Welcome to Who New with Matt Stewart, the show where the guest's right the wrong answers.
I'm the titular Matt Stewart.
first guest is a prolific actor of the small and big screens and hosts of Australia's
premier AFL adjacent podcast, Two Guys on Cup. It's Charlie Claussen. Hello, hello. I'm back.
My third time. Third time. We can't remember if you won the other ones, but I remember you
doing pretty well. Yeah, yeah. We had this discussion off here. It's like I think I do okay.
You know what I am? I think my who knew it a pedigree is like my playing career as an amateur
footballer, which is I'm a big-hearted trier.
Yeah, yeah.
Don't have much skill, don't have much ability, but I give it my all.
You're a team, team player.
Yeah, that's right.
I win the coaches award.
Yeah.
From the back pocket or the, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Our second guest this week is host of the mission, Zach podcast.
It's the people's champ, Mish, Big Wet Whitrop.
I am not a team player.
No, no, no.
I'm in this for myself and I will destroy you all.
Is I in the AFL, the Brownlow Meta.
is always,
Brown and Meadows always
saying something like,
it's not,
this isn't why we play it.
It'll be good to reflect on
after I retire,
but really I'm here to win Premish.
Mish is like after the Brown though.
Yes,
I did it.
Fuck the team.
Do you think if the AFL decided
they wanted to do a one-on-one league?
Oh.
Like,
do you reckon a lot of people
would get on board for that?
One-on-one would be interesting.
It's just a lot of bouncing, I guess.
Yeah.
Kicking in an open space.
Wait, should I copy-write that?
You should.
Like a half-quarter.
but just like that's two players inside the 50.
I don't fuck about.
Full court.
Still the MCG.
Yeah,
it's at the MCG.
What kind of player do you pick?
I don't know what that means.
Okay.
It'll be fun.
One team's like we're putting in a rockman.
Yeah.
And then the other team's just like this small speedy guy.
And then at the end they kiss like heated rivalry.
Oh my God.
Yes.
All right.
So the way the show works is ask a relatively obscure trivia question.
Our contestants have to write a convincing fake answer.
then read their answers well as a real one and have to guess which one is correct and the first
question comes from listener yasman lutherland from lancashire in northwest england and the question is
what does babyshed mean what does babyshed mean could you please spell that for me matt
b a b b b b y s y d uh and i was just lucky that uh yasman gave me a phonetic spelling
because I wouldn't have pronounced it like that.
Babyshed.
Babi shed.
Is that the place where you keep your babbies?
Don't burn it, Charlie, that's good stuff.
Now you're going to have to think of two answers.
While you're writing your answers,
I'll explain how the scoring works.
You get one point if your fake answer is guessed by the other contestant
and another point if you correctly guess the answer.
And by the way, I'm also playing into the house.
And I've put into my own fake answers for each question.
with the help of the question writer,
and we get a point for each one of those that our guests choose.
So each of us can score up to two points per round,
which seems fair,
but the probability actually favours me, the house.
The house always wins off.
If you've listened to previous episodes,
you'll know that is not necessarily the case,
and to even things out,
the guests get triple points in the final round.
Anyway, most of our questions come around.

com slash do go on pod,
which is linked in the show notes.
Oh, and I should say, well, I got you, me and Charlie just record an episode of his two guys one cup podcast, which would have come out a week ago.
So it won't be the freshest takes, but, you know, it wasn't that fresh anyway.
Yeah, we're not, we're not a topical podcast.
We're more a vibes-based podcast.
All right, the answers are in for question number one.
What does Babysheed mean, or Babyshed mean?
An agricultural tool used to unearth truffles.
A Lebanese term for when Baba Ginoosh has gone bad and shouldn't be eaten or risk terrible indigestion.
A steak and kidney pudding often found in British fish and chip shops.
A large cloak with deep pockets originally designed for women to hold their winter gloves but was commonly used by criminals and pick pockets.
Or a spoonerism of Yabby's bed.
It is a slang term for a farm dam.
Oh, okay.
I like that one.
So, hang on, did they have yabbies in England?
I don't know.
Can I Google out or is that against the rules?
I think that might be against the rules, but, um, yeah, you can't look it up.
No, I'm not going to look up at Babby Shed.
Do you mind if I look up on Babby Shed?
How do we know it's from England?
Because isn't she from Lankenshire?
Oh, okay.
Yeah, the question.
I just assume because she's from Lancashire.
year.
But, yeah, maybe.
And it sounds British.
It does sound British, isn't it?
It does sound British.
Does it sound more British or Lebanese?
The Lebanese one sounds, there's a little too much detail in that for me to think that's real.
I think Babi Ginoosh is just fun to say, isn't it?
Yeah, no, it wasn't that bit.
It was the extra bit at the end about indigestion.
Oh, yes.
It's just a little too much detail.
Terrible indigestion.
Not any old.
What are you reckon?
I think that the pie one is Charlie because of the whole English thing.
So that's, I'm suss on that.
Like every element of that is very English.
Steak and kidney pudding.
Yeah.
British fish and chip shops.
Yeah.
It's the most British sentence ever.
It's true.
Also that's the word British.
But also that little yabby, like, do they even have yabbies?
That's a big wedism if ever I saw one.
You reckon that's gameplay from Charlie?
I like the cloak.
I think.
think it's, I think it's truffles or cloak.
And I'm going to go for truffles.
Truffles.
All right.
Locked in.
Charlie, what do you think?
I'm so confused.
It's working.
I've got him.
You psychoanalysing me is maybe go, hang on, did I?
I can't, I mean, maybe.
I don't know.
I actually, I actually think it might be the stag and give me by because it sounds English.
Okay.
Yeah, I might go with a pie.
All right, locked in.
Here's who wrote the answers.
I've probably picked his.
Go on.
Lebanese term for when Bubba Kanush goes bad.
That was Yasmin, the question writer.
Good stuff, Yasman.
The spoonerism of Yabby's bed.
That was the house.
And yeah, Yubbies are in the Australian.
I did, I had to look that up as well.
I'm like, it does fit.
And it is, it's from an indigenous word, apparently.
For God's sake, I've picked his.
Go on.
A large cloak with deep pockets.
That was Mish.
And that was real big wet stuff.
Did you notice that she said she was really considering it there, Charlie?
Yeah, no, I suspected there was some...
No, no, no, I know what I'm doing.
It's fine.
Some fuckery of foot.
Mitch bluffs, then she double bluffs.
But by the end of the show, she'll be quadruple bluffing.
Okay.
Now, Mish went for the agricultural tool that is Charlie.
Well done.
Charlie's on the board.
and Charlie is correct.
It's a steak and kidney pudding.
The perfect first round.
Perfect first round.
I've lost my touch.
You fucked me with this live show.
We did this live show and you built it up so much and I failed hard.
And now I've lost my touch.
I don't know.
Big wet's drying up.
I've been building you up for a long time and, yeah, you rarely fail.
I love that you thought me genuinely going, oh, she's English.
So the English pie thing must be.
You thought that was gamesmanship.
You have to understand.
Charlie, when I come into this room, I lose my mind.
I assume everyone is awful.
They're all out to get me.
Like, I'm, it's something happens to me in this room where I become a version of myself that I don't like.
I swear to you, if I ever meet you outside of this room, I'm actually quite lovely.
Well, rest assured, I have no gamesmanship.
I have just like a babe in the woods just like blurting things out with no strategy.
or game plan.
Well, it's been working so far,
because the scores are up to one round,
Mitch in the house on zero each,
and Charlie out in front on two points.
Here is,
question number two comes from Timbers from Rockville in Maryland,
Maryland.
And for this one,
you just got to come up with a fake species of bird.
So I'll be asking you which of these are real species of birds.
So you've got to give us a fake species of bird.
Don't have to describe it or anything,
just the name.
Like the Latin kind of.
Not the Latin, the common name.
Okay.
While you're writing your answers, here's more info on Babi's Shed.
A Babi Shed, it looks like Babi's Yed.
But anyway, this is what Yasmin writes.
A Babi's Yed is a traditional part of a classic Northwest chippy tea, especially in Lancashire.
My nan would always ask her this from the chip shop when I was young, but it never clicked
until I was in my late teens that what she was saying literally meant babies' head.
because the shape of the little pudding is soft and white with a little dip at the top
like a baby's unfused skull.
This is dying out now in a lot of chippies, but is still proudly displayed on the ordering
board of the chippy in my nans village.
