Starting point is 00:00:00 From the ZM podcast network, it's Fletch, Vaughan and Haley's little bit of pod Welcome to a little bit of pod my parents have recently sold their house and they had to move all of their stuff out Because they were going off to Italy where they live half the year they taste the sun Darling and you know Fletch and Vaughan the invite is always open to join the Sprouse. Anyway, so Mum ditched some shit at my house and some of what she ditched was her towels. What?
Starting point is 00:00:32 Her towels. Like good towels. Well, here's my question. What the fuck am I doing wrong? Like, I've got new-ish towels. I'd say they're like a year old. They were not a premium towel, but they were not a cheap towel.
Starting point is 00:00:45 I asked mum, I was like, what's the deal with these towels? Where'd you get them? She was like, briskos. Like just cheap. I was like, why do mums know how to keep towels so much better than me? What's a tell-tale regime? Is it a different, um, sitting on the washer? Does she do a hot fluffy wash?
Starting point is 00:01:02 I don't know if she does a hot fluffy wash. Do you know what it is? Even if you dry your towels outside or on the clothes floor. No you finish in the dry. I do that. Finish in the dry. I would never have a crispy towel in... Oh I see.
Starting point is 00:01:12 I love a... I actually love a crispy towel. Even when it scratches your back. When you're drying it gives you a little back scratch at the same time. That's a twofer. That's why I like going to... To fletches because you get a quick exfoliate. Yeah, get a quick scratch.
Starting point is 00:01:24 My daughter actually said to her friends, be careful on these towels, Dad's done them. Oh! To the scratchy. Oh, scratchy, no, you've got to soften them up. No, it just blew my mind and I was like, she's done something special. She's like, no, I just wash them like usual.
Starting point is 00:01:36 It's like a mother thing. Mums, they can just get stains out, they can have fluffy towels, they can just cook a stew. Me, I can't, you know, it's like, I've got to learn these things. Yeah. Oh, God. You're quite special.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I am special. You've got other skills. But now I've been using her fluffy towels. I don't go with my bathroom, but I was like, until they come back, I'm going to hone these towels. But you're going to wash them, put them back, and she's going to instantly know. They've gone crust.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Yeah, because they've gone crusty. How often do you wash a towel? Give it a maybe... Three days? Yeah, three days, and then I'll chuck it in the wash. Yeah, but honestly sometimes I'll go awake. Yeah, because I only use the one at home once a day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:12 I guess at this time of the year I got two towels on the rota. Ooh, you got quite wet towels, obviously. That's the thing, they don't dry as well in... Need a heated towel rack. I'm sorry, not all of us can afford a heated towel rack. Oh God, you simply must. What do those cost to run a mouth?
Starting point is 00:02:25 I've got one, I've got one, but it just, it's always off. I always take it out and hang it on one of the little clothes holes in the sun. Yeah. So it dries during the day. But then you gotta finish it in the dryer. No, because I'm not washing it. Vaughan doesn't use the dryer.
Starting point is 00:02:39 He's anti-dryer. I'm anti-dryer. I'm anti-dryer. What did I use a dryer for the other day? No, someone else used the dryer and put my very, very nice woolen merino socks in. I'm anti-dryer. Yeah. I'm anti-dryer. What did I use a dryer for the other day? No. Someone else used the dryer and put my very, very nice woolen merino socks in. Oh! Well now they're as tight as a, tight as a tamale's tight.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Speaking of, can we talk about socks for a second? I'm sorry, Vaughan, what did you just say? I just said tight as a tamale's tight. Now I don't even know what a tamale is. What the fuck? Is that a sandwich? I don't know, tamale. Is it not a, tamale is a... Tamale is a Spanish dish.
Starting point is 00:03:05 It's a dish made of a dough made from corn, which is steamed in a corn husk or banana leaves. I stand by it as tight as a tamale's... Tight taint. Tight taint. Right. Tight taint on the tamale. I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
Starting point is 00:03:22 I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
