00:00Show requested, so here it is.As long as you've got da-da-da-da.It's Z-M's Breanclint podcast.Z-M's Breanclint, thanks to KFC.Go, let's go.I think I'm a chewing.Do Breanclint.Black Noges, baby, they were green.
00:19Good afternoon, everybody.Welcome to the Brean-Klin show.Did you see that?I feel like I'm living in a...No, some people come outside to have a look. What is it?She's wearing the exact same outfit as me.No, not her, but cat who works in this building
00:35Just walked outOh my God, that's so weirdTo be fair, I think I'm wearing the exact same outfit as youAre you?We are.Well, you've got a t-shirt underneathSo it makes it different and a hat. But, I mean, that happens to you and I quite often.
00:53It's pretty bloody cows.Hey, look, I'm brave. We've morphed. We've spent so much time together.that we have morphed into the same person.Whoa.Free laneway tickets on the show today.Yeah, that's right.
01:10Free laneway tickets. At five o'clock we're going to play split or steal.Yesterday was a bit nice, wasn't it?They chose to split, so they got a laneway ticket each.As soon as one of them said that they were a nurse,I was like, God, you have to be really low life to be taking it off the nurse.Yeah, but it's an anonymous.miss steal. So there's no repercussions. So I hope today one person says, I'm a parking warden.
01:38And then you're like, sweet, I'm stealing. Five o'clock, split or steel with laneway wrist bandits. That's the game we're playing with free laneway 2027 tickets. Five o'clock. We sure are. Right now onthe show Trady versus Lady, there's 50 bucks if you can win. 0800 dial Zat M. And we'll play next.Who's winning by the tradies? The tradies have been winning for months.Months and months and months and months.Months and months and months. Can the ladies claw one back this afternoon?
02:10Play Z-Eames, Bree and Clint.Let's play Trady versus Lady. This is the main event.Treaty versus Lady. Here we go.The Trades picking up a win yesterday, taking them to 93.The ladies trailing on 82.Our lady is in Auckland.
02:30She's 37 and she wants.the fire alarm off while drying her hair on her OE.Welcome to the show, Sarah.Hi, Sarah. How'd you do that?Did you point the hair dryer at the water fire alarm thingy? It's a smoke alarm, and my hair was super frizzy, and I was living in London at the time,
02:51and obviously all the humidity and the rain.God.So it set the fire alarm off.Yeah, wow.So they had to evacuate the building.and get all the firetips to come and clear it was very embarrassing. Were you wearing just a towel?I imagine you're drawing your hair in the bathroom after a shower.
03:10Oh, no, no, I must change.Oh, few.Lucky, Sarah. You're taking on our tradie from Wellington. He's 45.He's playing with his son Xavier, and he does a ripping stickman impersonation.Welcome to the show, Taz.
03:22Gide, Taz.Thank you.Hello.We've got to hear some of the stick man, Taz.Hey, Bree.I'm from Tazzy, Australia.just like you.Is that your stick man?
03:34Oh, you're going to do it?Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.I was like, well, that's not very good stick, man.I was like, that just sounds like you.Oh, sorry. What is it?I'll just do my, it's $2 week.Wow, he is good.
03:44Yeah.Very good, Taz.And you have a sidekick in Xavier today. Is that right, Taz?I've got Xavier next to me, yeah.Hi, Xavier.Hello.Hello, good luck, guys.
03:54Your buzz is trading.Sarah, Lady, first to three, wins the 50 bucks from KFC.Beautiful.Here we go, guys.Question number one.Former Disney star is headlining Spark Arena in Auckland tonight.Disney.I'm sorry, Trady.
04:09Taz?Um, Hillary Duff.Well done.It is the Duffster.Uh, one to the Trades.Question number two.Which country gave the world croissons? Was it France, Austria or Belgium?
04:22Yes, Sarah.Um?Taz and Xavier.Belgium or Austria?Uh.What do you reckon, Davey?I don't know.Belgium.
04:33Belgium.It's actually Austria.I feel like the French claim the croissant. And the French fry.We move on to question three. No points there.Buzz in when you can tell me who sings this song.Taz.
04:49Taz.Sharon.Yeah, we got you, Sarah.Taz got in there just first.Just before you.Question number four. You need this one to stay in it.Neo Morphi.
05:01and Trinity are characters in which1999 film? Yes, Taz.The Matrix. He's got it.Taz and...Well done, yeah, well done, guys. Taz and Xavier, too good today.Very, very good.Hey, unlucky, Sarah. I feel like you didn't geteven a look in there.
05:24Oh, good, next time. It's been the story of the ladies recently.Yeah.They're having a tough time. It's not over, though. There's still a long way to go until the end of the year.We will have an ultimate winner, but for now the Trades go to 90,for The Ladies' Day on 82.This is Hilary Duff.
05:40Speaking of, what a bop.Playing in Auckland tonight.ZD.M.'s Bree and Clint podcast.Andy Burnham.Do you know who he is?No.He's the current Prime Minister of the UK.Probably should know that.
05:53Nah, he hasn't been Prime Minister for long.Okay.And he rolled the other guy.So he wasn't elected.Oh.Yeah.He just took over.Yeah.
06:02I think he's quite good though.I don't know.he is going to start finding people for a certain behaviour on public transportwhich is interesting particularly here in Auckland where public transport's having a real momentbecause we've got our new train got our big new train our 5.5 billion dollar trainin the UK they want to make it illegal to use your phone without headphones on the trainI am all for this isn't it good God I'm for itHere's Andy Burnham talking about it on his Instagram account.
06:35Can we talk about one of the most annoying things on public transport? You're on a train trying to work, reading, maybe you've finally got your child to sleep. And then somebody starts blasting videos or music from their phone at full volume. We've all been there. And it can make the journey miserable for everybody else. That's why we're launching a new nationwide campaign across our railways, reminding people to use headphones instead of playing audio out now.Seems like a no-brainer, doesn't it?
07:01It just baffles me when you see someoneWho's got...In their own world. In their own world who has...Or maybe they just don't care about people around them. And you know what's more annoyingthan people listening to their music on their phoneThere's people flicking through videos
07:17So you only hear like three seconds of a video each timeThat's even more annoying. You know, I reckon even trumps thatWhen someone's taking a personal phone callOn loudspeaker.Yeah, they're doing a video call.Yeah, yeah, yeah.I don't want to hear all the details if it's a boring work call.