These delicate little baby's heads are often enjoyed with mushy peas and gravy.
Yum.
Hectic.
While we're talking, I'm editing our two guys one cup episode.
If you win this, I'll.
kill myself.
I understood God, if you win this, I will never come back on this show.
Oh, the stakes just got high.
What do you mean?
I've never been so in something ever and you're doing work.
This is just this, this is background noise for you.
And you've got two points.
This is horrible.
Sorry, go on.
answer to
question number two.
Which of these
are real species
of bird?
The common
chif-chaff.
Orange barbed garb warbler.
Or it's orange
barbed garb warbler.
No, it's probably the first one.
It's like you're not in the high school.
Mommy's foot minor bird.
Dog-faced woman.
Or the banty cloop.
All right, Charlie.
you go first this round.
Common chif-chaff, orange barb garb wobbler,
mummy's foot minor bird, dog-faced woman or the banty cloop.
So only one of these is real.
Only one of these is real.
Oh, this is tough.
They all sound like nonsense, aren't they?
They all sound like nonsense.
It's like chif-chaff, mama's boy.
Mommy's foot.
Mommy's foot, yeah.
Orange barb, garb, wabler.
Dog-faced woman, banty-cloop.
It's almost like you want to go for the most ridiculous one because, like, the dog-faced woman, the one that sounds the most legitimate is Mummy's boy.
I can't remember the name of.
Mummy's foot, minor bird.
Mummy's foot, minor bird sounds the most realistic, but that, for that reason, I'm like, that's, that's too, it's too legitimate sounding.
Right.
But then you don't want to go too far with a blasted orange ball gargler.
I think you've rejected some of that.
That's the garb warbler.
The garbler.
Ball garbler.
Sorry, the hated rivalry thing's got me.
You don't want to reject a ball garbler.
That feels too much.
But the dog-faced woman.
It's so ridiculous.
I sort of feel like, oh, that's the one you like.
Yeah, you can still pick it.
But maybe you're trying to get in my head.
Now that I know you're the Hannibal,
if you knew it.
I don't know.
I can tell you right now, Charlie, I am going to pick dog-faced woman.
I might be lying.
Yeah, you can both pick the same.
Dog-faced woman.
Well, I don't know, but it's kind of like, do you do this when you go out to a restaurant
with a friend, if they order something that you were going to order, I won't order the same
thing.
I'm like, I can't.
Like, it feels ridiculous.
We can't both order the same thing.
I don't like to pick the same thing someone else's picking.
Yeah, I agree.
But I want you to know that no matter what you pick, I'm going to pick the dog-faced woman.
Okay, but I feel like this could be trying to throw me off.
Yes.
What was the last one?
What was the last one?
The crew, the flying croup.
The banty clube.
Can you just read them all out again?
Common chiff-chaff, orange barbed garb warbler,
Mommy's foot minor bird, dog-faced woman, the banty cloop.
Banty cloop sounds like it could be legit too.
Like a Dutch bird
I don't know
And you're picturing
Mummy's foot minor bird
You're picturing like a mother
Or like an Egyptian mummy
No
A mother like a human mother
That would be funny though
If it was like an Egyptian mummy
Yeah like its feathers
Look like yeah
Gauls
Okay I should just pick one
right.
I'm going to go for dog-faced woman.
Locked in.
All right, so I'm not going to go for that one.
You promise.
No, I am.
I'm going to go for dog-faced woman.
Okay.
Locked in.
He's the right the answers.
The banty cloop.
That was Charlie playing a little big wetish there.
Getting a little moisture over there, Charlie.
Yeah, I see what you're doing.
Mommy's foot minor bird.
That was Mish.
Where are you picturing a mother or a,
No, I just panics.
Okay.
That sounded the most legitimate though.
Like, congratulations.
Thank you.
I was tempted, but it was too noise.
I know.
You don't understand how badly I was trying to get you to switch over.
Like, I was like, read them out again, please.
Don't forget about that one that you, don't forget about it.
The orange barbed garbwabler.
That was Timmer's, the question writer.
The dog-faced woman, I'm afraid that was the house.
Is that you?
Oh, you got us.
Do you remember that early Simpsons episode?
So were they going to like a Marge's auntie's funeral?
And Patty and someone were like, she was a legend.
And then Homer and his mind goes, yeah, the legend of the dog-faced woman.
Very good.
That's where that came from.
But that means no one got the correct answer, the common chif-chaff.
That was a good one.
That was a good one.
Yes.
Thank you, Timmers, for bringing that one to our attention.
So that means the house scores two points there, leveling things up to Charlie and the House on two.
Big Wet, yet to score.
Unfamiliar territory.
Yeah, don't love this.
All right, question number three, four different people sent this one in.
Adam Knight from Croydon in South London.
Caitlin Earl from Perth.
Henry Wilhoit from Newburgh, Oregon and Ingrid Francesca from Columbus, Ohio.
All over the world.
God's country itself.
International, man.
And their question is, what is the name of the racehorse that won the 1,200 guineas stakes in 1778?
So an 18th century racehorse with, you know.
That's crazy.
I didn't know when the horse racing was that old.
I didn't either, to be honest.
I didn't even think about that.
Was the birdcage still up and running back then?
Yeah, oh yeah.
Could you get tickets to the birdcage?
Yeah, the birdcage was, yeah, well, there was always a hot ticket.
Yeah.
You see NFL footballers in the 18th century
Trying to get in.
17th year.
It was just people,
it was convicts, I guess, back then.
It was similar to now probably.
We're wearing white leather shoes.
Yeah, yeah.
Oakley's on the heads.
The answer is in for question number three.
What is the name of the race horse that won the 1,200 guinea stakes in 1778?
Rudolph Butternut.
Kotu.
It's POT and then a bunch of those.
Irish pride.
Matilda's bad mistake or the winner of guineas.
A bit of nominative determinism there.
All right, Mish, back to you.
Rudolph Butternut.
Potu.
Irish pride.
Matilda's bad mistake or the winner of guineas.
Four people.
Four people.
Which means that this would have to be very good.
Yeah.
I quite like Rudolph Butternut, but I just, it's not, I don't see why four people would be like, oh, you've got to throw out this fun fact.
Right.
Yeah.
Sorry, can you just read them all again?
Rudolph Butternut.
Pottoo, Irish Pride, Matilda's bad mistake or the winner of Guinness.
Potu for some reason is really sticking out for me because it's fucking weird.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think it comes back that thing too as well of like the trend of naming horses.
Like Poutou seems like something I'd say 200 years ago.
Like it's some slang that we don't understand.
But what's happened now is Charlie's in my head.
He broke the water barrier and now he's in my head.
Don't read.
Don't read too deeply into it.
Yeah, I know.
but that's something I would say.
Charlie's water is broken.
That's what you're saying?
No, no, he broke through my barrier.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm going to go with potu because it's so bizarre.
Okay.
Locked in.
Shit, I wanted to go with potu.
All right.
So Irish Rodney Butternut, Potu, Irish pride.
Matilda's bad mistake.
Matilda's bad mistake.
And the winner of guineas.
The winner of guineas is intriguing, isn't it?
Hmm.
Like you say, the nominative, nominative, I can't say, nominative determinism?
Yeah.
Winner of guineas.
I mean, that would be like someone naming their horse Melbourne Cup champion.
Like, it's pretty cool.
Was the race called guineas?
It's called, yeah, 1,200 guineas stakes.
Winner of guineas.
And there are, yeah, there's a few different races that's called guineas, I think.
It's a pretty common name for a race.
It could just have been going around cleaning up.
It's also like, wasn't it like a racist term for Italians as well back of the day?
Yeah, guineas.
Yeah, that's what your white singlet was called, your guinea tea.
Right.
I'm going to go with guineas.
There's something about it.
I think it's just, it's so obvious.
I feel like maybe that's it.
All right.
Locked in.
Here's who wrote the answers.
Irish pride.
That was Charlie.
Yeah.
Matilda's bad mistake.
That was Henry, one of the question writers.
Rudolph Butternut.
That was Ingrid.
Another one of the question writers.
Any Ingrid.
The winner of guineas, Charlie went for that.
That was Mish.
And Mish is also correct.
It is Pottoo.
Oh my God, I'm back.
Thank Christ.
I just needed a point.
You can win, that's fine.
But if I'd got out with zero points.
