But that is okay as we get the taste test going for amigos. We got a special guest in Carly Riddle jumping in from Amigos. Carly, welcome. This is your radio debut. Is that correct? It is. Yeah.

Excellent. Excellent. So we'll have some fun here. You can kind of help us through our new menu items from Amigos. Jake Sorenson and Austin Orban, also in the building here to test out some of these new menu items. Jake, how's it go? Good. I told Carly that I have probably spent several thousand dollars in my lifetime of Amigos. So this is great to have some new options to try out. I love Amigos. I have been a fan.

As you guys have talked about this segment. I ate there probably three times a week minimum in college at this downtown, which is no longer there. So Amigos is in my blood, literally. It's like hooked into my blood. So this is awesome. This is awesome. Yeah, pumped up. Absolutely. Like it is. I mean, we did spend the first segment talking about him because you can do this, right? Yeah. I mean, absolutely. Everybody's got their memories and ties in here with Lincoln locally. Carly, what did we, what do we bring in here today? We've got some new cassidia tacos with there are different options. We have Tex-Mex, Supreme Southwest Chicken and State. And then we also brought in our new frosted lemonade and

limineys. Right here. Man, this is strawberry, right? Yeah, strawberry cherry and blue raspberry. So you get to choose if you want lemonade or lime made and then you get to choose what flavoring you are. I'm going to take a sip with the strawberry one. Which do you choose? Carly, you lemonade or limine made? I've only tried the lime made and it was pretty good. So, yeah. That's good.

Yeah. That's really good. Strawberry off the bat, really strong. Good. Love to hear it. This tastes like my childhood. It brings you back to the better time. It really tastes like my childhood.

That's what we guys do. We should give you some strawberries, see if that tastes. like your stress. Well, are you, you're more just the blue jericho. So let me ask you guys here. We got bags from Carly from Amigos. As you mentioned,

Bach, Supreme, Tex-Mex, steak, and Southwest. Which one would you like to try first, Austin? What do you want? Oh, surprise me. They're all going to be good, so why do I have to pick?

Then you get this right here. Get it out. You can do it, Jake. There we can do it. What we're working with here? Is the Tex-Mex-Mex-Tac-Tac-C-Tac-C-Taco. Oh, there we go. Classic Taco.

Okay. Tex-Mex, okay. Cacidia. Taco. All right. Now, before I get it to want to Bach, I have to ask.

I'm very hungry. Were you involved in the creation of the idea, Carly, of the cassidia taco? You know, I really wish I was, but I was not. Oh,

you could claim that right now, though. But which one you want? Stake Southwest Supreme or Tex-Mex? He's had Tex-Mex. So, Ely, Southwest.

South-W. Yeah, that sounds good. Why can you get the wrap around? Okay, right here. There is. Pass it down to Bach.

And if these menu items are already available in stores? Yes. Yeah. Okay. So it says the outside of this item is like a cheesy grilled cassidia. Then there's the crisp corn taco shell inside. Yeah.

You've had these already. Yes. Yeah. Your fan. Oh, definitely. What, how many would, should we have like two or three at a time? Like what people get like two of these? You're going to get to six anyways.

That's a good question. Just like on the menu of like, like, you know, number 10 or something like that, the menu or not? No. It's more of like on a promotional. emotional panel. Got it. So it's front center. You can't miss it when you come in.

Okay. Austin, first thoughts on the. This text mix just tastes like what I think of with Amigos. I'm a big crisp meat burrito guy, big soft taco guy. This is like the best of both worlds. This is great. Holy smokes.

I'm usually a soft taco guy. So I get a soft tortilla tortilla in there as well. This is like, yeah, this is cool. This just boils down to like my amigos experience growing up. That's what this does. This Tex-Mex. I get the steak one here.

I'm going to take it by the steak. Thank you for not. Oh, you spelled it. Jay. Uh-oh. Backe and I kept it clean. Leave it to early break. Leave it to early break. That's just like a permanent smile.

Like Austin says, it's like, you know, that's, everything you could dream of is right there at Taco, right? Like, that's perfect. Soft shell, hard shell, steak. You got the classy, you want to class up, we go with the steak? Yeah. I got the every man.

