Starting point is 00:00:00 Back to one-on-one with D.P. Sponsored by the Downtown Lincoln Foundation on 93-7 the ticket. I apologize for going over. Bach, I owe you better than that. Oh, you better than that. Look, I'm a pro. I'm supposed to be out on time. Get distracted.
Starting point is 00:00:25 I get distracted. It's a thing, right? I have to be on. And Crowbite says, yeah, dang a DP, how dare you have an opinion? Yeah, it's not like it's on the on the marquee. Like, listen, and I don't know, my wife has loved me unlike any human on the planet. And she disagrees with me 50% of the time. I don't know anybody that thinks all of my opinion.
Starting point is 00:00:57 are good opinions. I don't know anybody. I've never met anybody who thought my opinions were good opinion. But they're my opinions. And here's the thing about my opinions, which, and I think,
Starting point is 00:01:12 which gives me more confidence in what I say, right? Because I can speak about my opinion on how I feel about a thing. Because of what I know about the thing. What I've actually experienced about the thing. I can't say the coaches should set rules
Starting point is 00:01:32 that coaches can't follow as if I haven't coached. How about that? How about that? How about sitting in those committee rooms where rule discussion is had? By the power brokers, whether it be commissioners or pro leagues, statewide athletic directors,
Starting point is 00:01:54 parent boards, where safety is of the, the utmost consideration, and in those rooms, what I carry with me are scars, which say there is a faction of people who, quite frankly, doesn't think fighting should be a part of sports, unless the sport is fighting. And I'm not telling you how to feel about fighting in sports. I asked Bach the question about fighting in sports.
Starting point is 00:02:29 And Bach, repeat your opinion, sir. Well, I think it shouldn't be tolerated in most any sport. I would say that hockey would be an exception for me. That was kind of, I think, maybe where people, or maybe that text are disagreed with you. But, you know, it's, again, it's your opinion. And that's an opinion that is, I mean, debated about in hockey.
Starting point is 00:02:55 It is. It's not just a straight answer one way or the other. You know, many hockey fans have their own opinion about it. Well, cigar guy says this. Ready for this, Bob? Mm-hmm. To be fair, there's no fighting in NCAA hockey. Hey, Bob, there's no fighting.
Starting point is 00:03:20 There's no crying in baseball. There's no crying in baseball. I'm with the NHL. Are you crying? It's not a part of the game unless you make it a part of the game. Second hour, what I want coming up.
