More on them in just a bit.
You guys got anything to add?
That's the symbol of our dojo.
You guys got anything you'd like to add?
No?
Okay. Season 6, episode 7.
What's with the attitude?
I don't know.
I hate this.
Chris, let us watch the show.
the show. Greg, draw another thing over there. Season 6, episode 7, come in.
Greg, I'll come to you second. John, what'd you think? I have been enjoying the show.
The Dublin, man. Hi, the Dublin, whatever they were, whatever they called again.
The Dublin Warriors or something. The Dublin Warriors. Top of the morning to you. Yes,
I'm glad to see some of my people out there fighting for glory.
on the world stage uh no i i enjoyed this episode quite a bit it felt like it had a decent amount
more room to breathe than the previous one i like a lot of the way they've been drawing the
struggle to get the team in alignment with each other the way that they have been uh fleshing out
these remaining conflicts and how hard it can be to get your head in the game when so much is on the
line how do you reach the zone when there's so much at stake and you have your personal history and
all that how do you clear your head and just get everybody together and i feel like you know
certainly we all came into this part of the show being like how are they ever going to survive
against these elite groups of martial artists who at least as by what we've seen of the current
cobra kai team spend all of their time eating sleeping breathing and drinking karate um but yeah for the
most part uh i i dug it and uh even i mean i'm curious to hear your guys thoughts because at the outset
Certainly the whole kidnapping thing felt like it could be a bit of a stretch.
But I feel like this show does, as a history of flirting with the line of jumping the shark and then bringing us back around.
So, you know, I feel like they managed by the end of the episode to not feel too much like they jumped the shark with that.
It definitely jumped the shark.
I saw Fonsie.
Saw I'm going over that shark.
Yes.
Well, I don't see a middle finger here.
Oh, there it is.
There it is.
Okay.
There's the middle finger.
Hey, how you doing, Greg?
A circle the middle of fingers, you don't miss it.
I see, I was looking here, so I didn't see that.
Yeah.
What did you think, Greg?
All right.
I like this episode a lot, ladies and gentlemen.
I thought this was a really solid one, more of what I wanted.
See what happens when you don't cut around to a billion storylines.
You can focus more on the few that you're cutting around to.
I mean, you still need the setup of what happened in the last episode.
Of course.
But, no, I thought almost.
Every scene here was really impactful.
I like how this was rooted in the characterization of Johnny having to learn the mistakes he was making as a leader in order to positively influence and affect the team.
And that involved him taking responsibility, recognizing his failures, truly identifying with them.
And then also empowering them with strengths that he didn't actually have.
I loved how he says, like, you guys understand balance way better than even I do.
like he didn't put the blame game on like how he was being accused of and the whole erring their grievances i thought was so significant because that form of you know repression inside of a dialogue exchange and teamwork can often lead to paralyization as we saw what was happening with the team where they were becoming so stiff so watching these lessons unfold that didn't involve having to have daniel and johnny get into a conflict to come to this resolution
It just involved direct student connection from Johnny talking with both members of Miyagi Doe and Eagle Fang combined.
It was better that he landed there on his own versus having to have an influence of a Daniel conversation.
Agreed.
Even with the whole like the Devonession moment, the Devon Confession moment, which is fascinating to me to see just how calm Johnny was about it.
like his reaction to it was almost like he was suspected something he's done a bunch of shit in this day
no pun intended this was such like a big stakes thing that he kind of like robbed him that she kind
of really did do something truly atrocious and uh to kind of be getting like a hey it's okay
pat right away without any real punishment like i love her confession i thought it was a really
tender scene uh i just thought it was a little bit like fascinating how soft he like 100% was
about it and understanding.
But yeah, no, I thought this was a really good episode
with some fun fights, and I'm loving
Miguel's performance. I'm loving a showlo's
performance a lot. Yeah, no,
it's someone who teaches children in the ways
of baseball. I mean, this really resonated
with me, too, so like...
Yeah, yeah, no, I mean,
like Johnny, I've made
mistakes in my past as well.
I don't know, to Johnny's extent, but
you know, that's what I try to encompass
in the kids I teach
in baseball, you know what I mean?
you know is about that that balance and uh i i try to to show them like hey like it's all good if
you make mistakes like that at the end of the day it's all about um you know practicing and it's all
about uh you know positive reinforcement and also too i've i've had times too like when i first
got into coaching uh having uh arguments with coaches i work with so like seeing that with daniel i know
it's a repetitive thing that we see it's sometimes be tedious i've had that happen as well but also too i've
had times where I let out a negativity from a leadership perspective. And I've had to look myself in
the mirror and get better. So again, that that really did hit close to home for me when I was watching
that and seeing Johnny, like, learn from his mistakes and realize like, hey, like, you know,
in order like for these kids to be the best that they can be, like, I've got to change. And I think
you made a good point in terms of like, I'm glad he didn't have to have that conversation with Daniel.
