Starting point is 00:00:21 Cheers, mates. Welcome to Who New with Matt Stewart, the show where the guest wrote the wrong answer. on the titular match, and our first guest has appeared on, have you been paying attention? The project in Spicks and Spex is Jen Fricker. Hello. Hello.
Starting point is 00:00:44 So good to have you back on the show. Thanks, man. So good to have you. I think last time I saw you, you'd broken a leg or something like that. You were really drunk, and then the next day on Instagram stories, you were like, I broke my leg.
Starting point is 00:00:56 And I was like, yeah. Yeah, that's like from where I saw you. Yeah, man. No, as well. There's only one way that was going to end. I was playing it up a bit. It was just a sprain. Ah.
Starting point is 00:01:08 But I pray, I mean, a better story if it's broken, I guess. Yeah. Well, I had it around that. It was broken. And I was very brave. Our next guest this week, the first time of the show was nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award and has appeared on TV shows like mock the week and Russell Howard's Good News is Carl Donnelly.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Hi. Sorry. I don't know why I started drinking a sip of coffee as you were coming to the end of that sense. I need energy for this. I really fucked my timing up there on the drink. When was the Edinburgh Comedy Award nom? Which one? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:47 No, I got a new car. I got a newcomer one, but first, but that doesn't really count. 2013, I'm counting. The main ones, actually, 13 years ago. I feel like ancient in comedy. And, well, I mean, you're fresh. How long have you been in Australia? I moved here in December.
Starting point is 00:02:03 So yeah. He's starting again. Reborn. I might get a newcomer. That's good actually. And our third guest this week is host of Cooper's in comedy. It's Tim Hewitt. Thanks, mate.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Cheers. Yeah, no TV. No nominations. I mean, you've got TV, baby. No, no, no, no. It doesn't count. You're a purist. You've got the best TV show that's not on TV.
Starting point is 00:02:30 You've got the foot show. That's true. That's true. Big Hewis. Never forget. I think you're a quitting show. Absolutely. The hottest ticket at every comedy festival.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Absolutely. All right, so this is the way the show works. Ask a relatively obscure trivia question. Our contestants have to write a convincing fake answer or then read out their answers. Well, as a real one. I have to guess which one is correct. And the first question comes from listener,
Starting point is 00:02:53 Kate Elliott from Gisbon. And the question is, what is the literal English translation of the German word for nipples? English translation. translation of the German word for nickel. If I gave you the actual German word, it's a bit too obvious maybe as to what the translation is.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Right. So we're putting in like the German word. You're putting in the English. Yeah, the, what? It is a, it is a confusing question. Oh, so we're not just being like, dash the looky poops or something.
Starting point is 00:03:23 No, yeah. No, so like if it, if. Or something really funny like that. Like just like just like funny. Just like. It's just like. Six German gibberish. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:32 You're. You're taking whatever that is back to. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Back to English. While you're writing your answers, I'll explain how the scoring works for the listeners. You get one point if your fake answer is guessed by the other contestant. And another point if you correctly guess the answer, and by the way, I'm also playing as the house.
Starting point is 00:03:49 I've put in two of my own fake answers for each question with the help of the question writer. We get a point for each one of those that I guess choose. So each can scribe to three points per round, but it seems fair, but the probability actually favours me, the house. And for that reason, the guests get triple points in the final round, evening things out, maybe even tipping it in their favour. Anyway, most of our questions come from our great Patreon supporters. If you want to submit a question, sign up on any level by Patreon.com slash do you go on pod,
Starting point is 00:04:19 linked in the show notes. Oh, and by the way, we film the episodes these days. If you want to check out the video that took too much work to get going today, to be honest, You can go to the Do-Go on YouTube channel. All right, the answer in for question number one. What is the literal English translation of the German word for nipples? Here are your six options. Chest milk penises.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Mother's circle. Wrong eyeballs. Breast warts. Eyes of the breast or pectoral jubes. All right, Jen. Any of those jumping out of you. I feel like that. eyes of the breast is almost too poetic to be German.
Starting point is 00:05:05 It doesn't have the kind of like a utility that an ugly. You know what I mean? That feels more French or something. I kind of like, yeah. The French might say that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. I like pectoral jubes.
Starting point is 00:05:22 I don't even know what a jub is. I thought it was a lulley. Hmm. Um, so I'm going to go with that. That sounds kind of brutal enough to be German. Okay. Pectoral groups. What do you think, Carl?
Starting point is 00:05:38 I do, I actually think it is eyes of the breasts. Okay. I feel like the German, it's quite literal, isn't it? Mm. You know, knowing the Germans, they don't sort of mess around. It's pretty, it's relatively common to do German and French in school for English. Yeah, I did French. I did not do German.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I was, I just, as I was reading out, I'm like, whoa, maybe playing right. in a Carl's hands here. Not at all. Just French. To a very low level. So I wouldn't have known it if it was a French fan either. Yeah, it doesn't come up. The nipples in the high school curriculum?
Starting point is 00:06:10 Yeah, yeah. You're asking for trouble. It's like hard enough getting the kids to take it seriously doing French or German. It's like, okay, guys, let's get into it, tits, dicks. Let's get into the translation. All right, Jui, what do you think? You can pick the same or go your own way? I liked Mother's Circle.
