Welcome to the Mindset and Motivation Podcast, one of the top motivational podcasts in the
world.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we come out with a short, to the point, no BS episode
to help make massive changes in your mind and transform you from who you are now to
who you want to be.
My name is Rob Dial and the podcast starts now. never miss another episode. And last but not least, once again, we only have a couple more days. If you're listening to this episode on the day it comes out, there's only a couple more days
left to join in on the Iron Mind 60 Challenge. We already have over 400 people that are a part
of the group. So if you're interested in changing your life, in becoming the person that you want
to become, then this is for you. I just had a conversation with my niece outside. She's 11
years old. And I was talking about this mastermind that I'm flying out to tomorrow. And she said,
and you know, I showed her the resort we're staying in. She's like, Oh my gosh, how much
did that cost? And, and I told her how much the resort costs. And she goes, well, you know,
how much did it cost to go into the mastermind? And, and I said, you know, how much do you think it costs?
And she said, a thousand dollars. I said, no, it was more. And I said, I paid $25,000 to get a
part of this mastermind. And she's like, Holy crap. My mom's right there. My mom's like, Holy
crap, you paid $25,000. And I was like, yeah, because I paid $25,000 into investing into myself.
You know, I said, what smart people do is they take their money and put it
into investments and they know the number one investment that they can put is into themselves.
The number one investment in the world, the number one return on investment is self-education.
And I said, I'm putting $25,000 into this over the course of this year, but I know that this
$25,000 will make me three, four, five, should be 10x this.
So I know that I'll be making a ton of money off it.
I said, what if I go to this mastermind?
Everybody else in that mastermind, you know, pays $25,000 and I meet my next business partner
and we make millions of dollars off our next business.
Would that $25,000 be worth it?
She said, yeah, of course it would.
And I said, see, most people buy things with their money, but I like to buy self-education because that's the best return
on investment. I want to see myself grow. So yeah, I paid $25,000 to be part of a mastermind,
but I did it without hesitation because of the fact that I knew that that $25,000 would come
back a lot. And you know, it will come back way more. I'll make millions of
dollars off that $25,000, no doubt in my mind. But most people, when they see $25,000 in their
account, they're like, oh, I can fix in my house. I could buy a new car. I could buy an RV. We could
do this. We could do this. And hey, it's everybody's own prerogative. But for me, I know that self
education is going to make me the most money. Self-education also makes me the happiest. It's
what I love to do. So if you're out there and you're like, I don't know, I want to join this
challenge. I'm not sure if I want to join this challenge. I'll tell you this, whether you join
the challenge or not, the investment that it would cost to join it, as long as you just put that into
yourself, put your money into yourself, it will pay off. That's the thing that you have to realize.
I said it, you know, when I first originally announced it, you know, I announced it and said the amount of money that
it costs is less than what it will cost over the two months for most people to pay their phone
bills. But people would rather text than they would put money into investing into themselves
to change their lives. So this had nothing to do with the episode. Well, I guess it has something
to do with today's episode because I'm talking about studying.
So if you're out there and you're holding yourself back
from your own personal education
because you want to buy things with that money,
that's your own prerogative.
But what I will tell you is that you will see the most,
you will get the best return on investment
if you take that money and invest into yourself.
So if you're out there,
you're ready to become the person that you know you can become so that you can create the life that you want yourself. So if you're out there, you're ready to become the person
that you know you can become
so that you can create the life that you want to create.
If you're out there
and you feel like you have more potential,
you have more that you're capable of,
but you don't know how to access it,
I think my Iron Mind 60 challenge is for you.
So go to ironmind60.com.
So ironmind60.com.
Join us.
I would love to see you in there. So we're going to talk about
studying versus training, studying versus, you know, studying versus taking action. So
one thing that I realized a couple of years ago, I was stuck in a rut about three years ago,
excuse me. And the reason why was because I was spending too much of my time studying.
So, you know, I just started a business and the
business was doing decently well. But what I kept telling myself was I needed to keep learning more.
