Welcome to Who New with Matt Stewart, the show where the guest write the wrong answer.
I'm the titular Matt Stewart.
Our first guest is a comedian and also the host of,
the Confessions podcast, it's Sammy Peterson.
Thank you so much for having me, Matt Stewart.
I'm working on a new character.
So that's a new character I'm working on.
I just elongate certain words.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
I haven't said it's a good character.
I think we're in that time of the year
when you're really working on your material.
And I've been doing a lot of that on stage going,
oh, that's a new character.
I'm working on.
I'll never do that again.
Beautiful time of the year.
And our second guest this week is Geelong's finest.
Take that portion to Rosset.
Fergus Neil.
Wow.
It's a pleasure to be here.
It's a best intro.
It was a really good intro.
Because it is, you know, it's pretty competitive.
Schuster.
Yes.
Oh, yeah, but he's gone downhill, Schuster.
He's not even doing stand-up anymore.
He loves the Westfield there.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
He had a great joke about Hungry Jacks back in the day.
The Wopper Meal, the Star Meal.
And piss on the bed.
Piss in the bed.
We won't go into any of them for you, but you look them up.
Yeah.
I can't do all of his jokes.
No, he's one of the best.
So, yeah.
Equal.
But your mom's finest, that's great.
It's a pleasure.
He's just, uh, he's just, uh,
re, on the second season, Jonathan Chuster.
He's talking about it.
He's just on now.
Oh, no, I know, I've met him.
Second, what's, uh, on Humdinger, he's got a show called, uh,
yes.
Fubbilling.
Yes.
And I loved it so much.
Every time I saw him, I bring it up.
And he, about 12 years after the first season.
Oh, is it coming back?
And he cast me in, uh, the first episode because I'll, he's like, you're the biggest fan.
So the way the show works is ask a relatively obscure trivia question.
Our contestants have to write a convincing fake answer.
I then read their answers well as the real one.
I'll have to guess which one is correct.
And the first question comes from listener Dan Krause from Ottawa in Kansas.
Right name.
A different Ottawa.
That's fun.
Hey, that is fun.
Paris, Texas.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
San Remo, Philip Island.
What?
Yep.
Is that true?
Yeah, that's the original one.
All the parts is named after.
Dan's question is, can I double check?
Either of you know German?
No, because if you did, this question would be quite easy.
All right.
The question is, what does the German phrase, and I haven't looked up how to pronounce it,
Hustu Ainan Vogel mean.
So you want a literal translation and then how that phrase is used in a sentence.
Yeah, so it's more like an idiom, I guess, than a, it's not a,
want the literal translation and then the non-literal way it's used in German.
Can I hear it one more time?
Has to Einan Vogel.
Okay, I think I've got it.
Really?
Hey, okay.
Can you text it to me real quick?
And while they're writing their answers, I'll explain how the scoring works.
You get one point if your fake answer is guessed by the other contestant.
And another point, if you correctly guess the answer.
And by the way, I'm also playing as the house.
Oh.
And I love the house.
And he loves the house.
I love the house.
He's a real company.
Yeah.
The horse.
Yeah, and I've put it into my own fake answers for each question with the help
of the question writer.
And we get a point for each one of those that I guess choose.
So each of us conscripted two points per round, which seems fair.
But the probability actually favors me, the house.
So to even things out, the guests get triple points in the final round while the house does not.
And by the way, most of our questions come from our great Patreon supporters.
If you want to submit a question, sign up on any level of via Patreon.com slash do you on pod,
which will be linked in the show notes.
All right.
The answers are in for question number one.
What does the German phrase, Hust, do Einen Vogel mean?
Have you not felt the feeling of flying to mean you are sheltered and unadventurous?
Ferg gave me a little,
which I think might mean that that's his.
Oh, he gave something.
Maybe that's the bluff that he's,
you know, maybe I can't call the bluff.
It's very early in the game.
Yes.
You need that,
you need a control before you.
I know, I went too hard.
Option two, it means on the house,
as in tonight the drinks are on the house.
Oh, he's done it again.
See, this is what I was worried about.
I shouldn't have brought it up so quick.
Option three, I had a cloacal kiss.
We didn't make a noise there.
Yeah, interested in cloacal kiss.
That's shorthand for, I had a bad first date.
Cloakle kiss.
That's a cloaca, isn't it?
The bird of the, the, pillow and the piss.
Might write some of these down.
Yeah.
I can remind you of them.
Oh, he's recording it.
Don't worry about it.
For my safety.
Option four, sausages for breakfast used to mean today we eat sausages for breakfast.
Okay.
Or finally.
I'm thinking it thirks that one.
Direct translation.
I thought about everyone.
Can I lock all of them in?
Well, you're not even, you're not meant to guess, Ferg.
You're meant to guess the correct one.
Oh, yeah.
Okay, I'm in the game now.
Well, finally, directly translates to, do you have a bird?
Meaning, are you crazy or are you nuts?
Okay.
So you got, Ferg, you got, I'll just give you the literal ones.
Yeah.
Have you not felt the feeling of flying?
On the house, I had a cloacal kiss, sausages for breakfast.
Or do you have a bird?
And give us the phrase again, the actual phrase.
Hust do iron and Vogel.
Okay, I think I know it.
You think you know it.
You think you actually know it.
All right.
Sammy's going in first too.
What do I have to go in first?
If he knows, sir.
I already locked that in my mind.
The beef.
Okay.
The beef.
Okay.
I'm going to go the cloacal one.
Cloackel.
All right, locked in.
I'm looking cloacal.
That's what I feel.
What do you think, Ferg?
I'm going to go for flying.
Flying.
Flying.
Have you not felt the feeling of flying?
All right.
Locked in.
Okay.
I mean, it's a better one.
Michaeloacal one wasn't that great.
Well, they're both sort of related.
That's actually true.
What does a calico do?
Lies.
It flies.
Oh, that's true.
Okay, I'm back in.
All right, here's the answer.
Tonight, the drinks are on the house.
I was Sammy P.
I heard house and I went, that's going to be house.
That's going to be a house from me.
Fergus wrote sausages for breakfast.
I knew that one.
Really?
Yeah.
You set up everyone.
Your eyes lit up with sausages.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm a bad liar.
I'm a bad lot out.
It's tricky to record around lunchtime.
It's true.
I know.
Thinking about them sausages.
Now, Sammy went for the cloacal kiss.
That was Dan, the question writer.
Good on you, Dan.
That's a great one.
I like that.
So a point for the house there.
Yeah, good on your house.
Ferg went for,
have you not felt the feeling of flying?
I'm afraid that was also the house.
Really?
What is it?
The correct answer was,
do you have a bird?
And that's a common saying.
It's a common saying, basically, like,
are you crazy?
Oh, my God.
Do you have a bird?
Do you have a bird?
I like that.
I like that.
I think it's a good saying.
It's a really good saying.
Do you have a bird?
I wonder if that's to do with the word for flying.
Do you have a bird?
Like I think in that German phrase,
I heard a word in that German phrase.
Oh, you know, there's some,
like I think in German bird might just be like,
you know, we call a fly a fly.
Oh, true.
Yeah, that's true.
I'm serious.
I'm serious.
Yeah.
I'm saying the etymology of the word.
I think it's from fly.
Yeah, okay.
So you're, you're, you're, you're,
already thought in your head that you locked it in because you're like, I heard this.
I've heard this.
You got it.
And you know what?
That's what Matt's so good at this.
I think you did fall, you fell a little bit into Dan's trap there.
He, because he said, um, uh, does Dan have a trap?
Well, Dan said he's like, his fake ones, right, were a little bird.
