He's clearly from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so everyone's like, hey, fuck you, pig.
Hey, fuck you.
Yep.
That's my, what do you think?
It's good.
I like this new character you've developed.
Ah, I suck my dick.
It's Milwaukee, Dylan.
Sure.
Eh, hey.
Vaguely Italian.
Ah, oh.
Vigley Italian, but not proper Italian.
No, just vaguely.
No, it's a bulleted of America one.
Exactly.
Like most.
American universities.
We're Italian.
I was born in the American.
What do you want?
I'm Italian.
No, you're not.
You grilled in Baltimore.
This is how they speak in Italian.
Yeah, that's what they do.
Everybody is all this spaghetti.
Like, you don't sign...
I'm not being beat Italian.
Hi, everybody.
Welcome to the Smart Avengers.
My name is Corey.
And with me is Dylan.
And John, how's it going, fellas?
Hello.
Yeah, no bad.
So, do I like eating pizza?
Do I like eating pizza?
Of course they do.
Who doesn't enjoy eating a good pizza?
We have had pizza discussions before.
Isn't there a local pizza place that you really like?
Yeah, Floyd pizza.
Yeah, cloud pizza.
You say clown pizza?
Blight, L-O-U-T.
Oh, I say clown pizza.
I went, Dill that sounds so out.
Why would I go to clown pizza?
You open up the box and confetti spots out of you.
Yeah, it's the pizza's ruined because it's a little bits of paper in it now.
You go back to the guy, like, I want a refund.
He's like, yeah, no.
No worries.
Just like look into my flower real quick.
And I go, all right.
You know, I need to go, right.
You know, I need to gore to water.
Like, ah, it's not a refund at all.
You got me again.
Every time.
I should stop going.
Well, I was talking to John a little bit ago, Dylan.
I'm not sure if you heard this, but it has occurred to me that beginning next week,
we will begin our October theme month, which I think we've decided it's going to be all
goblins. Every week we're going to talk about different goblin.
Ish. Yeah.
There'll be some bending of the rules.
Some goblins can stand on their own and some goblins we might have to combine and make
work, but we will make them work.
I understand where you're coming from.
So we have our month of goblins coming up.
But before then, I think we have actually talked about Spider-Man in some capacity for
about a month already. So we're going to be looking at two months worth of Spider-Man
related content.
Yes.
And, you know, I'm not necessarily mad about it, but I think it would be a great way to get us into this mindset of talking about these various goblin personas would be if we decided to make the official Smart Avengers Spider-Man villain tier list.
What a great idea.
Makes sense to me.
Yeah.
So, you know, how this works, we have 25 different villains.
I put this together the other day.
I think I nailed all of the big heavy hitters of them and then threw in a couple oddballs.
but I don't think there's anyone missing,
but if there is, you guys will let me know
if I miss someone very apparent.
But that being said,
we'll head over into the tier Ranker
and kind of take it from there.
Hooray.
All right.
It's the official, Smart Avengers,
Spider-Man, villain, Raker, tier list maker.
Catchy title, as always.
So this is a public list.
If you would like to do this yourself,
by all mean, just go to tiermaker.com.
And I think if you just look up for Spark Avengers,
you'll find this one and our X-Men one
that we made earlier.
Both of our X-Men ones we made
because I think we made
an X-Men heroes and a villains list.
Anyway, we have 25 villains
and we were going to be ranking them
S-tier, A, tier, B, tier, C-tier, and
D-tier.
Any questions before we get started?
I don't think so.
No, I think we know the deal.
All right, I'm going to probably lean
heavily on you guys because you're going to be way more
familiar with a lot of these folks than I am.
I only have a lot of passing glances
and maybe just knowledge of animated series
versions of these characters.
But we're going to start off with one of your favorites.
It is the Roderick Kingsley version of the Hobgoblin.
Yes.
So where do you guys think that Roderick Kingsley's Hobgoblin fits on this tier?
S tier.
I mean, in my heart, I would say S tier.
I think in my head, I would put him A tier, probably.
I just because...
Yeah, I would agree.
I think he's, when he first debuted, it was great and it felt like an impactful storyline.
Even like in the mid-nighties when like Roderick Kingsley's identity was revealed and he had his like clashes with Norman Osborne as well, great stuff.
But then kind of since then, he hasn't really had as many juicy storylines to kind of sink his teeth into.
So as good as he is, I would put A.
I agree with John, really.
Like, obviously, I would love to put him in a tier.
I think realistically, he probably is A tier.
So the question I have for you guys real quick, though, on it,
why do you think that no one has ever gone with a hobgoblin adaptation for the Spider-Man movies?
Like, he's never been a villain.
I think the Green Goblin is just a much more appealing option.
Yeah, the personal aspect of it, what would be in the dad of Peter's best friend, even though they don't have a Harry Osborne in the current MCU, like, I mean, even still, like if you do Green Goblin, there's more kind of material to mine there.
But also, I feel like if you're doing Hobgoblin, you have to do Green Goblin first, because the gimmick is that the Hobgoblin has,
stolen the Green Goblins equipment.
The equipment exists.
The Goblin exists.
The animated series proved that you didn't
have to do it that way around.
I like the way they
introduced the Hobgoblin first there
and then
Norman kind of had his own
issues and, you know,
went off the reservation and
decided to become a goblin as well.
Well, it looks like fun, doesn't it?
Flying an enemy goblin thing.
Absolutely.
throwing pumpkins like that's cool yeah you get to laugh all the time right i think being a goblin
be pretty cool when you think about it yeah yeah yeah i'd be it for that all right well cori
yes a way to make us uh goblins is that all right can we like get me and john to drink the goblin serum
and then become goblins is that all right sure would you like to become a goblin i always like
Jackalander a little bit better.
Okay.
You don't have to find your own serum then, because we'll have the
goblin serum. Yeah, I don't think Jackaliner had a
serum. I don't know what he had.
Spice pumpkin latte.
Sounds lovely, actually.
He would be drinking his own head? Come on.
No, he wouldn't do that. Listen, we would never do that.
Well, there's no pumpkin and pumpkin spice latte.
It's not eating that because of these same spices they put in pumpkin pie.
Oh, so the spices are the pumpkin spices, but they're not, it's not pumpkin flake.
It's not any gourd in there. It's just nutmeg sitting in and sugar.
I've never had pumpkin spice latte, so I wouldn't know.
Same.
Yeah, you're missing out. It's the only flavored coffee thing I'll ever drink.
I don't think we are missing I.
That's fair. You don't have to like it.
Anyway, drink it.
Let's move back over to our tier list and our next on the list is,
is Dr. Octopus, Otto Octavius.
It's got to be asked here.
Yeah, no arguments there.
Easy.
Like, that's like, I think if people are talking about, like, Spider-Man is, like, major, like, arch enemies, it's either the Green Goblin or it's Dr. Octopus.