I need to keep reading books. I need to keep taking courses. I need to keep the self-education
going, which is good, as I just said at the beginning of this episode. But what you have
to realize is this. There's a point where you're spending too much of your time studying and not enough of your time taking action. It's great to study. It's great to
grow. It's great to put your time, money, and energy into self-education. That is absolutely
100% necessary. Yes. But there's a time when you got to take action. You can't spend all of your day reading books about the things you need to do.
And this is what a lot of people like to do.
Like I have a couple of coaching clients that I'm thinking of specifically, and they love
to buy online courses.
They love to, you know, invest the money into themselves, but they spend so much of their
time on online courses and in certifications and whatever it is that they're trying to
do that they don trying to do,
that they don't spend enough time sometimes taking action. And that's what I tell them.
I have to bring them back and say, hey, listen, I love that you're spending money into your
self-education, but you need to get off your butt and actually do something. Because what we do is
this, and I want you to think in your head, is this you? Do you spend most of your time learning and growing? And that is actually covering up your
fear of failure, your fear of rejection, your fear of judgment, because you're telling yourself,
oh, I'm learning and growing. One day I'll start that business. I'm learning and growing. One day
I'll do this. I'm learning and growing. Oh, one day I'll do that. But you never actually do it.
So self-education is absolutely 100% necessary. But sometimes you
just got to get off your freaking butt and do something, right? You can't keep reading books
about starting your own business. You can't keep going to school about starting your own business.
You know, it's the difference between going to school and taking a business class or actually
going out in the real world and learning business by having a business, right? You're going to learn more from being out into the real world. It's like,
if you want to be a basketball player, right? This is the perfect example. Most people spend,
the ones that have the fear of, you know, fear of failure, fear of judgment, the fear of rejection
or whatever it is that might be that's holding them back. They're like, I need to keep training.
I need to keep training. I need to keep studying. I need to keep taking classes and
certifications and do all these things. That's great and all, but it's like wanting to be a
basketball player. And all you keep do is watching old clips of the NBA. You watch the NBA finals
over and over and over again. You read books on how to dribble better. You read books on how to
shoot better. You watch the videos, you go on YouTube and you see all these different people that teach you how to dribble better, how to shoot
better, how to guard better, how to, you know, defend better. But then you never actually pick
up a basketball, right? That's how most people I feel are doing it. There's a time in your life
where you have to ask yourself, am I spending too much time? And I got to this point. Am I spending
too much time reading? Am I spending too much time listening
to podcasts when I really just need to create action? Now, once again, there's a fine line
between self-education and then the fear being disguised as self-education. So, you know, for me,
the reason why I think the Iron Mind 60 Challenge is good is because I'm going to be giving a video
lesson every single day. And it could be two minutes, five minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes. I don't know. It's just
going to be whatever's on my mind, whatever's on my heart is what's going to come out that day.
Whatever I feel the group needs, but then they have to actually get up and do something,
right? They can't disguise their fear anymore and not go out and do what they need to do.
So if you're out there, I want you to think about this, you know, ask yourself this question. Am I
spending too much time studying when I should be taking more time training, which means taking
action. Ask yourself this question and go with your gut feeling. I want you to just, just yes or
no. What does your gut feeling say? Okay. Ask yourself this question. Do I need to take more action?
Okay. What does your gut feeling say? Not your mind because your gut feeling is your emotional
compass. Your gut is always correct. Your mind always tries to talk you out of everything.
What does your gut feeling say? Does it say yes or does it say no? Do you need to spend more time taking action? If it's yes, then you
need to spend less time acting like you're studying, like you're getting ready to take action
and not actually taking action. Because it's the equivalent of somebody who watches all of the
basketball games, all of the YouTube videos on basketball, reads all of the books on basketball,
but never actually picks up a basketball. If you're out there and you're ready to make changes in your life, you have to take action. You will not get the life
that you want unless you get off the couch. Unless you go out there, you put in the work that you
need to put in. So it's a simple, simple idea that I want you to think about. Do I need to take more
action? And if the answer is yes, stop acting like you need to learn more. Stop acting like you
need to listen to more podcasts. Of course, still listen to this one. Of course. But you don't need
to listen to all 600 episodes or whatever it is in the next three weeks. You don't need to start
from number one. Listen to me once a day, twice a day, and take up 15, 30 minutes of your time.