Starting point is 00:06:31 What was the other option? Chest milk penises, wrong eyeballs, breast warts. Breastwalks is disgusting. I'm going to go Mother's Circles. Mother's circles for Huey. All right, here's who wrote the answers. Wrong eyeballs. That was Kate, the question writer.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Chest milk penises was Carl. Thank you. Beautiful. Now, what do we have? Pectoral jubes, Jan. I'm afraid that was the house. house, which I changed at the very last second because I had chesty milkers, which was so close to what Carl wrote.
Starting point is 00:07:10 They're like, oh, quick, got to change. And pectoral jubes came out. Now, Carl went for eyes of the breast. That was Huey. Yes. Nice. It speaks a little German. Yeah, thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Well, it's one of my passion. Two speak friends. One of my passion subjects. This is a little side project I've been working on to the life. last 10 years. Don't ask me what the Swahili translation is. Huey's gone for Mother's Circle. That was Jen Fricker.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Oh, I liked that, Jen. I just found something a bit yucker in there, a bit beautiful, you know? Well, the correct one was the yuckest, maybe, of all breast warts. Oh. That's not, you say it. That does sound German, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:07:54 They just, they're just, they're freaky, freaky. nation, aren't they? Yeah, yeah. Going into Bergheim, being like, you can't get in, your breast warts.
Starting point is 00:08:04 It's in for the heart. No entry. After one round, Huey, Jen and the House all school at one point, going to round two. This question was sent in by a couple of people,
Starting point is 00:08:20 Callum BW from Tassie and Amber Olegi from Aberdeen, Washington. And the question is, what is the name of a mollusk that is widespread in North America. Basically, you've just got to come up with a fake species of mollusk, which are like, you know, the mollusk. It's like the clams and the muscles and those sort of things, I think.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Sea snails. Sea snails. And while you're writing that out, here's some more info on breastworts or the actual, this is why I couldn't say the actual German word, because it's something like brustwarts. Nice. When you hear a layer, they are. It is a beautiful term, actually.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Beautiful. Kate writes, the official German word for nipple piercing is brutzwetson piercing. But if a local wants to sound less clinical, they might use the slang term nipple piercing. However, even the word nipple is in German traditionally refers to mechanical valves for threaded pipe joints in plumbing. All right, answer to question number two, what is the name of a mollusk, or mollusky, that is widespread North America. The gun show. Rough fat market.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Happy snapper. Fusker Pule. Newfoundland wet boy or New England sucker dogs. Some great lines of work there. Some of the best. What do you think? What was the Newfoundland?
Starting point is 00:09:51 Newfoundland wet boy. I don't know why. I want it to be that. drawn to the wet boy. To the wet boy. I like a wet boy. Oh, don't we all?
Starting point is 00:09:59 Who doesn't like a wet boy? Tim, what do you think? Fuck. Can you talk? Gun show? Gun show. Rough fat mucket? Happy snapper.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Fusca Pule. I'll go the rough fat mucket. Rough fat mucket. It's a beautiful name for a boy or girl. He doesn't have a rough fat market. Um, key that please. I'll do Fesca Pule or whatever it is. I like that.
Starting point is 00:10:25 That's fun. Fuskerpule. Yeah, it is fun. Fuscapeal. That's fun to say you. Fuskapule. Uh, all right. Here's the right.
Starting point is 00:10:34 The answers. Happy Snapper. That was the house. Oh. As was the gun show. Trying to be a bit clever with muscles there. Oh, yes. Ah, nice.
Starting point is 00:10:43 They love guns. You know. They love guns. And they love guns. I'm like, look at it. This is almost like, almost works on two levels. Mm. The New England sucker dogs.
Starting point is 00:10:54 That was. Jen Fricker. From the beautiful mind of Jen Fricker. Sounds like a sports team. I love it. The sucker dogs. Sucker dogs. Now, Carl went for Newfoundland Wet Boy.
Starting point is 00:11:09 That was from the beautiful mind of Tim Hewitt. So this is two for two for two. He's in your head. Shit. Jen went for Fusker Pule. That's Carl. Carl's on the board. Nice.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Thank you. Beautiful. That's your virgin points here on the show. Thank you. A big moment. I'm sure you, I know you were nominated for big awards in the past, but that's big.
Starting point is 00:11:38 This is going to be up there. You don't want to pull a donut on your first appearance. It happens. Has it? It happens. Really. People have straight up zero. Yeah, keep a clean sheet.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Oh, God. Name him. Name him right now. Tag him in the show notes. I definitely remember surrendering it multiple times. And I'm never fully sure of his heart's in it, to be honest. Oh, come on. All right, the correct answer, Tim got it, it is rough fat market.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Oh, really? Which to me sounds like the most ridiculous of them all. So two points to Huey and one to Carl in that round. Meaning after two rounds, the scores are Carl Jen and the House are one point, but leaping out to the lead on three points, it's Tim Hewitt. This is big. Love it. Love it.
Starting point is 00:12:25 Question three. He didn't send in a question. He sent me in a whole book, this guy. James H. Oof. A book called The Legion of Regrettable Superheroes. And it's just all these like unknown shit. Like often now in, what do you call?