So, question for you regarding Dr. Octopus.
What is it about him that makes him such an iconic Spider-Man villain?
Like, what makes him stand out amongst the rest?
I think because he's just a dude.
Like, he's just a really smart dude.
If you think about Peter Parker, he was a smart dude that, like,
used his smarts to, like, build his webbing and then, like, you know,
spider tracers and go out and, like, do good stuff.
On the flip side, you have Dr. Octopus that's kind of...
If Peter Parker is supposed to be, like, the everyman kind of nerd,
Dr. Octopus is, like, he's very relieved.
because he's a guy that got bullied because of the way he looked at the stupid bull cut haircut he's not athletic he's not a super part at all he's very intelligent he's the kind of guy that would obviously have got picked on and he used his smarts for evil as it were as opposed to peter parker he used his for good and it's a wonderful kind of juxtaposition between peter parker and dr octobus i think okay john i would agree with that
I would also say as well, obviously he's just had like loads of incredible storylines as well.
Like being one of the founding members of the Sinister Six and then like the whole deal where, you know, he's taken too many blows to the head and he's dying.
And so he like transfers his mind into Peter's body and takes over to prove that he can be the superior Spider-Man.
Like, there's so many good Dr. Octopus stories out there because he's such a versatile character.
The buildup to, like, you know, Spider-Man 700 was Dr. Octopus, like, he's going to die and he's like, I got to do something.
He was like he wanted to leave a, like, a legacy behind.
He wanted to do something.
Mm-hmm.
Like a long, a long trail of Dr. Octopus, like, desperately trying to do something.
and that was quite fun to read as well
you know
this man like so desperate to like do something
in his life because he knows
the gloves were off
yes there was a real like
there was a real evilness
to it that I feel like you didn't always
get the Spider-Man villain I think we're going to find out
that a lot of Spider-Man villains
ear more on the comical side
as opposed to the
more deadly side but I think that
once we look at
who is rank
ranked S and who is ranked D, the ones that are ranked S and A are the ones that are the more deadly, the more like, um, visceral and emotional.
You know, like a doctor octopus has spent a long time hating Spider-Man.
That's going to come out in a lot of ways, you know.
But also he tried that Marriott May.
Like, what a fucking, what a baller, you know.
Well, you mentioned the gloves coming off.
Well, the gloves are going back on because we're going to talk about the shocker next.
Where do you put the shocker, Herman Schultz?
As here.
I don't know.
I feel like realistically, see is probably a good one.
Yeah, I was going to say maybe like this is where we kind of figure out, like, how are you, like, what's,
your decision making based on? Is it like their goals? Is it their success rate? Is it their
sort of status in the public conscious? Like what what's going in your mindset when you're
thinking of like how am I going to put this guy on this list? It's tough because I think it's
normally like holly the writer treats that character. And a lot of the time I have seen the
shocker being treated as a kind of a joke. Yeah. Sometimes there have been like times where you've
seen the shocker and he's kind of like legit
and he's like, oh, this is fun.
I like that. But
the times that that has happened
versus the times where he's just been labeled
as the guy with the quilt
is, you know, it's
a little bit disproportionate.
He's not like, he's not
detier by any stretch of the imagination.
But it's also one of the things
were like, Corey, if you
put it like this, if
Spider-Man gets an alert that
something bad's happening in downtown
New York.
He flies over to see what it is.
And the person he finds causing havoc in the middle of the street,
is he going to be shocked?
Is he going to be like,
I'm fucked?
Or is he going to be like,
that guy's wearing a quilt?
You know?
Yeah.
You can kind of like tell the level by how he Spider-Man reacts to that guy.
Okay.
As much as we love the shocker on the show,
and we do.
He doesn't love the shocker.
He kind of feel like he's like,
he's he's like C tier and also the way they pray him he's kind of like a henchman or like a bank robber or yeah
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah whittleton you know even though i loved him in the tv show the animated show he was
amazing but you know so C tier for shocker another character who uh had a kind of a larger presence
than you would expect on the animated series is the chameleon uh where which put the chameleon
I would say B tier.
I was thinking that as well.
Okay.
I think because there's like history there.
He was Spider-Man's very first villain,
which counts for something.
Then he's got like some pretty cool powers as well,
being able to kind of,
like originally he was, you know,
putting on masks and stuff,
but I believe his powers have changed now
so he can...
Says the face.
You know, yeah.
And that's a pretty good gimmick to have.
He's really good in that he's a kind of like very low, like, street level kind of villain for Spider-Mond of face.
And that he's not...
He's not like a physical threat to him at all.
Yes.
But he's definitely like a psychological threat.
Because you don't know what he's going to be.
You know what I mean?
Because if the chameleon is just...
dressed as like a regular guy
that's not going to send
Spider-Man's Spider-Sense off
because he's not doing nothing wrong
he's just walking around
as a normal guy. Do you mean?
Yeah.
I think the chameleon, like it's
tough to put him any higher than
B, I think, because
a lot of the time the chameleon just
ends up B, like he, it always starts
well, the chameleon.
It never ends well.
And the one bit I always remember
is at some point in the 90s
they had this lovely
storyline with the chameleon
going to like
Ravencroft and
doing therapy and stuff
but he escapes and
he finds out, well he goes to Peter Parker's house
I don't know if he finds out who Peter Parker is
but he goes to Peter Parker's house
and then Mary Jane beats him up with a baseball bat
and you're like, okay, that's gonna be
tough to walk back from you know
know. That was, by the way, for anybody who's watching this in 2026, that was back in the day,
before Mary Jean had the powers of some sort of, you know, gooey super god like Venom.
So she used to just be a woman, you know?
Oh, there you go. There you go.
Well, up next is another friend of the show. It's MacDonald Gargan of the Scorpion.
I mean, like C-tier, probably, right?
I don't know
I would possibly go be
because I think
his like
you know origin story is pretty cool
with being like
a J Jonah Jameson creation
basically like he funded
the
like experiments to turn
McDonald Gagan into the scorpion
so
and then
I guess like
the whole kind of
becoming venom part of it
as well yeah I was going to say he's like
he's a dark avenger he's done some stuff
doesn't the venom thing seem like they were
trying to make him a big deal though
like that was a real like we're gonna push this guy
against triple EH like that kind of deal like
they're yeah yeah
I will they were very non-committal to it
I mean it definitely he never felt like he was as big a deal
as Eddie Brock but I mean he still was
big enough that he was a featured part of Warren Ellis' Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers.
Yeah, they had that symbiote for a good couple years as well.
Quite a while.
Yeah, he was Venom for like a long time.
So like if you look at the tier list,
technically, like the Scorpion McDonnell Gargan has a much better intro storyline than the Scorpion does.
And he has, or then the Shocker does.
And he has had some really good like storylines.
over the years, but quite like, um, the hobgoblin.
Like, he's just fallen off in the last 15 years, 20 years.
