You're listening to one-on-one with D.P.
On 93-7 The Ticket and the Ticketfm.com.
You're all the wild.
Back in the black shirt coming up.
Textline you've been acceptable.
Bone says you need to bring a dog to the ticket day.
But John brings this dog, like, there are folks who bring the dogs back.
And I'm all for it.
I'm all for it.
Plenty of room, plenty of room outside.
in the space, in the space.
You know, and listen, if the argument is that dogs are not children,
or dogs are not human, while fair and truth, it's factual, it's factual.
But anybody that's ever had a dog knows that dog love is unconditional love,
and it's not, maybe that, I mean, that's why they make a move without dogs go to
because dogs will love you in a in a way that we wish humans.
I mean, there are people who would rather be around,
what's the mantra?
I would rather spend time with the dog than humans
because dogs love in a way that humans don't always master.
Dogs will love their human.
And whether the human calls them, you know,
whether it calls themselves parent or dad or mom or family or whatever,
that dogs being loved and the way dogs love,
it's its own space.
It's a unique and different kind of deal.
So that's why dog people are there.
Bach, you're telling me we have a call.
Yeah, we got Husker Biker on the line.
There we go.
Bring them in.
What's up today?
Hey, how are you all doing?
Doing well.
I got to take an exception.
with Austin's comments there.
I'm at it.
All right.
Well, I have a big old F-350 diesel Ford truck,
and guess what?
My little 14-pound having these fur balls sits on my lap when I drive.
And I used to make fun of those guys,
but at the same time,
I think I have more anxiety when I'm away from my dog on vacation
than the dog has for me.
Take some
Vanicks
Yeah
Dogs
Dogs are wonderful people
They're the best people
They are the best
They don't care what you do wrong
They don't care what you do right
They love you unconditionally
So I get
I get something wrong
And my wife says
You know
She didn't like that
My dog doesn't say that
Listen
But I've had dogs
had dogs that judged me, but the way they judged me was love. Right? Like they judged me.
Yes. That, that unconditional love, if people want to identify, and I'll say this to people
understand, dogs love humans in a way that humans haven't grown to yet. Humans aren't that good
at heart. No, they're not. If I'm on a desert island, I don't want another.
human with me. I want a dog.
One hundred.
Listen, the dog will,
the dog will listen. The dog
will stay by your side. The dog will protect
and defend you. The dog will share
whatever, whatever kind of day you're
having, whatever goodies you have the dog.
Dog's not judgy.
I was like, hey, what are we
doing today? And I've
said this. Thank you
for the call and God bless you and your 14
pound love. That's
that's exceptional. Thank you for sharing that.
Bach, it's this.
Becky and I spent a lot of time
rescuing and fostering dogs.
And these were dogs that had either gone through trauma
who'd been abused, whatever it was.
And the love of those dogs,
the way those dogs love when they were loved,
is the example for how the best humanity would be.
That to have a dog that,
no matter what kind of day you had, Bob,
your dog is waiting at the door to love you.
Simple.
He's waiting, no matter what,
what great thing could happen that day while you were gone.
The next great thing or the best thing in your dog's day is the moment you walk in the
thing. Think about that. Think about how precious that is. And again, in my rescues,
here's what I can tell you. When I had my major jury and I was in ICU, when I came home and I was
in bed and I literally was bedridden, we had a rescue. We had a foster who,
would lay on my chest to let me know I was okay
and that he was okay and that we were there together.
And he would watch tea with me and I would put a ballgame on.
And his favorite days were the days that when I was laying in bed watching football.
And he would bark when a team scored.
Like he would bark when team scored.
And listen, Becky would bring it a meal.
She'd put it on a tray and set it on the bed.
And the dog would move to the other side because he knew
hey man, I don't want to be on the food.
But he also knew
a green bean was going to come to him and he was
going to have the moment of his day or a potato
chip or a piece
of the piece of bread or a biscuit.
They're our best humanity, man.
You know, feel how you feel.
I'm a dog person. I really am.
Man, that is a take take. Boy, my goodness.
Bach, what are you and the black shirt going to talk
about today? Yeah, we'll break down the
the press conference that just happened kind of think over what's going on there.
Certainly we'll look into a little bit more of the Akron week.
We've got some college football storylines, some NFL storylines to get to.
What's going on with Kauai Leonard?
Yeah, that's a story.
That is the story behind the scenes, finding out what's going on there.
Appreciate you all hanging out for two hours.
Greatly appreciate you.
Enjoy your Thursday.
Enjoy NFL season as it kicks off tonight.
I will be around later this evening.
So the ticket will go until midnight.
So we'll be around.
Enjoy the rest of your new Thursday.
And be like a dog.
Love, absolutely.