Mm.
Yeah.
So I think, yeah, I think you might have, I didn't know Dan was so diabolical, but.
Oh my God.
And my, so did you like my, um, my, putting mine in a sentence, I thought was quite fun.
just on the house.
And I went, what do I say on the house?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
The drinks are on the house.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I thought it was really good.
Yeah, real clever stuff.
I think I really showed how you understood the question.
I thought so too.
I thought it was quite nice.
I should have done something other than sausages,
something that moved.
I think sausages are fun.
Through the air.
Yeah, but sausage is German.
Sausage is German?
Yeah, very German.
Oh, could be more German than a sausage.
But then maybe the German went for sausages.
Sure.
Yeah, and what they say like Brastwurst?
Brastwurst.
Brattsworth?
Bratwurst? Bratwurst? Bratwurst, I think it is.
Brat worst. Beautiful sausage.
Have you been like a bratty kid comes from? They've been a bit sausage-like?
I don't know about that.
Okay. Well, question without notice.
You've been a bit sausage. Yeah, come on. I didn't do the research.
Question, so that means that you both gave a point of the house.
So after one round, house on two, you two, nothing.
Nothing for us. A piece.
Add it together, still nothing.
Question two comes from Kelly Clark from what Jukkah, Nunga country.
Okay.
Kelly Clark, I'm afraid.
Kelly Clarkson's dad, I guess.
I guess.
That's how it works.
Do you answer that?
So the question is basically wants you to come up with a fake species of bird.
I mean, you're in their mindset now.
Oh, now you are.
Yeah.
You don't have to describe it or anything, just the common name of a bird.
You know, you wouldn't do emu or something.
It's going to be something a little more obscure and odd.
Yeah.
Can you explain this to me like I'm 60 years old?
Um, just, all right.
So, an example of a, of a previous bird name in a previous episode might be something like, uh, the, the fluffy headed pipsqueak.
You know, something, it just, whatever it is.
Something you think sounds real, but it's just a bird.
But yeah.
I do do do.
Yeah.
Oh, this, this might, okay.
This might be right up your way.
Or do I.
Oh.
Oh, no.
I'm trying to catch that plus.
I don't know.
I get the game.
I get the game.
You got an idiot.
You got to fuck it.
Yeah.
Holy shit.
I was all the way in there.
All the way in.
While Ferguson writing his answer,
of that German phrase,
Dan writes,
paired with other words,
Vogel can mean idiot,
strange and essentially odd duck.
Similar to the English phrases.
This is what I wrote in,
odd duck.
That's a type of bird.
Apparently,
it's similar to phrases like,
bats in the belfry.
Is it belfry or belfry?
Rat worst.
To have a screw loose
or to be off.
your rocker.
To be off your rocker.
I love that as a saying.
It's a great saying.
When you cross, my dad still says,
God, I'm cross.
I love that.
I just think it's such a,
like an Australian thing.
Is it?
Your cross is it.
Oh God, I'm so cross right now.
Just a bird name.
Okay.
Cockatoo.
But they can't be existing now.
No,
it can't be existing.
Okay.
But how do we know that map?
Because that's the thing.
Well, you can't.
But you know, you take a big enough swing
that you'll know it's unlikely.
Okay.
Interesting.
And the answers are in.
Whoa, this is huge.
That was quick.
All right.
It's a telethon.
Question two.
I tweeted mine.
Which of these is a real species of bird?
The blue crested lanky janker.
Bar-tailed godwit.
The mea culpe dove.
Pacific rock gobbler or blue bell.
They're all good, aren't they?
Particularly one of them is really good.
Let's just say that.
One of them is really good.
Can you read them again, please?
Sure.
Blue-crested lanky janker.
Bar-tailed godwit.
the Mia Culper dove, Pacific Rock Gobler or Bluebell.
All right, Ferg, you all go first this time.
A lot of birds are interestingly, either from the Latin word
or they're named after people who have discovered them.
Oh, really?
Okay.
So that's why I'm tempted to go for the Latin.
I'm hearing a bit of Latin and a few of those ones.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, mea culpa, that's Latin.
Well, just mea culpa meaning Latin.
I think it's a legal term.
Legal term.
Isn't it like I'm not taking, I'm not taking any credit for this?
Someone said that to me.
They've said me a culper.
What does it mean?
I don't know what mea colper mean.
I think it's an influencer as well.
Yeah, isn't it a rule that goes into Housels and if it doesn't spark joy, she throws
it out?
Is that mere culper?
It's the exact opposite of what I said.
What is that?
It's an acknowledgement of your error or guilt.
Oh, guilty bird.
Yeah.
Angry bird.
And a dove symbol of peace.
So it's a peaceful dove going, my bad guys.
The Doug's actually cry, man.
When they do, I know you still.
I know the sound.
Yeah.
And how could I know the sound if they don't do it?
That's true.
Okay, that actually did make me think.
All right, Ferg.
So you're thinking, you're thinking of Latin?
I'm going to go for the blue.
There's two blue.
There's the blue bell and the blue crested lanky janker.
Oh, yeah, the blue bell.
Blue bell.
Locked in.
Sammy P.
Can I...
Me, a culpah, I don't know if that's going to be a goddamn bird.
What was that funny sound of one?
That funny one at the end.
Pacific Rock Gobbler?
Mart-tailed Godwit.
I'll go that one.
Bartale Godwit.
Godwit.
Godwit.
Well, you made a noise then.
I'm just interested in your answer.
Very interested in my answer.
Ferg's looking at you like an absolute fool.
Yeah, okay.
Okay, no, I'm going to lock it in.
Locking it in.
I'm going to lock it in.
Okay, here's who wrote the answers.
The Lanky Janker, that was the house.
The Rock Gobler.
That was Kelly.
Also the house, okay.
So you've avoided the house this time.
This is huge.
Which is big.
After last time you went all house.
I know.
All in.
Now the Mayor Culper Dove.
I think this was, this deserved more because it was played so beautifully by Fergus.
Oh, good on you.
That's good.
What does that mean?
Oh, that was great.
Yeah, yeah, I like that.
And you played along with it as well.
Yeah, well, in full well, what you did.
Fergus is a first time player.
You want, I'll, I am the house.
I'm sort of playing against you, but I will help you out.
If you're throwing like that to me, I'll,
Matt won't leave you drowning.
It's quite nice.
I kind of want, I'd love you to pick each other's every round.
That'd be, that'd be fun.
That's a dream game.
Yeah, there's a dream game.
Yeah, it's dream game.
With no one's.
My heart's not in it.
Yeah.
I do, I find it, I've always found it a bit awkward because I can win this show.
And it's like, hey, friends, you want to come and play a game on my show?
and then go, thanks for coming.
It's this game that I've designed.
And I won.
So thanks anyway, thanks for dropping by.
I really needed that day.
Really good with my spirits.
It's like primary school
and your friend invents a game just to destroy you.
No, yeah, you can't do that.
With your own rules.
It doesn't make any sense.
Now, Ferg went for the bluebell.
That was Sammy P.
Got you on the bluebell.
And the bar-tailed Godwit, which Samma went for is correct.
Is it really?
It is.
What does this bird look like, man?
I want to know what this goddamn.
Is Bluebell a real bird?
I think it's a real kind of cheese.
Oh, I thought it was a cheese.
Okay.
A bluebell sends.
Blue bird is a real bird.
I think I've been in a group scenario where someone said, oh, that's a blue bell.
Okay.
Hang on.
If it's a real bird, I think I'm going to have to give you a...
Oh, no.
Is it a real bird?
Oh, there's a bell miner or bell bird.
Oh, that's what I was thinking.