Well, you've leveled it all up.
At the halfway market, everyone's on two points.
I liked Pottu as well,
but because you went first,
it's like,
oh,
I can't go pot too.
Yeah,
it's the dinner analogy.
Yeah.
And it is,
I wasn't,
I wasn't sure
how much to give away
about it
because it's literally
spelled pot
and then eight o's.
So it's pronounced
potatoes.
Pot eightos.
I hate that.
I don't know.
I've never,
I've never hated anything else.
Would you have gone for it
if you knew
that was what it was?
Well,
no,
the reason I went for it
was because that is so bizarre and four people set this in.
So four people aren't going to send in butternut, you know, Rudolf Butternut.
As far, I reckon it's a great name.
It's a fabulous name, but four people aren't going to be like,
Matt Stewart has to know this.
Yeah, yeah.
Although I'd welcome it if they did.
All right, question four comes from Jen Meister from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
And the question is, what is the name of a pitcher who played for the Detroit Tigers
between 1939 and 1952?
This is basically the last question again,
only instead of a horse, you're naming a baseballer from, yeah, the 30s to the 50s.
Just the name of a guy.
While you're writing around, since here's a little more info about potatoes.
According to Adam, the origin of his name is several different versions.
According to the most common, the breeder, Willoughby Bertie, what a name in itself,
intended to call the young cult potato and instructed the stable boy to write the name on a feed
bin. The stable boy spelled the name as pot followed by eight o's, like a failed attempt at spelling
phonetically, which so amused Bertie, the trainer, that he adopted the spelling.
Just thinking, it's funny that Charlie's fake answer was Irish pride and the real answer was
potatoes.
While you're still writing your answers, let's go for a quick break.
All right, we're back. The answer is in for question number four. What is the name of a
who played for the Detroit Target is between 1939 and 1952.
Here are your options.
Dizzy Trout.
Red Cracker.
Chapman Greenweiner.
Dick Butkus or regular Greg.
Okay.
Okay, Mish, I think we're back to you.
No, I did potatoes.
All right, Charlie, I think we're back to you.
Dizzy Trout, Red Cracker, Chapman Green wiener,
Dick Butkus or regular Greg.
Reg Greg.
There's some funny names in there.
Picture in the 30s, right?
Between 30s and 50s.
Yeah, 30s and 50s.
Dick Buckkus seems like I've heard that name before,
but I can't remember like if that's...
Dick Bucket.
In what context?
Yeah.
What was the other one?
Regular Greg.
In fairness, Dick Buckees.
Dick Butkus sounds like.
like one of the dumpy little
gins that I would have dated
at something.
Green wiener, what was his name?
Or her name?
Chapman Green wiener.
Great name.
Chapman Green wiener.
Yeah.
These all sound like...
I think that one's trying a bit too hard.
All of these,
don't you think they sound like
Bart Simpson calling up most haven?
Yeah, totally.
Dick Buckus.
I'm looking for a dick.
And what was the first one?
Dizzy Trout.
Dizzy Trout.
Trout, that sounds, that's good.
I like that.
Dizzy Trout and Red Crackard.
Yeah, Dizzy Trout, Green Weiner, Dick Butkus, regular Greg.
I mean, what is regular Greg?
I don't even understand how that can be a name.
Like, it's so weird, I feel like I should pick it because it's like, it's like, yeah,
Americans don't follow normal naming conventions, I don't think.
Yeah, but they also just don't use descriptors as names.
No, that's probably true.
Regular Greg.
They, yeah.
Slightly miffed pears.
Yeah, they meant to, they thought Reg was short for regular, you know,
parents were confused.
Were there any Hank's in there?
No, Hanks.
Hank's a great name.
Hank is a great dog name as well.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Hank.
Sorry, can you just run through them again?
Dizzy Trout.
Red Cracker.
Chapman Greenweener.
Dick Butkus, regular Greg.
I'm leaning towards.
Red Cracker or what's the first one?
Dizzy Trout.
Dizzy Trout.
There's something about those two names.
Red Cracker.
Dizzy Trout.
I'm going to go with Dizzy Trout.
Dizzy Trout.
Walked in.
All right.
So this is my theory.
Those were the two I really liked.
And I was like, I reckon Charlie wrote one of them.
I reckon he wrote Red Cracker.
That is an excellent picture name.
It is an excellent picture name.
I do like Chapman,
Greenweener a lot.
But see, the next one on is Dick Butkus.
That's, and I'm like, Charlie went on such a little thing about Dick Butkus.
I've heard that and that.
Ooh, that could be trying to get in my head.
But I really don't want to pick the same one as Charlie because then we're all just on the
same points.
Oh, this is so fun.
I love how Charlie, whether he's playing the game or not, it's, you're being affected
like a year's soon.
I reckon I can say, I reckon, you're your own worst enemy.
I know.
I'm in my fucking head.
but I do reckon whatever happened in that last round Charlie did something.
Okay, yeah.
No, it doesn't have to be that he worked hard at it, but he did something.
He made a move. He made a move.
He had to have.
He had to have because he commented on everything.
And I feel like he wrote Red Cracker.
That's my, that's the feeling I've got.
Right.
And I really wanted to pick Dizzy Trout.
I'm going to go with Dick Butkus and if Charlie wrote it well played.
Okay.
Yeah, well played.
All right.
Here's who wrote the answers.
Regular Greg, that was the house.
I don't know what I was thinking.
That just sounded.
It's fun to say.
I think it's got the double egg.
True.
But yeah, you're right.
It's just a little, a bridge too far.
Yeah.
A great too far.
100%.
Chapman Greenweener, which is also very fun to say.
That was Mish Whitrop.
That was me.
Trying to hard my ass.
Sorry.
Oh, you're all right.
I thought it might have been a listener.
That's all right.
Green wiener just rolls.
A Chapman is a...
Chapman, Greenwiner is a pitch of name.
Chapman's a wild first name as well.
Wild, yeah.
Like it.
Now, Red Cracker.
Did Charlie write that?
No, that was Jen, the question writer.
Oh, he wrote Buckkus.
Can't.
Dick Butchus.
Was Charlie.
Well done.
And Dizzy Trout is correct.
Good job.
Another perfect round.
Every round so far,
someone has had the maximum points.
Too good.
Holy moly.
Dick Butkus actually is a real footballer.
He played football.
We did a whole episode on Dick Buckkus on Tofop.
Okay.
That's why it came to mind because we did a whole episode.
How funny is that name?
And so I was just praying to God that you hadn't heard of Dick Butkus.
I have not heard of Dick Butkus.
Well done.
James Fosdyke did amazing artwork for that episode where he,
due an anthropomorphized penis kissing its own ass.
Oh, very good.
It was a linebacker for the Chicago Bears in the 60s and 70s.
Dick Buckus.
Great name.
It is amazing.
That is very good stuff.
All right.
Penultimate question comes from Ollie T from Finland.
And the question is, what is the correct answer?
So did I get it right?
Yeah, you got it.
Oh, sorry.
Did I not say that?
Trout is correct. And I was just
basking in my genius.
Basking in your genius or
editing a podcast, something like that. Yeah,
I'm writing show notes now.
Matt Stewart and Charlie, get together
to his guy? Yeah, right. So yeah, you
are, you, you wait the maximum
two points that round. So
with two rounds to go,
mission in the house are on two points a piece, but Charlie's out in
front on four points.
So penultimate question here comes
from Oli T from Finland. And the question is,
what annual festival occurs in the small village of Olean,
I should have looked this up, in Missouri,
what annual festival is held there in a small village of Ollien in Missouri?
So you want to give the name of the festival in a short description.
While you're writing your answers,
here's some more info on Dizzy Trout.
Jen writes,
Dizzy was a prominent player who was known for both his pitching and hitting abilities.
He was a two-time All-Star and also had a color.
personality that made him a fan favorite.
It's a great name, Dizzy Trout.
All right, the answer is in for question number five.
What annual festival is held in the small village of Olean or Olean, Missouri?
The testicle festival, a food festival dedicated to deep fried testicles with the motto,
we've got hot balls and cold, fuck, you know, we've got hot balls and cold beers.
The Big Hook, a festival of fish and fishing.
Festival Festival
A celebration of Valerie Val Torreello
The fictional best friend of Fran Fine
In the 90s sitcom The Nanny
I love that
That's not true
But I loved that show
Go on
The annual cheese festival
What does it have to do with Missouri though
Isn't that set in New York?
