South Africa at this very hour is making a strong appeal before the International Court of Justice in The Hague in the Netherlands,
asking the court to issue an immediate order to the state of Israel to halt all military operations in Rafah.
I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Thursday, May 16, 2024. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news with a look at this headline published a few hours ago by Germany's
DW.com. South Africa asks ICJ to halt Israel's Rafah offensive.
We'll take a look at a couple sentences from the DW report, and then we'll talk about what's taking place.
Doc?
Yes.
Well, South Africa on Thursday urged the UN's top court to order an end to Israel's assault on Rafah,
accusing Israel of intensifying what it calls genocide in Gaza.
The hearing at the International Court of Justice in The Hague is part of South Africa's
broader case, accusing Israel of committing acts of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
The article from DW has this to say, South Africa had hoped, when we last appeared before
this court, to halt this genocidal process to preserve Palestine and its people.
That's coming from Vusa Muzi Madosina, South Africa's ambassador to the Netherlands, speaking to the ICJ.
Instead, Israel's genocide has continued apace and has just reached a new and horrific stage, he added.
Israel will respond on Friday, the second and final scheduled day of the preliminary
hearing. Now, Israel has denied the accusation and has previously highlighted its commitment
to international law. Israel has called South Africa's case wholly unfounded and morally
repugnant. Now, South Africa had asked the ICJ to make three emergency orders while the body
continues to hear arguments
on the wider genocide accusation. These are those three items. The first requested measure
is for the court to order Israel to immediately withdraw and cease its military offensive in
Rafah. Second, Israel should be called upon to take all effective measures to allow unimpeded
access for humanitarian workers,
investigators, and journalists into Gaza. And the third requested provisional measure is to ensure
that Israel reports back on its efforts to adhere to those first two orders. As the overwhelming
evidence demonstrates, the very manner in which Israel is pursuing its military operations in Rafah and elsewhere
in Gaza is itself genocidal.
South Africa said in its submission, it must be ordered to stop.
So that word genocide is being published loud and clear from the ICJ.
Everyone else can argue about genocide, but the ICJ is calling it genocide.
But the White House can't spot any genocide.
Right.
And Israel can't see any genocide.
Of course, they're blinded to it.
And the State Department can't see any genocide.
But the rest of the world sees genocide.
And there's only a small segment of the world, basically the United States.
That's about it. Maybe a few Western nations and Europe, but overall, it's essentially the United States of America that is denying that there's genocide taking place, which is a terrible commentary on the United States of America.
Yes.
We should be standing for what is right, standing for defenseless children who are being slaughtered by the Israelis because they have a blood loss to get even for revenge.
That's what's taking place.
They have a blood loss for revenge.
Those children who are being killed had nothing to do with what happened on October 7th.
And yet the Israelis are going in killing them simply because they're Palestinian.
It's immoral.
It's beyond words to describe what Israel has been doing.
There are two different things.
What Hamas did on October 7th is one thing, and they should be dealt with.
Agreed.
But Israel financed Hamas.
Yes.
So Israel should be dealt with. Agreed. But Israel financed Hamas. Yes. So Israel should be dealt with for financing terrorists.
If they're terrorists, isn't that what Netanyahu said?
They're terrorists.
Right.
Then Netanyahu financed them for 10 years.
Over 10 years, he gave them $3.6 billion.
So Netanyahu financed terrorism.
And this is a matter of record now.
It's not hearsay. It's not hearsay.
It's not accusation.
This is documented.
Yes.
So that's the first thing.
Deal with what happened on October 7th, but also deal with what happened before October 7th, that the Israeli government was deliberately financing Hamas.
They wanted a puppet.
They needed their own
terrorist puppet.
And they had an agenda.
And now the children are paying the price.
But what happened after October 7th
is different.
What's taking place
in Palestine is
genocide.
The complete destruction of a people.
Wipe them out.
Totally wipe them out, Doc.
Right.
That's genocidal behavior.
And Israel's viewpoint and the viewpoint of the Zionists in America is there are no rules.
Yes, Israel can do anything it wants.
They can do anything that they want to do
because October 7th justifies killing children.
We have to, if the children get in the way of our bombs,
if the children have to be living,
if they just happen to be living in an apartment building that we blow up,
it's not our fault.
Right.
It's Hamas's fault. So that is the attitude of
the Israelis and the so-called Christian Zionists in America. The Mark Levens on radio, television,
the talking heads on Fox News, that's their position. Israel has the right to kill anybody and everybody in its pursuit of Hamas.
But nobody talks about Israel financing Hamas.
Next story, Egypt's president, al-Sisi, accused Israel, look at this, deviously.
Isn't that a trope?
He accused the Israelis
of being devious.
The president of Egypt said
Israel is deviously
shirking ceasefire efforts.
Well, it's not the only thing
Netanyahu has been devious about.
He's been devious about sabotaging
the hostage talks
right they were close to having a deal well i mean hamas agreed to a deal when's the last time
you've heard anything about the deal the last thing we heard was hamas said yes and the next
thing was it's dead no the next thing was we're in rafa. Yes. Israeli tanks are going into Rafah. What are you talking about?
Hamas said, yes, we'll accept the deal.
The very next day, Israeli tanks are in Rafah.
Well, Netanyahu had told us he was still going to Rafah, no matter what the deal was.
Hostage deal or no hostage deal.
So Netanyahu consistently sabotaged the hostage negotiations.
That's not my opinion.
That's the opinion of members of
the Israeli hostage negotiating team. That's right. I read that in the Israeli newspapers.