Starting point is 00:12:49 Public domain. Yeah, yeah. So problematic ones that are like from that. Oh, yes. Yes. Yes. You're thinking in the right world. Oh, hell, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Okay, so he just sent me the book and I picked out. I honestly flipped to a page and just picked the first one. And so the question is, who was the supervillain in Boy Comics, issue nine from April 1943? So just the name of the supervillain and a brief description, like a sentence or whatever about. Boy Comics? Boy Comics issue nine from 1914. And while you're writing your answers, I'll let the audience know a bit more about fat muckets.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I've got on a wiki, fat mucket clams are filter feeders. They filled on algae, phytoplankton, protozoans, and organic particles. In the parasitic glochidal stage, they feed on blood from host species, which include bass, perch, walleye, and sturgeon. and if I've pronounced a single word correctly there. It is widespread in North America found in the drainagees of both the Mississippi River from New York to Minnesota, the Great Lakes and Hudson Bay. It lives in lakes, rivers, streams and quiet waters, usually on sandy mud bottoms.
Starting point is 00:14:13 All right, the answer is question number three. Who is the supervillain in Boy Comics, Issue 9 from 1943? Uber Twinkle, a Nazi superstar who threatens the world with his new nuclear bomb level star laser. Option two. Little Hitler. A toddler version of Adolf Hitler, complete with trademark little mustache and big temper tantrums. Option three.
Starting point is 00:14:41 He, she. That's what she written all over at that one. So I'm going for it. It's right on my stream. Option three, he, she. The deadliest of the species is the female. The strongest of the species. is the male.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Combine these with the killer instinct and you have got the most cunning, the most vicious, the most fiendish killer of all time. He's she. That's option three. Option four. The Dinosaur. A T-Rex with chainsaws for arms. Option five.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Gestapo Joe. A former SS soldier who escaped Berlin just before it fell to the invading Russians and made his way to America where he became a feared crime boss known for using previous Nazi torture techniques on his enemies. Or finally, Professor Petterast, the evil genius biology teacher, whose catchphrase was, I'll spank your bottom, boy.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Now I understand why it's boy comics. Huey, what do you think? I can run through him. Uber Twinkle, Little Hitler, he, she, the dinosaur, Gestapo Joe, or Professor Petterast? I like Gestapo. Joe or Hishi.
Starting point is 00:15:57 I'll go Gistapo Joe. Stapo Joe. I like Gistapo Joe. All right locked in. Jen? I like Hichie or Dinosaur. Hich is hilarious. Dinosaur is so simple and so stupid.
Starting point is 00:16:13 But I feel like he gave us like the 1943 for a reason. I don't know. I'm going to go with Dinosaur because I like the image. Oh, I had Dano. or a car. A little Hitler all day long. I was never going anywhere else. Even though you're like, that's Tim.
Starting point is 00:16:31 I mean, it's the one I think it is as well. So far, every one of those has been Tim. I wish. I wish. All right. Here's the right. The answers. Uber Twinkle.
Starting point is 00:16:45 That was Jen. Nice. So I like a. Superstar. Professor Petter asked. That was Huey. You go up when you're out of the bullet for one go. Gestapo Joe, Huey, the tables have turned.
Starting point is 00:17:03 You went for Carl's. Oh, nice. Also, there was a major flaw. I miss heard the year. Yeah, I was like, when you read it, I was like, no one's going for that. Because obviously, Berlin didn't fault him, 1945. Come on, guys. He saw the writing on the wall.
Starting point is 00:17:18 That's how he's so close. Literal wall. Jen went for the dinosaur. or I'm afraid that was the house. Well, compliments of the chef. Carl went for little Hitler. I'm afraid that was also the house. Meaning the correct answer was he, she.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Oh, fuck. Wow. I guess when it's boy comics, that is the scariest thing. Yeah. Girl. Wait, what was, what was, I understand the strength of a man,
Starting point is 00:17:45 but what was the, the evil mind of a woman. Yeah, the deadliest of the female. All the terrible traits of women. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Apparently.
Starting point is 00:17:56 Indictiveness and cunningness of the lady. I found a brief bio. Maybe later on. I'll read some more about her or them. But they. They. The public domain superheroes site says, he,
Starting point is 00:18:12 she was a half man, half woman villain who fought crime buster once. He she tricked a woman into marrying him, her to defraud her out of money. Wow. What a comic for boys.
Starting point is 00:18:23 I know. Yeah. What a bizarre story line. That is, yeah, yeah. That's early in-cell propaganda, I feel. That's very much like, hey, stay inside. Keep reading these. Don't go out there.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Women will get you in their trap. Women will get you. And it literally just like split down the middle. You know, like an old circus type. Yeah, exactly. Which is an old comic scene, I guess, Two-Face and others. Which makes me question the judgment of the person who married. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Have you ever not had a look at it? The other side. No, I much prefer this. This is my good side. Please don't look at me on the. Hectic. So what do we got? We got, oh, the house did well there.
Starting point is 00:19:04 One for Carl, two for the house. As we hit the halfway mark. The scores are now. Jen's on one. Carl and house on. Oh, no, hang on. Carl on two, but Huey and the house out in front on three points of piece. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Question number four comes from Francis Redmond. from Tasmania. This is another short one. You just need to come up with a person's name. But specifically, what is the name of the long-serving librarian at Transylvania University in Kentucky? I only give you that details to be specific. The name's a bit of fun, maybe.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Full name. Full name. First second, yeah. Okay. And, yeah, while you're writing your answers, let's go for a quick break. All right, we're back. The answer in for question number four.
Starting point is 00:19:54 What was the name of the long-serving library? at Transylvania University in Kentucky. Ben Burr, Grand Stoker, Paige Turner, Francis Pankinshitter, BJ Gooch or Vampire Ted. All right, Jen, what do you reckon?