So I, I would say, let's stick him in a B for an eye.
Yeah, let's do that.
Okay.
All right.
Well, up next is another favorite of one of us.
It is Hydro Man.
I mean, I think we all know where he's going to go.
Not Esty.
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Hang on.
I think you caught out for a little bit.
I heard S here, for sure.
You haven't heard S here.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think.
Okay.
Here's the conversation we all need to have.
Is Hydromand worse than the shocker?
Oh.
I mean.
I mean, like, realistically, yet probably, right?
I don't know.
I think, like, his power set should make him better than the shocker,
but everything else about him is worse, so.
I agree.
But again, I think if you look at the way that he's portrayed by the writers,
he has a cruel power set, and they never use it,
except when they mean it's a bad man, but Saman,
He never doing it from women
He's always like a joke character
So like as much as I would absolutely love
To put him an S tier
Which is what he deserves
Because he's
Mead of Water, he's cool
I feel like we're probably talking
I want to say C tier
I don't want to D tier him yet
No I would agree with that
Okay
All right
I feel like D tier might come up later
I'm going to say C tier
for an eye.
All right, John, what do you think?
See?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
See as well.
He's cool.
Everybody loves him.
All right.
Now we have a guy who showed up recently in Spider-Man brand new day.
It's Tombstone.
I personally would say B-tier.
Mm-hmm.
I would say B-tier.
I would agree with that.
I think I originally would have, you know, said C-tier, like, given a few.
years ago but I think
they've done some interesting things with him
in the comics he's obviously been
like
utilized in
the Spiderverse movies
as well
so I think like they've done some good work
recently to kind of
make Tombstone a bigger deal
again and make him feel like more
of a threat so yeah I'm
more than happy with him being B tier
I think that's totally fair
honestly
I agree with that.
Fair enough.
So up next, we have Venom, Eddie Brock.
See, this is tricky because a lot of people, I would say, would put him an S-tier.
But for me, because of, I don't know if you guys know this,
but I have a couple of issues with the symbiotes.
So I've been keeping on the down low.
Honestly, like, I would put venom in A tier.
I would put him ahead of Hobgoblin,
but I would put
Batman 8 tier
person
I feel like
while he started off
as a really good
Spider-Man villain
I think if you look at him
now
that he's a shadow
what he used to be
he's like
and not just now
but like
the last 20 years
ish
maybe longer than that
he's just not been
a really cool
interesting
viable Spider-Man villain
at all
I would say
he's still pretty
popular
and still pretty
valid
so I would say
a tier
I don't think I can put him an ass tier.
Yeah.
I'm kind of lean in the same way as well.
Interesting.
Because like those 90s comics when they came out and like Venom was introduced and everything,
he was great.
And it felt so fresh and new and like a genuine threat to Spider-Man.
But like Dylan said, like the last 20 years or so, it's,
it's.
It's going a different direction.
He's getting a symbion suit back in October, I think.
So he might have an opportunity to win you back over.
Yeah, but who cares, right?
Like, he's already given the symbiote up to McDonald's Gargan
and then some fucking guy and then that criminal,
and then Plash Thompson and then Murray Jane.
So it's hard to take venom too seriously, whatever.
That's the chain of command.
You know what I mean?
All right.
And plus he hasn't really did.
Spider-Man villain in ages as well.
Huh?
He hasn't really been a Spider-Man villain in ages as well,
because he's just,
he's been pushed into, like, being a good guy.
All the cosmic shit as well.
Like, he's not really fighting Spider-Man.
He's just, like, doing something else.
Yeah.
You know?
You could bump him down to be.
I think, I think it's perfectly.
Yeah, yeah.
All right. Well, up next, we have Mysterio.
Master of illusion.
I would say A tier as well.
Yeah.
I'm kind of...
I think...
Sorry to cut you off, John.
I think it's either A tier or like a high B tier
because I would see Mysterio chameleon
is very similar,
and that they're very tricksy,
they're very kind of street level.
They're very fun in what they do,
but once they get to find out,
that's the end of the game for them.
So I would say either a low A or a high B.
Yeah, I think I agree, though, because I think he's, he's probably better than
chameleon, more of a threat than chameleon as well.
Yeah.
So I would say A is probably fair, to be fun, to be honest.
Okay.
We could put him like low A for an eye and then.
Yeah, what we can do is we're going going through these pretty quick because there's not a lot of
debate between the two of you.
We can go through and organize the.
folks into proper order if we have time what i like it with this is me and john i'll be in spider-man
like the fans are very clearly like on the same page and cori's just like oh i see like i knew i was not
going to be part of this one but you can be you can like tell us what you think about these guys
what do you think about how do you know i mean i just know of the like i said i'm not a big spider-man
reader so my knowledge of them is the 90s animated series which is why certain characters are on this list that
may not be on other people's list.
I was going to say, there's definitely a couple of people on this list that I'm like,
that's an interesting choice.
Yep.
That's how to I make the list.
All right.
Well, like, from what you know about Spider-Man villains, if you looked at that list,
the way we have it now, which I think is pretty accurate.
What would you agree with this so far?
I mean, I'm not seeing anything that seems out of the ordinary.
I mean, there's nothing here that's like surprisingly stunning.
I'm surprised that Hyderman is.
a C and not a D, but, you know, that's...
Hey.
Either here or there.
You better watch your wife, kids.
You watch the TV show.
He was great in that.
He was in two episodes.
He was in more than that, wasn't he?
I think he was only in two.
There was his introduction episode,
and there was the episode where there was, like,
the clone of Mary Jane that was a water person.
Right.
Wasn't he integral in that?
Really important.
Well, I mean, it was two episodes, though.
That's what I'm saying.
It was an important episode.
Anyway, let's get back.
to our list and up next we have a character who's
sort of infamous for maybe some of the wrong reasons
it's the jackal
this is tough
because
it's probably going to be the same
being as me
once again because
the jackal like historically
has been an incredibly
influential villain
on what's going on with Spider-Man
and his history
so
realistically he should be like pretty
high up, but also like as a villain, just like as a guy, he's just, when you think about it,
you look at the jackal, he's like, he's done all this stuff, he's like influential and a lot
of stuff that Spider-Man is, it is Spider-Man's history, but then you look at the jackal and he's just
like some fucking college professor who's dressed up as a jackal. And also, that's not what jackals
look like.
That's not what jackal is. So I think that, I mean, later on,
Ron, they implicated it
that he did, like, do some sort
of, like, surgical
um, experimentations on
himself to make him stronger and
to be actually of Jackal and not
Miles Warren.
Yeah, they've been really vague about that, though.
Like, there's, there's not, like, a strict continuity
about whether it's a costume or if he's mutated
himself or what, so.
And a lot of that stuff, unfortunately,
during the clone saga has been so vague
and so retconned and so like what's going on
but like because of the impact he's had on
Spider-Man he should be pretty high
but I feel like we're probably going to say
somewhere in B-tier
because
what do you think?
