And you can jump on the app,

The app brings it to you each day.
You can catch the downloads later, right?
Once they're archived, you put them up there.
You can go get them.
But from a numbers game, yeah.
We have 900 subscribers, 931.
That's a little low.
More.
It's a little low.
Tons of folks are on Facebook, so job done there.
You need to get that done.
a couple of things to get into into the space.
In case you haven't been paying attention,
there's some nighttime programming here on ticket weeknights.
And most of those folks are young,
those are young Huskers,
those are Husker student athletes who,
one, they're excelling in the sport,
but they're also excelling in the classroom and at life.
And a big part, a big thing that's,
happened in dealing with these student athletes is watching them mature and expand and grow
and become more secure and what they do.
One of said people is a diver.
She's a young lady from the Woodlands, Texas, who a self-professed introvert,
so much so that up until recently she refused to even drive through a drive-through by
yourself to order.
Right?
And these are the fantastic stories that come on.
You understand the path that some of these student athletes go through to become functional
and good.
But throughout the course of her show, the first year of her show, what happens in these
shows is that we're now getting to know these student athletes on a human level.
And talented and gifted as they are, they have other things.
They are not identified just.
through their sport and what they do.
They are complete human beings.
There need to be humanized.
And this young lady one night just in passing said,
hey, I need to miss a show because I've got this audition.
And I was like, oh, I'm thinking this is like, you know,
she's acting and that sort of thing.
And then I said, no, what, what are you auditioning for?
And she says, well, there's a solo in this,
this at this performance and I kind of want the solo well I leaned in like wait a minute wait a minute
solo's like for the people people these are for the ones right and I said are you any good and she goes
that was kind of her response yeah you know well two weeks later she let me know that she got it
she goes I got the I got the solo and I high-fived and then it was immediately she said well
It's probably not your thing, but would you be interested in coming to watch me sing?
And I'm like, yeah, sure.
Lead center sort of deal.
Yeah, I'll be there.
Not knowing what to expect.
But I know because of the facility, you know, I kind of dress up.
I march down there.
I sit in the very back, right?
Because I don't really want to be a focused thing.
I want to be away from it.
And I know she's nervous, like she's nervous.
And it's a choir and 20 pieces, 20 voices.
And you're close enough where you can sort of identify the voice.
But this is just her speaking voice versus her singing voice.
And you're going, okay, that's not her, that's not her, that's not her.
But then, but then, Rico, there's a moment where she hits the on button.
and you go
what is going on here
what is happening
the young lady is
Reagan Hensie
Nebraska swimming down
and
I'm a fan of people
who have talents that I don't and this young lady
can flat out sing
Rico can you find
that's what I've been looking for I think I just found it
yeah
Rico if you would
please give us that
Rico, so she wasn't even a singing major.
She wasn't even a music major.
Goosepubs.
And wait until you get, like, there's a part where she hits the turbo button
and does that thing where you all go, wait a minute.
This is one of your huskers.
She's the best diver in the program.
But are you telling me that that...
He's also the best singer in the program?
But are you telling me that their kids,
their kids in the athletic department who are just walking around holding this sort of talent?
that we don't even talk about?
I dare you.
That you don't even talk about it.
No matter what happens.
In swimming and diving, this young lady should be, like,
the state of Nebraska and the university should be putting this on a pedestal now,
like right now, to say, listen,
not only is she one of the best divers in the Big Ten conference and in the country,
but guess what?
She's going to make us proud decades later by doing this.
By doing this, are you kidding me?
So,
she did a show Monday night.
And of course,
her shows Monday night at 9 o'clock.
And she came in,
she was talking about it.
And her mom called in.
And her mom has been really vocal in that,
listen,
for somebody that's that shy,
like who wouldn't drive through a drive-through by herself.
Like,
she would rather starve than go with the,
deal with the angst of going through a drive-thru by herself.
Like that's not funny,
but that's funny.
So when she tells her mom that, hey, the station owner says, you know, I'd be really going on radio.
And he walked me through it.
And she's like, you don't even like to talk.
Radio was talking.
So her growth has been that now she handles this thing by herself.
Like she comes in.
She knows all the leads.
She loves, right?
She loves being able to share parts of herself and challenge herself.
Like this was a major bridge for her to cross to be able to sit in front of her.
microphone and be able to deal with this thing, right?
And then you go, wait a minute.
Why aren't we doing more of it?
Like all the shows that we have studentalities,
most of them will do like karaoke and say that they can sing and other.
And I can also tell you,
we got another one because Kenzie Davis from the gymnastics team can sing.
And I mean, heard a teammate where there's a video of them on social media of them
harmonizing in their dorm room.
And I was like, let's go.
let's go
like I'm all for that
so
here's what we
we we broached
the other night
was that
Reagan should be singing
the national anthem
at Husker events
right
Reagan like
you imagine like we want her
singing the anthem in Oklahoma
versus Oklahoma
yes
like we want that
yes
Like we want her singing
That's that's right 14 points right there
Oh look look when you walk her out there
Where in the husker colors in her gear
And she stands at a 50-hour line and says
Listen this is who we are
And sets that stadium on fire
Not anybody from outside
Not some random person who's going to sing
Look somebody within the program
Somebody within the program and say listen
This is how we get down
This is how we do that.