It is maybe the actress
Maybe played Val
Of the character
That seems very specific
I mean obviously that's not the festival
But let's keep going
The annual cheese festival, popular for its cheese hat competition
where contestants make and wear cheese hats
that are graded on look, fit and stability throughout the day.
Or finally, this sexy pig beauty pageant.
The local farmers present their sexiest pig to the judges
and the winning pig is the only one who doesn't get eaten in the evening.
Oh, Jesus Christ.
Oh my God. I was on board right until the end.
I want all of these
So I got testicle festival
The Big Hook
The Festival festival
The annual cheese festival
Or the sexy pig beauty pageant
Mish, what do you reckon?
I'm stuck between two of them
Okay
I'm not going to say which two
Okay
I'm just going to pick one
Okay
Don't want to slack yourself out
Well no in terms of like
What sounds like a legitimate festival
Like the sexy pig one
Could have been until the eating thing at the end
that just seems a bit fucking grim.
I'm going to go with the testicle festival.
Testicle festival.
Yeah.
All right.
After Charlie locks in his answer,
can you let us know what your other one you were thinking of was?
Yes.
After he locks in.
After he locks in?
Yeah.
Okay.
I like,
the most credible one seems to the cheese hat festival.
And I feel like I've seen stuff online about a cheese hat festival.
The sexy pears.
one I'm tempted by but I just feel like you wouldn't call it a sexy big contest like not even
in Missouri you don't even know anything about Missouri which is so funny
the marketing there in Missouri the marketing would be fun for sexy pig yeah um Val just feels
come on what are we doing I love that though festival festival and the big hook the big hook
and cheese seem the most legit but because they're so obvious and like kind of boring
I mean, I don't know.
I mean, one of them,
one's grading the durability of the stability of a cheese hat.
Yeah, but it's like,
it's something that you would hear about, like,
I mean, it seems legitimate.
That's that, that's why I'm like,
maybe it's too legitimate.
And the fishing festival is the same.
They're like a bit,
the two,
whereas the whole point of this show is to be funny and a bit absurd.
So testicle,
testicle.
That's what I picked.
Testicle and cheese.
Testicles and cheese.
My favourite combination.
I'll go with cheese hat.
Okay.
Those were the two that I was stuck between.
There you go.
So this really will, if he gets this, I will be so mad.
Because I was so close to cheese hat.
This is, yeah, the cheese hat.
You'd assume that's a winter festival.
Imagine wearing a cheese hat in summer.
Fondue festival, if it comes then.
All right, here's the right, the answers.
The big hook, that was Charlie.
The Festival Festival, that was the house.
Love that.
Love that.
I was pretty happy with it.
The sexy pig beauty pageant, that was from the sick and twisted mind of Olly T, the question writer.
Very Finnish, I guess.
That's classic Finnish writing, I'm sure.
Now, Charlie went for the annual cheese festival.
Mish said she was thinking about that one,
which is crazy after Charlie locked it in,
because that was Mish.
That's right.
You played this.
I know, why did you say after the fact?
Because I'm evil.
You're going to play it right to the end.
You want to know why?
Because I'm a bitch.
And that means Mish is corrected.
This is a testicle.
festival.
Well done.
We got hot balls and cold beers.
So again, every round so far has been a clean sweep.
Clean sweep.
So going to the final round now, House is on two, but Charlie and Mish are on four points
apiece.
The final round's worth triple points, but that doesn't really, isn't going to affect
the game because it's really a two horse race.
Anyhow, the final question comes from Kyle Kay from Kansas.
Oh my God.
KKK.
I don't know if I like that.
Kyle Kay's question is,
we finished with a usually a movie synopsis question
and we're doing that again today.
And the question is,
what is the synopsis of the 1969
Mexican film La Horipelante Bistia Humana?
Can you say that again?
La Horipelante Beastia Humana.
I can tell you the English translation.
Yes, please.
The horrible man beast.
It's about Broiden.
That's a man boost.
While you're writing your answers,
I found an article about the testicle festival written by Lisa Gutierrez
in 2025 for the Kansas Star,
Kansas City Star, writes.
Every summer for more than 20 years,
hordes of people flocked from nearby counties
and cross state lines to the tiny village of Ollion, Missouri,
where they waited in long lines to buy
hot, crunchy, freshly fried nuts, the testicle kind.
They're called turkey fries, but any similarity to French fries that accompany your burger
is purely accidental.
Deep fried family jewels help put Ollion and its annual testicle festival on the tourism map
until the organisers sort of, well, disappeared, leaving O'Ion Nutless for five years.
The festival roared back to life last summer, thanks to local restaurant owner Ronnecker,
Oron O'O'Hourne, who picked up the reins and threw a new and improved festival that drew some 4,000 testy tasters to a town of just 128 residents.
The festival's logo that year is a cartoon of a turkey, a pig and a cow working out at a gym with their privates dangling outside their gym shorts.
It's crazy.
I mean, it's a hectic image.
It's crazy, festival helper Haley Care said of the crowds.
and the long lines people stand in.
She said people get downright passionate about Rocky Mountain oysters,
the more elegant name for fried balls.
Other people call it cowboy caviar,
and some folks call it the original sack lunch.
That's good fun.
What happens in Ollion is not unique,
testicle festivals, aka nut fries,
pop up at restaurants and town squares
and American Legion halls from coast to coast.
Earlier this year, the American Legion in Deerfield, Michigan, for instance.
The post hosted its 24th testicle festival, serving up deep-fried bull testicles with chicken gizzards and other side dishes.
At the annual testicle festival in Watsonville, California last year, visitors plowed through plates of bull testicles,
played cow pie bingo, and voted on their favorite rocky mountain oyster accompaniment.
Near Kansas City, the town of Western Missouri launched its own testicle festival in 2022,
drawing 700 people in its first year, who made short work of 400 pounds of dead.
deep fried pig balls.
They have to be unceremoniously slit open
so they don't explode when they hit the hot grease, apparently.
Turkey testicles generally are about as big as ping pong balls,
according to Haley.
It depends on how proud the turkey was, she said.
We've come across some marble-sized ones.
I didn't realize turkey balls were that big
because you don't see them hanging down.
They're not swinging, Haley, remarked.
The article goes on, but I think we'll leave it there.
Final question.
What is the synopsis of the 1969
Mexican film La Horopolanti
Beastia Humana?
I don't speak Spanish, but I'm confident
that I've absolutely nailed that.
Here are your options.
When a mysterious meteorite crashes,
it transforms a colony of monkeys
into intelligent yet violent creatures
with alien-like abilities.
As the creatures descend upon a nearby village,
locals must band together to survive
the escalating attacks.
After discovering the meteorite,
the villages gain a telemarking
pathic connection to the monkeys, unveiling potential weaknesses.
Using this newfound insight, they wage a desperate battle of wits and courage to protect
their home and destroy the meteorite before it infects the world.
Jesus, okay.
Option two, after her husband goes missing at sea, a young mother must fend for herself
in a remote Mexican border town.
When a mysterious man arrives at her home, asking for lodging, she takes him in,
but soon learns he's harboring a dark secret that threatens her whole family.
option three mad scientist dr krelman attempts to cure his son's leukemia by doing a heart
transplant replacing his son's heart with the guerrillas the result of the operation
transforms krelman's son into a deformed and mutated man ape hybrid good stuff taking on
the characteristics of the organ's donor who immediately goes on a bloody rampage
or finally selma a local fruit shop owner has fallen in love with a wealthy and
stern Dorian, a music producer with a powerful aura and a mysterious secret.
He is half man, half chupacabra.
When Selma discovers Dorian's secret, she makes it her mission to have him fall in love
with her by pretending to be a half beast herself.
All right, Charlie, so you've got the meteorite, you've got a husband missing at sea,
you've got guerrilla heart transplant, or you've got half man, half man,
half chrippacabra love story.
Yeah, okay.
So, like, the first one sounds ridiculous.
Too much detail.
There's too much detail.
There's too much plot.
I do find sometimes when I'm reading them out,
I'm like, this feels like I've been talking for 10 minutes.
Yeah.
I liked it.
The second one sounds like an A24, like I could see.
I don't know.
Like, that's like a classy, classy picture, festival film.
What was the third one?
was the part of the third one?
Third one was Dr.
Krellman puts a gorilla heart in his son.