07:35So the train police will be able to hand out 100 pound fines.Wow.For not using your headphones. That's a decent fine. It's $230 bucks.Yeah.That's heaps.I mean, I feel like it's warranted.
07:47Yeah.If you forgot your headphones, don't make it to everyone else on the train's problem. It's a weird crime to have committed, though.Like, how many times do you have to not use your headphones on the train before you go to prison? You know? And then, hey, what are you in here for?Attempted murder. What are you in here for?
08:03I use my headphones on the train too many times.Attempted YouTube shorts. If we can find people for not using their headphones on the train, what else can we find people for?Can I put one forward?Yeah, go on.It's very similar, but using a Ui boom in a public place, particularly the beach.
08:21Like, I don't mind music at the beach if it's secluded. If you're the only ones there. But you don't know what music I like at the beach. What about when people have like a U-E boom on their bike and they're like cruise past?I don't mind that because they're gone.Yeah.Just get a little, it's the same as someone driving past on their car.Yeah, yeah.
08:37We'll leave that one. That's fine.I'd also like to ban BAD B-O in a confined space. You know, if you're a bit wealthy, you should be able to, there should be someone who can go,read card.Yeah.Yeah.Can I add to the list?
08:50I feel like they should ban on public transport.Weird eye contact.Weird eye contact. You know when someone looks at you or stares at you for too longand then you just feel uncomfortable and you're like, oh, I can't go anywhere? What's the statute of limitation for eye contact?Because a nice smile on public transport is okay. That's fine.
09:08No, that's not what I'm talking about.Grace got a poached on public transport today.Yeah, is it, oh no.Was it fine or was it weird? It was, he called me Miss.It was very respectful. What did he ask you for?If I had some marijuana.
09:22And I went, sorry, bro. You've come to the right place. But he said, cheers miss. And I went, ooh.You said, oh, you should have come five minutes ago. What about you, do you think looks like you have weed on you on the train?I think I have a very approachable fast.Oh, is that what it is?
09:37Yeah.Yeah, okay.Claudia, what do you want to ban?Train specific, people trying to get on before you get on.Oh, yes.Get out of my way.Get out of my way.Same with elevators.
09:47Yes.Oh, don't get me started on the elevators.Okay, I want to find people who don't know that you should keep left on the escalator. You stand on the side.Because I want to power walk up.the escalator and you're going to stand there and go on a joyride next to your friend,uh-uh, move over.Or just a single person in the middle?
10:03Move over.Move over. And then stopping at the top? No.Grace, what are we finding people for?Specifically men, man spreading. No, women can man spread.I've never been a woman.
10:15We just don't.No, but you can.I know, but I've never, it's never been an issue.I've never sat beside a woman. But you shouldn't be exempt from the fine is what I'm saying.Oh yeah, of course.Yeah, if we're doing it.We get fine, do.
10:25And that's not woman spreading. That's man spreading. That's a woman being fined for man spruing.Yeah, okay, I'm fine with that. We're imposing fines. We're rewriting the law. What should be banned and what should people get a fine for doing, behaviour-wise?It is Franklin.
10:40I feel like they should also implement this law at every person's home around the country. If your partner decides, you know, God, the daggers. If your partner is sitting on the couch, it decides to open their phone and watch videos onfull noise.Oh no.When my wife's reading and I want to have a bit of phone time,no way, man.No way.
11:02You have to go to the other room.Need to be videos with subtitles.Someone said, guys, I can beatusing your phone with no headphoneson the train. I was at the libraryand the woman sat down nextto me and started watching videoson her phone. Short reels.
11:17At the library. Is that the library meant to belike the most quiet place? It is. Also, it feels taboo to be on your phoneof the library.Like, shouldn't you have your nose in a box? It's almost like throwing it in the book's faces. It is.
11:29You know?So we ask, what else should we find people for?Joy's here.Hi, Joy.Hi, Joy.Hi.What do you think? If you could hand out a fine for one behavior, what would it be?
11:41For people not getting off their phone when you're trying to serve them in a shop or in a cafe.Oh, that is the height of rudeness. So they just keep. It's just so rude.Like, you can't serve the person behind them.No.Do people still do this?Joy?
11:58All the time.I've been in retail for last probably20 odd years, retail hospital.Yeah.And it's just, they come up to the barand they want to get a drinkbut they're on their phone or their phone rings.Yeah.
12:09And then they just stop talking.Oh, no.And you've got to be polite about it, right, Joy,and actually you want to say, excuse me, hello, can I have your attention, please?Yeah, I'm like, and like, and like, if you go and serve someone else, then they get shitty at you.
12:22You should just put up a sign. You will not be served if you were on your phone.Yeah.That's it.It's just, it's all right. And then George can just point to the sign.Just tap the sign.Peter's here.
12:34Hi, Peter.Hi, Peter.Hi, Peter.Hey, guys. How are you? We're good.Real old wind session this afternoon, but what are we finding people for? What do you want to find them for?
12:42I absolutely hate people who push the pedestrian crossing button and then willJay walk anyway before it turns green.Oh.Because it gives everyone in their cars a red light, right, Jay?Yeah, it gives everyone a red light.and the car stop for no one.It just grinds my gears. You're not grins my gears too as the people.
13:00So I'm at the pedestrian crossing and I've pushed the buttonand then someone walks up and they see that the button's already been pushedand then they push it like six times as if I haven't already pushed the button.Like I don't know how to push the button and you pushing it six timesis going to be better than my push.So we know that that hurry is it up though, doesn't it?We know that.Yeah, yeah.
13:19That's been confirmed.Does it?Okay. What are we finding people for? Some good techs coming through.someone said people should be 100% finefor taking full shopping trolleysthrough the self-checkout.
13:29I mean, come on guys. How many, what is the rule?I mean, I feel like it's different at each place. Is it 12?Is it 12?Yeah.It's not a trolley.No.
13:38What if it's 12 items in the trolley?Yeah, I guess.I don't know.Find people for getting out of their plane seatbefore there are people ahead of themget out of their plane seat.I could not be on boardwith any of these more than that.