And he realized, like, this isn't working out. Like, he really had a hard moment for himself when
the kids were talking back to him in that locker room.
It was a really good scene.
But yeah, no, it was a good episode.
I was really, like, bothered.
I know we talked about it with Robbie looking at toy.
And again, I get.
Sometimes it's hard not to look, you know.
I get it.
Tori, Tori's a good.
She's a really pretty girl.
It's not about that.
It's like when you like somebody, it's hard not to look at them.
And I get that.
I get that.
But it's like, dude, just focus.
Please.
If it happens one or two times, fine.
I can let that go, but it's just, it's a thing that just keeps happening.
When he tied his band like that to that headband, I really thought he had like really embraced like, okay, I'm going to be the leader now.
Miguel like really made me realize like, okay, I need to embrace this role as the lead as the captain, if you will.
Well, it's like when he says, sorry to interrupt.
Thank you to Huell for sponsoring today's video.
Now, guys, I'm going to give you all the God's honest truth of how this sponsorship came to be.
small membership came to be we got contacted about basically partnering up with huel before we agreed to
anything the very first thing i said was i would like to try the product first i did a uh instagram
post on our real rejects one it was the first time you see me trying the huel product basically
going like hey we might not partner with them this is not a paid instagram post but i just wanted
to try it since a lot of you guys asked for like health recommendations now and to know kind of
what i take only because of the fact that i'm vegetarian i have very limited protein options so i gave
a shot and ended up loving it primarily the chocolate one wow this is really this is a really
great one one of the best things about it is that yes it's pre-packaged and a lot of times when it comes
to like the prepackaged bottles i'm not a big fan of them normally which he got me drinking
on camera is one of these which takes a very long time to put together and can often get messy
and it's just not aesthetically pleasing but i'm trying to pack like a lot of vitamins and fiber
protein. The best part about Hewell is a lot of what I try to pack into this one giant shake
is already available in this little bottle. Often taste better than what I can actually
assemble myself. It actually tastes great. It's got a high protein intake count as well. And
you know what? Brad new bottle. If you guys can see, it's filled to the top. This is how good
it tastes.
Now, normally, what you want to do is spread it out, but if you want it in one go, it's just as good.
It tastes really freaking good.
Thank you so much for sponsored in this video.
The one thing they want me to say is this is you can get 15% off Hewled today with code Rejects at Hewle.com slash Rejects.
Fuel your best performance with Hewle today.
They are great, and I am already almost out of the many bottles they sent me.
If you guys do go check them out at Hewold.com slash Rejects, you'll see they've got a whole bunch more items available as well.
and if they taste anything as good as this,
I'm going to be a very happy customer
for a very, very long time,
so join me on this health journey.
It's when he says to him,
it's not all about you, Miguel.
He says that, right?
And I'm like, well, Robbie,
you're kind of making this all about you
with the amount of times
you are sacrificing your team
just because you keep getting lost
in thought about Tori when you're up there.
She's not even reciprocating that for you
when she's up there.
The first few times, totally understandable.
I think we've all,
a lot of us have been,
We all understand, especially the first few times it happened.
It became, like, kind of laughable when it's like, I made a joke that he was going to do it.
I was like, I made a joke.
She's not even like fighting.
She's just standing there.
And I was like, oh, man, he really did it.
Right.
Like, right here.
And it shows just how right Miguel is.
And it does reach up.
Like, again, understandable, totally get it.
I've made, I've had to do performative things, competition things too, where I find myself looking at.
someone where I probably should have done my focus isn't right but after a certain point it is like
dude you're like life is on the line right now your career's on the line and uh you have to you
have to have the ability to focus for a few minutes while you're doing this yeah and it does get
frustrating to watch a character go through that I would say and not there's not those people who
probably would do what Robbie does honestly there are people well it's that it's relatable it is
It's one of those things where I feel like
sometimes in life you can be made aware
of a problem that you're creating
for yourself and the more you've kind of
focus on trying to fix it the harder
it is to get out of it. You just amplify the problem.
You just keep doing it more. You magnify it, yeah.