Bellbird.
Bell bird.
Is a blue bell bird blue?
Is a bell bird blue?
There are, it looks like there might be some blue bellbird.
Can you give me half a point?
I don't think it's worth a point.
I think it's worth a point.
I think I have been a somewhere
Someone said, oh look, it's a blue bell bird.
Yes.
Oh, okay.
Have a look at this beak on the Godwit.
Wow.
A bell bird.
Oh, that's quite a nice looking bird.
Yeah.
Elegant.
Very elegant.
Very sexy looking bird.
Do we all agree it's sexy?
Do we all agree it's sexy?
I think that's a sexy.
That bird is sexy.
I'm horny for that bird.
It looks a bit like a duck mixed with
You're obsessed with ducks today.
Yeah, you said duck already before in the podcast.
I think it's disgusting.
I'm so sorry.
So Sammy P takes both points there.
Huge, huge.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Leading to question number three,
this one now,
it's a great support of the show
who actually passed away last year,
but she had sent in a bunch of questions
and I'm like,
I hope her family don't want.
Oh, that's really sad.
But I'm like,
Um, they'd be cool to keep reading them out because you write, right,
yeah, absolutely.
Yeah.
So this question comes from Linda Moulton from Gainesville and Florida.
And the question is the 26th U.S.
President, Theodore Roosevelt, big fan, had many pets while in the White House.
But what kind of pet did his daughter Alice have?
Just realizing it's another animal.
Another animal.
It's a very, it's the animal special.
So, so.
I love this game, by the way.
Oh, great.
I'm glad.
No, I feel exhilarated by it.
Yeah, great.
Okay.
You re-energized.
Maybe it was good that we did my podcast first and then this one because mine, you're not getting an energetic.
It's no energy in mine.
It is.
I think it's really built for people who are comedians like this sort of stuff for the most part, I think.
And yeah, I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Okay.
I'll come back anytime.
So it's the pet name and the kind of animal.
Theodore Roosevelt, obviously, 1930s president.
Yes, is it?
Yeah.
1930s?
Really?
He's the one that, um, that, um, that, uh,
Robin Williams played a statue of in Night of the Museum.
He preserved all the parks.
Oh, okay.
He preserved a lot of parks.
Yeah, right.
He invented the idea of national parks.
Really?
Really?
How do you invent the idea of national parks?
It was going to be, you know,
it was slightly early.
He was apparently 1901 to 1909.
Okay.
Did he invent a couple of decades off?
Because the trick is there's two Roosevelt's as well.
And I reckon maybe the other one.
he's the one with the mustache.
Then there was also Franklin.
Yeah, Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Oh, yeah, okay.
I don't know which one was which.
Yeah, okay.
This is the mustache guy.
One of them invented National Parks.
When you talk about this.
All right.
Yeah, I'm going to figure that out now.
I'm going to, I can do a new fact check if you want.
While you're reading stuff, you're going to do.
Yeah, do you want to do that?
I've already sent him my intimate.
Okay.
Well, while you're doing that, I can let listeners know a little bit about the Godwit.
It was first recorded in the 1400s.
Or the term Godwit was first recorded in the 1400s
and maybe an imitation of the bird's call
or be derived from the old English godwit with an age,
meaning good creature,
perhaps referring to its eating qualities.
Good eating, I don't think it eats well.
Yeah.
I wouldn't eat a bird that looks that good.
Not a sexy one.
No.
I wouldn't eat that thing that you're talking about.
You never know that.
I can't even remember the name of it.
Gordon Kelly holds the record for the longest non-stop migrable.
route and is native to North America and Australia.
Oh, wow.
President Theodore Roosevelt did not create the National Park concept.
America's first National Park Yellowstone.
Oh.
Was signed into law by Ulysses C.S. Grant in 1872.
But hey, still, that's a great fact.
Yeah.
But it would be a great fact if it was true.
It was a, yeah, an attempted pluck, had a fact.
It was pretty good.
It was a great pluck.
Yeah.
Had some good plucks.
You had the German pluck before.
I think they're this pluck as well.
All right, answering for question number three.
26 US President, Theodore Roosevelt's family.
I had many pets in the White House.
What did his daughter Alice have?
Where did he six in 1901?
Man, that's been out of three wild.
God, they've been at it for a while.
God, they've been at it.
I don't know.
One that was when the first Australian.
Yeah, I know.
Prime Minister, which was John Howard.
John Howard was the first Prime Minister of Australia.
Oh my God.
Prime Minister for 100 and some great stuff.
20-something years.
Yeah, that's right.
Can't be more specific than that.
Okay, so what did Alice Roosevelt
have a Herbie the Squirrel.
I like that.
Emily Spinich the Garter Snake.
I like that.
Shetland Pony called Nancy.
Like that.
A pet rock named Gumbo.
I do like that.
Or a goldfish named Hurricane Holly.
Hurricane Holly.
She sounds like trouble.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Sexy too.
Oh my God.
No, Sammy.
Okay.
Let's read the room a little more.
Okay.
Let's just have a quick check in.
A fish is not sex.
Not sexy.
Yes.
Okay.
I got it.
I'm ready to eat a fuck fish.
I'm not eat a fuck fish.
Okay, Sammy.
Yes.
You'll go.
What do you reckon?
Give them to me again one more time.
Herbie the squirrel.
Emily Spinnich the Garda snake.
Shetland Pony named Nancy.
Pet Rock named gumbo or goldfish named Hurricane Holly.
Because no, gumbo was a big name in that part of the century.
You're doing this.
No, I'm just, I'm just what you're doing.
I'm plucking.
You're plucking.
I'm just plucking.
I'm just plucking.
He's just pluck a duck over here.
So it's one of you.
It's when you catchphrase.
There's pocket-doch with?
Another bad.
I'm going to lock in
Hurricane.
Hurricane.
She had a beautiful little goldfish
and she loved it very much
and it was the sexiest fish
you've ever seen.
What is happening?
I'm just having some fun.
I'm going to go
which was the Nancy the pony?
Nancy was a Shetland pony.
Yeah, I'm going to,
I just think presidential pony
daughter.
It does make sense.
It does make sense.
I could have a presidential pony.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, what do you mean to make a
Makes sense.
I don't like that.
I don't know he said presidential.
Make me laugh.
Okay.
Makes sense.
Wait now,
no,
no,
no,
I don't like that reaction.
That that was a good...
Run and have to revoke.
Okay.
I'm going to revoke.
And I'm going to lock in gumbo.
Gumbo.
Gap.
Pet rock name gumbo.
Pet rock.
Yeah.
Okay.
Sounds wild.
Because I think the gumbo,
I don't think that could have been made up by the house or Sammy.
I think that seems like a very ancient.
Okay.
That's what you think.
You know, there's like the stats when you put into Google how many times been mentioned?
I'd say, gumbo would be low.
What about pet rocks?
I think, did they happen in 1901?
Rocks?
They have rocks?
I don't think they did.
I'm, I'll be disappointed if it is, Nancy.
But I just think that a pet rock, it just stands out to me as I don't know if that could be made up.
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
Well, here's who wrote the answers.
God, I fuck that bad.
I fucked that.
So bad.
Well, let's find out.
Oh, God.
Okay.
Herbie the squirrel.
That was Fergus.
That's nice.
I like it.
Yeah, Herbie, very American name.
Very American.
And also squirrel.
But hard to bring inside.
I know.
And I should, if I was,
I think Americans pronounce squirrel better.
They say squirrel.
Squirrel.
I can't say,
Kirby the squirrel.
Herbie the squirrel.
Herbie the squirrel.
And Harby the squirrel.