Starting point is 00:20:20 Yo, yo. I don't like Brand Stoker. That's a bit of fun. A bit of fun. it's been a bloody fun I love the idea of a person called brand as well all right feels kind of American
Starting point is 00:20:33 yes yeah yeah they got a lot more names was I reckon over there they do they really do did you ever see that really funny list of computer game names
Starting point is 00:20:46 what the fact it was it was from a Japanese 90s baseball game where they're just gone these are American names yeah I always remember Bob
Starting point is 00:20:56 And bobs and dugnut. Yeah, that's perfect. There was a question we had a while back and it was a similar thing, but it was like an Italian wrestling character that was like maybe from a Japanese game translated English was pizza pasta. So good.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Carr, what do you reckon? Can you just run for him quickly again? Ben Burr, Grand Stoker, Paige Turner, Francis Pankinshitter, B.J. Gooch, vampire, Ted. I'm going to go, BJ, Gooch. Oh, God. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:21:39 I mean, I like Paige Turner. But, you know, there's something about, what is it, Franken Shitter? Francis Pank and Shitter. Yeah, I'll go that. I like Francis Pank and Shitter. Frank Pank and Shitter to his friends. Frank.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Frank. All right. Here's her at the answers. Ben Burr, that was the house, picked behind the curtain here. This is not, it's not very clever, but this is what? I'm like, Kentucky Bourbon. Bur Ben, Ben, Burr. That was, you know, it's nothing, but that's what it was.
Starting point is 00:22:10 And then I'm like, sort of sounds like Ben Herb, but why would anyone pick that? I was wasting everyone's time with that. No, you know what? Sometimes the process is more beautiful than the park. Page Turner, also the house. That one, I think, needs less explanation. Vampire Ted, that was Jen. Crazy that no one went for that.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Crazy that no one went for that. I loved it. But I would also believe that. Like a library and that never goes outside. You could see that. Yeah. And there are, like, there's a question that comes up occasionally about American footballers and they have names that are wilder than that.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. In my mind, I also thought, this is like an old dude who's probably trying to have fun with it. Yeah. He's trying to get the kids to read. That was my process. I'm at the University of Transylvania or whatever. Yeah. I'm down by D-Prol.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Yeah. Jen, you went for Grand Stoker. That was Huey. Yeah. I just... My compliments, my brother. Thank you. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I was just trying to think of a woman's name that rhymes with Bram Stoker, but I just went grand. And really, we ran out of... Yeah. Now, Hughie went for Francis Pankenshitter. Yeah. That was Caldonally. Oh.
Starting point is 00:23:25 The tables have turned. And that also means Carl's correct. It is BJ Gooch. Wow. Wow. I mean, it's like funny, but it's crazy to be like, you gotta want to hear this.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Transylvania, like, Drasma, you'll get it. BJ Gooch. Do we know what the BJ stands for? I mean, I'm not in this context. Oh, we all. know what the Bid J stands for. It's got to be Billy Jean or something like that.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Someone who just does oral on a gooch. And you're like, I guess. We're so close to it. Up or down that. So two points out round of Carl, big round from Carl. Scores are now, Jen on one, house on three, but out in front on four apiece, it's Tim and Carl. Going on to the penultimate question here.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Question number five from Rachel Ball from London. The question is which interestingly named jazz tune was written by Louis Armstrong in 1923, but never recorded until the 2000s. It's just the name of a Louis Armstrong penned song. Back from 1923, but yeah, never released. Not one of his famous ones, that's fair to say. While you're writing your answers, here's a little more info about B.J. Gooch. Linda Blackford writes for AP News.
Starting point is 00:24:57 On December 16th, 2004, Betty Jean, B.J. Gouch, the special collection librarian at Transylvania University was meeting with a colleague outsider office when they saw two young men dressed in ludicrous, old man wrinkles, and facial hair ascend the staircase to the rare books room. We thought it was just theatre students fooling around, Gouche said.
Starting point is 00:25:20 It turned out they were there to perform a heist known to history. is the Transi book heist. They stole some of Transe's most valuable books, including two original folios of John James Audubin's Birds of America, said to be worth $8 to $12 million. That notorious moment in Transi's history is now portrayed in the movie American Animals. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:44 And she's featured in her briefly, apparently. She's interviewed, there's cuts between some stuff with the real heasters. And, yeah, apparently that movie helped her get closure because it was obviously pretty full on for for Gouche. It's like, I just think, it's great. Graham Goosell Cricketer. What a great name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:02 All right, penultimate question. Which interestingly named jazz tune was written by Louis Armstrong in 1923? Never actually record until the 2000s. Don't shout into your shoe. Puckered lips, shaking hips. Spanish flu boogie. Papa, what you're trying to do to me, I've been doing it for years. Your sweat is big, juicy and wet.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Or, oh, Johnny, please don't. The reeds on these have been amazing, by the way. Carl, I can't quite picture it, Matt. Could you do it in what you think his voice was that? I'm picturing his sort of trumpety instrumental. I mean, I'm leaning towards Spanish flu boogie. Just because I like the sound of it. What was the last one?
Starting point is 00:26:58 Johnny, don't. Oh, Johnny, please don't. No. I'm going Spanish fluke. Locked in. Yeah. What was the like, what you've been doing to me? Papa, what you're trying to do to me?
Starting point is 00:27:13 I've been doing it for years. I mean, they're all crook, but I like that one. I'll go with that one. I like that. Locked in. Jan. I mean, Huey took the one I love. You can.