13:53one. God, it just infuriates me. I'm like, and I get people like, I've been sitting for age.I'm like, so is everyone else. So is everyone else. Wait your turn. So has everyone else.Stop standing over me where I can smell your breath, you know? And this one's very good too.It says parking in front of people's wheelie bins on rubbish collection day so the trucks can't getyour rubbish. Specifically, the guy with the BMW on my street should be illegal. Wait, soSo should the, on rubbish day, should the wheelie bins get the car park instead of the cars?I feel like everyone knows when Binday is on their street.Yeah, you know when Binday is.
14:33But does that mean that you can't park your car on the street that day?I feel like you're just got to be more strategic about it.Yeah, okay. You don't park directly where someone would put their bins maybe. That's not me in the BMW, by the way. You're making it seem like it was. It's not me.People should get fined for talking too loud in a restaurant.
14:50People should get fined for walking really slowly.to her breast on the footpath.Oh, that makes me so angry too.Doordlers in public should be either find or moved on.Yeah.Someone should come behind them with a broom and just be like, all right, quickly.Off you go.
15:04A little poking stick like, come on, hurry up.Someone said aisle blockers in the supermarkets saying, excuse me, doesn't always work.Ban phones at the gym.Oh.Yeah, but.Interesting.What are all the fitness content creator's going to do?
15:20Someone said about the we'rely bin situation.Just stick your wheelie bit on top of their carIf they park in front of itI'm sure that would go down wellClint I pushed a pedestrian buttonEven if someone is thereI've stood there beforeAnd the idiots didn't even push the button
15:33Yeah I knowBut I did push the buttonLike it's clearlyWhat if they didn't see you push it though?Hey mate I can't help that I take everythingThe Sugar Babe say super seriouslyPush the button yeahBut they didn't say push the button 14 times
15:48They didIt's multiple timesThey say push the buttonPush, push the buttonWith your foot, it's grossZ-N's BranklinI want to talk about this article I readOn the NZ Herald today
16:01where they were talking abouttwo Kiwi businesses that have made itonto Time Magazine'sBest Inventions list for 2026.Two Kiwis. Two Kiwi companies.Whoa. Which is kind of cool.We haven't invented anything sincesince the jetboat.
16:21Did you know that New Zealand invented the jet boat?I did know that. The Hamilton Jet?Yeah. They also invented the shark submarine boat thing that they use in Queenstown.Oh.Have you ever been on that?I thought you're going to say the shark bus that used to drive people to Kelly Tarleton.
16:38I was like, yeah, we did invent that too. That's a proud Kiwi invention. No, the submarine, the shark submarine.Yeah, yeah, the one that you can drive and it jumps out of the water.Yes.Invented in New Zealand.Yeah.Maybe feel so sick for like four hours.
16:51after I went in that thing. Also, no offence to the people who invented the shark submarine. Not a world-altering invention, is it?No, but still pretty cool. The jetboat, that changed boating because you could go upstream.I feel like they're in a similar vein.No.No?
17:06No way.No, no, the jetboat is a practical...Wait, the actual jetboat they invented.Jetboat engine, yeah.Wow, that's cool.I'm sure that's correct.Claudia, can you fact-check this? This is your job on this show is to fact-check.
17:19Guys, we're getting off track. And I've got some really cool things to talk about. You're just Googling, did New Zealand invent the jet boat?So there's two, the two Kiwi businesses that have been named in Time Magazine'sBest Inventions List for 2026.There's a Canterbury-based business called Leafed Foods, where they invented some ready-to-drink pouchthat has, like, some protein or something. They found a way to get protein out of plants that people have never been able to do.
17:47It was out of alfalfa or something.Yeah, yeah, yeah, out of a certain plant. So that's one.and then a Palmerston North agri-tech company called Biolumic, which they invented something called X-Trates,which uses precise recipes of ultraviolets,a UV light, to give crops a stronger start.Cool.
18:05Which is, I mean...That's hydroponics. They think that's for people who grow weed in their wardrobe.Oh.No, I don't know that, by the way. That's me being facetious. It's for farming. It's for farming.
18:15For farming. For farming. For farming.I thought we could go through...I'm growing tomatoes in my root. You're not. They look like tomatoes at the moment.I've went through the list and pulled out some of the other cool things that made it onto the best inventions.
18:30Okay.For this year, are you not excited? Not after that.Like, I'm proud of Kiwi's doing well on the world stage.Neither of those things excited me.I will say on the list, some are more exciting than others. Can I just have the exciting ones?Yeah, I'll give you the ones that I think are pretty exciting.
18:44So one product I thought was pretty cool is the Hover Air Aqua. It's a drone that can land and take off on water. That's quite cool.Which is amazing.Yeah.This one is...That's going to get used for war purposes though.Yeah, that's quite cool.
18:59I know. This one is very cool. It's called eye polish. So essentially, it's smart technology where you put these press on nails on.And then using this wand thing, you can change the color of it in seconds. That's quite incredible.Isn't that amazing? That sounds like one of those future technologies that we were promised.
19:19like hoverboards and food and a pill.Isn't that outrageous?Like you just go,Bing, change the colour. There's another invention on the listcalled the Nover Knee, which is essentially a different inventionrather than a knee replacement,
19:37which I mean a lot of people get knee replacements. And then you have to,did you know, normally they have to replacethe knee replacement after like 10, 15 years?Oh yeah.So this one,I don't want to go fully into itbecause I don't really understand it
19:51but it's a 3D printed jointthat...There's a new knee, they amended a new knee.Yeah, that's great.Wonderful, we remitted the knee. That's better than the old knee replacement. There's a company that employs Beaglesto help catch cancer early.
20:09That's great.Which is the Beagles.I love of my cancer doctor was a beagle.Guys, what about this one? It's called Levin Instances.sourdough and instead of that weird thing that you have to have for sourdough that takes a lot of effort, they've invented this other way where it's just like, boom, instant. That's the best thing since slice sourdough.
20:28Isn't I?What about M&Ms apparently have invented...Yeah.M&Ms where they now use natural colours to colour the M&Ms.Oh, good.Rather than like red number 40 and yellow number 5.What about the Samfire?I'm not really concerned about the food colouring when I'm having an M-and-M.
20:52Yeah, I think it's for kids more so.True.Okay, yeah, true.Yeah, that's good, yeah. And this one might be one of my favorites. It'll be yuck, by the way. It'll be like when they put stevia in Coke.So apparently one of the ways that they do it is they use be beets.