They're all classy. They're all classy. But like steak is, yeah, it's. you know, it's prime. It's good. I'm going to join this. I could have a lot of these right now. Yeah. But I don't want to. I know we're on radio so I can't just like devour this. I know. You got to be respectful here. Put a content warning label over it or we'd be in trouble. That's true. Also, I got the Southwest one here. I also think they could be somewhat feeling.

You ask how many you could eat. Certainly you could. You could go down that route. Don't get me wrong. But I'm also saying, I mean, I don't know that you'd have to. Yeah. They got to figure out. It was a steak in this one. I'm pretty jacked about this one. Supreme chorizo and bacon. Now that's electric too. Oh yeah. Which one is your favorite?

Out of the four options. Yeah. I'm going to say the Tex-Mex has a really good flavor. Yeah. Consistent. I chose the best one for you apparently. You did. Well, they're all the best one.

They are the best one. But tonight you get Tex-Mex. I have to take another bite. I can't wait anymore. I'm digging the steak one. If I had round two, which I will probably off the air. I'll probably go with the Southwest one like Bach has over.

Now, is this like March Madness where we're slowly going to eliminate one from the and then there's going to be one winner at the end that stays on board? They're all winners. These all stick around and stay. We need to know. All right right now? Yeah, they are. And we need to know what the favors are always. So if you want to rank them, I mean,

we're here for it. I will say, is there other items with steak on the menu at Amigos? I've never had steak there before. Yeah, I think there is like maybe with the build it. Build it. Yeah. Yeah. I see I always went with the chicken. And the chicken's incredible. I'm sure the sticks great too, but I always went with the chicken in my 500 that I've had in my lifetime.

Classic. But this might be the new standard here, Austin. Well, I see this has to be like the Amigos drink. They got the perfect blue and yellow. Yeah. Like if there's a poster drink for Amigos, I mean,

I know some people would like drink the ranch, which is not me. I don't know. I'm not doing that psycho. I know it has a great reputation or whatnot. And sure, I'll use it, but this is like the perfect quintessential

Amigos drink with the blue with the yellow. on top with the new items. Oh my gosh. Well, it's kind of unique too because there's ice cream on the top, which is I haven't even got to the, I don't know whether to mix it in or to try to get the ice cream from the top. What would you say, Carly? I think it's personal preference.

Yeah. I think mixing it in is a little better, but. Yeah, I'm going to try that. I'll mix, man. I just took bite number two of the steak taco. And bite one was good. I got all the flavors and bite two, Austin. Talk is through it.

Yeah. Like the first bite was good. Now I got into the actual taco, the case of the taco itself. And it's like a game changer here. Like, how can I get a regular taco now after this? Which I could because also, they're still great to meet guys. But this is the next level stuff. I think we've got, you know, already two people saying this takes.

like their childhood, basically. So I don't know how you can get any better than that. And like I said, I mean, this is, this is fantastic. You mentioned earlier. I'm a soft taco guy, much like Austin. You got to get some of that taste. You still get the mego soft taco with this. And it is, again, just absolutely delicious.

And four delicious flavors, like you said, Jake, I'm going to try some of these other ones here once we go off there, unless we just want to savage. Just start eating, yeah. You are from Lincoln. Is that correct? Yes, I am. UNL graduate, sounds like. Yep. And been with Amigos for how long? Two years. Two incredible years. Oh, absolutely.

And Jan is awesome. She really is. So you office out of the 14th and Corneraster our Highway 2 location? Yes. Okay. Do you ever like visit to other locations to see how are they going?

Check in, say. Yeah, every once in a while. Or we'll do like a photo shoot. So we'll go to a different location. And so yeah, we're kind of traveling back and forth. Okay. Did you also spend more than your college tuition on Amigos like Jake did? You know, I was.

No regrets either. No, no, I was kind of out in Ashley Heights area, which we have one out there. So yes, definitely. Yeah. But again, that one downtown here that's closed, they would open that back up. I'd be, I'd be going there probably twice a week again like I used to. Let me bring back. Your turn 10 minute walk into a seven minute walk.