Like it's either B-tier or like a low A
I know
I don't want to put him in A tier
because even though
even though he has had like so many significant
storylines and being like such a major thorn in
Peter Parker's side over the years.
I just don't like the character.
And like when the clones show up as well,
I just, I'm not particularly fussed about all that stuff.
Okay.
But it is R2.
Well, here's the thing.
I actually am a fan of the character.
And whenever they did, I think it was Spider Island.
I really liked the way he was written in that
that was a lot of fun
because he did
he had this kind of like deranged
kind of tone to him
but it's it's tough man
the jackals one of those things were like
if you bring it back the gimmick is
clones right that's it
yeah and I think that his peak was in the 90s
and they muddled that up significantly
so
I would say
like impact-wise
what he did with Spider-Man
you're probably talking like a high B
I don't know if he can put him in A man
Okay
I think we'll stick with B
Yeah
I think B is fair
I think he's definitely had
He's definitely had a McDonald Gargan
Yeah
I'll say that
We have the time
We'll sort through the list
And you put them in order
You feel as appropriate
Okay
All right
So up next though
We have our second hobgoblin
Where actually I don't really know
where he falls in the chain of command of hobgoblins,
but is Jason McIndale.
Okay.
So you picked, this is what I was confused about
because this appears to be a picture of Dima Goblin.
Yeah, yeah.
No.
Doesn't Dima Goblin have a black hood?
No.
Dima Goblin was a black hood.
Dima Goblin has a guy.
When I looked up Jason McIndale,
Hobgoblin, this was one of the first images that came up.
So, Jason McIndale was the hobgoblin
that looks very similar to Roblob.
Carter Kingsley.
Yes.
And he, like,
deal with the devil,
or we deal with a demon.
Yeah.
So this is the deal of the demon picture.
Yes.
Because I was trying to find something
in the shade of the two.
But then they separated
Demogoblin and Hobgoblin.
So Demoglain became its own character
that looked like that as well.
So we,
I think we're wondering,
is that Demo Goblin as a separate entity?
Or is that McIndale as a hobgoblin?
Because later on,
Macandale got a lot of,
of um cybernetic upgrades that made him look very different from the way everything i'm seeing
regarding this image is that this is mackendale okay i mean that might happen it might happen but like
the demon goblin looked exactly like that so um i think if you're talking about mackendale
as the hobgoblin you're talking about a cheap imitation of the hobgoblin so you're probably
talking either really low B or really high C.
I would say high C.
Yeah, I would say above the shocker.
But I don't, I, it's, it was never taken that seriously.
No.
Yeah, I think that's pretty fair.
Fair enough.
All right.
Well, um, next though, we have the Sandman, Flint Marco.
Yes.
There is a guy.
had a lot of potential
and was a lot of fun
great for comics
fun to draw
but then he became a good guy
and then he became a bad guy again
and then he was kind of good
and then they kind of mixed the waters
I would say like a like a high
B
because he's a very popular
and recognizable
Spider-Man villain
but A he wasn't always
a Spider-Man villain and B
he hasn't always been around that much
like a lot of these other guys have been
around and they keep turning up
whereas the Sandman doesn't always turn
up that often anymore
I spent time
as a fantastic four villain
as well as part of the frightful
for and like you say
I think he was like a reserve member
of the Avengers at one point
during his good period
yeah
who got him who got him
did I get him? He might have
I don't think he got him
I'm going to say this.
But anyway, that being said,
what area are you putting Sandman in?
I would say B.
Yeah, I would stick with B as well.
Okay.
All right, well, up next, we have Hammerhead.
Okay.
Like, personally, I fucking love Hammerhead.
I think he's a great character.
He's so stupid.
He's a guy that, like, got bonked on the head
and then saw a poster for, like,
1930s
gangster film and then
just fought like that forever
I'm like what the fuck
what are you talking about
so I have a real
soft spot for Hammerhead
but I also have a very soft spot
for Hyderman
we saw how that worked out
so like
again if you're looking at the writers
and the way they portray
the characters
nobody writes Hammerhead really well
like he's got to be C tier
surely
yeah I think that's fair as well
like he's
got a cool gimmick
but he hasn't really
done anything that significant
as a villain
not to Spider-Man anyway
he's never been a big deal for Spider-Man
to take care of anyway
he's never been shit right
he's never been like
oh Hammerhead door
but he's also never done
anything like
for example if we're talking about like
the street level
gangster kind of characters
Tombstone would be a step ahead of
Hammerhead. Yeah yeah
that's fair. Okay
Up next we have the tarantula
I mean this has
gotta be our first D list
surely
possibly
our only D list
well
actually maybe not
having a look at somebody else on that list might also make it the D list.
I would have said low C because he had some sort of like credibility to him.
He was like a villain in like South America.
And then he came up to the United States.
And he came back a couple of times.
He's been a bit of like a thorn in the side for Spider-Man.
I would have said I mean I'm not a million miles away.
I would have said low C or D.
So I feel like,
I don't give a shit enough about the Dracula to argue that he's better than D.
So that's fine.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's fine.
Well, another character from another country, we have Craven the Hunter.
This is also really interesting because Craven the Hunter is notorious for one storyline.
It's, it's...
A great storyline, though.
Great storyline, and it's one of the most famous...
Spider-Man storylines, I would say, right?
Outside of that, everything about the Craven Hunter is kind of muddled and not great.
So obviously Craven's last hunt is fantastic.
But when he started, when he arrived, he was just a fucking guy trying to shoot Spider-Man
with Tranquilizer darts.
And then after Craven's Last Hunt, because I don't want to spoil things for a 40-year-old storyline.
Raven's last hunt is supposed to be his last hunt
because he shoots himself in the head.
And since then,
we have read stories where Craven has come back to life
from voodoo or from like resurrection things, whatever.
He's come back to life.
He's like a haps bird or he's dead or he's not dead or whatever.
It's really diminished a lot of the Craven the hunter character.
And I think that's done a disservice to him.
I think because of that,
like, if they stopped it at Craven's last time,
it would be like an easy A tier.
But I think because he's kept going and they just, like, ruined him,
I would say you're talking like a B tier.
What I don't like about Raven,
I mean, it's worth pointing out,
he did stay dead for like 20 years after that storyline.
but then they basically replaced him with, I think, two different sons who both looked exactly the same as him
and had the same, like, voice and characteristics and everything.
So it's just like, oh, okay.
Do you what I love with that, like, quick, was that they brought, like, his first son in.
I think it was a grim hunter, wasn't it?
The first son was a grim hunter?
And then they killed him, like, really quickly.
Like, well, what the fuck was the point?
and then the second one
had a longer inning
and you're like, well this is great
if you make the son of Craven the Hunter
then you Craven the Hunter
but then they killed him as well
and you're like what then
what the point right?