And Harby the Squirrel.
Herbie the squirrel.
I love it so much.
Squirrel.
Squirrel.
Squirrel.
Like twirl.
Like, we say twirl.
Like, we say twirl.
Squirrel.
I wonder how they say twirl.
I don't even want to know.
Because it'll probably make you really horny.
You don't make me horny.
Everything seems to at the moment.
Yeah, I know.
It's weird.
Weird mood today.
Now, you almost went for Shetland pony name Nancy,
but you didn't because you thought Sammy might have written it and you were correct.
Yes.
That was incredible.
That's why I fucked it.
Oh, my God.
What a read.
Yeah.
I saw a flicker in the eye.
I've got to be excited.
I was like, he's doing it again.
I saw the joy.
That's why I can't do this next time.
Uh, now, or can I?
You switched over to a pet rock named Gumbo.
When you say it like that, it says.
I'm afraid that was the house.
And I absolutely lucked on Gumbo.
Credit.
Credit to the house.
How did you come up of gumbo?
I can't remember.
Just free ball in it, you know?
Yeah, okay.
A bit of free association or whatever.
It's good luck.
And I was trying to see you off it because I'm pet rocks were
became a big thing in like the mid-century, I think.
Because I would have thought in the, in that early part of the 20th century,
that maybe there was some osseous.
And that a pet rock would have appealed to the people.
Yeah.
My daughter's got a pet rock.
Apparently, it was commercially.
It's a bit sad.
Pet Rocks made the inventor a rich man in 1975.
From rocks, from selling rocks.
Yeah, but he put them in a, in a, it was somewhat like a,
Gugly eyes.
Yeah, Gugly eyes and a little, they're fun.
Instructions and stuff.
He sold them.
He made a lot of money.
He made a lot of money.
Gosh, those stories are annoying.
No.
It's a rock and giggly eyes.
You're like, I can fucking...
You never get to what this rock needs.
Good stuff.
And that means, oh, hang on.
Sammy went for a goldfish named Hurricane Holly.
That was Linda.
Oh, good on you, Linda.
Oh, my God.
Thank you, Linda.
And that means no one got the correct answer.
It's probably the most ridiculous of a ball.
Emily Spinach the garden snake.
Really?
She had a garden snake.
Yeah, I would never pick that.
No, never.
Rock seems more watertight than a snake.
Yeah, I know.
Definitely go for that.
She could have had both.
She could have a Shetland pony, but she did not.
The house had, like,
They had heaps of animals when Theodore Roosevelt was in, including a bear named Jonathan Edwards.
Oh, from crossing over, John Edwards.
I think so.
I think so.
I'm going to cross over and become a bear.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm getting, uh...
I'm getting bear.
Getting salmon.
What do you keep talking about salmon?
That means again, you've given two points of the house.
Lordy, Lordy, Lord.
I've got to get one soon.
And you will.
Yeah.
I'll just keep it going.
Yeah.
Keep it going.
Keep plucking.
At the halfway market, Fergus yet to score.
Sammy on two,
but out in front of the house on four points.
These are good ones, Matt.
These are hard.
These are very difficult.
Question four comes from Nick Dennis from Edders in Pennsylvania.
And the question is,
What is noteworthy about issue three of Jab from or JAB from Adhesive Comics?
It's a comic book I've never heard of.
I've heard a Jab.
Oh, you've heard a Jab.
Yeah, I've heard of Jop.
Oh, you're in a strong position already.
Yeah, I heard don't get it.
So what's, what's...
Matt, that's a COVID reference.
Yeah, it's fun.
Because you don't believe in.
Because I don't believe in the big hoax.
I don't believe in the big hoax.
That's why I make sure to represent my listenership every episode.
We have one believer and one non-believer.
And while you're writing those answers,
here's a little more info about Alice the Snake.
Linda writes, according to the National Park Service website.
Oh my God, the National Park Service website, Fergus.
You just said that you thought this guy invented National Parks
and I'm about to read from its website.
So maybe it was connected somehow on a different level.
Anyway, Theodore Roosevelt began his presidency in 2001,
along with six children and more animals than the White House had ever seen.
The Roosevelt Children's family of pets include a small bear named Jonathan Edwards,
a lizard named Bill, guinea pigs named Admiral Dewey,
Dr. Johnson and Bishop Doan,
are fighting Bob Evans and Father O'Grady.
Oh my God, these are all so good.
No, Nancy.
We might have to, if anyone wants to send in a follow-up question,
with any of these.
There's Maud the pig,
Josiah,
the badger.
Maud the pig is fantastic.
Eli,
Yale,
the blue mccor,
Baron Sprekel,
the hen,
a one-legged rooster,
a hyena,
a barn owl,
Peter the rabbit,
and Algonquin the pony.
There was a pony.
Al-Gonquin the pony.
Al-Gonquin the pony.
Al-Gonquin the pony.
That's a fun name.
Hey,
can I tell you one fact about this garter snake?
Apparently,
Emily Spinich,
was bought by Alice's brother,
Quentin,
She's business-minded,
along with three other snakes
and they set them loose in the White House as a prank.
That is hilarious.
And they received their name from Alice
because she was as green as spinach
and as thin as her aunt Emily.
Oh, that's nice.
I'm sure Emily loved that.
What do you call this snake again?
She kept saying that.
Yeah.
And why did you call it that?
Because I'm thin.
Because I'm thin.
Because I'm thin.
As a snake.
As a snake.
All right, while you're still writing your answers,
go for a quick break.
All right, we're back.
The answers are in for question number five.
What is noteworthy about issue three of Jab from Adhesive Comics?
Here are your options.
It featured multiple copyrighted Marvel and DC characters leading to adhesive comics
being sued and bankrupted.
It was the first time Jab was printed on matte paper,
giving it a glossy finish, making it a collector's item and limited edition.
The middle page featured a skateboarder from the state of Philadelphia.
Philadelphia. It was never released because protesters burned the factory down.
Edition three.
It's edition three.
I don't know.
Yeah.
They got winded.
Something was in there.
They were like skateboarders.
Going to the source as well.
Yeah.
Or finally, each copy was shot by a gun.
Okay.
These are great.
These are real good ones.
They're real good ones.
All right.
I believe Ferg, it should go.
Can I call you Fergberger?
Yeah.
Thanks.
I prefer it.
Thanks.
I prefer it.
If anything, I'd prefer it.
I've never been to Fergberger in.
Yeah,
it's like a fancy burger place.
It's a very big franchise in New Zealand.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
Ferger Burger Burger.
Ferger burger.
Yeah, the snow place.
But how would they pronounce that, Sammy?
You do a great Kiwi impersonation.
Ferg burger.
Pretty good.
That is really.
Well, it's at least as good as the other ones we've done.
I know.
At least.
At least.
At least on bar with that.
I'm going to lock.
I think it's,
because the question was,
was it a noteworthy element about this magazine?
Yeah,
yeah.
I think the mat stands out to me.
The matte.
Matte.
Matte.
The gloss.
Yeah.
I just think that would really stand out.
I think every magazine,
wait,
wait, wait,
why are you nodding like that?
I can't do anything.
I'm just nodding.
You started it.
Remember right off the bat,
you started that.
It's a real game of poker.
No,
you started the,
You're like over-analising Ferg's face.
I know.
You started out of noise.
With your horniness for animals as well.
Yeah, I shouldn't have started that.
That wiped my mind for a while.
But now I'm back locked in.
To Dot,
thinking about me loving these animals.
I think I'm going to go to Matt.
Going to go Matt?
I think that's something that was quite big.
Okay.
Yeah.
What do you, I need to know.
Can you give me it?