But then go do something else. When you're at the gym, you know, then you can listen to me. When you're
driving, then you can listen to me, but don't take time out of your day, three hours out of your day
to listen to me and then to read and then to meditate and then to do all of those things.
When you could do all of that in an hour, which I think is, believe me, it could be done in an hour,
an hour and a half, and spend the other two hours to an hour and a half taking action. So what you need to do, think about this for a second, go with your
gut feeling. Am I disguising my quote unquote studying? Am I telling myself it's studying?
Am I disguising my fear as studying? That's the question. Am I disguising my fear of whatever it is, judgment, rejection, failure, success?
Am I disguising my fear as a need to grow, as studying, as education? Because education is
always necessary, but education means nothing if you don't actually take action. Of course,
you need to learn about basketball. Of course, you need to learn how to dribble. Of course, you need to learn from people who are
better, but it doesn't make any sense unless you pick up the basketball. So that's the simple
question that I want you to think about today. Do I need to take more action? If your answer is yes,
the next question to ask yourself is what is the action that I need to take?
So that's what I got for you for today. If once again,
you're interested in joining the Iron Mind Challenge, go to ironmind60.com. I was just
talking with my mom and my niece. I was telling you guys about this. And another conversation we
had was my mom was like, you know, I said, when was the last time you went to the gym?
She said, oh, I went to the gym two weeks ago. I need to get back on it. And I said, well,
sounds like you need to join the Iron Mind 60 Challenge. This is a true story. This just happened. So listen to this,
everybody. So it looks like it sounds like you need to, you need to join the Ironman 60 challenge.
She's like, yeah, you know, this is a cold showers are the things that scare me. I don't know about
the cold shower thing. And, and I was like, well, you know, then that means that you need to do it.
If you're, if you feel the fear, that means that you need to go into it. You need to feel the fear
and do it anyways. That's what life is all about. She's like, I know you're right. And then my niece was there. She's 11.
She says, what's this challenge all about? They start talking about it. And we tell her about
the challenge. And my niece goes, I'll do it with you. And so my mom and my niece are both going to
be doing it. Obviously, I'm not going to be charging my mom or my niece. Actually, if you
want me to be completely honest with you, I am charging my mom. And what I told
her is this. I said, if you don't finish the challenge, I keep the money. If you finish the
challenge, I will give you your money back. Now, this was from my mom, obviously. The lady raised
me and gave birth to me. So I told my mom that. I said, if you finish the challenge all 60 days,
I'll give you your money back. And she said, oh, that's good. That's a good deal. I'll take that one. So now my niece and my mom,
my mom and my niece, my niece is 11 years old, are going to be texting each other every single day,
starting Monday, holding each other accountable to the Iron Mind 60 challenge. So if an 11-year-old
can do it, and my mom who's in her 60s can do it as well, I think you can do it. So if you're interested in joining in and changing your life and living up to your full potential,
go to ironmind60.com. Watch the video that's on there. There's a long video that explains a lot
of stuff and there's actually a lesson that's on that page. So worst case scenario, if you just
feel like learning more from me, you can watch the long format video that's up there where I teach
about your comfort zones, how to break through them, and why it works the way it works with your caveman brain. So go to ironmind60.com to learn
more, and I'd love to see you in there. But if you're thinking about it, the very last moment
that you can join is June 24th at 11.59 PM Pacific Standard Time. So after that, we will shut down
all signups. Nobody will be able to join. If I have 100 people ask me to join the next next day, they're going to get a hundred emails back to say, no, I will not open up the
doors because we are going to be going full force in the Iron Mind 60 Challenge. So if you're
interested, go to ironmind60.com, check it out, see if it's right for you. And I'm going to leave
you the same way I leave you every single episode, make it your mission, make somebody else's day
better. I appreciate you and I hope that you have an amazing day.