Yeah
it's a shame
so where are you leaning for Craven
I think me
I think
I think I
could make an argument
for A but I
think he is probably fair considering, you know, like they had the big storyline to kill him off.
They finally brought him back 20 years later.
They haven't really done a whole lot with him.
They, I think they basically, they basically killed him off again and replaced him with a clone of himself.
Who was like, I don't know, it feels like he's just been watered down too many times to,
like to really be an A tier list
Vivian.
They've beasted him.
Yeah.
They beat him. Absolutely.
I agree with John 100%.
Like I think that like
the potential to be A tier was definitely there.
But they
the more they bring him back and like the more they kind of like muddy
his waters like it's I would say it's a high B
later on.
But like it's a B.
Okay.
Yeah.
Up next, his name doesn't start with B, it starts with C, it's Carnage.
Not all the segues are good, okay?
Uh-oh.
I mean, I want to put him in A as well with Venom.
But again, I think of it, like, it's tough because Venom and Carnage both came in,
and they were both immediately, like, a big deal.
Both of them were like, this is, like, serious shit.
You've got to pay attention to this.
and I think now
the time has passed
again same with Venom the last
20 years we haven't had a good Carnage storyline
and that's a shame because
the potential is still there
at least
Carnage hasn't shared his symbiote with as many
people as Venom has
but even then you're like well
at least that keeps Venom
kind of relevant and like
in comics I would say
like a low A honestly
and I know I'm very biased
towards carnage and I would love to put him in C or an S here but I would say like a low A I would put
him below venom and I think everybody would agree with that so yeah carnage is a it's a low A so we're
gonna put carnage in a yeah you agree with that John I'm not gonna argue with that yeah because
I think like you say I think venom and carnage both have had the same sort of issue where
they've kind of grown beyond the Spider-Man world.
So while they may have started out as really significant Spider-Man villains,
they kind of haven't been for a good while now.
So, you know.
What's fun about that, though, when you say there used to be very significant Spider-Man villains,
they've now turned into very insignificant other people villains.
That's interesting.
You know what I mean?
Like, now, like, if they come up against, like, the Avengers or whatever,
they're not that scared of them, but Spider-Man was because he's just one guy.
That's an interesting tip.
Yeah.
We should write for Spider-Man.
We should.
Who do we talk to?
Who's the new editor-in-chief, Steve Wacker?
Yes.
What's his email?
Yeah, there we go.
I got some idea.
We'll find out.
All right, so up next we have our third goblin.
This time, it is Harry Osborne, Green Glock.
I think that John will agree that Harry Osborne is at the very least the second most interesting green goblin.
Yes.
And I think that what they did with Harry Osborne as Green Goblin was great.
Like really good, really solid.
And it's important that they did that.
Again, I feel like recently the waters have been a little muddy.
but I think that original storyline
again if you go with like same McCraven
if you look at that original storyline you're like that's a great
what a wonderful storyline
that was I'm going to say
I don't know if this is controversial I'm going to say
a tier
like a low A
I'm going to say a low A
because I feel like it was
if you look at Spider-Man
and his relationship to
other people and his
whole like
like being
his best
friend being the successor to his arch enemy is a big storyline.
Yeah.
That's huge.
I would say like a, I would say A tier somewhere.
I would put him like, I mean, I was leaning between A and B, but yeah, I kind of agree
with what they didn't say.
And like the fact that they have that history, uh, like personal history, Peter and
Harry.
And then just like the significance of like the.
stuff that Harry would do as well.
Like he tried crashing the wedding between Peter and Mary Jane.
He was the one responsible for, you know, I believe it was the comedian.
Like he hired him to kind of create the robots which showed up on Peter's door,
looking like his parents and did all that just to fuck with him from beyond the grave.
It's like, yeah, Harry did some stuff.
as a villain, which needs to be recognized.
Yes, there was,
there was a lot of fun stuff that he did,
and I feel like Nick Spencer
tried to
fix a lot of problems
with the very messy
Osborne timeline,
including the fact that they brought
Harry Osborne back after a brand new day
for no reason.
So like, God bless me, tried to fix that.
Because that was a real sticking point
for me. I hated
that they brought Harry Osborne back for
no reason.
You can't think of any other cunt
that Peter Parker could talk to.
It has to be
Harry Osborne.
His death was one of those very significant
comic book deaths, you know?
I agree with John and that, like, you can,
there's an argument for A or B tier,
but I think that, like, he edges out of A tier.
Yeah.
Okay.
Up next, we have the Beatle.
This is the most recent Beatle, who is, I believe,
with the daughter of
Tombstone.
Tombstone.
Okay.
If this is the most recent
Beetle, what has the most recent
beetle done other than hang out with Boomerang?
I think she
got into a relationship
with
Robbie Robertson's
son, Randy.
I'm not sure
what that does to
make her a Spider-Man villain, but
you
know.
Well, the
S tier, right?
Of the top.
I mean,
I think we're looking at the next
D tier.
Okay.
I think we're looking at DTier.
I'll be honest to be, dude,
when I first saw this list,
I was like,
we're not going to get any D tiers.
And I've already know,
I know we're going to get at least one more.
So.
All right.
Well, up next,
we have the full.
This is again a very early Spider-Man villain, a really fun Spider-Man villain.
Because again, what I like about the vulture, kind of like Dr. Octopus, is he's a guy that
has this technology, but he's just like an old weird dude.
You know what you mean?
He's just an old weird dude.
I really like that.
There's something quaint about that, you know?
I really like the vulture a lot.
I love, in the
90s he did a storyline where he got young
again and then
he lost it and he
became an old man again which
was at the time
fucking stupid. Like
what do you, how does that work?
But it's like fun to
read a comic. He had like his little vulture squad.
I really like
the vulture a lot. Michael Keaton
in the film. I
am super tempted
to put him an eight tier. I feel like the
vulture as a villain is probably B tier.
I was going to say
I would not go as high as
A as much as I like him.
I think looking
at our B tier list as well
I think he slots in with
that group nicely.
I was going to say if you look at the Sandman
and you look at the vulture, you're like pretty
level pegging.
Pretty fair
enough. Up next we have Dr.
Kurt Conner is the lizard.
I'm kind of
thinking B tier because
again he's
one of these ones who's got that like kind of
personal connection with Peter
which makes him
a more kind of
impactful villain in a way
but then you got
like the whole
Dr. Jack or
Mr. Hyatt kind of
deal with the
Kurt Connors and lizard
personas
um
And yeah, like, I mean, at one point, didn't he eat his own son?
I think he tried to. He did. He tried to. Right?
I thought he did. And then they brought him back as a clone.
Wow.
Him and the wife, but.
Everybody loves clones.
Where would John put the lizard?