Because I don't think they were shot.
Okay.
I'll give you a reverse order.
Shot by a gun.
protesters burned down the factory
always a skateboarder in the middle page
from Philadelphia
mat paper
or went bankrupt
for using copyrighted characters
I thought Jab was like a skateboarding magazine
like it was in that world
yeah
well I actually don't know what it is
I will say you're the only
one who was
is
you just had a skateboarder from
Philadelphia in the middle.
I don't think that would be revolutionary then.
You know, if it was a skating.
True, if it's a skate magazine, yeah.
I like them that one, but I'm going to go for,
I'm going to lock in the DC, the longer one that you had there, Matt.
Can you do that one more time?
It featured multiple copyrighted Marvel and DC characters leading to them being
sued and bankrupted.
I'm going to do that one.
All right, locking it in.
This is the only of the three jab magazine because they were bankrupt.
her up.
Oh yeah,
maybe not that one.
Come on.
No,
I'm going to have to look that one in
because I don't,
yeah,
okay.
All right,
here's the road
the answers.
It was never released
because the factory was burnt down.
That was Nick,
the question writer.
Oh,
thank God.
Good on you,
Nick.
Thanks, Nick.
The middle page is always
a skateboarder from the state
of Philadelphia.
That was Fergus.
I did,
I edited on the run a little bit
because it's saying you caught a
one issue having a skateboarder in the middle.
Always having a skateboarder.
Yeah.
I'm like,
And I, you know when...
Well, maybe that was a mission statement at the beginning.
That it will always have a skateboarder in the middle.
Yes.
Every time.
Like the back of a mad magazine with the...
So I don't think I did you any favours there.
That's okay.
I think grammatically I could have done it better.
Now, Sammy went for being bankrupted.
I'm afraid that was the house.
Damn it.
I also do not know what this comic is.
I was assuming it was like a comic book comic.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But it's a skateboarding magazine, is it?
Job.
I think so.
Oh, really?
Okay, right, right.
Actually.
Can I look it up?
Oh, you'll look it up after.
Oh, yeah.
Fergus went for the mat paper.
Which, doesn't Matt paper have a non-glassy finish?
I don't know.
Anyway, that was Sammy P.
Yeah.
Your instinct was right.
Yeah, I did that again.
Got a thrill.
I know.
It's not good.
It's not good.
Reading you like a, yeah.
Like a jab.
Matt might have been glossy.
And, oh, it might be.
In my head, it was the, yeah, non-gossil.
But you're a glossy guy.
I'm a glossy guy.
That's true.
Yeah, Matt isn't glossy, is it?
Matt Black is like, you know, you see a Matt black car.
Oh, yeah.
It's a matte finish.
Matt finish.
And that means I'm going to correct.
Each copy was shot by a gun.
Wow.
Why?
What's the magazine do to them?
I, Nick has written an explanation.
It's a self-defense.
And I have not read it yet.
I think it was self-defense.
You know, in America.
They're coming up.
Jab's coming right for me.
He was coming right.
So every issue they would shoot a bullet through it.
That's the third edition.
The big are hard to read.
Maybe they'd line up a bunch.
You could shoot it through maybe 20 at a time.
It's a crazy publishing house.
Yeah.
Why do you need to do that?
It does make it cooler though.
It does make it cooler.
Yeah.
Is it definitely a gun?
You just haven't used a hole punch.
Yeah.
I want to see the shell.
Give it the casing.
So that means Sammy gets a point.
The house gets a point there.
Okay.
You're going to get this next one.
I can feel it.
And don't.
And remember, triple points fine around.
So still truly anyone's game.
But the penultimate question comes from Emmy White from Tallahassee in Florida.
And the question is, what was a headline in the 17th of October, 2025 issue of the sun?
So, yeah, just, you know, an odd headline.
2025.
2025.
Less than a year ago.
An odd headline.
No, what year is it now?
Is it 27 or 26?
Yeah, less than a year ago.
Yeah, 2025.
Yeah.
October 2026.
25, just a headline.
And these can be, you know, longish or shortish, whatever you like.
The internet, you know, they're not as efficient with headlines as they would have
been when you have to pay for every letter in a newspaper print.
All right, while you're writing those answers, here's some more info about that comic.
Nick writes, comic books often come with many different covers called variants.
This usually means some different art, some shiny foil.
Like that, like foil.
or die cuts which are cut out sections of a comics cover.
For example, Wolverine 50 has slashes cut into the cover
to make it look like it had been hit by Wolverine's claws.
There was even an issue of the protectors by Malibu comics
that had a whole punch through the entire comic book
making it look like a character on the cover was shot.
Jab issue three took it to a whole different level
with every single issue being shot by a real gun.
Even the design of the comic was made with the bullet
hole in mind, with the cover being an overweight man complaining that his copy of Jab 3 can't be in
mint condition because it has a bullet hole. The initial copies were shot by a 22 caliber in a stack
of 10, leaving only one with special edition powder burns. Other copies were available for
order ranging from 9mm, 457 magnum to shotgun. Each of these were signed numbered and placed in a
poly bag, including the shell casing of the bullet.
Poly bag means that they have more than one partner.
Yes.
More than one thing in the bag.
Sure.
Sorry about that.
Hey, you never apologize.
Answers are in.
Question number five, what was the headline in the 17th of October,
2025 in the sun?
Years on, we still don't have the answers, says Stama.
Option two.
String of pink eye connected to holy water.
Icky priest should wash his dang hang so at hands.
So I don't come to work looking like a damn full complaints parishioner.
Option three, man set to marry bag of tube socks gets cold feet.
Poly bag.
Poly bag.
Option four, Stama Stutters.
Who's Stama?
Stama.
I think their, what was their prime minister at the time?
Sarkier Stama.
Oh, yes.
Still prime minister of the UK.
What for?
He was a knight.
Yeah, which I find to be so old.
Yeah.
Yeah, we've never tackled that as a society yet.
Yeah.
Like, you're already surmate.
What are you doing?
What else do you want?
It feels like you'd get in a demotion to become from.
Yeah, I know.
Yeah.
Or finally, mutt, did you say?
Rescue dog rushed to vet after shelter thought he'd gone blind.
But turns out he was just ignoring everyone.
Okay.
So, Sammy.
Yeah, they're all.
Back to you, you got years on.
We still don't have the answers, says Stama.
String of Pink Eye connected to holy water.
Man set to a merry bag of tube socks gets cold feet.
Stama Stutters or mutt did you say?
Mut did you say?
Mutted you said?
I think the Stama stutters is you because you questions Stama.
There was another Starmar one though.
So like how could I have done both?
Okay.
First one was also Stama.
Okay.
Okay.
So, Tuo, it is your go, Sammy.
Okay.
I'm going to go, just because I hope it's true, the pink eye one.
I think pink eye is quite fun and I feel like that's a long title.
Yep.
And I feel like the sun likes to really, really grab people
because it could be quite shocking and provocative.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was more of a short paragraph than a headline.
It was and I feel like that's what they do.
Including a quote.
In the sun a lot of the time.
You can do that online.
You can do whatever you want in the sun online.
I was going to lock that one in two.
So now I think.
Can you double up?
No, I'm going to.
Oh.
If this changes your mind, it's got a typo in it.
Why don't you tell me that?
Well, I'm telling you both.
It's an icky priest should wash his dang hangs.
But I don't, is that a type?
Maybe that's a, that's, um.
One's got a typo.
Well, is it a type?
I assume that's a typo for hands, but maybe it is, is it, is that like a.
Hangs, he's a priest thing?
Can they hangs?
Yeah.
I don't know.