Yeah, that, that,
with bad results.
I don't know how you even do that.
Does a gorilla heart even fit in a human chest?
I like that one.
Far lap.
The last one, I think, I like.
That seems to sort of hit the sweet spot between,
yeah, that seems legitimate,
but also weird enough that someone would suggest that.
So I'm going to lock in Cooper Char.
All right. Locked in.
And Mish, what do you reckon?
It's the second or the third, I reckon.
Interesting.
The way you described it as being an A24, though, makes me go, you wrote that.
Do you know what I mean?
I'm just, oh.
Any, it's so funny, like, knowing that everything you say, Charlie, affects how Mish sees things.
I know, I feel really bad.
But, if you play this, I've got to, you two are going to, you two are going to
take each other on again.
It's like you're a paranoid wife who's sitting with the husband going,
God, the way he's drinking is water.
Like, I think he's having an affair.
Yeah, you've gotten in my head, man.
I haven't been this flustered in this room in a while.
For some reason, because now that we're even,
the win is important to me.
I think I need this.
I think Bigwet needs this.
Well, this is classic Geelong supporter versus Saint supporter.
Yeah.
Charlie's like, the wind doesn't matter.
I'm just happy to be here.
Okay.
So the reason that I'm leaning towards gorilla in his son is because that seems very
1969.
Okay.
Like Mexican film.
Oh yeah, it does.
I forgot about that.
So I'm going to go with that.
All right.
Locked in.
Here's who wrote the answers.
The one about the mysterious meteorite.
That was Kyle, the question writer.
I thought it was fantastic work, by the way, Kyle.
Needs an editor.
Second draft, Carl.
Which really is my job.
It did sound like.
watch the movie.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
I probably needed to chop off the back half.
Apologies for that, Kyle, you trusted me and I'll let you down.
You can't pick your own, can you?
No.
Great.
Now, the one that's A24-like,
Mish thought that was Charlie and was correct.
It was Charlie.
Charlie went for Selma, the local fruit shop owner slash lover of
Chippicabra.
That was Mish.
Oh.
And Mish is correct.
It is the,
the Ape Heart hybrid boy.
So Mish clean sweeps absolutely sopping wet in the end there from Big Wet.
Thank you.
I can tell you on Rotten Tomatoes,
this film has a 0% critical approval rating.
Zero percent.
Oh my God.
The audience, a little,
little,
A review from Jonathan Rosenbaum in part reads,
even the tolerant psychotronic encyclopedia of film deems
is totally tasteless and amateurish.
But Gorbuffs should be alerted to real open heart surgery footage.
And Tim...
Oh my God.
And Tim Brayton writes...
I don't think so.
I think they found like medical footage and just splashed it in.
That's fucked up.
Yeah, Jesus.
Tim Brayton writes simply a real loopy, real bad movie.
movie.
Okay, before I give the final scores, where can people find you?
So, Charlie, you do your podcast feed, everyone relax.
Yes.
It does the weekly footy podcast on Mondays, but there's a bunch of things.
Yes, so weekly footy podcast during football season.
We have a semi-regular movie show called the video store, not too confused with the last video store,
but I do with film critic Guy Davis.
We've just done a series all about Steven Spielberg's sci-fi era.
Then on Wednesdays, Will and I do Tofop, which is like the oldest, I think, continuously running podcast in Australia.
And then Thursdays is Will's highbrow interview show, Willowsy, where he chats to comedians about their life philosophy.
So that can all be found in the Ever and Relax Feed.
Yes, I've been on Willisophy and two guys are on a couple of few times.
and it's always it's a lot.
Oh, good, I'm glad.
We like that.
We don't want people to be traumatized.
You got any, anything coming out on the big or little screens?
Me?
Yeah.
No.
Prince of Persia 2.
Prince of Persia 2.
No, nothing, nothing as yet.
Or constantly in development.
That is my life at the moment.
Because you were just in Canada pitching a new year.
Yes, we have a short film that played at Fantasia,
and we were also invited to pitch our feature film at a film market there.
So that was a new experience, getting up in front of, like stand-up.
We got up in front of 500 people and had to pitch our film.
But it went well.
It went well.
We've got lots of meetings afterwards.
So we're hoping to be shooting this film next year.
Awesome.
All things going well, we'll be shooting.
If I could pitch you a couple of, you know, a couple of kooky,
friend type, you know, character actors.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
Well, there is a scene in which someone gets a gorilla's heart.
Perfect.
Yeah.
He doesn't done the research.
And Mish, where about you?
The podcast, the Mission Zach podcast.
We release episodes every Tuesday, Thursday.
We review films a lot of the time and have a bit of a chat.
And right now, we're doing films that are set in Edinburgh because that's where Zach is doing
as fringe.
Yeah, it's very cool.
We just, the first, when's this coming out?
Monday.
Literally like in a week.
One week, yeah.
So the most recent episode we just released was on train spotting, which is one of my
favorite film.
Ah, yes.
Awesome.
So good.
Ironic too, because like train spotting, the novel is set in Glasgow, but they
relocated to the film.
Really?
I didn't know that.
Oh, we probably should talk about that on the pot.
My son my girlfriend, my wife's Scottish.
And so she grew up in Edinburgh and she said it was kind of like, she remembers
them filming train spotting, but that was the big controversy.
It's a, it's a proudly Glasgow, the Norwegian story.
Yeah, it feels guys.
The soft side of Scotland in Edinburgh.
You were talking about, on the last episode of Tofop, I was listening to,
you were talking about train spotting and train spotting to.
I haven't seen Transpoting 2 yet.
We're doing that in a couple of weeks.
It's great.
It's really good.
It's one of my favourite sequels because they go so far from train swatting.
They don't try.
It's kind of like the anti-fan service sequel.
And I think it's really, really good for that reason.
I love that.
So yeah, just that at the moment.
So that's at Mission Zach or you can follow me on Instagram at Mishwitra.
Awesome.
And just a reminder, this is my new special bad boy came out last week.
It's on the Humdinger channel.
Check it out.
Maybe put a comment and do those things that help the algorithms.
Please.
If you listen to the latest episode of Two Guys One Cup with Matt Stewart,
you'll see a link to his special in the show.
Perfect.
Save me from doing it.
That's what you want.
All right.
Final scores.
Things change.
And it's amazing that every round someone clean sweeped it.
But the final scores, the house on two points,
Charlie on four points,
but with the triple points on the final round at a clean sweep,
Mish, big wet, wet, Whittrip.
The tide wave came in, finishing on 10 points.
Thank God.
I needed that.
I needed that.
You don't understand, I did come in here off the ass end
of a shocking live show performance.
So I needed this win.
Or else I was going to lose all my droplets.
Back on top.
Yeah.
I would love to say that I gave you the win,
but I tried my hardest.
I still couldn't get anywhere near it.
I don't know.
I thought you were right in the game.
Yeah, you were going to beat me.
It was a beautiful battle and I was playing the right spirit.
Yeah.
Oh, good.
Thanks so much for joining us.
And thanks for listening, everyone.
Give us a five star review.
Why not?
Tell your friends if you think you know anyone who might enjoy the show.
Anyway, cheers for tuning in to Who knew with Matt Stewart.
Now that you know it, I've been Matt Stewart.
Goodbye.
All I can say Charlie is good luck.
I'm putting so much pressure on your mission.
Yeah, no, this is what you did.
This is what you did for the live show, I think.
Oh, yeah, we did the live 200th and I really talked Mish up.
And then I absolutely, like, failed hard.
It was still pretty, it was still pretty close.
Ben was on that one as well, actually.
It was all Charlie's foes.
My nemesis.
My nemesis.
mnemisai.
You're the nemesiah.
That's all.
That could be something.
It's not.
All right.
No, you're done.
All right.
I'm done and we have it even begun.
That would be beautiful.
Have you watched Heated Rivalry?
No.
No.
I'm worried it's good.
It's too hot for my delicate taste.
It's horny.
Have you watched it?
I haven't.
Do they kiss at the end?
They kiss in the middle.
They kiss on all the parts of the body from like 10 minutes into the...
I watched it all.
So here's my heated rivalry tag.
Everyone was talking about this like horny, like this, no, it was just like hot hockey thing.
And I was like, that does not sound up my street at all.
But fuck, whatever.
I was cleaning my house.
I'm like chuck it on as like background noise because I like background TV when I clean.