Starting point is 00:27:26 You can go the same. No, no, no. For a point of difference, I'll do, your sweat is big, juicy or whatever it is. Your sweat is big, juicy and wet. Oh, yuck. Big. I think big's the worst word in that.
Starting point is 00:27:41 All sentence. Yeah, big. Yeah, big. Sweet is big. Come on. The rest of it, I can live. Yuck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And wet, I think that's superfluous by the time you get there. Even juicy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:56 See, somebody's into sweat, whatever. They're into good on them. Yeah. But I think big is just, you don't want big sweat. Big sweat. Big beads of sweat. Like, like you can hear it hit in the ground. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, God. All right. Here's who wrote the answers. Oh, Johnny, please don't. That was from the sick and twisted mind of Rachel, the question writer. Nice.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Uh, don't shout into your shoe. That was Carl. Oh, I love that one. That was great. I thought that would be real almost. Puckered lips. Shaking hips. That was Huey.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Nice. Well, I think you've been a bit too authentic. Yeah, yeah. Uh, your sweat is big, juicy and wet. I'm afraid that was the house. Yes. Me in the house like this today. Like this today.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Carl went for the Spanish flu boogie. That was Jen Fricker. Oh. Yay. And Huey went for the correct answer. Papa, what you're trying to do to me, I've been doing it for years. Fuck, that's awesome. Do we know what it refers to?
Starting point is 00:29:04 No, well, that's the thing Rachel said has been trying to track down the lyrics but can't find them. Maybe it is an instrumental. So she can't, she hasn't been able to figure out what the it is. I tried looking up and didn't seem to be clear either. Yeah. I like that, whatever it was. he did it and then 80 years later he's like now's the time. Yeah, well his
Starting point is 00:29:28 his estate is gone. Let's catch this one in there. Yeah, we're holding a few chips in. Take the lyrics out and put it out. You never show me on the lyrics. It's all right. Great melody though. Yeah. Great melody.
Starting point is 00:29:48 Really gives me puckered lips and shaking hips. It's giving me that big juicy. Oh wow. So we're going into the final round with the score. It's pretty tight. Everyone's only three points separating the whole field. And it is triple points in the final round. So it's truly anyone's game.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Final question comes from Juan from the Bronx. And we're finishing with a movie synopsis question. So this would be a longest answer to three sentences long. Quick movie synopsis. And the question is, what is the synopsis of the 2021 film Black Easter? What is the synopsis of the film Black Easter?
Starting point is 00:30:28 Black Easter. And while you're writing your answers, here's what Rachel said about that song. I confused Google's AI, but when I searched this title to find the link, it replied, quote, it sounds like we might have got it now wires crossed. I'm an AI, so I don't have a papa or personal motives.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Just here to help out with information. writing or problem solving. It was really, really good, I reckon. Anyway, this tune has only been recorded by bands in last 20 years, but it is in the Library of Congress as part of Louis Armstrong's original Uvra. I couldn't find any lyrics, so I'm afraid we don't have any more info on what it is. All right, the answer and final question.
Starting point is 00:31:14 What is the synopsis of the 2021 film Black Easter? Now, this remembering is worth triple points. And there's only one house option in this round as well. So you've got five possibilities. Martin Lawrence is sent back in time and is mistaken for the son of God by Pontius Pilate. With the tagline, oh, I know you ain't putting the only brother on the cross. I hope one of you wrote it. I hope one of you guys right now.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Option Option two. High-flying city girl, Cynthia, played by Carrie Russell, is home with her seemingly perfect family for the Easter holidays. But after a blackout, cripples her small idyllic town.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Her family's terrible secrets are finally coming to light. Option two, option three, an extremist group hijacks time travel technology and travels back in time. to attempt to assassinate Christ before his crucifixion, thus preventing the resurrection.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Option four, a legacy sequel to the 1974 Black Christmas follows the surviving sorority sisters reuniting for a holiday away on Easter, only to find out that their stalker slash killer was not as dead as they thought. Well, finally, Harry Sinker has had the worst year of his life. He's lost his job, his relationship,
Starting point is 00:32:46 and now looks likely to lose his appointment. apartment. That's when he meets the mysterious Juliet in a dive bar on Good Friday, who offers him the chance to turn the clock back and put right all that has gone wrong. However, not everything is as it seems, and he soon realizes he signed up to an Easter weekend of horror. Huey, you got Martin Lawrence sent back. You've got the high-flying city girl, Cynthia, Yeah, whose family secrets come out. You've got the extremist group who goes back in time to kill Jesus
Starting point is 00:33:23 before the crucifixion. I'm gonna, yeah, I'm gonna go with that one. That one? Yeah, yeah. I love that, that world of, like, religious movies. Yeah. But surely, also, the chances of him, what if he just then resurrects?
Starting point is 00:33:39 Yeah, so funny to kill it. And I'd have just, I'd made it earlier. Like, they do the, go on back to kill baby Hitler. Yeah, yeah. To kill the guy, just, you don't go back and kill him when he's in the bunker. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, what is stopping him from resurrection?
Starting point is 00:33:55 They need to kill baby Jesus. Yeah. That's bad to say. That's a sentence, isn't it? I didn't enjoy saying that sentence as it came out. They were like, oh, we've got to go earlier. And then they're like, no, it's too close to his birthday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:09 I've got to give him a month, a month of celebration. Yeah. That's not ruining Christmas. That's not wrong Christmas. Jen, any of them jumping out at you? You know what's jumping out of me. Don't tell me they're part of Brom.