Maybe they're part of the robe is the hangs.
It could be.
I'm going to knock out the two Samas.
I don't think it's a Sama one.
I'm going to knock out the pink.
Kai, what was the other one?
Mut did you say?
Yeah, I'm going to say on the other one.
Oh, no, and tube socks.
Yeah, I'm going to go tube socks.
Okay.
Tube socks.
Do you know tube socks?
No, what a tube socks?
Tube socks.
Sox are you when they wear on the tube.
I don't want to fall into this honey trap again.
No, no, no.
Because you know, how do you know?
I am a honey.
You know who Kiersaamra is, but you've never heard of tube socks.
No.
We're a tube socks.
Okay.
I'm going to lock in tube socks.
Tube socks.
Tube socks.
I think that's an American term for normal socks, I think.
In the shape of a tube.
Really?
Yeah, which I feel is most socks.
No, no, no, no.
I'm not doing tube socks anymore.
You're off the socks.
Can I?
Can I do pink eye?
Yeah, you see you both go and pink eye?
Pink eye, yeah.
All right, locking it in.
Here's who wrote the answers.
Man set to marry bag of tube socks gets cold feet.
That was the house.
Yeah, oh, thank God.
That's good.
Thank God.
Stama Stutters.
That was Fergus.
Yep.
Know who he is.
Years on, we still don't have the, and this also has a typo.
Ants We're Svahma.
That was Sammy.
We both.
Yeah, we didn't.
Yeah, we did.
Yeah, that's nuts.
You two, you were both Politica.
And we both pretend that we didn't have just before.
Yeah, we both think we didn't know who we was.
Yeah, that's clever.
No, I didn't do that, but I did do it.
I don't know what tube socks are.
That's genuine.
I believe they're, I think they're like just like,
normal American socks.
I thought there's only one variation of a sock.
Yeah.
What do you want to mix it up for?
Yeah, what?
With his socks.
It's just being the shape of a foot.
Yeah, just do it in the foot.
But the Americans will be listening to this.
Yeah.
They're like, no, it's very,
business socks and tube socks are different.
They love their tube.
They'd say tube, not tube, would me.
Tube socks.
Tube socks.
Got added tube.
Um, this is good.
This is good.
This is tense.
Great quizzing.
Yeah, great quizzing.
String of pink eye connected.
to Holy Water.
I'm afraid that was Emmy, the question rider.
Damn it.
I even tried to talk about it letting you know there was a top of it.
And it only made you want to fall.
I know.
And that means the correct one is mutt, did you say?
Did I have mutt locked in at one point?
You were down to socks and mutt and then you went, you went a different way.
Yeah.
What is it about the mutt?
What was gone on that article?
Yeah.
Well, so a dog from a rescue shelter.
was rushed to a vet because they thought it had gone blind,
but it turned out it was just ignoring everyone.
That's great.
That's a really fun story.
That's a funny dog.
Because I thought because there's a dog in the room
that maybe you have just done association.
No.
Yeah, I'll say digs all the time.
Not interested anymore.
Don't even see him anymore.
Don't even see him anymore.
So once again, you've just dished up points to the house.
So going into the final round,
the house is in a strong, strongest spot than the house has been in for quite a while.
In fact, so strong that Fergus can't overtake the house.
Yes, he can.
He's still got it.
Unless, what, do we want to do quadriple points in the final round?
Let's do that.
Let's do that.
So, Fergus is yet to score.
Sammy's on three, the house on seven.
But still truly anyone's game with quadruple points.
Yeah, I know.
Anyone's game.
And the final question, we normally finish with some sort of a synopsis,
usually a movie synopsis.
But today we're doing a video game synopsis.
So it'll be your longest.
answer for paragraph,
which could be three, four,
five sentences, if you like.
Hey, whatever you like a paragraph to be.
About the length of a star headline.
Yeah, with typos.
Sun's a conister.
Now, the question comes from Joph from Colac.
You know Jop from Colac?
I love Josh from Coalack.
Yes, I love Joss.
You ever been on LOL radio?
I feel like I have been on LOL.
I have been.
I was on recently to promote a
round gig and then I was hanging out with him there.
I felt like, it was such a beautiful time.
I've only been asked once, but thanks.
Yeah, never again.
Never again.
Well, that's actually what Jof said to me.
He said, one thing I'll say about Sammy P, never again.
Yeah, yeah.
I went on about, I bitched about you for the whole time.
You got, you met Matt Stewart.
God, do yourself a favor, don't.
Jop's question is, what is the name and premise of the 1995 Seeger game
created by comedy magicians Penn and Teller?
So what the name of the game?
And the premise, or synopsis, if you will, of the game.
Okay.
While your answers are being written, I'm going to read out this article about this fake blind dog.
From the Sun, written by Jemmy Scary.
The internet has gone crazy for a rescue dog after an eye-opening emergency trip to the vet
revealed he was not blind, just grumpy.
Don Louie gave his rescuers a scare after he stopped responding to the dog.
to their visual cues or calls.
Oh, sorry, Tiggs.
Very rude.
I hope the might pick that.
Yeah, it would have.
Don't worry about that.
Shake of the tail.
Diggs, come on, come on.
Fearing the worst staff at the foundation Santa's Petitas took him to the vet to be assessed
only to make a shock discovery.
Don Louis was not blind.
In fact, according to the vet, he had perfect vision.
The vet revealed Don Louis just like to ignore people when he was in a bad mood.
The vet examined him.
him and told us his vision is perfect.
Javiera Santander, the organisation's founder, told the dodo.
We were surprised, he said.
The foundation took Don Louis in 2023 after he had been hit by car.
When he first arrived, staff say his behaviour was very antisocial.
Santander said, at first, it was an aggressive dog.
He would growl at everything.
Despite this, over time, Don Louis began to open up to his new caregivers.
That's nice.
After a while, his rescuers noticed something was not quite right.
In QR.
John Louis was lost in his own world, often ignoring those around him.
When we spoke to him, he would just look around the room, Santander said.
We're not speaking his language.
You get a bark.
Yeah, that's right.
I mean, this article goes on and on, but I think we get the idea.
I get the idea.
I liked it.
Yeah, I thought it was great.
And I thought it was a real one.
I thought it was a real headline.
And it was.
I mean, when you think.
I'd hate to tell you how to play your game.
Got it off instinct.
When you think one's right, that's the one I'd go for.
Okay, that's interesting.
I'll introduce that to the final round.
Great, great.
Just go what you think.
Go what you actually think.
Yeah.
Go what you think is the real.
Okay, I got it.
Only one house answer.
So you've got four options.
Okay.
Final question.
What is the name and premise of the 95 Sega game
created by comedy magicians pen and teller?
Rabbit in the Hat.
Rabbit in the Hat is a game.
behind the magic players guess the trick guess the trick win the game that's option one option
two desert bus you play as a bus driver making your way along a dead straight highway between
arizona and los vegas there are no passengers on the bus no traffic and virtually no scenery
pen and teller like yeah sure maybe maybe you play as pen and teller because one of them doesn't
speak no yeah i don't know which one think teller well that's ironic because he never does
I guess that's probably the joke.
I don't know the joke.
I don't like it.
I'd never put it together before.
Never, never.
I wonder if they've ever heard that before.
If I ever meet, I'm going to say, huh, a bit ironic.
That's good.
I think I love that.
Fool me.
That's good.
Option three.
Foolery.
The game starts with having to guess a series of tricks to see what is a magician's trick
and what is in fact too good to be true.
Fullery makes you wonder what is possible in the world of magic
and what is completely unversible.
Unbelievable. From Penn and Teller, this is foolery.