21:06Yeah, it'll be yuck.Beats fruits to color them.Yeah.And turmeric.Yeah, yuck. The Samfire Headband. These are all things that were on the best inventions of 2026 list.So this is,
21:17for women experiencing PMS and PMDD.So you have two choices at the moment, which is medication and hormones. This is like a band you put on your headand it sends like different current stimulationsthrough your brain to help you.If it works, Ken.So now you have to walk around the office wearing the period hitband.
21:38And they go, uh-oh, Bree's got the period hitband on again. No one will use it.At home, maybe.Yeah.At home, which is where you don't.Oh God, my wife's got her period headband on again.Oh, no, here she comes. What about, one more, the Vizby Rapid PCR at home women's STI test?
21:57That's a good one.Which is amazing. So you can use this at home and it detects all the big STIs, all your favourites. And, yeah, amazing.Just to our chief fact checker, Claudia, this is a big.Was I correct, did New Zealand invent the jet boat?Yes.Yes.
22:17Go New ZealandBut not the periodHeadbandNoNoNoBit a luck next timeZDM's
22:25Brie and ClintPodcastSam Finder and Olivia Deanrained me inOn Zidem with Brean ClintDid she do that on Saturday night? No she didn'tBut as we were
22:34Walking homeThere's theServoRight outsideWestern SpringsAnd there wasSomeone who's gone upInto the server station
22:44And saidHeyCan you play this song?you take a song request and then they blasted it over the speakers and there was a wholegroup of people just like the gas station yes that's cool it was awesome that's like a that's like acommunity moment yeah that's really good it was one of those special moments where you're like ohsee people can come together she could have bought out a kiwi singer would have been cool to do like alike a harper finn or something or she could have just done it herself yeah you know i mean not to
23:14critique not to give olivia dean advice i'm sure she's got acontrol. Yeah. I mean, she had plenty of hits to play. Yeah. She had plenty of hits.Speaking of people with a hit, Selena Gomez has spoken out about a lot of people over the years havebeen asking like what's changed about Selena Gomez's voice and there's been a lot of discussionwhether it's around her autoimmune disease lupus, her kidney transplant due to lupus relatedkidney damage, her mental health struggles, and have those things impacted the way she speaksover the years?Yeah.
23:53Well, she has come out and done a video because a couple of years ago she did say thather throat swells up due to her lupus.Oh, okay. She did say that back in 2024.But a recent video of her on social media has gone viral after she's talked about howshe believes her voice has changed because of vaping.I'm not going to be able to change my voice.I vaped nicotine a lot.
24:21Nicotine is so hard to quit. And I think I just wanted to say, if you're going through it, or if you're even trying tovape, it's just not worth it.It's so stupid. And it's changed my voice. So if you guys don't like listening to my voice, that's totally understandable.I don't mind.Just don't listen to it.
24:42Just don't listen. That is what's sad, first of all.Good on her for being so honest. That's what I was going to say. It's refreshingly honest. You don't often get that from someone that famous. That's famous, yeah.Where they're like, oh yeah, it's because I'm addicted to vaping.
24:57And it's really hard to quit.Yeah.She said that she recently has given it upand she hopes that she can continue to not vape.I know so many people who have given it up until that second beer.and then the person across the table from them has a vape. They're like, oh, just one puff. And they're like, do you want some?
25:20What is it?What is it about alcohol that those connected to nicotine? It's probably, it's only the linked behaviour. It's probably the setting where your brain goes,oh, this is where I have my vapes me.So where is it?I need it.Where is it?
25:41I've got to get my hands on it.We thought we could ask you this afternoon, what's the thing that made you quit vaping? We're not underestimating how hard it is at all.But was there something like your voice changingor an ultimatum from your partneror, I don't know, what was it,that finally made you go, you know what?
25:59I don't want to do this anymore.I'm done.I don't want to suck on the douche flute.I don't want to suck on the USB stick anymore.Selina Gomez has spoken out about how she believed, her voice changes due to the fact of vaping so much.Yeah.Vaping nicotine for such a long time.
26:19Yeah, she's opened up.She's been completely honest about it.And she says, yeah, she's quit now, right? She said she's quit now and she hopes that she can continue to not vape.We asked you, what's the thing that finally got you to quit vaping? And just a quick PSA.I said before that vapes don't set off the fire alarms.Which I was like, I think that's BS because I remember.
26:41A friend of mine at that apartment I lived at, set off the whole apartment with his vape.I've had messages from a number of irate fire alarm installers and they've said, yes, vapes can and do set off the fire alarm. And they will set off a smoke detector very easily.Yeah, don't vape around smoke detectors. So I don't vape, so I wasn't to know.Okay.Someone texts through and said, I quit for my second breast reduction slash reconstruction.
27:08Anyway, I'm vaping again. Was a good three weeks.Hey, well, good on you that you quit. What got you off the vapes?Someone said having surgeries to remove my tonsils helped me quit vaping.Okay, that's good.Yeah.Someone else said, hi.
27:23Did you need to have your tonsils removed because of your vaping?Could have been.Could have been.Could have been.Someone else said, hi, Brian Clint, I quit vaping because I donated my eggs to a couple whowere on a fertility journey. That's so selfless.Does vaping affect your eggs?
27:36I think it can.Really?I think so.I think it can affect a woman's fertility.Wow.Yeah.They don't put that on the box, do they?Or do they?
27:47Oh, they might.I just got scared then whether I should say that. But I was like, nah, I'm good with that. It's all right.I already said they don't sit off smoke alarms.I quit vaping five minutes ago when Clint called it a douche flute.Yeah.You've never heard douche flute before?
28:03Someone said, I know someone who quit because they gotthroat cancer. Wow. That's a good reason. Well, I mean, obviously, but you still, you don't thinkabout it. I quit vaping because it just isn't cool. I started smoking cigarettes again instead.No. That is not the answer. That's not what we're looking. That is not. I'm a nursingstudent here. I didn't quit vaping, but all my friends have once we all learned what nicotinedoes to the human body, but not me. I'm not so easily scared. Someone else said, I quit vapingafter breaking my neckand my surgeon explained to me
28:39how bad it is for youand that my rehab would take longer.Wow.Interesting.I quit vaping onceI thought about how it resemblessucking on a robot's willy.Oh yeah, that'll do it.