Starting point is 00:34:27 Hell yeah. Hell yeah. And I thought it to be made by the same people who made Medea. That's what I want. Tyler Perry presents a black Easter. Yes. Fuck, yes. All right, Carl, that leaves you.
Starting point is 00:34:48 What was the penultimate one? That was the legacy sequel to Black Christmas with the sorority sisters. I don't know what Black Christmas is. At 38 years later, the sequel comes out. Yeah. Let's go to that. Go that? Yep.
Starting point is 00:35:09 All right, locked in for Carl. Here's who wrote the answers. the one about Harry Sinker having the worst year of his love. Harry Sinker is such a prehistoric. Harry Sinker. Harry Sinker. Harry Sinker. He's lost in a man.
Starting point is 00:35:24 He's lost in the token boy and he's me. Just end of the offie. See you in a mo. Harry Sinker's mugged off. High flying city girl Cynthia, played by Carrie Ross. That was Jen Fricker. Oh, nice. Love Carrie Ross.
Starting point is 00:35:45 I really had to think of an actress. I really had to think of an actress. I wouldn't remember her movies. But I know the name. Yeah. Now, Carl went for the legacy sequel. That was fun. Question writer.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Oh, yeah. Jane went for. And I'm so glad I didn't. I thought me breaking, because I hadn't pre-read any of these. I thought me breaking may have given them. way. But Jed still locked it in, which I love. That was Tim Hewitt.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Yeah. Yes. Martin Lawrence sent back in time. Did not see that coming. The tagline. Yeah. If people, connoisseurs of Great Martin Lawrence films would know Black Knight.
Starting point is 00:36:25 That's why I thought it might have been, you know, in the world. Yeah. The, like the extended universe. What's the multi-line again? You've got to tell me the tagline again. I know you won't put me the only brother on the cross. I was just thinking You're going to be married to
Starting point is 00:36:42 You're Mary Magdalene Probably like Yeah Stuff like that It'd be awesome Mary Magdalens like I should be attracted To my own son that way
Starting point is 00:36:52 I don't know Wait which Mary I don't know Whatever Yeah it's a different Mary But Yeah whatever Common name back then apparently
Starting point is 00:36:59 If you go I'm going to write a book I wouldn't have two key characters With the same name Yeah come on simple Basic basic Basic Basic
Starting point is 00:37:08 down the stuff goes yeah call a harry sinker uh all right and that means he is correct it is the extremist
Starting point is 00:37:18 group hijacking hell yeah to kill Jesus before he's killed yeah I think I'd vaguely heard about it it's awesome
Starting point is 00:37:25 they come back and and present day becomes a desolate so they do succeed they succeed oh I thought they'd be like I think it's a
Starting point is 00:37:34 Christian it's like pro-Christian it's like Muslim extremists It's mental stuff what they're making in that world. I'm going to be watching this. It must be.
Starting point is 00:37:42 It is awesome when like washed up actors, they go into that world, like Kevin Sorbonne and stuff. Like he's in that movie. Army Hammer, whatever this new. Oh, yeah, yeah. Have you seen...
Starting point is 00:37:52 Have you seen... Weirdly Nick Cage is in it, a film called Knowing. And it's about the rapture, about like, literally everyone just going to heaven. All the bad people are behind. And it is one the shittest,
Starting point is 00:38:03 but best films I've ever seen. It's so crap. There's a relatively new, Nick Cage movie where he plays Jesus and FAA queens The Carpenter's son Yeah yeah yeah I
Starting point is 00:38:14 I know a lot about Nick Cage films Yeah and he's got a lot Oh yeah he's probably up there With the most stavileth Yeah This is what Juan wrote of the movie Boy this one was a doozy I only watched the trailer
Starting point is 00:38:27 But it was honestly pure gold The wooden performances The awkward and stilted dialogue Example Save Jesus The military hit squad mowing down the white Jesus and his apostles and the cheap CGI desolate wasteland once they return to the present. It is no wonder that this film won best screenplay at the Kingdom
Starting point is 00:38:49 Wood Christian Film Festival. Oh, that's awesome. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I got a crossy. He's taking Jesus home tonight. All right. Well, before I give you the final schools, where can people find you, Jen? just on the internet at genfriker, genfriker.com. I'm doing as little as I can to maintain a presence. You'll get posts up to once a month. That gal, I like that.
Starting point is 00:39:23 No spam guarantee. Yeah, basically. Or if you're in my, the feed group or whatever, you know how like Instagram makes you do like a feed group that you can join? What is that? Well, it's just like a message group. every six months I'll just post three times
Starting point is 00:39:39 and that's about it that's kind of way of that I'm joining that right now oh you'll get some voice notes you'll get pictures of stuff I'm looking at really this is what this is why I wanted to do comedy
Starting point is 00:39:52 yeah yeah yeah just to maintain social media presence yes it feels good it feels good really good car what about you same
Starting point is 00:40:04 yeah just Instagram's probably the best one, isn't it? I put the odd clip up on there of stuff. It's just at Carl Donnelly. If anyone, listeners, if anyone has mailing lists, get on those. I've got one if you go to my website. And that means we don't have to fight against the algorithms of billions.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Oh, I did. I've just actually released a special on YouTube. Oh, sick. Yeah, last week. So that people can watch out. Awesome. It's called another round. It's actually a two-parter.