Yeah. Oh, I would. I'd run over there if I had to. I miss amigos down the town so much. It's so great. But we do do delivery too. You do. So you got to think about that.

These are worth your delivery for sure. Get them to your place. I mean, I feel like I need to see the map. Because I think I've been to every amigo's in town. How many? You know, how many there are in Lincoln or not? In Lincoln, there's 13. I've definitely hit them all.

Yeah, 13. Got them off. I've hit the current one. And the ones that have changed to different places are shut down. So that's probably up to like 20 at some point. Oh, for sure. So I've hit them all. All right.

Jake, we have we have the map pulled up here. Okay, you can work through this here. I look through it. I mean, the one of the highlands for sure, been too many times. Yep, that's mine.

I claim that. Is this air park amigos? Is that where that said? Yeah, that'd be the Ashley Heights. Have been there. Yeah, definitely have died of that one before. The one over here, that's, that's,

that's, oh, 84th in holders. Yeah. Yep, Ben there. Probably about 100 times that drive through. Yeah, that's the easy one. Up north, 27th. Is that what that is? That's my neck of the woods.

Up there 27th in Folquoise. There's Amigos up there? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I'm familiar. Hang on. Have I been to that? You used to live on Redstone. If you didn't go there. I'm trying to figure out with this.

Don't tell me you missed it when you were six blocks away. 27th and Polkways. Like over by the Ruby Tuesday up there? No, it's further north. Or Fletcher. Oh, Fletcher, yeah, Fletcher, sorry,

Fletcher, yeah. I've been there a million times. They used to live up there. Yep, definitely been to that one. Yeah. This one here, I don't, I mean, they all look familiar to me.

So I'm going to say I have been to every single amigos in the Lincoln vicinity. They used to have one in Beatchrist too. They brought back a food truck of Amigos and Beatrix, which I also have dined at. Well, Jake moved away from Biatras, so am I don't have a bit, which is just such a shame.

In high school, I gave a lot of business, too. I feel like I'm kind of a shareholder of amigos at this point. I like to be. We love it. I'll talk to Chan about that. Well, I'm a TACO holder of him, so that's really what matters to me. You are.

Incredible stuff. Carly, this has been a delight. We appreciate you bringing in this incredible food. Oh, absolutely. And, you know, hope you don't feel bad that we ate it in front of you. No, I'm so glad you did. I've had it before.

But we're trying to try this out and see how it is and just prove it's delightful. We want actual instant reaction to this food. Yes, definitely. And I know, too, one of the, you know, we're here for the, you know, we're here for the, promotional items, which are fantastic. But one of my favorite things about Amigos, too, is you guys have got these daily deals every day. So every time I go to Amiga's got at least check that out

to even get a deal on that. So yeah, there's no bad choices at Amigos, certainly not these new cassidya tacos. I used to go there in the days when they had like the chicken soft tacos on special. Because you save a lot of money on those. Oh, yeah. And this is probably a weekly occurrence for four years in a row. I didn't miss. What? What? Stop. See now. Life's changed. I need to obviously get back on track. Yeah.

13 locations. Sometimes you lose our way in life. Now it's time to get reminded to get back to where we need to be. Bring the lost sheep home. The sheep needs to come home for sure. I got to bring it back to amigos. I can only imagine how labor intensive putting one of these cassadia tacos together, even the frost of lemonade as well.

I can only assume the service stays just as quick as always. Oh, yeah. They're always doing their best. Now, you missed the previous segment because Nick was in my seat and and Nick told you all fair that he was a manager at the 70th and A amigos when he was like 15 or 16 years old. That's amazing. And he still stands by the fact Amigos was great then. It's great now. He just ate that is he just chugged that blue raspberry he guzzled that thing. It's gone. It's like I got to work. Watch out for a brain freeze with

how delicious is. You do. I'm concerned about his mental being. He's going to survive. That's kind of scary. Yeah, that's great. We have, um, workers that have, um, workers that have been with Amigos forever and always new ones too. So yeah, always working together. We have the Amigos, cassidia tacos, marinated steak, which I had incredible. Tex-Mex. Oh, yeah. Yep.
