Starting point is 00:01:04 More on them in just a bit. Happy Life Day, everybody. As you know, we are getting ready for the holiday season. And Disney Plus has decided to drop the next two episodes on Christmas Eve and New Year's, respectively. And despite the fact that I have no family or friends, we are going to be taking a brief hiatus. But don't worry, we will be back. with a bad batch of episodes. Hey, look forward to 20205.
Starting point is 00:01:34 We'll start off strong with probably at least three. It's Revenge of the Fifth. Ah, look at that. But seriously, enjoy your time with your family, your friends, and, you know, maybe binge a couple videos of ours. Just to help the algorithm. Just to help the algorithm. That's the gift that keeps on giving. well gang episode four is under our collective many pirate belts sir i have a belt
Starting point is 00:02:10 Miguel what did you think sir you know this series continues to be just like a jolt of magic and wonder and i feel like it it is able to do a whole lot more with a whole lot less than some of the other series. This episode, I felt, was the weakest. Which is a bummer given the directors. It's the, you know, given that you had the Daniels on this, it did not especially feel like anybody in particular directed it, which, you know, I'm happy for them to, you know, get paid to, you know,
Starting point is 00:02:51 the next go off and do some other craziness that they want to do. But I feel like the most, like there were some nice visuals and things like that. And I think the most distinct of those flavors was all the locked off stuff towards the end on SM 33. But yeah, I would say this is the most kind of transitory episode. It feels like this episode would probably get better when we see the second half of it. Like this feels like the first half of two parts almost. Yeah, I felt like this, like I love the concept of there's all these planets that are, relatively speaking, carbon copies of each other. it was a really kind of fun setup that left you guessing
Starting point is 00:03:28 but was just like very very very rushed I mean we we were exposed to like two warring factions had the whole stuff going on and then it just was done yeah and we only really saw one of them yeah we really only genuinely saw one of them everything else was done with yeah you know it's off screen
Starting point is 00:03:52 it's by judea it's funny because ironically like I wouldn't describe this as a filler episode by virtue of like what they set up and how they did it but it was filler it does it's weird it certainly serves a function but it does feel of like less consequence in a show that already feels in again as we've established in what I think is a good way sort of separated and and sort of of less immediate earth shattering consequence to the rest of the continuity and stuff like that so to have you know yeah a less of consequence within a less of consequence is kind of an odd an odd prospect and certainly i mean i i don't i wouldn't heap
Starting point is 00:04:35 that on the daniels at all i feel like you know it's it's got to do with how the series is mapped out over the episodes and writing and this was the first episode that felt very i was aware of the map you know like oh okay the purpose of this episode is for them to uncover the mystery that SM33 is holding on to this information and we have to go on this little mini adventure
Starting point is 00:05:02 in order to get there. And the mini adventure, I thought, was really cool. I would have liked to have spent another episode on this planet, really take our time with it, and have it feel a little bit more real. But that being said, like, I loved what I experienced. I, you know, like, I'm not even
Starting point is 00:05:21 don't take this as me complaining because I'm not. I had a great time. I think it's just this show suffers from the challenge of I like it and therefore I'm beginning to hold it to higher expectations. Yeah, absolutely. I would agree with that. It's like it's in isolation. I liked a lot of the moments. I liked the details they introduced and I really like the idea that yeah, you have, it's like we started off the series in, you know, tracked houses of a suburb, you know, of just like, you know, these cookie cutter neighborhoods that all kind of look the same and then you've discovered
Starting point is 00:05:54 that you have like a constellation of planets that kind of embody that as well and, yeah, are these all just different vaults and safes and strongholds for things? And it's like they introduced so many interesting details at the same time as like you said, you can kind of feel the function of the episode and it feels like despite how interesting everything
Starting point is 00:06:13 is anything that happened in this episode is probably not going to be dove into all that deeply or intimately. Yeah, I mean, I, my hunch of, we've now identified several other planets, my assumption is, if I were to do the logical course, because they can't get the information out of SM33, they'll need to travel to one of these other planets to see if they can find the same thing on one of those planets. You know, which kind of sets up like a fun, you know, hey, look at the like the controlled environment of this like same, like, if there's a. sort of interesting social commentary there of like hey it's same set history took it in a different direction here's the many different directions it can go yeah here's a bunch of different iterations of what your planet could be and how lucky you are
Starting point is 00:07:05 to live on maybe the last one that is like an idyllic utopia where you know which is it though which is i think the other interesting thing to play with what lurks what's the sinister beneath the surface of atatin i can't say i remember you at I can't say I remember no, I hadn't. That's a really great line. Reject Nation interrupting this video to tell you that if you are looking for a fun and simple way to get into daily fantasy sports, let me introduce you to prize picks. You may have heard of them before, and that's because they are America's number one. Daily fantasy app with over 5 million active members.
