, John.
We might have, we might have hit.
Oh, no.
Not yet.
So, Space Jesus.
Oh, hello, Space Jesus.
Would you want to see Roman, Roman,
versus Rock or final Roman versus Seth Rollins match.
I feel like Roman and Seth have some beef to settle.
I mean, I think that a legacy match between the Rock and Roman is going to sell you the most tickets.
It just is.
It'd be great to see Roman and Seth, but I mean, Roman and the Rock's going to sell you tickets.
That's going to happen.
And I think, you know, after maybe Survivor Series or war games or whatever they're going to come on,
I think the Rock is going to come down and protect the young bucks and say to Roman,
and you never take sides against the family.
How could you spear solo?
What were you thinking?
And then it's Roman versus Rock.
And that's how you make it work.
Because the Rock can need.
And you can keep the Rock heel.
You can keep me healing.
You love having him back his heel.
And you can have Roman be the good guy now and get that finally gets that run that he was trying to get him over as a baby face for the longest time.
That pop.
He never got a pop like that as ever.
That's your WrestleMania match.
It should not be the Rock versus Cody for the title.
Build that up.
Chris, Hotel Nerd.
Anyone else feel like SummerSan is at much watch PLE as it was highly
transitional with all the title changes in the Judgment Day falling apart?
Yeah, it was great storytelling.
They just, they,
this is the epitome of what they're doing right right now.
Han Yolo, a John Wick show could work, in my opinion,
if they make Arena, Sawayama, Akira and Shamir Anderson,
the main lead since their character seems like they still have a storyteller,
uh, address, uh, Johnwick, four.
I mean, maybe it's just good at the writing,
but it's like you got to,
it's, can they lead a full show and get people to watch week to week?
They want it to be a massive hit.
Yeah.
Not just a good show.
They wanted to be a massive hit.
And you want to get, besides just John Wick fans,
you want to get casuals to tune in and go, oh, what the hell is this?
I don't know if they have.
I don't think that they have enough, enough.
Yeah, enough on there.
I think we got one more, John.
Okay.
All right.
This is from, yep, Pete Parker.
Oh.
How raw do you think the S&L movie will be?
Will they show all the drug use?
You don't think it will be?
No, because Jeff told me that the movie is basically the 90 minutes
before they go up on stage for the first ever SNL.
So I don't think they're going to show the women being essentially harassed by the dudes,
the sexist stuff that went on back there.
I don't see the drug use being highlighted.
The fact that they did not reach out to Kelly Carlin to get permission to use George Carlin
or his story on the show, and he was the host.
That, for me, tells me, like,
they're going a much softer route than you might think.
Plus, I think, because Sony distributes S&L internationally,
I think they're, or NBC stuff internationally.
I think they don't want to kind of stir up the pot too much.
They want it to be a love fest, I think.
Yeah.
The only thing is that, you know,
with the announcement when it's coming out,
I wonder if they're going for any awards or anything.
I can't imagine.
they're going to have balushi in it with not showing balushy coke that of his gourd yeah i don't know um this
this is actually this is actually a last okay okay future millionaire did you see david air bringing up
the air cut again did he really dude should move on already i thought he said he's going to drop it he's
bringing it up again he wants i mean he wants to get it made he's probably if it's him is like
how come snier gets to make it and i don't you know i'm sure i like david david david just did
in a movie recently that I liked a lot. What was it? What did he just do recently? Oh,
oh, damn it. What the hell did he just made a movie recently?
Sorry about that. Yeah, it was a good movie.
I'm going to say it in the, in the, uh, in the, uh, David or just did a movie recently.
Was it the beekeeper? Bekeeper, yes. That was great. Oh, right, right, right. Uh, so we,
remember I said, I like beekeeper. Yeah, like, yeah, I got a beekeeper. Anyway, and we just,
I think we just mentioned it recently. Yeah, we just mentioned it with the, with the, with the girl from
umbrella academy. Anyway, all right, we did it, guys. We made it through. Like I said,
it was a little later of an episode today, but John was doing some stuff. I was doing some stuff.
So, John, where can they find you? You can find me at the Rokazazzo on Twitter, Instagram,

you guys because you guys i enjoy doing it i enjoy interviewing i've always enjoyed doing it and you guys
have been very supportive and saying, get, you should do it.
I like watching interviews and and this clips channel for me has been the thing
where I'm like even if the interviews themselves, they do fine.
But if people are watching the clip outs and that's getting people to watch it,
I will say I've probably got a lot of inspiration from watching two people
have become really good friends.
Um, both Chris Van Bleed and Josh Horowitz have become really good friends of mine.
And they both are so good at what they do.
And you look at what Chris Van Bleed.
has been doing on his channel and the way that he's been pushing this stuff out and he and I
kind of go back and forth and talk about certain strategies and things too. So anyway, head on over
there. Thank you guys so much. And I hope that you check out our sponsors. And I'll be back tomorrow
with my interview with Murray from a Practical Joker. So thanks for joining us here today. We'll see