I'd say B tier, I think. I think he's above.
shocker
but he's definitely not as high
as you know
hobgoblin or
Harry Osborne
I feel like a
like a
B tier is fair because he's still a very
recognizable villain
but he's never like
that like upper escalon
of like he's a real like
even though he like
has killed any people he's never felt like
he's gonna do like that much damage to you
so I feel like
B-tier, you know,
but one track mine.
Okay.
You know.
Put them into B-tier as well.
So up next to you have,
Alistair Smyth.
Ugh.
I mean,
D-T.
So hang on,
well,
Alistair smith was the son
of Spencer Smyth.
Yes.
Preach of the spider slayers.
Yeah.
So Spenceer-Smyth.
would have been DTR for sure.
Uh-huh.
But Alice is smite.
And again, Corey, you can really tell that you can watch at the show.
Yep.
Alice is smite over like so many other people.
Yep.
Despite the tarantula.
Like, all right, those are...
Well, Trachio wasn't in the cartoon.
I just remembered him very visually.
Yeah.
It's interesting, interesting choices.
I feel like
Alicea Smythe was a much
bigger deal than his
his father
and there were definitely
like storylines where he was a big deal
like he made the spider slayers that like
didn't they kill
um
Martha Jameson
yeah I was gonna say
definitely I'm not sure if a name was Martha as well
because I thought that was
bad man
uh Kurt Conner's
um wife was Martha
Because it's also Batman and Superman's
Mothers and wives or whatever the fuck.
So Martha,
they're big deal in America, Corey.
You gotta sort that out.
Yeah.
Well, I mean,
the comics have done a pretty good job
of killing off most of these Martyrs, though, so.
Not as much an issue anymore.
That is true.
They kill all them.
Fuck me.
They get rid of the Marthas.
But also add more Marthas, you know.
Mark can't just still with us.
Right.
Who?
Is she?
Martha can't.
Yeah, she's still with us.
Not yet.
Give a time.
I'll kill her.
She's no leady.
You know?
Um,
so it's tough.
It's done some good stuff,
but like you can't realistically put him above C tier.
I think John was talking about D tier.
I don't know, man.
It's,
I think the only way you could say he's a C tier is just because of the, you know,
the fact he was all over the animated series
and he was a big part of like, you know,
being the kingpins number two for most of that run
and then, yeah, being turned into like the monstrous version of himself as well.
Like, that's the...
Honestly, that is the most significant thing that's ever happened to him
as a character in any medium.
I think that killing Jibison's...
wife is a big deal.
Where was the follow-up, though?
Correct.
Ah, you're right.
I mean, I don't give any shit about Smyth enough to argue that.
I'm happy to put them in D-tier.
Okay.
We'll put them in D-tier.
All right, up next, we have Electro.
Where would you put Electro?
It's like a solid B.
Yeah, I'd say so.
It's like a fair B.
No, a debate on Electro.
just like a regular beat like he's good we all know him but like he's never like
done nothing amazing but he's never been like that shite either like he's always been a bit of a
threat so yeah fair you know so here's our last goblin on the list it's norman osborne's green
goblin i mean no questions we can we can be around the bush all we want but it's gonna be
yes tier it's gonna be 100% fair enough yeah
Any comments you would like to make before we move on to our second to last?
I mean, for me, he is Spider-Man's, you know, worst enemy.
But, I mean, I could see why an argument would be made for Dr. Octopus, but for me,
it's always going to be Norman Osborne.
Yeah, but no, the friends.
Yeah, but, I mean, when he turns here again, it's just going to make it even more of a betrayal.
and going to sting that much more.
What a noise made with that is
we have had 70 years of Norman Osborne
being the worst person to Peter Parker
and then Norman Osborne gets shot
by the reverse sin-eater
and then Peter Parker's like,
oh, don't worry about it.
All that shit you did to me?
We're fine. Don't worry about it.
I mean, he didn't really say that.
It took a lot of Norman kind of breaking down
barriers and trying to
convince Peter that he
changed and stuff like that. Like
Peter didn't just go, oh yeah, let's be
friends now. No way with a guy
that orchestrated a guy that
cloned you and then
pretended to be you for five years and then
also
kidnapped your aunt for some reason
and then made a woman
to have surgery to make her
look like her aunt and then she dies
so that you think that your aunt died
and then your clone. And then
you're a clone.
made you think that
he was the real you
and then
that guy who did all of this
killed your phone in front of you
I don't think at any point
you'd be like yeah that's all right
I forget them
I don't know I don't disagree
with that at all but I mean
like I say
I'm not excusing the
the twist and turns of the storyline
I don't
necessarily agree with it but
I will kind of
defend it in that
Peter, I didn't just get
bowled over. There was
like even
you know, like
a big part of it was just going to work for
OzCorp to kind of keep an eye on
Norman and make sure he wasn't
up to no good again.
Uh-huh. So it was, there's
been a level of distrust there all
throughout this, you know,
FaceTun. Norman, they have my card. It said, I'm
sorry, I killed your
girlfriend.
I'm like, that's nice.
Thank you.
He didn't have to do that.
What a sweet gift that was.
I don't know.
I, like, listen, realistically, of course, S here, right?
I'm just saying, once again, the last couple of years have kind of, like, eroded that character.
And it's a shame because there's loads of stuff you can do with that character.
All right.
Well, up next, our penultimate pick, the rhino.
Where would you place the rhino?
I love the rhino.
But also, for being realistic with this, the rhino was just a guy in a rhino suit that you hire to hurt people or to rob a bank.
He's had a couple of, like, notable storylines, you know, Flores or Rino or when his girlfriend died, whatever.
Like, they've tried to do stuff with him, but, like, realistically, he's just, like, a guy you hire, you know?
So I honestly, I would love to put him a B tier, but I think he's a C tier.
I mean, I was leaning towards B-Tier, just because I think he falls into like a similar category to like Scorpion, Sandman, Vulture and Electro.
Like he's, he's one of those perennial villains who maybe isn't going to be like, you know, the master planner, you know, trying to ruin Spider-Man's Spider-Man's
life or whatever but uh you're more interested in like robin the bank or whatever but you know
he's got a significant sort of power set and uh like just a cool gimmick as well and that kind of
you know pushes him up there for me right but if you want to go see tier i'm like i'm not
going to dispute well that's my thing was like if you think of what you just said he's a guy
that robs a bank, but a significant part
set, that's the same as
the shocker or Hydraman.
Isn't it?
Well, it's the same as Scorpion
or Vulture or Sandman
as well, so...
Spokin has a much bigger, like, a back story.
He's got a much bigger history with Spider-Man,
and you feel like the Vulture probably
has a bigger history with Spider-Man.
The Shocker and Hydromand are just kind of,
like, guys that they hire
beat up Spider-Man.
And I feel like Rino is not a million miles
away from that.
Yeah, okay, I'll concede that.
I mean, that's the thing. Again,
we're on the same page in that I wouldn't be
surprised if he was like a low B.