That's right. The Israeli team said this. Well, Israel's deliberately avoiding a ceasefire effort
as it focuses on a military solution to Hamas in Gaza and is leveraging control of the Rafah crossing to strengthen its hold on the enclave.
That's coming from Egyptian President Abdel Al-Sisi at the 33rd Arab Summit in Bahrain.
He's speaking earlier today.
Had this quote from Jerusalem Post.
Israel continues to engage in evasive actions to shirk its responsibilities
and in devious maneuvering
around efforts to achieve a ceasefire, he said. Furthermore, it is defiantly adamant about its
widely condemned military operation in Rafah and seeks to leverage the Rafah crossing from the
Palestinian side to solidify its siege on the Gaza Strip.
And so this is the president of Egypt directly accusing Netanyahu and the current Israeli regime of deliberately sabotaging any efforts
to wind down any kind of operations in Gaza.
There's no hostage deal.
There's nothing like this going on, Rick.
Doc, yesterday I read that the Egyptian military was moving food into Rafah without the permission of the Israeli military.
You can see the Egyptians are becoming fed up.
They're frustrated because they're watching what Netanyahu's doing. They're seeing
how devious and dishonest he is and how determined he is to kill people in Rafa.
Just a historical point for Christians. When we talk about Rafa, are you aware that Rapha, the Rapha gate, is where Joseph and Mary passed through when they were taking the Christ child to Egypt to get away from an Israeli Jewish king, Herod, who was killing all the boys?
Yes.
All the boys in Bethlehem?
Yes. They passed through the Rapha gate to get to Egypt. Yes. All the boys in Bethlehem.
Yes.
They passed through the Rapha gate to get to Egypt.
Right.
Jesus had to go to Egypt so he could come from Egypt.
Matthew 2.15.
Out of Egypt have I called my son.
Yes.
But he had to first go to Egypt to be called.
But Mary and Joseph and Jesus passed through the Rapha gate.
Yes. To get away from a tyrannical, bloodthirsty
Jewish king.
That was killing babies.
He was killing babies.
And yet you've got these church leaders in America cheering for Netanyahu.
Those so-called Christian Zionists, had they lived 2,000 years ago, would have cheered for Herod.
They would have been Herodians.
They would have been out there shouting, crucify him, crucify him.
And the Herodians had their military partner in Rome.
Yes.
The only reason why the Herods were allowed to rule was because they were friends with Rome.
Sound familiar today?
That's the same thing.
I think according to the Egyptian Christians,
I think they say Mary and Joseph were,
I might get this wrong.
If there are any Egyptian Orthodox Christians watching,
I know you'll correct me.
I want to say that the Egyptian church believes that Joseph, Mary, and Jesus were in Egypt, I want to say four years.
Somewhere between three and four years until God called them back.
They have their own legends.
They have church history. And why do they? Because there were churches built in certain places of Egypt where the Christians said, this is where Mary and Joseph and the Christ child were at.
And so they have a map where they believe.
And they didn't, Joseph and Mary and Jesus didn't just stay in one place.
They moved from place to place in Egypt over those four years.
It's a fascinating story.
I have to look that up.
All right. We'll get back.
This is another big one.
Times of Israel.
Yes.
Defense Minister Galant, the headline, Times of Israel, Galant to Prime Minister Netanyahu,
reject Israeli military civil rule of Gaza after Hamas.
I won't allow it.
Yeah, I saw this story last night. So this is a real crack in the wall there, isn't it, Rick? Yeah, let's read it, and then we'll talk about this.
So in a televised address on Wednesday, Defense Minister Yoav Galant told Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu that he must take tough decisions to advance non-Hamas governance of Gaza,
whatever the personal or political cost, because the gains of the war
are being eroded and Israel's long-term security is at stake. Now, Gallant warned in his address
that he will not, I repeat, not consent to Israeli civil or military governance of Gaza
and that governance by non-Hamas Palestinian entities accompanied by international actors
isn't in Israel's interest.
Netanyahu, he said,
must publicly rule out the notion
of ongoing Israeli military
or civil rule in the Strip.
This is coming from the defense minister.
So, Doc, kind of set it up here in the context,
the hardcore, really radical Zionists in Israel,
the Ben-Gavirs, the Smotriches, the people in Israel that adore John Hagee, the people
that John Hagee visits when he goes to Israel, the people that the American evangelical church leaders, when they go to Israel, I'm talking about the people they go to and bow down and kiss their feet.
Those people.
Okay.
Those people in Israel, the most radical fringe of the Zionist population in Israel, they are demanding that they be allowed to settle in Gaza and build
houses and businesses and take control of Gaza.
This is a very strong, powerful political movement in Israel right now to demand the
right to take control of Gaza.
The Jews are saying, hey, once we kill all these Palestinians,
that's Israel's land.
We're taking it.
Right.

Genesis Gold Group, empowering faith-driven stewardship. That's right. They'll still be intense. They'll still be intense, but they'll have good jobs, right?
They'll have good jobs working at the hotels, driving the trucks.
But at least they're alive, Doc.
At least they have food.
At least they have shelter and their kids aren't going to be killed.
So in the end, it's actually good, isn't it?
I mean, to be real about it, isn't it better? Isn't it better for them to be under occupation by Western banksters than to be
under rubble by
Zionist gangsters?
If you have to choose between the two, then yes.
That was a pretty good line there.
I should remember that one.
That might

Yes.
Where are the veterans in this country?
Amen.
Where are the veterans?
Why aren't you marching on Larry Huck's ministry saying, how dare you do this to our flag?