And 15 minutes in, I'm just standing there with my Ajax and my like dirty cloth.
And I'm just staring at my TV, just watching these two beautiful human beings just like, fuck.
It was just like, Bill, this is the best Wednesday afternoon of my life.
And they are on opposite teams?
Is that the, that's where the rivalry comes in?
And it's heated because they don't like each other.
They're kind of like enemies.
But it's also heated because they rock hard for each other.
Wow.
Yeah, because it's ice hockey, I assume.
It's ice hockey.
So the heated is, there's some irony there too.
Yeah, a little bit because of, yeah, melt that.
Yeah, you get it.
Oh, it's amazing.
They come up with the name and then work backwards, I reckon.
I cannot explain to you how much this show has a hook, though.
Like I was in.
I was like, well invested.
Yeah, I don't know.
Because I'm normally like, you know, like a child when there's like kissing and stuff.
I'm like, come on, what do we need this for?
We don't need the kissing.
We don't have the kissing.
Get back to the hockey.
So you're saying that if at the end of AFL games they all had a little kiss,
would you have switched it off by then?
I'd be like, oh, guys, why we don't need this?
We don't need the kissing?
Well, they kind of do.
They all put their arms around each other and sing the song.
And I think there a few years ago, they went there.
Richmond players grabbing each other's dicks.
Yeah, that's true.
But is that true?
Yeah, yeah.
Like hit, yeah.
That's so.
But they were doing it funny.
It was funny.
It was funny.
It's funny when I do it like this.
Yeah.
I think it's normally,
normally when it's like kissing or love scenes or whatever,
when it's like a B plot about this.
I'm like,
I don't give a shit about these people.
I don't care about them.
We're watching a murder mystery.
Get back to the murder.
you ever seen 28 days later?
The first one, yeah, I reckon, yeah.
Yeah.
So that is not a kissy movie.
That's a movie about zombies,
then all of a sudden they're fast, right?
But at the end, right at the end,
they kiss,
and it is the best movie kiss of all time.
Okay.
Because they, like, earned that shit.
Oh, yeah, if they've ever earned it, then, right.
I think A characters can kiss.
Killian Murphy kisses someone.
Yeah, he kisses the woman,
the woman in it at the end
when she thinks he might be a zombie
and then they come face to face.
And it's almost like, it's not platonic, because there's romanticness there.
But they've been through so much and he survived and he just saved her.
And then the kiss is the whole like, not everything is fucked.
Do you know what I mean?
Like the world is not totally fucked because we've got the...
It's beautiful, Matt.
Don't look at me like that.
You're getting uncomfortable again.
Can we get back to the zombies?
Kissing scene I can remember is I saw Top Gun Maverick and Jennifer Connolly plays like an old sweetheart of Tom Cruise.
And they have this, like it's a total throwback 80s, loves.
seeing there's like billowing silk curtains and stuff.
And I remember seeing the cinema going,
watching Tom Cruise pretend to be attracted to women.
It's like,
this feels like mean that they're making him kiss a woman.
Oh, bless.
If you're going to do it,
Jennifer Connolly's a good choice.
Right.
Yeah.
I get it.
Right, boys.
Yeah, it just feel like,
Tom Cruise having to be attracted to a human almost as like.
Yeah, that's right.
pretend to be human and kiss a woman.
Yeah.
And would you say you don't have to,
you'd have listeners who don't even give a shit about footy, I imagine.
No.
You don't reckon it's the, I reckon people.
I mean, maybe.
I reckon people could listen and sort of follow on.
I'll tell you what.
You definitely don't have to be a football fan to enjoy,
if you just enjoy the sound of two people talking,
if you're like, if you want to clean your house,
but there's no more episodes of him,
rivalry to put on and maybe put on an episode of two guys wonk up.
Yeah, great.
Sorry, I haven't written my answer yet.
What heated rivalry has done now is it started this like influx of television shows
kind of aimed at 19 to 25 year old girls of just like hot people having a root.
Okay.
But like in a loving kind of way.
You know what I mean?
But it's horny stuff for young adults.
Horny love.
Yeah.
Horny love for young adults.
Sounds.
So I've got a flethora to get to.
But at the moment, I'm watching the insidious films.
Okay.
Not good.
Okay.
I don't know if I know them by name.
Yeah, Patrick Wilson.
Uh, honey from Sondseld?
No.
No.
No, he's, uh, you know Patrick Wilson.
He's the, uh, his Aquaman's brother.
He's Aquaman's brother.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
He looks like Oliver Clark.
Yeah, okay.
Oliver Clark, the Melbourne comedian, cabaret comedian.
I don't see that necessarily, but I kind of get on board.
Hang on.
Maybe just this picture that I'm looking at where he's got a mustache.
That doesn't even look like Patrick Wilson.
No, it looks like Oliver Clark.
Yeah, that's a picture of Oliver Clark.
I think it's just the mustache.
Yeah, no, I love Rohan H.J.
show at the moment, bludging on the blind side, which is very rugby league heavy.
So you'd get it more than me.
Are they still doing stuff?
Yeah, they've got a weekly show on the ABC, but it's podcasted.
Oh.
And I don't listen to podcasts.
I don't follow a lot of what they're talking about, but I find it so funny and fun to listen to it all the same.
And I think two guys one cup is an AFL version of that.
I don't think it's, you can pick up the storylines and stuff without necessarily having to care about footy.
Well, I'm not a big comic book Marvel person, but I enjoy listening to Nick Mason and James a lot.
Have a chat.
Same, yep.
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
They've been ducking me.
I've been trying to get them on, I'm doing another podcast at the moment, the one Matt, I've asked you to do, the opera shits.
And I've agreed, they've both agreed to come on, but then trying to get them to commit.
to an actual date.
Like I skip in radio science.
I'm like,
am I getting ghosted here?
This is really awkward.
Because they keep saying yes.
And they say,
hey,
here's some dates.
And then I hear nothing.
And then that time elapses.
And then I check in again.
And they say yes.
And then they don't commit to a date and time.
And I'm like,
how many times can I ask before I've just got to get like the message?
I'll give a one more.
Yeah,
you think three times,
third times a charm?
You know,
I would say they would be asked to do,
I reckon every day they'd be replying to a day.
they'd be replying to a dozen messages asking to do podcast.
Yeah, but this is me.
Yeah, I know.
This is me asking.
That's why you're getting a reply.
I think, yeah, I imagine they're just like, just busy boys.
Yeah, very busy boys.
I actually got a text from James on the weekend because it's become a bit of a running theme
when they're doing, you know, they'll do the caravan of garbage about like a franchise.
And there was a period of time in the 2000s where my name was getting brought up for a lot of like these big Hollywood roles like the Prince of Persia.
It's like if you got a I&DB trivia, it's such.
Charlie Clausen was in the running for this.
And then they must be doing another franchise because he texted me again to say, were you really up for this?
And like, no, I think what happened in the 2000s was that someone saw my photo on blue healers in a police uniform.
And then any film franchise that was to do with cops or whatever, it's like, this guy,
It would be great in this role, but no, I was never offered any of those parts.
And in one of them, the Prince of Persia one is particularly galling because someone took a photo
of me and was like, oh, this guy's going to be the new Prince of Persia.
And then I had all these people going, look at this guy, whitewashing like Persian history.
I have nothing to do with this.
Someone just, like, put my photo on a fan for him and then I'm getting attacked for being some
kind of racist whitewashing like Persian history.
And in the end,
And they went with, you know, a guy.
Jake Dillan.
Who is all racist who whitewashed Persian history?
Yeah.
Mmm, delicious little baby's head.
Yum.
I haven't had breakfast.
You're a black pudding guy?
Chilled baby brains.
You remember Indiana Jones, the Temple of Doom?
Oh, the monkey?
Is it?
Chilled a monkey brains.
freak me out as a kid.
That was my favorite Indiana Jones, actually.
Oh.
Back in the day.
The darkest one.
They're the bad one.
You betrayed Shiba.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's great.
Very good stuff.
So you know.
Just before you move on, Matt, do you think that bit where we talked at where you said
Nick Cave and TDK are like separated at birth is a good bit to put on the socials this week?
I can't mean.
I think it could be.
Wait, are you also editing?
video?
No, I'm selecting a clip to send to an editor to, to, to, if the editor, is the editor
going to put up pictures, if they were going to put up the side by side.
I'm just writing instructions to him now.
Can you juxtapose Nick Cave and TDK?