For me, personally, I would say
like a decent C, but
like I'm not going to quibble either way.
You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
So we're replacing him officially?
It's up to Corey.
C. Okay.
All right. I think it's fair.
And finally,
we have the Kingpin.
I love the kingpin and I really think he's a great character,
but we all know that he has spent a lot of time being a Daredevil villain,
more so than a Spider-Man villain,
even though they're both in New York,
like it feels like Daredevil gets the brunt of it more than Spider-Man does.
I would love to put him in A-tier.
I would say B-tier is fair, but I would also say A-tier is fair.
I mean, I was going to go for a tier.
Just because, you know, when he was first introduced in the Spider-Man books,
he was a pretty big deal for a long time as, like,
the guy basically pulling a lot of strings and stuff in the criminal underworld.
And then, like you say, obviously he has spent a significant amount of time
being Daredevil's chief villain.
but he still had time for
Spider-Man and
like trying to
fuck up his world as well
like when he hired someone to kill
at May and
that led to the whole
one more day's storyline
yeah that fucking debacle
but you know
you can see why the Kingpin would have a lot
of stuff to
stay up at Spider-Man as well
again the very low level or street level
should say street level kind of criminal
but a really brilliant one
so again if you were looking at like the kingpin
he's definitely like
the other
street level criminals
he's above tombstone for sure
so yeah yeah definitely
I think A tier is totally fine
mm-hmm
okay
all right well real quick
well wait Corey Corey
Corey Corey
based on your knowledge of Spider-Man
Yeah.
What do you think about this tier list?
I mean, it checks out.
I mean, I'm still kind of surprised that we're taking points off of Venom,
considering like Venom is considered like a major antagonist,
even if he has done a face turn.
Because what you said about Venom,
you could apply it to Norman Osborne as well.
I mean.
Right.
But if you look at the timeline,
the timeline of Venom having that has been way longer than Norman Osborne.
Sure.
Like, I think the impact that Norman Osborne.
Osborne has had on Spider-Man is significantly bigger than the impact Venom has had.
And the time that Venom has been fucking around is longer than the time that Norman Osborne has.
Yeah.
So ultimately, like you said, I don't know much about Spider-Man stuff as you guys do, obviously,
considering, you know, I added Alistair smite to the list.
And apparently that was a, that was a choice.
But again, I watched the cartoon from the 90s, and that fucker was all over the place.
there are so many different spider slayers
they've been stacked up on top of each other
you're lucky you put those robots on there
I'm tempted to bump him up the seat here
after Corey talking about
oh shut up
maybe we should make him a tier
yeah there you go anyway
that being said to do a quick recap
in our D tier we have tarantula
the beetle and Alistair smite
in our seat here we have the shot
Hidreman, the Jason McIndale Hobgoblin, Hammerhead, and the Rhino.
In B tier, we have the Chamele, Scorpion, Tombstone, the Jackal, the Sandman, Craven, the Hunter,
the vulture, the lizard, and Electro.
In our A tier, we have the Roderick Kingsley Hobgoblin, Eddie Brock's Venom, Mysterio,
Carnage, Harry Osborne Green Goblin, and the Kingpin.
In an S-tier, we have Dr. Octopus and the Norman Osborne Green Goblin.
Is there anything here that you would change?
just in terms of like tears yeah anyone you'd move you would move up or down i don't think so man
i think we nilled it yeah no for me i'm really happy with the list i think we fucking kneeled it
like i'm kind of like me and john i had a couple of issues on the show so that when it comes to
spider-man we know what we're talking about yeah we're on the same page we're on the same page
do you think we have time to go through and sort each row by importance
We could probably do it really quickly.
Okay.
So let's start from the bottom up.
Who is the worst D-list person and who is the best D-list person?
It's probably this trantula, right?
I would say the B or the B.
Beetle, Trachula, and then Smyth.
So we would go the best left or right.
Yes.
All right.
So we're finding this row.
So we go Smyth, Tarantula, Beetle as the worst.
Yep.
C tier, same question,
who's the best and worst and we'll sort it from there.
I think if you look at who had the most impact
out of those guys.
Would it be McIndale?
I think the Rhino.
No, I was going to say rhino as well.
McIndale, he was just too much of a loser.
He was the big.
McIdle and Shocker of the same level.
You know what?
Hang on, wait, wait.
Is that?
What about that?
Do you find with this?
The worst being hammerhead, the best being rhino, and we go rhino, shocker, Hydromand, McIndale, Hammerhead?
Would you put Hammerhead in front of McIndale?
Probably.
Actually, you probably put McIndale, or sorry, you probably put Hammerhead in front of Hyderman, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, let's do that.
So the DEC list is now Rhino, Shocker, Hammerhead, Hydromen, and the McIndale Cobblin.
Yep.
All right, B, tier.
This one might take the longest to get through here.
because it's the most people, but who's the best and the worst, the B tier?
Man.
That's tough.
This one's, this one's, this was, this was, this was, this was top for the other ones.
Yeah, let's go with just best and worst, and then we'll, we'll let it fall from, from there.
Like, who's the least impactful B tier person you could think of?
Yeah.
Maybe the least would be chameleon.
Maybe.
Pretty low.
So let's put, and then, let's just move him down here for now and see what that changed,
if that changed anything for you.
And then Tombstone.
Stone. Yeah.
Okay, so we go like that.
Then I want to put
Kirk Connors.
Okay. Because
he doesn't do anything.
Yeah.
Okay. You know?
I'd say maybe
Vulture next.
Okay.
Okay.
Then Jackal, maybe.
Interesting.
I would say
Jackal is more important than
Electro.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
Maybe leave the rest in there.
Or maybe put Sandman in front of McDonald.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah?
And I would put Craven ahead of...
Okay.
So put Craven in front and Saman, yeah?
Yeah, yeah.
Craven and then Sandman. Okay.
Yeah.
So B-tier is now Craven, the Sandman, Scorpion, the Jackal, Electro, the Vulture, the Lizard,
Tombstone, and Camelia.
That's pretty good
Okay, A tier, same question, who's the
Most Impactful and Least Impactful?
I mean, probably Bannon first
Yeah
In terms of what he's done, probably Venom
And then maybe, I want to say Kingpin
I was going to say Kingpin as well, yeah
Yeah, I would say Kingpin
Now from there, I
I'm torn, I think Bob Goblin
is fair there
I would put carnage in front of Mysterio
Yeah
I mean I would
Put Harry above carnage as well
To be honest
I don't I don't yeah I can believe that
I can see that
Because I think that what he did in the time he did it in
It was very impactful
So yeah
I think that's fair
Okay
And then I think we know what AST here is
So real quick, though, just to recap A tier, we go Venom, Kingpin, Roderick Kingsley, Hobgoblin,
Harry Osborne, Green Goblin, Carnage, and Mysterio, and then S-tier, we just have a choice between the two.
We swap them, obviously.