So I wanted to take today, I wanted to take this segment to say this.
First of all, I need for all of y'all to find Reagan Hensie on social media.
Go to Twitter, go to Instagram, find Reagan Hensie, H-I-N-Z-E, Reagan-H-N-Z-E.
Reagan-H-E-N-Z-E.
Go and find her and tell her what you've just heard.
I need for you to go, follow her,
friend her, whatever the thing needs to be done.
And then I want you to tag.
937 ticket and Reagan Hensie.
And the hashtag should be let Reagan sing.
You can add to it.
Let Husker Reagan sing.
Let Reagan Hensy sing.
Whatever way you want to do it.
Whatever way you want to do it.
Because if she sings at PBA,
Oh boy. Oh boy, right?
Hmm.
Right.
Opening day, basketball, men's and women's.
We're going to march her out there and let her do her thing.
That is a special talent.
That is a gifted young lady.
Look, we're proud of her and love her because of who she is.
Because she's a pure soul.
Like, this is a pure soul.
This young lady is just.
a pure soul.
But she's got that angst that privately student athletes carry, right?
And we think that, oh, she can get up on a 10-meter dive, flip, spin, hit on point,
not make a splash, just because she can do that, that she's comfortable in who she is
and proud of who she is.
I want this young lady to be proud of who she is.
I want her to be proud of who she is.
I want her to be proud of her skills.
I want to be proud of her talent.
And I want Husker fans to be proud of her as well.
because she's a Husker.
Just walking around with all this gift and glory.
And it's in the dark.
And if you were amongst the 200 people who heard her that night in that room,
you have an idea.
But guess what?
Husker Nation is bigger than that.
Much bigger.
It's much bigger than that.
Like there are events all over this town where you need singers and performers.
Well, listen, you've got to die.
over here who can knock your socks out and that's just her doing her thing i'm going to find i'm just
going to say it it's going to be good for her to do this outside of herself doing something bigger for
others think of the pride that will be present in the room when a husker student athlete
walks out there and opens that angelic voice up to sing for Husker Nation.
So again, find Reagan Hensie on social media.
Go on Twitter and say, hey, Reagan, heard your voice.
Say something to her.
But hashtag, let Reagan sing.
Do it.
I'm going to have Rico post that clip with the hashtag.
And he will, of course, we're going to open up your social media.
So you're going to have.
Oh, darn.
You're going to have all of Husker meter all over it.
But that's kind of what I want is for this young lady.
And there are others.
There are others in the program.
And I'm telling you, the same for Kenzie Davis.
I'm going to get you the clip so you can see what I'm talking about.
And I'm going to use it in the next segment of Kenzie Davis and teammate who just with guitars,
no modulators, no nothing.
And it's just them being them.
And it's so glorious, but we don't share it and we don't talk about it.
We get caught up in the other stuff.
Listen, there's plenty of time.
We'll talk Husker football, right?
We'll talk Husker volleyball.
We know, look, and just case and point, Husker volleyball is preparing the same way football is.
And guess what?
We're going to ride with them hard.
We're going to ride with them hard.
So I want you to also reach out because if you haven't paid attention,
to Nicolin Hames and Kenzie Knuckles
and them having the joyful fun that they have on this station
singing, doing karaoke.
Those two have too much fun.
Yeah, they have, right?
But to wonder why.
And also, shout out to Nicklin Hames.
Yeah.
Shout out to Nicolingham's.
We're going to pull some of those clips as well.
So the three features today, Reagan Hensie,
Kenzie Davis, and Nicolene Haines.
and I want you to understand something here.
Nicolin Hames is a part of a pioneer situation.
One of 15 female student athletes in the entire country.
Entire country.
One of 15 is a Nebraska Husker where Adidas set aside a paramount and futuristic NIL deal,
and they chose a Husker volleyball player.
our Nicolin Hames that we can be proud of to be a part of it
to highlight detail showcase and put on a paddle store.
Don't miss the good stuff.
We'll play the clip.
It's them with each with their own fashion style
from different assortments of Adidas gear that they can wear
and Nicolin has her own and they chose her and they go through
and they talk to her.
Listen, there's so much good to talk about.
We get lost being caught up in the minutia.
But here's the reality.
There are some exceptional young student athletes who are in this athletic department,
who are going to make this state and the alumni proud much longer than the plays they make on the field
and the dives that they make at a pool.
I'm just giving it to you because it's true to be said.
And mind you, they're all academic, all Americas, all big, all academic Big Ten.
They're all 4.0 folks who are out here just nailing 4.0s and then going competing at the highest level in the Big Ten conference.
I think the volleyball team had 11 all Big Ten academic all America.
Right.
So here's what we'll do.
We'll toward the break.
When we come back, I want you to hear Kenzie Davis.
And then I'm going to introduce.
I'm going to reload what Nicola Hames is doing with Adidas.
We'll do all that more here on one-on-one.