Or finally, prestige.
Nothing up my sleeve, a point-and-click adventure in which you play a hopelessly over-confident stage magician whose greatest trick is accidentally breaking reality.
Every spell is performed with excessive flourishes, suspiciously long pauses, and dramatically unnecessary smoke bombs.
Instead of fighting monsters, you distract them with terrible card tricks.
Escape locked rooms by convincing doors they're already open.
and solve puzzles by exploiting the audience's willingness to applaud anything.
The final boss is a software bug that insists it's part of the illusion.
Okay, Ferg, you got rabbit in the hat, you got desert bus, you got foolery or you got
prestige, nothing up my sleeve.
It's going to be either foolery or prestige for me, and my instinct is foolery, so I'm
going to go of instinct for once.
You go with foolery?
Yeah.
I think though the last one
It had such a long long line
That was huge wasn't it
That does really seem legitimate
Right
But also what a great throw off
To write a really long long line
With a final boss
Yeah
Yeah
Okay
I'm gonna lock in full ory
Locked in
I'm gonna go just because of the name
Rabbit in the Hat
Rabbit in the hat
It's great game yeah
Great game
Great game
Go game
Go game
Coming to end the pod
Yeah
I know we're fading.
Coming to the end of the second,
part back to back.
I'm starting to slow.
Great game name.
Move on, great game name.
Go ahead.
Move it.
All right.
We got it.
This is the final score.
This is the final.
For triple points, I'm nervous.
I'm shaking in my goddamn boots over here.
This is who wrote the answers.
The really long final one, prestige.
Nothing up my sleeve.
That was Jof.
That's a good one, Jof.
I like that.
And Jopf, of course, he's able to write it
in his own time.
He's got all the time in the world.
He might have,
he might have banged it straight out.
I can he put on an egg timer.
He won't have to beat that egg timer.
I'm going to play it like the guests.
I'm going to play it like the guests.
All right.
Now, Sammy went for Rabbit in the Hat.
That was Fergus.
Oh, good on you, Ferg.
That's a good one.
On the board, first points on the show.
Triple points.
And that would triple.
Rabbit in the hat.
Wow, that was good.
I like that.
I play that game.
Yeah.
Damn that.
That's so good.
I like that.
Wait, wait.
Are you just trying to give me points?
No.
I don't need no pity points.
Oh, you don't need pity points?
I think it was good.
I think it was good.
And then we got foolery, which Fergus went for.
That was Sammy P.
Fuck, I've been fooled.
I've been tricked.
It's all foolery.
I've been tricked by his magic.
And that means no one got to correct it was the only one that was not at all about magic.
Desert Bus.
Because you were giggling through that when I thought that must have been huge.
I just thought it was insane.
Yeah.
That is insane.
So apparently the game, the game was sort of set up for you to trick your mates.
Basically go, here's a really, you go, check out this game.
It's really dull.
And there was different, Desert Bus is one of multiple things in there.
Desert Bus.
Sega.
I wouldn't play it.
I'm going to say it.
I wouldn't play it.
I wouldn't play.
Rub it.
It's good.
Fullery was good.
Thank you for saying that as well.
We both guess each other.
That was a beautiful way to finish.
We would believe in each other.
Yeah.
That's right.
I can tell you a bit more about the real game.
According to Jof, in the game, you travel at a top speed of 72Ks per hour
and you make the 580K drive in real time.
Completing the drill takes eight hours, reach the destination and you earn a single point.
I've got time for this.
Start the drive back.
Oh, God.
Repeat for as long as you can stand.
The bus has a tendency to drift, which means that you have to be vigilant at the controls.
Drift too far and the engine stalls, which requires.
your bus to be towed back to the start point.
That's excited.
So it's just like a game that's like sucked in.
You bought it.
Yeah.
Hey, you sucked in.
You gave me your money.
Desert bus.
I'll never play desert bus.
I might play it.
Right.
Okay.
You know, slow TV's got big for a while.
It's a slow gaming.
Okay.
No interest.
Slow gaming.
Got to say a letter today.
Fern's going to buy it.
First's got to get a 995 Sega Master System.
Good game.
Good game.
Great game.
All right.
Before I give you the final score, where can people find you?
We just record an episode of Sammy Fees podcast.
Yes, Confessions.
You can find that on all of the podcast apps.
Confessions and also me personally, Sammy Peterson unofficial.
On all, I think that's the same on TikTok, Instagram, all the goddamn things, Facebook.com.
And also Confessions, the podcast.
If you just want to follow the podcast and you got no interest in me.
Well, you said it has some interest.
Less interest than following me personally.
I host the podcast called On Offit.
each week we go what we're on, what we're off.
Great.
And Fergie Fug won on Instagram.
And rub it in the hat for patents.
My new game that's going out, certainly.
Patent pending.
Patent pending.
All right.
Final score check.
I'll remind this is my new special bad boys out now.
It's out.
I've probably mentioned this before.
I can't remember.
Humding a channel.
Did I dream that the special was called Bad Bunny?
Oh, you must have dreamed that.
It's bad boy.
Bad boy.
Okay.
Bad Bunny would be good.
Tell a lot of tickets.
And that would have been really clever.
I'm going to start calling myself.
You get in the Algo.
Oh my God, I wish I'd call it a bad bunny.
I'm calling my show next year.
I'm going to put that.
Just will puns from now on.
All right, final scores.
In third place on four points.
Coming on very strong, it's Fergus Neil.
Good to be on the board.
Great to be on the board.
But I had an equal first place on seven points apiece,
it's Sammy P in the house.
Oh, wow.
Thank you.
You came out very strong with those quadruple final ones.
Great dealing with you, the house.
Love it to be on par with you today.
That's huge.
So good.
Yeah.
Thanks so much for joining us.
Really appreciate it.
Thanks for having us.
Thank you.
Hey, listeners, why not give us a file so if you tell your friends if you think you
know anyone who might enjoy it.
And cheers for tuning in to who knew with Matt Stewart.
Now that you know it, I've been Matt Stewart.
Goodbye.
Number one, he won't remember in a few years.
Just having some fun.
That's a joke if you listen to the episode.
Yeah.
that Ferg and Matt came on confessions.
I mean, there's already a few bits
that I think you're going to have to go back
and listen to the young...
I think we need a full reset.
I think forget we even saw each other before.
Okay, okay, we can do that.
I'm so glad we've got a professional on today.
How are you two in my house?
Who are you?
Something like that.
I'm working on news.
That's a new character I'm working on.
Connor, the editor will tidy this up
and get rid of any of Sammy's tedious callbacks.
I don't think the Porsche de Rossi one wasn't too bad.
No, I think that's fine.
I could just be a huge fan of Portia to Liseu from July.
And people know she's from Geelong.
Her name was Amanda Rogers.
Yeah.
People know.
Wild.
Wild.
Are the family still there?
Yeah.
Do you catch up?
I, it's a small place.
Have you caught up with him?
My dad's from Geelong.
Really?
Originally.
Yeah.
Does he know Porsche?
And you've been quite horrible to him on this podcast.
Let me tell you that much.
What?
You didn't even say he was, you didn't even number my dad in what, where he writes in
in July.
I feel like I'm mediating between you two.
There's some undercurrent of beef that I haven't.
When I walked into the apartment, I felt it.
No, no.
We'll get along for a bit.
We squashed the beef.
The beef's been.
As long as it's quashed,
I don't want to come into beef itself.
Yeah, I know.
Because then I'm involved.
No,
you're not implicating you.
I'm not implicating you in this.
I can't be implicated anything.
I think Geelong's like the Switzerland of Australia.
Yeah.
Beautifully put.
