He went in, threw the lob, bounced it, went up, got it. Clear. Yeah, slammed it down. I thought maybe you were talking about he'd barely get up there and touch the rim. I was having fun of Price Sanford's dunk the other night. It looked like the dunks that I have when I would lower the rim and try to get there. And I'd touch the rim and it wouldn't, I wouldn't dunk it, but it would like hit the backboard and roll in. Of course, Price got in, you know, foul on that play.

I know he can clear, but that looks like, that looks like one of my dunks when I moved down to eight feet. Oh, we used to do, we used to do that. I was, I was, I was, I was bouncy. But not the tallest player. And we would do that thing that once I got out of, once I, actually, once I was in college, there was a court outside that had nine foot rims. And we would go down and play. And everybody, everybody wanted to get it in. I bet.

Right. everybody wanted to get it in just to realize what it was and I I always I hated the layup line because you know I was one yeah I mean I was a point guard so we had we had some big dudes who would just hang on the rib and you know I just go up to make sure my fingers touch the net right like I just like I just wanted to be in the space right just to let you know you know I can get up to rebound but I can't I can't do all that stuff and it was a hub Humbling every game. I always like the slap on the backboard while you're up there.

Oh, yeah, you know, just, you know, just, but it was, listen, you're just touching the rubber at the base of it. Like you're touching the protective pad. And it was like, oh, to let them know, there's so much child. Like I was an adolescent. Like I played as such, even in high school, I just wanted the folks to know that I could, I could jump. I could jump and I could never dunk and it bothered me. I would have dreams about dunking. Like,

and then I have to realize the next day that, oh, no, that was just a dream. I can't really dunk. That is, that is depressing. That's how you know it's a dream. Right. Wake up made way through the dunk.

Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Just to go through and go, what are we doing? You know, this is, this is, you know,

buddy, me and my buddy, we would go, we would play. And he was, he was also, like we were a nation of point guards. Like they were already, like we didn't allow the, the, the, the, the 6 foot twos and above to come play against us.

It was just a bunch of short. guys, right? Three balls and three balls and really good passing. You know, backdoor cuts and you know, giving go off the pick. But we got that nine footer and it was funny too that we were playing. I remember it was a Saturday morning and there were some ballers out there. And but it was point guards. It was just small guys. And we finished the game on an inbound alley-you. So inbounds on the baseline. And I'm sitting at the top of key. And the guy that was defending me came out and I just blew by him and went broke to the basket.

Now I'm just thinking he's going to bounce past it, right? Bounce past layup. Okay, ballgame. But he, the look on his face and it was Bach, it was so slow motion. Like the look on his face is like, yeah, I'm going to throw this up in the air. And I'm, why? I, sir, I don't, I don't go up there for that, right? I don't, it's in my head is like, I'll go up and catch it,

land and just bounce back up and put the layup pit. But I got up there and he threw it at the side of the, like, right over the rim. And I'm just like, oh no, this is my moment. This is my moment of all basketball, forget about the 21 point game of West Springfield. forget about the 17 against Lake Braddock. This dunk on a meaningless playground in a, in a pickup game was going to be my greatest basketball moment ever. And it was. I went up, got it, punched it. And Bach, let me tell you, for us short dudes to hang on the rim after an alleyube dunk, I was living someone else's life.

I was, but I get goosebumps right now just thinking about how lame it is for me to celebrate tuck it. You lameo. That. Oh, but Bach, it was a great matter.

Well, imagine if we did that just once in a while. Like, I'm fascinating like baseball in, in the Kansas City of Rural is just moving there. And that's what I love about baseball. It's just like one team can kind of move their outfield in. The other thing,

This is a statement for him. You see, Bailey versus number three, Brock Hardy. Bailey comes in ranked number 13, Hardy, number three. It's a pretty, you know, man, it's crazy. Jake Hockaday is listed as a possible.

So we'll see how that goes. pretty good. They love hockey. But Brock Hardy is Brock Hardy. There at 149, Rider Block comes in at number 10 against number 12 chance Lamar. And Lamer has maybe the largest upside

from where he is to where they think he will finish the season. He is a project towards Big Tenons and Nationals. So if he's currently at number 12, the expectation is that he, He gets All-America status and moves up into the top eight. At 157, it's number 11, Jordan Williams, against reigning, defending national champion, number five, Antroo Taylor.

This is a great matchup, I think, Advantage Taylor. At 165, number three, Mikey Calliando, versus number seven, LJ Arrugio. And I like the fact that LJ is, a different type of force, different type of wrestler at this weight class. He'll be an underdog, but I think this is one of those swing matches to figure out how this thing goes. I think this is a match that when the heavy weights take the floor or whenever the final,

whenever match 10 takes the floor, bonus points will come into play. and I don't think there's going to be much space. I think the last match number 10, whatever weight class that is based on the rotation, whatever match number 10 is, I think that may end up deciding who wins, who walks away with the win in this thing. So it's a big night.

Of course, we gave away tickets to women's basketball tomorrow against Illinois. Women's tennis got canceled. Kansas State doesn't have enough athletes. to compete, which is weird because they only need four. They have nine on the roster and they're injured. They're beat up. So they called her harmon and asked if they could cancel and postpone. And they did.

They'll try to reschedule. We'll figure that out. Men's tennis with a big one Sunday, 11 a.m. against Memphis, a strong Memphis team. And then they will bounce back and take on Drake at 5 o'clock.