28:52Whatever gets you over the line. You know, if that's what you have to think aboutto get you off the vapes, then do it.I quit vaping whilst I was trying to get pregnant.I read that it can shorten fertility in womenand they're scared the crap out of me,still took me about six months to fully be done with it.But after multiple half attempts of quitting,
29:12then one day I just said no more and stuck with it,two months vape free and I'm never going back.So good.I watched a show that was set in the future and they had a vaping ward in the hospital. And it terrified me because I thought to myself,I could end up being in a vaping ward from lung disease if I keep vapingbecause that's probably where we are going. So it scared me into quitting vaping.
29:33That's good.Yeah.That's good.I wonder what TV show that was.I quit vaping because of chest infections. There's so many good reasons to quit vaping.A lot of good reasons on here.It just doesn't look cool either.
29:47If you have to be superficial, I just don't think it looks cool.Be honest with yourself.Have you ever looked at someone who's vaping and gone,ah, that's a cool man.Have you ever looked at someone smoking and thought that's cool, man? No.That was so not convincing from you. That's why they had to take it off.
30:05the movies because they did make it look cool.Remember? Do you think smoking looks cooland vaping doesn't? No, I don't. No, don't putwords in my mouth. No, but I'm just genuinelyask me. Don't put words in my mouth. No, I don't thinksmoking looks cool, Bree. What a stupidquestion to ask. What if James Dean's
30:22doing it? No, but that does look cool.Yeah, because all the famous people were doing it.Exactly. But I don't think yousmoking looks cool. What if, like,Jacob Allorty was vaping in his nextmovie? No, this isthe thing. I reckon Jacob Alleroy couldmake smoking look cool. It's not cool, by the way, guys. I think he could make it look cool.
30:40I don't think Jacob Allottie could make vaping look cool.Have you seen Jacob Allotties? Pretty old.Anyway, vaping's bad. Don't vape. Yeah. That is the message here.Cordia! Cornea! It's Z.M.'s Bree and Clint podcast.Brea and Clint. Let's get classical.Bree and Clint.
30:59Let's get classical.Me versus Bree.In a game of guessing song.that producer Claudia pretends that she played on the piano.Pretends, how dare you?Prove it.I'm a maestro.Yeah, can you do it live in studio next week?
31:15Yeah, I leave my instruments at home. Can you bring your Yamaha keyboard in and do it live in studio?Yeah, if you can find her somewhere to plug it in, then totally. Is that why your fingers are also musly? No, that's why. It's another reason.Shut up, Grace. What's the reason?
31:33I'm lost, what?Knitting.I think I thrashed you last week.I think you did.Yeah.I think it was...I think it made my best game ever.Yeah.
31:43So...Was it Claude?Honestly, once the game's done, it goes out of my mind. And we start fresh every week.Fair.And then this week it might be Bree's week.Okay.Could be.
31:52You guys know how the game works, but playing, if you're playing along at home. These are pop songs I've reimagined in a classical style.Bree and Clint will guess what they are.I need the artist. And the name of the song, and the first two correct guesses will take home the wind.Thank you, Claudia.
32:05Welcome. Are you ready?Ready. Here's your first song.Oh.Free.Zara Larson, Midnight Sun.Well done.Oh, nice one.
32:20I heard straight away. When does Zara and the Larson's play Spark Arena?Sunday and Monday.Jinks.She got two shows.Yeah, man.Sold the phone. Is she popular?
32:35I wonder who's going to get up to do the dance.Oh, shockdown. The lush life dance.I hope it's me.Have you been practising?Always.Would you be shocked if it was me?If it was you.
32:46Honestly, I'd be like all my Christmases have come at one.Okay, one point for Bree. Here's another one.Bree.Is it the song from high school musical? No, it doesn't sound like that or what?Brighis Clutch. It finally found.
33:13Um, uh, no.Okay, we're both back in.Clint.I know it.Clint.Olivia Dean, man I need.No.Oh.
33:28I don't know the name of it.I don't want to tell him the part I know. Can we can keep going? You can think about it.If you want.Or yeah, yeah, keep going.Bree.Oh, Clint.
33:50Bree.Clint.Yeah.Quickly, very quick.It's Lily Allen.I got it.I've got it.Three, two.
33:57F you.Oh!From the start too, I knew it was Lily Allen, but I was like, what is the song?I'm glad that you didn't get flustered and use the full name of it.Oh, how good off. We're all tied up, guys, are we?No, Bree one.Oh, far out.
34:17She panced me.Shame.When you say it out loud. What is it?Rumpel's Stiltskin. Is that what it's called, a Rumpel's Stiltskin? When you say it out loud. And Murphy's Law is what I was thinking of.
34:31Oh, right, yeah, yeah.Shroding his cat.Huh?I don't know, guys.What's going on?I think rumple's dilt skin.Is that what it is?Yeah.
34:43Yeah, right. It's ZM's Brinklin podcast.Just a bit of a question, guys.Do you guys think Jason Momoa might be obsessed with us?It seems that way, doesn't it?I feel like. And when you.you say us, you mean New Zealand? I mean us, New Zealand. I'm talking about international
35:04Hollywood superstar Aquaman and the star of Baywatch? Yeah, he was in Baywatch. I don't thinkhe was in Baywatch. He was in Baywatch when he was young. Old Baywatch. Are you sure? Was he?Oh God, I got to get the fact check it back on board. Claudia, can you please check if JasonMama was in Baywatch? I thought you were talking about that new movie. I was like, that was the rock. No, not the new one. The original. Was he really? Was he really?Oh, it says, yeah, he was in Baywatch Hawaii for two seasons between 99 and 2001.44 records. That is twice.
35:37That's twice now you've gasslet me into thinking I was wrong in one show, okay?Well, now you know how I feel. It's just been announced that MoMA has purchased a $15 million house in Queensland.Fifteen million.I knew he was rich.I didn't know he was $15 million house rich.Yeah, that's so much.money.
35:59It's so much money.Like if you're spending $15 million on a house where he doesn't even live here fulltime, like how much money do you have?Is he, does he not live here full time though?I feel like he's always here.I feel like he's more and more so living here more. Not just any house either. What?