I think that, maybe that could be something.
That feels a bit niche, but yeah.
Yeah, well, that's our show.
True.
Well, that's interesting, right?
Because, like, in the 8th century, you imagine, like, you imagine, like, that.
like horse naming trends changed.
And so now it can be quite sort of cute and fun,
like, you know,
hopes dilemma or something like that.
Yeah.
But back in the 18th century,
they might have,
like, racist names for a horse.
I'm not even joking.
That was a phenomenal plucking of a horse name,
like hopeful dilemma or whatever.
That was really well done.
Hope's dilemma.
But back then,
I imagine it'd be like,
I don't know,
the shifty celestial or something like that.
Yeah, the dodgy Italian.
Ah!
Okay.
All right.
All right.
It's a horse name.
Just a horse name.
I really like your rug, Charlie.
Oh, this, that rug?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's really pretty.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
It's no, that's my wife.
I have no interior decorating.
That's her plant.
Well, pass it on to your wife because I'm,
I have rug brain at the moment because I need to buy a new rug.
So I'm just seeing rugs everywhere.
I'm like, that's a good rug.
Well, I have a big dog and he's ruined my rug.
This is awful for podcast.
Connor, good luck.
You can just cut this.
But I've got a dog that has ruined my rug and I need a new rug.
Yeah, my dog, she's down here.
Rosebud.
You can see her there.
She's also ruining rugs at the moment.
What kind of dog is Rosebud?
She's a cavoodle.
She's a straight hair cavoodle.
So she looks, everyone thinks she's a cuck of spaniel.
Oh, she's perfect.
But she's on heat at the moment.
So it's like, oh my God.
And I do not like her taste in men.
Relatable.
Me and Rosebud should go out sometime.
Galshner.
Just girls night.
Just me and Rosebud just out finding men that Charlie disapproves off.
Yeah, just set her up with some like, she just loves these dumpy, funny looking dogs.
Like no clock.
Same.
What the fuck?
You've got some tasting man.
Dumpy little cuss is like my ideal man.
Are you joking?
Literally everybody I've ever been with is a dumpy little cuck.
Are you kidding?
You're a rose bar.
Yeah.
I get her.
Treat her good.
She's going through some shit.
Yeah, she is.
Just had an invoice paid for $50.
How do you do?
Okay.
So we're going to hit the town after this?
No, it was one of those ones that, like, it was so old.
I forgot it existed.
And they were like, we're so sorry, we missed this.
And I'm like, oh, my God, money.
And then I opened it up and I was like, oh, it's 50 bucks.
Well, it's a tank of petrol.
Wow, how tiny is your tank?
I was going to say.
I have a Mazda, too.
Okay.
So it's actually not like, how fucking insane is that?
A half tank for me now is $35.
I used to be able to fill up a tank on 40.
I'm going to kill myself.
It's brutal out there.
It's hard out there, man.
Yeah, I mean, my first car was LPG gas, and the first tank I filled up full tank,
and this was in a sedan, like an old falcon.
And it cost me 25 bucks or something.
It's insane, isn't it?
I bought three capsicums yesterday for $9.
Oh, my God.
For three capsicums.
the fuck is that about.
Sorry, go on.
My wife's gluten-free.
A loaf of gluten-free bed is $14.
That's wild.
What is going on?
That's wild.
Do you live in Melbourne?
No, up in Byron.
Oh, yeah.
I was about to point you in the direction
of the best gluten-free bakery.
But it's in Melbourne.
Yeah, I do apologize.
Yeah.
That's right.
Thank you.
No, you're all right, man.
You're in Byron.
There's plenty of gluten-free bakeries in Byron.
There are.
All right, the answer in for question number three,
what is the name of the racehorse that won the 1,200 Guinea's steaks in 1778?
Rudolph butternut.
Potato.
Sorry.
Hang on.
Why do you pronounce it like that?
How's it spelled?
I put in, I added in, sorry, it is, petto.
It's spelled P-O-T-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-R-T-O-R-R-R-G.
Yeah, I don't know.
Yeah, are you all right?
No.
Like, my brain sometimes auto-complete things, and it's really right.
Can't Ridge would never do this.
Glenn Ridge.
Glenn Rich.
You're good, but you know Glenn Ridge.
I'm no Glenn Ridge.
I'm more of a Tony Barber type.
Oh, yeah, great.
No, no, no, I'm more of anterpy, I reckon, to be honest.
Terps.
Terps, supermarket sweep.
Look, I'll start again.
Is that Bo Meister's sister?
Bo Meister.
Who's Bo Meister?
He was a Saints, maybe 30 game player.
Yeah.
Kind of a deep, deep cut Saints football.
How long ago?
Maybe he played a couple games for the Eagles?
His name was originally, when he got drafted, his name was Bo Wilkie.
But then it turns out Wilkie was his, that was his father's name and he was raised by stepfather.
So he then went to his original name of Bo Meister.
No, his stepfather, his stepfather's name he adopted.
I think all reverse, Bo Meister.
So Bo Wilkie became Bo Meister.
Love Boe-Moy.
I don't know anything about AFL.
I really, really don't.
He looked a bit like Trey Parker from South Park.
Okay, that I understand.
Yeah.
Put it in a terms, you understand?
Sam.
Yeah.
He played 21 games for the Saints and 23 for the Eagles.
Wow.
As Saints supporters, like I said, I know maybe 10 players names all up in the whole
league ever.
As Saints supporters, how do you feel when I bring up Ricky Nixon?
Oh, great.
What an awesome dude.
Just I'm sorry, but every time as someone who doesn't follow NFL properly.
Sink he'll to school.
Is it a player you know of all the Saints players?
Well, was he a player or was he a coach?
It was a player and then a manager.
And a player manager, yeah.
Of course I do.
That was so.
dramatic everything that happened there.
And he broke into the comedy industry for a bit.
No, he did.
He did a show at the comics lounge, I'm pretty sure.
Oh, and his catchphrase was chicken train, toot, toot.
Doot, toot.
Oh my God, what a loser.
He did a book launch outside of Port Melbourne Bakery.
I think it's like a memoir and autobiography.
And in his memoir printed, he had hyperlinks.
Not in the E version of his book,
in the actual printed version,
he had hyperlinks.
So, finish your chat, you can check it out here with a hyperlink.
Honestly, what a loser.
What an absolute fucking loser.
Sorry, please continue.
That's so funny that you've heard of him.
He seems like...
Oh, I remember him.
Oh, yeah, that's pretty big story.
He did, maybe.
My favorite...
Yeah, just for being just a gross unit,
like just one of the worst people on the planet.
Yeah, of course I remember him.
Sorry, I'm sorry if you're mates with him
No, I've never met him
But he, uh, he was a, he was a same player in the 80s.
Okay.
And that, that might help you understand.
Yeah, that helps me understand for sure.
Yeah, he, um, he also, when he did his big sort of like interview with Mike Sheen
where he's explaining, you know, what happened.
He tried to allege that it was a conspiracy.
The police had framed him like, because there's that very famous footage of him
shot by that teenage girl of him and his underwear.
In a hotel room.
Cunning up lines of cocaine.
Yeah.
And in this city he was like,
I spoke to my mate.
Just,
just him in a hotel.
It goes right to the top, Ricky.
And it's like, yeah, mate.
The police department are trying to set up you.
What we need to do to bring down Ricky.
Put him in a hotel room,
rackin lines with a teenager.
Yeah.
Let's do it.
We need the, yeah, the saddest thing ever caught on camera.
So grim.
Oh my God.
I don't think about him at all.
But yeah,
chicken tra-
I was after that
that he was doing
some version of stand-up comedy.
I wish I'd known.
I would have been front and center.
Yeah, okay.
For that absolute dumpster fire.
He was a powerful,
in the 90s,
he was a powerful player manager.
Well, way to ruin your legacy, my guy.
Oh, totally.
He had like some of the, I think he managed like a lot of the big names, but he, yeah, he lost his license because of all.
The great betrayal of him, that girl who had released nude photos of Nick Revolt, who was one of Ricky Nixon's clients.
So can you imagine being Nick Revolts?
My manager, who's meant to look out for me, has gone, has had an affair with this girl who released nude photos for me.
And Nick Reveld had nothing to do.
Nothing to do with me.
Like, she stole those photos of another player's, like, laptops.
Yeah.
It's so wild.
And people are still confused by that.