Starting point is 00:07:39 And honestly, it's the easiest one I've ever used. And the only one I've ever been able to figure out how to use. That's how easy it is. All you do is pick more or less on player stat projections, like how many yards your favorite quarterback will throw, or how many points a star player will score. You can pick between two and six players and if you get them right, you win! Now, if you've never tried fantasy sports before,
Starting point is 00:07:56 you might be thinking, is this really for me? Well, I'll tell you, price picks makes it ridiculously easy to jump in. You don't need to be a sports expert or spend hours researching, boring. Quick, fun, lets you engage with games in a totally new way. Think of it like a game with a game.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Almost like an inception kind of thing. Something to make watching sports even more exciting. Plus, with their injury insurance and flex play options, prize picks takes the pressure off. So you're never completely out of the game. I'll also add that, You tried other fantasy apps before. Here's why PricePix is better.
Starting point is 00:08:22 You can now win up to 1,000 times your cash with just six correct picks. No other app makes it easy to build lineups and keep playing even if the player is injured. Price Picks puts their members first with fast, secure payouts, sometimes in as little as 15 minutes. Only platform that combines simplicity, flexibility, and great rewards like this. It's available in most states, including California, Texas, and Georgia. Download the Price Fix app today. Use code Rejects and get $50 instantly when you play just $5. Starting point is 00:08:50 Wow, it's like the best boss ever. So what are you waiting for? Price Fix, run your game. Thank you for sponsoring this video. It is. It is. It's perfectly pirity, and it's something that, like, it makes sense that the machine would repeat it a few times, but I think they, that was something very gratifying.
Starting point is 00:09:07 It's like, especially as of this episode starts to click, like, oh, that, it must be more to that than it seems. And, like, little things like that, I think are really nice flourishes. I like stuff like that. I liked, you know, the supporting characters they had here, you know, the girl who Neal is sort of bonding with and, you know, these French soldiers. Yeah, same. I mean, I feel like whatever happens next episode will have to segue out of this. So, I mean, as much as it seems like where she leaves off suggests that, you know, she would stay here and keep true to that.
Starting point is 00:09:37 That's true. Like the battle could go on, her dad, and everyone dies. And then she's like, can I come with you? Sorry, she's not British. Well, here in America. May I come with you? I want to go to space Paris. She catches up to them in her little speeder bike with a basket on the front and a baguette in it
Starting point is 00:09:57 while smoking a cigarette and wearing a beret and one of those horizontally striped shirts. And E.T. is in the front. That's right. It's just all the things. All the things. Well, I had fun. Did you have fun? I did have fun. I think that's all that counts. Neil got great moments.
Starting point is 00:10:12 It was a great episode for Neil. And I felt like his character needed that. It's such a weird. It's a weird one because it's like, yeah, in the grander scheme of the, you know, progression of the episodes, it feels like all the things we've said. And yet, there are so many individual elements and details and flourishes that I really liked. Yeah. So it's weird. It's like it was pleasant and I, yeah, and the artistry on display was nice.
Starting point is 00:10:38 But, yeah, I hope next week and the rest of what these eight episodes will be more substantial. There's eight more episodes? It's eight episodes total. Oh, thank God. I mean, not thank God, but I just, I didn't mean, like, obviously I'd love more content. They've decided to make this the longest series, more Star Wars. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm kind of tired of hearing your opinions.
Starting point is 00:11:01 What do you think, Reject Nation? Yes, what do you guys think? Leave us your comments down below it. And what would be your ideal Daniel's Star Wars story? I hope they do something else in this universe. that allows them to really play more. The Acolyte Season 2? I hope they direct the whole thing of the Acolyte Season 2.
Starting point is 00:11:20 What? And there's a farting skateboard corpse that they can ride around. I mean, is there any way else to transport? No. Not that I ever want to be involved with. Also, just in case you weren't here at the beginning of the video, we will be back in a little while because the next two episodes debut on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Starting point is 00:11:40 And, hey, as much as we do love only work, working all the time. We are being forced to take some time for friends, family, and otherwise during those periods. So it'll be a bit of a gap before we return with like a glut, a massive glut. I have no friends or family. All right. Well, then I'm canceling my holiday plans. And we will just wait here for the next episode.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I mean, I could solo it. Oh, a Star Wars story. I love you. I know. He got to say he's flying solo. That's why his name is Han Solo. Oh, I'm so good at my job. Your name is Han.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Are you traveling in with anybody? No. Solo, eh? Oh, God. I haven't felt this good about myself since watching the holiday special. Me too. Guys, leave us your thoughts and we'll catch you at some point soon. Happy holidays.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Actually, happy life day, everybody. Happy life day. That's why they keep putting the holiday. Dude, next week, it's just going to be a rerun of the holiday special. Could you imagine? They're just all going to see. sit down. The soldiers are going to put their guns down. Everyone's just going to sit
Starting point is 00:12:48 and watch the holiday special. Chewy's son. Yeah. And wife. And grandmother. Oh, my lord. It's so good. Oh, God. All right. We love you. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