36:18Does your brain plugged in just then? No, I don't think so.He has bought a house that used to belong to the late great Sir Sam Neal from JurassicPark.iconic. It's aalmost five hectare lifestyleproperty in Dale Field.I don't know where that is, but Queenstown.
36:34I read an article about QueenstownHouse prices this morning.Did you? They are going throughthe roof. Well, JasonMoMAO pay $3.5 millionover the valuation. What? So, yeah, they're goingthrough the roof. Why would he do that?
36:51Because, I don't know, and the bidding war,I don't know. Because the pricesare going through the roof.Like,No one has that much money, surely. So now...So you're like, oh, I'll give you an extra three and a half. No, I don't think it was like that.
37:03Yeah, right. So now Jason Moa owns a $15 million lifestyle block in Queenstown, and he owns a film studio in West Auckland with Taika and Cliff Curtis as well.Guys, I think Jason Ma'ma loves us.I think Jason MoMAO wants to marry us.Where does he live other than here?Under the Sea.I don't know.
37:28It's not from the Little Mermaid.Hawaii? Is it he does live in Hawaii?I don't actually know.Claude, do you know where Jason Mamoa lives when he's not here?Google doesn't know either. He doesn't have a single fit strong.Oh, that's interesting, isn't it?
37:41That means he lives here full time. That means he's untethered. That means that he might live under the sea. It's not documented.Cheap real estate.Anyway, no, Maya, Heidi, Murray, Jason MoMAW, welcome to New Zealand.Again.Play Z-Eames, Bree and Clint.
38:04This came out yesterday, this information about our hand washing habits.Oh, see, this is some information.I'd rather just be oblivious to it.Right.You know? But you should be aware because these people are all around you, okay? And maybe if you prioritize your own hand washing a bit, you can combat those who don't.I think about it every time I'm in the bathroom.
38:27I think about when I'm touching the door handle.I think about when I'm touching the tap.Yeah.Just every, all the time.Do you wash your hands when you get home? No.It's the first, I've only started doing it recently, and it might be like a COVID hangover, but now the first thing I do when I walk in the door is I wash my hands.
38:43I think I usually go the bathroom because I'm usually holding onto a wee.Oh, okay.So I do wash your hands. No, so I do wash my hands. But you said you don't.After the, I.Ha ha.Gotcha.
38:54I feel like Jack Tame on Q and A.We got her, everybody.I would honestly, like, I would make a bet that I, I can't even remember the last time I didn't wash my hands after using the bathroom.Like, I'm so confident that I wash my hands every time I know because...Well, we'll just have to believe you, weren't we?Don't make me that person.A new survey that was done in Australia. So this is Australian stats, but we're very similar culturally that I imagine it translates.
39:24They've revealed how many people don't.always wash their hands after using the toilet. And the results are gross, okay? We'll start with number ones. All right, people are going for number ones.Wees.27% of men and 19% of women surveyed said they don't always wash their hands. And that's just the ones that are willing to admit it.
39:46Yeah, there's heaps more that would just say that they do.So a quarter of all men and, oh, it's not worth doing fractions with you, is it?Not all men, though, is the point?Hashtag not all men.Hashtag not all men.A quarter.A quarter. And a fifth of women don't wash their hands.
40:03That's wild.Yeah.What's grosser?Because you guys actually touch peepee.I was going to ask that. No, you guys actually touch pee-pee.No, you touch your pee-pee.Oh, we touch our pee-pee, yeah.
40:13But we don't wipe our pee-pee.We don't touch pee-pee because the toilet paper touches pee-pee.Yeah, but your hand touches toilet paper that touches pee-pee.Yeah, but we're not touching pee-pee.Yeah, but I can go toilet without touching anything except the upper part, you know?Yeah, which is...There's nothing coming out of there.Which is yuck.
40:30Yeah, well, let's get on to number two's.Be like me touching...Oh, I'm not going to say this. What about number twos?Okay, number twos. There's a stats on people who don't wash their handsafter going number twos.13% of men and 10% of women
40:47said they don't always wash their handsafter going for a number two. What the actual F?How many say?13% of men and 10% of women. That's so gross.Anyone who doesn't wash their hands after doing a number two.How do you feel like you can go function in the world after doing poos and not washing your hands?
41:12But also, if not for other people around you, what about just for yourself?I wash it.Don't you want to not put your own poo-poo hands next to your mouth and mouth?I wash my hands for myself, not for the people around me.Like I'm doing it for me.Yeah, and that's fine.Yeah.That's fine. The survey found that 45% of men and 35% of women surveyed also admitted they didn't always wash their hands before handling food.
41:35So is this wait after toilet? This is not toilet related. This is just in general. If you're going to make some food, do you wash your hands before you prepare food?I think subconsciously I just always wash my hands. Yeah.Yeah.Have you got soap behind your sink?Yeah. 100%.
41:49Yeah. Yeah.Remember I used to talk about my previous relationship. It was quite a point of contention in our relationshipwhere my previous partner wouldn't wash her hands after using the toilet.Wees.I don't know about poos, but it used to really irk me.And I'd be like, can you please wash your hands?
42:12How did you know?Well, because we shared a room and we had an onsuit off the room.Yeah.So I could hear that she would.Oh, you could hear the tap wasn't being run.Yeah, yeah, yeah. The median time spent washing hands is 8.6 seconds, which is well below the 20 second recommended.
42:30Oh, look, I don't know if I'm washing them for 20 seconds.I'll be honest. My question for you is if you saw someone leaving a restroom without washing your hands, would you say something? No.If you saw someone leaving a restroom and they hadn't washed their hands, but they had a uniform on that showed you that they were going back to work at a food place.Would you say something to them or the restaurant?
42:48Also, none of my business. No, I'm not that person.I'm not hake. What if it's old poo-poo sushi hands? Then I'm just not going to go to that place.Oh, but you make us eat it.Would you?I don't know, probably not.
43:03If there's an anonymous tip line, I'd like to be like,There's a guy that just did a big dump at the Westfield toiletsand he's gone straight back into work and he didn't wash his scenes.Imagine Clint gets into a fight with some guy in the toiletbecause he's told him to wash his hands after he does a poo.ZDM's Brie and Clint.Do we all actually know how tall we are? When was the last time you were measured?
