But if you guys have been following for a while, you know that the goal was to get to 1 million downloads in the first 12 months. And I am doing zero advertising. Since the podcast is free, please, please, please share with some people. I really want to get to a million downloads because that is a very, very rare thing.
Starting point is 00:02:53 And I think it would be awesome for our community to have something like that. A million downloads. It would show that we are legit as far as a podcast goes. And we're some corny motivational podcasts of just some crazy people that like to live life and be excited. With that being said, if you are also interested in group coaching, you can go to mwfmotivation.com slash coaching. And you can learn a little bit more about the group coaching, which has been awesome and one of the most things that I've been most passionate about in my life, to be honest with you. And it's only been out for a few weeks at this point, but I'm freaking fired up about it. Another announcement in the last one, before I get into the content, I promise is that I
Starting point is 00:03:32 have a social media platform. Everything is growing so quickly that I'm in need of a social media manager. With that being said, I will tell you what I'm looking for in a social media manager is someone who knows a lot about social media, not someone who's wanting to learn. Because I want to bounce ideas off of them, I have a lot of really good ideas and also some ideas that have... I've had a video go viral and do over 10 million views. So this would probably be for someone who knows a lot about social media, probably someone who's in college or around that because it would be really good resume experience to say that they ran a social media platform with over 50,000 followers and over 15 million views and videos on the Facebook page alone. But that being said, and it will be a pretty exciting thing because in turn for this, for their services of my social media
Starting point is 00:04:26 manager and the resume experience, they will be able to get coaching with me as well for free, one-on-one coaching, which is what I'm going to return it as. So I think that would be pretty cool to have somebody that's tied in. I could do one-on-one coaching with them. So if you are interested, send me an email, rob at mwfmotivation.com. Let me know about you. Let me know that you're interested in the social media manager position, and I would love to have a conversation with you. So today we're going to be talking about complaining. And of course, that being said, whoever my social media manager that comes on will not be a complainer. But the question that
Starting point is 00:05:03 I have for you is, are you a complainer or do you know a complainer? Are you a recovering complainer that's clean and sober from complaining? Or do you complain in your head? And that's the thing. You might not always complain verbally, but you might complain in your head as soon as something happens. And that's what most people don't think about. And we all know those people that if you just, you know, just more than anything else, they love to complain. It's no matter what it is, they're a complainer, it festers in their head. And we all know those people. And if you're one of them, let me give you some advice on why to change your mindset and why this will change your life. Like I said before, there is no good, there is no bad, only the labels that we attach to them. So if you're complaining about something,
Starting point is 00:05:49 what you're doing is you're automatically taking a step back. You're not going forward, you're taking a step back. And we all know that you're either green and growing or you're brown and dying. And if you're complaining, you're brown and dying and going backwards. Everything in life is a learning experience. Therefore, there is no reason to complain. Let me say that again. Everything in life is a learning experience. That's how it should be treated. And therefore, there is no reason to complain because no matter what happens, it is quote unquote good because you learn from it, even if it should be considered a quote unquote bad. And this is very, very important for you to understand. The hardest things in life are the best things for you to learn. Some of the hardest things you'll go through in your entire life are
Starting point is 00:06:37 some of the best learning experiences that you'll ever have. Complaining is a disease and it does no good. It does no good for you. It doesn't make you go further. It makes you go backwards. It actually makes you take a step back and making you even further from your goal than you want to be. So if you're a complainer, you either need to start looking for the good in every single thing and challenge yourself to do that, or you need to learn to develop thick skin. And one thing that I loved and where this all came from is I was thinking about it and I heard a quote from Jeff Bezos and he was in an interview and somebody asked him, he said, there's almost no margin and you're taking almost no margin on some of these products and you're prepared to make it so thin, the margin's so thin that you can drive
Starting point is 00:07:22 people out of business. And you have that kind of strength. And the worry is, is Amazon ruthless in their pursuit of the market share? And that's the question that he asked him. Jeff Bezos, if you don't know, is the CEO and founder of Amazon. And Jeff Bezos said, the internet is disrupting every media industry. You know, people can complain about that, but complaining is not a strategy. Amazon is not happening to book selling. The future is happening to book selling. And at that point in time, if you know what a mic drop is, that would be a mic drop right after it. Here's the thing. What he's saying is that Amazon is not putting these companies out of business.
Starting point is 00:08:06 is that Amazon is not putting these companies out of business. The internet, the world, everything that's changing, technology is putting them out of business. Amazon just happens to be at the forefront of it. So let me say this again. The internet is disrupting every media industry. You know, people can complain about that, but complaining is not a strategy. Amazon is not happening to book selling. The future is happening to book selling. The future is happening to book selling. So if you own a business, lots of entrepreneurs love to complain, but complaining is not a strategy to make your company make more money. And Gary Vaynerchuk says this perfectly. He says, there was something I was watching the other day and he was talking to a guy who's doing a question answer at South by Southwest. And this guy lives
Starting point is 00:08:50 in Houston. And he was just complaining about the fact that marijuana is not legal in Houston yet. So he can't open the business that he wants to. And he literally says, nobody gives a F about your feelings. Entrepreneurship doesn't give an F about your feelings. Nobody in this room gives an F about your feelings. He said, unsuccessful entrepreneurs are the ones that complain about stuff instead of actually going out and looking at the world for what it is and making adjustments where they need to make adjustments. So same exact thing that Jeff Bezos is saying
Starting point is 00:09:25 about Amazon. It's not that his company is putting these companies out of business. All of the other companies are putting themselves out of business because they're not making changes quick enough or they're complaining about the fact that they can't stay open because they have to take low margins. So what I'll say to you is if you are an entrepreneur, if you're anybody and you're trying to make changes and you're trying to become better and you're trying to grow your business or you're trying to grow your personal brand, complaining is not going to get you anywhere. If you work for somebody, complaining is not going to get you anywhere. You have to learn to make adjustments. The world is changing so fast and in the next five years, it's only going to
Starting point is 00:10:03 change faster. And the people who can stay on top of the change and ahead of the curve are going to be the most successful people in the world in the next five years or so. So I challenge you, my challenge for you over the next couple days is can you find a way to spin every single thing that's negative that happens to you into a positive? Can you find a way to spin everything that happens to you, no matter what it is, into a positive? If you get hit by a car, can you figure out a way to spin that into a positive? Because naturally what most people want to do is complain and complaining gets you nowhere because complaining is not a strategy. Complaining is a cancer that eats you from the inside and gets you nowhere and
Starting point is 00:10:47 actually makes you go further from your goals. Complaining is a cancer. Get rid of it and you will be happier and you will be more successful. So with that, once again, if you are interested in group coaching, go to mwfmotivation.com slash coaching to go and learn about group coaching. For me, there's a video up there so you can see that.