Also, this episode really motivated me
to not have any more muffins in my life.
Yeah, man.
Just eggs without salt. Yeah,
you know, I'm surprised. You would think with someone
like what Lewis Tan was talking about, he would be more
on like a 16-8 fasting kind of diet program instead of having a breakfast.
I imagine he probably skipped the breakfast, but perhaps he does need to get a certain amount
of protein to take.
What is where like 250?
You think?
Maybe actually a solid 190.
Yeah, he's definitely on a calorie deficit.
And muscle.
Yeah, he's probably on a solid 190.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I would say that he probably would need a little bit more extra protein.
But four eggs would only be about like, what, four, six times four, but that 24.
And really.
There's a proton.
Even a lot of protein.
Sorry to interrupt you.
And really quick.
They really are setting up.
You don't even get the good fats in there, like the good cholesterol.
They really are setting, they really are, yes, Greg, they really are setting up to with that captain of the Iron Dragons.
You saw that too. It's just protein. You know, you probably need a little bit extra nutritional, like, vitamins.
Sorry, Andrew, I'm so sorry. I know what you're saying is semi important.
No, no. I think actually being healthy is more important than what I'm about to say.
It's just more of a character storyline. So I think, you know.
Boring.
I think like I saw my knees more.
I was just going to say, I need a notebook to take some notes on these.
Yeah, no, really quickly, last thing.
I'm curious to see where we go with the captain of the Iron Dragon
because you saw that Lewis Tan was literally physically abusing him into.
Terry Silver.
Yeah, he was, oh, I guess you could say that.
But, I mean, we saw that he gave Samantha a look there also that Samantha had saw that he was hitting him.
So I'm curious to see where that goes.
Any thoughts on that really quick?
No, good.
Okay.
He's going to join Miyagi.
He's going to defect.
We didn't even check in with the other, the main guy.
we the main um oh from cobra kai yeah the main bad guy main main man evil guy main Korean guy from
cobra kai yeah i don't think we really saw him at all this episode i just realized that too
but we did see or kim danyo uh kim dion dion dion sorry yeah i don't think we still heard
it all in this episode did we it was very cold it was light on cobra kai they were there but it
well i think that's that's to gregg's point like yeah focused got on the less uh
Less storylines, less characters.
It was a little bit of a tighter episode.
And Raina Valendingham, you got to follow her.
Look at this 13th time world champion in Taekwondo, fourth degree black belt.
Like, she's in, like, her video, she's like, I guess she's also a model.
But she's also like an insane martial.
Like there are like some of these videos, let me just play one for Andrew Maria.
Like she's like fucking fast.
Holy Dan.
Oh my God.
She would kill these.
Honestly, like it's not even like the choreography she has here is like not demonstrating
it all just like how ruthless.
Oh, my gosh.
I know this is not a performer
to his name's Arnold.
He's great.
She's a,
she's a,
he's like a super badass.
She really is.
Yeah,
no,
I'm sure all the actors
like,
slow down and the director's like,
the camera can't catch you.
Look at her stick work.
Oh my God.
She's insanely quick.
Look at this.
Oh,
wow.
She's fucking nuts.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
She's lethal, man.
She's really pretty.
Social media video martial arts reaction.
I know.
Oh, yeah.
And she's pretty too,
which is cool for her.
Yeah.
It's not fair.
You know,
You can't be like good-looking and an exceptionally good fighter.
They got her and Louis-Tan.
It's not fair, man.
I hate them both.
I hate them both.
And you hate me,
you hate them.
Who don't you hate?
Don't know.
Really,
I hate myself.
That's why I project the hate onto everyone else.
Sounds good.
Even though I try to take the proper amount of genius mushrooms in the morning for brain eutropics
and function a little bit better.
I still don't actually feel like I'm in a...
Do you think Louis-Tan's character takes neutrope?
I appreciate me.
Or does you think they're a scam?
All right, well, guys, better question.
What did you guys think of season six, episode seven?
What's your diet regimen like that?
Yes, we want to know that as well.
How much protein are you getting?
Are you on a calorie?
Yeah, let us know in the comments.
Greg will, you know, let you know what you can do better in that area.
Do you skip breakfasts?
Getting that six-pack ab.
It's coming along nicely.
But guys, let us know what you think of season six, episode seven.
Season six, part two.
What do you think so far?
We're excited to get the rest of the season now.
Make sure you hit that notification bell, so you are notified when we
dropped each episode and we'll see you guys later.