43:29Yeah, I thought I did.And then you brought the question up today and I was like, am I sure? This is the thing.Yeah.At a certain point in life, we stop getting measured because you stop growing. Also, we all used to go, or do we all used to do it?Go on that thing at the chemist and you put the $2 coin in and it would give you your weight and your height.Do you remember that?
43:48I avoided that like the plague, but I remember the ones you're talking about.I remember as I was growing.I was like, Mom, can I have $2, I think I've grown.I'm going to go check.Yeah, I need to check, please.I came across this video of a woman named Taylor, who made this crazy discoveryafter she was recently measured at the doctors
44:07that she's actually a different heightto what she's been telling people for the last decade. When was the last time you had your height measured?Went to a functional medicine doctor todayhad my height measured for the first time in,I mean, maybe high school, turns outI am an inch and a half
44:25tallerthan when I thoughtin what I've been sayingand putting onall of my paperworkyou too may bea completely different heightthan what you thought
44:35interestingso it made me thinkgood to go that way I feelyeahgood to be shorter than you thoughtother thantaller you meantaller than you thought
44:43yeah yeah I think soand it made me thinkI wonder ifus here at the Brie and Clint showknow how tall we arewe've been measuring ourselvesWe've all been measured.Yeah.
44:53And we all have to state how tall we think we arebefore you receive your actual measurement.Yeah.Who wants to go first?Grace.Should we do it free?Maybe we should go shortest to tallest.Okay.
45:03So let's start with Grace.Oh, am I the shortest?By far.By a country mile.Never knew that.Okay.Producer Grace.How tall do you believe you are?
45:11I believe I'm about 159 centimetres,which I think is 5-2 and a half.If we're rounding up, that was technically 5'3.Claudia? I'd give you 5.3 if it's 5.2.How tall is Grace?Grace is 5.2.But she's 160 centimetres.Her measurements were a bit off.
45:31Wait, what did you say you were? Both taller and shorter than she thought she was in centimetres. And she's shorter than she thought she was in inches.I'm 160.I've been waiting that my whole life to reach. You're a ginormous person.I'm so tall. What did you think you were in centimeters?
45:46159 centimeters. So we guys.Three centimeters. But as a person. But as a percentage of her total height, one centimeter is a lot. It's close to me.All right, next is Claudia, I believe.Claudia, how tall do you think you are?
45:58I'm pretty sure that I'm 171 centimeters, which is 5'7.Okay.Okay.And after measuring this afternoon?Exactly that.Oh, 171 centimeters, 5 foot seven.I measured Claudia, she was bang on.Wow.
46:14Right.There you go.So you were correct.Brie Tomicel, our resident tall girl.I have always believed, and on my driver's license, it says 177 centimeters, which I know technically isn't 510, but they say to round up because it's so close.Okay.So I'm going to say 177 510.
46:36Okay.Brie Thomasel.I think you're pretty much being on.You're 176 and a half centimeters, which makes you 5.9 and a half.I'll take it.You can have the two halves.Thank you.Thank you.
46:49Okay.I'll take it.Well done.Good.Good.Good.No shocks there. And then brings us to me.
46:54Oh, who can I say?The tallest person on the show.Oh, you're the tallest.Yeah, by far. You've always said, and I believed you, that you're 6-2.Yeah.Which is what you believe to be.It's what I believe I am.
47:07Okay.I believe I'm 187 centimetres and 6-2.Okay.Claudia.So Clint is six foot and a half.Nah, just kidding. You are six foot too.If you go back on the cameras, the look on both hem in my faces was,
47:32what the hell?I've got to say you got me.Your measurement's also a bit wonky.Your centimetres, 190.9.Nearly 191 centimetres.Damn.There you go.I've grown.
47:44Grown a few centimeters.Good enough sunlight.So Clint is a foot taller than me.5762.You're a foot taller than me.Oh, good.I'm glad I haven't been...What's the half-fishing version of height
47:58on like the Tinder app?Now let's measure some other thingswe think you're lying about.I'm just kidding.I thought we could ask this afternoonon 0800 dials at M.You can text us on 966.What's the key personal statistic
48:12like detail about yourselfwhere you always thought it wassomething and then you learnt later on where you're like oh actuallybut like maybe it's your birthday was wrong my friend nixon had to cancel his 40th birthday becausehe had his age wrong he was 39 he planned the 39th and 40th invited everyone and then a monthout he cancelled it because he goes oh my 40th's next year he had no idea um could be you're rightcould be your height could be your weight your weight could have been way off by the time you finallymeasured yourself could be your blood type yeah could have your blood type wrong your whole life
48:44Could have been your star sign.Could have been your income bracket.Oh, $800 at M, or you can text it to 9696, the personal stat that you got wrong about yourself.Dead end, Franklin.Do you know how tall you are? That's what we're discussing, because you stop getting measured, like back in primary school, maybe.I can't remember the last time I was measured.Because it was so exciting back then.
49:09Yeah.And also, you do change height as an adult. You can get shorter as we're learning. You can get a little bit taller. Will or two?You can?Yeah, I think if you, can't you?If you sort your spine out?
49:20Or what have you got a bit of scoliosis?Yeah, maybe.Yeah, maybe.More often than not, though, you start shrinking.Like, my dad lost, my dad lost a foot. No, he didn't.Yeah? No, he didn't.
49:32He was so bow-legged because he lost all the cartilage in his knees. So he was sober. He used to be 6-1, and then he lost all the cartilage in his knees, and he was 6 foot.and then after his two knee replacement, six for one again. You just said he lost a foot. That's an inch.Oh, sorry, an inch.
49:50That would have meant that he went from my height to Grace's height.Oh, sorry. He lost an inch.Lost a whole foot.An inch is still a fair bit.No, inches is a lot, but you said a foot. You've always told me that an inch is a lot.Oh, an inch is...
50:03You've always stood by the fact that an inch, one inch?An inch? You always said four inches, huge.An inch more?Wouldn't say no.Someone texted in who we're not allowed a name who said,I thought my husband and I were married.Turns out I never filed the marriage license paperwork.
50:23Wow.Don't call me, my husband still doesn't know.Wow.There you go.We asked what's the key stat you didn't know about yourself?I love this one so much.It says, I always thought I was a bit of a dick.Turns out I'm just autistic.
