You're listening to one-on-one with DP.
Presented by Beatrice Bakery.
On 93-7 The Ticket and the Ticket FM.com.
Final segment.
One-on-one, we'll hand it over to Rishon Jackson.
Mr. Johnson will join Rishon.
That's my guy.
That's going to be a good one.
Almost broke his hurdle record at Belf-U-S.
He almost doesn't count.
I know.
Sorry.
It doesn't count.
0.03.
and we're at that point now where people are tagging us and stuff just to tag us
good uh no not good bad stuff you know i mean like sports stuff you're having an event
like call us and partner with us in this rather than just tagging us and it that's
how that works um from the text line dpi i work second shift sorry i really get to hear you get a
fresh dose of VJ though.
Appreciate what you've done with the station.
And we're not done.
Thank you.
Those are kind words.
Look, look, we're trying to provide Lincoln sport coverage the way I think sports
fans deserve for it to be done.
Sports doesn't end at 6 o'clock.
It doesn't.
So having different voices, having different conversations.
And having student athletes and coaches actually,
give you their advantage and perspective.
I think that's pretty cool.
And look,
nobody else is doing 17 hours of sports
each day.
I think they're doing, some folks are doing it in a week.
We're doing it every day.
And I'm proud of that.
Don't ask me to be humble about that.
I'm proud.
It takes a lot of work to get that done.
So I'm appreciative and grateful.
I've got a staff that's willing to work
and put it in stuff
and student athletes that are running to be a part of it.
And if you don't think it has value and that it's good,
just pay attention to how many people are running towards it.
Like, I'm happy for them to give them voice,
to give them light, amplification.
But we're locally owned and locally run.
Ponder that for a second.
We don't have a national corporate chain that we have to answer to.
We are the chain.
We can cover whatever,
Husker sports we want to cover as much as we want.
If you want us to talk about it,
we want a creative space where we can talk about it for you and with you all day.
And you can come whenever you can show up,
join in whatever you want,
or you can go back and find the shows that you want to listen to.
And at any point during the day,
you can hit 93-7 ticket,
whether it's on your app, on Twitter, on Facebook, on Twitch,
on YouTube, on your car, on Spotify,
whatever your listening device,
whatever way you want to listen or watch,
all you have to do in any point of the day
is hit the button for Lincoln Sports,
for Husker Sports.
I like our lineup.
I'll take our lineup against anybody else's,
and I'm not mad at them.
Don't have to be.
I'm about us.
I'm about you.
I love.
what we're doing.
You're really going to love what we do next.
Joe says this for the text.
We'll read this one before we go.
Joe says, I like to nominate my one for putting
up to me for 19 years today.
You know me.
She's a real life hero.
Hey, Joe?
No true words have ever been said.
She's a hero.
Bravo, man.
Bravo.
You got to stop by anyway because I got something for
your daughter.
and now I have something for mama too.
Well done, kind sir.
She is worthy and deserving, as are you.
Final one, DP and crew, thank you.
Love the format.
Love the diverse thoughts and discussion.
Provides heat at times, but perfect.
We can disagree and still get along.
You don't even know the type of heat that DP has in his office.
Sir.
You think you think the heat on the radio is enough.
Sir.
Oh, buddy.
Captain's show coming up, Cluster Johnson, joys for Sean Jackson and Nick Sainert.
Don't go anywhere.
93-7 the ticket.
We hear.
We're going to be here.