Most marginal seat.
So that's actually quite true.
That's why Cardinia Park is redeveloped every six months.
Yes.
We always get a new pool.
Did you?
What are you?
We're waiting for a bullet train.
It's amazing.
There's so many votes I cast based upon a bullet train that was never going to come.
We've also got the,
the, um, the beautiful ferry out there as well, no, don't you?
Yeah, there's a ferry that goes from, yeah, Southern Cross Station,
not Southern Cross Station, but like Docklands.
You're thinking of a train.
Bullet train.
We have a bullet train.
Yeah, you've got the spirit, there's the spirit now goes from Tasmania.
Yeah, yeah.
And you're from Tasmania.
It's all connected.
In a way, you're thinking of Annie Matthews.
I think of Annie Matthews, I'm sorry.
Have we met?
Not sure.
Me and you.
Yeah.
I don't actually know.
Confident a lot of that's being cut out.
So this is how the show,
get it clean, Sammy.
Sorry.
If you want to get my last claim.
It's just weird to know that I haven't,
I've tagged you in a story on the 7th of May,
2005, Matt,
and that was the last interaction that we had.
I find that bizarre.
I did feel tension coming in.
Yeah, I know.
And that was when the story was,
I can show it to you.
It was when we were on the Mount Rushmore
of podcasters together.
Do you remember that, Matt?
Beautiful.
What a beautiful.
No, who put that together?
It was on the weekly planet,
the Reddit thread, a weekly planet podcast,
Mount Rushmore of Aussie podcasters,
got me, you, and then the two guys from the weekly planet.
Whoa.
That's a pretty cool.
That's a pretty cool.
A lot of people saw that story, just if you want to know.
And somehow I didn't, are you saying I didn't see it?
No, you didn't, you saw it, but I don't think you re-shared it,
and that was from seven years ago.
So I think maybe, no, two, I was like a harder it.
No, you hearted it.
I hearted my own story.
That's where the beef probably started.
If we're really thinking about the beef,
conception.
I think it might have been me parting my own story from one year ago.
I don't know if I recall that.
Oh, it was a fun one.
But it looks great.
I'm seeing it now.
Fantastic.
Is it too late to get out of it?
Yeah, it's too late to re-share a year later.
I think it's worth a reshare.
Yeah, I think it is a year later.
Yeah, pretty cool.
Huge.
It's actually huge.
Hang on no, I did share it.
That's why it's there.
It's on my side of the conversation.
You hearted my reshare.
Oh, that's great.
I'm happy with that.
The beef is over.
The beef squashed.
Yeah.
So we needed to know.
You.
He reshared it.
Don't worry about it.
I might have to start plucking.
There's too many plucks.
I'm plucking.
That's what you did all bird before you eat it.
You pluck it.
So there you go.
Before you.
What?
No.
No.
I thought that's where we were going.
No,
that's not where we were not going there.
We were both wanting to.
We were not going anywhere near there.
Interesting.
I thought I could read the room.
Well, you cannot.
Okay.
And Furg.
Yes.
I've sent him my answer.
You've sent.
animal but not name.
I'm going to name it as well.
So, you know, like, Sammy's dog who's here with us.
What's his name?
Missy Diggins.
Thank you.
And is a bunch of different dog breeds together.
We're not sure what it is.
We're not convinced it's a dog.
It's big and beautiful.
Thank you for saying that.
Say it to his face.
I will.
I really love that dog.
Yeah, I love that dog.
All right.
Ferg got the fright of his life walking in.
Yeah, it's a big dog.
I do tell people, I say it's a big dog and people still go,
that's not what else
it's doing.
It looks like it's on weights though.
Yeah.
He can bench me.
Could you bench him?
Absolutely not.
What is he?
He's 54 kilos.
Fifty four kilos.
I don't know if he could deadlift him.
I could deadlift him.
But I hope he's alive.
Yeah.
Sorry.
One person's really anti-Dain Andrews as well.
It's like Dan Andrews has been out of power for so long.
I find it.
I'm so angry about him.
I'm like, who's still thinking about it?
So many people are.
They bring him up so much.
I couldn't like.
Yeah.
wild to be thinking about a state premier who is now two back.
I know.
Soon to be three back, probably.
Can you repeat this?
Sorry about the jab.
Oh, gongin the pony.
That's a fun name.
It sounded a little bit like this.
Shrek!
That's a good impression?
That's a pretty good impression.
That's all right.
That had layers like parquet.
Can you do any impressions?
Oh, you know, I just got cast in a series where I'm a 12-year-old boy.
Really?
In an animation.
Oh, that's fun.
Can you do some of that?
Do you sit.
Sit down.
That's good.
Oh, that's real.
You only need to give one or two words.
My Shrek one, sit down.
What can you do?
Oh, you name it.
I can do them all.
Do Marge Simpson.
Oh, me?
That's really good.
Oh, right.
That was really good.
Holy shit.
I love impressions.
No prep.
No prep.
I learned it from Aaron Gox, actually.
He is sort of the master of, and I studied at his feet.
Comedically, I love impressions.
I've never been able to nail them.
Yeah.
But when I see them, it's like magic.
Yeah.
It is.
I love an impression.
It sounds slightly like that person.
They put them in a scenario that you wouldn't expect.
Imagine if Al Gore and Christopher Walker and Christopher Walked and walked into a tattoo salon.
Okay, okay, okay.
I guess.
I guess they could easily do that.
I can't do that.
Oh, God.
I'm excited.
I can do Q great.
Aye.
I, aye, aye.
Pretty good.
Yep, pretty good.
That's really good.
Yep.
All right.
While you're still writing your answers,
Let's go for a quick break.
A little bit of...
That was nice.
That was really nicely done.
You're going to go for a break?
No, I'm going to take them on.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Actually go for a break.
We see you in like two hours.
Great.
Yeah.
When are we back on?
Where's catering?
Coming tomorrow.
I'll see you tomorrow, guys.
Same thing.
Great.
We got it.
Am I going crazy or does it feel like sounds dropping out and coming in sometimes?
Not for me.
No, not for me.
Might just be these headphones.
Yeah.
Like the silence might be too much for you, Matt.
Don't take me back there.
Not the silence, not this again.
Oh, my God, the answers are in.
Oh, wow.
This water's great, by the way, with a lemon.
Thank you so much.
I've got to start doing that.
I used to do it.
It's good to be a liver, isn't it?
You've got to have that lemon in the water.
A little bit of citrus.
Yeah.
It'll stave off scurvy too.
Oh, thank God.
Worried about that.
And you should be.
And you should be.
And you really should be.
The foundation took Don Louis in
2003 after he had been hit by a car.
When he first arrived, staff say his behaviour was very antisocial.
Animal rescue workers shocked when brown rabbit turns out,
I'm just reading, I've gotten pasted it from the website
and I've included like a hyperlink to another article.
I just started reading a different, apologies for that.
Very unprofessional.
Kind of all fix that in the edit, I'm sure.
I'm sure.
I also cut and paste the thing saying,
this is a modal window.
This modal can be closed by pressing the escape key
or activating the close button.
That was awesome.
That was awesome, dude.
It was the sound of a dog getting out of a pool.
It was, wasn't it?
Quite nice.
Didn't do the water shake off.
Beautiful dog.
What do you look at me when you said that?
You're no dog.
You're no dog.
So, yeah, they,
They believed that the...
Diggs, Diggs, Diggs, Diggs.
Come on, come on, come on, Diggs.
Leave him alone.
Leave him alone.
Love you, Diggs.
Diggs is helping me cheat.
He's like, going on, see what you're writing.
How many wags of the tail?