50:36Oh.There you go.There you go.Good to have something to blame it on.Yeah.My friend always thought her middle name was Marie.but her dad wrote grace on the birth certificate, which was one of her sister's middle names,
50:49didn't find out until they were applying for a passport many years later.Oh, come on, Dad, one job.Dad, put the wrong name on the birth certificate.Put your sister's name on.He goes, just give her grace. That's what all the daughters have is the middle name.Yeah, Grace, that's our family middle name.Yeah.
51:07Someone said I was 27 years old before I realized I had my birthday off by a day.30th of January, not the 31st of January, turns out. How?How'd you muck that up?How'd you do that? That feels like one you can blame your parents for.Yeah.I realised my name was wrong when I hit my 20s and I ordered a full birth certificate.
51:29Which name?Your first name?Wow.That feels like a identity crisis type situation. Here's another name one.It says, hi guys.I had been spelling my middle name wrong and it wasn't until I was sick.and going for my learner's driver's license application
51:46and my dad caught me out.Would have said, that's not how you spell you, really? What are you doing?Due to an accident, my right leg is now two centimetres longer. If I want to be petite and girly, I'll stand on my left leg.Shut up, that's so funny.Wait, how is it two centimetres longer?I had an accident.
52:06I know, but I...Oh, so the other one got shorter.Yeah, yeah, yeah.Yeah, yeah.I was like, how did you gain two seven meters?Yeah, no, no, because they'll be short king. You're right, it's a good clarification. There'll be short kings listening to that going.
52:16Wait, how do they do that?I'd like to have that accident.Yeah.Can I have the leg lengthening accident?Anybody else with a good one?Someone said it was only a small minor change to my middle name.Rachel.I was spelling Rachel, R-A-H-E-L instead of R-A-E-L.
52:36Yeah, but that's enough to get you bounced off a flight if it's on your ticket. It is.Yeah, one letter. One letter is enough to ruin your whole flight. It will. There you go.Next, birthday banger is the number one song on your 16th birthday. All you have to know is your birthday.
52:50Yeah.Do you know your birthday?Because if you know, it's going to be quite hard to do your birthday banger.Oh, 800 dial ZM right now if you want to play.ZN's Branclint. All I want from my birthday is a birthday banger.I'm bloody miss that.Hey, this is birthday banger.
53:08Number one song when you turn 16.We'll figure yours out and then we'll play our favorite.I'm in the class gay team.Penny's going to do Mum Rebecca's birthday banger.Hi Penny.Hi Penny. How are you, Penny? How old are you?
53:25Nine.You're nine.Okay, that means we can do mum's birthday banger. What's her birthday? The 12th of January, 1984.Well done, Penny. That means mum was 16.in the year 2000
53:41and on that daythis was number one.First of all, what a tune,Penny.Your mum is going to love that one from Macy Gray.Such a good one.And she was here last Saturday. And the reason I know that
54:03is because my partner was devastatedthat we couldn't go to Olivia Deanand Macy Gray. She was severely upstaged byOlivia D.Bad night to do a concert in Auckland for Macy Gray.Do you like it, Penny?Do you think that's a good birthday banger for your mum?
54:18Yeah, I think she also likes it.Yeah, good.Yeah, okay, good.Wait there, we're going to do Phoenix's mum's birthday banger.All the mums today.Hi, Phoenix.Hi, Phoenix.Hi, Phoenix.
54:30I'm 10.You're 10.Okay, let's do mum's birthday banger.What's her birthday?Um, um,the, um,On December of October 1990.Well done.
54:42Who birthday is today?Oh wait, it is today.Yeah.Oh, hey, Phoenix. Can you do us a favour and ask, Mom, what's for dinner?Yeah. What's for dinner?A whole lot because we did meal prep today, so we got 20 meals to choose from.
54:57Okay.Okay.What are you leaning towards out of that? There's a reason, Mom.Bollonaze?Oh.Wouldn't happen to be a curry, Bolladais, wouldn't it?Oh, I haven't had that one before.
55:10Bolognaz is like an Italiancurry, isn't it? It can be, yeah. No, okay, don't worry. Is your birthday today? The year is 1990.That means you were 16 in 2006,and on that day, this was number one.Banger!
55:25I love this song!Yeah, Phoenix is because it's a banger.And I'm still bringing 60 back.Yeah, me too. I'm still trying.Okay, wait there, guys.One more birthday banger for Steve.Good day, Steve.Gide Steve.
55:42Bapah, first time call out, long time listener.Hell yeah, Steve.Good to have you on the show.Where are you calling from?Just from Auckland.Shout out to my daughter sitting next to me in the car. What's her name?Give her a shout out.
56:03Caitlin!Hi, Caitlin.Hi, Caitlin.Hey, Steve, so glad you're here, mate. What is your birthday? It's the 12th of March, 1981.You know what would top this off?A great birthday banger.
56:17You were 16 and 97 and here it is.Steve, it's a Spice Girls banger. My school.Come on, please.Let's go, Steve. Can you move and on the tenets.Kaelan, you'd like that one too, wouldn't you?Oh my gosh, no.
56:49Oh, okay, okay, wait there, wait there, wait there, wait there. Now, obviously that is a huge scale-tipping song.I love all three.Let's not forget it's Phoenix's mum's birthday today.God is.And that Macy Gray song never comes up.You can't sway my love for the Spice Girls. That's where my vote's going.
57:12But I understand.I like them all.You know what's going to change it for me?What?Because Caitlin wasn't on board.Yeah, I know.That swayed you.Yeah.
57:22So I'm going Justin Timberlake. It's split, which means the vote goes to our producer Claudia.Claudia, you can choose from all three, including Macy Gray.what is the winner of birthday banger today? You know what?Caitlin, not liking it, kind of tipped it in their favour.I want Steve to sing alongand Caitlin to have to get through it.

01:04:12There was a double.It was a double banger.It begs the question.Do you want to be asked for a kiss?No, I don't.I mean, obviously that's a completely different situation.Or I hope so.That was like a platonic.
01:04:27Friendly.I think it was fine.Yeah, yeah.In a romantic way, I would rather not be asked. And we're not conflating consent, obviously. No, no, no, no.It's very different. But you know when the vibe's there.