Starting point is 00:40:34 So you can watch. hangar in between. No. It just felt a bit too long to part. Oh, you do a setup. The YouTube kept cutting out. Too big an upload. It was just saying it felt long to watch us one thing, just an hour and 20 or something. So I cut it into two,
Starting point is 00:40:50 I released it in two separate parts. Yeah, cool. Oh, that reminds of my, I've got one coming out of 8th of August on the Humdinger channel. It's called Bad Boy. And Huey? Uh, yeah, at Huey Baby.
Starting point is 00:41:02 At on Instagram. Some exciting exhilarated. stuff. You're very good at social media. Especially when cricket's on. Yeah, yeah. I go in waves of being inspired. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:16 And your muse is a face filter that makes your head look like a block. Yeah, yeah. And then you're like, you're on a tear all of a sudden. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's the only reason I'm on Snapchat. Just looking for a new filter. That's the only reason. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:32 Don't follow me on there. Final scores After the last round Geez It was a big final round Meaning In fourth place On two points
Starting point is 00:41:42 It's Jen Fricker Woo Happy to be here End third on four points It's Caldonnelly In the second on five points It's the house But storming to 11 points
Starting point is 00:41:55 Wow The winner is Tim Hewitt Thank you so much This is big Thank you so much guys Absolutely fogged us This is awesome You, it's nothing here.
Starting point is 00:42:07 You're a winner all the time. Oh, no, no, no. I don't think I've ever won this show. So it's big, this is big for me. Yeah. Yeah. This is awesome. Anything anyone wants to say before we go?
Starting point is 00:42:17 I own the rights. Martin, get in touch. We're going to meet this together. Cheers for tuning to Huneo with Matt Stewart. Now that you know it, I've been Matt's show at. Goodbye. They can also see us all wearing hats. Yeah, I like it.
Starting point is 00:42:41 of it. I don't have a hat on. Yeah, quick gen, get a hat on. I'm a big hat guy and nearly no one ever wears hats. So I feel, I'm so glad to have you guys in here. Well, that's where you, the hat's just permanent sun protection. Anyway, I'm very pale. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:57 And I just like hats. I feel more comfortable than a hat. I like how yours is you've taken away a lot of what a traditional sun protecting hat would do. Yeah, this is not. Like this is a, brim free. Yeah, it's basically pure head protection. Yeah. For the crown.
Starting point is 00:43:16 It's for the crown. King. For king and country. Imagine a crown, but it's got a brim. Oh, no. Oh, see. Yeah, that's awesome. And the prince moves backwards.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Yeah. It's got the neck protector, like the primary school like sun block out at the back. Nice. Or a full wide broom. Like, you know, it's like a cowboy hat just with the. middle top bit taken out. Oh yeah. That's nice.
Starting point is 00:43:44 Why don't they do that? Carl? Why don't they do that? I don't know. I'll try it. I'll give it a go. I've tried some wacky looks in my time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Try something new. Invent a new hat. No one's invented a new hat shape. Yeah. When was the last few hat shape? I don't know. Yeah. Just to get it in.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Get it in the next pod. I think it's, yes. Hats are getting stale. They are. Do we think that society at this point, though, could accept a new hat shape? Given, like, how, I don't think anyone could wear a new hat at this point. There is the, I think you should leave sketch about the fedora with a flap. That was a bold new shape.
Starting point is 00:44:29 Yeah. That's the problem. You have to be such a brave person to try and crack a new hat. Yeah. Like, even just wearing, like, you know, pretty standard new hat for me would be terrifying. Yeah, I know, I know, just stepping out. The first guys bring back fedoras, you know, mock them all you will. But the bravery to be like, I'm bringing the fedora back.
Starting point is 00:44:49 It's pretty cool. I've got one pork pie hat. You know, the famous pork pie hats. And I think it's a lovely hat, but I once wore it. It was at the Melbourne Comedy Festival about two years ago. And I just wore it. I didn't wear it on stage. But I wore it.
Starting point is 00:45:03 I put it on afterwards. I walked into the Comedy Republic. Yeah. And Rebecca Rosten, who we would know, works for the comedy. festival just went oh hello Phil Jupiter's has just walked in. Oh okay. And I don't know who's ever anyone who doesn't know is a British sort of comedy stolewart of a long time and he basically always wears a little pork pie and for
Starting point is 00:45:23 some reason the moment she said that I've never worn it again. Even though it's not an insult he's a lovely man but it's just like the moment she said it was such a it hit such a weird nerve that I just lost all confidence and ever wearing it again. Yeah. Do you write your most vulnerable? Mm. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I think they're a good hat And I think an Englishman could really I mean I think You know Phil Jupiter doesn't own Southern Hemisphere pork pie hats
Starting point is 00:45:49 Yeah I did bring it with me It could be like a franchise Yeah it made the cut when I moved I reckon you could I mean I think the hat you are more known for wearing This brimless cap Is a bolder choice than the pork pie
Starting point is 00:46:02 Really? Okay I used to wear a little baker boy Sort of what some people would think of as a flat cap Yes But then where a peekie blinders came along and totally destroyed it because then it became almost like overwhelmingly worn by fucking ass-off.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Yeah, it's cool. Being right into piggy blinders is cool. Oh God, it's the worst. Not to go too far, but Warnie famously when he was definitely not getting a hair transplant wore a piggy blinders hat all the way through a summer of cricket.
