Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to one-on-one with DP on 93-7 the ticket and the ticket FM.com. 90, baby. What you know about that? National champion. You don't know nothing about no national champions. For the first time in the 151 year history, the Husker debate team won the national championship. Do your dance.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Do your dance, debate team? Do your dance debate team? Hey, you know what? We're going to send a care package from Vianchus Bakery down to the debate team office. For the first time at 151 years, they win the national championship, baby. Well done. Well done. Get them rings ready, baby.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Oh, well done. Bravo. Bravo. National championship. Natty. Bring that Natty home. Well done. Good for you.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Good for you. I do want to I I I try not to some of your texts make me laugh they tickle the the happy place in me and and you just go wow that is funny that is funny I'm at my elbow. Oh my elbow. Oh, you're funny bone. Oh, okay. That's a funny. What are you talking about? You said this is a windy sir. You're the one getting tickled by text. Don't look at me weird. Tickled. I understand a couple of things. We will read these four. text over the course of the, and no order at all. What up, DP's from Dusty.
Starting point is 00:01:40 What up, Dusty. I didn't hear exactly what Ryallel said, but I will say it's easy to be a great fan where you're winning. Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Yeah. That part. Remember the National Championship Days of Nebraska?
Starting point is 00:01:56 I don't. I think. Do you? Great fans were built. Great fan base was built when you were winning national championships. I sure was. I was. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:02:04 how that happens. Single digit years old. Amazing how that happens. That's fantastic. Maybe you should try doing that, winning more. That would be wonderful. Sandler says this, I've never understood Nebraska fans' obsession with having to get all these in-state kids.
Starting point is 00:02:21 We have to find talent from wherever they are. Tommy Fraser was not from Nebraska. Jason Peter and Grant Wisdom were not from Nebraska. The whole idea of just recruiting locally makes no sense. Nebraska has always been a program that has had to recruit nationally. that has not changed. Well done. Eric says this.
Starting point is 00:02:39 How many players, he asked a question, how many players from Nebraska are on top 25 teams currently and how much are they playing on those teams? Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Get them here. Get them here. Get the best one's here.
Starting point is 00:02:57 And then go. It's the shopping, we made the analogy. during the break. Alabama shops, when they need... Alabama doesn't shop. Alabama gets home delivered. Well, they get home delivered,
Starting point is 00:03:12 but they get home delivered fresh, the best steak available. So they'll call Nebraska, have somebody cut it for them the way they want to their dimensions, the cut they want, and have it flown immediately to Alabama. Slaughter it that day.
Starting point is 00:03:24 For just Alabama's perusal. It's got the Alabama, like it's got the logo. Right. And then the fresh farm fresh, right? They're getting the best corn. flown in from Nebraska to Alabama for their own perusal at the front door. They will look over it. They will select what they want.
Starting point is 00:03:42 And then say, you know what? Send the rest of this to LSU. Good. They can take it. Send this. I don't want it. If they want ice cream, they're going to bring the ice cream maker, the best ice cream maker there is.
Starting point is 00:03:53 In the country. In the country. And they're going to bring him to Alabama. And he's going to make ice cream the best ice cream exactly the way Alabama wants it. Two drops of vanilla. Right. Now, what I would say is that Nebraska, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, and the steak providers that they have, you know what? They should have the best in the steak and they should be delivered right down here to North State.
Starting point is 00:04:19 It should. Should. Is that being done? Are the best stakes getting delivered? What was it? What was it? They should be. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Should be. Okay. Uh, best corn. It's out there. Best corn. It's definitely out there. Best corn. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:33 So nobody should have better corn. No. Right? Iowa has bad corn. Right? And nobody should prepare corn better. Not in the slightest. Right?
Starting point is 00:04:41 Nope. Now, if you took the best steak Nebraska makes and you gave it to the 138th best chef in the state in the country. I think it's going to turn out very well. Not the same as the best chef in the country. No. A little different. Just slightly different. We understand that, right?
Starting point is 00:05:02 Just a smidge. Crap beer makers? Some pretty good ones in the state, right? They're out there. Yeah. Yeah. Are they being hand-delivered to the stadium? They are not.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Rishan Jackson's up next. I'm going to hand this over to him, let him work it out. He's got a plan for everything. He really does. That's right, Mark Ron Wally. We shout out good beer here on the ticket. We really do. We're about good beer.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Y'all be good. Rishon Jackson's up next. Captain. Buckle up. I think he's coming in.