Okay.
Yeah.
So S-tier, we would have Green Goblin, Norman, and then Dr. Octopus.
So based on our tier, the most important is Green Goblin, the least important is the fourth, is the last beetle.
I honestly think we've nailed that.
Yeah.
are we fucking nailed that
this is the happiest
I've ever been with any of our TSS
this might be the best show
we've ever done
I'm super pleased with that
this is what happens
to get two Spider-Man fans
in the one room
like yeah we can do this
no problem
and then we did it
and there was no issue
well I was just saying
you could have picked somebody else
and you remember
to try to that
I'm like oh thanks for making this job easy
yeah I was to God
who else could I have picked
fucking beetle
like,
again,
who would I have picked?
There are
Daphne people
are going to pick.
Like,
who?
We talked,
well,
we talked about
Jack Aladdin.
Yeah,
but I also felt like
that was we had too many
people throwing pumpkin bombs
at that point.
I could have put it
in a bunch of other
hob goblins there too.
We talked about like five.
I would say that,
I was trying to limit
the number of goblins.
I would say
that Jackalandran is a bigger deal
than the beetle.
Or boomerang.
would be up there.
Oh, yeah, Boomerang would have been...
It would have been...
It would have been...
Over the Beetle 100%.
You have taken Boomerang over the Beetle?
Okay.
Because of...
That's funny enough.
That's the opposite of what we've been talking about.
Like, we've been talking about old storylines
and the new ones kind of ruin the character.
The newer storylines have made boomerang like a viable villain.
He's got a symbion now, so...
Yeah, I've heard that.
And it's true.
What a surprise.
It would be happy with that.
But, like...
you could have had Morbius in there.
I thought about Morbius, but here's the thing is, like,
I already felt like I was pushing it with having Venom on there,
and, um, because I was like,
because Kirk Connors is also not really a villain.
And I thought like, you know, if I put,
I was also like going, should I put Black Cat on there?
Because she was a villain at one point.
I would have said,
Berman.
You see, I've never seen vermin.
You've just,
you've talked to me about Berman before.
I've never seen a storyline or anything with him.
we've never well no yes you have
he was in Craven's last hunt
oh okay okay yeah
I just sorry I was thinking about
vermin in Craven's last hunt I was kind of busy
thinking about Craven
well he was well part of why
he's in
part of why he's in Craven last hunt is because
Spider-Man had a really hard time beating
uh Berman by himself
so the idea is Craven puts
Berman against Spider-Man because he knows
that Spider-Man has a really big fear
of Berman.
Like that's such a cool.
And again,
Berman is such a very low
street level character.
He's not,
like he doesn't shoot the shit out of his
fists or whatever.
He's just a rat boy.
But he can like fight and
he has a desperation to him.
I'm like,
that's a fun trait to him.
I really like that.
And again, I would imagine
they probably fuck Berman up now
where he's just like,
oh, he's the son.
You know, he's a new washer.
I don't fucking know, you know,
but.
Yeah.
He used to be
like a really like serious
like important character
and I feel like they probably
I mean I wouldn't say important
I mean
Right not important
But like if Spider-mom
was going up against the shocker
He would be like I could beat this guy
No problem
But if Spider-Man against
Vermont
He's like I have to like
Stop and think about this
There's a fear to that
That I find was really fun
And interesting
Yeah
You know
that I would have put a gap ahead of the beetle
I also knew I had to put some low tier people in there
for the simple fact that we do need some D list people
that's what I mean like staff
I was like looking at superior
the superior foes of Spider-Man and I was like
Beatles is a woman we don't have any women on the list so far
tarantula because I remember I had a tarantula trading card
when I had like the Spider-Man trading cards
but yeah that's sort of my rationale behind you
because I also could have put like speed demon or whatever the fuck that guy's name was from superior foes.
I think speed demon.
Anyway, yeah.
So that was the tier list.
You guys absolutely knocked it out of the park and in full agreement with one another.
I feel like if you were in person, you would have shaken hands over it.
Would be hogging each other.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I'm glad that you guys are in such great spirits talking about Spider-Man,
because we're going to be doing it a lot more over the next few weeks as we begin our month of goblins.
we're going to talk about a goblin every week or goblins.
This is going to be the happiest you're going to see us for the next four weeks.
There you go.
Well, until we get to then, I'm sure.
I think we're going to see John really happy for one of the episodes.
That one might, thinking about that one, that could be a two-parter.
He's done a lot.
I don't know if you could squeeze, if you wanted to try to split that one into two, we could do it.
But he's done a lot.
We'll work about it.
Anyway, we'll figure it up.
That will, we'll talk about that later.
Anyway, John, there have been a lot of Spider-Man movies, and you watched a lot of movies.
What's the most recent movie that you have watched, and what does your movie count for the year?
So, the most recent movie I watched was my 903 movie of the year.
You jumped up?
Yeah.
Wow, that's a big leap.
Did you stun him in the silence?
I guess.
Did your microphone break as we were trying to close the show again?
Wow.
So I broke John.
I can pretend to be John.
What's this?
Oh, the last film I saw was Novi and Juliet.
Five stars.
Really good.
Nobody died.
If you want to see the most recent movie that,
or the review of the most recent movie that John watched,
find out for yourself by going to the link below for letterbox.com slash big John Bowsky,
all one word.
All one word.
All one word.
And Dylan, what have you been getting up to before your microphone breaks?
Wow.
I shouldn't have attempted to be it like that.
Microphones been cut on all night.
Right.
You just like passed it on.
I have a radio show where I play a lot of cool music that I like.
I find music I like during the week and I play it on the show.
It's on Monday nights from 9 o'clock to 11 o'clock UK time.
It's available on Bounceditraloradio.com.
The link is in the description.
So if you click that link at 9 o'clock on Monday night's UK time,
you'll be able to listen to my show.
You'll know it's my show because I will be talking bullshit in between all the songs.
As Corey can attest to.
So check it out if you like that kind of stuff.
Sometimes at Extreme, where I draw pictures on Twitch at Spooky LaRue.
And then I animate those shows and then put them on YouTube at Team Crows and I.
And then on TikTok, add Team Crow Studios.
And I think that's it.
All right.
As for me, I have new number ones, which is every Sunday on our very YouTube channel.
So check that out.
It is usually about six, seven minutes long where I just find a new number one from a third-party publisher and let you know if it's worth picking up.
Additionally, I have made the show, a large old cup, which is a sort of stream of conscious spoken word podcast.
And finally, there is my new podcast, which I do.
Ideally, we'll have a couple episodes out by now by the time you're watching this called Opal City Archives, which is a retrospective series on Starman, the James Robinson, Tony Harris Comics from DC in the 90s.
But until then, we'll see you guys next week where we're going to talk about some goblins.
See you later.
Good night.
Bye-bye.
Wow.
This is like the third episode in the row.
It's the second time that's happened to John.