Starting point is 00:46:31 You can't be an extra on biggie blinders, but they're like, he's teeth. Warner, you can't be just in the background of the piggy blinders. Century. Yeah. A lot of these German words are just like And I did find it with French as well
Starting point is 00:46:47 Sometimes you're just saying the English word with an accent Yeah yeah It does feel racist Yeah Yeah as I did it that I'm like Why am I saying it like this? It's pretty much Like yeah
Starting point is 00:46:57 Nipples Nipples just switches the A and the L It makes it Nipel Nipel Nipel Nipel Show me your niped I do
Starting point is 00:47:06 Just one Ein nipple Ein nipal Aineeple Didn't Did Hitler only have iron nipple No it was iron testicle Yeah
Starting point is 00:47:22 Imagine what's sick fucking word They come up with Testicle Boy comics So there's something Yeah Finally a comic for the boys This comic's just for the fellas
Starting point is 00:47:41 I was such a graphic novel Yeah There's he she Oh wow That's just how I dressed That's literally just what I wear it Every damn day Hayshey call
Starting point is 00:48:02 Yeah There's a quote The pool quote is chalk up another perfect crime for he she Hell yeah Signature laugh Tee he I can't remember when
Starting point is 00:48:26 But I was like I just found this With this letter saying Hello Mr. Who knew it? I'm like was it I can't remember if it was given to me in person Or if it was mailed here or what
Starting point is 00:48:39 But Appreciate it effort I'm going to use this book a lot. I'm like, that was only the first thing I looked at. I'm like, oh, there's got to be a lot of fucking gold in here. Can you do a quick like random flip through and then just
Starting point is 00:48:54 open a page and like read out a villain? Okay. Lord lazy. You're a man of courage, are you not? That's it closer. We shall grapple together. I like the idea that they're like, I don't want to talk to you. Come to me.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Come to me. Then we fight. And then I'll fight. But I'm not getting up. Typical using her woman's draggy women. Hey guys, that's what I'm more than this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:33 This is good. This is good stuff. He should be ready for it. Yeah. I work remake. In the public domain, we could make a movie with them right now. Yeah. Should we take it to Hollywood?
Starting point is 00:49:45 A trans wrestling league. And I feel like he or she would be an absolute hero of the T for T wrestling league. Yeah, yeah. Jeez. Eventually draw the attention of Crime Buster, an athletic team. Oh, yeah. These pet hunky squeaks. Boy comics, they really, it was like, we're just going to have a first crack.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Yeah, yeah. We're printing, master. The printer's already going. You're going to put something down. Enemy of. Maybe to give you a bit more time, I'll read out some more info about Hishi. It's John Morris wrote this book. So John Morris of Hishi writes,
Starting point is 00:50:28 Half man, half woman, all evil. A character is salacious and sensationalistic as Hishi demands to be introduced with such lurid hyperbole. The deadliest of the species is the female, continues the opening caption to Hishi's debut. The strongest of the species is the male. Combine these with the killer. instinct and you have the most cunning, the most vicious, the most fiendish killer of all time.
Starting point is 00:50:52 He-she may not fully deserve that particular accolade, but murder is very much in this two-faced wrongdoers wheelhouse. Based loosely on what was once a commonplace carnival side-show attraction, he-she is a unique villain in the medium meant to imitate bilateral ginatromorphism, a condition unknown in human beings outside of comics. I've got it. You've got it. Yeah. Oh my good.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Yeah. Oh my God. The first documented case. Well, yeah, I'm a comic, so I've got it. Oh, sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Still inside the comics. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Male along the left side, female along the right, he she earns a living as a serial bigamist by marrying gullible lonely women and slowly robbing them of their life savings. Unfortunately, sometimes wives get curious. If they are. Ask why they're... Lives do get curious. If they ask why their loving, cash-strapped husband hasn't removed his overcoat and fedora in three weeks of marriage,
Starting point is 00:52:01 or indeed has never revealed the right half of his body, then he, she, has no choice but to murder them. That's, uh, yeah, there you go. Husbands do be like that. Are you asked too many questions? You ask them and take the coat off. I'll mark you. Come on.
Starting point is 00:52:17 Get it up. What? I'm going to like, ah. Nag, nag, nag, nag,
Starting point is 00:52:22 make your jacket off. Take your hat off. We're inside. This aircon never kicked in, did it? Did it? Did that you reckon? You know,
Starting point is 00:52:31 pump it up a little? I just don't think I can do it. It just doesn't, I don't think the temperature has changed that all the whole time. They don't have aircon in the UK, apparently. So we don't know. I don't know what this is.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Welcome. Yeah, yeah. We love it. You can change the temperature. We love it. You can change the world's temperature. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:46 How does that work? What, turn the sun down? Steady on, Goff. I've just been in Australia. You should see the bloody nonsense there, do. They can't get rid of whatever. Their rooms are like ovens. You can, like, change the temperature.
Starting point is 00:53:08 It's like a fridge. But then it all, it all flows out the cracks. I think the English. People who come here, I was like, why your house is built for weather? Like, we'll have more AC here, maybe. I suppose not built for winter, are they? But not built. No, not built for winter.
Starting point is 00:53:26 As I've learned since moving. And I've had to purchase an oil radiator for my bedroom. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Construction industry here is. Good show. I'm like, I'm going to be political now.
Starting point is 00:53:42 You know, it's not really what the show's about. Oh, so. I brought it up. Take on the builders union. Go on. Yeah, I was like on. That's who I'm making. He's over that.