Poor Nick, that would have been awful.
It's so rough.
It's like, yeah, that is awful.
Yeah.
But it, and the, the roughest thing is that he, his community, the footy, blokey community
means that there was no sympathy.
He was, he was mercilessly roasted for it.
That's wild, isn't it?
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, poor Nick.
So basically being assaulted.
Revenge porn.
Yeah, that's incredible.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
Oh, was that an accidental thumb from you, Mish?
Or you just real happy with your answer.
An accidental.
I'm giving one a big thumbs up.
No, an accidental thumbs up.
This one isn't my best work.
Okay.
The games begin.
Who's your rugby league team?
The Bulldogs.
Bulldogs.
Unfortunately.
Yeah, right.
Have you got an NFL team?
Jolong.
Oh,
must be nice.
That's good.
Well, no, because I moved to, this is my story of Jolong.
I moved to Melbourne when I was eight.
And when we moved here, moved from Tazzy,
my mum wanted to show my sister and I a whole bunch of Melbourne things
so that we wouldn't feel like uncomfortable.
I don't know.
So she took us to an AFL game and it was Jolong versus Collingwood.
And it's when Gary Ablett, Buda Hocking,
Billy Brown, as they all played.
And I thought that, I loved Buddha Hawking more than anything,
but I genuinely.
Whiskers.
Yeah, so good.
But I genuinely thought that Gary Ablett could fly.
Yeah, yeah.
That's the most insane thing I've ever seen.
Oh, was that the game that he took that mark that he touched the ball for half a second?
It was like a mark of the year.
I think that was against the pies, yeah.
Yeah, and they beat the pies.
If that was that game, what a wild first game.
What a hockey roll his ankle that game.
Okay.
But anyway, I saw that and I was just like, well, that's the best thing of it.
So I went for Geelong ever since then.
We moved to Melbourne, my entire family jump ship and went to Essendon.
Oh, well done.
Well done.
I stayed loyal.
Oh my God.
That is a,
that is well played.
Yeah.
In terms of,
you know,
mental health.
Yeah.
Thanks.
Yeah,
but doesn't,
isn't Geelong
that kind of like
team that everyone hates
because they always do pretty good?
Yeah,
I don't know if everyone hates them,
but they do,
they resent them.
I think resent is more.
Yeah.
You know,
like,
and it's the kind of thing,
it's the kind of sport,
like a lot of sports.
Like,
if other people,
other people,
other people like your team,
you probably haven't had a lot of success.
You know,
that's like,
oh,
they're our second favorite team
means,
you know,
you're pretty hopeless.
Yeah,
I would say so,
yeah.
Saints are in a funny spot
because we've got a coach
that people don't really like.
So we're like kind of not very good and not like.
Don't like him morally or don't like him as a player.
Oh,
I think they,
I don't know.
We're just sick of him.
Sick of him and he's,
you know,
he's a bit grumpy and stuff.
And,
yeah,
he has,
yeah,
yeah,
I don't know,
morally might be strong,
but he's definitely a grump.
He's a grump and, you know, there are things that people have said that,
like, if you ask Broden about him.
Okay, I'll ask Broden about him.
You won't like him after he talks to you about him.
Well, Broden's my go-to.
Whenever anything happens in any kind of sport thing,
or like if I'm meeting someone who's been done sporty stuff,
I always message Broden.
I'm like, what's...
Can I double check?
Can I double check?
Yeah, it was funny, Charlie.
when Mish said, oh, who else is on the pod?
And, uh, I can I remember what you said something like, are they, yeah.
Well, no, I mean, I guess it is, this is honestly kind of depressing,
but it's just happening I have to do now.
It's like whenever you check who's on to see if there's dodgy.
Yeah, no.
Oh, right.
If I've got some, have I been canceled?
Yeah, not you specifically, but like anyone.
Before, but yeah, before she asked who's just double checking who's on.
Yeah.
And I said Charlie Clausen,
Mish goes, please don't say someone who's crook,
that would be a real drag.
And I'm like, I go, Charlie Clausen, I hope he's not crook.
Man, I'd be depressing to find out.
I think I've been cancelled yet.
I don't know.
Apart from whitewashing the Prince of Persia.
Yeah, other than that.
Yeah, that's a ticking time bomb.
That's going to come back up again soon.
I'm sure.
Have you listened to the first few,
episodes of Tofop, like, I'm surprised.
Like, if people wanted to go back, like, we started recording Tofop in 2010, where we
would get pretty drunk before we'd start recording.
And so I'm sure the first 100 episodes, there's, like, bad stuff in there.
I think if anyone...
If anyone wanted to cancel anyone, you'd find it away.
Like, everyone has done silly stuff when they were young.
And out of context, is, you can...
Transcripts of podcasts.
I think everyone could look pretty bad.
Even like, I think I've got friends, like friends of ours, that when we were like 20,
there's photos of us at house parties just with like a bong.
Oh, okay.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Why did you look at me like that?
Well, I was assuming that was going to be a sort of face painting sort of thing, if you know what I mean, but no.
A bong, okay.
No, but you know what I mean?
Like you could do any, like this, any, like, all, so I'm a wide variety of shit.
Anyway.
Yes, no, 100%.
I, um, and it's funny.
I mean, it's a, it's a depressing thing about still being on Facebook is the memories that come back.
I've been on Facebook for a long time.
And you see stuff, you're like, not necessarily bad, but just cringy.
Yeah, like jokes that you're like, oh, go.
I don't stand by this.
I don't remember being a person who would even, yeah.
I did a Facebook status in, I would have been 19 maybe, um, just going on this rant about how much I hate Jennifer Lopez.
And it's so unfair and mean, and I don't know this woman.
And I read it back, this is about like, I know a few months ago when it popped up as a memory.
And I was just like, what a horrific bitch.
I'm a horrible person.
Totally.
When we were doing live shows last year, I was doing this thing where I would go back and read my Facebook statuses from like 2009.
And, oh my God.
Like, I don't know who that guy was 16 years ago.
Yeah.
Just the desperate need to be like enigmatic or cruel or, you know,
and back then, like, your status would be like Charlie is
and like wondering what life's all about.
You know, shit like that.
Oh, God, the cringe.
Did all the humble brags?
Charlie Clausen has been editing this film for,
can't wait to show the people what he's been working on.
Like, fuck off.
Mine would be like lyrics to Kings of Leon songs and stuff like that.
Like, look how alternative.
Oh my God.
I'm so indie.
I was so indie.
I would take photos of me wearing converse and stuff, like high tops.
Like a fucking idiot.
Anyway.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let's just,
let's turn off the internet and start again.
Yeah.
100%.
I agree.
I've been saying that for years.
Yeah,
that would be great.
Now I'm going over to Instagram just to see what's up over there.
Yeah.
Hey, you know what?
I'm going to follow Charlie.
Yeah, yeah.
Go on.
I made a friend today.
You'll see Matt Stewart, a clip of Matt Stewart
comparing Tom DeCone to Nick Cave.
You know about at least once a year
I have a little Nick Cave week
where all I really do is listen to him
and like get real fucking into myself.
Love it.
And post photos of your converse.
Yeah, 100%.
That's still left over from when I was 19 years old.
He's a, I'm a fan too,
but man he has some of the mix of like some of the greatest lyrics
and some of the corneest.
Yeah, I know.
But come on, into my arms is a perfect song.
Oh, so good.
That's a perfect song.
What's the...
Let me read out.
I almost think I want to use it as a question on the show one day.
This is lyrics, the first verse of his song, Mermaids.
She was a catch.
We were a match.
I was the match that would fire up her snatch.
Yeah.
There was a catch.
I was no match.
I was fired from her crotch
Now I sit around and watch
Yeah
He's a cuck now
I think that's gotta be
I mean
That's got to be one of the craziest verses
But he's like seen as a brilliant writer
Some people can just get away with more
Because of a reputation I reckon
Oh I'm sure
But and maybe that is brilliant
And I don't get it
It's also very possible
No it's also possible
That he was just having a moment
when I can release this and make a lot of money.
Yeah, yeah.
Me and Dave Warnock, he find out of her,
because he supposedly goes to his basement,
puts on a suit, goes to his basement,
sits at his typewriter.
It's just so funny to think of him writing,
sitting at a typewriter on,
I was fired from her crotch.
Yes, yes.
Now I'm getting somewhere.
Here we go.
Good stuff.
